- Leigh/@followtheleighder: Howdy folks and welcome back to another episode of Follow the Leighder I'm your host, Leigh Larson, and joining me today. ⁓ guys, we're gonna get a little witchy, a little get up in the stars. Just get a little, you know, esoteric with it today. And I know y'all love that. Joining me from Postman is Anak Rabanal Welcome, Anak. Anak Rabanál: Thank you, Leigh. I'm so excited to like share this space with you and like talk about all this stuff and just kind of continue the conversation that we've we've been having. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Yes, absolutely. Folks, ⁓ Nock is a is known online as a practical as practical astrologer. That's that's the handle. She's been doing astrology for quite some time professionally. Y'all gotta check out this resume. She has done coherence consultant and writer director storytelling, working at the intersection of storytelling, excuse me, with real world applications of Eldritch technologies and systems design. She's super talented. She's got a background in private equity and venture capital with Oak Tree Capital and Nuveen and upfront upfront ventures. But and also has taken a few movies to to Kant. You you brought film, a narrative film on PTSD and military soldiers. Thank you for that. We support troops and I am a veteran and I know many listeners are, so thank you. but you've worked with Goop and Sanctuary App. Like you've worked with some really big names and ⁓ I know now you're doing a lot more sort of on the environmental side. You've left the the corporate world and you've really embraced ⁓ this sort of second career as the practical astrologer. And again, folks, I'm at a knock at a conference last week where she was doing the astrology readings for panelists or participants at the conference. So just really, really fascinating woman, knows what she's talking about, and I'm excited for her to share her knowledge today with y'all. ⁓ Anal, can you tell us your background? Were you raised with astrology? Was it something you found later in life? Kind of talk us through your spiritual journey and upbringing. Anak Rabanál: Well, this it is a long ⁓ and winding tale, as they they mostly are. So, you know, I was ⁓ I was born in the Philippines to and you know to a very Catholic family, but like the Philippines is still like also very woo-woo. and when I was little, after we moved to America, like ⁓ when I was little, my mother put up a leoglyph. in my room that had all of these like traits of a Leo because I'm a l Leo son and then growing up she'd always point to it and be like is that what a Leo would do? And it was like ⁓ my god Right. And then ⁓ when I was 16 was when I drew up my first chart ever. Like I like I got this book, I learned how to like do all the manual calculations. Half more than half of the young ones today would probably not be able to do that. And then I went to all girls Catholic school. And when I graduated and I was going to theater conservatory, my best friend was like, you know what, girl. Leigh/@followtheleighder: ⁓ wow. Anak Rabanál: We need to read Linda Goodman's Sun Signs and memorize it so we can be good at seduction. And I was like, okay, let's do it. It's like sounds fun. And she wound up with a husband, and I wound up slowly percolating towards an astrology career, which was also also kind of like pushed in that direction. You know, not for years, but this was like in my twenties. I I wound up ⁓ seeing a Jungian. Psychotherapist and Jung was an astrologer and he used it as modality and like you know the whole like birth season thing and imprinting and all of that. So I was like, ⁓ well, you know, there is validity, like people are using it for things. At that point, I was mostly using it for my directing work because it helped me create characters and write and that whole sort of thing, but then, like, you know, fast forward. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Hm. Yeah, he was. Wow, yeah. Anak Rabanál: To when I really, I mean, I started seeing clients around when I was like 30, not super seriously, but like, you know, my my Guruji, my ⁓ my Vedic astrology teacher was like, You really should pursue this. But he was like, Pursue the other thing. He was like, You always have to have two things. And then Calm 2018 was really when it started to like kick up, and then You know, I was working with Sanctuary, and then I was doing like events with Goop, like, you know, pre-pandemic and then post-pandemic. And then, you know, now that I've moved to Bozeman, I'm kind of, you know, working my way into the community. And I just did a right after the forum you saw me at, I was like giving a round table at a this beautiful sanctuary, wellness sanctuary in Bozeman to talk about, you know, the great reset and what's going on with like the astrology in the world right now. How that affects people, like personally. But like, you know, and then like in between, like, I do have other gifts because the funny thing, I always joke with people, I'm like, you should come see me as an astrologer, because even as a futurist, when I was in my old, like at my at some of my old jobs, I was like, guys that used to invest billions of dollars would listen to what I would say about what's gonna happen in the future, not because of the woo-woo stuff, but like using other modalities. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Yeah. Mm-hmm. Anak Rabanál: Shall we say? So Leigh/@followtheleighder: Yeah, absolutely. I know I know some folks are making some real serious money in the astrology corporate world. Like that it's real. ⁓ and it's been real for human history. I mean, if you go back and you look at kings and generals, like they'll bring in tarot, they'll bring in divinity tools, astrology. I mean, looking at the stars, it's what we've always done. It's like it feels Anak Rabanál: Yeah. Always ⁓ done. Leigh/@followtheleighder: I get a little like weirded out when people I don't know, to be so dismissive of it. And I'm like, Okay, but like it's what we've always done. Anak Rabanál: Yeah, I mean, and that's the that's the interesting thing, right? Like the rise of materialism post-industrial revolution, where if it can't be justified by science, it's not valid. But the fact of the matter is, you know, I always tell people, our ancestors invented the wheel way longer before they understood the physics that made the wheel work, right? So just because we don't understand exactly the the mechanics of Leigh/@followtheleighder: Mm. Anak Rabanál: Astrology as a technology doesn't mean that it isn't valid and it doesn't work, right? I mean, you know, to speak to to what you're saying, I mean, like people used it. There are caves like ⁓ in Las there are cave paintings in Lascaux and other like Magdalene period, like ⁓ cave paintings where there are literally star maps. So that far back in time, people were looking to the sky. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Anak Rabanál: To correlate, you know, like there's different reasons, like, you know, omens, like ⁓ pattern watching and predicting, like all of those things go into kind of like, you know, if you want to understand the the why and the how. But, you know, as as anybody that follows any spiritual path, the how is, you know, source or gods, or that's that. We are here for the why and the what. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Yeah. Well we'll talk about ⁓ I know you're talking about doing the calculations and ⁓ if you could just kind of talk about a astrology in journal. What does that look like? How ⁓ for someone who is who is new to Zodiac, how about that? ⁓ talk to us. What is what is the zodiac? What what is astrology? What how? Anak Rabanál: Okay, so number one, the the first thing is that As religion is in the worship of God, zodiac is for astrologers, it's hilarious. It's like there are, you know, in Western astrology, so that's that's talking about the tradition from the Greeks and the Babylonians and the Persians, you know, through Europe in time, predominantly uses what's called the tropical zodiac. And so that is measured on ⁓ In terms of like the equinoxes, right? And also exactly where the ⁓ it doesn't correlate anymore to where the actual constellations are in the sky. So a lot of like people that want to debunk are like, well, those stars aren't even there, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Right? So Leigh/@followtheleighder: Got it. Okay. Anak Rabanál: In Eastern astrology, especially in the Vedic, it's it's more appropriate to call it ⁓ Jodish, which means like the study of light, because Vedic ⁓ implies someone that's also using Vedanta and using the Hindu spiritual system and using that as part of guiding one's spiritual practice, right? But in that system, girl, like as many denominations as you can think of, like because Leigh/@followtheleighder: Right. Anak Rabanál: People anchor that zodiac to different like like stars. They they like you know it it follows the procession of the sky. So it is more accurate to where a constellation is, per se. And so like that's a whole other thing. But if you're just getting into it, right? Let's just say bare tax, you are ⁓ someone in the Western world, you the way that you've probably seen it is horoscopes in a magazine or Leigh/@followtheleighder: Yeah. Right. Anak Rabanál: You know, your friend is talking about like, ⁓ I got co-star. What's your birth date and time? Like, let me look you up, right? So the entry is usually in this kind of Myers-Briggs personality type, like navel gazing. Let me look at that. And that is a very valid and wonderful way to use astrology because you can there are layers and you can dig and dig and dig, and you can use it that way, right? And I I'll talk really quickly. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Right. Anak Rabanál: I'll give you like the preview of like all of the uses of the technology, and then I'll dial into the ones that are the most ⁓ accessible for someone just starting to understand it, right? So there's that. There's like understanding me, the people in my life, and the dynamics of those relationships, right? Like that, there's this bucket. Then there's understanding time and Like how I'm getting affected by these people and the world and time and what that is. And so that's a lot of the predictive astrology that you'll you'll see like in a written horoscope or like on an app, right? Like, you know, it'll be like, ⁓ today, like, you know, go and lie in bed because otherwise you're gonna get in all these fights, right? Like, so there's that. But then there's also understand like using it to actually get a 360-degree view. Of your life in time, which is challenges people to get out of their egoic, ⁓ it that's when you start using it as a spiritual tool for co-creation, right? Because you're getting out of that egoic, very like short-term, like and I don't say that with judgment, but like very like it's me and I'm looking out in the world and that's all there is. And then you realize it's me, but I have this all of this other life is taking a Leigh/@followtheleighder: Mm-hmm. Anak Rabanál: Place around me, and like, you know, this is this is how other people see me. This is how like my actions actually ripple through the world. This is how the world actually is happening to me. Like all of those things you can use that. And then there's like the fun stuff, like figuring out what horse is gonna win the race, what stock to pick. Like these financial astrologers are making like bank now because they're you're able to use the chart, not only a person's individual chart. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Yeah. Mm-hmm. Anak Rabanál: But you can use the chart. Like everything has a chart. Literally, like you go buy toilet paper right now, that toilet paper has a chart. Like everything can have a chart, right? Everything has an inception point as it becomes, you know, it is like quantum physics. It is an inception point at the point it is perceived, right? And then that has that that stretches back in time to the causality of that inception point and out through time, even past. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Mm-hmm. Okay. Right. Anak Rabanál: It's like, you know, it's conscious user life, right? And that has like this is why for some people, I'm this is a total tangent. I don't know why, but it's like pinging to me to say, that's why some people resonate to certain artists or certain points in history or certain figures in history more, because that person's chart still lives. And that person's chart, when your perception meets it, affects you and affects your placements and creates a resonance that's Leigh/@followtheleighder: Got it. Mm. Anak Rabanál: Pulling out for you to like become conscious of, right? So it's so if you're just beginning, most people know their birthday and they can find a chart somewhere to tell what sun sign they are. But the sun is very little, a very little bit. So you can go on, like, you know, yeah, like I'm not poo-pooing any of the apps. I think they're great gateways into it. The only place I I tell people right now, Simba, that is the dark place, do not go, is talking to AI. Because I've got all these people that go go like, ⁓ Anog, I took that thing that you were telling me about and I asked chat about it. And I'm like, literally like. Not because I want you to book a reading, but like that's dangerous talk because you don't actually know the techniques of how like to delineate, right? So that's the only place I I'm telling people, don't go join the AI psychosis. Don't go ask chat about your chart, but use the apps, the most important things when you're starting out. Leigh/@followtheleighder: ⁓ Right. Right. Yeah. Anak Rabanál: To understand, are your sun sign, because the sun is the divine light that you carry in you, and you're being called in this lifetime to share, to shine, to pull out the light from other people, right? So it's the first thing to look at. Second thing to look at is what is my moon sign? Because your moon sign, and I'll talk about this later, but your moon sign is your programming around safety. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Mm. Anak Rabanál: And it it actually correlates very directly to your nervous system and how your neuronal programming registers homeostasis and sends out signals for your behavior to restore that homeostasis. So that creates that can create feedback loops, right? That can like that creates emotional cycles. So what feels familiar and safe because you survived it as a prelingual being, as a baby. may not work when you're 36, 36, you know, like may not work when you're older. And you you wind up going like, why am I continually in this like emotional loop of like trying to get my needs met and blah, blah, blah. So that's the moon. The moon tells you. Then the other thing which requires a little bit more digging is figuring out your moon phase. So were you born at a full moon, a crescent moon, a waning moon, a waxing moon? Because that that will show you The relationship of the sun and the moon, how these two ⁓ energies combine in you and create a kind of life pattern. It creates a story that until you are conscious that that's the story you keep living, you will kind of go along those lines, right? And then ⁓ the last thing is understanding what your rising sign is, because the rising sign shows you. What you are consciously looking for in the world. And I think I mentioned this to you when I was looking at your chart, which is the rising sign in the way that I define ego is the ego. It's the thing that comes to planet Earth, to you know, our earthly vacation and is like, this is what we're gonna do, like on vacation. So it's like looking, you know, it's it's the confirmation bias. It's looking for all the things in the environment and the relationships and like whatnot to fulfill what that vacation is gonna be like. Leigh/@followtheleighder: This is Anak Rabanál: Right, which might be very different from what the moon is perceiving for safety and what the sun is trying to do. So understanding these three things, and then this is where, like, you know, you don't want to go to an astrology, you want to stick to your apps, you want to stick to just kind of like, you know, lurking, which is safe at this point, because going to an astrology is sometimes super intense. It's read for these three signs, right? So read firstly for your Leigh/@followtheleighder: Right. Yeah. Anak Rabanál: As your rising sign or ascendant sign. And because that's the point, just technically technically speaking, for everyone out there, that's the degree and sign on the eastern horizon the moment you were born. So it is is considered your inception. It's considered like the first moment on the planet. And interestingly enough, I read for like ⁓ Leigh/@followtheleighder: Hmm. Anak Rabanál: Astrophysicist a couple of weeks ago and he was he's like like obsessed with astrology and I'm like, ⁓ thank god, like you know, like this scientist is obsessed with astrology. And he was like saying that like that moment you first draw breath is the first moment that like gravitational pull affects your molecules. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Mm-hmm. Whoa. Anak Rabanál: Like that you are conscious of gravitational pull affecting your molecules. And then that's and he was like talking, he was explaining to me, I can't even claim this. It's like it's my client like like elucidating, like you know, like like illuminating me during a reading. I was like, ⁓ my god, I should pay you. I should be paying you for this session. But like he was like saying that like that that the that gravitational pull, especially when you're a baby, is key informing your neuronal pathways. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Right. Anak Rabanál: And hence like forming how you are interfacing with this, the real world, the physical world, right? So that's your rising sun. Read that. Those horoscopes will tell you what actually is going on. Are you getting married? Are you breaking up? Are you getting a new job? Are you moving the house? Like all of these things. That rising sun, like horoscope, will tell you that. Read the moon horoscope, that's gonna tell you how we feel about what's going on. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Yeah. Anak Rabanál: Cause I you'll see this a lot. Like, especially if somebody's moon sign doesn't see their rising like their rising sign, th they can feel emotionally disconnected from their life. Like I I see people like this and like they're living amazing lives. All of us are like, ⁓ my God, you are winning. And they're going home every night and crying because they're miserable. So the moon sign will tell you how you're feeling about what's going on. And then the sun sign will show you how you are trying to like how you are being called to Leigh/@followtheleighder: Hmm. Anak Rabanál: shine in whatever, like whatever it in terms of the transits and all of that stuff, that will also teach you. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Mm. Anak Rabanál: how you are trying to affect the world and what ⁓ toys and blocks you have to play with. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Hmm. Yeah. Anak Rabanál: So that's like that's the primer. That's like if anything if anybody walks away from this and they want to start playing, play with those things first. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Well, thank you for giving the explanation of of what these three things are because it starts getting into houses and then it's like and I you know, I thought it was just planets and moons. It's not. You've got all sorts of stuff on the charts and ⁓ there's backstories and mythologies and their be like and I went through something a while back where I mean the zodiac read me. Like I was like that That's it. That's exactly what happened. I mean, to a T, like major things collapsing, different points of view on things, relationships ending. Like it was just so ⁓ there there's just I mean, there's there's just something real to it. And I'm really excited to to connect my listeners to you. Can you kind of explain? ⁓ mainly this is a little tongue in cheek, but kind of not. Why does it always feel like Mercury is in met retrograde? I I I hear I see that a lot online. And Anak Rabanál: Okay. ⁓ my god. Of all of all of the pl I mean like it's very on brand for Mercury to like have like hogging the spotlight, so to speak. So like in like in Hindu astrology, like, you know, the planets compose what's called a planetary cabinet and the Mercury is the the the prince waiting to be king, right? Like he's so he's this little princeling that's running around learning his job. getting into all sorts of like troubles. That's like one version of him. Right. So Mercury is, if we think about like what Mercury does as a planet, right? Mercury is how we bridge the inside and external, the interior and external worlds. That's why it rules communication. Because what is communication? It's like literally we need we need to communicate because we need to get something from the inside to the outside. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Got it. Anak Rabanál: Right? That's what Mercury is like a, you know, ⁓ his like mythol mythological figure in in Western mythology and especially Greek mythology, is a psychopomp. He is that the the one that that goes between two worlds, right? But Mercury also rules commerce, systems, transactions, like you know, travel like short distance traveling in in in certain respects, right? So just think about it. Just think about like your computer, like. You can be on autopilot, like things are just going like, you know, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding. Like I'm just going through my day on autopilot. And you can be missing steps, right? And so you need to scrub. I mean, like, you know, in the old days when you just had to like manually scrub your like computer of like, you know, old things that didn't need to be in the RAM, right? So Mercury goes retrograde four times a year. So we think like the way that I like to tell people it's a quarterly cleanup, right? And When it goes retrograde, you're meant to rethink all of those things. You're ne you're meant to find what's not working in your system. And how does that happen? It breaks. Right? Because you were just using it. You were just going. Like you didn't notice that. And a lot of the times if you listen to that slowdown, it's protective. Because Mercury is a is a is a beneficent planet. It's a planet that, for the most part, unless he's got some things going on with him, he is trying to do nice things. Right, so this is you know, like I see people that like Leigh/@followtheleighder: Hmm. Anak Rabanál: There was a guy like that I knew that like he broke his leg in a ⁓ motorcycle accident, right? Goes to the hospital for the leg and they find like a growth, like a cancerous growth. And it was like one of these things, well, it's good breaker. You broke your leg and you finally went and got that thing looked at because you were just gonna leave it there for it to then suddenly be like a real problem, right? ⁓ so Leigh/@followtheleighder: Right. Right. Right. Anak Rabanál: It's just a little thing. And the thing that I always tell people is like when Mercury's retrograde, it's such a good excuse to just be slow. Like, ⁓ I'll get back to you. And it's a good like any planetary retrograde is a good time. Because like right now, Saturn just went retrograde last week. Actually, Saturn went retro, yeah, like on on ⁓ Saturn went retrograde on Sunday. So the outer planets, they're retrograde for months at a time. Like the these are not like weird things. The like the ones that like really hit us are like Venus. Venus is going retrograde later this year in a place in the zodiac she doesn't like to be in. she'll be retrograding through Scorpio back into ⁓ Libra and Venus when she's in Scorpio, she's like rocking some like black leather and finding herself in dark alleys doing unspeakable things. Or just scaring the shit out of people. And then she's, you know, she's she's somewhere there. And then she's go, she has to come back into Libra and like, you know, deal with like, ⁓ before we get to the kink, we actually should have like safety words and like a real relationship, maybe. so we have and Mars will be going retrograde. So all of these retrogrades, right, to go back to the Mercury, they're just meant to help you revisit skip steps or bring things back so you can reconsider. And then if you just Leigh/@followtheleighder: Okay. Anak Rabanál: Really quickly as a technical note, it's all an illusion. No planets go retrograde. It is, it's because of the relationship of the Earth's orbit to the planet. So sometimes the Earth will get ahead of a planet, so it starts to look like it's going behind the Earth. And ⁓ and so it looks bigger in the sky when it's retrograde. And then it they sink back up, and then it looks like the planet. So it's all an illusion. It's like literally all an optical illusion. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Huh. Yeah. Uh-huh. Anak Rabanál: That is meant to, you know, it's like experiencing art. It's meant to make you think about something. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Yeah. ⁓ and I love what you said about that. These things aren't just doing this to wreak havoc for the sake of it. Right. Like you said, they're that the broken leg and and it it it it's or like you said, the the the broken leg or the the dark leather or the the leather in the dark alley. Yeah, like these sort of like we sink back into these behaviors because we haven't looked at them, we haven't addressed them, we haven't Anak Rabanál: Mm-hmm. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Whatever it is. And and I really liked how you said you just keep moving forward with life. And if you if you don't look at behaviors and look at things, then like the stars will make you. And I think that's really, really special. Can you without going too deep, but can you explain what the houses are and and or even I houses the zodiac ⁓ types just High level again, I know we could go deep, but I'm just so curious. Anak Rabanál: Yes, we can so I can I can actually do this without going too deep on it. So the houses, if you want to imagine your birth chart as a compound, right? So each house is a part of the property and represents there are 12 of them. Each represents an area of life and ⁓ also They're each house is ruled by a planet. Some planets rule two houses. The sun and the moon only rule one because they only rule one sign. ⁓ And those, if you think of those as like kind of the landlord or the you know manager of the house that they own, but they might be somewhere else. So like if we just think about that in terms of just the archaeol like the architecture of it, right? Like you could own a property like in a a different state. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Mm. Anak Rabanál: And that, like, you know, like, and you might have a tenant that lives there that you like or you don't like, and that influences how well the tenant is able to live in that house and do their thing and get the resources they need to like resource the how the places that they own, right? So it's like if you think about that, it's like and the other thing that I want to tell people is that and and you especially is that most of the time, contrary to Leigh/@followtheleighder: Right. Anak Rabanál: Psychology-based astrology, most planets just represent a person in your life. And they represent a relationship that asks you a certain question of you through the course of your life, right? And then in terms of the zodiac high level, there are 12 signs. ⁓ I'll I'll recite them quickly because I can do that, hopefully, unless my pair unless my perimenopause brain like kicks in, right? So the zodiac starts at Aries. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Hm. Yeah, please. Anak Rabanál: So Aries, Taurus, Gemini, and then so that's the spring season. Those are the spring. ⁓ if you're in the northern hemisphere, those are the spring signs, right? And they tend to have very spring like themes. Then we start summer with Cancer, Leo, Virgo. Those summer Virgo is at the end when we start to go, like, ⁓ let's like, you know, harvest some. Right, and then we have the fall signs, which are Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius. And those are all about preparing for the winter, preparing for hibernation and all of the things to do with that, right? And then we have the winter signs where everything goes to die figuratively, right? So ⁓ Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces. And then it starts all over again, right? So if you look at, you know, seasonal birth theory, these signs also like track to what like a baby, how a baby would have been treated during that that time of year, right? ⁓ and then they also have a s, you know, like there's the there's a theory where like the soul walks the this 12, 12-fold path, and each thing goes through it, and you you experience all of the themes of each one. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Really? Yeah. That is so it's it's beautiful how much work has been done on I mean it it's a whole world. It is so deep in and and and just so much to learn. And I understand like how just being a 16-year-old girl, you got so pulled in, just and especially with the hands, like handwriting the the calculations for all of this. That's really it's it's a lot. I know you mentioned earlier in this this conversation, you talked about the great reset. And I really want to talk about that. What is what is the great reset? Is our country and the world? There's gotta be something in the stars about all this, right? Like it feels a little chaotic. Please tell us that the stars are aware that this is chaotic. Anak Rabanál: This so the great reset is what I'm calling it. Other astrologers are calling it many other things. I joke about like trademarking the great reset because I'm like I saw somebody else like the other day post we're in the reset and I was like, I kind of like great reset better. But so I'm gonna preface this with you it for my money, I'm looking at different timing systems. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Okay. Anak Rabanál: Right. So in Chinese metaphysics, we're in a Chinese metaphysics, especially Feng Shui and Flying Star Feng Shui, breaks time in up into 180-year cycles and 20-year cycles ⁓ per ⁓ period. So they're nine periods, right? And two years ago, we entered what's called period nine, the last of the 180-year cycle. And period nine is it translates, I'm not gonna say it in the Chinese because my Chinese ancestors will roll over in their graves and curse me. ⁓ but it's it translates to the middle sister. So it is, it it symbolizes a time where the masculine has reached its like apogee, right? The masculine is as f it's filled up all that white space in the yin yang. And so that that black seed now has to like grow because there's nothing else for the where for that to go. So during the age of the Middle Sister, women, especially middle-aged women, older women, are called to step forward and shepherd both humanity and the planet. And you know, technology is becomes something. The technology that's developed during period nines tends to be technology that integrates us with each other and the planet in. A a bigger way, right? So that's the first key of what I'm calling the great reset. Like we're in this rise, not only of women, but the feminine, right? The the the parts of us that are receptive, the parts of us that ⁓ have discernment, the parts of us that are responsible for choosing what grows, right? So this relates back to Leigh/@followtheleighder: Right. Anak Rabanál: Right now, all of the outer planets. So outer planets are Jupiter, ⁓ Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto. And some would argue the nodes of the moon, but those are mathematical points. They're not actually planets, but they get they can be treated as such. Right? This is the first time in quite some time. And when I tell you the other time that this happened, this is where I feel like Leigh, you're gonna like light at So this is the first time in a really long time starting Sunday, starting this past Sunday, where all of the outer planets are in the Western system masculine signs. So masculine signs are Aries, Leo, Sagittarius, Gemini, Libra, Aquarius. So those are those are the six, everybody else is a lady. Those are all the gents, right? So we've got these outer planets. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Yeah. Hm. Yeah. Anak Rabanál: They're gonna be there from J ⁓ July 27th of this year until next July 27th. That's a whole year of these. And people have been talking about Barbot's basket. Like, you know, this is the clickbait. I'm not like Barbot did actually do like amazing research and work, but like it got turned Pop Astro turned it into this whole like, ⁓ my God, Barbot's basket. And it's like, ⁓ my God, it's a bigger story than that, but okay. So Leigh/@followtheleighder: Well. Anak Rabanál: The last time we had all of the outer planets, including the pl the the nodes of the moon, in one gender, which was the feminine gender, was December second, twenty nineteen to march twenty first, twenty twenty. So that was a call to rebalance the feminine. That was a call that and what happened to all of us, we got sent to the most feminine place possible. Got sent home, essentially, right? Like everybody, regardless of gender, wound up at home having to contemplate their feminine, having to contemplate how do I connect? How do I receive? How do I Leigh/@followtheleighder: Yeah. Yeah. Anak Rabanál: Sit in vulnerability and cope with being vulnerable, right? Like during that time, even though like you know it didn't last all through COVID, it didn't last all through lockdown, but it was the inciting moment, they were the inciting, it took a quarter to be like, okay, everybody go home. So now we're in this, okay, so we're in this larger feminine cycle, but now we've got everything in a masculine sign, right? And that is now being like, we need to rebalance the masculine. We need to all of us, regardless of gender, how do you provision that which you love? How do you provision your community, your family, the people, you know, your your closest partnership, right? What how do you actually exert your energy and what are you exerting your energy towards? And that better be stability, because the masculine is designed to create stability. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Hmm. Right. Anak Rabanál: Right? Because think about it. Like even if we think about the masculine body, it's meant to be hard. Yeah, don't build on a soft, like body that's got like curves and like, you know, like fat stores and like whatnot. That dances on the masculine. So in order for this feminine period to rise, it's got to be able to dance on something. And right now, that masculine and all of us, in all of us, is out of balance. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Right. Anak Rabanál: Too much hustling, too much burnout, too much like casting all your energy everywhere. Investing yourself in work that is not meaning-giving, right? That's the that's the like one of the biggest things. It's like like if you're, you know, plugging away, you're putting it, you're investing your energy into something, it's gotta be something that you are excited to see grow. Like this is like even in relationships, right? Like if if you Leigh/@followtheleighder: Hmm. Anak Rabanál: The two aren't into each other, like that's not gonna great create a great family, right? That's not gonna create like a great like shoot into the future that's like you know, like pass on that family dysfunction. Yay. But now, like as a society, we are like as a civilization navigating a fulcrum of are we getting to the other side if we look at like what's going on in the climate, just in our relationship to planet Earth, right, as a species. We've gotta get it together. And that's kind of what this is doing. And like, you know, like, you know, there are like what I called the four horsemen of the great reset, which happened, you know, the first one was in ⁓ the Mars Cosimi in January. Don't ask me to quote the dates, everybody, because I've got it somewhere online, but brain is mere po brain is mere carry menopausal and she's not gonna pull that stuff out, right? So the first was the Mars Cosumi. What are you building? What is the legacy you're leaving behind, both as a civilization and as a person? Then the second was Uranus finally getting out of Taurus. ⁓ my god, my poor Taurian friends. Since 2018, Taurus has been there taking everything, even as a country. If we look at as a country and as a civilization, Taurus represents banks. What has been happening since 2018? Taurus is like, you know, the that cousin that shows up at three in the morning, rips your house out. Right? And like Taurus has been, like, like Uranus has been doing that before Taurus. And Taurus doesn't like it. Uranus isn't Gemini. Gemini loves the chaos. Like, we're gonna see some things happening there with technology and going back to analog and finding new and crazy ways to connect with each other that have nothing to do with how we've ever done it before, right? But Taurus loves everything to be like. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Mm-hmm. Anak Rabanál: Look at you, you are such a Taurus rising. I I hope it's okay to share that. But like you're like cozy, it and it's even earth colored, like you know, like Taurus wants, you know, like its comforts. It wants to like know that, you know, like the the harvest is gonna be okay, we're gonna be able to eat dinner at five o'clock. You know, like these are like and Uranus is like, we have no schedule, we have no plan. So like since like 2018, the ways that we farm, the ways that we relate to our food. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Yeah. Yeah. Anak Rabanál: You know, like all of these things that's like been shaken up. So Taurus, it finally moved out of there. The Taurus is finally like everybody with Taurian placements, including myself, could be like, ⁓ my god, thank God. Like literally, like, but now it's in Gemini. Now it's like saying, like, okay, like I've I've shown you that the way that you resource yourself is not great. So now it's in Gemini, where it's like, well, how like you need to change how you move what's inside to the outside. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Mm. Anak Rabanál: In a way that is actually authentic, in a way that you're actually able to get those needs met in a way that's aligned with everything, right? Because Gemini is the sign of it's like, yes, the twins, but like in older astrology, it's the lovers. It's it's the it's the the the sh the other self that shows you the 360 of you, right? So that's so then the third one. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Mm. Thank you for that. I didn't know that about Gemini. Anak Rabanál: You're welcome. And then ⁓ yeah, Gemini is it's it's easy. It's like I I I'm fascinated with Geminis, but I have a chart that, you know, it like likes the chaos. ⁓ Geminis are always trying to try on different identities to f to have to see if the one that they know is them comes out. So it's like that's why some people like like don't vibe because they're like, You don't even know who you are. And it's like, Well, I'm I'm trying to know who I am by being with you. And you're like, Leigh/@followtheleighder: Uh-huh. ⁓ okay. Anak Rabanál: Just a mirror. But ⁓ and then the third one, the biggest one, the one that Barbot actually was obsessed with, was that Saturn and Neptune both moved into Aries at the same time and they met at what's called the Aries point, which is zero degree degrees Aries, which is considered the birth of civil that is where civilization is born, that is where humanity took its first breath, right? And if you look, it's like it correlates to the spring. Equinox, where the the zero point is, and all these things, right? So Saturn coming together with Neptune is civilization changing and it's reset making. Because if you look at what is Aries, Aries is being an individual, it rules that moment that you've out of the womb, and the fire of air comes into your lungs, right? Like if you think of like that's why it's an air sign, because if you think about a baby, like that. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Yeah. Anak Rabanál: It's not like ⁓ yeah, I you're like, ⁓ safest place it could possibly be in. It was like warm and safe. It didn't have to worry about like ordering dinner and blah blah blah. And now it's out, it's in the air. It's burning. It's burning with the air, right? So set so Aries is being Leigh/@followtheleighder: Right. Yeah. Anak Rabanál: Conscious that you are not, that you are on your own, that you were. This is why Aries, like they're the FF. ⁓ I can't say it because I know, like, you know, they do something to find out. They FA to find out. Yes. So ⁓ that's the whole sign. It's it's it's a sign where like people with moon in Aries, just to sh throw that out to people out there. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Yes. F around and find out. Yeah. Anak Rabanál: They they feel safe when they're around people that don't expect them to be perfect, that allow them to figure it out, to make mistakes, right? So that's Aries, right? And so Saturn hates to be here because Saturn Saturn's happy place is Libra, because it knows all the rules, it knows what's expected of it, it's got a partner, it can't like, you know, it's it's it's got a buddy, and like in Aries, it's like, Leigh/@followtheleighder: Mm-hmm. Anak Rabanál: Okay, so you need to make mistakes. I mean, like, think about like your most type A friend that, like, you know, follows all the rules, like is just fair to a point, and it's like, what? I'm supposed to be selfish now? Like, I'm supposed to like make mistakes and like deal with my consequences. So all those people that are like 29 going on 30, welcome to your Saturn return, welcome to being okay with not being perfect. I have I So many clients right now that are like turning 30 and they're like, I don't understand. And I was like, because why don't you make a mistake and see what happens? No, I can't do it, right? So, but in humanities, it's like suddenly like, ⁓ crap, I'm accountable. I'm accountable for everything I contribute to this group, right? And then Neptune is like, my joke with Neptune is he can either be your ayahuasca shaman. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Mm. Right. Anak Rabanál: That shows you the way to like, you know, your inner and outer God, or you can be your neighborhood drug dealer. They do both the same thing. They get you high like a kite so you can see beyond what this reality is, but then you have to come back down to Earth, right? For both of these. So that's going through Aries. And this is the big reset because it is dissolving ego. So we are being called as a collective to dissolve ego. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Yeah. Mm-hmm. Anak Rabanál: To dissolve this idea that we've had that this is what civilization needs to look like. And Saturn is actually a saving grace here, even though it's the planet that doesn't like to be here, because it's saying like you need to have the structures in place to be able to be able to step into this, right? Like you have to have the bones, you've got to have the architecture, you've got to re- tear down everything that isn't working right now, and you need to rebuild from a place of I Leigh/@followtheleighder: Mm. Hmm. Anak Rabanál: hate to like use this word because it's overused in this day and age, but it's got to be a place of authenticity. And by authenticity, I mean self-knowledge. Because I was I was just talking to somebody today. I was like, you know, when I was in finance, I didn't mind it as much when I was working with the guys that knew they were just being greedy. But like they were like, I'm probably gonna go to hell, but I'm having fun right now. And they knew it, right? Like they weren't trying to dress like they weren't trying to slap lipstick on a pig. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Mm. Mm-hmm. Anak Rabanál: And be like, ⁓ like this is gonna help the, you know, the economy somewhere down the line, or like, you know, this is gonna help like people, blah, blah, blah. It's like, no, guy, you just want to like get yourself that like, you know, Bugatti Charron and like have a little fun in the Maldives and please own it, versus like, ⁓ but so now this is like we're being asked to like, let's be authentic this way. Let's be like this is who we are. Because, you know, like Leigh/@followtheleighder: Right. Right. Yes. Anak Rabanál: Just the other big thing, and I'll wrap this up because I know I'm talking too much, but like the big thing that we're being asked to do is it's that self honesty, that self awareness that is open to being wrong and learning, right? Like, if it like I like to say, if you're the smartest person in the room, you're in the wrong way. Leigh/@followtheleighder: No. Okay. Right. Absolutely. Mm-hmm. Anak Rabanál: Right. And like that's what this is asking for. This is also asking, like, for people to be honest, like, do you like earning them? Like, we all need money because it is a it is a like it is a social fiction of exchanging trust with each other. But the way that you earn that trust is it in a way that you know you know will set up your descendants five generations from now for success. Right? Like Leigh/@followtheleighder: Right. Mm. Anak Rabanál: It it's like thinking beyond whilst being like fully embodied. And that's the that's the big ⁓ my god, like you know, and then all this stuff, no more kings. I could like go like off on that forever, because it's not necessarily no kings, right? It's about who are you delegating your sovereignty to, and in a way that allows you to step into your own sovereignty, right? Because there's got to be a head. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Mm. Anak Rabanál: That's just the way that like we live in a dualistic. I mean, like maybe some people out there will will ⁓ disagree with me, but we live in a dualistic universe. Unless, you know, some of you are like the Buddha and you've like seen beyond, you're the quitset's haterach and you see all time, then thank you for listening. But if you're not, you know, we still need an authority. Your body still needs a consciousness that's telling it to like go drink some water, right? But it's who and Leigh/@followtheleighder: Yeah. Anak Rabanál: How that authority shows up. And that's what's being stripped away is all of that kind of egoic, like this, you know, you all exist for me. And it's like, well, you know, if the sun, the sun is actually a very rare star. Most stars out there, I get, you know, if I'm reading the news correctly, don't have a bunch of like satellites. The, you know, the sun is the only one that's got friends. Everybody else is like out there on their own. So it's like, Leigh/@followtheleighder: Mm. Anak Rabanál: Well then I guess like you know, in like a couple billion years or however many, you're gonna eat all of us. But until then, you need to play nicely. Like you know, it's the you can't you can't be a king unless you're taking care of your people. You can't be a queen unless you're taking care of like your people, right? Like your whole function is to take care of them and the exchanges, they take care of you so you can do that because they're doing other things. They're good at other things. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Right, right. Anak Rabanál: You know, so that's the big re that's the great reset, like in general for us, but like for each of us, it is asking different things. And then the last of the the the four horsemen is the one that started for some astrologers. ⁓ like there is a lot of like there's a lot of play here, but for some astrologers started on the twenty-seventh, for others will be August eighteenth. And that's the one where like we for like the next eighteen months have to focus on Leigh/@followtheleighder: ⁓ Anak Rabanál: Hum like How do we move forward as humanity in terms of how do we create structures that people can bring their genius into in a way that challenges them to be like the best version of themselves whilst benefiting others? So you we might see a lot of economic change. We might see a lot of change in how like companies are structured or like how you know we're able to ⁓ exchange money, exchange trust. So that's the great reset. Enjoy everyone. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Yeah. Fun is something but but what it sounds like like you said, it's a call for authentic authenticity. And that has been I I am a genuine authentic person. That's not the but what I have found, like, you know, you talking about these things in the last few years, is like Anak Rabanál: It's gonna be fun. Leigh/@followtheleighder: You know, when things st when when towers and pedestals start collapsing and you start asking yourself who you are without these relationships or without this job or without this whatever the thing is, ⁓ it really did force me to look at myself and be like, I don't actually like or I I know myself, but I'm not asking the right questions. I'm not touching the right part of her. Like I there is a whole side I'm I'm I'm missing something and I'm still like very much like learning in day by day what that looks like. But it is going back to your point, like you authenticity as self knowledge. So thank you for that poignant, poignant remark. Ken I know that we're about out of time, but can you please let folks know ⁓ how they can reach you, how they can book you, how, you know. I mean you have dropped a a a wealth of knowledge on us today and I do hope you come back, but please, where where can folks folks find you in the meantime? Anak Rabanál: So if you'd like the waffle, I am on threads. And in threads is where it all like kind of the what I like to say is like little unfiltered brain vomit comes out. So like the most like you're gonna get the observations in real time. And that's at the practical astrologer as well. And ⁓ Instagram at thepractical Astrologer, ⁓ my website, ikadia.com, A-I-K-A-D-E-A.com. And then ⁓ my friend Allie, who is the founder of this amazing wellness actuary here in Bozeman, and I are currently developing and planning a retreat called Moon in Me that's gonna be on the full moon on October 10th. And ⁓ it is meant to address the whole thing I was saying about the moon, where you know it's addressing the patterns around ⁓ safety, nervous system. We're gonna look at it from an astrological point of view. And also Allie is going to bring the breathwork, somatic, sound, physical embodiment reset ⁓ part of it. And hopefully by the end of it, you will leave feeling like you understand better. so that you can live more aligned and in tune and in rhythm with what's available to you energetically. Because you know it's a the whole like burnout thing. Like when your moon is out, like when you're not understanding your moon, you can sometimes live in this burnout place or you can sometimes live in this like loop, this loop that you know, really high achieving people, like you know, people that think about their lives, probably like you know, the people that are listening to this right now, Leigh/@followtheleighder: Uh-huh. Anak Rabanál: You're great at analyzing yourself. You can sit there and journal and like spot all your patterns and like know all the things, but not have that tool that gets you over to the other side of like where you realize I need to go. Right. And that is a that is a mind, spirit, body, you know, connection issue. So we're gonna be exploring that on. So if that sounds cool to you. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Mm-hmm. Amen. Anak Rabanál: Join the wait list to get like the first, you know, like we we are keeping it small because ⁓ we are going to take into account everybody's charts and make sure it's like you know a group that is going to resonate with each other. So, you know, get on get on the list. ⁓ it is also on my my website. And I'll send you the link too if that helps directly to the to the event. And that's it. That's where you can find me. Book me on my website if you have any questions, because Leigh/@followtheleighder: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Anak Rabanál: ⁓ it might I'm still working like you know, like 20 years in and I'm still working out like what that looks like, but that's not my that's not my jam. ⁓ but the thing with astrology also to tell people is it is a long-term ⁓ it is a a technology that you use over time. So, you know, it's not like coming and getting your reading done, like it'll it cracks open a door, but like to do the work. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Right. ⁓ huh. Anak Rabanál: To like, you know, like we had what, like 15 minutes with each other and we literally I like literally just scratched the surface of like what was going on and not going like you know beyond that. So ⁓ that's the long of the short of it. You like this has been amazing. I'm like I and and like I I know I talk a lot, thank like you know, like I don't know like it's good or bad, it's a very Leo Mercury thing. It just is a five year old that says points everything out. I still do it, it's it's awful. Like Leigh/@followtheleighder: Mm-hmm. Right. Anak Rabanál: You know, when I'm directing a movie, they're like, Can you please just keep your hands in the car? And I'm like ⁓ my God. So that's it. Leigh/@followtheleighder: No. I love Leo's. ⁓ but ⁓ Well no, this has been fantastic. I really I think you and I can talk more offline, but about you coming on like quarterly and just like being kind of our go to person to tell us this season, like what's going on. ⁓ because it does it it does and for folks whether you know, where you fall on this, I find a lot of comfort. Like and I said sort of this in the earlier in the the conversation, like it's comforting to me to know that the stars know that my country is behaving the way my country is behaving. And like that's I'm like, okay. So like in the same way that I feel comforted when ⁓ you know, there's turbulence on an airplane and the pilot's like, hey I'm aware of it. And you're like, okay, as long as you are, hey, then I'm just gonna sit back. ⁓ not sit back, we we we show up, but you know what I mean. It's just ⁓ so thank you. I hope some folks also got a smile out of that of like, you know what? Anak was right. The stars, the stars, this whole COVID thing, this is the whole thing. There's something to be said. Anak Rabanál: ⁓ my God. Well, the last I I want to leave you guys with two dates to watch. So we have an eclipse on August 12th, and that's a new moon eclipse in Leo. So in the wherever Leo is in your chart, when you go look it up, there's gonna be something that just finally ends that you've been trying to end in that place. Where whether it's something where, you know, you've been trying to sh to shine your creativity or like be more like Leigh/@followtheleighder: Okay. Anak Rabanál: playful in your life or have sovereignty, some kind of blockage that's been there is going to like eclipses are very difficult to predict, but they're sudden endings, right? It's especially solar eclipses. They they eclipse you so you go, ⁓ my God, that's my ego that's been trying to do that thing that needs to go away. Right. ⁓ in terms of the real world, it usually means something like is revealed about ⁓ a leader or leadership or or something like that, especially in Leo. And think back to February 17th, because that is its it was its partner. That was something showing you like, ⁓ this is what we need to start doing in in the Aquarius house. This is where we need to start finding connection. This is where we need to start finding parity, right? Like if I'm just talking about like big picture, not just even in your life, but it's kind of like Who are my people? Like February 17th probably ended something, and you were like, I need to find the people that see me for me, right? And then August 28th or 29th, depending on where you are in the dateline, ⁓ that will be the final eclipse in the Virgo Pisces cycle, and it's in Pisces, it's in early Pisces. So stuff that happened, I'm gonna say like between March and May will finally, anything that was like, There were little tremors there, especially with great eclipse stuff. We might finally see like what that looks like in in real life. But for all of you out there that have Pisces, Virgo, Gemini, Sagittarius placements, or wherever this lands in your chart, this is your it's a full moon eclipse. Everything, the hero's journey that you've been on for the last 18 months is gonna make sense. And that final, like Big thing that needs to come together for you to take all of those lessons and turn them into something will finally show up. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Okay. Anak Rabanál: In unexpected ways. It's eclipses. So you might see it, you might have seen it as early as July, and you might see it as late as September. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Fantastic. Anak Rabanál: So have fun with that and don't go expose yourself to the baleful rays. Don't go look at the eclipse. I know like this is I am sounding like a Asian grandma, but like best to not be under the baleful rays. Leigh/@followtheleighder: Okay. Well, folks, I am just absolutely floored. Thank you, Anak, for for your time today. I hope that y'all are feeling the vibes on the other side of the speakers because this is a really good conversation. Like I said, so much more to keep holding back. We've had few different folks from the tarot. ⁓ we've had a Dominican, we had the combat coven, We've had Wiccan and Zodiac, we just this is so great to to hear you, you're hear your knowledge. You clearly have spent your heart and mind and soul on this. And that is why we love to platform it. We we we love passion, we love knowledge, ⁓ we love talking with women too. So huzzah. and and folks, I really hope that y'all go give her a follow, go go learn more about her, maybe just like she said if Going down the rabbit hole is is too woo-woo for you. Figure out those three signs. Like she said, it was the the sun, the rising, and the moon. And and just kind of know what those are. And ⁓ and then while you're there, or while you're at it, make sure you like, follow, subscribe, and comment. Y'all know the drill. 'Cause I still have to pay my bills. So I ⁓ am so excited to get a knock for this. This this has been a great episode. And for folks listening, ⁓ thank you for joining us. My name is Leigh. This has been an episode of Follow the Leader. And until next time, see ya.
