- 0:00Speaker 1: I was home on Saturday, getting ready to uh for
- 0:02Speaker 1: an event at Ken Sanders Bookstore, and there was a
- 0:06Speaker 1: knock at my door. I go to the door. There's
- 0:10Speaker 1: a guy standing there, kind of He was wearing shorts
- 0:14Speaker 1: and a T shirt with some company logo on it.
- 0:17Speaker 1: Not a T shirt, but a polo type shirt with
- 0:19Speaker 1: a company logo on it. He said, Hi, I'm Darius
- 0:23Speaker 1: the bug Boy. I said, okay. He said, I take
- 0:28Speaker 1: care of the bugs here, neighbor. Your neighbor's here, you know,
- 0:31Speaker 1: my door Saturday too. I take care I take care
- 0:34Speaker 1: of these neighbors bugs. And I said, you're an exterminator. Yeah,
- 0:39Speaker 1: that's right. I said, Well, I don't have need of
- 0:43Speaker 1: your services. Why not you don't, I said, no, I
- 0:48Speaker 1: like the bugs. I don't want you to kill the bugs.
- 0:52Speaker 1: We are at peace with the bugs we have. Yeah,
- 0:56Speaker 1: well that's weird. Okay, then goodbye. Off he goes. He
- 1:01Speaker 1: couldn't couldn't conceive of the fact that I didn't want
- 1:03Speaker 1: my yard sprayed, in my house sprayed, particularly by a
- 1:06Speaker 1: guy who comes around and says, Hi, I'm Darius the
- 1:09Speaker 1: bug boy. Is that what he said?
- 1:11Speaker 2: I didn't have Darius, but it was a woman who
- 1:14Speaker 2: was with the same company they were.
- 1:16Speaker 1: They hit our house a couple of weeks ago. No,
- 1:19Speaker 1: no thanks. And you know it's a lie when they
- 1:22Speaker 1: say we take care of the bugs for a lot
- 1:25Speaker 1: of your neighbors here, they don't. They don't. Bug boy.
- 1:31Speaker 1: I'm the bug boy.
- 1:32Speaker 2: That's what you were doing Saturday. Saturday, I was taking
- 1:37Speaker 2: my mother the Sainted Mary Claire or her Mother's Day present,
- 1:42Speaker 2: which was a trip to a hair spa. Now, this
- 1:47Speaker 2: isn't a hair salon, not a salon. It's a hair spa.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Is it where you let your hair relax?
- 1:53Speaker 2: Well, it's a Japanese hairspa. And you go and you
- 1:58Speaker 2: like put a robe on, and they have you lie
- 2:02Speaker 2: down on a table and put your head back in
- 2:05Speaker 2: a sink. Okay, and it's an hour of a massage
- 2:12Speaker 2: your hole.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Really.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Oh yeah. And they have this multi jet water spray
- 2:17Speaker 2: that sprays over your head. And they have all these
- 2:22Speaker 2: like gadgets that like vibrate and like electros.
- 2:26Speaker 1: So they can charge you a lot of money for
- 2:28Speaker 1: a hair watch.
- 2:30Speaker 2: I mean, I mean kind of but it's but it's
- 2:33Speaker 2: it's lovely.
- 2:36Speaker 1: You didn't just sit there and watch, No, I.
- 2:38Speaker 2: Said, Mom, This is what we're doing for others days.
- 2:40Speaker 2: So but you know what they have there?
- 2:43Speaker 1: What?
- 2:43Speaker 2: No, I don't and and I know and Carrie's getting
- 2:47Speaker 2: ready to go back to Japan. They have one of
- 2:51Speaker 2: those Japanese toilets.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Oh yeah, real fancy stuff, like.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Better than the hairspot part. I wanted to just hang
- 3:00Speaker 2: out in the bathroom.
- 3:01Speaker 1: What what will this toilet do?
- 3:03Speaker 2: So it's not just a bidet right now, I mean
- 3:06Speaker 2: it is a it is a toilet. And I think
- 3:09Speaker 2: Carrie took pictures of this when you were there. There's
- 3:11Speaker 2: like a panel next to the toilet with I don't
- 3:16Speaker 2: know thirty different things like the toilet can do like
- 3:20Speaker 2: what so it heats the seat. Sure, you can choose
- 3:25Speaker 2: where you want the water to spray you.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Sure?
- 3:27Speaker 2: Is this a front job or a back job? Is
- 3:31Speaker 2: are you a woman or a man? There's a dryer
- 3:36Speaker 2: at the end of the Yeah.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Yeah, now that see. I have a just a fairly
- 3:41Speaker 1: you know, tone down the day on my toilet. But
- 3:44Speaker 1: I wish it had a dryer.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I really did. I'm like, I could
- 3:48Speaker 2: just be in here. I don't they don't need to.
- 3:52Speaker 2: And I went home and I told Joe I'm like,
- 3:54Speaker 2: I want. I don't know how much they cost.
- 3:57Speaker 1: I want, and I would I would have used some
- 4:01Speaker 1: of those features if I read Japanese.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Yeah, see this was in English.
- 4:05Speaker 1: That's the problem.
- 4:06Speaker 2: But so while I'm in there with with no while
- 4:11Speaker 2: I'm in there with Mary Claire, I'm sort of worried
- 4:14Speaker 2: because I'm waiting for a phone call from Festus, my
- 4:18Speaker 2: sailor's son, because it's his last day of class for
- 4:24Speaker 2: the medical school he's in in San Diego. And this
- 4:28Speaker 2: the whole time, every exam period he has for this class.
- 4:33Speaker 2: If you fail it, you're out. It's not like a
- 4:36Speaker 2: well do better next time. So he could potentially have
- 4:39Speaker 2: gotten all the way through school and failed the last
- 4:43Speaker 2: exam and you have to start all over again.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Wow, could you tell him about the toilet?
- 4:48Speaker 2: I didn't. I should have. But when we got out
- 4:51Speaker 2: of the SPA, I had a missed call from him,
- 4:53Speaker 2: and I'm like, oh, oh, this is it. Either passed
- 4:56Speaker 2: or he didn't. I called him back and he passed.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Not only did he pass, he was number two in
- 5:05Speaker 2: his class. Really, so when this class he's in IDC school,
- 5:09Speaker 2: which is like a PA in the Navy, there were
- 5:14Speaker 2: like thirty five people that started the class. Half of
- 5:19Speaker 2: them failed out as the class went on, and he
- 5:24Speaker 2: finished second in his class. So he doesn't graduate till August.
- 5:31Speaker 2: So for the next little while he does a clinical rotation.
- 5:34Speaker 2: So think about it like a like a regular medical
- 5:37Speaker 2: doctor or PA. Once you finish the school part, you
- 5:41Speaker 2: go like out into the world and you work in
- 5:43Speaker 2: an er and you work in a instacat and you
- 5:46Speaker 2: work getting real world experience. So he's doing that now.
- 5:50Speaker 2: But technically he's done, like the testing is over. The
- 5:54Speaker 2: hard part is done.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Can he write prescriptions? Carry, says the conspiratorial boys. I
- 6:03Speaker 1: just want to know when.
- 6:05Speaker 2: So when he is when he is on a ship
- 6:09Speaker 2: and he is the sole medical provider, Yes, he can prescribe,
- 6:17Speaker 2: you're wondering. I don't know about pain pills. Is that
- 6:19Speaker 2: what you're wanting?
- 6:23Speaker 1: In general?
- 6:24Speaker 2: He can dispense medication off the ship, I'm not sure.
- 6:30Speaker 2: But when he's there, he's in charge of the pills
- 6:34Speaker 2: and he distributes.
- 6:35Speaker 1: So if you were to write a prescription and mail
- 6:38Speaker 1: it from the ship, I don't know, Hello, sailor boy,
- 6:42Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 6:45Speaker 2: But so is that what he's gonna do?
- 6:48Speaker 1: Is he gonna work in RS or something.
- 6:50Speaker 2: So he'll do that for the next little while and
- 6:53Speaker 2: then in July. It's kind of like a job recruiter,
- 6:59Speaker 2: so a big wig from the Navy, I'll come and say, hello,
- 7:03Speaker 2: all you new independent duty corman. Here are the jobs
- 7:08Speaker 2: that are available. So he can, because he's number two
- 7:12Speaker 2: in his class, he can put kind of a wishless
- 7:14Speaker 2: together of what he wants to do. Ultimately, the government
- 7:18Speaker 2: sends you where they want you. You know, we have
- 7:21Speaker 2: an opening here and here and here, So we'll find
- 7:23Speaker 2: out in July where he's going to go. But I
- 7:26Speaker 2: was lobbying for Hawaii. I'm trying to think of places
- 7:31Speaker 2: where I'd want to go visit him. Or Italy. There
- 7:33Speaker 2: are two naval bases in Italy. Well, Japan would be
- 7:38Speaker 2: kind of cool, sure, but but we don't know yet.
- 7:41Speaker 2: But I'm very, very proud of him. It's been a
- 7:44Speaker 2: stressful time him getting this done, and he did it.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Gina. The five series electronic cleansing toilet for MOA delivers
- 7:52Speaker 1: users are comfortable and complete clean with its powerful performance,
- 7:56Speaker 1: all with the push of a button.
- 7:58Speaker 2: How much is it.
- 7:59Speaker 1: Three thousand, five hundred dollars?
- 8:02Speaker 2: I kind of want one.
- 8:04Speaker 1: There's all kinds of so the photo has so many
- 8:07Speaker 1: different models.
- 8:09Speaker 2: So the funny thing is my mom went into the
- 8:11Speaker 2: bathroom first and I didn't need to go. She came
- 8:15Speaker 2: out and she said, you have to go in there,
- 8:17Speaker 2: and I'm like what She's like, trust me, you have
- 8:20Speaker 2: to go in there.
- 8:21Speaker 1: But day function front and rear pulsating and oscillating cleanse
- 8:27Speaker 1: erraated spray for a complete clean. Oh. I really like
- 8:30Speaker 1: these tankless ones too. Adjustable water pressure and temperature control
- 8:35Speaker 1: and endless instantaneous warm water provide a customizable experience. Hygienic
- 8:42Speaker 1: heated seat with sensor and temperature control. Yeah, manual side
- 8:46Speaker 1: knob and remote control operation. Remote activation includes the remote
- 8:51Speaker 1: opening of the seat and lid so you don't have to, oh.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Bend over.
- 8:56Speaker 1: There's a little button down at the right at the
- 9:00Speaker 1: floor level and you just touch it with your toe
- 9:02Speaker 1: and the and the lid will open.
- 9:04Speaker 2: I want one so bad. Although so the heated toilet
- 9:07Speaker 2: seed is nice. But conversely, do you guys feel like
- 9:12Speaker 2: I do when you go and to use a public
- 9:14Speaker 2: restroom and you sit down and the seats warm, It
- 9:16Speaker 2: creeps you out a little bit.
- 9:18Speaker 1: I don't I don't really have that. I don't want
- 9:20Speaker 1: to believe I've experienced that.
- 9:22Speaker 2: I mean, someone was there not that long. I want
- 9:24Speaker 2: to pretend like I'm the only person.
- 9:26Speaker 1: I don't think i've experienced that.
- 9:28Speaker 2: You've never sat down on a warm public toilets?
- 9:31Speaker 1: No, I haven't. I'm pretty sure I haven't. If I
- 9:37Speaker 1: don't work below the waist, I don't feel anything anymore,
- 9:44Speaker 1: don't feel anything anymore, So I guess I wouldn't know. Geez, well,
- 9:50Speaker 1: you know it was the accident and the pills. Yeah,
- 9:54Speaker 1: some well it was after the accident. I had to
- 9:57Speaker 1: have the pills. So if I were to get a bat,
- 10:02Speaker 1: you can sail right up next to where ended the skies.
- 10:07Speaker 2: Here.
- 10:07Speaker 1: You want to borrow my hat, and then he could
- 10:12Speaker 1: just toss them over the side. I'll toss him down
- 10:16Speaker 1: here in the boat exactly speak Garrett. I mean captain.
- 10:21Speaker 2: He's a captain. Sailor Berr's a captain.
