- 0:52Speaker 1: What's complex right next to the least band camp for invalids,
- 0:56Speaker 1: where we fix our technical difficulties with our feet, and
- 1:03Speaker 1: again we had to help a child with his penguin homework.
- 1:06Speaker 1: It's Sports Allegedly.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Welcome, welcome, welcome, Thank you everyone for joining us for
- 1:10Speaker 2: this episode of Sports Allegedly. Sewn am I right, I'm Kenny.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Thanks for taking your time to listen in and our
- 1:19Speaker 2: non stop talk of football, which is almost over. What
- 1:22Speaker 2: are we gonna talk about?
- 1:23Speaker 1: Oh my god, but coming out?
- 1:25Speaker 2: Oh yes, January thirteenth. They did their draft January? Is
- 1:29Speaker 2: it fourteen, twenty twenty six? I'm a day behind me. Yeah,
- 1:33Speaker 2: there we go, Episode episode five. All right, we're gonna
- 1:36Speaker 2: talk a lot of NFL playoffs and highlight a little
- 1:41Speaker 2: bit of basketball, not college, just NBA. Just smidch, just
- 1:46Speaker 2: a little smitch about the thunder. You know, we gotta
- 1:48Speaker 2: get the basketball warmed up. You're gonna start watching some game, Sean,
- 1:51Speaker 2: because football is almost over.
- 1:52Speaker 1: I'll just watch hockey.
- 1:53Speaker 2: But we only got one watch. We only got one
- 1:57Speaker 2: one more game to settle it on the field for
- 2:01Speaker 2: the NCAA Championship. And who would have thought.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Hold on, does my hair look like Mike Gundy's right.
- 2:07Speaker 2: Now, and you're about as gray. You really growing up lately.
- 2:12Speaker 2: But anyway, so it's distress.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Of watching the Bears, watching the Bears.
- 2:20Speaker 2: So we got college football Miami Indiana. What a freaking
- 2:25Speaker 2: game this is gonna be? And we'll just talk about
- 2:28Speaker 2: We'll talk about the previous games last week, we'll talk
- 2:31Speaker 2: a little bit about that. But my thinking is is
- 2:33Speaker 2: who would have thought? I mean, I knew Miami was
- 2:36Speaker 2: building something. Indiana was good last year. I didn't think
- 2:40Speaker 2: they need this good this year.
- 2:42Speaker 1: I know that a lot of OU fans are all
- 2:44Speaker 1: worried about losing Venables when I said we should have
- 2:46Speaker 1: gotten Signetty two years ago. And I know a lot
- 2:50Speaker 1: of people were scared of Venables defense. I'd be scared
- 2:53Speaker 1: of Indiana's defense, I know.
- 2:54Speaker 2: And I kind of wonder, do you? And Okay, so
- 2:57Speaker 2: he's the hottest coach right now, obviously, is this a
- 2:59Speaker 2: long term thing for.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Him at Indiana? Yeah? I don't.
- 3:03Speaker 2: You don't think he fits the NFL model at all.
- 3:05Speaker 1: I know that they talked about him going to the
- 3:07Speaker 1: Raiders or something, but I don't know that he wants
- 3:09Speaker 1: to do that. I think you might have learned from
- 3:10Speaker 1: Saban not to do that. If you're not that guy
- 3:15Speaker 1: that's been around those egos and able to coach those egos,
- 3:20Speaker 1: then you just want to stay there with the kids
- 3:24Speaker 1: and you know, keep where you can keep their egos
- 3:27Speaker 1: in check. And I don't know if you've ever noticed
- 3:30Speaker 1: Indiana all season since Signette's gotten there. They go out,
- 3:35Speaker 1: they don't do weird social media post, they go play football,
- 3:39Speaker 1: they get done, they get off the field. It's it's
- 3:44Speaker 1: it's been, it's it's it's It's a team that I
- 3:46Speaker 1: wish that that Oh you had, where you just go out,
- 3:50Speaker 1: you play football, and you get off the field.
- 3:52Speaker 2: Well, he's got an older team, he's got a lot
- 3:55Speaker 2: of his JMU guys still playing. Run same coaches, you know,
- 3:59Speaker 2: those coaches like we talked about busy trying to do
- 4:02Speaker 2: two jobs. Coach them as coordinators, be a head coach,
- 4:06Speaker 2: and their first head coaching job, which is even harder
- 4:09Speaker 2: because you've got to try to.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Well, he went into school with no aspirations of ever
- 4:15Speaker 1: winning a Big Ten title or winning a national title,
- 4:20Speaker 1: and now look at them. Two years later, they are,
- 4:25Speaker 1: They're in the national title and they've won the Big
- 4:27Speaker 1: Ten for the first time since what nineteen fifty six
- 4:30Speaker 1: or something sixty one, and they're playing for their very
- 4:34Speaker 1: first title. You know, that's ever ever. But and that
- 4:41Speaker 1: says a lot to him and how he coaches his
- 4:44Speaker 1: how he manages his coaches and manages the kids and
- 4:48Speaker 1: manages the game along with I mean even at even
- 4:53Speaker 1: look at Crystal Ball and look at what he's done
- 4:57Speaker 1: with that team. Everybody had them out at Texas A
- 4:59Speaker 1: and m everybody had them out against Ole Miss.
- 5:05Speaker 2: Well, now, crist Of Baal, he wears on me a little.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Bit, he does. But whole you got to you got
- 5:14Speaker 1: to give it up for his assistance. Who are who
- 5:16Speaker 1: are coaching?
- 5:17Speaker 2: And don't forget he did get fired from Florida International,
- 5:20Speaker 2: you know, when he was his head coach before. So
- 5:22Speaker 2: it's not like I know, but it's not like he's
- 5:24Speaker 2: been generational. And then he got gifted the Oregon job
- 5:27Speaker 2: after Taggart went to Florida State and then leaves there
- 5:31Speaker 2: and goes to Miami because it is his man.
- 5:34Speaker 1: I get that. Yeah, I forgot. I'd forgotten I'd watched
- 5:37Speaker 1: him play there, do I now I've forgotten that I'd
- 5:41Speaker 1: watched him play there.
- 5:43Speaker 2: So I'm I have not seen anything at at all
- 5:51Speaker 2: for Signetti's history. It's all been college rice quarterback coach.
- 5:57Speaker 1: He went to Austin p I UP. They were I
- 6:00Speaker 1: UP and that's where his dad coached that field at
- 6:02Speaker 1: i U P.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Yes, that was pretty cool.
- 6:04Speaker 1: He's named after his dad because his dad was the
- 6:06Speaker 1: longest I UP coach.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Yes, that's since coach there five years, and then.
- 6:10Speaker 1: Went to ely On and then went to jam U.
- 6:13Speaker 2: Is that how you pronounced that?
- 6:15Speaker 1: Okay? Yeah? Was it iu p u I? And then
- 6:19Speaker 1: went to Eleon and then went to James Madison.
- 6:22Speaker 2: Fifty three and seventeen at I UP and then he
- 6:26Speaker 2: goes twenty seven. I'm sorry he finished. It was his
- 6:33Speaker 2: first everyone over el I'm trying to think what his
- 6:35Speaker 2: actual head coach there it is there. He was fourteen
- 6:39Speaker 2: and nine at Elon and then took over James Madison.
- 6:46Speaker 1: And one you know, yeah, look at the three things
- 6:49Speaker 1: didn't win.
- 6:50Speaker 2: It didn't win a championship in the Colonial. Then went
- 6:52Speaker 2: to the Sun Belt Conference eight and three and then
- 6:54Speaker 2: eleven and one went to the Armed Forces Bowl.
- 6:58Speaker 1: Yeah. The first year they weren't allowed to do anything
- 7:01Speaker 1: because they just came in the league. Oh gotcha.
- 7:04Speaker 2: I can see that.
- 7:05Speaker 1: They just came into the CFP.
- 7:08Speaker 2: No, it's been impressive. I mean he's twenty six and two.
- 7:11Speaker 1: In Indiana c CFPP.
- 7:14Speaker 2: But okay, so he does everything right, I get it.
- 7:19Speaker 1: I get it.
- 7:20Speaker 2: It's it's and it really is. It's he preaches the fundamentals.
- 7:22Speaker 2: I mean, and it's all coach speaking. We hear about
- 7:24Speaker 2: it in the media, bulb, but it really is. They
- 7:26Speaker 2: don't funck shit up, that's exactly. And it's both sides.
- 7:30Speaker 1: Of the ball. They are like a machine.
- 7:32Speaker 2: It's like two. It's like a train. It's like a
- 7:35Speaker 2: train going one way and then when they got to
- 7:37Speaker 2: go back, it goes the same way. On defense, offense, defense,
- 7:39Speaker 2: I mean, and it's and everything about it. I mean,
- 7:41Speaker 2: I think they led the league in what turnover margin
- 7:45Speaker 2: over second and then they don't have that. Their first fumble,
- 7:48Speaker 2: their last fumble was like I don't know if they
- 7:50Speaker 2: fumbled in this game. I probably should look at that
- 7:51Speaker 2: before say anything. But their first their last fumble was
- 7:55Speaker 2: like play eighteen in the first game of the year.
- 7:58Speaker 2: So every thing they do, you know, and we'll talk
- 8:03Speaker 2: about this.
- 8:04Speaker 1: We're talking about uh did, but he didn't. He didn't
- 8:08Speaker 1: lose him. Uh no. Uh so I'm talking number ninety seven.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Bumbles lost, had none, so he got both.
- 8:16Speaker 1: That's crazy.
- 8:19Speaker 2: So no, I mean, did they just do everything right?
- 8:21Speaker 2: And like we talked about, I don't have the stats
- 8:22Speaker 2: in front of it, but they were top six or
- 8:24Speaker 2: seven defense and offense together. Now people are starting to
- 8:28Speaker 2: talk about Mendoza, what kind of quarterback he's going to be.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Some I've heard some compare him to Sam Bradford. I
- 8:35Speaker 2: think that he he's a little bit better than that.
- 8:38Speaker 2: He is a system guy. But I mean there's been
- 8:41Speaker 2: you know, I take a guy that plays hard smart
- 8:45Speaker 2: where we used to look at.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Did you see how far he threw the ball?
- 8:49Speaker 2: You know, where he's got the body, how big his
- 8:52Speaker 2: hand isn't there but his arm but yeah, and his
- 8:55Speaker 2: hand is huge and he could throw it six big hands.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Yeah. No, Mendoza comes in and he does he does
- 9:03Speaker 1: his job.
- 9:04Speaker 2: Fifty six twenty two against the Ducks. It was a
- 9:07Speaker 2: schlacken right off the bat. I mean, the first play
- 9:09Speaker 2: of the game was a pick six.
- 9:11Speaker 1: He only threw for one hundred and seventy seven yards
- 9:13Speaker 1: and had five touchdowns.
- 9:14Speaker 2: Yeah, you don't need and that's the deal they I mean,
- 9:17Speaker 2: they run the ball, they run, run and run, and
- 9:20Speaker 2: that's against a good Oregon defense.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Exactly. That Oregon defense looked like it wasn't even there.
- 9:25Speaker 2: If you watch the game, it was pick six right
- 9:27Speaker 2: off the bat and seven to nothing. Then Oregon drives
- 9:30Speaker 2: the ball for like six minutes maybe seven minutes, and
- 9:33Speaker 2: boom they tie it. And you're like, Hugh, you know.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Yeah, the first quarter was the only quarter where it
- 9:38Speaker 1: was closed.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it's like, is that. I think that's
- 9:41Speaker 2: how you have a play by play on that Sean.
- 9:43Speaker 2: I think it was interception then Oregon. I want to
- 9:47Speaker 2: make sure it wasn't fourteen nothing, just to make sure.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Okay, they did tie, That's what I said.
- 9:52Speaker 2: Okay, seven minutes, that was seven and then it turned
- 9:56Speaker 2: right around and I thought they're the best.
- 9:58Speaker 1: Exception for return for a touchdown for Indiana. They go
- 10:02Speaker 1: down fourteen plays, seventy five yards, seven and a half minutes.
- 10:05Speaker 1: But I thought it was huge that Moore touchdown and
- 10:07Speaker 1: then Indiana comes.
- 10:08Speaker 2: Down finally get the ball.
- 10:09Speaker 1: Look what they do after eleven yard seventy five minutes,
- 10:13Speaker 1: six and seventy five minutes, seventy five yards, six and
- 10:16Speaker 1: a half minutes, and all of a sudden, after that
- 10:20Speaker 1: it went haywire.
- 10:23Speaker 2: Well, Dante Moore did not have a good game. I
- 10:26Speaker 2: mean I watched him. I didn't go back and look
- 10:28Speaker 2: at his Was it two interceptions, one fumble? Was that
- 10:31Speaker 2: his stats? Because I think I know the first there
- 10:34Speaker 2: was a pick six?
- 10:36Speaker 1: I know an interception?
- 10:37Speaker 2: Then he did he have two fumbles?
- 10:39Speaker 1: Because of two fumbles and he lost both of them?
- 10:42Speaker 2: Yes, Well one had me come back to throw the
- 10:44Speaker 2: ball and hit his running back. I saw there and
- 10:46Speaker 2: then the ball went and then and that one. It
- 10:49Speaker 2: just the turnovers just killed them and it was just
- 10:52Speaker 2: a steam roll after that. And you knew with the
- 10:55Speaker 2: defense that Indiana had, this game is over. This game
- 10:58Speaker 2: is over.
- 10:58Speaker 1: Oh yeah, there was there was once you're down, well,
- 11:01Speaker 1: where were they down thirty thirty five to seven going
- 11:04Speaker 1: into the half? Correct? You were like, oh no.
- 11:08Speaker 2: It only made up one point in the third.
- 11:10Speaker 1: And then one more touchdown, yeah, to make it fifty
- 11:14Speaker 1: six twenty. And what did I pick as the score
- 11:15Speaker 1: for that? Because I think that was my big.
- 11:17Speaker 2: It was I think you were thirty to twelve or something.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Right at thirty eight twelve.
- 11:21Speaker 2: I believe was that that that might have been the
- 11:23Speaker 2: Packers one or not Packers the Patriots one.
- 11:26Speaker 1: No, you got a.
- 11:26Speaker 2: Close twenty seven. I was twenty seven to twenty Indiana.
- 11:32Speaker 1: We both picked Indiana that one, right, I was. I
- 11:35Speaker 1: knew there was a big No, it was the Patriots
- 11:38Speaker 1: one that you picked. That one was close.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Thirty to twelve. Patriots one. No, I mean Patriots killed them.
- 11:44Speaker 1: We'll get to that Manut. Yeah, they didn't kill um
- 11:45Speaker 1: till the end. Yeah, that was so. Yeah. Congratul legislations
- 11:51Speaker 1: to the Indiana Hoosiers and to Miami, who nobody gave
- 11:55Speaker 1: a chance to even make it that far.
- 11:58Speaker 2: Real quick, before we really get into portal talk, we
- 12:00Speaker 2: can talk about it now since it's relevant. Dante Moore
- 12:02Speaker 2: is staying Jelen Roola coming to Oregon to set down
- 12:06Speaker 2: a year, and both are getting paid big money.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Which it's probably good for Roola because I don't know,
- 12:11Speaker 1: if you saw his career at Nebraska, noneing good.
- 12:14Speaker 2: I don't I don't know where they're coming up with.
- 12:16Speaker 1: This, what the next coming of Patrick Mahomes. It's because
- 12:18Speaker 1: they have.
- 12:19Speaker 2: The same here.
- 12:19Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 12:20Speaker 2: But anyway, I did. I was, I've not been impressed,
- 12:24Speaker 2: and maybe they're not paying them a lot of money.
- 12:25Speaker 2: But from go to Nebraska to Oregon, which is going
- 12:27Speaker 2: big ten to big ten and setting out a year
- 12:33Speaker 2: is surprising in that.
- 12:34Speaker 1: And it's like we talked about these quarterbacks, it's they
- 12:38Speaker 1: should go now, this is the draft to go in.
- 12:41Speaker 2: Okay, yes, Dante Moore. I wanted to pull that stat up.
- 12:44Speaker 2: That's why I brought that up to talk about. So
- 12:46Speaker 2: he's staying. Okay, he's coming back, I get it. What
- 12:48Speaker 2: do you think? Okay, Britain Soresby's been remembered to make
- 12:51Speaker 2: five to six million for one season. Fair, Okay, so
- 12:55Speaker 2: that's probably in the money range that Oregon's gonna.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Play and whatever Levet's gonna be making. Okay, So he's
- 13:02Speaker 1: supposed to be getting big money there.
- 13:03Speaker 2: So I was looking at spot rack and just estimates
- 13:07Speaker 2: number two overall pick, which I believe. I thought i'd
- 13:11Speaker 2: save that, but I bet I did. In the draft order,
- 13:13Speaker 2: I think it's it's not the second. Is it the
- 13:16Speaker 2: Jets that pick second? What's thet or is it the
- 13:19Speaker 2: Jets the Jets Giants fail. We'll look that up real quick.
- 13:23Speaker 2: But predictions for spot right. The number two overall pick
- 13:25Speaker 2: in this upcoming year's draft generally will be a four year,
- 13:29Speaker 2: fifty two point five million dollar guaranteed contract with a
- 13:35Speaker 2: thirty four million dollars signing bonus. The Jets are the
- 13:38Speaker 2: number two pick, and they need a quarterback, and Dante
- 13:42Speaker 2: Moore was generally predicted to be that guy.
- 13:46Speaker 1: Right because they have been Does it going to the Raiders? Correct? Right?
- 13:50Speaker 2: And that's always worked out well for Raiders drafting quarterback.
- 13:53Speaker 1: The More should definitely be the guy to go. Yeah,
- 13:56Speaker 1: More should definitely be going way.
- 13:59Speaker 2: The Cardinals need a quarterback, they could look at it.
- 14:02Speaker 1: Hold on, like I said, and Chambliss should be in
- 14:04Speaker 1: this draft, but.
- 14:04Speaker 2: He's I know they're suing, but he should stay too.
- 14:09Speaker 2: In the stay drop the lawsuit, no, and stay in
- 14:13Speaker 2: the NFL draft.
- 14:13Speaker 1: Oh yeah, go to the go to the draft. Yeah,
- 14:15Speaker 1: he had his best year. I had, he had his best.
- 14:19Speaker 2: I get it. And they're making a lot of money.
- 14:21Speaker 2: And maybe do you ever think, and I'm not saying
- 14:23Speaker 2: about this about any of these kids or these young men,
- 14:26Speaker 2: do you ever think that the fear is they know
- 14:28Speaker 2: they're maybe not that good or they're gonna get into
- 14:31Speaker 2: a bad situation, I think. But if you're drafted so high,
- 14:36Speaker 2: you're gonna make some guaranteed money like you're making.
- 14:38Speaker 1: Now, hold on, you gotta think the Browns are gonna
- 14:40Speaker 1: take another quarterback and that's already a loaded.
- 14:42Speaker 2: Quarterback and they took too yeah yeah, and so they're gonna.
- 14:45Speaker 1: Be taking quarterbacks for like five rounds and you get down.
- 14:52Speaker 1: I do know that New Orleans does need a decent
- 14:55Speaker 1: backup and who who's the oh Sami Dolphins need a
- 15:00Speaker 1: quarterback because we don't know what's happening with the new
- 15:04Speaker 1: coach coming in and to UH and quinn Ewers, so
- 15:10Speaker 1: they could benefit from a quarterback. I don't know why
- 15:14Speaker 1: this is saying that the Rams are quarterback needy, but
- 15:17Speaker 1: you could take a late guy like they did with
- 15:19Speaker 1: Phoenix and UH in Atlanta, North Agia State. It's looking
- 15:25Speaker 1: for a linebacker. Coach, I used to play linebacker, and Uh,
- 15:27Speaker 1: well you didn't. Only linebacker you ever played with was
- 15:31Speaker 1: a lady.
- 15:35Speaker 2: No. I think that that.
- 15:37Speaker 1: I agree. I think that is I would say Tampa
- 15:40Speaker 1: backup quarterback needy.
- 15:41Speaker 2: I'm concerned about where these kids are. These kids are
- 15:47Speaker 2: coming back, and yes, they're making guarantee, and that is great,
- 15:49Speaker 2: But are you thinking you're gonna get that, gonna make
- 15:52Speaker 2: five to six this year and then still be top five.
- 15:56Speaker 2: Not with a blown out knee, not with some other
- 15:59Speaker 2: bad injury, not when your team six and six.
- 16:01Speaker 1: Look even here, Pittsburgh's Dealers are quarterback needy.
- 16:05Speaker 2: No, They've always been since Tom, since Ben left, They've
- 16:10Speaker 2: always been.
- 16:10Speaker 1: Yes, But I mean, but that's what you're looking at.
- 16:14Speaker 1: And one of these teams can even take two quarterbacks
- 16:16Speaker 1: in the first round that are need.
- 16:20Speaker 2: I don't know, I just I'm just really surprised at
- 16:24Speaker 2: some of these kids, especially because the quarterback draft is
- 16:27Speaker 2: so weak, and then you look next year what the
- 16:31Speaker 2: quarterback draft is going to be. You've got Archie, Yeah,
- 16:34Speaker 2: we talked about that, Arches Sellers, Mater. There's a bunch
- 16:38Speaker 2: of a lot of these kids.
- 16:39Speaker 1: Their best bet is to go now and get in
- 16:42Speaker 1: there before these teams find a quarterback and then don't
- 16:45Speaker 1: need anybody. And then you're looking at teams that aren't
- 16:48Speaker 1: going to be taking quarterbacks in the first round.
- 16:50Speaker 2: Well, I mean, you've got Julian saying can come out
- 16:52Speaker 2: arch Manning maybe from I mean, he's pretty good from
- 16:55Speaker 2: USC and I might be pronouncing his name wrong. My
- 17:00Speaker 2: Lae Sellers Levitt's coming out. Soresby will be there. I
- 17:06Speaker 2: don't really care. But men saw Josh Hoover. He's transferring
- 17:11Speaker 2: to Indiana if he has a good year. I mean,
- 17:14Speaker 2: you talk about him moving up Jackson Arnold.
- 17:16Speaker 1: I'm just kidding.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Did he have a landing spot? Where'd he go?
- 17:19Speaker 1: Oh? That's right?
- 17:21Speaker 2: So no, I mean I think And now you're putting
- 17:23Speaker 2: Dante more and you're putting Chambliss in that class. People
- 17:27Speaker 2: are gonna take arch maybe a saying before you I'm
- 17:31Speaker 2: just saying, I'm just.
- 17:32Speaker 1: I'm just saying, did you not come on? Come on it?
- 17:40Speaker 2: Okay, okay, all right, Let's move on to the other
- 17:43Speaker 2: game that we talked about because we had to talk
- 17:45Speaker 2: about more because I was really surprised when we're talking
- 17:48Speaker 2: about Oregon football. But uh, goodyear for uh landing in
- 17:53Speaker 2: Oregon again, and they'll be right back again next year.
- 17:56Speaker 2: The money at Oregon they have, they're going to be
- 17:58Speaker 2: continuing to be right at the top. So let's talk
- 18:01Speaker 2: about the Miami and Mississippi game. What a hell of
- 18:05Speaker 2: a game that was by far the most favorite game
- 18:08Speaker 2: because it came I mean, Mississippi had a chance to win.
- 18:12Speaker 2: They had scored late, but give it, had a lot
- 18:14Speaker 2: of time left, and Miami went down methodically overpowered their defense.
- 18:19Speaker 2: Because Miami essentially dominated that game statistically, and Miami, or
- 18:27Speaker 2: in Mississippi was able to hang around and keep it late.
- 18:31Speaker 1: Chambus was not able to get the magic that he
- 18:33Speaker 1: did against the Bulldogs.
- 18:35Speaker 2: But they never had the offense or the defense to
- 18:39Speaker 2: me to be legitimate to win it all. That was
- 18:42Speaker 2: always my concern and the and we you know, we
- 18:45Speaker 2: scored twenty something against them, you know when we played them,
- 18:48Speaker 2: and our offense was horrible. Yeah, pedestrian is a nice
- 18:55Speaker 2: is a nice one.
- 18:56Speaker 1: I don't know. I had just I really had hoped
- 18:58Speaker 1: that the fuck is that guy crazy looking? You guys
- 19:02Speaker 1: have the same hairs we do. Uh, there's there's no
- 19:07Speaker 1: way there was There was no way for them to
- 19:12Speaker 1: you know, know what was going to happen with the coaching,
- 19:14Speaker 1: even if they made it to the title game, you know,
- 19:17Speaker 1: because I don't know if that had the lobby to
- 19:20Speaker 1: keep those.
- 19:20Speaker 2: Yeah, but I don't know if that really played a part.
- 19:22Speaker 2: I'm sure it was in house. There was some drama
- 19:24Speaker 2: with that, but I thought Pete Golding, for his most part,
- 19:27Speaker 2: did really well.
- 19:28Speaker 1: He did. I'm not blaming I'm not blaming the coaching
- 19:32Speaker 1: for their loss. I'm blaming the fact that Miami was
- 19:36Speaker 1: just a better.
- 19:36Speaker 2: Team when it came down to the line dominate. And
- 19:40Speaker 2: we'll talk about that when we preview. Would you have
- 19:42Speaker 2: anything else on that game? I mean, it was a
- 19:43Speaker 2: great game, but it really was.
- 19:44Speaker 1: And I said it could go either way.
- 19:46Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, and we picked Mississippi in a close one.
- 19:48Speaker 2: We did, like I said, that could be and the
- 19:50Speaker 2: defense could have had one stop, one turnover that would
- 19:53Speaker 2: have been. It would have been there. It just it
- 19:55Speaker 2: didn't happen.
- 19:56Speaker 1: It did not didn't they have like an almost interception and.
- 19:59Speaker 2: It It was one of the like I said, it
- 20:01Speaker 2: was just one of those games that whoever has just
- 20:05Speaker 2: stayed in it. Yet you watch Miami and they just
- 20:08Speaker 2: dominated them. And that's the thing. And we'll segue into
- 20:11Speaker 2: the championship. The championship game is one of those matchups
- 20:16Speaker 2: that when you look back, I really thought Indiana Georgia
- 20:20Speaker 2: would be fun. I think this one is just as
- 20:23Speaker 2: exciting because I really do believe this year Miami has
- 20:26Speaker 2: a better defensive line than Georgia.
- 20:28Speaker 1: Well, you do have a you do have a possibility
- 20:31Speaker 1: of an ex Georgia quarterback being there?
- 20:33Speaker 2: Oh yes, yes, yes, And and let's go to the
- 20:37Speaker 2: preview of that game. Sean, you gonna pull the Miami
- 20:39Speaker 2: and Indiana game up. So obviously the dream season for
- 20:45Speaker 2: Indiana continues. Miami last team in allegedly you know, last
- 20:51Speaker 2: at uh at will team obviously not the lowest rank,
- 20:55Speaker 2: but they.
- 20:55Speaker 1: Took the other ones in. But where we'll yeah, and
- 21:01Speaker 1: here here at the.
- 21:03Speaker 2: Did you see that?
- 21:05Speaker 1: I have a dad joke though.
- 21:06Speaker 2: Guy goes into the doctor's office and he said, hey, nurse,
- 21:09Speaker 2: he said, I got bit by a wolf and she
- 21:11Speaker 2: said where And he said, no, just a regular one.
- 21:14Speaker 2: But okay, that's my joke.
- 21:20Speaker 1: My people are picking Indiana over Miami.
- 21:28Speaker 2: Forty seven and a half is the over under I
- 21:31Speaker 2: kind of like the under on this.
- 21:33Speaker 1: Do you think, oh, I do with the way that
- 21:36Speaker 1: Indiana plays, you never know? True?
- 21:39Speaker 2: And then eight and a half is a spread, which
- 21:41Speaker 2: means that under. That means what they're saying is that
- 21:45Speaker 2: game is going to be like thirty one toies.
- 21:48Speaker 1: And gentleman, if you had twenty. So if Kenny picks
- 21:51Speaker 1: the over, it's probably go the.
- 21:52Speaker 2: Under, go the opposite, Yes, and see, normally I like
- 21:55Speaker 2: the overs, and I would.
- 21:56Speaker 1: I'm looking at it and going I'd probably bet the over.
- 21:58Speaker 1: But then I'm thinking, let's say the under, sou But no,
- 22:02Speaker 1: but it's also went up eight and a half to Indiana.
- 22:05Speaker 2: It's uh yeah, I open at seven and a half,
- 22:07Speaker 2: now at eight and a half. Here's the thing that
- 22:10Speaker 2: I see about this game. I think Miami's got a
- 22:12Speaker 2: better O line and in a better D line. I
- 22:15Speaker 2: think overall the.
- 22:16Speaker 1: Debt, I don't know. I think the lines are equal,
- 22:19Speaker 1: and I think, well hold on.
- 22:20Speaker 2: But then I think after that, everything is Indiana. And
- 22:25Speaker 2: so that's why I think this game is going to
- 22:27Speaker 2: be such a good matchup. However, because Indiana's O line
- 22:33Speaker 2: is real close. In my opinion, it's not like you said, better,
- 22:37Speaker 2: They're gonna wear that D line down because they are
- 22:41Speaker 2: so big, and I think that's what wins the game.
- 22:43Speaker 2: I think this game is so damn close all the
- 22:46Speaker 2: way until.
- 22:47Speaker 1: But you've got to think, and you've got Indiana only
- 22:49Speaker 1: had two close games all season. No, I agree, and
- 22:52Speaker 1: that was that was that was Indiana or the Yeah,
- 22:56Speaker 1: Indiana Iowa fifteen was the closest with.
- 22:59Speaker 2: One of the best defenses in the nation.
- 23:01Speaker 1: Right Oregon was twenty to thirty. Yeah, and that was
- 23:04Speaker 1: a that was a ten point swing. Both away games,
- 23:07Speaker 1: Penn State.
- 23:08Speaker 2: All three all three and that was all three were
- 23:14Speaker 2: away games. Right now, they're going to be away this
- 23:19Speaker 2: game too. You know, each one's alloted twenty five Thousand's
- 23:23Speaker 2: what I read. And then the other one's corporate ship.
- 23:26Speaker 2: All that corporate stuff is going to be going Miami's way.
- 23:29Speaker 2: Miami's should have a home game here.
- 23:31Speaker 1: Because it is everybody really expects Miami. It's not the
- 23:34Speaker 1: hard rock there.
- 23:35Speaker 2: And it's going to be the stars. The stars are
- 23:37Speaker 2: going to be out I mean, it's going to be
- 23:39Speaker 2: star laden. All the people back for Miami, do you
- 23:42Speaker 2: mean not quite the Golden Globe Stars, but they'll they'll
- 23:48Speaker 2: be out there. And that's and I think that.
- 23:51Speaker 1: Who's the most famous person is going to be on Indiana.
- 23:53Speaker 1: So that.
- 23:56Speaker 2: Was there a Mike Pence, wasn't he the Indiana Vice president?
- 24:00Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 24:00Speaker 2: Maybe he's is he a big football Mark Cuban will
- 24:04Speaker 2: be there. I'm sure he's a big donor.
- 24:06Speaker 1: Yeah, he's a big What do you think do you
- 24:09Speaker 1: think Larry Bird might be?
- 24:11Speaker 2: Larry's a good one. Larry's a good one. So no,
- 24:13Speaker 2: I think I really think this game is close. I
- 24:16Speaker 2: think it would like I told you Sean what we
- 24:19Speaker 2: just talked about. I thought Georgia and He is gonna
- 24:20Speaker 2: be a great matchup because the line play and how
- 24:22Speaker 2: that worked. And then you think about it, Miami and
- 24:24Speaker 2: Indiana matchup even really good, and this game should be
- 24:29Speaker 2: really close. But I think the quarterback play. I think
- 24:33Speaker 2: Mendoza is much better than Beck, and if you watch Miami,
- 24:36Speaker 2: they tend to not let him throw the ball a
- 24:38Speaker 2: whole lot down the field, a lot of swings, a
- 24:41Speaker 2: lot of you know, short slants, stuff like that, if
- 24:43Speaker 2: they if Miami wins, If Miami wins, Beck is going
- 24:47Speaker 2: to have to play his ass off and show.
- 24:49Speaker 1: Them why they pay. He's going to have to get
- 24:51Speaker 1: Tony out in the open.
- 24:52Speaker 2: No.
- 24:52Speaker 1: Yeah, and I and I think is going to have
- 24:54Speaker 1: to be the guy that gets and run the ball.
- 24:57Speaker 2: Yes, and run the ball, because I think the line play.
- 25:00Speaker 2: I think this is a low scoring game. I joke
- 25:02Speaker 2: about the forty seven. If they have a bunch of turnovers,
- 25:05Speaker 2: you know, like Indiana has, they've been fortunate to have those.
- 25:09Speaker 2: And I'm not saying they didn't cause him. Don't get
- 25:11Speaker 2: me wrong there, But I'm just saying the mistakes that
- 25:15Speaker 2: Back makes and Mendoza does not.
- 25:18Speaker 1: Is he did make some mistakes in that game is
- 25:21Speaker 1: some things to watch out for it. But there were
- 25:23Speaker 1: there were in that Old Miss game. There were two
- 25:25Speaker 1: interceptions that you were.
- 25:27Speaker 2: Like, but you got a guy building a team for
- 25:29Speaker 2: his alma mater. You've got another guy coming in second year,
- 25:32Speaker 2: and just.
- 25:33Speaker 1: Who's Rock's saban class who.
- 25:35Speaker 2: Rocked at the in the portal as well? And knew
- 25:38Speaker 2: all them guys. And that's what I'm saying. He's the
- 25:40Speaker 2: ultimate team professional.
- 25:43Speaker 1: How he identifies those guys, I know it's not metrics, No,
- 25:47Speaker 1: I know he's not sitting there using the metrics to
- 25:50Speaker 1: identify these guys. He's looking at something else.
- 25:52Speaker 2: More than likely he's just a film watching guru.
- 25:55Speaker 1: I that's what he's seeing, something that you can't see
- 25:58Speaker 1: through numbers.
- 26:00Speaker 2: But the guy smokes, stoves, and he likes to have
- 26:02Speaker 2: a cold beer after a game and or during but anyway,
- 26:08Speaker 2: wish we can still drink during it. Again, No, kidding,
- 26:10Speaker 2: all right, give me your prediction.
- 26:12Speaker 1: Twenty Indiana, So you're going the over. I'm going the
- 26:17Speaker 1: over thirty. So it's it's with those Carson Beck interceptions.
- 26:24Speaker 1: I don't think that he can get away from the
- 26:26Speaker 1: mistakes in this game. He has to have a perfect game.
- 26:29Speaker 1: He has to have a mistake free game to win.
- 26:31Speaker 1: To agree, no, agree, I'd like it a little bit closer.
- 26:35Speaker 1: I think Indiana plays a little bit tight at first,
- 26:38Speaker 1: and Miami is the loose team, believe it or not.
- 26:40Speaker 1: I think at the end there's a lot of loose.
- 26:42Speaker 2: I think Indiana wins at the end of twenty twenty
- 26:45Speaker 2: seven to twenty, keeps in the under and but Miami
- 26:51Speaker 2: or I'm sorry, Indiana does not cover in my side,
- 26:54Speaker 2: that cover in yours. And so Sean has you over
- 26:57Speaker 2: all right, we can't wait. That's Monday night, be the
- 26:59Speaker 2: last college football game. I am stoked because I really
- 27:02Speaker 2: think this game is going to be so damn good.
- 27:06Speaker 2: I really do, and I hope, I hope it is
- 27:09Speaker 2: all right. Oh talk about portal portal stephf.
- 27:11Speaker 1: For I did not realize that out of out of
- 27:14Speaker 1: bottle ware with Drew.
- 27:16Speaker 2: He was in there for about two minutes, went in,
- 27:20Speaker 2: come out.
- 27:21Speaker 1: Huh paid which is but I guess it was the
- 27:24Speaker 1: same day it was.
- 27:25Speaker 2: I said he was in there for like fifteen minutes.
- 27:27Speaker 2: Jenneral he really was, went in, went out.
- 27:29Speaker 1: Yeah, it's crazy.
- 27:30Speaker 2: I had Dolby Dent. They went to Mississippi State. We
- 27:34Speaker 2: did get a kid from Georgia State, Bishop Thomas, the
- 27:37Speaker 2: defensive lineman. I've really watched Sammy left with. Yeah, that's
- 27:42Speaker 2: a surprise to me, but I think that was I'm
- 27:45Speaker 2: just maybe a money thing.
- 27:46Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 27:47Speaker 2: Ginger Rooms had already went out, but he signed with Georgia.
- 27:49Speaker 2: Great pickup. Troy Everett Mississippi. He'll probably never play because
- 27:52Speaker 2: it's hurt too much. Already went to Colorado's and mark
- 27:56Speaker 2: that down. He'll be transferring after next year, would be
- 28:01Speaker 2: my prediction.
- 28:03Speaker 1: Uh.
- 28:04Speaker 2: We got Mackenzie Allen. I think that's how you're pronounce
- 28:07Speaker 2: him six one five. He's it's a been our buckle guy.
- 28:10Speaker 2: I really think we need some better wide receivers and
- 28:15Speaker 2: and what have we picked up in the old line.
- 28:17Speaker 2: I'd like to see us pick up a little bit
- 28:19Speaker 2: more debt there.
- 28:20Speaker 1: Well, I mean a lot of the old lunch stuff
- 28:22Speaker 1: we got.
- 28:23Speaker 2: But hey, but here's the deal. Peyton Joseph I liked,
- 28:26Speaker 2: we got the.
- 28:27Speaker 1: Kid from George Jordana Georgia tackle. Yeah, it's a Georgia tackle.
- 28:32Speaker 1: Let's see blank and Keno went to a issue.
- 28:40Speaker 2: Taylor Tatum went to Michigan and then they lost Haynes.
- 28:45Speaker 2: Right out of Michigan, he goes into the port of
- 28:47Speaker 2: the running back and I'm like, does nobody want to
- 28:49Speaker 2: come hold on?
- 28:50Speaker 1: It was just like Hollywood smothers. We were talking about him.
- 28:52Speaker 1: He was going to Alabama and then he switches to Texas. Texas.
- 28:55Speaker 2: Well, yeah, they had to pay a running back.
- 28:57Speaker 1: I mean that. Yeah, I know we got back.
- 29:00Speaker 2: And Cam cam Coleman we never I don't even think
- 29:03Speaker 2: we even got a visit, but he went to Texas
- 29:06Speaker 2: as well. So but no, I think most of the
- 29:09Speaker 2: transfers have went as we would have assumed.
- 29:14Speaker 1: Do you have a list of just oh U's total
- 29:18Speaker 1: that's in and out.
- 29:19Speaker 2: I'm just talking about coming in because to me, don't
- 29:21Speaker 2: I don't care about who's leaving. They gone. But I
- 29:26Speaker 2: think when you talk about portal leverage, it's more important
- 29:32Speaker 2: to keep what you got, and that's what we've done.
- 29:35Speaker 1: A really good job at.
- 29:38Speaker 2: As far as os you currently has forty nine commits,
- 29:41Speaker 2: which is nuts. And they set number four in the
- 29:44Speaker 2: portal and we're setting at number twenty. If you dig
- 29:49Speaker 2: into those rankings, LSU's moved up to number one because
- 29:52Speaker 2: I'm sure Sam Levitt, but we talked about Dante guys early.
- 29:57Speaker 1: Do what we got cool soul of Adam Michigan. We
- 30:03Speaker 1: got Ozawalla out of uh Utsa. Mm hm. That was
- 30:11Speaker 1: a good thing. Parker Livingston, I presume out of Texas.
- 30:17Speaker 1: Cornerback Dakota Fields out of Oregon. See, we got the
- 30:23Speaker 1: tied end, the running back. Oh, here's the other offensive tackle,
- 30:27Speaker 1: Harris Harris out of Arkansas.
- 30:32Speaker 2: Yeah, and I thought that, you know, let's talk about oh,
- 30:34Speaker 2: forty nine, most of them, a lot of them.
- 30:36Speaker 1: When we got we got Nedda out of Western Kentucky.
- 30:39Speaker 1: That's that's yeah, that's the line.
- 30:41Speaker 2: Okay, okay, good good. I thought that was one that
- 30:44Speaker 2: we needed to really focus on. In linebackers. Obviously, some
- 30:48Speaker 2: of those well, and you can never get enough a
- 30:51Speaker 2: defensive lineman because we're losing some of those simply for
- 30:53Speaker 2: the draft. And you know, talk about oh, she went
- 30:57Speaker 2: to Gregory commits to Kansas State, which is a surprise.
- 30:59Speaker 2: He left the first rate Big twelve. Was he the
- 31:03Speaker 2: Big twelve rookie of the How many of those guys
- 31:06Speaker 2: defensive freshman of the year, I'm sorry.
- 31:07Speaker 1: So they got they got very out of Virginia, the corner,
- 31:12Speaker 1: they got hold offensive tackle out of Illinois State.
- 31:16Speaker 2: Indian I'm sorry, Indiana State.
- 31:19Speaker 1: They got Dallas winner Hunter the winter, Johnson the linebacker
- 31:23Speaker 1: out of two lane. They ended up of course, they
- 31:27Speaker 1: ended up with five thousand North Texas players. What is this?
- 31:34Speaker 1: Who's jack pucking a linebacker?
- 31:38Speaker 2: This?
- 31:39Speaker 1: Oh Central? Yeah?
- 31:40Speaker 2: No, no, that was a good I heard. That was
- 31:42Speaker 2: actually a good pick up. But I know, we get
- 31:44Speaker 2: to tall seven, I gotta talk about something because that's
- 31:47Speaker 2: a shocking surprise I just saw.
- 31:50Speaker 1: And then the rest of the team, you know, just
- 31:53Speaker 1: it doesn't look like they really picked up a lot
- 31:55Speaker 1: Portland State kid.
- 31:58Speaker 2: Uh yeah, Freeman went to Tennessee. Obviously, that must that's
- 32:03Speaker 2: a hypel connection of some type there Oklahoma watching him.
- 32:08Speaker 2: But no, I mean, OSHU is going to be a
- 32:09Speaker 2: much better team next year and totally.
- 32:11Speaker 1: Different because they have not won a Big twelve game.
- 32:14Speaker 2: And we'll be there next year at one game somewhere,
- 32:18Speaker 2: and we'll let you know. But the window Gregory one
- 32:21Speaker 2: was the tough one, and oh you even maybe should
- 32:24Speaker 2: have looked at him. I thought he was really good.
- 32:28Speaker 2: But anyway, all right, let's talk a little bit about Tulsa.
- 32:33Speaker 2: I don't have to say much. I think we've got
- 32:34Speaker 2: eighteen transfers currently. Tulsa picked up which they were looking
- 32:38Speaker 2: I was reading somewhere was at twenty two. I don't
- 32:41Speaker 2: know it was something, but Tulsa needed a rebound. But
- 32:45Speaker 2: the funny thing is is we were looking at not funny,
- 32:47Speaker 2: but the odd thing is is we were looking at
- 32:49Speaker 2: Kirk Francis. Remember the quarterback transfer. You know where he landed,
- 32:53Speaker 2: Texas Tech. And there was a tweet on there that says,
- 32:57Speaker 2: always weird to transfer somewhere you're never gonna like.
- 33:01Speaker 1: It's true. That's true. So I don't know why he
- 33:03Speaker 1: did that.
- 33:04Speaker 2: Check one year transfer out the next. I guess, Yeah,
- 33:09Speaker 2: that surprises me, it really did.
- 33:12Speaker 1: They did get a good receiver out of two lane there,
- 33:14Speaker 1: Jimmy Callaway.
- 33:15Speaker 2: Yes, I thought that was a big pick up for them,
- 33:17Speaker 2: and they really liked him. Don't know what the connection was,
- 33:20Speaker 2: but oh you did does have a new offensive coordinator. Oh,
- 33:25Speaker 2: I'm sorry, Tulsa. They officially Bandai. I think is his
- 33:28Speaker 2: name band Aid.
- 33:31Speaker 1: I've never seen so yeah, look at this, we got
- 33:36Speaker 1: app State kid Barbee. Sorry offensive you think? I mean
- 33:43Speaker 1: they're picking up three stars. They're losing three stars, but
- 33:47Speaker 1: they're picking up three stars.
- 33:51Speaker 2: Well, they have to, though, I mean, and Trey Lamb's
- 33:54Speaker 2: got to come in and change that team. I mean
- 33:57Speaker 2: because he played. I mean, you know, you're a guy.
- 34:00Speaker 2: You're not going to kick a bunch of people off teams.
- 34:02Speaker 2: You play with what you had, and now you're focusing you.
- 34:04Speaker 1: Were going to struggle to keep those kids on there
- 34:06Speaker 1: as well.
- 34:07Speaker 2: Correct, That's exactly right. Okay, anything else college football wise? No,
- 34:11Speaker 2: do we let's talk a little bit about college just
- 34:13Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 34:14Speaker 1: Did you ever see the rankings. LSU's now number one? Yes? Yes?
- 34:19Speaker 2: For transfer? Yeah, Texas NOx is.
- 34:21Speaker 1: Two, Penn State at three. And of course it's not
- 34:24Speaker 1: surprising that all these Texas, not Texas, but the other
- 34:27Speaker 1: schools having new coaches Penn State, Oklahoma.
- 34:30Speaker 2: State, correct, and bringing a lot of guys with them.
- 34:32Speaker 1: You know, old miss, I don't think that they have
- 34:35Speaker 1: a new coach. I would just say that Golding is
- 34:37Speaker 1: still there, but Kentucky is up there with the at
- 34:40Speaker 1: number seven, and then Ohio State and Texas Texa sitting
- 34:44Speaker 1: at nine and ten.
- 34:44Speaker 2: Oh he's ranked according to for seven Sports. I think
- 34:47Speaker 2: they were twentieth because we only have thirteen players right now.
- 34:53Speaker 1: Yeah, thirteen commits. Tennessee's right above us, Michigan at eighteen,
- 34:58Speaker 1: Colorado at seven team, which that's just de on getting
- 35:01Speaker 1: them kids in paid, not even winning, not even learning anything.
- 35:06Speaker 1: At Auburn they got a new coach. Yes, yes, so
- 35:12Speaker 1: they're at sixteen morning fifteen. Oh, that's right, it's what's
- 35:18Speaker 1: his nutslish, goolish. Louisville at fourteen, cal Is surprisingly at thirteen,
- 35:26Speaker 1: new coach a su get your finger any most? Sorry?
- 35:30Speaker 1: The issue.
- 35:33Speaker 2: To what's his name Louis Hope, uh, you know, and
- 35:38Speaker 2: that's gonna go up because he's done.
- 35:39Speaker 1: Now vote setting. So it's it's not surprised that some
- 35:43Speaker 1: of these schools are where they're at. I feel bad
- 35:46Speaker 1: for Arizona State with Levitt decided to go in, deciding
- 35:50Speaker 1: to go to l s U. Who is their quarterback
- 35:52Speaker 1: going to be? Who? Arizona State? I could not tell
- 35:57Speaker 1: you who we obviously somebody in the portal.
- 36:04Speaker 2: Oh, they brought in the cutter Bowley from Kentucky and
- 36:07Speaker 2: Keene Keen sorry King might be their Yes, gotcha. So
- 36:14Speaker 2: but the dry, the dire kid I heard was good.
- 36:16Speaker 1: He's going to be a freshman, and he may he
- 36:19Speaker 1: may come out and shocked everybody. But right now, you
- 36:22Speaker 1: know he's a freshman, and I know that Dillingham is
- 36:27Speaker 1: probably looking for someone more skilled. So that way that
- 36:32Speaker 1: kid can sit behind him and learn something. Sure, what
- 36:36Speaker 1: are you looking at? Not see what time?
- 36:37Speaker 2: Okay, let's move on. Oh, losses all around for Tulsa.
- 36:43Speaker 1: Oh you o issue?
- 36:45Speaker 2: Oh use women basketball, Like I said, up thirteen against
- 36:48Speaker 2: six RACD Kentucky blows it.
- 36:49Speaker 1: Well, I've been watching Use men and they are horrible, horrible. Uh.
- 36:55Speaker 1: I guess the only team we're better than in the
- 36:56Speaker 1: SEC is old Miss Porter's done.
- 36:59Speaker 2: That's fine, I mean, can you really just keep doing this?
- 37:02Speaker 1: Ship?
- 37:03Speaker 2: I mean, this is supposed to be this is supposed
- 37:06Speaker 2: to be the most talented team he's had since he's
- 37:08Speaker 2: been here, and it looks the worse. It looks the
- 37:12Speaker 2: freaking worst. We'll get more into basketball as it goes on. Well,
- 37:15Speaker 2: I can't get into it yet. I'm a February guy.
- 37:18Speaker 1: I've been watching hockey, alight. I have literally just been
- 37:22Speaker 1: with your finger.
- 37:23Speaker 2: Sorry, I've got this just all right. I need my
- 37:26Speaker 2: nail file, all right, Moving on, let's go.
- 37:28Speaker 1: We started playing off. We started the day with the
- 37:31Speaker 1: Rams and Panthers, and everybody thought that was going to
- 37:33Speaker 1: be the game of the week. It turned out not
- 37:37Speaker 1: to be.
- 37:37Speaker 2: Why not.
- 37:38Speaker 1: It was a good game, it was a great game,
- 37:39Speaker 1: but it wasn't the game of the week.
- 37:42Speaker 2: Was there a game of the week?
- 37:43Speaker 1: Yeah, the Bears in a fourth quarter heartbreak, heart attack,
- 37:48Speaker 1: twenty one to nothing.
- 37:49Speaker 2: Go and talk about that one first.
- 37:52Speaker 1: Yeah, let's go with that. Okay, twenty one to three.
- 37:56Speaker 1: It was halftime. I had to go do work, so
- 37:58Speaker 1: I did not get to watch the second half.
- 38:01Speaker 2: Oh I didn't watch the third quarter because I got bored.
- 38:05Speaker 1: Well, I mean, you didn't miss anything. It was still
- 38:07Speaker 1: twenty one to I know, it was pretty boring.
- 38:10Speaker 2: So I flip it on and the Bears are driving
- 38:13Speaker 2: and they're only down by god, I can't remember. It
- 38:16Speaker 2: was an odd score, and I thought, okay, if they
- 38:18Speaker 2: get here and they get the two it was and
- 38:21Speaker 2: I'm thinking, oh my god, they really got it.
- 38:24Speaker 1: Then they got the two they.
- 38:26Speaker 2: Oh my god, this is just awesome.
- 38:29Speaker 1: And against the packers. That's what made it just so
- 38:31Speaker 1: much better. And that's what made you question, is Lafleur done?
- 38:35Speaker 2: Now he'll resign it? Contract extensions? My prediction, mark it down,
- 38:40Speaker 2: slap a label. It's an extension.
- 38:42Speaker 1: They're not getting I know. His whole thing was, I'm
- 38:44Speaker 1: worried about my guys. They're not getting into that.
- 38:46Speaker 2: So I had a bears bystander continue to text me
- 38:51Speaker 2: about how Jordan Love was. Jordan Love had better stats
- 38:55Speaker 2: than Caleb Williams. Hold it more, not more yards, but
- 38:59Speaker 2: touchdown for no interceptions. His rating was one hundred and
- 39:04Speaker 2: three point eight and then he gets blamed. But let's
- 39:07Speaker 2: scrawl down that little statistic line. Green Bay's rushing twenty
- 39:12Speaker 2: three for nine to nine yards.
- 39:13Speaker 1: Not very good.
- 39:14Speaker 2: Now hold on now, now, hold on, no, go down
- 39:17Speaker 2: to the receivers, because I want to make a point
- 39:19Speaker 2: about this. You look at the receivers for both teams. Romeo, Dobbs,
- 39:24Speaker 2: Dubes whatever, He's got eight catches. Luther Burden's better than him.
- 39:30Speaker 2: O'donze's better than him. DJ more is definitely better than him.
- 39:36Speaker 2: There's nobody on that wide receiver crew that's the number
- 39:41Speaker 2: one ride receiver in any NFL team.
- 39:44Speaker 1: But they haven't had that in forever, and they've they've
- 39:46Speaker 1: kept they've kept Bobbs reading Watson. Then quit blaming love.
- 39:51Speaker 2: It is not a love thing.
- 39:52Speaker 1: They were catching the ball.
- 39:53Speaker 2: It's poor coaching.
- 39:55Speaker 1: They were catching the ball and going.
- 39:57Speaker 2: Back to statistics, you know, if it tips your finger,
- 40:00Speaker 2: you do realize that's not considered an NFL as a drop.
- 40:03Speaker 2: A drop is when you have the either one hand
- 40:06Speaker 2: total or on it. But if it touches your hand,
- 40:08Speaker 2: you should be catching it. In the NFL, you're a professional.
- 40:11Speaker 2: That's your job.
- 40:13Speaker 1: On both sides.
- 40:14Speaker 2: Like a ball through the field goal, the metal deals,
- 40:19Speaker 2: they don't change, they don't move.
- 40:22Speaker 1: That's your job. You need you need to stay up.
- 40:24Speaker 1: The NFL kicker is the most scrutinized position and yet
- 40:29Speaker 1: the most the position that gets made fun of the most.
- 40:33Speaker 1: It's got the least respect and it's the most scrutinized.
- 40:35Speaker 2: Okay, you need them, but anyway, in this game, total
- 40:38Speaker 2: yards was about the same passing yards, pretty identical rushing ard.
- 40:41Speaker 2: I mean, everything was almost identical. Six point yard zero
- 40:44Speaker 2: yards have played five point eight for the Bears. Everything looked,
- 40:48Speaker 2: you know, total plays Bears did have seven more, sacks
- 40:52Speaker 2: are about the same. They did not punt, that's one thing.
- 40:55Speaker 2: The Bears did not punt. But they did go for
- 40:56Speaker 2: it on fourth downs and lost it. One was really done.
- 40:59Speaker 1: No one one was hilarious. And I was like, I
- 41:02Speaker 1: actually said go for it, that one that was right
- 41:05Speaker 1: there in the second quarter that they got the twenty
- 41:07Speaker 1: one points. I said, go for it. I say, make
- 41:10Speaker 1: your team fix themselves, force your team to be better.
- 41:14Speaker 2: And and the and the and it did and the yeah,
- 41:17Speaker 2: but I mean, you're going for it on your own
- 41:19Speaker 2: thirty They.
- 41:20Speaker 1: Didn't get it. If you're gonna lose, but you're going
- 41:23Speaker 1: to lose any spectacular they didn't get it. I thought
- 41:26Speaker 1: that was if you're gonna lose, you're gonna lose spectacularly.
- 41:28Speaker 2: And then McManus the kicker to missed too and one
- 41:34Speaker 2: was bad. Well it was what is one of my
- 41:37Speaker 2: favorite tweets. You can't spell McManus without anus.
- 41:41Speaker 1: Look, it was a very cold, slightly windy.
- 41:45Speaker 2: The Packers playing that ship. This ain't the Dolphins.
- 41:49Speaker 1: This the don't play in the wind.
- 41:50Speaker 2: It's still and they still have wind. I get it,
- 41:54Speaker 2: but they still have the wind. They don't have the
- 41:56Speaker 2: won't after you guys build that dome.
- 41:58Speaker 1: Huh fun Gary, Indiana.
- 42:04Speaker 2: Al Right, great win for Chicago. I mean it really
- 42:07Speaker 2: was first playoff game and what fifteen years they won?
- 42:10Speaker 2: Fifteen years? Yeah, to win, we've been there, Yeah, but
- 42:14Speaker 2: to win is fifteen year drought. So it's been the longest.
- 42:17Speaker 2: Now let's go we were filling the double doings. Let's
- 42:19Speaker 2: gohead and talk about their opponent. Who they played.
- 42:23Speaker 1: They will be playing the New York Rams. That up, Yeah,
- 42:31Speaker 1: they're gonna be playing the LA Rams. Correct.
- 42:33Speaker 2: So we started talking about that one. I didn't write
- 42:36Speaker 2: the over and under on that one?
- 42:38Speaker 1: Is it?
- 42:38Speaker 2: What is this spread on that?
- 42:41Speaker 1: Got it?
- 42:42Speaker 2: The Rams kick on that the Rams and we'll talk
- 42:45Speaker 2: about it. We're just prieving. Sorry Rams. Panthers Hey, great, Yeah, no,
- 42:50Speaker 2: I thought that was great. I thought the Panthers and
- 42:52Speaker 2: the Panthers would.
- 42:52Speaker 1: Beginnings really showed up Panthers.
- 42:54Speaker 2: Surprise they did, And if they didn't have a ship defense,
- 42:57Speaker 2: they probably could have won too. And that's what they
- 42:58Speaker 2: need to focus on, is getting better but you can
- 43:00Speaker 2: tell they're better coach.
- 43:02Speaker 1: They picked up.
- 43:02Speaker 2: Bryce Young's uh last year of his contract, they picked
- 43:06Speaker 2: it up his option.
- 43:08Speaker 1: And so you've got you've got two x offensive coordinators
- 43:12Speaker 1: from the Buccaneers in the playoffs that we're in the
- 43:16Speaker 1: playoffs and both went out in the first round. But hey,
- 43:22Speaker 1: congratulations to those guys returning those teams around. So far,
- 43:28Speaker 1: so far, so far.
- 43:29Speaker 2: But you know, besides McMillan, uh, the wide receiver, I
- 43:33Speaker 2: don't really see a lot of stars on Caroline Carolina.
- 43:37Speaker 2: They played good as a team. No, but you mean
- 43:41Speaker 2: I don't, Chubb, I don't. I don't think they're stars.
- 43:44Speaker 1: Uh, definitely is. I doubt'll prove that he was.
- 43:47Speaker 2: I think McMillan is. It is true. But hey, good
- 43:51Speaker 2: they won the and they could have very well beat
- 43:53Speaker 2: the Rams again that would have been too and oh
- 43:54Speaker 2: against them. So anyway, moving on, don't draft pick too
- 43:59Speaker 2: you want to talk about that upcoming games since we've
- 44:01Speaker 2: talked about them.
- 44:01Speaker 1: Hold on, let me let me see where's Carolina's first.
- 44:05Speaker 2: I don't think they have anything super early.
- 44:07Speaker 1: I know there's only one team that doesn't have a
- 44:09Speaker 1: first round and that's Uh, that's the Falcons. Okay, so
- 44:12Speaker 1: they're nineteen, is it?
- 44:15Speaker 2: The Falcons is the only one that don't have one?
- 44:16Speaker 1: Falcons is the only one that doesne that one. It's
- 44:18Speaker 1: at the bottom of this list. Gotch So you go
- 44:21Speaker 1: down here and you see everybody that's left, and.
- 44:23Speaker 2: I thought there would have been somebody else too, because.
- 44:27Speaker 1: Okay, Atlanta Falcons only one. Damn m h.
- 44:33Speaker 2: I was gonna say, there's more than that, Dude, keep
- 44:35Speaker 2: going down.
- 44:37Speaker 1: I thought there was.
- 44:38Speaker 2: Now Green Bay doesn't happen, but that's the Dallas trade
- 44:41Speaker 2: with and then the Colt or the the Okay, Jacksonville
- 44:46Speaker 2: doesn't have one. For the Colts don't have one.
- 44:51Speaker 1: Slacker, yep, I slacked off.
- 44:53Speaker 2: What's the bottom one? I think he's missed another one.
- 44:55Speaker 1: No, it was, Yeah, that's to the end. I finally
- 44:58Speaker 1: made it to the end. Let's keep scrolling.
- 45:01Speaker 2: I thought that was scroll So all right, let's get
- 45:06Speaker 2: to that matchup preview that one. Go to the preview
- 45:09Speaker 2: of the Rams and Bears. Now will be cold, cold, cold,
- 45:15Speaker 2: one of the coldest. Yeah, it's gonna be one of
- 45:18Speaker 2: the coldest games in playoff history. So on Sunday, the
- 45:23Speaker 2: Rams uh come to Chicago it's gonna be Sunday. I
- 45:28Speaker 2: think it's a Sunday yep, Sunday evening game, then kickoffs
- 45:31Speaker 2: five thirty our time.
- 45:34Speaker 1: I really hope that that hope those ben cheaters are.
- 45:37Speaker 2: Working eleven at tenth, tenth coldest game in stadium history.
- 45:41Speaker 2: There's also a chance of snowshowers afternoon or before midnight,
- 45:44Speaker 2: so we could get some of that mix there. Stafford's
- 45:47Speaker 2: record and cold games is not good. I didn't pull
- 45:50Speaker 2: that up, but it's it ain't it don't. It's not pretty.
- 45:52Speaker 2: He's like one in eight, one and nine or something
- 45:54Speaker 2: anything below.
- 45:56Speaker 1: He was like Lambeau and in Chicago, even though Detroit plays.
- 46:05Speaker 2: I want to go ahead into your pick on this game.
- 46:08Speaker 2: Uh oh, three and a half favorite forty eight and
- 46:15Speaker 2: a half the Red God.
- 46:16Speaker 1: I like the over, I like it. You like the under?
- 46:20Speaker 2: That bad forty cold as shit? Yeah, if it does
- 46:23Speaker 2: snow shower, it's.
- 46:24Speaker 1: Going seventeen seventeen twelve, La, I love the Bears, but
- 46:32Speaker 1: I don't like Kayla Williams always pick against him.
- 46:37Speaker 2: Bears win this one, thirty twenty seven. I think the
- 46:40Speaker 2: Bears really have something going on. Here's my concern, though
- 46:44Speaker 2: you're talking about defense. They have the worst defense in
- 46:46Speaker 2: the playoffs, and but I think the cold I think
- 46:50Speaker 2: if it does shower a little bit bit, I think
- 46:53Speaker 2: it slows it down because the rate of the Rams
- 46:56Speaker 2: have the number one offense in the playoffs current as
- 46:59Speaker 2: far as scoring off so I like that. I like
- 47:02Speaker 2: the Bears thirty twenty seven. It'll probably be twenty seven
- 47:05Speaker 2: and nothing going into the fourth and the Bears score
- 47:07Speaker 2: thirty and to make it fun and make everyone in chicop.
- 47:10Speaker 2: But I like the home field advantage. I like the
- 47:12Speaker 2: cold weather and Ben Johnson obviously going to be Coach
- 47:15Speaker 2: of the Year should be.
- 47:16Speaker 1: And well I hope not because I get fired three
- 47:19Speaker 1: years later.
- 47:19Speaker 2: And what he and what he's brought as far as
- 47:22Speaker 2: just the offense stabilities, brought a little bit of.
- 47:24Speaker 1: Swaggers out of that team. Yes, the attitude very It's
- 47:28Speaker 1: Caleb Williams much needed and cayleb has.
- 47:31Speaker 2: Done really well. I mean he really hasn't put it.
- 47:33Speaker 2: I know you're not a big fan of him.
- 47:35Speaker 1: As much needed fundamentals, But I like the Bears.
- 47:38Speaker 2: I really do.
- 47:39Speaker 1: In formula for some reason, I'm I really like.
- 47:43Speaker 2: I mean, this potentially could.
- 47:44Speaker 1: Be a Bears. Notice you never notice that there are
- 47:46Speaker 1: those coaches out there that do really well with whatever
- 47:50Speaker 1: quarterback they have until you get to that one quarterback
- 47:52Speaker 1: and you're like, yeah, the guy's really trash because you
- 47:55Speaker 1: can't work with him in the system.
- 47:57Speaker 2: And a lot of them guys are system quarterbacks, and
- 47:59Speaker 2: it's going to be interesting to see who the raiders
- 48:01Speaker 2: Higher and his mendos are going to fit in that system.
- 48:04Speaker 1: True, are they going to let him try to play
- 48:06Speaker 1: partial his game partial?
- 48:08Speaker 2: And what's gonna I really think are gonna go Ontbac
- 48:14Speaker 2: Cliff Kingsbury.
- 48:16Speaker 1: Those are the two I'm thinking.
- 48:17Speaker 2: I think they go offense, maybe Mentor or Sala because
- 48:21Speaker 2: I think both of them get a job this year too.
- 48:23Speaker 2: We'll talk about we'll talk about the openings here in
- 48:25Speaker 2: a minute. Predictions I wrote, mind there was another coach,
- 48:29Speaker 2: but okay, there's our pick. All right, let's move on.
- 48:34Speaker 2: We can since we stayed in the NFC, let's stay
- 48:36Speaker 2: or since we were in the NFC, let's stay in
- 48:38Speaker 2: the NFC. H forty nine Ers Eagles Game of the Year,
- 48:42Speaker 2: had the over? Had the over it was forty I
- 48:45Speaker 2: think it was forty forty four and a half and
- 48:50Speaker 2: the Eagles go down, and I mean knew he didn't
- 48:54Speaker 2: get to kick a field goal, but let's you know, need.
- 48:57Speaker 1: A touchdown and Reiners to come back.
- 48:59Speaker 2: And no, just a touchdown by the Eagles, but for
- 49:03Speaker 2: the Niners to win. No, I needed Eagles to win
- 49:07Speaker 2: and cover. But oh no, oh no, no, no, Jalen
- 49:10Speaker 2: Hurts looks like Jalen Hurts. Listen, I'm telling you all.
- 49:15Speaker 2: The Eagles had one of the best defenses in the
- 49:18Speaker 2: league this year. Hurts, AJ Brown, it's a problem.
- 49:22Speaker 1: A Brown is probably he's gone.
- 49:24Speaker 2: And they're gonna keep Hurts and they know he can't
- 49:27Speaker 2: throw the ball. And Padulla was fired by.
- 49:30Speaker 1: The better thing is is that you lose that big
- 49:32Speaker 1: contract and you can get some You can get a
- 49:35Speaker 1: wide receiver out of the draft.
- 49:37Speaker 2: How about Diggs and AJ Brown and Patriots.
- 49:42Speaker 1: You know it's there. I think they've got a little
- 49:46Speaker 1: money still left under the cap. They do, so they
- 49:48Speaker 1: were one of the ones that was And of course
- 49:49Speaker 1: the Patriots they didn't even play a big game. But
- 49:52Speaker 1: you know, we're staying right there.
- 49:53Speaker 2: So forty nine Ers beat the Eagles. There was a
- 49:56Speaker 2: fun game that should have been the night game instead
- 49:59Speaker 2: of the Chargers willet. So forty nine Ers win. Let's
- 50:04Speaker 2: go over to the preview Sean and they're gonna play Seattle,
- 50:08Speaker 2: who they played the last regular season games. Got their three.
- 50:13Speaker 2: I think it was like twenty to three or I
- 50:15Speaker 2: don't know.
- 50:15Speaker 1: It was bad.
- 50:17Speaker 2: I don't think there was anything close. They might have
- 50:19Speaker 2: only scored three. Oh yeah, yeah, I think they only
- 50:23Speaker 2: scored three.
- 50:24Speaker 1: That is correct.
- 50:24Speaker 2: I think it was twenty three, thirteen to three. Well,
- 50:28Speaker 2: that's not as bad as I thought. It was just
- 50:30Speaker 2: watching that game, it seemed that game.
- 50:32Speaker 1: Watching the game was horrible. It was like two great
- 50:35Speaker 1: defenses and and then Brock party Sam Darnold. Sam was
- 50:40Speaker 1: looking really good.
- 50:41Speaker 2: Two losses in both years. He had two losses of Minnesota.
- 50:44Speaker 2: Last year they let him go to for jj M
- 50:46Speaker 2: and then or three losses. I'm sorry, Well, I mean
- 50:48Speaker 2: he's staying in Philly or he's staying in well, yeah,
- 50:52Speaker 2: they and then they resigned him. They paid some money
- 50:54Speaker 2: for Seattle, and Seattle's the one seed had the bye week.
- 50:58Speaker 2: Does the bye week mean something? I think it does,
- 51:00Speaker 2: I think, but not for them. I think the forty
- 51:02Speaker 2: nine ers are a little banged depth still.
- 51:04Speaker 1: They are warners still, but you've.
- 51:06Speaker 2: Always got McCaffrey and that pass. But no, McCaffrey means
- 51:09Speaker 2: a big damn difference. Yeah, Kittle's out, but you've got
- 51:12Speaker 2: McCaffrey one of them. But Seattle, their defense overall was
- 51:17Speaker 2: ranked number one, and they were offensive overall, scoring number two.
- 51:21Speaker 2: Seattle wins this.
- 51:22Speaker 1: I think this game. I thought Settles that was scoring No.
- 51:26Speaker 2: Houston was second and overall, but according to this side,
- 51:31Speaker 2: they were a close second. Seattle was number one and
- 51:33Speaker 2: they had the number two defense. I'm sorry, scoring offense.
- 51:36Speaker 2: I don't think this game is even close. I'm gonna
- 51:38Speaker 2: go ahead and pick first. I'm gonna take uh and
- 51:41Speaker 2: it's at Seattle, obviously, and it's the night game, which
- 51:44Speaker 2: is even more fun. I'm gonna go thirty one twenty
- 51:49Speaker 2: three forty nine ers score late. That puts that at
- 51:53Speaker 2: a fifty four. What's the over under on that one?
- 51:55Speaker 1: What was it?
- 51:56Speaker 2: It was forty four and a half.
- 51:57Speaker 1: Take the over in twenty Seattle.
- 52:04Speaker 2: Party. No.
- 52:05Speaker 1: I think that that defense does get to brock Purty.
- 52:07Speaker 2: But Hurts is so good, Party is so good, and
- 52:10Speaker 2: they're not even making the NFC Championship. He wants to
- 52:14Speaker 2: blame though, I'm sure injuries for forty nine ers.
- 52:17Speaker 1: And I don't know what you can blame for the Eagles.
- 52:18Speaker 2: They have one of the best defenses.
- 52:20Speaker 1: You can't blame that. Oh ah, I gave up. That's why.
- 52:23Speaker 1: That's why Syriani was yelling at him.
- 52:24Speaker 2: Possible Syrian is a horrible coach too, has a Super
- 52:28Speaker 2: Bowl ringing. Yeah, and who was his offensive coordinator? Kellen
- 52:32Speaker 2: Moore who the owner hired? All his other offensive coordinator
- 52:35Speaker 2: hires t rash.
- 52:38Speaker 1: No Gannon who sanchin? Who was coaching the culture though?
- 52:45Speaker 2: Yeah, he's a dandy, adn'ty great?
- 52:47Speaker 1: He did well. He had to get an old guy,
- 52:50Speaker 1: I proved anything. Yeah, he had to go get an
- 52:52Speaker 1: old guy to come in and there.
- 52:53Speaker 2: I don't even know if he hired him, but I
- 52:55Speaker 2: know his other hores have been trash. But anyway, I
- 52:57Speaker 2: mean he hired his Padulla's friend and then whoever was
- 53:00Speaker 2: before that one, and any not before stitching. But I
- 53:03Speaker 2: know Kellen Moore was brought from the outside, you know.
- 53:06Speaker 1: As a possibility get McDaniels. He and McDaniels ain't going there.
- 53:10Speaker 1: He's going Tampa.
- 53:11Speaker 2: If he didn't get a head coaching job he's going
- 53:12Speaker 2: to Tampa Detroit. If he didn't get a head coaching
- 53:14Speaker 2: job's letting you know, you know where he would be
- 53:17Speaker 2: really good at those is. For some reason, I think
- 53:19Speaker 2: the Falcons, Oh yeah, I mean that whoever coach the
- 53:22Speaker 2: Falcons are kind of under the radar.
- 53:24Speaker 1: That's one of the best teams out there talent wise.
- 53:26Speaker 1: I didn't. I didn't either.
- 53:30Speaker 2: All right, here we go, let's move on. Which one?
- 53:32Speaker 2: Which one you want to pick?
- 53:34Speaker 1: Well? The O two and this? Uh oh ship? Why
- 53:37Speaker 1: did I go back in this? Oh that's why? So yeah,
- 53:42Speaker 1: so the Buffalo the Buffalo Jacksonville game. Great game, Josh
- 53:47Speaker 1: Allen and Buffalo get their first road playoff win in
- 53:49Speaker 1: thirty three years. I did not know that. Yeah, he
- 53:52Speaker 1: is Owen three or Owen.
- 53:54Speaker 2: Josh does not have a good record in playoffs, to
- 53:57Speaker 2: be honest.
- 53:58Speaker 1: Well, but on the road he's Owen. Whatever.
- 54:01Speaker 2: No, he's got one well and knocked out the three seeds.
- 54:03Speaker 1: And I could see what I was going to say
- 54:06Speaker 1: was if the Bills had lost this game, McDermott.
- 54:08Speaker 2: Was gone, maybe, yeah, it would have been a high probability.
- 54:11Speaker 1: Yes, especially Tom, like with Tom and Tom and I
- 54:14Speaker 1: figured he had one more season and then he was
- 54:16Speaker 1: gonna go.
- 54:16Speaker 2: No, I think Toma takes a year off.
- 54:18Speaker 1: I don't think. I think he's got TV. Yes, And
- 54:21Speaker 1: I don't know who they're going to hire their coach. Oh,
- 54:24Speaker 1: I'll tell you Art Monkin Todd.
- 54:28Speaker 2: Todd's going to Tampa by McDaniel.
- 54:30Speaker 1: Don't want that job.
- 54:33Speaker 2: So yeah, Bills believe Arthur Smith's getting interviews for head coaching,
- 54:38Speaker 2: not oc head coaching.
- 54:40Speaker 1: Okay, that's the surprise of everything right now. Yeah, but
- 54:45Speaker 1: you know.
- 54:45Speaker 2: Trevor, Trevor does Trevor things when it comes to big games.
- 54:49Speaker 2: I mean, hey, you had a good year, but the
- 54:51Speaker 2: Colts sucked, the the Titans sucks. So I mean, you
- 54:57Speaker 2: got it easy and you did go thirteen and fourty
- 55:00Speaker 2: flipped it. You won, you lost thirteen, and that's great.
- 55:02Speaker 2: You had a hell of a year. But you also
- 55:04Speaker 2: had a four and thirteen schedule. You have to remember
- 55:07Speaker 2: that NFL low wher you are. What are they gonna
- 55:10Speaker 2: do with a thirteen and four schedule next year? Guarantee
- 55:12Speaker 2: it's a dip back down to nine and eight. No,
- 55:14Speaker 2: Trevor is just going to be the guy.
- 55:17Speaker 1: Know if those teams are going to improve or take
- 55:19Speaker 1: a step back.
- 55:20Speaker 2: He's not is not and they got too And someone
- 55:22Speaker 2: was on the fucking radio talking about, well, Trevor didn't
- 55:25Speaker 2: have a lot of help. Are you kidding me? But
- 55:28Speaker 2: that Wide Receiver crew, I think most teams. I mean
- 55:31Speaker 2: Josh Allen, Hello, would you put Josh Allen on the Jaguars?
- 55:35Speaker 1: Holy shit?
- 55:37Speaker 2: I mean that's a that part. We got partner, you
- 55:39Speaker 2: got the Washington Parker Washington kid that's come around. You've
- 55:42Speaker 2: got Brian Thomas, and then they traded for what's his
- 55:45Speaker 2: name from the Raiders, Jacoby Myers. Yes, so you're gonna
- 55:49Speaker 2: tell me that he didn't have much help? And you
- 55:52Speaker 2: got Travis Intian, which I don't think he's like a superstar,
- 55:54Speaker 2: but he's a pretty good back. And I don't I
- 55:57Speaker 2: think that was a local radio idiot too said that
- 56:00Speaker 2: that I was listening to, And I'm like, you gotta.
- 56:02Speaker 1: Be kiddy, because because yeah, daltonton k is still questionable. No,
- 56:08Speaker 1: didn't they lose a wide receiver Shavers? He's out? No? Uh? Coleman, Coleman,
- 56:15Speaker 1: maybe maybe he's out out now. I don't see him
- 56:18Speaker 1: on the list, but I don't even think he played
- 56:21Speaker 1: in that game. Did it? It's possible. It's possible. You
- 56:24Speaker 1: look here at the bow box score.
- 56:26Speaker 2: But anyway, twenty seven to twenty four. I think Trevor
- 56:29Speaker 2: threw a pick his last at the last drive, he
- 56:35Speaker 2: threw a pick. So his stats eighteen to thirty, three touchdowns,
- 56:40Speaker 2: two interceptions against the Bill's defense, it's ranked twelve. I mean,
- 56:43Speaker 2: they're also one of the lower ones. Forgot to mention
- 56:45Speaker 2: about the forty nine.
- 56:46Speaker 1: Ers defense interception with ten seconds left. There you go, So.
- 56:52Speaker 2: Were they ended that much of scoring? I think that
- 56:54Speaker 2: was just the first play, wasn't it. Yeah, I think
- 56:56Speaker 2: he threw it. They got the ball back and he
- 56:58Speaker 2: threw it first play.
- 57:00Speaker 1: With a pick.
- 57:02Speaker 2: But hey, good year for Jacksonville. You can't be disappointed.
- 57:04Speaker 2: Minus you got your butt cake by a team that's
- 57:06Speaker 2: not really that good. But god, isn't it looking if
- 57:09Speaker 2: you can beat Denver? Isn't it really looking like this
- 57:14Speaker 2: is the Bills year? Or is the Patriots back?
- 57:19Speaker 1: No, they will get beat in the championship game because
- 57:22Speaker 1: that's the way the Bills playing. Bills raise everybody hope,
- 57:26Speaker 1: raise everyone's hopes, only to shit the bet.
- 57:28Speaker 2: Okay, that's the early game. Three thirty our time on Saturday.
- 57:32Speaker 2: Forty six and a half four is the over under
- 57:35Speaker 2: and Denver's favored at home only by one and a half,
- 57:38Speaker 2: which surprises me because they had to buy. What says you, Sean, I.
- 57:46Speaker 1: You look down here and see what these guys have
- 57:48Speaker 1: been doing in their last ten It looks like it
- 57:52Speaker 1: might be a twenty to thirteen Denver game.
- 57:56Speaker 2: Okay, I got Denver winning too. I'm rooting for the Bills,
- 58:00Speaker 2: but I got twenty seven to twenty four. I like
- 58:03Speaker 2: the over in this game, and I like him to cover.
- 58:05Speaker 1: You're on the underside. I have not seen the weather.
- 58:07Speaker 2: What was the weather?
- 58:08Speaker 1: I guess we should really Oh, I think it's sonny
- 58:10Speaker 1: and fifty four degrees.
- 58:13Speaker 2: Oh damn, look at that forty threes. That's Sonny. Yes,
- 58:17Speaker 2: I like the higher scoring.
- 58:18Speaker 1: I'll go with it.
- 58:18Speaker 2: Okay, all right. Then we go on to the Texans
- 58:24Speaker 2: shocking easily easy win against the Steelers twenty three points,
- 58:30Speaker 2: which it was close for the first three quarters.
- 58:32Speaker 1: And then you're like watching Aaron Rodgers trip over everything
- 58:36Speaker 1: and then the turno open field, his own lineman, his
- 58:39Speaker 1: running back turnover.
- 58:41Speaker 2: Go to the box score though, Oh and thank you
- 58:45Speaker 2: Steven a smith for calling Charlie Kirk with all those receptions.
- 58:49Speaker 2: Do you see that? Oh yeah, Charlie Kirk made all
- 58:52Speaker 2: those receptions for the Houston Texans. Charlie Kirk with the
- 58:58Speaker 2: big game Christian. He called him Charlie. So all these
- 59:01Speaker 2: memes have got Charlie Kirk running down the field in
- 59:03Speaker 2: his tie.
- 59:05Speaker 1: Uh, yes he did.
- 59:09Speaker 2: I needed Nico to have five catches. But anyway, on
- 59:12Speaker 2: to look, go back up to the top quarterback. What
- 59:17Speaker 2: isn't getting a lot of love is I thought c J.
- 59:20Speaker 2: Stroud finally played a good playoff game. He did, but
- 59:27Speaker 2: I mean remember the meltdown. But I mean he's not
- 59:30Speaker 2: had in his last year. He was not good. He
- 59:32Speaker 2: has not been the greatest this year.
- 59:36Speaker 1: Chargers.
- 59:36Speaker 2: No, they beat the Chargers, didn't they? Was it the
- 59:38Speaker 2: Chargers last year or was it year before that? Who
- 59:42Speaker 2: come back on them? The Steelers are so many maybe,
- 59:49Speaker 2: but I just I don't think he's played real well
- 59:51Speaker 2: and everyone's kind of forgot how good of a rookie
- 59:54Speaker 2: year he had. And he I thought he played. I
- 59:58Speaker 2: know he had the interception, but I thought he had
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: had a very manageable game.
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: That's your me. I don't kick your foot again, try it.
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: I don't remember what you're but thirty I didn't touch it.
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: Thirty to six was a final on that and we're
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: having technical difficulties. Hopefully you all can't hear that. But
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: Matt shop oh Man, remember him. He's the all time
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: Patsic leader.
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: Is nuts nuts nuts twenty twenty four playoffs. Okay, so
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: they beat the Chargers and then went in to lose to.
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: The That was the big comeback. Remember that's what got
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: Stalely fired. If I'm not mistaken, where's the score?
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: No, that would have been twenty twenty four.
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: Again, it was Harball there last year. No was he
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: is Harball's second year?
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: Okay, I'm thinking of the Cleveland Browns when they went
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: in and beat the Browns because the Browns were looking
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: so good and then lost to Baltimore.
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: And they lost lost, lost, lost to the Colts. Yeah,
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: but that wouldn't have been Stroud just into yours.
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: So well. No, C J. Stroud was in twenty twenty
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: three because it.
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: Was his rookie year and beat the Browns. That's right,
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: got them, Yes, that's right. That was a butt kicking.
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: And then the Ravens turned around and killed them.
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: Yeah, so that was that was the That was c J.
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: Stroud's rookie year, because I remember how good it came in. Yes, yes,
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: then they go in and beat the Chargers, so they
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: looked bad. They look like they have a second round lot.
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: I almost go that box score Sean on that Chargers
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: game right over there on the twenty twenty four let's see. Yeah,
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: I just want to pull that up because I really
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: thought that was that big comeback.
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: That they had.
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: But who knows, everybody, we got slow, slow, No, that
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: wasn't the comeback.
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: So that was just an ass kicking. Yeah, gotcha? All right?
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: Well Texans, they after that fancy little win against the
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: Pittsburgh Steelers that didn't Aaron Rodgers potentially and Mike Tomins
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: career in Pittsburgh, they get to go to the Pits
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: or they get to go to New England. Patriots. Like
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: I said, Texans had the number two overall defense scoring
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: offense was Texans. Patriots are four and five defense offense,
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: so they're pretty good forty one and a half. This
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: is a defensive matchup.
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: Three point, very big defense.
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: Three point favorites in this one, Sean.
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: What you got, I'm taking New England. Let me find
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: the matchup here. What is it a sunny day for them?
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: I don't think the weather's going to be bad anywhere
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: except Shao.
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: Thirty seven sonny or no cloudy thirty seven cloudy? Oh
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: my god, look at everybody that's questionable.
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: I don't think I wish that the you know, Joe
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: Mixon would be really good to have for.
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: Them this year. Oh yeah, well, you know Kittle he
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: he Towar's achilles. So he's gone. But they played without
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: him for a long time in San Francisco. Any now,
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: the Patriots see their last loss was to Buffalo in
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: a surprising manner. Wit, it looks like Houston has just
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: been beating up on the special needs of the league.
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: Correct scoring, I'm gonna take. I'm gonna take probably a
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: seventeen to ten New England. I don't know that there's
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: gonna be a lot of scoring on those defenses.
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: I liked a little bit more. I think New England
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: gets a late score like twenty seven to seventeen, final
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: low scoring for Texans, and then the Patriots get a
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: late score.
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: All right, and then party, that's it. That's it. No,
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: let's move on.
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: Yeah, we picked all the games.
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: That's all the games, alright, it's other games, right, all.
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: Right, enjoy this weekend of football thunder four game win streak.
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: They did beat the Spurs finally last night, which is
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: nice because they've Spurs have kind of honed them well.
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: And you know, we've been talking about the Colorado Avalanche
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: in hockey about how they only have four actual team losses. Correct,
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: technically they have eight because they have twelve because they
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: have eight overtime losses. Who cares, But I'm saying it's
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: still a loss.
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: Who cares?
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: You get a point?
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: You're picking?
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: Shit?
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: Who they have four regular losses? Does anybody else have
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: four just regular loss what's the next best?
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: I believe it's the eleven here.
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: But yeah, okay, so you're you're picking and you just
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: don't like the would no, no.
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: No, I'm saying. I'm saying, congratulations, only four crazy more
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: actual game losses.
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: It's crazy for it is amazing, it's crazy for.
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: Hockey is amazing. But I mean, if you look at
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: it technically, it's twelve I.
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: Think, and you look at the differentials plus seventy nine
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: that I.
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: Don't think any guarantee that's forty four by the lightning
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: is the closest.
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: Thirty something points difference is the closest you can get.
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: In that.
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: And we're looking at what forty five games, so they're
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: they're over half. When's it also game.
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: That should be sick? Oh it's coming up. Okay, it
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: is either the end of January or the beginning of
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: so they don't.
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: They have a really short second half. You know, NBA
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: should be coming up too, because the thunder they're a
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: little bit high. They're forty one games and they're thirty
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: four and seven because they really close.
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: They play close together. Right, Actually, I could just look
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: it up here. You look at the in I'll look
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: at NBA. I don't even know why we have All
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: Star games anymore. I think NHL is probably the most
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: enjoyable to watch. It is February.
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: Oh, we got voting in it's in Los Angeles, February
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: thirteenth through the fifteenth.
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: No, we're not having a twenty twenty six Olympics. What
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: we're not having an All Star Game this year? Really,
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: so it's not until February. And that's how the NHL rolls. Hey,
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: we got guys going.
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: Oh so they can they're going to the take a break.
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, So currently it's the three on three, which
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: is great February. The next one is February twenty twenty
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: seven in New York because twenty twenty six is canceled
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: due to players going for their All Star or for
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: their Olympic commitments in their respective countries. Gotcha? So all right?
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: Anything else? No coaching news is everything is still up
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: in the air. I've heard, I've heard offensive coordinator defensive
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: coordinators of Stefanski's probably getting jobs. I know that who
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: was the who was the one that came out of nowhere? Well,
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: I really think well, I think the Green Bay is
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: probably looking at their coordinators.
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: I don't think they're changing left Lafley Lee's as a
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: head coach.
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: You're saying, is they're looking at that.
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: I don't think he's at the top. I think he's
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: going to get some some some love. But like I said,
- 1:06:59Speaker 2: I I think the Shula guy is really high demand too, mate,
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: So I think Flora's is really fit for Pittsburgh as well.
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: So look for Shula from the Rams or Flora's for
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: Pittsburgh to get it. Harball to me fits New York.
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: Stefanski probably Tennessee. Who takes the Browns job. Gosh, I
- 1:07:22Speaker 2: don't know, day Ball. I mean, would he fit that?
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: Then you've got or Jesse Minner, you know, or Robert
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: Sala I can tell you take that.
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: You right now, we have so many coaches out there
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: that either have head coaching experience or are really good
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: at their position, at their coordinator position, that are being
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: looked at for head coaching.
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: I think Cliff to the Raiders makes sense because it fits.
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: I don't see Cliff getting a bigger job than that,
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: unless he goes to the Atlanta I could see that
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: because they want they think they've got the high scoring.
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know about giving Cliff a
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: head coaching job.
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: I don't either, but I think he's gonna get one.
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: That's that's as possible.
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: He could be in the Mike McDaniel fit. They're all
- 1:08:13Speaker 2: they're still applying, but if they for heead but if
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: they're still applying, but uh, they're still applying, But do
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: they watch the courts but there's there's okay, But they're
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: still applying for head head coaching jobs. But are they
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: getting those? Or maybe just falling back to the O
