- 0:26Speaker 2: that magic on our daily radio shows or on Salem

- 0:32Speaker 2: a suit and tie on Salem News Channel. But look
- 0:35Speaker 2: at me with my Hawaiian special Mark. That's just another
- 0:39Speaker 2: day in the life of Mark Davisdy.
- 0:42Speaker 3: Welcome in.

- 1:09Speaker 2: com slash M M Extra. Mark. When we first got
- 1:13Speaker 2: settled in on Salem News Channel. I hated wearing a
- 1:17Speaker 2: suit and tie, but unfortunately that's the gig and they
- 1:20Speaker 2: kind of so that. Look but look at me here
- 1:22Speaker 2: in the podcast. Look how comfortable I feel good? I
- 1:25Speaker 2: feel I'm feeling great. I look, I'm in a good
- 1:27Speaker 2: mood despite every the universe trying to take me out
- 1:30Speaker 2: of it.
- 1:31Speaker 3: I'd be.
- 1:33Speaker 2: A little Tracy said, you're cranky today. I'm not cranky.
- 1:36Speaker 2: I'm in a good mood. Just nobody's nobody's normal, everybody's
- 1:41Speaker 2: everybody's just just you know, on my nerves today, are
- 1:44Speaker 2: you not? You don't don't get don't get on my
- 1:46Speaker 2: bad side of that now.
- 1:47Speaker 3: I shan't if I recognized the short fews, and I
- 1:49Speaker 3: will walk in proper respect of it. Are you are
- 1:52Speaker 3: you still? Are are you still sort of stunned by
- 1:55Speaker 3: by the the the pharmacy controversy pushback?
- 1:59Speaker 2: I am, and I did do some research. Actually Tracy
- 2:02Speaker 2: did it thanks to her Flora Florida law. And we'll
- 2:05Speaker 2: tell everybody what this is about in a minute. But
- 2:07Speaker 2: Florida law does not require every pharmacy to close for lunch.
- 2:11Speaker 2: There is no law that.
- 2:13Speaker 3: Okay, careful It wasn't about whether it requires them to
- 2:15Speaker 3: close for lunch. It's about whether it requires them to
- 2:17Speaker 3: have a pharmacist in the building right there whenever the
- 2:21Speaker 3: pharmacy is open. Since since they got to be on
- 2:23Speaker 3: they can have two pharmacists around all the flip and
- 2:26Speaker 3: pharmacies have to close between one thirty and two CBS,
- 2:29Speaker 3: does it? You said? Other chains do, which makes us
- 2:31Speaker 3: all crazy because I can usually go at multiple times,
- 2:34Speaker 3: but if it's one forty five, you know, and I
- 2:37Speaker 3: need my sinthroid. I don't want to be driving around
- 2:39Speaker 3: the block for twenty minute.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Well, and the law in Florida means the pharmacist has
- 2:45Speaker 2: to be on the premises. Well, there's a lot of pharmacists.
- 2:48Speaker 2: I'm sure can have a sandwich in the break room.
- 2:50Speaker 2: They're on the premises, and if all hell breaks loose,
- 2:53Speaker 2: then the pharmacy tech go get them. I mean this,
- 2:56Speaker 2: and this is what happened yesterday.
- 2:58Speaker 3: If you didn't.
- 2:59Speaker 2: Hear our section earlier today on your show, I went
- 3:02Speaker 2: viral last night and it scared the crap out of
- 3:05Speaker 2: me because I watched how many people were talking about
- 3:08Speaker 2: my post, which essentially said that the policy of CVS
- 3:13Speaker 2: pharmacy closing at one thirty every day so that the
- 3:16Speaker 2: pharmacist can have lunch is idiotic? Is it only my
- 3:20Speaker 2: pharmacy or is this across the board? Well then it
- 3:23Speaker 2: went crazy and before you know it, three hundred four hundred,
- 3:27Speaker 2: five hundred thousand people. It was great except to terrify
- 3:30Speaker 2: because then I started getting all these threats.
- 3:32Speaker 3: You got a little bit co thees man. You just
- 3:34Speaker 3: you just got to let them know. Off your back,
- 3:36Speaker 3: lean in and bray, embrace it, say oh good, bring it. Come,
- 3:39Speaker 3: let them light let them light you on fire. I
- 3:41Speaker 3: don't want to get a lit on fire. I'd like
- 3:42Speaker 3: to I'd like to stick around for a little while.
- 3:44Speaker 3: And just there was something about the enormity of how
- 3:47Speaker 3: viral it was getting. And it was viral because it
- 3:50Speaker 3: touches a nerve because a lot of people were like,
- 3:52Speaker 3: the way you and I feel, this is stupid. It's
- 3:54Speaker 3: a dumb policy. But a lot of people were defending them. Hey,
- 3:58Speaker 3: it's a half hour, first world problems. Let the pharmacist
- 4:01Speaker 3: have lunch. He's got to be on duty.
- 4:04Speaker 2: You know, they are a pharmacy, they are in the
- 4:06Speaker 2: customer service business. Mark, I mean I grow weary.
- 4:11Speaker 3: And listen to you. And I will sometimes self deprecatingly
- 4:15Speaker 3: talk about first world gripes that we have. But I've
- 4:18Speaker 3: had it a little bit up to my eyeballs about
- 4:20Speaker 3: being given the first world lecture. It's brought up for
- 4:24Speaker 3: absolutely anything. It's like, well, Mike and Mark, you realize
- 4:27Speaker 3: there are people in the world that don't have a
- 4:28Speaker 3: pot to be in, and you're concerned about whether the
- 4:31Speaker 3: pharmacy is open. I mean, I know, I get it,
- 4:33Speaker 3: I get it. But we are in America and we
- 4:36Speaker 3: do have a place that's open to accommodate the public,
- 4:38Speaker 3: and I don't think it's too crazy to suggest that
- 4:40Speaker 3: they not have a downtime of a half an hour
- 4:42Speaker 3: in the middle of the day.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Well, I had a bunch of really smart callers on
- 4:46Speaker 2: this today when I talked about it on the show,
- 4:48Speaker 2: and one guy said, look, I'm a capitalist. He said,
- 4:51Speaker 2: look at this as an opportunity. What a great way
- 4:54Speaker 2: to open up a pharmacy down the street from CBS
- 4:57Speaker 2: and say we're open every day from six am to
- 5:00Speaker 2: eight pm. You know we're not gonna close for lunch
- 5:04Speaker 2: because the pharmacist has and look at all the lives.
- 5:07Speaker 3: Or maybe just have minimal staffing and just have the
- 5:10Speaker 3: one PM pharmacy saying we're we're open from one to two.
- 5:14Speaker 3: That's it, and there'd be a line around though we
- 5:17Speaker 3: have twelve Goss's one two. They'd make a million dollars
- 5:21Speaker 3: and a half an hour. And that's America to me.
- 5:23Speaker 2: There you go, that's America, and that's the engine ingenuity,
- 5:27Speaker 2: ingenuity of capitalism. By the way, there are some already
- 5:30Speaker 2: first world problem comments, including a borderline troll in there
- 5:35Speaker 2: and that live chat Ebo knows. I remember Ebo knows
- 5:40Speaker 2: from yesterday. Hey, Ebo knows, you better tread carefully or
- 5:43Speaker 2: you're gonna get blocked.
- 5:44Speaker 3: I'm about to what did this person do?
- 5:46Speaker 2: What's first world problems? Poor mind?
- 5:49Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, I got your poor mind now speaking, I'm
- 5:53Speaker 3: gonna try to do something. Yeah, the wonderful, wonderful work
- 5:56Speaker 3: Eric and he has when aren't just doing stuff every
- 5:58Speaker 3: day that's obvious usually and and operationally. But Mike and
- 6:04Speaker 3: I both got this wonderful heart for service thing from
- 6:08Speaker 3: Yasmin with some ideas, and all they were was great
- 6:12Speaker 3: and one of them is going to require me to
- 6:14Speaker 3: actually lean into the chat thing that you've obsessed about
- 6:18Speaker 3: since day one. On the fourth and all, I love
- 6:19Speaker 3: the chat room for the well, you're about to love
- 6:21Speaker 3: it even more because her idea was, why don't we
- 6:23Speaker 3: toss a pole question into the chat room so that
- 6:27Speaker 3: they can answer the poll question instead of climbing up
- 6:29Speaker 3: our ass about everything that they sorry, So I love that.
- 6:35Speaker 2: I saw that, So here we go.
- 6:37Speaker 3: So I think I've crafted this well, she says, it's
- 6:40Speaker 3: ready to go. So on, So you listen. You can
- 6:43Speaker 3: climb and do whatever you want. But here's the thing.
- 6:45Speaker 3: We are at some point, Mike and me, at some
- 6:47Speaker 3: point we are going to bag on Darlene some more,
- 6:50Speaker 3: kidding lovingly, but very objectively. Ask people, as we've talked
- 6:54Speaker 3: about this, Darlene, Ralph Norman. Some of you're in South Carolina.
- 6:57Speaker 3: Most of you are not right on the pole thing.
- 7:00Speaker 3: And I don't even know. Here we go, well, I
- 7:02Speaker 3: don't even know how they do this, but go there
- 7:03Speaker 3: and figure it out. We're asking the chat room things.
- 7:08Speaker 3: If you're in South Carolina, what would be your choice?
- 7:10Speaker 3: Would you vote for Darlene Graham Nordon or would you
- 7:13Speaker 3: vote for Ralph Gorman?
- 7:14Speaker 2: But don't limit it to South Carolina. Anybody I'm saying hypothetically, Yeah,
- 7:20Speaker 2: everybody's business people.
- 7:22Speaker 3: Get on me about it. You don't live in you
- 7:24Speaker 3: don't live in Kentucky. What do you care about? Mitch McConn.
- 7:26Speaker 3: Because I'm an American and a functional Senate means something
- 7:30Speaker 3: to all of us. So Darlene or Ralph poll question
- 7:33Speaker 3: open to everybody there on the she can get in
- 7:37Speaker 3: your ear or something. I don't even understand. Well, where's
- 7:39Speaker 3: the poll?
- 7:39Speaker 2: I don't see it. I got the page open. She
- 7:42Speaker 2: said it's ready. Oh, she hasn't done it yet. She
- 7:44Speaker 2: hasn't done yet. She hasn't put it up yet. No,
- 7:47Speaker 2: she said, not ready yet. She just told me she's
- 7:49Speaker 2: not ready to hear cos go all right, there is
- 7:52Speaker 2: who should win the South Carolina GOP runoff for Senate
- 7:55Speaker 2: Darlene Graham, And really it ought to be Darlene Graham
- 7:59Speaker 2: nor Dome.
- 8:01Speaker 3: I thought about you, I asked. I emailed this to
- 8:04Speaker 3: her just and said, should I add the nor Dome
- 8:07Speaker 3: to make Mike happy?
- 8:09Speaker 1: Right?
- 8:09Speaker 2: You and you and Yasmin are conspiring against me because
- 8:11Speaker 2: you know it makes me crazy, and your and your
- 8:14Speaker 2: mother Teresa over there. Well, it's just branding It's okay,
- 8:17Speaker 2: you drop the married name because she's running for office. No,
- 8:20Speaker 2: her name is Darlene Graham nordone, so that's okay, all right?
- 8:24Speaker 2: So who should win the South Carolina GOP runoff for
- 8:27Speaker 2: Senate Darlene Graham or Ralph Norman? So how's this going
- 8:30Speaker 2: to work? When people vote? When are we going to
- 8:32Speaker 2: see the results? This is all new.
- 8:34Speaker 3: She's in your world more than mine in terms of
- 8:36Speaker 3: direct connectivity, so we.
- 8:39Speaker 2: See it right in live, in real time, yasmin or does.
- 8:41Speaker 3: It total Hold onto this and tell everybody how it
- 8:44Speaker 3: worked out. At the end of today's episode, she.
- 8:47Speaker 2: Said, Oh, she said, we let her know when to
- 8:49Speaker 2: end it, and then I guess she can give us.
- 8:52Speaker 3: Look at that we've already got.
- 8:53Speaker 2: It looks like we got twenty eight votes already in
- 8:55Speaker 2: about five seconds.
- 8:56Speaker 3: All right, okay, well listen, any plan we had to
- 9:01Speaker 3: talk about anything is now off because Mike will not
- 9:03Speaker 3: be offering every sixty seconds updates on how the poll
- 9:07Speaker 3: is going.
- 9:07Speaker 2: Right, So I need real I need to give you real,
- 9:10Speaker 2: real time examples of the No. I need to play
- 9:13Speaker 2: by play on the pole.
- 9:14Speaker 3: And every vote. And what let's do is let if
- 9:18Speaker 3: I'm Okay on this if you asmen can tell us
- 9:20Speaker 3: that if we say tally it up and we can
- 9:23Speaker 3: have that within sixty seconds, how about if we do
- 9:25Speaker 3: that in our closing moments. Sound good?
- 9:27Speaker 2: Sure I don't mind, But you know it's crazy because
- 9:29Speaker 2: I haven't intrigued by how many votes we're getting. Yep,
- 9:32Speaker 2: this is going to make me crazy because I'm learning
- 9:34Speaker 2: how this whole podcast space works and YouTube. This is
- 9:36Speaker 2: all Look, we admit we're a couple of boomers. This
- 9:39Speaker 2: is all new to us. We're pleasantly surprised at how
- 9:41Speaker 2: well this thing is starting. We're thrilled and how well
- 9:44Speaker 2: it's going, and how much we both enjoy the heck
- 9:47Speaker 2: out of this every day. This is a community that
- 9:50Speaker 2: we've kind of created. We're loving it. And if you're
- 9:52Speaker 2: if you're following us, even Apple, Spotify, if you're on
- 9:55Speaker 2: the podcast you're driving home from work, just sure you
- 9:57Speaker 2: know the timing of the way things are done. We
- 10:00Speaker 2: are live on YouTube at noon Eastern eleventh Central every
- 10:04Speaker 2: day and then later in the day. The whole podcast
- 10:07Speaker 2: is available wherever you get your podcasts, especially Spotify, Apple,
- 10:12Speaker 2: salempodcastnetwork dot com. If you want the details now here's
- 10:15Speaker 2: what's going to be intriguing to me. Speaking of live.
- 10:17Speaker 2: So we've got about ninety one hundred people right now
- 10:20Speaker 2: watching already we've got forty forty two votes. Yeah, what
- 10:25Speaker 2: if we have more votes than we have people watching?
- 10:28Speaker 3: I would think it's clearly a run. Like a blue
- 10:31Speaker 3: set rig, it's rigged. It's a Democrat round stap it
- 10:35Speaker 3: yas was a Democrat possible to I assume once you've well,
- 10:40Speaker 3: I would think once you're voted, you can't vote again.
- 10:42Speaker 2: It's not America. Maybe maybe could be American idol. You
- 10:46Speaker 2: can vote all that, you can vote, you can vote
- 10:48Speaker 2: repeatedly right, ten times, just like California. So interesting, it's yeah,
- 10:52Speaker 2: so fascinating. Well, we'll watch it. And like you said
- 10:54Speaker 2: toward the end of the podcast, but here's some breaking
- 10:57Speaker 2: news with Darlene Graham Nor don't you ready for this?
- 10:59Speaker 3: Sure?
- 10:59Speaker 2: And you and I I keep getting accused of bagging
- 11:01Speaker 2: on her. One guy wrote this morning, you and Mark
- 11:04Speaker 2: are crapping. He didn't use the word crap. You guys
- 11:07Speaker 2: are crapping all over Darlene Graham nordone. She'll be in
- 11:10Speaker 2: line with Trump. What's wrong with you? We're not crapping
- 11:12Speaker 2: on her. We just don't know anything about her, and
- 11:14Speaker 2: we don't want her to be Lisa Murkowski.
- 11:16Speaker 3: No, and there's just no way to be certain. Listen,
- 11:19Speaker 3: she talks a good game. She seems like a neat lady.
- 11:21Speaker 3: She's a woman of great accomplishment, she's a woman of substance.
- 11:24Speaker 3: But what a huge flyer were being asked to take
- 11:27Speaker 3: without knowing anything about her. Someone did say something interesting
- 11:30Speaker 3: to you on the radio earlier, which happens often like
- 11:33Speaker 3: a good America. I'm listening to the Mike Gallagher Show,
- 11:35Speaker 3: and I think you recounted what someone told you, something
- 11:38Speaker 3: along the lines of, hey, Trump picked her. All she
- 11:40Speaker 3: has to do is just follow Trump's lead, do whatever
- 11:43Speaker 3: he tells her, and she'll be fine, which, by the way,
- 11:45Speaker 3: would be true. But I just don't know, like I
- 11:48Speaker 3: know my own name, that we could count on her
- 11:50Speaker 3: to do that in year number two, year number three?
- 11:52Speaker 3: What about after he's gone? So I don't want to
- 11:55Speaker 3: have that nervousness. Ralph Norman is a proven entity, and
- 11:58Speaker 3: that's why he would obviously beat my always. But it's
- 12:00Speaker 3: a free country. People can do whatever they want, both
- 12:02Speaker 3: in our poll and in the state of South Carolina
- 12:05Speaker 3: on Tuesday, where you shared the two things canna be
- 12:09Speaker 3: true at the same time. I don't want to put
- 12:10Speaker 3: words in your mouth. You think it gets crazier by
- 12:14Speaker 3: the day that she might win, but you absolutely, steadfastly
- 12:17Speaker 3: still believe that she might win.
- 12:19Speaker 2: I think she might win. I really continue to believe it,
- 12:22Speaker 2: and I talked to Joey last night. Joey Hudson said,
- 12:24Speaker 2: you guys got to understand the layout, the lay of
- 12:26Speaker 2: the land in South Carolina. Trump's endorsements going to carry
- 12:30Speaker 2: a lot of weight. There are a lot of people
- 12:32Speaker 2: who find her lack of political experience refreshing. There are
- 12:35Speaker 2: people who say, oh, I don't want another politician.
- 12:38Speaker 3: I want to and they're right, and those are good points.
- 12:41Speaker 3: It's part of how Trump want is. I'm not a politician,
- 12:43Speaker 3: but Trump knew stuff about stuff. This attempt to fluff
- 12:48Speaker 3: her and make excuses for like, well, somebody actually said that,
- 12:52Speaker 3: you know. I'd rather have somebody say they didn't know
- 12:55Speaker 3: than pretend to know and b ss well, of course,
- 12:58Speaker 3: but you've got to know stuff. I painted a picture
- 13:02Speaker 3: of imagining a Republican primary and asking one candidate, do
- 13:06Speaker 3: we need borders and have that candidate go. You know,
- 13:09Speaker 3: I just haven't really thought that much about borders. I
- 13:12Speaker 3: don't know, you'll need to get back just I know
- 13:14Speaker 3: it's it's only one question, I know, but it's a
- 13:17Speaker 3: vital one and you didn't know the answer to it.
- 13:19Speaker 2: Yeah, but let me let me let me tell you what.
- 13:21Speaker 2: I asked the people who called the show today who
- 13:24Speaker 2: support Darlene and I asked them why, and they gave
- 13:27Speaker 2: various reasons from She's I'm okay with her being an outsider.
- 13:31Speaker 2: I'm not going to judge her on the one bad
- 13:33Speaker 2: question that she you know, the one bad answer.
- 13:35Speaker 3: Blah blah blah.
- 13:35Speaker 2: But then I said, okay, now tell me what you
- 13:38Speaker 2: think of Lisa Murkowski. Do you know that of the
- 13:41Speaker 2: guess what none of the callers who I asked knew
- 13:46Speaker 2: even knew who Lisa Murkowski is.
- 13:48Speaker 3: That they should know what it's like a woman go rogue.
- 13:54Speaker 2: But that's but that's the problem. That's the issue. We
- 13:58Speaker 2: think everybody's plugged in and knows what a what a
- 14:02Speaker 2: backstabbing rhino, people like uh, you know Lisa Murkowski became,
- 14:06Speaker 2: or Susan Collins for that matter, or Tom Tillis or
- 14:09Speaker 2: even John Corny. We think they're in the weeds with us.
- 14:13Speaker 2: They're not Mark and that's the therein is the is
- 14:16Speaker 2: the beauty for for Lindsey's sister Darlene. Is gonna count
- 14:20Speaker 2: on people not really following this stuff that closely. They
- 14:23Speaker 2: know Trump endorses her. They know Tim Scott, who's very
- 14:27Speaker 2: popular in South Carolina. He endorses her. She's gonna win.
- 14:31Speaker 2: I'm telling you she's going to win. Tuesday, we're gonna
- 14:34Speaker 2: find out. I gotta ask you about the mystery of
- 14:38Speaker 2: Greta van Sustrin, you and I, and let's do that
- 14:41Speaker 2: here after I first remind you about one of our
- 14:43Speaker 2: great great sponsors. And look, sponsors are why we're able
- 14:46Speaker 2: to do this with such no no secret here, and
- 14:50Speaker 2: we we love telling you about a great platform like eckel. Uh,
- 14:54Speaker 2: it's just great family entertainment e k k L dot com.
- 14:58Speaker 2: The stars of Duck Dynasty put poored, blood, sweat and
- 15:01Speaker 2: tears into this. WILLI and Corey Robertson teamed up with
- 15:04Speaker 2: Eckel and created this wonderful streaming platform built around faith
- 15:08Speaker 2: and family, and I'm enjoying the heck out of it.
- 15:10Speaker 2: I'm watching Echel now on my on my Apple TV.
- 15:13Speaker 2: You get movies and TV shows that you'll want, you'll
- 15:16Speaker 2: be able to watch with your friends, your kids, your grandkids.
- 15:19Speaker 2: You get podcasts and every day you get daily devotionals.
- 15:22Speaker 2: If you like the fact that Mark and I pray

- 15:31Speaker 2: how you live and what you believe. And the best
- 15:33Speaker 2: part of all, Mark, you get it all for just
- 15:35Speaker 2: five dollars and eighty three cents a month. Echol dot com,

- 16:08Speaker 3: People need a basic understanding of how great it is

- 17:18Speaker 2: I got a text today from our mutual friend and
- 17:21Speaker 2: co colleague Tom Tradup after seeing Greta Van Sustrian's weird
- 17:26Speaker 2: pushback against the criticism that Darlene Graham Nordone is getting.
- 17:31Speaker 2: Tom said somebody should ask Greta van Sustrin why nobody
- 17:35Speaker 2: gave Dan Quail any attention to all the other questions
- 17:39Speaker 2: in his debate. After Lloyd Benson said, Senator I knew
- 17:42Speaker 2: Jack Kennedy. Jack Kennedy was my friend. Senator You're no
- 17:45Speaker 2: Jack Kennedy. It's a big moment, and everybody talked about
- 17:48Speaker 2: that moment. Well, guess how about when Ronald Reagan said,
- 17:52Speaker 2: you know, you know, I can't be blame you for
- 17:55Speaker 2: your youthful inexperience to Mondale was a great moment. And
- 17:59Speaker 2: it showed how really lovable and.
- 18:02Speaker 3: Jimmy Carter, there you go again. I mean, why do
- 18:04Speaker 3: you go over everything else in an hour and a
- 18:06Speaker 3: half because they're gonna be viral moments.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Well, here the Darlene Graham Nordone viral moment came when
- 18:13Speaker 2: she said that national security isn't my thing. That's what
- 18:17Speaker 2: I'm that's about. When I fell off the couch and
- 18:19Speaker 2: rolled around on the floor like like a fish out
- 18:21Speaker 2: of water. I couldn't believe my eyes and my ears.
- 18:24Speaker 2: So let's check out the peculiar reaction from Greta van Sustrn,
- 18:28Speaker 2: who took to her own show yesterday to complain about
- 18:32Speaker 2: the media's treatment of poor Darlene.
- 18:37Speaker 4: What is wrong with you? I don't mean you the viewer.
- 18:40Speaker 4: I'm talking about my colleagues in the media. What is
- 18:43Speaker 4: wrong with them? What's wrong with us in the media?
- 18:45Speaker 4: You would think there was a way. One question asked
- 18:48Speaker 4: in One Question answered last night with the NEWSMAX moderated
- 18:51Speaker 4: Senate Republican Debate, if our Taiwan and the sales China
- 18:56Speaker 4: see national security issues for the United States, And if so,
- 19:00Speaker 4: why or how?
- 19:03Speaker 5: I'm just going to be honest here I'm not on
- 19:05Speaker 5: national security that I'm not that informed on national security.
- 19:09Speaker 5: So I do support the military. My brother was in
- 19:15Speaker 5: the Air Force for thirty three years, so I will
- 19:18Speaker 5: do everything I can to support the military. My dad
- 19:23Speaker 5: was in the army. I'm not a polished politician up here.
- 19:26Speaker 5: I'm not a national security is not my thing, not
- 19:30Speaker 5: my area of expertise. But I do support the military.
- 19:35Speaker 4: That answers all the media seems to be running or
- 19:37Speaker 4: twitting about today. Really, the media thinks that this one
- 19:41Speaker 4: question is so important to only talk about that and
- 19:44Speaker 4: ignore the other nineteen questions which are forty answers. The
- 19:48Speaker 4: acknowledge of repeating and replaying today of that one answer
- 19:51Speaker 4: by Senator Darling Graham makes the media look bad.
- 19:56Speaker 3: Makes you Ammedia. What's one to her? She has no
- 20:00Speaker 3: basic understanding that there can be something so peculiar that
- 20:04Speaker 3: it jumps out and becomes singularly. Now, I'm now totally
- 20:08Speaker 3: obsessed without even looking every minute at the total, I
- 20:12Speaker 3: now am jumping ahead ten to fifteen minutes when we
- 20:15Speaker 3: do the big reveal on what our poll is here
- 20:17Speaker 3: and take part of the poll there at YouTube live
- 20:19Speaker 3: stream on Ralph or Darlene if it's like eighty twenty
- 20:25Speaker 3: percent for Darlene. Is it just that we're attracting people
- 20:28Speaker 3: who agree with us on this or I don't pretend
- 20:31Speaker 3: that we have this magical power over people. What if
- 20:36Speaker 3: the viewing audience is steadfastly feels the total different way.
- 20:41Speaker 3: Whatever it is, I'll take it, but I'm now intrigued
- 20:43Speaker 3: to see what effect, if any, we have on shaping
- 20:46Speaker 3: the views of the viewing audience.
- 20:48Speaker 2: Well, here's the complication, a complicating part about the Graham
- 20:51Speaker 2: name in South Carolina. And Joey pointed this out about
- 20:55Speaker 2: how you know, the easy retort to anybody who says
- 21:00Speaker 2: that Lindsay was not loved in South Carolina is that
- 21:04Speaker 2: he always won every election, every reelection by a mile.
- 21:08Speaker 2: People pointed out, Yeah, but you know why they have
- 21:11Speaker 2: open primaries in South Carolina. Democrats can vote for Republicans,
- 21:15Speaker 2: and Democrats not only voted for Lindsay in the primary,
- 21:17Speaker 2: but also in the general. And that's why he always won.
- 21:20Speaker 2: Democrats liked him because he's big, you know, wars and
- 21:24Speaker 2: forever Wars and all that.
- 21:25Speaker 3: This has Texas written all over. This is a huge
- 21:27Speaker 3: controversy in Texas right now. Maybe some other states too.
- 21:29Speaker 3: If you're in a presumably red state and your primaries
- 21:33Speaker 3: are open, there's ex percent of Democrats that can go.
- 21:36Speaker 3: Our guyin't gonna win. Why don't we go try to
- 21:39Speaker 3: give us the most the weakest, most centrist Republican. I
- 21:42Speaker 3: don't necessarily mean weak, but let's find the least balls
- 21:46Speaker 3: to the wall conservative we can. I guarantee you a
- 21:49Speaker 3: ton of Democrats crossed over and voted for coining to
- 21:51Speaker 3: that primary. Paston beat him soundly anyway. But I think
- 21:55Speaker 3: what you've described probably is what happened. It leads me
- 21:58Speaker 3: to say, close the primaries, not just for our benefit,
- 22:02Speaker 3: but it seems like the definition of a primary is
- 22:04Speaker 3: that's when a party figures out who its standard bears
- 22:07Speaker 3: should be. So figure out what side you want to
- 22:09Speaker 3: weigh in on and do it. And I'm a big
- 22:10Speaker 3: fan of closing the primaries. How about you, Mike Gallaga?
- 22:14Speaker 2: Oh, I totally agree. I mean, it's it's it kind
- 22:16Speaker 2: of reminds me of what Rush did. What was it
- 22:18Speaker 2: called Operation Chaos, you know, when you cross over party
- 22:22Speaker 2: lines to try to help it impact the outcome. But
- 22:26Speaker 2: that was maybe not something that you and I would embrace.
- 22:29Speaker 2: But you know, it's a different kind of world there
- 22:32Speaker 2: when you're getting Democrats, who are you know, committing Shenanigans?
- 22:37Speaker 2: And I wonder what kind of anybody right of center
- 22:40Speaker 2: slightly in Texas could vote for this. James Tallerico. I
- 22:43Speaker 2: spend some time today on the show talking about what
- 22:46Speaker 2: taller Ico said about the Carmelo Anthony case. Now, you
- 22:49Speaker 2: know this case way better than I do. You're in Texas.
- 22:51Speaker 2: This is a Texas story. Carmelo Anthony is a convicted killer.
- 22:56Speaker 2: He plunged a knife into the chest of a football
- 22:59Speaker 2: standout named Austin Metcalf. There was a dispute at a
- 23:02Speaker 2: track meet. It was raining. Carmelo Anthony was under a
- 23:05Speaker 2: tent trying to get cover from the rain. They told
- 23:07Speaker 2: him you didn't belong here. They got into a scuffle,
- 23:10Speaker 2: he get he reaches in and stabs this kid to death.
- 23:13Speaker 2: He's convicted. One of the sticking points is there were
- 23:17Speaker 2: no blacks on the Carmelo Anthony jury. There were whites,
- 23:21Speaker 2: Asians and Hispanics as I understand.
- 23:23Speaker 3: It right, Mark, but no jury. But there were the
- 23:26Speaker 3: jury correct, correct.
- 23:27Speaker 2: So Tallarico, this weird, peculiar, odd ball kind of mix
- 23:35Speaker 2: of pastor and far left radical code. He shows up
- 23:40Speaker 2: on Charlemagne the Gods Club.
- 23:45Speaker 3: Here at all.
- 23:47Speaker 2: No, no, no, there's no pandering whatsoever. This is a
- 23:50Speaker 2: black audience, black host and Tallarico who is desperate for
- 23:55Speaker 2: black votes in Texas. You want some pandering, check out
- 23:59Speaker 2: this from Texas.
- 24:01Speaker 6: We see whenever looked on Melo Anthony and you said
- 24:03Speaker 6: it was a tragedy. Yeah, what did you mean by that? Well,
- 24:06Speaker 6: I've done a lot of work in the state House
- 24:07Speaker 6: on justice reform, and right now we've got a system
- 24:11Speaker 6: that doesn't serve all Americans equally, and we know that
- 24:15Speaker 6: black Texans have been have not gotten the justice they
- 24:19Speaker 6: deserve in many cases. And you know, I'm not an
- 24:23Speaker 6: expert on this particular case, but I know that there
- 24:24Speaker 6: were no black members.
- 24:26Speaker 3: Of the jury.
- 24:27Speaker 6: And to me, that's the only evidence you need to
- 24:32Speaker 6: really prove that this system is not working for black Texans.
- 24:37Speaker 2: There you go that black's wildly illiterate.
- 24:40Speaker 3: Some of the most dangerous things you can do the
- 24:42Speaker 3: people do is mix in a little bit of truth
- 24:45Speaker 3: to use some credibility to do the other crap you say.
- 24:47Speaker 3: If someone says that we've had some racial imbalance we've
- 24:50Speaker 3: had some imbalance of justice for blacks historically. They're absolutely
- 24:53Speaker 3: correct about that. But does it mean that this case
- 24:55Speaker 3: was decided badly? No, this case was decided just fine.
- 24:58Speaker 3: And there's you know, woke Opie himself saying, oh, I'm
- 25:01Speaker 3: not an experl mis case. Then how about shutting up
- 25:03Speaker 3: about it and looking at the color of the jury
- 25:05Speaker 3: and saying the absence of black Texans must mean that
- 25:08Speaker 3: the jury's finding was an error. That's racist by definition.
- 25:12Speaker 3: That you can't have these people of other races having
- 25:16Speaker 3: clear heads about this. That's absolutely insane.
- 25:20Speaker 2: I had two black callers today, back to back, Black
- 25:23Speaker 2: callers who were very, very defensive of Taller Rico, saying,
- 25:28Speaker 2: do you, as a white man, mister Gallagher, do you
- 25:30Speaker 2: not know the history of racial oppression? And I said,
- 25:36Speaker 2: of course i am. I know there have been a
- 25:38Speaker 2: lot of lynchings and blacks who were unfairly convicted of crimes.
- 25:43Speaker 3: We get that.
- 25:43Speaker 2: Now, are you telling me that if I as a
- 25:47Speaker 2: white man, if I'm charged with a crime, do I
- 25:50Speaker 2: have to have only twelve white jurors? Are you telling
- 25:55Speaker 2: me that if there was an Asian or a Hispanic
- 25:57Speaker 2: or a black juror on a jury deciding my faith
- 26:01Speaker 2: like me, it doesn't look like me now my peer
- 26:04Speaker 2: skin color is the determining factor here.
- 26:08Speaker 3: If it's Mississippi in nineteen sixty two, maybe you got
- 26:11Speaker 3: a kind of a point, and listen, you don't automatically
- 26:14Speaker 3: know that you don't have a point today. But generally speaking,
- 26:17Speaker 3: the voider process, the jury examination process is pretty thorough.
- 26:22Speaker 3: They did have three potential black jurors whom the prosecution,
- 26:26Speaker 3: whom the state disqualified because they were in the education
- 26:29Speaker 3: world and they thought they might come at it with
- 26:31Speaker 3: a kind of a view that was skewed by being
- 26:33Speaker 3: part of a school system. Okay, the notion that it
- 26:36Speaker 3: was racial discrimination is holy without base.
- 26:39Speaker 2: Well, was it true that at least one of those
- 26:43Speaker 2: potential black jurors said, and I think I saw this
- 26:46Speaker 2: somewhere they didn't think they could be fair, that they
- 26:48Speaker 2: would instinctively vote to a quit because he's a young
- 26:52Speaker 2: black man.
- 26:52Speaker 3: I'd have to thank somebody for being real upfront about that,
- 26:55Speaker 3: because that is apparently a processing flaw that infects all
- 27:00Speaker 3: whole lot of people and miss him. Maybe there are
- 27:01Speaker 3: white folks who would you know, definitely side with the
- 27:03Speaker 3: with the white defendant, and those folks don't need to
- 27:06Speaker 3: be on juries either. It's it's going to be. This
- 27:10Speaker 3: is an appeals process. They have the right to appeal.
- 27:12Speaker 3: And they changed judges too, this John Roach, who is
- 27:14Speaker 3: the judge they managed to get him bounced. I had
- 27:17Speaker 3: opposed that, but I may be rethinking that. I think
- 27:20Speaker 3: he ran a pretty tight ship. He did ban cameras
- 27:23Speaker 3: from the courtroom, which I hated. There should be a
- 27:24Speaker 3: camera in every courtroom. It's our business being done in
- 27:27Speaker 3: these criminal trials. But he did do an interview with
- 27:30Speaker 3: local ABC affiliate and which the question was asked, do
- 27:33Speaker 3: you think the jury got it right? And he basically said, yeah,
- 27:35Speaker 3: I think they did, which seems like a pretty you know,
- 27:38Speaker 3: straight up question. But if you're going to be handling
- 27:40Speaker 3: the appeal, So they changed judges. A brand new judge
- 27:44Speaker 3: named Michael Chitty is now in the case, and I
- 27:47Speaker 3: trust this this appeal will go well.
- 27:49Speaker 2: I dare I ask the race of Michael Chitty's He
- 27:55Speaker 2: seems to be a sixty is ish white guy.
- 27:57Speaker 3: So curious if I can stay in the court system
- 28:00Speaker 3: for two minutes, maybe we'll do more on this later.
- 28:03Speaker 3: You mentioned baby Gabriel. There's a court wrinkle in this case,
- 28:06Speaker 3: and I am going to call him Baby Gabriel. I'm
- 28:08Speaker 3: not going to give him the name given to him
- 28:11Speaker 3: by the so called parents. I called today on the
- 28:14Speaker 3: show Mike and You did. You did a You played
- 28:18Speaker 3: the Megan Kelly appearance by McKenna West and her and
- 28:22Speaker 3: her attorney back just days before she gave birth. She
- 28:25Speaker 3: has now given birth. This baby said the first of
- 28:27Speaker 3: those three surgeries. God bless him, Please guide him with
- 28:30Speaker 3: with safety and health through these and put him in
- 28:33Speaker 3: the hands of parents who deserve to have him, which
- 28:36Speaker 3: these intended parents in the surrogacy mess no longer do
- 28:40Speaker 3: they are now, as you properly covered suing McKenna the
- 28:43Speaker 3: surrogate mom who saved the baby's life, suing her for
- 28:46Speaker 3: one hundred thousand dollars for not having the abortion, she
- 28:50Speaker 3: can be named. McKenna West can be named by the
- 28:52Speaker 3: state as this baby's mother if the state simply says
- 28:57Speaker 3: we are not going to approve the surrogacy contract, which
- 29:00Speaker 3: which usually would just be a rubber stamp, but not
- 29:02Speaker 3: in this case. These people have shown their character and
- 29:05Speaker 3: I don't want them raising this child. They wanted him
- 29:07Speaker 3: dead not long ago. They have no appreciation for the
- 29:10Speaker 3: woman and the state and the attorney general who saved
- 29:12Speaker 3: the baby's life. They are too weird, too much of
- 29:16Speaker 3: a crapshoot, too dark a prospect. I must see the
- 29:20Speaker 3: State of Texas, my state, refuse to honor this surrogacy
- 29:24Speaker 3: contract and let this baby go to someone who actually
- 29:26Speaker 3: loves him.
- 29:27Speaker 2: Hey, speaking of that, and I want to just dive
- 29:30Speaker 2: and lean right in to our preborn message. Excuse me
- 29:34Speaker 2: and our reminder of preborn being a big part of
- 29:37Speaker 2: this podcast. Before we do that, though, let me remind
- 29:39Speaker 2: you about the pole at Yasmin's suggestion. We're taking a
- 29:42Speaker 2: live poll right now. Who do you think should win
- 29:45Speaker 2: in South Carolina Congressman Ralph Norman or current Senator Darlene
- 29:50Speaker 2: Graham nordone And we're going to read the results here
- 29:54Speaker 2: in about five minutes when we wrap things up for
- 29:55Speaker 2: a Thursday. So you got one more chance, just a
- 29:58Speaker 2: couple more minutes. Go up there, it's right below the
- 30:00Speaker 2: chat room. Under the live chat you'll see if you
- 30:03Speaker 2: haven't voted, you will see our poll, and we want
- 30:05Speaker 2: to see how it goes. I think I know how
- 30:07Speaker 2: I'm going to predict how it's probably gonna go, but
- 30:09Speaker 2: we're gonna find out and we'll let you know the
- 30:11Speaker 2: final total here in just about three or four minutes.
- 30:13Speaker 2: So take a moment answer the poll. Who do you
- 30:16Speaker 2: think should win the senatorial race in the state of
- 30:19Speaker 2: South Carolina, Ralph Norman or Darlene Graham nordone Take a
- 30:23Speaker 2: moment again. It's right under the live chat at YouTube
- 30:27Speaker 2: our YouTube live every single day. And we're so glad
- 30:29Speaker 2: that you're here, and so glad you're a part of this,
- 30:31Speaker 2: and we're delighted that Preborn is a part as well,
- 30:34Speaker 2: because talking about this baby Gabriel, and I'm with you, Mark,
- 30:37Speaker 2: baby Gabriel, it is. Let's talk a little bit about
- 30:40Speaker 2: what you can do with preborn. Preborn simply offers ultrasounds
- 30:44Speaker 2: to young women, to girls, to ladies who are considering
- 30:48Speaker 2: a pregnancy or terminating the president of pregnancy. Preborn gives
- 30:53Speaker 2: free ultrasounds to those girls. And know those women, Now
- 30:56Speaker 2: nothing is free. You can help. And so how many
- 31:00Speaker 2: of you have already supported preborn over the years, You
- 31:03Speaker 2: know who loved preborn. And we're going to spend a
- 31:06Speaker 2: lot of time I think on the one year anniversary
- 31:08Speaker 2: of Charlie Kirk. Charlie was a huge part of the
- 31:11Speaker 2: Preborn message. Charlie Kirk loved what they offered. One hundred
- 31:15Speaker 2: and forty dollars will give five mothers a free ultrasound
- 31:18Speaker 2: and save babies lives. Obviously, two hundred and eighty dollars
- 31:21Speaker 2: will help save ten babies. If you want to be
- 31:23Speaker 2: a recurring donor and give ultrasound machine offerings to women
- 31:29Speaker 2: so they can see their baby, so they can see
- 31:31Speaker 2: that that's a life in their body. Twenty eight dollars
- 31:34Speaker 2: a month can help save a baby every single month.
- 31:36Speaker 2: That's less than a dollar a day. And the big
- 31:39Speaker 2: Kahuna mark is all about the big donor who wants
- 31:43Speaker 2: to provide an actual machine, not just the actual ultrasound results,
- 31:49Speaker 2: but the machine itself and Mark you can get that
- 31:52Speaker 2: for the tax deductible low price of fifteen thousand dollars.
- 31:56Speaker 3: It's imagine the way you'll feel if you're the fifteen
- 31:58Speaker 3: thousand dollars donor dividing the actual ultrasound machine. Because, as
- 32:02Speaker 3: Preborn has told us, and as we now tell everybody,
- 32:05Speaker 3: when a woman sees sees what's growing. Insider they're twice
- 32:09Speaker 3: as likely to choose life. So you will be providing
- 32:12Speaker 3: that opportunity. And God bless our one hundred and forty
- 32:14Speaker 3: and two hundred and eighty and twenty eight dollars a month.
- 32:15Speaker 3: People are just helping case by case, but if you
- 32:19Speaker 3: provide the actual ultrasound machine, you can walk around knowing
- 32:23Speaker 3: every Wow. I wonder how many babies I save today
- 32:25Speaker 3: just by that fifteen thousand dollars that I gave to
- 32:28Speaker 3: preborn back on August twentieth. And the way to do
