- Revisitation Rightspod: Look who decided to join us on the fucking he thought he was getting out because he he's the one that picked the Texas Chainsaw Massacre and fucking ruined my two weeks. Nah, you know, I'm as you can tell, this is a different background. I'm I'm home in my home bedroom that I grew up since I was four years old in ⁓ the great city or town, whatever you want to call it of Orlando, Florida. Is that you ⁓ in the background, Throwback Thursday? Yeah, that was when I was a fat, chunky Asian looking baby as a kid. What do you mean when? no baby. Huh? Wait, so before before we get into Texas Chainsaw Massacre, you got you gotta you gotta give a review on the Halloween horror nights. ⁓ yeah, dude, how was it? I don't know if this was my favorite year. I would probably say no. There were some good. I think the original house is kind of lacked outside of one. But I mean, someone I've I've been going since two thousand six. So obviously just to spend time with my sister came from Texas. My niece came from Texas. Consecutively? No. ⁓ I've been every year, but at least the first year I was in New York City. And then there was a couple of years where I started going to Hallow Screen because it's a little bit more intense. ⁓ before they, you know, did the budget cuts. But it was twenty consecutive. Yeah, I was like, bro, you gotta email them, bro. Get like some VIP packs. Thanks for mummy something. I mean straight, dog. Like what? If I was on social media more, then maybe I they could give because you they have a media night on the first week and there are people that go there literally every week. I mean, it starts in August and ends in November, which sounds insane for that many people to say, I'm not getting tired of going through the in the same house. And I can only imagine the scaractors saying, ⁓ you're here again? Like, bro. But it was cool. So it was cool because like again, dog. Were we gonna say Pat? What were the new houses this year? So they're all new. ⁓ I was actually talking They don't have reoccurring houses? Huh. No. Universal has an insane budget. I was actually looking it up out of curiosity and they make half a billion dollars just off of this event alone at Universal Studios. So what were the houses this year? Stranger Things, Hellraiser. Stop, stop, stop, stop. How is Stranger Things? I mean, I I don't watch the T V show, so I really know, but it was good. ⁓ mind you, we went on some of these bet the better houses in the beginning because this year, this is the first year that they start at two PM. Did it look like New York for real? Huh? Like did it look like upstate New York? The house see, I I don't I've never seen the T V show, so I don't I don't know the context, but yeah, we had that. Is the lighting orange as fuck in the house? It's very dark, but it there's so many people that they don't like you know, they don't pace you. So you're like right behind other person. So me, I'm like, I don't care. I'm gonna be first. So I saw the scares in front of us. And then I kinda slow down a little bit because my sister is behind me and she's just like p tugging on my belt and I'm like, I'm trying to move forward, but like I can't because you are too scared. So I would like slow down and I would let her get bam every single time. That's what I did too. Dude, that's what happened to me, bro. Some girl that I took to a haunted house one time, she was like yanking on my on my on my jeans. Like on my belt loop. Hey, yo, yo, I'm like, yo, you trying to give me a fucking wedgie or something? I'm like, I'm like, yo, you got sneakers on like me. Like, we could run together, bro. They don't gotta fuck. You not sacrifice me. I think the one that got me the most was definitely Hellraiser. And I don't know the context of that movie at all, but like it was pretty gory. And didn't I tell you show watch it? Who you calling pinhead? They have like these loops where they can go around this hole and get you, and then go around the other side and get you at the same time. And they were just coming out from left and right. And I was like, yo, this is insane. I don't listen to Ozzie Osborne, Ozzie Osborne's was like really, really good. It was really good. What what was his name? Did his son's room have the black walls? He just had a tribute house that I guess, you know, had been in report for a couple years. ⁓ that one was really good. It was really detailed, the houses and some of the music video recreations. Okay, so it was like ⁓ it was like an ode to his music, just with a heart like a with a haunted house attached to it. Okay. Yeah. Like at the end he was there was like a guy who was supposed to be Ozzy and he was just kinda sitting at like I guess his chair throwing whatever. Nobody else can be Ozzy but Ozzy That's why you get engaged in the gym. You're not listening to Black Sabbath. Hey, hey, before I hopped on, I I I cooked chicken, meal prepped a whole bunch of chicken breasts, two large chicken breasts, broccoli and rice. And I'm about to hit that before I go out tonight. So what was next? You had the Stranger Things. And I did a Go ahead, go ahead. And and you I did ⁓ it was leg day today, so ⁓ Eight hundred calories over here. Just just lower body. Bulgarian squats, squats, goblets. ⁓ we did some abs. ⁓ we did some hip thrusting. You know. So Stranger Things, Hellraiser, Ozzy Osborne, what else? Centers. How was that? Sherrun. Shout. I mean I I don't think it was scary. I already heard how it was, but I I want to get your opinion on it. I was told that the one in Hollywood is a lot better. I was a little underwhelmed 'cause it wasn't really scary, but I think some of the teams were cool. ⁓ Evil Dead Burn was also there, which it was very lackluster to me because it's such a franchise. Well, you know, the movie had The movie was shite. I would say The House is shite. I would say the new trilogy, I would say the last one was probably the weakest one out of all three of those. So it I guess it was a little bit on brand. I do want to add in real quick, my favorite song from Black Sabbath is Under the Sun. I think they had that house. They had something with ⁓ trains and some people. I was like, I don't I don't you know. And they had the dun, dun dun, dun dun, aye, aye, aye. They had that song. I was like, I know that one. That one I know. That one I know. ⁓ man. All right. So how was it overall? ⁓ my gosh. Overall. So I would say it was good. I mean, I don't really I didn't really like the scare zones. They had a Fortnite scare zone, which I know people were kind of 5050 on that. People doing the this and they had the you know this. So it wasn't scary. ⁓ you got people saying skib what was what's the phrase? Skibbity toilet. They had ⁓ killer clowns from outer space that was ⁓ scary. My little brother showed me that. Don't ask how was that? I have no idea. So like they were they were kind of dicks because I'm just trying to get like my niece was like, Hey, like I love killer clowns, it's like one of my favorite movies, and she's trying to get pictures, and I'm Hey, can you take a picture with my niece? And like, no. So I'm like running around and they were like moving as they I'm like, bro, I just I just want to take a picture for her. I don't care about you, but I want to take it because she likes you. I don't feel about you. Hollywood and they don't even Hollywood and they're not even in Hollywood. Chill out. Yeah. This is the most screen time you get, my boy. They had the Death Eaters from ⁓ Harry Potter and their land, which you know I don't I've never watched Harry Potter, I don't so I don't know any of the people like you know going crazy. ⁓ you don't watch Harry Potter? No. No, and then watch Harry Potter. No. And then they had, you know, the zone with these two guys here. I don't know if you can see it, but Oddfellow and Jack. So they were there. So I saw him, I got a picture. And he was he was tell telling me like, Well, you have a tattoo of me, I should sue you for copyright infringement. What? And then as as we're leaving the park, they're both at the very top. And the guy was like, Hey, you're the guy with the tattoo, right? And he's ⁓ let me see yours. Oddfellow's on the other side, and he's like Mine's bigger than yours. He's like, Yes, but I'm on top. ⁓ So they're both fighting as we left. So that was cool. That was a cool moment. My friend got that on camera. Yo, bro. That's gonna be the that's gonna be the intro. That's gonna be the intro. They need yo, them two need therapy. ASAP. Nah, you know, they're What the fuck is that whack as ego battle? Nah, you know, they were they were I need therapy, bro. Not you, them two. And then they said, Yo, let's let's get this money together. So, you know, they like, yo, let's let's do it together. All right. Like why fact why do you say that to someone else like that, bro? Let's pause. Today is Brandon's third installment of the Texas Chainsword Massacre. He thought he was gonna get out of this one. That's only Brandon. I actually remember I text you and said, Hey, like I got a small little gap in my schedule right now where I can hop on really quickly. Pause. Anyway, Texas Chainsword Massacre three. ⁓ since Brandon was thought he was gonna scape out, let's let's get your thoughts on three first. This was actually probably the Best out of the original three, in my opinion. It did have well there's original four. We didn't get to that one yet, though. I think you might like four point up to this point. There's there's three at this moment. So this is the one that I like the most. It it had a really kind of scary factor. I think again, the the family was a little goofy, didn't really make any sense. ⁓ I would have punched that little girl in the face if I had a chance to. But I might this time. Her lines were just ad-libs, bro. It was just like shut up. You fucking go go play with your Barbies or some shit, bro. Don't you get a dollhouse or some shit? Don't you got friends? And then they have my boy from ⁓ Keenan and Kel, the dad. Keenan's dad, Mr. Rockmore. He was in the movie. So I was so hyped to see him. Like, you know, in person. I was like, man, this is this is this is phenomenal. I forgot he was in Keenan and Kel. Holy shit. I liked how it started with kind of Leatherface, but then there was that small little goofy section where, you know, he tries to put the beats by Dre headphones on And then she's like, What are you doing? So I don't know if that was like the fuck, bro. Was he into her? He got mad. He took him back. He was like, headphones. You not fucking with my shit? Fuck you then. Now I'm gonna chop your ass up. Keep playing with me. It's it's ⁓ it's it's interesting, surprising that this would be I believe this is next to the original one. This is not counting for because we haven't got there yet. But I think this is a lot higher rated than the second one, but for some reason This one is nowhere available for streaming. I think this actually this one actually becomes available on to be I 'cause I checked it November first, which doesn't make any sense because it's Halloween season. I don't know why I need to do that. I don't I don't understand. I did see it it was harder to ⁓ to scour through the internet a little more for this one. Allegedly. Allegedly. Allegedly. Because you know, we paid you know, we paid. We paid. We paid to watch this movie. No, no, even just no, no, no. Not not for the movie, just to ⁓ to like learn more stuff like I guess behind the scenes of the film. ⁓ like little encrypted. I'm like like bro, what the fuck? Like, is this shit like do ⁓ do I need a password from like the director himself? Like, yo, Texas Chainsaw 3, 4, 5, for me to like figure out what's going on. I mean I still found stuff obvious obviously it's not hard to find, but it was a little I did have to dig a little through the internet to find more stuff. Yeah and ⁓ I I I brought up earlier in the group chat I think a little earlier 'cause I know that Pat has been very vocal about how bad this series is. Wait till we get to ⁓ the remake, Justin. You're not gonna be happy about that one. Anyways, you said that this franchise I just want to let you know. As of what's today's Impat pissed off, bro. Today's the today's the twenty seventh. Today's the twenty seventh. Completed the entire series. Even three D. You know, we have the the Nore'easter. So the I was supposed to do pre lighting. Yesterday that got canceled. ⁓ I'm sorry, I don't know what that is. ⁓ it's it's sunny and eighty and beautiful. ⁓ gosh, you even saw three D. Go fuck off. You even so you even saw three D? I I finished I finished actually no, that's I didn't finish. I have ⁓ I wanna say I'm up to like the the last twenty minutes of the the final one. ⁓ which one's that one? The the re the Netflix? The yeah, the Netflix one. Damn, so that was ass too. So before we get that far, I'm just gonna say this is probably the worst horror franchise ever made. Yo, I was gonna say that, but I was gonna save, I was gonna reserve my judgment until the end of the show. So when we do the when we do the wrap up, I'm really gonna get into it, but ⁓ this is definitely. I was like, yo, Leatherface is permit, bro. Personally, I have one that's that's that's actually ⁓ I would rank below this the series. How many films does it have? So we it has to be comparable. So at least seven. No, no. So this is very popular. I know it's going to be extremely controversial. All right. But I'm just going say put Scream under this franchise. I think Scream is a worse franchise than this. But you they're complete Sc Scream is tech is not really a horror. It's not really a horror franchise. Is it? Is it not? I would definitely disagree with that. I don't think I would. I mean, maybe in general. I mean it's I think it's it's not really horror. It's I think that's the jar that's called horror. You have to call it horror, but I it's not horror at the same time. ⁓ is it more of a slasher? Anyway, no, I think it's just more satire than anything. I I don't really get horror when an like all right, Ghostface, Slasher, I get that. But the films themselves are not in black comedy. I would go more black comedy than horror. And but it does say slash horror, like as a genre breakdown. I I just wouldn't technically call it A horror franchise because it's it's more than that. Elevated horror. Your favorite word. Stone door. So I'm gonna I was kind of indifferent with this one. So technically on the horror level, it definitely felt like it was going for more of a traditional horror. They raised the notch on this. Yeah. So I kind of feel like they smoothed out the details, but then lost everything that made the first two different, right? So I ⁓ After last week, we know I hated two, but it had its own identity. The lady reminded me of the fucking commercial I used to watch, bro. I was like three felt she gave me PSD. It felt like generic nineties horror. Which it didn't. Yeah, no, I I a hundred percent agree. I feel like that's what they aimed for too. Cause it's like they wanted to they wanted to kinda I feel like that was like really around the time when they're like, all right, can we like start competing with like Jason and like Michael Myers and Freddie Cougar and shit. But see, with that, I don't think it felt as campy as those franchises had gotten at that point. Because at that point they were just over the top goofy in the late 90s. This was like them trying to separate from that. So two was like it had as bad as it was, it had its own identity. One had its own identity. ⁓ but this one had like more structure in the story. It was less campy than two. ⁓ you know, the as dumb as they were, the the new like family dynamic gave it like a little more to play with. And it it kind of it was bad. Like it by no by no means was this a good movie. It was still a bad movie. But I think that it trying to become conventional hurt it more than it helped it. So part one had its own distinctive grime and grit and ⁓ just overall like sense of hopelessness to it. Like we we understand. Looking back, like I really enjoy the first one a lot more. Every time I watch the first one, I enjoy it more and more. Two went over top with the campness, with the campiness. All right. So like when you said it would have been good on its own without being a Leatherface movie, I could see that. As it being like a standalone, campy, cheesy horror. It probably would have been three or four points higher if it was not Texas Chainsaw Massacre. And then this one kind of like, all right, let's settle in, let's start to do like a real slasher, let's get Leatherface to where people are afraid of him. And it never really happened. Didn't it? Because it was missing tension. No, he was Leatherface. Well, they changed the names throughout now watching all nine of them. They change the name every fucking every two movies. They change the guy's name to something different. There's no there's really What is it? Yeah. The Sawyer. Well, the Sawyer's been there from the beginning, but that's the only mainstay. But like it was missing the tension. No, I know Sawy I know Sawyer's the original. There's like S like Slaughter family or like Slawyer family or some shit like that. Yeah, there's Sawyer and then there's the ⁓ like a tie between like Slaughter and Carson, I think. Carson was a family. But then it was missing like the one I really like. The one the one I really like is the Hewitt family. That's ⁓ the one I like the most. That remake. So he like you we didn't get like the crazy gore and the crazy insanity of the second one. We got no tension, no dread of the first one. The cinematography was bad in this one. ⁓ the family, although I didn't like it. No. I didn't like the cinematography on this one. It it just felt very paint by numbers, generic horror movie. So I I did like it. Yeah. Like there was really you could have just took Leatherface out and put any other character in there and it would have been the same exact movie. Like it wouldn't it didn't feel like a Texas chain to him. Even though we had the you know, you they kind of forced the family in there. The family really wasn't like they were a little girlfriend. It just it didn't I don't know. It just ⁓ I like the story aspect because it it like it was kinda like it it was a little more than just trying to survive Leatherface. So they they did give you like a little bit more story there, more character interaction. When ⁓ when what's his name? I forget his name in the ca in the in the movie, but Ken Foray. When ⁓ Roger came in. And Ken Kell. Respect the guy's name. God damn. Roger Rockmore. And he was Joe and and he was Joe Grizzly. He was Joe Grizzly and Halloween two, I think, or the first one he said. We have been Halloween, but you wanted to do this. So Halloween we can't we can't count. We don't don't know. But like like even the directing in this movie, like it was controlled. Like everything was at like it was moving like a real horror, but then it lost its identity. Like it was just pain by numbers. Like it had nothing that stood out like the first two. Even though I didn't like the second, it was its own movie and it stood out and it was definitely a choice. This one just felt like they were ch sh Yeah. But It's still a choice. Like you take a swing, you miss, it's all good. Like I I appreciate the swing. This didn't take a swing in anything. It just wanted to play it safe. Like even even the editing, like just super safe. Like nothing really like the first one, they were cutting people off mid sentence and going to a different scene. Like the editing in the first was horrible, but it was a choice. That's what I'm saying. Like it it just it feels like it tried to become a normal horror franchise. And then I don't think like Texas Chainsaw should not be normal. Like it should be it should have its own identity. This one didn't. Yeah. Th this so it's like after watching this, ⁓ I actually have it so far. I know we haven't re re reviewed the other ones, but so far the first three, I have it in opposite order in terms of likability. It would go three, two, one for me. one is one that I just kinda would not return to just because it it it's not scary in my opinion, and they don't show enough of the gore of the kills, in my opinion. A little goofy, but you know, there is a little bit of charm with me in the eighties in that period. And I think this one also wasn't scary, but I was I was kind of locked in a little I was locked in more with this one than I was the first one for sure. A hundred percent. And I can see why I was also saying, I think I had brought up earlier, but I know you said, Hey, this franchise needs to die, but you know, I I so I would ask, you know, so I would ask, you know, honestly, because I know you You're you're you're I know you were a fan of what they were able to do with the movie given the budget, but they have the same director from Obsession doing the reboot for the next text chain song. So do you no think okay. 'Cause he's a really big fan. He's a really big fan of the franchise. Everybody that's tackled it has quote unquote been a really big fan. Allegedly. I mean the you they have to No. Russell no I don't From what I seen of him. So like when Milk and Cereal. So I saw so I saw Obsession. I I did not like milk and cereal at all. I didn't either I didn't like Obsession, but I liked it better than Milk and Cereal. ⁓ like I saw so I remember we were talking about something and I went back and watched a few of his skits and everything. ⁓ I mean, it's gonna be goofy horror like Obsession was, then yeah. I mean I could see that being along the lines of part two. But ⁓ I I think I still I liked three better than two and one, just the cinematography on one and just like the feel of it is better than any part of the entire series except for one movie. When we get to it, I'll talk about it. There was one movie I liked as a movie. You know why though? Because I think the first Texas Chainsaw, the filming conditions were very raw as it was. That's what I was gonna say. That's what I was gonna say. It's like I remember watching ⁓ I forgot his who who who was ⁓ the first guy who played Leatherface. I forgot his name. Shit, I don't know. Fuck I forgot his name. Toby Hopper? No, he was the he was the writer director. No. It's ⁓ Gunnar Hansen. Yes. Rest in peace. He passed? ⁓ yeah it was a long time ago. So ⁓ I was watching like one of his interviews and he was like this was probably one of the hardest films I've had to ever do. He's like the the the weather conditions, it was like a hundred plus every day in Texas. So it's not your regular hundred degrees. Yeah. It's not your regular hundred degrees. You have the humidity on top of that. You know f you know, fourteen to seventeen hour days of shooting, seven days a week. So that it's like you could feel that's why like I've started to appreciate the first one more and more. ⁓ especially after like watching the third one because I feel like the third one is a little more Like past that like on the safe on the safe side, they want it to do well in theaters. ⁓ this film cares about the opinion a little more than the first one. You know? It cares about the opinion of the viewer, my opinion. They had the general audience's opinion in mind. And just I guess, you know, the overall influence of like where horror movies were going. And, you know, they they Took that to account a little more for the third than definitely, you know, definitely more than the first and second. Yeah, and and then there's another thing that you have to realize about the original is the the marketing that they can't replicate because I've there was a documentary I think I saw about this like a long time ago when they were kind of talking about how it's connected to Psycho and Science of the Lambs with Ed Ed Geen. And, you know, they marketed the first one as this is based on a true story, which was Not entirely true. You know, it was kind of fabricated. So people were actually thinking, yo, there's actually was a Leatherface person, which we will also see in some of the later films that they did kind of make some found footage, super eight stuff to make it look like he was real. But he was Leatherface was never a real person. It was pulled from someone who did certain elements from this character. But you know, after people kind of found out that that wasn't entirely true, then, you know, there I think that That's where some of that excitement kind of goes. I'm like, all right, this is a made of person. And they kinda took him and they made him a little hokey, a little goofy, and then the family's a little goofy. It's not really serious. It's like, ⁓ we're cannibals and ⁓ mystery meat, chili, Sunday, you know, cook offs, you know, all this type of stuff, which in my opinion wasn't really needed. Hey Junior, look what I got you, boss. Freaking guitar hero ass chainsaw. No. Not three D, but the one after. 3D? Was that Leatherface? Leatherface. I think so. Holy shit. ⁓ my God. I I can't wait to get to that one. I I'm just gonna mute you guys and talk for the entire hour. I was so fucking angry watching that. So angry. But anyway, you know the ⁓ the you know the they were doing it and you know the dead guy and our no no no no she was into something different. Hey Pat, she was in something different over there. I ain't never seen that in my life. I don't want to. That's that middle of the that's that middle of the US type shit, bro. They be doing that weird stuff out there. But hey, they they don't have access to ⁓ a Bravo or Whole Foods like us, so you know you know, hey, meets me, right? It's so protein, right? I guess I guess Damn, there's no Whole Foods out there, so they're just forced to become cannibal. It technically it's a whole food. Right? So it's a whole food. Hey Pat what what do you say? Meets me, right? He said that. He said that in the movie. He said, Hey, meets me. Meets me major pause. Time out. Flag on the play. That's crazy. See, I this this movie's a little difficult to talk about because it there's not much to it. Like it was very just okay. Like, you know, it wasn't it wasn't as you know entertaining as ⁓ yeah. It was just like you knew what was gonna happen and like you didn't fear you know what it's I think I think the problem is Leatherface should have been treated like Jaws. So he shouldn't be in the entire movie. You know, he should be something that pops up every once in a while to to frighten. Like an anomaly. That was the that was part of the mystique of Jaws is that you didn't really see him. You only seen him like two or three times throughout the whole movie. And you never really seen him in full until the end, which I think part one did very well with. Like when he took the I forget the guy's name, Hank or Hal or whatever the first The first guy he took in the house. Same first. Yeah, same shit. For victim number one. Yeah. You you saw him quickly. Like you didn't see him like in in full. Like you just saw him he grabbed and then ran right back, hit him with the hammer, ran right back into the room. So like, ⁓ shit. Like you know there's trouble back there. All right, it's really gonna, it's really gonna ramp up. And then it never amped up. So and then you started seeing him and he became he was dancing with the chainsaw. And then part two took that even worse. And then part three, they didn't do any of that. And I I feel like if you went with him being, you know, stunted mentally, you kinda have to do that throughout. Like you can't just keep changing every film and make it different. Crazy part is I think I think Gunner Hanson had real blades on the chainsaw when he was doing the dance. That's crazy. So that's crazy. And and I would probably s I would probably say based off of the fucking nuts, bro. The you know the second The second one came out and they probably just got such a bad reception, you know, because it it wasn't critically acclaimed or, you know, got good. Didn't they get less money for this film after the after the second one came out? ⁓ this one had more, I believe. This one had more? I think so, but ⁓ I got the I got the I got this in Iron Giant budget confused. Sorry. The the the point that I was gonna ⁓ was I was I was gonna make was, you know, they they obviously didn't have good reviews for the second one because of probably the tone. So they said, hey, like let's go back over to that original side. Let's see if this works because whatever that we tried to do, it was not Yeah, that shit was a Broadway plate, dude. I was like, what the fuck is this? So the second Texas chainsaw had between four point five and four point seven million. And okay, yeah, you are right. This one had between two and two point five. So I was right. It had it had a smaller budget. But and and at the box office it hit ⁓ five point eight mil. And it was ⁓ produced by New Line Cinema, which you know the same fr ⁓ same production company that had a lot of success with Freddie. That's where you that's where you get that that that bland seasoning from. But at that point, kinda ⁓ you know, at that point w w what was Don't be mad at me. This was ninety five. Don't be mad at me for saying it. So Nightmare and Om She also is a little it had gotten a little by that. It was already past it it was already past his prime. Yeah, that's when they kinda started making Freddie like a character of himself. Yeah, one died three and part of four. After after the second half of four and on, that was it. Yeah, Freddy fans, you you guys you guys got like Jordan in the Wizards. You know what I mean? Yeah, and I'm looking at you you you don't have prime Michael Jordan as a villain or as a as an evil ⁓ horror character. That belongs to ⁓ Freddie and ⁓ I mean Jason and Michael Myers. And I'm looking at the director, ⁓ he's also passed away, his name is Jeff Burr, who this is the one who directed the third one, but All of his films that he made were also kinda like low tier budget movies. I mean, I think the only one that is the only two that would be recognizable would be ⁓ The Stepfather Two, which, you know, the obvious one was remade. And then ⁓ he did like Pumpkin Head Two, which the first one was good. But you know, after that it just got really Yeah. I heard they're doing a new one too. He he made a couple Puppet Master Puppet Master movies ⁓ All these other movies that he did, like ⁓ I ain't never seen them. All right, so maybe Texas Chainsaw Massacre isn't the worst franchise because you got Puppet Master still there, but the worst the worst mainstream. So I I would say it's the worst mainstream horror franchise, Texas Chainsaw Massacre. What what are you basing it off of? It does it does have the weakest it has the weakest all nine movies. The weakest movie, ⁓ like the weakest movies just out of the entire franchise. Because I'm gonna Would you which I'm gonna go on a limit? But ⁓ I mean I I know this is obviously they haven't made as many, but would you consider like Candyman? What about Saul? I mean Saul would also be a good contender because it it it after I think the second or third one it dropped fast. Yes and no, because in between there was some really good Saul movies. So there was one, two, ⁓ three was good. Then like you get like f maybe five or six, one of those were good. Like so they they had highlights in, you know, in between some bad ones. The shit with Chris Rock was a joke. ⁓ but the last saw movies, Saw Ten, was pretty good. I I liked it. And they set up to where you know. Damn. What? They had ten of them? And they was yeah, they were supposed to make an eleven. And the way it's set up so the way Saw Ten set up, I was like, damn, you know, they're actually getting back. They're actually getting back. No well Saw Ten was kind of like it took place after one and before two or after Or right after one or right before one. I I don't remember the time. I I saw it in the theater and I never got the shot at the series. But there was some good shit in between some bad where Texas Chainsaw Massacre was a lot of bad. So like even part one, part one gets overhyped. Like if it wasn't for like I said, the cinematography and the family dynamic at that table, part one was trash. Like the you're not like trash. ⁓ yeah, yeah, yeah. Sorry. Well, no, these are special episodes. I can say just ⁓ like Franklin and Sally and them in the in the truck, like that was the one of the weaker friend groups to me. Like I didn't really I didn't really like them. Like I didn't really give a shit about any of them. ⁓ same with two didn't really have any friend groups. But Stretch was cool. Like I liked the radio show. She was all right. Like, you know, she was an interesting character. But like one didn't have any interesting characters. Except Roger Rockmore from Kate McCal. Yeah. Well phenomenal. What's bro's name that got ⁓ he got hung up like a fucking ornament in front of us? Every one of them they get hung up. ⁓ yeah, so the the fucking whiner and complainer with the glasses, dude. So he was ⁓ I forgot his name in the movie. To to counter what you said, like I I was just looking up iconic horror franchises, it does list Halloween, Friday the thirteenth, Namon Elm Street, Saw and Scream. So I am still gonna put Scream below Texas Chainsaw as an entirety. I wouldn't. Personally me. Personally me, 'cause I I I'm Halloween. Friday Friday the thirteenth. Top two. Those are the top two right there. Now you're on ⁓ Street. Freddie's always my number one. One, two, and three is better than any horror movies ever made. So I'm going there. And then you have Scream next. Scream are the better ones. They are. So if you're if you're going film wise, Screams are the best ones. As a film. So from all the technical aspects, the writing of like Scream would be the best films out of all of them. To me, I would go Freddy, Halloween, Jason, Screamsaw. Leatherface wasn't in there. Texas Chainsaw Massacre wasn't in the iconic franchises. Huh. I I would have assumed that it was just because of how one is treated. Because usually if they put like ⁓ like I've seen the you know the AI things ⁓ or the r mount rushmores they would always have ⁓ Damn, they don't have Leatherface? They would have Ghostface, Michael, Freddie, and Jason. I think that's a consensus. And then I think they're ⁓ considerable, I guess, maybe like he's not there yet, but ⁓ I mean they're putting Art the Clown also as I mean there's not enough of those movies, but they're kinda saying that he could kinda All right, putting him over Leatherface is kinda crazy though. 'Cause it's But his movies are more con I I think the three terrifier films are more consistent. than at least these three Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies that we've seen so far. And they're doing the fourth one. So but it's so but it's so classic, dude. Like I mean, may maybe that's just me being biased. The first one. The first one is the classic I would I I would think else is considerable. It's it's up for dude. Even even the Jessica Beale one. I feel like that was cause the original ⁓ the original Texas Chainsaw didn't didn't even like It didn't do it for me like how the ⁓ the first remake did. That one the thing is that one fucked me up, dude. The thing is though, if you were to take like for instance, if you were to take all the Texas chainsaws, add them up and average them versus Scream, Halloween, et cetera, et cetera. This is also my personal opinion. It's gonna be near the bottom. So even though there's only three terrifiers, I'm I'm I'm pretty confident that if you look at I don't know, Rotten Tomatoes or IMDB score and you total those out, that score is going to be higher because Two, three, probably four. Leatherface for sure. this remake on Netflix, like those were so bad that it's gonna bring the ones that were good down, like that, the overall average. I'm with that too. Yeah, it brings down the people overhype everything nowadays. So anything new, people overhype. So terrifying. I feel like it's a new way of marketing too. Like you you have to. Everything's been done already. So you it has to be the greatest movie you've ever seen. I've never seen videos like that. No, I'm saying terrifier is just shock value. Like there's no real You're like you're like yo bro what the fuck? Yeah, it's just kills. Yeah, but you're watching it for the kills. You're not watching it for the ex the second one's po then the next one is supposed to be. Of where he came from and then They kinda ⁓ have some tea leaves in the second one where the dad is kind of aware of certain things. So I mean it there it there is a story there and I think that they're gonna try to develop that in the last one. 'Cause the little girl got taken to hell. So I don't know. Is she still in hell? He just doesn't interest me as a as a villain. Like I like the kills and everything. Like it's cool, it's you know, it's fun. It he i the terrifier movies just don't interest me. Like I'll watch ⁓ Like I like I said, I enjoy the kills. I enjoy just art as like a as a character just doesn't like he doesn't interest me. I just want to see the game. Didn't you start off like a as like a short film character? There's a fourth so the there's four already. ⁓ all isn't that how we started? It's like an anthology. So that technically is in the same universe, but it's one that I don't think people really go back and watch. Yeah. So if you guys had to pick apart this Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the third one, what would be the few worst things you would ⁓ you would kind of pull out of it? The fucking the trailer, bro. ⁓ the chainsaw coming out of the fucking lake. Like if it was Thor's hammer with the fucking lightning strike? Bro, what the fuck is this guitar hero? Cheesy nineties. Bro, I felt I I bro, I felt like I was about to play Guitar Hero and like and and like ⁓ Slasher was like about to rip a fucking mean solo. And then I was have I was I was gonna play ⁓ what's that song, dude? The Devil in the Devil in Georgia or whatever. And then I I thought I was gonna have to fucking play Slasher on like a ⁓ a A guitar battle. Bro, I was like, bro, what fucking Metallica ass commercial is this? It was so nineties core, bro. ⁓ my gosh. I love it though. I love it. From a s from a state fucking way. Bro, I thought I thought Leatherface was gonna rip a mean solo with that fucking chainsaw. I thought it was gonna be like wait till you see the fourth one. I got hair on. I got hair on in the back. Fuck me. I would say for me it would be the cohesion of putting together a good story, which for some reason they just I don't I don't just based off of these three, because we're only up to the third one and just the story is kind of lacking in the cohesion, which I think that's also kind of why I'm saying that it doesn't it would have been better off had they did these as separate entities. I mean you could always tie in, you could essentially make this a franchise where 'Cause they've done in other horror franchises like Scream, right? Where these people are inspired by the original ghost face, so they're kinda taking on the legacy and this and that. Like they could have done that a little bit more and changed the characters. I think it would have been better had had they done that versus just have Leatherface with like a different family, a different background, a different part of Texas. And again, another gripe is them not using Texas as more of like a centerpiece. I mean Texas is is such a large, wide state and there's so much open space that's you know, why why why are we having people being chased in like open fields or yeah, like you know, there's there's you see there's a lot of stu elements that they could put in there that it just is kind of missing. And I've I I feel that they should have leaned more into I don't know, everything is big in Texas. Like why couldn't they have shoehorned that into the story in some way of like a metaphor or something with the family? He should have like riding around. Make make one of ⁓ the Sawyers a a politician, you know, who's corrupt and you know, they're hiding Leatherface away until someone's trying to beat them or run for office and then you know he's you know he's got the bodies. You know, like something, you know, they could have done something to have emphasized story. So I mean Texas you could just it's so vast you could just point the camera at anything and make it look nice. So I I I I that was one thing too. I don't understand why they didn't emphasize Texas. Like Everything they did was in such a narrow point of view, it never really expanded. And even the road trips. You what's cool? You know what's cool too with filming in Texas? movies aside, with skate with skate filming, ⁓ you can tell when some clips are from Texas. Like you can just look at the land and you can tell. ⁓ so it's pretty cool how distinct Texas is ⁓ when you're filming. Regarding how plain it may look. You know what I mean? Do you guys find Leatherface is less interesting when the family around him isn't as creepy as the first one? Because I I think the family kind of makes Leatherface more like ⁓ makes him more somebody you should fear. If anything I feel sympathy for him because he's just being used by his family to do their deeds. Yeah, like in but that changes every story. In this one though, in this one I kind of felt like he was like when he gave her the beats by Trey Headphones, ⁓ I feel like in that specific moment he was giving her like a vibe check. Like, if you fuck with this song, if you fuck with this song, I might just not chop you up and use your face for my new mask. You know, I might just have you help me, you know, sew the mask up 'cause you might be you might be good with sewing. You know, we we we can work out a deal. You know, so I I feel like with with with this like family, ⁓ Brandon's right, like they were kind of just like fucking with him. They were like, yo, we got you this new chainsaw. ⁓ I forgot what the shit said, the the S ⁓ Saws family or something like that. The Saws family. I was like, bro, what is this what is this propaganda? What is this? You're trying to lure poor Leatherface. He could be doing this shit on his own for his own benefit, but instead you want to do it for cannibalistic reasons. Totally. Everybody's gotta eat. Despicable. So to to to clarify so let me ⁓ let me let me let me recant and ⁓ go back on what I said because ⁓ while I don't think that the second one was better than the third, the second is actually higher rated than the third one on both IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes. Text chain Solid Massacre, the second one, has a rating of five point six out of ten and the Rotten Tomatoes is fifty three percent versus the third, which has a five out of ten, and has a thirteen percent of rotten tomatoes. Yeah, but I feel like that could also be that could also that could also be due to fat He's like thirteenth. That could also be due to fatigue. Like after the second one, they're like, All right, I don't know if I'm gonna watch the third one. But again, this is this is the this is also the franchise that Huh? This is ten years later, right? Because the first one was seventy-four. Second one was eighty This one was like ninety-five? Nineteen ninety. Nine. I thought it was ninety-five. It was eighty nine. Yeah, fourth one is ninety-five. The third one was technically nineteen eighty nine. Technically. It was January second, but January twelfth, nineteen ninety is when it released in theaters in the United States. I think it suffered from the lack of identity. It just didn't feel like they just threw a chainsaw in there and that was it. They threw a chainsaw, they threw Vigo Mortensen. Yeah, they threw that Fender Gibson Gibson esque ass fucking chainsaw. They were like, yo, need you to rip a fucking mean solo. It felt like it was kinda like rock and roll coded. Like I felt like some of the motley crew members like styled some of the actors. They were like, yo, feel like this fucking earring would look so sick on you, dude. And they just like, you know. I was like, when are you guys just gonna go to the garage and start playing music? Right. That's also that's also a part of let's stop play l let's stop all this killing bullshit, bro. Just go to your garage and start making your music. Or not not the second one, but ⁓ I always feel that the night at least had that kind of rock kind of feel to it. Or at least a ⁓ a ton of those movies. I'm just thinking of like the Satanic Panic and kind of ⁓ bunching horror with like rock music that was kind of like a That was a thing that they that was very well known back in those days when they were making horror movies. Yo, Junior, I know you're like cutting people up and shit, but like let's kinda like let's hit this mean riff. Yo, they do they use a lot of heavy metal in actual torture. You know, in re in real life torture. So I would know. So technically it's death metal and it is not heavy metal. Technically it is death metal. Whatever it is. I don't know. The more I'm doing research, I'm I'm looking 'cause it for some reason the second one, it I guess it has like a cult it's like a cult cla ⁓ classic in terms of like the mystique. I can see that a hundred percent. The the third horn? 'Cause it's like ⁓ yeah, it was What about the second one making it cult classic? I was just asking out you know, out of curiosity. The second one the color, the campiness, just the complete opposite, to the over the top, like people love that shit. ⁓ you know. Yep. What do they say? The dumb are mostly the dumb are mostly intrigued by the drum? Pretty much. Very simple. It's just like they geared it for people to love it at the time. And you know, you watch it now, it's looking at it as like, what the fuck? But I'm sure if you watched it in the eighties, you know, when it was made, like you said, it fit into that time. People I'm sure people loved it. ⁓ that's the caveat of all these reviews. Like they just They they fit more in that time than now. You know, what really stands out from great, you know, from good movies to, you know, our movies being from good to great is the the time you know, the timelessness of it, you know. You know, I think has a date to it. Part one a pass just because of the the technology limitations of the time, but then that's no excuse to for the first forty minutes. You know, that True. Dialogue should have been better. True. The store the story to get there should have been better. You know, that it it just should have been better in that case in the first time. Maybe they thought may may maybe they thought the story of the story of the entire situation was just gonna carry it rather than you know. It's possible. Yeah, I I get what you're saying. That's possible. You know. Just like that. At least make the characters interesting. You know? A guy with the chainsaw just fucking chasing people. We should just film that. First one for sure to to like be attached to them dying. I don't I don't think you got f you got forty minutes to get attached to them. I didn't at least ⁓ they got well I'm just saying like time wise, I think the first kill happened at like thirty-eight minutes into the movie, thirty-nine minutes. But and the whole list is only an hour. That's very telling because yeah, it was a very short film. It was very it that's very telling though because Brandon is of a a viewer of a film who would like to seek out those emotions to try and relate and see how like that film works in that aspect. If and I feel like if if Brandon can't find that, there's a flaw. You know what I mean? I just don't think it was there was nothing there was nothing that made me feel attached to them dying at all. Because it was just like I don't give a fuck about a single they're having dialogue but the dialogue is not really it's it's not going anywhere in that in the first one. ⁓ second one, you you could have a little bit more empathy because this this this radio host is trying to uncover who is killing these people. So you know, there's a little bit more that you can kind of pull from that. The third one, not you know, not as much. I mean, it was like, all right, there's just a couple and they're trying to get from point A to point B, and there's a guy chasing them with a chainsaw, and that's it. And they just kind of got interlocked in this. But then you also have ⁓ Ken Forey. Well, who you call? You call him Rock. So you got Roger Rockmore. Roger Rockmore. So you name his name is Ken Forey. We'll call him Ken Forey. So you have him in there, right? So now that adds a little dynamic to it. Then you have the random woman from the woods that comes in. So now you actually have more different character interactions, right? You don't have your typical I'm on the road trip and blah, blah, blah, blah. So I I I think there was more story in the third than there was in the first two. ⁓ But again, the characters, they're very who gives a fuck. Like they're just at that Maybe that's the point. Maybe sacks of meat. I'm just thinking about it now. That might be the entire point. They be they they might just be as disposable. Maybe that's the whole point for them for for us to view them as disposable as how they view them. You know, as Leatherface and his family would view them. There's no emotional attachment. That could one hundred percent be true. If you're looking for it, it's not there, my boy. You know, we're just here to chop up these bodies ⁓ for dinner next week. That's pretty much it. I d don't know, I don't know what else you want me to tell you. That could 100% be true, but that doesn't make a good movie. You still gotta make a good movie at the end of the day. You know, you gotta the reason why people connect is they connect to a character, right? Or if they don't connect to a character, they connect to a scenario that those characters are in. Yeah. You know, and good dialogue would do that, especially in Scenes where there's nothing but dialogue. Like you're you're driving in a car, there's five people in the car, there's nothing but dialogue. You know, so at least make it interesting dialogue. At least learn. There's a movie that just came out. That was kinda like that, but well, I'm not gonna say it. Go ahead, say it. ⁓ it ends. Terrible movie. I don't know how that got so hyped. It was all dialogue in the car, pretty much. But that's what I'm saying. Like people hype everything. Like the audience hypes everything. And I don't I don't I didn't see that. I I saw that and I was actually like I I was debating walking out. Like that there's a lot of people. my gosh. So that movie's been done, I don't know, thirty, forty times, that type of movie. It's been done from a Gen Z perspective. Probably Gen Z's horrible at filmmaking. Horrible perspective in filmmaking at the moment. And this goes back to what we were talking about. I'm a fellow Gen Zier, so just ⁓ They're still young. Just give me like protocols as a Gen Zier for me and I think we were talking about it one time. It's just a lived perspective. They live life completely different than every other generation before it. They don't have the interactions with people. They don't have the lived experiences that actually are worth telling. Like you know what's crazy? I feel like I feel like I grew up in the in the very small cusp. of where I get the best of I get the best of vote to where I I mean I like the PlayStation was out ⁓ you know the Nintendo's were out but I was still you know I was still like an outside kid like I wasn't playing Playstation all day I was going to the park every day you know so but even even as an adult like a lot of I mean you might be different, but like a lot of Gen Z kids like constantly glued to the phone and you know, doing this, that, they're you know, everything is about themselves and they're not really taking in the world around them. They want to make everything about themselves. How I feel, how this I, I, I, I instead of, you know, what is and then taking in what is. And I think that you see that in their creative work personally. Yeah. You know, so that that's just my take on it, but you know, I could be completely off base. It's been known to happen once or twice, but I don't know. It's good to know though, man. It it helps as a fellow Gen Zier, it helps me, ⁓ you know, helps me, you know, do a little homework. You know, and I'm struggle. Am I a little selfish with my with how I want to portray things versus how the world really sees it. You know? See and the the problem also is like you can't get two sides to a story in a movie nowadays. So it's like There's never no opposing views in a movie. Like it's this is the message I want to portray. Boom. That's it. There's nothing it's there's no opposing view. And you're at that if there's no opposing view, you're manufacturing conflict. It's not coming naturally. So and then and the movies sound like fucking like you're just reading a Twitter thread. Like there's no it's just taking movies from Twitter and made them into movies. I know and A twenty four. And that shit was trash. So it's you haven't experienced sample like I've experienced. Should we ⁓ should we shut out Elon Musk right now or no? No. Elon Musk, you gotta pay us for a sponsor or something like that for us to shout you up. We don't condone your ⁓ nonsense right now. But that's kind of how this game came out too. Like it was kind of like run of the mill for the times. Like there was really nothing special about it. Like it wasn't bad, it wasn't good. There was no real point of doing it. It felt It felt like a movie that the Leatherface franchise had to check off the list. Like your movie nineteen ninety check, you know? Movie movie shot in nineteen ninety style? Check. You know? All right. Leatherface Leatherface now has a movie in ninety style filming, guys. Now he could be labeled as top five, you know, horror villains of all time. You know, like it that's kind of what it felt like. Kind of like a, you know, cookie cutter. film. I kind of disagree with the aspect of the the franchise just because at that point it looks like you know it it it no not the whole franchise just this film in particular. Yeah yeah I was gonna say because this franchise kinda has bounced between different ⁓ production studios. So I kinda once that happens then yeah their intention might change from the other production studio. So then you have different directors, you have different hey we're gonna bring in our people to do this this way. And they kinda you know the we all know how studios kinda say that we want to We wanted to look like this. And obviously when you have different directors and different creators, then the the story's gonna change. I mean, ⁓ John Carpenter wasn't making all the the Halloween movies, but he was still kind of around. ⁓ whether he wasn't the director, he was at least a producer or, you know, he was kind of given insight. So he kinda still and they, you know, they brought him back for this this last trilogy at least to have an influence. So I think the also the same with like Wes Craven with Nightmare on Elm Street's i it kind of still had that same feeling because the creator was still there to influence what they were doing. And I believe the same I believe those these Nightmare on Elm Street kind of stayed with the same production company from my understanding of Mac. New line cinema, yeah. Yeah. Yeah, it was with New Line. So that has a big influence on it as well. So I'm I'm gonna push back on that a little bit just because So Freddie, Halloween, Jason They established their tone right away. ⁓ Texas Chainsaw Massacre didn't. So they established a tone with the first one and then went left field with the second one, where everybody else kind of stayed the course through the first couple before they started, you know, experimenting. So the tone of Nightmare in Elm Street was there, the tone of Scream was there, the tone of Halloween was there. So all of that was there. Where you have your first three Texas Chainsaw Massacres are completely different. So it Like I said, it had no identity as a as a series. But I also ⁓ we'll bring that back to from the last episode where you have all those three major ⁓ franchises that were around. They still had they had a smaller gap in terms of when they did the first to the second one. And the second one for Text Chain Song Hask Two had such a large gap, which kinda makes me kind of wonder why did it take so long for them to make the first and the second one? Halloween two picks right up. From that s you know, from the first one and it just kinda was a continuation. Obviously different director, but Friday the thirteenth, Nyman Elm Street, they were all like back to back. This one just had like a really large gap. And I think it was kind of forgotten about so ⁓ yeah, I would have to probably look a more into why there were there was such a a large drop off in time with making the the first, the second, the third, and the fourth. Well, the fourth came in ninety five. Right. So That was probably the shortest time frame between you figure two, three, and four was so I guess it was just one was the problem. One going into two. Yeah, because so they're on number four. They're on number four. By that point, I believe ⁓ Halloween is up to six. I can't rem remember the number of ones from Jason and say they were on the butt you know, at that at that stage of the late nineties, those two franchises at least were on their way out before, you know, they revitalized with the the Freddie versus Jason one. But and they also started earlier. I mean Texas Chainsaw Masker started earlier. Yeah. Right? Started 74. I think everything else I think Jason was 79. Freddie was eighty. Eighty one? I think I think it was eighty one or eighty two. So I the first one for nine I'm sure was eighty four. Eighty four. So I I just think it was more of a Well I'm off. They didn't they didn't set us ⁓ like a standard for the Texas Chainsaw mascot. Like Leatherface By himself should be fucking terrifying. And he's not. That's why I always preach. Which I can't wait till we do this episode. The first remake from two thousand. You're gonna be disappointed. You're gonna be disappointed, Justin. I know I know it's not the best movie to come out, but I feel like it is one of the better ways to show Leatherface, especially I have a bias because I saw it when I was younger. This was my introduction to Leatherface. So this scared me sh this scared all like I shit I shit my pants when I saw Leatherface. ⁓ and then when I went back and saw the original where it stemmed from, I was like, What the fuck is this? I'll beat this I'll beat this dude in a foot race, bro. What the fuck is he he's not gonna catch me. This piece of shit. I just think it was more modernized. Right. So they were able to do a lot more with visual effects. They were able to do, you know, just a little more than they were able to do before. They also had the budget. It it it was a little more than that though. It was it was the tone was different. It was the like how I said in the episode before, it felt like he was it felt like he honestly fucking snorted a rail and was like, I'm ready to murder right now, you know? Was it the color? Whereas like nah. It was it wasn't even the mask. It wasn't ecause ⁓ the O three, I don't think he had the best mask. I think it was one of the newer ones maybe. I could be wrong. ⁓ but there was one I think after the O three when I was like, damn that mask is pretty scary. ⁓ but I don't know, dude there was a certain there was a certain like ⁓ Like like ferociousness with with that particular leather you know, with that particular leather face over like he wasn't dancing, bro. Wasn't out here dancing, he didn't have fucking ballerina shoes on. Hey yo. Sorry. But he can't he he you know, he came here for blood, bro. You know? Alright. I'm not gonna I'm not gonna spoil the rest of them. What's your what's your final thoughts on ⁓ part three? decent Safe horror film to make in the nineties for the franchise. ⁓ but also a caveat being that ⁓ we're word of the day, by the way, is caveat. ⁓ caveat being reading. caveat being had they gone the original route, you know, rather than not playing it safe, rather than playing it safe, ⁓ they probably probably would have made a better film. It's good and safe, but it could have been way better had it kinda, you know took a chance. Was able to was it yeah, was able to kinda like hone in on its identity and really kinda like figure it out for the franchise. But all in all, pretty good film. I do like that it's more traditional harder than at least the second one. The first one was just more unhinged. You're like, what the fuck's going on? Which is I really enjoy that aspect of it too. Because don't know what's going on. This family's fucking crazy, you know. Brandon, your final thoughts. ⁓ this was a right in my opinion, it was a step in the right direction for this franchise. ⁓ I like the the shift back to the original tone of a little bit more dark and gritty. ⁓ but I I I think the the story is still lacking a lot with just cohesion and connecting two to three to one. They just all kind of seem like they are in like the leather face cinematic universe, but they're all different leather faces, which is kind of confusing to me. But I mean I'll definitely hit this up on Tubi when it comes ⁓ November 1st. Plus for my Halloween for my Halloween hangover. Because I definitely want to just they're all distant cousins. Every leather face is a distant cousin. Well you know we all got cousins that look like us. ⁓ I I got a couple of ⁓ We could be we could be siblings, but I'm like, nah. I gotta have a lot. I don't know. Puerto Rico. I don't really have like a a final take. It was just it was just there. Like it was kind of missing stuff from the first that made the first good, missing stuff from the second, but then added like it was just it was better than two. ⁓ I just I just don't have like strong feelings about it. Like there was there was more movie here. I just don't know if it was like a Texas Chains or Massacre movie. Like it kind of felt like insert your generic villain here and you had the same story. and again the I'm I'm with you guys on the cohesion part too. Like it ⁓ that's also why it's it's been failing. Like there's no cohesion to it. And you think Claude made this film? It might have some cohesion at that point. ⁓ you think Claude got it or Higgs field? So let's have a masked man with a leather face. So like Running around Texas. The two remakes. ⁓ the one with Jessica Beale and the one with Jordana Brewster. Jordan Brewster. Yeah. They had the same tone. They had continuity to them. They had they weren't very good movies, but they had a consistency to them. Just saying. They they were going in the right direction. Like I would have liked to see a part three that picked up after Jessica Beale. I didn't agree with you. I would have liked to see the first remake is not like one of my favorite horror movies ever. But if if I were to give a good representation of Leatherface, then that would be one of my favorite movies to recommend. I'll I'll wait till we get to those to ⁓ It's just my opinion right now talk about them. But ⁓ I I will say that one of the two is my favorite film in the franchise. I w I will say that. That it it is the but then they completely fucked it up by then doing whatever happened in three D, Leatherface, the new one the three after that. Well like we gotta cross out break when we get picked up right now. It needed to pick up after that. Where for right now, let's just worry about the first two Well after the fourth one. Did you have you seen four, Justin? ⁓ no I haven't. Have you seen four yet, Brandon? No, I haven't. All right. You guys are gonna be really fucking pissed when we're here next week talking about four. I'm just giving you a heads up. Hey. I didn't see I'm ready. I ready. No, no, you're not ready for this. I'm I'm gonna tell you that so from watching all that 80s really cheesy B horror, Z list horror, shit like that, you'll beg for that to come back before watching this again. This might be the worst part four. This is gonna this is gonna be clipped to to go into part four, but part four of the Texas Chainsaw Mascot is the worst entry to any major horror franchise ever. On that note, I'm Brandon. I'm I'm Justin, bro. Fuck, man. This one's gonna suck.
