Zakyia Weathersby, UAB’s former basketball superstar and All-Conference USA honoree, is back on campus—not as a player, but as an assistant coach. After dominating the court with nearly 15 points and 11 rebounds per game during her senior season and playing professionally overseas for four seasons, she’s now bringing her toughness, leadership, and coaching experience to the Blazers’ bench.
