- 1:01Speaker 5: This is what I've been waiting for this morning. Just
- 1:03Speaker 5: guess what we're getting right now. We're getting to raise
- 1:06Speaker 5: a report. We got our mister brand new daddy as well.
- 1:12Speaker 4: Why I didn't like that at all?
- 1:15Speaker 5: What's what a child calls? Well, we got Taylor Sharp
- 1:20Speaker 5: here at Marler to talk about Razor. What's up, buddy,
- 1:23Speaker 5: how you doing?
- 1:24Speaker 6: Hey, what's going on? Guys?
- 1:25Speaker 1: Matt?
- 1:25Speaker 6: You can call me daddy. Plenty of people do. It's
- 1:27Speaker 6: a big deal. One more person.
- 1:30Speaker 5: Out of the gates, straight out of the day. It's Taylor.
- 1:34Speaker 5: I just want to say first on behalf of Team
- 1:36Speaker 5: O TV. Congratulations. I know we've told you that and
- 1:39Speaker 5: and private, but congratulations buddy. We miss you around here,
- 1:44Speaker 5: but all for good reason. So you know I'm getting
- 1:48Speaker 5: out and getting a little stir crazy.
- 1:49Speaker 7: I think I've actually left the house every single day
- 1:51Speaker 7: since we got home from the hospital. So you know,
- 1:54Speaker 7: it's it's one of those things that dude, I was
- 1:57Speaker 7: telling you guys on Monday evening, when I've found out
- 2:00Speaker 7: that I was going to be out, it moved quick, man.
- 2:03Speaker 7: I mean, I think we had a doctor's boyman. Eleven
- 2:06Speaker 7: thirty Monday, she came home, I went back to work.
- 2:10Speaker 7: She called me about two o'clock, was like, hey, I
- 2:12Speaker 7: think there's some contractions about forty seconds of each, you know,
- 2:15Speaker 7: about like three and a half minutes apart.
- 2:16Speaker 6: I'm like, okay, I'm on the way home.
- 2:18Speaker 7: And then about four thirty we decided, hey, we need
- 2:21Speaker 7: to go ahead, and we need to go ahead and
- 2:22Speaker 7: go to the hospital. Checked into our room maybe six
- 2:27Speaker 7: thirty seven o'clock, and then she got her epidural at
- 2:32Speaker 7: ten water broke about one thirty baby at.
- 2:35Speaker 6: Three thirty two today morning. I mean, it was it
- 2:37Speaker 6: was quick.
- 2:37Speaker 4: That's awesome day, and I'm glad we could talk about
- 2:39Speaker 4: all how this affected you. Where's the baby?
- 2:43Speaker 7: The baby is actually currently inside. I'm outside because.
- 2:47Speaker 3: This time called you to scene Razor.
- 2:58Speaker 5: We gotta get to get the video can nected, so
- 3:01Speaker 5: yours can't. Will what button doesn't?
- 3:03Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 3:04Speaker 4: I don't love this.
- 3:05Speaker 8: Yeah, just fix Chris came right now, Just get me off.
- 3:11Speaker 6: You guys.
- 3:12Speaker 5: All right, looks good, looks great.
- 3:15Speaker 4: Is he walking already? That's a dog idiot? Oh exactly,
- 3:22Speaker 4: fake hour, Oh.
- 3:26Speaker 5: Little little nugget.
- 3:28Speaker 4: Oh my god, bull head of hair.
- 3:32Speaker 6: Yeah, he's doing great, he's doing great. He came out.
- 3:35Speaker 7: The doctors literal words were, oh, guys, see the head.
- 3:38Speaker 7: I could brave the hair if you want me to.
- 3:40Speaker 4: It was camera.
- 3:42Speaker 6: It's quite the sight.
- 3:43Speaker 3: I don't have like a full head of.
- 3:45Speaker 5: What you helped make that. That is a beautiful baby.
- 3:51Speaker 7: When I saw that the baby was as cute as
- 3:53Speaker 7: it wasn't like you know, am I am?
- 3:55Speaker 6: I really the data of this. But it turns out
- 3:57Speaker 6: I am.
- 3:57Speaker 5: So that's awesome. So let me ask you this. So
- 4:01Speaker 5: just as Mike riddles, okay, all right, uh, Hester and
- 4:06Speaker 5: I kind of told the stories of when we left
- 4:07Speaker 5: the hospital for the first time with the child, how
- 4:10Speaker 5: is your experiensit that the nurse takes them out there
- 4:12Speaker 5: and put you in that car and closes it behind you.
- 4:15Speaker 5: How was that feeling just knowing it was y'all and
- 4:19Speaker 5: the baby and there was nobody.
- 4:20Speaker 7: It was I mean, the process of it, it was insane.
- 4:24Speaker 7: Like they came in his water brewer and the nurses
- 4:29Speaker 7: were saying, hey, you know, we want you to do
- 4:32Speaker 7: some practice pushes to go ahead, and they were like,
- 4:34Speaker 7: actually stop watching babies.
- 4:36Speaker 6: Almost here, doctors fifteen minutes out.
- 4:38Speaker 7: We don't want to we don't want to have to
- 4:40Speaker 7: deliver this baby on our own. And then she was like, okay,
- 4:43Speaker 7: doctors here, like let's get ready to go. And at
- 4:45Speaker 7: that point, like you know, life were still a little
- 4:47Speaker 7: bit dim in the room, like the nerve factory stuff
- 4:50Speaker 7: a lot like for me, like I always told people
- 4:52Speaker 7: like Victoria had a much worse visible time. I think
- 4:55Speaker 7: emotionally I had the worst time out of the two
- 4:58Speaker 7: of us.
- 4:59Speaker 4: Yuh believable.
- 5:00Speaker 6: He was not able to handle it. But we made
- 5:01Speaker 6: it have in the delivery room as well.
- 5:05Speaker 5: Uh so we got a little bit of we heard everything.
- 5:09Speaker 3: Yeah, we already saw razor.
- 5:12Speaker 8: Can you call call us it sounds kind of bad.
- 5:15Speaker 4: Yeah, it's not razors fault.
- 5:18Speaker 5: Cheers.
- 5:19Speaker 3: Oh, and now he's frozen.
- 5:22Speaker 6: Let's give let's get you guys.
- 5:24Speaker 7: But I have I had the chance to actually officially
- 5:28Speaker 7: change the name, uh Razor, because they told the name
- 5:32Speaker 7: wrong on the bar certificate.
- 5:34Speaker 6: I had to go.
- 5:34Speaker 7: Back to the hospital the next morning by myself get
- 5:38Speaker 7: everything changed before they send it off to Social Security.
- 5:41Speaker 6: So the power was in my hands.
- 5:43Speaker 7: But I didn't want to have marital issues on top
- 5:47Speaker 7: of having the baby, so I kept the name the same.
- 5:49Speaker 5: You have the chance.
- 5:50Speaker 4: They put the apostrophe in, so it.
- 5:53Speaker 7: Was so it's his name's Griffin g r I f
- 5:56Speaker 7: f I M. They put g r I f f
- 5:58Speaker 7: O in. So my guys name is gonna be I
- 6:02Speaker 7: like Moon, Yeah, like Moon gryffon exactly.
- 6:08Speaker 3: Can we do a normal phone call?
- 6:09Speaker 5: Yeah, we're gonna call you BLI.
- 6:11Speaker 6: It sounds yeah, that's fine.
- 6:13Speaker 4: You look great.
- 6:15Speaker 5: He's absolutely glowing.
- 6:17Speaker 4: He said he had to leave by himself, by himself.
- 6:19Speaker 4: He had to go there by himself. Else did we
- 6:22Speaker 4: find out how Victoria is doing?
- 6:24Speaker 5: There's like once, Well, we hadn't got to that question.
- 6:30Speaker 5: His phone is cut out.
- 6:33Speaker 4: I'm getting texts on the text line. Do we have
- 6:35Speaker 4: a One of my neighbors is asking right now? Uh.
- 6:38Speaker 4: Nick Baldwin, great proctologist. He said this baby's name is Razor.
- 6:44Speaker 4: That's not good. Yes, yeah, that is the only answer.
- 6:47Speaker 5: Yeah, the answer is yes. Sometimes what you what somebody
- 6:51Speaker 5: goes by is not what's on the birth certificate.
- 6:53Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 6:53Speaker 5: I do like Gryffon though. Yeah, I don't know why
- 6:56Speaker 5: you changed that.
- 6:56Speaker 4: I mean that sounds kind of like guest On from
- 6:58Speaker 4: Beating the Beast.
- 6:59Speaker 9: Not a great We're so back, we got your hare.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Yeah, i'man here, guys.
- 7:04Speaker 4: Oh that's much better.
- 7:05Speaker 2: Great, Sorry about that. I guess I guess out in LP,
- 7:07Speaker 2: we haven't invented internet yet. Maybe it was the most funny,
- 7:10Speaker 2: you guys.
- 7:11Speaker 5: It got a little confused because you went from the
- 7:12Speaker 5: outside to the inside. Yeah, internet got a little confused.
- 7:17Speaker 2: I'm sure it's fine, but it was it was a
- 7:19Speaker 2: it was a it was a process, man. I mean,
- 7:21Speaker 2: it was as one of those pizza a woman's hospital.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Anyone that has to go the pizza in the cafeteria, phenomenal.
- 7:26Speaker 6: Biggest takeaway I we.
- 7:28Speaker 4: Do you need a segment on just your food takes
- 7:30Speaker 4: most of them.
- 7:31Speaker 2: So every well, so here's the thing everyone told about
- 7:33Speaker 2: the burger. Okay, the burger. Everyone was like, oh, you
- 7:36Speaker 2: gotta go get the burger. It's a it's our famous burger, Michael,
- 7:39Speaker 2: It's not too famous. I've never heard of it. We
- 7:42Speaker 2: go down there, we get the burger six.
- 7:45Speaker 5: Out of ten.
- 7:45Speaker 2: Fine, pizza, pizza was eight out of ten. Man pizza
- 7:48Speaker 2: was pizza was.
- 7:49Speaker 4: Salt host little foods really underrated.
- 7:51Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't at all.
- 7:53Speaker 2: Well, everything for her was free. I had to pay
- 7:55Speaker 2: for mine, but like, dude, I think I had lunch
- 7:59Speaker 2: and dinner for me. I think eighteen dollars total for
- 8:02Speaker 2: the two.
- 8:02Speaker 4: Yeah about get free?
- 8:06Speaker 8: How is your wife paring baby for ten months?
- 8:11Speaker 3: Gave birth to the child. And Taylor's like, I'd pay eighteens.
- 8:15Speaker 2: No, I'm saying, like eighteen dollars is good, Like I
- 8:17Speaker 2: don't have to pay that much. That was pretty much.
- 8:19Speaker 2: And dinner.
- 8:19Speaker 4: I was like, we didn't know you were rich.
- 8:23Speaker 2: I was like, well, you know. Victoria was like, oh,
- 8:25Speaker 2: I could just order some sides and you can eat
- 8:27Speaker 2: it too. And I'm like, Victoria, I'm an honest man.
- 8:30Speaker 2: I'm gonna go down there. I'm gonna buy my own dinner.
- 8:31Speaker 2: No big deal.
- 8:32Speaker 4: You wouldn't buy her dinner.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Hers is free?
- 8:36Speaker 4: Okay, what he would have though? I missed that you
- 8:38Speaker 4: made this something about you, Taylor.
- 8:40Speaker 2: I mean I'm the one talking about it.
- 8:43Speaker 5: So how is how is mama good?
- 8:45Speaker 2: Victoria's doing great? You know she dude, she handled her
- 8:49Speaker 2: like a champ like. I mean, like she was telling me,
- 8:53Speaker 2: I don't know if her epidural worked too much. She's like,
- 8:55Speaker 2: tell her, I can't feel anything, so I don't know
- 8:57Speaker 2: how hard I'm supposed to push. But then she was awesome.
- 9:00Speaker 7: I mean it.
- 9:01Speaker 2: I couldn't have done it. I always tell people like,
- 9:02Speaker 2: good thing, I'm not the woman and we wouldn't be
- 9:04Speaker 2: having any children.
- 9:05Speaker 7: But she was.
- 9:06Speaker 2: She was grave.
- 9:07Speaker 4: Man.
- 9:07Speaker 2: I mean it's like, you know, you think you love someone,
- 9:11Speaker 2: then you see them give birth and you're like, you
- 9:12Speaker 2: love them even bore.
- 9:13Speaker 8: I mean she was Wait, that was actually really nice.
- 9:19Speaker 5: That's very well put because that's a that's a real
- 9:21Speaker 5: feeling and to see what whenen go through during that
- 9:25Speaker 5: process it does it's a you look at them in
- 9:27Speaker 5: a different light, and it's a.
- 9:28Speaker 2: Very good one. She was awesome. I was like, I
- 9:31Speaker 2: could not have done this. I hate that you're going through,
- 9:36Speaker 2: but I'm gla.
- 9:37Speaker 5: She was giving were you like, were you behind her?
- 9:40Speaker 5: Like whispering to her, come on? You were the baker
- 9:42Speaker 5: Mayfield had given birth.
- 9:44Speaker 2: No, No, I didn't do that because he kind of
- 9:46Speaker 2: he kind of plumbed down the stretch last year. We
- 9:48Speaker 2: didn't really want to. Unfortunately were born by her legs,
- 9:56Speaker 2: So I was I was kind of hip hip height.
- 9:59Speaker 2: And here's the thing I told you guys. I was like,
- 10:02Speaker 2: we're staying we're staying chest up. Yeah, we're gonna sit,
- 10:05Speaker 2: they're gonna talk. I watched the whole thing.
- 10:08Speaker 6: All right, good for you, yeah, yeah, But honestly, like.
- 10:12Speaker 2: I didn't have anything to do because they were like,
- 10:14Speaker 2: we're bringing in nine nurses. We want you to stand
- 10:17Speaker 2: there and like I'm gonna stay there and look like
- 10:18Speaker 2: an idiot, into your eyes just naturally go to where
- 10:21Speaker 2: everybody else is looking. So I just went out of
- 10:22Speaker 2: that happening like that, all.
- 10:24Speaker 5: Right, awesome looking grasp, But that's that's incredible. We're very
- 10:28Speaker 5: happy for you. I'm sure our listeners are very happy
- 10:30Speaker 5: for you. We uh we saw you for a little
- 10:32Speaker 5: bit on video and you were glowing.
- 10:34Speaker 2: You were Yeah, I got that. I got the fatherly glow.
- 10:36Speaker 5: You know.
- 10:36Speaker 2: Well, we're already working dad Bond, Like we're way ahead
- 10:40Speaker 2: of the curve. On now one, So like, we're we're
- 10:42Speaker 2: gonna be in full swing both tell me get back.
- 10:43Speaker 5: What about dad jokes?
- 10:45Speaker 2: Oh yeah, we had some of those in the chamber before. Yeah,
- 10:48Speaker 2: but we got a book on the way of dad jokes.
- 10:51Speaker 2: So we're we're gonna be We're gonna be on top.
- 10:52Speaker 5: Of that as well. All right, so I can just
- 10:54Speaker 5: we we've been talking about it here, like we can
- 10:56Speaker 5: just imagine you being at the house, uh and just
- 10:59Speaker 5: like red Face like ready to explode with some sort
- 11:03Speaker 5: of take. We're gonna give you the college whatever.
- 11:08Speaker 2: I never watched the national sports shows on TV, right
- 11:11Speaker 2: because they're just a bunch of talking kids, like whatever,
- 11:12Speaker 2: here's what they say. But I don't have anything else
- 11:15Speaker 2: to turn on when it's like mid day, you know.
- 11:18Speaker 2: So like this morning I woke up, it was like
- 11:20Speaker 2: six am. Get Up was on. So I was like,
- 11:23Speaker 2: all right, we're gonna turn Get Up for the first
- 11:25Speaker 2: time in like six years.
- 11:27Speaker 4: Uh.
- 11:27Speaker 2: We kick that on, and then Victoria comes and turns
- 11:29Speaker 2: it off, and I'm like I can't get mad about
- 11:30Speaker 2: it toning it off, you know. But at the same time,
- 11:32Speaker 2: I'm like, Victoria, this is all I have. So it's
- 11:35Speaker 2: been it's been a struggle.
- 11:36Speaker 5: This is all I have. You didn't want to listen
- 11:39Speaker 5: to Canty?
- 11:41Speaker 2: No, No, I didn't want to listen to Canty. You
- 11:43Speaker 2: know I didn't. I don't want to get in the
- 11:44Speaker 2: truck drive around care about how Jalen Hurts is incredibly
- 11:47Speaker 2: disrespected across all the NFL servers. Just I was gonna
- 11:49Speaker 2: pass on that.
- 11:50Speaker 5: So let me ask you this all right, I thought
- 11:52Speaker 5: about you yesterday because NFL teams have all reported they
- 11:57Speaker 5: have officially started training camp around the NFL no deal
- 12:02Speaker 5: long term deal for Baker Mayfield in Tampa. Since you
- 12:05Speaker 5: are a fake Tampa fan but a real Baker fan,
- 12:10Speaker 5: he is betting on himself. So what are your thoughts
- 12:13Speaker 5: on them not signing him to long term contract and
- 12:16Speaker 5: him just saying you know what we've reported now, yeah,
- 12:19Speaker 5: no more talks.
- 12:20Speaker 2: I mean it makes sense for him, like focused on
- 12:22Speaker 2: the season. He's bet on himself his whole career. My
- 12:25Speaker 2: issue more is like if you go look at Tampa's roster,
- 12:29Speaker 2: who are you paid? Because now Vitevel wants a new contract.
- 12:32Speaker 2: He's city he's gonna sit in so he doesn't get fined.
- 12:35Speaker 2: But he hasn't been practicing. You're not gonna pay your
- 12:38Speaker 2: what you hope is your franchise quarterback Mike Evans is
- 12:40Speaker 2: out of the building. You don't have that contract, Like
- 12:42Speaker 2: you're paying Antoine Winfield top safety money, but outside of that,
- 12:47Speaker 2: you're kind of bargain been shopping for a while, Like
- 12:49Speaker 2: Tampa's got a lot of money on the books and
- 12:51Speaker 2: they're not paying any one, don't. I don't really get
- 12:53Speaker 2: it from their perspective. It's one of those things always
- 12:55Speaker 2: look at and I say, be careful what you wish for,
- 12:58Speaker 2: because look, you're gonna let this guy walk out of
- 13:00Speaker 2: the room. Who are you gonna bring into replacements? Like,
- 13:02Speaker 2: say what you want about Baker Mayfield. He's been there
- 13:04Speaker 2: two years or three years, they won the division three
- 13:07Speaker 2: two times, probably should have won it last year. It's
- 13:09Speaker 2: dot all the injuries, So I don't really know what
- 13:12Speaker 2: they're waiting for, Like what else they want to see?
- 13:14Speaker 2: Like two years ago Baker went out there through forty
- 13:16Speaker 2: touchdown passes, Like if that wasn't enough for you, what
- 13:19Speaker 2: do you want to see from him this year? That
- 13:20Speaker 2: is going to be enough? Just it's kind of confusing
- 13:22Speaker 2: to him there.
- 13:23Speaker 4: Then they they resign worth yet.
- 13:26Speaker 2: No, like they do, like they pay, like they're paying
- 13:29Speaker 2: like two people. They're paying Tristan wurs at Antwine Winfield,
- 13:32Speaker 2: that's it. Like they're not paying Evans. I mean, you're
- 13:34Speaker 2: paying Chris Godwin a little bit, but who cares. He
- 13:36Speaker 2: never plays anyways.
- 13:37Speaker 5: So I mean, I don't really understand the Saints sneak
- 13:41Speaker 5: up on him, aren't they?
- 13:42Speaker 6: Dude?
- 13:43Speaker 2: The Saints are gonna pass them. I mean I don't.
- 13:44Speaker 2: I don't think they're sneaking up on anybody at this point.
- 13:46Speaker 6: I mean, oh boy, yeah, I agree with you, buddy.
- 13:51Speaker 5: Okay, so new Father sounds like you're well on your
- 13:55Speaker 5: way to Father of the Year. When are we gonna
- 13:59Speaker 5: see your face around here?
- 14:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll be back tuesday. I will be back tuesday.
- 14:03Speaker 4: All right, Well that's time off.
- 14:06Speaker 2: Well look, yeah, what Paul O'Neil. They gave him two
- 14:09Speaker 2: weeks twice, and I was like, look, Faull gets two weeks,
- 14:11Speaker 2: like gets two weeks, and so it works around here.
- 14:13Speaker 2: So we're getting to we're getting two wee we're getting
- 14:16Speaker 2: the full two weekend.
- 14:17Speaker 5: I know.
- 14:17Speaker 2: Jake was like Tyler, we had Harlow and I was
- 14:20Speaker 2: back the next day and like Jake, I understand that
- 14:21Speaker 2: was getting them for five man, it is first, it's
- 14:24Speaker 2: new for us. Everything the baby does still terrifies us.
- 14:26Speaker 2: So I need an adjust here.
- 14:28Speaker 5: I'm sure, Bra said, and Paul and Cassie they're going
- 14:31Speaker 5: to be fired up to have you, for sure.
- 14:34Speaker 2: I'm all fired up to be back. Yeah, you know,
- 14:35Speaker 2: I'm he doesn't know this. I'm one of those people that, uh,
- 14:39Speaker 2: I don't, I don't. I don't do good sitting still.
- 14:41Speaker 2: I don't like to be boring. I'm getting a little
- 14:43Speaker 2: stir crazy.
- 14:43Speaker 8: Up in here.
- 14:44Speaker 5: How many times have you cut the lawn since you've
- 14:45Speaker 5: been there?
- 14:47Speaker 2: Actually? Actually not in Lonzo was dead right now. But
- 14:49Speaker 2: I think today is gonna be the day.
- 14:51Speaker 5: Today we're going to die.
- 14:52Speaker 4: Yeah, get out of the house.
- 14:54Speaker 2: Has it hasn't rained. I'm not going to be the
- 14:56Speaker 2: loser in the front yard air rating his lawn and
- 14:59Speaker 2: watering it.
- 14:59Speaker 6: Who does.
- 15:01Speaker 8: People who care about their lawns about the baby tailor inside?
- 15:05Speaker 5: You just call people losers who water their grass.
- 15:09Speaker 2: Stand out there with the water if I'm ever that.
- 15:14Speaker 3: Okay, have you ever heard of the sprinkler?
- 15:16Speaker 5: Not expensive?
- 15:18Speaker 2: God, I don't have a sprinkler.
- 15:19Speaker 3: We're not doing that.
- 15:20Speaker 5: They cost the same as your meal.
- 15:23Speaker 2: Okay, so here's the same man. I do like cutting grass,
- 15:26Speaker 2: but also it's very hot, so like if the grass
- 15:29Speaker 2: happens to die, I cut it, don't have to cut
- 15:31Speaker 2: it for a while. Not the worst thing in the world.
- 15:33Speaker 5: Oh boy, Yeah, I guess that's your point. But you're
- 15:37Speaker 5: right a line, dre Like we've said it ever since.
- 15:39Speaker 5: He didn't know what type of grass you had.
- 15:43Speaker 3: He doesn't know.
- 15:45Speaker 4: Three, I don't, I don't know.
- 15:47Speaker 2: I mean, it's the green kind.
- 15:48Speaker 5: It's the green. It's not blue grass on the gun
- 15:53Speaker 5: like brown grass. Yeah, hoop grass. All right, dad, we
- 15:58Speaker 5: appreciate you. We god. You got a beautiful baby over there,
- 16:01Speaker 5: appreciate you sharing with us. You'll take care of him,
- 16:07Speaker 5: and we were excited to get you back here next week.
- 16:10Speaker 5: But enjoy your time and take care of Victoria, take
- 16:12Speaker 5: care of the fam, and we'll see you next week. Buddy.
- 16:18Speaker 5: All right, there he is, Remember with a wolf pet
- 16:22Speaker 5: oh Gryffon Gryffon Razor Sharpe.
- 16:29Speaker 4: You imagine how I would I would have lost my mind.
- 16:32Speaker 4: They're like, so sorry, we spelled the name wrong. You're
- 16:35Speaker 4: gonna have to come back up here, like day one
- 16:38Speaker 4: into fatherhood.
- 16:38Speaker 3: I had a lesser extent.
- 16:39Speaker 8: They did that to my sister really like her name
- 16:42Speaker 8: is Sophia, and my mom wanted to do it with
- 16:44Speaker 8: the f they did pH instead.
- 16:46Speaker 3: Well it's not that big of a deal.
- 16:48Speaker 4: But I didn't have a name for the first week.
- 16:50Speaker 4: Apparently my mom said she couldn't figure it out. It
- 16:52Speaker 4: was like baby boy Marlar, I think, which is still
- 16:55Speaker 4: what I go by in the streets, which is nice.
- 16:57Speaker 5: But like the day after, Yeah, you have to go
- 17:01Speaker 5: to a federal age, federal building.
- 17:06Speaker 4: I would say, you're gonna have to come back in here.
- 17:08Speaker 5: Get it is the first baby, but in fair enough,
- 17:11Speaker 5: I'll know for next time. You do, like have the
- 17:13Speaker 5: opportunity to check the spelling.
- 17:15Speaker 4: Well, he was down in the basement getting some food,
- 17:17Speaker 4: so it's like, I mean, what do you want to
- 17:19Speaker 4: be in charge of.
- 17:21Speaker 5: Something? Anyway, It's good to talk to our guy. We
- 17:27Speaker 5: will he'll be back next week. With lots of takes,
- 17:30Speaker 5: so many, so many, it's right, all right, stick with us.

- 17:46Speaker 5: we'll stick with us. We'll try to reach Marler's word
- 17:48Speaker 5: count for the day right here and off the bench.

- 20:26Speaker 5: dot Com. All right, so we all NFL teams have
- 20:29Speaker 5: reported a training camp. We are a week away from
- 20:31Speaker 5: LSU reported to training camp. So what better time to
- 20:34Speaker 5: talk about baseball than right now. It kind of caught
- 20:38Speaker 5: my eye yesterday. We've kind of we've talked about it
- 20:40Speaker 5: and given updates throughout the summer about how well some
- 20:45Speaker 5: of our LSU guys have been doing in the big
- 20:47Speaker 5: leagues at at so early we talked about Kate Anderson.
- 20:51Speaker 5: So just give a little update on some awesome things
- 20:55Speaker 5: that our former Tigers are doing right now. Talk about
- 20:58Speaker 5: Tommy Tanks right now, I believe he had four hits
- 21:01Speaker 5: again yesterday, Oh my god, he did. Yeah, so he's
- 21:04Speaker 5: batting so right now he's got thirty nine total Big
- 21:06Speaker 5: League of bats, he's got fourteen, so he's betten three
- 21:09Speaker 5: fifty nine with an on base percentage of three to
- 21:11Speaker 5: ninety and only struck out three times right there. So
- 21:16Speaker 5: yesterday he went four for four against the Red Sox.
- 21:19Speaker 5: So like he is, He's obviously got brought up for
- 21:22Speaker 5: a reason because he's been consistently playing well but probably
- 21:25Speaker 5: also playing pretty hot as well, so and that has
- 21:27Speaker 5: certainly continued. I mean, so what a start to Tommy
- 21:30Speaker 5: tanks career when he's got call ups. So wish him
- 21:32Speaker 5: nothing but the success and hopefully that. I mean, I
- 21:34Speaker 5: know it's it's it's their long seasons, and I know
- 21:36Speaker 5: it's tough to like stay hot, but he's certainly done that.
- 21:40Speaker 4: So sometimes though, I mean, I mean, I hate to
- 21:43Speaker 4: bring up the one person I feel like me and
- 21:45Speaker 4: hes Roy so up Frank courted that out of the gates.
- 21:47Speaker 4: They leveled off, Like Tommy's a much better hitter than Jeff.
- 21:50Speaker 5: Yeah, so I mean three fifty nine and like again,
- 21:53Speaker 5: like if you start out for a couple of games,
- 21:54Speaker 5: you can have like a third like that in average bed.
- 21:56Speaker 4: Now, I mean he's got thirty nine.
- 21:58Speaker 5: He's got thirty nine at bats far, so.
- 22:00Speaker 4: Your boy gauge jump. Yeah, he shoved last night and
- 22:03Speaker 4: it sucks six innings only give three hits.
- 22:06Speaker 5: Very good. I've heard his name a lot, yeah, recently,
- 22:09Speaker 5: so so I know he's pitching well, Anthony, iinsen. Yeah,
- 22:13Speaker 5: I think last out, it was two or three days ago,
- 22:16Speaker 5: lowered his ERA to one point one to three across
- 22:19Speaker 5: two levels. Uh, he's four. He's got a four to
- 22:22Speaker 5: h win loss record, one point one three e ra A,
- 22:25Speaker 5: and that's sixty three point two innings pitched with eighty
- 22:28Speaker 5: four strikeouts, and I think that's single A and double A.
- 22:33Speaker 8: Believe between him and Kate Anderson though it's ridiculous, like
- 22:38Speaker 8: they combined have a below three.
- 22:41Speaker 4: Yeah, that's so stupid unbelievable.
- 22:44Speaker 5: So CAD's got fifteen starts now. I think I believe
- 22:47Speaker 5: he pitched yesterday. He is nine and one win lost,
- 22:50Speaker 5: one point two seven e ra A, seventy seven point
- 22:53Speaker 5: two innings pitched and one hundred and fifteen strikeouts.
- 22:57Speaker 4: Elanda that's a two four combined rat that's combined, right, Yeah,
- 23:02Speaker 4: like exactly insane combined.
- 23:05Speaker 3: I just said, like combine they have below three. That's crazy, dude,
- 23:08Speaker 3: I mean like insane.
- 23:10Speaker 9: Actually for both those guys, it should be.
- 23:14Speaker 5: It should be so for both those guys, specifically, you know,
- 23:17Speaker 5: Kate being the number two overall pick, Like clearly there's
- 23:20Speaker 5: a plan in place, a long term plan in place
- 23:23Speaker 5: where these guys would be, these guys would be in
- 23:25Speaker 5: the show. Like, I don't know a lot about baseball
- 23:27Speaker 5: and like how it all works and when people get
- 23:29Speaker 5: called up.
- 23:29Speaker 8: Right, I don't follow the Mariners enough to know like
- 23:32Speaker 8: what their pin looks like or what their like money
- 23:36Speaker 8: situation is or anything like that.
- 23:37Speaker 3: Well, I guess it.
- 23:37Speaker 8: Wouldn't really matter the money, but like, I just don't
- 23:40Speaker 8: know enough about the Marler Marlins, Marlar's Marlins.
- 23:45Speaker 9: They saw.
- 23:47Speaker 8: The Marlins as an organization to say, yeah, they're waiting
- 23:50Speaker 8: on this for.
- 23:51Speaker 3: Kate or whatever.
- 23:52Speaker 4: The Mariners are there in third Oh, I.
- 23:55Speaker 8: Said Marlins Mariners.
- 23:57Speaker 4: Is what I meant. Yeah they are. They're fifty three
- 23:59Speaker 4: and fifty five. Uh, maybe you don't bring him up
- 24:02Speaker 4: because they're one and a half games out of a
- 24:03Speaker 4: wild card right now. That would be the only reason.
- 24:07Speaker 4: I mean, like like Gaye Jump and Tommy Tanks coming up, like.
- 24:09Speaker 3: You're so they're doing well.
- 24:10Speaker 4: Yeah, Yeah, the A's are terrible. They're nine games out,
- 24:13Speaker 4: but they're pretty five and sixty two, like they're really bad.
- 24:15Speaker 4: I mean the Red Sox like Iansin's. I wish they'd
- 24:18Speaker 4: bring them up immediately, but they've somehow caught fire and
- 24:20Speaker 4: won fifteen They won fifteen straight games and that ended
- 24:24Speaker 4: last Thursday, I believe. But they've be one of the
- 24:26Speaker 4: best teams in baseball over the last month or so.
- 24:28Speaker 4: But there's still only a game and a half up
- 24:29Speaker 4: in the wild card.
- 24:31Speaker 5: So the Mariners are game and half back at the
- 24:33Speaker 5: wild Yeah, fifty three, that's not like Tank in season.
- 24:37Speaker 4: No, it makes sense not to bring him up, maybe, yeah,
- 24:40Speaker 4: because you don't want to get him in the like
- 24:42Speaker 4: bringing up a guy it's a rookie at that level
- 24:46Speaker 4: in a situation where like it's very few times if
- 24:48Speaker 4: like that's worked out really well in that kind of stage.
- 24:50Speaker 4: Like Andrew Jones when he was nineteen came up in
- 24:53Speaker 4: you know, like ninety six thirty years ago, he hit
- 24:56Speaker 4: like two home runs I think in his first start
- 24:58Speaker 4: in the World Series something like that. But that is
- 25:01Speaker 4: very few times you bring hit up that that early
- 25:03Speaker 4: and it goes well. I feel like under those kind
- 25:07Speaker 4: of lights.
- 25:08Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, clearly there's a plan of place, and I'm
- 25:10Speaker 5: sure for pitching you want to be cautious and you
- 25:14Speaker 5: to take your time. Maybe maybe it's like a quarterback.
- 25:16Speaker 5: If you play him too early, maybe you could ruin them.
- 25:19Speaker 5: There's no confidence. Oh my god, that's a combined between
- 25:24Speaker 5: Kat Anderson and anything Iansen combined total of two point
- 25:28Speaker 5: four r A.
- 25:29Speaker 8: I mean the Mariners as a bullpen, like as a
- 25:32Speaker 8: pitching staff, have a three point seventy one r A.
- 25:36Speaker 3: So that yeah, not awful. And the guy that got
- 25:39Speaker 3: Brian Wu.
- 25:40Speaker 5: Yeah, someone just said in the chat that the Mariner's
- 25:41Speaker 5: pitching is really good.
- 25:42Speaker 8: Yeah, so, and like I said, like I didn't follow
- 25:45Speaker 8: it enough to know, but now looking at that, like
- 25:48Speaker 8: I can see why they're kind of waiting.
- 25:50Speaker 4: If they were the if they have the same record
- 25:52Speaker 4: as the A's, he would be up. Yeah.
- 25:55Speaker 5: So that's LSU guys that are currently doing awesome, good,
- 25:59Speaker 5: big things in Major League LSU baseball. Right now. We're fighting, fighting,
- 26:04Speaker 5: for someone. Is that true?
- 26:06Speaker 8: Yeah, Logan Schmidt, okay, uh left handed picture out of
- 26:10Speaker 8: where's he from?
- 26:11Speaker 3: If you from here?
- 26:13Speaker 4: I have no idea.
- 26:14Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't know.
- 26:15Speaker 3: Well, I don't know where he's from.
- 26:16Speaker 8: But Logan Schmidt, he was drafted at fifty nine by
- 26:19Speaker 8: the Guardians turned it down, And now I guess we're
- 26:23Speaker 8: just kind of waiting on his decision to see if
- 26:25Speaker 8: he's going to go to Juco or come to LSU
- 26:27Speaker 8: in California, California, And.
- 26:29Speaker 5: How is that even a question mark?
- 26:32Speaker 8: I guess, I mean you have a different opinion than
- 26:36Speaker 8: I do, so or like a different.
- 26:38Speaker 4: I mean, I think we're a different take on. I
- 26:40Speaker 4: think I think I understand where he's coming from in
- 26:42Speaker 4: terms of if the decision is going to be made,
- 26:44Speaker 4: because in college baseball now you have to wait three
- 26:46Speaker 4: years to get drafted, right unless you're over a certain age
- 26:49Speaker 4: for real to do effort two. But the rules if
- 26:52Speaker 4: you go Juco, you can go pro again for one year.
- 26:54Speaker 4: He is their highest ranked prospect or supposed be their
- 26:56Speaker 4: higher rank draft prospect, which is really saying something. Exact
- 26:59Speaker 4: class was load, Like that class was absolutely loaded. He
- 27:02Speaker 4: went fifty ninth and then the who was it again?
- 27:05Speaker 4: The Guardians they spent all their money. Yeah, they just
- 27:08Speaker 4: spent all their money, and so they only had one
- 27:11Speaker 4: point seven million dollars left, which in that slot value
- 27:13Speaker 4: is it's not even close. Right, So he said he's
- 27:15Speaker 4: not going to go He can go to LSU, or
- 27:17Speaker 4: he can go to JUCO. I think I understand if
- 27:19Speaker 4: he goes to Juco. Yeah, because you can go and
- 27:22Speaker 4: be drafted one year your I mean, your your stats
- 27:25Speaker 4: should look pretty dominant because you're playing against lesser competition.
- 27:29Speaker 4: There's much less of a chance for you to get
- 27:30Speaker 4: lost in the weeds in the SEC. But you were
- 27:32Speaker 4: saying also like, I mean, why the hell did you
- 27:34Speaker 4: not come here and get the Yeah?
- 27:35Speaker 8: Well, and also like I guess I didn't know this
- 27:37Speaker 8: part of it. So you say the Guardians ran out
- 27:39Speaker 8: of money. Yeah, okay, So if he were to say,
- 27:42Speaker 8: all right, I'm gonna sign with you, would he have
- 27:44Speaker 8: not gotten that money or like what they.
- 27:46Speaker 4: Only had one point seven million left in their in
- 27:49Speaker 4: their like that loot.
- 27:51Speaker 5: Yeah he could have got more.
- 27:53Speaker 8: Yeah, no for sure, but I'm just trying like that
- 27:55Speaker 8: might change my opinion on like whether or not he
- 27:58Speaker 8: would have gotten any sort of money. But like, so
- 28:00Speaker 8: if he would have signed, he would have got something, right, well, says.
- 28:03Speaker 4: A slot value is only one point six.
- 28:06Speaker 3: So he could have got his contract then.
- 28:07Speaker 4: But he also was a god. Yeah, but also he
- 28:10Speaker 4: was he was supposed to be ow a lot higher.
- 28:12Speaker 4: I think not a lot higher, but he was like
- 28:13Speaker 4: fifty nine was still real pretty high low in comparison
- 28:16Speaker 4: for yeah, maybe where he thought he was gonna get drafted.
- 28:18Speaker 4: Either way, they only had one point seven million. Yeah,
- 28:22Speaker 4: maybe maybe I'm on on this, maybe something the chat
- 28:23Speaker 4: and a little bit more.
- 28:24Speaker 8: No, I'm not curious because like it might change my
- 28:26Speaker 8: opinion if like he said no because he wasn't going
- 28:29Speaker 8: to get whatever money. But like if money is a thing,
- 28:34Speaker 8: I just for me, I don't understand turning down going
- 28:37Speaker 8: to the I get that you can next year go
- 28:40Speaker 8: re enter the draft, and whereas if you went Tel
- 28:42Speaker 8: SU you'd have to wait until twenty twenty eight I
- 28:44Speaker 8: think it was or twenty nine, I don't remember, but
- 28:46Speaker 8: I think he'd have to wait till twenty twenty eight
- 28:48Speaker 8: to re enter to be able to go to the MLB. Right,
- 28:53Speaker 8: So I get that logic of like, oh, I just
- 28:56Speaker 8: want to wait for a year. But I just don't
- 28:58Speaker 8: know how much you can get in a year out
- 29:01Speaker 8: of juco versus oh, not much at LSU. So in
- 29:05Speaker 8: my head, if you're turning down one point six million
- 29:09Speaker 8: dollars and fifty ninth overall draft, you're not saying no
- 29:14Speaker 8: to go to a junior college. You're saying no to
- 29:17Speaker 8: go develop and maybe make some money at LSU two And.
- 29:21Speaker 4: Maybe, I mean, like the ceiling is probably like I
- 29:23Speaker 4: don't know how much more you're gonna make it, like
- 29:25Speaker 4: how much higher you're gonna go in the draft than
- 29:27Speaker 4: than you know, fifty ninth overall. Matt brought it's gonna
- 29:30Speaker 4: brought up a good point the other day, which was
- 29:33Speaker 4: if you're a kid that has zero intention of going
- 29:36Speaker 4: to college, right and you are gonna go pro and
- 29:39Speaker 4: for your entire process, you're saying, like, I know I'm
- 29:42Speaker 4: gonna get drafted here, I have no intention of going
- 29:44Speaker 4: to Baton Rouge. This is where I'm gonna go. And
- 29:46Speaker 4: now all of a sudden you not only probably have
- 29:49Speaker 4: to go, but you have to be there for three years. Yeah,
- 29:51Speaker 4: I understand that probably looking like a lifetime at eighteen
- 29:54Speaker 4: years old. I mean, like I brought up the Bryce
- 29:57Speaker 4: Harper thing because it's kind of similar, even though his
- 29:59Speaker 4: was similar. This was like the circuit, but it was
- 30:01Speaker 4: the draft ye to go, you know, before he was
- 30:03Speaker 4: I think he went as like a junior in high
- 30:05Speaker 4: school and played in Juju. Not the same thing here,
- 30:08Speaker 4: but I would assume, I mean, buddy, don't go. Don't
- 30:11Speaker 4: go to juco and put up a four to four
- 30:13Speaker 4: e r A you know what I mean? Like that's
- 30:14Speaker 4: that that would be pretty tough. I think I don't
- 30:17Speaker 4: know what his how much he would be getting from nil.
- 30:20Speaker 8: Here, but now that like, okay, so somebody put in
- 30:23Speaker 8: the chat Dave t or something he said he had
- 30:25Speaker 8: a dollar value set and they did not reach it.
- 30:27Speaker 8: So that's why he didn't sign. So he he didn't
- 30:30Speaker 8: sign because they couldn't get to the dollar amount he wanted.
- 30:32Speaker 8: That actually might change my opinion on it a little
- 30:34Speaker 8: bit more to like maybe he's giving them time to
- 30:37Speaker 8: get their contract situation together so that next year he's like, Okay,
- 30:40Speaker 8: did y'all get it together?
- 30:41Speaker 3: Let's gone way.
- 30:44Speaker 5: I'm a definitely, I'm a definitely like an an amateur
- 30:48Speaker 5: when it comes to knowing how all this ins and
- 30:51Speaker 5: out like not like ya, but just from like hearing
- 30:55Speaker 5: this kind of y'all talk about it like in depth
- 30:58Speaker 5: for the really the first time. It sounds like, Okay,
- 31:00Speaker 5: if you can't reach a number that's on the slot value,
- 31:03Speaker 5: that's one thing. You're right, it might change the whole
- 31:05Speaker 5: opinion on everything. But if you are thinking that you
- 31:08Speaker 5: should have gone higher to potentially get more money, this
- 31:11Speaker 5: is like playing like LSU playing directional school. You like,
- 31:16Speaker 5: it's a no win situation. It's it's an you can
- 31:19Speaker 5: only lose by going to Juco. Do you think if
- 31:22Speaker 5: you go and have a sub one E R A
- 31:24Speaker 5: and Juco, you're gonna get drafted higher? No, I don't
- 31:27Speaker 5: think so.
- 31:28Speaker 4: But if he goes and he starts he's a left
- 31:29Speaker 4: you throw in ninety seven, right, I think. Okay, that's
- 31:36Speaker 4: also interesting because if you you guys got anything, I
- 31:41Speaker 4: think whatever, I mean, if he goes up over well,
- 31:44Speaker 4: I'm just saying if he ends up like if it's
- 31:45Speaker 4: ninety seven and he starts on one hundred from the
- 31:48Speaker 4: left side, then yeah, like then maybe you see your
- 31:50Speaker 4: number go up a little bit higher. I mean, that's
- 31:53Speaker 4: you're You're messing with a lot of stuff here. Because
- 31:55Speaker 4: like like to like two rounds or like the first
- 31:58Speaker 4: sixty picks. That's I mean, there's only so much higher
- 32:02Speaker 4: you can go, especially with Juco. And now does he
- 32:05Speaker 4: have leverage as much as you did before? I mean, listen,
- 32:08Speaker 4: I will say this from like the draft process as
- 32:10Speaker 4: a whole, and it's it's has changed a lot over
- 32:12Speaker 4: the last like twenty years when I was draft eligible. No,
- 32:16Speaker 4: but like you you have if you're a lefty, you
- 32:19Speaker 4: have some of the most like power and leverage out
- 32:21Speaker 4: of anybody in the draft. If you're a lefty pitcher
- 32:24Speaker 4: and you were throwing that that hard already.
- 32:27Speaker 3: Good breaking ball to man, even better that the change.
- 32:32Speaker 4: Is good, you got a sweeper. There's so many new
- 32:36Speaker 4: pitches now, so many.
- 32:38Speaker 5: I saw a sweeper come across like a broadcast in
- 32:40Speaker 5: the day. I was like, what's It's.
- 32:42Speaker 4: A real thing. Yeah. No, So I mean like he
- 32:45Speaker 4: he probably still has a lot of leverage. And I
- 32:47Speaker 4: think unlikely we talked about earlier with like the football stuff. Yeah,
- 32:51Speaker 4: like agents and this this type of athlete, this type
- 32:54Speaker 4: of like a guaranteed baseball contract, they are probably advising
- 32:57Speaker 4: him the best way possible.
- 32:58Speaker 8: So yeah, for sure, I think my like thing Jake
- 33:01Speaker 8: and I kind of talked about this whenever it was
- 33:03Speaker 8: first announced that he was not going to the MLB
- 33:06Speaker 8: that it's for me, it's the same argument that we
- 33:09Speaker 8: made with Steven mylom right, Like you can go to
- 33:12Speaker 8: the draft, now get drafted at whatever spot you get
- 33:15Speaker 8: drafted at, being the minors for however long you're gonna
- 33:19Speaker 8: be in the because he's not going to be like
- 33:20Speaker 8: a Tommy Tanks or no. So for me, like it's
- 33:26Speaker 8: kind of the same thing, like do you want to
- 33:27Speaker 8: go to a juco and then the next season go
- 33:33Speaker 8: to the MLB draft and Daniel and the chat actually
- 33:35Speaker 8: brings up a good point like they might not even
- 33:37Speaker 8: the MLB might not even play next season, like the
- 33:40Speaker 8: strike is like a very possible thing, and like shout
- 33:43Speaker 8: out Daniel in the chat for bringing that up, like
- 33:46Speaker 8: that is a good point, Like they are very close
- 33:48Speaker 8: to just not even having a season next season. So
- 33:51Speaker 8: I mean, if you want to also put that in there,
- 33:54Speaker 8: that's another year that you can be at LSU making
- 33:57Speaker 8: more money being where fans love you. You're traveling like in
- 34:01Speaker 8: style with the minor leagues, you're going to like Durham
- 34:05Speaker 8: North Durham and you're which is a great city whatever,
- 34:09Speaker 8: But I mean, yeah, Ju.
- 34:12Speaker 4: Goo versus ju Go versus Division one at this level,
- 34:17Speaker 4: the facilities and the difference.
- 34:18Speaker 3: There that versus minor league.
- 34:21Speaker 4: He's going to school, yeah, at a junior college and
- 34:24Speaker 4: having to live in that type of like that small
- 34:26Speaker 4: town like that is it depends on where he goes.
- 34:28Speaker 4: Maybe he goes like Chipolo or something like that. It's
- 34:30Speaker 4: like a pretty well known place out in Florida. They
- 34:32Speaker 4: put a ton of people in the league. Yeah, maybe
- 34:34Speaker 4: he goes there. I don't know.
- 34:35Speaker 5: Well, yeah, we're gonna we're gonna wrap it up. I
- 34:37Speaker 5: think we can all Now that is better than junior college.
- 34:41Speaker 3: Yeah, in the league.
- 34:42Speaker 5: So if you if this guy wants a chance to
- 34:45Speaker 5: one day play for the Pirates, he should come to
- 34:47Speaker 5: l s C. And if you want a chance to
- 34:49Speaker 5: go to the best grocery store around, go to Rouses.
- 34:52Speaker 5: And we would also go to erauss dot com. Why
- 34:55Speaker 5: would I send you to a website for a grocery store, Well,
- 34:58Speaker 5: because you can go to the website, you can type

- 35:08Speaker 5: changes too. You might get a ten percent off here,

- 35:19Speaker 5: that shopping with the local company, the local grocery store

- 35:42Speaker 5: got two segments left in this show, so stick with
- 35:45Speaker 5: us right here and off the bench.
- 35:47Speaker 1: Off the bench, Tigers turn talkers. This is off the bench.
- 36:07Speaker 5: I guess you like things happen like that. You just move?
- 36:12Speaker 4: Can you stay on air?
- 36:16Speaker 5: I don't know, you know, I honestly don't know who care.
- 36:19Speaker 5: So we did it and we're gonna be past. Welcome back.
- 36:22Speaker 9: Yeah, it wasn't even just.
- 36:25Speaker 4: Go past all right, let's move on. You know you can't.
- 36:31Speaker 5: Hey, welcome back to off the bench. Well let's see
- 36:34Speaker 5: if Richard and he did that's right out.
- 36:37Speaker 8: Okay, he can do Tuesday and Thursday next week, possibly
- 36:40Speaker 8: Friday there, so you got.
- 36:42Speaker 3: There tomorrow and Friday here?
- 36:44Speaker 4: Really? Yeah? Is that okay with that one guy in
- 36:47Speaker 4: the chat?
- 36:47Speaker 3: Probably not?
- 36:48Speaker 4: But you can do it, can you? Really?
- 36:54Speaker 5: You just got to know, like, wait, can you.
- 36:57Speaker 3: Not YouTube cares?
- 37:02Speaker 4: You're like, yeah, yeah, I don't know. I did this
- 37:05Speaker 4: with it.
- 37:05Speaker 5: That was I do like your wrists around when he
- 37:08Speaker 5: did it too.
- 37:08Speaker 4: It's just my wrist, you jerk.
- 37:11Speaker 5: Oh you can't say that.
- 37:13Speaker 4: Oh we cancel the meeting.
- 37:16Speaker 5: Hey guess what? All right, there's one thing you do
- 37:18Speaker 5: got to remember? What's that when you do this morning,
- 37:21Speaker 5: especially like a couple of days in a row. Yeah,
- 37:23Speaker 5: the day doesn't end at ten am, Like you still
- 37:25Speaker 5: have to go and be a productive citizen.
- 37:29Speaker 4: That's a hell of a thing for you to say
- 37:30Speaker 4: to me. Matt Ye last week, take all week? All week?
- 37:34Speaker 4: I was like, what are you doing? Physicals? I don't know,
- 37:35Speaker 4: I'm taking on an app. I didn't have anything to
- 37:38Speaker 4: do fifteen in the morning.
- 37:42Speaker 5: Which you can't go do.
- 37:43Speaker 4: Yeah, I gotta go to the Apple stores.
- 37:44Speaker 5: You can't think it's all done and then go do
- 37:47Speaker 5: some day drinking what like Tony Remo? Dude, So did
- 37:53Speaker 5: you watch everybody watch his video the body Cam?
- 37:59Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 37:59Speaker 9: I saw it.
- 38:01Speaker 5: Okay, So let me just give you my opinion. First, obviously,
- 38:03Speaker 5: do not drink and drive. Very bad. Breaking and driving
- 38:07Speaker 5: is bad.
- 38:07Speaker 3: It is buzz driving.
- 38:10Speaker 5: But I did have questions, No, it's not, it's not
- 38:13Speaker 5: at all.
- 38:13Speaker 4: Feel a little bit loose, get out of the lane.
- 38:16Speaker 5: What's that movie? And he's like, I saw those magical
- 38:19Speaker 5: numbers point step brothers. Yeah, that's right.
- 38:23Speaker 4: So they're drinking with Seal.
- 38:24Speaker 5: Yeah I saw point seven.
- 38:32Speaker 4: Such a perfect character, such a perfect character.
- 38:35Speaker 5: Okay, So I watched this video and you never know
- 38:37Speaker 5: how we've seen a lot of different body camp footages
- 38:40Speaker 5: of athletes kind of like looking like douches, like recently
- 38:44Speaker 5: like I'm called the president or I'm like do you know?
- 38:48Speaker 5: Do you know who I am? Have you ever? And
- 38:51Speaker 5: I haven't always talked nice about Tony Romo, like as
- 38:53Speaker 5: an on air guy, Like I don't like love his broadcast.
- 38:56Speaker 5: I don't know, but like I thought, he handled the
- 39:02Speaker 5: situation pretty good. I thought he was very respectful. I
- 39:06Speaker 5: thought he was.
- 39:09Speaker 4: Drunk drivers I've seen, he was one of the the nicest.
- 39:12Speaker 5: It did bring up a question, like I had a
- 39:15Speaker 5: question during the thing. Can do you have to be
- 39:18Speaker 5: like can you not call an attorney in a situation
- 39:20Speaker 5: where you want to ask a question? Like you should
- 39:22Speaker 5: be able to do that in all situations. And she
- 39:24Speaker 5: said no. And I'm not saying she handled it wrong.
- 39:26Speaker 5: I don't know the situation. Yeah, I don't know the
- 39:29Speaker 5: protocol there, but I thought he handled everything. So as
- 39:32Speaker 5: soon as she said we are going to do a
- 39:34Speaker 5: field sobriety test, he was like, okay, well I'm going
- 39:37Speaker 5: to call my attorney. Yeah, but she said no, is
- 39:40Speaker 5: that a normal thing to say? Can you stop somebody
- 39:44Speaker 5: from doing that? And maybe someone in the check can answer.
- 39:46Speaker 5: I know my father's an attorney, but I don't know
- 39:48Speaker 5: the answer you get your dad's an attorney, Yeah, daddy,
- 39:57Speaker 5: that's what you call it. Callback.
- 40:00Speaker 9: I'm dead.
- 40:04Speaker 8: WHOA Yes, police can stop you from calling a lawyer
- 40:08Speaker 8: during a field sobriety test. You do not have a
- 40:10Speaker 8: constitutional right to have an attorney president or to consult
- 40:13Speaker 8: with one before deciding whether to perform roadside physical tests.
- 40:17Speaker 4: They said already in the chat, No, I looked it up.
- 40:23Speaker 3: A normal person.
- 40:24Speaker 5: I had no idea, like Danny, can you confirm that
- 40:28Speaker 5: in the chat thought this was America.
- 40:31Speaker 3: I thought I thought we could drive, and they're taking
- 40:38Speaker 3: away our rights.
- 40:39Speaker 4: If he was in LOUISIAA I like to see AI
- 40:41Speaker 4: drink and drive, you know what I mean?
- 40:43Speaker 3: I could never wait. I have a question, Yeah, what
- 40:47Speaker 3: is it?
- 40:47Speaker 4: So?
- 40:47Speaker 3: How many beers?
- 40:48Speaker 9: Was just kidding but so real question, just like caffeine.
- 40:56Speaker 5: Everybody's different.
- 40:56Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, so my real question. I'm gonna say it
- 40:59Speaker 3: real quick and maybe you will answer.
- 41:00Speaker 8: On the other side, Kyle Shanahan, he had like a
- 41:02Speaker 8: really bad car, right forty stitches.
- 41:04Speaker 3: I almost came out right.
- 41:05Speaker 8: He said that he was driving and he dropped his phone,
- 41:08Speaker 8: so he went over to pick it up, and he
- 41:11Speaker 8: lost control of the vehicle, like he didn't see whatever.
- 41:14Speaker 3: But he was driving a Tesla. Yeah, was supposed to
- 41:17Speaker 3: like stop you from crashing.
- 41:19Speaker 4: Also him him even admitting that he had his phone
- 41:22Speaker 4: in his lap.
- 41:23Speaker 3: That means that you you were definitely texting, right, And
- 41:25Speaker 3: I don't know what.
- 41:26Speaker 4: He could have been texting or who's texting. I imagine
- 41:29Speaker 4: it is probably answering questions about why he didn't just
- 41:30Speaker 4: run the ball to run the clock out in the
- 41:32Speaker 4: or the substation.
- 41:35Speaker 5: Apparently it couldn't win for him.
- 41:36Speaker 3: No, but anyway, we can explore that on the other side.
- 41:40Speaker 5: So don't drink and drive. No, that's obvious. Don't text
- 41:44Speaker 5: and drive, that's again obvious.
- 41:46Speaker 4: Don't call your dad.
- 41:47Speaker 5: Yeah. So they in general, so they have ride share
- 41:50Speaker 5: apps those driving places, I mean they take you places.
- 41:54Speaker 5: And then when if you're texting, they got voice to
- 41:57Speaker 5: texts as well. Yeah. And then wait you're who's Yeah,
- 42:04Speaker 5: we're gonna go to break that's right. Get your question
- 42:06Speaker 5: is for ask the bench? All right, get to ask
- 42:09Speaker 5: me questions and we will close out the show right
- 42:12Speaker 5: here and off the bench, Off the bench, all right.
- 42:15Speaker 5: Go to First American Banking Trust, First American Bank and
- 42:18Speaker 5: Trust and that that is f a BT dot com
- 42:21Speaker 5: the local bank, doing business, doing banking the right way.
- 42:25Speaker 5: And they've been doing business for over one hundred years.
- 42:28Speaker 5: That's a century.
- 42:29Speaker 4: That's a century.
- 42:30Speaker 5: That is a long time they've been doing business and
- 42:32Speaker 5: doing I don't think that's they've been doing business the
- 42:38Speaker 5: right way and doing business at the Louisiana way. So
- 42:41Speaker 5: if you have if you have a banking need, if
- 42:43Speaker 5: you have a loan need, maybe it's a commercial Maybe
- 42:46Speaker 5: your business is growing and you need some more more
- 42:49Speaker 5: working capital, a little bit more runway for inventory, or
- 42:52Speaker 5: more people. Whatever it is. Maybe it's a maybe it's
- 42:54Speaker 5: a personal loan you need to it's to mortgage. You
- 42:57Speaker 5: gotta build the house. Your family is growing like a
- 43:01Speaker 5: little razor, and maybe your family's grown you need a mortgage.
- 43:03Speaker 5: Maybe it's a heelock. Whatever it is, make sure you're
- 43:06Speaker 5: making those decisions and having somebody make your Louisiana decision
- 43:09Speaker 5: that's based in Louisiana, not somebody on the Left coast
- 43:12Speaker 5: or New York City. It's first American Baky dress fabt
- 43:15Speaker 5: dot com.
- 43:19Speaker 1: From the locker room to the airwaves, gets off the
- 43:21Speaker 1: bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 43:31Speaker 5: Break your freaking neck? Why why welcome back here?
- 43:38Speaker 4: Off?
- 43:39Speaker 5: Like how they were able to edit this song is incredible.
- 43:42Speaker 4: You know what I miss is like early two thousand
- 43:44Speaker 4: songs where they would they would beep out words or
- 43:47Speaker 4: bleep out words, but then make it worse. Yeah, like
- 43:50Speaker 4: the Missy Elliott song where there's like they're bleeping out
- 43:53Speaker 4: yeah something and it ends up being like an elephant
- 43:55Speaker 4: trunk noise. It's like, oh, that's far worse than what
- 43:57Speaker 4: you're insinuating. Why you do that?
- 44:00Speaker 5: In the two thousands, it was popular to bleepout songs
- 44:02Speaker 5: with sound effects. Yeah, and Andre, who was it that
- 44:04Speaker 5: leaped it out with broken glass? Like glass shattering?
- 44:07Speaker 6: Oh?
- 44:08Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 44:09Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah, did you say it like that?
- 44:12Speaker 8: I love Stone Cold Steve Boston. Yeah, you like my
- 44:14Speaker 8: favorite follow on Instagram.
- 44:16Speaker 4: He follows you.
- 44:17Speaker 3: No, no, no, I'm saying he's my favorite person.
- 44:19Speaker 4: To follow on in Wine Guy.
- 44:21Speaker 5: All right, we have Wine Guy just a little bit
- 44:23Speaker 5: of time. I'm sorry, I'm a I'll get used to
- 44:26Speaker 5: this hosting thing.
- 44:27Speaker 3: We'll get was honestly kind of my fault.
- 44:29Speaker 5: Okay, well no, it's my fault because tell me right here.
- 44:33Speaker 3: Look at us a bunch of non Brendan Son.
- 44:37Speaker 5: Asked the bench, brought to you b cold delicious dose seckies.
- 44:41Speaker 5: My guy, you gotta do the sound that got him?
- 44:50Speaker 5: I asked the bench, how many games of South Carolina
- 44:54Speaker 5: win this year?
- 44:55Speaker 4: I got him going nine and three I didn't do Yeah, sure,
- 44:58Speaker 4: nine three one, Well not like twenty and Oh they
- 45:01Speaker 4: don't play LSU, they don't play Texas.
- 45:03Speaker 3: You know what South Carolina is going on defeated.
- 45:06Speaker 4: They're not doing that.
- 45:06Speaker 5: Hashtag as the bench? What one sports franchise would you
- 45:10Speaker 5: most want to own?
- 45:11Speaker 4: The Boston Red Sox.
- 45:13Speaker 3: Okay, the Dodgers because they probably make the most money.
- 45:18Speaker 5: Okay, I don't know. I'd like to maybe the Cowboys
- 45:20Speaker 5: because after who sold for nine billion recently the Seahawks,
- 45:24Speaker 5: the Cowboys gotta be worth like fifteen billion, whatever it is.
- 45:27Speaker 5: All right, Hey, thank y'all for listening today. Chris Moll're
