- 0:01Speaker 1: Now on the Voice of New York. It's the Mark
- 0:04Speaker 1: Simone Show on seven to ten.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Wor Well, it was quite a mere old debate last night.
- 0:12Speaker 2: We will get to that. We'll go over in great detail.
- 0:15Speaker 2: We'll get to the latest meltdown from the Democrats, the
- 0:19Speaker 2: trumped arrangement syndrome has them going nuts over the White
- 0:24Speaker 2: House ballroom. This is but the weirdest, most bizarre meltdown
- 0:29Speaker 2: they've had so far. We'll get to Ice in New York,
- 0:32Speaker 2: and we'll get to Robert de Niro and a whole
- 0:35Speaker 2: lot more coming up. Last night's debate was much better
- 0:41Speaker 2: than the first debate. It was New York one, which
- 0:43Speaker 2: a lot of most people don't see, and it was
- 0:46Speaker 2: Erl Lewis as the most biased, the left wing guy
- 0:50Speaker 2: in the world. Everybody thinking he should have accused himself,
- 0:52Speaker 2: but he was good, he behaved himself and he was
- 0:56Speaker 2: better than those Channel four moderators. He let people talk,
- 1:00Speaker 2: so good job. And then the other one was that
- 1:02Speaker 2: the Brian Lear It's very very left wing sort of
- 1:05Speaker 2: guys doing this, but they were good, they behaved themselves
- 1:07Speaker 2: and it was a well done debate. Now, who won
- 1:11Speaker 2: the debate? Well Curtis was the best. There was no
- 1:14Speaker 2: question about that. If he just went on content, Curtis
- 1:19Speaker 2: clearly way ahead of him. But but a lot of
- 1:23Speaker 2: people think Clomo won the debate because he's usually terrible
- 1:28Speaker 2: in debates. He's not a good debater, and he stinks
- 1:31Speaker 2: in these debates. In the first two debates he had
- 1:34Speaker 2: with Mom Donnie, the primary debates, he was just awful.
- 1:37Speaker 2: But last night he surprised everybody. Was pretty good in
- 1:40Speaker 2: the debate. He wasn't as good as Curtis on content,
- 1:43Speaker 2: but in style and confidence, he's learning to talk a
- 1:48Speaker 2: little faster. Last night he surprised everybody, and some analysts
- 1:52Speaker 2: actually think he won, even though Curtis was better and
- 1:56Speaker 2: content wise, he won by not stinking, by actually holding
- 1:59Speaker 2: his own with Mom Donnie. Curtis had the best lines
- 2:04Speaker 2: in the debate.
- 2:07Speaker 3: I get a good belly laughs. All right, I'll keep practice.
- 2:11Speaker 3: I get a good belly laugh every time I hear
- 2:13Speaker 3: you say free fair in the subways. Half the people
- 2:16Speaker 3: don't pay anyway. How about fair enforcement?
- 2:19Speaker 2: Now, the problem with these debates, it's three people. If
- 2:22Speaker 2: it were two debates, you know, you think back to
- 2:24Speaker 2: Hillary and Trump. You think back to The one debate
- 2:29Speaker 2: that absolutely turned a race around. That was Reagan against Carter.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Reagan was on track to lose. He just wiped out
- 2:35Speaker 2: Carter in that debate. And it was but the key
- 2:39Speaker 2: to that was it was two people. It was one
- 2:42Speaker 2: on one. When you put three people in there, it
- 2:43Speaker 2: changes the whole mix. And the moderators were very careful
- 2:47Speaker 2: to try to keep the spotlight off Curtis. They focused
- 2:50Speaker 2: on Cuomo. They focused on Mom Donnie as if they
- 2:53Speaker 2: were the two major party candidates. Remember it's Cuomo who's
- 2:56Speaker 2: the third party candidate. It's Sliwa who's the major party candidate.
- 3:01Speaker 2: He's the Republican candidate. Mom Donnie's the Democratic candidate. Should
- 3:05Speaker 2: have been the two of them head to head. They
- 3:07Speaker 2: put Cuomo in even though he's a third party candidate,
- 3:10Speaker 2: because he's high in the polls. But it kind of
- 3:13Speaker 2: screws up the debate for Curtis. You don't get either.
- 3:15Speaker 2: They just tried not to give him too much time.
- 3:17Speaker 2: But every time they went to him, he was great
- 3:19Speaker 2: content wise, position wise, issues wise. Most voters would agree
- 3:23Speaker 2: with Curtis, so on content he won. But Cuomo surprised everybody,
- 3:28Speaker 2: but not being as bad as he usually is in debates,
- 3:30Speaker 2: he's more Curtis.
- 3:31Speaker 3: I've taken this subway almost every day of my life
- 3:33Speaker 3: since I was five. The worst time was the summer
- 3:36Speaker 3: of twenty seventeen, the summer of hell.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Angewel Cuomo, when you were running.
- 3:41Speaker 3: The subway, says, stuffs ahead.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Of the I don't trust you with anything.
- 3:47Speaker 2: Well that's a good point. I don't know how much
- 3:49Speaker 2: that registered with everybody. But when Cuomo was governor, the
- 3:52Speaker 2: governor runs the subways. The MTA is controlled by the governor.
- 3:56Speaker 2: It's his chairman. He has the most seats on the board.
- 3:59Speaker 2: And twenty seventeen Cuomo screwed up the subways. I don't
- 4:02Speaker 2: know if you remember that, but all the subways were
- 4:05Speaker 2: late trains can't It was a real mess. The reason
- 4:10Speaker 2: for that is he was trying to score political points
- 4:13Speaker 2: with the subway by putting all the money into new cars,
- 4:17Speaker 2: new trains. Remember you would depose with the look at
- 4:20Speaker 2: this new train car, state of the art car. What
- 4:23Speaker 2: He completely screwed up the subway system by using it
- 4:26Speaker 2: as a piggy bank to take money out of there.
- 4:28Speaker 2: So they didn't have enough money, and it got so
- 4:31Speaker 2: bad and the outcry was so huge. He had a
- 4:34Speaker 2: beg Joe Loader to come back. The old MTA commissioner,
- 4:38Speaker 2: who's the best guy at fixing the subways. He came
- 4:41Speaker 2: back right away and I talked to him privately about it,
- 4:43Speaker 2: and he told me the real problem when you drain
- 4:45Speaker 2: the money out of there, use it as a piggy
- 4:47Speaker 2: bank for other projects. They're not spending the money where
- 4:51Speaker 2: it needs to be spent. You don't want to spend
- 4:53Speaker 2: it on new subway cars. It's not what you need.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Most important thing, pumps, switches, fans, the things that the
- 5:00Speaker 2: trains run for little stuff. So Loda put that all back.
- 5:04Speaker 2: It took a few months, but he got the subways
- 5:06Speaker 2: back to normal. But Cuomo did screw it up back then.
- 5:09Speaker 2: He made a lot of disastrous moves as governor. That's
- 5:12Speaker 2: the problem now. The opening of the debate was great,
- 5:15Speaker 2: Mam Donnie, really, Mam Donnie. As summer argument didn't have
- 5:18Speaker 2: a great night because he had to be evasive on
- 5:21Speaker 2: a lot of things, some of his more controversial stuff.
- 5:23Speaker 2: So he was evasive a lot through the debate. But
- 5:26Speaker 2: he's slick and he's a fast talker, and me, you
- 5:28Speaker 2: talk really fast. People might not notice how evasive you are,
- 5:30Speaker 2: but he really went after Cuomo.
- 5:31Speaker 4: Andrew Cuomo will spend much of tonight attacking me.
- 5:35Speaker 5: He is a.
- 5:35Speaker 4: Desperate man lashing out because he knows that the one
- 5:38Speaker 4: thing he's always cared about, power is now slipping away
- 5:41Speaker 4: from him.
- 5:42Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Well yeah, if he doesn't win this, I don't know
- 5:46Speaker 2: where he goes next. Of course, they kept hitting Mam
- 5:49Speaker 2: Donnie on experience.
- 5:50Speaker 1: I did think.
- 5:52Speaker 6: You have never had a job, You've never accomplished anything.
- 5:56Speaker 6: There's no reason to believe you have any merit or
- 5:59Speaker 6: qualified care.
- 6:00Speaker 1: For eight and a half million lives.
- 6:03Speaker 6: You don't know how to run a government, you don't
- 6:05Speaker 6: know how to handle an emergency.
- 6:07Speaker 4: The issue is that we have all experienced your experience.
- 6:11Speaker 4: The issue is that we experienced you take me five
- 6:14Speaker 4: million dollar book deal while you sent seniors to their
- 6:16Speaker 4: deaths and nursing homes.
- 6:18Speaker 2: Yeah, that's the problem with Culomo's argument. He was good
- 6:20Speaker 2: last night. But when you say, you know, you gotta
- 6:22Speaker 2: have experience, what if there's a health crisis, Well, we
- 6:25Speaker 2: had one of the Cuomo and he was terrible. He
- 6:27Speaker 2: was awful. He killed people in the nursing homes, and
- 6:30Speaker 2: you know, when it comes to crime, he really screwed
- 6:31Speaker 2: up our criminal system with his no bail, no jail
- 6:34Speaker 2: and all that stuffy. But he's right about mom, Donnie.
- 6:38Speaker 2: We've never ever ever elected somebody who's twelve years old,
- 6:42Speaker 2: only been a citizen five minutes, never had a job.
- 6:45Speaker 2: It's unheard of. As Curtis said last night, sure on.
- 6:48Speaker 3: Your resume could fit on a cocktail, napkin and angel.
- 6:54Speaker 3: Your failures could fill a public school library in New
- 6:58Speaker 3: York City.
- 7:00Speaker 2: That's a good point. But it was quite a debate.
- 7:02Speaker 2: Trump was an issue for somehow in this debate.
- 7:05Speaker 4: I will fight him every single step of the way.
- 7:07Speaker 6: He has no respect for him. He thinks he's a kid,
- 7:09Speaker 6: and he's gonna knock him on his tookas.
- 7:11Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:13Speaker 2: So, but Curtis got very emotional at some point. You know,
- 7:17Speaker 2: Mamdanie obviously would stink on crime. We saw Cuomo was
- 7:21Speaker 2: really bad on crime as governor, the no bail, no jail,
- 7:23Speaker 2: the closing the prisons, the taking away the qualified immunity
- 7:28Speaker 2: from cops. So Curtis got very emotional there.
- 7:31Speaker 1: So how can both of you look at me?
- 7:33Speaker 3: I almost launched my oldest son to gang violence. And
- 7:37Speaker 3: the perpetrators went to family court and got a little
- 7:41Speaker 3: pet on the wrist and was sent.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Home to do it again and again.
- 7:45Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, it's a great moments in that debate.
- 7:47Speaker 2: If you haven't seen it, it's on YouTube, you can
- 7:49Speaker 2: you can go watch it. There as more on Trump,
- 7:53Speaker 2: and we first just.
- 7:54Speaker 4: Heard from the Republican candidate for mayor, and then we
- 7:57Speaker 4: heard from Donald Trump's puppet himself, Andrew Cuomo. You could
- 8:00Speaker 4: turn on TV any day of the week and you
- 8:03Speaker 4: will hear Donald Trump share that his pick for mayor
- 8:06Speaker 4: is Andrew Cuomo. And he wants Andrew Cuomo to be
- 8:08Speaker 4: the mayor, not because it will be good for New Yorkers,
- 8:11Speaker 4: but because it will be good for him.
- 8:13Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 8:13Speaker 2: Now, Trump's not an Andrew Cuomo fan, but he just
- 8:19Speaker 2: doesn't like Curtis. He's never like Curtis. He doesn't like Curtis.
- 8:22Speaker 2: He's also remember he's far away. He's not here in
- 8:25Speaker 2: New York watching everything day and night. He's in Washington.
- 8:28Speaker 2: He's president. He's very busy, so he's not real up
- 8:32Speaker 2: close on this election. But he just thinks Cuomo's the
- 8:36Speaker 2: better shot, and that's why he's been pushing Cuomo. And
- 8:38Speaker 2: when you see these guys out there like Bill Ackman
- 8:41Speaker 2: and these other billionaires. Bill Ackman's a good example. They're
- 8:44Speaker 2: all out there fighting for Cuomo. The reason is this
- 8:47Speaker 2: is Trump. Trump is using them to do this. Trump
- 8:50Speaker 2: is on the phone with guys like Bill Ackman day
- 8:52Speaker 2: and night. He's had them come down to Washington for lunch,
- 8:55Speaker 2: for dinner. He's pressuring them like crazy to get Curtis
- 8:59Speaker 2: out of the race. Do everything they can, and they're
- 9:02Speaker 2: doing this. They're really going crazy trying to get Curtis out.
- 9:04Speaker 2: It's not because they care that much about the about Cuomo.
- 9:08Speaker 2: It's just they want to ingratiate themselves with Trump. They
- 9:11Speaker 2: needs other stuff from Trump. So he's been really pushing them,
- 9:15Speaker 2: really pushing them for weeks now. From what I've heard
- 9:18Speaker 2: last night and the night before in conversations, he's starting
- 9:22Speaker 2: to admit and in fact, earlier this week he started admitting,
- 9:25Speaker 2: I don't know if Cuomo's not a great candidate. I
- 9:27Speaker 2: don't know if Cuomo can do it. So he might
- 9:29Speaker 2: be easing the pressure on these guys, but we'll see again.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Cuomo had a good night last night. Good night. He
- 9:36Speaker 2: was strong in the debate.
- 9:37Speaker 4: And I also know that the jobs we create in
- 9:39Speaker 4: the building of that housing should be good jobs as well.
- 9:43Speaker 1: So what is your opinion? Come on, yes, what is
- 9:48Speaker 1: your opinion? Yes? So true a politician, He got it.
- 9:56Speaker 2: They're pointing out what I was about to the question.
- 10:00Speaker 2: My question to you was do you support the three
- 10:03Speaker 2: ballid amendment questions?
- 10:04Speaker 4: I have not yet taken a position on those ballot
- 10:06Speaker 4: question What a shocker.
- 10:09Speaker 2: Now that was the problem a few times, several times
- 10:12Speaker 2: on a ballot issue or some issue, he just wouldn't
- 10:14Speaker 2: take a position. Now in New York you got things
- 10:18Speaker 2: like New York one or Channel four that they're the
- 10:20Speaker 2: most left wing, bias slanted. So the problem is they
- 10:24Speaker 2: won't be all over him. They should be following him
- 10:27Speaker 2: around demanding he said he needs to think about it.
- 10:30Speaker 2: They should be demanding you think about it and give
- 10:32Speaker 2: him an answer. They should be all over the campaign
- 10:35Speaker 2: demanding an answer. But again they're very slanted. They won't
- 10:38Speaker 2: do it.
- 10:39Speaker 4: Here's what he says, that taking five years to build
- 10:41Speaker 4: affordable housing is the sign of an incompetent government. By
- 10:45Speaker 4: his own words, that means he must have led an
- 10:47Speaker 4: incompetent government.
- 10:48Speaker 6: The governor doesn't build housing in New York City, not
- 10:51Speaker 6: if it's you.
- 10:53Speaker 2: It's a good point, you know, if the problem is
- 10:55Speaker 2: lack of housing, if the problem is affordability, well, Democrats
- 10:59Speaker 2: have been running the whole place for fifteen years. They've
- 11:01Speaker 2: been controlling the legislature or the city Council, the mayor's office,
- 11:05Speaker 2: city Hall, the governors. They controlled everything. So if it's
- 11:08Speaker 2: such a crisis, get rid of them, get another party,
- 11:11Speaker 2: try somebody else.
- 11:12Speaker 1: There are jurisdictions.
- 11:15Speaker 6: The governor doesn't pick up trash, he doesn't run.
- 11:17Speaker 2: The fire department. That's what the mayor does.
- 11:19Speaker 1: The mayor bills housing.
- 11:21Speaker 6: The state allocates funding for localities, and I allocated more
- 11:26Speaker 6: funding for housing than any governor in the history of
- 11:29Speaker 6: the State.
- 11:30Speaker 1: Of New York.
- 11:31Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, but again he yells all this stuff.
- 11:33Speaker 2: But if that's the case, how come we have such
- 11:36Speaker 2: a crisis.
- 11:37Speaker 6: You have never had a job, You've never accomplished anything.
- 11:41Speaker 6: There's no reason to believe you have any merit or
- 11:44Speaker 6: qualification for eight and a half million lives. You don't
- 11:48Speaker 6: know how to run a government, you don't know how
- 11:50Speaker 6: to handle an emergency, and you've literally never proposed a
- 11:54Speaker 6: bill on anything that you're now talking about in your campaign.
- 11:58Speaker 2: All right, but so you hear that. What was good
- 12:00Speaker 2: last night? He had a good debate. He was very good,
- 12:03Speaker 2: not like the slow talker from the first debates in
- 12:07Speaker 2: the primary, he just was awful against Mom Donnie. Mom
- 12:10Speaker 2: Donnie just wiped him out. But he was good last night.
- 12:12Speaker 2: He had a good night. So we'll see if that doesn't.
- 12:14Speaker 2: You know, one of the big problems with this race,
- 12:16Speaker 2: we haven't had any polling at all. You know, you
- 12:19Speaker 2: see it sometimes in the news, you'll see some poll.
- 12:20Speaker 2: It's just some junk poll, some college poll, some tiny
- 12:25Speaker 2: polling company, nobody ever heard of. These aren't These are
- 12:27Speaker 2: totally worthless, These poles. I wouldn't trust them for a second.
- 12:30Speaker 2: A couple of them done by Cuomo people disguised, you know,
- 12:35Speaker 2: as somebody else, but I wouldn't. So we have never
- 12:38Speaker 2: had any real polling in the last few weeks, and
- 12:40Speaker 2: we've had no polling after the first debate or the
- 12:44Speaker 2: second debate, so we really don't know anything. Kind of
- 12:46Speaker 2: flying blind, So we'll see what happened. You know, what's
- 12:49Speaker 2: interesting all the people that are pushing Cuomo, you know,
- 12:52Speaker 2: the Bill ackmant, gotta get Cuomo. We can't have down
- 12:55Speaker 2: we got. They don't like Cuomo at all. You don't
- 12:57Speaker 2: think much of them. They don't think he'd be great.
- 13:00Speaker 2: It's just that they hate Mam Donnie. They just think
- 13:02Speaker 2: Mom Donnie is so bad. We'll settle. We'll settle for Cuomo,
- 13:06Speaker 2: who you can't stand. And Cuomo was on the morning
- 13:09Speaker 2: show this morning here at w R. He was here
- 13:12Speaker 2: and he admitted to that. Listen to him, talk to
- 13:14Speaker 2: Larry Mente. He actually admitted, nobody really likes him. They
- 13:18Speaker 2: just hate Mam Donnie Moore.
- 13:19Speaker 5: If you're saying you will only vote for me because
- 13:24Speaker 5: you dislike Zoron Moore, it's not flattering.
- 13:33Speaker 2: Yeah, well there you go, no kidding. Anyway, we got.
- 13:37Speaker 2: We'll get back to the mirror debate. Well, we've got
- 13:40Speaker 2: lots to say about it. We'll get to that. We'll
- 13:43Speaker 2: get to we'll get to the ballroom meltdown. It's hysterical
- 13:49Speaker 2: this and it's a silly thing for Democrats. They're going
- 13:52Speaker 2: crazy over the ballroom. You know, they destroyed the East Wing.
- 13:58Speaker 2: They're taking down part of the East but they'll put
- 14:00Speaker 2: it right back with a ballroom attached to it. And
- 14:03Speaker 2: I don't know why they're doing this because it's not
- 14:06Speaker 2: like the federal government building. And if the government built it,
- 14:09Speaker 2: this ballroom would take ten fifteen years. This is Trump
- 14:12Speaker 2: building it. He'll have it finished in four or five months,
- 14:15Speaker 2: and it will look magnificent. It looks so beautiful that
- 14:19Speaker 2: you'll sound nuts that you were complaining about it. You know,
- 14:22Speaker 2: you know what's in the east wing. You know, you
- 14:24Speaker 2: saw they knocked down the wall and half the east wing.
- 14:26Speaker 2: You know what that was. You know what's in the
- 14:29Speaker 2: East wing? Nothing? Really, it's it does have the first
- 14:32Speaker 2: Lady's office in it, but that's two three rooms. You know,
- 14:35Speaker 2: you can move that to somewhere else in the building
- 14:37Speaker 2: very easily. But what's the big stuff in the east wing.
- 14:40Speaker 2: The biggest thing in there is the calligraphy office. Seriously,
- 14:44Speaker 2: it's a big, huge calligraphy center and that's where they
- 14:47Speaker 2: do the place cards for the dinner and the invitations.
- 14:50Speaker 2: So that's what got knocked out there. But this is nothing,
- 14:56Speaker 2: This construction nothing compared to what's been done in the
- 14:58Speaker 2: White House before nineteen forty eight. Truman gutted the entire
- 15:03Speaker 2: White House, literally gutted it. All that was left was
- 15:06Speaker 2: the exterior walls. They gutted the entire White House and
- 15:10Speaker 2: rebuilt it. So but there's a million check out my Twitter.
- 15:13Speaker 2: There's a picture up there of like twelve different times,
- 15:16Speaker 2: twelve different presidents where you see massive wrecking balls and
- 15:19Speaker 2: cranes tearing up parts of the White House. Done all
- 15:21Speaker 2: the time. But anyway, we'll get back to that. We'll
- 15:24Speaker 2: take some calls in a minute. Eight hundred three two
- 15:27Speaker 2: one zero seven ten is the number eight hundred three
- 15:31Speaker 2: two one zero seven ten.
- 15:33Speaker 3: If you're listening to Mark on the iHeartRadio app, save
- 15:36Speaker 3: time and tap the preset button.
- 15:38Speaker 2: Now.
- 15:39Speaker 1: Now back to the Mark Simon Show on wor.
- 15:45Speaker 2: Well, let's take some calls. Let's go to Diane in Illinois. Diane,
- 15:48Speaker 2: how you doing.
- 15:50Speaker 7: I'm doing good, Mark, good morning.
- 15:52Speaker 8: Hey.
- 15:52Speaker 7: You know I was looking at the price tag that'll
- 15:54Speaker 7: bollow you his fa port three hundred and seventy six million,
- 15:59Speaker 7: and that's the basketball court. Trump is building a nine
- 16:02Speaker 7: hundred seat ballroom for three hundred million. What would Obama's
- 16:06Speaker 7: basketball court, what would that translate into money wise in
- 16:09Speaker 7: the year twenty twenty five.
- 16:10Speaker 2: Yeah, No, Trump is always pointing that out when the
- 16:13Speaker 2: government builds a building like that new terminal at LaGuardia,
- 16:16Speaker 2: twenty four billion private sector. If they had done it
- 16:20Speaker 2: eight hundred million. They just overspent. Like Trump said in
- 16:25Speaker 2: the they said how much would a wall cost on
- 16:27Speaker 2: the border, and he said whatever, he said one two billion,
- 16:31Speaker 2: and he pointed to the Senator. He goes, twelve billion
- 16:33Speaker 2: if these guys did it. Yeah, Obama spent exactly three
- 16:37Speaker 2: hundred and eighty million to build a basketball court. And
- 16:40Speaker 2: Trump dies, but.
- 16:41Speaker 7: I guess, but in my what would three hundred and
- 16:43Speaker 7: seventy six million translate into dollars in twenty twenty five.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Probably four hundred and fifty million, So like half a
- 16:51Speaker 2: billion dollars to build a basketball court. Thanks for calling, Diane.
- 16:54Speaker 2: You know it's the same thing. This is all started
- 16:56Speaker 2: a million years ago with the woman rink, member of
- 16:59Speaker 2: the woman rank. The city was up till like twenty
- 17:01Speaker 2: five million. This is back in the eighties. That's like
- 17:04Speaker 2: one hundred million today. So and it went on for
- 17:08Speaker 2: years and Trump finally spoke out public. He said, it's
- 17:10Speaker 2: just a slab of concrete. It doesn't cost anything. He
- 17:13Speaker 2: got no fight with Koch, and Trump said, I'll build
- 17:16Speaker 2: it in a few weeks for a few hundred thousand,
- 17:19Speaker 2: I'll pay for it. And then Koch called his bluff
- 17:22Speaker 2: and he did it. That's the difference between government doing
- 17:25Speaker 2: something in the private sector. Let's go to Christine in
- 17:28Speaker 2: Long Island. Christine, how you doing?
- 17:31Speaker 9: But wait a minute, my market, I've listened to you
- 17:34Speaker 9: for decades.
- 17:35Speaker 2: Oh my god, Well, I hope you were taking time
- 17:37Speaker 2: out for meals and everything.
- 17:40Speaker 5: Yes, okay.
- 17:41Speaker 9: My question is this, and what has Juran Mandami's done
- 17:47Speaker 9: as an assemblyman? He was in for five years I believe,
- 17:52Speaker 9: and months ago I heard that he posted one bill,
- 17:55Speaker 9: but I don't know if it ever passed.
- 17:57Speaker 2: No, he did nothing there, but that's not unusual most
- 18:00Speaker 2: of these assembly people. It's like part time work for them.
- 18:03Speaker 2: They show up once in a while, most of them
- 18:04Speaker 2: don't do much of anything.
- 18:05Speaker 7: Voters take this up.
- 18:07Speaker 9: Last month, a voter called in from Idaho, saying, what
- 18:12Speaker 9: has this man done? Nobody talks about what has he
- 18:15Speaker 9: actually done?
- 18:16Speaker 2: Well, imagine if you had actual, actual media instead of biased,
- 18:21Speaker 2: corrupt media, they would be covering this constantly. Where are
- 18:23Speaker 2: you in Long Island?
- 18:25Speaker 9: I'm in Rock Oh.
- 18:27Speaker 2: You're gonna vote for Bruce Blakeman I hope absolutely all right.
- 18:32Speaker 2: And Ann Donnelly's running for DA. Bruce Blakeman the best
- 18:35Speaker 2: county executive in America. Make sure you vote for him.
- 18:37Speaker 2: Let's go to Denise and Staten Island. Denise, how you doing?
- 18:42Speaker 10: Holy good morning?
- 18:42Speaker 2: Moore, tell you good.
- 18:45Speaker 10: I wanted to ask you if you could point out
- 18:48Speaker 10: that at last night's debate. First of all, I'm a
- 18:50Speaker 10: big supporter of Courteslila, and I will be early voting
- 18:53Speaker 10: for him Saturday morning. I'm on the South Shore area
- 18:57Speaker 10: of Staten Island. But I'd like you to point out
- 18:59Speaker 10: some time today if you could one point that Curtis
- 19:03Speaker 10: Slieva made last night and the room felt silent, and
- 19:08Speaker 10: the other two that point he's mentioned how billions were
- 19:14Speaker 10: coming into New York are being paid for legal immigrants.
- 19:18Speaker 10: Well every day New York citizens were sufferings financially.
- 19:23Speaker 2: He's made that point. Everybody makes that point all the time.
- 19:26Speaker 2: All that money wasted on the illegals that could have
- 19:29Speaker 2: been taking care of New Yorkers. Let's go to Mike
- 19:31Speaker 2: in New Jersey. Mike, how you doing, Mark? How you doing? Good?
- 19:36Speaker 11: Good?
- 19:36Speaker 8: I'll tell you the thing like this, Curtis is probably
- 19:39Speaker 8: the best carrying that we've had in a very long time.
- 19:42Speaker 8: A man has spent decades of his life fighting crime.
- 19:45Speaker 8: You know, he volunteered to do that. And he also
- 19:47Speaker 8: said the homeless he dealt with a lot of crazy people. Yes,
- 19:50Speaker 8: he very dedicated self, was individual, and he has these
- 19:53Speaker 8: articulate he has.
- 19:54Speaker 2: Ideas, familiar with, familiar with Curtis.
- 19:59Speaker 8: I get it. End of the day, they want to
- 20:01Speaker 8: blame Curtis. If God forbid, this guy's are on Winds wins.
- 20:05Speaker 8: This is a societal issue. There's not Curtis Lee was problems.
- 20:08Speaker 2: No, Curtis belongs in the race. Everything you said is correct.
- 20:12Speaker 2: If you want to blame somebody, blame Cuomo. What the
- 20:14Speaker 2: hell is he doing in this race? Why did he
- 20:17Speaker 2: even show up for this Curtis Everything you just said
- 20:20Speaker 2: is correct. And Cuomo's never even lived in New York City.
- 20:24Speaker 2: He's from the suburbs. You know, every mayor who's run
- 20:27Speaker 2: for mayor of New York lives in New York City.
- 20:29Speaker 2: Is the first time we've ever had a mayor who
- 20:31Speaker 2: spent his entire adult life not living in New York City,
- 20:34Speaker 2: living in the suburbs. We've had mayors born out of town.
- 20:38Speaker 2: You know, Mike Bloomberg was from Massachusetts. David Dinkins grew
- 20:42Speaker 2: up in New Jersey, but they all lived in New
- 20:44Speaker 2: York City their entire adult life. One more real fast,
- 20:46Speaker 2: Let's go to Katie and Chappaqua.
- 20:49Speaker 12: Katie, how you doing, Hi, Mark, I have a comment
- 20:53Speaker 12: about the debate, and then I have a question. So
- 20:56Speaker 12: I watched it online and you know, on the side
- 20:59Speaker 12: there's check comments and there it was really fun, I
- 21:03Speaker 12: mean almost There was lots and lots of support for
- 21:06Speaker 12: Curtis and mostly criticism for Cuomo and Londani. And then
- 21:11Speaker 12: I wanted to ask you, like, how in the world
- 21:14Speaker 12: could it be asking Curtis to drop out when he's
- 21:16Speaker 12: the only Republican and he's against two Democrats.
- 21:19Speaker 2: Yeah, well, you know, most people are not asking him
- 21:21Speaker 2: to be out. That Trump has recruited some of these
- 21:24Speaker 2: public figures, some billionaires like Bill Ackman to be all
- 21:27Speaker 2: over the airwaves telling Curtis to drop out. But if
- 21:31Speaker 2: you talk to actual voters, they don't want Curtis to
- 21:34Speaker 2: drop out. You you can't have a major party candidate
- 21:37Speaker 2: drop out. They had Cuomo not been in the race,
- 21:39Speaker 2: it would have been a whole different story. Cuomo was
- 21:41Speaker 2: like a third party candidate who just showed up here
- 21:44Speaker 2: because he had nowhere else to go. But you got
- 21:46Speaker 2: to give him credit. He had a good debate last night.
- 21:48Speaker 2: He was strong in the debate last night. Hey, when
- 21:50Speaker 2: we come back, Steve Moore will be with us. We
- 21:54Speaker 2: hope we'll see No. I want to talk to him.
- 21:59Speaker 2: A lot of big economic things to talk. We'll get
- 22:01Speaker 2: to that next on seven to ten. Wor welcome back
- 22:05Speaker 2: to the Mark Simone shown En Woor. Well, Steve Moore,
- 22:10Speaker 2: the great economists. You should get his book, The Trump
- 22:14Speaker 2: Economic Miracle. You love it, of course, read all his columns.
- 22:16Speaker 2: And he runs the Committee to Unleash Prosperity and every
- 22:20Speaker 2: day they put out the best daily briefing, news and analysis,
- 22:24Speaker 2: so called the Hotline. You can sign up where it's free.
- 22:27Speaker 2: It'll come right to your email. A lot of people
- 22:29Speaker 2: read this. Go to Unleash Prosperity dot com. Steve Moore,
- 22:33Speaker 2: how you doing.
- 22:35Speaker 13: Hey, Mark, you're doing well. Thanks for having me. What
- 22:38Speaker 13: a tumultuous week. The government is still shut down. It's unbelievable.
- 22:41Speaker 13: I thought this would last a couple of days. It's
- 22:43Speaker 13: been several weeks now. It's causing more and more disruption.
- 22:47Speaker 13: I don't know if you've been traveling at all, but
- 22:49Speaker 13: there's a you know, a lot of delays at the
- 22:50Speaker 13: airports and so on. So we got to get this
- 22:52Speaker 13: thing settled. But Republicans cannot cave in here. I mean,
- 22:55Speaker 13: we're trying to slice just a little bit of the
- 22:57Speaker 13: cost of our government, and the Democrats won't even allow it.
- 23:01Speaker 13: Two cents saving out of every dollar that we're spending,
- 23:04Speaker 13: two cents out of every dollar.
- 23:05Speaker 8: It's unbelievable.
- 23:06Speaker 2: So if you listen to Chuck Schumer, it's healthcare premiums.
- 23:09Speaker 2: Everybody's going to die. What is the truth about this
- 23:12Speaker 2: fight with the healthcare Well.
- 23:13Speaker 13: I think the real villain here. I mean, this is
- 23:15Speaker 13: a teachable lesson for all of us that remember it
- 23:18Speaker 13: was fifteen years ago that we passed Obamacare. In fact,
- 23:21Speaker 13: I was just looking on Fox News and they were
- 23:23Speaker 13: sapping up they showed a you know, a clip of
- 23:28Speaker 13: Obama signing the Obamacare law. Do you remember, Mark, what
- 23:33Speaker 13: the name of the Obamacare.
- 23:35Speaker 2: Law was, the Affordable Care Act.
- 23:39Speaker 13: I mean, how ironic. I mean, all that's happened since
- 23:43Speaker 13: we pasked the quote Affordable Care actors that healthcare gets
- 23:46Speaker 13: more and more and more expensive. Report the other day
- 23:50Speaker 13: that the average family is now paying thirty thousand dollars
- 23:53Speaker 13: a year what on health insurance because it's just so
- 23:57Speaker 13: expensive now and so and by the way, some of
- 23:59Speaker 13: that is paid by their employers, but it's it's a
- 24:03Speaker 13: giant it's a giant tax on the American economy. By
- 24:06Speaker 13: the way, the insurance companies are one of the villains here.
- 24:09Speaker 2: They're in on this.
- 24:10Speaker 13: They're all for expanding Obamacare subsidies because the money goes
- 24:13Speaker 13: right into their pockets. But what they're basically saying is
- 24:17Speaker 13: we want to make sure that people were not even
- 24:19Speaker 13: eligible for Medicare and Medicaid get the get the benefits
- 24:23Speaker 13: because you know, we're so we're so rich with cash
- 24:25Speaker 13: in Washington, we can be passing around free money. It's
- 24:28Speaker 13: really it's really quite outrageous. And we if we if
- 24:30Speaker 13: the Republicans came in here, we might as well just say, okay,
- 24:33Speaker 13: we're going to run two trillion dollar efforts from now
- 24:36Speaker 13: until forever.
- 24:37Speaker 2: Yeah, let me issue something. You know, they announced the
- 24:39Speaker 2: terrorists every says that's going to crash the whole market.
- 24:42Speaker 2: They announce shutdown it's going to crash the whole market.
- 24:45Speaker 2: Russian sanctions is going to crash the whole market is fine,
- 24:48Speaker 2: it's setting new records all the time. Why is that?
- 24:50Speaker 13: This is that it is unbelievable. By the way, just
- 24:53Speaker 13: give you some context here. You know the forty Let
- 24:59Speaker 13: see forty five years ago that Ronald Reagan was elected president.
- 25:03Speaker 13: Do you know what the Dow Jones Industrial average was
- 25:05Speaker 13: back then?
- 25:05Speaker 2: There six thousand.
- 25:10Speaker 13: Not even close, my friends, it was one thousand. What
- 25:13Speaker 13: to think about that? It was one thousands. Can look
- 25:15Speaker 13: it up. The Dow is at one thousand. Now here
- 25:18Speaker 13: we are forty five years later, after the Reagan Revolution
- 25:20Speaker 13: and the Trump Revolution, and it is at forty forty
- 25:24Speaker 13: six thousand last time I checked. So we've seen the
- 25:27Speaker 13: biggest period of wealth creation in the history of civilization here.
- 25:30Speaker 13: It's an incredible success story of the American economy. And
- 25:35Speaker 13: we need to get more and more Americans invested in
- 25:38Speaker 13: the market because that's how you make Maybe you make
- 25:40Speaker 13: money is you save and you invest. But now we're
- 25:44Speaker 13: in a situation, as you said, remember Paul Krugman, all
- 25:48Speaker 13: these people when when a Trump was elected both in
- 25:50Speaker 13: twenty sixteen and twenty twenty four. Oh my god, Armageddon's coming.
- 25:53Speaker 13: We're all going to die. The sock market's going to crash.
- 25:57Speaker 13: It's going to be another, you know, another nineteen twenty
- 26:00Speaker 13: nine crash. Gee, where is it then? Because you're right,
- 26:03Speaker 13: the market, the stock market, the Dow Jones, the Nasdaq,
- 26:08Speaker 13: the S and P five hundred, and the Russell two
- 26:11Speaker 13: thousand are at all time highs. Thank you Donald Trump.
- 26:14Speaker 2: Wow. So these Wall Street guys, I guess they know
- 26:19Speaker 2: what they're doing. So that indicate that it's a very
- 26:21Speaker 2: very stable economy no matter what sanctions or whatever happens.
- 26:26Speaker 13: I started say thing, Emma.
- 26:28Speaker 2: The fact that the stock market is holding it, it
- 26:30Speaker 2: just means that it's a very rock solid, steady economy
- 26:33Speaker 2: underneath everything.
- 26:34Speaker 13: Well it is. I mean, look, the stock market is
- 26:36Speaker 13: very volatile, you know, and it could crash by two
- 26:38Speaker 13: thousand points from how you never know. But so I
- 26:41Speaker 13: don't want to get too carried away of the market.
- 26:43Speaker 13: But there is a lot of confidence in the American
- 26:45Speaker 13: economy right now, and I think that is a result
- 26:48Speaker 13: of the fact that all of this investment capital is
- 26:50Speaker 13: coming into the country because of Trump. You know, Trump
- 26:53Speaker 13: isn't attracting hundreds and hundreds of billions.
- 26:56Speaker 2: He says trillions.
- 26:56Speaker 8: I don't know if it's trillions, but it's yeah. And
- 27:00Speaker 8: you know that's a lot of money. And if you
- 27:02Speaker 8: think all that money is coming to the American economy,
- 27:04Speaker 8: then of course what do you want to do. You
- 27:05Speaker 8: want to get in front of that, You want to
- 27:07Speaker 8: invest before that, right, Yeah, and so you know that
- 27:12Speaker 8: that's what you need to do is be confident in
- 27:14Speaker 8: the American economy. Look, I think we need a new
- 27:17Speaker 8: FED chairman. You and I have talked about this because
- 27:20Speaker 8: we've got a guy who doesn't know what he's doing
- 27:22Speaker 8: in jer own Powell.
- 27:24Speaker 13: But how about this?
- 27:25Speaker 8: What is it that Larry Kudlow? Isn't it?
- 27:26Speaker 9: No?
- 27:27Speaker 13: We need that because then we lose this show? Yeah, yeah,
- 27:31Speaker 13: with you and I are regulars on them. By the way, Mark,
- 27:33Speaker 13: you always do a great job on that show. I
- 27:35Speaker 13: always enjoy watching you. And what are you on this week?
- 27:38Speaker 2: By the way, you actually I was just on yesterday,
- 27:41Speaker 2: wasn't it? Yeah? Yesterday? You got yesterday? Okay, this is yesterday.
- 27:44Speaker 13: But anyway, so what about out Laugher, what about Steve Forbes?
- 27:48Speaker 13: What about somebody who actually knows something about the economy
- 27:50Speaker 13: and knows how to make because you know, we've had
- 27:52Speaker 13: such a volatile Why did we have twenty three percent
- 27:55Speaker 13: increase in prices under Biden? Well, partly because we spent
- 27:57Speaker 13: so much money, partly because we have a FED chairman
- 27:59Speaker 13: who knows not he doesn't know what he's doing.
- 28:01Speaker 2: Yeah. Absolutely, Hey, the other thing that causes a great economy.
- 28:07Speaker 2: We're doing very well as far as energy. We're improving
- 28:10Speaker 2: on our energy.
- 28:10Speaker 13: Oh my god, what a success story this is, I mean,
- 28:13Speaker 13: our energy we are I was just listening to Chris Wright,
- 28:17Speaker 13: who was a good friend of mine, by the way,
- 28:19Speaker 13: he's the new Energy Secretary doing a fantastic shop, and
- 28:23Speaker 13: he was making this point that we made in the
- 28:25Speaker 13: Hotline last week that the United States is now producing
- 28:28Speaker 13: more oil, gas and coal than any other time in
- 28:32Speaker 13: American history. So we're becoming an energy powerhouse again. The
- 28:36Speaker 13: problem is, Mark, if I may, You and I are
- 28:39Speaker 13: both old enough to remember the seventies and eighties when
- 28:41Speaker 13: OPEC had at the blade at our neck and they
- 28:44Speaker 13: could throw the American economy into recession by you know,
- 28:48Speaker 13: increasing or decreasing the amount of oil they were producing.
- 28:51Speaker 13: So we were completely hostage to the Arab nations and
- 28:55Speaker 13: to you know, the OAPEC countries, many of which are
- 28:58Speaker 13: not very favorical in the United States. It's well, we
- 29:01Speaker 13: how did we get out of that crisis we started?
- 29:03Speaker 13: You know, we had the shale oil revolution, which made
- 29:06Speaker 13: America the number one produced oil and.
- 29:08Speaker 8: We broke the back of the cartel. Now why do
- 29:11Speaker 8: I say that, Because now we have a situation with minerals,
- 29:14Speaker 8: precious minerals, the critical minerals we need for our national defense,
- 29:18Speaker 8: for our advanced manufacturing, for our microchips. And guess where
- 29:21Speaker 8: we're getting the minerals from where?
- 29:25Speaker 13: China?
- 29:25Speaker 2: Oh?
- 29:26Speaker 13: How crazy is that? We have twelve trillion dollars of
- 29:31Speaker 13: mineral resources right below our feet in the mountains of
- 29:36Speaker 13: West Virginia and the mountains of the Dakotas and then
- 29:40Speaker 13: Utah and Colorado. We have to be returning to a
- 29:45Speaker 13: mining powerhouse, just as we were for the you know,
- 29:49Speaker 13: for the first one hundred and fifty years of our country.
- 29:51Speaker 13: So we we should be mined. Just as Trump says, drill,
- 29:54Speaker 13: baby drill, I say, mine, baby mine.
- 29:58Speaker 2: I don't know that sounds like too much common sense,
- 30:01Speaker 2: right exactly?
- 30:02Speaker 13: So much to do it, and we got a great
- 30:04Speaker 13: interior secretary.
- 30:05Speaker 2: And Doug Bergham, I love the guy.
- 30:07Speaker 13: Why would we want? You know, by the way, there's
- 30:09Speaker 13: two countries.
- 30:10Speaker 8: I misspoke.
- 30:10Speaker 13: There's two countries where we get our minerals from now China,
- 30:14Speaker 13: you know what.
- 30:14Speaker 2: The other one is India Russia.
- 30:17Speaker 13: Russia.
- 30:17Speaker 2: Oh even worse, Steeve, those.
- 30:19Speaker 13: Are two friendly countries in the United States. How stupid
- 30:23Speaker 13: is that?
- 30:23Speaker 2: Well?
- 30:23Speaker 13: I think sometimes I dig people in Washington take stupid
- 30:26Speaker 13: pills every morning. Oh you know what, we want them
- 30:29Speaker 13: to be dependent on us. We don't want to be
- 30:31Speaker 13: dependent on them.
- 30:32Speaker 2: Well, Steve Moore, a lot of wisdom, a lot of
- 30:33Speaker 2: common sense. Hey, everybody, subscribe to his common sense, right,
- 30:37Speaker 2: it's a lot. Subscribe to the hotline. It is the
- 30:40Speaker 2: best daily briefing in analysis. Go to Unleash Prosperity dot com.
- 30:44Speaker 2: It's free. Just sign up for it, and of course,
- 30:47Speaker 2: read Steve Moore's book, The Trump Economic Miracle. Watch them
- 30:50Speaker 2: all over television. Steve Moore, thanks for being with us.
- 30:54Speaker 13: Okay, Miles, have a great weekend.
- 30:55Speaker 2: Talk to you, Sam, right, take care, hey, and don't
- 30:58Speaker 2: forget Buck and Clay. They do a very good show.
- 31:00Speaker 2: It's every day right here at noon, right after this show,
- 31:03Speaker 2: right after the noon news on seven to ten wor, This.
- 31:08Speaker 1: Is Marmon Show on seven WR.
- 31:14Speaker 2: Well, let's take a break for the news, get caught
- 31:17Speaker 2: up on everything. Then in the next hour we'll go
- 31:19Speaker 2: over the Mayor Old debate. We'll get to the ballroom
- 31:22Speaker 2: meltdown by the Left and more coming up on seven
- 31:25Speaker 2: to ten WOR.
- 31:27Speaker 9: Mister New York Marks on seven ten WR.
- 31:35Speaker 2: Hey, we'll get to the Mayor ol debate in a moment.
- 31:39Speaker 2: The other big thing going on in this is fascinating.
- 31:42Speaker 2: You know, this Trump derangement syndrome is a weird thing
- 31:46Speaker 2: to catch, this Trump derangement syndrome. You know, like you
- 31:49Speaker 2: could start blowing up drug cartels, fentanyl shipments and they'll
- 31:53Speaker 2: oppose that. You could start arresting illegals and they'll oppose that.
- 31:57Speaker 2: Whatever he wants to do, they'll oppose. Now, the problem
- 32:01Speaker 2: is the White House needs a ballroom. They have the
- 32:05Speaker 2: East Room of the White House, which is where they
- 32:08Speaker 2: hold all the formal events, the President and state dinners
- 32:12Speaker 2: and all that. But it's a small room and they
- 32:16Speaker 2: say it holds two hundred people. But that's if you
- 32:18Speaker 2: just put chairs in you know, like but if you
- 32:20Speaker 2: want to have a dinner with tables, it really is
- 32:23Speaker 2: about one hundred people. It doesn't hold a lot of people.
- 32:27Speaker 2: So what they do when they have to have a
- 32:29Speaker 2: big event world leaders are some major event is they
- 32:32Speaker 2: put tents out on the lawn. But Trump is right,
- 32:36Speaker 2: it's kind of embarrassing. You bring a big world leader
- 32:39Speaker 2: here and for the dinner he's out in a tent
- 32:43Speaker 2: and the lawn like it's a wedding in Great Neck
- 32:46Speaker 2: or something. It's just too weird. So Trump wants a
- 32:49Speaker 2: ballroom and he's had you know, I mean, he's a
- 32:54Speaker 2: master at this. It's not like Joe Biden or George
- 32:57Speaker 2: Bush wants a ballroom. They don't know what the hell
- 32:59Speaker 2: they're doing. Here's a guy who's an absolute world expert
- 33:02Speaker 2: on construction and building ballrooms. He's built many of them.
- 33:06Speaker 2: Every one of his clubs, every one of his hotels,
- 33:09Speaker 2: they all have spectacular ballrooms. So he's done this a
- 33:13Speaker 2: hundred times. He knows how to do it, get it
- 33:15Speaker 2: done fast, and do a great job. But he's absolutely
- 33:19Speaker 2: right about this ballroom. You know, the Rose Garden and
- 33:24Speaker 2: that wasn't absolutely necessary, but they would have these ceremonies
- 33:27Speaker 2: out in the rose garden. It was just a big
- 33:28Speaker 2: grass field and a lot of times it rained and
- 33:31Speaker 2: you'd be standing on wet grass. And then every time
- 33:34Speaker 2: they'd have those things on the Rose Garden, they'd bring
- 33:37Speaker 2: out a hundred folding chairs and people, a couple hundred people,
- 33:40Speaker 2: and then they took it all away and the grass
- 33:42Speaker 2: was all messed up and they had to redo the grass.
- 33:44Speaker 2: So he decided to put a terrace out there, like
- 33:47Speaker 2: at mar A Lago. You know, they said he paved
- 33:49Speaker 2: it over. He didn't pave it over. It's really really fine,
- 33:53Speaker 2: world class tile that he made this terrace out of,
- 33:56Speaker 2: and it's the detail on it is amazing if you
- 33:59Speaker 2: look closely. He put a lot of drains in because
- 34:02Speaker 2: that's important, the good drainage. But you look at the
- 34:05Speaker 2: drains and the holes the slats. He had special drains
- 34:10Speaker 2: made where it looks like the American flag in the
- 34:12Speaker 2: drains in the hole. So it's absolutely amazing thing. And
- 34:15Speaker 2: they put these beautiful tables out, their beautiful chairs and
- 34:18Speaker 2: the heat lamps, and they have these dinners now out
- 34:21Speaker 2: in the Rose gardener, these luncheons out in the Rose garden.
- 34:24Speaker 2: It's absolutely beautiful. So he's right about that. The ballroom
- 34:27Speaker 2: construction will be next to the East wing. If you
- 34:30Speaker 2: look where the West wing is not enough room on
- 34:33Speaker 2: the other side of the West wing. There's just very
- 34:36Speaker 2: little room between there and the street. Also, you don't
- 34:38Speaker 2: want the ballroom next to the west wing, but the
- 34:41Speaker 2: east wing. Nothing goes out in the East wing, absolutely nothing.
- 34:45Speaker 2: It's way down in the end. The biggest thing in
- 34:48Speaker 2: there is the calligraphy office. That's where they make the
- 34:51Speaker 2: place cards for dinners and the invitations. It's just like
- 34:54Speaker 2: a very minor business office way at the end of
- 34:57Speaker 2: the White House. First Lady's office is in there, but
- 34:59Speaker 2: that's easily moved. In fact, when Hillary Clinton was the
- 35:03Speaker 2: first Lady, she knew not want to be in the
- 35:05Speaker 2: East wing because it was like a warehouse way at
- 35:08Speaker 2: the end. So she insisted on having offices in the
- 35:10Speaker 2: west wing. So they're going to add this ballroom to
- 35:14Speaker 2: the east wing. And it's a big, big ballroom. It's
- 35:16Speaker 2: going to be a big structure. It'll hold about eight
- 35:19Speaker 2: hundred people. It'll be huge, it'll be magnificent. You can
- 35:22Speaker 2: go online, you can see the pictures of what it'll
- 35:24Speaker 2: look like the sketches, the drawings, absolutely beautiful. Now the
- 35:29Speaker 2: left is going nuts, absolutely nuts. Now, I think the
- 35:33Speaker 2: secret reason, one reason is they know when this thing
- 35:37Speaker 2: is built, it'll be used constantly and forever that it
- 35:40Speaker 2: will be part of Trump's legacy. Forever. It'll be a
- 35:43Speaker 2: big part of the White House, and the people will
- 35:45Speaker 2: always remember Trump. So I think that's the real reason
- 35:48Speaker 2: they hate this thing. Now, then the pictures came out
- 35:51Speaker 2: of the wrecking ball and the cranes, and they're taken
- 35:55Speaker 2: down the whole wall, the whole front of the East wing,
- 35:58Speaker 2: the whole side of it. They turned it down. And
- 36:01Speaker 2: this is what it's got these crazy left wingers all
- 36:03Speaker 2: up in arms, they yelling and screaming. Now the New
- 36:06Speaker 2: York Times, big article. Now, some of them were arguing
- 36:10Speaker 2: that he lied. He said he wouldn't touch that wall.
- 36:13Speaker 2: He said he wouldn't take down that big Well, I
- 36:16Speaker 2: think they were trying to do it without taking down
- 36:17Speaker 2: all that stuff. But they looked at it, and you know,
- 36:19Speaker 2: the structural engineers look and you do have to take
- 36:22Speaker 2: it down. Now, here's the other thing. This is not
- 36:25Speaker 2: unusual to do construction like this. It's happened a million
- 36:28Speaker 2: times at the White House. In fact, I think it
- 36:31Speaker 2: was Theodore Roosevelt actually built the West wing. At the time,
- 36:36Speaker 2: there was no west wing. He added that. Somebody else
- 36:39Speaker 2: added the east wing, and then I forget which president
- 36:43Speaker 2: was it, fort somebody added a second floor to the
- 36:47Speaker 2: east wing. They just keep building additions to the White House.
- 36:50Speaker 2: The Truman Balcony they call it that because Truman built it.
- 36:53Speaker 2: There was no balcony like that. He built that onto
- 36:55Speaker 2: the White House. And it was Truman in nineteen forty
- 37:01Speaker 2: who gutted the White House. They literally gutted the entire
- 37:05Speaker 2: White House. They tore everything that was out of the
- 37:07Speaker 2: White House. All they left was the exterior walls. Now,
- 37:10Speaker 2: one of the reasons the White House had been built
- 37:13Speaker 2: in a million years ago, and there were so many
- 37:15Speaker 2: structural problems that they had to redo the whole building.
- 37:19Speaker 2: And you know, instead of the way it was built
- 37:21Speaker 2: out of you steel, and they looked at it. The
- 37:24Speaker 2: only way to do it really was to gut the building.
- 37:26Speaker 2: So the President had to move out of the White
- 37:28Speaker 2: House for a couple of years while they gutted the
- 37:31Speaker 2: entire inside of the White House and rebuilt it. So
- 37:34Speaker 2: construction is not unusual. But the liberals melting down. Here's
- 37:38Speaker 2: the clucking hens on the View yesterday.
- 37:40Speaker 1: That is not your building. You don't own that. You alone,
- 37:48Speaker 1: you take it.
- 37:50Speaker 9: Down, you don't own it.
- 37:53Speaker 12: I looked up the word nihilist while I had free moment.
- 37:57Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what he is.
- 38:00Speaker 12: This is a metaphor for what's going on in our country.
- 38:03Speaker 2: He is tearing down.
- 38:05Speaker 1: The house.
- 38:07Speaker 2: Right now. This is one of the this is one
- 38:09Speaker 2: of what they call the low IQ shows. This is
- 38:11Speaker 2: a low IQ show. But if you watch the high
- 38:13Speaker 2: IQ shows, you know, if you're watching Morning Joe or
- 38:16Speaker 2: PBS or you know, same thing the New York Times.
- 38:20Speaker 2: He's destroying. This is what they call it desecration. It's desecration. Now,
- 38:24Speaker 2: the problem with this, in six months, you're gonna have
- 38:27Speaker 2: this magnificent, beautiful structure. So they're going to be playing
- 38:31Speaker 2: your clips back and you're going to look kind of silly.
- 38:33Speaker 14: His President Trump, we're building a world class ballroom. You know,
- 38:37Speaker 14: for one hundred and fifty years they've wanted a ballroom.
- 38:40Speaker 2: Here.
- 38:40Speaker 14: I said, if I do this again, I'm going to
- 38:42Speaker 14: get a ballroom built, and we're putting up our own money.
- 38:45Speaker 14: With the government just paying for nothing. You probably hear
- 38:48Speaker 14: the beautiful sound of construction to the back. You hear
- 38:52Speaker 14: that sound, Oh that's music to my ears.
- 38:56Speaker 2: You know, when you hear construction, you get sick. He
- 38:58Speaker 2: loves it. He loves it. It's his music. He really
- 39:01Speaker 2: loves it.
- 39:01Speaker 15: We are using little sections of footings and various other things,
- 39:04Speaker 15: but that's sort of irrelevant. In order to do it properly,
- 39:08Speaker 15: we had to take down the existing structure. It's about
- 39:12Speaker 15: three hundred million dollars. It's set to do many, many things,
- 39:15Speaker 15: including meetings of foreign leaders, including the honoring of foreign leaders.
- 39:20Speaker 2: Yeah. Now, remember he's owned a lot of hotels, a
- 39:25Speaker 2: lot of resorts. He's put ballrooms in all of them,
- 39:28Speaker 2: so he's an expert at this. If the government tried
- 39:30Speaker 2: to build this ballroom would take ten years. He'll get
- 39:33Speaker 2: it done in a matter of months. It'll be done
- 39:35Speaker 2: very very fast. It'll look beautiful. You know, a normal
- 39:41Speaker 2: present couldn't do this. He'd have to rely on the government.
- 39:44Speaker 2: There's some government though building office. It would have to look,
- 39:48Speaker 2: you know, put contracts out for bidding. But you know,
- 39:51Speaker 2: Trump knows every you know, who's the best construction who's
- 39:54Speaker 2: the best crane guy, who's the best wrecking company. When
- 39:57Speaker 2: he put that gold leaf on the walls, he knows
- 39:59Speaker 2: who the best gold guy to bring in. So he's
- 40:02Speaker 2: done it a million times, so it's gonna look great.
- 40:07Speaker 2: You know, they did this at the capital a while back.
- 40:09Speaker 2: They years ago, they started blowing holes in the side
- 40:13Speaker 2: of the Capitol, digging up the ground. Terry was awful
- 40:16Speaker 2: construction site. What they were doing was building the visitors Center,
- 40:20Speaker 2: which now a million years later is a very important
- 40:23Speaker 2: part of the Capitol and it's magnificent. The visitor Center
- 40:25Speaker 2: is the most beautiful thing there. So this will pay off.
- 40:28Speaker 2: This will be great. That's the real reason they really
- 40:30Speaker 2: hate this. And then hey New Jersey, you got this
- 40:34Speaker 2: governor's race. Chitdarelli in Mikey Cheryl. It's tied, looks close.
- 40:43Speaker 2: I think she's They do their own private polling. These
- 40:46Speaker 2: public polls are just junkie polls, but in private they
- 40:50Speaker 2: do some serious, really expensive polling. I think she saw
- 40:53Speaker 2: she was in trouble because she went to Obama for help.
- 40:56Speaker 2: She needs Obama to campaign for her endorser, and he did.
- 41:00Speaker 2: He just he came right out and endorsed her, but
- 41:04Speaker 2: you'll notice he didn't show up. Normally, endorsement means you
- 41:07Speaker 2: fly in, you do a rally, you take pictures together.
- 41:10Speaker 2: You have pictures of you holding hands, you know him
- 41:14Speaker 2: with his you know, give him that fist pump signal,
- 41:17Speaker 2: and great pictures of them together. Those go all over
- 41:20Speaker 2: the place. Well, apparently Obama not that interested in Mikey Cheryl.
- 41:24Speaker 2: He did not fly in. He sent a video. You know,
- 41:26Speaker 2: it's like the guy that doesn't want to show up
- 41:28Speaker 2: at the charity dinner, the honoree, so he'll send a video.
- 41:31Speaker 2: You can play the video, and even with the video Obama,
- 41:35Speaker 2: you can see he's in his living room in an
- 41:37Speaker 2: easy chair with a sweater on. It's like, I'm not
- 41:39Speaker 2: even gonna put a jacket on for this video. So
- 41:42Speaker 2: obviously it didn't mean much to him this race. So
- 41:46Speaker 2: the debate last night, once again, it looks like it
- 41:51Speaker 2: was a good night for Cuomo. He had his best
- 41:54Speaker 2: debate ever. Now he had set the bar very low
- 41:58Speaker 2: because he's a bad debater. He got wiped out in
- 42:01Speaker 2: two debates in the primary. Mom Donnie just slaughtered him.
- 42:04Speaker 2: First debate. He was not strong, So he's obviously been practicing,
- 42:07Speaker 2: getting a lot of coaching for him. He was very
- 42:10Speaker 2: strong in the debate. Best guy in the debate was Curtis.
- 42:14Speaker 2: Curtis won the debate on issues on substance, on content,
- 42:19Speaker 2: But the moderators were trying as hard as they could
- 42:23Speaker 2: to keep Curtis out of it. They very rarely called
- 42:26Speaker 2: on him. They just focused on Cuomo and Mom Donnie.
- 42:30Speaker 2: They treated them like they were the major party candidates
- 42:33Speaker 2: and Curtis was the third party candidate. It's actually Cuomo
- 42:36Speaker 2: who's the outsider. He's the third party candidate. But the
- 42:40Speaker 2: monitor the moderators were trying very hard to push Cuomo
- 42:45Speaker 2: in this. One of the moderators is ERL. Lewis very
- 42:49Speaker 2: left wing Democrat, but his wife actually is employed within
- 42:53Speaker 2: the Cuomo world. There so, but here's part of it.
- 42:58Speaker 2: This was this is Coloma's best moment. He went after
- 43:01Speaker 2: Mom Donnie.
- 43:02Speaker 6: You have never had a job, You've never accomplished anything.
- 43:07Speaker 6: There's no reason to believe you have any merit or
- 43:10Speaker 6: qualification for eight and a half million lives. You don't
- 43:14Speaker 6: know how to run a government, you don't know how
- 43:16Speaker 6: to handle an emergency, and you've literally never proposed a
- 43:20Speaker 6: bill on anything that you're now talking about in your campaign.
- 43:24Speaker 2: All right, Como usually bad debates, was pretty strong there.
- 43:28Speaker 6: Yeah, the worst attendance record in the Assembly, and you
- 43:32Speaker 6: gave yourselves the highest raise in the United States of America.
- 43:38Speaker 6: You went from one hundred and ten thousand to one
- 43:40Speaker 6: hundred and forty thousand dollars, and then you never showed
- 43:44Speaker 6: up for work and you missed eighty.
- 43:45Speaker 2: Percent of the votes.
- 43:46Speaker 1: Shame on you, God.
- 43:48Speaker 2: Shame on you. That's the best Cuomo it's ever done.
- 43:50Speaker 2: So he's trying to pick up the pace. He's been
- 43:52Speaker 2: a horrible debater campaigner. But good a good night last
- 43:58Speaker 2: night Again Curtis won on substance on issues. Hey. Cuomo
- 44:02Speaker 2: also released a very good commercial. Cuomo released a very
- 44:07Speaker 2: powerful commercial. It was done with AI and it basically
- 44:11Speaker 2: said what would happen if Mom Donnie was mayor? And
- 44:13Speaker 2: then through AI it shows you New York falling apart
- 44:16Speaker 2: and burning up on fire, criminals running loose. Powerful video,
- 44:21Speaker 2: great TV commercial, but he pulled it right away something
- 44:26Speaker 2: I don't remember exactly what. One of the images in
- 44:28Speaker 2: there was offensive to somebody, so Cuomo caved, pulled it
- 44:31Speaker 2: off the air. Should have left it on, never taken
- 44:34Speaker 2: it off. That's the problem with Cuomo. He caves to
- 44:39Speaker 2: these left wing cooks. He goes woke. He's always afraid
- 44:42Speaker 2: not to cater to them, and that could be why
- 44:44Speaker 2: he screwed up so badly as governor with his no Bail,
- 44:47Speaker 2: No Jail closed the prisons. He was catering to the
- 44:49Speaker 2: left too much. But he shouldn't have pulled that commercial off.
- 44:52Speaker 2: There more from the debate.
- 44:54Speaker 4: If there was a ranker selection this, he'd have to
- 44:56Speaker 4: rank these myself Flumber one and come.
- 44:59Speaker 2: Who would who would mom Tony pick?
- 45:01Speaker 4: If there was a Rancher selection this, you'd have to
- 45:03Speaker 4: rank these, myself number one and Curtis number two.
- 45:06Speaker 3: Mister Slee, Oh please don't be galatian me here, so.
- 45:13Speaker 5: You kidding.
- 45:19Speaker 1: Choice? But I'd only vote for myself.
- 45:21Speaker 6: Mister I love that's Zorn and Curtis take that idea.
- 45:28Speaker 2: I don't know, I'm just enamored with it. I would
- 45:30Speaker 2: just rank myself. Yeah, but again, Curtis had a great night.
- 45:34Speaker 2: Curtis the best debate or funniest guy in the debate.
- 45:36Speaker 2: He had some great moments.
- 45:37Speaker 3: Sure on your resume could fit on a cocktail Napkin
- 45:42Speaker 3: and Andrew.
- 45:44Speaker 1: Your failures could.
- 45:45Speaker 3: Fill a public school library in New York City.
- 45:49Speaker 2: Yeah. So now the problem is we've had no polling
- 45:54Speaker 2: for weeks. I know, well, what about that, I saw
- 45:57Speaker 2: it in the news. It was just just a junk poll.
- 45:59Speaker 2: The last one a polling company nobody ever heard of,
- 46:03Speaker 2: done by a Cuomo lobbyist. But any of these college polls,
- 46:08Speaker 2: these they're just terrible. We've had no real polling yet,
- 46:10Speaker 2: so we don't know. We'll see. Early voting starts Saturday.
- 46:13Speaker 2: That's the key. Turnout. Get out there and vote for
- 46:17Speaker 2: not only Curtis, but you got a lot of important races.
- 46:20Speaker 2: You can really make a difference on Saturday, or it'll
- 46:23Speaker 2: be ten days of early voting. Then the election. You
- 46:25Speaker 2: can really make a difference by voting. Vote for Maud
- 46:29Speaker 2: Marin for District Attorney in Manhattan. You got to get
- 46:32Speaker 2: rid of this Alvin Bragg, the guy that lets all
- 46:33Speaker 2: the criminals out, the Republican challengers. Maud Marin, she's very good.
- 46:38Speaker 2: Vote for her. Vote for Bruce Blakeman in Nassau County.
- 46:42Speaker 2: Anne Donnelly for DA in Nasau County. But also in
- 46:45Speaker 2: New York you can change the City Council. The City
- 46:48Speaker 2: Council really runs New York. You can get rid of
- 46:50Speaker 2: some of those left wing kooks on the City Council,
- 46:53Speaker 2: So big opportunity in the election. Hey, Jimmy Fayla will
- 46:56Speaker 2: be with us in a few minutes and then we'll
- 46:58Speaker 2: take some calls. Next eight hundred three to two one
- 47:01Speaker 2: zero seven ten is the number eight hundred three two
- 47:05Speaker 2: one zero seven ten in Mark.
- 47:08Speaker 8: On Demand by setting up pre sad for his podcast
- 47:12Speaker 8: on the iHeartRadio app.
- 47:13Speaker 1: Now back to Mark Simon on wor.
- 47:17Speaker 2: Well, let's take some calls. Let's go to uh Claire
- 47:20Speaker 2: and Seegert Claire.
- 47:22Speaker 16: How you doing, I'm good, I love you show. Mark.
- 47:26Speaker 16: I have to say after the debate, which I watched online,
- 47:30Speaker 16: I caught the ten o'clock news Fox, and Uh, it
- 47:34Speaker 16: was lit. I think Liz is the reporter. She reported
- 47:39Speaker 16: that Como didn't hang around like the other two did
- 47:43Speaker 16: to speak to reporters. He made his way up to
- 47:46Speaker 16: the Gorden and caught the second half of the Knicks.
- 47:49Speaker 16: And who is he sitting next to Adams? You know
- 47:53Speaker 16: I'm a New.
- 47:54Speaker 2: York Yeah, Well he's trying to get Adam's endorsement. That's
- 47:57Speaker 2: why I think why he rushed over there to see
- 47:58Speaker 2: Adams and he didn't get.
- 48:00Speaker 16: A damn it that. And I'm I'm a name New
- 48:03Speaker 16: Yorker eighty years ago, and I tell you what, there's
- 48:08Speaker 16: no way a true Republican is gonna hold their news.
- 48:12Speaker 16: No one's gonna hold their nos.
- 48:14Speaker 11: And both for com Well, yeah.
- 48:15Speaker 2: That's the other problem. Thanks to there's this fantasy that
- 48:18Speaker 2: if Curtis dropped out, all his voters would go to Cuomo.
- 48:20Speaker 2: Most of them would just stay home. But after the debate,
- 48:23Speaker 2: Clomo rushed over to Madison Square Garden to sit with
- 48:26Speaker 2: Eric Adams and try to win that vote over. Let's
- 48:30Speaker 2: go to uh Rich and Myrtle beach Rich, How you
- 48:33Speaker 2: doing pretty good?
- 48:34Speaker 8: Mark?
- 48:35Speaker 13: Forty nine degrease here this morning, but it'll be up
- 48:37Speaker 13: to seventy before the day's over, so it's into a
- 48:40Speaker 13: real fall season here.
- 48:41Speaker 2: All right, all right, you win, It's only going to
- 48:44Speaker 2: like fifty nine here, all right, go ahead.
- 48:46Speaker 13: I almost thought they shot Croomo up with the same
- 48:48Speaker 13: stuff they used to shoot Biden up with, because you know,
- 48:51Speaker 13: he was yelling and screaming, and he actually looked animated
- 48:53Speaker 13: for a change. You know, Dana Perno had a good
- 48:56Speaker 13: remark this morning. You know, Cromo loves himself when God
- 49:00Speaker 13: loves the money, and Curtis loves New York. He's the
- 49:03Speaker 13: only guy up there that truly really loves New York City.
- 49:06Speaker 13: He's but his entire life there.
- 49:08Speaker 2: No, it's a good point. You know, Clomo was good
- 49:10Speaker 2: last night. You're right they might have shot him up
- 49:12Speaker 2: with some of that Biden's juice. But you're right. Nobody
- 49:17Speaker 2: would trust Mom Donnie, and nobody really trusts Cuomo, and
- 49:21Speaker 2: Curtis the only guy you could really, really actually trust
- 49:24Speaker 2: who seems to be sincere about everything. Let's go to
- 49:27Speaker 2: Vincent in Brooklyn. Vincent, how you doing.
- 49:30Speaker 11: Good morning, Mark, I'm fine, Hi Mara, I was pretty
- 49:34Speaker 11: animated debate. I have to agree with Rich and also
- 49:37Speaker 11: the previous call of that they must have juiced Cuomo
- 49:41Speaker 11: up with something. A lot of people have been tossing
- 49:44Speaker 11: around the fact that nobody pays the bus and the
- 49:50Speaker 11: subway fair. I've been telling friends that depends on what
- 49:54Speaker 11: neighborhood you are. I have to take a bus a
- 49:57Speaker 11: couple of stops to go to the place where I
- 50:00Speaker 11: lease my car and it's an Eastern parkway. It's a
- 50:06Speaker 11: nice neighborhood. I don't see anybody evading the bus there,
- 50:11Speaker 11: and even there are on the subways more often than
- 50:15Speaker 11: not where I live. It's the high school kids when
- 50:18Speaker 11: they get out of school. They're pulling pranks and they're
- 50:21Speaker 11: jumping over the thing. Here's one thing that everybody missed
- 50:25Speaker 11: yesterday that's in the works, Kathy Hawklan. This stupid New
- 50:30Speaker 11: York state legislature with this whole green energy and green ideas.
- 50:36Speaker 11: They're pushing this zero emissions law, which means by twenty
- 50:41Speaker 11: thirty all of the houses that currently are heated with
- 50:46Speaker 11: natural gas or with oil would have to do away
- 50:51Speaker 11: with their systems and put in these heat pumps. Well,
- 50:55Speaker 11: heat pumps are a relative from the turn of the
- 50:59Speaker 11: nineteenth Central where you had all these ducks going throughout
- 51:04Speaker 11: the building. The boiler was in the heat pump was
- 51:07Speaker 11: in the cellar. But the problem is is you still
- 51:10Speaker 11: got to use fuel. Usually you use gas and it
- 51:13Speaker 11: has a fan that pushes the heat throughout the building.
- 51:17Speaker 11: Once the fan and the he go off, the building
- 51:20Speaker 11: gets called and Curtis talked about it's going to cost landlords,
- 51:25Speaker 11: especially small landlords. You're talking about minimum Yeah, two thousand.
- 51:30Speaker 2: Yeah, Curtis had some great points. Excellent call, Vincent, thanks
- 51:33Speaker 2: for calling. Hey, when we come back, Jimmy Fayla, he'll
- 51:36Speaker 2: be with us next on seven to ten wor now more.
- 51:41Speaker 1: Mark Simone on SEVENR.
- 51:45Speaker 2: Well, Hey, we had a special dinner last night, big
- 51:48Speaker 2: beautiful steakhouse for twenty five of our biggest best sponsors,
- 51:52Speaker 2: and a few people spoke. Jimmy Fayla stole the show.
- 51:55Speaker 2: Everybody loved him. Jimmy fayalas now on WR you can
- 51:59Speaker 2: listen to him every night nine o'clock, nine to midnight.
- 52:03Speaker 2: Excellent show every weeknight, and he's got the best late
- 52:06Speaker 2: night show on television Saturday nights, ten o'clock, Fox News Channel.
- 52:11Speaker 2: Jimmy Fayla, how you doing well?
- 52:13Speaker 8: You know what, I didn't really arrive in showbiz till
- 52:17Speaker 8: I was telling jokes at a podium in a steakhouse.
- 52:19Speaker 2: At five point thirty.
- 52:20Speaker 8: I mean, that's the gig, you know, when you get
- 52:24Speaker 8: into the industry. You know, people dream about the Tonight
- 52:26Speaker 8: show in Vegas, but you know, anytime you're at an
- 52:28Speaker 8: East Side steakhouse at five pm with a sober crowd.
- 52:31Speaker 2: That's the real comedy.
- 52:32Speaker 8: But it was what a great night? Huh?
- 52:34Speaker 2: Yeah? Well, I hate to break it to you. Even
- 52:35Speaker 2: if you're hosting the tonight show, they'll make you go
- 52:37Speaker 2: to a dinner with all the top sponsors and tell
- 52:39Speaker 2: some jokes.
- 52:41Speaker 8: How do I do it all the time at Fox?
- 52:43Speaker 8: But we are such a good time, Like, it was
- 52:45Speaker 8: such a good hang. Obviously you kick it off at
- 52:47Speaker 8: a phenomenal job, so many laughs. Tossed it over to
- 52:51Speaker 8: Menty and you know what else?
- 52:52Speaker 2: And Menty was great as he always is.
- 52:54Speaker 8: And you know what was the most pleasant surprise of
- 52:56Speaker 8: it all is Brenda K.
- 52:58Speaker 2: Starr. Yeah, it was goaded.
- 53:00Speaker 8: Into singing God Bless America while we ate dinner. It
- 53:03Speaker 8: was like a weird dream, you know, because it felt
- 53:06Speaker 8: like a wedding rehearsal dinner.
- 53:08Speaker 2: And we all got up and gave it toast and breastless.
- 53:11Speaker 8: Saying but they didn't go through with the marriage, So
- 53:14Speaker 8: I guess that's good. What a night?
- 53:15Speaker 2: Huh? Yeah, that was very good. Thanks for doing that.
- 53:18Speaker 2: That was the sponsors love you? And how's it going
- 53:20Speaker 2: nine to midnight every night? Yeah?
- 53:23Speaker 8: I love that because that's those are my people. I mean,
- 53:25Speaker 8: if I wasn't on the radio nine to midnight talking
- 53:27Speaker 8: to people, I would have been driving them around in
- 53:30Speaker 8: a taxi talking to people. So it's the same audience, man.
- 53:35Speaker 8: So that for me has been a really good fun adjustment.
- 53:37Speaker 8: And the one thing I would tell you is when
- 53:41Speaker 8: you get on the air here, specifically New York, and
- 53:43Speaker 8: you know this from being from being from here, there's
- 53:45Speaker 8: a different energy to what we do, and there's an
- 53:48Speaker 8: authentic way of doing it. You know, we kind of
- 53:51Speaker 8: you know, we're a little more plain spoken here than
- 53:53Speaker 8: the rest of the country. So I enjoy being able
- 53:56Speaker 8: to do that communicate efficiently. You Now, in the rest
- 53:58Speaker 8: of the country, Mark, someone asks how you doing, They
- 54:01Speaker 8: actually want to know how you're doing, whereas in New
- 54:04Speaker 8: York we answer for you. We go how you doing good? Yeah,
- 54:07Speaker 8: Famili's good.
- 54:08Speaker 2: Kids. To take it away from it, you know, it's fair.
- 54:10Speaker 8: I love that. I love the efficiency of New York communication.
- 54:14Speaker 8: So it's been it's been a dream.
- 54:15Speaker 2: Uh. Jimmy Faylor breaking news, Eric Adams will endorse Andrew
- 54:19Speaker 2: Cuomo for mayor. Is that a shock?
- 54:22Speaker 8: Oh no, but that that that's going to throw an
- 54:25Speaker 8: additional twelve voters into Cuomo's column, all of wich your
- 54:30Speaker 8: bottle service waitresses on the uh in the West Village, right,
- 54:34Speaker 8: they vote, they vote, these twelve matter, Every vote counts.
- 54:38Speaker 8: Isn't that what they tell us?
- 54:40Speaker 1: Do you ever see a.
- 54:40Speaker 2: Race like this where they tell the actual Republican candidate
- 54:43Speaker 2: he has to drop out? Get out of the races,
- 54:45Speaker 2: you drop out.
- 54:46Speaker 8: It's an unpopular opinion right now, but it drives me
- 54:50Speaker 8: crazy that people are doing that at the Curtis. It's like, guys, Cuomo,
- 54:55Speaker 8: don't ever you know you know this? Okay, Cuomo got
- 54:58Speaker 8: you know, people killed with his covin strategy, lied about
- 55:01Speaker 8: it because he was negotiating a book deal, and then
- 55:04Speaker 8: got me tooed out of the mansion. Okay, if people
- 55:07Speaker 8: aren't voting for him, something tells me it has nothing
- 55:10Speaker 8: to do with the man.
- 55:11Speaker 2: In the red hat.
- 55:12Speaker 8: Okay, there is a Cuomo issue and Clomo caused it,
- 55:16Speaker 8: and the idea that the Republicans are supposed to just
- 55:19Speaker 8: determine which Democrat ruins the city. I don't think it's
- 55:24Speaker 8: our job as a party. So yeah, I'm not on
- 55:26Speaker 8: board with Curtis dropping. How did the Republicans go from
- 55:29Speaker 8: fight fight fight a year ago? To surrender, Surrender, surrender
- 55:32Speaker 8: a year later.
- 55:33Speaker 2: Yeah. I don't know if you saw the debate last night,
- 55:36Speaker 2: but do you think Clomo got some of that Joe
- 55:39Speaker 2: Biden injectioned juice or something. He was all pretty good.
- 55:41Speaker 2: He was fired up last night.
- 55:43Speaker 8: He was very animated. Apparently the deal fell through on
- 55:47Speaker 8: the house he's buying in Boca Ratone, so he had
- 55:50Speaker 8: to make one last ditch effort to remain a citizen
- 55:53Speaker 8: in New York. I guess I gotta try to win
- 55:56Speaker 8: this thing. You didn't like the interest rate or something,
- 55:58Speaker 8: But yeah, they jacked him up up and it look
- 56:01Speaker 8: did It reminded me of that State of the Union
- 56:02Speaker 8: where Biden screamed at us for an hour and a
- 56:04Speaker 8: half and if you remember, made the sign language interpreter
- 56:08Speaker 8: Shrub At the end of Biden's State of the Union, Mark,
- 56:11Speaker 8: he goes for real, Mark, anyone can google this. He goes,
- 56:14Speaker 8: now's the time to choose between unity and schmegging. A
- 56:17Speaker 8: hem and a hem, and like, what's this happened? What
- 56:21Speaker 8: the dose?
- 56:22Speaker 2: Hey? Jimmy flis on every night nine to midnight on WORR.
- 56:26Speaker 2: Make sure you listen tonight nine o'clock. Do you say
- 56:29Speaker 2: what is the deal with this NBA FBI announced as
- 56:32Speaker 2: an NBA gambling scandal? Have you ever heard of such
- 56:36Speaker 2: a thing betting on basketball?
- 56:38Speaker 8: Well, the betting on basketball has been out there, But
- 56:41Speaker 8: it sounds like these were fixed poker games. I mean,
- 56:44Speaker 8: you know, I'm listening. I'm a gambler. I ate a
- 56:46Speaker 8: chicken kebab in Times Square five minutes ago.
- 56:49Speaker 2: Like I'm a guy who rolls the dice.
- 56:50Speaker 8: Okay, But the point is, it sounds like it was
- 56:54Speaker 8: some heavily organized cheating in high stakes poker games and.
- 57:00Speaker 2: NBA guys were involved.
- 57:02Speaker 8: But it speaks to my theory that once they pumped
- 57:04Speaker 8: all of this gambling into pro sports, it's inevitable that
- 57:08Speaker 8: guys are gonna get popped because there's too much cash
- 57:10Speaker 8: flying around. You know this guy a Cleveland, Indians who's
- 57:12Speaker 8: a pitcher, who's banned for life right now because of.
- 57:15Speaker 1: His involvement in fixing.
- 57:17Speaker 8: And they don't have to fix games anymore because there's
- 57:19Speaker 8: so many other things you can bet. I'm like, Mark,
- 57:21Speaker 8: you can bet whether the national anthem is going to
- 57:24Speaker 8: go longer than ninety seconds. Like that's a real thing.
- 57:27Speaker 8: So are you telling me someone can't rease Brenda K.
- 57:30Speaker 8: Starr to hold the Home of the Brave for an
- 57:32Speaker 8: extra eight second. You know, of course you could. And
- 57:36Speaker 8: that's I'm not saying Brenda's got more integrity, but I
- 57:39Speaker 8: know a lot of people in Chopaz that would take
- 57:41Speaker 8: the money.
- 57:43Speaker 2: Hey, this White House, they're tearing down the wall. They're
- 57:46Speaker 2: gonna build a magnificent ballroom. These left wing Democrats screaming
- 57:50Speaker 2: about desecration. Are they crazy? What's wrong with them now?
- 57:55Speaker 8: Especially after you know, the last five years of tearing
- 57:58Speaker 8: down statues and let's not forget yeah, you know, because
- 58:01Speaker 8: that whole preserve our history argument. I'm like, you guys
- 58:03Speaker 8: tore down a Frederick Douglas statue. Okay. They also threw
- 58:07Speaker 8: so many rocks at the White House in Juna twenty
- 58:09Speaker 8: twenty they had to put up an additional barrier. Okay,
- 58:12Speaker 8: So this is not about the sanctity of the White House.
- 58:14Speaker 8: And everybody knows about the Obama renovation that actually cost
- 58:17Speaker 8: three hundred and seventy six million dollars and did you know,
- 58:20Speaker 8: build a taxpayer and not some Trump donors. So it's
- 58:24Speaker 8: all as you know, and I know this is just
- 58:26Speaker 8: like the latest performative outrage, but you know, suck it up.
- 58:30Speaker 8: Presidents do things. JFK put in a bowling lane, Nick,
- 58:33Speaker 8: excuse me, a pool, Nickson put in the bowling lane.
- 58:36Speaker 8: Clinton put in.
- 58:37Speaker 2: A stripper poll.
- 58:38Speaker 8: You know, guys are gonna leave their imprint. They're gonna
- 58:40Speaker 8: leave their imprint.
- 58:41Speaker 2: Yeah, but six months from now you can have a beautiful,
- 58:43Speaker 2: spectacular ballroom. These eclips of these liberals screaming they're not
- 58:48Speaker 2: gonna they're not gonna hold up, well, are.
- 58:50Speaker 8: They no, because they're reacting to these images as if
- 58:55Speaker 8: he just left it that way, but he's knocked down
- 58:58Speaker 8: part of the White House and he's like, anyway, happy Thursday,
- 59:02Speaker 8: everybody off you guys, they're rebuilding it. That's the point.
- 59:10Speaker 2: Well, you go, hey, make sure you listen to Jimmy
- 59:12Speaker 2: Fayla nine to midnight every weeknight on seven to ten.
- 59:16Speaker 2: W O right what he got tonight? Do you know yet? Oh,
- 59:19Speaker 2: it's a big one.
- 59:20Speaker 8: Kennedy's going to be here, Dave Landau is going to
- 59:22Speaker 8: be here, and we may have a special NBA guest
- 59:25Speaker 8: we're working on now to talk about this gambling segment
- 59:28Speaker 8: so that it has nothing to do with the integrity
- 59:30Speaker 8: of the league. I just got to find out how
- 59:31Speaker 8: to make some money off this stuff, that's all.
- 59:34Speaker 2: Also, he does the best late night show on TV.
- 59:36Speaker 2: It's Saturday nights at ten o'clock Fox News Channel, Saturday
- 59:40Speaker 2: nights at ten and they're online. Right, people miss Saturday Night,
- 59:43Speaker 2: they can go watch it and always Yeah, and make
- 59:47Speaker 2: sure you listen tonight nine to midnight watch him Saturday night,
- 59:51Speaker 2: ten o'clock Fox News Channel. Jimmy fayl a great job
- 59:54Speaker 2: last night. Thanks for being with us.
- 59:56Speaker 8: You too, You kill you the man see assume Boddy,
- 59:58Speaker 8: all right.
- 59:59Speaker 2: Take care. Yeah, we have a lot of great sponsors.
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: But like our Top twenty five, it was a big
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: dinner for them. Jimmy Fayala was hysterical. It was a
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: great night. We'll wrap it up in a moment. Don't
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: forget Buck and Clay coming up at noon today. Then
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: you got the most listened to radio show in America.
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: You got Sean Hannity at three o'clock, Jesse Kelly at six,
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: and then as I said, nine to midnight every night.
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: Now it's Jimmy Fayla on seven to ten wor seven
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: ten rs. Mark stillmon, well, this is just breaking moments ago.
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: Eric Adams will endorse Andrew Cmo for mayor. Now, remember
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: it was Eric Adams who not long ago, just a
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: few weeks ago, was called Cuomo a snake and a liar.
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: But who hasn't who hasn't called him that? But Eric Adams,
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: once bitter rival, will indorse Cuomo. That'll make some sort
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: of speech later to day doing it. He'll call on
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: the black and brown community, he says, to come together.
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: You know, after the debate last night, Cuomo had a
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: good night. It was a good debate last night. He
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: suddenly he's been a terrible debater. He hasn't been good
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: in these debates. Suddenly he had energy and he was
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: just yelling and screaming. It was good, I mean in
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: a good way.
- 1:01:21Speaker 6: You have never had a job, you've never accomplished anything.
- 1:01:26Speaker 6: There's no reason to believe you have any merit or qualification.
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: Yes, so for the first time, Clomo was great in
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: the debate. He had fire, he had energy. Then he
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: left the debate, went to Madison Square Garden to sit
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: with Eric Adams, apparently to finalize the deal. Adams moments
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: ago saying he will endorse Andrew Cuomo. So we'll see,
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: we'll see how this changes things now. Of course Eric
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: Adams did not have a lot of votes himself, but
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: every little bit helps. We'll see, we're out of time.
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: I'll be back tomorrow ten to noon. Here every weekday
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: ten o'clock till noon, or if you want to listen
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: to any other time. You could listen anytime to the show, anytime,
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: day or night. Just get the podcast if that's easier.
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: I'll see you tomorrow ten right here on seven ten
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: woor
