- 0:00Speaker 1: Three things you need to Happy Friday friends, just past
- 0:04Speaker 1: six o'clock. Thank you for starting your day with us.
- 0:06Speaker 1: Ricky Sanchez has those three things one directions.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Nile Horn is teasing new music. He posted a video
- 0:11Speaker 2: to his Instagram account letting his fans know that he's
- 0:14Speaker 2: in the studio working. No specific release date has been shared,
- 0:18Speaker 2: but he did say he's working as quickly as he
- 0:20Speaker 2: can to get new music out there to his fans.
- 0:22Speaker 2: He just ended like the global part of his last
- 0:26Speaker 2: tour in October, so we got to give the guy
- 0:29Speaker 2: some time, you know, to you know, get his life
- 0:32Speaker 2: in order. Also, there was the unfortunate passing of his bandmate,
- 0:35Speaker 2: so give him some time. But he's coming out with
- 0:38Speaker 2: new music. Jenna bush Hager announced first ever Read with
- 0:43Speaker 2: Jenna Book Festival and it's happening in Nashville. So the
- 0:46Speaker 2: two day festival is going to take place Friday May
- 0:48Speaker 2: thirtieth and Saturday May thirty first at the w Nashville.
- 0:51Speaker 2: You can expect conversations with authors, book book club discussions,
- 0:56Speaker 2: book signings, meet and greets, all sorts of fun stuff
- 0:58Speaker 2: including her having recording a live recording in front of
- 1:03Speaker 2: you and live performers like Blessing Offer. Tickets are on
- 1:07Speaker 2: sale right now on Today's website, along with a mock
- 1:10Speaker 2: up schedules, so you can kind of have an idea
- 1:13Speaker 2: of what to expect from the festival. And McDonald's introduced
- 1:17Speaker 2: its first new permanent menu item in four years. It's
- 1:20Speaker 2: the mccrispy strips, which are essentially the same thing as
- 1:25Speaker 2: the chicken tenders that they had prior to the pandemic.
- 1:28Speaker 2: They had to get rid of it in twenty twenty
- 1:30Speaker 2: because they were kind of simplifying their menu and making
- 1:32Speaker 2: it easier because there was a lot going on, obviously,
- 1:35Speaker 2: but McDonald's realized that they were falling behind as many
- 1:38Speaker 2: fast food chains had more chicken options. Even Chaco Bell
- 1:41Speaker 2: added their own version of like chicken nuggets to their menu,
- 1:44Speaker 2: and they were like, we gotta figure this out. It's
- 1:45Speaker 2: time to put them back on. So starting May fifth,
- 1:48Speaker 2: you can get mccrispy strips at McDonald's. Okay, I'm Ricky
- 1:51Speaker 2: Sanchez and those are the three things you need to know.
- 1:53Speaker 3: Thank you for that, Ricky.
- 1:54Speaker 4: And Happy Friday.
- 1:55Speaker 2: It's good Hay Friday.
- 1:57Speaker 1: We're getting back into the music with Lady Gaga. Your
- 2:00Speaker 1: last chance to win those tickets to see Nightly.
- 2:03Speaker 3: At the Rieman.
- 2:03Speaker 1: We've had them all week for the first caller of
- 2:05Speaker 1: the day. They are coming in ten minutes on the rim.
- 2:07Speaker 3: Ricky, Zach and Mano.
- 2:09Speaker 2: In the morning, Jeremy and Clarksville. Good morning, it's one
- 2:12Speaker 2: of seven five the river. How you doing this morning?
- 2:14Speaker 2: It's Friday. I'm sure you're excited about that.
- 2:17Speaker 5: Absolutely, it's Friday. What's wrong?
- 2:19Speaker 4: I really go wrong?
- 2:21Speaker 2: Because then things go wrong.
- 2:23Speaker 4: If you have what around you, please knock on it.
- 2:26Speaker 5: No, I'm not worried.
- 2:28Speaker 3: All right, what are you doing this weekend?
- 2:30Speaker 5: Well, it's my wife's birthday. She's forty two and probably
- 2:34Speaker 5: get in a little bit.
- 2:35Speaker 4: Effishent What are you going to get her for a birthday?
- 2:39Speaker 5: I can't tell she might be listening.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Oh, smart man.
- 2:42Speaker 4: That means he doesn't have a present yet. He's gonna
- 2:45Speaker 4: catch her.
- 2:46Speaker 3: I'm gonna get her a trout, Jeremy.
- 2:49Speaker 2: I think that's a smart move. You don't want to
- 2:51Speaker 2: ruin the surprise. Make sure you tell her that we
- 2:53Speaker 2: say happy birthday. We love celebrating birthdays here. Perfect. You
- 2:57Speaker 2: are the first caller of the day, Jeremy. So that
- 3:00Speaker 2: means Oh no, I'm excited that you're excited. But not
- 3:04Speaker 2: only do you get to just chat with us, you
- 3:06Speaker 2: actually get a prize. You get to see Nightly at
- 3:09Speaker 2: the Ryman on May thirtieth. It's gonna be a great show.
- 3:11Speaker 5: Oh man, Thank you guys so much.
- 3:13Speaker 1: You're welcome, buddy, Thank you for waking up and calling
- 3:16Speaker 1: us this morning.
- 3:17Speaker 3: It's gonna be fun.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Did you say a minute ago that you're going fishing
- 3:20Speaker 1: this weekend as well?
- 3:21Speaker 3: Or did I hear that wrong?
- 3:22Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 3:22Speaker 5: Hey, anytime mom mouth work, I go fishing like it.
- 3:26Speaker 3: Did your wife go with you for her birthday weekend
- 3:28Speaker 3: or no? Is that not her thing?
- 3:29Speaker 5: No, she's not an outdoors person. But I take my
- 3:32Speaker 5: oldest son, he's eighteen. We got together.
- 3:34Speaker 6: That is her birthday present, the husband and child out
- 3:37Speaker 6: of the house.
- 3:38Speaker 4: This sounds like a dream come true.
- 3:40Speaker 2: No, yeah, Jeremy, what's the biggest fish you've ever caught?
- 3:45Speaker 7: Oh?
- 3:45Speaker 5: Well, my felling he taught the biggest, probably, but it
- 3:49Speaker 5: was an alligator guard. It was about four feet long.
- 3:52Speaker 2: That's all crazy, dude, that's the size of me essentially.
- 3:55Speaker 4: Was it here in Tennessee?
- 3:57Speaker 5: Yeah, we caught that in the Cumberland river here in Clark.
- 4:00Speaker 3: Oh no, sir, crazy.
- 4:04Speaker 1: If you have a picture or something, send it into
- 4:06Speaker 1: we want to see that.
- 4:08Speaker 3: That's not I can't even comprehend.
- 4:10Speaker 2: I can't even literally think about it.
- 4:11Speaker 3: I'm just picture you catching Ricky in the cumberling.
- 4:15Speaker 2: I'm only four eleven, so I'm not that much bigger
- 4:17Speaker 2: than that fish.
- 4:18Speaker 3: Jeremy, hang on the line for sex and we can
- 4:20Speaker 3: get your information. Man, But have a great weekend.
- 4:22Speaker 5: Hey, thank you so much as well.
- 4:24Speaker 6: I am never swimming in like water ever again unless some.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Reactions here from every do you guys. Have you guys
- 4:31Speaker 2: ever fished?
- 4:32Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 4:32Speaker 3: Okay, I want to try to reel you in and.
- 4:37Speaker 2: You're catching me here. To make Nashville traffic just a
- 4:41Speaker 2: little less stressful, Ricky, Zach and Manno. In the mornings,
- 4:45Speaker 2: it's Friday. Every Friday, Zach puts together a very comprehensive
- 4:49Speaker 2: list of all the things happening in Nashville that you
- 4:52Speaker 2: can get into.
- 4:52Speaker 6: He's the keeper of the calendar. The keeper of the calendar.
- 4:55Speaker 6: What a mighty title that I have here. Okay, so
- 4:58Speaker 6: let's get started. The first one is called SIPs for Species,
- 5:01Speaker 6: and it's at the Nashville zoo. It is actually happening
- 5:04Speaker 6: tonight from six thirty to nine thirty. It's adults only.
- 5:07Speaker 6: It's an evening where you go to the zoo and
- 5:10Speaker 6: you have different animal encounters. There's live music, and there's
- 5:13Speaker 6: samples from forty different drink vendamin.
- 5:15Speaker 4: Doesn't that sound fun?
- 5:16Speaker 2: Oh?
- 5:17Speaker 3: Does?
- 5:17Speaker 2: Absolutely?
- 5:18Speaker 4: Leave your kids at.
- 5:18Speaker 6: Home, Go have a couple of cocktails and pet a camel.
- 5:22Speaker 3: I'm going to the zoo kids. Bye?
- 5:24Speaker 2: Wait do you actually get to pet the animals?
- 5:26Speaker 4: I don't know, just as zoo encounters.
- 5:28Speaker 2: Okay, okay, you said pet a camel and I was
- 5:30Speaker 2: gonna get real hued.
- 5:31Speaker 4: I feel like after a couple of cocktails, you might
- 5:33Speaker 4: try without the cocktails. That's facts.
- 5:38Speaker 6: Also tomorrow is Bourbon and Bubbles. It's happening at the
- 5:42Speaker 6: Steeplechase grand Stands and it's from four to eight and
- 5:45Speaker 6: so there's a bunch of different drinks. But you can
- 5:47Speaker 6: also like dress up, like in your best steeple chase attire.
- 5:51Speaker 6: So if you want to go and act like you're
- 5:52Speaker 6: hoity toity and better than everybody else, that's where you go.
- 5:57Speaker 6: And if you see a bunch of people downtown at
- 6:00Speaker 6: send Amphitheater. It's because Widespread Panic is doing like a
- 6:03Speaker 6: three night event there. It's tonight, Tomorrow night, and Sunday.
- 6:06Speaker 2: They've been camping out right.
- 6:08Speaker 4: Yeah, there's literally people camping out waiting for this.
- 6:11Speaker 2: I'm confused on who they. I don't know who Widespread Panic.
- 6:14Speaker 1: Is though, kind of like a jam banday AJ's into
- 6:18Speaker 1: jam and he's not a fan, he's not going.
- 6:20Speaker 2: I've never heard of them before. But yeah, I think
- 6:22Speaker 2: it's really cool that people are so excited about it
- 6:24Speaker 2: that they're camping out.
- 6:25Speaker 4: They're pumped.
- 6:25Speaker 6: My mom sent me a picture yesterday of them already
- 6:28Speaker 6: downtown camping out.
- 6:29Speaker 3: Jam Ban fans would camp anywhere any time, for any reason.
- 6:32Speaker 2: They solid points.
- 6:34Speaker 4: That's facts.
- 6:35Speaker 6: Also tomorrow, this is really cool. There's a walk happening
- 6:38Speaker 6: to help in pankcreatic cancer. So it's called the pan
- 6:41Speaker 6: Can Purple Stride, and it's happening at the Nashville Fairgrounds.
- 6:45Speaker 6: It is tomorrow morning, and it's just a big ultimate
- 6:48Speaker 6: walk to help in pink creatic cancer. It's a big fundraiser.
- 6:51Speaker 6: They're already at one hundred and seven percent of their goal,
- 6:53Speaker 6: which is really coolwesome. But you can still go you
- 6:57Speaker 6: can still raise money and donate to the cause, and
- 6:59Speaker 6: you can walk, which is really fun. And then lastly,
- 7:03Speaker 6: the Music City Food and Wine Festival happen. It's happening
- 7:07Speaker 6: all week and long at Centennial Parks. Our friends at
- 7:09Speaker 6: the Nashville scene are actually throwing it, and so they
- 7:12Speaker 6: have a bunch of different like competitions, they have celebrity chefs,
- 7:15Speaker 6: they have big gay brunches tomorrow. Like, there's so many
- 7:18Speaker 6: different events that are happening all week and long, and
- 7:20Speaker 6: it's all part of the Music City Food and Wine Festival.
- 7:22Speaker 6: But the main event is at Centennial Park where they
- 7:25Speaker 6: set up. They have a bunch of different tents. You
- 7:27Speaker 6: can buy tickets and go taste different food, see different chefs. Like,
- 7:31Speaker 6: it's just such a cool event.
- 7:32Speaker 2: We did a bartending not a class, but more like
- 7:35Speaker 2: a competition competition for us to kind of tell everybody
- 7:39Speaker 2: that this is happening. So if you want to watch that,
- 7:41Speaker 2: that's at one O seven five the River on our
- 7:43Speaker 2: Instagram account. You can watch us running around like lunatics
- 7:46Speaker 2: and trying to make drinks that we've never made.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Look, let's leave the tea's and say we're not going
- 7:49Speaker 1: to tell you who won. Oh no, no, no, but I
- 7:51Speaker 1: will tell you the Ricky lost.
- 7:52Speaker 4: I did.
- 7:54Speaker 2: I did lose, But I think that was all just
- 7:56Speaker 2: because you guys colluded against me. I was a little
- 7:59Speaker 2: bit that was actually on time. That time, you guys
- 8:01Speaker 2: got the real earth.
- 8:02Speaker 4: I got a conspiracy a judge.
- 8:06Speaker 2: I think you guys just colluded against me.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Well recount, Sorry about it, Zach. Thank you for that, buddy.
- 8:12Speaker 1: We always appreciate you. Rundown on Fridays, Thank you so much.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Hopefully the weather cooperates this weekend. I know there's supposed
- 8:17Speaker 1: that's to rain in there, but hopefully all the outdoor
- 8:19Speaker 1: activities can proceed as planned. Three things you need to know,
- 8:23Speaker 1: all right, just past seven o'clock, Happy Friday, Ricky Sanchez
- 8:26Speaker 1: has those three things.
- 8:27Speaker 2: Just a heads up. Satan Jude's Rock and Roll Marathon
- 8:30Speaker 2: is happening downtown this weekend. That means basically avoid downtown
- 8:35Speaker 2: all day tomorrow because there's just gonna be a lot
- 8:38Speaker 2: of streets that are closed, a lot of places to
- 8:41Speaker 2: ensure that runners have a safe experience. So just know
- 8:44Speaker 2: that if you need to be downtown at any point,
- 8:46Speaker 2: it's going to be a little more difficult The whole
- 8:49Speaker 2: experience kicks off at six twenty five a m. Tomorrow morning,
- 8:53Speaker 2: so it's going to be all morning into the afternoon.
- 8:56Speaker 2: Just keep that in mind. Obviously, we're very excited for
- 8:59Speaker 2: them because it's all for a good cause. We love
- 9:01Speaker 2: seeing the marathon runners actually accomplish their goals. We have
- 9:04Speaker 2: a fret and doing the Half Our Friend Marathon for
- 9:07Speaker 2: the first time, So yeah, go get them, have a
- 9:10Speaker 2: great time. Just don't drive downtown. SNL has announced that
- 9:14Speaker 2: their last three shows are set for the season, their
- 9:17Speaker 2: fiftieth season, and there are some rumors that a favorite
- 9:21Speaker 2: cast member may be leaving. So May third is Abbot
- 9:24Speaker 2: Elementary Star Quinta Brunson and Benson Boone. May tenth is
- 9:29Speaker 2: Walton Goggins from White Lotus and the band Arcade Fire.
- 9:33Speaker 2: May seventeenth is the season finale with Scarlett Johansson and
- 9:37Speaker 2: Bad Bunny My Bennathough. Rumors have gotten really intense that
- 9:42Speaker 2: Colin Jost might leave, this might be his last season.
- 9:45Speaker 2: Kevin just looked at me, like, what I hadn't heard that?
- 9:48Speaker 2: I hadn't either until today. But apparently these have been
- 9:50Speaker 2: like rumors that have been kind of circulating and they're
- 9:52Speaker 2: intensifying obviously with his wife, Scarlet Johansson being the host
- 9:57Speaker 2: on the season finale makes her a really good send off.
- 10:00Speaker 2: You know, he's been around for twelve seasons. Maybe it
- 10:03Speaker 2: we'll see.
- 10:04Speaker 3: He's a big chance.
- 10:05Speaker 2: That would be a huge change, So we'll see what happens. Obviously,
- 10:08Speaker 2: I will keep you posted, but right now they're just
- 10:12Speaker 2: rumors and moms and dads out there. If you've been
- 10:14Speaker 2: bummed out that you haven't had a chance to party
- 10:17Speaker 2: since having kids, don't worry because the new trend is
- 10:20Speaker 2: baby raves. Kevin, there should be some audio on do
- 10:28Speaker 2: of the music that you can expect at baby raves.
- 10:31Speaker 2: Uh So it's getting big right now in New York City,
- 10:33Speaker 2: so the idea is probably going to start shifting across
- 10:36Speaker 2: the country. Uh I think edia music with a kid.
- 10:39Speaker 8: Well, here we go up and down, up and down,
- 10:53Speaker 8: up and down.
- 10:54Speaker 2: It's a bop.
- 10:55Speaker 3: Okay, I'm gonna have a sea. You're just listening to that,
- 10:57Speaker 3: I remember.
- 10:59Speaker 2: So the idea you hear is like high energy sound
- 11:02Speaker 2: levels that are safe for children though, and there's gonna
- 11:05Speaker 2: be lighting, but not anything that's super overwhelming. At these
- 11:08Speaker 2: baby raves. There's face painting. Party favors like juice boxes.
- 11:12Speaker 2: Party favors have a totally different vibe when it comes
- 11:15Speaker 2: to baby raves obviously, like canned cocktails for their parents,
- 11:18Speaker 2: things like that. But it's the new craze that people
- 11:21Speaker 2: are starting to get into in New York and I'm
- 11:23Speaker 2: sure it's just gonna move across the country. Like I said,
- 11:25Speaker 2: I'm Rick Sanchez, and those are the three things you
- 11:27Speaker 2: need to know.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Honestly, I just want to hear it one more.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Week, Zach and Man in the morning, the last one
- 11:44Speaker 2: of the week. It's Zach spax On one O seven
- 11:46Speaker 2: five of the River.
- 11:47Speaker 4: The last one, but the best one.
- 11:49Speaker 6: I'll turn up your radio because this is absolutely insane.
- 11:52Speaker 4: It blew my mind.
- 11:53Speaker 3: Here we go.
- 11:54Speaker 6: Whenever people get a kidney transplant, did you guys know
- 11:56Speaker 6: that they don't take out the old kidneys.
- 11:58Speaker 4: They just push them to the side and put them to.
- 12:00Speaker 2: One in what what happens to the old one?
- 12:02Speaker 6: They just sit there and they like slowly shrink over time,
- 12:05Speaker 6: but they just sit there inside the body.
- 12:07Speaker 3: I did not know that.
- 12:08Speaker 4: Yeah, it's really wild.
- 12:09Speaker 6: Apparently they don't take them out because it can cause
- 12:11Speaker 6: more like trauma during the surgery and a longer recovery.
- 12:15Speaker 3: How big is a kidney? I'm googling you around.
- 12:17Speaker 2: I'm really I'm like, all I keep picturing are too
- 12:19Speaker 2: many kidneys in my body and there's not enough room.
- 12:23Speaker 4: I feel like it would make me look pregnant with
- 12:25Speaker 4: extra kidneys.
- 12:26Speaker 1: It says a kidney is approximately the size of a fist.
- 12:29Speaker 4: Oh that's big.
- 12:30Speaker 2: Yeah, there's your.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Fact of the day, Ricky, Zach and Menno.
- 12:37Speaker 2: In the morning, Mother's Day is creeping up on us fast,
- 12:40Speaker 2: and there's a lot of talk about, you know, what
- 12:42Speaker 2: to get mom for Mother's Day, what they really want.
- 12:44Speaker 2: There's a woman on TikTok who says that she has
- 12:46Speaker 2: a full proof guide to Mother's Day gifts.
- 12:49Speaker 4: Okay, so I'm gonna tell you what she said.
- 12:51Speaker 2: I want moms out there, if you're a mom, I
- 12:53Speaker 2: want you to call in and tell us if this
- 12:54Speaker 2: is correct.
- 12:55Speaker 3: So you're gonna give us a list right here? Okay, good,
- 12:57Speaker 3: real quick.
- 12:57Speaker 2: I'm gonna get let you know what she said. She said,
- 12:59Speaker 2: Mom's you to plan ahead, so that means, you know,
- 13:02Speaker 2: scheduling dinner for Mother's Day or brunch for Mother's Day.
- 13:06Speaker 2: She said, personalized gifts specifically for your mom. So like
- 13:11Speaker 2: things that say your mom's name on them, or something
- 13:14Speaker 2: that feels very you know, intimate between the two of you.
- 13:16Speaker 2: And she says to pay attention to what she actually likes. Well,
- 13:20Speaker 2: should be a no brainer, but it gets real rough
- 13:23Speaker 2: out there. She said, moms do not want mama gifts. Okay,
- 13:28Speaker 2: so you know, like the necklaces or the shirts to
- 13:29Speaker 2: say Mama interesting, moms don't want it. She said, anything
- 13:33Speaker 2: cleaning related, don't do it.
- 13:36Speaker 4: So rude walking with a bottle of windows.
- 13:40Speaker 2: And she also said, moms don't want anything that comes
- 13:44Speaker 2: up when you search Mother's Day gifts in Amazon. Okay,
- 13:48Speaker 2: all right, I think they're safe bets. But I'm not
- 13:51Speaker 2: a mom. So if you're a mom, call us right now.
- 13:53Speaker 2: Is she right? Is this what you do and do
- 13:55Speaker 2: not want for Mother's Day? Maybe you can give us
- 13:57Speaker 2: an idea of what moms really want. I'm seven three
- 14:00Speaker 2: seven nine seven.
- 14:02Speaker 1: How accurate is that list? Is that track with what
- 14:05Speaker 1: you want for Mother's Day?
- 14:06Speaker 3: Let us know, mom.
- 14:07Speaker 1: She's Selena Gomez on the River ky Zach and Menno
- 14:12Speaker 1: in the morning.
- 14:12Speaker 2: So a woman on TikTok who says that she has
- 14:14Speaker 2: a fool proof guide to Mother's Day Gifts. It's one
- 14:17Speaker 2: of seven Five of the River. I ran through some
- 14:19Speaker 2: of the ideas before Emma and Murphysborough. Do you think
- 14:24Speaker 2: that this woman is on point with the things that
- 14:26Speaker 2: she said? She said, plan ahead for Mother's Day, get
- 14:29Speaker 2: her personalized gifts specifically for your mom, pay attention to
- 14:32Speaker 2: what she actually likes. Don't get her mama gifts, anything
- 14:36Speaker 2: that just says.
- 14:36Speaker 3: Mama, or cleaning supplies, no.
- 14:38Speaker 2: Cleaning supplies, and nothing that comes up when you search
- 14:41Speaker 2: Mother's Day gifts into Amazon.
- 14:43Speaker 9: I think that she pretty much hit it on the now.
- 14:46Speaker 2: Okay, every now and then.
- 14:47Speaker 9: I like something that says mama, like a necklace.
- 14:50Speaker 10: But I don't like for everything to symbolize yes, sign
- 14:53Speaker 10: my mom and that's all I do.
- 14:55Speaker 3: Right, that's your whole identity. I understand that, Emma.
- 14:58Speaker 2: What's like your dream Mother's Day? A gift? What do
- 15:00Speaker 2: you want for Mother's Day?
- 15:02Speaker 10: Maybe just like a day plan even like with my kid,
- 15:06Speaker 10: like just playing the day of like we go.
- 15:08Speaker 9: To the zoo, didn't we go to eat, didn't we
- 15:10Speaker 9: go do did? Yeah?
- 15:12Speaker 1: Just take all the guesswork out of it and take
- 15:13Speaker 1: that off your plate completely. Yes, And I mean I'm
- 15:16Speaker 1: a dad, so I can relate on Father's Day and
- 15:19Speaker 1: you feel bad saying, but sometimes a day to yourself
- 15:22Speaker 1: is not a bad thing either.
- 15:24Speaker 9: Yeah, that's also true.
- 15:25Speaker 10: Like just like a day to you know, maybe go
- 15:28Speaker 10: do all the things nails hairs can like.
- 15:31Speaker 2: I think that makes sense, Emma, thank you so much
- 15:33Speaker 2: for your input. We appreciate you.
- 15:35Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Have a great day and happy early Mother's Day. Let's
- 15:39Speaker 1: talk to Brandy a Mount Juliet right now. What would
- 15:41Speaker 1: you like for your perfect Mother's Day?
- 15:43Speaker 3: Brandy, I personally.
- 15:44Speaker 9: Am not a gift person because I already get what
- 15:48Speaker 9: I pretty much, I'll get myself what I want I
- 15:51Speaker 9: want on Mother's Day, and what I get every Mother's
- 15:53Speaker 9: Day is I get breakfast day for me by my
- 15:56Speaker 9: kids and my husband, and then I get no argument,
- 16:01Speaker 9: no yelling, no screaming, just a very calm, peaceful day
- 16:04Speaker 9: for mom and notes from my family.
- 16:08Speaker 3: I am.
- 16:09Speaker 2: I think that's sweet. And that's exactly what you want, Brandy.
- 16:12Speaker 9: That's exactly what I want. I don't want a present,
- 16:14Speaker 9: I don't want flowers, I don't want anything else those mom,
- 16:18Speaker 9: I just want it ought to be more emotional for me.
- 16:21Speaker 7: I like, you know, a gift.
- 16:23Speaker 2: I'm not shocked necessarily, but I think it's really nice
- 16:26Speaker 2: to hear a lot of these moms now saying like,
- 16:29Speaker 2: please stop getting me things that just say mom, like
- 16:31Speaker 2: every so often. Sure, but you know, we had Emma
- 16:34Speaker 2: just talking to us and she said it's basically not
- 16:37Speaker 2: the only identity that she had. She doesn't need everything
- 16:40Speaker 2: to say mom.
- 16:41Speaker 1: And I mean I think in general, like an experience
- 16:44Speaker 1: is always better than a gift.
- 16:46Speaker 9: Yeah, I mean, I just want to be with my
- 16:48Speaker 9: like a day that to be with my kids and
- 16:50Speaker 9: my husband, you know, and just peace. Yeah.
- 16:53Speaker 3: Good call, Brandy, Thank you for calling it again. Happy
- 16:56Speaker 3: early Mother's Day.
- 16:57Speaker 9: Thank you have a good day.
- 16:59Speaker 8: By love.
- 17:00Speaker 1: We have a bunch of bunch of moms calling here.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Six one, five, seven, three seven, nine, one oh seven.
- 17:03Speaker 1: If you have something different to add to the conversation,
- 17:05Speaker 1: we'd love to hear it.
- 17:06Speaker 2: And this is really helpful for anybody who's looking for
- 17:08Speaker 2: something to get for Mother's Day. Now you're hearing straight
- 17:11Speaker 2: from mothers. No guests work involved here.
- 17:13Speaker 11: One O seven five The River, Heikey, Zach and Mano
- 17:16Speaker 11: in the morning, Jennifer.
- 17:18Speaker 1: In Pleasant View. Welcome to one oh seven five the River.
- 17:20Speaker 1: We're talking about Mother's Day. Ricky ran through a list
- 17:24Speaker 1: a woman on TikTok seatings two have nailed.
- 17:27Speaker 2: This fullproof guide is what she was calling it. Moms
- 17:30Speaker 2: keep agreeing. What do you think, Jennifer?
- 17:32Speaker 7: I agree. I think what she's trying to say with this, Liz,
- 17:35Speaker 7: is that moms just want to know that they're not
- 17:37Speaker 7: an afterthought. Yes, you do gifts that say best mom
- 17:42Speaker 7: in the world, things like that, it just seems like
- 17:44Speaker 7: it was kind of rushed and thrown together.
- 17:46Speaker 4: That means they went to TJ Max, right, But.
- 17:49Speaker 7: I think moms just want to know that thoughts were
- 17:51Speaker 7: put into their existence and the appreciation and things like
- 17:55Speaker 7: that for what they.
- 17:57Speaker 2: Say is not just that's so true, and it makes me.
- 18:00Speaker 2: It's so sad, Jennifer, because I feel like all moms
- 18:02Speaker 2: do so much for their kids and for their families.
- 18:05Speaker 7: And they do and they don't do it for the rewards.
- 18:07Speaker 7: They do it for their internal reward of showing love.
- 18:11Speaker 7: Maybe that's their love language. But just knowing that it's
- 18:14Speaker 7: appreciated and that their needs are thought about on that
- 18:18Speaker 7: day and not just a random gift, is really.
- 18:22Speaker 1: Good Jennifer, this is all very well said. We appreciate
- 18:24Speaker 1: you calling and sharing your insight.
- 18:26Speaker 2: Thank you have a great day.
- 18:28Speaker 3: Zach, you got a problem with TJ Max.
- 18:31Speaker 6: No, I'm just saying like they'd stopped last minute and
- 18:33Speaker 6: got the stuff from TJ Max because they have all
- 18:35Speaker 6: of that, like token.
- 18:37Speaker 3: Are you not a Max? Andista?
- 18:39Speaker 2: I like my goodness. Back to the moms, Nicole and Laverne,
- 18:45Speaker 2: tell us what your perfect Mother's Day gift is.
- 18:49Speaker 10: I get letters from each one of my kids every year,
- 18:52Speaker 10: and they're very like sentimental, very specific, saying thank you
- 18:58Speaker 10: for everything that has been given to them and done
- 19:01Speaker 10: for them, or they wouldn't be where they're at now.
- 19:04Speaker 10: That's very But if there are handwritten letters from my.
- 19:07Speaker 12: Kids, that's a whole that's like a whole different scale.
- 19:10Speaker 12: The one from my son is funny, so when I
- 19:13Speaker 12: have my hard days, I just read it and get
- 19:15Speaker 12: a bit laughed at it because he'll, like he wrote, mom,
- 19:19Speaker 12: stands were made of money. I mean, you know on
- 19:26Speaker 12: your hard days that you look at that and you
- 19:28Speaker 12: read it and then he's as happy Mother's Day you
- 19:32Speaker 12: meaning have failed miserably with my sister, but at least
- 19:34Speaker 12: you got it spot on with me.
- 19:36Speaker 3: This kid's awesome. I love this kid, Nicole, thank you
- 19:40Speaker 3: for calling. And Mom stands for Maide of Magic.
- 19:44Speaker 2: Yes you thought of that right on the spot.
- 19:46Speaker 9: Huh.
- 19:47Speaker 4: Thank President.
- 19:48Speaker 3: It wasn't really that impressive, but thank you.
- 19:53Speaker 6: Hav a good day, and Dad stands for what Kevin,
- 19:57Speaker 6: don't ask dumb questions.
- 20:02Speaker 1: We're playing the Game of the Day for Pilgrimage Festival passes.
- 20:05Speaker 3: Next Ricky, Zach and Mano.
- 20:07Speaker 2: In the morning, there is the last day to play
- 20:11Speaker 2: Name that Tune Celebrity AI Edition for Kevin Mano's Game
- 20:14Speaker 2: of the Day presented by Genesis Diamonds. It's been an
- 20:17Speaker 2: interesting ride.
- 20:18Speaker 1: Yeah, we're trying a new game this week and I've
- 20:21Speaker 1: enjoyed it. As soon as we play this audio clue,
- 20:23Speaker 1: you call us and you identify the song. I think
- 20:25Speaker 1: this is what Mom really wants her mother's days Pilgrimage
- 20:27Speaker 1: Festival passes. She wants to go see John Mayer upstate
- 20:30Speaker 1: or up on stage.
- 20:32Speaker 2: Just want to see John mayrap, just be honest, So
- 20:34Speaker 2: call us right now. Well, actually, after we hear this tune.
- 20:38Speaker 3: Here we go. It's Will Smith, the real Will Smith.
- 20:41Speaker 1: We got him to do this for us, reciting lyrics
- 20:44Speaker 1: from a song that we've played here on the River
- 20:46Speaker 1: many times. If you can identify the song, that's when
- 20:48Speaker 1: you call six one five, seven, three, seven, nine one
- 20:50Speaker 1: oh seven and the passes of years.
- 20:52Speaker 3: Here we go.
- 20:53Speaker 11: I can't remember everything we said, but we said it all.
- 20:56Speaker 11: You told me that you wish I was somebody you
- 20:58Speaker 11: never met?
- 21:00Speaker 3: Six seven, three, seven nine one oh seven. What song was?
- 21:03Speaker 3: Will Smith doing a dramatic reading of right.
- 21:05Speaker 2: There, It actually kind of sounds like Litt Smith?
- 21:07Speaker 7: Is that one?
- 21:07Speaker 3: Did I agree?
- 21:08Speaker 1: If you know you're going to Pilgrimage Festival, we've got
- 21:11Speaker 1: weekend passes.
- 21:13Speaker 3: Right now, let's go oh some dogy okay?
- 21:15Speaker 10: One O seven five the River?
- 21:17Speaker 11: Heikey zach And in.
- 21:19Speaker 2: The morning seven five the River. We're playing Kevin Manow's
- 21:22Speaker 2: Game of the Day. It's an AI generated name that tune.
- 21:26Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, it's a new game. I like it.
- 21:29Speaker 1: I'd like to see this come back at some point.
- 21:31Speaker 1: Chrissy in PULASKI, how you doing.
- 21:34Speaker 9: I'm doing great? Are you good?
- 21:36Speaker 8: Uh?
- 21:36Speaker 3: Did you think that sounded like Will Smith?
- 21:39Speaker 7: It's not a Will Smith's fault, but it did sound
- 21:41Speaker 7: like a boy.
- 21:41Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, yes, Do you think you know what song
- 21:44Speaker 2: it was? For these Pilgrimage Festival tickets?
- 21:46Speaker 1: Don't say yeah, We're gonna play the clue one more time,
- 21:48Speaker 1: but you think.
- 21:48Speaker 2: You got it? Okay, yeah, I think it do All right,
- 21:50Speaker 2: let's play it.
- 21:51Speaker 3: One more time.
- 21:51Speaker 11: I can't remember everything we said, but we said it all.
- 21:54Speaker 11: You told me that you wish I was somebody you
- 21:57Speaker 11: never met.
- 21:57Speaker 1: Chrissy passes for Pilgrimage Festival weekend passes.
- 22:02Speaker 3: Name that tune.
- 22:04Speaker 7: Oh man, I hope I win this. I want to
- 22:06Speaker 7: go to this so back Morgan Wallen last night.
- 22:11Speaker 1: I shot going We're not kidding John may Or, kings On, Leon,
- 22:17Speaker 1: a whole bunch more. They're all going to be in
- 22:19Speaker 1: Franklin in September, and you'll be there with him.
- 22:22Speaker 7: I can't believe it.
- 22:22Speaker 2: Congratulations, Chrissy. I also appreciate you. You it sounded like
- 22:26Speaker 2: you were about to say a curse word, and you
- 22:28Speaker 2: censored yourself, So I appreciate that.
- 22:30Speaker 7: I don't curse, but I you know, I was excited.
- 22:33Speaker 1: If there's ever a time to curse, this is it.
- 22:35Speaker 1: When you win the Pilgrim's Festival passes. Hang on the
- 22:38Speaker 1: line for a second. But congratulations, okay, thank you.
- 22:41Speaker 2: Three things you need?
- 22:44Speaker 1: Just after eight o'clock on this Friday morning, Ricky's got
- 22:46Speaker 1: those three things.
- 22:48Speaker 2: The National Titans have picked Camboard with their number one
- 22:51Speaker 2: overall draft pick. Last night. I shared yesterday that they
- 22:54Speaker 2: were were not going to be trading their golden ticket
- 22:56Speaker 2: of the number one overall draft pick. But you just
- 22:59Speaker 2: never know what can happen in between, you know, me
- 23:01Speaker 2: talking about it on the show and at night. But
- 23:02Speaker 2: it turns out that they stuck with that decision. Kim
- 23:05Speaker 2: Warden's quarterback out of Miami. Titans General manager Mike Burgonzi
- 23:09Speaker 2: believes that Cam has the ability to be the franchise quarterback.
- 23:12Speaker 2: So this is really exciting stuff for the Titans. Were
- 23:15Speaker 2: pumped to see what he brings to the team this season.
- 23:19Speaker 2: Addison Ray is changing her name. She has announced that
- 23:22Speaker 2: this new era comes with a new name. She's now
- 23:26Speaker 2: only going by Addison. She's doing like a Madonna vibe here.
- 23:30Speaker 2: Her debut album is taking to that same vibe. It's
- 23:32Speaker 2: been announced to be titled Addison. It's coming out June sixth,
- 23:36Speaker 2: so she's no longer Addison Ray. And Southwest Airlines is
- 23:39Speaker 2: planning to cut back on flights. This is a bummer,
- 23:42Speaker 2: but the carrier says fewer people are booking flights within
- 23:44Speaker 2: the US, and Southwest expects to earn less money per ticket,
- 23:49Speaker 2: up to four percent less than last year. A lot
- 23:51Speaker 2: of people are cutting back on vacations and things like
- 23:53Speaker 2: that because everything's gotten so expensive. We learned this week
- 23:57Speaker 2: that a lot of people are not getting as much
- 23:58Speaker 2: money back on their tech extra turns as they're used to.
- 24:01Speaker 2: So there's less and less people actually going on vacations
- 24:04Speaker 2: this year. So they're going to put a pause on
- 24:06Speaker 2: the amount of flights that they typically do. And if
- 24:10Speaker 2: they're doing it, I means a lot of the other
- 24:11Speaker 2: airlines are going to start doing it. So anybody that
- 24:13Speaker 2: needs to travel for business, that's something to just keep
- 24:15Speaker 2: in mind and think about when you're planning. I'm Ricky Sanchez,
- 24:18Speaker 2: and those are the three things you need to know.
- 24:19Speaker 3: Ricky.
- 24:20Speaker 1: That's a great transition into the fact that we have
- 24:22Speaker 1: one thousand dollars right.
- 24:24Speaker 3: After Miles Smith. Everybody can use a little extra cash
- 24:27Speaker 3: right now.
- 24:28Speaker 2: We could and we can't win it.
- 24:29Speaker 3: That's true.
- 24:31Speaker 1: Maybe split over with those of you.
- 24:32Speaker 3: No, no, there's just for you, not for us.
- 24:37Speaker 1: We'll get to that keyword right after stargazing. Every time
- 24:40Speaker 1: we give a keyword, this is real money. Somebody is
- 24:42Speaker 1: winning the much.
- 24:45Speaker 2: Ricky Zach and Meno. This is something brand new that
- 24:47Speaker 2: we're doing on Ricky, Zach and Mano in the morning.
- 24:50Speaker 2: It's one O seven five the River. We plan every show,
- 24:53Speaker 2: all the topics that we're going to talk about, the
- 24:55Speaker 2: things that we think are relevant. It makes sense to
- 24:57Speaker 2: tell you about sometimes our ideas don't make it though. Yeah,
- 25:00Speaker 2: so I don't know what to call this just yet,
- 25:02Speaker 2: but each of us is going to get thirty seconds
- 25:05Speaker 2: to talk about a topic that we wanted to bring
- 25:07Speaker 2: to the show this week that just didn't make the.
- 25:08Speaker 4: I have an idea for the name.
- 25:10Speaker 6: Okay, not every idea is a good idea.
- 25:13Speaker 2: Ok yeah, Yeah, it's a little bit long, but each
- 25:17Speaker 2: of you, all three of us, are going to get
- 25:19Speaker 2: thirty seconds. Who wants to start?
- 25:20Speaker 3: I could start start.
- 25:22Speaker 2: Okay, you want to give the quick little thing that
- 25:23Speaker 2: you told everybody in the you can just hit the okay, lock,
- 25:27Speaker 2: all right, I'm starting now.
- 25:28Speaker 1: We've been doing a lot of spring cleaning in the
- 25:30Speaker 1: Manow household lately. We've been doing a lot of purging,
- 25:32Speaker 1: which feels good. We're paring down, we're getting rid of stuff.
- 25:34Speaker 1: But then it's on an article. Spring cleaning apparently also
- 25:37Speaker 1: includes digital.
- 25:38Speaker 3: Spring cleaning these days.
- 25:40Speaker 1: Okay, so like cleaning out your photo albums, updating your passwords,
- 25:44Speaker 1: going through your emails, and I cannot I have no interest.
- 25:47Speaker 4: I'd rather scrub toilets.
- 25:49Speaker 1: Than do any of that stuff. I cannot bundle that
- 25:51Speaker 1: into spring cleaning.
- 25:52Speaker 2: So you haven't cleaned anything week?
- 25:54Speaker 3: Yeah, no, nothing.
- 25:55Speaker 1: I'm terrible of how many photos do you have on
- 25:57Speaker 1: your own? Goodness, I'm out of my thirty seconds. That
- 25:59Speaker 1: was thirty seconds. Let me tell you.
- 26:01Speaker 2: We'll wait for this answer and then we'll go.
- 26:03Speaker 3: On to the next. Come up with this answer in
- 26:04Speaker 3: a second, because now, of course my phone's not working.
- 26:06Speaker 2: Whatever amounts he has, eighty five percent of them are
- 26:09Speaker 2: pictures of his children without a yeah, and probably duplicates
- 26:11Speaker 2: that he could delete. All right, Zaki, are you ready
- 26:13Speaker 2: to get thirty seconds to bring your topic to the table?
- 26:15Speaker 2: Are you ready to go starting now?
- 26:17Speaker 4: Okay?
- 26:17Speaker 6: So I saw this article that apparently in Japan people
- 26:20Speaker 6: are hiring old people to be their friends, so they
- 26:23Speaker 6: they're having a bad day, or they just want to
- 26:25Speaker 6: go to the mall.
- 26:26Speaker 4: They're hiring old people.
- 26:28Speaker 6: So I started thinking, who would you want to hire
- 26:30Speaker 6: to be your friend for the day, because I want
- 26:32Speaker 6: Jennifer Coolidge.
- 26:33Speaker 3: Oh that's a good choice.
- 26:34Speaker 2: Am I calling Jennifer Coolidge old? Or are you just
- 26:36Speaker 2: saying in general.
- 26:37Speaker 4: Justin general, who wants me your friend for the day.
- 26:39Speaker 2: I really have to think about that.
- 26:41Speaker 4: I want Jennifer Coolidge because she says she loves laying
- 26:43Speaker 4: in the bed all day. In same, that's a great choice.
- 26:46Speaker 2: All right, your thirty seconds is up. That was good.
- 26:48Speaker 2: That was good.
- 26:49Speaker 1: Can I jump in real quick and just say my
- 26:50Speaker 1: phone I found it. It says I have one hundred
- 26:52Speaker 1: and twenty nine, five hundred and eighty items under.
- 26:55Speaker 3: Photos heaven mane. So I am not about to.
- 26:57Speaker 2: Attack that, Okay, now it's mine to hearn. That is insane, keviny,
- 27:03Speaker 2: I'm gonna start it now. These are the top ten
- 27:06Speaker 2: ways that people use AI in twenty twenty five. Obviously,
- 27:09Speaker 2: this is a huge thing that everybody is using and
- 27:11Speaker 2: starting to use in their daily life. The number one
- 27:14Speaker 2: is going to blow your mind and make you a
- 27:15Speaker 2: little bit sad. So I'm gonna start with the third
- 27:17Speaker 2: most used ways is to find purpose, which is pretty sad.
- 27:21Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 27:22Speaker 2: Number two is organized life which okay. Number one though,
- 27:25Speaker 2: is therapy and companionship. Using AI for therapy and companionship
- 27:31Speaker 2: more than anything else in twenty twenty five.
- 27:33Speaker 1: Therapy is not crazy to me, Like, sometimes it's nicest
- 27:36Speaker 1: to have somebody, even if it's an artificially intelligent being
- 27:40Speaker 1: to listen to you, you know what I mean, just
- 27:42Speaker 1: to kind of get your thoughts out.
- 27:43Speaker 2: That's we have people though that do that.
- 27:45Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, we do therapist. There's professional.
- 27:49Speaker 1: Sending to something that will respond probably fills avoid for
- 27:52Speaker 1: some people.
- 27:53Speaker 2: Oh for sure. So that's just your reminder, you know,
- 27:55Speaker 2: to say hello to everybody and be kind to everyone.
- 27:57Speaker 2: You never know what's going on.
- 27:59Speaker 4: Yeah, and if you need something, ask ask reach out.
- 28:01Speaker 2: To a fris okay or us whoever you need to
- 28:04Speaker 2: reach out to you. But those are the three topics
- 28:06Speaker 2: that didn't make it this week, And now we just
- 28:08Speaker 2: got to tell you about him.
- 28:09Speaker 4: Yeah, I love it.
- 28:10Speaker 3: I like, we can need a name for this thing,
- 28:11Speaker 3: but I don't know what to call it. Okay, we're
- 28:13Speaker 3: gonna work on that. But here for being a part.
- 28:16Speaker 2: Of the River, Nicky Zach and anyone who's ever moved
- 28:20Speaker 2: in with their significant other know that it can be
- 28:23Speaker 2: a struggle, it can be new for you. This man's
- 28:27Speaker 2: demands for moving in with his significant other are absolutely ridiculous,
- 28:31Speaker 2: and it's today's daily double tap on one O seven
- 28:33Speaker 2: five the River.
- 28:33Speaker 3: But at least he keeps telling her that she looks
- 28:35Speaker 3: pretty today.
- 28:36Speaker 2: Well and how yeah, every man thinks they can get
- 28:38Speaker 2: a girl to do what they want.
- 28:40Speaker 4: It is all right.
- 28:41Speaker 3: So these are going to be things that I've seemed
- 28:43Speaker 3: that we need for us.
- 28:44Speaker 1: To live together.
- 28:46Speaker 2: You look so so beautiful today.
- 28:48Speaker 1: So first it's a mini basketballoue pamper, No more dirty
- 28:51Speaker 1: clothes on the ground. I can practice my shots, so
- 28:53Speaker 1: I can sign with an NBA team to take care
