- 0:00Speaker 1: He's mister New York Mark Simone on w o R.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Well, it's gonna be eighty degrees today, a beautiful day
- 0:13Speaker 2: in New York, and get lots to get to this hour.
- 0:16Speaker 2: So Tiger Woods, I don't know what he's I don't
- 0:21Speaker 2: know what's gonna happen here. He's got a real problem here.
- 0:24Speaker 2: He's been picked up for. It's not drunk driving. It's
- 0:28Speaker 2: driving on drugs, medication that made him impaired. It's not
- 0:33Speaker 2: the first time. It's in Florida. He's a powerful guy
- 0:37Speaker 2: in Florida. I don't know it's it's gonna be tough.
- 0:39Speaker 2: He's gonna have to stay out of jail. Normally you'd
- 0:42Speaker 2: get locked up, maybe not first offense, and maybe not
- 0:45Speaker 2: if you're a big, famous, beloved guy like Tiger Woods.
- 0:49Speaker 2: But if it's the third time, fourth time, you're gonna
- 0:52Speaker 2: have a problem. And he's got a problem here now
- 0:59Speaker 2: is remember his first wife, Elin Nordegren, that beautiful blonde
- 1:04Speaker 2: first wife, when she's the one that caused the first crash.
- 1:09Speaker 2: She found some stuff on his phone, apparently him carrying
- 1:12Speaker 2: on with other women. I mean, really graphics. It really
- 1:16Speaker 2: got her crazy and she chased him out of the
- 1:18Speaker 2: house with a golf club. She's chasing him with a
- 1:21Speaker 2: golf club. Imagine that the irony. The guy gets killed
- 1:24Speaker 2: with a golf club by his own wife, but he
- 1:27Speaker 2: jumps in the car, backs up eighty miles an hour
- 1:31Speaker 2: down the driveway, hits a tree, hits a fire hydrant.
- 1:34Speaker 2: That was the first accident she caused. So then there
- 1:37Speaker 2: have been a lot of accidents since. But the first
- 1:39Speaker 2: wife yesterday actually spoke about this. She said she's very
- 1:43Speaker 2: worried about him following this crash. As angry as she was,
- 1:47Speaker 2: she's not angry anymore. And she said, you know, they
- 1:50Speaker 2: have kids together. The kids are now eighteen and seventeen.
- 1:53Speaker 2: He said, the kids are great, and she said they
- 1:55Speaker 2: love spending time with their dad, and she's really concerned,
- 2:00Speaker 2: really concerned. Now here's an interesting detail that has not
- 2:03Speaker 2: been mentioned. As you know, Tiger Woods is now dating
- 2:08Speaker 2: Donald Trump Junior's ex wife, Vanessa Trump. They have been
- 2:12Speaker 2: dating for a long time now. She has kids, one
- 2:16Speaker 2: of Miss kay Trump, who's going to be one of
- 2:17Speaker 2: the greatest golfers ever, and she has kids. So those
- 2:22Speaker 2: would be Donald Trump's grandchildren and those kids are protected
- 2:27Speaker 2: by the secret Service, and an order came down when
- 2:30Speaker 2: she started dating him that the Secret Service is never
- 2:34Speaker 2: ever to allow those kids to ever get in a
- 2:36Speaker 2: car driven by Tiger Woods. So throughout this relationship, he
- 2:40Speaker 2: has not been allowed to ever drive a car with
- 2:44Speaker 2: those kids in it. And the Secret Service has been
- 2:46Speaker 2: very careful make sure that never happened. But he's getting
- 2:52Speaker 2: a lot of flak right now. And the big question is,
- 2:56Speaker 2: you know, why does he have a driver? Well, apparently
- 3:04Speaker 2: he can't have a driver, because I remembers explaining this
- 3:07Speaker 2: to you yesterday. The reason he got caught by the
- 3:09Speaker 2: first wife with the stuff on his cell phone. Normally, big, big,
- 3:13Speaker 2: big famous people who cheat like crazy. And that's a
- 3:15Speaker 2: lot of them, those stars. And I've been around a
- 3:19Speaker 2: lot of them, and I've seen out all works a
- 3:21Speaker 2: lot of them. Many of them they not only have
- 3:24Speaker 2: a driver, but they got a little entourage. There's a
- 3:27Speaker 2: bunch of people in the entourage that are very close
- 3:29Speaker 2: to them. And it's one guy's job to take care
- 3:31Speaker 2: of the women. A woman wants to see him, they'll
- 3:35Speaker 2: text this guy. This guy will pass it along and
- 3:38Speaker 2: there's usually a code name. Yeah, there's always a code name.
- 3:43Speaker 2: So the woman texts the guy, and the guy will
- 3:45Speaker 2: text the big star and say, talk to David, he'd
- 3:49Speaker 2: like to get together. That's the code word for a woman.
- 3:53Speaker 2: So if the wife found the phone, she'd see nothing.
- 3:56Speaker 2: And he never did that. He did it all himself
- 4:00Speaker 2: on his phone. And he can't have a driver because
- 4:04Speaker 2: he and he's kind of said to his closest friends,
- 4:08Speaker 2: he can't have anybody see what he's really doing or
- 4:11Speaker 2: what he's really up to. Doesn't want anybody to know
- 4:14Speaker 2: what he's doing. Now, that usually implies a couple of things.
- 4:20Speaker 2: If you're just cheating on your wife, you can usually
- 4:22Speaker 2: have a driver. You know, everyzillionaire, billionaire, every big star
- 4:25Speaker 2: with a driver. The driver sees him cheating on this,
- 4:28Speaker 2: but usually he's having a little affair with somebody. I'd say,
- 4:31Speaker 2: if you can't even let anybody see it, it usually
- 4:33Speaker 2: means it's something really kinky, weird, or it means it's
- 4:38Speaker 2: in numbers that are so great you don't want anybody
- 4:40Speaker 2: to see how many, how many, it's just it's off
- 4:44Speaker 2: the charts numbers. So I have a feeling that's what
- 4:47Speaker 2: it is with Tiger Woods. It's massive numbers that he
- 4:51Speaker 2: doesn't want anybody to see. So that's why I no driver.
- 4:56Speaker 2: He's getting a lot of flak Downe's a big golf analyst,
- 4:59Speaker 2: famous golf animly has said he really should just leave
- 5:03Speaker 2: golf and retire. He should find something else to do.
- 5:05Speaker 2: He's going to try to play in the Masters, but
- 5:07Speaker 2: these car crashes have left him with the most awful injuries.
- 5:11Speaker 2: His body is so damaged. And he's an unbelievable guy
- 5:14Speaker 2: with discipline and training and working hard to come back
- 5:18Speaker 2: from these injuries. But he's never going to play like
- 5:22Speaker 2: he used to play. He's never going to be a top,
- 5:24Speaker 2: top player. He's just too banged up, injured, damaged. So
- 5:28Speaker 2: this golf analyst said, what's the point. I mean, you're
- 5:31Speaker 2: Tiger Woods, and you know, the most disciplined kind of
- 5:33Speaker 2: the way. You can train hard enough so that you
- 5:35Speaker 2: could still get in the tournament and get through it.
- 5:38Speaker 2: But what's the point. It's like running the marathon. It's
- 5:41Speaker 2: great to say you ran it, but you came in
- 5:42Speaker 2: four hundred and eighty seventh place, you know, which is
- 5:45Speaker 2: fine for anybody. You'll still be proud. But if you're
- 5:48Speaker 2: Tiger Woods, what's the point. If you're not going to
- 5:50Speaker 2: finish in the top ten or twenty, and then Dave
- 5:54Speaker 2: portnoy coming after him. Portnoye says he has absolutely no
- 5:58Speaker 2: sympathy for Tiger Woods. When it comes to Dui, he said,
- 6:02Speaker 2: no sympathy. Put him in jail, you know, he said,
- 6:06Speaker 2: Portnois goes, I got a lot of vices, but my
- 6:08Speaker 2: vice has only put me in jeopardy nobody else. When
- 6:11Speaker 2: you get behind the wheel totally impaired, you're gonna really
- 6:15Speaker 2: you could really hurt somebody, you could kill somebody. Says
- 6:17Speaker 2: I have no sympathy. Put the guy in jail, and
- 6:21Speaker 2: there's gonna be a lot of that when he gets
- 6:22Speaker 2: into court. That's the problem. So Vanessa Trump, who's been
- 6:26Speaker 2: going out with him, she's was finally asked about it,
- 6:29Speaker 2: said he's very disappointed and a little bit pissed is
- 6:33Speaker 2: her quote, if I'm being honest, she said, so not
- 6:38Speaker 2: too happy about it. But this is not gonna If
- 6:40Speaker 2: he can get out of this one, it's pretty amazing.
- 6:42Speaker 2: But I think everybody's right that he's got to give
- 6:45Speaker 2: up golf and that's it. So the shutdown at the airports,
- 6:50Speaker 2: the TSA, all of that disaster looks like it's pretty
- 6:53Speaker 2: good now with ice in there. You know, there's only
- 6:57Speaker 2: a fifty thousand TSA people and I think like fifteen
- 7:02Speaker 2: thousand of them are not there called in sick. But
- 7:05Speaker 2: you can send in fifteen thousand ice agers to make
- 7:08Speaker 2: up the difference. And they've been very good in the airports.
- 7:10Speaker 2: But there's still lines, and apparently Friday was a really
- 7:15Speaker 2: ugly thing for passengers to watch. Friday, it was still
- 7:19Speaker 2: out of control, three four hour lines. And that's the
- 7:23Speaker 2: day the Senate and the Congress adjourned for their three
- 7:26Speaker 2: week vacation. Three week vacation in the middle of this shutdown,
- 7:30Speaker 2: with people going through hell in the airports, they take
- 7:33Speaker 2: three weeks off and they fly home. Well, TMZ and
- 7:36Speaker 2: other news organizations were there photographing these senators going through
- 7:40Speaker 2: the airports, these congressmen, and there they were with vip
- 7:44Speaker 2: escorts taking them right through the right through the gate,
- 7:48Speaker 2: no line, no inspection, no TSA. Days has got escorted
- 7:52Speaker 2: right through, vip escorts, strolling them right past the line.
- 7:56Speaker 2: The worst offender was John Thune, Senate Majority Leader, Republican.
- 8:02Speaker 2: He was the worst. He just they saw him just
- 8:04Speaker 2: breeze past the lines at Reagan National airport with a
- 8:08Speaker 2: big grin for the cameras. Really really annoying. Now, as
- 8:16Speaker 2: I've explained to you, one thing that goes on, you'll
- 8:19Speaker 2: never hear anybody in Congress ever criticize the Secretary of
- 8:23Speaker 2: Transportation because when you're the Secretary of Transportation, the first
- 8:27Speaker 2: thing you do, because you end up meeting everybody in Congress,
- 8:30Speaker 2: the first thing you do is give them all your
- 8:31Speaker 2: cell number, and you tell everybody in Congress, every big
- 8:35Speaker 2: player in Washington. Any problem, you call me. You're going
- 8:38Speaker 2: through the airport, anything you need, call me. So if
- 8:42Speaker 2: John Thune, anybody, anybody in Congress, if they're going to
- 8:45Speaker 2: the airport, they call up the Secretary of Transportation, who
- 8:49Speaker 2: immediately gets some vip escort to meet their car when
- 8:52Speaker 2: they pull up at the airport, take them right onto
- 8:54Speaker 2: the plane. And Duffy in the current Secretary of Transportation
- 8:59Speaker 2: does it, Buddha Jed did it. All secretaries of transportation
- 9:02Speaker 2: do this. Everybody important in Congress everywhere has the phone number.
- 9:07Speaker 2: They'll never have to wait for anything transportation wise. So
- 9:11Speaker 2: that's why they never criticize the Secretary of Defense. Boy,
- 9:15Speaker 2: this is thinking about Facebook. Here's all these things, these
- 9:19Speaker 2: protests that these teenagers got addicted. They're so addicted. Here's
- 9:24Speaker 2: this mother. Now the mother is going to sue what
- 9:26Speaker 2: they did to her teenage daughter. They addicted her to Facebook.
- 9:31Speaker 2: Can you really blame Facebook? Be you're the mother, Take
- 9:34Speaker 2: away the computer, take away the phone, fix it so
- 9:39Speaker 2: they can't have a Facebook app in there? But is
- 9:44Speaker 2: it really addictive? I know they have an algorithm where
- 9:47Speaker 2: as soon as you've done watching something, if they can
- 9:49Speaker 2: figure out what you like, and they'll show you something
- 9:51Speaker 2: you like next and they'll keep doing But everybody does it.
- 9:53Speaker 2: We do that on the radio. Go put on any
- 9:57Speaker 2: music station on the radio. Hey, coming up next, We're
- 9:59Speaker 2: going to do this. It's and as soon as the
- 10:01Speaker 2: song ends, they know what else you'd like and they play.
- 10:03Speaker 2: They can keep you listening for a lot. It's normal.
- 10:06Speaker 2: Everybody does that. You can't really blame Facebook, can you.
- 10:10Speaker 2: It's crazy? And what does that mean they're addicted to Facebook?
- 10:14Speaker 2: Why they just sit on it for hours? Well, Hey,
- 10:16Speaker 2: when I was a kid, I was addicted to television.
- 10:19Speaker 2: I could do it for hours. The mother would yell
- 10:22Speaker 2: at you go outside, play do something, turn that TV off.
- 10:25Speaker 2: It's been you sitting there for four hours. When I
- 10:27Speaker 2: was a little kid, I could watch TV for eight hours.
- 10:30Speaker 2: I could watch everything. It just and my mother would
- 10:33Speaker 2: yell at me, go do your homework. This is my
- 10:35Speaker 2: homework watching this is my homework. So, uh, it's nothing new,
- 10:41Speaker 2: you know, as people are pointed out, with all the
- 10:44Speaker 2: technology and digital and everything, everybody's doing the same thing
- 10:48Speaker 2: they always did. The behavior doesn't change. Well, now you've
- 10:50Speaker 2: got online bullying. Yeah, well it used to be schoolyard bullying.
- 10:54Speaker 2: It's the same behavior. It just moves to a new medium.
- 10:57Speaker 2: So Facebook has really got to do something. They really
- 11:00Speaker 2: got to fight back.
- 11:01Speaker 3: You know.
- 11:01Speaker 2: The biggest problem is not the team's getting addicted to
- 11:05Speaker 2: Facebook or the big problem is is gen Z Generation Z.
- 11:09Speaker 2: They and it might be a result of all this
- 11:12Speaker 2: digital stuff. They're just weak and flabby and they can't
- 11:16Speaker 2: work and they you know a lot of employers now,
- 11:18Speaker 2: studies are showing gen Z people can't work nine to five.
- 11:23Speaker 2: It's too long, it's too much. They can't take nine
- 11:25Speaker 2: to five normal eight hour office day. Everybody always did that.
- 11:29Speaker 2: They can't take it. So a lot of them are
- 11:32Speaker 2: saying they have to have a nap in the middle
- 11:34Speaker 2: of the day. You get an hour for lunch, but
- 11:36Speaker 2: they're using it to take a nap, which you know,
- 11:39Speaker 2: many people can't do that in an office because it's
- 11:41Speaker 2: a big open office. You can't sleep in the mid So,
- 11:45Speaker 2: believe it or not, a lot of gen Z people
- 11:49Speaker 2: would go to an AMC movie theater. If you go
- 11:52Speaker 2: to any AMC movie theater, they got these beautiful recliner chairs.
- 11:56Speaker 2: They're really nice. If you haven't been to a movie
- 11:59Speaker 2: theater while go to an AMC theater. I mean, it's
- 12:01Speaker 2: an unbelievable recliner. You can lie back and you can.
- 12:04Speaker 2: So they go pay fifteen dollars in the daytime on
- 12:07Speaker 2: their lunch shower to go to AMC movie theater, go
- 12:10Speaker 2: go into one and sleep for an hour on the recliner.
- 12:13Speaker 2: They put their earbuds in alarm on the Apple Watch.
- 12:16Speaker 2: But there's people now making money off these gen Z idiots.
- 12:22Speaker 2: There's companies that are opening up nap rooms where you
- 12:25Speaker 2: can come take a nap on your lunch hower. Little
- 12:27Speaker 2: pods where you can nap. There's a big one called
- 12:30Speaker 2: Nap York. It's opening all over the place. You come
- 12:34Speaker 2: pay whatever it is twenty bucks. You can go in
- 12:36Speaker 2: that little pod and nap for an hour and they're
- 12:39Speaker 2: doing a hell of a lot of business. Unbelievable. Now,
- 12:45Speaker 2: Curtis sliwa Our Curtis Sleiewaing's on here every morning six
- 12:48Speaker 2: to ten, getting a lot of flak from some not
- 12:51Speaker 2: a lot of people, but some people give him flak
- 12:53Speaker 2: for why did you do a video with may Or
- 12:56Speaker 2: Mom Donnie? That's terrible? How would you do something like that? Well,
- 13:01Speaker 2: and he's been all over I'm looking. I see him
- 13:03Speaker 2: seen on three TV screens, heeries on New York one.
- 13:06Speaker 2: Everybody's asking him about it. Hey, it's perfectly normal. I'm
- 13:10Speaker 2: not a big fan of Mayor Mom Donnie. I mean,
- 13:12Speaker 2: you just think he's terrible everything he believes in and
- 13:15Speaker 2: his mayor. But if he called up and said can
- 13:20Speaker 2: I come on the show, I'd say yes, yeah, be
- 13:23Speaker 2: a very polite, nice, you know, not a hostile interview.
- 13:28Speaker 2: But he he'd ask him tough questions. And if he said,
- 13:33Speaker 2: could you come do a video with me? For what
- 13:35Speaker 2: do you mean? It's a comedy sketch. We're going to
- 13:37Speaker 2: show it at a charity. But yeah, okay, maybe I
- 13:39Speaker 2: would do And actually I've done that many times with
- 13:43Speaker 2: mayors that I thought were terrible, Deblasio or whoever. You know,
- 13:47Speaker 2: be a big charity lunch where I'd introduce him. You'd
- 13:49Speaker 2: give him a nice introduction. You don't say he's a
- 13:51Speaker 2: great mayor, but you find something nice to say about him.
- 13:55Speaker 2: And so Curtis was asked about doing that video. Just
- 13:58Speaker 2: about anybody would say, it's the mayor of New York,
- 14:01Speaker 2: you do. That's why you see all these top business
- 14:03Speaker 2: leaders who can't stand what he's doing, but they's still
- 14:05Speaker 2: go meet with him. Even President Trump, he's the mayor
- 14:08Speaker 2: of New York. You meet with him. So here's Curtis.
- 14:10Speaker 4: What New Yorkers want to see is a city where
- 14:13Speaker 4: we can vehemently disagree with each other and also still
- 14:16Speaker 4: know that we live in the same site.
- 14:17Speaker 2: Actually, this is Mayor Mondani. So everybody was asking Curtis
- 14:19Speaker 2: about why did you do that? So the Montani lovers,
- 14:23Speaker 2: why would you do a video with Curtis?
- 14:25Speaker 4: What New Yorkers want to see is a city where
- 14:27Speaker 4: we can vehemently disagree with each other and also still
- 14:30Speaker 4: know that we live in the same city. And a
- 14:32Speaker 4: sense of humor, I think is a prerequisite to being
- 14:34Speaker 4: a New Yorker.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, it's not like he went partners with
- 14:37Speaker 2: him on something. It's a it's a comedy, little comedy skit.
- 14:41Speaker 2: It's for a charity dinner, all right. And what about
- 14:45Speaker 2: everybody going crazy at all of.
- 14:47Speaker 4: These people who can't distinguish between a sketch and reality.
- 14:51Speaker 4: I think it shows some of the problems they're having
- 14:53Speaker 4: with their politics.
- 14:54Speaker 2: Yeah, Hey, a lot of people run for the Democratic nomination.
- 14:58Speaker 2: You got the slick Gavin Newsom, fast talking, slick, quite
- 15:03Speaker 2: a salesman, but the world's worst manager. California is an
- 15:06Speaker 2: absolute disaster. People are fleeing California like crazy. And then
- 15:11Speaker 2: you got who else? You got the Josh Shapiro's a
- 15:14Speaker 2: pretty bright guy, but maybe he's not, you know, none
- 15:19Speaker 2: enough pizaz to be the Democratic nominee. And by the way,
- 15:24Speaker 2: with Gavin Newsom three years out, two and a half,
- 15:29Speaker 2: three years out, there's always in every Democratic race study history,
- 15:33Speaker 2: there's always a guy who looks like he'll be the
- 15:35Speaker 2: nominee so far out in front, and it's always a flashy,
- 15:37Speaker 2: good looking pretty boy type, and in every case they
- 15:41Speaker 2: never get the nomination. There's always been one of these.
- 15:44Speaker 2: It was Gary Hart. It was John Edwards. There's always
- 15:47Speaker 2: one of these guys, but they never get the nomination.
- 15:50Speaker 2: Then the other thing in the Democratic Party, they got
- 15:51Speaker 2: really stupid people who aren't very bright. Kamala Harris would
- 15:55Speaker 2: be a good example. And now you got another one.
- 15:57Speaker 2: There's talk of Corey Booker, who's a nice guy, nice
- 16:01Speaker 2: looking guy, got a nice smile, but he's dumb. That's
- 16:05Speaker 2: the problem, and every Democrat will takes it's not a
- 16:07Speaker 2: very bright guy. He's dumb. But now he's being asked
- 16:11Speaker 2: about running. Sounds like you're saying she would be open
- 16:14Speaker 2: to your running for presidents. So you're not ruling it out, Senator,
- 16:18Speaker 2: I am definitely.
- 16:19Speaker 1: Not ruling it out. I'm running for reelection. I hope
- 16:22Speaker 1: New Jersey will support me for another six years.
- 16:26Speaker 2: And again, nice guy. He was the mayor of Newark
- 16:28Speaker 2: at one time. He was a terrible mayor. Newark got
- 16:31Speaker 2: much worse when he was the mayor. He was never
- 16:33Speaker 2: even there most of the time. But just a dumb guy,
- 16:36Speaker 2: and he perfect for Democrats.
- 16:38Speaker 1: This is going to go down as one of the
- 16:39Speaker 1: worst foreign policy follies, blunders, costly mistakes that have been
- 16:44Speaker 1: made in the modern era and it's outrageous that the
- 16:47Speaker 1: Republicans won't even call the administration in and have hearings
- 16:51Speaker 1: where we can provide oversight and frankly demand accountability, which
- 16:55Speaker 1: is what the American table deserve.
- 16:56Speaker 2: Now Thatt's not dumb, this guy.
- 16:57Speaker 1: This is going to go down as one of the
- 16:58Speaker 1: worst war policy follies blunders costs.
- 17:02Speaker 2: This is the biggest blunder in the history of foreign policy.
- 17:06Speaker 2: They went and wiped out the worst terrorist, most evil
- 17:09Speaker 2: leader on the face of the and the top forty terrorists.
- 17:13Speaker 2: They wiped out the worst, most evil, awful, evil terrorist
- 17:19Speaker 2: government in the world. And he thinks it's the biggest
- 17:22Speaker 2: blunder ever. So Republicans should pray that this guy gets
- 17:28Speaker 2: the nomination. Hey, we'll take some calls next. Eight hundred
- 17:31Speaker 2: three to two one zero seven ten is the number.
- 17:34Speaker 2: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten. Set up
- 17:38Speaker 2: preset on the iHeartRadio app to doubr to hear Mark live.
- 17:43Speaker 4: Set another for Mark's podcast to hear him anytime. Now
- 17:48Speaker 4: back to Mark Simone on do woar.
- 17:52Speaker 2: Hey, you'll take some calls. Eight hundred three to two
- 17:54Speaker 2: one zero seven ten is the number. Let's go to
- 17:57Speaker 2: Mike in Beth Page, Mike, how you doing.
- 18:00Speaker 5: Thank good morning, Mark, wondering if you're hearing anything on
- 18:04Speaker 5: replacements of Supreme Court justices. If the Republicans lose the midterm,
- 18:10Speaker 5: what's going to happen?
- 18:11Speaker 3: Have you heard anything?
- 18:12Speaker 6: Well, there's nothing we know, and maybe Clarence Mom is retiring.
- 18:15Speaker 2: Nothing here yet. No, nobody's going to retire that soon.
- 18:18Speaker 2: And I don't worry about Republicans losing the midterms. And
- 18:22Speaker 2: it's way too soon to know anything. You know, who's
- 18:25Speaker 2: going to win the World Series? Too early in the
- 18:28Speaker 2: season to know. Let's go to doctor John and Newark.
- 18:31Speaker 2: Doctor John, how are you well?
- 18:34Speaker 6: I'm fine.
- 18:35Speaker 7: I was calling because I'd like to talk a little
- 18:37Speaker 7: bit about making America great again by improving our healthcare,
- 18:42Speaker 7: by changing our system to what I've worked and lectured
- 18:47Speaker 7: in two of the top six healthcare systems in the world,
- 18:52Speaker 7: and the one rated six. The government paced two percent
- 18:56Speaker 7: of GDP for healthcare guarantees it for all sins. They
- 19:01Speaker 7: live five years longer than we do. Well, we're rated
- 19:04Speaker 7: thirty seventh and die younger than thirty five other countries. Now,
- 19:08Speaker 7: I've written two articles about I.
- 19:10Speaker 2: Can tell your electors. So far you haven't given me
- 19:12Speaker 2: a good idea yet, give me a good idea. There's
- 19:14Speaker 2: a lot of a lot of intro but what what's
- 19:17Speaker 2: the idea?
- 19:18Speaker 7: Okay in the two articles I've.
- 19:20Speaker 2: Written again with the articles.
- 19:22Speaker 7: Well, okay, okay, the way they do it, I'll tell
- 19:25Speaker 7: you the way they do it.
- 19:26Speaker 1: Yeah, let's get to that point.
- 19:27Speaker 2: Give us the solution.
- 19:28Speaker 7: Yeah, all all doctors and hospitals have to put what
- 19:32Speaker 7: they do and what they charge for it on the incidet.
- 19:35Speaker 2: Now, well, there a lot of people have been pushing
- 19:37Speaker 2: for that, and that's a great idea. A lot of
- 19:39Speaker 2: people haven't pushing for that. You know, you get you
- 19:42Speaker 2: Sometimes you see these bills cat Scan twenty six hundred
- 19:45Speaker 2: dollars and then oh my god, twenty two insurance covers it.
- 19:49Speaker 2: But the insurance really only got billed three hundred dollars
- 19:51Speaker 2: and they only paid one six. I mean, it's all ridiculous.
- 19:54Speaker 2: You know what you pay for these medications. You're absolutely right,
- 19:57Speaker 2: A lot of people have been pushing for this, even
- 19:59Speaker 2: the President and self saying make it transparent, show the
- 20:02Speaker 2: real cost. Stop playing this game for the insurance companies.
- 20:06Speaker 2: Let's go to Jim in New Jersey, Jim, how you doing.
- 20:10Speaker 2: Are you going to have O'Reilly on in a little
- 20:12Speaker 2: while in about ten minutes.
- 20:15Speaker 6: Now, I'm not going to tell you what to do. Mark,
- 20:17Speaker 6: we both however, maybe you could do me a favor.
- 20:20Speaker 6: I saw a great special on a great president. I
- 20:23Speaker 6: already knew about him. His name is James Monroe. He
- 20:26Speaker 6: died penniless in New York City in eighteen thirty one
- 20:28Speaker 6: on the fourth of July. Now, Washington was proclaimed president
- 20:32Speaker 6: by proclamation. As you know, Nixon won forty nine states.
- 20:36Speaker 6: Reagan won forty nine states.
- 20:37Speaker 2: We know only what's the point. What do you want
- 20:40Speaker 2: to ask.
- 20:42Speaker 6: If he knows if there was any president to win
- 20:45Speaker 6: every state?
- 20:46Speaker 2: Okay, there's a good question. We'll ask him that when
- 20:48Speaker 2: he gets here in a few minutes. Let's go to Tom
- 20:50Speaker 2: and Queens.
- 20:53Speaker 6: Hey, Mark, good morning.
- 20:55Speaker 8: You think with Trump with his sense of humor, do
- 20:57Speaker 8: you think that the airport change Palm Beach, they would
- 21:01Speaker 8: change the airport code from PBI to TDS.
- 21:06Speaker 2: Well, yes, that's actually a good idea. No, they have
- 21:08Speaker 2: to change the code. It will no longer be PBI.
- 21:11Speaker 2: It'll probably be DJT Donald J. Trump. But you're right,
- 21:15Speaker 2: that would be you know what, that's a brilliant idea,
- 21:18Speaker 2: Absolutely brilliant. They have to, you know, the airport code.
- 21:23Speaker 2: It never quite matches the name, so I would think
- 21:25Speaker 2: DJT Donald J.
- 21:26Speaker 3: Trump.
- 21:27Speaker 2: But you're right, TDS would be the code for the
- 21:30Speaker 2: Trump airport. I'll pass that along. It's a great idea.
- 21:33Speaker 2: Let's go to Vincent and Brooklyn. Vincent, how you doing.
- 21:36Speaker 3: Yeah, that is a great idea. Good morning, Mark, Good
- 21:39Speaker 3: morning Matra. Mark Biden should get communists China to pony
- 21:43Speaker 3: up the money for his library. After all, she had
- 21:49Speaker 3: Biden in his back pocket all the time, all during
- 21:52Speaker 3: these years. Mark, people are forgetting that the gas prices
- 21:58Speaker 3: now across the country, the average prices that they were
- 22:04Speaker 3: all throughout to Joe biden presidency. They were high all
- 22:09Speaker 3: during Joe Biden's presidency. And let's not forget Barack Obamaware.
- 22:16Speaker 3: At one point in New York we were paying Here
- 22:19Speaker 3: in Brooklyn, I was paying four sixty nine a gallon
- 22:22Speaker 3: and that was for regular You know, Mark, every life,
- 22:28Speaker 3: every soldier's life is precious and we don't want to
- 22:31Speaker 3: lose any and Donald Trump's doing everything he can to
- 22:36Speaker 3: keep losses down to a minimum. But let's not forget that.
- 22:41Speaker 3: During World War Two went on for four years. There
- 22:45Speaker 3: were four hundred and nine thousand and seven hundred and
- 22:49Speaker 3: thirteen people lost their lives, over a million people wounded,
- 22:56Speaker 3: and we're now we're near I was talking about this
- 23:00Speaker 3: with Mara. They used to rationing gas, coffee, sugar, most
- 23:06Speaker 3: things at people.
- 23:07Speaker 2: Oh yeah, know that. That's why I called it. That's
- 23:09Speaker 2: why they called it the Big War. And it went
- 23:11Speaker 2: for years. This is going to be another.
- 23:12Speaker 3: Couple of weeks exactly. And it went on for four years.
- 23:16Speaker 3: And I remember I used to work for Butcher and
- 23:19Speaker 3: he was telling me how it was back then, that
- 23:21Speaker 3: sometimes he would get meat on the black market.
- 23:24Speaker 2: Yeah, no, no, it was rationing every Yeah, we should do that.
- 23:26Speaker 2: We should try rationing for two days, Vincent, great point,
- 23:30Speaker 2: thanks for calling. Hey. When we come back. Bill O'Reilly
- 23:32Speaker 2: will be with us next on seven to ten WR.
- 23:37Speaker 7: Here's more Marks alone on seven ten WR.
- 23:42Speaker 2: Well Bill O'Reilly the number one TV anchor for decades,
- 23:45Speaker 2: the biggest nonfiction author on earth. You should get his
- 23:48Speaker 2: latest book, Confronting Evil Now. You can go to Bill
- 23:51Speaker 2: O'Reilly dot com get the TV show, the column, everything,
- 23:54Speaker 2: but also make sure you watch the YouTube channel Bill
- 23:57Speaker 2: O'Reilly's YouTube channel, Great stuff, and you got to watch
- 24:01Speaker 2: his new podcast it's called We'll Do It Live. Great episodes.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Latest one is Steve Sharipa. Make sure you see or
- 24:07Speaker 2: listen to the Bill O'Reilly podcast Will Do It Live.
- 24:11Speaker 2: Bill O'Reilly, How you doing.
- 24:13Speaker 8: I'm busy just like you.
- 24:14Speaker 3: Mark Hey.
- 24:15Speaker 2: I love the podcast Steve Sharipa. That's my favorite episode.
- 24:19Speaker 2: They're all good, but he's great.
- 24:21Speaker 8: Thank you. And we got Steve Kroft coming up on Thursday,
- 24:26Speaker 8: the sixty Minutes. Steve Kroft, Yeah, that should be an
- 24:31Speaker 8: interesting conversation. He's an old time reporter like I am.
- 24:37Speaker 8: Came up the traditional way. He was Obama's go to guy.
- 24:43Speaker 8: You may remember on sixty Minutes. Knew all the legends,
- 24:49Speaker 8: Mike Wallace and Hewett and all those guys. And you know,
- 24:53Speaker 8: CBS in the news Now, a lot of changes going on.
- 24:56Speaker 8: I'm looking forward to that chat.
- 24:58Speaker 2: You used to work there a news and back then
- 25:01Speaker 2: it was a kind of a rational, sane place, wasn't it.
- 25:05Speaker 8: Yeah, I mean it was always intense. I worked for
- 25:08Speaker 8: Channel two for two years with Jim Jensen and Ron
- 25:14Speaker 8: Smith and Warner will for all those guys. And then
- 25:17Speaker 8: I got promoted to the national news Dan Rather, who
- 25:24Speaker 8: not particularly fond of and covered the wars in Central
- 25:29Speaker 8: America and the Falklands, things like that. So I was
- 25:31Speaker 8: busy there, but it was I would say it was
- 25:38Speaker 8: a traditional place with problems.
- 25:43Speaker 2: Yeah, well but compared to today's CBS News a little
- 25:47Speaker 2: more normal. Do you think they'll ever get these networks
- 25:49Speaker 2: back to normal?
- 25:50Speaker 8: Nah, it's too expensive.
- 25:54Speaker 3: You know.
- 25:54Speaker 8: Back when I was there, we used to whip around
- 25:56Speaker 8: the world first class fair and best hotels and you
- 26:02Speaker 8: were like, James Bond, Now it's Motel six and is
- 26:09Speaker 8: that Jet Blue on time? And the answer is no, Well.
- 26:13Speaker 2: But that's every business. That's most businesses.
- 26:16Speaker 8: Yeah, I mean, but when you were attasked to really
- 26:20Speaker 8: do an honest shob covering the news and you don't,
- 26:24Speaker 8: then there's a problem. And CBS has really gone down.
- 26:27Speaker 8: Now they try to bring it back, and I give
- 26:30Speaker 8: them credit for that. I don't know whether it will
- 26:33Speaker 8: work or not.
- 26:35Speaker 2: Now, Bill O'Reilly, the great historian, the listeners calling in
- 26:38Speaker 2: questions for you. Ronald Reagan re election wins forty nine states, unbelievable,
- 26:43Speaker 2: But what was the most successful election. Ever, nobody ever
- 26:47Speaker 2: won fifty, did they Washington?
- 26:51Speaker 8: Nobody dissented. Yeah, and he could have been King of America.
- 26:58Speaker 8: Talking about no Kings, they could have been wise it
- 27:02Speaker 8: and could have been the king. Boy, they loved him,
- 27:04Speaker 8: and rightly so. There were other landslides, But Reagan wiped
- 27:11Speaker 8: out Jimmy Carter because Carter was so inefficient on a
- 27:16Speaker 8: par with Joe Biden. You know, Biden was worse because
- 27:20Speaker 8: of the border. But boy, oh boy, they were both terrible.
- 27:24Speaker 8: And there's been a lot of terrible presidents, but these
- 27:26Speaker 8: two were really, really in the forefront of modern times.
- 27:32Speaker 2: Now, Bill, righty, would you give some advice to the
- 27:34Speaker 2: Democrats they want to go after Trump. They kid seem
- 27:37Speaker 2: to put their finger on what it is that's bothering them.
- 27:40Speaker 2: It's not He's not a king. This no Kings made
- 27:42Speaker 2: no sense.
- 27:44Speaker 8: Uh, well, that's the problem because No King's demonstration was
- 27:48Speaker 8: really a no solutions demonstration, That's what it was. So
- 27:53Speaker 8: we don't like chop Okay, I understand, and dissent is fine,
- 27:59Speaker 8: and it's it's a strength of our country. We should
- 28:04Speaker 8: be able to protest and responsibly. But if you're gonna
- 28:09Speaker 8: hate the guy and think he's the worst, then what
- 28:11Speaker 8: do you have that's better? So the best example is that,
- 28:18Speaker 8: according to just about every nuclear expert in the world,
- 28:22Speaker 8: Iran was very close to enriching uranium to the level
- 28:27Speaker 8: where it could have manufactured a knew very quickly. Well,
- 28:31Speaker 8: what's the Democratic Party's solution to that?
- 28:37Speaker 3: Nothing?
- 28:39Speaker 8: Nothing? And what's your solution to controlling immigration? We'll let
- 28:44Speaker 8: them all in. Give him amnesty. And that's Trump's strongest
- 28:50Speaker 8: card going into the midterms. So you may not like
- 28:53Speaker 8: him and you may not support the Iran war, although
- 28:56Speaker 8: if you don't support it, you really should have a reason.
- 29:00Speaker 8: Just I hate Trump Trump's war, But what are you
- 29:05Speaker 8: replacing Trump with?
- 29:07Speaker 6: What is a.
- 29:08Speaker 8: Democratic Congress is going to deliver. It's going to deliver
- 29:11Speaker 8: higher taxes, It's going to try to get amnesty for
- 29:15Speaker 8: all the millions of a document that people that are
- 29:18Speaker 8: here with some exceptions. But you really have to be
- 29:23Speaker 8: a miscreant for the Democrats that turn on you. If
- 29:26Speaker 8: you're an illegal alien, you really got to be bad.
- 29:31Speaker 8: So Trump is on, Okay, is this what you want?
- 29:36Speaker 8: And that's why the Democratic Party really they think that
- 29:40Speaker 8: they're gonna sweep. But I'm not so sure about that.
- 29:44Speaker 2: Yeah, it's months and months and months where anything could happen. So, hey,
- 29:50Speaker 2: you're a Nassau County resident. Bruce Blakeman, great county executive,
- 29:54Speaker 2: he's coming up in the police, he's closing the gap
- 29:57Speaker 2: with Kathy Hokel. I think he's got a good chance.
- 30:00Speaker 3: You think, yeah, I do.
- 30:02Speaker 8: He's got to get this funding thing, and they'll go
- 30:05Speaker 8: to federal court if they deny him in Albany the
- 30:08Speaker 8: funding because they did make a clerical error, the Blakeman
- 30:12Speaker 8: campaign did. But I don't think you can alter an
- 30:17Speaker 8: election financing an election for a clerical era that has
- 30:23Speaker 8: been corrected. And if the Democrats, you know, say no,
- 30:27Speaker 8: you're not getting any matching funds, I think has to
- 30:30Speaker 8: go to federal court and Blakeman will win. The problem
- 30:34Speaker 8: that Blakeman has is that people in New York don't
- 30:37Speaker 8: know him, and it's still to this day. I mean,
- 30:40Speaker 8: you go north of Dutchess County, then people don't know
- 30:45Speaker 8: Bruce Blakeman, and he's got to buy that. He's got
- 30:48Speaker 8: to get on television and establish himself. The advantage he
- 30:52Speaker 8: has is Hopel because Hoko is now tied to Mandami
- 31:00Speaker 8: and she wants to get away from him, but she's
- 31:02Speaker 8: not going to be able to do that. And the
- 31:04Speaker 8: worst he gets in the city, the worst is going
- 31:06Speaker 8: to get for Hope.
- 31:08Speaker 2: Yeah, so Blakeman could be this could be a very
- 31:11Speaker 2: Pataki like race. We didn't know him either, but he
- 31:15Speaker 2: just looked more genuine, more authentic, and people loved him
- 31:19Speaker 2: as they got to know him. So I could see
- 31:21Speaker 2: that happening here.
- 31:22Speaker 8: What do you think, Well, it just depends on New
- 31:24Speaker 8: York's tolerance for pain. You know, how much pain do
- 31:29Speaker 8: we have to experience here with this Democratic one party leadership?
- 31:35Speaker 8: And you know, people are fleeing. Everybody knows that the
- 31:39Speaker 8: big money is going to south. The budget deficit is insane.
- 31:44Speaker 8: Mandami is confused. He's thirty four years old. He can't
- 31:48Speaker 8: run the city. It's going to get worse and worse
- 31:50Speaker 8: and worse. He making every mistake you could possibly make.
- 31:55Speaker 8: He's allying himself with the most radical elements. He himself
- 31:58Speaker 8: is a communist and he is. You know, all you
- 32:02Speaker 8: have to do is look at the estate tax and
- 32:04Speaker 8: what he wants to take away from hard working Americans
- 32:07Speaker 8: who save their money and want to pass it along
- 32:10Speaker 8: to their family to their heiress. He wants to take
- 32:12Speaker 8: it all, and I'm me wants to take it all. Yeah,
- 32:17Speaker 8: that's communism.
- 32:19Speaker 3: And so.
- 32:22Speaker 8: The people of New York State, a lot of them
- 32:25Speaker 8: are distracted, a lot of them are poor, and they
- 32:29Speaker 8: want the handouts above all else. And I don't mean
- 32:32Speaker 8: to diminish poor people, but come on, we all know
- 32:35Speaker 8: what's going on there, and how much pain do you
- 32:39Speaker 8: want to absorb? And you know, I hate going into
- 32:44Speaker 8: that city now I used to love it. I got
- 32:47Speaker 8: to go tomorrow into the city. You know, it's dirty.
- 32:50Speaker 8: I don't feel threatened. I mean, you know when I'm
- 32:53Speaker 8: walking around, but I'm not walking around late at night.
- 32:57Speaker 8: But there's marijuana smoke on every block. You know, kids
- 33:01Speaker 8: got to look at these indignities of people on the
- 33:04Speaker 8: street doing all this crazy stuff. It's gonna get worse.
- 33:08Speaker 8: So that that's the key question in November. How much
- 33:12Speaker 8: pain do you want to absorb to keep the democratic
- 33:15Speaker 8: structure in place?
- 33:18Speaker 2: Well, hey, the Trump Presidential Library has been announced. It'll
- 33:22Speaker 2: be Miami. If this were ten years ago, wouldn't you
- 33:26Speaker 2: think he want that library in New York? But now
- 33:28Speaker 2: he can't do it because of the crazy left wing controlling.
- 33:31Speaker 8: Yeah, if he does it, it'll be indicted for whatever
- 33:37Speaker 8: it may be. He got five exits and you need eight,
- 33:40Speaker 8: so it's take it in the federal court. Look, Donald
- 33:45Speaker 8: Trump epitomized this New York. He epitomized this a swagger
- 33:48Speaker 8: of the city. I wrote a book called the United
- 33:52Speaker 8: States a Trump that demonstrated how he did what he
- 33:56Speaker 8: did as far as building himself up into this unbelievable
- 33:59Speaker 8: realist state colossus when his father didn't want any part
- 34:02Speaker 8: of it. The guy is a quintessential New Yorker and
- 34:07Speaker 8: now he can't come here. Yeah, there's something wrong about that.
- 34:12Speaker 2: Hey, even though I read in California there's an exodus
- 34:14Speaker 2: from there, biggest drop in population have experienced in many,
- 34:18Speaker 2: many years. So I assume we can blame Gavin Newsom
- 34:21Speaker 2: for that. Correct.
- 34:23Speaker 8: Well, I did a special this week on San Francisco
- 34:27Speaker 8: in the collapse of It. It's on Billoreilly dot com.
- 34:31Speaker 8: It's harrowing, absolutely harrowing, and it's mirrored on La County.
- 34:37Speaker 8: La County is not quite as bad as San Francisco yet,
- 34:40Speaker 8: because San Francisco is a smaller situation than a forty
- 34:44Speaker 8: thousand drug addic substance abuses running around causing all kinds
- 34:50Speaker 8: of problems. They're in a certain area, so you're overwhelmed.
- 34:55Speaker 8: Whereas La County's biggest county in the country. It's spread out,
- 35:00Speaker 8: same problem, no law enforcement, none, And so when you
- 35:05Speaker 8: have that kind of anarchy, people feel afraid because they shouldn't.
- 35:10Speaker 8: And if you get in trouble in La County, I
- 35:14Speaker 8: don't know where you go. It's not the cops. The
- 35:17Speaker 8: cops they're good, but the judges and the prosecutors won't
- 35:23Speaker 8: bring the cases. So forty thousand homeless drug addicts running
- 35:29Speaker 8: around San Francisco. It's ruined the city. You got to
- 35:32Speaker 8: watch that, somemonent. It's really something. You go to Bill
- 35:34Speaker 8: O'Reilly dot com. Just punch it right up and there
- 35:37Speaker 8: I am in the middle of the Tenderloin district. You know,
- 35:40Speaker 8: I'll spell on it out for you. It should never
- 35:42Speaker 8: happen in America. Something like that should never happen in
- 35:46Speaker 8: this country.
- 35:46Speaker 2: Everybody should go to Bill O'Reilly dot com. Make sure
- 35:49Speaker 2: you watch the San Francisco special. Also you get the
- 35:52Speaker 2: TV show The Column. Make sure you watch the new
- 35:54Speaker 2: podcast We'll Do It Live. Latest episode. Steve Sharipa and
- 35:59Speaker 2: Bill O'Reilly YouTube channel. All great stuff. Make sure you
- 36:02Speaker 2: watch it all and Bill O'Reilly thanks for being with us.
- 36:06Speaker 8: I appreciate it. Mark, thanks for having me all.
- 36:08Speaker 2: Right, take care. I don't forget. Curtis is now here.
- 36:12Speaker 2: Every morning. It's Curtis Leewa and Larry Mente now every
- 36:16Speaker 2: morning six to ten here on seven ten WR. Hey,
- 36:20Speaker 2: we're out of time, but I'll be back tomorrow at ten.
- 36:22Speaker 2: Talk to you then seven ten WR
