Speaker A: Dangerous Laughter. Laughter. Dangerous. Danger. Laughter. Dangerous laughter. Danger. Left here. Sad. Day 8.
• 1:09
Speaker B: The Emergency Destruct system is now activated. The option to override detonation procedure has now expired. The ship will automatically destruct in E minus one minute. Back on another episode of Dangerous laughter. I am A.J. rice. Always remember, there is no substitute for perfectly timed derision. Comedy is our civic duty and we're gonna have some fun today. I've got a guy that I've been following for some time. He just doesn't know it. Hopefully he doesn't call the, the, the authorities on me. Today's very special dangerous guest. He loves monogamy because he only has time to wait for one woman to stare at a restaurant menu for 20 minutes. He is a former communications director for US Senator Mike Lee of Utah. Big fan of Mike. A lawyer, a columnist, serves as the commentary editor at the Washington Examiner. We're a big fan of the Washington examiner here. His book, Sex and the Citizen. How the Assault on Marriage Is Destroying Democracy. Ladies and gentlemen, the man who never forgets his wedding anniversary, Con Carroll. Everybody's in the house. That's right. Con Carroll's here. New book here. It's been out a little bit, but I'm going to treat it like it came out yesterday because this is essential reading. Khan, really great to have you, brother.
• 2:46
Speaker C: It's fantastic to be on. I believe it absolutely is essential reading.
• 2:50
Speaker B: Look, this book, and I've been going through it for the last week, what you are setting up here in this book is that marriage is not just some religious sacrament, that it's it, that it's essential to civilization, that it's, it's an essential component for why the west is special. One of the things we say here all the time is that not all cultures are created equal, not all civilizations are created equal, which is why some of them go away. And that marriage, contrary to some of these, you know, bozos you quote, which is some of the stuff they write, hilarious. They basically think that the law of the jungle still applies, that it is essential. Monogamy and marriage is essential for political life, economic life and the health of civic society. Am I right?
• 3:46
Speaker C: Yeah, absolutely. I mean, the only thing I would push back on a little bit, you say, you know, marriage is essential for civilization. But of course, civilization existed for thousands of years with polygamous marriage.
• 3:57
Speaker B: Well, I just meant our, our Christian civilization. Yes, Right.
• 4:02
Speaker C: But yeah, that's just the point is that as you said, not all cultures are created equal, not all religions are created equal. And I think what the the whole point of the book is that the most important things we hold dear in Western civilization, civil society, democracy, capitalism, family, all of that comes from monogamy, comes from. From marriage. And that what a lot of people don't realize is that for pretty much all of recorded human history, from the founding of agriculture and writing, up until Christianity, all societies on earth were polygamous. And it really wasn't until you have Christianity of Jesus Christ come back and bring monogamy back into humanity, that then you have the flourishing that takes place throughout the world, the birth of civil society, the birth of those other institutions that allow for the growth of democracy and.
• 4:51
Speaker B: Absolutely, absolutely. Now, since September 11, 2001, the United States has dealt with all different types of terror groups. We had Al Qaeda, we had the Taliban, we've had ISIS and isil. We've had Boko Haram in Africa, we've had Ebo Sayef in the Philippines. And I could go on and on, obviously, the Houthis and this one and the Khurasan group, but there is one terror group, and I think your. Your book is based on this terror group. There's one terror group that had four members that I think did some damage to society. Chris, will you show him a picture of the terror? There they are. There's the terror group right there. So Sex in the City and Sex and the Citizen. So let me ask you, this is the group that everyone should recognize. In fact, they made two movies, and in one of them, I think they were running around with burka. Yeah, they were running around, running around in some Moroccan bazaar with the burqa ladies, which, you know, today looks like, you know, midtown Manhattan. So tell me culturally, before we get into where this came from, because, guys, the research for this book came from something called the Social Capital Project, which Khan started when he was. He was working on when he was with US Senator Mike Lee. But just look, just to set the predicate. Sex and the Citizen is the name of the book. How much damage did that terror group there of Charlotte, Amanda. I'm trying to remember the. Miranda. No Miranda. And I'm forgetting. I'm forgetting the main one. Who am I forgetting? I. I don't even. Sarah, you know, Ferris Bueller's wife. Anyway.
• 6:33
  Speaker D: Right.
• 6:33
Speaker C: Whatever what her name is. I don't think they. I don't think they caused all the damage, but they definitely, you know, perpetuated and embodied it. Right. So Hanna Rosen wrote a book called the Future Without Men, and she very much said that the sexual revolution was absolutely dependent on feminist Progress, and this is her quote, feminist progress was right now depends on the existence of hookup culture. And to surprising degree, it is women, not men, who are perpetuating culture. And Sex in the City. Sex in the City, of course, embodies that. You know, she wrote, women are more likely to have a college degree. In the aggregate, they make more money. What makes this remarkable development possible is not just the pill or legal abortion, but the whole new landscape of sexual freedom. The ability to delay marriage and have temporary relationships that don't derail education or career. And that's, of course, what that entire show was about, was these ladies being able to hook up with everyone they wanted without marriage or commitment involved. And as one chapter, the book is developed. And when that happens, the entire benefits of monogamy, what monogamy brings to civilization, begins to break down. Whether it is crime, the family, civic participation, you name it. This hookup culture, this abandonment of monogamy and commitment is. Is really the.
• 7:54
  Speaker E: At.
• 7:54
Speaker C: At the core of every issue afflicting our society.
• 7:56
Speaker B: For sure. For sure. And I want to. I want to just, you know, the audience that. That watches this show knows that, look, I'm. I'm not an uptight guy. I'm, you know, I have a lot of fun. I know her name was Carrie Bradshaw, the Osama bin Laden of that group. That would be Sarah Jessica Parker. You know, for me, it's not about. I mean, basically, they made men either. I mean, if you watch the show, and I have seen plenty of it, and look, that. And the Sopranos is the reason HBO was able to build the empire they did coming out of the late 90s into the early 2000s. I mean, they. They were their. Their sort of pillar shows. I'm more of a Sopranos guy, as I'm sure the audience knows. So the, The. The thing about monogamy, and with that show, too, is that it provided this situation where the women make money on their own. They basically, basically taught generations of women. And these were mainly Gen X women on the show, but the millennials and Gen Z were watching it.
• 9:01
  Speaker C: Right?
• 9:02
Speaker B: I'm a geriatric millennial myself. So beyond that, we're having some fun with them. The research for this book, you're working at Senator Mike Lee's office, and he starts something called the Social Capital Project. You start doing research. You're a comms director there. How does this come about? What do you discover?
• 9:22
Speaker C: Yeah, absolutely. So Senator Lee became chairman of something called the Joint Economic Committee, which is between both the House and the Senate. And Normally they do kind of boring stuff looking at GDP and trade policy and taxes and the rest of it. But he wanted to take in another direction. So he started what's called the Social Capital Project to kind of study more of what Robert Putnam had worked about in his book Bullying Alone, which is social capital, which what is we draw upon, what are the social institutions that we have and can we start measuring what into those institutions contribute to society? And so, you know, as a conservative, I'd always kind of known in the back of my mind that there was research out there that showed that marriage was beneficial not just to those involved, not just to kids, but to the surrounding community. But I didn't realize how much evidence there was and how much even what were normally liberal or leftist professors, when they were honest and studied about it, be like, yeah, marriage really is beneficial not just to children, not just to husbands and wives, but to the entire community. And so it's from that point that I wanted to read a history of marriage. So like, like any normal person I went on Amazon was like history of marriage. And everything that came up was either written by leftists that, that did not hate, you know, did not like the institution of marriage and was trying to, you know, portray as this like 50s, oppressive thing, or it was written by conservatives, but it was all about gay marriage. You know, and I'm not going to say that gay marriage is not an important issue, but it's like the importance of the history of marriage started way before the 1970s, started way before England. Angel Sullivan, you know, tried to started pushing gay marriage in the 1990s. So there was no book out there that really started from, you know, the beginning of time up through now to say this is why the marriage, this is why the institution of marriage is important. And this is the role that has played throughout history. And that's what my book really tries to does, is this goes back to the dawn of civilization even, even before it actually, and says, sure, really, it argues monogamy is actually what made us human. It's what, what separated us from, from our ape ancestors. It's what allowed us to become and conquer the world and become intelligent and be able to adapt to as many environments as we have. And then civilization started. And because of hierarchical power structures, you had polygamy take over pretty much everywhere in the world. And it was a very despotic place for thousands of years up until you have Jesus Christ come along reintroduce monogamy. And that of course then spreads first throughout the west and then the west takes over a chunk of the world, but then you also have Russia, China and India later, after World War I. It's not. What a lot of people don't realize is really not even until after World War I that you have the rest of the world that was not already on board with monogamy all of a sudden, say, you know what, the west has a right. We're going to start reinforcing monogamous norms ourselves.
• 12:08
Speaker B: Sure. So Christianity comes along, comes out of the Jewish tradition and, and you know, Christian civilization kind of begins with when somebody finally told powerful men, whether it's, you know, Caesar or whoever, people across, I mean, into Southeast Asia, across the whole, you know, at least the ancient world, one wife is plenty for you. Okay? One wife is plenty. That's a, that's all you need. And because as you write about, you know, wives were like a commodity. They were like, you collect them. Right. And then once that sort of stops, you know, I guess the question is, can democracy, if we come into the modern era here, 21st century from, you know, we got 2,000 years of this, can democracy survive the collapse of the traditional marriage? I mean, I've, I've written three books on political, they're political satire books, but I talk a lot about the nuclear family. And the question is this, is this is a healthy ingredient for democracy in and of itself, correct?
• 13:13
Speaker C: Yeah, absolutely. So when you take away monogamy for a number of reasons, it undermines democracy in a number of ways. One, it increases income inequality because you don't have children. Not being raised in families with a mother and father. And when that doesn't happen, you have very wide differences in outcomes of, of income for, for those children when they grow up. Then of course there's the wealth question. Monogamous households are just a lot more wealthy than single parent households or households where you don't have any, any men at all. There's the social mobility is a lot higher when you have monogamous households versus polygamous households. Crime is a lot lower when you have monogamous societies versus polygamous societies. Then you have the examples of polarization with the, the less marriage you have within a society, the more the sexes are polarized against each other, which we see all the time today. And then of course, the big one which has really blown up since the, my book came out is fertility. People have really gotten on board with the idea that fertility is an all time low. We're not reproducing ourselves into the future. And of course, just fertility is a lot higher in monogamy than in polygamous or cultures that just don't have any marriage at all.
• 14:28
Speaker B: Right, right. So did marriage domesticate men or civilize them? What, what, what. What exactly did it do? You know, because, I mean, look, ladies and gentlemen, he goes through all different types of cultures. He talks about the Vikings and the Hammurabi's code and all. All the Hammurabi and all the. Into. Into China. So. So, as you know, from your perspective, what exactly happened there?
• 14:50
Speaker C: Sure. It's a simple math problem. So when you have a polygamous culture which. Where, you know, even. Even a standard pilgrims culture and a highly. One where you have, you know, certain men will have like, say, you know, four or five wives. Next group will have two or three in the next group will have like one or two. That what that ends up doing is it leaves about 40% of men with no wife at all. And it is these single men that take the most risks, that commit the most crimes, that just generally are troublemakers or for society. And so that's why when you look at monogamous societies versus polygamous societies, the polygamous societies are. Are always the ones that are the most violent. Just look at, you know, Islamic countries today.
• 15:32
Speaker B: Yeah, I'm saying we have some of that going on now. We've got a ton of. Of marriage, ton of men in their prime sitting around with no wife and, you know, concocting one thing after another. I mean, I. Look, I live in Virginia, and I've been here a long time, and there are certain areas of Virginia I could point you to in Northern Virginia along Route 7, which has been.
• 15:59
Speaker C: I know the area.
• 16:00
Speaker B: Yeah. Which has been nicknamed the Wahhabi Corridor. There was a Kinko's up there. It's now FedEx office where some of the 911 hijackers worked. And there's just, you know, if you go to Tyson's Corner Mall or any of these places, you will see a lot of idle men from Muslim countries sitting around. I mean, yeah, they're yapping with each other, having a coffee, having a little Turkish coffee, But, I mean, this is what you're talking about. I mean, that resentment can build when you have a society formatted like this. Correct?
• 16:31
Speaker C: Yeah. And, you know, it's not just Islamic culture. I mean, you brought the Vikings earlier, right? I mean, there's a reason why all these long ships were filled with young men in their 1820s that were going to England and Ireland to kill other men, kill women, and take them as sex Slaves. The island, the island of Iceland is made up of all entirely. They did genetic studies of men from, you know, Norway and women from Ireland. This is not, this is right. Not an accident. And it wasn't become a bunch of handsome swathy, you know, Norwegian men showed up on the coast of Ireland and, and courted and were able to convince a bunch of Irish women to go off into Ireland. No, they came in, killed all the husbands and, and brothers and stole the women off to Iceland.
• 17:16
  Speaker B: So that's right.
• 17:17
Speaker C: Not just, you know, something that happens in Islamic culture. This is. Was the norm worldwide until Christianity.
• 17:24
Speaker B: Absolutely. Just explain why Conan O' Brien looks the way he does and Bill O'Reilly and Dennis Leary and all the rest of them.
• 17:30
  Speaker D: Right.
• 17:31
Speaker B: And look, I'm Irish myself, but I got the leprechaun gene. I didn't get the giant redheaded Viking Ragnar and Ivan the Boneless Ivar, the boneless genes.
• 17:41
Speaker C: Right. I mean, Dublin, Dublin, for centuries it was founded as a slave trading hub.
• 17:45
Speaker B: Absolutely. That's what it was. So we're going to take a quick break. We're talking to Khan Carol, the book Sex and the Citizen. This is dangerous laughter. We will be right back.
• 17:57
Speaker D: Women's rights champion Riley Gaines calls it a fierce defense of principle wrapped in humor from a satirist who dismantles the Trans Mafia's propaganda number one. I'm going to wear my beer loud and proud when I enter the WNBA draft. And hey, you should join me, man. Your producers tell me that you can pass as a woman on most days. I also hear that you play high school basketball in Philly. So just suit up, man. You can be my point guard. And it's, you got, you gotta stick some, you know, jump shot in the face of Angel Reese.
• 19:22
  Speaker C: Oh, my God.
• 19:24
Speaker E: You know, unfortunately people say we got a lot of genders, but I'm sure you could pass for one or two of them. Have fun with podcast and I'll see you at the Bearded later draft.

Speaker A: This endorsement has been brought to you by collapsing standards Everywhere. And now back to Dangerous Laughter.
• 19:43
Speaker D: The management of this station are clueless. You're listening to Dangerous Laughter with AJ Rice on the Publius Media Network.
• 19:56
Speaker B: Back on the DL, I am AJ Rice. We're talking to Con Carroll, commentary editor at the Washington Examiner. His book Sex and the Citizen how the Assault on Marriage Is Destroying Democracy. Always remember, guys, humor is moral warfare by other means. Go to dangerouslaughter.com khan, so you. In the, in the introduction to the book, you talk about the Tate brothers. Okay, There. There are some things that I've, and I don't watch this show, but they are popular. And there are some things that, that I see come out of there from time to time that I kind of agree with. But, I mean, they've got a huge following. And, you know, they were. They were allowed into the United States at one point here during the Trump administration. They've been arrested before, I guess, in Eastern Europe. They're wanted by the UK authorities. And I've got a little tape here I want to play for you. I want you to explain the tape Brothers, but I just want to show the audience this is them getting grabbed in Miami recently. Let's. Back up. Okay? Now, the question here is. And you've got kids. I've got kids. I'm sure Nickelodeon's on sometimes. What the hell is spongebob Now? Was spongebob arresting them? Is he part of their crew? Was. Was Squidward like a narc? The narc called cops on them. Was he. What is spongebob doing with the Tape brothers in Miami? Khan, can you explain that?
• 21:43
Speaker C: Maybe he was the bait to lure them in. I have. I have no idea what they're into.
• 21:47
Speaker B: Oh, God. Yeah. Well, I don't want to, you know, I don't want to go there. Yeah, that's right. That's the demo. The Tape Brothers demo is the spongebob demo. So it's. Look, got a whole book on marriage here. We talk about the culture here on Dangerous Laughter. Explain to the audience who don't know who are the Tate brothers and why you mentioned them in the book.
• 22:10
Speaker C: Yeah, well, the book actually opens with Tate's arrest, which you literally to earlier in. In Romania, and he's arrested for sex trafficking. You know, and as, as I point out in the book, you know, when you, when you watch Tate, not all of what he says is bad, right? He says, you know, he tells young men, look, life is very hard. You're gonna have to be able to. You're gonna have to work, you're gonna have to build yourself up. You're gonna have to choose the right friends. You're gonna have to, you know, not play video games. You have to work hard to make something of yourself. But that's all great. But then we get to the other side of Tate, which is that basically, women are worthless. He says females, literally, this is quote, have no innate responsibility or honor. He says that they're intrinsically lazy and the only reason that they're around is that they're currency. That. That. That women are the highest currency. And of course, he completely disdains marriage. He calls, you know, marriage just a complete way of oppressing men, which is, you know, obviously women. Ridiculous. But also, you know, you started off with the. The four terrorists at the beginning of the show. That's right, Bradshaw. But remarkably, I agree. Tate and. And the Four Horsemen of the. Of the Apocalypse, they have the same view on marriage, which is. They view it as an impressive institution. They just have different ideas about who it's oppressing. Tate views it as oppressing men, they view it as oppressing women, and they're both wrong.
• 23:32
Speaker B: Wow. Unbelievable, though. It's just like you have the. You have, you know, first, second, third wave feminists and Andrew Tate agreeing on the.
• 23:40
  Speaker C: The.
• 23:41
Speaker B: The construct of marriage. They, they agree on that oppression is happening and that, you know, the one case, the, I guess the patriarchy, and in the other case, you know, that. And look, the, you know, Aunt Tate's, I think a Muslim convert.
• 23:56
Speaker C: I believe he is.
• 23:57
Speaker B: Yes. Yeah. So. So which, you know, and. But you've got this large swath of. Look, I'm a millennial. I examine Gen Z a lot, but I'm on the cusp with Gen X. You know, I remember, you know, MTV and VCRs and pagers and all the rest of it. I know, I know who John Hughes is. I find that there is a lot of men out there that are lonely, that they, you know, and some of it. Some of it is the devices. Okay, that is true. You know, we spent decades liberating ourselves from every social obligation, and now we're shocked that people are lonely or we're shocked that these. These things, these people that are in cells exist. Right? They're at home, they're alone. They're in the devices. They're reading manga. Right. Or they're playing video games. Now Tate is talking to some of them and trying to get them straightened out, but the other side of this does nothing for, you know, Judeo Christian civilization. I mean, it's. It's basically, again, going back to Your book turning women once again into a commodity.
• 25:13
Speaker C: Right. And I mean, just, you know, going back to Tate there for a minute, that's what he was arrested for. Right. That's how he was making his money, was basically objectifying or not objectifying, but
• 25:25
Speaker B: he was luring women in to become cam girls, I think.
• 25:28
  Speaker C: Exactly, exactly.
• 25:29
  Speaker B: Like only fans.
• 25:30
Speaker C: But of course, his clients were, were of course men. And he would talk about how he coached girls to basically string men along and rob them of like tens of thousands of dollars.
• 25:41
  Speaker B: Right.
• 25:41
Speaker C: That would him give to him. So he had some good r. Talking about how you need to work hard, all the rest of it. But the rest of it was just him basically training prostitutes and he was a pimp so that his prostitutes could bankrupt and make lonely as many men as possible. So he was just, just a hugely evil person. But, but he benefited from, from the collapse of marriage. And that when you have young men who are no longer trying to, and are no longer expected to become an adult and get married when they become 18 or so, then you have people that are lonely sitting around and they're going to be attracted to porn. They're going to be attracted to only fans and cam girls and the rest of it. And that, of course, creates opportunities not just for the Andrew Tate's of the world, but for, you know, all the huge pornography industry, gambling industry that we have now.
• 26:29
Speaker B: Sure. And you know, we go from polygamy to monogamy. Fast forward to, you know, 21st century here. Technology has allowed to some degree, it has allowed polygamy to return because whether it's Tinder or some of these dating apps, I mean, you can sort of just put women in a roulette wheel and have a different one on a turnstile every, every week and just sample this and sample that and then move on. Yeah, absolutely. It's detrimental. Yeah.
• 27:02
Speaker C: When, I mean, when you look at any of the data from the dating apps, it's only like the top 5 to 10% of men that get like 90% of the likes and interests from women. Whereas for, for men, it's much more of a bell curve of who gets interest in and who doesn't. So it is that in the sense that before you had, at least under polygamy, you had the men that, you know, the, the richest men providing some type of resources and comfort for the women. But in the modern dating app, you have all these chads at the top who are bagging all the women and then the women become resentful towards all men and basically give up and, you know, think men are terrible and move on entirely. Whereas with, you know, monogamy, you have both sides acting within kind of more social expectations of what is and was not appropriate. And you have more of them pairing off, which, which then leaves more women for single men to create lives together with.
• 27:59
Speaker B: Sure, sure. What I find fascinating in the book, and I was chuckling because it's hard to sort of think of it this way. We talk about technologies of Tinder and only fans and match.com and all the rest of it. And I. And look, some people are able to find partners that they wouldn't find any other way. You know, I talk. In my first book, the Woking Dead, I wrote a section called How I Did Not Meet yout Mother. Okay. Which is based on How I Met yout Mother. Right. And, and how, you know, the MeToo movement in particular, you know, stopped. I mean, men already had a problem, right? They're being a wallflower or not asking the girl out to the dance of the prom or the homecoming, whatever. But now you've got this Me Too movement. And then eventually Covid and COVID lockdowns where, you know, how do people meet their spouse? They meet them at work, at church, through their daily routine. You, you know, you see this, you see this good looking brunette in line at Starbucks every Tuesday because her, you know, her schedule overlaps with yours. That's your moment to say something. And now you've got these nuts in the pink pussycat hats. Madonna's out front of the White House saying she's going to blow it up. Ashley Judd is screaming and all the rest of it that, you know, psyching Gen Z and Younger out into thinking that all men are predators, all men are, you know, toxic. Masculinity's got to go. You know, you say hi to someone on the elevator, you might be a rapist. And you get pushed into a smaller, smaller box where you can't even make a move on someone. Right.
• 29:35
Speaker C: Yeah. I mean, not only that, but unfortunately we have one political party devoted to inculcating and growing that identity. And that you have the Democrats who know that single women are their most loyal constituency. And so when you look at things like, you know, go back to President Obama's Life of Julia, that his campaign in 2012. Yeah, all about this.
• 30:00
Speaker B: God about that. Yeah.
• 30:01
Speaker C: It was all about the single woman who goes through entire life and never has a man in her life at all. Somehow there's a baby. She has a baby. Magically. Who knows how that happens? We're not told, but the father is never seen. You think this, this didn't end with Obama?
• 30:16
Speaker B: Well, no. I mean, in some ways it started with Murphy Brown and Dan Quayle fighting with each other. Remember that? I mean, I don't know whether you remember.
• 30:21
Speaker C: Not only, not only to remember that I mentioned in the book, Murphy Brown has come back and since admitted that he, Dan Quayle was right.
• 30:27
Speaker B: I know. Candice Bergen. Right, exactly. No, exactly. Right. So what I find fascinating, we're talking about modern technology and polygamy. You call marriage in the book a technology, that marriage is a technology. Right. And then.
• 30:41
Speaker C: Yeah, monogamy is. Yeah, it's a cultural technology. You can serve any type of culture.
• 30:45
  Speaker B: Right?
• 30:46
  Speaker C: Yeah.
• 30:46
Speaker B: And it, you know, one of the greatest technological innovations wasn't the wheel, wasn't agriculture or indoor plumbing. It was getting powerful men to settle down with one woman. Right. So Christianity comes along and it performs the greatest sexual redistribution in history. It's one of the redistributions we like, I guess. Right. So. Well, you have one wife.
• 31:12
  Speaker A: Cool it.
• 31:13
Speaker B: Right. And, and I think this is why Western this, I mean, look, I talk about Western civilization all the time. I talk about comedy and not just, not just you know, basically post Jesus, Western civilization. Go back to Greece and Rome and, and come forward with Judeo Christian philosophy. But this has to be. And you make the case a lot of different ways, why we are special and why we are more successful than other civilizations. Am I right?
• 31:44
Speaker C: Yeah, absolutely. I mean, I just want to push back on the idea a little bit that Rome had monogamy like we did. They, they did not. They had, they had a form of monogamy, but it was.
• 31:54
Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, right, right.
• 31:56
Speaker C: In this, in the sense that Roman, Roman citizens could have sex with whoever they wanted. Whenever I read that otherwise in slaves,
• 32:04
Speaker B: whatever else, just not regardless of gender. Yeah, no, I know.
• 32:06
Speaker C: Right. And of course that that's what Christianity changes.
• 32:09
Speaker B: Well, I wasn't saying that. I mean, I, Caligula, Nero are doing, believe me. I'm just saying we talk on this show a lot about the West. Right. But in particular in, in the, in, you know, in. From Jesus's birth till now, the ability to create the nuclear family the way you describe and the ability to have one wife. This is a success story. And it does, it doesn't shock me that cultural Marxists want to destroy it. I talk about it all the time. They don't, they don't like the middle class, they don't like Western civilization. They don't like the nuclear family. And you know, you, you show the entire timeline of this in the book.
• 32:50
Speaker C: Yeah, absolutely. So, I mean, I don't want to make it seem like, you know, Jesus is resurrected and the next day Europe is suddenly monogamous. Right. That's not how it happened.
• 32:59
  Speaker B: No.
• 32:59
Speaker C: Right. So, I mean, the Catholic Church, over a series of centuries had what Harvard professor Joseph Heinrich called the marriage and family program. And this wasn't necessarily essential, but it all stemmed from the teachings of Jesus and basically included a ban on polygamy, a ban on inheritance to illegitimate offspring, a ban on arranged marriages. That, that's very key because a lot of polygamous patriarchal power was transmuted through arranged marriages between cousins, which of course we still have in much of Islam and polygamous cultures. And then finally an outright ban on cousin marriage. And it is these four policies that really created the monogamous cultural norm that we have in the West. And through this you're able to break down patriarchal clan based power structures and allow the emergence of voluntary associations like guilds, universities, charter cities. And it was these non family organizations that then became the glue of civil society that allowed democracy and, and industrial revolution to come along.
• 34:04
Speaker B: Absolutely. And you know, we're going to take a break here in a second. You know, it's funny, I think recently I saw that the UK just started allowing cousin marriages because of the amount of Pakistani and Bengali immigrants that are there. I mean, that's, that is kind of crazy that, you know, that as, as the west starts to collapse and you know, you have a reverse crusade going on where Middle Eastern, Middle Eastern, you know, cultures are coming in, they are bringing polygamy back to the land of the Union Jack. What do you think about that?
• 34:42
Speaker C: It's a tragedy. I'm almost lost for words. It's an invasion. It's an invasion. Or, or, you know, not a re. Invasion, but, but it's invasion. And the way they're just letting it happen, I mean, to be a poor British voter over there who went through the agony of having to vote for Brexit and then to have the new Conservative prime minister come in and just be even worse on immigration. Right, Absolutely. I'm not Trump's biggest fan, but, you know, by God, we finally found someone who's willing to enforce immigration law and it's tough, it's tough to find someone to do that. But, you know, and that's why it's so sad. What's happening in the UK is that you're a voter there and it just seems like no matter what party you vote for. No matter what candidate you vote for, all you get is more open borders and more invasion.
• 35:27
Speaker B: Absolutely. And, you know, it's going on in Northern Ireland, too. I mean, at some point, you got to think to yourself that, you know, the oldest parts of the west are going to. Are going to wake up. I mean, I know Eastern Europe, Poland and Hungary and some of these places, they're. They're behaving the way Trump does here, and they're keeping the invasion at bay. But, you know, the idea that. That the UK could just be overrun the way it is is just. Is just nuts. We're going to take a break. We're talking to Con Carroll. His book Sex and the Citizen, how the assault on Marriage is Destroying democracy. Everybody go get a copy of this. We're going to take a quick break. We'll be back on the other side.
• 36:06
Speaker C: It is amazing, AJ like, how did we get. How is this reality right now so different? 20 years ago, we're not having this conversation, you know, about some guy who's saying that he's now a woman who's yelling at people in a. In a game store saying, it's ma'.
• 36:26
  Speaker B: Am.
• 36:26
Speaker D: You don't call me ma'. Am. Excuse me, it's ma'.
• 36:29
  Speaker B: Am.
• 36:30
  Speaker D: It is ma'.
• 36:31
  Speaker A: Am.
• 36:31
Speaker C: Like, this stuff just didn't exist. And now this is.
• 36:34
  Speaker D: It's.
• 36:34
Speaker C: How did this happen, A.J.
• 36:37
Speaker B: the social contagion, my friend, social contagion mixed with peer pressure becomes a peer contagion, and it has spread like a mass delusion. We need trans people. We love trans people. Trans people belong here. We've had others, you know, in the last 10 years, we've had others. But when something like this that makes up a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of society gets picked up by the Democrat Party, by academia, by our friends in Hollywood, by members of the media, and everyone pretends that underneath, you know, the Democrat Party skirt, there are 72 genders. You have a giant problem, and it spreads like wildfire.
• 37:28
Speaker D: You should be women. And yet your beards forbid me to interpret them that you are so. Someone once said comedy is the art of turning horror into humor. That's the essence of the Curse of the Bearded Lady. Laughing in the face of madness before it devours us whole. Nothing in living memory has been funnier or more horrifying than a movement convinced there are 72 genders. Boys have a penis. Girls have a vagina. The curse of the bearded lady. The curse of the Bearded Lady. The trans mafia has whipped America's sanity. It's Monty Python by way of mingalo. Absurd theater with real victims. I'm not here to conduct a medical examination of the trans mafia. This is a cultural autopsy. If Billy Shakespeare could write tragedies, histories and comedies, why can't I? The radicals refuse to surrender their gender mad stranglehold on America's vital institutions. This book will show how we got here, how we fight back and how the Democratic Party's obsession with mainstreaming the bearded lady will doom it to political extinction. Stay locked in with the man who slayed the Woking dead. This is Dangerous Laughter with AJ Rice on the Publius Media Network.
• 39:07
Speaker B: Back on dangerous laughter. I'm A.J. rice. Remember, our job is to transform horror into humor. We're going to try to do that in this segment coming up here. I've got Khan Carroll, author of the book Sex and the Citizen and you know, cons, over at the Washington examiner, commentary editor, go check out all his columns, follow him on. I mean I, I've got, I've got some pieces here of cons and I'm going to get to them today. One about the boys, the Boy Scouts, one about Taylor Swift. I would be remiss. Khan, in the recent news cycle, okay, you know, there were a couple days in the, in recent news cycles where most of our TV programming had on one side of it the death of Dolly Parton who was married for 60 years to a man she met at a laundromat who died last year. And she, she has passed recently with a fight against cancer. A lot of us weren't quite sure what she died of. But that turns out to be what she, which he likely died of. Now here's a role model, here's someone married 60 years. She had all different types of fans. She had, you know, straight fans, gay fans, country fans, rock and roll fans, British fans. I mean, you know, everyone from the, the, the, the late Queen of England to first ladies of the United States. She was a no nonsense girl, cared a lot about kids, cared a lot about kids reading. So I've got that on one side of my screen. On the other side of my screen I've got Lindsay Clancy, okay, mother of the year and you know, real wife material, that one. And not just her and the insanity of the murder of her three children. But we've got, we've got women and I think these are some of the women that you're talking about in this book defending her. They're, they're, she, they're super fans. Now the super fans of Lindsay, Clancy. They're. They're in the courtroom. They're outside the courtroom. Chris, see if you could grab some pictures of the. Of these. These. This wife material in the courtroom. See some of these faces? I mean, they really. Yeah, look, they're having a great time. Look. You know, gentlemen, one of these women could be yours here. I mean, it's just grotesque. So in the larger theme about our culture and our civilization, if you want, weigh in on Dolly and weigh in on the super fandom of this woman who murdered her three children.
• 41:44
Speaker C: Yeah, I mean, with Dolly, this is just, you know, the. The epitome of the American dream and. And, you know, being. Living the life as you should. I mean, like you said, met her. His. Her husband young, and he instantly fell in love with her and decided he was going to do whatever he could to make her happy, and he did, and they lived happily ever after. Unfortunately, she had some health issues. They weren't able to have children. But, you know, as you said, she had tons of charity work helping specifically kids learn how to read, you know, everything about what America about and what the family values is about. You know, Dolly epitomized. And it's a great story, and, you know, I wish people would focus more on that. But, you know, when it comes to. What's the name about Massachusetts, I remember, you know, I had some people early on come in and say, you know, oh, and our story and that. I'm like, you're fine. You do whatever you want. But this is just one of those stories that gives me the heebie jeebies. I don't even like to think about it, but I think, you know, when you start looking at the. The fandom surrounding it, you know, it just comes out of that partisanship that I talked earlier and that a lot of these single women just see singleness as part of their identity, and they just have it built into their heads that marriage is oppression and that married women are unhappy. And that's just not true. Just looking at polling, you can see that married women with children are the happiest and that single women without children aren't quite the unhappiest. Single women with children are the unhappiest, but single women without children are also very unhappy. But there's also longitudinal data to back this up. There's a great study out of Harvard recently that looked at nurses across the country and followed which ones got married, which ones didn't. And across every outcome, health, happiness, income, all of them, the married women fared better. So it's Just untrue. That marriage is oppressive or that marriage only benefits men. Marriage benefits men and women. And the happiest women in our society are those ones that are married.
• 43:44
Speaker B: Yep. Yep. And you know, I love, I've been tempted to, you know, we'll see if he becomes president. I might have to do it, but J.D. vance, you know, took heat for talking about the unmarried cat ladies. Yes. Living alone, all miserable, you know, trickle down misery. They love that. They got Taylor Swift playing in the background. You know, I've heard maybe it was him, maybe it was Josh Hawley, might have been Mike Lee. I don't know. I've heard both analysts and I think someone, I mean senator out the make this point. I want you to weigh in on this there. These women, you know, that, that rogues gallery that the audience just saw there in the courtroom, LINDSAY clancy, Courtroom that they have replaced the caretaking of children, the caretaking of a family or a home or a husband with the caretaking of whatever the social justice warrior menu item of the day is. And that they nurture that, that they feed off of that, that that's what drives them, the activism is what drives them. That they don't need a husband because they've got wokeism or they've got whatever it is. Do you, do you, you think that there's some truth in that?
• 45:05
Speaker C: Yeah, absolutely. I, I think it's more of like an identity thing where, you know, they, you know, know kind of try to figure out who they are. Well, where they are in the world. And you have the Democratic Party telling them that they're, they're, they're single women and that if, you know that that's how they can attain victimhood. Right. The further you are away from a white male, the, the less oppressor you are. And so you've had this ideology of oppressor versus oppressive pushed through college students forever. And you know, white women have internalized, especially collegiate ones. And so they figure as far away as they can stay away from white men, that means they are, you know, not going to be oppressors. And so they start identifying with all of these more kind of whatever the angst of the day is. Right. As you put it, because, because it is constantly changing. You know, are there are the most depressed gays and lesbians? Is it African Americans or is it the people in Gaza?
• 46:01
  Speaker B: Right, right.
• 46:02
Speaker C: There's a flavor of the day to this, you know, oppression, you know, wheel of fortune as it is. And whichever is hottest at the moment, that's what they identify with. And that's what they then develop, then give all their care and thought into.
• 46:17
Speaker B: That's right. Let's talk about someone that maybe should use Dolly Parton as a role model. And instead of somebody like, I don't know, JLo or Elizabeth Taylor, my girl from Philadelphia, Taylor Swift, who endorsed Kamala Harris and signed the endorsement, Unmarried cat lady at the bottom. That was her message this summer. And I think Khan was probably invited to this, But I. On July 26, Khan wrote a, a piece here. Celebrity culture was a mistake. Now here's a, here's a girl
• 46:56
  Speaker C: who,
• 46:57
Speaker B: you know, I'm torn on because Philadelphia people are. We're homers. Like, you need to really be terrible for us to turn on you. So I, you know, I give a pass to everyone from Kevin Hart to Chris Matthews. I, I would say this was the wedding of the year happened this summer. I think it happened on 4th of July at Madison Square Garden. Here's a woman that made millions of dollars through, you know, having a new boyfriend and breaking up and having, and writing a song about it and having a new boyfriend and breaking up and writing a song about it. And here comes this big goofball from Ohio and I'm a huge fan of his brother. Obviously he played for the Eagles. And I Do, you know, Travis, Travis is fine. I don't know about the, the, the Pfizer commercials, but, you know, here's a guy that comes from a blue collar town and traditional background. Taylor grew up, you know, in sort of the suburbs, the triangle between Reading and Scranton and Allentown and philly off of 81. I know it well. And she gets married. So you. So the question is, will she follow Dolly's lead? And you talk about how celebrity culture was a mistake. How does this play into Sex and the Citizen? Like, you know, this is a role model to a lot of girls.
• 48:26
Speaker C: So I mean, first of all, I just, you know, hope I wish Taylor the best. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey. I hope they have a long marriage and, and many kids together. But the article I wrote, celebrity Culture was a mistake. Was, was using the hook that at their wedding you had people going through the trash outside and then selling it online.
• 48:47
  Speaker B: Exactly.
• 48:47
Speaker C: To just crazy people. Like, who would buy a trash. Who would buy trash to begin with. But trash from a celebrity wedding.
• 48:53
Speaker B: Trash from Taylor's wedding.
• 48:54
  Speaker C: Right, right.
• 48:55
Speaker B: On ebay later today.
• 48:56
Speaker C: This also goes, it goes into research that shows that you have a lot of these women that start forming these celebrity cultures and then, you know, they have Tay. Tay's or whatever else they call it and they identify. I'm a huge Taylor Swift fan. And then they devote. I was blown away by the number of hours these people spend per day creating and creating content to, to celebrate Taylor's life. And so at that point their identity becomes her celebrity. And in their community then is not like people in their actual daily lives. It's those other people they're meeting online and sharing their celebrity, you know, crush with. And these are mostly women, right? And so there are studies that show that these women then of course less likely to date, less likely to get married and of course all after all that, less likely to have children. And this is just a huge loss for society because there's, there's nothing gained by having women the, the, the world over the nation over obsess over one person's life that they're never going to meet and form this false sense of security with these people on line to the detriment because, you know, There are only 24 hours in a day. Ultimately what we choose to spend our life doing is zero sum. You're never going to be able to spend your life, you know, so efficiently that you grow hours in the day. So every day you, every hour you spend, you know, investing in this online celebrity culture community, that is not an hour you're spending with a, a friend. Let us a girlfriend or someone else, right? You're just sacrificing your real life online relationships for this, you know, weird offline online community.
• 50:34
Speaker B: Now I've, I put together a collection of fake people. These are, these are not real people. These are not real weddings. These are not real characters. But our culture, I think over the last, I mean some of these one, the, for this first one goes back to the 70s has been shaped by some of the people I'm going to put on the screen here. Some of these are good examples of marriages and, and couplings. Some are not. Some are fun, some are me just being a wise ass. I could have done 50 of these. I picked five. Let's talk, let's talk about some of these fictional marriages and how they, how they turned out. Chris, give me, give me that first image up there. There they, there they are. All right. Francis Ford Coppola's opening sequence of the Godfather here. There's the wedding party. I see Talia Shire getting married there. That is Jason Schwarzman's mother. It's Adrian from the Rocky movies. There's Brando, there's Jimmy Khan. There's a wider shot that has Michael in it and he Goes. And he. He gets Diane Keaton. Now this marriage here, which opens in a murder. It is. That's right, that's right, that's right. Well, a couple of people on the screen there end up dead.
• 51:47
  Speaker C: Yes.
• 51:48
Speaker B: More than one. Most of them, you know, Fredo gets it on the boat, Jimmy Khan gets it at the toll booth. You know, Marlon dies in the hospital. But this, you know, look, this is an iconic wedding. There's a whole story behind how they got the house and how they filmed it and the lighting and all the rest of it. There's a. There's a great show that was on Paramount plus called the Offer, which talks about the making of the Godfather and how it got made at Paramount, Gulf and West and owned Paramount at the time. But that's. That's an image that most Americans, if they've seen the Godfather, will recognize. Now give me this next celebrity couple here. All right, here we go. Now, this coupling here changed the trajectory of the galaxy. That would be Anakin Skywalker, AKA Darth Vader, and his bride, played by Natalie Portman, Senator Amidala, I believe at the time they gave birth to. They had twins that ended up saving the. The galaxy until Disney came along and ruined it for. Ruined it all for us there with the episodes, what was it, seven, eight and nine.
• 53:03
Speaker C: I don't wanna. I don't want to tell the. The Catholic Church how to run their business, but I do think it's unreasonable to have men swear off female intimacy altogether.
• 53:14
  Speaker B: Okay.
• 53:15
Speaker C: Which, of course. Which, of course, the Jedi did.
• 53:17
  Speaker B: That's right.
• 53:18
Speaker C: You know, obviously proved unworkable in. In Anakin's case.
• 53:22
  Speaker B: That's right.
• 53:23
Speaker C: But yeah, I mean, it's one of those things where it's like, you know, of course, if you're gonna make it so that all the marriage has to go underground, then I. I think things are going to turn out badly.
• 53:32
Speaker B: I'm gonna be her bodyguard.
• 53:35
Speaker C: That's good cover story.
• 53:37
Speaker B: I'm 19 years old. I've been assigned to. To Natalie Portman in her prime, like a smoke show. And I'm gonna try to stay celibate.
• 53:46
Speaker C: Right, right. There's that. There's that famous scene where she, you know, tries to break up with them. And of course, she's wearing, like, this super revealing, hot dress.
• 53:53
Speaker B: It's like, oh, my God, you're gonna
• 53:55
Speaker C: break up with a guy. No, that's not. That's not the outfit I would choose.
• 53:58
Speaker B: No way. And, you know, they had twins, and the twins went on to become badasses. We love Luke and Leia. Let's go to the, the next one. This is a disaster. This, Here we go. This is one of the greatest weddings of all time from Kill Bill. Okay, the opening scene. So, so this is from the opening sequence of volume two. So Kill Bill, Volume two, where you've got Carradine and Uma Thurman there. She's pregnant. She's getting married to some bozo down there. I think they're down in New Mexico or somewhere. And Bill comes to give the bride away. I mean, this is her, this is his kid that she's carrying. And little does she know that her former colleagues in the bottom part of that image there, the Deadly Venoms or whatever the hell they were called, were waiting outside to shoot the wedding up. And she miraculously survives. And then you get six hours of the bride's bloody revenge over two movies, right?
• 54:57
Speaker C: Well, yeah, I mean, I, you know, I, I've actually never seen Kill Bill, but I think anytime where you're a profession as an assassin, Marrow life is going to be hard. I mean. That's right, the Brad Pitt Angelina Jolie movie. Yeah.
• 55:09
Speaker B: Mr. And Mrs. Smith. Yes.
• 55:11
Speaker C: And of course, that broke up a real marriage, right, from that, that Brad, you know, ends up cheating and then has a relationship with Angelina Jolie and breaks up with Jennifer Anderson.
• 55:21
Speaker B: It did. It did. It was art imitating life there. He dumped Jennifer Aniston. That's right.
• 55:27
Speaker C: You know, the general rule, I think is, is that if you're going to be an assassin, you should probably just stay away from marriage generally.
• 55:33
  Speaker B: That's right. That's right. And that, look, if you haven't seen, I mean, I don't know whether you're a Tarantino guy, but I do, I
• 55:38
Speaker C: like, I like Reservoir.
• 55:39
Speaker B: It is, it is a masterpiece. It is a masterpiece. I, I, I kept the Red Wedding from Game of Thrones out of this because I don't want to bum anyone out. So let's be a little more positive here. For number four, Chris. There we go. Now, there's my guy, Steve Martin. This is a Jet. This is a Gen X.
• 55:55
Speaker C: Father of the bride, right?
• 55:57
Speaker B: Father of the bride. This is a something to strive for. Everyone would like to have Diane Keaton and Steve Martin as their parents. It's a great movie. Martin Short kind of steals the show as the wedding planner. This turns out good. You know, those first three great rom
• 56:13
Speaker C: com, they don't make enough rom coms these days.
• 56:14
Speaker B: They don't. They're afraid. I mean, in order to do it, you've Got to have a, a 300 pound blue haired and a black and all the. I mean you gotta, you gotta, you gotta like a sushi menu. You gotta check all the boxes.
• 56:25
Speaker C: But yeah, I mean, I think the last one I saw was Sydney Sweeney and what's his name? Glenn Wood.
• 56:31
Speaker B: Glenn pal. Yeah, they go there.
• 56:33
Speaker C: They were in, they were in Australia.
• 56:35
  Speaker B: Yeah.
• 56:35
Speaker C: And of course, of course the way they pulled it off is, it's, it's a gay wedding. It's like her brother's gay wedding.
• 56:41
Speaker B: Yeah, no, it's. I think it's, it's. Yeah, it's her. Her. Yeah. Somebody's like dudes, two women getting married. It's her sister.
• 56:49
  Speaker C: Women, whatever.
• 56:50
Speaker B: Sister's marrying a black chick and. But they'll. Look, it's a great movie. There's a lot of good people in it.
• 56:57
  Speaker C: Lots of fun.
• 56:58
Speaker B: I think it's one. I think it's called Anyone but you I believe. I think that's, that's what it was called. Yeah, but put Sydney Sweeney on the map. I mean, look, sometimes Americans just need, you know, big dumb fun. You know, they just need something to, you know, this stuff doesn't happen anymore. But yet. Father the bride. Father of the bride too. They're written by Nancy Myers, another Philly girl. Shout out to Nancy. Who went on to write, you know, and direct what women want and something's got to give and you know, so this was her. Her specialty is, Is the rom com. I think she's kind of retired at this point. I don't know. Why bring her back?
• 57:33
  Speaker C: We need more.
• 57:34
  Speaker B: I agree.
• 57:35
  Speaker C: Other than obsession.
• 57:36
Speaker B: So then for, for us millennials, this next couple. Right, There they are. I mean, this is, this is. We're all dreaming that we could be Jim and Pam on the Office. Most of us anyway. This, this star, these two were America's sweetheart couple for 15 years. I think they end up at Niagara Falls getting married too. Yes, that's right. So, so this, this turns out. Okay. So father the bride. Okay, this.
• 58:06
Speaker C: You couldn't do this today because it, it, it's been me too. And out of existence. Right. This is an office romance.
• 58:12
Speaker B: How dare you? I mean. Yeah. Yep. Now he, Jim. Jim Halpert was definitely a predator. Hitting on the. The set, the. The receptionist. So, ladies and gentlemen, we're talking to Con Carroll, commentary editor, the Washington Examiner. Before we go, just want to talk a little bit more about the book one on our way out here. It's called Sex and the Citizen. How the Assault on Marriage is destroying Democracy. We've got some good examples from film and TV and we've got some bad ones. But you know, what is the, what is the one section I always like to ask everyone that comes on here, you know, when you do interviews for this book and you have, what's the one area that, that no one asks you about that you think the audience needs to know about?
• 58:58
Speaker C: Sure. You know, really what came down to the assault on marriage really comes down to three Supreme Court cases between 1968 and 1973. First you have King v. Smith, which, which got rid of the man of the house rules that Congress had passed. Basically Congress had allowed states to
• 59:19
  Speaker B: have,
• 59:20
Speaker C: you know, make sure that women wouldn't have, weren't having relations outside of marriage in order to qualify for welfare. And of course once you get rid of that, welfare skyrockets and marriage falls apart. Then you have Eisenstart be Baird in 1972 and this is what basically legalized birth control for single women. Before that, states are allowed to keep birth control contraceptives just to married couples. And of course, once single women are allowed to have it all you want, the sexual illusion takes off. All of a sudden sex is free and you don't have commitment anymore. And then finally in 1973, you have middle versus California. And this is what basically makes it impossible to prosecute pornography. Instead of having, you know, you can prosecute pornography when it is obscene. Stuff can be obscene as long as it has some type of other artistic or intellectual purpose. And ever since then it's been hard to get juries to convict for pornography. And that of course then you see, have the golden age of porn takes off immediately after that and VHS's and then it's way worse today with porn or films 24 7. So with you, you have these, you know, this, this liberalization of putting autonomy over the family, putting autonomy over the common good really comes to a crux in this five year span in the Supreme Court. And it's, it's ever after that you've just seen, you can look, seeing the numbers, just the percentage of both men and women in the ages of 1845 has just gone sharply down ever since.

Speaker B: Yep. Look, and people need to look into that. I mean there's, there's always a legal framework for why the culture starts to fall apart. And Khan just outlined that. So where, where can people find you online? And, and I know you're, you know, you've got an archive at the Washington Examiner. Where else should people go get the book and find you on social media?

Speaker C: Yeah, the book's on Amazon. Just search for Sex and the Citizen. And then, of course, I'm also on Twitter at. Or, I'm Sorry, X@Con Carroll. And I tweet way too much, so check it out.

Speaker B: No, no, definitely. I've been following what you've been tweeting. And. And look, ladies and gentlemen, this. This is a fun book. It's a history book. It's a social commentary. Khan's been working his ass off. He's been at the Heritage Foundation. He's been on Capitol Hill. You know, he and I have got some similar crossover over the years. Sex and the Citizen by Kahn Carroll. How the assault on marriage is destroying democracy. Khan, thanks for coming on, brother.

Speaker C: Thanks for having me. It was for a lot of fun.

Speaker B: Absolutely. Always remember, ladies and gentlemen, we are unfit for polite society. Single people can watch this show, but, you know, married people, I think will get something out of what we just had. And always, always remember, we believe in the equal distribution of mockery here at Dangerous Laughter. And always remember, America, stay dangerous.

Speaker A: Dangerous laughter. Dangerous. Danger laughter. Dangerous laughter. Danger. Laughter.
