- 0:01First Timothy chapter 2, let us pray our Lord and our God and
- 0:10our King and our everything. Thank you, Lord God, for
- 0:13everything that you have done for us.
- 0:16Thank you for waking us up. Thank you for family.
- 0:19Thank you God, for all of the things that you do each and
- 0:24every day, the things seen and unseen.
- 0:26God, keeping our bodies alive and humming.
- 0:29God, all the things that you are moving mightily throughout this
- 0:33entire world that we may never know about on this side of
- 0:37eternity. Thank you God, for sustaining
- 0:41us. Thank you God, for protecting
- 0:44us. Lord, I pray for righteous
- 0:47leaders to rise up in this hour. God, I pray that men will be men
- 0:52in this hour. God, I pray against the schemes
- 0:57of the enemy. Father, I pray that you will
- 1:00supernaturally fill us. God and I pray for the family
- 1:05unit. I pray for you to strengthen
- 1:08families. God, in this hour, I pray for
- 1:11fathers to be fathers in this hour.
- 1:15God, I pray that women will see the roles that they have inside
- 1:24of the marriage covenant. God is holy.
- 1:27Lord, I I pray that they will see their ministry.
- 1:30Lord, I pray for children to learn obedience.
- 1:36God, I pray that they will learn how to accept correction.
- 1:42Lord and authority. God, I pray in the name of Jesus
- 1:47for law enforcement. God, I pray for the military.
- 1:51God, I pray that you will help supernaturally show them what is
- 1:57their role in the holiness and in the righteousness that you,
- 2:03Lord God, are well pleased with. Lord, I pray that you will raise
- 2:11up for yourself a generation that will glorify your holy
- 2:16name, Lord, and will not shrink back.
- 2:20Lord, I pray in the name of Jesus that you will be well
- 2:25pleased, Lord, with all of those who are called by your name God.
- 2:33And I pray that we will step in to the reality that you are
- 2:38supreme and that you're moving mightily all around us and that
- 2:43You are for us and not against us.
- 2:45God, I pray in the name of Jesus against all of the schemes and
- 2:51the wicked tyrannical attacks of the accuser of the brethren.
- 2:58God, bind the enemy from off of our families.
- 3:01God, bind the enemy from off of our houses.
- 3:06God, and off of our workplaces. Lord, I pray in the name of
- 3:10Jesus that we will rise up and be your hands and feet and be
- 3:19image bears. God, I pray in the name of Jesus
- 3:23that we will reflect. Yeshua, I pray God, that you
- 3:28will help us to fall more madly in love with you, that we will
- 3:34be fools for Christ's sake. We love you King Jesus, we
- 3:44worship you. King Jesus, you are our
- 3:48everything. We love you.
- 3:53Come, Lord, come help us to wait.
- 3:57Well, in the mighty name of Jesus, I pray.
- 4:00Amen. Well, let's start in verse one.
- 4:08I exhort, therefore, that first of all, supplication, prayers,
- 4:17intercession, and giving of thanks be made for all men.
- 4:24So Paul here is wanting us to pray for our leaders.
- 4:31He wants us to pray for every single person on planet earth,
- 4:36all people, groups, friends. We pray for our enemies.
- 4:41People are not the problem. It's the demonic spirit behind
- 4:45them that is fueling this doctrine of demons, this agenda
- 4:52for anarchy, this agenda for the dismantling of everything that
- 4:58is good and wholesome and pure and lovely and anything that is
- 5:04anti human. Anything that is destroying of
- 5:11human life, whether it be abortion, whether it be gender
- 5:15bending, whether it be the same sex relationships is a demonic
- 5:24attack. Friends, God desires for us to
- 5:33step in to His reality and what He has said and not our own
- 5:42vanity and our own morality. Friends, it does not work that
- 5:48way. God desires for us to protect
- 5:52life. God desires for us to procreate.
- 5:57God desires for one man and one woman to come together and to
- 6:02have godly children. Friends, that is the desire of
- 6:08Yahweh everlasting. And Paul wants them to know and
- 6:14he's writing to Timothy and saying pray, pray for those all
- 6:21over the world. And again, people are not the
- 6:25problem. It is all of the satanic revolt
- 6:31that we war against to, for kings and for all they that are
- 6:40in authority, that we may lead a quiet, peaceable life in all
- 6:48godliness and honesty. So he's saying pray for the
- 6:53leaders all over the world. Pray for them that God would
- 6:58raise up godly leadership so that it would be possible for us
- 7:05to live quiet, peaceable lives. Godly lives.
- 7:10Friends, that is what we desire, and it is bringing heaven to
- 7:16earth and we can see darkly and dimly and in part now, but one
- 7:21day we will see it in the fullness when Jesus Christ takes
- 7:25His rightful place on the throne for 1000 year reign of peace
- 7:31prior to the New Jerusalem for all of eternity, where we will
- 7:38dwell with Him and He with us forever and ever, Amen.
- 7:44And we can see these slivers of heaven on earth whenever His
- 7:52will is done here, just as it is there. 3-4 This is good and
- 7:59acceptable in the sight of God, our Savior.
- 8:02God desires for us to pray for our leadership, regardless of
- 8:10what side of the aisle they're on, regardless of who's in the
- 8:16top tier seat. We pray for them, and we pray
- 8:20that God's will will be done in their lives and through them.
- 8:27And sometimes inept, incapable leaders are the judgment that
- 8:38God places upon a land. Those who have no business being
- 8:43in those positions are God's judgment upon a land, friends,
- 8:50for who will have all men to be saved and to come unto the
- 8:57knowledge of the truth. God desires to have
- 9:00representatives from all nations and all people groups, all
- 9:05tongues and all skin colors, all backgrounds.
- 9:08God desires to save people from every single camp, friends, and
- 9:15that is why it's very important for us to not hold back from
- 9:20sharing the gospel with anyone, regardless of what they look
- 9:23like, regardless of how they try to present themselves and their
- 9:30false identities. We need to spread the seed,
- 9:35spread the gospel, regardless of the false pseudo appearance that
- 9:42people want us to see. They are made in the image of
- 9:45God, friends, and that is why we share the word of God to
- 9:49anybody, because because God doesn't desire for any to
- 9:53perish, He wants them to come to the saving knowledge of the Lord
- 9:58Jesus Christ. 5 For there is one God and one mediator between God
- 10:10and men, the man Christ Jesus. Praise God, that man, the first
- 10:16born, went up and sat at the right hand of God, and he is the
- 10:23man Christ Jesus, and he has a incorruptible body.
- 10:31And we will one day receive that incorruptible body, and the same
- 10:36power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead lives in you and
- 10:41lives in me. St.
- 10:46And he makes intercession, and he says, this one is mine.
- 10:50When we stand before Almighty God one day he will not see any
- 10:56of your sins and transgressions. He will only see the blood of
- 11:01Jesus Christ covering you from the top of your head to the
- 11:05bottom of your feet, and you will hear well done, good and
- 11:08faithful servant, and come into the rest that He has prepared
- 11:13for you. Six who gave himself a ransom
- 11:19for all to be testified in due time.
- 11:23It'll be in due time, friends, and I want you to know that
- 11:28Israel is God's timepiece. If you want to know what God is
- 11:33doing in the world, just pay attention to that little land
- 11:37and you will see how fast prophecy is speeding up by
- 11:42paying attention to Israel. And it'll be in due time.
- 11:48And Jesus Christ himself offered himself a perfect, spotless,
- 11:54blameless lamb, and only one was found worthy to open the scroll.
- 12:01And that is what you need to know.
- 12:03All of His perfection and innocence is imputed to you,
- 12:09believer. He takes on all of your
- 12:14sinfulness on the cross of Christ.
- 12:18This scandalous exchange happened as God turned away from
- 12:23him, which is why it grieved Jesus so much. 7 Whereunto I am
- 12:32ordained A preacher, an apostle, I speak the truth in Christ and
- 12:38lie not a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and Verity.
- 12:44So Paul here needlessly tells us his credentials, and he shows us
- 12:50that he is not lying and that he we can bank and build our lives
- 12:55upon this. Let every man be a liar, but
- 12:59only God Almighty is the only one who speaks truth.
- 13:04And Jesus Christ is truth, friends, and we need to know
- 13:10that Paul preached the word of God.
- 13:13Paul preached the good news of the Lord Jesus Christ.
- 13:17Paul was an ambassador of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, and now
- 13:25we are forever eternally blessed by Paul's obedience to God
- 13:31Almighty. 8 I will therefore that men pray everywhere,
- 13:38lifting up holy hands without wrath and doubting.
- 13:43So Paul here is wanting us to know that we are to praise God
- 13:48eternal, forever and ever in the congregations that we find
- 13:53ourselves in. Lift up holy hands and you can
- 13:57be holy because He is holy and it's nothing that you have or
- 14:01haven't done. It's everything that He did, and
- 14:04you are marked with Him, and you are identified with Him, and you
- 14:10lift up your holy hands in the congregation and pray and do not
- 14:14pray prayers of wrath and angry prayers, friends, that is not
- 14:19becoming of a St. And do not pray doubting, don't
- 14:24doubt and be tossed to and fro. That is not becoming of a St.
- 14:29Friends 9 In like manner also that women adorn themselves in
- 14:41modest apparel with shame, facedness and sobriety, not with
- 14:51braided hair or gold or pearls or costly array.
- 14:58Paul here is wanting the wives to know that they should not
- 15:04'cause attention to themselves. They are under the authority of
- 15:10their husbands and he's letting them know that they do not need
- 15:16to try to make themselves attractive, that they are to be
- 15:22under their husband's leadership and they do not need to cause
- 15:28any kind of attention to themselves.
- 15:32They need to be modest in their clothing and modest in their
- 15:37dress and modest in their hairstyles.
- 15:41Friends. And of course you could go and
- 15:43you could try to talk about the context of their time and their
- 15:49age, but it is just as relevant today as it was for this time.
- 15:55And that is what He wants us to know.
- 15:57God desires for women to be modest and to not 'cause
- 16:02attention to themselves and for them not to try to be the center
- 16:07of attention. Friends, married women are to be
- 16:13modest and there will be a lot of arguments is if they don't
- 16:19make themselves attractive that their husband's eyes might
- 16:22wander. And that is such a grave
- 16:28mistake. And that is why 99.99% of men
- 16:34have squandered their leadership is because they refuse to act
- 16:40with integrity. They refused to be ravished and
- 16:44enamored with the wife of their youth.
- 16:46And so it causes such a disruption in the godly order of
- 16:51what God desires, this submissive wife that is so
- 16:57pleasing to God Almighty. And we live in a day and we live
- 17:02in an hour where this gets so completely misconstrued of what
- 17:07God's heart is. And it is because we're being
- 17:11attacked on all sides and hard pressed by all of these
- 17:16disgusting images, these lustful, youthful desires that
- 17:21men refuse to bridle. They refuse to take a hold of
- 17:30their youthful lusts. And that is why you see such
- 17:34disorder in the family unit, friends, and that is why women
- 17:41will not be submissive because they do not have a leader that
- 17:45they feel is worthy of that. And that is where you see such a
- 17:53breakdown in the family unit and in God's perfect harmonious
- 17:59relationship within the marriage.
- 18:02It is God at the head, and then it is the man in, then it is the
- 18:08woman, and the woman will only follow the man to the degree
- 18:12that that he is sold out to King Jesus.
- 18:17And then you will see the children obeying the mother to
- 18:20the degree that she is submissive to the husband.
- 18:24And it is this beautiful stairstep when it is enacted
- 18:29properly. But we are so disorderly in this
- 18:32day, in this hour, and we're paying the consequence at a vast
- 18:39rate on a grand scale. You can see the breakdown of the
- 18:45family unit. 10 but which becomes women professing
- 18:59godliness with good works. So he's saying let your works
- 19:04show through. If you claim to be a godly
- 19:09woman, then it will be brought about in the things that you do.
- 19:16You don't need to cause attention to yourself.
- 19:20That is a very very immature woman of God.
- 19:28If you have been walking with God for any amount of time, if
- 19:32you have a competent leader in your life, your husband is
- 19:36actually sold out to God Almighty.
- 19:40Then as you mature you will see the air of your way and how you
- 19:45need to be modest and and be found with good works and that
- 19:55will be attractive to your husband and that will be what
- 19:59God is pleased in. 11, let the woman learn in silence with all
- 20:09subjection. You need to understand the
- 20:12perfect order that God has for the family unit.
- 20:16And he is unapologetic in it, friends.
- 20:20And if applied correctly, there's so much peace and
- 20:24harmony within the home and within the church.
- 20:27And he's telling the women here, Paul writing to Timothy for the
- 20:33church in Ephesus, that they need not be a distraction and
- 20:39cause all kinds of unneeded attention to themselves by
- 20:47speaking out of turn within the church and hollering and causing
- 20:55attention upon themselves. And Paul saying that they need
- 21:00to sit and wait. If they have things that they
- 21:03want to ask their husbands, they need to wait until they are at
- 21:09home. 12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp
- 21:20authority over the man, but to be in silence.
- 21:30Go back before the fall. You go back to Genesis and look
- 21:36at how God created all of the animals.
- 21:39He created them male and female. And then look at how he created
- 21:43Adam from the dust. And then he put Adam to sleep
- 21:47and he took his rib out and he made Eve as a helper friends.
- 21:52And we are equal Co heirs of eternity friends.
- 21:58And man is not better than woman.
- 22:02And this is where we get all turned around and we get our
- 22:07feelings hurt. And women feel as if they need
- 22:12to usurp their authority over their men because their men are
- 22:17acting like little boys or like animals or God forbid like women
- 22:25and become effeminate. And what you need to understand
- 22:30is in the perfect harmony of God's order for the family and
- 22:38for His church capital C The ecclesia is for men to act like
- 22:46men and to be the leaders. And you see whenever Eve was
- 22:51deceived, you can see when God steps in, he says to her, you
- 22:57will desire your husband, but he will rule over you.
- 23:01And that might be a hard word for many of these feminist women
- 23:06who think that they are better than men.
- 23:10But God in his perfect plan for all ages, that is relevant for
- 23:15today. This is not something of a
- 23:17yesterday. This is not an antiquated
- 23:20friends. This is for this day, for this
- 23:24hour, for now, for all time's sake until the blessed return of
- 23:29our Lord Jesus Christ. These words are trustworthy and
- 23:33true. They're infallible and inerrant.
- 23:35And God did not stutter. And part of the woman's faithful
- 23:44walk with God is to be submissive to her husband.
- 23:51And This is why it is so incredibly important to be very,
- 24:00very, very picky when it comes to choosing a husband.
- 24:09You need to be guarded, women, before you ever choose a
- 24:15husband, you make sure that he is someone who loves God more
- 24:20than he loves you and then it will be easy to submit and we
- 24:27can see this breakdown. You can see where a lot of the
- 24:31heresy and the apostasy is coming from is when we allow the
- 24:38Word of God to be watered down for the plain truths that there
- 24:42is not to be women teachers who are usurping their authority
- 24:48over the man. And this is not misogynistic.
- 24:52God loves women. Jesus Christ revealed his deity
- 24:57to the Samaritan woman at the well.
- 25:00Jesus Christ revealed his resurrection to a woman.
- 25:07Jesus did so much for women's rights in that day, in that hour
- 25:12friends. He allowed the women to follow
- 25:15him around. But it was 12 men that he chose
- 25:19to be his apostles and ambassadors.
- 25:23And it is not because men are better than women.
- 25:26We are equal and Co heirs of all eternity.
- 25:30But it is God's model and we don't get to cherry pick and we
- 25:34don't get to choose what parts of the Bible that we like and
- 25:38agree with and what parts of the Bible don't belong.
- 25:42It does not work that way. We read it in plain truth in
- 25:46black and white friends. And God did not stutter, and he
- 25:51meant what he said, and He said what he meant.
- 25:53Friends, far be it from us to try to make the Word of God to
- 25:58become congruent and homogenize it with the current culture.
- 26:03It does not work that way, friends.
- 26:05He meant what He said, and He says what He means. 13 For Adam
- 26:13was first formed, and then Eve. 14 And Adam was not deceived,
- 26:21but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
- 26:26So in the church and in the home, God desires for the man to
- 26:32be the leader. And it is plain as the nose on
- 26:35your face. And we could debate until the
- 26:37cows come home, but you're just warring and fighting against
- 26:40God, which will never amount to anything but frustration.
- 26:48And you can see here that Adam willfully disobeyed God whenever
- 26:52he ate the fruit. But it was Eve who was deceived.
- 26:56Friends 15 notwithstanding, she shall be saved in childbearing
- 27:12if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with
- 27:19sobriety. What's he talking about here?
- 27:30The woman will never feel as complete and fulfilled as she is
- 27:36in her role as a helper and as a mother.
- 27:43And there is such an attack on God's creation whenever we say
- 27:49that marriage is just a legal document, when we say that we
- 27:54don't want to have children. There's such an attack, friends.
- 28:00And it is sad to a holy God who knows what he's talking about.
- 28:08And he instituted marriage and he instituted the family.
- 28:13And he has a perfect order and a perfect plan.
- 28:16And when we rail against God, it is to our own frustration and
- 28:22demise. And the woman will never be as
- 28:26satisfied and as whole as she is when she chooses to be
- 28:32submissive and to get married and to have children.
- 28:37And she will find her purpose in this life, Friends, whenever we
- 28:45want to go outside of God's order, when we want to try to
- 28:50usurp authority, when we want to go and to do things that are
- 28:54contrary to God's Word, it will only lead to frustration.
- 28:58And there are many who are trapped in that now who will be
- 29:01hostile towards God's Word. But later they will find the
- 29:06error of their way and they will see that God is so good and He
- 29:12knows what He's talking about. And we need to fall in line with
- 29:16God's word if we want to find peace and we want to find
- 29:20purpose and we want to find meaning to this life.
- 29:25And that is what He's talking about here in verse 15.
- 29:29That she will finally see what she was created for when she
- 29:34steps into the role that God has for her.
- 29:37And until then, it will be perpetual frustration and
- 29:41warring and fighting against God.
- 29:46I hope that you've been blessed by this amazing chapter in God's
- 29:49Word. I know I sure have.
- 29:53I'm praying for you. I love you, God loves you, God
- 30:14bless you. See you back here tomorrow.
