- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: Jacksonville Jaguars fans welcome in to Duval daily presented by Gen Jack.com.
- 0:03[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Jordan Lua.
- 0:04[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks so much for tuning in here Really do a pretty safe y'all tuning in Jaguars epic Collapse in the fourth quarter against division rivals Houston Texans chance to bury the Houston Texans at 3 and 6 chance to keep pace in the AFC South Divisional race with the Indianapolis cult who snuck by
- 0:27[SPEAKER_00]: The Atlanta Falcons in Berlin in over time this morning, Jonathan Taylor, unbelievable day.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_00]: Colter 8 and 2, Jags fall to 5 and 4 up 29 to 10 at the start of the fourth quarter, 29 to 10.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_00]: At the start of the fourth quarter, they lose this one.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_00]: They get out scored by the Houston Texans, 26 to 0 in the fourth quarter.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_00]: One of the most unbelievable because jag wars, whatever you want to call it, embarrassing losses, I can remember by this franchise.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_00]: It's one thing to lose a game, 3629, you can say three and five team, right?
- 1:17[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it is what it is, right?
- 1:20[SPEAKER_00]: Team with a great defense,
- 1:24[SPEAKER_00]: some talented pieces on offense that I expected to pop off, Nico Collins Dalton Schultz, but that's not the storyline.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_00]: The storyline is not, and the actual story, not just the storyline, not just what people are talking about, but the actual story is that the Jaguars had a complete organizational failure in the fourth quarter of this football game.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_00]: They collapsed 29 to 10.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_00]: And you could be like, oh, well, you know, the jags that didn't have Travis Hunter.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_00]: They didn't have Britain's dreams.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_00]: They didn't have Jordan Lewis injuries on the offensive line were piling up a little bit.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
- 2:03[SPEAKER_00]: Didn't have Brian Thomas Jr.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_00]: Didn't have Eric Murray, Caleb Branson for the season.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_00]: That's not, that's not real.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_00]: What's real is that your Jacksonville Jaguars, fellow part,
- 2:22[SPEAKER_00]: up 29 to 10 again a chance to bury the Houston Texans a chance to be in a position to truly I mean technically the Jaguars do still control their own destiny you can't lie about that like they do they still play the cult's twice but does it feel like they have the ability to actually control what's in front of them on the schedule.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_00]: And this was a game in my opinion that was a must win, especially seeing the cults win today.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_00]: Jack's fall to five and four.
- 3:03[SPEAKER_00]: How do an opportunity to be six and three?
- 3:06[SPEAKER_00]: Fall to five and four.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_00]: It's unspeakable the way they lost.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_00]: I had so many notes from the first three quarters of this game, complimentary football, forcing turnovers, scoring off of those turnovers, doing some really good things on both sides of the ball.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_00]: Jacobi Myers stepping up and happy birthday to Jacobi Myers.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_00]: Also happy related birthday to Liam Cohen whose birthday was yesterday.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_00]: Not the way you wanted to celebrate, was it sad to say, but Jacobi Myers,
- 3:41[SPEAKER_00]: Touch down, gets taken off the board.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_00]: Ball start, dropped past right after that.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_00]: Jaguar's overcoming, Trevor Lawrence throws a great throw.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_00]: Great throw to Parker Washington in the end zone.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_00]: He somehow gets both feet down.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_00]: Guys all around him, guys trying to push him down out of bounds, great play.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
- 3:59[SPEAKER_00]: You have Ventura Miller, punch in the ball out.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_00]: You have Jarian Jones, jumping around.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_00]: You have guys getting pressure in the backfield.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_00]: You have run stops.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_00]: You have Jacobi Myers making plays.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_00]: You guys making plays all over the field.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_00]: And then it all comes crashing down.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_00]: Running the ball pretty well in the first half.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of different areas of the game that were bad.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, really, the entire fourth quarter, everything fell apart.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_00]: Like, no one played.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_00]: I shouldn't say no one played well.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_00]: We're gonna review the tape, right?
- 4:38[SPEAKER_00]: But it felt like every phase of the game failed the Jaguars in the fourth quarter pretty much.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_00]: Offence went stagnant.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_00]: Trevor Lawrence wasn't good enough at the end.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_00]: Pass protection was horrible at the end.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_00]: I thought the play calling pretty horrible at the end.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, specifically the,
- 5:04[SPEAKER_00]: And there's going to be more when we go back and review the tape, but specifically, the first play of the final drive for the Jaguars, where they have the opportunity to go up and try to get a field goal to win the game, field goal to win the game.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_00]: Route concepts where no one is getting open easily, and there's no check down, and there's no time.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_00]: What does Trevor Lawrence supposed to do on that play?
- 5:35[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm not evolving Trevor Lawrence in any way shape or form.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_00]: He could have played a lot better in this game.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_00]: Now, the final interception, I mean, whatever.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_00]: You can blame for that one if you want to.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_00]: I think more reasonable is to get on him for the in the red zone or at least close to the red zone.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_00]: The throw that ended up not costing him where Caleb Bullock could have intercepted it.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_00]: That was a great play by Caleb Bullock
- 6:02[SPEAKER_00]: Right, it's funny like the results, the actual consequences are not always like one to one with the mistakes made.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_00]: you have seven seconds left you're trying to make a play there's no one to throw the football to the offensive lines collapsing something happened like you can't take a sack you have to try to get rid of the ball and that happens I mean it is what it is whatever you've seen travel once when a lot of games at the end so the clutch part of Trevor and the end of that game to me is not the the bothersome part it's just like the complete lack of the ability to move the ball and score points and do anything on offense a lot of the second half specifically
- 6:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, there's some drops, whatever.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that they were like the major issue in this game.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_00]: There was some officiating, question marks late in the game.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the passenger appearance on Jari and Jones based on the few angles I've seen, didn't look legit.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_00]: Need to see the trim a call again.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_00]: It looked like the hands were close up there.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_00]: I need to see it again.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_00]: We're gonna review the tape a lot.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_00]: And like now's not the time to like,
- 7:12[SPEAKER_00]: really nitpick the individual little things.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_00]: It's a big picture of things.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_00]: And the big picture is your Jaguars instead of being 6 and 3, and right in the division race.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_00]: They're 5 and 4, and a good bit behind the colds.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_00]: And still, by the colds twice, they handle business when they need to handle business, down the stretch.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_00]: They'll be fine.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_00]: They're in no way shape or form out of it.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_00]: But it's just got wrenching, embarrassing, frustrating,
- 7:41[SPEAKER_00]: for Jaguars fans, for the Jaguars coaches, for the Jaguars players.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_00]: And the last point I want to make about this game, and the most disappointing part for me, right?
- 7:56[SPEAKER_00]: You have Trevor Lawrence and the offense going against the best defensive football.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_00]: So you expect there to be some difficulties, right?
- 8:04[SPEAKER_00]: That's understandable.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_00]: What is not understandable?
- 8:09[SPEAKER_00]: is the Jaguars complete lack of ability to stop the run, late in this game.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_00]: Nick Chub, average almost 10 yards per carry, Davis Mills touched down to win it.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_00]: Woody Marks running all over you on the final drive.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars have overcome a lot this year to win games, and they still won 5 games
- 8:37[SPEAKER_00]: If you told Jags fans at the beginning of the year that you'd be five and four, you'd be like, all right, let's do it.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_00]: But it's the way you get there.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_00]: And the Jag war is one calling card all year long.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_00]: Outside of the chiefs game, really.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, one game, you're going to have one back game, and a certain faster the game.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_00]: They have been one of the best run defenses in football,
- 9:05[SPEAKER_00]: Supposing running backs like yeah, quarterbacks are gonna get there as everyone's in a while, right?
- 9:09[SPEAKER_00]: But against opposing running backs, I think they were allowing 3.5 yards per carry entering this game Something in that range.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_00]: Their total is like 3.8 yards per carry 80 something yards a game on the ground and The Texans took them to the wood shed on the ground in the fourth quarter
- 9:30[SPEAKER_00]: The offensive line was moving the Jaguar's defensive line.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_00]: A banged-up Texans offensive line that isn't even good when they're healthy was moving the Jaguar's defensive line off the ball in the run game.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_00]: That's what cannot happen.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_00]: Because you know the Jaguars do not have great coverage units on defense.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_00]: You know, Buster Brown is a good player in a specific role somewhat limited.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_00]: You know, Greg Newsom is a pretty good player.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_00]: You know, your safety's aren't very good in coverage.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_00]: You know, your linebackers, linebackers, excuse me, can be beaten coverage.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_00]: You know, you don't have a great pass rush right now.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_00]: You know that you're opposing offense.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_00]: Can potentially move the ball through the air, particularly if they have players like Nico Collins, who is in a lead-wide receiver.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_00]: And Dalton Shelt, Shelt, who is a good tight-end.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_00]: You know that, you know, your offensive line isn't very good against rate defensive lines.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_00]: All of these things are known quantities.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_00]: Not stopping the run is unacceptable.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_00]: It's unacceptable.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_00]: You've got to be able to stop the run.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_00]: And they didn't do it.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_00]: They gave up over 130 yards on the ground, or maybe it was exactly 130.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_00]: And
- 10:48[SPEAKER_00]: It was the running late that killed them in my opinion by the Houston Texans.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_00]: Among other things, yes, there's other issues.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_00]: We know that, but we knew about those issues coming into the game.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_00]: You cannot, this Jack Wars team cannot win if they cannot stop the run against most teams.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_00]: That's just going to be the way it is.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_00]: Was there a questionable officiating, yes?
- 11:09[SPEAKER_00]: Was there poor play calling, yes, on both sides?
- 11:12[SPEAKER_00]: Was there,
- 11:14[SPEAKER_00]: Um, you know, missed opportunities by the quarterback, by receivers, by runners, by offensive linemen, by corners, by safety, by linebackers, by pass rushers, yes, but not being able to stop the run for this Jaguar's team.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_00]: is usually going to do you in.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_00]: That's going to do it.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to have a lot more individual performances to talk about.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to talk about more big picture things.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to talk about more micro things as well.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to dive into this game over the next couple of days.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_00]: But the jackwars, they need to watch the tape.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_00]: They need to try to clean things up.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_00]: They need to put this one out of their mind because they've got a big
- 12:02[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to feel like all is right in the world once again for the most part.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_00]: And the thing is, the jackboards are still in the wildcard, not in the hunt.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_00]: On the graphic, they're not in the hunt.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_00]: They're in the wildcard spot.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_00]: So, they've got everything in front of them.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_00]: But this is one of the most embarrassing franchise losses.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_00]: And most embarrassing losses in franchise history, point blank period, end of story.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_00]: Really appreciate y'all tuning in support in the channel.
