- 0:23Welcome back to the Millennial Mustard Seed podcast.
- 0:26I'm going to do things a little bit different for this mini
- 0:28episode. I've been doing some reflection,
- 0:32some deep reflection lately and just thinking about the times
- 0:36that we're living in and God just stirring and moving me to
- 0:40just go back to one of the poems I wrote called His Way.
- 0:45I've never read this one on air before, but really what's
- 0:49bringing me to do this is just realizing the significance of
- 0:54our generation and being born for such a time as this.
- 0:59I've spent a good amount of time covering things like exposing
- 1:04the darkness, the enemy's tactics, what he's been up to
- 1:08for quite a long time. And there's nothing wrong with
- 1:11that. But the shift that is here in my
- 1:13life is really just realizing the importance of our voice and
- 1:17the time that we've been given, redeeming the time that was
- 1:20lost. So I'm going to read the poem
- 1:24his way and possibly one other short poem at the end.
- 1:29But this is the poem that kicked everything off a few years back.
- 1:32I want to say like 21, possibly 22 early.
- 1:36I read this to Doctor Laura Sanger after an interview and
- 1:39she prophesied over his way and said it was going to go out to
- 1:44all four corners of the country and then eventually sweep out
- 1:48across the globe. She said it was going to call
- 1:51the faithful higher and the wayward home.
- 1:56And I'm just going to say it's in the book.
- 1:58We've sold the book on a couple continents.
- 2:00I've given away more copies than I've sold, which is it was never
- 2:04about making money with this book.
- 2:05It was just following what God was showing me, being humble and
- 2:09just being obedient. So if this poem moves you, send
- 2:14me an e-mail let me know. It certainly has moved me and
- 2:18many others who have heard it this far.
- 2:21I'm going to start to read now. His skin he skinned to cover
- 2:27washing one another. Wounded before winding times
- 2:31clock. His love would last, yet blood
- 2:34would drop. Born to us, meek, most consider
- 2:38this weak. He roamed away from his throne,
- 2:42entering a world that was his own, yet not known.
- 2:46The majesty made flesh here to taste of death.
- 2:51A son of man, the mission, his own.
- 2:54A kinsman, Redeemer without a home.
- 2:56A wandering worker, calloused hands, a growing spark.
- 3:00Mercy in his stature, forgiveness in his heart the way
- 3:04he is. The lion's pride.
- 3:07Behold the Lamb of God to die. Structures shook the earth with
- 3:12quake. The veil was torn.
- 3:14He took our place. Mighty horns blown, a piercing
- 3:18sound, Echoes of Victory's notes.
- 3:20Renowned, astonished, surprised, gaping gawk.
- 3:24The first of the risen through walls.
- 3:26He did walk. We marvel at the way the Maker
- 3:28paints a perfect picture. Flawless grace, a race to run
- 3:32for eternity's space. How high, how low, the
- 3:36omnipotence knows as the space within the spaces grow.
- 3:41He's risen to the highest height Our God alone could conquer
- 3:44Night. The morning comes, so wake and
- 3:47rise. Release the fear and wipe the
- 3:50tears from your eyes. Darkness has no power.
- 3:53Now He is risen and hope is found, and that is the
- 4:00completion of his way. And just as a little bonus, I'm
- 4:04going to read another poem out of the book.
- 4:08Page 27 It's called accidentally on purpose.
- 4:13Every moment of my existence is shadowed and graceful.
- 4:16Purpose, the pre written plan of God always floats to the
- 4:20surface. Every instance of blind effort
- 4:23made with hopeful jubilation contains all the divine elements
- 4:28of a wonderful collaboration. Acceptance and indifference play
- 4:32the opposite roles to keep each other in balance so to attain
- 4:36the actual goals. Reverence and meaningful
- 4:39relations blanket the entire decree, a melting pot of
- 4:43influence that simmers in reverie.
- 4:47Every situation I've encountered has taken me by optimal
- 4:50surprise. Although I have seen it coming
- 4:53accidentally, I'm sure it was devised.
- 4:59So that is this short episode. Just reading two of my poems out
- 5:04of my book. The words are salt.
- 5:07If these simple and humble poems moved you and touched you in any
- 5:11way, reach out to me. Send me an e-mail or comment on
- 5:16this episode if you're listening on Spotify, or go purchase a
- 5:20copy of the book and keep it on your night stand.
- 5:24Read through it. Many nights God woke me up at 23
- 5:28AM to write down a majority of these poems just when I was
- 5:33weeping and just crying out to Him.
- 5:34And really, that season never ends if you have, if you have
- 5:40humility. But this was a heavy season for
- 5:42me. 2020 through about 2022 was most of the developments of
- 5:49these poems that are in the book.
- 5:52It's about 87 pages long in total, but this was my way of
- 5:57just responding to some reflections about what Doctor
- 6:00Laura Sanger prophesied over his way.
- 6:04And really just thinking, you know what?
- 6:06I have the platform. God gave me this ability to be
- 6:11able to podcast. Why not start reading some of
- 6:13these poems intermittently as time goes on and see if it's
- 6:17helping any of you out there? Lord knows it's helped me.
- 6:23And that's it for this mini episode here on the Millennial
- 6:26Mustard Seed podcast. I'm going to ask that you guys
- 6:29would share this far and wide. Thank you for praying for me,
- 6:33for encouraging, for all the emails, and I just really am
- 6:38humbled and thankful for God to be using a broken and contrite
- 6:43vessel as as I am. I'm nobody special but He who
- 6:48lives and works in and through me, Well, special is an
- 6:53understatement when it comes to Him.
- 6:56God bless and goodbye. Music.
- 8:27I. Yeah.
