- 0:29Speaker 1: dot com.
- 0:33Speaker 3: All right, good morning, welcome to Breaking Points back here
- 0:35Speaker 3: on the land of the Free.
- 0:37Speaker 4: It's going to say Ryan is back from Cuba and
- 0:39Speaker 4: we have a whole block prepared. We're going to go
- 0:42Speaker 4: through some of the pictures and reporting that Ryan pictures truck,
- 0:45Speaker 4: but also reporting Ryan did in an interview actually with
- 0:48Speaker 4: what the top the third top official in Cuba with
- 0:51Speaker 4: a big scoop yes and so.
- 0:52Speaker 3: And what you guys don't know is that back before
- 0:55Speaker 3: the Internet and Instagram, when people would come back from
- 0:59Speaker 3: a trips overseas, they would invite all their neighbors over
- 1:02Speaker 3: to literally watch, Yes, the kind of slideshould they put
- 1:06Speaker 3: up on the wall of their house or something.
- 1:08Speaker 5: I still do that for my parents.
- 1:09Speaker 3: Yeah, so that's what you guys are going to have
- 1:11Speaker 3: to suffer through today.
- 1:13Speaker 5: There you go.
- 1:14Speaker 4: But it's actually it's not going to be suffering through.
- 1:16Speaker 4: It's it's super interesting. And Ryan was on news Max
- 1:18Speaker 4: last night, got into a fun tussle with the host.
- 1:21Speaker 4: So we're going to break that down more immediately though.
- 1:24Speaker 4: New updates, actually recent updates from both US negotiators and
- 1:29Speaker 4: Iranian negotiators towards a potential ceasefire piece deal over there.
- 1:34Speaker 4: We are going to break all of that down, and
- 1:35Speaker 4: there's a lot to get to. Donald Trump was making
- 1:38Speaker 4: remarks in the Oval office yesterday saying, oh.
- 1:40Speaker 5: Kinds of crazy stuff. Did you watch this presser?
- 1:43Speaker 6: I watched a lot of it. It was Trump in
- 1:45Speaker 6: normal form.
- 1:47Speaker 5: And hag seth, hag seth. Oh, my god, keeping we're
- 1:50Speaker 5: on the throttle and.
- 1:51Speaker 3: Trump giving him the eyebrow rays when he's talking about
- 1:54Speaker 3: the hard throttle. Yeah, Trump still Michael Scott, that's what
- 1:59Speaker 3: she said, as like his warst secretary is talking basically
- 2:04Speaker 3: so kind of amused and confused by hegseeth, but love
- 2:07Speaker 3: kind of loves him.
- 2:09Speaker 4: Yeah, because you're right. It's a sort of I think
- 2:11Speaker 4: it was similar with Christy nom until it wasn't. It
- 2:14Speaker 4: can happen quickly.
- 2:15Speaker 3: If Trump wasn't bringing so much death, destruction and despair
- 2:18Speaker 3: to the world, we could just sit back and kind
- 2:21Speaker 3: of laugh at his antics. And he really another thing
- 2:25Speaker 3: I hate him for is depriving us of that joy
- 2:28Speaker 3: because you can't. It's with what he's doing, you can't
- 2:31Speaker 3: even laugh at him. And it's like that was the
- 2:33Speaker 3: best thing about him, is just how funny he is.
- 2:36Speaker 5: Now we're at war with wrong and just yeah.
- 2:39Speaker 3: And like just trying to striangle Cuba and doing it's like,
- 2:42Speaker 3: come on, well, we also get back to the jokes.
- 2:46Speaker 4: And not optimistic that will happen anytime soon. We also
- 2:49Speaker 4: have updates from Lebanon, where we're looking at some significant,
- 2:56Speaker 4: significant incursions from Israel.
- 3:00Speaker 5: New updates for.
- 3:01Speaker 6: What the New York Times get hammered for calling it.
- 3:03Speaker 5: What did they say?
- 3:04Speaker 3: New York Times said something like Israel may decide to
- 3:08Speaker 3: continue to control some of the territory that it has grabbed. Yes,
- 3:14Speaker 3: evading and occupying Lebanon is the word you're looking at.
- 3:17Speaker 5: They should have just went with Trump. I believe I'll
- 3:19Speaker 5: have the honor of taking it, taking.
- 3:21Speaker 6: Lebanon, which does not have a right to exist.
- 3:23Speaker 4: Yes, we should have just went with that. Apparently from
- 3:25Speaker 4: the New York Times. Lots lots of stuff on Cuba,
- 3:29Speaker 4: because that's moving very quickly. Ryan, you can tell us
- 3:33Speaker 4: more about this.
- 3:34Speaker 5: But this is what the.
- 3:35Speaker 4: Government calls Operation Total Extermination. That's the Pentagon title or
- 3:42Speaker 4: Western Hemisphere.
- 3:43Speaker 3: That's not great when you're in the Western Hemisphere and
- 3:45Speaker 3: you find out that the operation directed it you was called.
- 3:49Speaker 5: Say it again, total Extermination.
- 3:51Speaker 6: That's not good.
- 3:52Speaker 5: No, not great.
- 3:53Speaker 4: But Ryan is going to tell us what's really happening
- 3:56Speaker 4: on the ground and what we could see happening very soon. Democrats,
- 4:00Speaker 4: I mean, we have new Gavin Newsom footage here. Democrats
- 4:03Speaker 4: are squirming over a pack. Some are sort of that
- 4:07Speaker 4: we could use that as an intro for every show,
- 4:09Speaker 4: but some are apparently leaning into saying I'm not taking
- 4:13Speaker 4: any money from a pack, as though it's a badge
- 4:15Speaker 4: of honor. But we'll see how what that actually means
- 4:19Speaker 4: at the end of the day. Whose money they will
- 4:20Speaker 4: and will not take. But there's some new clips Gavin Newsom,
- 4:23Speaker 4: Corey Booker. This is him saying, we don't have a
- 4:27Speaker 4: clip of this, but he said he's not taking a
- 4:29Speaker 4: PAC money. So lots to get to on that front.
- 4:31Speaker 4: And Ryan's the guy for it because he's been reporting
- 4:33Speaker 4: on this for years.
- 4:34Speaker 3: This Indeed, Unfortunately I didn't. It's not even the thing
- 4:37Speaker 3: I wanted to report on. I was just reporting on
- 4:38Speaker 3: like progressive campaigns, and all of a sudden there's one
- 4:41Speaker 3: hundred million dollars from this outside group in these campaigns.
- 4:45Speaker 6: Like I thought this was about like where you are
- 4:47Speaker 6: on the Green New Deal.
- 4:48Speaker 5: No, no, it never was. All right.
- 4:50Speaker 4: Also, AI blackouts possibly coming in the future, not possibly
- 4:54Speaker 4: probably coming in the future. New reporting on college graduate
- 5:00Speaker 4: it's the plight of college graduates this spring. Many of
- 5:03Speaker 4: you are probably experiencing that right now, and I'm sure
- 5:05Speaker 4: you'll let us know in the comments.
- 5:07Speaker 5: It's bad, it's bleak.
- 5:08Speaker 4: And Jensen Waning says we've reached agi new clip of
- 5:11Speaker 4: him on Lex Friedman. Finally, Ryan, we have a guest
- 5:14Speaker 4: to go through some horrible economic updates, looking really rough.
- 5:17Speaker 3: Christopher Robb, Yes, he's a state legislator in Pennsylvania. Recently
- 5:24Speaker 3: after we booked him, was endorsed by Justice Democrats. Maybe
- 5:27Speaker 3: they knew we were booking him. Like, let's get in
- 5:29Speaker 3: before he's on. I guess the Breaking Points bump.
- 5:32Speaker 7: Yep.
- 5:32Speaker 3: He's running for an open congressional seat which would represent
- 5:36Speaker 3: you know, most of most of Philadelphia.
- 5:39Speaker 6: So we'll talk it.
- 5:40Speaker 3: We'll talk to him about, you know, the state of
- 5:42Speaker 3: the national and Pennsylvania economy and how that's playing into
- 5:45Speaker 3: the race.
- 5:46Speaker 4: There you go, all right, And as a reminder, Breakingpoints
- 5:48Speaker 4: Dot comments where you can go to get a premium subscription.
- 5:51Speaker 4: We appreciate your support, so many new members of the
- 5:54Speaker 4: Breaking Points premium family. That gets you the second half
- 5:57Speaker 4: of the Friday shows. As a reminder, those are totally paywalled.
- 6:00Speaker 4: We're coming around with you missed this last week, a
- 6:02Speaker 4: potential new name for the second half of the Friday shows.
- 6:05Speaker 4: Like I think we just make it free, like typical, typical,
- 6:10Speaker 4: I'm pretending I'm a news Max host.
- 6:12Speaker 3: And sorry if you paid for it, because you're like,
- 6:14Speaker 3: what I really want is the second half of the
- 6:16Speaker 3: Friday show. So that's going to be the thing that
- 6:18Speaker 3: puts over the top I think we.
- 6:19Speaker 6: Should just give it to everybody. It's too good, it's
- 6:21Speaker 6: too good to keep from the public.
- 6:23Speaker 4: But the thing that you do get for you get
- 6:24Speaker 4: if you're a premium member, is the show right to
- 6:26Speaker 4: your inbox every single day with no really how the
- 6:30Speaker 4: show is meant to be watched?
- 6:31Speaker 5: Yes, so how.
- 6:33Speaker 6: For these luxury hotels in Cuba?
- 6:34Speaker 5: That's right? That keep the power on.
- 6:37Speaker 4: On top of that, we should add you also support
- 6:41Speaker 4: our independent journalism, like sending Ryan to Cuba, helping said exactly,
- 6:46Speaker 4: which make you like.
- 6:47Speaker 5: On a milk carton or something.
- 6:49Speaker 6: Sponsors sponsors journalists.
- 6:54Speaker 4: All right, let's get into the show. New updates in
- 6:57Speaker 4: negotiations that apparently or happening according to the.
- 7:01Speaker 3: US go Well, let's be clear, negotiations require two parties
- 7:06Speaker 3: and require one party to respond to the exactly Iran,
- 7:10Speaker 3: who this day has still not responded to the US.
- 7:13Speaker 3: So there's a lot of WhatsApp being used for these communications.
- 7:16Speaker 3: If you use WhatsApp, you know you get those two
- 7:18Speaker 3: little blue checks if it's been received and you're just like, okay,
- 7:23Speaker 3: they got it, Like are they going.
- 7:25Speaker 6: To respond here?
- 7:26Speaker 3: And so whitkob has been left on these two blue
- 7:28Speaker 3: checks for like more than a more than a week.
- 7:31Speaker 3: Now now he has just sent he's like it, and
- 7:35Speaker 3: he just sends like an entire ceasefire proposal that Iran
- 7:40Speaker 3: has not formally responded to yet.
- 7:42Speaker 4: Although the Wall Street Journal has a story about Iran's response.
- 7:46Speaker 3: Well, yeah, let's get into the So the reporting from
- 7:52Speaker 3: It's important to understand that the reporting first emerged out
- 7:54Speaker 3: of Israel and from Israeli media. And I was talking
- 7:58Speaker 3: to my colleague Jeremy Scalhe this morning. He was saying
- 8:02Speaker 3: that we should take the specifics with a grain of salt,
- 8:06Speaker 3: according to his sources in Tehran. But it is, it
- 8:11Speaker 3: is indeed true, and actually we can just we can
- 8:13Speaker 3: put up with Jeremy Jeremy's post here. It is, it
- 8:16Speaker 3: is indeed true that the US has sent has sent
- 8:22Speaker 3: an offer sheet basically for a thirty day ceasefire. Iran
- 8:26Speaker 3: is reviewing it. Iran is extraordinarily skeptical of the seriousness
- 8:32Speaker 3: of the United States because twice they have entered into
- 8:35Speaker 3: negotiations and killed the negotiators and then launched wars with Iran.
- 8:41Speaker 3: They killed Hamas negotiators after delivering a peace deal to
- 8:47Speaker 3: Hamas like this, The Trump Peace deal.
- 8:49Speaker 6: They met to discuss it.
- 8:51Speaker 3: Yeah, so they're like, yeah, so until they're they're reviewing it,
- 8:55Speaker 3: and there's been no formal response yet according to Jeremy sources,
- 9:01Speaker 3: and until then, the retaliatory strikes will continue.
- 9:04Speaker 6: The war is on until it's off.
- 9:06Speaker 3: Like there's no there's no pausing on the assumption that
- 9:10Speaker 3: this is that this is serious. But it's still worth
- 9:14Speaker 3: us going through the terms, just just to understand that
- 9:17Speaker 3: some of the details are probably shaded a little bit
- 9:21Speaker 3: that that were released out of Israeli media.
- 9:24Speaker 5: Yeah, so let's put them up on the screen. Screen.
- 9:25Speaker 5: This is a zero, the fifteen.
- 9:27Speaker 3: You want to go through these since you have better eyes.
- 9:30Speaker 4: I remember my glasses, although I don't always. This is
- 9:34Speaker 4: from as Ryan said, Israeli media. This is really channel
- 9:38Speaker 4: twelve being cited. One fifteen clauses here. One automatically cancel
- 9:43Speaker 4: the threat of reimposition of sanctions.
- 9:45Speaker 3: Which incredible, by the way, let's just that's opening bid
- 9:48Speaker 3: from the US.
- 9:49Speaker 5: I had to think about that one twice.
- 9:51Speaker 3: Like lifting Iran gets its sanctions lifted, like incredible, Okay,
- 9:56Speaker 3: that's yeah.
- 9:56Speaker 4: Two dismantling Iran's existing nuclear capability.
- 10:00Speaker 6: They already agreed to that in February.
- 10:01Speaker 5: Three agreement with Iran.
- 10:03Speaker 4: Iran vows never seek nuclear weapons, agreed to that in February,
- 10:07Speaker 4: preventing the enrichment of any nuclear material on Iranian territory.
- 10:10Speaker 3: That is probably a miss uh, misreporting or misinformation from
- 10:16Speaker 3: from Israel. I would suspect that the details are not
- 10:20Speaker 3: that tight.
- 10:21Speaker 5: Yeah, okay, interesting sticking point.
- 10:22Speaker 6: There would be a total prevention.
- 10:24Speaker 4: Five delivery of enriched uranium to the IAEA.
- 10:28Speaker 3: Iran basically agreed to some version of that. They even
- 10:31Speaker 3: agreed to allow US companies to operate the Iranian program
- 10:34Speaker 3: in February. So just because Iran, by the way, agreed
- 10:37Speaker 3: to this in these things in February, doesn't mean they will.
- 10:39Speaker 3: Now they're in a better position than they were ironically
- 10:44Speaker 3: in February.
- 10:44Speaker 5: Anyway, go ahead delivery. Oh I just did that one.
- 10:47Speaker 4: Sex decommissioning and destroying the sites of Natan's Isfahan and
- 10:51Speaker 4: Foordah seven.
- 10:53Speaker 3: That's probably that's probably a little bit not exactly how
- 10:57Speaker 3: it reads.
- 10:57Speaker 4: Well, that's that's an interesting one too, because we basically
- 11:00Speaker 4: have claimed to destroy tons.
- 11:04Speaker 5: That was midnight hammer.
- 11:06Speaker 6: Yeah check.
- 11:07Speaker 4: Grant thee a full access to all information Iran abandons
- 11:12Speaker 4: proxies approach.
- 11:14Speaker 6: Well, that's interesting.
- 11:15Speaker 3: Maybe this is the kind of thing Iron agrees to
- 11:17Speaker 3: and then just doesn't live up to, which is a
- 11:20Speaker 3: very Israeli slash Middle East thing to do.
- 11:22Speaker 4: Sometimes, stopping funding and arming militias in the region so
- 11:26Speaker 4: similar keeping the straight of horm moves open without any closure.
- 11:31Speaker 6: Yeah, I don't. I don't think they're going to open
- 11:34Speaker 6: as long as you pay them.
- 11:35Speaker 4: I was going to say they've learned postponent of decision
- 11:39Speaker 4: on ballistic missile program.
- 11:40Speaker 6: You know the words cool, Yeah, get off our jock
- 11:42Speaker 6: about the missiles.
- 11:44Speaker 4: A few more here. Ballistic missiles are only used for defense.
- 11:48Speaker 3: Acording to them, that's all that they're used for. And
- 11:50Speaker 3: actually they have never as far as I'm aware of,
- 11:53Speaker 3: and correct me if I'm wrong out there in the comments.
- 11:57Speaker 6: Have I don't.
- 11:57Speaker 3: I'm not aware of them ever launching a ballistic missile
- 12:01Speaker 3: strike against any country that where they weren't hit first.
- 12:05Speaker 5: Lifting all sanctions on Iran.
- 12:08Speaker 6: Incredible, Yeah from the US.
- 12:10Speaker 5: Yeah, this is again, this is the summary.
- 12:14Speaker 3: This is a real like blow to the like the
- 12:17Speaker 3: Trump is winning the war crowd. We're gonna lift all
- 12:23Speaker 3: sanctions in order to end this war.
- 12:24Speaker 6: But we're definitely winning it.
- 12:25Speaker 4: And we're gonna tell you to destroy the sites that
- 12:27Speaker 4: we said we basically destroyed, all right, last one or
- 12:31Speaker 4: two more support for the development of a civilian nuclear
- 12:33Speaker 4: program automatically canceled the threat.
- 12:36Speaker 6: They agreed to that basically in February, the US refused it.
- 12:39Speaker 4: The last one is just automatically canceled the threat of
- 12:41Speaker 4: reimposition of sanctions.
- 12:43Speaker 6: Same thing as number one.
- 12:44Speaker 3: Like, so you're promising multiple times that you won't sanction them.
- 12:48Speaker 5: Right in different ways.
- 12:49Speaker 4: Let's then Ryan talk about the story that broke overnight
- 12:52Speaker 4: from the Wall Street Journal, and again this is pretty new.
- 12:56Speaker 4: According to the Politico summary, their peace proposal demands include quote,
- 13:01Speaker 4: the closure of all American bases in the Gulf, the
- 13:04Speaker 4: payment of reparations for missile attacks on Iran, plus the
- 13:07Speaker 4: lifting of all existing sanctions. They want to collect fees
- 13:10Speaker 4: for ships transitting the Strait of Horn. Moves to the point,
- 13:12Speaker 4: you just made an end to Israeli attacks on has
- 13:14Speaker 4: Belah and permission to start its missile building program without limit. Ryan,
- 13:20Speaker 4: The question, though, is how legitimate is this Wall Street
- 13:23Speaker 4: Journal summary of the Iranian peace proposal?
- 13:26Speaker 6: According to Jeremy's sources. This is they have not formally.
- 13:30Speaker 4: Responded, so it got leaked to the journal, or someone
- 13:34Speaker 4: is manipulating the journal with a fake peaceposal.
- 13:37Speaker 3: The journals sources in general tend to be on the
- 13:41Speaker 3: American and Israeli side, and so typically throughout this conflict,
- 13:47Speaker 3: if your sources have been on the American and Israeli side,
- 13:49Speaker 3: you are more likely to get incorrect information. There may
- 13:54Speaker 3: be some kind of informal back and forth that's happening,
- 13:58Speaker 3: and that the US or Israel gleaned from that back
- 14:01Speaker 3: and forth that this is what they want. I can
- 14:04Speaker 3: say for sure that Iran's position is that it is
- 14:09Speaker 3: a very high priority of THEIRS that the US bases
- 14:13Speaker 3: be dismantled in the region, and they have said from
- 14:17Speaker 3: day one that they want reparations like I don't think
- 14:20Speaker 3: people and people might laugh at that. We know that
- 14:24Speaker 3: it is a horrific war crime that we started the
- 14:27Speaker 3: war by killing at least one hundred and sixty five
- 14:30Speaker 3: little girls. We know that intellectually, and a lot of
- 14:34Speaker 3: us kind of feel it in our bones. It happened
- 14:38Speaker 3: to Iranian girls like it is that much more real
- 14:43Speaker 3: to the Iranians. They're getting pummeled in a way that Israel,
- 14:50Speaker 3: the UEE, Kuwait, etc. Are not even getting pumbled. Like
- 14:53Speaker 3: they're getting hit really ruthlessly.
- 14:57Speaker 6: You saw the.
- 14:57Speaker 3: Images of the black smoke that could cause cancer among
- 15:03Speaker 3: the Tehran population for decades. They feel like they've been wronged,
- 15:08Speaker 3: that they did not start the war. They've been pummeled,
- 15:10Speaker 3: and they deserve reparations for this. Whether they actually get
- 15:13Speaker 3: that and what form that takes, we'll see. But I'm
- 15:17Speaker 3: just my point here, and they're serious, like they feel,
- 15:23Speaker 3: we did not do anything to you to deserve this.
- 15:25Speaker 3: You did this, You're now losing pay us.
- 15:29Speaker 4: Let's listen to the Commander in Chief, Donald Trump in
- 15:32Speaker 4: the Oval Office at This was the swearing in for
- 15:34Speaker 4: Mark Wayne Mullin at DHS yesterday.
- 15:37Speaker 5: Hit a couple of interesting moments.
- 15:40Speaker 8: A one because they're going to make a deal. They're
- 15:44Speaker 8: going to make a deal. They did something yesterday that
- 15:46Speaker 8: was amazing. Actually, they gave us a present and the
- 15:50Speaker 8: president arrived today. It was a very big present worth
- 15:55Speaker 8: a tremendous amount of money. And I'm not going to
- 15:58Speaker 8: tell you what that president is, but it was a
- 16:00Speaker 8: very significant prize and they gave it to us, and
- 16:07Speaker 8: they said they were going to give it, so that
- 16:08Speaker 8: meant one thing to me, would deal with the right people. No,
- 16:12Speaker 8: it wasn't nuclear. It was oil and gas related, and
- 16:16Speaker 8: it was a very nice thing they did. But what
- 16:18Speaker 8: it showed me is that we're dealing with the right people.
- 16:21Speaker 3: There's a couple more clips that we're just gonna well,
- 16:23Speaker 3: we got to speculate first about what it was. Well,
- 16:27Speaker 3: Menaker said it was a large wooden horse possible. My
- 16:32Speaker 3: sources say that Trump got an email from somebody who
- 16:34Speaker 3: said that they were the Iatola's nephew and that he
- 16:38Speaker 3: had access to trillions of dollars reserves, but he needed
- 16:43Speaker 3: just a few thousand dollars in bitcoin to unlock those reserves.
- 16:49Speaker 6: And they're going back and forth right now.
- 16:51Speaker 3: Trump accidentally is now apparently locked out of his devices.
- 16:54Speaker 6: I'm trying to.
- 16:55Speaker 3: Figure out because once they can get those trillion dollars
- 16:58Speaker 3: in reserves, it's going to be smooth sailing, is going
- 17:01Speaker 3: to give checks to every American.
- 17:02Speaker 6: It's going to be incredible.
- 17:03Speaker 4: Did you see the moment in Bill Clinton's Epstein deposition
- 17:06Speaker 4: where he was asked about sending emails?
- 17:09Speaker 5: Oh no, oh, I'm going to send it to you.
- 17:11Speaker 4: It's amazing, he boomer maxes. I think that's probably where
- 17:14Speaker 4: Trump is on emailing too. You got to text it
- 17:16Speaker 4: to him and probably like really big font. But he continued,
- 17:21Speaker 4: He continued, we learned about his plans for an electric
- 17:24Speaker 4: plant a too.
- 17:26Speaker 8: You know, if you read the papers, you think we're tied,
- 17:28Speaker 8: you think we're in a tough battle. We are roaming
- 17:31Speaker 8: free over Tehran, the city Terhen is opposed to Iran.
- 17:37Speaker 7: We're roaming free. We can do whatever we want.
- 17:41Speaker 8: And as you know today, we were going to have
- 17:43Speaker 8: the privilege of shooting down a very big electric generation plant,
- 17:48Speaker 8: one of the biggest in the world, and one shot
- 17:51Speaker 8: to the right location ends the plant that collapses. And
- 17:55Speaker 8: we held off based on the fact that we're negotiating
- 17:59Speaker 8: so much.
- 17:59Speaker 4: To him, pack Tehran not Iran. I like sometimes how
- 18:02Speaker 4: he gives insight into how his brain works. You see Tehran,
- 18:06Speaker 4: you think Iran, but no, it's a city.
- 18:08Speaker 5: Tehran love to be.
- 18:09Speaker 6: The first time he learned that the capital of Iran
- 18:11Speaker 6: was Tehran, Yes, it blew his mind.
- 18:14Speaker 5: It's clever now also.
- 18:17Speaker 6: And then there's Esfahan.
- 18:19Speaker 5: One of his.
- 18:20Speaker 4: Criticisms of Barack Obama and many people on the rights
- 18:24Speaker 4: is they were often telegraphing plans, military plans. Here Trump
- 18:29Speaker 4: freelancing at a DHS swearing in ceremony in the Oval Office,
- 18:34Speaker 4: says today we're gonna have the privilege of shooting down
- 18:37Speaker 4: a very big electric generation plant ostensibly before it happened Ryan, except.
- 18:42Speaker 3: He didn't end up doing that because Iran threatened to
- 18:46Speaker 3: escalate if he did that, and he backed down.
- 18:49Speaker 4: So is it a taco or is it him negotiating?
- 18:51Speaker 4: Like actual question, because I think this is one thing
- 18:53Speaker 4: that people get wrong about Trump is that it's sometimes
- 18:56Speaker 4: called a taco, and it's like, I see where you
- 18:59Speaker 4: think it's called a taco. And he takes a lot
- 19:01Speaker 4: of l's on these things, rightfully. So other times he's
- 19:03Speaker 4: clearly just negotiating in public and wants to set the
- 19:07Speaker 4: parameters in a certain direction.
- 19:09Speaker 3: Taco in this case implies that he was going to
- 19:11Speaker 3: do something and then he chickened out.
- 19:13Speaker 6: Right, I'm not convinced that's true.
- 19:15Speaker 3: I think that was market manipulation beginning to end, that
- 19:19Speaker 3: the front end threat was market manipulation and the back
- 19:23Speaker 3: end fake chickening out was more market manipulation and if
- 19:29Speaker 3: anybody's watching, By the way, there is a lot to
- 19:31Speaker 3: subpoena in twenty twenty seven when when Democrats are probably
- 19:35Speaker 3: going to take the House, they show subpoena power. So
- 19:38Speaker 3: we should like we need to like write down all
- 19:40Speaker 3: the things we want to know because we're going to
- 19:41Speaker 3: forget because there's so many things. So we need like
- 19:45Speaker 3: twenty twenty seven subpoenas dot org or something like that,
- 19:49Speaker 3: and put on the list. Who are these investors, these
- 19:54Speaker 3: these no stra damas.
- 19:58Speaker 6: Like ough traders. I'd love to know who went in and.
- 20:03Speaker 3: Bought made the perfect oil trade right before you know
- 20:07Speaker 3: he came out with his we're actually in fake negotiations
- 20:10Speaker 3: with Iran and who bought all of these s and
- 20:13Speaker 3: P futures like, because there's there are a couple of
- 20:17Speaker 3: traders that are making these massive trades that are perfectly
- 20:21Speaker 3: timed with Trump's fake moves the Monday was so we
- 20:26Speaker 3: need to put it on the subpoenal list for twenty.
- 20:29Speaker 4: Absolutely put it on the subpoenal list for twenty twenty seven.
- 20:32Speaker 4: Speaking of our negotiations, here's Secretary of War Pete Haig Seth.
- 20:35Speaker 9: A three the air campaign that we've conducted that Israel's
- 20:39Speaker 9: conducted alongside us was one for the history books, truly,
- 20:42Speaker 9: And it's because we have a president of the United States
- 20:44Speaker 9: that when he sends his war fighters out to fight,
- 20:47Speaker 9: he unties their hands.
- 20:49Speaker 5: To actually go out and close with and destroy.
- 20:51Speaker 9: The enemy as viciously as possible from moment one.
- 20:54Speaker 5: And that's why we.
- 20:55Speaker 9: See ourselves as part of this negotiation as well. We
- 20:58Speaker 9: negotiate with bomb You have a choice. As we loiter
- 21:02Speaker 9: over the top of Tehran, as the President talked about
- 21:04Speaker 9: about your future, President has made it clear that you
- 21:07Speaker 9: will not have a nuclear weapon.
- 21:09Speaker 5: The War Department agrees.
- 21:10Speaker 9: Our job is to ensure that, and so we're keeping
- 21:13Speaker 9: our hand on that throttle as long as hard as
- 21:16Speaker 9: is necessary to ensure the interest of the United States
- 21:19Speaker 9: of America are achieved on that battlefield.
- 21:22Speaker 4: We negotiate with bombs as we are also negotiating apparently
- 21:28Speaker 4: peace plan, point by point by point.
- 21:31Speaker 3: And if you have a second and you're like a
- 21:33Speaker 3: juvenile like roll back and watch Trump's eyebrow raise.
- 21:37Speaker 5: It's pretty good.
- 21:37Speaker 3: Also, if you are the guy that started the war
- 21:41Speaker 3: killing one hundred and sixty five plus little girls, would
- 21:44Speaker 3: you really keep celebrating how Trump untied your hands, like
- 21:50Speaker 3: he keeps talking about how there were all of these
- 21:53Speaker 3: stupid political rules of engagement that kept the US from
- 21:57Speaker 3: waging war the way that Pete Hags thinks that we
- 21:59Speaker 3: should wage war, and the first chance he gets to
- 22:02Speaker 3: put those rules into place, he double taps in elementary school.
- 22:08Speaker 4: Well, I mean he would probably say successful Venezuela operation
- 22:12Speaker 4: civilian harm mitigated.
- 22:15Speaker 3: All right, the first time he gets, the first time
- 22:18Speaker 3: he has a war against an actual.
- 22:19Speaker 5: War a Middle Eastern country.
- 22:21Speaker 3: Yeah, that was a raid that who knows you know
- 22:25Speaker 3: what what happened politically behind that?
- 22:26Speaker 5: Yeah, truly we don't know.
- 22:28Speaker 6: Yeah. So, yes, he did not double tap an elementary
- 22:30Speaker 6: school in Venezuela. I will give him that there.
- 22:33Speaker 4: It is, yes, a very high bar for our war department.
- 22:37Speaker 4: Here's Donald Trump talking about maybe the right word for
- 22:41Speaker 4: this is cavalierly talking about a launch of missiles at
- 22:46Speaker 4: a US aircraft carrier.
- 22:47Speaker 7: Next up with our great Patriot missiles. Think of it.
- 22:51Speaker 8: They shot one hundred missiles at one of our aircraft carriers.
- 22:55Speaker 7: He Abraham Lincoln, one of.
- 22:57Speaker 8: The biggest ships in the world actually, and of one
- 23:00Speaker 8: hundred and one missiles shot. Every single one of them
- 23:04Speaker 8: was knocked down in the sea. Think of that, Think
- 23:06Speaker 8: of what that means. One hundred and one missiles, highly sophisticated,
- 23:11Speaker 8: very fast missile shot at of one.
- 23:14Speaker 7: Hundred and one.
- 23:15Speaker 8: All one hundred and one was shot down, and now
- 23:18Speaker 8: for the most part lie at the bottom.
- 23:20Speaker 7: Of the sea. Pretty amazing, right, pretty amazing. Our military
- 23:25Speaker 7: is amazing, Pete.
- 23:26Speaker 8: You know the attack I'm talking about recently, one hundred
- 23:30Speaker 8: and one shot. I said, wow, I saw that. You
- 23:33Speaker 8: can see we have sort of pretty good equipment that
- 23:35Speaker 8: we see. It's called the red line. Those red lines
- 23:38Speaker 8: were thick, right, I said, that's a lot. And then
- 23:41Speaker 8: we saw him, one by one just get shot.
- 23:43Speaker 7: And these guys that do the shooting and the coolest
- 23:45Speaker 7: cucumbers ever.
- 23:46Speaker 8: You know, most people, you don't have a lot of
- 23:48Speaker 8: time when a missile's going at twenty five hundred miles
- 23:52Speaker 8: an hour.
- 23:53Speaker 4: He also just did the Shane Gillis but there Ryan
- 23:56Speaker 4: where Gillis's Trump impersonation. He explains by saying, I walked
- 24:01Speaker 4: into a room, I said, wow, what a beautiful He
- 24:03Speaker 4: literally just did that in the middle of a conversation
- 24:05Speaker 4: about war.
- 24:07Speaker 3: Yeah, and this is the kind of information that the
- 24:11Speaker 3: Department of War keeps under a.
- 24:14Speaker 6: Very tight lid.
- 24:15Speaker 3: They do not let the public in on the amount
- 24:20Speaker 3: of volleys, you know, sent at the Lincoln Carrier group,
- 24:25Speaker 3: the fact that they had to expand their up Patriot missiles.
- 24:28Speaker 3: They've they have other missile defenses on ships.
- 24:31Speaker 6: But whatever, I.
- 24:33Speaker 3: Get details wrong too, me and Trump, it's fine, but
- 24:36Speaker 3: for him to reveal that is very interesting.
- 24:38Speaker 6: We did not know that. And now people are speculating, oh,
- 24:41Speaker 6: that that.
- 24:42Speaker 3: Might explain why we're seeing the Lincoln Carrier Group kind
- 24:47Speaker 3: of shading further and further away from Iran, which makes
- 24:51Speaker 3: it more more difficult for US to project power back.
- 24:54Speaker 6: And so if okay, great, good good.
- 24:57Speaker 3: I'm glad for the sailors that they shot down the
- 25:00Speaker 3: one hundred and one missiles, but it shows how vulnerable
- 25:03Speaker 3: the carrier.
- 25:04Speaker 5: Group is and how scary the situation is.
- 25:07Speaker 6: Yeah, and.
- 25:09Speaker 3: In a way that the US is not used to,
- 25:11Speaker 3: Like the US and Israel are used to just flying
- 25:14Speaker 3: over Gaza, dropping whatever bombs they want and then just landing,
- 25:18Speaker 3: no no stress at all. Nobody's shooting back at them.
- 25:23Speaker 3: We're now getting We're now getting shot at and we
- 25:27Speaker 3: are kind of retreating in significant ways. The Ford carrier group,
- 25:31Speaker 3: they're like cooked, they're done it like supposed somebody didn't
- 25:36Speaker 3: clean the lint drawer and the and there was a
- 25:39Speaker 3: big fire in the dryer area. And now that now
- 25:43Speaker 3: that whole carrier group is out of commission for a
- 25:46Speaker 3: trillion dollars a year. We can't keep our carrier groups
- 25:51Speaker 3: close to Iran, even it's amazing.
- 25:57Speaker 5: Meanwhile, let's put up the next element.
- 25:59Speaker 4: This is a five sentcom told Stars and Stripes yesterday
- 26:03Speaker 4: that a total of two hundred and ninety service members
- 26:06Speaker 4: have been wounded so far in Operation Epic Fury. The
- 26:10Speaker 4: majority of those two hundred and fifty five have returned
- 26:13Speaker 4: to duty. The number of seriously injured remains ten. We
- 26:18Speaker 4: also then should go to the next element from Barack Ravid,
- 26:21Speaker 4: who reported yesterday a senior US official tells me the
- 26:25Speaker 4: eighty second Airborne Division Headquarters has received an order from
- 26:28Speaker 4: the Pentagon to deploy to the Middle East along with
- 26:31Speaker 4: several infantry brigades of thousands of soldiers. Raved says, why
- 26:35Speaker 4: it matters, this is a significant additional reinforcement to the
- 26:38Speaker 4: US four structure in the region ahead of a possible
- 26:41Speaker 4: ground operation in Iran.
- 26:44Speaker 5: Ryan. When you look at the.
- 26:46Speaker 4: News, this is the escalation spiral in action that you
- 26:52Speaker 4: go back ten years from now, ten months from now
- 26:55Speaker 4: and do an autopsy. We'll see the military analysts go
- 26:59Speaker 4: back ten months around autopsy what just transpired or was
- 27:02Speaker 4: transpiring at the moment, and they'll say, these are the precipitating,
- 27:06Speaker 4: precipitating factors of escalation. We're watching it happen.
- 27:10Speaker 6: Yeah, and I can confirm that.
- 27:12Speaker 3: We heard the same yesterday that the eighty second Airborne
- 27:15Speaker 3: is being dispatched from Fort Bragg. They there are I'm
- 27:19Speaker 3: sure all sorts of plans being drawn up for Delta
- 27:21Speaker 3: Force and these special operations types. The Carg Island, which
- 27:27Speaker 3: is this island that the Trump keeps getting pushed to seize,
- 27:32Speaker 3: and you know, as it plays a very crucial role
- 27:35Speaker 3: in Iran's oil production and shipping, is constantly kind of
- 27:41Speaker 3: on the on the target list. And there was this
- 27:44Speaker 3: incredible I think it was in the paragraph from the
- 27:46Speaker 3: Watching Post that said, you know, Defense Department officials are
- 27:50Speaker 3: you know, game planning out what it would take, and
- 27:53Speaker 3: they believe that they could seize Carg Island.
- 27:56Speaker 6: Probably true.
- 27:57Speaker 3: They we have like the most like special ops and
- 28:01Speaker 3: don forced guys and all hopped up on as Seth
- 28:04Speaker 3: Harvest written the best drugs that they can ship into
- 28:08Speaker 3: our country.
- 28:09Speaker 6: So they could take it.
- 28:10Speaker 3: And then but then they had a line that said
- 28:13Speaker 3: they would for as long as they're there, they would
- 28:15Speaker 3: have to, you know, fend off a relentless volley of
- 28:18Speaker 3: drones and missiles.
- 28:20Speaker 6: It's like, yeah, yes, like in perpetuity, that's right.
- 28:23Speaker 3: Like guys, So you're gonna put a whole bunch of
- 28:25Speaker 3: guys on an island right next to Iran, which part
- 28:30Speaker 3: of Iran? And what are they going to do about
- 28:34Speaker 3: the missiles and drones raining down on them? Like what
- 28:37Speaker 3: do you how are you going to fend those off?
- 28:39Speaker 3: You can be the baddest special operator on the planet.
- 28:44Speaker 3: You can't just get rained on by drones and missiles
- 28:49Speaker 3: in perpetuity.
- 28:50Speaker 4: You need to get resupplied constantly. Like that's again it's
- 28:54Speaker 4: escalation spiral.
- 28:55Speaker 3: You have to not get blown up, which is hard
- 28:58Speaker 3: when you're getting missiles rained on you constantly. So it's
- 29:02Speaker 3: just it's not a thing that you can do unless
- 29:04Speaker 3: unless you completely like just vaporize Iran. Like as long
- 29:07Speaker 3: as iron exists and can fire off drones. Yeah right,
- 29:10Speaker 3: those then those troops can't hold carg Island.
- 29:13Speaker 4: Yeah, a couple poles to get to here. This one
- 29:16Speaker 4: is actually people started.
- 29:17Speaker 5: Picking up of it.
- 29:18Speaker 6: I feel about this well.
- 29:19Speaker 4: People started picking up on this one yesterday. It was
- 29:21Speaker 4: actually a u gov poll that was done in mid February.
- 29:23Speaker 4: We can put the next element up on the screen.
- 29:27Speaker 4: This was just looking at a real news article pulled
- 29:30Speaker 4: out by Adam Johnson who said a new yu gov
- 29:32Speaker 4: poll shows twenty five percent of Americans falsely believe Iran
- 29:35Speaker 4: possesses nuclear weapons and forty five percent believe the also
- 29:38Speaker 4: false claim Iran has an active nuclear weapons program. And
- 29:42Speaker 4: I went back and followed the poll. It was taken
- 29:44Speaker 4: in mid February. I'm sure you would get very very
- 29:47Speaker 4: similar results if you conducted it today.
- 29:50Speaker 5: Meanwhile, though, even with that, so just keep that in
- 29:54Speaker 5: your brain. Let's go to the next pole. A eight.
- 29:58Speaker 5: This is genuinely a new pole.
- 30:00Speaker 4: CBS News take in March seventeenth through twentieth, ninety two
- 30:04Speaker 4: percent of Americans want to end the conflict as quickly
- 30:08Speaker 4: as possible. Eighty percent say they want to make sure
- 30:10Speaker 4: Iran's people are safe and free. Seventy three percent say
- 30:13Speaker 4: permanently stop Aron's nuclear programs, sixty eight percent say stop
- 30:16Speaker 4: Iran from threatening other countries predictable results, but ninety two
- 30:20Speaker 4: percent saying end the conflict as quickly as possible.
- 30:23Speaker 5: Run.
- 30:25Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 30:26Speaker 3: I remember in our poll there were some interesting kind
- 30:29Speaker 3: of contradictory thoughts. You know, people desperately wanted the war
- 30:34Speaker 3: to end. So I find that to be a very
- 30:36Speaker 3: credible number people. Also in our poll we asked about
- 30:39Speaker 3: the ballistic missile program. They overwhelmingly American people do not
- 30:42Speaker 3: want Iran to have a ballistic missile program. I'd like
- 30:48Speaker 3: I'd like to try to square some of that that
- 30:50Speaker 3: for people like Okay, well, what are you willing to do,
- 30:55Speaker 3: Like how much war are you willing to engage in?
- 30:58Speaker 6: Do you want to engage in to.
- 30:59Speaker 3: Make sure or like just as a yeah, should this
- 31:02Speaker 3: country that we believe is scary have a blistic missile program?
- 31:05Speaker 3: I can imagine of course, like most Americans be like no,
- 31:08Speaker 3: why would we want a dangerous country to have dangerous weapons?
- 31:11Speaker 3: But then it's like, well, okay, the only way we're
- 31:13Speaker 3: gonna stop them from that is forever war.
- 31:17Speaker 4: So I want to stop on this point, just briefly,
- 31:18Speaker 4: because it's been driving me insane. We remember when Diego
- 31:21Speaker 4: Garcia was hit or was fired. They fired at Daego
- 31:24Speaker 4: Garcia several days ago. There were people all over X
- 31:28Speaker 4: from the right taking dubs, being like, you're telling me
- 31:31Speaker 4: Iron doesn't pose a quote imminent threat. Look at what
- 31:35Speaker 4: they just did. Their missile range is double what we
- 31:38Speaker 4: thought it was. If you go and look at the
- 31:41Speaker 4: countries that have full ice we're not even talking about
- 31:44Speaker 4: nuclear weapons. If you look at just ICBMs, how many
- 31:48Speaker 4: countries can cover the entire globe with their missiles. Do
- 31:52Speaker 4: we think that we should be going to war with
- 31:54Speaker 4: North Korea? Because if you're using your justification that this
- 31:57Speaker 4: is an anti American death cult and it needs to
- 32:01Speaker 4: be taken care of because they have a ballistic missiles
- 32:03Speaker 4: program that can hit much of Europe, and it's true
- 32:07Speaker 4: they do. That's absolutely accurate. North Korea's is bigger. North
- 32:12Speaker 4: Korea's range is bigger than irons. So if that is
- 32:16Speaker 4: your justification, now I'm not saying it's everybody's only justification,
- 32:20Speaker 4: but the glibness that was being projected after the Diego
- 32:24Speaker 4: Garcia incident was mind boggling because it's a justification to
- 32:29Speaker 4: go to war with other countries, but particularly with North Korea.
- 32:33Speaker 4: And if you want to put that idea in Donald
- 32:34Speaker 4: Trump's head and have America first. Donald Trump, then after
- 32:39Speaker 4: he finds some type of piece, he's already said that
- 32:42Speaker 4: we won the war, go on and say we're gonna
- 32:44Speaker 4: win a warrior with North Korea.
- 32:46Speaker 5: Enjoy that.
- 32:47Speaker 3: Yeah, now they've got nuclear tips on those ICBMs, which
- 32:51Speaker 3: also plays plays into how we're like, you know what
- 32:54Speaker 3: we're gonna pick on.
- 32:56Speaker 6: We're gonna go pick on Cuba. I think actually Cuba
- 32:58Speaker 6: is the problem.
- 32:59Speaker 4: Yeah, total extermination. That's the name of the operation. We'll
- 33:03Speaker 4: get to that in just a moment. Ryan Pakistan getting
- 33:06Speaker 4: increasingly involved in this particular conflict. Go ahead, throw the
- 33:10Speaker 4: next element up on screen. This is Pakistan's Prime Minister
- 33:14Speaker 4: saying this just yesterday. Pakistan welcomes some fully supports ongoing
- 33:18Speaker 4: efforts to pursue dialogue to end the war in the
- 33:20Speaker 4: Middle East and the interest of peace and stability in
- 33:22Speaker 4: the region beyond subject of concurrence by the US and Iran.
- 33:24Speaker 4: Pakistan stands ready and honored to be the host facilitate
- 33:27Speaker 4: meaningful and conclusive talks for comprehensive settlement of the ongoing conflict.
- 33:31Speaker 4: We roughly already knew that, Ryan, but can you, maybe,
- 33:35Speaker 4: since you've covered Pakistan pretty closely in the last several years,
- 33:39Speaker 4: explain to us the significance.
- 33:41Speaker 3: According to our reporting, Wikoff has been there in Islamabad
- 33:44Speaker 3: for two days.
- 33:47Speaker 6: They weren't returning his text messages.
- 33:48Speaker 3: So he's like, maybe if I go to Islamabad, they'll
- 33:51Speaker 3: just meet me at the bar. They haven't yet, And
- 33:59Speaker 3: so Pakistan is trying to become the you know, the
- 34:03Speaker 3: new Oman. Here, the Iranians are quite skeptical of moving
- 34:09Speaker 3: the moving the brokering from Oman over to Pakistan. Pakistan,
- 34:14Speaker 3: Pakistani generals are and the Pakistani military in general are
- 34:19Speaker 3: are known like internationally as in a world of untrustworthy people,
- 34:24Speaker 3: like the least trustworthy people. So if you were trying
- 34:27Speaker 3: to pick some pick a trusted intermediary to negotiate these
- 34:33Speaker 3: talks with, and with an adversary who is already not
- 34:36Speaker 3: trustworthy because they have gone to war with you twice
- 34:39Speaker 3: in the middle of negotiations Pakistan doesn't raise your confidence
- 34:43Speaker 3: level that this is on the up and up. So well,
- 34:48Speaker 3: we'll see if Iran is like whatever, fine, whit coffs
- 34:52Speaker 3: already there, Sombad's beautiful this time of year. Pakistan apparently
- 34:57Speaker 3: is almost out of lng like the this and I
- 35:01Speaker 3: think the Arab Spring and other pro like. There was
- 35:06Speaker 3: this wave of protests in the early twenty tens around
- 35:08Speaker 3: the world. A significant and misunderstood or under understood role
- 35:14Speaker 3: in those protests was the spiking of energy and commodity
- 35:18Speaker 3: costs that flew out of the Great Financial Crisis of
- 35:21Speaker 3: two thousand and seven and eight. And because it made
- 35:25Speaker 3: bread and feel very expensive for people around the world,
- 35:27Speaker 3: and they went out to the streets. I think I
- 35:30Speaker 3: think we're going to see a lot of that in
- 35:33Speaker 3: the next couple of years. And Pakistan is a place
- 35:37Speaker 3: you could very easily see it, like this place that's
- 35:39Speaker 3: like always just kind of on on the brink, getting
- 35:43Speaker 3: pushed getting pushed over it. So anyway, yeah, so we'll
- 35:49Speaker 3: say if that, maybe maybe they'll allow Pakistan to be
- 35:51Speaker 3: the place.
- 35:52Speaker 4: Let's talk about a rock. This is Drop Site Reporting
- 35:55Speaker 4: and Bag Clears PMF. So the Popular Mobilization Forces to
- 35:59Speaker 4: defend themselves after a deadly strike on militia headquarters. This
- 36:04Speaker 4: decision you all wrote follows airstrikes on a PMF command headquarters.
- 36:08Speaker 3: So let's put up a fifteen for the context. Sorry
- 36:10Speaker 3: to jump around.
- 36:11Speaker 5: Yea shore rooms an on Bar province.
- 36:14Speaker 3: Oh yeah, so a fifteen. Yeah, so this was yesterday
- 36:17Speaker 3: or two day. This is Monday. Air strikes in Iraq
- 36:21Speaker 3: on Iran backed paramilitary alliance kill at least fifteen fighters.
- 36:26Speaker 3: So this is the US is basically an open war
- 36:30Speaker 3: with these Iranian allied Iraqi militias. But these militias are
- 36:36Speaker 3: not just freelance militias. They are a part of the
- 36:40Speaker 3: security service, the actual government security service. We can go
- 36:43Speaker 3: back to a tens as Emily was saying, the Iraqs
- 36:49Speaker 3: National Security councils. As Emily said, like, they're now authorizing
- 36:55Speaker 3: these military these militias.
- 37:00Speaker 6: Like US forces.
- 37:01Speaker 3: So that's state sanctioning of Iraqi aggression, not aggression. They
- 37:07Speaker 3: would call it defense because they were just fifteen of
- 37:10Speaker 3: them were just killed. It was always disproportionate, and when
- 37:13Speaker 3: you look at the numbers of people killed and wounded
- 37:16Speaker 3: on the other side versus US. But yeah, so the
- 37:21Speaker 3: green zone was completely evacuated. We need Iraqi airspace. We
- 37:26Speaker 3: invaded Iraq and spent trillions of dollars to like control it.
- 37:33Speaker 6: I didn't even think I knew this. Moz was telling me.
- 37:35Speaker 3: All of the oil proceeds from Iraq live in the
- 37:41Speaker 3: New York Federal Reserve, and we just send them pallets
- 37:44Speaker 3: of cash basically if we approve their budget, total colonial
- 37:49Speaker 3: structure there. Yet, despite that, they're shooting at us.
- 37:53Speaker 4: Yeah, despite all of the American troops that died over
- 37:56Speaker 4: the years, they're shooting at us. And now speak you
- 38:00Speaker 4: know which task and purpose. A eleven is reporting that
- 38:04Speaker 4: the Army's enlistment age has been raised to forty two.
- 38:09Speaker 4: They also eased marijuana restrictions, So that's huge.
- 38:13Speaker 6: How are you going to find somebody that's going to
- 38:16Speaker 6: pass that test? Yeah?
- 38:17Speaker 4: Now, I will say people are just like, does it
- 38:22Speaker 4: sound like Ukraine a little bit? I will say the
- 38:27Speaker 4: age limit for recruits being bumped from thirty five to
- 38:30Speaker 4: forty two in twenty twenty six, that actually might be
- 38:33Speaker 4: long overdue, just given how much healthier people are able
- 38:36Speaker 4: to stay into their forties. I don't know if it's
- 38:39Speaker 4: related to a recruitment crisis because of this ongoing war.
- 38:41Speaker 5: May well be, we'll learn more about it.
- 38:43Speaker 4: But it also like people are staying much more healthy
- 38:45Speaker 4: into their their forties.
- 38:47Speaker 5: Things, so all kinds of different things.
- 38:48Speaker 6: Manosphere, keeping people fit. That's service.
- 38:51Speaker 5: Yep, that's right, it's all. It's all the bros.
- 38:54Speaker 6: And let's do it.
- 38:54Speaker 3: Let's jump to eight thirteen real quick, because that relates
- 38:57Speaker 3: to this Iraq conflict, the raq Us conflict.
- 39:02Speaker 6: It's a VO, so you can just roll A thirteen.
- 39:05Speaker 3: This is an FPV first person you know, view drone
- 39:09Speaker 3: that is attacking Camp Victory, which is the US base
- 39:14Speaker 3: right off of the Bagdad Airport. And what's what's unique
- 39:20Speaker 3: about this one is that it identifies this like extremely
- 39:24Speaker 3: expensive radar attacks, it destroys it and then keeps going.
- 39:31Speaker 3: So hits that or I guess gets footage of. It's
- 39:37Speaker 3: like there's I guess there's two of them, and one
- 39:39Speaker 3: of them gets footage and then then they go They're like,
- 39:42Speaker 3: all right, what else should we blow up while we're here?
- 39:45Speaker 3: This is mostly evacuated base, and so there they find
- 39:51Speaker 3: a helicopter and boom there goes like an extremely expensive helicopter.
- 39:57Speaker 6: Noticed that they blurred that out.
- 39:58Speaker 3: Apparently what they blurred out is the they I guess
- 40:01Speaker 3: they maybe they realized in post production. They had blown
- 40:04Speaker 3: up a medical evac helicopter, which is less cool for them.
- 40:10Speaker 3: You know, they're still happy to destroy any you know,
- 40:13Speaker 3: military hardware that we have, but I think they would
- 40:17Speaker 3: prefer get to get one of those like helicopter gunships.
- 40:21Speaker 3: And then probably somebody was as they're like editing, like
- 40:23Speaker 3: oh shoot, I think this is an evac medical evac helicopter.
- 40:27Speaker 3: But either way, the point is the Iraqis are just
- 40:32Speaker 3: making mince meat of our hardware that we've that we've
- 40:35Speaker 3: left behind because there was a ceasefire that was agreed
- 40:40Speaker 3: to with the militias so that we could evacuate these
- 40:42Speaker 3: bases of personnel. And then right at right, I don't
- 40:46Speaker 3: even know if we announced that we were ending the ceasefire.
- 40:48Speaker 3: That's when we bombed these officials in in our province.
- 40:52Speaker 3: Classic US is like.
- 40:55Speaker 6: Oh ceasefire, did we say ceasefire?
- 40:57Speaker 3: We meant you cease fire at us so that we
- 40:59Speaker 3: can leave the base and then we kill you.
- 41:02Speaker 6: And so that's that.
- 41:04Speaker 3: I think duplicity contributed to the broader Iraqi government saying
- 41:09Speaker 3: you know what, go ahead, you want to you want
- 41:12Speaker 3: to hit these these creeps, hit them.
- 41:14Speaker 5: Let's let's wrap on this news.
- 41:17Speaker 4: This is going to be a fourteen senior House Democrats
- 41:20Speaker 4: telling Axios that they are on war powers resolution is
- 41:24Speaker 4: set to pass. Quote most if not all, of the
- 41:26Speaker 4: four defectors are expected to flip and vote for the
- 41:29Speaker 4: measure this time because they were quote subject to intense
- 41:33Speaker 4: criticism from the party's grass roots.
- 41:37Speaker 5: What do you make of that?
- 41:38Speaker 8: So?
- 41:38Speaker 3: I think that means that Breaking Points viewers have basically
- 41:42Speaker 3: bullied these these Democrats who are pro war into supporting
- 41:46Speaker 3: this war powers resolution. And the way you know that
- 41:49Speaker 3: it very likely has the votes to pass in the
- 41:53Speaker 3: House is that Jeffreys and Gregory Meeks are now saying that.
- 41:58Speaker 6: They want to postpone it.
- 42:01Speaker 3: And as I've been reporting from the very beginning, Democrats
- 42:04Speaker 3: secretly like this war because they think it hurts Trump
- 42:11Speaker 3: and they think, you know, it helps their ideological project
- 42:14Speaker 3: of helping Israel and degrading Iran. Like a lot of
- 42:18Speaker 3: Democrats support that ideological and imperial project, and all Democrats
- 42:24Speaker 3: want Trump hurt. This is obviously hurting Trump. And so
- 42:28Speaker 3: now that the House is on the precipice of a
- 42:31Speaker 3: historic war powers resolution vote that looks like it would
- 42:35Speaker 3: now pass on the floor and put real restrictions on Trump. Now,
- 42:39Speaker 3: what the Senate does and whether Trump abides by it
- 42:41Speaker 3: is a different question, But having the House go on
- 42:43Speaker 3: record against the war would be a consequential act.
- 42:48Speaker 6: So now that we're on the.
- 42:49Speaker 3: Cusp of that happening, Meeks and Jefferies are like, you
- 42:52Speaker 3: know what, maybe we'll pause this and come back in
- 42:56Speaker 3: like mid April and put it on the floor in
- 42:58Speaker 3: like three weeks because there's a recess coming up. So
- 43:02Speaker 3: Meeks has basically today and tomorrow to man up and
- 43:07Speaker 3: put this thing on the floor. Otherwise, otherwise you have
- 43:13Speaker 3: no choice but to believe what I've been telling you
- 43:16Speaker 3: that Democrats secretly want this war to continue. And what
- 43:22Speaker 3: does that mean. That means not only do they find
- 43:24Speaker 3: with the Iranian, Iraqi, Kurdish, like all Israeli, all the
- 43:31Speaker 3: people who are dying as a result of it, all
- 43:34Speaker 3: of the pain that you're suffering and will suffer economically
- 43:38Speaker 3: as a result of it. Now, in the weeks ahead,
- 43:41Speaker 3: months ahead, and years ahead, Democrats.
- 43:44Speaker 6: Are okay with that because they might pick up an
- 43:47Speaker 6: extra couple seats in the midterms. What are they going
- 43:50Speaker 6: to do with those seats?
- 43:52Speaker 5: Nothing to go to war?
- 43:57Speaker 6: Yeah, they were already taking the house. Probably.
- 44:01Speaker 4: I like the Massy idea of introducing a declaration of
- 44:03Speaker 4: war and seeing exactly who's going to vote for it.
- 44:05Speaker 4: I would love that to happen. That would be like kryptonite.
- 44:09Speaker 4: That would be the worst post. Don't think that would pass. Yeah,
- 44:15Speaker 4: and let's move on to Lebanon, Ryan, because new developments
- 44:18Speaker 4: we can start rolling.
- 44:19Speaker 5: B one.
- 44:20Speaker 4: This is footage from tire and Man. We're looking at
- 44:25Speaker 4: civilian neighborhoods here. If you're listening to this, you're just
- 44:28Speaker 4: seeing smoke rise from what does clearly.
- 44:30Speaker 6: Appear to be five thousand year old city.
- 44:32Speaker 4: Yeah, it does clearly appear to be a civilian neighborhood
- 44:37Speaker 4: right in the middle of what just looks like houses
- 44:39Speaker 4: and office buildings and the like.
- 44:42Speaker 5: Well, what we learned.
- 44:44Speaker 4: Yesterday B two is that Israel's defense minister said the
- 44:48Speaker 4: military will occupy southern Lebanon up to the Tawny River,
- 44:51Speaker 4: marking the first clear statement of intent to seize the territory.
- 44:55Speaker 4: Reuters reported Ryan, what is that? I mean, what are
- 45:00Speaker 4: we looking at here? As the Iran operation continues, Lebanon
- 45:05Speaker 4: being in the shadow of that, I suppose Israel feels
- 45:09Speaker 4: as though it's the time is ripe to move in.
- 45:12Speaker 3: Well, quote unquote, Greater Israel has always included, at a
- 45:17Speaker 3: bare minimum, all of this Lebanese land up to the
- 45:21Speaker 3: Latani River, and for many, you know, much beyond that
- 45:26Speaker 3: as well. It is you know, it's just preposterous, Like
- 45:32Speaker 3: it's twenty twenty six, like the world has kind of moved.
- 45:37Speaker 3: We thought beyond this kind of thing where you just
- 45:40Speaker 3: you take what you can. We are constantly told Israel
- 45:46Speaker 3: has a right to exist. Don't you believe Israel has
- 45:48Speaker 3: a right to exist? Does Lebanon have a right to exist?
- 45:50Speaker 3: Does it like Syria have a right to exist? Like,
- 45:54Speaker 3: it's not just that Israel, like every other country, has
- 45:58Speaker 3: a right to exist. Israel, unique among all other countries,
- 46:02Speaker 3: has a right to exist, and the rest of your
- 46:04Speaker 3: existence is negotiable based on Israeli impulses. Now, the problem
- 46:11Speaker 3: when you put up B three here, the problem for
- 46:13Speaker 3: Israel's is the people don't.
- 46:15Speaker 6: Want them there.
- 46:16Speaker 3: It's the Lebanese are still resisting them. So there's this
- 46:22Speaker 3: quote that was circulating, how can we as Christians in
- 46:24Speaker 3: this area not be with hisbela?
- 46:26Speaker 5: Yeah, this was from the Telegraph.
- 46:28Speaker 4: I had this Telegraph had an article that was actually
- 46:32Speaker 4: titled Christians and Hesbela unite against quote Epstein Empire and
- 46:37Speaker 4: southern Lebanon is mostly Shia territory, right, Ryan.
- 46:39Speaker 6: Epstein Empire. That's even better than Epstein class.
- 46:42Speaker 4: Well, they're taking straight from Iran, the Epstein Empire, Epstein class,
- 46:47Speaker 4: Epstein propaganda. Although this one is sort of a gimme, yeah,
- 46:52Speaker 4: sort of a give me as far as propaganda goes.
- 46:55Speaker 4: But Christians and I mean, well, actually, I'm sure it's
- 46:59Speaker 4: true of a lot of Muslims in Lebanon as well.
- 47:02Speaker 4: There's previously this tension, or not previously, but kind of
- 47:05Speaker 4: always the simmering tension where even if you're Shia Lebanese Christian,
- 47:10Speaker 4: you have a little like there's friction with Hesbela among
- 47:14Speaker 4: a lot of Lebanese who say you're being controlled by Iran,
- 47:17Speaker 4: you're a puppet of Iran.
- 47:19Speaker 5: Well, guess what happens when.
- 47:22Speaker 4: These attacks start ractioning up, You once again risk driving
- 47:27Speaker 4: people closer to Hesbolah. And I guess as an effect
- 47:32Speaker 4: of that, closer to Iran, to the extent that Hesbela
- 47:35Speaker 4: and Iran are connected.
- 47:37Speaker 3: Yeah, And so far the Israelis have found Southern Israel
- 47:42Speaker 3: a little bit more difficult to take. So sorry, Southern Lebanon,
- 47:46Speaker 3: Northern Israel, as they would like to see it a
- 47:49Speaker 3: little more difficult to take than they thought, you know,
- 47:50Speaker 3: they thought that they had completely annihilated Hesbelah.
- 47:54Speaker 6: It's one more blow to their.
- 47:57Speaker 3: Their strategic appro coach that suggests that they're they're just
- 48:02Speaker 3: one round of bombing and one round of assassinations away from,
- 48:07Speaker 3: you know, the paradise of peace in which in which
- 48:10Speaker 3: they are able to just seize other countries territory and
- 48:13Speaker 3: just keep it indefinitely. Turns out people are pretty pretty
- 48:21Speaker 3: attached to there, to the land that they've been living
- 48:24Speaker 3: on for many thousands of years, and so that that's
- 48:28Speaker 3: going to be a that's gonna be a problem for
- 48:30Speaker 3: them because they've so far not been able to dislodge as.
- 48:35Speaker 4: Blow and Ryan, there's this Haretz report that we want
- 48:38Speaker 4: to talk about as well, before the starvation case. So
- 48:41Speaker 4: the headline from Heratz is Palestinian minor who died in
- 48:44Speaker 4: Israeli prison was quote likely starved, but the case was closed.
- 48:48Speaker 5: This just happened.
- 48:49Speaker 3: Yesterday, Yeah, and I want to highlight this because Jasper
- 48:52Speaker 3: Nathaniel had had written about this boy who was in
- 48:56Speaker 3: prison in detention, not charge arged with anything. And his
- 49:01Speaker 3: roommate was the American child who Jasper had been reporting
- 49:08Speaker 3: on relentlessly to get him, to get him and eventually
- 49:11Speaker 3: got him released.
- 49:12Speaker 6: He was accused of throwing stones.
- 49:14Speaker 3: If you remember that kid's case, and that kid is
- 49:18Speaker 3: That kid is now free. But he told Jasper the
- 49:22Speaker 3: story of his roommate who was in horrific condition and
- 49:27Speaker 3: died in prison without ever being charged or any explanation
- 49:31Speaker 3: of why he was even in prison. And now now
- 49:35Speaker 3: this judge has said that that likely is what happened.
- 49:38Speaker 3: And reading what reading what happened to this boy in prison,
- 49:44Speaker 3: I think we shouldn't let his We shouldn't let his
- 49:49Speaker 3: life pass without recognition of it. So Muhammed was Muhammed
- 49:54Speaker 3: Imberheim was. He was the sixteen year old American that
- 49:56Speaker 3: was with him. We can put this next element up
- 49:59Speaker 3: on the screen, this seventeen year old Walid Ahmad, who
- 50:03Speaker 3: was his kind of cell mate. And so he writes
- 50:07Speaker 3: here one of his salmates, seventeen year old Walid Ahmad,
- 50:11Speaker 3: whom he quickly grew close to, was visibly sicker and
- 50:13Speaker 3: weaker than the others. When Muhammad arrived Skin and Bones.
- 50:17Speaker 3: Muhammad told me he had severe diarrhea, couldn't keep food down,
- 50:20Speaker 3: and shivered constantly. His skin was covered in scabies, which
- 50:24Speaker 3: was ripping through the prison, leaving all the boys infested
- 50:27Speaker 3: and scratching themselves raw. The boys, worried about Walid, begged
- 50:31Speaker 3: the guards to let him see a doctor.
- 50:32Speaker 6: They refused.
- 50:34Speaker 3: On March twenty second, twelve days after Muhammad arrived at
- 50:37Speaker 3: the prison, Walid collapsed during their daily trip outside the cell,
- 50:41Speaker 3: falling face first and splitting open the bridge of his nose.
- 50:45Speaker 3: A pool of blood formed around him. The boys rushed
- 50:48Speaker 3: to help and were pepper sprayed.
- 50:50Speaker 6: Boys went to.
- 50:51Speaker 3: Help this boy who'd fallen on his face and were
- 50:53Speaker 3: pepper sprayed, which means Walid, with whatever consciousness he still
- 50:57Speaker 3: had left, was also pepper sprayed.
- 51:00Speaker 6: He goes on a pool of blood formed around him. Sorry,
- 51:04Speaker 6: Mohammed said.
- 51:05Speaker 3: Whalleid remained conscious for about two minutes, looking around scared,
- 51:09Speaker 3: before losing consciousness again. A guard then arrived and Dragulead's motionless,
- 51:15Speaker 3: bodily body across the floor by his hair. So this
- 51:20Speaker 3: is they saw a seventeen year old child smash his
- 51:25Speaker 3: face on the pavement due to malnutrition that they were
- 51:30Speaker 3: forcing on him. Pepper sprayed him and then dragged him
- 51:35Speaker 3: away by his hair, and then so Jasper goes on,
- 51:39Speaker 3: if we can put the next one up. Four days later,
- 51:42Speaker 3: the boys learned that w Lead, who was never charged
- 51:45Speaker 3: with a crime, was dead. Back home, this is in
- 51:48Speaker 3: the US, Mohammad's family heard that a teenage boy had
- 51:52Speaker 3: died in Meguido and spent an entire unbearable day trying
- 51:56Speaker 3: to determine whether it was him. Instead, they learned it
- 52:00Speaker 3: was a boy from a neighboring town. An Israeli surgeon
- 52:03Speaker 3: who observed while leads autopsy reported that the seventeen year
- 52:07Speaker 3: old showed signs of prolonged starvation, extreme weight loss, and
- 52:10Speaker 3: muscle wasting, along with untreated colitis and scabies. A prison
- 52:15Speaker 3: medical report also revealed that he had complained to the
- 52:18Speaker 3: prison about inadequate food. Since at least December. His body
- 52:22Speaker 3: has still not been returned to his family. That's from
- 52:25Speaker 3: Jasper Nathaniel Substack a while ago. The news now in
- 52:29Speaker 3: Haretz is that a judge is basically confirming all of this,
- 52:34Speaker 3: that this is all accurate and according to Haretz, Israel
- 52:38Speaker 3: is still keeping the body. Remember that Israel kept bombing
- 52:44Speaker 3: Gaza and had refused to move to the next phase
- 52:48Speaker 3: of the ceasefire because there was one remain of an
- 52:54Speaker 3: idea of soldier that they had not been able to find,
- 52:57Speaker 3: and that Hamas said they weren't looking for because Amasa
- 52:59Speaker 3: is like, we think he's over there, you control that area.
- 53:01Speaker 3: They went weeks without even looking for it because they
- 53:03Speaker 3: didn't want that body back, because.
- 53:04Speaker 6: They wanted to continue the attacks. But the point is.
- 53:09Speaker 3: The priority that they placed on getting those remains back,
- 53:14Speaker 3: setting aside all of the depravity that the reason from
- 53:18Speaker 3: beginning to end here they still won't even give his
- 53:20Speaker 3: body back.
- 53:21Speaker 5: And the case was closed and the judge.
- 53:23Speaker 3: Says, we don't have enough evidence here. Likely looks like
- 53:28Speaker 3: he was starved to death, but the autopsy is not
- 53:33Speaker 3: definitive enough, so we're going to close the case.
- 53:35Speaker 4: I mean, it's we covered, what was it just last week?
- 53:39Speaker 4: The rape case that was there also wasn't enough evidence.
- 53:44Speaker 4: There was CCTV footage that was you know, you watched that.
- 53:48Speaker 4: You pretty much know what's going on there, and a
- 53:51Speaker 4: medical examination yea.
- 53:54Speaker 3: And before we departed this segment I did want that
- 53:58Speaker 3: you can put up. I did want to just pay
- 54:03Speaker 3: pay our respects to Assam schabat drop site, our dropsite
- 54:08Speaker 3: colleague who one year ago yesterday was assassinated by the Israelis.
- 54:13Speaker 3: I remember we were actually on the show together around
- 54:17Speaker 3: the time he was killed, and when I left the
- 54:19Speaker 3: studio getting getting the news that he'd been he'd been killed.
- 54:24Speaker 3: They targeted him, they put his put his picture up,
- 54:28Speaker 3: they said they were going to kill him. They hunted him,
- 54:32Speaker 3: They flew a drone over top of him, dropped a
- 54:35Speaker 3: explosive device on him, split his body apart. Yeah, he
- 54:41Speaker 3: had his whole life ahead of him. Extremely talented journalists.
- 54:47Speaker 3: We collected his stories onto one page that you can
- 54:51Speaker 3: go check over it over at drop site. So I
- 54:55Speaker 3: didn't want that, didn't want his anniversary of his assassination
- 54:59Speaker 3: to go without without remarking on that
