- 0:56When God calls, we say yes.
- 1:01Hello, and welcome to another episode of the Arise Women of God podcast.
- 1:06I'm your host, Tamara K.
- 1:07Anderson, and today I'm so thrilled to be joined by a mother, an educator, and a community influencer, Lamyra Wheelwright, to unpack this critical diagnostic skill.
- 1:20What are the signs of spiritual warfare?
- 1:23As mothers, we don't want to see a shadow behind every corner, but we cannot afford to remain blind to the enemy's footprints.
- 1:32To give you sharp, undeniable discernment inside your own household, we are mapping out three vital zones today.
- 1:40First is the tipping scale and the countenance shift.
- 1:45How to identify the exact boundary line where normal stresses cross over into an adversarial attack.
- 1:53Number two, the relational micro pokes, decoding the subtle symptoms of warfare, from isolation to constant bickering to chronic doom scrolling and avoidant behavior.
- 2:06And number three, the spiritual amnesia trap, the number one indicator that a spiritual attack has been successful when chaos covertly blocks you or your children from getting on your knees.
- 2:19But first, let's kick it off with this powerful verse which warns us that the adversary relies entirely on operating in secret.
- 2:29In 2 Corinthians, chapter 2, verse 11, we are reminded of the mandate to be vigilant.
- 2:36Listen to this.
- 2:36Lest Satan should get an advantage of us, for we are not ignorant of his devices.
- 2:43Ah, sisters, we know the adversary is there.
- 2:46We are not ignorant of his devices, as this verse says.
- 2:51And we need to invite God in and ask him to help us notice his attacks and be vigilant.
- 2:58As the operational guardians of our homes, God has given us a specialized maternal intuition to sense when something is a little bit off.
- 3:08Lamyra is now going to share that as mothers, we are built to function as the literal spiritual thermostat in our homes.
- 3:17feellikeasa momwe're likethethermostat, wecankindof gaugewhat's going on.It'skindofweird.We cankind ofhave thebig picture ofourhome.AndIknowforme recentlyI was wonderingthat andIfeel likethere'slike alittletippingscalethatwegofromstressandthensuddenlysomething happensand itjust tipsandsuddenlywe feellikewe'reinallout spiritualwarfare.Itlike,whoa.AndsometimesIreallythinkit'sthatthis isnotgoingtogoaway.Stressgoesupanddown, itfluctuates becauselifetimesandseasons, Imean literallymonthsoftheyear, youknow, dependingonwhat'sgoingon, ourkidsandtheirages, itjustchanges.

- 6:18wecan'talwaysputourfingeronit,youknow,andsaythat's whatitis.So that's thefirstsign.
- 6:23When A child's countenance drops.
- 6:25You can kind of feel the spiritual weather in your home shift.
- 6:28But the enemy doesn't stop with one individual.
- 6:31He leverages that internal heaviness to puncture the harmony between family members.
- 6:38Watch how Elamira identifies the specific relational indicators of warfare.
- 6:45The second one is I look at the relationships and what's happening in how they're treating each other or whether it's friends, family or me, you know, interaction there.
- 6:57Is there a lot of tension?
- 6:59Is there a lot of like I'm going to stepping, walking on eggshells or we're critical of each other.
- 7:04Am I hearing a lot of parenting of each other?
- 7:09Am I critical of my kids?
- 7:10Am I critical of myself?
- 7:12A lot of tattling and I, I have kids ranging from 11 to their 20s and I still get tattling and I'm like, so is that happening?
- 7:24And is there just this constant bickering, bickering where we're just picking, picking, picking, picking, picking.
- 7:30Or it might be on the other side of relationships.
- 7:33Are they avoiding social situation?
- 7:36Are they avoiding topics?
- 7:39Or is it just kind of that edgy?
- 7:42Just bite back real quick.
- 7:43Somebody asked me a question and I'm biting back.
- 7:46So that's another sign of spiritual warfare.
- 7:49So first is the self seconds relationships.
- 7:51And the third one is, I call it like the outside world with the spare time.
- 7:55Is it that they are doing a lot of.
- 7:57Or me in particular, avoidant behavior?
- 8:00Are we procrastinating?
- 8:02Are we doom scrolling?
- 8:04Are we constantly on for my kids as we get on YouTube shorts and we're just on the computer or the TV, is it we're not doing the tasks, we're not being creative anymore, we're not practicing our music, we're
- 8:20not reading, we're not outside.
- 8:23So what, what am I doing?
- 8:24So I've got to look at that.
- 8:27Oh, I love that so much.
- 8:28It's, it's it's those internal thoughts.
- 8:31What am I thinking and what am I saying about myself?
- 8:34And it is, how are we connecting with the rest of the world and obviously with God?
- 8:40You know, are we isolating?
- 8:42And that those are the ripples of the adversary attacking and kind of those extreme emotions that something is off.
- 8:50And I've seen it in my kids as well.
- 8:52So, yeah, you're spot on.
- 8:54Those are exactly the signs.
- 8:56Something's off, then it's off.
- 8:58Right?
- 8:58The avoidant behavior is a massive spiritual defense defense mechanism.
- 9:04It creates kind of a layer of thick static designed to paralyze your household habits.
- 9:10Listen, as Lamyra exposes the absolute final crowning sign of an ambush, the strategic disruption of your connection with the Lord.
- 9:21The number one thing too is, is it keeping me from God and doing the things that I would normally do?
- 9:29Am I not getting on my knees?
- 9:30Am I not asking for help?
- 9:32Am I not making time for our family devotional?
- 9:35You know, those kind of things that normally I would do or it's too hard to go to church, you know, any of those things that forget to acknowledge him in all things because I'm avoiding it.
- 9:49Or I was like, I know what he's going to say to me, you.
- 9:51Know, the moment you realize the sudden heaviness, the bickering and the avoidance are not just behavioral flaws, but actual devices of the adversary, you can stop fighting your family and start fighting for them.
- 10:06If your motherly intuition tells you something is off in your home or in one of your kids, it is off and God has fully equipped you to do something about it.
- 10:17To help you systematically run a diagnostic check over your home's current atmosphere and learn how to closed opened spiritual warfare doors.

- 11:00Place protective shielding prayers over your children's rooms to lock the enemy out of your perimeter.
