A young Swedish teenager and his mormon family moves to the United States to learn the trade of show business, then moves back to Sweden and together with his two brothers participate as ''Herrey's'' in the in the Swedish Melodifestivalen, virtually unknown and in spray-painted boots and shirts made from shower curtains, confidently wins both Melodifestivalen and the Eurovision, becomes the biggest artists in Sweden at the time, gets besieged by screaming fans, briefly dates Carola and goes on tour behind the iron curtain.
