- 0:17Aaron Judge and saying that he can't win the big game, Michael

- 2:23I, I, I will say this guys and I, I wanted to, to figure out
- 2:27what's going on in the world. Jabba, what's going on?
- 2:29What is going on over there in Nebraska?
- 2:31Is it hot, Is it cold, Is it humid?
- 2:34Is it rainy? Hey, it could be snowing in
- 2:36Nebraska. I've never been there.
- 2:39No, we've got humidity is is at its peak point right now,
- 2:43usually around the 4th of July. You usually get there actually
- 2:47not too bad today, but we've been, we've been 90s about 90%
- 2:52humidity. So we've we've been sticky,
- 2:54that's for sure. It's been sticky here in Long
- 2:57Island, New York. I can't stand this weather.
- 2:59And yesterday and I, we will get into yesterday and the
- 3:02commitment of Preston Carey, which by the way, it was
- 3:06fantastic. It was a great gathering for all
- 3:09the fans out there. That's never been to a
- 3:11commitment. And, and it it's crazy because
- 3:14how many people actually show up to event like this.
- 3:17And it was superbly put together by Kelly and obviously her
- 3:23entourage of, of people, Liz, it was just fantastic.
- 3:26It was very well put together. The video that was put up by
- 3:30Jackie Robertson was sensational and Ben Carey and even Preston,
- 3:34it was really sensational. Congratulations to Preston and
- 3:38we will let every fan know if you haven't checked out all of
- 3:41the social media and on YouTube or on any of the social medias
- 3:46that were posting up where Preston is going.
- 3:48Well, we will give you the information in just a few
- 3:50moments. But it was very well put
- 3:53together. It was at the castle in
- 3:54Huntington, NY. I, I don't, I look at that place
- 3:58because I've been to that place many, many times.
- 4:00I've DJ, I've hosted events, golf tournaments with CC
- 4:04Sabathia, AJ Burnett, Plaxico Bores.
- 4:08So many great athletes have gone and played golf over there and
- 4:11they are sensationally built when it comes to the, the guest
- 4:16and, and, and the great venue that they have over there.
- 4:19So I, I loved it over there and it was to me, what I notice
- 4:23about that place is when you go in and you, you, you get to the
- 4:28castle, you got to go through these bushes and it, it, it's
- 4:32just amazing how it's just very well built and you just like
- 4:35kind of like squeak right through.
- 4:37So it was, it was a sensational, sensational event.
- 4:41And I want to give a shout out to Ben Carey because Ben is a
- 4:44guy that is 100% for his son. And, and a lot of these kids, a
- 4:48lot of their parents, you know, obviously they love their kids
- 4:52and they want their kids to succeed.
- 4:54But there are parents out there worried about how much money
- 4:57their kids going to get, how much money they're going to get
- 4:59out of the deals or where they're going to go when it
- 5:02comes to the colleges that they choose.
- 5:04Ben is not like that. He really isn't.
- 5:06He wanted to make sure that his son picked the right school and
- 5:09put himself, his son in the right position to succeed.
- 5:12And by the way, if nobody knows, I'm going to give you the
- 5:16announcement. Yes, Preston Carey decided out
- 5:19of Rutgers Florida, which is the Gators.
- 5:23If you want to know what it is, whatever Florida team that is,
- 5:25Auburn and Georgia, the Georgia Bulldogs, he chose to go to
- 5:30Georgia. And congratulations to Preston.
- 5:33It was great. It really was a sensational and
- 5:36I want to give a shout out to Kelly and Liz.
- 5:39These two ladies worked really, really hard putting this
- 5:41together and I was just happy to be a part of it and be be the
- 5:45host of the events. And that has a lot to do with
- 5:48obviously been asking me and putting me in the position to
- 5:53host the event and and announce, you know, the introductions on
- 5:58where Preston was going. And we had a lot of people
- 6:01varsity varsity high school was there.
- 6:03They were doing their broadcast. All right, it's varsity
- 6:05speaking. What was MSG varsity, MSGMSG
- 6:07varsity was there. They were bunch of people.
- 6:10Newsday was there, Channel 12 News was there, Peter Schwartz
- 6:13was everybody. You name it, every media person
- 6:16in the world when it comes to the big media conglomerates, I'm
- 6:22trying to choke on my words. All the big media conglomerates
- 6:25were there yesterday and I've been very, very tired.
- 6:28I know a lot of people. If you watch this show, I got a
- 6:31lot of energy. I'm going to put all the energy
- 6:33into the show. But I didn't get home till late
- 6:35last night. I didn't go to bed till 2:00 in
- 6:37the morning. I had work this morning and
- 6:39look, I'm here and I'm taking care of other things that I'm
- 6:42going going through medical problems and all that other
- 6:45stuff. I don't want to get into it on
- 6:47the show, but it was a sensational since sensational
- 6:50event. And I want to give a shout out
- 6:52to the Carey family and congratulations to Preston Carey
- 6:56for announcing where he was going and, and doing it in front
- 6:59of his friends, his family and the media.
- 7:02It's not easy doing it for an 18 year old kid And, and I don't
- 7:05know if anybody's checked out. You don't know who Preston Carey
- 7:08is. He's 6 foot 5-6 foot six, 300
- 7:11lbs of brute strength and muscle.
- 7:13I, I did call him the beast. I don't know what his nickname
- 7:16is. I don't know what people call
- 7:17him, but it's a sensational, sensational specimen.
- 7:21He is a sensational specimen. So congratulations to the the
- 7:24Carey family. Speedy what?
- 7:25Would he picked he picked a good school though.
- 7:28The best the. Best.
- 7:29So he's he, he's he can go to American Whiskey anytime because
- 7:33we are a Georgia bar. There you go.
- 7:35There you go. I, I, I remember him saying
- 7:37that. So I have to talk to Ben.
- 7:40Maybe we do an event and when obviously during the season
- 7:45we'll do something at at American Whiskey for the Georgia
- 7:48Bulldogs and and promote pressed in and do do our show live at
- 7:53American Whiskey for all the Georgia Bulldogs fans.
- 7:55I think they would really enjoy it and and some of the Long
- 7:58Islanders wanted to go and check out the game at one of those
- 8:00bars where you get a chance to watch just the Georgia Bulldogs
- 8:05and their games. You can go to American Whiskey
- 8:07in Manhattan, NY and Jabba's one of the owners of the of the
- 8:11facility. So it'll be fun.
- 8:13And I think that would be a great idea doing a live show for
- 8:16the Georgia Bulldogs, who is going to be one of the top three
- 8:19favorites of winning the national championship.
- 8:20So I'm not going to say I don't know how much time Preston's
- 8:24going to have as a freshman this coming season, but the fact that
- 8:28he is going to be on the Georgia Bulldogs, give him two more
- 8:30years. This kid could be a super
- 8:33superstar for the not only as a professional NFL player, but a
- 8:38college NCAA champion possibly too, before he even gets on the
- 8:42field and plays a significant amount of minutes.
- 8:44So very happy to be there for Preston.
- 8:47He is a great kid and he has a great calm personality.
- 8:51That's what you want to see with these athletes.
- 8:52Some of these, some of these athletes, we've got them on the
- 8:55show, they're stuck up. Their personality suck.
- 8:57Preston, it was not like that. He was so eager to to make that
- 9:02announcement in front of his friends and his family.
- 9:04And then not only that, the way he handled it, it's not easy
- 9:07handling something like that as an 18 year old.
- 9:10And the way he handled it was sensational.
- 9:11So congratulations to the Carey family.
- 9:14Preston Carey. I said that about six or seven
- 9:16times and I'm going to say it once again, congratulations and
- 9:19very well done. It was very well put together.
- 9:22Congratulations to Kelly and Liz putting on put on putting a
- 9:25great obviously levelled show, I would say committee over there
- 9:31at the castle. So congratulations to all the
- 9:34family and friends that joined us over there at the castle
- 9:37yesterday afternoon and night. He Rappaport reports that the
- 9:41Dolphins have traded for well cheated Jalen Ramsey and Jonnu
- 9:46Smith for a seventh round pick to the Steelers.
- 9:50The Dolphins reunite with Mika Fitzpatrick and also get a fifth
- 9:55round pick back in the deal. The Steelers will take on a 26.6
- 10:00million of the last of last year of the last year of Ramsey's
- 10:04deal while the Dolphins will take on 1.5 million of the deal.
- 10:09Adam Schefner reports that this deal has also added a one year
- 10:13$12 million extension with Jonnu Smith for his deal.
- 10:17Mika Fitzpatrick's contract has two years remaining on it with a
- 10:22cap hit of 15.5 million this year and 17.6 million next year.
- 10:28Both players have been Pro Bowlers in four out of the five
- 10:32of the last five seasons. After the trade, the Steelers
- 10:36have $21.8 million of cap space, tenth lowest in the NFL, while
- 10:41the Dolphins have just 13.7 million, fifth lowest in the
- 10:46NFL. Well, there's a lot to get into
- 10:48this trade and I think I think he was very evenly traded.
- 10:52I, I do believe Mika Fitzpatrick is the best player in this
- 10:55trade. Now, Jonnu Smith had a great
- 10:58season last year with the Dolphins.
- 10:59We'll see what he does over there with Aaron, Aaron Rodgers.
- 11:03We'll see what Aaron Rodgers shows up this year.
- 11:05Is he the team player, Aaron Rodgers or he's a me player,
- 11:08Aaron Rodgers? Because when he's a me player,
- 11:11Aaron Rodgers, he's definitely not the same player.
- 11:14What I do see with this trade and the reason why I think it's
- 11:17evenly matched. I think the problem last year
- 11:20for the Pittsburgh Steelers was the corner positions.
- 11:23They have Porter, who is one of the young, young, some heroes
- 11:27over there with the Pittsburgh Steelers, but they're secondary,
- 11:31especially on the other side of the field was not too good.
- 11:34Now, Mika Fitzpatrick's been one of the better safeties in the
- 11:37league since he's moved from the cornerback position to the
- 11:39safety position. He has not moved back to the
- 11:42corner position and the one weakness the the well, they have
- 11:46a bunch of weaknesses on the defensive side of the ball.
- 11:48But for the Miami Dolphins, it's one of their biggest weaknesses
- 11:52defensively for the last couple of years as at the free safety
- 11:55position. Now you have Mika.
- 11:57Mika can move inside, he can move outside.
- 12:00He can obviously defend multiple, multiple players.
- 12:03You can put them at the corner position if need be.
- 12:06I think obviously Mika Fitzpatrick is a perfect fit for
- 12:10a Dolphins organization that's been craving for a superstar
- 12:14player. Now, Mika Fitzpatrick is from
- 12:15the New Jersey area and a guy that is always wanted to go play
- 12:19in Florida. This is a kid that has a
- 12:21tremendous amount of ability play for the Alabama Crimson
- 12:25Tide. He is a Nick Saban guy.
- 12:28We all know what he is as a defensive player, but he's just
- 12:31as good on the field as he is off the field.
- 12:34He is a team leader. It's something that I don't
- 12:37think Jalen Ramsey is. He is not a team leader.
- 12:39He's a me player. We've seen him over the years.
- 12:42He came from the Jacksonville Jaguars.
- 12:44He went to the Rams. He did win a championship with
- 12:46the Rams. And then over the last couple of
- 12:48years he's been floating around in the NFL, couldn't find a
- 12:51home. And everywhere he goes, there's
- 12:54a problem. On the football fields.
- 12:55Everywhere he goes, there's a problem.
- 12:57You know, when he's on in a magazine or he's in a newspaper,
- 13:00he has been a Jackass. Now him going to Pittsburgh,
- 13:05he's going to have to learn how to keep his mouth shut.
- 13:07Now, Mike Tomlin has been a player's coach and we've seen
- 13:10the guys that Mike Tomlin has coached over the years, One of
- 13:13them, Brown, he's been in trouble with the law numerous
- 13:16amount of times. Le'veon Bell, another one who's
- 13:18done some disgusting things off the field, which we've heard
- 13:22under Mike Tomlin. There has been guys over the
- 13:25years when we've heard from the Pittsburgh Steelers.
- 13:27And I think if there's anybody I can handle, Aaron Rodgers, it's
- 13:31Mike Tomlin. But why?
- 13:32Because Mike Tommen let's everybody do what they want to
- 13:35do on the football field as long as they win.
- 13:38But the problem with the Pittsburgh Steelers over the
- 13:39last couple years, they can't get over the hump.
- 13:41They can't get out of the first round.
- 13:43This is 8 years, right? Am I, I'm mistaken?
- 13:458 years in a row where they've gone into the playoffs and get
- 13:49and been eliminated in the first round.
- 13:51The last time they ever won in the second round or later in the
- 13:54playoffs, they won. They beat the Chiefs by getting
- 13:556 field goals. Well, who cares about that?
- 13:58The fact is right now, Mika Fitzpatrick is the name in this
- 14:01trade because if Miami wants to challenge Buffalo in this
- 14:07division, it's not going to be the New York Jets.
- 14:08I know Jet fans want to believe that.
- 14:10I am a Jet fan. I'm not going to sit here and
- 14:12try to beat around the Bush. Now, Justin Fields has an
- 14:15opportunity this year to show people why he should be a
- 14:18starter in the NFL. But I still think they're a
- 14:20young team. You have a new coach.
- 14:22Aaron Glenn's going to be sensational coach in the AFC
- 14:25East. He's played in the AFC East.
- 14:26He was drafted by the New York Jets.
- 14:28So I believe he's going to be a good coach, but it's going to
- 14:30take a little while for him to implicate his offense and his
- 14:33defense to this team. I really believe Miami is the
- 14:36only team that could challenge the Buffalo Bills for this
- 14:41division. Now, to attack a Viola has to
- 14:43stay healthy. And you can't trust that if he
- 14:46goes down, you're going to trust the guy that used to be the
- 14:48starting quarterback and draft pick by the New York Jets.
- 14:51And you know what I'm talking about, Speedy.
- 14:53Mr. Zach Wilson. Zach Wilson, Mr. Mama Lover.
- 14:56So we all know that we don't want to see Zach Wilson play.
- 15:00Now, obviously they're coaches on a hockey seat and I do
- 15:03believe he's going to be on a hot seat this year.
- 15:05McDaniels is is a guy that obviously is young.
- 15:09He's Mighty Mouse. That's what they call him in
- 15:10Miami. Love to watch him go running off
- 15:13off the field, you know, during halves.
- 15:15I love his speeches. I love when he steps on a
- 15:17stepping stool and he he shows his personality on a mic.
- 15:21The problem right now is Miami needs to win.
- 15:23Their ownership wants to see wins.
- 15:25They want to see playoff wins. They have not done that over the
- 15:28last couple of years with Mike McDaniel there.
- 15:29Now if Mike McDaniel figures about what the defense is, which
- 15:34has been a big problem for the team for the last two seasons,
- 15:37how many defensive coordinators have they had in the last four
- 15:40years? It's been horrible for the
- 15:41Dolphins. Their offense will find a way.
- 15:43They have the ability with obviously Hill there and and and
- 15:47the weapons that they have over there as far as far as their
- 15:50running game is going to be even better than it was last year.
- 15:52They're going to be fast-paced and they're going to be one of
- 15:55the better offenses in the league.
- 15:56The defensive side of the ball, you need to add that secondary
- 15:59help. Mika Fitzpatrick could be play
- 16:01multiple positions and he is the kind of guy that you you give
- 16:04him a scheme, you tell him what you want him to do.
- 16:06He's going to go out there and he's going to lead the troops.
- 16:08I don't think Jalen Ramsey is that type of player.
- 16:10Now, Jonnu Smith was never going to be resigned by the Miami
- 16:15Dolphins. I believe that Miami was going
- 16:17to do whatever they can to put him in a trade so they can get a
- 16:20specific player of their of their pickings.
- 16:23I believe Mika Fitzpatrick was a player that the Dolphins have
- 16:26been looking at for the last two seasons.
- 16:28They couldn't get him at the trade deadline last year and
- 16:30Mika Fitzpatrick, I believe out of Pittsburgh, he did get his
- 16:33extension. What was it 2 1/2 years ago?
- 16:36I, I do believe that Mika did not like it in the Pittsburgh.
- 16:39He really wasn't the cornerstone in that defense ever since they
- 16:42brought Porter back, especially at young Porter, Porter junior
- 16:45who has taken over as their lead secondary guy.
- 16:48So I, I do believe Jalen Ramsey is a guy that wants to try to
- 16:52win another Super Bowl. The one thing I could say about
- 16:54Pittsburgh that I could say that they're going to be different
- 16:58this year is the way they're going to pace the game
- 17:00offensively to the defense, defensive side of the ball.
- 17:02Their defense is still going to be their number one priority.
- 17:05Their defense is still going to be elite no matter if Mika
- 17:08Fitzpatrick's there or Jalen Ramsey's there.
- 17:10I, I the problem is, is what Aaron Rodgers is going to show
- 17:14up. Like I just said, that is the
- 17:16question. And what where's the running
- 17:18game coming from? The Harris is not there anymore.
- 17:21Now they're going to they drafted a running back in the
- 17:24later rounds this past year in the draft.
- 17:26They also have Jalen Warren. Who did they extend them in the
- 17:30offseason? They did extend them.
- 17:32What was it 2 years, a two year deal?
- 17:34Jalen Warren when he does play, he plays the majority, the
- 17:37majority of the 1st to 3rd downs.
- 17:40I I think Harris was used not right for the Pittsburgh
- 17:43Steelers and that's why the Pittsburgh Steelers decided to
- 17:46part ways in the offseason with him.
- 17:48I do believe Warren is going to be used a lot.
- 17:50Warren fought injury all season last year and the year before
- 17:53that. If the Pittsburgh Steelers plan
- 17:56to make the playoffs and make a run this year, they're going to
- 17:59have to have a healthy Aaron Rodgers and a guy that's going
- 18:02to have to step back and be more of a team player, not all me
- 18:06player. And and again, going back to
- 18:08that, I don't know if you're going to expect that by Aaron
- 18:10Rodgers. Donnie Smith is a perfect fit
- 18:12for the Pittsburgh Steelers because now the I what I believe
- 18:16Pittsburgh is going to do this year is they're going to use a
- 18:19dual threat tight end offense. That's what they're going to do.
- 18:22A lot of teams are doing it now in the NFL.
- 18:25We've heard Aaron Glenn wants to do that with the New York Jets.
- 18:28We all know that the the teams like the New England Patriots
- 18:31were teams that really brought this and implicated this to the
- 18:35the NFL with Bill Belichick and O'Brien.
- 18:37I expect a lot of teams in the NFL to do that this year.
- 18:41And I think Johnny Smith is a dangerous factor if he can play
- 18:44like he did when Miami. Now remember, Pittsburgh don't
- 18:47have the weapons. Miami does not.
- 18:49They don't have Waddle, they don't have Hill, they don't have
- 18:52the speed that Miami has. But what they do have is they
- 18:56have hopefully a competent coach that is going to let his players
- 19:01make the decision on the field. Tomlin has.
- 19:04It's worked for Tomlin over the years.
- 19:06If you look at Tomlin's record, he has the winningest record in
- 19:10the last 12 years as a head coach.
- 19:12The problem is he's has the losing his record in the last
- 19:15eight years in the playoffs. Yeah, and you and you mentioned
- 19:17something with the Steelers offense like not having a lot
- 19:20too. And that was the thing that was
- 19:21most bizarre to me about the about the straight up way.
- 19:23Now you talked about it a few weeks ago on your deuce of the
- 19:25day. I think it was when Jonnu Smith
- 19:27was initially in interest with the Steelers.
- 19:29Now they have another tight ending, Pat Fryer move as a
- 19:32solid tight ending. They signed him to a decent
- 19:33contract. But you're right, they're
- 19:35probably going to have to keep him and use an ace tight end
- 19:37formation, 12 formation because they did not address the second
- 19:40receiver position after they traded George Pickens.
- 19:42A lot of people thought they were going to go after a veteran
- 19:44guy or even draft a guy. They they, we knew Pickens
- 19:47wanted out already, so they could have done that.
- 19:49They did not go after that. They're trusting Roman Wilson,
- 19:51they drafted last year, and like you said, it could be a mistake
- 19:54when a lot of these guys are just role players.
- 19:56Jalen Warren is a good running back, but again, is he going to
- 19:59be able to handle that level of volume with Caleb Johnson, a
- 20:02rookie, as your other option? That's the thing that doesn't
- 20:04make sense of this trade. Who's their number 22?
- 20:07Remember, they traded George Pickens to the Cowboys.
- 20:09Yeah. So right now.
- 20:09So who's their number two? It's.
- 20:10Roman Wilson And then they have DK Metcalf.
- 20:13Yeah. DK Metcalf is their one target.
- 20:15And can you trust him to be a consistent #1?
- 20:17I don't. Really well health, yeah.
- 20:18The whole thing with DK Metcalf is he's he's he's a top notch
- 20:22player, There's no question. But he plays his pure
- 20:25adrenaline. That's what he how he plays.
- 20:27He plays power football. And whenever you see a wide
- 20:30receiver play power football like him, DK Metcalf is, is a
- 20:34wide receiver in a tight end body.
- 20:36That's what he is. He's got the speed like a wide
- 20:38receiver, but he's as big as a tight end.
- 20:41And that was the problem when he came out of the draft.
- 20:43He was a top end draft pick. Remember, it was his combine
- 20:46that moved him up in the draft, of course, because he was.
- 20:49It was all his combine. It was his.
- 20:52It was his running. It was his, the way he he ran
- 20:54his 40 and it was with the way he was benching.
- 20:57I mean, he was bench press for, for a guy his size as a wide
- 21:00receiver, I think he benched 225 times, like 28 times or 27
- 21:04times, which is for a wide receiver is ridiculous.
- 21:07That's something that you see from a defensive lineman.
- 21:09So DK Metcalf is, is brutally strong.
- 21:12The problem with him is when you're that fast and you're that
- 21:14strong and you're, you're lugging up all that muscle,
- 21:17you're, you're going to have problems on a football field and
- 21:19you're playing well, obviously in Pittsburgh.
- 21:21I think this is perfect for DK Metcalf because one of the one
- 21:25of the places, one of the only two places in the NFL that still
- 21:29has grass, it's Pittsburgh and Chicago.
- 21:31So usually when you play grass, we've heard it from players that
- 21:34have been on the show, you have a better chance of lasting a
- 21:37season and not having knee injuries, Achilles injuries or
- 21:40even hip injuries or even your quad injuries.
- 21:43As we've seen guys like, you know, guys that have played for
- 21:46the New York Giants over the years, Saquon Barkley being one
- 21:49of them that had problems with his quads and, and, and
- 21:51different injuries over the last couple of years playing on on
- 21:54turf. I Pittsburgh, it's a place.
- 21:57Now here's the problem with Pittsburgh.
- 21:59When it gets cold, brutally cold and it's raining over there,
- 22:02your, your cleats stick to the ground.
- 22:04We've heard players that have played in Pittsburgh have
- 22:06problems. Even kickers that we've had on
- 22:08this show have complained about the ground over there in
- 22:10Pittsburgh. So DK Meccaf has played now he's
- 22:14played in Seattle on turf and and in the rain, but he's not
- 22:18played it, you know, 8 * 8 * a year, eight games a year on, you
- 22:23know, on grass where it, it's definitely harder to play on
- 22:26when it's raining. Yeah, and you're talking about
- 22:28the Steelers, like late in the season, too.
- 22:30Their two best seasons recently have been 2020 when they started
- 22:32undefeated. They were the last undefeated
- 22:34team left, and then they collapse at the end of the year.
- 22:36And then last year, too, they were eight and three or
- 22:37something. And then when a game when
- 22:39Russell Wilson really struggled the last month of the season,
- 22:41that's where all these drama started with George Pickens.
- 22:43And obviously they ended up moving him eventually.
- 22:45And DK Metcalf, you're like you said, he's a freak athlete, but
- 22:48again, he's a very inconsistent game to game type wide receiver
- 22:52too. So can you trust that as a
- 22:53number one option? That's the reason I don't love
- 22:55this trade for the Steelers. Like I think that Mike Tomlin
- 22:57and that defense can try to make things work.
- 22:58I think their biggest issue over the years has been their run
- 23:00defense. And I think they didn't really
- 23:03address that enough in this type of deal.
- 23:04If they were to trade Minka Fitzpatrick, there's probably a
- 23:06higher end offensive player I think they could have gotten.
- 23:08Now from the Miami standpoint, Minka Fitzpatrick definitely
- 23:11does help. They lost Javon Holland.
- 23:13He went to the Giants and like you said, he could play slack,
- 23:16he can play safety at a very high level and he.
- 23:19Hasn't played corner in a while, that's it's been a couple of
- 23:21years. That's the only thing that
- 23:22concerns me and then the other thing that concerns me on the
- 23:25Miami and is they're going to trust all these pass rushers to
- 23:27come back and be healthy. Chop Robinson a nice rookie
- 23:29year, which does help, but they still need a lot of beef on the
- 23:32inside. It's crazy how a corner jumps to
- 23:35safety and is still a pro ball play.
- 23:37Not many, not many corners over the years that have moved to
- 23:40safety has been as dominant as Mika Fitzpatrick has been over
- 23:44the last couple of years. One of them and I, we, we talk
- 23:47about it, that has been as good as anybody we've seen over the
- 23:51years as Charles Woodson. Charles Woodson, if you remember
- 23:54when he came into the league, he was a corner.
- 23:55When he obviously finished his career, he went from corner to
- 23:59safety and he was a pro ball player.
- 24:00As a matter of fact, if I'm not mistaken, I don't know if this
- 24:03is true. Didn't Charles Woodson win
- 24:05Defensive Player of the Year as a safety?
- 24:07Or was it a corner? I think he.
- 24:08Wanted as a corner, he was an all pro at both positions.
- 24:11Yeah, so the only person I can remember that move from corner,
- 24:15the safety and as dominant as Mika Fitzpatrick has been over
- 24:18the last couple of years is Charles Woodson.
- 24:21It's not very easy to jump from one position to the other when
- 24:24you're you're defending the best and the most talented offensive
- 24:27player on another team. And then moving inside where
- 24:29you're, you're playing free or you're playing where you're, you
- 24:32have to stop those, those tight ends, these fast tight ends like
- 24:35the Gronkowski's, the Travis Kelsey's.
- 24:38That's not easy to do. And that's something Mika
- 24:40Fitzpatrick's done so well all season over the last three years
- 24:45and done it at a high level. Remember, Pittsburgh defense was
- 24:48a top 2 defense for the last, well, top three defense for the
- 24:52last three years. Why do you think it's been a top
- 24:54three defense for the last three years?
- 24:56Well, one of the main reasons Mika Fitzpatrick.
- 24:59And that's why I think Mika Fitzpatrick was the headliner.
- 25:02Everybody keeps talking about Jaylen Ramsey.
- 25:03Jaylen Ramsey is a great corner. Is he a Hall of Famer?
- 25:06I don't know. I know a lot of people love
- 25:08Jaylen Ramsey right now. I don't think so.
- 25:10I really don't. It's tough to tell he.
- 25:12Was the same guy that took shots at Josh Allen on the GQ magazine
- 25:16when he came into the league. Same guy that opened his mouth
- 25:18about Josh Allen saying that Josh Allen's not going to be any
- 25:21good. Meanwhile, Josh Allen won the
- 25:22MVP this year and he's one of the top three quarterbacks in
- 25:25the NFL. Where's Jaylen Ramsey speaking
- 25:27now? I don't hear Jaylen Ramsey and
- 25:29GQ on Newsday or whatever the hell he's at right now heading
- 25:33to Pittsburgh playing with himself.
- 25:35I, I'm going to tell you this right now, Jalen Ramsey is a
- 25:38problem. He's going to be a problem in
- 25:39the locker room. And we all know what the
- 25:42Pittsburgh Steelers, they do not know how to control their
- 25:44players. We've seen it.
- 25:46Juju Smith, Schuster, remember him with his TikTok.
- 25:49I remember that. And Mike Tomlin obviously pulled
- 25:52him to the side. They didn't even suspend him.
- 25:54He fined him 5000, I think it was $5000 and let him play the
- 25:58next next week. That's something Mike Tomlin
- 26:01likes to do. He's all for the players.
- 26:03And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why Aaron Rodgers wanted to
- 26:06go there. And that is why Jalen Ramsey
- 26:09wanted to be traded to the. Pittsburgh Steel, Yeah, they're
- 26:11in too deep at this point with all the all the personalities
- 26:14there. We talked about it with other
- 26:15teams in the past, like sometimes you can accumulate the
- 26:17loud ones and make it to work. Obviously Seattle got that to
- 26:19work with Pete Carroll there in the beginning.
- 26:21And then once it got all sour with everybody, it all started
- 26:24to fall apart all at once. Same kind of thing with the
- 26:26Eagles when they won their Super Bowl in 2017.
- 26:28They had a lot of loud personalities on that team.
- 26:30Without Sean Jeffrey, obviously Michael Bennett.
- 26:33A lot of those defensive players on that first Super Bowl team
- 26:35for the Eagles were were like that.
- 26:36They made it work. But again, not a lot of those
- 26:38teams. There's also the same level of
- 26:40loud teams that don't work. Look at the Browns when they
- 26:42tried to get Odell and Baker Mayfield all at once and they
- 26:44have Freddie Kitchens as their head coach.
- 26:46That was a disaster. Notice the AFC North has been a
- 26:49problem with three teams. The Browns, Pittsburgh and the
- 26:54Bengals, all three teams over the years have had problems.
- 26:58Coaches have had problems controlling their players.
- 27:00Remember Vonte Burfict, remember him?
- 27:03Remember when he just completely nailed in the playoffs?
- 27:06Antonio Brown? Remember that?
- 27:08I don't think anybody forgets that hit all right?
- 27:11They've had problems controlling players.
- 27:12Pittsburgh has had problems controlling players.
- 27:15And then obviously I mentioned the Browns, who obviously, well,
- 27:19there's a guy named Watson who can't stay on a football field.
- 27:23He got guaranteed money and loves to go massage parlors or
- 27:26at least create his own massage parlors.
- 27:28At the stadium and there was a second round draft pick they had
- 27:30last year that I already got a a domestic assault or something
- 27:33like that. There was a a linebacker that
- 27:35got suspended for a financial fraud.
- 27:37Yeah. Good job, Cleveland, Good job.
- 27:39No, I was just going to say like of these two, who do you think
- 27:43it actually has a bigger impact? And I I say this positively.
- 27:46Because they need him more because the Dolphins lost Javon
- 27:49Holland. They have injury prone other
- 27:51corners that have not been great to develop wise.
- 27:53I think with the with Jalen Ramsey, it brings another
- 27:56physical presence with with Joey Porter.
- 27:57They're both the same type of player at this point.
- 27:59I don't know if it's like a deal breaker to like make their
- 28:02defense to to the higher level. Miami needs the defense to be
- 28:06what they were in the second-half of the season.
- 28:07second-half of the season they played very well.
- 28:09It took them a while to get going though.
- 28:11But the problem is you just don't know what they're passing
- 28:13rushers, how healthy they'll be coming back.
- 28:17Makes sense. I just, but it's just like you
- 28:20look at it because it's so weird when when a trade like this
- 28:23happens because it doesn't happen that often.
- 28:25Now with two star defenders all at once, and that was the that
- 28:27was the thing that was questioning with the Steelers,
- 28:29because the Steelers need more offense than defense and Miami
- 28:32kind of needs more front 7 than they do secondary.
- 28:35But again, at the same time, Minka could do so many different
- 28:37things. It's good.
- 28:39Yeah, and he can, he can adjust and obviously we've seen what he
- 28:41can do. And that's I was just wondering
- 28:43what like how the impact and obviously from from both sides
- 28:47of the ball, but I mean you're getting quality players on both
- 28:50sides. I think Mika is just more more
- 28:53suscept to being able to do more things in a scheme than than
- 28:57Jalen is. Well, I just want to let, I want
- 28:59to give an announcement. I didn't get a chance to do that
- 29:01in the beginning. Happy birthday to Thomas and
- 29:05Thomas has been a a really good friend, a fan of the show.
- 29:08It is his birthday yesterday. Happy 19th birthday to Thomas.
- 29:12It is a great I watched this kid grow up.
- 29:15Eric Martini's nephew, OK and I've known Eric for years.
- 29:19I haven't spoken Eric for over over six months.
- 29:21It's been a long time, but his nephew has been a fan of the
- 29:24show, loves the show and I wanted to just I, I, I didn't
- 29:28get a chance to do that. Happy birthday to Thomas.
- 29:30Happy 19th birthday. Happy birthday almost at 21,
- 29:33man, you're you're considered a man, but you're still a young
- 29:36kid. Great drummer, great kid, great
- 29:39personality, big Yankee fan and loves Jabba Chamberlain.
- 29:42So keep listening. We will get in to the Yankees.
- 29:46And I'm sure Jabba's thoughts of what's going on with Anthony
- 29:48Volpe, who's been absolutely horrible, really.
- 29:50And the Yankees are going to have to figure out what they're
- 29:52going to do with him. Are they, do they move him or do
- 29:55they send him down a AA? Because I don't even think he
- 29:57can hit a AAA right now. He's had a problem all season
- 30:00long seeing the ball, but that's a whole another story.
- 30:02But to get back to what you guys were saying, Mika Fitzpatrick is
- 30:05the slam dunk player in this trade because one Mika
- 30:09Fitzpatrick is a team player 2. Mika Fitzpatrick wanted to, he
- 30:13wanted to go to on down to a Florida team.
- 30:15He resigned with Pittsburgh because Pittsburgh obviously
- 30:18told him that he they wanted him to be there for life and he
- 30:22loves Mike Tomlin. Everybody loves Mike Tomlin, but
- 30:25I think Jalen Ramsey wanted out of the Miami Dolphins.
- 30:28The defense is obviously not been up to par over the last two
- 30:32seasons. This year, last year they
- 30:34weren't good, The year before was pretty good.
- 30:35Their defense played well with all the injuries they had and
- 30:39obviously losing their coach. He goes to the Philadelphia
- 30:42Eagles and wins, wins the Super Bowl the year after.
- 30:44But nevertheless, Jalen Ramsey had no interest to staying over
- 30:48there in Miami. There it's going to be an all
- 30:50offensive team. If Miami has any chance to win
- 30:53this coming season, they're going to have to really be an
- 30:56all out offense. And I could say this about
- 30:58Pittsburgh, they're going to be the complete opposite.
- 31:00Pittsburgh is a defense first, offense second.
- 31:04They've always been that way. And with obviously Mr. Watt
- 31:07there and now Jalen Ramsey, you have two guys that have been
- 31:10elite players at their position. But me losing Mika Fitzpatrick
- 31:13in the middle against tight ends, especially in the AFC,
- 31:16what you're going to have to contend with, you're going to
- 31:18have a lot of problems because you know, these coaches like to
- 31:21go up in the middle when it comes to these tight ends.
- 31:24And it's changed. The leaks changed.
- 31:26Go ask. And we all know Travis Kelce, we
- 31:28all know the Kansas City Chiefs. The Kansas City Chiefs love to
- 31:32play that middle ball. They love to throw inside and
- 31:34losing Mika Fitzpatrick, who's so very good at hot, you know,
- 31:38Hawking the ball and and clogging up the middle.
- 31:41Now you send them over there to the Dolphins.
- 31:42What are you going to do? Jaylen Ramsey can't do that.
- 31:44Jaylen Ramsey is a one-on-one player and again, they have a
- 31:49good one-on-one player in Porter junior.
- 31:50So I again, you you do have to contend with the teams that
- 31:54you're contending with in the in the in the AFC North.
- 31:59You do have to contend with the Bengals.
- 32:00You have Higgins there and you have have chased there and
- 32:04they're that's probably one of the most dynamic duos in the
- 32:07NFL. But I, I just think giving up a
- 32:10player of this magnitude, a guy like Mika Fitzpatrick, it, it
- 32:13really puts you in a bad position, especially when you're
- 32:15going into a season where you're not really deep at that
- 32:19position. Yeah, and also you mentioned
- 32:20like the Miami's going to have to rely a lot on their offense,
- 32:22still trying to figure out their defense.
- 32:24I know it's the second year of a coordinator that did well later
- 32:26in the season. But again, it's one of those
- 32:28things where can you trust Chubb and Jalen Phillips and all these
- 32:31other guys to come back healthy? Jake, in our private, I was also
- 32:33mentioning losing Christian Wilkins.
- 32:34They've really never been able to replace him.
- 32:36But on the offensive side of the ball, their offensive line last
- 32:38year was a mess though, too. They were, I think, the third
- 32:40worst overall offensive line in the NFL.
- 32:42Like they couldn't have done that in this type of Minka
- 32:44Fitzpatrick or a Jalen Ramsey trade if they knew they were
- 32:46going to trade Ramsey. It's been two months that
- 32:48they've known since they were trading Jalen Ramsey too.
- 32:50So that's the only thing that was kind of.
- 32:51Pittsburgh goes into trading offense.
- 32:52No, no, no. I'm not saying Pittsburgh, but
- 32:53they could have done around the league too.
- 32:55Like we talked about it one of the weeks you were gone Errol,
- 32:57when you were in Florida, I thought Minnesota was a really
- 33:00good fit for Jalen Ramsey because and they could have
- 33:02traded an offensive line in Washington would have been a
- 33:03good fit for Jalen. You think Jalen Ramsey wanted to
- 33:05go to Minnesota? I don't know for sure, but like
- 33:07I think schematically speaking from the Dolphins, I think even
- 33:10though I think they got good value in this trade.
- 33:12Besides keep Bursick, I don't think there's any player in the
- 33:15NFL that really wants to go to Minnesota, especially unless
- 33:18they getting they're getting paid because Minnesota is a cold
- 33:22place in the winter time. They do play in a Dome and
- 33:25besides the wonderful mole that they have over there, what do
- 33:30they call that Mall of America? There's really nothing out there
- 33:33except hockey and snow. So and farm.
- 33:37And if you like the hunt, if you if you like the hunt, Minnesota
- 33:40is a good place to go. But I don't think Jalen Ramsey
- 33:42is the type of person that likes the hunt.
- 33:44And I don't think Jalen Ramsey is the type of person that wants
- 33:46to go to Minnesota and enjoy his what last two or three years in
- 33:50the NFLI Think he wanted to go to Pittsburgh.
- 33:52I think he wanted to play for Mike Tomlin like everybody else
- 33:55does. And he thinks by playing with
- 33:57Jay, with a guy like Watt over there and the the talent that
- 34:01they have on that defensive line, he can compete and and
- 34:04become that that superstar pro ball player that he has been
- 34:08over the last couple of years. And was he a pro ball player
- 34:10last year? I don't think he was.
- 34:11Yeah, he was. He was for the last five years,
- 34:13I think. How did he make, how did he make
- 34:15the pro ball with all the dominance of corners in the NFL,
- 34:18especially in the division of, well, in the conference he's in.
- 34:22Yeah, I guess. I guess maybe maybe they because
- 34:24because I know Marlon Humphrey got the slot nod, so maybe that
- 34:27gave it another position for another KFC corner to get to get
- 34:30in there with Jalen Ramsey. Was he that good last?
- 34:32Year he was top 15 corner last year maybe.
- 34:34But was he a pro ball player? I mean, again, it's tough to
- 34:37tell. I mean, Sir Tan was the obvious.
- 34:38That's the problem with the pro ball.
- 34:40The I mean, yeah, there's. Because the fans vote.
- 34:42The fans vote. That's why Jalen Ramsey always
- 34:45makes it every single year is because of the fans.
- 34:47Because to me, I don't, I, I know everybody looks like these
- 34:50unbelievable statistics, the PFFS and whatever they call
- 34:53them, baseball's got them. And now football's got it.
- 34:56The NBA's got it. All these new statistics I could
- 34:59give a crap about. The fact is when I watched Jalen
- 35:02Ramsey, he was beaten a lot when I was watching him play,
- 35:05especially when he was playing for Miami.
- 35:07Miami's defense was one of the worst defenses in the NFL last
- 35:10year and Jalen Ramsey was a part of that defense.
- 35:14So for the fact that Jalen Ramsey was a pro ball player
- 35:16just tells me why the pro ball is an absolute joke.
- 35:21And I know it's flag football. And by the way, there are a lot
- 35:24of guys that made the pro ball last year, one of them Russell
- 35:27Wilson. How did Russell Wilson and made
- 35:30the Pro Bowl last year? How the hell did he make the
- 35:32pro? Give you that one, you give it.
- 35:34Give me that one. How about the kid from the
- 35:35Patriots? May How did May make well?
- 35:38Also the Pro Bowls, like as Jake said in our chat too, it's like
- 35:43it becomes one of those things where it's like a popularity
- 35:45contest. It's not really who the best is.
- 35:48And as we're seeing, we see it in all sports too, when fans are
- 35:51part of the voting, they're not voting because he's the best.
- 35:53They're voting because he's the favorite player or whatever.
- 35:55And you see it, you see it all the time.
- 35:58And I think there's some some things that need to change.
- 36:00But also too, it's like, hey, I get another 50 grand if I, you
- 36:04know, if I'm a Pro Bowler, like hell, let him.
- 36:06Let him keep voting for me. Yeah.
- 36:08I mean, it's it's part of the game.
- 36:10And I don't think they'll ever take the fan voting out of it
- 36:12because it makes the fan feel like they're part of the game.
- 36:15Here's the problem, and I agree with you, here's the problem
- 36:17with the whole pro ball thing and the fans get to vote.
- 36:20When these guys are looked at as future Hall of Farmers, that's
- 36:25one of the things they look at. How many times have they made
- 36:27the pro ball? I know obviously being an all
- 36:29pro player is more important than being a pro ball player,
- 36:32but that's one of the things that the committee looks at.
- 36:35Oh, he's a 10 time, 11 time, 12 time pro baller.
- 36:39I mean, Tom Brady was a career 22 year pro ball player and he
- 36:43was an all pro player too. But the problem here is that
- 36:47you, you have the fans voting for these players and it doesn't
- 36:50make any sense. I don't think Jalen Ramsey was a
- 36:53top ten wide, top ten corner in the league last year, but he was
- 36:58a Pro Bowl player. Did he make the All Pro team?
- 37:00No. So that's the problem.
- 37:03If you're a Pro Bowl player, you should be an All Pro player too.
- 37:06That's where the NFL needs to figure this out because that's
- 37:09the same thing that happened. I I wasn't a couple years from a
- 37:12Jet, one of the linebackers from the New York Jets, he was a all
- 37:15pro player, but he didn't make the pro ball OK.
- 37:18It made no sense if you're an All Pro player.
- 37:21Isn't that, isn't that ass backwards?
- 37:23Yeah. It doesn't make sense.
- 37:25If you're an all pro player, you're a pro ball player.
- 37:28That's the way it should go. It doesn't make any sense.
- 37:31There are all pro players every single year that are not voting
- 37:35into the pro ball. How does that make sense?
- 37:37It just it never makes sense with the in in professional
- 37:40sports anymore. Yeah, it's all about money.
- 37:42It's all about the superstars. But guess what?
- 37:45If you're an all pro player, you're a superstar as far as I'm
- 37:48concerned. If you're out there playing your
- 37:50heart out every single week and you're the best defensive player
- 37:54for your team and one of the best defensive players at your
- 37:56position, how are you not a star?
- 37:59I mean. Seriously once conference based
- 38:01one is the whole league like all pro Definitely make it matter.
- 38:03But before we move on I would do what I bet you scoops mentioned
- 38:05in a private chat. Tyler Huntley made the Pro Bowl.
- 38:07Yes, the same Tyler Huntley that Jeff thought was better than
- 38:09Doc. Prescott.
- 38:10That's all. Another story, Jeff.
- 38:12That's all. By the way, I love Jeff.
- 38:14Jeff went back and forth with me about the Knicks signings, which
- 38:17we'll get into tomorrow. But he was like, oh, our team
- 38:21did this and our team that. I don't care less right now.
- 38:24I want to know who the Knicks are going to be bring in as
- 38:26their head coach and until that happens, I could care unless who
- 38:29they bring in for for bench, hell board, even starters,
- 38:32because it means nothing until you know who your head coach is
- 38:34going to be. All right ladies and gentlemen,
- 38:37our golf clap of the day. This deserves a golf clap.
- 38:41No doubt. Golf clap, Golf clap.
- 38:45Our golf clap of the day goes to the New York Knicks, and I know
- 38:49a lot of Knicks fans are probably upset that the Knicks
- 38:51have not. You heard it from me, Not
- 38:54brought in a head coach. There are rumors coming out that
- 38:57Mike Brown might be the lead guy to get the job, but there's also
- 39:01rumors that the second guy on the list is Taylor Jenkins.
- 39:05The reason why the Knicks are going to get a golf clap of the
- 39:07day is for Leon Rose. Leon Rose, for all the Knick
- 39:10fans out there on social media saying that the Knicks are a
- 39:13stupid organization and how could you go into a draft
- 39:16without a coach? How could you go to free agents
- 39:18without a coach? Well, This is why the Knicks
- 39:21went into free agency without a coach.
- 39:23Because Leon Rose, everything he's touched turned to gold.
- 39:27He brought in Jaylen Brunson. He paid Jaylen Brunson $58
- 39:30million as a free agent. And look what Jaylen Brunson has
- 39:33become. He's been become Mr. Clutch.
- 39:36As for the New York Knicks and and the Knicks first captain
- 39:38since Carmelo Anthony. What did the Knicks do after
- 39:41that? Well, they made trades trading
- 39:43RJ Barrett. They brought in a guy like OG
- 39:46Anobe. OG Anobe is one of the best
- 39:48defensive players, perimeter wing defenders in the in the
- 39:51NBA. You bring in Mikhail Bridges,
- 39:53you bring in Karl Anthony Towns, you you, you decided to move
- 39:56players and give Miles McBride a big contract.
- 40:00Well, a three-year contract for a bench player after training
- 40:03Critten, Grimes and absolutely slam dunk that.
- 40:06Move bringing a Mitchell Robinson to pay Mitchell
- 40:08Robinson to a four year, $60 million contract where he's
- 40:11underpaid as a center in the league.
- 40:13Everything Leon Rose has done for the New York Knicks has
- 40:17turned to gold. So why judge him on social
- 40:20media? I'm not going to judge him.
- 40:22I think Leon Rose knows what he's doing.
- 40:24And my golf clap of the day goes to Leon Rose and the New York
- 40:28Knicks because the Knicks are not reaching on this coaching
- 40:32search. They're going to make the right
- 40:33decision and they're going to put themselves in position next
- 40:36next year where they're going to make a run for another
- 40:38championship. So my golf clap of the day goes
- 40:40to Leon Rose and the New York Knicks.

- 41:36Matthew Dennis. He was at the Fanatics games
- 41:39this year. He was the one of the fans that
- 41:41competed. He was in 3rd place.
- 41:43He got 250250K from Tom Brady. Yeah.
- 41:47Where's he's coming on the show, huh?
- 41:48Where's my 250K? Tell him, can I?
- 41:52Hey, Tommy, first of all, you were supposed to get me that
- 41:55thing over there in the Hamptons with Tom Brady.
- 41:57You never got that for me, you little piece.
- 41:59They never answered back. Nith.
- 42:01Bend over. Show everybody that ass, that
- 42:03Indian ass. Show them that Indian ass.
- 42:05No. As long as she's using dude
- 42:08watch and taking care of my 2 hole I'm good.
- 42:10This makes my pecker. Hard anyways, that's it for our
- 42:12show ladies and gentlemen we'll be back tomorrow.
- 42:15We'll have fish back we'll have Zach here we'll have the whole
- 42:18show and maybe we'll add king of the hill because we never get a
- 42:21chance we got to do that that whole UFC mixed martial arts
- 42:25thing. That wouldn't be fair because it
- 42:26would probably just be me and Jake.
- 42:28That wouldn't have been fair. What is fish thinking?
- 42:30I don't, I don't get it job. Hey, you're not going to give me
- 42:33any credit on the? UFCI didn't say that.
- 42:35I didn't say that, but I, I, I listen to Jake and I listen to
- 42:38his take. I, I just, it's going to be hard
- 42:41to, to attack this guy when it comes to his takes.
- 42:44When it comes to mixed martial arts, you probably, you probably
- 42:47have the third most knowledge on the show about mixed martial
- 42:49arts. So it would have.
- 42:50Been I'm the only one that's ever had a deal with the UFC, so
- 42:53right there. There you child, there you show,
- 42:55right? You want to show your ass?
- 42:56Show everybody your ass, I mean. I got birthmark on my right
- 43:00cheek. Oh, there you go, me too.
- 43:02Is that what your future wife is looking at right now after?
- 43:07The show sitting down you stupid ass.
- 43:09How do we know you're sitting? Maybe you're sitting on her I.
- 43:13Don't know that would be silent. I'm losing my mind tonight, I'm
- 43:18losing my voice. I'm losing everything.
- 43:20Anyways, that's it for a show. We'll be back tomorrow.
