- 0:00Speaker 1: Everyone. I'm gaving from the Poor just having a little
- 0:05Speaker 1: catch up we old Chris from Heavy and an update
- 0:08Speaker 1: on what's going on in Poor World.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Fantastic games.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Thanks for joining us today, brother, no worries man.
- 0:16Speaker 3: Looking through your socials, mate, there's a hell of a
- 0:18Speaker 3: lot going on in the poor world. Like you're back
- 0:21Speaker 3: live playing livelik as the nineteen eighties again, bro. So
- 0:24Speaker 3: we'll start close to home first up, and you've got
- 0:27Speaker 3: two gigs coming up next week.
- 0:29Speaker 2: What at most does a club house on Thursday?
- 0:31Speaker 1: Yeah, Kala on the night, Yeah, which is something different.
- 0:37Speaker 1: We haven't been up there or around that sort of
- 0:40Speaker 1: area and it was suggested, so we thought why not.
- 0:44Speaker 1: We only did our first home show last month on
- 0:49Speaker 1: the Gold Coast with the Tats, and then this one
- 0:52Speaker 1: next weekend by ourselves will probably be the last one
- 0:56Speaker 1: for the year. So yeah, so we're just sort of
- 1:00Speaker 1: basing everything out. Everyone's trying to fit everything in between
- 1:03Speaker 1: general living and everything else is going on in the world.
- 1:07Speaker 3: Yeah, just mentioned about a touring that you've got coming up,
- 1:12Speaker 3: but we'll get onto that a bit later.
- 1:13Speaker 1: Mate.
- 1:14Speaker 3: The Poor you Goes have been a full on during
- 1:16Speaker 3: band now for forty years.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Just about brave. So I know it's an old cliche,
- 1:20Speaker 2: but do you ever get sick of it? Liked it?
- 1:22Speaker 2: Have to have to grate on you eventually, would it? Oh?
- 1:25Speaker 1: Look, there's been times in that span where we've had
- 1:28Speaker 1: some bare chunks of time not doing anything and not touring,
- 1:32Speaker 1: but still staying sort of creative in a way. Um,
- 1:39Speaker 1: there are times, yeah, definitely where you go, fuck this,
- 1:42Speaker 1: what am I doing? But then the minute that you
- 1:47Speaker 1: don't do that for a few weeks, or you're not
- 1:50Speaker 1: in a rehearsal room or you're not in that frame
- 1:53Speaker 1: of mind, you're starting to freak out and want to
- 1:56Speaker 1: get back to it a little bit different from myself
- 2:01Speaker 1: because I am away a lot, as you know, of
- 2:03Speaker 1: tool managing stuff. I don't know whether that's a good
- 2:06Speaker 1: thing or a bad thing, or whether that makes me
- 2:09Speaker 1: want to be on the road more because that's what
- 2:12Speaker 1: I do. I've been home now for a few weeks
- 2:17Speaker 1: and I'm ready to go, right, you know, other than
- 2:21Speaker 1: the loved ones around you and your children and whatever else,
- 2:24Speaker 1: but man, I'm ready now.
- 2:29Speaker 2: I haven't got this schedule with the question, but it
- 2:30Speaker 2: just popped into my head.
- 2:31Speaker 3: Bro, Like for your own sake, stop skiing plugging your
- 2:35Speaker 3: gigs on videos in his fucking New South Wales jersey.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Hey listen, I'm going to end this fucking interview right
- 2:42Speaker 1: now because talking about state of origin is not a thing.
- 2:45Speaker 1: At the moment, we're a little bit bitter and sore
- 2:49Speaker 1: because you fuck has cheated the whole way and it's thrown.
- 2:52Speaker 1: So let's move on, all right.
- 2:54Speaker 2: I'll just try.
- 2:56Speaker 3: I deliberately didn't go to that gig because he invited
- 2:58Speaker 3: me in a blues jersey.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Yeah all right, Well, I mean, well, look what you've
- 3:02Speaker 1: got on now. I don't want to go there. Or
- 3:06Speaker 1: I can go upstairs and grabbing New South Wales been
- 3:08Speaker 1: there if you want. But all right, we'll put that
- 3:14Speaker 1: hatred aside for the interview.
- 3:16Speaker 3: And yeah, it seems like all the eighties and nineties
- 3:23Speaker 3: fans from last century you're still all of the roost.
- 3:25Speaker 3: You got yourselves raised tatoo, your baby animals, Ceperjesus, like.
- 3:29Speaker 2: You're all going strong.
- 3:30Speaker 3: Like do you think it's your old school approach to
- 3:33Speaker 3: life of music that keeps you going and keeps your
- 3:35Speaker 3: fans coming?
- 3:36Speaker 1: I think so there's that's definitely a part of it.
- 3:40Speaker 1: I guess the way that you've grown up and the
- 3:42Speaker 1: way that you've cut your teeth and the way you've
- 3:44Speaker 1: maintained that. I guess the industry has changed so much
- 3:50Speaker 1: in a lot of ways in a lot of different
- 3:52Speaker 1: areas over that time. Back and forth, Like, let's face it,
- 3:58Speaker 1: nineties there were no for as such. Really, you know,
- 4:01Speaker 1: festivals made a massive change in the club touring circuit
- 4:05Speaker 1: for a long time, especially in Australia as you know,
- 4:08Speaker 1: you know, the good old big day out and sound
- 4:10Speaker 1: waves and livids and things like. It got to a
- 4:14Speaker 1: point there where everyone would hold off until they got
- 4:18Speaker 1: on one of those bills and then they would create
- 4:21Speaker 1: a tour around it. And then I think that's what
- 4:25Speaker 1: hurt the scene of rock bands coming through. They weren't
- 4:30Speaker 1: out there slogging it out in the circuit, or the
- 4:33Speaker 1: pubs are every sort of weekend, you know, they were waiting,
- 4:35Speaker 1: or there was just a massive change of festivals exactly right.
- 4:40Speaker 1: I just think that era has a different edge and
- 4:43Speaker 1: hardness and toughness about it, where you know, maybe the
- 4:46Speaker 1: stuff from the last ten years hasn't.
- 4:48Speaker 2: Yeah, it's such a before me.
- 4:50Speaker 3: But next year is the fortieth anniversary of the Poor,
- 4:52Speaker 3: and I know you're not going to let that pass
- 4:54Speaker 3: without some kind of celebration.
- 4:56Speaker 1: No, well, he's been separate things. I mean, it's it's
- 5:02Speaker 1: I guess before we touch I mean, we will definitely
- 5:05Speaker 1: do something for every celebration, because when we get to
- 5:08Speaker 1: our age every mile stone, it's a winner, isn't it.
- 5:13Speaker 1: But let me we will sit down and approach next
- 5:16Speaker 1: year once we get through the remainder of this because,
- 5:21Speaker 1: as we'll no doubt touch on, we just had a
- 5:23Speaker 1: massive change within the band, and so I think the
- 5:28Speaker 1: idea of this year is to get through what we've
- 5:31Speaker 1: got start writing, which we did last night basically. Yeah,
- 5:36Speaker 1: so yeah, look, we'll do something in the old sort
- 5:39Speaker 1: of history of the band.
- 5:43Speaker 3: You just did touch on this, mad It's a perfect
- 5:44Speaker 3: segue because I was gonna ask you about this next.
- 5:46Speaker 3: But we should point out that the Poor have recently
- 5:48Speaker 3: welcomed a new member to the family.
- 5:50Speaker 2: So introduced us to the new bass player, and we.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Have we've just brought Stewie Williams, Stuart Williams into the fold,
- 5:59Speaker 1: who was a bass player that's a good old friend
- 6:03Speaker 1: of Skeeney himself and known to Maddie and everyone else
- 6:08Speaker 1: that are close to the band. Stewie was the bass
- 6:13Speaker 1: player in Lump, which was another project that Schenney and
- 6:16Speaker 1: I were involved in years ago. I played with Stewie
- 6:20Speaker 1: in Melbourne on the side again with Black Seeds. There's
- 6:23Speaker 1: a long history there with Stewie and for what we've
- 6:29Speaker 1: done so far, we've only done four shows or something.
- 6:33Speaker 1: The two shows actually and it feels really good. It
- 6:38Speaker 1: was a lot of work to get it to that point,
- 6:41Speaker 1: especially with him and I had the rhythm section. We
- 6:43Speaker 1: locked ourselves in the studio for a few weeks. But
- 6:47Speaker 1: he's saying that wasn't hard from a sense of his
- 6:50Speaker 1: level of ability. It's just I've had Maddy of the
- 6:53Speaker 1: rhythm section for so many years. It's just been you know,
- 6:57Speaker 1: it was hard to adapt.
- 7:00Speaker 3: It would have been tough saying goodbye to Matt, just
- 7:02Speaker 3: like he was one of those rare bass players. It
- 7:04Speaker 3: was actually a good guy and contributed to the band
- 7:06Speaker 3: as well.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Yeah, man, just an all round, absolute, fucking hands down
- 7:13Speaker 1: legend bass playing aside, just a great guy, a brother,
- 7:17Speaker 1: a family member, one of the founding members of the band.
- 7:21Speaker 1: So you know, for him to put his hand up
- 7:24Speaker 1: and say, look guys, I'm done in the sense of
- 7:29Speaker 1: touring and doing stuff. It was just we've all been there,
- 7:33Speaker 1: I guess, but for him to actually go, look, no,
- 7:35Speaker 1: look i am I'm done. We were like fuck, massive shock,
- 7:41Speaker 1: but felt it coming. But also regardless of that, we
- 7:46Speaker 1: had to respect his decision as a founding member and
- 7:49Speaker 1: first and foremost of being a family member, and that
- 7:52Speaker 1: comes first.
- 7:54Speaker 3: Yeah, I think what a lot of people don't realize,
- 7:56Speaker 3: Like from the outside looking in, you've just replaced a
- 7:58Speaker 3: bass player, so he's got to learn with you, but
- 8:01Speaker 3: you've also lost an important part in your writing. Yeah,
- 8:05Speaker 3: Like then the creative process, like it's people just expect
- 8:08Speaker 3: bands to pick up and keep going with a new
- 8:10Speaker 3: member change.
- 8:10Speaker 1: But and exactly right, and also too, after doing it
- 8:16Speaker 1: so long, we were lucky with Dan. Great player, great guy,
- 8:21Speaker 1: fitted in, great to be on the road with. And
- 8:23Speaker 1: that's the other thing. You're not going to spend all
- 8:25Speaker 1: those endless hours on the road with some fucking dickhead.
- 8:30Speaker 1: You know that might be a great player, this amazing musician,
- 8:33Speaker 1: but he's an outright fucking tool and you can't handle it.
- 8:36Speaker 1: Then it's not fun because let's face it, and there's
- 8:40Speaker 1: touring days, there's only an hour and a half of
- 8:42Speaker 1: that day you're on stage. The rest of the time
- 8:46Speaker 1: you're hanging out, going wow, do I want to be
- 8:48Speaker 1: around this guy? Or you know? You know what I mean.
- 8:51Speaker 1: It's it's there's so many elements and I guess a
- 8:54Speaker 1: lot of people don't see that. So yeah, it's it's
- 8:59Speaker 1: been massive, but it's been exciting as well. There's put
- 9:02Speaker 1: it's put a different edge on the back catalog from
- 9:05Speaker 1: the old stuff to the high priceded stuff over the
- 9:08Speaker 1: last ad months. It's put a different sound and edge
- 9:13Speaker 1: on it. I'm probably gonna say it's a little bit
- 9:16Speaker 1: tougher what it's feeling, and not in a disrespectful way
- 9:22Speaker 1: to matter or anything, in the sense of it's just
- 9:25Speaker 1: got this little bit more of an edge to it.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Whether that's us being excited for a new sound, I
- 9:30Speaker 1: don't know, but hey, we'll send the aim so.
- 9:35Speaker 3: Well, he can bring as much of the fucking seven
- 9:37Speaker 3: us sound that was in love as he wants, mate,
- 9:40Speaker 3: telling can't blanch bring as much of that as you want.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Well, it's there's there's something. There's a matter of toning
- 9:46Speaker 1: down a little fucker. No, No, it's good no, no,
- 9:50Speaker 1: it's good. It's look and we're looking forward to that.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Last night with Jim person Is he's his aim is
- 9:57Speaker 1: to learn as much of the back catalog as there
- 9:59Speaker 1: is that we all know, so we can pull out
- 10:02Speaker 1: songs at any time, which is great. But then we
- 10:05Speaker 1: broke into some groove last night and we're like, whoa,
- 10:07Speaker 1: what's that? So it will be very yeah, it will
- 10:10Speaker 1: be very cool. We'll be very cool. Wait then let's start.
- 10:14Speaker 1: He's just popped up as we're talking to him. Now,
- 10:16Speaker 1: he's just popped up on what'sapp on my computer?
- 10:20Speaker 2: Are us?
- 10:23Speaker 1: Mate? Something's gonna be burning.
- 10:27Speaker 2: Let's up.
- 10:27Speaker 3: You pick up the tour with Roace Tattoo starting Townso
- 10:30Speaker 3: on the twenty ninth August said you had the Cans
- 10:32Speaker 3: New South Wales, Newcastle, Perth and finished up at Albourne
- 10:35Speaker 3: the twenty of the September, So you would have played
- 10:37Speaker 3: that many shows of the Touchdow mate.
- 10:38Speaker 2: You could probably write their set list for him, can you?
- 10:41Speaker 1: Well? Pretty much in the case of demarc could pretty
- 10:45Speaker 1: much hand me the sticks and go to the bar
- 10:46Speaker 1: if he wants. You know, it's like that we know
- 10:49Speaker 1: each other's songs that much, because I mean we did
- 10:54Speaker 1: that extensive European tour where I'm playing every night for
- 10:56Speaker 1: six weeks, and if there's not a Roast Tatoo song,
- 11:00Speaker 1: we don't know. It's yeah, very surprised. But hey, it
- 11:05Speaker 1: doesn't matter. It doesn't matter how much you hear them,
- 11:07Speaker 1: how much we tour with them, there's still a buzz
- 11:10Speaker 1: to hear that band play.
- 11:13Speaker 3: Another thing that people probably don't realize as much raither
- 11:16Speaker 3: like how much of a difference is there for you
- 11:18Speaker 3: as a band, Like going from playing your own headlining
- 11:20Speaker 3: shows then going out on the road with some of
- 11:23Speaker 3: the Tats and during supports, is there much of a
- 11:26Speaker 3: shift or much different?
- 11:28Speaker 1: I guess only really the shift is in the length
- 11:31Speaker 1: of the set you're doing and the playing that you're doing.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Like with the Tats, if we only do a forty
- 11:37Speaker 1: five so that might be twelve songs. If we go
- 11:41Speaker 1: into our own show, we're looking at twenty odd songs,
- 11:44Speaker 1: And then I guess it's a different element there. And
- 11:49Speaker 1: you know, you're playing to your own crowd when you're
- 11:51Speaker 1: playing your headline, headline show. But in saying that to
- 11:55Speaker 1: the Roast, fans are very accepting of the poor, So
- 12:00Speaker 1: there is a little bit of a mind shift there.
- 12:03Speaker 1: But it's hard to do short sets because sometimes, you know,
- 12:08Speaker 1: you might only kick in and get in a groove
- 12:11Speaker 1: of four songs in and then all of a sudden
- 12:13Speaker 1: students car and we're out of there.
- 12:15Speaker 2: It carries on either way, doesn't he.
- 12:23Speaker 3: Next off after that in October you're off to Adelaide
- 12:26Speaker 3: the headline the rock Hard Festival.
- 12:27Speaker 2: That's how Yeah, bit of a swing this weekend as
- 12:30Speaker 2: well by rock Hard.
- 12:31Speaker 1: Yeah, well, hey whatever whatever works. Looking forward to that
- 12:37Speaker 1: because it's some newer bands and some bands that we
- 12:41Speaker 1: have played and have supportless, but just to also support
- 12:45Speaker 1: those guys because they do so much for that local
- 12:48Speaker 1: scene down there. So that'll be very cool. And we're
- 12:52Speaker 1: going to firstly, it was going to be the Saturday
- 12:56Speaker 1: festival sort of multi bam bill thing, and then we've
- 12:59Speaker 1: thrown on the next extra night, warm up night on
- 13:01Speaker 1: the Friday night with us and just a few different
- 13:03Speaker 1: bands that didn't make it on that bill, right, Yeah,
- 13:07Speaker 1: so we're just going to bump it down for two
- 13:10Speaker 1: days and drink all their beer.
- 13:13Speaker 3: I'll back you in on that one. You mentioned the
- 13:19Speaker 3: local there's some great local bands playing, like you've got Audio,
- 13:24Speaker 3: Raid of Blades, Avalanche, Dreadful Tides, Carli Jewel, like you guys,
- 13:29Speaker 3: with all due respect, you are the elder States. But
- 13:31Speaker 3: I guess now the rock scene so just sort of
- 13:34Speaker 3: bands coming through and give them advice or do you prefer.
- 13:37Speaker 1: The old tough love adage and no, no, no, we'll
- 13:40Speaker 1: show them our pension card and sit down. No, man, look,
- 13:45Speaker 1: it's the same old thing. It's the same old thing
- 13:48Speaker 1: because we're cut from that breed. Is you gotta you've
- 13:52Speaker 1: got to give the respect. You've got to earn the
- 13:53Speaker 1: respect as well, not saying well its total assholes and whatnot.
- 13:57Speaker 1: Like we'll talk to anyone and where they're but if
- 14:00Speaker 1: you come up and say gooday, or we say gooday
- 14:02Speaker 1: to you and and you know, it's all cool, happy days.
- 14:06Speaker 1: But you know if you turn around and just grunt
- 14:09Speaker 1: and just think you're all this and all that and
- 14:10Speaker 1: whatever else, well yeah, good luck to you. But yeah, no, man,
- 14:15Speaker 1: we're always there to help. And because a lot of
- 14:17Speaker 1: people helped us along the way and still do so
- 14:21Speaker 1: you know, it all goes around, and that's what's missing
- 14:23Speaker 1: a lot in this industry. Everyone's just sew out for
- 14:26Speaker 1: themselves and fucking no, I can't talk to you, and
- 14:30Speaker 1: I'm a different genre and I'm this fuck just annoy
- 14:35Speaker 1: you get on with life, getting on with it exactly right,
- 14:40Speaker 1: figure it out.
- 14:43Speaker 2: I so what after that? Mate, you've got the big one?
- 14:47Speaker 3: Next looks over when the poor throw on your won
- 14:49Speaker 3: and only pair of board shorts and steps out and
- 14:51Speaker 3: rock the boat twenty twenty six, I've already well, I'm
- 14:54Speaker 3: not even going on it.
- 14:55Speaker 1: Yeah you'll be there, mate, I'm sure you will. Yeah. Look,
- 14:59Speaker 1: I'm looking forward to to something different, and there's a
- 15:02Speaker 1: ship ton of bands on there. I've always been hesitant
- 15:06Speaker 1: on boat cruises that if you got on a group,
- 15:09Speaker 1: got on a boat cruise with a bunch of dickheads,
- 15:11Speaker 1: how to get away from them? But no, these boats
- 15:15Speaker 1: are big enough, that's not just a little tiny going
- 15:18Speaker 1: around the harbor. Really looking forward to a couple of
- 15:21Speaker 1: guys have done it before with different stuff, So yeah,
- 15:25Speaker 1: that should be good. And then I guess the plan
- 15:31Speaker 1: more so for next year as we get in in
- 15:33Speaker 1: right now, get a new product underway, get a new
- 15:37Speaker 1: release underway. We're talking with the guys, we're getting back
- 15:40Speaker 1: to Japan. Obviously they're sort of working on that now
- 15:44Speaker 1: because that was a blast. That was a real blast. Yeah,
- 15:48Speaker 1: really cool, really like it that this talks about Europe again.
- 15:53Speaker 1: It's just as we know and a lot of people.
- 15:57Speaker 1: You'd be surprised how many people have got the whole
- 15:59Speaker 1: mind set and attitude that the entertainment industry is exempt
- 16:05Speaker 1: from this crisis. Well, sure it's hard for people to
- 16:11Speaker 1: buy tickets to things and whatnot, but it's extremely hard
- 16:15Speaker 1: touring with the costs of flights and transport and accommodation
- 16:19Speaker 1: and just general touring expenses are through the roof. So
- 16:24Speaker 1: to go over and do European tours is a big
- 16:27Speaker 1: outlay and it's a big risk. And that's we're going
- 16:32Speaker 1: to take your hat off to these Australian promoters that
- 16:35Speaker 1: are constantly bringing out the international acts to Australia because
- 16:39Speaker 1: they are risking so much with the cost of touring.
- 16:42Speaker 1: And I know that first time for what I do
- 16:44Speaker 1: for work. So in saying that, you know, getting back
- 16:49Speaker 1: to Europe, it's got to be the right situation. It's
- 16:51Speaker 1: got to be with the right bands, and with all
- 16:56Speaker 1: the other conflict that's going on in the world too,
- 16:58Speaker 1: you know, that's all up in the air. Everywhere. So yeah, man,
- 17:03Speaker 1: that's crazy, crazy, but the show must go on.
- 17:07Speaker 3: I reckon Mastive Day now before made, I'm started his
- 17:11Speaker 3: segment up called photo Bomb.
- 17:12Speaker 2: So basically, I've shrold through your social media before.
- 17:15Speaker 3: You've had a chat pound a couple of photos that
- 17:18Speaker 3: I want to know a little bit more about. So
- 17:21Speaker 3: there's this one here made like you guys are going
- 17:23Speaker 3: straight to hell for this. Jesus Jesus doesn't even like spectators.
- 17:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I know, but it was in a rock and mood,
- 17:33Speaker 1: and you know, they were supposed to be mirrochades, but
- 17:36Speaker 1: we just couldn't color it in. That was in Japan,
- 17:38Speaker 1: somewhere backstage. I'll blame Dan, why not, he's.
- 17:40Speaker 2: Not here in Japan. You probably get fucking shocked for
- 17:43Speaker 2: that over there. You know, we got out of it.
- 17:46Speaker 1: So that's I don't know whether we put the glasses
- 17:50Speaker 1: on him, though, I think we might found me. You're
- 17:53Speaker 1: talking to Gave, Yeah, man, we put the glasses on. Yeah,
- 18:00Speaker 1: absolutely did the whole thing. Yeah. So yeah, from there
- 18:05Speaker 1: we go, Japanese Jesus comes to our show, Jesus with Spectators. Yeah,
- 18:14Speaker 1: Tam put that in the interview. I might get I
- 18:16Speaker 1: might get sent a little a little visits or something.
- 18:20Speaker 3: Now, the next photo I've come up with is sort
- 18:23Speaker 3: of more for the person involved in it because I
- 18:25Speaker 3: want to ask your story around it.
- 18:26Speaker 2: So that's skinny and i'll mate from airborn.
- 18:31Speaker 1: But yeah, I'll tell you boy, I want.
- 18:33Speaker 3: You to tell me the story, like the story behind
- 18:34Speaker 3: when they they were overseas on tour and they video
- 18:37Speaker 3: themselves doing a Skiing's only heard bits and peace of it,
- 18:42Speaker 3: but I want to know the whole story.
- 18:44Speaker 1: I think it just popped up on one of our
- 18:47Speaker 1: feeds or they sent it to us. And you know
- 18:50Speaker 1: Skeeny's little star jumpy thing when he gets on a
- 18:55Speaker 1: roll and he goes across from one side of the stage.
- 18:57Speaker 2: To the other.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Had a star junk shuffle. Well, I'm pretty sure it
- 19:05Speaker 1: was Joel with a camera and it was Ryan in
- 19:08Speaker 1: the car park doing the doing the skining impersonation in
- 19:12Speaker 1: the car park or just outside the lobby of the hotel.
- 19:16Speaker 1: And then it was something like Joel's saying, you know
- 19:18Speaker 1: you've made it when someone's making a personation of you.
- 19:22Speaker 1: And it was Ryan, Ryan and Joel from here bor
- 19:24Speaker 1: and taking the piss you.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Can stand up and give us an example of one.
- 19:28Speaker 1: No, I can't do that. I'm sober. I'll probably do.
- 19:32Speaker 3: A hammy should I get around anywhere, can be final.
- 19:37Speaker 1: I'll try and find it. I'll try and find it
- 19:38Speaker 1: for you and I'll send.
- 19:39Speaker 2: It to you. It'd be great.
- 19:42Speaker 1: Yeah, I think it's somewhere on one of our socials
- 19:46Speaker 1: or whatever. I'll try and find it. Definitely. And he
- 19:50Speaker 1: did a good job of it too.
- 19:51Speaker 3: Now I heard he was just dumbfounded when he's like
- 19:54Speaker 3: he didn't expect it all, did he?
- 19:56Speaker 1: Yeah, But then we started got payback on that one.
- 19:58Speaker 1: I don't know if that was before or after. I'd
- 20:00Speaker 1: have been after the fact that this could have even
- 20:02Speaker 1: been the night where that you've thrown it up. Joel
- 20:05Speaker 1: jumped up and he was so pissed that he had
- 20:08Speaker 1: no idea of the lyrics. And it was great. It
- 20:12Speaker 1: was just Dan, myself, Dan and Maddie are looking at it,
- 20:18Speaker 1: going what the fuck is coming through our monitors and
- 20:22Speaker 1: Joel was so pissed. He's just singing these lyrics and
- 20:26Speaker 1: I think he just forgotten. He turned around and he
- 20:28Speaker 1: saw skis bottle of stones greens into wine. Then all
- 20:31Speaker 1: of a sudden that became the main hook in the song,
- 20:34Speaker 1: and it was I think I'm pretty sure the song.
- 20:35Speaker 1: I think it was poison Joe going on and he's
- 20:40Speaker 1: going on about stones greens into wine.
- 20:42Speaker 2: It was.
- 20:43Speaker 1: It was fucking hilarious.
- 20:45Speaker 2: And the moral of that story is never getting a
- 20:46Speaker 2: drinking contest with the poor because you will lose.
- 20:51Speaker 1: Yeah, we've got some experience with professionals, so yeah, thanks
- 20:58Speaker 1: for your time.
- 21:00Speaker 3: Absolutely pleasure chatting with you Ma. There's so much got
- 21:02Speaker 3: on with the Poor I can't even repeat it. But
- 21:04Speaker 3: where's the best place for people to go and check
- 21:06Speaker 3: out your socials and find out what's happening.
- 21:08Speaker 1: Well, basically, the website was booted back up last night,
- 21:12Speaker 1: so it's the poorband dot com and any of those socials,
- 21:18Speaker 1: and you might see a star jumping skin you go
- 21:20Speaker 1: across the screen, or you might see Joel singing lyrics,
- 21:23Speaker 1: So who knows what you'll find
