- 0:07issues. Brought to you by the
- 0:10hypnotherapist, demanded by celebrities, CEOs and even
- 0:14royalty. Adam Cox.
- 0:16These recordings took place live from Adam's clinic in London's
- 0:19world famous Harley Street. This podcast features powerful
- 0:23hypnosis, so do not listen while driving or operating machinery.
- 0:27This recording is not suitable for those with epilepsy or
- 0:30severe mental health issues, so get yourself comfortable and
- 0:34enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:40Hi, it's Adam here. And in today's episode of The
- 0:43Hypnotist, you're going to be listening to a hypnosis session
- 0:46all about body shame and body confidence.
- 0:50And I was working with a client that as a result of having a
- 0:56parental figure that was quite judgmental of particularly
- 1:01female bodies, that led them to almost hold back and, and feel
- 1:08shame or awkwardness, awkwardness or discomfort around
- 1:13their body. And they wanted to break this
- 1:16kind of part of them. They were on a vacation in Spain
- 1:20before they returned back to their home.
- 1:22They wanted to bring back with them the confident version of
- 1:27them. And I like to work backwards.
- 1:29And I asked his client, it's like, what would you only be
- 1:33able to do if you had this pure body confidence And those two
- 1:36things that they said, one was to dance in front of other
- 1:40people in a confident way. And the other thing was to wear
- 1:44a bikini. And that's what you're going to
- 1:46hear in this session is an element of accessing that
- 1:51resourceful feeling and doing in their imagination to begin with,
- 1:56but with the intention to do it in reality.
- 1:59And there is that saying, I think it's kind of love like
- 2:03you've never been her and dance like no one's watching.
- 2:06And that element of having that confidence to kind of be free of
- 2:10judgement and have that body confidence works quite well.
- 2:13And they could think of someone that had that level of body
- 2:17confidence. So in a way, there's a
- 2:20performance anxiety technique used here where they observe
- 2:24someone with the resource that they want, tap into that
- 2:27resource and then feel like they're doing it for themselves
- 2:30and then after the session, setting the intention to do it
- 2:32in reality. So this I think will resonate
- 2:36more with women, particularly with a bikini reference.
- 2:39But anyone can feel more body confident and I think having
- 2:44that intention is quite helpful. So set the intention.
- 2:48And if you do like the idea of working with me directly, click
- 2:51the link in the show notes. We can schedule a free
- 2:53consultation call, have a chat. I might be the right
- 2:55hypnotherapist for you. In the meantime though, find a
- 2:58quiet, comfortable place where you won't be disturbed.
- 3:01Relax and enjoy the session. Take a deep breath in, and as
- 3:32you breathe in, just imagine breathing in a feeling of warm
- 3:38relaxation. And as you exhale, just allow
- 3:45yourself to feel that tension, stress or worries is leaving
- 3:53your body in that outward breath.
- 4:03Breathing in, relaxation and exhaling tension.
- 4:09As you allow yourself to feel that you're drifting to a place
- 4:15where change is just natural and effortless.
- 4:22As you breathe in and breathe out, allow yourself to feel, but
- 4:28you're becoming more and more relaxed.
- 4:33Feel the tension melting away from your body, almost like warm
- 4:39waves just washing over you, smoothing away or diluting any
- 4:47stress or worries. When you breathe in, just
- 4:53imagine breathing in a vibrant colour that represents
- 4:59confidence, maybe a bright yellow, orange or something
- 5:05else. As you breathe in, just imagine
- 5:09breathing in that confidence, and as you exhale, imagine a
- 5:16dark shadowy colour leaving in your outward breath that just
- 5:22represents any shame or insecurities.
- 5:28Breathing in confidence, exhaling shame.
- 5:34And you can consider this an emotional transfusion, breathing
- 5:42in what your body needs and exhaling some of the emotional
- 5:48baggage from maybe many years ago.
- 5:53Some of that shame you're releasing doesn't even belong to
- 5:58you, It's just thoughts and ideas that were accumulated
- 6:05perhaps in childhood or adolescence.
- 6:09Feel that shame leaving your body and then breathe in even
- 6:14more of that distilled self-confidence.
- 6:21The deeper you breathe, the more relaxed you become, And the more
- 6:26relaxed you become, the more your imagination awakens.
- 6:34And I wonder if you could imagine standing on a beautiful
- 6:38beach in the South of Spain. Maybe you could imagine golden
- 6:45sands, perhaps a gentle breeze. Maybe you could imagine seeing
- 6:54palm trees nearby. And maybe there's other clues
- 7:00that you're there in the South of Spain.
- 7:05Maybe it's sounds and senses, smells.
- 7:13Maybe there's an energy, an ambience around you.
- 7:16And imagine being there on the sandy part of that beach.
- 7:24Maybe you could imagine the sand being soft or even warm.
- 7:29And imagine hearing the rhythmic sounds of the waves gently
- 7:35breaking on the shore. Maybe you could imagine people
- 7:43in conversation or music playing further away.
- 7:47Just get a sense that you feel comfortable and relaxed in this
- 7:53place and with each breath in you inhale peace, relaxation and
- 8:04confidence. And as you exhale, you are
- 8:10releasing any tension, any doubts, or any lingering
- 8:16self-conscious thoughts. Feel that you're letting that
- 8:21baggage go. And as you let the baggage go,
- 8:27feel your body becoming lighter, as if the very air around you is
- 8:34supporting you, comforting you, encouraging you.
- 8:43As you walk along the shore, someone catches your eye.
- 8:49I want to see someone dancing on the beach.
- 8:54Not awkwardly dancing or self consciously dancing.
- 9:00See them being uninhibited, oozing confidence, full of self
- 9:08acceptance. See the way their body moves to
- 9:14the rhythm of the music, their body free, fluid.
- 9:20Get a sense that they are moving like they don't care what anyone
- 9:28else thinks. And maybe you.
- 9:32Recognize this person and what they stand for, what you know
- 9:38about them. Imagine them wearing a bikini,
- 9:47their body glowing with self-confidence, radiating joy.
- 9:53And notice what you notice perhaps their ease, their
- 10:00playfulness, how comfortable they look in their own skin.
- 10:07They are completely immune to any judgement, as if the world
- 10:13is celebrating their presence, not scrutinising it.
- 10:20I want you to imagine stepping closer to them, observing their
- 10:25facial expressions, their posture, the looseness of their
- 10:30body and feel that you are absorbing their energy.
- 10:38Notice how they move, how they smile, how they glow with an
- 10:44undeniable self assurance. And as you watch them, something
- 10:56within you stirs a recognition, a deep knowing that this
- 11:03confidence, this freedom, this self acceptance exists within.
- 11:09You also notice there's people watching them but the dancer
- 11:23doesn't care. And then imagine what it would
- 11:30feel like to step forward into their body, to feel what it
- 11:36would feel like to be them. To have that level of
- 11:41confidence, self acceptance, joy and freedom.
- 11:47Feel yourself smiling. Look at the faces of people
- 11:52around you and seeing that some people are ambivalent, some
- 11:58people are judge mental, but it doesn't affect how you feel.
- 12:05Other people's judgements do not change your value to feel what
- 12:13it feels like to be them. Imagine yourself wearing that
- 12:18bikini, dancing the way they dance, and feel the music
- 12:23guiding your movements, your body responding with grace and
- 12:29joy. Notice where you feel that
- 12:34freedom of the moment, the sheer pleasure of expressing yourself
- 12:40through dance. And maybe you notice how light
- 12:45and free you feel, as if every movement is effortless and
- 12:51natural. You are mindful, fully present,
- 12:55fully alive, completely uninhibited.
- 13:03Imagine being one of those people watching, but notice
- 13:09something has changed. You're no longer watching them.
- 13:16You're watching yourself like you're a stranger as you now see
- 13:23yourself dancing, see yourself wearing that bikini, moving in
- 13:31your unique way, smiling, exuding confidence and self
- 13:37acceptance. And maybe you see yourself
- 13:42dancing in the sunshine. Or maybe it's a cloudy day and
- 13:46you're dancing in the coolness of the rain.
- 13:50It doesn't matter how many people are there or what the
- 13:53weather is, the only thing that matters is that you are
- 13:58radiating self acceptance. You're radiating confidence and
- 14:04pure joy. No Fear, no shame, no
- 14:10hesitation, just freedom. And notice that your judgement
- 14:15of yourself here is admiration, inspiration, and anyone else
- 14:25making any other judgements is more about them than it does
- 14:29about you. I want you to get a sense that
- 14:34you can't change the judgements of other people, only your
- 14:39response to them. And I want you to imagine
- 14:44someone nearby shouting something critical, rude or
- 14:49harsh, and then see that version of you smile at them, unfazed,
- 14:58unbothered, and notice how it completely crumbles the
- 15:05perception of that person making that judgement.
- 15:11When people try and trigger someone else when they realise
- 15:15they can't, quite often their negative intention comes back to
- 15:21them, but amplified. So see that version of you
- 15:28immune to judgement? Then step into that version of
- 15:36you. You are now wearing the bikini.
- 15:41You are the one dancing. Feel the sand beneath your feet,
- 15:47the music, the lyrics. Your body is strong, beautiful,
- 15:50and worthy of celebration. You're not dancing for anyone
- 15:54else, you're dancing for you. So feel yourself moving with
- 15:59confidence, with joy, with absolute certainty that you
- 16:04belong here. And if anyone watches, you
- 16:11simply don't care. You are not dancing for them,
- 16:16you are dancing for you. Wearing a bikini is an
- 16:23expression of your body confidence and dancing is an
- 16:27expression of your joy. This is for you and no one else.
- 16:35Because in this moment you feel that you are manifesting the
- 16:42confidence and self-expression without fear.
- 16:47No judgement here matters. You are untouchable, immune and
- 16:55free. And maybe you imagine dancing
- 17:00for a few moments, minutes or even hours, but as you continue
- 17:05to move, the feeling settles deep within you.
- 17:09It becomes a part of you, something you can access
- 17:13anytime, anywhere and whenever you need to feel this
- 17:18confidence, just take a breath. Remember this speech, this
- 17:24moment, this feeling of absolute liberation.
- 17:32I want you to get a sense then a change has already occurred by
- 17:38thinking this way and if you ever decide to turn a thought
- 17:45into reality, you will amplify feelings of self acceptance and
- 17:51body confidence by 10. And each time you dance for you,
- 17:57the joy will increase and whenever you choose to wear a
- 18:01bikini, it will be an expression of self acceptance and
- 18:06confidence. No need to prove anyone else
- 18:10wrong. You are doing this for you.
- 18:18So whether in the future you're on a beach, by a pool, at a
- 18:23party or taking a dance class, this feeling remains.
- 18:29You are free, you are confident, and you are immune to judgement
- 18:36because other people's judgements of their expression
- 18:41of them, just as your judgements are an expression of you.
- 18:50Imagine finishing that dance confidently walking back.
- 18:57Imagine it's time to leave the beach and imagine that you are
- 19:01now on a journey home, maybe a long drive, but feel that the
- 19:06version of you that returns is a different version of you, an
- 19:12evolved identity, an expression of you with the highest levels
- 19:18of self esteem, confidence and self acceptance.
- 19:23This is your transformation and you enjoy this shift, but it's
- 19:31time to return to the present, back to the here and now, taking
- 19:34all these wonderful thoughts, ideas and changes with you.
- 19:39So take a deep breath in through the nose and out through your
- 19:45nose. Just wiggle your fingers and
- 19:48wiggle your toes. Start to connect with the here
- 19:50and the now as I now count from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken you.
- 19:56Starting to count 123 waking up 456 more alert. 7-8 Open your
- 20:05eyes, Open your eyes 910 Wide awake, Wide awake, wide awake.
