- 0:00Speaker 1: D FW. It's time to welcome Welcome the.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Kill Billy the Kid in the Morning, starring the one
- 0:10Speaker 2: and only Candice Lopez and producer Pooh. Really a Kid
- 0:14Speaker 2: in the Morning, incredible live and logo.
- 0:22Speaker 1: Billy's a Kid in the Morning. A right Wednesday Wednesday bday.
- 0:29Speaker 1: I'll take it all right, I'll take a mid week
- 0:31Speaker 1: Wednesday chair. Why not? It's makes one of two point nine.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Good morning, Billy the Kid. Cannon, Sloan Pez is here,
- 0:37Speaker 1: producer Pooh is here, and hopefully you are well. And
- 0:40Speaker 1: may Somber's in full of fact. I went to my
- 0:41Speaker 1: son's school yesterday.
- 0:43Speaker 3: I'm glad you made it.
- 0:44Speaker 1: Yeah, I had a race over there because of course
- 0:45Speaker 1: he tells me last minute. Oh right, you know. He's
- 0:47Speaker 1: so when you get in eighth grade, you're too cool
- 0:49Speaker 1: for your parents. Then every once in a while he'll
- 0:52Speaker 1: be like, hey, dad, you might want to come by
- 0:54Speaker 1: and we're doing like a parent thing today if you want.
- 0:57Speaker 1: It's cruel, but it'd be cool if you did. Yeah,
- 0:59Speaker 1: And I was like, oh today, yeah, I'm like, oh,
- 1:02Speaker 1: well you didn't tell me. Okay, I'm on my way.
- 1:03Speaker 1: So I race out there and it was so much fun.
- 1:06Speaker 1: It was cool to see his you know, last couple
- 1:08Speaker 1: of days of eighth grade.
- 1:10Speaker 4: So sad though, yeah, I can't even imagine.
- 1:13Speaker 1: I don't even know why I'm so sad because it's
- 1:15Speaker 1: not like he's graduated high school, just going into high school.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Big transition is a big transition. So I was excited.
- 1:20Speaker 1: But I got to eat lunch with him, and it
- 1:21Speaker 1: just reminded me of how awkward middle school kids are
- 1:25Speaker 1: and how awful school lunches were. He had his little
- 1:29Speaker 1: pizza out there, and just the pizza, even the pizza alone,
- 1:33Speaker 1: it just smells like, yeah, back in the day. No,
- 1:40Speaker 1: And I go, he goes, Dad, I know you want
- 1:42Speaker 1: to try some of the pizza, throwing it back to
- 1:44Speaker 1: the old school. And I go, yeah, just give me
- 1:45Speaker 1: a piece. I want to taste what it tastes like.
- 1:47Speaker 1: It tasted way better than our pizza.
- 1:49Speaker 3: Is oh good.
- 1:50Speaker 1: And some days he was telling me they get Dominoes
- 1:52Speaker 1: what I was like, yeah, they, I don't know, they
- 1:56Speaker 1: get Domino's pizza.
- 1:57Speaker 3: Wow, good for them.
- 1:59Speaker 1: I'm like, this is better than our pizza. He's like, why, go,
- 2:01Speaker 1: I don't even think our pizza was real.
- 2:03Speaker 4: Dope, Yeah, I don't think it was real cheese, that's
- 2:05Speaker 4: for sure.
- 2:05Speaker 1: No, it was square. Yeah, ours was square, and it
- 2:10Speaker 1: was you know, I think it was made on of
- 2:11Speaker 1: like just weird wheat.
- 2:13Speaker 3: And who knows, I have no idea.
- 2:16Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 2:17Speaker 5: But it was fun.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Got to meet his teachers, and you know, some they're
- 2:21Speaker 1: so awesome. Some of his older teachers shout out Miss Lufkin,
- 2:24Speaker 1: she was awesome. She listens, Oh cute. Everybody's super nice
- 2:27Speaker 1: out there. And I had a good time, and all
- 2:29Speaker 1: the kids were very nice. I don't remember kids in
- 2:31Speaker 1: eighth grade being so nice when we were in school.
- 2:34Speaker 3: Okay, but you're a cool dad, you know what I mean.
- 2:37Speaker 4: So they were probably excited to see you.
- 2:41Speaker 3: You're on the radio, you play basketball at.
- 2:43Speaker 1: The wreck, I mean, you know, oh, please stop, Cannas,
- 2:46Speaker 1: keep going.
- 2:47Speaker 3: No, he probably was happy to show you off a
- 2:49Speaker 3: little bit. You know, it was cool for eighth grade.
- 2:52Speaker 1: It was cool. He was doing it his way. You know,
- 2:54Speaker 1: he's not going to show you off. He's going to
- 2:56Speaker 1: just be like, here's my dad. He's around. But that
- 2:59Speaker 1: to me is right. I'm kind of kind of cool
- 3:02Speaker 1: yeah to him still a little bit. Yeah, Canns, how
- 3:05Speaker 1: are you?
- 3:06Speaker 4: I'm okay, but I heard a term yesterday that just
- 3:08Speaker 4: like sent me, and I've like, I haven't stopped thinking
- 3:11Speaker 4: about it since I heard it. Have you heard the
- 3:13Speaker 4: term grand millennial?
- 3:15Speaker 1: No, what is that?
- 3:17Speaker 5: Well?
- 3:17Speaker 4: I think it's like an elder millennial, but it's like
- 3:20Speaker 4: a grand millennial. So I've been fighting in my head
- 3:23Speaker 4: because I always say, you know, I'm an elder millennial.
- 3:25Speaker 3: I'm right at the cusp.
- 3:26Speaker 6: You know.
- 3:27Speaker 3: I did make the cut as.
- 3:28Speaker 4: A millennial, but as elder worse than grand because in
- 3:32Speaker 4: its own grand sounds better.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Actually, you know what, I think grand does some better.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Elder sounds elderly.
- 3:37Speaker 4: Right, But I've gotten so comfortable saying elder millennial that
- 3:40Speaker 4: hearing grand millennial, why do you just see?
- 3:43Speaker 3: Yeah, well you can just say millennial. But then I realize.
- 3:47Speaker 4: Eric comes in from the front porch and brings in
- 3:50Speaker 4: a tomato plant with a note on it, and he
- 3:52Speaker 4: was like, I don't know where this came from. My
- 3:54Speaker 4: friend Emily left me a tomato plant on my porch
- 3:58Speaker 4: with a letter how to keep it because.
- 3:59Speaker 3: I already killed the first one.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, I just thought, God, I.
- 4:03Speaker 3: Am a grand millennial.
- 4:05Speaker 7: Say it.
- 4:07Speaker 1: This is really like it.
- 4:09Speaker 6: So I know.
- 4:12Speaker 4: She just happened to be in my neighborhood. I think
- 4:15Speaker 4: she doesn't live in our neighborhood. It's one of my
- 4:17Speaker 4: baseball mom friends. And so I text her like, did
- 4:20Speaker 4: you do this? I didn't think to check the cameras.
- 4:22Speaker 1: I don't know why I'm jealous of that life. I
- 4:25Speaker 1: gotta say I'm a little bit jealous of just the
- 4:28Speaker 1: most pleasantry I don't pleasantville type thing I've ever heard
- 4:32Speaker 1: of my life is leaving somebody a tomato plant on
- 4:34Speaker 1: their porch with a night.
- 4:35Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 4:36Speaker 4: I was so excited about it though, because we were
- 4:38Speaker 4: trading you know, tomato plant picks because her oh go
- 4:42Speaker 4: you huge and like thriving, and I left mine out
- 4:46Speaker 4: in the rain and it was just like so done.
- 4:48Speaker 3: All the tomatoes like just turn brown.
- 4:50Speaker 1: I forget the rain would be good for it.
- 4:51Speaker 3: No, that's why she left me. Know that said, do
- 4:54Speaker 3: not leave me out in the rain. I love sun.
- 4:56Speaker 1: But she wrote it as like she was the tomato
- 5:00Speaker 1: plant exactly.
- 5:02Speaker 4: It was the cutest, sweetest thing and it like just
- 5:05Speaker 4: made my day. So I'm starting over with my tomato plant.
- 5:08Speaker 3: But I guess I'm a grand millennial.
- 5:10Speaker 1: You're a grandma. Based on that, based on.
- 5:14Speaker 3: That, tomatoes are my grandkids. Yeah, I guess, so have
- 5:19Speaker 3: an eight year old.
- 5:19Speaker 1: I have a tomato plant. I love that she wrote
- 5:22Speaker 1: that as the tomato plant. Yeah, she's awesome.
- 5:25Speaker 3: I know she is.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Okay, well I didn't get it. I didn't did not
- 5:29Speaker 1: get a tomato plant on my porch. That's okay, I'm sorry.
- 5:32Speaker 1: I did help a neighbor move the other day. They'll
- 5:34Speaker 1: move their coffee table.
- 5:36Speaker 3: Nice.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Oh, I felt so bad. So me and my neighbor
- 5:39Speaker 1: Stewart go down to help it.
- 5:41Speaker 8: Listen to this, I love I love Stuart.
- 5:44Speaker 1: So we go down to help the neighbor who had, like,
- 5:46Speaker 1: you know, she had hip replacement, so she had a
- 5:48Speaker 1: coffee table she needed to move in and it was
- 5:50Speaker 1: a big, hefty coffee table. Okay, yeah, so yeah, me
- 5:54Speaker 1: and Stuart can do it. We're tough. We're obviously huge,
- 5:57Speaker 1: right right. So we move it in. It's feet heavy,
- 6:01Speaker 1: it's fully put together, glass and everything in a box.
- 6:04Speaker 3: Whoa.
- 6:04Speaker 1: We get all the way in there and we're like,
- 6:06Speaker 1: we'll take it on the box for you. We take
- 6:07Speaker 1: it all out, get all the cardboard to the side.
- 6:10Speaker 1: It has a crack in it. Guess who had to
- 6:14Speaker 1: put it back in the box and back in the car. Sorry,
- 6:19Speaker 1: I was sweating, sweat overheating.
- 6:24Speaker 3: You guys didn't break it though, right, No, we.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Didn't break it. No, it came broken. She knew that. Yeah,
- 6:28Speaker 1: we were very careful with professionals.
- 6:30Speaker 8: Nic how you I'm good, I'm good. My fourteen year
- 6:33Speaker 8: old graduated last night, Brendan.
- 6:36Speaker 1: I saw that graduated middle school.
- 6:38Speaker 8: Middle school. Sorry, middle school, I don't I didn't have that.
- 6:42Speaker 1: I never had that.
- 6:43Speaker 8: But I was rushing around because this kid wanted to
- 6:45Speaker 8: wear shorts and just dress any kind of way. And
- 6:49Speaker 8: I was like, no, man, you got to at least
- 6:51Speaker 8: where something presentable. You know, you got your family coming,
- 6:53Speaker 8: my family. I never walked across the stage for eighth grade.
- 6:56Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Everything, So they're getting two extra yes, agree, We're in
- 7:01Speaker 1: the mall. Everything, I'm pulling up, I'm showing him.
- 7:04Speaker 8: He's like, no, that's buns. That's buns. And I was like, yeah,
- 7:08Speaker 8: that's bad, that's bad. That's all that's old slang.
- 7:11Speaker 1: I was like, I never heard that.
- 7:12Speaker 8: I was like, come on, man, you're gonna have to
- 7:14Speaker 8: wear something. So finally we got an outpha I got
- 7:16Speaker 8: him there and the.
- 7:17Speaker 1: Niked time, where are you taking them? Gillard's, Macy's, everything
- 7:22Speaker 1: in Firewheel.
- 7:23Speaker 3: Mall, you know wpartment stores.
- 7:25Speaker 8: Yeah, we went to Academy, We went to Dicks. I
- 7:27Speaker 8: was like, what do you want to wear?
- 7:28Speaker 1: Dude?
- 7:29Speaker 8: You got to wear some kind of polo shirt? You know,
- 7:32Speaker 8: look anyway with the kids. Yeah, that's not buns.
- 7:35Speaker 3: So your kid wearing that yesterday?
- 7:37Speaker 1: Yeah, but there was kids that he was he was.
- 7:39Speaker 8: He wasn't lying because there was a couple of kids
- 7:41Speaker 8: that walked across the stage with slots shorts looking yeah,
- 7:46Speaker 8: looking tacky.
- 7:48Speaker 1: It's eighth grade.
- 7:49Speaker 3: They had cans.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Yeah, what are we even doing it?
- 7:52Speaker 3: Like elementary award show vibes?
- 7:54Speaker 1: Yes, I didn't even have that.
- 7:56Speaker 8: Yeah, but they treated it like it was a graduation.
- 7:58Speaker 8: You had to stop at the center take a picture.
- 8:00Speaker 8: Saw that, and I was like, what is going on?
- 8:02Speaker 1: And everybody cheering. I was like, it's just it's not.
- 8:06Speaker 3: Because I'd like.
- 8:07Speaker 4: To live by the phrase like celebrate everything, but that's
- 8:10Speaker 4: a little bit.
- 8:11Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't have to ceremonies. Then it kind of
- 8:14Speaker 1: takes away from high school.
- 8:15Speaker 3: It does. Yeah, that's supposed to be a special moment.
- 8:18Speaker 1: I didn't even think we should do kindergarten graduation. No,
- 8:21Speaker 1: I didn't think we should go to kindergarten.
- 8:25Speaker 5: Tough stories on the tents with Billy the Kid in the.
- 8:28Speaker 6: Morning only on the new mixed one or two point nine,
- 8:31Speaker 6: And I.
- 8:31Speaker 1: See what's going on on this very I don't know.
- 8:33Speaker 1: It feels like a very blad day, Canislow Paz.
- 8:35Speaker 4: Yeah, but it's not as hot this morning as it
- 8:37Speaker 4: was yesterday, maybe like fifteen degrees cooler when you go outside.
- 8:40Speaker 3: So that's the good news.
- 8:42Speaker 4: After five seasons, Jason Kidd and the Dallas Mavericks have
- 8:45Speaker 4: agreed to part ways.
- 8:47Speaker 3: The MAVs say they.
- 8:48Speaker 4: Will immediately start searching for.
- 8:49Speaker 3: The next head coach.
- 8:51Speaker 4: But Jason just signed a multi year contract extension a
- 8:55Speaker 4: while back, so he had four years left and over
- 8:58Speaker 4: forty million dollars in his contract.
- 9:00Speaker 1: See that's what I thought. Yeah, I thought that. When
- 9:02Speaker 1: I saw last night breaking news, I was like, wait,
- 9:04Speaker 1: didn't we just renew him? So are we gonna have
- 9:06Speaker 1: to pay for that?
- 9:08Speaker 4: I would think, So, yeah, this has to do something
- 9:11Speaker 4: with the new president, right, yeah, I mean he just
- 9:13Speaker 4: got that position and things seemed like they were fine,
- 9:16Speaker 4: Like kid was, you know, the right hand man for
- 9:19Speaker 4: our you know, dumalt No, but.
- 9:21Speaker 1: I think that I think Jason Kidd had more to
- 9:23Speaker 1: do with the Luca thing than we know. Yeah, and
- 9:26Speaker 1: I think that that is trickled down and this new
- 9:28Speaker 1: guy is like, yeah, no, we're not having that.
- 9:30Speaker 3: Yeah. Maybe.
- 9:31Speaker 4: So, I mean with Jason Kidd as head coach, the
- 9:33Speaker 4: mav made multiple postseason appearances, went to the Western Conference
- 9:37Speaker 4: Finals in twenty two, the finals in twenty four.
- 9:40Speaker 3: Of course, the.
- 9:40Speaker 4: Season we went twenty five and fifty six, So I
- 9:43Speaker 4: mean that has to play.
- 9:44Speaker 3: A big factor in it.
- 9:45Speaker 4: But yeah, weird times for the MAVs is.
- 9:48Speaker 1: And I love Jason Kidd. He's one of my favorite
- 9:50Speaker 1: players game and he did an incredible job. We just
- 9:54Speaker 1: didn't have a good season, and I think it has
- 9:56Speaker 1: a lot to do with more with the office, yeah,
- 10:00Speaker 1: than him, right, But I think he did have a
- 10:02Speaker 1: part in it.
- 10:03Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:03Speaker 4: I mean the last couple of years have been super chaotic,
- 10:06Speaker 4: but we lost Luca.
- 10:07Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:08Speaker 4: I mean when I moved back three years ago, I
- 10:10Speaker 4: was so excited. Born and raised here a huge Jason
- 10:12Speaker 4: Kidd fan.
- 10:12Speaker 3: We had Luca.
- 10:13Speaker 4: We were doing our thing, and now it's just like
- 10:15Speaker 4: starting over from scratch.
- 10:16Speaker 1: I want to talk about it.
- 10:17Speaker 4: Yeah, well, let's not talk about it. Let's talk about
- 10:19Speaker 4: Google because they are changing their search box for the
- 10:22Speaker 4: first time in twenty five years, so the search results
- 10:26Speaker 4: will now resemble what you see in an AI chat,
- 10:28Speaker 4: so you'll be able to ask follow up questions and
- 10:31Speaker 4: narrow down the responses versus kind of running a search
- 10:34Speaker 4: and then getting a list of websites. So the search
- 10:37Speaker 4: box is bigger, it's more interactive. You can ask longer questions,
- 10:41Speaker 4: upload pictures and videos, and you can even ask questions
- 10:44Speaker 4: of vocally to Google.
- 10:46Speaker 3: So yeah, that's kind of fun.
- 10:47Speaker 1: I use Chat ept more than I use Google now.
- 10:50Speaker 4: Yeah, I've tried to not use it, and I'm trying
- 10:54Speaker 4: to play around with Claude or whatever the other ones are,
- 10:57Speaker 4: just to not stick with one version.
- 10:59Speaker 3: No, but man, it's so helpful.
- 11:02Speaker 1: It is. But should we not even be using it
- 11:04Speaker 1: at all?
- 11:05Speaker 3: We shouldn't. We should resist.
- 11:06Speaker 1: That's just my opinion because it is so bad for
- 11:09Speaker 1: the environment.
- 11:09Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:10Speaker 1: I know it sounds weird that chatchy t would be
- 11:12Speaker 1: bad for the environment, but these data centers are using
- 11:15Speaker 1: so much water and resources and people are freaking out
- 11:17Speaker 1: and rightfully so, yeah, but it's's so hard not to
- 11:21Speaker 1: use it because it makes everything so much easier.
- 11:23Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, it's a tough struggle.
- 11:26Speaker 4: But this Google search, it will still work like the
- 11:28Speaker 4: classic search if.
- 11:29Speaker 3: You're not into the AI style.
- 11:30Speaker 4: But I think it's super helpful to be able to
- 11:32Speaker 4: ask a follow up questions.
- 11:34Speaker 3: So yeah, you'll see it when you go to Google.
- 11:35Speaker 1: You never talk to your chat gypt like vocally, No,
- 11:38Speaker 1: oh you should.
- 11:40Speaker 3: Oh, yes, what do you say?
- 11:43Speaker 1: I mean anything I want? Oh, just ask it anything.
- 11:45Speaker 1: It'll be like, yeah, I mean, it's so helpful. Use
- 11:48Speaker 1: the voice prompts.
- 11:49Speaker 3: Okay.
- 11:50Speaker 1: Then you start asking ridiculous things and you're like, I
- 11:52Speaker 1: gotta stop.
- 11:54Speaker 3: Uh, listen to this guy's.
- 11:55Speaker 4: A new study says the era of the dat bod
- 11:58Speaker 4: might be over. So this research looked into what people
- 12:03Speaker 4: consider the perfect male and female bodies and according to
- 12:06Speaker 4: this the standard for men and women is changing. So
- 12:10Speaker 4: they took more than two thousand adults and showed them
- 12:13Speaker 4: side by side body fat comparisons and then asked, you
- 12:16Speaker 4: know which ones you find the hottest.
- 12:18Speaker 3: For guys, lean.
- 12:19Speaker 4: Athletic builds were the most popular, and for women, it
- 12:23Speaker 4: showed guys tend to prefer soft, curvy bodies over ultra
- 12:27Speaker 4: thin ones.
- 12:28Speaker 3: So yeah, I remember the dad bod was a big
- 12:30Speaker 3: thing a couple of years ago.
- 12:31Speaker 1: I don't think the dad bod was ever in. No,
- 12:34Speaker 1: I think that was flawed research. I think that was
- 12:37Speaker 1: done by dad bods.
- 12:39Speaker 4: Yeah, this study done, but yeah, exactly.
- 12:41Speaker 1: I don't think any woman was like, oh, yes, a
- 12:44Speaker 1: dad bod don't work out like that.
- 12:48Speaker 3: Yeah, I think it's a case by case basis.
- 12:51Speaker 4: You know, there's a lot more involved into it, like
- 12:53Speaker 4: what attracts each other. But if you're just looking at
- 12:55Speaker 4: a body fat percentage and like an outline of a body,
- 12:58Speaker 4: I mean I could.
- 12:59Speaker 1: See where some people can be a husky and carry
- 13:02Speaker 1: their way. Well, yeah, you know, everybody's got different body ties.
- 13:05Speaker 1: We shouldn'tven be focused on it that much. Laughing at
- 13:10Speaker 1: I know, because that's where I used to have to
- 13:11Speaker 1: shop when I was a kid, a husky section. Can
- 13:14Speaker 1: you imagine if kids are they still have husky sections?
- 13:17Speaker 3: I think so.
- 13:18Speaker 1: I don't know, there was nothing more defeating.
- 13:20Speaker 4: As a tall section, which is worse is good and tall.
- 13:26Speaker 1: I can't just have a different section that's like this
- 13:30Speaker 1: is excel.
- 13:30Speaker 3: I mean in this short and small section.
- 13:33Speaker 1: There's a short and small section, That's what I'm saying.
- 13:38Speaker 1: But when you were a kid having to walk a
- 13:39Speaker 1: shame through kmart to the husky section, and I'd be like, well,
- 13:43Speaker 1: I like this. My mom would be like, yeah, but
- 13:45Speaker 1: we got to go to the husky section. Come on
- 13:47Speaker 1: over here, touughskins are on sale.
- 13:51Speaker 4: All right, I'm Kanda slowpez those are you here? Texas
- 13:56Speaker 4: top stories on next one or two point nine. I
- 14:00Speaker 4: don't know what that is.
- 14:01Speaker 1: You don't know what the girl man?
- 14:04Speaker 6: Oh man?
- 14:04Speaker 1: They had this ugly brown colored gass brown. Yes, yeah,
- 14:09Speaker 1: Oh they were pants. They could skin the knees, you
- 14:12Speaker 1: could run across. You were ready for war. Never you
- 14:15Speaker 1: never had to have patches. Never. Wo. You could wear
- 14:18Speaker 1: your tough skins. If I had a pair right now,
- 14:21Speaker 1: put them on. You don't even know what I do
- 14:23Speaker 1: in some tough skins. Oh god, I would wear my
- 14:25Speaker 1: tough skins.
- 14:27Speaker 3: What would you do anything?
- 14:31Speaker 1: Buildings, fall off, buildings. I think they protected. It was
- 14:35Speaker 1: like armor.
- 14:35Speaker 3: Wow. As a kid, Okay, well.
- 14:38Speaker 1: I mean you never have it. You could fall off
- 14:40Speaker 1: your bike going sixty miles an hour and your tough
- 14:43Speaker 1: skins would be fine.
- 14:44Speaker 3: Wow.
- 14:45Speaker 1: Did they make Corduroys too? Man?
- 14:49Speaker 6: Wow?
- 14:49Speaker 3: Guys, Sorry, we talked about this.
- 14:52Speaker 1: I'm emotional my husky tough Skins mix one on two
- 14:56Speaker 1: point nine and good morning and Billy the Kid Candice
- 14:59Speaker 1: Slow pas poo is here. Let's get you in at
- 15:02Speaker 1: four pack of tickets to go to a Rangers game
- 15:04Speaker 1: on US as they take on Cleveland coming up. I
- 15:06Speaker 1: think next week, well not too far away because I
- 15:09Speaker 1: was thinking June. But June is close. It's already the
- 15:12Speaker 1: twentieth I know.
- 15:13Speaker 4: Wow.
- 15:14Speaker 1: All right, so we'll get you in four packets. Good Tuesdays. Hi, summer, summer,
- 15:18Speaker 1: how are you?
- 15:19Speaker 8: I'm good?
- 15:19Speaker 1: Guess what you're calling? Number one? Congratulations summer. Thank you,
- 15:25Speaker 1: You're so welcome. What you got?
- 15:26Speaker 8: So quiet?
- 15:27Speaker 1: What's going on over there? Summer? What are you doing?
- 15:29Speaker 6: Oh?
- 15:29Speaker 1: I was It was.
- 15:30Speaker 5: A little yell, but I'm kind of sick.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Oh no, I'm sorry. I know. I feel like something's
- 15:36Speaker 1: going around. You got a cold or something?
- 15:38Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 15:38Speaker 1: Well, feel better? And where are you from?
- 15:41Speaker 7: Cool?
- 15:41Speaker 1: Well, thank you for listening.
- 15:42Speaker 4: Summer.
- 15:42Speaker 1: Where you're going to work? Right now?
- 15:43Speaker 9: School?
- 15:44Speaker 1: What do you do?
- 15:44Speaker 7: I'm getting the kids? You're ready for school?
- 15:46Speaker 1: Oh they're almost out though, right yeah?
- 15:48Speaker 7: Next Wednesday?
- 15:49Speaker 1: Are you ready for that? Or no?
- 15:51Speaker 2: Oh?
- 15:51Speaker 9: Yeah, I can't wait.
- 15:52Speaker 7: I'm sorry of waking up.
- 15:54Speaker 1: That's awesome, all right, well summer, you stay right there
- 15:56Speaker 1: and feel better. Okay, okay? Are we ready for realer news?
- 16:01Speaker 4: Ready?
- 16:01Speaker 1: Who you ready? All right? I give you three headlines.
- 16:03Speaker 1: I gonna tell me which one is the fake story.
- 16:06Speaker 1: And there's some wild stuff in the news lately. So
- 16:09Speaker 1: this is easy to do and it's always fun to
- 16:12Speaker 1: do as well. First headline, an argument at a waffle
- 16:15Speaker 1: house turns violent when man assaults another customer with a
- 16:19Speaker 1: frozen squirrel. An argument at a waffle house turns violent
- 16:26Speaker 1: when a man assaults another customer with a frozen squirrel.
- 16:30Speaker 1: That is headline number one. Headline number two, Taco Bell
- 16:34Speaker 1: releases its first ever twenty four hour vending machine. Oh,
- 16:39Speaker 1: Taco Bell releases its first ever twenty four hour vending machine.
- 16:44Speaker 1: Headline number three. Man sentenced to forty five days in
- 16:48Speaker 1: prison after giving a Hawk alcohol. Man sentence to forty
- 16:56Speaker 1: five days in prison after giving a Hawk alcohol. You
- 17:01Speaker 1: got three stories right there. One of them is fake
- 17:04Speaker 1: and I made it up. Can you guess which one, Candice,
- 17:06Speaker 1: would you like to take the first guest or do
- 17:08Speaker 1: you want to pass it to the fruit through pooh.
- 17:10Speaker 3: Pooh, I'm going to pass it to the poopoo, right pooh?
- 17:15Speaker 1: What do you think it is? Which one is the
- 17:16Speaker 1: fake story? This is very serious game we play. Go ahead, Uh,
- 17:19Speaker 1: I'm gonna go with that first story.
- 17:21Speaker 8: Man, getting in trouble for somebody with a frozen squirrel
- 17:25Speaker 8: at a waffle house.
- 17:26Speaker 1: You want to lock that in? Yeah? You know waffle
- 17:28Speaker 1: house is gangster about it? I think that's fake. All right,
- 17:30Speaker 1: lock that in, lock it in. It is locked in,
- 17:33Speaker 1: all right, Candice Lopez. It comes back to you.
- 17:35Speaker 3: Man, this is tough today.
- 17:38Speaker 4: Lock me in for that last story, the hawk story.
- 17:41Speaker 1: Last story.
- 17:41Speaker 3: You're giving them alcohol?
- 17:43Speaker 1: The last story you think is fake?
- 17:44Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 17:45Speaker 1: Yeah, who's gonna do that?
- 17:46Speaker 3: Why would you do that?
- 17:47Speaker 1: And how could you catch a hawk? The hawk's not
- 17:49Speaker 1: just hanging out, no, is it? Okay? You want to
- 17:52Speaker 1: lock that in? Are you sure?
- 17:53Speaker 3: Lock it in?
- 17:54Speaker 1: Let's lock that in. You are both locked in and
- 17:57Speaker 1: the winner today is.
- 18:01Speaker 3: Me in a while?
- 18:07Speaker 1: Whoa, whoa whoa hater?
- 18:11Speaker 3: Is that right?
- 18:12Speaker 1: Yeah? He hadn't won a while one the other day.
- 18:15Speaker 1: I'm not supposed to win.
- 18:16Speaker 3: I know that's good.
- 18:17Speaker 1: No, I won the other day. Okay, relax. The fake
- 18:21Speaker 1: story that I made up. Neither of you picked. The
- 18:24Speaker 1: fake story was Taco Bell releases its first ever twenty
- 18:26Speaker 1: four hour vending machine.
- 18:27Speaker 3: Well, somebody just did that.
- 18:28Speaker 1: Chick fil A did.
- 18:29Speaker 4: Oh, Chick fil A did make one.
- 18:32Speaker 1: I don't know where it's at. I forget where it's at,
- 18:34Speaker 1: but it's yeah, I don't know. I mean, it's just
- 18:36Speaker 1: a machine that puts together the sandwiches for you. But
- 18:38Speaker 1: it's twenty four hours, which is cool. But I figure
- 18:40Speaker 1: if any fast food place could do that, it could
- 18:41Speaker 1: be Taco Bell, right right, Like, just have the all
- 18:44Speaker 1: the ingredients in there, similar ingredients, Boom, it makes compizza.
- 18:47Speaker 1: Bam it comes out. Yeah, Taco Bell, You're welcome there,
- 18:51Speaker 1: you go, all right. The real stories somewhat disturbing, and
- 18:54Speaker 1: I got to think, my boy Mike. Shout out to Mike,
- 18:56Speaker 1: who sent me this story about an argument at a
- 18:59Speaker 1: waffle house turns violent when a man assaults another customer
- 19:04Speaker 1: with a frozen squirrel.
- 19:06Speaker 6: What.
- 19:07Speaker 1: Yeah, So no surprise that there's an argument at the
- 19:11Speaker 1: waffle house that happens.
- 19:13Speaker 3: For sure, it happens.
- 19:14Speaker 1: The matter of fact, I think most of the waffle
- 19:16Speaker 1: house employees are actually trained to fight. Yeah, they got
- 19:21Speaker 1: to be. I think everyone alive who's ever been to
- 19:24Speaker 1: a waffle house has seen an altercation at a waffle house.
- 19:27Speaker 1: Have you canis no? Actually, what you've never?
- 19:32Speaker 3: I think?
- 19:32Speaker 1: So we've been to a waffle loush. I'm sure we've
- 19:35Speaker 1: gotten in a fight there.
- 19:36Speaker 4: Well okay, Well was it my friends or someone else?
- 19:39Speaker 7: Well?
- 19:39Speaker 1: No, no, not our friends. But there you always see
- 19:41Speaker 1: some drama at the waffle house in the middle of
- 19:43Speaker 1: the night. Yeah, I mean maybe at least poo and
- 19:45Speaker 1: I do always because you love the waffle house. Well,
- 19:48Speaker 1: at this waffle house, police say, sixty seven year old
- 19:51Speaker 1: man in Florida, Wow, got into a dispute over a
- 19:55Speaker 1: booth with another customer because the booths are highly sought after.
- 19:59Speaker 1: H you know, certain boots are more, especially the boots
- 20:03Speaker 1: that are right by the counter. Yeah, I like that booth. Right. Well,
- 20:07Speaker 1: he got in a fight with this guy. He said,
- 20:09Speaker 1: I'll be right back, walked out to his truck, came
- 20:12Speaker 1: back with a frozen squirrel and hit the other customer
- 20:15Speaker 1: with it, right, in the head. Bam, Wow, and that's hard.
- 20:21Speaker 1: Have you ever seen a frozen squirrel? No, it's pretty
- 20:23Speaker 1: much a rock. It is pretty much a weapon. According
- 20:28Speaker 1: to reports, he claimed he had even more frozen squirrels
- 20:31Speaker 1: in his cars back up if things got wild. Wow yep,
- 20:34Speaker 1: shout out to Mike. Thank you for sending me that story.
- 20:36Speaker 3: Mike prepared.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean just boom right in the head. Can
- 20:41Speaker 1: you imagine going to the hospital going what happened? I
- 20:44Speaker 1: got here with frozen squirrel? Flouse like what? Yeah, damn,
- 20:49Speaker 1: bubba got crazy. We were finding over the booth. He
- 20:52Speaker 1: went out to his truck. He's strapped up with the squirrel.
- 20:55Speaker 3: I'd love to see that police report.
- 20:56Speaker 1: I would love to see it as well.
- 20:58Speaker 3: The cameras.
- 20:59Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, give me the cameras. Uh, this story is disturbing.
- 21:03Speaker 1: A man sends to forty five days in prison after
- 21:06Speaker 1: he gives a hawk alcohol man sends to forty five
- 21:12Speaker 1: days in jail for animal cruelty after video showed him
- 21:15Speaker 1: giving a protected hawk a buzzball. Oh okay, you know
- 21:21Speaker 1: a buzzball?
- 21:21Speaker 3: Yeah, yes, they were and she's from here. Yeah, that's right.
- 21:25Speaker 1: The girl who invented buzzballs Yeah. The California Department of
- 21:30Speaker 1: Fish and Wildlife say that they investigated this. They found
- 21:33Speaker 1: out that this guy did it, and yeah, he's going
- 21:36Speaker 1: to jail now because he put the video up on
- 21:38Speaker 1: YouTube of him giving a juvenile Cooper Hawk a buzzball
- 21:43Speaker 1: ready to drink cocktail at a public park. Wow, just
- 21:46Speaker 1: pouring it in this hawk's mouth. Oh no, man, Yeah,
- 21:51Speaker 1: what do you mean. I'm all about being silly and
- 21:53Speaker 1: having a good time. Pour a buzzball in my mouth,
- 21:58Speaker 1: you know.
- 21:58Speaker 3: Right, if you're out here, just.
- 22:01Speaker 1: Buzz balls, I'll take one.
- 22:03Speaker 5: Right.
- 22:03Speaker 1: Have you ever had one? Candida?
- 22:04Speaker 3: Are they good?
- 22:05Speaker 1: They're tasty? Oh, but they go down smooth. You're on
- 22:08Speaker 1: the lake, you drink a couple of buzzballs. Next thing
- 22:11Speaker 1: you know, you're just naked, swimming and lake listen.
- 22:14Speaker 3: Okay, good to know.
- 22:16Speaker 1: Oh wait, was that just me? Oh never mind? Good
- 22:22Speaker 1: morning and Bailey the Kid Candice slow Paz producer Pooh
- 22:25Speaker 1: you know I love a good list. Oh yeah, I
- 22:28Speaker 1: love a good list. So I saw this and I
- 22:29Speaker 1: thought it was fascinating because there was a lot of
- 22:31Speaker 1: good things on here, societal norms that we've done, you know,
- 22:35Speaker 1: just because I think that's just what we've been raised
- 22:38Speaker 1: to do or told to do. It's just what everyone
- 22:40Speaker 1: else does. That a lot of people are ditching. In
- 22:42Speaker 1: twenty twenty six, and people were putting down stuff on
- 22:45Speaker 1: this list that I thought, you know, I never even
- 22:46Speaker 1: thought of, why did we do that?
- 22:48Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 22:49Speaker 1: And number one is something I don't really do, and
- 22:51Speaker 1: I always thought it was a bad thing, But now
- 22:53Speaker 1: I think as time goes on, we're learning that it's
- 22:55Speaker 1: not a bad thing. This person wrote, I'm no longer
- 22:58Speaker 1: eating three meals a day.
- 22:59Speaker 3: Oh okay, I've seen this online.
- 23:01Speaker 1: Yeah. Now I eat when I'm just hungry, no specific
- 23:05Speaker 1: times whatever, Okay, and I think that is probably what
- 23:09Speaker 1: I do now.
- 23:10Speaker 3: It makes sense. Intuitive eating?
- 23:12Speaker 1: Is that what it's called.
- 23:12Speaker 3: Yeah, some people call it that like that.
- 23:14Speaker 1: Yeah, it's called intuitive eating. Oh fancy, Yeah, I mean
- 23:18Speaker 1: I just look at I read some article that said
- 23:21Speaker 1: pretty much the three meals a day and the food
- 23:23Speaker 1: pyramid was, you know, made by the Rockefellers. There's somebody
- 23:28Speaker 1: back in the day to where it's just a scheme to.
- 23:31Speaker 3: Eat the cereal and their oats and their things.
- 23:33Speaker 1: Yeah, right, so okay, that makes sense. Another one is
- 23:37Speaker 1: this girl wrote, I am not having an expensive wedding.
- 23:40Speaker 4: We bought a house good that same here, That's what
- 23:43Speaker 4: I did. We bought a house before we got married.
- 23:45Speaker 1: I think that's the best I would actually do another
- 23:47Speaker 1: societal norms just forget weddings. Another one on the list
- 23:55Speaker 1: my husband and I And this is a hot take.
- 23:58Speaker 1: My husband and I have said for bedrooms, and we
- 24:01Speaker 1: have for years, and it's the best way to get
- 24:03Speaker 1: amazing sleep.
- 24:04Speaker 3: Huh.
- 24:05Speaker 1: I mean, can you kind of do that?
- 24:07Speaker 3: I do that during the week.
- 24:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 24:08Speaker 3: I don't enjoy it.
- 24:09Speaker 4: I don't like it, but I'm just such a light sleeper.
- 24:12Speaker 4: If our dog like shakes his head and flaps his ears,
- 24:15Speaker 4: I'll wake up. It's just like any little thing, any light.
- 24:18Speaker 3: Yeah, I just wake up and my sleep's broken.
- 24:20Speaker 1: So I think my next relationship separate bedrooms.
- 24:24Speaker 3: Well, it's just a schedule.
- 24:25Speaker 1: Separate houses. No, yeah, I think it works.
- 24:29Speaker 4: Out for I mean, I'm sure my husband would like
- 24:31Speaker 4: hearing my alarm at three forty five in the morning.
- 24:34Speaker 4: He says he wouldn't mind, but it's gonna be loud,
- 24:37Speaker 4: it is, and if I'm snoozing, that's annoying.
- 24:39Speaker 1: Or what did they call There's another hot take, when
- 24:42Speaker 1: it comes to sleeping with your partner, it's the Scandinavian method, okay,
- 24:47Speaker 1: where you each have your own comforter. Oh yeah, so
- 24:51Speaker 1: you have a comforter. I have a comforter. So and
- 24:53Speaker 1: they say that people sleep way better that way.
- 24:55Speaker 3: That makes sense.
- 24:56Speaker 1: It does make total sense because that way I don't
- 24:58Speaker 1: feel you tugging right and stealing all the blankets in
- 25:01Speaker 1: the middle of the night. I think the pillow wall
- 25:04Speaker 1: is an underestimated thing to do, too, just because I
- 25:09Speaker 1: don't like feet coming over in my direction. Okay, you
- 25:12Speaker 1: know I've had access kicked me a lot. It was
- 25:14Speaker 1: on purpose. You don't like to be touching at all,
- 25:18Speaker 1: not when I'm sleeping. Get off me. It's too hot
- 25:23Speaker 1: for that. We live in Texas. Get off me. You
- 25:27Speaker 1: want to cuddle and then we fall asleep. Cool the
- 25:29Speaker 1: minute you're sleeping, roll over, Thank you, bye bye? Next up?
- 25:35Speaker 1: Is now this is underrated that I think everybody should do.
- 25:39Speaker 1: This person says I often sit with my phone in
- 25:42Speaker 1: my pocket, no AirPods, nothing, just staring out a window.
- 25:45Speaker 1: I firmly believe boredom is an enriching experience.
- 25:49Speaker 3: I agree with that.
- 25:50Speaker 1: I do too, Yeah, do I do it. No, I
- 25:53Speaker 1: know I need to do it. But the new trend
- 25:55Speaker 1: too is to go on walks where you're just nothing.
- 25:59Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, go out smart.
- 26:01Speaker 1: Enjoy nature, think, don't be on your phone, don't listen
- 26:04Speaker 1: to music, don't listen to anything, don't listen to a
- 26:07Speaker 1: podcast unless it's ours. Yep, then just relax.
- 26:10Speaker 4: Yeah, you'd be surprised how clearheaded you feel.
- 26:13Speaker 1: And I think boredom is good, and I think kids
- 26:15Speaker 1: need to experience boredom.
- 26:16Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 26:16Speaker 4: I have to force my kiddo to have some boredom
- 26:19Speaker 4: time because.
- 26:19Speaker 3: They just don't know what that is.
- 26:21Speaker 1: I remember back in the day when your parents we
- 26:23Speaker 1: were kids, and if you said the words I'm bored,
- 26:28Speaker 1: you immediately got chores. I'm gonna give something to be
- 26:31Speaker 1: bored about. Oh you're bored. We never said that. We'd
- 26:34Speaker 1: figure it out. Something else on the list. Saying bless
- 26:38Speaker 1: you when people sneeze, like, what are we doing? Does
- 26:41Speaker 1: it really need to be acknowledged? Right? I mean it,
- 26:45Speaker 1: I do too.
- 26:46Speaker 3: We don't say it.
- 26:48Speaker 1: Some people don't, and some people don't say God, bless you.
- 26:51Speaker 1: They just say bless you because they don't want to
- 26:53Speaker 1: offend you. Yeah, I say God bless you. Sorry if
- 26:56Speaker 1: that offends you, Satan, all right, yeah, I'm very oh
- 27:02Speaker 1: now this one, this came from Pooh. I'm very much
- 27:06Speaker 1: a man, but society tells me I have to stand
- 27:08Speaker 1: when I pee. I don't think so I sit down
- 27:10Speaker 1: when I pee.
- 27:11Speaker 3: Oh wow, that's not.
- 27:15Speaker 1: This guy says, yes, it is, it is. No, this
- 27:17Speaker 1: is unlist This guy says, I'm sorry, but I stand
- 27:20Speaker 1: all day as a man. I love to sit down
- 27:22Speaker 1: and have a little pee break.
- 27:23Speaker 4: No, I mean it's kind of a chair. So yeah,
- 27:28Speaker 4: I don't blame you, sir.
- 27:30Speaker 1: I love Pooh.
- 27:35Speaker 5: Top Stories on the Tents with Billy's a Kid in the.
- 27:37Speaker 6: Morning only on the New Mix one or.
- 27:40Speaker 1: Two point Wait for this drama, Dirty Little Secret at
- 27:42Speaker 1: seven thirty. So we got it coming up and it's
- 27:44Speaker 1: a good one. It's some neighbor drama. Let me just
- 27:48Speaker 1: say one of the neighbors gets robbed and nobody calls
- 27:51Speaker 1: the police. What even though they know it's happening. Okay,
- 27:55Speaker 1: just wait, okay, Dirty Little Secret seven thirty, Candice, what
- 27:58Speaker 1: is going on?
- 27:59Speaker 4: Well, Denton's a bomb squad removed and destroyed a live
- 28:02Speaker 4: pipe bomb that was found by a man using a
- 28:04Speaker 4: metal detector near Lake Louisville's Lake Park. Louisville Police say
- 28:09Speaker 4: a man called nine one one on Monday after finding
- 28:12Speaker 4: what he said was a suspicious device. But you need
- 28:15Speaker 4: to hear what this guy had to say, his experience
- 28:17Speaker 4: of finding this and going through this whole process.
- 28:19Speaker 1: He quickly became the star of the story. Yeah, he
- 28:23Speaker 1: finds a pipe bomb, and listen to him talk about
- 28:25Speaker 1: it on the news.
- 28:26Speaker 10: But I'm like, man, that thing is big, and I
- 28:28Speaker 10: just start kicking it into the sand scoop, into the
- 28:31Speaker 10: metal sand scoop. It's like a top of a fence post.
- 28:34Speaker 10: Every movie I've ever seen that had a pipe bomb,
- 28:36Speaker 10: That's what a pipe bomb looks like.
- 28:38Speaker 1: Or do I do what a stupid person would.
- 28:39Speaker 11: Have done and run through the lake holding it up
- 28:42Speaker 11: like the Olympic torch and then boom, I trip over
- 28:45Speaker 11: a rock.
- 28:46Speaker 1: I don't see.
- 28:46Speaker 4: Yes, while carrying a possible pipe bomb, he fell into
- 28:50Speaker 4: the lake.
- 28:51Speaker 1: Okay, oh my god, sir, I love this guy. If
- 28:55Speaker 1: you know it's a pipe bomb, why would you even
- 28:57Speaker 1: pick it up right and run with it? And he
- 29:00Speaker 1: talks about how he knows he was stupid.
- 29:02Speaker 4: Then he called nine to one to one, and the
- 29:03Speaker 4: Denton bomb Squad was eventually called out.
- 29:06Speaker 10: Oh I kicked it into a metal scoop over and
- 29:08Speaker 10: over again, like stabbing down in it with a scoop,
- 29:11Speaker 10: trying to stoop it up. I probably cut it and
- 29:13Speaker 10: scratched it and nicked it up. Had no idea what
- 29:15Speaker 10: I was doing.
- 29:16Speaker 1: So a lot of people are like, oh, you're a hero.
- 29:19Speaker 1: All No, no, no, no.
- 29:21Speaker 10: Every single person I talked to so they would not
- 29:23Speaker 10: have done when I did. That doesn't make me a hero.
- 29:24Speaker 10: What it makes me an idiot.
- 29:29Speaker 1: The comments are a wild on this. Yeah, bet if
- 29:31Speaker 1: someone said tell me you're from Denton without telling me
- 29:34Speaker 1: you're from Denton, guys, but this guy was definitely crazy.
- 29:37Speaker 1: But yeah, can you a character find a live pipe
- 29:39Speaker 1: bomb in the lake?
- 29:40Speaker 4: Yeah, they reopened the lake, but no suspects have been
- 29:43Speaker 4: identified yet. That investigation into who planet it is ongoing,
- 29:47Speaker 4: but they're saying this might be part of a growing
- 29:49Speaker 4: illegal trend of blast fishing. Yeah, I've never heard of
- 29:52Speaker 4: that using these explosives for fishing.
- 29:54Speaker 1: You put the pipe bomb, you put a bomb in
- 29:56Speaker 1: the lake, and all the fit. It's just it's horribly
- 29:59Speaker 1: illegal and dangerous, stupid right, you put the bomb in
- 30:02Speaker 1: there and then it blows up in the fish float
- 30:04Speaker 1: to the top. Right.
- 30:05Speaker 3: Well easy, yeah, you're an idiot, right, what's the fun
- 30:08Speaker 3: of that?
- 30:09Speaker 1: It's not.
- 30:09Speaker 3: Yeah, anyways, guys, listen to this.
- 30:12Speaker 4: And now former McDonald's manager is facing charges in an
- 30:16Speaker 4: investigation into whether he put an order of fries in
- 30:18Speaker 4: his mouth before serving them to a customer.
- 30:22Speaker 3: This happened in April.
- 30:24Speaker 4: The investigation started with a video of the incident that.
- 30:27Speaker 3: Was posted to Facebook.
- 30:29Speaker 4: After originally being captured on Snapchat. The police report says
- 30:34Speaker 4: the twenty two year old licked and spit on the
- 30:36Speaker 4: fries before serving them. Both the customer and the restaurant
- 30:40Speaker 4: owner told police they did want to pursue criminal charges. Actually,
- 30:46Speaker 4: I think this was a woman who did this, they said,
- 30:48Speaker 4: and has been charged with distributing food with a harmful substance.
- 30:52Speaker 4: The victim, though, was this person's ex.
- 30:55Speaker 1: Oh yeah, so that's why she was.
- 30:59Speaker 4: Doing Yeah, hopefully there was more of a motive and
- 31:02Speaker 4: this wasn't just like random, like anyone's just gonna roll
- 31:04Speaker 4: up and get, you know, fries that have been licked.
- 31:07Speaker 1: Yeah, baby bird fries. Yeah, like you're a baby bird.
- 31:10Speaker 1: So this was a woman who did it.
- 31:12Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I spoke.
- 31:13Speaker 4: I think it was a woman who did That's.
- 31:15Speaker 1: Fine if she no, no, no, no, no, I'm not saying
- 31:17Speaker 1: it's fine. I'm just okay, it's fine. He misspoke. I'm
- 31:20Speaker 1: not cool that any I don't want anyone look at
- 31:22Speaker 1: my fries.
- 31:22Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 31:23Speaker 3: No, definitely not.
- 31:24Speaker 1: But there's some people, there's women on OnlyFans who do
- 31:26Speaker 1: that and get paid for it.
- 31:27Speaker 3: Well, there you go.
- 31:29Speaker 4: I mean she put it on Snapchat, so there's the evidence.
- 31:32Speaker 4: We'll see what happens there real quick, guys. And Netflix
- 31:35Speaker 4: just announced the premiere date for season three of the
- 31:38Speaker 4: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders America's Sweethearts. You can watch the new
- 31:42Speaker 4: season June sixteenth. There are seven episodes, following current DCC
- 31:47Speaker 4: members and hopefuls, of course, as they go through the
- 31:49Speaker 4: audition process all the way to their performances in season.
- 31:53Speaker 3: And I cannot wait, you know, I look forward to
- 31:55Speaker 3: this every summer.
- 31:56Speaker 1: It's so good.
- 31:57Speaker 3: My niece and I were just talking about this over
- 31:58Speaker 3: the weekend because she's.
- 31:59Speaker 4: A dancer and we make a pact every year, like,

- 32:07Speaker 4: season two ended with the girls finally getting a paymump. Yeah,
- 32:11Speaker 4: so it'll be exciting to see how they move into.
- 32:13Speaker 3: Season three of the show.
- 32:14Speaker 1: I'm excited for that. I like that show.

- 32:52Speaker 1: What is going on?
- 32:53Speaker 5: So?
- 32:54Speaker 9: Last week I'm home and I was in the garage
- 32:57Speaker 9: grabbing something and I see these two guys running back
- 32:59Speaker 9: and forth out of my neighbor's house and they're carrying
- 33:03Speaker 9: his TV boxes, all sorts of stuff, and they're loading
- 33:07Speaker 9: into a truck. And at first I thought maybe he
- 33:09Speaker 9: was just moving something. And then I see one of
- 33:12Speaker 9: the guys that literally kicked the side door open and
- 33:15Speaker 9: it just slammed, and then I realized the guy's getting robbed.
- 33:19Speaker 1: Oh, these were two guys robbing your neighbor. M yeah,
- 33:23Speaker 1: oh god, okay.
- 33:25Speaker 3: Is that normal?
- 33:27Speaker 7: It happened in the neighborhood before.
- 33:30Speaker 9: And uh so I went back in my house and
- 33:32Speaker 9: I was gonna call the cops, and then I thought, no,
- 33:35Speaker 9: I'm not gonna call anyone, and I didn't even pick
- 33:37Speaker 9: up my phone. And then I watched them load his
- 33:40Speaker 9: lawn mower into the truck.
- 33:43Speaker 1: And so you watched your neighbor get robbed and didn't
- 33:47Speaker 1: call the police.
- 33:49Speaker 7: No, not at all.
- 33:50Speaker 9: Why, Well, my neighbor is a convicted sex offender. Oh wow, Okay,
- 33:57Speaker 9: so I found out a couple of years ago. And
- 34:00Speaker 9: you know, I told my kids, don't ever go near
- 34:03Speaker 9: this guy, don't speak to him, you know, don't nothing.
- 34:08Speaker 9: I still want any contact, No.
- 34:10Speaker 1: Yeah, of course not. So you've you found out how
- 34:14Speaker 1: long ago? You said, this is a couple of years ago,
- 34:16Speaker 1: all right, So you find this out and you're like, so,
- 34:20Speaker 1: is that's why you didn't call the police.
- 34:22Speaker 7: Yeah. I felt he kind of deserved it.
- 34:25Speaker 1: Oh wow.
- 34:27Speaker 7: I even so on my neighbor.
- 34:29Speaker 9: My friends in the neighborhood talking to that guy one time,
- 34:32Speaker 9: and I told my friend, I said, pick a side,
- 34:34Speaker 9: because if you're hanging out with that guy, so you
- 34:37Speaker 9: told you.
- 34:38Speaker 1: Told your neighbor, you know, I get it, though, I honestly,
- 34:41Speaker 1: if you're I don't know what he was convicted of,
- 34:43Speaker 1: and obviously I don't know this guy, but I can
- 34:45Speaker 1: relate because I have a neighbor close to me. I
- 34:48Speaker 1: will say that who I know is convicted as well,
- 34:52Speaker 1: and he's very close to me. And I don't engage
- 34:55Speaker 1: with the guy. Matter of fact, I want nothing to
- 34:57Speaker 1: do with him, and he's he doesn't try to. But
- 35:00Speaker 1: I'll say this, if I see kids around the neighborhood
- 35:02Speaker 1: playing and he's out doing yard work and I'm out,
- 35:05Speaker 1: I keep my eye on him. Yeah, I'm sorry, but
- 35:07Speaker 1: when you're convicted of something like that, you don't get
- 35:10Speaker 1: second chances. No, you don't, So I don't. I don't
- 35:12Speaker 1: know if I'd let oh man, I don't know if
- 35:14Speaker 1: I'd let him get robbed. That's a tough moral dilemma though.
- 35:16Speaker 9: That's Yeah, I don't feel guilty at all, little like
- 35:21Speaker 9: I'm for second chances of life, but some things are unforgivable.
- 35:24Speaker 1: Let me ask Candace. Candace, I wonder what you do,
- 35:26Speaker 1: because out of all of us, you have the most
- 35:28Speaker 1: moral your moral compasses in tune. Yeah, ours is wonky. Yeah,
- 35:33Speaker 1: what would you do? What would Candae Lopez? Do you
- 35:35Speaker 1: see your neighbor get robbed? You know he's not a
- 35:37Speaker 1: good guy or he messed up bad.
- 35:40Speaker 4: Yeah, well this tells me he may have messed up
- 35:42Speaker 4: more than we even realized. Maybe he's involved in some
- 35:45Speaker 4: shady stuff and that's why he's getting robbed.
- 35:47Speaker 1: Also, you go deep into it.
- 35:49Speaker 4: Well, also, you know, I don't want people doing this
- 35:52Speaker 4: to think our neighborhood is that, you know, that would
- 35:54Speaker 4: be my concern and accessible watching you, that would be my.
- 35:58Speaker 1: Only concern right now, right because then if these guys
- 36:02Speaker 1: get away with it, yeah, they're just gonna be like,
- 36:06Speaker 1: we can come back, this is so easy. Yeah, So
- 36:08Speaker 1: that would be the only thing that I would have
- 36:09Speaker 1: an issue with. But you're right. I wouldn't feel bad
- 36:11Speaker 1: for him getting robbed. Maybe I'm a bad person, but
- 36:13Speaker 1: you to a kid, whatever, who would you call not?
- 36:17Speaker 8: Why?
- 36:17Speaker 1: No, I'm not going to call the police. Who would
- 36:22Speaker 1: actually helped him carry the stuff out. I can't say
- 36:26Speaker 1: I blame you, I really can't. So we appreciate your secret.
- 36:30Speaker 1: But that's a I didn't expect that twist. No, as
- 36:35Speaker 1: long as you're not being proactive about harassing the guy,
- 36:39Speaker 1: and yeah, you know, because we have had a dirty
- 36:41Speaker 1: little secret like that. I can't remember. It was a
- 36:43Speaker 1: long time ago where a guy in his neighborhood and
- 36:45Speaker 1: this guy was basically going in on this guy every
- 36:49Speaker 1: time he saw him outside, was screaming at him, and
- 36:52Speaker 1: which I get the anger, but I also know that
- 36:56Speaker 1: you can't do that right.
- 36:58Speaker 3: Just stay away, stay away, sir.
- 37:01Speaker 1: Thank you very much. We appreciate your secret, and if
- 37:03Speaker 1: anything else happens, let us know.
- 37:05Speaker 7: Okay, we'll do all right.
- 37:06Speaker 1: Every time I drive by that neighbor though, that I know,
- 37:08Speaker 1: because I mean, you can look at either's apps, so
- 37:10Speaker 1: you could look it up and see where they're at.
- 37:11Speaker 1: And I feel like every parent should because why would
- 37:14Speaker 1: you not want to know and then you could tell
- 37:16Speaker 1: the difference between somebody who was like, oh okay, that
- 37:18Speaker 1: was one thing, and then this was another. And this
- 37:20Speaker 1: guy in my neighborhood, it's pretty bad. Yeah what he did,
- 37:24Speaker 1: And I thought, like, no, every time I drive by
- 37:26Speaker 1: that guy, just I can't even look his way without
- 37:28Speaker 1: just wanting.
- 37:28Speaker 3: To kid, keep it moving.
- 37:30Speaker 1: Yeah, it makes me angry.
- 37:32Speaker 5: Yeah, all right, he's going for Candace Court. It gets
- 37:38Speaker 5: settled here with Billy the Kid in the morning.
- 37:40Speaker 1: A rise for the Honorable Judge Cannice Lopez, who is
- 37:44Speaker 1: very rude and eating in front of me when I
- 37:46Speaker 1: can't eat.
- 37:46Speaker 4: I just apologize. I said, I'm sorry, but I'm starving.
- 37:49Speaker 3: I didn't mean dinner.
- 37:50Speaker 1: Are guilty of being a hungry Hannah, I'll take it.
- 37:54Speaker 1: It's makes one or two point nine Bailly a kid,
- 37:57Speaker 1: Judge Cannis producer. Pooh, I'm doing blood work later, so
- 38:00Speaker 1: I'm not eating. I had black coffee and that's it. Oh,
- 38:02Speaker 1: I'm sorry, just running on black coffee and dreams right now.
- 38:06Speaker 1: Oh it's tough. I'm so hungry.
- 38:08Speaker 3: I'm sorry.
- 38:10Speaker 1: No, no, no, it's okay. It smells great though. All right,
- 38:13Speaker 1: if you got a candas issue, that you wanted to
- 38:15Speaker 1: handle at Candas on air at Candis on Air. I
- 38:18Speaker 1: like this one because I don't think we've ever had
- 38:21Speaker 1: a problem like this. I was recently invited to a wedding,
- 38:24Speaker 1: but the couple told me they're quote keeping it small
- 38:28Speaker 1: and I won't be able to bring a plus one
- 38:30Speaker 1: unless I pay a seventy five dollars guest fee. No
- 38:35Speaker 1: guest fee, maybe I would understand, but I've been with
- 38:38Speaker 1: my boyfriend for over three years. We've all had dinner
- 38:42Speaker 1: together more than one so it feels weird if I
- 38:44Speaker 1: go without them. But I've also never paid to go
- 38:47Speaker 1: to a wedding before. Is this a new trend I'm
- 38:50Speaker 1: not aware of. It's not like he's a casual date
- 38:53Speaker 1: or something new. He's a big part of my life
- 38:56Speaker 1: and they know him. I don't want to make their
- 38:58Speaker 1: wedding about me or push back on their decisions. But
- 39:02Speaker 1: I also can't see pain for my plus one should
- 39:05Speaker 1: I decline or go without him. I feel like I
- 39:09Speaker 1: can't win. Oh, welcome to the drama of weddings. I've
- 39:15Speaker 1: never heard of pain for a plate.
- 39:18Speaker 3: No.
- 39:19Speaker 1: Maybe either.
- 39:19Speaker 3: I don't think this is a new trend. I hope
- 39:21Speaker 3: it's not.
- 39:22Speaker 1: Well I think it is, is it. I mean, I've
- 39:24Speaker 1: never heard of this happening before. Yeah, so it seems
- 39:27Speaker 1: like this would be something new. Weddings are getting out
- 39:29Speaker 1: of control and they're super expensive. They've always been expensive,
- 39:32Speaker 1: and now people want their guest list smaller and they
- 39:35Speaker 1: don't want to pay Yeah, or people they don't know.
- 39:38Speaker 1: I've seen, definitely seen weddings with no plus one.
- 39:41Speaker 4: Okay, Yeah, I've never experienced that.
- 39:44Speaker 3: I know you have. I have like once or twice,
- 39:46Speaker 3: I feel.
- 39:46Speaker 1: Like and yeah, no, I've been invited to like three
- 39:49Speaker 1: weddings with no plus one. Yeah, And it was when
- 39:52Speaker 1: I was with someone and I felt really awkward about it,
- 39:55Speaker 1: and honestly I didn't go.
- 39:56Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't blame you.
- 39:57Speaker 1: I wasn't mad about it because I don't one of
- 40:00Speaker 1: the weddings anyway.
- 40:01Speaker 4: It right, it's just hard not to feel resentment around this.
- 40:06Speaker 4: Are they also giving a no gift policy? Yeah, I'm
- 40:09Speaker 4: gonna spend seventy five dollars for my person to come.
- 40:12Speaker 3: Is that your present?
- 40:13Speaker 1: I mean, and I'm assuming that seventy five dollars is
- 40:16Speaker 1: just paying for the food, right and their plate? I guess.
- 40:19Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, don't they say that average like see
- 40:22Speaker 4: quote unquote dinner plate whatever is an average of one
- 40:24Speaker 4: hundred dollars, So.
- 40:26Speaker 1: It's probably right around there.
- 40:27Speaker 3: That was who knows when?
- 40:29Speaker 1: So what do you do if you're hurt? Do you
- 40:30Speaker 1: think this is tacky? First of all? Candice? Yeah, you do.
- 40:33Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 40:34Speaker 4: I just feel like if you can't afford to host everyone,
- 40:37Speaker 4: then I mean you just gotta figure it out.
- 40:39Speaker 1: Well, right, what do you mean, just don't invite, like
- 40:41Speaker 1: do a no guest allowed type situation.
- 40:44Speaker 4: I mean, yeah, no guests if that's what it.
- 40:46Speaker 1: Is, or just invite a smaller amount of people in
- 40:49Speaker 1: general and let them bring in those options. I think
- 40:52Speaker 1: I would rather do that because I don't want the drama.
- 40:55Speaker 1: I don't if I were to ever get married again,
- 40:57Speaker 1: I'm just not doing a big wedding. Yeah, I'm a
- 40:59Speaker 1: loping in Mesquite, a town east. Sure, I'm getting married
- 41:03Speaker 1: at tomorrow.
- 41:04Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 41:05Speaker 4: I mean that's kind of why we aloge, because we
- 41:07Speaker 4: started writing names down on who we could not leave out.
- 41:09Speaker 3: We absolutely could not.
- 41:10Speaker 4: Leave these people out, and it was.
- 41:11Speaker 3: Just too much.
- 41:13Speaker 6: You know.
- 41:13Speaker 4: What's so when you get married, like and you're a
- 41:15Speaker 4: little bit older, not in your early twenties or whatever.
- 41:17Speaker 4: You've just met a lot of people, You've worked with
- 41:19Speaker 4: a lot of people. Your family's grown, and it's if
- 41:22Speaker 4: you already have a big family.
- 41:23Speaker 3: It's just a lot.
- 41:24Speaker 8: Yeah, I'm too cheap. I ain't paying unless it is now.
- 41:27Speaker 8: If it was Billy, yeah I'll pay.
- 41:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll pay for somebody who I strongly to take
- 41:32Speaker 1: me as your date.
- 41:35Speaker 8: I'm saying, if you got married in charge, yeah, yeah.
- 41:40Speaker 1: I pay for my day to support you. But you
- 41:43Speaker 1: would not, Yes, I would. You wouldn't see no matter, No,
- 41:47Speaker 1: I know, I listen. You wouldn't pay. I know, I know.
- 41:51Speaker 3: I wan didn't ask you to pay.
- 41:52Speaker 1: No, exactly, I wouldn't do that.
- 41:54Speaker 8: He would, but if if circumstances, if he did, if
- 41:57Speaker 8: he was charging and I had a significant other, Yeah,
- 42:00Speaker 8: I pay for Billy.
- 42:01Speaker 1: Everybody else, No, I ain't paying. I ain't even going.
- 42:04Speaker 1: You wouldn't bring a date. I'm telling you, even if
- 42:06Speaker 1: it was me, you would not bring a day. Yes,
- 42:08Speaker 1: I know you would.
- 42:11Speaker 3: I don't think you would.
- 42:12Speaker 1: You would not bring a day alone.
- 42:16Speaker 4: Yes, because you're gonna know people, and you're gonna have If.
- 42:19Speaker 8: Billy gets married again, I'm gonna be his best man,
- 42:21Speaker 8: no doubt, I'm not having best man.
- 42:23Speaker 1: So wow, I'm having the best person. And it's well,
- 42:30Speaker 1: if I get married, I'm gonna have both of us.
- 42:33Speaker 4: Wait, I want you to get married so bad. Pooh, yeah,
- 42:35Speaker 4: because I know that's true. I know Billy and I
- 42:37Speaker 4: would be standing next to you.
- 42:38Speaker 1: Yeah he was, Yeah, and you guys would be standing
- 42:40Speaker 1: next to me. But who's getting married first out of
- 42:42Speaker 1: both of us? Oh? Wow? Yeah, I don't know.
- 42:46Speaker 6: I'm not.
- 42:47Speaker 1: I don't genuinely think that. I think, if anything, it
- 42:49Speaker 1: will be there'll be a surprise at a plotwist, it'll
- 42:51Speaker 1: be you.
- 42:52Speaker 3: I hope.
- 42:53Speaker 4: So.
- 42:53Speaker 1: I hope so too.
- 42:54Speaker 3: I want that for me.
- 42:55Speaker 1: I just don't know if I would be okay with
- 43:05Speaker 1: pain as well.
- 43:06Speaker 4: Yeah, like any event, like what if it's your birthday
- 43:09Speaker 4: party and it's like, hey, I want to do this
- 43:11Speaker 4: habauchi at my house thing, but you got to pay
- 43:13Speaker 4: to come, so weird?
- 43:15Speaker 1: No, thank you, Right, I'm just skipping it. I'm probably
- 43:18Speaker 1: just skipping if I Okay, here's what's happening. If I'm
- 43:20Speaker 1: with someone and you know, it feels weird not inviting her,
- 43:25Speaker 1: I'm just not going. Yeah, I'm not going at all.
- 43:28Speaker 1: If I'm alone and I'm single, then I'm probably just
- 43:32Speaker 1: going and being like, well, it doesn't matter anyway, I
- 43:34Speaker 1: might as well show up if the person's a good friend.
- 43:36Speaker 1: If they're not right, I'm not coming not coming in.
- 43:40Speaker 1: So either way, we got a decision. You're the judge, Candice.
- 43:43Speaker 1: What's the verdict?
- 43:43Speaker 4: Yeah, whoever's throwing this wedding is a budget, Brenda. I
- 43:48Speaker 4: just don't think you can ask people to pay a
- 43:50Speaker 4: guest fee.
- 43:51Speaker 3: Isn't that part of being a guest. You're a guest
- 43:53Speaker 3: and you're hosted as a guest.
- 43:55Speaker 1: Guilty of being frugal? Francesca, Yeah for sure. Wow, Okay,
- 44:01Speaker 1: kind of like it. Guilty as charged, guilty of.
- 44:03Speaker 3: Being the budget Brenda.
- 44:05Speaker 5: There you go is Texas Top Stories on the Tens
- 44:08Speaker 5: with Billy the Kid in the Morning only.
- 44:10Speaker 6: On the New Mix one O two point nine.
- 44:13Speaker 1: Canna Slowpez, what do you got going on over there?
- 44:15Speaker 4: Well, after five seasons, Jason Kidd and the Dallas Mavericks
- 44:18Speaker 4: have agreed to part ways. The MAVs say they will
- 44:21Speaker 4: immediately start searching for the next head coach. But he
- 44:25Speaker 4: just signed a multi year contract extension.
- 44:28Speaker 6: Uh.
- 44:28Speaker 4: Just a while back, I think it was the end
- 44:29Speaker 4: of twenty four.
- 44:31Speaker 3: I think.
- 44:31Speaker 4: So he still has like four years and over forty
- 44:34Speaker 4: million dollars left in his current contract.
- 44:36Speaker 1: Yeah, so, I mean he's gonna get paid for a
- 44:37Speaker 1: while or get paid out either way. Yeah, it's got
- 44:40Speaker 1: to be the new GM.
- 44:41Speaker 3: It's got to be that.
- 44:42Speaker 4: I mean, that's the only thing that's changed since, you.
- 44:44Speaker 3: Know, Nico was fired.
- 44:46Speaker 4: But with Jason Kidd as head coach of the MAVs,
- 44:49Speaker 4: they made multiple postseason appearances, went to the Western Conference
- 44:52Speaker 4: Finals in twenty two and the finals in twenty four.
- 44:56Speaker 4: Of course this season we ended at twenty five and
- 44:58Speaker 4: fifty six. But yeah, people are optimistic about Cooper Flag.
- 45:02Speaker 1: I mean, how could you not be. Yeah, he's right
- 45:05Speaker 1: face to the NBA.
- 45:07Speaker 3: Yeah, oh yeah.
- 45:08Speaker 1: Don't compare him to Luke. I know a lot of
- 45:09Speaker 1: people like, well, I'd rather have Cooper Flagg than Luca.
- 45:11Speaker 1: We should have had both. Yeah, he's to me, and
- 45:14Speaker 1: I never would have gotten rid of Luca. It didn't
- 45:16Speaker 1: matter what was on the horizon. No, But I think
- 45:18Speaker 1: Jason Kidd had a bigger play in that than people think. Yeah,
- 45:21Speaker 1: and I think the new GM or the new guy
- 45:24Speaker 1: basically said I know what's going on here and didn't
- 45:26Speaker 1: like it.
- 45:26Speaker 4: Yeah, I want to know the full story, and I hope,
- 45:29Speaker 4: like it's not too long before Jason's able to speak out.
- 45:32Speaker 4: I don't know what kind of clause he has in
- 45:34Speaker 4: his deal that says he can't speak out about who
- 45:36Speaker 4: knows what.
- 45:37Speaker 3: But there's more to it, of course there is.
- 45:39Speaker 1: But I like Jason.
- 45:40Speaker 3: Kidd Yeah I did too.
- 45:42Speaker 1: If it was mutual, and it was mutual, then good
- 45:44Speaker 1: move on. Everybody's fine.
- 45:46Speaker 4: Yeah, guys, Google is changing its search box for the
- 45:49Speaker 4: first time in twenty five years.
- 45:51Speaker 3: The search results will now resemble kind of.
- 45:53Speaker 4: What you see in an AI chat, so you'll be
- 45:56Speaker 4: able to ask follow up questions and narrow down the
- 45:59Speaker 4: responses versus is running a search and then getting.
- 46:01Speaker 3: A whole list of websites.
- 46:03Speaker 4: So the search box is bigger and more interactive. You
- 46:06Speaker 4: can ask longer questions, upload pictures and videos, and even
- 46:09Speaker 4: ask questions vocally, which is apparently the part of AI
- 46:13Speaker 4: that I've been missing out on.
- 46:14Speaker 1: I don't know how you don't have that feature so
- 46:16Speaker 1: you don't use the voice to activate your CHATGYBT or whatever.
- 46:19Speaker 3: No, I mean, I just recently started using it. Like
- 46:22Speaker 3: the last week or.
- 46:23Speaker 1: Two, they don't start because it's addicting. It's pretty much
- 46:26Speaker 1: Siri on steroids.
- 46:27Speaker 3: Oh oh yeah.
- 46:29Speaker 1: It talks to you like no pauses, though you can
- 46:31Speaker 1: have a conversation with it.
- 46:33Speaker 3: Oh it talks back. Oh yeah, Oh I thought it
- 46:36Speaker 3: just typed the answers for you.
- 46:37Speaker 1: No, why would I want that. I can't read, Yes,
- 46:41Speaker 1: you can. I mean I can read, but now while
- 46:43Speaker 1: I'm driving and stuff. Yeah, I have full blown conversations
- 46:46Speaker 1: with my chat gybt.
- 46:47Speaker 3: Wow. Yeah.
- 46:48Speaker 4: I'm trying to figure out, like how to handle this
- 46:49Speaker 4: with my kiddo because he's always wanted to ask questions
- 46:52Speaker 4: like Leaven. Last night he was talking to my phone, Hey, Siri.
- 46:55Speaker 3: Hey.
- 46:55Speaker 4: He was trying to get her to play a song
- 46:57Speaker 4: Tokyo Drift or whatever for him, but then he wanted
- 46:59Speaker 4: to know what the coldest day on the planet ever was.
- 47:02Speaker 1: Do chat you have a full conversation? I love mine? Yeah,
- 47:06Speaker 1: but I just.
- 47:06Speaker 4: Don't want to train him to always be thinking about
- 47:08Speaker 4: wanting to look something up on the phone, like we
- 47:10Speaker 4: do you know that kind of fun?
- 47:13Speaker 3: No, it is fun, but I just feel like we
- 47:15Speaker 3: do it too much.
- 47:16Speaker 1: What did we do back in the day back in
- 47:17Speaker 1: the day when we were kids and we want to
- 47:19Speaker 1: know what was the hottest day on Earth? Yeah, we
- 47:22Speaker 1: had to go to our encyclopedias. Yeah, we had to
- 47:26Speaker 1: go to the library, the card.
- 47:27Speaker 4: Catalog and then find the number and then go to
- 47:29Speaker 4: the wall and pick the book.
- 47:31Speaker 1: And they had to the page we do the Britannica
- 47:34Speaker 1: encyclopedias that they came door to door and sold.
- 47:37Speaker 3: Yeah, we have to look it up, I guess.
- 47:40Speaker 1: So the only book I read was the Guinness Book
- 47:42Speaker 1: of World Records. I love that book.
- 47:43Speaker 3: I love that book too.
- 47:44Speaker 1: And where the sidewalk ends.
- 47:46Speaker 4: Yeah, the lady with the longest fingernails, and they would like,
- 47:50Speaker 4: oh I remember that picture of that.
- 47:51Speaker 3: Book for sure.
- 47:52Speaker 1: That's why I liked it.
- 47:53Speaker 3: There was pictures, yeah, exactly. Real quick, guys.
- 47:57Speaker 4: Talk of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey's prenup is getting
- 48:00Speaker 4: started again. Of course, she has about two billion dollars
- 48:03Speaker 4: in assets to protect. He has about ninety million. But
- 48:07Speaker 4: since every state has different rules, the speculation is starting
- 48:10Speaker 4: on which states rules they would go with states they
- 48:13Speaker 4: are linked to New York, Tennessee, Rhode Island, to Kansas
- 48:17Speaker 4: and Missouri because of you know, her homes and then
- 48:19Speaker 4: his sports career.
- 48:21Speaker 3: So I wonder if we'll ever find out what that
- 48:23Speaker 3: prenup is Like, No.
- 48:25Speaker 1: Probably not, but that prenup is going to be so
- 48:27Speaker 1: ironclad when it comes to protecting her because he's worth
- 48:30Speaker 1: ninety million and she's worth two billion. O put your
- 48:34Speaker 1: little money away, Travis oh Man, little boy.
- 48:39Speaker 4: Yeah, I was looking up some of the like high
- 48:41Speaker 4: profile celebrity prenups, and the Beyonce and jay Z prenup
- 48:45Speaker 4: supposedly promises her a million dollars for every year they
- 48:48Speaker 4: stay married up to fifteen years, and then it has
- 48:52Speaker 4: like child related clauses, giving her fifteen million.
- 48:54Speaker 3: For every baby, whether they divorce or not.
- 48:58Speaker 1: Oh really, Yeah, so she's probably got more money than him.
- 49:02Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't. I don't know. I don't know. That's
- 49:04Speaker 3: a good question. But how is that info out there?
- 49:07Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 49:09Speaker 3: Is it true?
- 49:09Speaker 1: Yeah? Who knows if it's true or not. But I
- 49:11Speaker 1: would love to see it.
- 49:12Speaker 4: Yeah, I would too, I would too. I'm Candaslopez. Those
- 49:14Speaker 4: are your Texas top stories.
- 49:17Speaker 3: Oh that's a hot take.
- 49:18Speaker 5: Let us know what you think.
- 49:20Speaker 6: Here's today's hot.
- 49:21Speaker 1: Take about one thousand dollars coming up next on the
- 49:23Speaker 1: forties every hour pretty much all day long. So make
- 49:25Speaker 1: sure you listen to win if you want some mon
- 49:28Speaker 1: needs makes one or two point nine and be able
- 49:30Speaker 1: a kid. Canda Slowpez producer, pooh and damn candas over
- 49:32Speaker 1: they're still eating.
- 49:34Speaker 3: Sorry, we have to talk and work.
- 49:36Speaker 1: No, but you've been eating in front of me now
- 49:38Speaker 1: for thirty five minutes.
- 49:39Speaker 3: I'm done. I'm an orange.
- 49:41Speaker 1: I feel like she's doing it on purpose because I
- 49:42Speaker 1: can't eat because I'm doing blood works. True.
- 49:44Speaker 3: This is the same as.
- 49:45Speaker 1: Everything is the slowest eater on the planet.
- 49:49Speaker 3: That's true.
- 49:49Speaker 1: One bite per song. I'll take a bite now and
- 49:54Speaker 1: then I'm an chew on this and I'm gonna put
- 49:55Speaker 1: a little bit of my cheek and the I'm gonna
- 49:56Speaker 1: come back to that a little bit.
- 49:58Speaker 3: Well, I eat, and then I work and eating.
- 50:00Speaker 1: Then as soon as I look up, she takes a
- 50:01Speaker 1: bite right in front of me, because you.
- 50:03Speaker 4: Know, I lean over behind your computer screen so you
- 50:05Speaker 4: wouldn't see me.
- 50:06Speaker 1: Oh you did, yeah? Oh thanks Cannison. That was nice,
- 50:09Speaker 1: all right. Hot take of the day. Speaking of eating,
- 50:11Speaker 1: this gym has gone viral, and it's kind of funny.
- 50:13Speaker 1: The reason they've went viral. Well least, I think it's
- 50:15Speaker 1: kind of funny. Some people are actually mad about it.
- 50:18Speaker 1: Some gym in Kentucky because they changed their dress code.
- 50:23Speaker 1: Oh boy, right, people are in an uproar about it. Well,
- 50:26Speaker 1: I'll play some of this listen.
- 50:27Speaker 3: Northern Kentucky. Jim's facing a lot of backlash after women
- 50:30Speaker 3: say a new dress code policy is targeting them.
- 50:33Speaker 12: But an email sent to Tack Fitness members says a
- 50:37Speaker 12: gym is enforcing dress guidelines to ensure people of all
- 50:40Speaker 12: ages feel comfortable free from quote inappropriate or revealing attire.
- 50:45Speaker 3: Okay, now, what is that inappropriate or revealing?
- 50:49Speaker 1: It's no surprise though that Jim's have done this before
- 50:52Speaker 1: when it comes to rules, when it comes to what
- 50:54Speaker 1: people can and cannot wear. I feel like that is
- 50:56Speaker 1: one of the often most talked about places when it
- 50:59Speaker 1: comes to what people are wearing. Now, this specific gym,
- 51:04Speaker 1: though their rules. The new rules. Our shirts must fully
- 51:10Speaker 1: cover the torso okay, okay, chest and cleavage and the
- 51:17Speaker 1: butt must be covered by a shirt if you're wearing.
- 51:21Speaker 4: Leggings, right, you can't have a shirt that's shorter than
- 51:28Speaker 4: your butt, right this.
- 51:30Speaker 1: Jim says, if you're wearing leggings, then you doesn't say men,
- 51:34Speaker 1: doesn't say women. It just says if you're wearing.
- 51:36Speaker 3: Leggings, obvious women.
- 51:38Speaker 1: Right.
- 51:38Speaker 3: No, dudes aren't doing this.
- 51:40Speaker 1: I mean you don't know that. I've seen a dude
- 51:43Speaker 1: absolutely work out in leggings, okay, like meggings with shorts
- 51:50Speaker 1: over it.
- 51:50Speaker 5: No.
- 51:51Speaker 1: No, I've seen a guy working out with no shorts
- 51:54Speaker 1: over his leggings. Okay, like like almost like three quarters.
- 51:59Speaker 3: Fine if you want.
- 52:00Speaker 1: I don't care what I don't care what people do does.
- 52:04Speaker 1: This is just my opinion. I don't care what you wear.
- 52:07Speaker 1: It doesn't matter. I don't think ladies should be said,
- 52:09Speaker 1: oh you gotta wear this, you gotta do that now.
- 52:12Speaker 1: At the same time, though, if you want to make
- 52:14Speaker 1: these rules for your gym, go ahead.
- 52:17Speaker 3: Yeah. I just won't work out there exactly.
- 52:19Speaker 1: And that's my point is people are so mad about this.
- 52:21Speaker 1: They're going, well, you know what, you can't do that.
- 52:24Speaker 1: Yeah they can do that. Yeah, but let them do that.
- 52:26Speaker 1: That's not fair. Why is it not fair to enforce that?
- 52:29Speaker 1: I mean, there's no fair.
- 52:30Speaker 8: It's a gym. We're all good, I mean not me,
- 52:33Speaker 8: because I don't know O. I don't really work out it.
- 52:37Speaker 8: But if I did, why are you coming up with
- 52:40Speaker 8: all these rules like just let me.
- 52:41Speaker 1: Go get your work out. They want this specific gym.
- 52:45Speaker 1: The owners are very conservative. They want this to be
- 52:49Speaker 1: a safe place for people who don't want to be uncomfortable.
- 52:53Speaker 1: If someone is wearing leggings or showing cleavage, and I
- 52:58Speaker 1: can't be mad at that.
- 52:59Speaker 4: But aren't you If you're the one wearing that, you're
- 53:01Speaker 4: the one that feels uncomfortable, right, because people are staring
- 53:03Speaker 4: at you or doing whatever. I don't feel uncomfortable when
- 53:06Speaker 4: my shirt covers my butt. I typically it typically does
- 53:09Speaker 4: because I don't want people staring at it and you know,
- 53:11Speaker 4: giving me attention like that.
- 53:12Speaker 1: No, I think it's the opposite sometimes too. I think
- 53:15Speaker 1: there's a lot In some cases there's women who don't
- 53:18Speaker 1: want to or men who don't want to go to
- 53:20Speaker 1: certain gyms and be surrounded by people who are wearing
- 53:24Speaker 1: little to nothing.
- 53:25Speaker 8: Okay, I think those people are insecure. They probably see
- 53:28Speaker 8: somebody with a good looking body.
- 53:30Speaker 1: Hoigh take.
- 53:31Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean I use your butt as motivation. I
- 53:33Speaker 4: want you to show your butt because then I'm like, oh,
- 53:35Speaker 4: I got to do more squads.
- 53:36Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 53:36Speaker 8: Right, if you see a dude with his shirt off
- 53:38Speaker 8: and six backs and stuff like that, and you go.
- 53:41Speaker 1: Tell the owners and bother. I don't want to see
- 53:43Speaker 1: that while I work out. You're hating bro. No, that
- 53:45Speaker 1: doesn't bother me at all. But let's be honest. The
- 53:49Speaker 1: leggings in today's world, they're not the same leggings that
- 53:51Speaker 1: our moms were wearing. No, for sure, today's leggings hug
- 53:56Speaker 1: things I didn't even know exist. They got them scrutchy leggings.
- 53:58Speaker 1: They just yeah, scrunchy leggings.
- 54:01Speaker 8: You haven't seen those those little scrunchy legings, remember more
- 54:05Speaker 8: Charlie who had hustler esthetics. They scrunch up up at
- 54:08Speaker 8: the top and they just lift up the buttocks.
- 54:11Speaker 1: Yeah, oh, especially maybe to hold up ask you something
- 54:16Speaker 1: about leggings. Can It's not like I don't know what
- 54:18Speaker 1: he's talking about. I'm just saying I don't know how
- 54:21Speaker 1: when he became an expert on leggings, on women's leggings.
- 54:24Speaker 3: They do have the ones with the butt pads in there.
- 54:26Speaker 1: I was going to ask you there's one with butt
- 54:28Speaker 1: pads in them, But there's one, Like a lot of
- 54:30Speaker 1: the leggings have the marks where the bottom of your
- 54:33Speaker 1: butt is. Yeah, that are made. Is that supposed to
- 54:36Speaker 1: look like sweat?
- 54:37Speaker 2: No?
- 54:38Speaker 4: I thought it was supposed to give the illusion of
- 54:39Speaker 4: like a rounder bull.
- 54:42Speaker 3: Yeah, more plump, That's what I thought. I don't have
- 54:45Speaker 3: any of those.
- 54:45Speaker 1: But you don't know, Okay, all right, I was.
- 54:48Speaker 4: Wondering if I'm not wearing them so people stare at
- 54:50Speaker 4: my butt.
- 54:51Speaker 1: But but do you think some women are Probably?
- 54:54Speaker 4: Yeah, definitely some women are not all.
- 54:57Speaker 1: It doesn't bother me, Like, yeah, I'm not. I wouldn't
- 55:00Speaker 1: go to this gym. But people so mad about it,
- 55:03Speaker 1: saying that this gym shouldn't be able to make those rules.
- 55:05Speaker 1: I think they should absolutely be able to make these.
- 55:08Speaker 4: Can't any place say no shoot or shirt shoes? Sure, service,
- 55:11Speaker 4: it's kind of the same thing.
- 55:12Speaker 1: But from an institution.
- 55:13Speaker 4: Does a high school even have this rule? It's weird
- 55:17Speaker 4: that a gym would have the rule.
- 55:18Speaker 1: I'm wondering how many people would go here. I know
- 55:20Speaker 1: how many people would feel more comfortable? Like does does
- 55:23Speaker 1: anybody what do you feel? You ever go to the
- 55:25Speaker 1: gym and you feel uncomfortable. I've never been to the gym.
- 55:28Speaker 1: Go I'm uncomfortable about what.
- 55:29Speaker 4: They're wearing about what they're wearing. No, that doesn't affect me.
- 55:32Speaker 4: I'm just here to work out and leave.
- 55:33Speaker 1: Yeah, it's called a gym for a reason.
- 55:36Speaker 8: Should have all these stipulations on what I wear when
- 55:40Speaker 8: I work out.
- 55:40Speaker 1: Yeah, let me go get my work out on and bounce.
- 55:43Speaker 4: I mean there's some leggings with that stuff that just
- 55:45Speaker 4: helps it smooth out because you don't want to see
- 55:47Speaker 4: like dimples or some women don't want it to show
- 55:50Speaker 4: all of the things, so it smooths it out.
- 55:52Speaker 3: Which I'm down with.
- 55:53Speaker 1: A woman wearing a sports bra in those leggings working
- 55:56Speaker 1: out at a gym. Appropriate or not appropriate?
- 55:59Speaker 4: Yeah's appropriate if it's an actual sports bra.
- 56:02Speaker 1: What does that mean?
- 56:02Speaker 4: Well, I mean there's some with like, you know, thicker
- 56:05Speaker 4: straps and you know that they're there for a reason
- 56:07Speaker 4: to hold the girls up while you're on the treadmill
- 56:09Speaker 4: or whatever. Okay, and then there's other quote unquote sports
- 56:13Speaker 4: bras that are more for aesthetics.
- 56:15Speaker 1: Ah see, I don't know these things. Yeah, okay, so
- 56:19Speaker 1: see this is weird to me, you know what I mean.
- 56:21Speaker 1: I don't think this business, this business will last long.
- 56:24Speaker 1: I'm just gonna be honest.
- 56:25Speaker 4: There's a place to wear a sports bra. It's the gym,
- 56:27Speaker 4: you know what I mean? Yeah, theme parks and stuff
- 56:30Speaker 4: where people get weird about it, in places where it
- 56:33Speaker 4: doesn't make sense that you would need to wear a
- 56:35Speaker 4: sports bra.
- 56:35Speaker 1: You think that sports bra should be banned at six flags?
- 56:38Speaker 4: No, get your tan on too while you're out there.
- 56:41Speaker 1: I mean, I'm just weird. I don't care what people
- 56:43Speaker 1: wear in general, just doesn't really bother me really at all,
- 56:47Speaker 1: especially at the gym. Is the one definitely the one
- 56:50Speaker 1: place where I really don't pay attention, Yeah, because I
- 56:54Speaker 1: expect you to be wearing a sports bra, or I
- 56:56Speaker 1: expect to be wearing a shirt that's like I have shirt.
- 57:00Speaker 4: When I can see somebody six pack at the gym
- 57:02Speaker 4: because they're wearing a sports I don't cause then I'm like, yeah,
- 57:05Speaker 4: that's what we're here for, you know Yeah.
- 57:07Speaker 1: But I'm like, I'm never gonna get there, so I'm
- 57:10Speaker 1: still mad. I'm still hate. It's mix one on two
- 57:13Speaker 1: point nine. Next shot. We'll do it at nine forty
- 57:17Speaker 1: on the forties pretty much every hour all day. Good morning,
- 57:20Speaker 1: It's Bailly to kid Candice Lopez, producer who is here.
- 57:23Speaker 1: Congrats to all the grads class of twenty twenty six.
- 57:26Speaker 1: I know a lot of people are out of school
- 57:27Speaker 1: starting today. Yeah, so what a weird, crazy feeling. If
- 57:32Speaker 1: that's you, it's got to feel surreal because I know
- 57:35Speaker 1: I was thinking about this yesterday because I went and
- 57:37Speaker 1: saw my son who's in eighth grade. He's going to
- 57:39Speaker 1: be a freshman next year in high school. Wow, which
- 57:42Speaker 1: is so weird to me. But it's so cool that
- 57:45Speaker 1: they still do things at the school for parents in
- 57:47Speaker 1: eighth grade. So we did like a little lunch with
- 57:50Speaker 1: him yesterday, and I was surprised he even wanted me
- 57:52Speaker 1: to come.
- 57:53Speaker 4: That's awesome because I'm so scared that after fifth grade,
- 57:56Speaker 4: when my son moves on to middle school, there's not
- 57:58Speaker 4: gonna be any of that.
- 57:59Speaker 1: There's there's none as many opportunities as it is in
- 58:02Speaker 1: elementary school. But there's still chances you can do things good.
- 58:06Speaker 1: They just become too cool. Although I don't know if
- 58:08Speaker 1: Anzo your son will ever be that way. Yeah, he's
- 58:11Speaker 1: such a sweet kid. My son is, Yeah, too cool.
- 58:16Speaker 3: He's sweet.
- 58:17Speaker 1: No, he's a sweet kid. But I'm saying, you know,
- 58:19Speaker 1: I didn't want I love my mom to death, but
- 58:21Speaker 1: I didn't want my mom coming to lunch at middle school.
- 58:25Speaker 3: Yeah, it was weird.
- 58:26Speaker 1: Yeah, it was yesterday though, watching my son at school.
- 58:31Speaker 1: It was like being in a time machine going back
- 58:33Speaker 1: and watching me. It was this we acting. It was
- 58:38Speaker 1: so strange and so bizarre, but it was really fun.
- 58:41Speaker 1: But it led me to believe, Like, what would you do?
- 58:43Speaker 1: So if you could go back into time? Right, take
- 58:46Speaker 1: the time machine back? Should I fire up the time machine?
- 58:49Speaker 1: It got a oil chains the other day it did pooh,
- 58:51Speaker 1: took it the jilde? So is it running good? Yeah,
- 58:54Speaker 1: it's good. Okay, let's start it up. We take this
- 58:57Speaker 1: time machine. Bow, it is running good, take it back.
- 59:00Speaker 1: What advice would you give your graduating self? Oh wow,
- 59:05Speaker 1: Cannas Lopez goes back in time. You have to talk
- 59:08Speaker 1: to yourself. It's senior year, you say, listen, this is
- 59:12Speaker 1: the one piece advice I would give myself. What would
- 59:14Speaker 1: it be?
- 59:15Speaker 4: Yeah, I'd say what I told my niece Carly, who
- 59:17Speaker 4: just graduated. I had lunch with her yesterday. I took
- 59:19Speaker 4: her to sushi. I would tell her to be open,
- 59:22Speaker 4: you know, into talking to people, making friends with people,
- 59:25Speaker 4: keep laughing, and stop caring about what everyone thinks about
- 59:28Speaker 4: your clothes, yes, and what trend, what things you have
- 59:31Speaker 4: and don't have because who cares?
- 59:33Speaker 7: Right?
- 59:34Speaker 4: You know, right after you graduate, nobody cares. Who had
- 59:37Speaker 4: Jordan's nobody cares.
- 59:39Speaker 1: But I think there is a lot more pressure than
- 59:41Speaker 1: we had. Yeah, and that's because of phones and social media. Right,
- 59:45Speaker 1: So school was our social media. Yeah, that was the
- 59:47Speaker 1: pressure we had, and you had to address school. Well,
- 59:50Speaker 1: you're at this stuff now. It never really ends.
- 59:52Speaker 3: You don't have lu lemons. Who cares?
- 59:54Speaker 1: Right, it doesn't matter at all. That's good. I think
- 59:57Speaker 1: mine is very similar to what yours. If I had
- 59:59Speaker 1: to go back in time and tell myself anything my
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: graduating senior year, I think I would tell myself, take
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: the risk and don't care what people think. Yeah, don't
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: don't hold back because you're worried about failing. And I
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: don't really think I have in general. But there's a
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: certain couple things I would have done differently because I
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: was scared I would failah or And I'm telling you,
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: when you're eighteen nineteen, that's the time you can fail.
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: If there's ever going to be a time in your
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: life you can fail, it's then, and you'll learn from it.
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: It's never really a true failure. Yeah, because you get up,
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: you go, you do things. So I think if I
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: had to go back in the time, I would tell
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: myself take the risk you didn't want to take and
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: just do it. Yeah, just go back and be yourself
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: and be authentic, be kind and and yeah, if you
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: get that energy out there, it will surround you.
- 1:00:52Speaker 5: You know.
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: Po If you had to go back into time to
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: when you graduated nineteen twenty four, what a wonderful year
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: for real? And what would you tell yourself and Christopher
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: Columbus back then? To listen to those closest to you.
- 1:01:11Speaker 8: Don't don't rebel listen because and think everybody's out to
- 1:01:15Speaker 8: get you.
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: Because that was my biggest thing. People were telling me,
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: you know, you should do this, you should do that.
- 1:01:20Speaker 8: I was like, you don't know me. I can do
- 1:01:21Speaker 8: it on my own and stuff. And I regret that. Like, uh,
- 1:01:26Speaker 8: my uncle had told me because I had an art
- 1:01:27Speaker 8: scholarship to go to this art school yeah in California,
- 1:01:31Speaker 8: and I was like, I ain't going there, and he
- 1:01:33Speaker 8: was like, why just go, you know, and and you
- 1:01:37Speaker 8: want to go.
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: No, I didn't want to go.
- 1:01:39Speaker 8: I just I was like, I'm gonna stay close to
- 1:01:41Speaker 8: home and you know, hang with the homies like a dummy,
- 1:01:44Speaker 8: and and I just I regret that, you know, taking
- 1:01:48Speaker 8: a leap of faith and stuff like that. And then
- 1:01:50Speaker 8: also I would always tell the people closest to you
- 1:01:54Speaker 8: that you love them, because there was a time that, like,
- 1:01:59Speaker 8: you know, my mom would say, are you coming home?
- 1:02:02Speaker 8: And I would go somewhere else and go just you know,
- 1:02:05Speaker 8: go party. Yeah, and then.
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: A few years later I didn't have my mom anymore.
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: That's good advice. So I was just like, I was like, oh,
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: so I could get choked up. No, but that's good advice.
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: But but it's less like him. Yeah, she would just
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: be like, you're coming home. You know.
- 1:02:21Speaker 8: When I first got in college, and I used to
- 1:02:22Speaker 8: go home, you know, ever so often, but then more
- 1:02:25Speaker 8: and more I just go out, go out and keep
- 1:02:28Speaker 8: going on.
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: And you know, she was.
- 1:02:29Speaker 8: Allowed to see me enter the military, but unfortunately I
- 1:02:33Speaker 8: lost her while I was in the military.
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: So it was just like, that's good advice. I always
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: told it's good advice for everyone, everyone, whether no matter
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: who you have in your life. Yeah, I didn't know
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: we were gonna get emotional. Yeah, bad, No, don't be sorry,
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: but it's good. Advice is you should never miss an
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: opportunity to tell someone you care yeah, or you love him,
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: because you never know if you'll ever get another chance.
- 1:02:56Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: I know that sounds dark, but it's true. Yeah. I
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: don't wait to get people their flowers. And don't be
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: too cool for your parents' kids. Right, your parents are cool, right,
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: trust me, you'll see you know who you're You're a kid.
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: We thought we were the coolest. We weren't cool. Yeah.
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: So yeah, that's good advice. Thank you, Poo poo. Get
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: him a clean ex. Who crying is a new egg?
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: I love you, Ella Cough.
- 1:03:25Speaker 5: Stories on the Tents with Billy the Kid in.
- 1:03:27Speaker 6: The Morning only on the New Mix one O two
- 1:03:30Speaker 6: point nine.
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: Love for Candace Man. I know we could be so
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: happy together. I know he just doesn't know it yet.
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: Either way, all right, Canda Slopez? What is going on
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: in our world?
- 1:03:40Speaker 5: Well?
- 1:03:40Speaker 3: A lot going on in Denton.
- 1:03:41Speaker 4: Their bomb squad removed a live a pipe bomb that
- 1:03:44Speaker 4: was found by a man using a metal detector near
- 1:03:46Speaker 4: Lake Lewisville's Lake Park. So Louisville Police say a man
- 1:03:50Speaker 4: called nine one one on Monday after finding a suspicious device.
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: It's what he had to say about it.
- 1:03:56Speaker 4: Uh, that got me going because he was very, very energetic.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: Yeah, this guy's a star, Yeah he is. He is
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: so extra. So he starts off on the news by
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: saying this, you.
- 1:04:06Speaker 10: Who made this pipe bomb are watching this video.
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: You're a stupid person.
- 1:04:11Speaker 13: But but I don't know if he's properly given himself
- 1:04:18Speaker 13: enough credit as far as being stupid, because he's the
- 1:04:20Speaker 13: one who picked up the pipe.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: Bomb and ran with it, even though he knews a
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: pipe bomb.
- 1:04:25Speaker 10: So then he explains, I'm like, man, that thing is big,
- 1:04:27Speaker 10: and I just start kicking it into the sand scoop,
- 1:04:30Speaker 10: into the metal sand scoop. It's like a top of
- 1:04:33Speaker 10: a fence post. Every movie I've ever seen had a
- 1:04:36Speaker 10: pipe bomb. That's what a pipe bomb looks like. Or
- 1:04:38Speaker 10: do I do what a stupid person would have done.
- 1:04:40Speaker 11: And run for the lake holding it up like the
- 1:04:42Speaker 11: Olympic torch and then boom, I trip over a rock.
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: I don't see.
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: Yes, while carrying a possible pipe bomb. He fell into
- 1:04:50Speaker 3: the lake. Oh that was wild.
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: If he knews a pipe bomb, sir, why did you
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: pick it up and run with it?
- 1:04:59Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: He said he was just being silly.
- 1:05:01Speaker 4: He was being stupid, called nine and the Denton bomb
- 1:05:04Speaker 4: Squad was eventually called out.
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: All right, well shout out to the Denton bomb Squad
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: who handle it.
- 1:05:08Speaker 3: Yeah, they reopened the lake.
- 1:05:10Speaker 4: They say no suspects have been identified yet, but this
- 1:05:13Speaker 4: investigation into who planted the bomb there is ongoing. They're saying,
- 1:05:17Speaker 4: I had no idea this was a thing blast fishing, yep,
- 1:05:20Speaker 4: that people go in there. This is a you know,
- 1:05:22Speaker 4: growing a legal trend of using these explosives to fish.
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: Yeah, they put an explosive in there and the fishes
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: float up to the top. Well what's the fun of that, right,
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: I mean, come on.
- 1:05:31Speaker 4: Really, Yeah, that's silly. But this guy is going viral
- 1:05:34Speaker 4: as we speak, so you might see it in your
- 1:05:36Speaker 4: feed at some point today. Listen to this guy's and
- 1:05:39Speaker 4: now former McDonald's manager is facing charges in an investigation
- 1:05:44Speaker 4: into whether she put an order of fries in her
- 1:05:46Speaker 4: mouth before serving them to a customer.
- 1:05:49Speaker 10: I know.
- 1:05:50Speaker 3: This happened in April.
- 1:05:52Speaker 4: This investigation started with a video of the incident that
- 1:05:55Speaker 4: was posted to Facebook after originally being captured on Snapchat.
- 1:06:00Speaker 4: So the police report says the twenty two year old
- 1:06:03Speaker 4: woman licked and spit on the fries before serving them.
- 1:06:07Speaker 4: Both the customer and the restaurant owner told police they
- 1:06:10Speaker 4: wanted to pursue criminal charges. The woman was charged with
- 1:06:13Speaker 4: distributing food with a harmful substance and that victim, though,
- 1:06:17Speaker 4: was her exh okay, which made me feel better.
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: Yeah, that does make me feel better too. I don't
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: want a stranger licking on my fries.
- 1:06:24Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, this was just a random you know, I'm
- 1:06:27Speaker 4: just doing this because I hate my job.
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: Who's into that?
- 1:06:30Speaker 5: No, I'm not.
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: He likes he likes girls to do that. Let this
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: suck on the French fry before and then he's like,
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: yeah that he likes that. Can't Some people are into
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: weird things.
- 1:06:45Speaker 3: No, I agree.
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: I accept them for who they are.
- 1:06:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: I remember one time when my son was little, he
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: played a joke on me. He thought it was a
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: joke and it was the grossest thing ever. He loves
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: at a mammy Okay, you know, so he was sucking
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: at a mommy out of the thing, right and put
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: it in that other bowl he was put in the
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: same bowl as the new ones, oh, and waiting until
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: I got one. So then I got one and just
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: went to bite it and there was nothing and it
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: was soggy and he ate that one, dad, And I
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: was like, bro, you're grounded. It's such a me thing
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: to do, right.
- 1:07:17Speaker 4: That's exactly right, real quick, guys. Netflix just announced the
- 1:07:21Speaker 4: premiere day for season three of The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders
- 1:07:24Speaker 4: America's Sweethearts. You can watch the new season at June sixteenth.
- 1:07:28Speaker 3: There are seven episodes.
- 1:07:30Speaker 4: Of course, the show follows current DCC members and hopefuls
- 1:07:33Speaker 4: as they go through the audition process all the way
- 1:07:36Speaker 4: to their performances in season. I think we're going to
- 1:07:38Speaker 4: see thirty veterans and then six new spots in.
- 1:07:42Speaker 3: This in this upcoming season.
- 1:07:43Speaker 4: But if you remember, season two ended with the girls
- 1:07:45Speaker 4: fighting to get that pay bump, and right at the
- 1:07:48Speaker 4: end they got it and they went to their you know,
- 1:07:50Speaker 4: end of season celebration, and that's where we left off.
- 1:07:54Speaker 3: So I cannot wait for this third season.
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: It's a good show.
- 1:07:56Speaker 3: Oh yeah.
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: And it's obviously as a guy, you're like, well it's
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: a cheer there's no oh, it's good. It's yeah, Like
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: I get into.
- 1:08:02Speaker 4: It's also like a sports drama, right, you know to me?
- 1:08:05Speaker 4: But yeah, looking forward, to that. I'm Ganda Slowpez. Those
- 1:08:08Speaker 4: are your Texas top stories on two point nine.

- 1:08:18Speaker 1: all right, thank you, Candace, Oh, thank you? Okay, pooh.

- 1:08:46Speaker 1: this memorially? We can't come up it is. That's not
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: even the start of summer, is it.
- 1:08:50Speaker 3: That's the unofficial story, unofficial.
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: Start of summer. So spring cleaning your secrets with us
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: eight three three seven eight seven one two nine. You
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: got one.
- 1:08:57Speaker 9: Last week, I'm home and I was like grabbing something,
- 1:09:01Speaker 9: and I see these two guys running back and forth
- 1:09:03Speaker 9: out of my neighbor's house and they're carrying his TV boxes,
- 1:09:08Speaker 9: all sorts of stuff.
- 1:09:09Speaker 7: And they're loading into a truck.
- 1:09:11Speaker 9: And at first I thought maybe he was just moving something,
- 1:09:14Speaker 9: and then I see one of the guys that literally
- 1:09:16Speaker 9: kicked the side door open, and it just slammed, and
- 1:09:19Speaker 9: then I realized the guy's getting robbed.
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: Oh, these were two guys robbing your neighbor. M yeah,
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: oh god, okay.
- 1:09:28Speaker 3: Is that normal?
- 1:09:31Speaker 7: This happened in the neighborhood before.
- 1:09:33Speaker 9: And uh so I went back in my house and
- 1:09:35Speaker 9: I was gonna call the cops, and then I thought, no,
- 1:09:38Speaker 9: I'm not gonna call anyone, and I didn't even pick
- 1:09:40Speaker 9: up my phone. And then I watched them load his
- 1:09:44Speaker 9: lawn mower into the truck.
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: And so you watched your neighbor get robbed and didn't
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: call the police.
- 1:09:52Speaker 7: No, not at all.
- 1:09:54Speaker 9: Why, Well, my neighbor is a convicted sex offender.
- 1:09:58Speaker 3: Oh wow.
- 1:10:00Speaker 9: Okay, so I found out a couple of years ago.
- 1:10:03Speaker 9: And you know, I told my kids, don't ever go
- 1:10:06Speaker 9: near this guy. Oh, don't speak to him, you know,
- 1:10:11Speaker 9: don't nothing. I still want any contact.
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: No, yeah, of course not. So you've you found out
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: how long ago? You said, this is a couple of
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: years ago, all right, So you find this out and
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: you're like, so, is that's why you didn't call the police?
- 1:10:25Speaker 7: Yeah? I fuck, he kind of deserved it. Oh wow,
- 1:10:30Speaker 7: I even so one of my neighbor, my.
- 1:10:33Speaker 9: Friends in the neighborhood talking to that guy one time,
- 1:10:35Speaker 9: and I told my friend, I said, pick.
- 1:10:37Speaker 7: A side, because if you're hanging out with that.
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: Guy, so you told, you told your neighbor. You know,
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: I get it, though, I honestly if you're I don't
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: know what he was convicted of. And obviously I don't
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: know this guy, but I can relate because I have
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: a neighbor close to me. I will say that who
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: I know is convicted as well, and he's very close
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: to me. And I don't engage with the guy. Matter
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: of fact, I want nothing to do with him, and
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: he's yeah, he doesn't try to. But I'll say this,
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: if I see kids around the neighborhood playing and he's
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: out doing yard work and I'm out, I keep my
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: eye on him. Yeah, I'm sorry, But when you're convicted
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: of something like that, you don't get second chances. No,
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: you don't. So I don't. I don't know if i'd
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: let oh man, I don't know if i'd let him
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: get robbed. That's a tough moral dilemma though.
- 1:11:20Speaker 9: That's yeah, I don't feel guilty at all, even little
- 1:11:24Speaker 9: like I'm for second chances of life, but some things
- 1:11:27Speaker 9: are unforgivable.
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: Let me ask Candace, Candace, I wonder what you do,
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: because out of all of us, you have the most
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: moral your moral compasses in tune. Yeah, ours is wonky. Yeah,
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: what would you do? What would Candae Lopez? Do you
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: see your neighbor get robbed? You know he's not a
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: good guy or he messed up bad.
- 1:11:43Speaker 4: Yeah, well this tells me he may have messed up
- 1:11:46Speaker 4: more than we even realized. Maybe he's involved in some
- 1:11:48Speaker 4: shady stuff and that's why he's getting robbed.
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: Also, you go deep into it.
- 1:11:52Speaker 4: Well, also, you know, I don't want people doing this
- 1:11:55Speaker 4: to think our neighborhood is.
- 1:11:56Speaker 3: That, you know, that would be my.
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: Concern and accessible to be my only concern right now,
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: right because then if these guys get away with it, yeah,
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: they're just gonna be like, we can come back, This
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: is so easy.
- 1:12:10Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: So that would be the only thing that I would
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: have an issue with. But you're right, I wouldn't feel
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: bad for him getting robbed. Maybe I'm a bad person,
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: but you kind of stick to a kid. Whatever. Who
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: would you call not? Why No, I'm not call the
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: police at who would actually helped him carry the stuff out?
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: I can't say I blame you. I really can't. So
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: we appreciate your secret. But I mean that's a I
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: didn't expect that twist. No, as long as you're not
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: being proactive about harassing the guy. And yeah, you know,
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: because we have had a dirty little secret like that.
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: I can't remember. It was a long time ago where
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: a guy in his neighborhood and this guy was basically
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: going in on this guy every time he saw him outside,
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: was screaming at him, and which I get the anger,
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: but I also know.
- 1:12:59Speaker 3: That you can't do that right, Just stay away, stay.
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: Away, right, sir, Thank you very much. We appreciate your secret,
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: and if anything else happens, let us know.
- 1:13:08Speaker 7: Okay, we'll do all right.
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: Maybe I shouldn't say I don't believe in second chances
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: when it comes to them. Yeah, but I don't know,
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: you know what I mean. It's something you never forget, right,
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: So you're gonna be on my radar if you're in
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: my neighborhood. Yeah, So I can't feel bad about saying that.
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: I'm not saying you shouldn't have a life after you've
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: paid your dues and punishment. But that's a different kind
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: of crime to me.
- 1:13:32Speaker 3: Yeah, and each case is different.
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: So true. True, So you got to know the full story.
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: When you know the details, you're right, and when we'll
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: see you tomorrow. I can't believe tomorrow is already Thursday,
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: Candice Lopez, Right, it is Thursday, tomorrow. Yeah, okay, wow,
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: all right Thursday. What's you got going on today? What
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: are you doing?
- 1:13:45Speaker 4: We have Inzo's last day of school or end of
- 1:13:48Speaker 4: school party today. That's awesome, it's gonna be fun.
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: Yeah. But see, you're in that perfect sweet spot second
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: grade going into third grade. It's like still awesome, right,
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: you're still super cool to him. He's still at that
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: age where he wants to hang out. Yeap, just wait
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: till you get to pooh and I's age where your
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: son's going into high school and you are not cool. Yeah,
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: you're not cool at all.
- 1:14:09Speaker 3: That's fine. I'm just gonna live it up while we're
- 1:14:11Speaker 3: in second Yeah.
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: That's true. Yeah, all right, we'll have a good day.
