New Trauma Recovery Center Opens in Bronzeville | Milwaukee News
Milwaukee’s Bronzeville is getting a groundbreaking trauma recovery center — one of just 56 nationwide — set to open this fall at ThriveOn King. Free mental health care and holistic support will be offered to survivors of violent crime and serious injury, working hand-in-hand with major hospitals like Froedtert and Children’s Wisconsin. Funded by $1.25 million in grants, the center will train culturally competent staff and hire a dedicated case manager to address root social and economic barriers.
