- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, welcome to the bonus segment for all your podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: listeners out there. Remember it's a three day weekend President's
- 0:07Speaker 1: Day and important day to celebrate. This is a country
- 0:10Speaker 1: where anybody can be president, and if you've seen some
- 0:14Speaker 1: of our presidents, you know anybody can be president. So hey,
- 0:18Speaker 1: members of Congress are leaving at a historic rate. You know,
- 0:24Speaker 1: there's always somebody retiring or somebody decides not to seek reelection,
- 0:27Speaker 1: but more than ever right now, you've got midterm elections
- 0:31Speaker 1: coming up, and you've got more people leaving. Sixty six zho,
- 0:37Speaker 1: sixty members of Congress have decided not to run for
- 0:40Speaker 1: reelection this year. Fifty one House members and nine Senators.
- 0:44Speaker 1: That's more than usual. Last time that many left was
- 0:47Speaker 1: nineteen thirty, so that's almost one hundred years ago. So
- 0:50Speaker 1: you're going to see a lot of big changes coming
- 0:53Speaker 1: up now. Voter ID that's a big, big, big important
- 0:56Speaker 1: thing that will be a major help the Republicans in
- 1:00Speaker 1: the midterms. And it comes to the no voter ID
- 1:03Speaker 1: and anybody voting or over voting or illegal voting. The
- 1:09Speaker 1: only way to stop that is voter ID. Democrats pushing
- 1:14Speaker 1: like crazy to block voter ID Chuck Schumer yelling and
- 1:19Speaker 1: screaming about Jim Crow. Nobody knows what hell Jim Crow
- 1:21Speaker 1: is anymore. But obviously you got to have ID everywhere.
- 1:26Speaker 1: You need ID to get a library, book, to buy
- 1:30Speaker 1: cough medicine, and a drug store. You need ID to
- 1:32Speaker 1: get on a play well. You know, you need voter
- 1:33Speaker 1: ID to get into not photo ID to get into
- 1:37Speaker 1: any office building in New York. If you want to
- 1:39Speaker 1: be on CNN, you got to show them photo ID
- 1:41Speaker 1: to get in a building. You have to have photo
- 1:43Speaker 1: ID to get into Congress. You know you cannot vote
- 1:46Speaker 1: in Congress unless you have photo ID. So obviously blocking
- 1:51Speaker 1: voter ID is absolutely ludicrous. It's insane. But they're so
- 1:54Speaker 1: desperate they even brought a Barack Obama back out of
- 1:59Speaker 1: the dead to push for this. Obama this week, big
- 2:02Speaker 1: push for voter ID. People looking at that as a
- 2:05Speaker 1: sign that the Democrats are panicking if they brought Obama back.
- 2:08Speaker 1: And of course online people found the old video of
- 2:13Speaker 1: Obama voting in twenty twelve, fourteen years ago. But when
- 2:18Speaker 1: he went to vote. In the video, you could see
- 2:20Speaker 1: him proudly pull out his Illinois driver's license from his
- 2:23Speaker 1: wallet to show the poll workers. So just again, the
- 2:27Speaker 1: flip flopping and the ridiculous fighting against voter ID just
- 2:33Speaker 1: tells you what's gonna what Democrats plot when it comes
- 2:36Speaker 1: to voting. Hey, yeah, the Epstein files my new favorite hobby.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Just searching the Epstein files. Just anybody you know, just
- 2:43Speaker 1: type them in there. You'd be amazed. Who comes up?
- 2:46Speaker 1: A lot of college presidents. Boy, these college presidents were
- 2:50Speaker 1: just all over Epstein. Now he was a big donor
- 2:54Speaker 1: to colleges, lots of colleges, Harvard, Mit, all sorts of colleges.
- 2:58Speaker 1: But there was one college bar guard which is here
- 3:01Speaker 1: in the New York State and the president and I
- 3:04Speaker 1: know this guy, Leon Botstein. He's kind of a goofy guy,
- 3:07Speaker 1: but a nice guy. But he was all over Epstein.
- 3:12Speaker 1: If you just google him in the or search him
- 3:14Speaker 1: in the Epstein files, he comes up like eighty seven
- 3:16Speaker 1: thousand times, constantly gushing all over Epstein. Now Epstein is
- 3:22Speaker 1: making donations to his college, and Bard College operates some
- 3:27Speaker 1: high schools. And actually his name comes up twenty five
- 3:31Speaker 1: hundred times in the file, twenty five hundred times. And
- 3:36Speaker 1: I mean there's stuff in it. Not only is he
- 3:38Speaker 1: visiting Epstein, calling Epstein, having lunch with Epstein, writing love
- 3:42Speaker 1: letters to Epstein about how wonderful he is. He invites
- 3:45Speaker 1: Epstein they operate high schools Bard College. He offers Epstein
- 3:51Speaker 1: invites Epstein to come visit the high schools filled with teenagers.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Now some of this is in twenty thirteen. This is
- 4:00Speaker 1: a couple of years after after Epstein got convicted for
- 4:04Speaker 1: you know, sex with underage kids, and as a registered
- 4:09Speaker 1: sex offender, why would you invite him to a high
- 4:11Speaker 1: school filled with teenagers. And if you read the emails
- 4:15Speaker 1: from this college president, Leon Botstein to Epstein, he just
- 4:19Speaker 1: gushes all of him. Look, look at this one. I
- 4:21Speaker 1: greatly cherish our friendship. I have real admiration for how
- 4:26Speaker 1: you go about doing things. And just all these gushing, gushing,
- 4:30Speaker 1: flattering emails to Epstein. Well, if you're barred college and
- 4:35Speaker 1: this is your president, well you know you can't believe
- 4:37Speaker 1: he invited a pervert to a high school filled with
- 4:40Speaker 1: teenage girls. And apparently Botstein getting a little flack, but
- 4:46Speaker 1: he put out a letter to the college and to
- 4:48Speaker 1: the college community. He insisted that the warm tone of
- 4:53Speaker 1: his messages to the sexual predator is a common fundraising practice.
- 4:59Speaker 1: My interaction with Epstein were always and only for the
- 5:02Speaker 1: sole purpose of soliciting donations for the college. Mister Epstein
- 5:06Speaker 1: was not my friend. He was a prospective donor. But
- 5:09Speaker 1: if you go back and read the emails, I value
- 5:12Speaker 1: our friendship. I cherish our friendship. He keeps calling them
- 5:15Speaker 1: a friend. And if that's a standard fundraising technique, I
- 5:19Speaker 1: don't know if you ever donated to a charity or
- 5:20Speaker 1: a college. Oh, you get a nice thank you note,
- 5:23Speaker 1: but they don't gush all over you and tell you
- 5:24Speaker 1: how much today cherish your friendship and all of that.
- 5:28Speaker 1: You know, people leaving New York they're going to Florida,
- 5:31Speaker 1: that you get a lot of that kind of stuff, taxes,
- 5:33Speaker 1: all that sort of stuff. Well, apparently California's got a
- 5:36Speaker 1: bigger problem than New York. More people leave in California,
- 5:40Speaker 1: a fact. Even Mark Zuckerberg purchasing a massive home in Florida.
- 5:45Speaker 1: He's looking to get out. A lot of these tech
- 5:47Speaker 1: guys are moving to Florida. But they got a new problem.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Many of them are just going across the border to
- 5:52Speaker 1: Las Vegas. A lot of wealthy California home buyers are
- 5:56Speaker 1: pouring into Las Vegas because the California's putting up this
- 6:00Speaker 1: health tax, this additional tax, and Mom, Donnie, are you listening,
- 6:04Speaker 1: you put up an additional tax. They do leave lots
- 6:06Speaker 1: of billionaires leave so many high net worth home buyers
- 6:10Speaker 1: from California moving to Las Vegas and the suburbs of
- 6:14Speaker 1: Las Vegas. Taxes, costs a living are the major reasons.
- 6:18Speaker 1: And Nevada has no state income tax, so they're be
- 6:21Speaker 1: getting tons and tons and tons of people coming from California. Hey,
- 6:26Speaker 1: speaking of Zuckerberg, Facebook, it's now called Meta. If you
- 6:29Speaker 1: own stock in Meta, it's way up it was. You know,
- 6:34Speaker 1: it came on the market like fifteen dollars. MetaStock is
- 6:37Speaker 1: now like five hundred dollars. But if you own a
- 6:39Speaker 1: lot of it and you're wondering about the future's thinking
- 6:42Speaker 1: maybe I should sell it. Well, the billionaire activist, the
- 6:45Speaker 1: great hedge fund guy, Bill Ackman, just spent a fortune
- 6:49Speaker 1: on Meta stock Facebook Meta stock. He put about two
- 6:52Speaker 1: billion into it. That's about ten percent of his whole portfolio.
- 6:56Speaker 1: So obviously he's got a lot of confidence in Facebook
- 7:00Speaker 1: book Meta going up. He said he thinks it's the
- 7:03Speaker 1: artificial intelligence arms race that will do it. They're not
- 7:07Speaker 1: really that well known as a great artificial intelligence service,
- 7:11Speaker 1: but Ackman believes Zuckerberg is going to be way ahead
- 7:14Speaker 1: of the game. He's been secretly quietly working on artificial intelligence,
- 7:19Speaker 1: spending a fortune hiring away people. So that could be
- 7:23Speaker 1: the big future of the company. Hey, we keep talking
- 7:26Speaker 1: about Iran. It is the worst regime in the world.
- 7:29Speaker 1: The president has to get regime changed there. This is
- 7:32Speaker 1: the closest we have ever come to getting it with
- 7:35Speaker 1: a huge revolution there. The Ayahtola and his family sending
- 7:40Speaker 1: millions and millions out of the country, Russia offering to
- 7:44Speaker 1: take them. There's a good chance they'll leave. Can't blow
- 7:46Speaker 1: this opportunity. Very very important to change this regime. I've
- 7:51Speaker 1: been telling you these horror stories. Last week they went
- 7:53Speaker 1: into a hospital and they shot patients right in their bed. Well,
- 7:57Speaker 1: now look at this. Here's a Nobel Peace Laurie at
- 8:00Speaker 1: Narje Mohammadi And apparently she went to a rally or something,
- 8:05Speaker 1: so this is the Nobel Peace piece laureate. Iranian forces
- 8:10Speaker 1: beat her to death with wooden sticks and batons, dragged
- 8:14Speaker 1: her by the hair until sections of her scalp tour
- 8:17Speaker 1: kept kicking her in the genitals, leaving unable to sit
- 8:21Speaker 1: or move. They threw her in prison. She's been there
- 8:24Speaker 1: since December, that's two months. The savage beatings continue in prison.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Lawyers and human rights advocates are fighting for her. During arrest,
- 8:35Speaker 1: multiple witnesses they said Iran security forces they saw them
- 8:38Speaker 1: just beat her viciously, throw her into a vehicle. The
- 8:42Speaker 1: beatings continue in prison. This is why you got to
- 8:44Speaker 1: get rid of this regime. And you see protesters for
- 8:47Speaker 1: everything except this, all these crazy left wing protests. There's
- 8:51Speaker 1: the one thing they're not protesting. What's going on in Iran. Hey,
- 8:56Speaker 1: speaking of illegals, now here in New York. Three illegals
- 9:01Speaker 1: decide they'll do some stick ups, and they held up
- 9:05Speaker 1: a couple of places. One was on West forty seventh
- 9:08Speaker 1: between ninth and tenth late at night. The police caught him,
- 9:11Speaker 1: arrested them, charged from robbery, criminal possession of a weapon,
- 9:14Speaker 1: criminal possession of stolen property, menacing, took them to court.
- 9:20Speaker 1: The judge released them. This is what goes on with
- 9:22Speaker 1: these New York judges. The judge decided just to release them,
- 9:26Speaker 1: let them go. In fact, let them sneak out the
- 9:28Speaker 1: back door so that ice would not find them. Just
- 9:32Speaker 1: absolutely awful. This goes on all the time in New York.
- 9:36Speaker 1: So Hey congestion pricing. There's no sign of it ever,
- 9:39Speaker 1: leaving in fact Hochel bragging that it's the States are
- 9:46Speaker 1: making a fortune of it. But it turns out the
- 9:50Speaker 1: governor and her detail. You know, she travels in a
- 9:53Speaker 1: little bit of a motor cage. She's got her car,
- 9:55Speaker 1: police cars behind her. They racked up about one thousand
- 9:58Speaker 1: dollars worth of congestion pricing tolls with her and her
- 10:02Speaker 1: state vehicles to follow her around, but Hokele agreed to
- 10:05Speaker 1: compensate the agency nine dollars for each time she drives
- 10:09Speaker 1: into the city. Now you got to get you got
- 10:12Speaker 1: to get rid of Hochel in November, because it's not
- 10:15Speaker 1: just Hochel. She's picked her lieutenant governor. And for lieutenant
- 10:18Speaker 1: governor she picks the craziest left wing lunatic, former city
- 10:22Speaker 1: council speaker, Adrian Adams, who makes mom Donnie look like
- 10:26Speaker 1: a moderate. So she'll be if Hochele were to win,
- 10:29Speaker 1: she would be the lieutenant governor. And remember a lot
- 10:32Speaker 1: of times the governor leaves and you get the lieutenant
- 10:34Speaker 1: governor's governor. Remember Spitzer left, Cuomo left. It can happen anytime,
- 10:39Speaker 1: so you cannot have her as lieutenant Governor'd be absolutely
- 10:43Speaker 1: the most dangerous thing for New York. Hey, you were
- 10:46Speaker 1: talking about people moving, Obviously a lot of New Yorkers leave,
- 10:49Speaker 1: they go to Florida. For the first time ever, Miami
- 10:55Speaker 1: had more million dollar plus home sales than New York.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Home selling for over a million dollars. New York always
- 11:02Speaker 1: has the most. In fact, we had ten thousand, one
- 11:05Speaker 1: hundred this past year ten thousand, one hundred. Miami had
- 11:11Speaker 1: ten thousand, five hundred. It's the first time they beat us.
- 11:14Speaker 1: Home price is going nuts in Florida, Palm Beach, Miami
- 11:18Speaker 1: homes going for one hundred million, two hundred million, even
- 11:21Speaker 1: the West Coast Naples. But when you get an explosion
- 11:25Speaker 1: in prices and they just go crazy, it usually means
- 11:29Speaker 1: a bubble is coming. It usually means that bubble will burst.
- 11:33Speaker 1: So just bear that in mind if you're thinking of
- 11:35Speaker 1: going to Florida, just wait. That bubble may burst and
- 11:37Speaker 1: the prices may come crashing down. Now, for all these
- 11:41Speaker 1: people moving into Miami, twenty seven percent of them are
- 11:44Speaker 1: coming from New York, but that's not the majority, so
- 11:47Speaker 1: most of them are coming from around the country. Remember Florida,
- 11:51Speaker 1: whenever it's the hottest place on earth, always dies within
- 11:55Speaker 1: ten years. Remember in the late fifties, early sixties, Miami
- 11:59Speaker 1: was the hottest city in America. It was unbelievable, and
- 12:04Speaker 1: then by the end of the decade it was a ghetto.
- 12:07Speaker 1: And then Miamivice came along in the early eighties and
- 12:10Speaker 1: Miami was the hottest place on earth all over again.
- 12:13Speaker 1: And ten years later it was a ghetto all over again.
- 12:15Speaker 1: So that tends to happen in Miami, so don't be
- 12:18Speaker 1: surprised if the bubble bursts down there. Starbucks new CEO,
- 12:24Speaker 1: he's got a long term growth plan. He plans to
- 12:26Speaker 1: open thousands and thousands of new stores. They've redesigned him.
- 12:31Speaker 1: It's more coffee, less food. It's a sleeker, quicker kind
- 12:35Speaker 1: of look. They're trying to do something about the lines.
- 12:37Speaker 1: You know the problem with Starbucks. It's like getting coffee
- 12:39Speaker 1: at the motor vehicle department. You just wait in lines there.
- 12:42Speaker 1: But they're trying to get rid of all that new
- 12:45Speaker 1: menu items, new beverages. They're going to add two thousand
- 12:48Speaker 1: new stores in the next year, two thousand new stores.
- 12:52Speaker 1: They're they're trying to get more people on the app.
- 12:54Speaker 1: You know, the great thing is the app where it's
- 12:57Speaker 1: one thing of If it's food, you pre order, you know,
- 13:00Speaker 1: it's like Chopped with the salads or Chipotle, you pre order,
- 13:06Speaker 1: everything's made, you show up. It's in a bag. You
- 13:08Speaker 1: just grab it and leave. It's different when it's coffee
- 13:10Speaker 1: because it's not going to be the same, it's going
- 13:11Speaker 1: to be sitting there forever, getting stale. Not the same. Hey,
- 13:15Speaker 1: thanks for listening. This has been the bonus segment of
- 13:18Speaker 1: the podcast. Have a great President's Day weekend, and I'll
- 13:21Speaker 1: be back on Tuesday. Curtis will be here for me Monday,
- 13:24Speaker 1: but I'll be back on Tuesday. I'll see you then.
- 13:27Speaker 1: Thanks for listening.
