- 0:17Speaker 2: Fox Sports Radio.
- 0:20Speaker 1: We have a loaded show for you today. We apologize
- 0:23Speaker 1: for all the guests over the last two days. But
- 0:26Speaker 1: I ain't saying no to Ariel Holwani when the Knicks
- 0:31Speaker 1: are playing in the NBA Finals. I pause there because
- 0:34Speaker 1: people might say, well, why wouldn't you say no to
- 0:37Speaker 1: him today?
- 0:37Speaker 3: That's the exact guy you should say no to.
- 0:39Speaker 4: It. No.
- 0:39Speaker 1: I think Ariel represents exactly what Nick fans are thinking
- 0:43Speaker 1: and going through, as well as anyone that I have
- 0:46Speaker 1: spoken to, and so I want the audience to get
- 0:49Speaker 1: a piece of that. I want to share that with
- 0:50Speaker 1: him because he is going insane, He's emotional, and I
- 0:54Speaker 1: want to talk to him about being a nick fit
- 0:55Speaker 1: and what this means to him, what.
- 0:57Speaker 5: A big night is he I'm not gonna lie. I'm
- 0:58Speaker 5: kind of overwhelmed by Nick. I might sit out this
- 1:01Speaker 5: one with Ario.
- 1:03Speaker 1: We have Lucy Rodin as well, Welcome back to Lucy
- 1:07Speaker 1: and Michelle Beadle, the most famous San Antonio Spurs fan
- 1:10Speaker 1: we've had on since Chay Serrato. She will join us
- 1:14Speaker 1: coming up. I'm finding them in hour number two. I
- 1:16Speaker 1: want to try to get a bet together with Taylor
- 1:18Speaker 1: and Beatle. Go ahead, Taylor.
- 1:20Speaker 6: The more people keep saying the words the Knicks and
- 1:23Speaker 6: the NBA Finals together, and the closer we get to
- 1:26Speaker 6: tip off, I feel like I'm getting sick, really, and
- 1:31Speaker 6: my nerves are buildings, saying I've got people texting me
- 1:34Speaker 6: that I haven't talked to in years, and they're texting
- 1:37Speaker 6: me wishing me good luck tonight, Like I'm starting at
- 1:40Speaker 6: shooting guard and I'm playing forty plus minutes.
- 1:42Speaker 5: You know what's great about this, Taylor? Because I thought
- 1:45Speaker 5: about this too. I was like, Man, what would I
- 1:46Speaker 5: feel like if I was a Knicks fan. I'm just
- 1:50Speaker 5: thankful this first two games are not at MSG, like
- 1:53Speaker 5: they need this time to acclimate themselves to.
- 1:56Speaker 3: The big lights, the pressure of it all.
- 1:58Speaker 5: It's like I was saying yesterday, Carl Anthony is probably
- 2:01Speaker 5: gonna show you some old Karl Anthony town stuff, Like
- 2:03Speaker 5: he's maybe a little nervous early on maybe just might
- 2:06Speaker 5: pick up three fouls just so he can recover and
- 2:09Speaker 5: center himself on the bench. But yeah, I think it's
- 2:12Speaker 5: helpful because MSG. Right, imagine Taylor game one, Like, it's
- 2:17Speaker 5: one thing. If they come in too. Oh, if they
- 2:19Speaker 5: win to in San Antonio, it's going to be the
- 2:22Speaker 5: craziest building ever.
- 2:23Speaker 3: It's gonna right party. Yes, if they go down oh two, yeah,
- 2:25Speaker 3: they'll be a little calmer. Well, you're gonna be nervous
- 2:27Speaker 3: because you're down oh two. Yes, but imagine if you
- 2:29Speaker 3: were just kicking off at MSG. It would be wild.
- 2:33Speaker 5: So I think right now it's good sort of get
- 2:35Speaker 5: used to the finals, get used to San Antonio, which
- 2:38Speaker 5: is not too intimidating of a venue, Yes, and then
- 2:41Speaker 5: come home.
- 2:42Speaker 3: I like the take.
- 2:43Speaker 1: It's odd you're saying so, just so we're clear on this,
- 2:45Speaker 1: the Knicks are going to be more relaxed playing on
- 2:47Speaker 1: the road than they would be playing in front of
- 2:49Speaker 1: their home fans.
- 2:50Speaker 3: It's not a terrible take. Take that's why.
- 2:53Speaker 5: Yeah, it's the most pressure packed place. You know, you're
- 2:56Speaker 5: the home team and all these celebrities and these ridiculous
- 2:58Speaker 5: fans and all this history is yelling at you.
- 3:01Speaker 3: The entire time. Go ahead, Mikey, it's walking into the
- 3:03Speaker 3: pool instead of jumping. Yes, correct, going in San Antonio,
- 3:07Speaker 3: you walk in? Get used to it.
- 3:09Speaker 7: Yes, step yes, as opposed to jumping in.
- 3:11Speaker 1: I'm freezing and I'm gonna walk into the pool guy, Right,
- 3:13Speaker 1: it's dipping your toe in the water essentially, is what
- 3:16Speaker 1: it is.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Yes, are you will walk into the pool? Guy, I'm
- 3:18Speaker 3: jump in.
- 3:19Speaker 1: I have Mike as a cannonball every time he goes
- 3:21Speaker 1: into the pool.
- 3:22Speaker 6: No, uh, after the first one, get out and jump
- 3:25Speaker 6: in a bunch. Is he for this next team? I'm
- 3:28Speaker 6: thinking about it tonight. San Antonio is not the building
- 3:32Speaker 6: that that Knicks fans can take over where they have
- 3:35Speaker 6: in the past in these past couple of series. You're
- 3:38Speaker 6: looking at the Atlanta series, You're looking at the Cleveland series,
- 3:41Speaker 6: You're looking at the Philadelphia series. I can't remember the
- 3:43Speaker 6: last time the Knicks played a game that was actually
- 3:46Speaker 6: a true road atmosphere.
- 3:48Speaker 5: There are very few NBA cities where a New Yorker
- 3:53Speaker 5: would not want.
- 3:54Speaker 3: To relocate to.
- 3:55Speaker 5: Right, San Antonio does not feel like a title list,
- 3:58Speaker 5: but where the New Yorkers I'd be like, Yeah, I'm
- 3:59Speaker 5: just gonna go to the San Antonio, Miami great, you
- 4:01Speaker 5: know some of the Atlanta great.
- 4:03Speaker 3: San Antonio not so much, so they can't take it.
- 4:06Speaker 5: And now imagine, like imagine a few Knicks do infiltrate
- 4:09Speaker 5: whatever the Spurs arenas called these days, and then they
- 4:12Speaker 5: don't put on the T shirts and then you just
- 4:14Speaker 5: got like a smattering of Knicks orange and blue, like
- 4:17Speaker 5: just an ey sore in the middle of that, you know, artwork.
- 4:20Speaker 5: That is the San Antonio crowd. That would be great
- 4:23Speaker 5: for Nicks. They didn't take over, you know, the Spurs building,
- 4:26Speaker 5: but they made it obvious that they were there.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Do you think anyone inside the Knicks organization is thinking
- 4:32Speaker 1: along the lines the way is he is thinking in
- 4:34Speaker 1: terms of, hey, happy to be on.
- 4:36Speaker 3: The road for the first two. Let's dip our toe
- 4:38Speaker 3: in the water.
- 4:40Speaker 1: They don't have home court advantage. If there's a Game seven,
- 4:43Speaker 1: it's on San Antonio's home court.
- 4:46Speaker 6: I do agree that you want game seven in your building,
- 4:48Speaker 6: you want Game seven in Madison Square Garden. But I
- 4:51Speaker 6: do think there is something there to what is he saying,
- 4:54Speaker 6: where if the Knicks just steal one of the first
- 4:56Speaker 6: two games, the series shifts back to them. Where the opposite,
- 5:01Speaker 6: all the pressures on you to protect your home court.
- 5:03Speaker 6: I don't think this is the worst spot for the
- 5:05Speaker 6: Knicks to be in.
- 5:06Speaker 3: I don't either.
- 5:06Speaker 5: And I think even though game game one is sort
- 5:09Speaker 5: of normally the most anomaly type of game of a series,
- 5:12Speaker 5: but I think this is going to be Sorry, Taylor,
- 5:15Speaker 5: I think this is a Spurs game tonight. I think
- 5:19Speaker 5: if we already saw what was I mean, technically it
- 5:21Speaker 5: is a Spurs game tonight, it's a Knicks game.
- 5:23Speaker 3: Is I think the Spurs will win the game tonight?
- 5:25Speaker 5: Yes, ste If you remember the previous series, the Cavs series,
- 5:29Speaker 5: what was the closest game, Game one, and it was
- 5:33Speaker 5: after a ton of rest. Yes, And so I feel
- 5:35Speaker 5: like you might be able to might sort of recreate that.
- 5:38Speaker 3: Right.
- 5:38Speaker 5: The Knicks may be sort of figuring things out, the
- 5:41Speaker 5: Spurs riding a little bit of that momentum and being
- 5:44Speaker 5: at home, and they take game one. But Game two,
- 5:47Speaker 5: for me, steals feels imminently stealable.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Yes, this feels like rest versus slightly less rest. Right,
- 5:55Speaker 1: And I got news for you, san Antonio. Is he
- 5:58Speaker 1: better be right? You better get tonight's gabe. If you
- 6:01Speaker 1: let the Knicks get out to like an eighteen to
- 6:03Speaker 1: two lead and they just steamroll you on your home court.
- 6:06Speaker 3: Series is a rap.
- 6:08Speaker 1: It's over and if they don't do that, the Knicks
- 6:10Speaker 1: will still win in five.
- 6:13Speaker 3: But don't let us get started. Do not let us
- 6:15Speaker 3: get started?
- 6:16Speaker 7: Go ahead, Mikey, this is sleep versus nap?
- 6:21Speaker 3: All right? Taylor who has.
- 6:24Speaker 1: Written five Jalen Brunson songs because four wasn't enough. Yes,
- 6:28Speaker 1: and I'm certain there'll be more if they win the
- 6:30Speaker 1: NBA Championship. Here he has a message album like Drake. Listen,
- 6:34Speaker 1: this is a big night for Taylor. I mean, this
- 6:37Speaker 1: guy changes life, the biggest night of his life. Yes,
- 6:40Speaker 1: what happens if they lose?
- 6:41Speaker 7: Here?
- 6:41Speaker 3: What are you gonna do? Like if they lose not
- 6:43Speaker 3: Game one, just the series in.
- 6:44Speaker 8: General, like that, there's no coming back.
- 6:47Speaker 3: You're trying not to think about it really like to
- 6:50Speaker 3: the show, like forever.
- 6:52Speaker 8: I don't want to take it to a dark place.
- 6:54Speaker 3: A big update.
- 6:55Speaker 5: Though you said you were thinking about leaving Wednesday, You're
- 6:58Speaker 5: obviously still here in South Florida. It's not obvious to everybody,
- 7:01Speaker 5: obvious to me. What is the plans are you traveling?
- 7:04Speaker 6: My plan is to be in New York in time
- 7:07Speaker 6: for game two, even though the game is in San Antonio, right,
- 7:11Speaker 6: But it's the biggest game of the series, as you know.
- 7:13Speaker 6: So that's why, yes, exactly, Well, I ran into some hiccups.
- 7:16Speaker 6: You know, I've got a dog if the series go seven,
- 7:20Speaker 6: god forbid, and then I have to stay for the parade?
- 7:23Speaker 6: Is he I'm just trying to I was just trying
- 7:25Speaker 6: to gain any sort of favor I could with my
- 7:28Speaker 6: girlfriend in time for game two. So that's why I
- 7:30Speaker 6: kind of sacrificed Game one.
- 7:33Speaker 3: I'm not going to tell her that. I'm not going
- 7:34Speaker 3: to say that's saying spending time with her. It's called
- 7:36Speaker 3: the sacrifice. I'll keep that between us.
- 7:38Speaker 8: I'll spend time with it.
- 7:40Speaker 1: Click this eclipment that send me the audio so I
- 7:44Speaker 1: can send it to her. He is such a big
- 7:48Speaker 1: nick fan that he named his dog Oakley, and so
- 7:51Speaker 1: he also has a message here, and I'm very excited
- 7:53Speaker 1: to hear this, a message to Wemby in the form
- 7:56Speaker 1: of a song.
- 7:56Speaker 3: Let's play it.
- 8:07Speaker 9: Hey, wem Bin Yama, welcome into New York City. There's
- 8:11Speaker 9: a finals to be played, and I bet you will
- 8:14Speaker 9: play Soshi, Yes, you Will.
- 8:18Speaker 8: Brunson will shine brighter than you New York is dude.
- 8:25Speaker 9: Hey, wem Bin Yama, you should worry about the garden.
- 8:29Speaker 9: It's the mecca for a reason. You can go in
- 8:32Speaker 9: as James Harden.
- 8:34Speaker 4: What a bump.
- 8:36Speaker 8: Brunson and the.
- 8:37Speaker 9: Boys will be the ones to end your run. Oh
- 8:44Speaker 9: first Titus in seventy three. Oh, first titles since seventy three. Oh,
- 8:53Speaker 9: first Titus in seventy three. Oh, first titles in seventy
- 8:59Speaker 9: three titles in seventy three.
- 9:05Speaker 3: All right, I'm just gonna say it's his best one.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, I mean, I got emotional, He moved me.
- 9:10Speaker 5: It used to be where Taylor's singing was so bad
- 9:14Speaker 5: that I was just like, Wow, this is hilarious because
- 9:16Speaker 5: it's bad.
- 9:17Speaker 3: Yes, he puts some effort into that.
- 9:18Speaker 5: He hit a couple of notes, not all of them, right,
- 9:21Speaker 5: not all of them, but he hit a couple of
- 9:23Speaker 5: notes that was nice.
- 9:24Speaker 3: You know, I'm gonna ask for that again.
- 9:25Speaker 1: The most miraculous thing about that is how he wove
- 9:28Speaker 1: webbin Yama into an actual song.
- 9:30Speaker 3: I'm like, how did he do this? Almost as hard
- 9:33Speaker 3: as sand to Koopa one more time?
- 9:36Speaker 4: I was in.
- 9:41Speaker 5: Song choice he's actually playing the guitar, by the way
- 9:43Speaker 5: he is.
- 9:46Speaker 9: Hey, wembin Yama, welcome into New York City. There's a
- 9:50Speaker 9: finals to be played, and I bet you will play, so,
- 9:54Speaker 9: yes you will.
- 9:58Speaker 8: Brunson will shine brighter than you. New York is dude.
- 10:05Speaker 9: Hey, when Bin Yama, you should worry about the Garden.
- 10:08Speaker 9: It's the mecca for a reason. You can go in
- 10:12Speaker 9: as James Harden.
- 10:13Speaker 8: What a bum.
- 10:15Speaker 3: That's straight.
- 10:16Speaker 9: Brunton and the boys will be the ones two end
- 10:20Speaker 9: your run.
- 10:22Speaker 8: Oh first titles in seventy three.
- 10:26Speaker 9: So you don't lights I have, Oh, first titles since
- 10:29Speaker 9: seventy three.
- 10:30Speaker 3: Got put one hand on your ear.
- 10:32Speaker 9: Oh, first titles in seventy three. Oh, first titles in
- 10:38Speaker 9: seventy three, titles in seventy three.
- 10:42Speaker 3: God, that makes me so sad.
- 10:43Speaker 5: I was four years before I was born, and you
- 10:46Speaker 5: guys haven't enjoyed anything.
- 10:47Speaker 3: It makes me so proud.
- 10:50Speaker 8: Beats though, I think I still have a hard time
- 10:52Speaker 8: keeping up with you.
- 10:53Speaker 3: Yeah no, it's tough.
- 10:54Speaker 1: Yeah, So Taylor, as we get closer to tonight's game,
- 10:59Speaker 1: you find yourself getting more and more emotional scared, for
- 11:02Speaker 1: lack of better term, because you don't want the Knicks
- 11:04Speaker 1: to embarrass themselves in the NBA Finals and get you know,
- 11:07Speaker 1: swept in four or lose this thing in five.
- 11:09Speaker 6: Right, Yeah, so the Eastern Conference playoffs, I was confident.
- 11:14Speaker 6: I was confident that the Knicks could get here to
- 11:16Speaker 6: this point. Yeah, now it feels like all bets are
- 11:19Speaker 6: off and it's kind of like a Jesus take the wheel.
- 11:22Speaker 8: You just have to hope you're the better team for
- 11:24Speaker 8: just four games.
- 11:25Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:25Speaker 5: It's interesting too with Wen ben Yama on the way
- 11:28Speaker 5: he thinks, right, so it was clear he thought that
- 11:31Speaker 5: OKC bad for the league, at least on top of
- 11:34Speaker 5: the league.
- 11:35Speaker 3: Right, you got the.
- 11:35Speaker 5: Shay, the unethical hoops, you got all the hacking, you
- 11:37Speaker 5: got all the chat. I mean, come on, I don't
- 11:41Speaker 5: think Wen ben Yama can even say anything negative or
- 11:44Speaker 5: think anything super negative about the Knicks potentially winning Jalen Brunson.
- 11:49Speaker 3: Maybe he throws his head back, maybe.
- 11:51Speaker 5: He flops a little bit, but comparison to SGA, not really.
- 11:55Speaker 5: And they've hadn't had it since seventy three, as noted
- 11:58Speaker 5: by Song, and it's just hey, maybe it's their time.
- 12:01Speaker 5: The Garden's great. So I don't think Victor Weinbinyama has
- 12:04Speaker 5: that deep rooted hatred as much as he just really
- 12:07Speaker 5: wants to finish the deal.
- 12:08Speaker 6: I think Wemby has that showman in him too, to
- 12:10Speaker 6: realize the spectacle of the garden, Like that's true. The
- 12:13Speaker 6: Christmas Game, he put on an absolute show. But there's
- 12:17Speaker 6: also there was a clip going around of Spike Lee
- 12:20Speaker 6: and Victor wen Binyama at an All Star game where
- 12:23Speaker 6: Spike Lee goes up to Victor wen Binyama. They're talking
- 12:26Speaker 6: and Spike Lee's like, I hope to see you in
- 12:28Speaker 6: a finals, like we really want to see you in
- 12:31Speaker 6: the finals, and Victor wen Binyama to Spike Lee says,
- 12:33Speaker 6: I want to see you in the finals.
- 12:35Speaker 4: Two.
- 12:35Speaker 3: Why did Spike say that?
- 12:37Speaker 1: Why is he inserting himself into a series before the
- 12:39Speaker 1: series even starts. Well, it worked, I mean he holds
- 12:41Speaker 1: onto this stuff in existence. I know, but I really
- 12:44Speaker 1: want to see you in the finals. And he saying, Oh,
- 12:46Speaker 1: he thinks I'm going to be easy when I'm made
- 12:47Speaker 1: to the NBA.
- 12:48Speaker 3: Finals if I play the decks, and no he's not.
- 12:50Speaker 3: Because he embraces all of this stuff.
- 12:52Speaker 1: He's going to walk into the Mecca for the first
- 12:55Speaker 1: time playing in an NBA Finals game thinking that's his
- 12:57Speaker 1: building before he's even played a game.
- 13:00Speaker 3: Aim in the NPA Finals, that mags is where I'm
- 13:02Speaker 3: stopping them up. No, I do. This guy scares me.
- 13:05Speaker 3: I'm so terrified of him. The word they use it.
- 13:07Speaker 3: He's not a guy. He's an alien.
- 13:09Speaker 1: I don't know what he is, but he just like
- 13:11Speaker 1: he holds onto this stuff. Spike, leave it alone, you know.
- 13:15Speaker 3: I am so terrify ms wemb Yeah.

- 13:57Speaker 5: So glad I said that one out, not only it
- 14:00Speaker 5: was just look, I understand, Hey, these fans got to
- 14:03Speaker 5: get this out of their system. Right, like we said,
- 14:06Speaker 5: like we learned in the song from Taylor. It's been
- 14:08Speaker 5: since seventy three.
- 14:09Speaker 3: Yeah, but most of us we've already been through this.
- 14:12Speaker 3: Have your moment. I'm good.
- 14:15Speaker 5: I do not appreciate him saying that stupid dog about Corgy.
- 14:19Speaker 8: Corgy is the course about that dog.
- 14:24Speaker 5: I'm glad you didn't say it publicly, but I love
- 14:27Speaker 5: dogs and I will not share.
- 14:29Speaker 3: I will not talk down about that dog. That dog
- 14:31Speaker 3: picked Spurs and seven. Therefore I'm picking Spurs and seven.
- 14:33Speaker 3: All right. We have Michelle Beadle, a big Spurs fan,
- 14:37Speaker 3: coming up an hour.
- 14:37Speaker 1: Number two, Lucy rodein. He's going to join us as well.
- 14:41Speaker 1: We'll talk some college football with her. Welcome back, Lucy.
- 14:44Speaker 1: But first we need to get to a game of
- 14:47Speaker 1: hand up. It's been a while since we played a
- 14:49Speaker 1: game of hand up around here, and so I was.
- 14:51Speaker 3: Saying, he says he had it ready. I don't need
- 14:56Speaker 3: to sound surprised.
- 14:57Speaker 1: How about that wow with the drop too?
- 15:02Speaker 3: Amazing? Yeah, it is perfectly time too. He's on his gate,
- 15:05Speaker 3: he really is. All right, who's going first here? Taylor?
- 15:10Speaker 3: You want to take it away here?
- 15:11Speaker 8: I can go all right, hand up. I'm falling for
- 15:14Speaker 8: the banana and the tailpipe. I'm buying this US soccer team.
- 15:18Speaker 3: Oh no, really, I knew this was Kevin.
- 15:19Speaker 6: What's the matter with you? I mean, seriously, so polistic.
- 15:23Speaker 6: Looked like the star that USA needs him to be.
- 15:25Speaker 6: They they're gonna have plenty of defensive mistakes, but USA
- 15:29Speaker 6: and their match against Senegal showed that they could trade
- 15:31Speaker 6: punches with one of the world's you know, most athletic teams.
- 15:34Speaker 6: I Texa Chris Whittingham Champions League commentator. He said, if
- 15:38Speaker 6: they look good against Germany on Saturday, then I think
- 15:41Speaker 6: you can get excited.
- 15:42Speaker 1: Oh wow, okay, but you're excited before that, so excited
- 15:46Speaker 1: for what?
- 15:46Speaker 3: What do you expect? What's a good result for the
- 15:48Speaker 3: US soccer team? For Taylor Bippolis got it?
- 15:52Speaker 8: You gotta win the group.
- 15:52Speaker 3: I think win the group, not just get out, okay.
- 15:54Speaker 6: Right, and then you have to get past the round
- 15:56Speaker 6: of sixteen okay, and then once your past round of sixteen,
- 15:59Speaker 6: you guys know.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Yes, anyone can win it from there. You're right, I mean,
- 16:06Speaker 1: who was in their group just out of curiosity?
- 16:08Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 16:12Speaker 3: Why in there, but you like gotta win it. You're
- 16:15Speaker 3: starting to get behind him. Okay, I can go here
- 16:18Speaker 3: if you want, please do hand up.
- 16:21Speaker 5: I don't think you guys really know how much I
- 16:24Speaker 5: hate being out there for softball.
- 16:27Speaker 3: I don't do it.
- 16:28Speaker 4: I do.
- 16:29Speaker 5: I do, actually up, I do, okay, because I mean
- 16:33Speaker 5: I did you know we're back. When Taylor asked to play,
- 16:36Speaker 5: I was like, you know, of course I'm going to participate.
- 16:39Speaker 5: Of course I'm going to try to get as many
- 16:41Speaker 5: people to participate so that Taylor gonna have a softball
- 16:43Speaker 5: team to play. And if you know, if I'm lucky,
- 16:46Speaker 5: I get to sit out. And it just so happened
- 16:48Speaker 5: that I hadn't been able to sit out too many
- 16:50Speaker 5: of the games. And it's just like, imagine you Stu
- 16:54Speaker 5: just being told, hey, go play a game of cricket,
- 16:57Speaker 5: all right, because you've never played it in your life,
- 16:59Speaker 5: and everybody out there, half the people out there are going.
- 17:01Speaker 3: To be looking at you and say, hey, this guy sucks.
- 17:04Speaker 3: Like it's exactly. I just hate every second of it,
- 17:09Speaker 3: and I just want to be going. We didn't need
- 17:11Speaker 3: a hand up for it. We all knew it.
- 17:13Speaker 5: And yeah, no, I don't think you really know the
- 17:15Speaker 5: depths about how much I hated it.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Dan Bayer barely knows you, Dan, did you know it
- 17:19Speaker 1: before he put his hand up.
- 17:20Speaker 3: And said it, Yeah, absolutely, yes, Okay, so I'll keep
- 17:24Speaker 3: my hand down then and let the game continue. All right,
- 17:26Speaker 3: let's go to Dan Bayer. He has his hand up,
- 17:28Speaker 3: hand up.
- 17:29Speaker 1: I wait all year for summer, and then when summer comes,
- 17:31Speaker 1: they go, man, I can't wait for fall.
- 17:35Speaker 3: It's hot out there, man, yes, it is like two
- 17:38Speaker 3: days in.
- 17:38Speaker 1: I'm like, all right, let's turn the leaves, let's turn
- 17:41Speaker 1: them orange, let's turn them yellow red.
- 17:43Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, let's go to Mikey. Mikey, I go ahead.
- 17:48Speaker 7: Is he kind of threw me off because that really
- 17:50Speaker 7: wasn't a hand up?
- 17:51Speaker 3: No, it wasn't. He's confirming something we already knew. I mean,
- 17:55Speaker 3: I know, hand up.
- 17:57Speaker 10: I am lying and selling through my tea to get
- 18:00Speaker 10: unload these World Cup tickets.
- 18:02Speaker 7: What's that got someone? I've got someone on the hook,
- 18:06Speaker 7: and I'm I'm reeling them in so slowly. Yes, but
- 18:09Speaker 7: I am lying through my teeth about how good these
- 18:11Speaker 7: tickets are.
- 18:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 18:13Speaker 1: So it has to be a slow reel because you
- 18:15Speaker 1: want to give the impression that you don't mind going
- 18:17Speaker 1: to the gate.
- 18:17Speaker 3: You know I don't mind going listen.
- 18:19Speaker 10: I want to go, I just am not sure that
- 18:22Speaker 10: I might be able to. And I know you care
- 18:25Speaker 10: a lot about one of the teams that's playing, so
- 18:28Speaker 10: I would rather give them to you.
- 18:31Speaker 5: For this amount of Mikey, how mad are you that
- 18:32Speaker 5: you don't have USA tickets?
- 18:34Speaker 3: Because Taylor would be Yourryan Fish right now?
- 18:37Speaker 4: Sink.
- 18:38Speaker 7: If I had USA tickets.
- 18:40Speaker 5: I'd be going, Okay, you wouldn't even try to sell
- 18:42Speaker 5: them to Taylor because I think you can get Bookop.
- 18:45Speaker 3: He's big.
- 18:46Speaker 7: I know Taylor doesn't have the money to pay what
- 18:48Speaker 7: I'm going to charge for.
- 18:49Speaker 3: It's on stupid. I ain't paying for bord Opricardo. He's
- 18:53Speaker 3: got his hand up, Go ahead, hand up. I haven't
- 18:56Speaker 3: been paying attention to this show. Today we got Afternoon Baseball.
- 18:59Speaker 3: Yeah again, you're.
- 19:01Speaker 8: Confirming what we already knew.
- 19:02Speaker 3: That's not the name of the gate.
- 19:04Speaker 1: I mean, let's go to Let's go to Iowa. Sam
- 19:07Speaker 1: out in Sherman Oaks. He has his hand up. I'm
- 19:10Speaker 1: told go ahead. I was Sam hand up.
- 19:13Speaker 11: As a former Corky owner, I cannot stand for Corky criticism.
- 19:17Speaker 11: They are smart, funny dogs. They are Fox bear pigs
- 19:20Speaker 11: combined into a dog. It's not this dog's faulted. It
- 19:23Speaker 11: got picked whoever it picked the spurs, so lay off
- 19:26Speaker 11: the Corgi's they're amazing.
- 19:26Speaker 3: What was your corgy's name?
- 19:28Speaker 11: We had one name Maki Sushi roll, and another way
- 19:30Speaker 11: another one named Roquel Welsh, A little play on name
- 19:34Speaker 11: for each, a little wordy like Roquel Welsh.
- 19:37Speaker 3: The first one, I was Sam, the first one. What
- 19:39Speaker 3: was the name of their Maki sushi roll?
- 19:41Speaker 11: Because he shaped like a sushi roll, like a mocky roll.
- 19:44Speaker 5: If you say that to a dog in public, people
- 19:46Speaker 5: are gonna think you're just really hungry.
- 19:48Speaker 11: We just called him Maki, or sometimes we call him
- 19:50Speaker 11: Tubby Winslow.
- 19:52Speaker 3: Okay, uh, you're a strange guy. I was Sam.
- 19:55Speaker 4: No No.
- 19:56Speaker 3: I used to have a dog named Huk and I
- 19:58Speaker 3: would call him Hucks the boat. John, make a bunch
- 20:00Speaker 3: of names. Let's go to EP. I love you, I
- 20:03Speaker 3: was saying EP. Jason's got his hand up.
- 20:05Speaker 8: Go ahead, hand up, guys. We've got twenty seconds left
- 20:08Speaker 8: in the segment.
- 20:11Speaker 3: Wow, good here, guys, hand up.
- 20:15Speaker 8: I'm rooting for the next set.
- 20:16Speaker 3: Oh yeah, hand up. I hate long dog names.
- 20:21Speaker 6: Yeah, that's a good one. Actually, roll, give me your
- 20:27Speaker 6: monkey ass roll.
- 20:29Speaker 3: He's hand up stunk. I hate so so much. We
- 20:34Speaker 3: know hand up heart out.
- 20:40Speaker 2: Be sure to catch live editions of Stu Godson Company
- 20:44Speaker 2: live weekdays at three pm Eastern twelve pm Pacific.
- 20:49Speaker 1: I am pleased to be joined by my friend Ariel
- 20:52Speaker 1: Halwani and Nick fan the Ariel Hawani Show live on
- 20:57Speaker 1: on Crowned and YouTube one pm Eastern.
- 21:00Speaker 3: And Ariel is a big Knick fan, so we're not
- 21:02Speaker 3: here to.
- 21:02Speaker 1: Talk to the fight game, although he is the go
- 21:04Speaker 1: to guy for the fight game. He is here to
- 21:07Speaker 1: talk about the New York Knicks and Ariel, I gotta
- 21:10Speaker 1: tell you, man, I am so excited. I am going
- 21:12Speaker 1: home tonight to do something I haven't done since nineteen
- 21:14Speaker 1: ninety nine. I'm gonna watch the Knick's finals game.
- 21:17Speaker 4: How about That's Uh, It's unbelievable, it really is. I'm
- 21:21Speaker 4: actually going to do my show right now, and it
- 21:23Speaker 4: is about fighting. And I got to be honest with you.
- 21:27Speaker 4: I can't concentrate. I can't muster up the emotion, the passion. Yes,
- 21:32Speaker 4: I have such a stomach ache right now, Like I
- 21:34Speaker 4: am just perpetually nervous and I can't get enough of
- 21:38Speaker 4: all the content. Last night, I was just sitting in
- 21:40Speaker 4: bed watching every single press conference, the open workout, looking
- 21:45Speaker 4: at them in front of that finals logo. We've been
- 21:48Speaker 4: waiting for this. It felt at one point like it
- 21:52Speaker 4: was never going to happen again in our lifetime, like
- 21:54Speaker 4: they dropped the video with Clyde narrating it. I woke
- 21:58Speaker 4: up this morning and I was showing my son that video,
- 22:00Speaker 4: and he looked at me. He's like, are you crying?
- 22:02Speaker 4: And I'm like, yes, I'm crying. You don't realize you're
- 22:04Speaker 4: twelve years old. You don't realize how much we've suffered
- 22:07Speaker 4: and what this means to us. I want this so bad,
- 22:10Speaker 4: to guys, I can't even describe how badly I want this,
- 22:13Speaker 4: and to think that we are just four wins away
- 22:16Speaker 4: from As I've said a million times over the past
- 22:18Speaker 4: week to friends and family, a lifetime of pain will
- 22:21Speaker 4: be erased and a lifetime of angst will be relieved
- 22:24Speaker 4: if they can pull this off.
- 22:25Speaker 6: Well said, and I really you didn't even mention the
- 22:28Speaker 6: image of Patrick Ewing wearing the twenty twenty six finals hat.
- 22:31Speaker 3: Oh God, Jesus, that broke me.
- 22:34Speaker 4: Man, that broke me. There was a moment there at
- 22:37Speaker 4: the end of grating Patrick Ewings my favorite accid of
- 22:39Speaker 4: all time. I became a Ewing fan in nineteen ninety
- 22:42Speaker 4: when I walk into a shoe store as an eight
- 22:43Speaker 4: year old, and my older brothers playing a prank on me, say,
- 22:47Speaker 4: don't buy those Jordans, buy those shoes, those big, ugly,
- 22:50Speaker 4: bulky shoes. Buy the Ewings. And I'm like, all right, sure, guys, right,
- 22:54Speaker 4: And then I look him up in a magazine. I'm like,
- 22:57Speaker 4: all right, I guess this is my guy. And that's
- 22:58Speaker 4: how I fall in love with the ni back in
- 23:00Speaker 4: nineteen ninety and Patrick Ewing being my guy. And so
- 23:03Speaker 4: when he was on the bench at the end of
- 23:05Speaker 4: Game four against the Cavs and they kind of zoomed
- 23:08Speaker 4: in on his face and then he puts the hat
- 23:10Speaker 4: on and it's Clyde to him to Brunson, it broke me.
- 23:13Speaker 4: I think every Nick fan wants this for themselves, but
- 23:16Speaker 4: I think they wanted for Patrick. They wanted for John,
- 23:18Speaker 4: they wanted for Charles, they wanted for Derek Harper, they
- 23:21Speaker 4: wanted for all those guys as well. And then of
- 23:23Speaker 4: course Houston and Spree and LJ and Chris Childs and
- 23:26Speaker 4: Charlie Ward. There's just so much that goes into this man.
- 23:29Speaker 4: And I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but
- 23:31Speaker 4: it's just mustering up a lot of emotion right now.
- 23:34Speaker 3: How many times have you cried during this finals run?
- 23:36Speaker 4: I mean, oh my, I mean at this point, since
- 23:40Speaker 4: we've clinched, it's been on a daily basis, all the videos,
- 23:44Speaker 4: all the edits, the highlight reels. I don't I saw
- 23:47Speaker 4: a couple of people who I respect, say Nixon seven,
- 23:50Speaker 4: and I'm just thinking to myself, I am so nervous
- 23:53Speaker 4: before game one. I don't think I'll be able to
- 23:55Speaker 4: survive seven games, Like, could you imagine what that's seventh
- 24:00Speaker 4: game will feel like? Game Day? I don't know if
- 24:02Speaker 4: my body can handle it. I'm being one hundred percent honest.
- 24:04Speaker 4: When you played the Rockets in ninety four, like I
- 24:08Speaker 4: was twelve years old and I sat in a hotel
- 24:11Speaker 4: room in Boston. I'll never forget crying wearing my ewing jersey.
- 24:14Speaker 4: But I was twelve years old, like to me, time
- 24:16Speaker 4: was infinite. Now I'm staring at at us like I'm
- 24:19Speaker 4: not gonna have to wait another twenty seven years to
- 24:20Speaker 4: see them again, why I'd even be alive, Like, is
- 24:22Speaker 4: this my last chance? And so it feels so much
- 24:25Speaker 4: more daunting, it feels so much more heavy at this time,
- 24:29Speaker 4: Like that's why I'm praying for a sweep. I know
- 24:32Speaker 4: there's no chance for a sweep, but I just kind
- 24:35Speaker 4: of want to fast forward, get this over with, and
- 24:37Speaker 4: then relive it all knowing how it all ends up.
- 24:40Speaker 6: Harry All, I was making the argument to the guys
- 24:42Speaker 6: earlier this postseason that Jalen Brunson has changed my life,
- 24:46Speaker 6: and they laughed at me. They said it was an overreaction.
- 24:49Speaker 6: Do you agree or disagree with that sentiment? For diehard
- 24:52Speaker 6: Knicks fans that Jalen Brunson has changed their lives, he
- 24:54Speaker 6: has to agree.
- 24:55Speaker 4: I mean one million percent. I tweeted on the day
- 25:00Speaker 4: they signed him, this is the steal of the century.
- 25:02Speaker 4: And every so often after you know it is back
- 25:05Speaker 4: in twenty twenty two, every so often after he does
- 25:07Speaker 4: something amazing, I go back to that tweet and I
- 25:10Speaker 4: just look at the replies. You idiot, you'll regret this
- 25:14Speaker 4: classic Nick. What an awful deal, I mean, And honestly
- 25:19Speaker 4: like that, I expect this so soon. Man, maybe not,
- 25:22Speaker 4: but I knew he was going to be that guy
- 25:23Speaker 4: that was just some He's a winner and we saw
- 25:25Speaker 4: it in Villanova and the way he conducts himself, the
- 25:28Speaker 4: way he conducted himself after Game four against the Cavs.
- 25:31Speaker 4: There's just so much to like about him. And you know,
- 25:34Speaker 4: the connection with his dad and his connection to the
- 25:36Speaker 4: Knicks and all that, like, it just felt like there
- 25:38Speaker 4: was something magical and so yes, of course, I feel
- 25:41Speaker 4: so lucky. I have two boys who are fourteen and twelve,
- 25:44Speaker 4: and my two favorite teams are the Knicks and the Bills.
- 25:48Speaker 4: And the fact that I've been able to give them
- 25:50Speaker 4: Jalen Brudson and Josh Allen as their guys, I feel
- 25:53Speaker 4: like it's like the greatest things that I've ever been
- 25:55Speaker 4: able to do as a parent.
- 25:56Speaker 1: Yes, I mean these spoiled kids, they haven't been through
- 25:58Speaker 1: the difficult times.
- 25:59Speaker 3: For either organization. Jesus. I mean, you know, I mean lucky,
- 26:03Speaker 3: very lucky, Ariel.
- 26:05Speaker 4: They missed it, like they just started to care about
- 26:08Speaker 4: sports right once Jalen arrived. And when Josh gets drafted
- 26:12Speaker 4: and I'm like you, he said, you have no idea.
- 26:15Speaker 4: I mean, like for those two teams, think about this
- 26:17Speaker 4: for those two deeps, like the Knicks started to get
- 26:19Speaker 4: really bad as of one and then oh one to thirteen,
- 26:23Speaker 4: they're a laughing stock. They win one playoff game, they
- 26:25Speaker 4: finally win a playoff series in thirteen. The Bills don't
- 26:28Speaker 4: make the playoffs. Between ninety nine and seventeen, I mean,
- 26:32Speaker 4: it was awful. And oh, by the way, in the
- 26:33Speaker 4: midst of all that, my favorite baseball team leaves town.
- 26:36Speaker 4: The Montreal Expos them from Montreal, they leave town. That
- 26:39Speaker 4: seventeen year stretch was absolutely miserable. My kids waltz in
- 26:43Speaker 4: here and they're getting generational run after generational run, and
- 26:46Speaker 4: I'm so happy. I don't want them to suffer, because
- 26:48Speaker 4: let's be honest, if they were born in like three,
- 26:51Speaker 4: they probably would be thunder fans right now or something
- 26:53Speaker 4: like that. And that's the last thing I want.
- 26:55Speaker 3: I'm bleep at David Sampson. Go ahead, Taylor, Oh.
- 26:59Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I'll get it started on them.
- 27:01Speaker 3: I'm not I just I said it. You don't have
- 27:03Speaker 3: to decay anything. Go ahead.
- 27:04Speaker 6: They your kids didn't have to go through the Antonio
- 27:08Speaker 6: mcdice trade, the Stefan Marbury Vaseolyne, the Nate Robinson era,
- 27:14Speaker 6: the all the bad days they didn't have to watch
- 27:17Speaker 6: louum Munson. But do you think any part of you
- 27:20Speaker 6: looks back at those years and was like, you know what,
- 27:23Speaker 6: it's gonna make this finals run even better?
- 27:25Speaker 4: Yes?
- 27:25Speaker 3: It hardened you?
- 27:26Speaker 4: Yes, yes, and no man, because those were some awful years.
- 27:31Speaker 4: I mean it was awful. Like I would have gladly
- 27:33Speaker 4: taken a ring in two thousand and like I said,
- 27:36Speaker 4: be way less anxious here because I said this to
- 27:39Speaker 4: my kids, like, if they pulled this off, I don't
- 27:41Speaker 4: know if I will care as much. In fact, I
- 27:43Speaker 4: think I won't care as much, and I welcome that.
- 27:46Speaker 4: I don't want to feel that feeling after every playoff loss,
- 27:49Speaker 4: after every series loss, after a random, gut wrenching loss
- 27:53Speaker 4: in March. I don't want to care as much. To
- 27:55Speaker 4: be honest, I don't want it to dictate my mood
- 27:57Speaker 4: as much as it does. And I feel like, and
- 28:00Speaker 4: I asked my friends who have seen their teams win
- 28:02Speaker 4: a championship, like it changes right, Like you care a
- 28:04Speaker 4: little bit less. Yeah, you care a little bit less,
- 28:06Speaker 4: and then you get lost in it if they go
- 28:07Speaker 4: for a repeat, et cetera, et cetera, and so those
- 28:10Speaker 4: years were awful. They were depressing. We were a joke,
- 28:14Speaker 4: we were a laughing stock. I didn't really I was there.
- 28:18Speaker 4: I watched it. I went to games. I moved to
- 28:19Speaker 4: New York. I tried to go as much as I can.
- 28:21Speaker 4: I got excited when you know, Porzingis came, when RJ.
- 28:24Speaker 4: Barrett came. You know, the lottery was our finals. That's
- 28:28Speaker 4: all we had to care about. But I mean, do
- 28:30Speaker 4: I wish that we were the Spurs winning you know,
- 28:32Speaker 4: five out of six? Yeah? Absolutely, that would have been
- 28:34Speaker 4: way cooler.
- 28:35Speaker 3: Ariol.
- 28:35Speaker 6: We have a great research department here and they came
- 28:38Speaker 6: back with that. Your first Knicks game you ever went
- 28:40Speaker 6: to Madison Square Garden March of nineteen ninety five, Patrick
- 28:44Speaker 6: Ewing scored thirty four in a loss to the SuperSonics.
- 28:49Speaker 6: Is that kid going to be in the garden for
- 28:51Speaker 6: Game three?
- 28:52Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah.
- 28:54Speaker 4: First of all, thank you to your research department. Well
- 28:57Speaker 4: done to your research department. That's incredible. Thank you nineteen nine,
- 29:02Speaker 4: well done. Yes. March eleventh, nineteen ninety five was my
- 29:05Speaker 4: first time entering Madison Square Garden. I went to Crosby's,
- 29:09Speaker 4: bought my Charles Oakley jersey. I begged my parents for
- 29:13Speaker 4: years to take me to a game again. I grew
- 29:15Speaker 4: up in Montreal, and some people like are are confused
- 29:18Speaker 4: by that. I was never a real big hockey fan.
- 29:21Speaker 4: I was. I was a kid who wanted to live
- 29:23Speaker 4: in New York because of the Knicks. I was obsessed
- 29:25Speaker 4: with all things New York because of the Knicks. And
- 29:27Speaker 4: they finally took me to a game. We were sitting
- 29:29Speaker 4: fourth to last row up at four hundreds, and Ving
- 29:33Speaker 4: had a great game, but they got injured in the
- 29:35Speaker 4: fourth quarter and they ended up losing to the SuperSonics.
- 29:38Speaker 4: And so I've been lucky enough to go. I was.
- 29:40Speaker 4: I was at Game three and nineteen ninety nine against
- 29:43Speaker 4: the Hawks, and everyone's chanting Jeff Vang Gundy, Chris Dudley
- 29:47Speaker 4: has a great game. I've been to some playoff games
- 29:50Speaker 4: this year and previous years as well, and I'm doing
- 29:52Speaker 4: everything in my power to be there for Game three.
- 29:55Speaker 4: In Game six, my daughter has a school play Game four.
- 29:59Speaker 4: I'm not gonna I miss it, but it would just
- 30:01Speaker 4: be too hard to go from where we live to
- 30:03Speaker 4: the garden, so I think that's the right thing to do.
- 30:05Speaker 4: But I'm doing everything in my power to secure tickets
- 30:08Speaker 4: for three and six, not freebies. I'm not a celebrity,
- 30:11Speaker 4: I'm not Shalome, I'm not still there. I just need
- 30:13Speaker 4: to be in the building. I don't have those tickets
- 30:15Speaker 4: as of now, but I'm going to do everything in
- 30:17Speaker 4: my power to be there. And I can't imagine what
- 30:19Speaker 4: it's going to be like. And I think you guys
- 30:21Speaker 4: can attest to this. It's fun being a fan. It's
- 30:24Speaker 4: a hell of a lot more fun when you're able
- 30:26Speaker 4: to raise fans to like the team that you grew
- 30:29Speaker 4: up liking as well. And so this morning, my twelve
- 30:32Speaker 4: year old son, who's in sixth grade, which is the
- 30:35Speaker 4: grade that I was in in nineteen ninety four, which
- 30:38Speaker 4: is the age that I was in nineteen ninety four,
- 30:40Speaker 4: comes downstairs wearing his ewing jersey, and again I cried.
- 30:44Speaker 4: I started to get emotional because that was me as
- 30:47Speaker 4: a ninety ninety four run. I had two jerseys at
- 30:50Speaker 4: the time, youwing and start, and I wore those same
- 30:53Speaker 4: two jerseys every single day for the entire run, rotating
- 30:57Speaker 4: one other one other. And so for him to pick
- 30:59Speaker 4: that one, he's got a town of brunts and a
- 31:01Speaker 4: heart and an andob but he picked my guy, number
- 31:04Speaker 4: thirty three, the captain, And I'm getting emotional now. Guys again,
- 31:07Speaker 4: talk to you about this, but it meant so much
- 31:10Speaker 4: to me.
- 31:10Speaker 1: No, I'm gonna cry with you. I mean, this is
- 31:12Speaker 1: what it's all about. Yes, we have waited our entire lifetime.
- 31:16Speaker 1: It's the only thing that unifies that place is this
- 31:18Speaker 1: particular basketball team, the New York Knicks, and they've been
- 31:21Speaker 1: so lousy for so long. So I understand you getting
- 31:24Speaker 1: emotional when your kid comes down.
- 31:26Speaker 3: Werry Patrick, you wings Jersey. As crazy as it sounds,
- 31:29Speaker 3: I would be weeping just like you. It's crazy.
- 31:32Speaker 4: Man.
- 31:32Speaker 3: I'm so happy for you.
- 31:36Speaker 4: I'm happy for all of us, but we all recognize
- 31:38Speaker 4: this is on it and I'm terrified of what it
- 31:41Speaker 4: will feel like if it doesn't go our wall.
- 31:43Speaker 3: Think about it.
- 31:44Speaker 4: I just stopped.
- 31:45Speaker 1: No, not today, don't think about it today. Okay, today listen. Today,
- 31:49Speaker 1: we are four games, four wins away from winning an
- 31:52Speaker 1: NBA championship.
- 31:53Speaker 3: Don't think about what will.
- 31:54Speaker 1: Happen if we don't win those four games. Okay, Let's
- 31:57Speaker 1: just be positive, all right.
- 32:00Speaker 4: I ask you a question as someone who lives in Miami,
- 32:02Speaker 4: and you got to see all those great teams. How
- 32:05Speaker 4: much did that hurt you? Because I'm sure you're covering it.
- 32:07Speaker 4: You're in the midst of it. We suck in that period,
- 32:10Speaker 4: but there's probably an element of jealousy where you're like,
- 32:13Speaker 4: am I ever going to experience this? As like is
- 32:15Speaker 4: the fan and me ever going to experience what these
- 32:18Speaker 4: people are experiencing right now while the Heat are winning.
- 32:20Speaker 1: Extremely jealous during that entire rum with Lebron, with Wade
- 32:24Speaker 1: and Bosh. But also keep in mind, I am listen,
- 32:28Speaker 1: I'm used to this. It can't get any worse than
- 32:29Speaker 1: the Jets. So I am I'm kind of numb to
- 32:32Speaker 1: at this point, you know what I'm saying.
- 32:34Speaker 4: Yeah, and then it all gets relieved, it all gets released.
- 32:39Speaker 4: I'm not sure. I can't. I can't speak on the Jets.
- 32:41Speaker 4: I would invite you to root for New York's only
- 32:44Speaker 4: football team, as a team that resides in Western New York.
- 32:48Speaker 1: I'm just checking off sports boxes right now before I
- 32:51Speaker 1: get out of here, you know what I'm saying. And
- 32:52Speaker 1: so like the Mets one one, the Islanders they won four.
- 32:55Speaker 1: For me, the Knicks have a shot this year. And
- 32:58Speaker 1: I have already just said, hey, you know what to
- 33:00Speaker 1: go my entire life without the Jets winning a Super Bowl.
- 33:02Speaker 1: I'm okay with that, as long as the Knicks winted
- 33:04Speaker 1: NBA title. And so that's why I'm begging you to
- 33:06Speaker 1: remain positive.
- 33:07Speaker 4: Okay, I know, I know, I know I have to.
- 33:10Speaker 4: I have to. I'm just I'm a pessimistic person. I'm
- 33:14Speaker 4: perpetually negative, and I fear the word. I mean, come on,
- 33:18Speaker 4: when when all of a sudden we're riding high and
- 33:20Speaker 4: you get the tweet, It's like Mitchell Robinson has a
- 33:23Speaker 4: broken pinky, and but what what did he do? Is
- 33:26Speaker 4: this how it happens? Is it some.
- 33:30Speaker 1: Yesterday I watched, Yes, but fortunately it happened to the
- 33:33Speaker 1: guy who doesn't need his hands to play basketball.
- 33:35Speaker 3: I mean, so that's what I'm saying, Good things, you play?
- 33:38Speaker 4: Will you play? Though? Will he actually be clear to play?
- 33:41Speaker 4: I don't know. Can he catch a law? Can he
- 33:43Speaker 4: get rebounds? I mean, we need that stuff from him, right,
- 33:46Speaker 4: We need him to be somewhat healthy. We can't have
- 33:48Speaker 4: someone banging into him and all of a sudden he's out.
- 33:51Speaker 4: These are the things I worry about, you know, I
- 33:53Speaker 4: worry about about all. Please God bless you know og
- 33:58Speaker 4: Ananobi's hamstrings and growings, all those things. Every time he
- 34:01Speaker 4: goes up for a layup, I'm praying to the man
- 34:03Speaker 4: upstairs to please bless him with the best health in
- 34:05Speaker 4: the world. It's just so, it means so much. I
- 34:09Speaker 4: try to tell my kids how much this means. My wife,
- 34:12Speaker 4: she's been with me since nineteenninety nine. She was sitting
- 34:15Speaker 4: right next to me when they lost. And I know,
- 34:17Speaker 4: you guys get it. And that's why I'm so happy
- 34:19Speaker 4: to be talking to you, Because this feels like a
- 34:20Speaker 4: therapy session here. People roll their eyes and make comments,
- 34:24Speaker 4: but like, this means so freaking much. And yeah, I
- 34:28Speaker 4: just I just think of the happiness that these fifteen
- 34:32Speaker 4: men twelve who are playing vast majority nine can bring
- 34:36Speaker 4: us in the next you know, how about how about
- 34:39Speaker 4: the fact, guys, how about the fact that it was
- 34:40Speaker 4: exactly a year ago today that they fired TIBs. Exactly
- 34:44Speaker 4: a year ago today they fire TIBs and we become
- 34:46Speaker 4: the laughing stock again. Jason Kidd won't come, Billy Thannovan
- 34:50Speaker 4: won't come. No one wants the cop. The Knicks did
- 34:52Speaker 4: it again. They screwed it up again. And now look
- 34:54Speaker 4: at us. Can you hear in New York City? Can
- 34:57Speaker 4: you hear it? Do you hear the cops? Hopefully? So?
- 35:01Speaker 3: For me? I love you.
- 35:03Speaker 1: You are a perfect representation of what everyone, all Knick
- 35:06Speaker 1: fans are going through right now. We're all over the place.
- 35:08Speaker 1: We're emotional. You're praying. Amen, by the way to everything
- 35:12Speaker 1: you said, you're praying. I want to have you on.
- 35:15Speaker 1: I want emotional every hellwana on after every game.
- 35:18Speaker 3: If possible, we work that out, if you have time
- 35:21Speaker 3: for us.
- 35:23Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean it's our it's our therapy session. Man,
- 35:25Speaker 4: I'd be happy to. I withhold the right if they
- 35:28Speaker 4: are losing, crushing loss after crushing loss. I was told
- 35:31Speaker 4: the right to upstain from talking. So I'm going to
- 35:34Speaker 4: take something different. But I believe can we get what?
- 35:37Speaker 4: What do you in your heart of hearts? What are
- 35:38Speaker 4: you saying? What are you saying? What's the official prediction?
- 35:41Speaker 3: Listen?
- 35:41Speaker 1: I have the Knicks in four last series, I said,
- 35:44Speaker 1: sweet before the series started. I have the Knicks in five.
- 35:46Speaker 1: I'm I'm uber confident about this NIXT team. I have
- 35:48Speaker 1: the Knicks in five.
- 35:49Speaker 4: Wow.
- 35:50Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, I'm going at six.
- 35:52Speaker 4: No.
- 35:53Speaker 1: And here's the thing he probably hates us hearing that
- 35:55Speaker 1: because he doesn't want us to be so cocky and confident, right.
- 35:58Speaker 4: Yes, no, oh no, I want it. I want it.
- 36:01Speaker 4: I wanted I saw that stupid dog yesterday picking against them,
- 36:04Speaker 4: and I was like, I hate this freaking dog. Like
- 36:06Speaker 4: every pick that I see in our favor, it's like,
- 36:09Speaker 4: just a little bit more confident. Five would be a dream.
- 36:13Speaker 4: Six would be amazing at home. Steal one here, steal
- 36:17Speaker 4: one here on the road, and I'll feel a million
- 36:20Speaker 4: times better just steal one of these year. And how
- 36:23Speaker 4: about the symbolism, guys, how about the symbolism of the
- 36:26Speaker 4: stars of that ninety nineteen They're going to be sitting
- 36:29Speaker 4: there at msg LJ Spree Houston Ewings. They're going to
- 36:32Speaker 4: be sitting there watching our guys hopefully right the wrong
- 36:36Speaker 4: of twenty seven years ago. And let's be honest, we
- 36:37Speaker 4: had no chance in nineteen ninety nine. It was great
- 36:40Speaker 4: just getting there ewing Zinder at Chris Doveley's our starting center.
- 36:43Speaker 4: We had no shot. Duncan with generational just starting his run, Robinson,
- 36:47Speaker 4: it was destiny for him. This feels much different. This
- 36:49Speaker 4: feels much more like ninety four, where it's a toss
- 36:51Speaker 4: up and I just pray to God that God, I
- 36:54Speaker 4: pray to God that the basketball gods will smile down
- 36:57Speaker 4: upon us.
- 36:58Speaker 3: Amen the A. Hawane Show.

- 37:38Speaker 1: Our Thanks to Lucy Rodein. It was great to see her.
- 37:40Speaker 1: Great to hear from her.
- 37:42Speaker 3: This is an odd place for us to be finishing
- 37:44Speaker 3: the show.
- 37:45Speaker 1: I have waited since nineteen ninety nine to be able
- 37:48Speaker 1: to say I'm going home to watch the next play
- 37:51Speaker 1: in an NBA Finals game, and Taylor has been waiting
- 37:54Speaker 1: for this his entire life, and yet we end the
- 37:57Speaker 1: show today with what the hell did Harris England?
- 38:00Speaker 3: Taylor? Harris English the golfer? Yeah, who else?
- 38:05Speaker 5: I just want to make sure because I don't think
- 38:06Speaker 5: everybody knows who Harris English is.
- 38:08Speaker 6: So we have great talent bookers here. Our talent bookers
- 38:12Speaker 6: are phenomenal. They got us great guests. Yes, they've been
- 38:15Speaker 6: trying to get us more and more PGA golfers.
- 38:17Speaker 3: Yes.
- 38:17Speaker 1: Now let me say this that in the past they've
- 38:20Speaker 1: been great with the PGA, and the PGA has been
- 38:22Speaker 1: great to us. They got me a Mikey Wyndham Clark
- 38:24Speaker 1: a few times, Jordan Speith has been on the show. Like,
- 38:27Speaker 1: they've been fantastic. But what happened again with Harris Bleeping English?
- 38:31Speaker 6: So we had Harris English booked and then at the
- 38:35Speaker 6: last second we got a message from the talent bookers
- 38:37Speaker 6: that said Harris English is actually going to pass.
- 38:40Speaker 5: And now I'm wait wait, talent bookers just absolutely hung
- 38:45Speaker 5: him out to dry and said, hey, this isn't our fault.
- 38:47Speaker 1: He's the one who's passing. They specified that. Well, that's
- 38:49Speaker 1: why they're good talent bookers.
- 38:50Speaker 6: So my question for you guys is, who the hell
- 38:53Speaker 6: does Harris English?
- 38:55Speaker 4: Because he has.
- 38:56Speaker 6: Now made an enemy of this show. I will go
- 38:58Speaker 6: out of my way to root against Harris English now
- 39:01Speaker 6: until the rest of the time, until he makes this
- 39:03Speaker 6: right and he comes on this show we've had.
- 39:06Speaker 5: So you're saying you've had Wyndham Clark. This is one
- 39:09Speaker 5: of the best guys going, right.
- 39:10Speaker 3: We had Wyndham right after he won the US Opening.
- 39:12Speaker 1: Yes, you've had Jordan's speech after he won the Masters
- 39:15Speaker 1: and has been, you know, one of this country's favorite
- 39:18Speaker 1: golfers for the last decade.
- 39:22Speaker 3: Wow, the homie. Yes, and Harris English decides to pass.
- 39:27Speaker 3: Does he have another trip to England ahead?
- 39:29Speaker 5: Because he sounds like the most euro of British American
- 39:32Speaker 5: golfer of all time?
- 39:34Speaker 10: Harris English, howbout you change your name to Harris America?
- 39:38Speaker 3: Like, honestly, I'm with you, Taylor put it on the poll.
- 39:41Speaker 1: Should Harris English change his name to Harris America?
- 39:45Speaker 6: If he doesn't, he hates Amyriica, be glad that anybody
- 39:47Speaker 6: wants to talk to you.
- 39:48Speaker 8: You've never won a major, buddy.
- 39:49Speaker 1: Right, I think Taylor was shocked, but I said, yes,
- 39:53Speaker 1: that's gonna call him English Harris because he should be English.
- 39:56Speaker 7: You know what, I don't know if I want to
- 39:57Speaker 7: talk to Harris English. A guy named Harris English? Has
- 40:00Speaker 7: he never chugged a beer in his life?
- 40:01Speaker 3: Yes, he's never been to a party that.
- 40:03Speaker 7: Didn't serve you know, dry white wine? Right?
- 40:06Speaker 3: Like, no, I don't.
- 40:06Speaker 7: I don't know if I want to talk.
- 40:07Speaker 5: And you always have to question the people with two
- 40:10Speaker 5: very obvious last names, not a first I don't even
- 40:13Speaker 5: know what his middle name is, but there's no chance
- 40:15Speaker 5: it's an actual first sounding fair Smith.
- 40:17Speaker 6: I'm with Mikey, though, Harris English has to earn his
- 40:19Speaker 6: appearance on this show. He has to win a major
- 40:21Speaker 6: before we even ask.
- 40:22Speaker 3: So he has so now he has to win. Okay,
- 40:24Speaker 3: that's fair. Okay, I'm with you. Win the Masters
