- 0:00Speaker 1: Off the Bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Let's go.
- 0:04Speaker 1: Let's go from a championship backfield to your morning drive.
- 0:07Speaker 3: Here's to Hester and Hester.
- 0:10Speaker 1: Got it, Fata, you're locked in to off the bench
- 0:14Speaker 1: control the live from the Raising Kine studio. Here's Jacob
- 0:21Speaker 1: Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 0:43Speaker 4: You worry?
- 0:59Speaker 2: Oh see here on this Wednesday morning, Jake Flynn and
- 1:04Speaker 2: oh here with you.
- 1:05Speaker 4: How are we doing? Room? Amazing? Doing great?
- 1:09Speaker 5: Could not be better.
- 1:11Speaker 4: I'm I'm doing well. One problem. I'm just a little
- 1:18Speaker 4: thirsty this morning because Matt Flynn once again did not
- 1:23Speaker 4: bring the energy drinks. Did I did I check those
- 1:28Speaker 4: hands when he walked in? I did?
- 1:31Speaker 2: I did.
- 1:31Speaker 4: I didn't say you just like suddenly mentioned something. I
- 1:34Speaker 4: didn't say anything. I think we feel like we have
- 1:36Speaker 4: a good enough relationship. Hey man, you got those innery drinks.
- 1:39Speaker 4: If I have to remind you, then it's meaningless.
- 1:41Speaker 5: Oh gosh, there, I mean, they're in your truck, aren't they?
- 1:48Speaker 4: Yeah? I could, but they're on radio right now. Too late,
- 1:53Speaker 4: because then they're going to be hot and then I'm
- 1:55Speaker 4: not even gonna be able to do.
- 1:56Speaker 6: When I got here, it was thirty minutes before I
- 1:59Speaker 6: was on radio. Yeah, just a little subtle you know.
- 2:04Speaker 5: I don't think subtlety is in the little vocabulary.
- 2:08Speaker 4: Not usually. If I have to ask you, it's meaningless.
- 2:14Speaker 4: It's like reminding someone it's your birthday and then them
- 2:17Speaker 4: telling you happy birthday. I want to say what you
- 2:18Speaker 4: sound like right now?
- 2:19Speaker 2: But what ma what.
- 2:26Speaker 4: A guy that likes energy drinks?
- 2:27Speaker 5: A little fruity energy drinks.
- 2:31Speaker 4: I mean, I don't know are they I don't even
- 2:33Speaker 4: know the flavors when I forgot.
- 2:34Speaker 5: They're a pink punch or something.
- 2:35Speaker 4: I'm gonna get them sometime something between now and the
- 2:40Speaker 4: cans expiration date. Yes, now, you're not.
- 2:47Speaker 6: Not getting them now, it's not happening. Shake him up
- 2:51Speaker 6: and spray them all over the parking lot.
- 2:53Speaker 2: Dang, all right, it'sbile, yes, yes, break it's coming from
- 3:06Speaker 2: Austin and it's in mobile.
- 3:09Speaker 4: Okay. So I actually knew this before I called yesterday
- 3:13Speaker 4: because I was like, hey, like, do you don't know
- 3:14Speaker 4: where it is? Because like I have this little thing
- 3:17Speaker 4: on my email it's like track your vehicle. The last
- 3:20Speaker 4: thing was March thirteenth, when I purchased it. That's the
- 3:23Speaker 4: last update. It's called yesterday. I'm like, you'll know where
- 3:26Speaker 4: it is, Like, do you have anything for me? Like, yeah,
- 3:29Speaker 4: well it goes from Austin to Waco, Waco to Mobile
- 3:33Speaker 4: back to bad Rouge. I'm like that makes sense, Like
- 3:36Speaker 4: I would have just went to Austin and got it
- 3:39Speaker 4: and came back. I didn't know it was going to
- 3:40Speaker 4: take this long, and I paid four hundred dollars to
- 3:43Speaker 4: have a ship, Like I could have skipped that part
- 3:45Speaker 4: and just went and got it. I didn't know.
- 3:49Speaker 6: So I'm thinking, like, to go from Austin to Mobile,
- 3:54Speaker 6: you have to like you have to get on either
- 3:56Speaker 6: ten or I mean.
- 3:58Speaker 4: You have to.
- 3:59Speaker 5: Well, if you're going to go though, actually.
- 4:01Speaker 4: You would go up to twenty.
- 4:04Speaker 5: You're more familiar with that area than cut down and go.
- 4:07Speaker 4: To twelve and then twelve all the way. Yeah. The
- 4:09Speaker 4: only reason not to stop in Baton Rouge would be
- 4:13Speaker 4: because you had to go north and get on twenty
- 4:15Speaker 4: and go somewhere up he said Alstin to my guess
- 4:18Speaker 4: is the whoever the driver is has to go back
- 4:21Speaker 4: to Texas. So they're like, we'll make the drop off
- 4:24Speaker 4: and mobile drop it off on the way back. I
- 4:26Speaker 4: don't see why that matters you're buried.
- 4:29Speaker 6: Yeah, your carry buried and it did the deep part
- 4:31Speaker 6: of the truck. I mean you you you have to
- 4:35Speaker 6: go through Baton Rouge from Waco to Midfield.
- 4:37Speaker 4: I know you know how those cars are stacked. They
- 4:39Speaker 4: probably they probably moved him to like the back. Yeah.
- 4:43Speaker 2: Yeah, because you go you go for to leave, they're
- 4:46Speaker 2: trying to fill it.
- 4:47Speaker 4: You go Waco and.
- 4:48Speaker 2: Then you go south to Beaumont and then you go
- 4:49Speaker 2: late Charles Lafy Baton Rouge.
- 4:51Speaker 4: Yeah, so you're straight through.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Yeah, you literally have to come through here. And in fact,
- 4:56Speaker 2: like it probably has spots crazy ridge and you could
- 5:02Speaker 2: have seen it from.
- 5:03Speaker 4: You probably I probably could have waved as it as
- 5:06Speaker 4: it went by drivers.
- 5:08Speaker 6: The driver is probably listening to the show, listening to
- 5:10Speaker 6: you complained about the driver.
- 5:13Speaker 4: That's trust me knowing these people. He's like, that can't
- 5:18Speaker 4: be right. It's gotta that's gotta be another driver. Customer Services.
- 5:23Speaker 5: Are we sure you got it from CarMax and not
- 5:25Speaker 5: car mocks or something like that?
- 5:27Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I got it? What you give it a pickup?
- 5:35Speaker 4: Trump car Max dot biz Like I've never got it,
- 5:42Speaker 4: I promise and I'll probably never do it again.
- 5:45Speaker 5: Are you talking about how is dressed like a lemon
- 5:48Speaker 5: lime zero my high right now?
- 5:53Speaker 4: Looking good? Really nice here?
- 5:55Speaker 2: Yeah, boy really accentuates the pecks.
- 5:58Speaker 4: Yeah, a lot of focus on there is a lot
- 6:01Speaker 4: of focus the bright color only on the peck region.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Daniel Bash probably, uh, he's probably right, Like he probably
- 6:11Speaker 2: heard the conversation about the guy getting arrested in US
- 6:14Speaker 2: kind of making light of it, and said, yeah, screw
- 6:16Speaker 2: this guy. It's probably fair.
- 6:19Speaker 5: I mean, unless he's also a quadruple amputee.
- 6:22Speaker 6: I'm sure we weren't making light of anything. We were
- 6:25Speaker 6: reporting fast humans with two eyeballs.
- 6:27Speaker 4: I'm just I was of like making observations and legs.
- 6:33Speaker 7: Yeah, but I sent y'all a video of him yesterday
- 6:35Speaker 7: climbing a ladder into a tree to shoot a gun.
- 6:38Speaker 4: It was impressive. I missed that. I didn't see the
- 6:42Speaker 4: video of him shooting the gun, though I saw. I
- 6:44Speaker 4: just saw.
- 6:45Speaker 6: I don't know how you're going to do this motion
- 6:47Speaker 6: on the trigger. I saw the video. If I'm shooting
- 6:49Speaker 6: a handgun, how do you do?
- 6:52Speaker 4: I don't know. But it happened. It shot, It's shot
- 6:56Speaker 4: and everything, and I don't like. I don't know if
- 7:00Speaker 4: we like.
- 7:02Speaker 6: Earlier Yeah, I just want to say probably the most
- 7:07Speaker 6: probably the most impressed morning show.
- 7:10Speaker 4: This is probably the most impressive suspect I've ever seen.
- 7:12Speaker 4: It really is like you want to talk about defying
- 7:15Speaker 4: all the odds to pull off something no one thought
- 7:18Speaker 4: was possible.
- 7:21Speaker 6: But yeah, the ending could have been better. I'm in
- 7:24Speaker 6: a tree stand with a rifle in his hand, all right.
- 7:27Speaker 1: But.
- 7:30Speaker 6: Nothing was an event Christmas. Okay, it's nice shirt though,
- 7:35Speaker 6: thank you. That's where this started.
- 7:39Speaker 2: Big Mike O'Neill inside the chat said car haulers make
- 7:43Speaker 2: pickups as they travel, depends on who calls them, so
- 7:46Speaker 2: maybe they just added vehicles and then the one they
- 7:49Speaker 2: added had to go to mobile and they're like, yeah,
- 7:51Speaker 2: screw Taylor's right.
- 7:53Speaker 6: It took so long for it to leave Austin after
- 7:55Speaker 6: you bought it because they are filling the truck and
- 7:57Speaker 6: you just got pushed down back.
- 7:59Speaker 2: Yeah, you're gonna You're gonna be the last delivery.
- 8:02Speaker 4: I'm not even kidding.
- 8:03Speaker 2: When they pull in here, there's gonna be it's gonna
- 8:06Speaker 2: be one vehicle. It's gonna be your n mm hmm yep.
- 8:11Speaker 4: That's a good truck, though. I gotta I did get
- 8:14Speaker 4: a really good deal on it. I can't complain too much. Well,
- 8:17Speaker 4: if you had from by you automotive, you can't complain
- 8:20Speaker 4: too much.
- 8:23Speaker 5: On you automotivated.
- 8:25Speaker 4: Give those issues.
- 8:26Speaker 2: Yeah, they would have driven it from the plaus to
- 8:28Speaker 2: the studio and you'd had it two weeks ago. I
- 8:32Speaker 2: think you bought it actually right right before they I did.
- 8:37Speaker 5: And now you know, and you could have got a
- 8:41Speaker 5: sick black widow.
- 8:44Speaker 4: What color you have, like a neon green? One kind
- 8:48Speaker 4: of neon green would be all over that that. I mean,
- 8:53Speaker 4: it's made for taint. What what color is the one
- 8:57Speaker 4: I'm getting? I guesses? Okay, so blue?
- 9:02Speaker 2: Oh, electric blues? Good choice. I mean it's it's either
- 9:08Speaker 2: one of the two. It's either basic ass white yeah,
- 9:12Speaker 2: or it's electric blue.
- 9:14Speaker 5: It's blue.
- 9:15Speaker 4: Huh, it's white yeah, yeah, and it was gonna be
- 9:19Speaker 4: one or two. I got a white truck. It's fine.
- 9:22Speaker 5: Yeah, Sure is wrong with the white truck.
- 9:24Speaker 4: Yeah, but Taylor likes festive colors. Not for vehicles, okay,
- 9:30Speaker 4: just for shirts.
- 9:31Speaker 5: Yeah, like energy drink.
- 9:35Speaker 4: Yeah, we're getting like orange, We're getting some bright truck. Yeah.
- 9:40Speaker 4: When do you get it? Squatted? H Never next week?
- 9:43Speaker 4: Because I'm miss misses An appointment.
- 9:49Speaker 5: Getting squad, say, LP is like where the Carolina squad?
- 9:53Speaker 5: Isn't all that right? I went to U Club on Sunday.
- 9:57Speaker 5: I saw somebody in a Ford f two fifty car
- 10:00Speaker 5: a line of squad in U Club.
- 10:01Speaker 2: That's not real, No, it's real.
- 10:03Speaker 4: I believe it.
- 10:04Speaker 5: I was trying to take a picture of it, but
- 10:06Speaker 5: I was also trying to get out of there.
- 10:08Speaker 4: Thank you for.
- 10:10Speaker 3: In there.
- 10:10Speaker 2: He was probably like sixteen years old.
- 10:14Speaker 5: Fair enough.
- 10:15Speaker 2: I bet he was fifty yeah, lowered.
- 10:18Speaker 5: It was like, it was like your truck, but Carolina squatted.
- 10:21Speaker 4: You get a two fifty because it's bigger and it's
- 10:24Speaker 4: higher off the ground. Let's squat it. Yeah, sense right.
- 10:30Speaker 4: People are the worst. Hey, Bud, that was your truck
- 10:34Speaker 4: at U Club. You suck the want to let you know.
- 10:36Speaker 4: Oh it is good. So it's a terrible decision. All
- 10:40Speaker 4: of your other life choices because of that.
- 10:43Speaker 5: Hey, you didn't even have to bring him his energy drinks.
- 10:45Speaker 8: I know.
- 10:46Speaker 5: He asked how are you doing this morning?
- 10:51Speaker 4: Them fired me, how's it going, Taylor? Well let me
- 10:54Speaker 4: tell you, I tell you, And then he brought up
- 10:56Speaker 4: the truck and it made me even that how much time.
- 10:59Speaker 2: He got three hours, man, I two fifty squatted. That's aggressive,
- 11:05Speaker 2: that's it. And it's rare, too rare enough that if
- 11:08Speaker 2: he's listening, he knows we're talking to him.
- 11:10Speaker 4: And he was a U club last week.
- 11:12Speaker 5: Yeah on Sunday.
- 11:13Speaker 2: Well, whoever you are, your car's done. Yeah, it's my
- 11:19Speaker 2: objectively true.
- 11:20Speaker 7: Exactly in fact, like there is no functional reason for
- 11:23Speaker 7: you to have the back of your truck lower to
- 11:27Speaker 7: the ground than the front of your truck is.
- 11:28Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Like you remember like when Drew Brees because he was
- 11:32Speaker 2: so short, had like in the pocket. He had to
- 11:34Speaker 2: kind of like raise his head a little bit like
- 11:36Speaker 2: tilted up, Like is that what you have to do
- 11:38Speaker 2: to see out of a Carolina Squad truck? Yeah?
- 11:40Speaker 4: How do you see out of those?
- 11:41Speaker 2: You're Drew Brees in the pocket?
- 11:44Speaker 4: Oh, there was a guy in my neighborhood the other
- 11:46Speaker 4: day truck and he was getting out to take a
- 11:50Speaker 4: picture of it, like I have to stop sign just
- 11:52Speaker 4: the middle of the neighborhood, gets out to take a picture.
- 11:54Speaker 4: Smallest adult human being seen in my life. Like, I
- 11:58Speaker 4: think he threw I think it's his ladder out and
- 12:01Speaker 4: climb down it like the side of a boat. It
- 12:02Speaker 4: was very embarrassing for him.
- 12:04Speaker 5: Yeah, that's fair.
- 12:16Speaker 2: I can't we can't say that word. But if I,
- 12:18Speaker 2: if I could, I swear I would read that because
- 12:20Speaker 2: it's that good.
- 12:22Speaker 4: All right, Well you can, you can replace it.
- 12:24Speaker 2: Yeah, but it doesn't it doesn't hit. It's not fair
- 12:26Speaker 2: to the comment the comments too good to edit. I mean,
- 12:30Speaker 2: it's like when a song's like hitting and then you
- 12:32Speaker 2: hear the edited version. It's like that, you know, not
- 12:36Speaker 2: the same. It's not cool to cuss or anything. But
- 12:38Speaker 2: that didn't that didn't hit the same.
- 12:39Speaker 6: I don't know if I would bring that point up,
- 12:41Speaker 6: because we're about to play a lot of edited songs today.
- 12:43Speaker 5: Sons.
- 12:47Speaker 6: Well, it's usually R and B, but we're gonna go
- 12:51Speaker 6: nineties early two thousand, lust break your.
- 12:57Speaker 4: Neck, gonna we're gonna break some neck. We found an
- 12:59Speaker 4: edited verse version of that way it would just be silent.
- 13:05Speaker 5: Yes, that's it.
- 13:11Speaker 2: Yep, that's definitely there. We'll make it do what to do?
- 13:14Speaker 2: We found a trapped version of Frozen one time to play.
- 13:17Speaker 5: We'll figure it out.
- 13:18Speaker 2: We'll figure it out, all right. We do have a
- 13:21Speaker 2: lot to get to when we come back. LSU spring football,
- 13:24Speaker 2: LSU baseball, and win over Louisiana Tech. We've got LSU
- 13:28Speaker 2: women's basketball coming up. Coach Mulkey going to join us
- 13:31Speaker 2: later than she normally does. It's going to be nine thirty,
- 13:35Speaker 2: is what it's looking like because she's on the West coast.
- 13:37Speaker 2: Dad's going to join us today. So a lot going

- 16:50Speaker 6: about the airwaves brd them, stole them. I don't know

- 18:34Speaker 6: get feeling better, feeling awesome, get hydrated, get vitaminized, go
- 18:39Speaker 6: flow ivy.
- 18:43Speaker 4: Feeling awesome.
- 18:46Speaker 2: Just imagine if you go get an IV while listening
- 18:48Speaker 2: to bus rhymes.
- 18:49Speaker 4: That's what I'm saying.
- 18:50Speaker 6: If you get an IV like you feel like you're
- 18:52Speaker 6: listening to bust rhymes all day long.
- 18:53Speaker 2: But imagine if it was an amalgamation of both. And
- 18:58Speaker 2: if you go to go flow you probably learn words
- 18:59Speaker 2: like that as well.
- 19:00Speaker 4: Exactly.
- 19:01Speaker 2: All right, Spring football started yesterday. I know Tata went
- 19:05Speaker 2: out there for a little bit, heard a playlist that
- 19:08Speaker 2: he really enjoyed. He was fist pumping his entire way
- 19:12Speaker 2: down the practice field.
- 19:13Speaker 4: Taits A.
- 19:14Speaker 2: Give us some reports from Elshu's first day spring football.
- 19:17Speaker 4: Well, first off, anytime you show up and you hear
- 19:20Speaker 4: Katy Perry's California Girls, you know it's pretty much Naty
- 19:23Speaker 4: Year one. I mean that's at this point. So everyone
- 19:26Speaker 4: out there go place your bets in Vegas or wherever.
- 19:30Speaker 4: Not a year one for Lane kiffen with that type
- 19:32Speaker 4: of playlist. Yeah, look, guys, word around the campfire is
- 19:36Speaker 4: Lanta Clark spins it a little bit. I mean the
- 19:38Speaker 4: ball just it just it comes out quick. Your arm
- 19:42Speaker 4: telling yeah, good on. I hate that saying yeah, it
- 19:49Speaker 4: just it comes out quick, because I mean they were
- 19:50Speaker 4: doing a lot of the short passing game, and he
- 19:52Speaker 4: looks good out there. And Sam Levitt participated in every
- 19:56Speaker 4: single thing except for eleven on eleven, so I mean,
- 19:58Speaker 4: any any throwing drill, any routes on air. Lev It
- 20:01Speaker 4: was out there and he was he was QB one
- 20:03Speaker 4: out there, as we all expected. Kiff had met with
- 20:06Speaker 4: the media for about twenty five minutes after and uh, Matt,
- 20:10Speaker 4: I know you've been bringing up Trey does Green. How
- 20:13Speaker 4: about this one for you? Lane Kiffin says, Trey does
- 20:15Speaker 4: Green is ultra elite, So that's obviously good news, like
- 20:19Speaker 4: five star plus it is. He said he's got he
- 20:22Speaker 4: said he's got three of them. He said Trey does
- 20:25Speaker 4: is one. He said TDD Bennerfield's another one. I mean
- 20:27Speaker 4: he called those two guys out by name, So yeah,
- 20:31Speaker 4: and ultra Elite's gotta be good. But that's a special package.
- 20:35Speaker 4: We offer. The biggest thing to take away is all
- 20:39Speaker 4: the receivers are big. I mean they're they're they're big,
- 20:41Speaker 4: like you can. It doesn't look like like we loved
- 20:44Speaker 4: Aaron Anderson. I get it, but like it's it's not
- 20:46Speaker 4: Aaron Anderson. It's six two six three guys out there.
- 20:49Speaker 4: And then Jake, I know you. You guys bring up
- 20:51Speaker 4: the running back room of Harlem Berry and Kayden Durham.
- 20:54Speaker 4: Look out for Dylan Jones and uh, anyone that has
- 20:57Speaker 4: just watched the practice videos and you don't have a roster.
- 21:00Speaker 4: Dylan Jones is number thirteen on those practice videos. He's
- 21:03Speaker 4: listed at like five eleven, two fifteen. He looks even
- 21:06Speaker 4: bigger than that. I mean he is a stocky dude.
- 21:08Speaker 4: He looks like he's ready to go right now. Like
- 21:10Speaker 4: if you're trying to find a short yard each back,
- 21:12Speaker 4: Dylan Jones might be that guy. So, I mean, again,
- 21:14Speaker 4: not a ton from day one, a lot of routes
- 21:17Speaker 4: on air stuff, but uh, yeah, there were some guys
- 21:19Speaker 4: that stood out.
- 21:20Speaker 2: Yeah, Dylan Jones coming over from Wisconsin, so you're going
- 21:23Speaker 2: to be another new addition to the LSU squad.
- 21:26Speaker 6: A lot of new editions I hit the seats for
- 21:29Speaker 6: the media weren't the best yesterday.
- 21:32Speaker 4: Well, so you got like you got four full fields
- 21:34Speaker 4: and then the fifth one. That's the half. It's like
- 21:36Speaker 4: media is in one corner, first string way over there
- 21:39Speaker 4: in the opposite field corner where you can't even rediating
- 21:41Speaker 4: the nump.
- 21:42Speaker 2: You got to breed the binoculars.
- 21:43Speaker 4: Guys.
- 21:43Speaker 2: Yeah, no, amateur hour.
- 21:48Speaker 4: I love I left my at home. I know as
- 21:52Speaker 4: you could hear the music. The music is great. To Kasha,
- 21:58Speaker 4: we'll TikTok on the clock.
- 22:02Speaker 2: I know when benefit was mentioned like you, he probably
- 22:05Speaker 2: like shoot up wherever you were sitting and gave yourself
- 22:07Speaker 2: like a.
- 22:07Speaker 4: Lit So I was standing up in the press conference
- 22:09Speaker 4: with the camera. I had to sit down. I was like, guys,
- 22:12Speaker 4: we can't do this. We're in a public setting. We
- 22:14Speaker 4: gotta say that.
- 22:15Speaker 2: Hey, I'll tell you what though, to your credit, I mean,
- 22:17Speaker 2: you were like day one when he signed from Boise
- 22:20Speaker 2: State transferred over like that was your guy.
- 22:22Speaker 4: You pointed him out.
- 22:23Speaker 2: And I've heard nothing but good things about him coaches
- 22:28Speaker 2: media whoever, and he certainly looks the part as well.
- 22:31Speaker 4: Yeah he does. And again, my favorite thing about Bennifield
- 22:34Speaker 4: is I think it allows DeShawn Spears to go down
- 22:36Speaker 4: and play Star. Now he wasn't at start. I okay,
- 22:39Speaker 4: let's back up. He allows DeShawn Spears to play NICKL
- 22:43Speaker 4: howbout that match? To like that better? Look, I'm just
- 22:47Speaker 4: calling it what it's called it, Blake Baker's defense. It's fair.
- 22:50Speaker 4: He wasn't there a ton yesterday. But I mean, the
- 22:52Speaker 4: guy's six three two twenty, Like, you gotta imagine he's
- 22:54Speaker 4: gonna get a shot at that.
- 23:00Speaker 6: So it's called him Blake Baker's defense or what people
- 23:03Speaker 6: call it when they talk about Blake Baker's defense.
- 23:05Speaker 5: You know what now that he asked Blake and Blake,
- 23:08Speaker 5: I don't think about that. I feel like Blake has
- 23:12Speaker 5: called it star on this show. Maybe I don't know.
- 23:15Speaker 4: Yeah, Like I feel like people got it from somewhere
- 23:18Speaker 4: because I never really heard it until he was here.
- 23:20Speaker 5: Anyways, Hmmm, I don't think it matters that.
- 23:27Speaker 4: Much to.
- 23:30Speaker 5: You're the only one that it matters that much.
- 23:32Speaker 4: Really bothers me.
- 23:35Speaker 5: Text him and ask him and let him know that
- 23:37Speaker 5: it bothers you.
- 23:38Speaker 4: It was nice to see some videos. Ever want to
- 23:41Speaker 4: argue about it.
- 23:41Speaker 2: The guys that are going to be true freshman guys
- 23:43Speaker 2: early enrollees. Obviously, now in college football, that's become in vogue,
- 23:49Speaker 2: like it's it's surprising if you don't like I know,
- 23:51Speaker 2: Lamar Brown's won a few that's not going to be here.
- 23:54Speaker 2: But I'll tell you what, rich And Anderson looks the
- 23:57Speaker 2: part in his uniform. So it's good to get those
- 23:59Speaker 2: guys out there. You know, I'm glad that I didn't.
- 24:02Speaker 4: If I'm being.
- 24:02Speaker 2: Honest with you, I really enjoyed my senior spring in
- 24:05Speaker 2: high school. It was an awesome time, guys, chance to
- 24:08Speaker 2: play soccer for my brother and play sports and hang
- 24:11Speaker 2: out one last little time. But it is a massive
- 24:14Speaker 2: advantage I think for those guys to get here compared
- 24:17Speaker 2: to the ones that don't.
- 24:18Speaker 4: I agree.
- 24:19Speaker 2: I just I wish, Yeah, I don't want to yell
- 24:22Speaker 2: my lawn again.
- 24:25Speaker 4: I don't like the early enrolling. I hate it. Yeah,
- 24:29Speaker 4: wish it was out loud. You wish she was outlaw?
- 24:34Speaker 4: All right, Well, Lamar Brown's not there. Well you can't.
- 24:39Speaker 6: You can't be on like the same side of wanting
- 24:43Speaker 6: to fix the college football schedule like the calendar year,
- 24:47Speaker 6: and then also before the early enroly like it doesn't
- 24:50Speaker 6: it doesn't match up. I don't know, man, I mean
- 24:55Speaker 6: you can't. You can't match up because you can't. Like
- 24:58Speaker 6: part of fixing the calendar would be moved on in
- 25:00Speaker 6: a back that's where it.
- 25:02Speaker 4: Used to be. What he's outside of the calendar just February, Yeah,
- 25:07Speaker 4: I mean that'd be part of a lot.
- 25:09Speaker 2: Even when it was just February. Guys were getting but it.
- 25:12Speaker 4: Was very rare. The great the gray shirt situation was very.
- 25:16Speaker 2: They had that too, But you could get you could
- 25:18Speaker 2: get a waiver sign where you still could come early
- 25:21Speaker 2: and then your scholarship technically didn't start until February. Sure,
- 25:26Speaker 2: you know how you know how it is. There's gonna
- 25:28Speaker 2: be things, There's gonna be ways around all of this. So, uh,
- 25:31Speaker 2: Sam Levitt was out there as well. I know that
- 25:34Speaker 2: he's not going to be a full participant, but it
- 25:36Speaker 2: was nice to see him out there trying to work
- 25:38Speaker 2: on some of that timing. And I'm gonna throw it
- 25:39Speaker 2: to our quarterback. You're a new offense, you're in a
- 25:44Speaker 2: new spot. You can't fully go through spring practice, But
- 25:47Speaker 2: how important is it to maybe just be out there
- 25:48Speaker 2: and throwing what the guys you're gonna be throwing to
- 25:50Speaker 2: in the fall.
- 25:51Speaker 6: That's the most important part is that, I mean the eleventh.
- 25:53Speaker 6: Like I've been pretty vocal about that, there's not a
- 25:56Speaker 6: lot that you can do in spring that really matters.
- 25:59Speaker 6: That's a good it's a good time time for coaches
- 26:01Speaker 6: to get a little bit of evaluation. But as soon
- 26:04Speaker 6: as Spring price is over, that that worthless spring game
- 26:08Speaker 6: is over. You never go back and watch spring film again.
- 26:11Speaker 6: You don't really talk about it. It's just a little
- 26:13Speaker 6: bit of evaluation. Yeah, that's all it really is. It's
- 26:16Speaker 6: the throwing. It's that what he's kind of doing. Getting
- 26:20Speaker 6: timing with your receivers is obviously very important. Yeah, that's
- 26:23Speaker 6: something you got to.
- 26:24Speaker 4: Do year round.
- 26:26Speaker 6: You got to do it multiple times a week, if
- 26:28Speaker 6: not daily. And so that's the most important part. Now,
- 26:33Speaker 6: this this spring is a way more intriguing than any
- 26:35Speaker 6: other Spring would be, just because of Lane Kiffin factor,
- 26:39Speaker 6: so and just seeing how he coaches, seeing the sweet playlist, all.
- 26:43Speaker 4: The good stuff, like all that stuff.
- 26:45Speaker 6: So I mean to me, you're not going to hear
- 26:47Speaker 6: me wax poetically about much in spring Wall just because
- 26:51Speaker 6: I don't really like Yeah, the quarterback backup quarterback battle.
- 26:55Speaker 4: Is going to be there same love it. You'd like to.
- 26:58Speaker 6: You want to see all these guys that you've been
- 26:59Speaker 6: reaching about and hear it about that's the coolest part
- 27:02Speaker 6: about spring. But you're not gonna get any big news
- 27:05Speaker 6: coming out, Oh this this guy's going to be he's
- 27:07Speaker 6: the starter, yeah.
- 27:08Speaker 2: Or you know they You're not gonna get any of that.
- 27:10Speaker 2: That's where you start the process. Like if you're in
- 27:12Speaker 2: a position battle, that's where the process starts. You're not
- 27:15Speaker 2: gonna win the job in the spring unless the other
- 27:17Speaker 2: guy just falls completely on his face.
- 27:19Speaker 6: I mean, you can lose the job, certainly, but it's
- 27:23Speaker 6: often never gonna happen. It's kind of like saying, if
- 27:25Speaker 6: like one person in the battle like completely it's penciling
- 27:28Speaker 6: ones who's going to be at the front of the
- 27:29Speaker 6: line during summer workouts.
- 27:31Speaker 4: Yeah, it's pretty much what's happening. Yeah.
- 27:33Speaker 2: I always because I was in a position battle every
- 27:35Speaker 2: year I was here. It was always all right. In spring,
- 27:38Speaker 2: I still want to be like you said, I want
- 27:40Speaker 2: to be in the front of the lines or at
- 27:42Speaker 2: least right there and have a chance in fall camp
- 27:45Speaker 2: to be able to go win the job. That's where
- 27:47Speaker 2: jobs are want for sure, right you place yourself in
- 27:49Speaker 2: the spring and win your job.
- 27:51Speaker 4: Or lose it. And the other thing that can happen
- 27:53Speaker 4: is like leaders can start to like the vocal leaders.
- 27:56Speaker 2: Can start already started probably in their fourth quarter programs
- 27:59Speaker 2: whatever they call it.
- 28:00Speaker 4: That that was probably the biggest thing Lane said in
- 28:02Speaker 4: his press conference yesterday. You were talking about leaders. I
- 28:05Speaker 4: told you you mentioned Tradas and time benefit by name.
- 28:08Speaker 4: Tredan was yeah. The third one was Jordan's Seaton. But
- 28:11Speaker 4: Lane went a step further and said, look, sometimes you
- 28:13Speaker 4: know I'll show up here. It's eight o'clock on a
- 28:16Speaker 4: Sunday night. He's like Jordan Seton's out there on the
- 28:17Speaker 4: field by himself, doing his own thing, going through his
- 28:20Speaker 4: own workouts. The guy's dropped thirty pounds since he's been
- 28:22Speaker 4: on good He was like three thirty five. I think
- 28:24Speaker 4: he's like three oh seven now. And I mean Lane,
- 28:27Speaker 4: like that was fast. He's all in on that guy,
- 28:29Speaker 4: nic how do I do that?
- 28:32Speaker 5: So he just got on.
- 28:34Speaker 2: Campis if I was to ask how somebody did that? Lie,
- 28:38Speaker 2: that's right, that's somebody. Also, like he understands he's got
- 28:42Speaker 2: to work his butt off. He understands he's going to
- 28:44Speaker 2: a different league. He understands that he was highly touted
- 28:47Speaker 2: and this is his third year in college football. What
- 28:49Speaker 2: can you do after three years? You can go professional,
- 28:51Speaker 2: So he understands this is a massive year for him.
- 28:53Speaker 2: He's going to be blocking Sunday players every week in
- 28:56Speaker 2: the SEC. So knowing that if there's ever a time
- 29:00Speaker 2: to make sure that you're coming correct, it is this time.
- 29:04Speaker 2: Because you were so highly touted, because you're so thought of.
- 29:08Speaker 2: If you do the things that we think you can do,
- 29:10Speaker 2: you will maybe be the first offensive lineman off the
- 29:13Speaker 2: board in next year's draft. So yeah, it's a big
- 29:16Speaker 2: year for a guy like that, And so good on
- 29:18Speaker 2: him for understanding in March. You start that now, because
- 29:23Speaker 2: if you started in August, it's too late. You started
- 29:27Speaker 2: into July, it's too late, right, so interested, So good
- 29:30Speaker 2: on him. Do y'all want to hear something? Do you'll
- 29:35Speaker 2: want to punch the air for a little bit?
- 29:38Speaker 4: Is it football related related? Is it worth taking a
- 29:42Speaker 4: break for?
- 29:44Speaker 7: No?
- 29:45Speaker 4: Okay, go ahead if you want to.
- 29:50Speaker 6: Like it got me thinking about what Tota just said,
- 29:53Speaker 6: Like the receiver room, they were big, they just looked
- 29:55Speaker 6: physically not well.
- 29:56Speaker 4: We kind of heard that this past year right going
- 29:59Speaker 4: to the year. Well, I was thinking about that.
- 30:02Speaker 6: If you want a reason as an l football fan,
- 30:03Speaker 6: just punched the air one last time over last season.
- 30:06Speaker 6: I ran into Micky LIMSs yesterday. Yeah, spoke with him
- 30:11Speaker 6: for a few minutes, just kind of chat around and.
- 30:17Speaker 4: Around.
- 30:18Speaker 2: Would you randomly run into Mickey Loomis at the.
- 30:20Speaker 6: Gas a social at a social place, all right, all right, yeah,
- 30:25Speaker 6: I got you.
- 30:25Speaker 8: Uh.
- 30:26Speaker 6: And so I was talking to him and he remembered.
- 30:30Speaker 6: He was like yeah, and we were talking about Pro
- 30:32Speaker 6: Day and he was like, man, I went to yesterday. Yeah,
- 30:37Speaker 6: I didn't know when many more games.
- 30:39Speaker 4: Nckey, And he was like, my god, he was like
- 30:45Speaker 4: it was impressive. I know.
- 30:47Speaker 8: J D.
- 30:47Speaker 4: Pikel put out a put out a very similar tweet.
- 30:51Speaker 4: He was like, it was it was like the talent
- 30:53Speaker 4: there was incredible.
- 30:55Speaker 2: I had a head coach in the NFL text me
- 30:56Speaker 2: the same thing ya and I was like yeah, yeah,
- 31:02Speaker 2: I know, like yeah, that's an NFL GM saying like
- 31:06Speaker 2: oh my god.
- 31:06Speaker 4: This he's like my guy. He's like, Yared was amazing.
- 31:09Speaker 6: He's like this other like you had a linebacker run
- 31:11Speaker 6: a four four like yeah, don't like, how did y'all
- 31:13Speaker 6: not win more games. We adults in the room.
- 31:15Speaker 4: Pretty clear.
- 31:16Speaker 2: If Mickey, if you want me to sit you down,
- 31:18Speaker 2: it'll last about thirty seconds.
- 31:22Speaker 7: Okay, I'm gonna put two hands on your shoulders like
- 31:24Speaker 7: this and just say, Brian Kelly, Yeah.
- 31:26Speaker 4: I told him it was the adults in the room.
- 31:28Speaker 4: Did you Oh, it's so good, so good? Well?
- 31:34Speaker 5: Did you ask him like, how did you not win
- 31:36Speaker 5: more games?
- 31:37Speaker 2: Or he's probably like, well because I didn't have these guys.
- 31:39Speaker 6: I was like, what nice job top draft last year?
- 31:42Speaker 6: Did you did you tell him? I said, I told
- 31:45Speaker 6: him he's on a heater. Did you said, where's your
- 31:47Speaker 6: metal but he's not wearing it?
- 31:49Speaker 4: Yeah? Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah obviously.
- 31:56Speaker 2: Man, all right, we're gonna take a break and go
- 32:00Speaker 2: punch the air. Thanks matter more O TV off the

- 33:58Speaker 2: Favor you so many get out of poison. You're in trouble.
- 34:02Speaker 2: I get it, though. I like shrimp too, though, are
- 34:11Speaker 2: they the most elite?
- 34:15Speaker 5: Crab is pretty great?
- 34:17Speaker 4: I do, I do? I do love some trimp. Crab's good.
- 34:20Speaker 2: Crab's good for sure. It's what it's work work for it,
- 34:23Speaker 2: which maybe that makes work for maybe that makes it better.
- 34:27Speaker 4: You know, it's a chase.
- 34:29Speaker 5: Good things come to those who wait.
- 34:31Speaker 6: I mean, I love oysters too, but I don't like
- 34:36Speaker 6: a big oyster though. That's my only problem. Oyster is
- 34:40Speaker 6: pretty versatile. I know, I love a good oyster. Be
- 34:45Speaker 6: real honest with you. I don't really know of a seafood.
- 34:48Speaker 4: I don't like a good point.
- 34:50Speaker 2: I mean, there's got to be something, yeah, I haven't
- 34:53Speaker 2: met it yet.
- 34:54Speaker 4: It probably is. You're probably not that they don't serve.
- 34:57Speaker 4: I love.
- 35:00Speaker 2: Gallops, sluff fish. Trimp had to make me talk like
- 35:06Speaker 2: Bubba Gump out here about.
- 35:10Speaker 6: I hadn't had a long time. They still make shrimp scampies. Yeah,
- 35:14Speaker 6: seen a shrimp SCAMPI in a while. You got a
- 35:16Speaker 6: more Talian restaurants man.
- 35:19Speaker 2: Uh shrimp scampy pizza CPK.
- 35:21Speaker 4: They used to do.
- 35:22Speaker 2: Used to get that at the Red Lobster Red Lobster Wow,
- 35:26Speaker 2: or you can.
- 35:27Speaker 4: Get you can get Trimp scampyon and Olive Gordon red Lobster.
- 35:30Speaker 4: What are you doing in a red lobster biscuit? When
- 35:32Speaker 4: I was growing up?
- 35:34Speaker 2: Yes, bus a pretty good, pretty good. In my memory
- 35:38Speaker 2: of the biscuit is you didn't buy the biscuits at
- 35:41Speaker 2: the store.
- 35:41Speaker 4: So we were in middle school, my mom would buy
- 35:43Speaker 4: the Cheddarbabe red lobster mixed so good. Yeah all right, now,
- 35:51Speaker 4: in fairness, I hadn't been to one on purpose since
- 35:53Speaker 4: I was a child. Fair very fair. Are they still
- 35:57Speaker 4: with us? I don't know. Are they operating? Yeah?
- 36:00Speaker 5: I think it's still open. I think so. I'm pretty sure.
- 36:05Speaker 6: Is that the only location is the only one I
- 36:07Speaker 6: know of at least. What is it can't be It
- 36:10Speaker 6: can't be. What's a restaurant.
- 36:14Speaker 4: After the show.
- 36:15Speaker 2: It can't be doing great. You gotta think it's gotta be.
- 36:18Speaker 2: Uh it's a front four out of five stars moving
- 36:20Speaker 2: money through there. It's like a mattress store. Yeah, like
- 36:25Speaker 2: it's like watching those art.
- 36:28Speaker 4: What is a chain that is? Real quick?
- 36:30Speaker 2: I do want to make one more point about Spring
- 36:34Speaker 2: real quick, Okay, a chain restaurant that is no longer
- 36:37Speaker 2: with us that you wish would come back?
- 36:39Speaker 4: Ben again. I went to before it's the Amazon Center
- 36:45Speaker 4: where the Mulla Cortana.
- 36:47Speaker 2: Was and when they're and they had one in front
- 36:48Speaker 2: of them all yeah, right there, and it was it
- 36:50Speaker 2: was great. The money Crisco.
- 36:52Speaker 4: You used to get those if you got the kids. Yeah,
- 36:56Speaker 4: you get the little shamrock cookie for the kids. Before
- 36:59Speaker 4: you knew that.
- 36:59Speaker 6: Was kind of bad for you, you know, I mean
- 37:01Speaker 6: it's the what the the restaurant in Office Space was
- 37:06Speaker 6: modeled after, right with the flair?
- 37:09Speaker 4: Yeah the suspension?
- 37:10Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, good spot. I don't even know if it's good, but.
- 37:18Speaker 5: Maybe stuff on the walk that's like where my mind
- 37:21Speaker 5: first went. But I can't think of anything else.
- 37:24Speaker 4: Somebody said Logan's Roadhouse. I get it Texas, so.
- 37:28Speaker 5: I'm pretty sure there's still some Logan.
- 37:31Speaker 4: Logans.
- 37:32Speaker 5: Somebody once told me about this place called Steak and
- 37:35Speaker 5: l but I've never had it.
- 37:36Speaker 4: But they said that Tyler.
- 37:40Speaker 5: Yeah, people say that when they missed that one, but
- 37:42Speaker 5: I don't think I ever had it.
- 37:44Speaker 2: I did listening, said ponchos did you have Oh the
- 37:53Speaker 2: sofa pea is there.
- 37:57Speaker 6: Which is a weird take. I know we don't have
- 37:59Speaker 6: to expand on it. I respect you, don't. I respect them,
- 38:05Speaker 6: respect them, and I respect the people like them. I
- 38:06Speaker 6: just never like I'm more of a savory guy when
- 38:08Speaker 6: I go make the restaurant.
- 38:10Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah it was. It was a good finisher.
- 38:14Speaker 2: I thinks is gone.
- 38:15Speaker 4: To somebody in the jammage and shonyes. There might be
- 38:19Speaker 4: a few not around, I don't think so.
- 38:21Speaker 5: I think there's one across the bridge.
- 38:23Speaker 4: No, No, that's been I always been for a long time.
- 38:27Speaker 5: I always see the billboard.
- 38:28Speaker 4: I think they're like the signs still loves yeah.
- 38:31Speaker 5: To you know the Boston markets. No, dang, I used
- 38:35Speaker 5: to love Boston.
- 38:36Speaker 4: Do they have TJ I f anymore? I don't they
- 38:39Speaker 4: don't want to to Orlando. I know because I stayed
- 38:42Speaker 4: in the hotels for Universal. It's like one Universal Grounds
- 38:46Speaker 4: basically all right, and I went what September they had
- 38:50Speaker 4: it then? Yeah, yeah, I drove all the way out

- 41:36Speaker 2: Hooddentalcare dot Com six locations here in the greater Baton
- 41:40Speaker 2: Rouge area, hood Dental Care dot Com. All right, the
- 41:46Speaker 2: last point that I didn't want to make about spring
- 41:47Speaker 2: football today, and I mentioned the running backs and Taitsan
- 41:52Speaker 2: mentioned them as well. So last year Cadanen Durham one
- 41:55Speaker 2: hundred and eleven carries five hundred five yards. Harlan Barry
- 41:58Speaker 2: one hundred and four for four ninety one and now
- 42:01Speaker 2: Cayden Durham four point six yards per Carrie, Harlan Barry
- 42:04Speaker 2: four point seven yards per Carrie. Like that's actually not
- 42:09Speaker 2: bad regardless, Like you want to get over four and
- 42:11Speaker 2: a half. That's always a goal as a running back
- 42:13Speaker 2: in college, and both of them did that. What's remarkable
- 42:16Speaker 2: is they did it in the scheme that they did
- 42:17Speaker 2: it in. It's incredibly remarkable because we would watch tape
- 42:22Speaker 2: and we did film breakdowns every week, and when we
- 42:25Speaker 2: were watching it together, we said, where do you tell
- 42:29Speaker 2: them to run? And I didn't have an answer because
- 42:32Speaker 2: it wasn't clean, it wasn't defined, it wasn't real run plays,
- 42:36Speaker 2: just wasn't There was no diversity. We've talked about that,
- 42:38Speaker 2: don't need to rehash that. I bring all that up
- 42:41Speaker 2: to say, if they did that in what they were in,
- 42:45Speaker 2: you should be very excited about what they can do
- 42:48Speaker 2: and what they're going to be in. This is an
- 42:52Speaker 2: offense the staff that wants to run the football more
- 42:57Speaker 2: than anything that they do. They want to run the
- 43:00Speaker 2: football and you can say there's no way the numbers
- 43:03Speaker 2: back it up, and when you talk to them, they'll
- 43:05Speaker 2: back it up. I had Lane tell me last year
- 43:09Speaker 2: at media day how important running the football was in
- 43:13Speaker 2: their offense, and we were kind of going, this is
- 43:14Speaker 2: like off air. We're kind of going through it, and
- 43:16Speaker 2: he's like, Yeah, if we ran the football like we're
- 43:19Speaker 2: supposed to, we beat Kentucky and LSU that year and
- 43:22Speaker 2: we're playing in the playoff, He's like, we couldn't close
- 43:24Speaker 2: it out in four minutes, Like it is a point
- 43:26Speaker 2: of emphasis. Is my point in this offense to be
- 43:29Speaker 2: able to get it done. That's why you see so
- 43:30Speaker 2: much diversity in the run game. And when we say diversity,
- 43:33Speaker 2: it means inside zone, outside zone, power, counter.
- 43:37Speaker 4: Pool, lead draw.
- 43:39Speaker 2: All of that duo is available to you where LSU
- 43:43Speaker 2: was inside zone a little bit of duo.
- 43:45Speaker 4: And a couple of counters. Yeah.
- 43:49Speaker 6: I guess that's probably the misconception a lot, and we've
- 43:51Speaker 6: talked about that, Like the misconception of Lane Kiffin's offense
- 43:54Speaker 6: is that they do run it so much. Some people
- 43:56Speaker 6: think it's an air raid something and it's fast because
- 44:00Speaker 6: it's fast, right, and quarterbacks usually do have a lot
- 44:04Speaker 6: of stats and have a lot of passing yards because
- 44:07Speaker 6: the best friend of a quarterback, the best friend of
- 44:09Speaker 6: a passing game is a good running game.
- 44:12Speaker 4: Thank you, and you're welcome. We shoul come best friends. Nope.
- 44:17Speaker 6: Okay, so you're talking about like the running game, like
- 44:22Speaker 6: where do you run? If you're a running backs coach,
- 44:24Speaker 6: what do you actually tell your guys? Because you can
- 44:26Speaker 6: pull clips out and it's like it's just like an
- 44:29Speaker 6: opposite of a highlight film. You can do a low
- 44:30Speaker 6: light foul, right, so he's a highlight film. Anybody can
- 44:33Speaker 6: look like the best quarterback in the world for a
- 44:35Speaker 6: handful of plays throughout the season. Now you can pull
- 44:37Speaker 6: out low lights and be like, well, look at Harlem,
- 44:39Speaker 6: missed this readout here? Okay, miss this read right here?
- 44:42Speaker 6: And you see, like where's the vision at Well, if
- 44:44Speaker 6: you look at the game as a whole, like there's
- 44:47Speaker 6: scar tissue on a lot of things. Sometimes like when
- 44:50Speaker 6: there's nothing to see, it's kind of like a quarterback
- 44:52Speaker 6: when he's getting hit in the face every single time,
- 44:55Speaker 6: and then there's one play where he doesn't get hit
- 44:56Speaker 6: in the face, it's like, oh he's a little jumpy, right, Well,
- 44:59Speaker 6: the same thing you have with the running back if
- 45:00Speaker 6: like nothing's there, nothing, they're nothing there, Like you're not
- 45:02Speaker 6: practicing getting your read you're not practicing reading your cues
- 45:05Speaker 6: and your blocks. Then all of a sudden, for ten
- 45:08Speaker 6: plays there's nothing. Then all of a sudden, one there's
- 45:10Speaker 6: like a backside cut you could have made. It's like, yeah,
- 45:12Speaker 6: you missed it. But look at the game, like the
- 45:15Speaker 6: totality of the game and what's happening, like you can't
- 45:18Speaker 6: really expect them that to happen. So I can't wait
- 45:20Speaker 6: to see what those two running backs can do because
- 45:22Speaker 6: what they did this year from a staff perspective, was
- 45:24Speaker 6: pretty incredible.
- 45:25Speaker 2: Yeap, when they had success with what was in front
- 45:28Speaker 2: of them, it's even more impressive.
- 45:30Speaker 4: All Right, we'll take a break.
- 45:31Speaker 2: When we come back, we'll break down Elshu's win over
- 45:33Speaker 2: Louisian Tech last.
