- 0:01Hey everybody, welcome to the good morning from the Chicken
- 0:04Coop podcast. My name is Kim Johnson and I am
- 0:07a mastermindset coach, creative strategist and also happen to be
- 0:10a farmer. This is my chicken coop and I
- 0:12come out here every. Day to record a podcast.
- 0:15To teach distinctions, possibilities, new ways of
- 0:18thinking, and just bring some joy into the world.
- 0:21So welcome to the coop and let's start your day off in a
- 0:24fantastic way. Hey everybody.
- 0:28Good morning from. The chicken.
- 0:29Coop. It's quiet in here because the
- 0:32doors are open and it's still dark.
- 0:33I ran out here to open it up and get some air in there 'cause
- 0:36it's so hot down here. Anyway, nobody's talking yet, so
- 0:42here's here's what we're we're focused on today.
- 0:45Looking at someone else's end and seeing where they are and
- 0:49being discouraged with your middle or your beginning is not
- 0:53a good idea. Now, over the weekend, we all
- 0:56heard that Elon Musk became the first trillionaire with the
- 1:01SpaceX IPO. And I've had many comments over
- 1:06the weekend. I've heard people talking about
- 1:08it. I've had people saying it
- 1:10directly to me. It's unbelievable.
- 1:12You know, some people celebrated him.
- 1:14I was one of the people that celebrated what he did and what
- 1:17he stuck with because throughout time, if you watch, if you go
- 1:21back to throughout his career, this man has been constantly
- 1:25expanding regardless of if you like him, regardless of if you
- 1:29like his politics, he doesn't stop.
- 1:32And one of the interesting things about him is he didn't do
- 1:35this and just keep the money for himself.
- 1:37He made sure that the people that worked for him all became
- 1:40millionaires in the process of doing this, which I think is
- 1:44very cool because I have been a part of some very big things and
- 1:47I've worked to put those people in positions where they could
- 1:51make a lot of money and they did not choose to do it to benefit
- 1:54other people, myself included. So I can say I think it's really
- 2:01cool that he did something like that.
- 2:04Again, putting politics aside, putting aside whether you like
- 2:08him or not, looking at his end and actually this is not his
- 2:12end, it's just part of his journey.
- 2:13But looking at this big milestone in his journey and
- 2:16having an opinion on it that's negative, you have to stop and
- 2:21ask yourself, OK, why am I focused on that?
- 2:24Because I don't have it, Because I wasn't part of it, Because I
- 2:27don't work as hard as he does. This is one of those things
- 2:31where we as humans get stuck in a trap.
- 2:33And maybe you still, you still celebrate him, but you say, hey,
- 2:38you know what? I wish I could have that.
- 2:40Well, are are you willing to work as hard as he is willing to
- 2:44work? You know, I've had coaches say
- 2:46to me, I wish I had the number of clients that you have.
- 2:49And I'm like, well, are you willing to do the work that I
- 2:52do? Are you willing to answer people
- 2:53at 4:30 in the morning when you get up?
- 2:55Are you willing to do the stuff that you need to do to help
- 2:59them? Are you willing to work 12 hours
- 3:02a day? What are you willing to do?
- 3:03Because that's stuff that I do. And I can, I can promise you
- 3:07that stuff that I do. Are you willing to jump in and
- 3:10help someone create a marketing plan when you, you have no clue
- 3:15sometimes, but you jump in and you help.
- 3:18Are you willing to go the extra mile, have the extra text, put
- 3:22the tether out there to people, and if you're not, then you have
- 3:26to say, well then I can't expect a result.
- 3:29I can't plant tomato seeds and expect that I'm going to get
- 3:34potatoes. It doesn't work that way.
- 3:37So you have to ask, what am I planting in order to get those
- 3:41results? What am I planting in order to
- 3:43get those results? And am I willing to do the work
- 3:46and celebrate people who have done the work?
- 3:49Because that's how it goes around.
- 3:51What comes around goes around. So it's imperative.
- 3:55It's imperative to recognize where that dialogue in your head
- 3:58is going because if you don't recognize it, you can't
- 4:01counteract it. You can't, you can't put
- 4:03something, a barrier up to say, no, I'm not going to do that.
- 4:07I'm going to celebrate it. I'm going to go all in.
- 4:10So the question is, how do you determine all in?
- 4:13There's a lot of things in this today you've got to say, am I
- 4:16all in? And what is all in?
- 4:18And what am I willing to do? You know, like I, I can say
- 4:22without question when I was doing marketing and had our,
- 4:26our, our marketing studio many years ago, we had somebody come
- 4:30in and wanted us to, you know, start talking about stuff that I
- 4:35would was not comfortable with that had to do with smoking.
- 4:38And I was like, no, I am not going to do something like that.
- 4:42I will not do it. I lost my father to can't lung
- 4:45cancer. Sorry, can't put my creativity
- 4:48to that. That's a barrier that I felt was
- 4:50OK, but that didn't mean that all in didn't mean I couldn't
- 4:53help other clients do things and go into the exceptional level.
- 4:58Again. It's all about that exceptional
- 5:00level and what you're willing to do with yourself.
- 5:03So point of today, really take a very strong look at this look at
- 5:10are you celebrating someone else's wins?
- 5:12Are you putting aside all of that?
- 5:14Are you, are you not comparing your middle or beginning to
- 5:18their end? And what is your all in look
- 5:22like? Such a big podcast to talk about
- 5:25in such 5 minutes, but such great questions for you to ask
- 5:28yourself. All right, my friends.
- 5:30I hope you have a blessed day and I will see you tomorrow.
- 5:32Bye.
