- 0:00Welcome to World View Matters, discussing controversial issues, discerning current events,
- 0:10defending biblical Christianity.
- 0:13No topic, off limits.
- 0:16And now, here's your host, David Firazzo.
- 0:19Hey, friends, family and Christ, thank you for tuning in to another podcast.
- 0:23We really appreciate you guys so very much, especially your prayers, as we continue to
- 0:28grow, and it's because, of course, God and you.
- 0:32And people have been giving to the show here.
- 0:36We've received a donation from Tony and Michelle from Lakeville, Illinois, and handful of
- 0:42other states.
- 0:43But we are officially in our fundraising week or two, which we do this now, and I think
- 0:48in November, if I remember right, it may have been early December, so twice a year.
- 0:54What we do is we ask you to come on board and to encourage us by giving a tax deductible
- 0:59donation, if you are financially able to do that.
- 1:02And we're excited to announce an opportunity to expand our reach, Pioneer Network, Beck
- 1:07TV, God's Learning Channel, TV Network, we're able to get on these if we can raise the funds
- 1:13to do so.
- 1:14So if you have not already donated to World View Matters, I'd prayerfully consider that.
- 1:20And that's if you can give a one-time gift of $200, or recurring gift of 25 a month,
- 1:25we would also like to send you a signed copy of either my latest book, Assault on the
- 1:31Image of God, or a signed copy of Alex Newman's new book in doctorating our children to death.
- 1:38Also, for first time donors, we'd like to send you this mug, etched with my trademark
- 1:44keeps speaking the truth about things that matter.
- 1:47There it is on that side and World View Matters is on the other side.
- 1:49The website worldviewmatters.tv, WorldView Matters.tv, we're so blessed to have Britt Gillette
- 1:56back with us today and times Bible prophecy.
- 2:00He covers, I mean, I think any imaginable issue and many things that we need to be aware
- 2:05of.
- 2:06In fact, I just want to mention just some of the things he's talked about recently and
- 2:09you can subscribe to his sub-stack and I'll give you that link in a minute.
- 2:15We talked about the number one sign of the second coming, Netanyahu's warning to
- 2:20the world, seven reasons you should study Bible prophecy.
- 2:24And today we're going to talk about six global events that could rock the world at any
- 2:30moment.
- 2:31Britt Gillette, welcome back to the podcast.
- 2:33It's a question to be here.
- 2:35Thanks for having me.
- 2:36You're welcome.
- 2:37Good to see you, brother.
- 2:38I'm glad you're feeling a little better, maybe not quite up to 100 percent, but you sound
- 2:42good.
- 2:44So I want to mention your sub-stack because you've been transferring everything over
- 2:48there and doing a lot of work at Britt Gillette.substack.com, Britt Gillette.substack.com.
- 2:59So before we dive into this, there's a lot of events that you could possibly touch
- 3:04on, dozens and dozens, how do you decide every week when you put out content and say,
- 3:10okay, I'm sure you pray, Lord, what do I address now?
- 3:14How do you decide, what's that progress or that progression like?
- 3:19Well, it's really just a matter of assessing what's in the news, what am I reading, what
- 3:26am I watching, what information am I gathering, how does that filter through the context
- 3:31of what the Bible says?
- 3:32And as you said, prayerfully, considering that.
- 3:36And then I just run with where God leads me on that issue.
- 3:40Well, I know the last show we did, I don't remember what the topic was at this point.
- 3:43I think we talked about the banking crisis or the financial situation with FDIC and all
- 3:49that.
- 3:50And that was really popular.
- 3:51So people really like to hear these things and some practical steps that they can take.
- 3:57So you're kind of informing, but you're also warning as well and obviously always through
- 4:02the lens of the Bible.
- 4:03So Britt, let's talk about these global events.
- 4:06We only probably have time for six that could change or rock the world at any moment.
- 4:12And so what's coming next?
- 4:14You know, the first thing you talked, which is really surprising, Damascus, the destruction
- 4:19of Damascus.
- 4:20So you're going to have to explain that because maybe some newer members of our audience
- 4:24or younger believers might not understand how Damascus is prophetic.
- 4:29Sure.
- 4:30While Isaiah chapter 17 talks about the destruction of Damascus, Damascus is believed to be the
- 4:36longest continuously inhabited city on the planet over 5,000 years of recorded history.
- 4:42And we haven't seen the type of destruction that's outlined in Isaiah 17 happened before.
- 4:48Now there's this is a controversial topic.
- 4:51Some people who are very good Bible scholars believe that that was fulfilled previously
- 4:57through another war.
- 5:00I believe that it is not many other people believe that it is not that it's a future event.
- 5:06And so how this fits into the timeline of what we see going on in the world today.
- 5:10We see this confrontation between Iran and Israel taking place today.
- 5:15And even though that is somewhat faded from the headlines over the past few weeks, I believe
- 5:20there's a very real chance this could erupt again at any moment.
- 5:24And Iran has proxy armies located all throughout the Middle East and Yemen using Hezbollah and
- 5:33Lebanon, Syria, Iraq.
- 5:37And Damascus is a headquarters for terrorists and for members of the Iranian military as
- 5:43we saw recently with the attack there that killed several Iranian commanders.
- 5:49There's a very real potential that you could see this conflict escalate.
- 5:55Hezbollah is believed to have over 150,000 rockets that they could fire at Israel.
- 6:00There's an opportunity there for them to maybe overwhelm the air defenses of Israel.
- 6:06And if Israel felt there was an existential threat from that, I believe they would use
- 6:12all the firepower at their disposal to eliminate that.
- 6:16And we very well could see something along the lines of the destruction of Damascus.
- 6:20And we could see that prophecy of the Lord.
- 6:22I don't remember who it was.
- 6:24And I'm paraphrasing this what you just said about Damascus.
- 6:27I think it was a Mirsar Fati who quite a while ago, people were asking him, what does he keep an eye on?
- 6:33He says, well, the world might be watching Israel.
- 6:35I'm keeping my eye on Damascus.
- 6:37I think he said that.
- 6:39It's very interesting.
- 6:40But before you got into the points in your article, I appreciate the fact that you refer
- 6:45to Matthew 24.8 when Jesus said a lot of things are going to happen, wars, rumors of wars.
- 6:51He said, but all this is only for the first of the birth pains with more to come.
- 6:58And we're seeing a lot more to come.
- 6:59Brent, you could have talked about earthquakes, terrorist attacks, another global pandemic.
- 7:03You started with Damascus.
- 7:05And so we're always starting with Bible prophecy, which is awesome.
- 7:10Before we go on to number two, any other points you want to share about Damascus?
- 7:15I think that's fine.
- 7:16OK, well, this is very interesting.
- 7:19I'm not as familiar with Hormuz.
- 7:21Is that how you say it?
- 7:23The straight of Hormuz.
- 7:24Hormuz.
- 7:25So explain why you decided to pick this one for one of these events.
- 7:31Well, this fits perfectly in with what we're just talking about, this confrontation between Iran and Israel.
- 7:37So the straight of Hormuz is the vital choke point to enter and exit the Persian Gulf by water.
- 7:46And so as we've seen in the red sea, the red sea has been effectively closed to Western shipping
- 7:52since mid-December.
- 7:54In spite of the US Navy and all of its allies, I believe there's 22 countries engaged in something
- 8:00called Operation Prosperity Guardian in order to open that up and to end these Oothe rebel attacks
- 8:09on Western shipping.
- 8:12They have not been successful in doing that conventional firepower of the US Navy and all
- 8:18navies is no longer a deterrent against this new age of weapons of drones as munitions that
- 8:26can just be launched in mass.
- 8:28And so if we can see that happen in the red sea with the Oothe rebels who were funded by Iran,
- 8:33who were trained by Iran, fly by Iran, if Iran decided to do the same thing in the Persian Gulf,
- 8:40I have no doubt they would be successful.
- 8:42At the very least, they would lead to a dramatic increase in insurance rates for ships traversing
- 8:49the Persian Gulf, 20% of all the oil consumed in the world travels through the Persian Gulf.
- 8:58So if, for instance, they decided, well, out of protest against Israel, any nation aligned
- 9:07with Israel can no longer come through here.
- 9:10I mean, that is right on Iran's border.
- 9:13They would be able to do that.
- 9:16Many nations would probably join them.
- 9:19It would be similar to the Arab oil embargo we saw 50 years ago following the young
- 9:24poor war, and we could see a spike in oil prices if it got completely shut down.
- 9:31Those could probably approach $200 of barrel for oil relative to now it's around $80 a barrel.
- 9:38And if we saw huge spike in oil prices to that effect, especially in a small time frame
- 9:44like a day or a week, it would lead to a global financial crash because there are so many
- 9:50different derivatives linked to that price.
- 9:54And really, oil, fossil fuels in general, energy is the lifeblood of the global economy.
- 10:01There's a direct correlation between energy used and economic output.
- 10:07And so if you cut off that energy lifeline, then economic output comes to a grinding halt.
- 10:15Wow.
- 10:16That brings up so many other possible questions we don't have time to get into.
- 10:20For example, drilling right here in North America, why are we relying on oil that comes
- 10:26from over there, right?
- 10:27I mean, we can talk about all these different things.
- 10:30Before we go on to number three, do you have any quick thoughts on that, Britt?
- 10:34Yeah, I mean, I think we should be exploring every avenue we can to be as resilient as
- 10:40possible.
- 10:41And what we're seeing now, too, is we're seeing the easy to get oil in the shale oil
- 10:49plays within the United States is becoming harder and harder to reach, becoming more
- 10:54expensive to drill new wells.
- 10:56So the last decade, decade and a half of that oil production domestically is going to
- 11:03be dwindling in the very near future.
- 11:06And so this is going to be a problem that crops up in the days ahead.
- 11:12So did you pronounce it Hormuz?
- 11:14Is that right?
- 11:15Yes.
- 11:16The straight of Hormuz.
- 11:17Now again, for those of us who are maybe geographically challenged, exactly where is
- 11:21this?
- 11:22And it must not be very big if Iran could actually shut it down.
- 11:27Where exactly is that geographically?
- 11:28We have the Arabian Peninsula.
- 11:31And you have, so you have Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Yemen and Oman.
- 11:37And then you have on the other side of the Persian Gulf is Iran.
- 11:41So that would be the area we're talking about.
- 11:43There's a narrow area of navigable water to enter that Persian Gulf where you're getting
- 11:51oil from Kuwait, from Saudi Arabia, from Iran, from a number of places.
- 11:57And again, 20% of the world's oil supply, not exportable oil, 20% of all oil consumed
- 12:07in the world travels through that straight right there.
- 12:11Okay.
- 12:12Thank you, Jeff.
- 12:14You know, our guys are so on top of it, you know, Jeff, our video producer.
- 12:18He just brought that up as we were talking about it.
- 12:20So thank you, because I'm a visual guy.
- 12:22We should have had this plan before.
- 12:24And thank you that we've got it up there.
- 12:26Now we can see my goodness.
- 12:28No wonder they're able to shut it down.
- 12:30Okay.
- 12:31So I think, Britt, before we get into the next one, we better take a brief pause, because
- 12:37I think we need to spend a little bit more time on cyber attacks, on infrastructure, because
- 12:42this is huge.
- 12:44And this has been a threat for a while.
- 12:46I'm excited to hear what you're going to share about that.
- 12:49So we'll take a brief pause.
- 12:50We're with Britt Gillette.

- 14:15That Gillette is our guest today and he covers so many important topics.
- 14:21And I like how he starts off this next one, number three on the list we're going through
- 14:25six global events that could rock the world at any moment.
- 14:29Number three, cyber attacks on infrastructure.
- 14:33And I like how he started off despite the warnings, busy people or distracted people,
- 14:40he remained oblivious to the prospect of cyber attacks on vital infrastructure.
- 14:46So Brit, go ahead and share why you're concerned about this.
- 14:50Well, really in the modern age, we've become very reliant on certain systems to provide
- 14:55us with our day to day needs.
- 14:57And so we aren't as resilient as our grandparents and great grandparents were.
- 15:02Good point.
- 15:03You know, local utilities for our water, for our energy.
- 15:08We rely on electronic systems for our banking.
- 15:12There are so many different things that we rely on.
- 15:14When you think about, what was it, three years ago, the colonial pipeline at a ransomware
- 15:19attack that shut down that pipeline, which here, I'm on the east coast.
- 15:26And I remember that time within a few days, all the gas stations ran out of gasoline and
- 15:31everybody's on social media saying, where can I fill up my tank?
- 15:35I can't get to work.
- 15:37And they were able to resolve that relatively quickly.
- 15:39I can't imagine if that had continued for several weeks, it would have completely crippled
- 15:44the economy.
- 15:45Wow.
- 15:46So that's just one example of how vulnerable we are in so many ways.
- 15:53And again, think about there, there was an attack in January in Texas on several municipalities
- 16:00where you had a cyber attack from Russia that got into those systems, it didn't shut
- 16:05off the systems, but they were probably in there figuring out what they could do.
- 16:10One of those systems, it led to water overflowing from a tank and flooding a certain area.
- 16:18So Iran, China, other countries have threatened to do this.
- 16:23So think about it.
- 16:25They were able to shut down your local municipal water supply or your power or banking what
- 16:33that would mean if that lasted more than a day or two, it could cause your problems and
- 16:40imagine that on a nationwide basis.
- 16:42So there's attacks that are taking place toward infrastructure now that's sort of something
- 16:47we haven't seen probably since World War II.
- 16:50We look at the Nord Street pipeline and how that was blown up.
- 16:55We hear about the Houthi rebels.
- 16:58There were some internet cables cut underneath the Red Sea and they claim credit for that.
- 17:03So there's attacks on infrastructure taking place and we're really putting ourselves in
- 17:07danger if we just ignore those and aren't making plans on what we would do in the event
- 17:12up.
- 17:13So two things I wanted to ask you, you say the world economic forum has warned and then
- 17:19in parentheses, which probably means they're preparing to launch a global cyber attack on
- 17:25the internet.
- 17:27So you mentioned that.
- 17:28I want you to talk about that.
- 17:29But the other question I have in the back of my mind, I know Satan's got his minions out
- 17:34there.
- 17:35I know people who would want to do evil and do something like this.
- 17:40They've been out there for a long time.
- 17:41Why haven't we seen more of this yet?
- 17:45Why do you think?
- 17:47Well, I think because, you know, like it's probably like nuclear war, there's a price
- 17:53to be paid for doing that and individuals may want to do those things, but nation states
- 17:59are probably holding them in check in order to prevent what may likely come back at them
- 18:07as a result of that.
- 18:08We don't know what's going on behind the scenes and maybe there's somebody has said, well,
- 18:14all of our systems go down.
- 18:16We're not going to look for who the culprit is.
- 18:17We're just going to attack everybody.
- 18:20I don't know, but we definitely need to be prepared for it.
- 18:24Because again, what if, as we've seen, there were a lot of people saying, what if four
- 18:29years ago and people that ignored them and said, oh, that's over the top or the grocery
- 18:35stores won't run out of food.
- 18:38Right.
- 18:38Well, run out of toilet paper.
- 18:40These systems, they work perfectly.
- 18:43That's when there were a lot of people that regretted that.
- 18:46Oh, man, the shipping and the transportation industry.
- 18:50One thing I wanted to ask you, the W E F, why would they say this and how would they
- 18:56know that there's some global cyber attack coming, right?
- 19:00I mean, where would they get this intelligence?
- 19:04And if they're not involved somehow, is that a good question?
- 19:07Yeah, yeah.
- 19:08Well, you have to, you have to wonder if they have a plan for implementing that.
- 19:13Just as there were, there were war games put in place for what if a coronavirus was
- 19:19unleashed on the world?
- 19:20We had that type of thing thing happened prior to 2020.
- 19:24And then, oh, it happened.
- 19:26And as we talked about in the previous video, the FDIC has said, well, these are
- 19:31what, what we would tell people that we're war gaming out this crisis.
- 19:36Well, you and I don't have faith in the banking system.
- 19:38And they said, we would do this preferably on a Friday.
- 19:41And if you saw, there was a bank that failed two weeks ago.
- 19:45And they notified us on a Friday after the close.
- 19:48It was a small bank, a relatively small bank.
- 19:50I think it was Republic first was the name of it.
- 19:54But that's their, they're telegraphing their plans in advance.
- 19:59Right.
- 20:00And one of the reasons they do that is so they can say, well, we told you it was
- 20:04coming, right?
- 20:06What, what are you complaining about?
- 20:07We told you it was coming.
- 20:09Yeah, it's very important to be listening to what they're saying.
- 20:12Exactly.
- 20:13Ben, we talked about in that video that they were saying, well, what can we
- 20:16share with the people or that they're not ready, the, the little, you know,
- 20:21minions, they're not ready to hear what we can share with them.
- 20:24But that brings us to the next one.
- 20:25Number four in the global events that could rock the world is that banking
- 20:30crisis.
- 20:31So we talked a little bit about this last time we had you on Britain.
- 20:35By the way, guys, you can go to worldviewmatters.tv and you can search for
- 20:39our previous podcast with Brit Gillette just going the upper right side and
- 20:44type in Brit Gillette in the search.
- 20:46But go ahead and share your thoughts on this on the global banking crisis.
- 20:51Well, it's really just a matter of time before this erupt.
- 20:54So we had last year and 2023, we had this banking crisis emerge.
- 21:00We had the failure of the second, third and fourth largest banks in US
- 21:03history.
- 21:04We had credit suites on the verge of failure and their government basically
- 21:08demanded that UBS buy them out and prevent that from happening.
- 21:12That would have caused possibly a global financial crisis.
- 21:17So they instituted this program called the bank term funding program at
- 21:22the time that allowed these troubled banks to borrow billions of dollars
- 21:26from the Federal Reserve.
- 21:27That is since come to an end as of March 11th.
- 21:31We also have the banks sitting on $600 billion and unrealized losses on
- 21:38their bond portfolios as a result of interest rates having gone up.
- 21:43And we have a commercial real estate crisis that threatens to take down the
- 21:47system in the same way that we saw the residential housing crisis during the
- 21:51great financial crisis.
- 21:54Do everything that it did.
- 21:55We had the CEO, Starward Capital was on CNBC saying he expects one to two bank
- 22:02failures per week, moving forward as a result of this crisis.
- 22:06And Bert Domen of Domen Capital was recently interviewed and said that he thinks
- 22:11that we're going to enter a period very soon that is akin to the great depression.
- 22:17So we're on the verge of seeing the Federal Reserve, the
- 22:22politicians, they're stuck between a rock and a hard place because they raise
- 22:27rates. They will crush the banks.
- 22:30They will crush the system.
- 22:31We'll go into a deep depression, but if they lower the rates to save the banks,
- 22:36then we get runaway inflation because the only way they can save those
- 22:40banks is to just print currency.
- 22:43So we're really in a no win situation at this point.
- 22:46And that's the next number five.
- 22:48Your point is the currency crisis that could be, in fact, it's already in the
- 22:53works. Just share your thoughts briefly on that so we can get to number six,
- 22:56the good, the great point that you end with.
- 23:01So right now, eras of two weeks ago, the Japanese yen,
- 23:06have 34 year love versus the dollar.
- 23:10So they're really in a, like, a condom of epic proportions.
- 23:15It's believed that there was intervention by their central bank in order
- 23:19to prevent that from running away, having this runaway inflation.
- 23:24But they're in a position where Japan is already in a recession.
- 23:27If they hike rates in order to save their currency, well, then they risk not
- 23:32only plunging the economy into depression, but they also risk blowing up their
- 23:37whole government debt load because while we in the United States, we look and
- 23:41say the national debt is out of control in Japan.
- 23:45It's 264% of GDP, which is more than double what we have in the United States.
- 23:52And if you raise interest rates on that debt, then you just had this debt spiral
- 23:57where they have to print currency to pay the debt.
- 24:00And then you have hyperinflation anyway.
- 24:02So at some point, this is going to blow up.
- 24:05And we're talking about the third, fourth largest economy in the world,
- 24:08depending on who you consult, it's a big deal.
- 24:12So guys, Britt can only kind of condense what's in this article,
- 24:17what's in this particular topic that he expounds on at britgelette.substac.com.
- 24:23And there's a lot more recent ones he's done as well.
- 24:26But number six, and we can end on a high note because this is our hope, the
- 24:31return of Christ, the rapture of the church.
- 24:33That's your point number six.
- 24:34Thank you.
- 24:36Because we've got to end with something that we can look up because our
- 24:39redemption is drawing near.
- 24:40Go ahead, Britt.
- 24:42Right.
- 24:42Well, the point is in spite of all of these things, we should have hope because
- 24:46Jesus is already victorious.
- 24:49Amen.
- 24:49We know that Jesus said birth pains would characterize these times that we live in,
- 24:55meaning these types of global events would happen with greater frequency and
- 24:58intensity as we approach the time of his coming.
- 25:02So we would expect to see these very things.
- 25:04So they should give us hope, not fear certainly.
- 25:07We're not to fear.
- 25:08We should have concern certainly.
- 25:11But the rapture of the church is an imminent event.
- 25:15It always has been, but as we see these, the stage being set for the events
- 25:20of the tribulation, which we can clearly see, my opinion, that tells us that
- 25:26the rapture of the church is even closer because of the way that takes place
- 25:29before the seven year tribulation.
- 25:31So if that were to happen, say tomorrow, all of these things that we talked
- 25:37about would probably happen very shortly thereafter, because the world is
- 25:42built on this house of cards where any number of dominoes could fall at any
- 25:46moment, cause a chain reaction caused contagion throughout financial
- 25:51system through wars that were on the brink of.
- 25:56And if you had the disappearance of a significant number of people,
- 26:01that would probably cause all of those things to take place in short order.
- 26:05So the world, world's a mess, but God is in control.
- 26:13And if you know Jesus, then you can have boob and what appears to the world
- 26:20like hopeless times, the world's a mess.
- 26:23But we have the best message the gospel to share with a hopeless or a dying
- 26:30world. And it just reminds us, everything is so
- 26:33shakeable and changeable and, you know, temporary, but God is the
- 26:39unshakeable Lord of Lords, King of Kings, Lord of Lords. He's the
- 26:43creator. And you write in there, if you're already a Christian,
- 26:46don't fear these things that we're talking about, be informed,
- 26:50try to prepare as best you can, but don't fear the things of this world,
- 26:53especially the coming events of the tribulation.
- 26:57And remember Jesus' reminder in Revelation 310 that you quote in your
- 27:00article, the great time of testing that will come upon the whole world.
- 27:04Brit, I really appreciate all you do and just always ending like this too,
- 27:09gives people hope that, okay, things will happen that are out of our control
- 27:14so much as already out of our control. But we can trust in a God who is in
- 27:18complete control, right? Amen. Yes, we can trust in Jesus.
- 27:23He's got everything taken care of. Yeah, praise God.
- 27:27Always good to have you. And it always goes by way too fast.
- 27:31Again, friends, BritJalette.substac.com and ETBP, that end times Bible
- 27:37prophecy over on YouTube with BritJalette. Lord willing, we'll do this again
- 27:41in the near future, brother. Thank you. Thank you.
- 27:44All right, guys, thanks for sharing the podcast. God bless you. And as always,
- 27:48keep speaking the truth about things that matter.
