- 0:01Speaker 1: My point is really simple.
- 0:05Speaker 2: I don't see necessarily that there's going to be a
- 0:07Speaker 2: $ 200 or $ 250, $ 300 barrel of oil. I understand that
- 0:11Speaker 2: we are facing tremendous risks in this supply chain and
- 0:15Speaker 2: that it's the incremental volume in a commodity that sets
- 0:17Speaker 2: the commodity's price. It's not that base load that's moving
- 0:21Speaker 2: all the time. It's that extra gallon, extra barrel, that
- 0:24Speaker 2: extra ton or pound you have to buy. But We
- 0:29Speaker 2: shouldn't be declaring disaster before disaster hits. We should not
- 0:33Speaker 2: also be ignoring the risks. So I'm not saying there's
- 0:36Speaker 2: nothing to worry about, not at all. But I'm also
- 0:39Speaker 2: saying that these experts that I'm hearing, and all over
- 0:44Speaker 2: the place, they're out there screaming. When I look at them,
- 0:46Speaker 2: I typically find they have either a financial or political
- 0:49Speaker 2: motive for their doom thing. And when I hear people
- 0:52Speaker 2: saying that Iran is winning and the U.S. is losing,
- 0:54Speaker 2: I don't hear anything logical there. It's just this constant fear-mongering.
- 0:58Speaker 2: It's all the powers on their side. They're getting more powerful.
- 1:01Speaker 2: This is all for their good. Show me. They got
- 1:04Speaker 2: a population that can't ship oil.
- 1:06Speaker 3: They need money.
- 1:07Speaker 2: They can't fly planes. They can't go places. They've had
- 1:10Speaker 2: a lot of things destroyed in their country, and they
- 1:12Speaker 2: live in the fear that we could drop another bomb
- 1:13Speaker 2: any moment. So I think this is just a difficult
- 1:18Speaker 2: situation for us to watch unfold in real time. It's
- 1:21Speaker 2: a complex, multilateral negotiation, and the stakes are really high.
- 1:26Speaker 2: If Iran uses some of those short-range missiles and drones
- 1:29Speaker 2: to take out water supply, that is akin to murder
- 1:32Speaker 2: because those people that depend on that water supply are dead.
- 1:35Speaker 2: If they take out the oil infrastructure, that is akin
- 1:38Speaker 2: to murder because the civilian world that depends around the
- 1:42Speaker 2: world depends on that oil supply for things like fertilizer.
- 1:46Speaker 2: They will die. So the stakes are high. If it's
- 1:50Speaker 2: the end, this can't be resolved. I don't see any
- 1:52Speaker 2: situation where Trump goes in. I'm hearing the Israelis and
- 1:56Speaker 2: Israeli backers in the United States, the representatives in Congress
- 1:58Speaker 2: like Graham and Cruz, I'm hearing a lot of people
- 2:01Speaker 2: now saying what we were saying when this war started,
- 2:04Speaker 2: which is that to achieve regime change, you have to
- 2:06Speaker 2: really kill a lot of people. And now the people
- 2:10Speaker 2: representing Israel and the warmongers are all starting to talk
- 2:12Speaker 2: about nuclear attacks. I'm telling you, before we put boots
- 2:15Speaker 2: on the ground, I would bet that we soften up
- 2:17Speaker 2: the enemy by nuking. And that means we kill every
- 2:20Speaker 2: living thing wherever.
- 2:21Speaker 4: We drop that bomb.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Men, women, children, dogs, cats, Everything but cockroaches. So the
- 2:27Speaker 2: stakes are extraordinarily high. But I'm just saying, look, let's
- 2:31Speaker 2: pay attention. It's important that we evaluate this. We decide
- 2:36Speaker 2: whether this was a good decision or bad. Is it
- 2:37Speaker 2: well executed or not? That's our job as a citizen.
- 2:41Speaker 2: But I don't see the need to panic, and I
- 2:42Speaker 2: don't see the need to ignore it. It's a real threat.
- 2:45Speaker 2: But the doom saying should stop, this constant fear-mongering. And
- 2:51Speaker 2: we've got real existential issues in this country well beyond
- 2:54Speaker 2: what's going on in Iran, like what's going on in
- 2:57Speaker 2: our education system where we see states putting in performance
- 3:01Speaker 2: statistics that should in themselves be causing a revolution. You know,
- 3:05Speaker 2: there are states that have like 34% proficiency in reading
- 3:09Speaker 2: on average across the whole state.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Imagine that.
- 3:11Speaker 2: And the parents are like, well, I don't know who
- 3:14Speaker 2: won football Friday night. So we've got some real things
- 3:18Speaker 2: to pay attention to. This is one of them. But
- 3:20Speaker 2: I won't declare victory and I won't declare defeat until
- 3:23Speaker 2: we have more information.
- 3:26Speaker 5: Interesting.
- 3:27Speaker 6: What do you make of the Republicans in Ohio with
- 3:29Speaker 6: all of this fraud that's going on in Ohio and
- 3:31Speaker 6: DeWine giving his sales tax breaks to the data centers?
- 3:35Speaker 6: And this is Republicans. We're not talking about Minnesota and tampon, Tim.
- 3:40Speaker 2: Well, I've said many times that a 3R state should
- 3:43Speaker 2: be leading on policy on every issue. I know that
- 3:46Speaker 2: you've got hardcore conservative Republican pro-Americans who love their country
- 3:50Speaker 2: and love their state and love their kids in that state.
- 3:53Speaker 2: But DeWine is a disaster. The best thing that the
- 3:56Speaker 2: Attorney General, the acting, and the Secretary of State... and
- 4:02Speaker 2: all of those guys, the Auditor General, they should all
- 4:04Speaker 2: team hands, join up right now, and start pursuing this
- 4:07Speaker 2: stuff just as a matter of a campaign strategy. Because
- 4:11Speaker 2: if you're going to lose this state to radicals, it's
- 4:13Speaker 2: going to be because DeWine allowed this to happen, and
- 4:17Speaker 2: he knew it. We talked about fraud in Ohio openly
- 4:21Speaker 2: on the air. If we knew, he knew. So, you know,
- 4:25Speaker 2: he seems to be almost bound and determined to destroy
- 4:28Speaker 2: the Republican Party. I know there's not much time left,
- 4:30Speaker 2: but I'd like to see him impeached. Giving any tax
- 4:34Speaker 2: benefits or subsidies of any kind to data centers is
- 4:39Speaker 2: a serious tactical and financial error. There's not one single kind,
- 4:45Speaker 2: no element of public support money that should be spent
- 4:51Speaker 2: bringing those things in. These companies have valuations in the trillions.
- 4:56Speaker 2: The way they're setting up these deals is not necessarily
- 4:58Speaker 2: going to benefit these communities the way they think. These
- 5:02Speaker 2: deals have to be really thoroughly reviewed. We'll go into
- 5:04Speaker 2: this another time, but there are just some really important
- 5:06Speaker 2: elements like decommissioning. Where's the money? Because if we talked
- 5:11Speaker 2: about the other night, you know, three years in and
- 5:14Speaker 2: these things are obsolete, Well, who's taking them apart? Or
- 5:17Speaker 2: can the buildings be used for other purposes? Who's getting
- 5:19Speaker 2: rid of all this equipment? Who actually owns the building
- 5:22Speaker 2: and land and the equipment versus who was leasing it
- 5:26Speaker 2: and can walk away?
- 5:27Speaker 6: Yeah, but there's also the other issue of the fraud
- 5:30Speaker 6: that's taking place in Ohio, very similar to Minnesota, where
- 5:35Speaker 6: it appears just blatant incompetence of looking the other way
- 5:40Speaker 6: and tons of money being wasted. swindled from the federal
- 5:44Speaker 6: government and the state government.
- 5:47Speaker 2: It wasn't incompetent in Minnesota. They were in on it.
- 5:49Speaker 2: That's crystal clear. Eight years of reporting proves that. In Ohio,
- 5:53Speaker 2: I hope they were ignorant of it, but it's time
- 5:56Speaker 2: to ramp up and fix it. Look, if we got
- 5:59Speaker 2: rid of fraud, all the things that Fifth Avenue was
- 6:01Speaker 2: complaining about with funding and taxes, if we got rid
- 6:03Speaker 2: of fraud, we wouldn't have to pay any more taxes.
- 6:07Speaker 2: In fact, we could pay less. Their estimates by really...
- 6:12Speaker 2: Thoughtful people who studied this hard have up to a
- 6:15Speaker 2: trillion dollars of fraud a year in the United States.
- 6:18Speaker 2: We only pay $ 2. 6 trillion or something like that in
- 6:20Speaker 2: property in personal income taxes in this country. I'm sorry, nationwide, federal.
- 6:27Speaker 2: So get rid of this fraud. It's a third of
- 6:30Speaker 2: what we're paying in personal income taxes. Get rid of
- 6:33Speaker 2: it and give us the money back. Why are we
- 6:36Speaker 2: obligated to support all this fraud? Just so that the
- 6:38Speaker 2: Ferrari dealer can do well? So that the $ 500, 000 home
- 6:41Speaker 2: has a better market? So that private jets can fly?
- 6:46Speaker 5: No.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Cut it out aggressively. And that's exactly what the Republican
- 6:50Speaker 2: administration right now should do. They should tell DeWine to
- 6:53Speaker 2: go pound salt. And all those other elected officials who
- 6:56Speaker 2: are not elected to do DeWine's bidding, they're elected to
- 6:59Speaker 2: serve the public. Join hands. Break out the calculators and
- 7:03Speaker 2: the sniffer dog. Go find the fraud and stop it.
- 7:08Speaker 6: Yeah, but don't we have the right to say, okay, DeWine,
- 7:11Speaker 6: why didn't you stop this fraud? We're talking millions, potentially
- 7:15Speaker 6: billions of dollars when you add it all up. Where
- 7:18Speaker 6: was our auditor, state auditor? Where was our attorney general?
- 7:23Speaker 6: All these people in all these offices and all these employees.
- 7:27Speaker 6: And once again, no one's checking on any of this stuff.
- 7:31Speaker 6: They're just sending the checks out?
- 7:32Speaker 2: To be clear, this is a nationwide issue, and we
- 7:35Speaker 2: absolutely have the right to ask DeWine that question. The
- 7:37Speaker 2: problem is he doesn't care. Ask it, don't ask it,
- 7:40Speaker 2: he doesn't care.
- 7:40Speaker 6: Yeah, but I mean, you take a look. It's Tampon, Tim.
- 7:42Speaker 6: It's Newsom. It's DeWine. And I'm sure it's in other states,
- 7:46Speaker 6: both Republican and Democrat states. Not all. I would hope
- 7:51Speaker 6: not in Florida. But outside of that, I think it's
- 7:54Speaker 6: in a lot of these other states. How many billions
- 7:57Speaker 6: of your tax dollars have been swindled by people?
- 8:00Speaker 2: It's trillions. It's trillions. It's absolutely trillions of dollars. And
- 8:06Speaker 2: it's not just the swindling. It's also paying $ 600 for
- 8:10Speaker 2: a $ 200 item. It's real estate deals. It's a host
- 8:13Speaker 2: of things that have been done. Subsidies for projects.
- 8:16Speaker 7: Why?
- 8:17Speaker 2: Just to make more profit for the project owner? Yes.
- 8:22Speaker 2: We have a systemic problem in this country, and Mike
- 8:25Speaker 2: DeWine has all the requisite knowledge to have stopped it.
- 8:30Speaker 2: And he didn't. I'm telling you, I think he's on
- 8:31Speaker 2: a mission to destroy the Republican Party in the.
- 8:33Speaker 3: State of Ohio.
- 8:35Speaker 2: I just can't imagine what this guy's thinking other than,
- 8:38Speaker 2: I'm here for my buddies and the Haitian people.
- 8:42Speaker 6: Yeah, but what about the Ohio citizen and taxpayer?
- 8:45Speaker 8: Screw it.
- 8:46Speaker 2: Like everybody else. We're all in this boat together. Remember,
- 8:49Speaker 2: most of this money comes from the federal till. So
- 8:52Speaker 2: it's in the $ 40 trillion that's been stolen.
- 8:55Speaker 3: Right?
- 8:55Speaker 2: It's the $ 40 trillion we spent and have nothing to
- 8:57Speaker 2: show for it. That's why. So we're screwed. I mean,
- 9:02Speaker 2: we've been taxed to death. I guarantee you that for
- 9:05Speaker 2: the majority of your listeners who are at least those
- 9:08Speaker 2: that are working and probably almost everybody, government has got
- 9:11Speaker 2: to be one of their highest cost items. Between sales tax,
- 9:14Speaker 2: property tax, all the other taxes they're paying, income taxes,
- 9:18Speaker 2: all these taxes, fees, fines, all the things you're paying
- 9:21Speaker 2: the government. I guarantee you that one of the most
- 9:24Speaker 2: expensive things they pay for is government. That's insanity. But
- 9:28Speaker 2: that's what we're doing because The number of people with
- 9:32Speaker 2: their beak in that trough is uncountable. You know, 23
- 9:35Speaker 2: million people working in government, roughly. Something like that, 21, 23.
- 9:39Speaker 2: And then you've got all the people on grants, all
- 9:43Speaker 2: the people on, you know, I don't know if they're
- 9:45Speaker 2: counting all of the educators, but educators getting paid by tax.
- 9:52Speaker 2: It's an endless stream. All of Lockheed Martin is basically
- 9:56Speaker 2: employed by government. They're all government workers.
- 9:59Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:02Speaker 6: They love the military. They love all the conflicts. There's
- 10:05Speaker 6: always people making money on them. G2, appreciate your time
- 10:09Speaker 6: on this Friday. Hoping you'll have a terrific weekend, great weather.
- 10:12Speaker 6: Get back in the bunker and enjoy.
- 10:14Speaker 3: Thanks.

- 11:59Speaker 3: game of a three-game weekend series. Jim Rosenhouse along with
- 12:03Speaker 3: you about a half hour prior to tonight's first pitch.
- 12:06Speaker 3: Great night for baseball on a Sugardale dollar dog night.
- 12:09Speaker 3: Post-game fireworks as well. And the Guardians trying to make
- 12:12Speaker 3: it two in a row in the win column. After
- 12:15Speaker 3: their win on Wednesday in the series finale against Washington,
- 12:19Speaker 3: Cleveland now eight games over the. 500 mark and three
- 12:22Speaker 3: ahead of the second-place White Sox in the American League
- 12:26Speaker 3: Central Division. Disappointing season so far for the Red Sox.
- 12:30Speaker 3: They've already fired their manager, Alex Cora. They come in
- 12:33Speaker 3: 23-32 on the season. They are at the bottom of
- 12:37Speaker 3: the American League East, 12 games back of front-running Tampa Bay.
- 12:42Speaker 3: Stay tuned. We'll have more to come after this. On
- 12:58Speaker 3: Wednesday afternoon against the Nationals, avoiding a sweep, that means
- 13:02Speaker 3: they have now not been swept in 28 straight series
- 13:07Speaker 3: dating back to last August. That's the longest streak in
- 13:11Speaker 3: the American League heading into play tonight. Stay tuned. We'll
- 13:14Speaker 3: have more to come after this.
- 13:17Speaker 10: Here's the Bet365 Minute, where winning is everything, with Scott Davidson.
- 13:21Speaker 11: Let's look at the numbers tonight. The opener from Progressive Field,
- 13:24Speaker 11: Guardians minus $ 1. 30, and the total is eight. Now, two
- 13:28Speaker 11: winners in a row this week. Let's make it three tonight.
- 13:30Speaker 11: I got a total that I like, and I'm going.
- 13:32Speaker 11: with the White Sox and the Tigers to go over 8.5.
- 13:35Speaker 11: Now Detroit's pitching staff, it has been decimated with injuries.
- 13:39Speaker 6: Troy Melton, no exception.
- 13:40Speaker 11: This is just his second start of the year, so
- 13:42Speaker 11: how deep he'll go, we'll find out.
- 13:45Speaker 6: He was okay in his first.
- 13:46Speaker 11: Game, but I like the White Sox offense right now.
- 13:48Speaker 11: They're rolling with 21 runs over their last two games.
- 13:52Speaker 11: They hand the ball to Eric Fetty. He hasn't been good.
- 13:55Speaker 11: Almost a 5.5 ERA through 10 starts. White Sox, Tigers,
- 13:59Speaker 11: over 8.5 my play of the day. Now you can
- 14:01Speaker 11: join me when you download the Bet365 app. Remember, you

- 14:15Speaker 10: located in Ohio.
- 14:17Speaker 12: The pitch.
- 14:21Speaker 3: Swung on a one-hopper to second. Lozano flips to second.
- 14:24Speaker 13: One.
- 14:24Speaker 3: Rocio turns two. How about the kid, Will Dion?
- 14:29Speaker 14: A five-pitch Major League debut, and he retires the Nats
- 14:34Speaker 14: here in the seventh.
- 14:37Speaker 3: Welcome back to Guardian's Warm-Up. We're joined by Will Dion,
- 14:40Speaker 3: who made his Major League debut on Tuesday night here. Will,
- 14:45Speaker 3: I'm sure it's a thrill for anybody and for you,
- 14:48Speaker 3: the journey here. has had its ups and downs. What
- 14:50Speaker 3: was it like out there on Tuesday night for you?
- 14:52Speaker 1: It was incredible.
- 14:54Speaker 15: I mean, I can't even put into words how awesome
- 14:57Speaker 15: and special it was. It was a day I dreamed
- 15:01Speaker 15: of as a kid.
- 15:03Speaker 3: And I'm sure any pitcher wonders, hey, will my stuff
- 15:06Speaker 3: play in the major leagues? And you get through three
- 15:08Speaker 3: innings successfully. And at what point did you say, hey,
- 15:13Speaker 3: my stuff's working up here and I know I belong
- 15:16Speaker 3: up here?
- 15:17Speaker 15: Uh, I'd probably say in spring, I trusted my stuff
- 15:20Speaker 15: in spring and I made some changes in, uh, like
- 15:23Speaker 15: seeing how my stuff played in spring training against those hitters.
- 15:25Speaker 15: It gave me the confidence to go in this year
- 15:27Speaker 15: and to be able to go out there to trust
- 15:30Speaker 15: the catchers too.
- 15:31Speaker 3: When you look at your journey, obviously not easy. Take
- 15:34Speaker 3: us back to last summer when, when you were asked
- 15:36Speaker 3: to go to the bullpen and then see how that
- 15:38Speaker 3: would work out. What were your initial reactions and then
- 15:41Speaker 3: how'd you get through that to, to make it a positive?
- 15:44Speaker 1: Uh, at first I was, I was mad.
- 15:47Speaker 15: Uh, becoming a starter or I was a starter my
- 15:50Speaker 15: whole life and uh being moved to the bullpen and
- 15:53Speaker 15: it was uh caught off guard for the most part
- 15:57Speaker 15: and uh so I was upset frustrated uh but after
- 16:02Speaker 15: like two weeks or.
- 16:03Speaker 1: So I uh.
- 16:05Speaker 15: Swallowed my pride and went to the bullpen and uh
- 16:09Speaker 15: I enjoyed every second of it and heads it's up
- 16:12Speaker 15: and down inside the bullpen like every other uh outing
- 16:15Speaker 15: in year and uh But I was able to actually
- 16:19Speaker 15: find enjoyment in this game again. So that was probably
- 16:23Speaker 15: one of the best parts.
- 16:25Speaker 3: I think everybody takes that for granted that players enjoy
- 16:28Speaker 3: the game. But what can the frustrations be? And then
- 16:31Speaker 3: when you do find that joy again, how much of
- 16:33Speaker 3: a difference can that make?
- 16:35Speaker 15: You become grateful and thankful. Going through those ups and
- 16:39Speaker 15: downs and being frustrated and you're like, you know what?
- 16:44Speaker 15: Maybe God does have a plan. You just trust his plan.
- 16:48Speaker 15: His plan for me is to be in the bullpen.
- 16:51Speaker 15: The whole goal was for me to actually find enjoyment
- 16:54Speaker 15: in baseball. That's what exactly happened.
- 16:57Speaker 3: Stuff-wise, is it different out of the pen or fairly similar?
- 17:03Speaker 15: I'd say it's different out of the pen. It's a
- 17:04Speaker 15: lot more my mentality of just pounding the zone, trying
- 17:10Speaker 15: to get in and out. Starting was more structured, more
- 17:13Speaker 15: of a plan. You've got to prepare for Three or
- 17:16Speaker 15: four times, bullpen, it's probably going to face these guys once.
- 17:21Speaker 15: If I face them twice, I'll figure it out.
- 17:23Speaker 16: Second time, but for the most part, here's everything.
- 17:27Speaker 17: Good luck.
- 17:29Speaker 3: You look at sharing it with people that are so
- 17:31Speaker 3: important in your life. Tell us about who was here
- 17:34Speaker 3: for your debut and why that was so important.
- 17:37Speaker 15: It was my wife, my parents, and my in-laws. I'm
- 17:40Speaker 15: truly thankful that they were able to make it out
- 17:42Speaker 15: and I was able to share this day with them.
- 17:45Speaker 15: It was truly special, and it's a day that we'll
- 17:48Speaker 15: never forget.
- 17:50Speaker 3: Andy Tracy, the AAA manager, has made a living out
- 17:54Speaker 3: of telling guys they can go to the big leagues.
- 17:56Speaker 3: How did he tell you, and what were your reactions?
- 18:00Speaker 15: He told me in my hotel room Monday night. It
- 18:04Speaker 15: was me and my roommate, Ryan Webb. We were getting
- 18:06Speaker 15: ready to play the show, and we were getting ready
- 18:08Speaker 15: to go golfing the next day, and Tracy knocks on
- 18:11Speaker 15: the door, and... He comes in, and he's asking us
- 18:16Speaker 15: if we got our golf vouchers.
- 18:18Speaker 1: And we were like, no. He goes, well, we need
- 18:22Speaker 1: golf vouchers, so we're going to order some.
- 18:24Speaker 15: Webb, are you going golfing?
- 18:26Speaker 16: He said, yeah.
- 18:27Speaker 15: And he asked me if I was going golfing. I said, yeah,
- 18:30Speaker 15: of course. And he goes, you sure you don't want
- 18:33Speaker 15: to go to Cleveland? I was like, yeah, I'll go
- 18:35Speaker 15: to Cleveland.
- 18:37Speaker 3: And that is a perfect way to go. Will, congratulations.
- 18:40Speaker 13: Thank you.
- 18:41Speaker 3: Thank you. That's Guardians relief pitcher Will Dion made his

- 21:03Speaker 3: now for the pregame weather forecast from our friends at WKYC.
- 21:08Speaker 3: It's presented by Shores and Islands, Ohio.

- 21:19Speaker 20: of sunshine, temperatures topping out in the upper 60s and
- 21:22Speaker 20: Cleveland low 70s farther south. Mid-70s expected for Sunday with
- 21:26Speaker 20: more sunshine. In the 3 News Weather Center, I'm Chief
- 21:29Speaker 20: Meteorologist Betsy Kling.
- 21:30Speaker 3: What a baseball night weather-wise. When we come back, Tom Hamilton.
- 21:35Speaker 3: We'll talk baseball with manager Stephen Vogt, the Key Bank
- 21:38Speaker 3: Manager Show, next. Hi again, everybody. With Cleveland manager Stephen Boat,
- 23:50Speaker 3: this is Tom Hamilton. Welcome to the Manager's Show brought
- 23:53Speaker 3: to you by KeyBank. Man, did that break come at
- 23:58Speaker 3: the right time for your ball club. What a way
- 24:00Speaker 3: to go into it with a win over Washington. Explain
- 24:04Speaker 3: why just a day off at home is so much
- 24:08Speaker 3: different and so much better.
- 24:10Speaker 4: You're not traveling. I mean, you're sleeping in your bed.
- 24:12Speaker 4: You get to have a home-cooked meal. You get to
- 24:14Speaker 4: hang out with your family. You can catch up on things.
- 24:18Speaker 4: errands you need to run over the last two weeks.
- 24:20Speaker 4: It's just great to get an off day at home
- 24:23Speaker 4: to where you're not traveling. You know you're coming back
- 24:25Speaker 4: to our ballpark. They don't happen very often. When you
- 24:28Speaker 4: get one, a lot of guys go play golf. A
- 24:30Speaker 4: lot of guys will spend the day just being at home.
- 24:33Speaker 4: It gives you an opportunity to do the things that
- 24:34Speaker 4: you've wanted to do for a couple weeks and get
- 24:36Speaker 4: them done.
- 24:37Speaker 3: I can imagine what it is for you, but take
- 24:39Speaker 3: yourself back to being a player. Voters, Did a day
- 24:43Speaker 3: off help you more mentally than physically?
- 24:47Speaker 19: Absolutely.
- 24:47Speaker 4: You get to turn off for, you know, especially with
- 24:49Speaker 4: an off day at home, you kind of get to
- 24:51Speaker 4: turn off for over 48 hours.
- 24:53Speaker 16: And when you're able to.
- 24:54Speaker 4: Do that, you can zoom out, you can not worry
- 24:58Speaker 4: about results for a day, and you can really get
- 25:00Speaker 4: back to like, okay, what do I need to do?
- 25:02Speaker 4: What adjustments do I need to make? What's my routine
- 25:05Speaker 4: going to look like on Friday when I get back?
- 25:07Speaker 4: And it gives you a lot of time to process
- 25:08Speaker 4: kind of where you are and not be thinking about
- 25:10Speaker 4: the game.
- 25:11Speaker 3: I know you have no say in the schedule, so
- 25:14Speaker 3: you just play when they tell you. You've played more
- 25:17Speaker 3: games than any team. You've had a number of these
- 25:19Speaker 3: where you play 13 games in a row. Sometimes you'll
- 25:22Speaker 3: start a year with so many off days, it's hard
- 25:25Speaker 3: to get into a rhythm. Do you actually prefer this,
- 25:28Speaker 3: that you've played a lot?
- 25:29Speaker 19: Now that we're done with it.
- 25:31Speaker 4: You know, I think every team gets the same amount
- 25:33Speaker 4: of off days to play the same amount of games. And,
- 25:35Speaker 4: you know, I know we have a number of off
- 25:37Speaker 4: days coming up in June, which is nice. And But
- 25:40Speaker 4: there really isn't, I don't know if one is better
- 25:42Speaker 4: than the other because every team goes through it and
- 25:44Speaker 4: you play the same amount of games, you play the
- 25:45Speaker 4: same teams, and everybody's got a tough schedule in their
- 25:48Speaker 4: own regard because it is 162 games in 183 days.
- 25:51Speaker 4: And no matter how you split that up, it's going
- 25:53Speaker 4: to be taxing.
- 25:55Speaker 3: So the bereavement list for Stephen Kwan due to a
- 25:59Speaker 3: family matter, Stuart Fairchild comes up from Columbus. Why Stuart?
- 26:06Speaker 3: And you've got to tell us the story about how
- 26:08Speaker 3: you actually were teammates and your first, uh, kind of
- 26:13Speaker 3: meeting together, so to speak.
- 26:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:15Speaker 4: So, um, obviously our thoughts are with Quani and his
- 26:17Speaker 4: family and what they're going through. So, um, but you know,
- 26:20Speaker 4: it's beautiful that major league baseball has this, where he
- 26:22Speaker 4: can go be with his family during a tough time. So, uh,
- 26:25Speaker 4: we'll miss Steven, but, um, yeah, Stuart's here and, uh,
- 26:28Speaker 4: we wanted to get Stuart here, another right-handed bat, another
- 26:31Speaker 4: somebody who can play center field. And, uh, I think
- 26:33Speaker 4: it's going to compliment the roster really well for the weekend. And, um,
- 26:36Speaker 4: you know, Stuart and I were teammates with the Diamondbacks
- 26:39Speaker 4: back in 2021. He got called up about, I can't
- 26:43Speaker 4: remember what month, I'm sure he'll remember, but his Major
- 26:46Speaker 4: League debut was pinch running for me, which I was
- 26:48Speaker 4: more than thrilled.
- 26:49Speaker 3: Come on out.
- 26:50Speaker 4: Come get this 36-year-old catcher that can't run. Stuart and
- 26:54Speaker 4: I got to play together for a few months in 2021.
- 26:56Speaker 24: Is this bizarre for you?
- 26:58Speaker 3: You're managing a guy that you played with?
- 27:00Speaker 4: Yeah, I think he's number three or four. We had
- 27:03Speaker 4: Ramon Laureano and Tyler Beattie back in 2024 and Um,
- 27:06Speaker 4: so it is, it's a little bit different, but, um,
- 27:09Speaker 4: you know, I'm so far removed from playing. It feels like,
- 27:12Speaker 4: you know, eons ago that I was playing and, uh,
- 27:14Speaker 4: but it is pretty cool to like kind of come
- 27:16Speaker 4: full circle with guys.
- 27:18Speaker 3: You're in first place. I know you don't get caught
- 27:20Speaker 3: up in that now, but you've played really well now
- 27:23Speaker 3: for two months. Voter, in some ways, how are you
- 27:26Speaker 3: doing this here? The last two, three weeks, you've had
- 27:29Speaker 3: a number of guys scuffling at the plate, but yet
- 27:31Speaker 3: you keep winning.
- 27:32Speaker 13: Our pitching, our pitching has been so good. And, um,
- 27:36Speaker 13: That's how we're built.
- 27:36Speaker 19: We're built to win with.
- 27:37Speaker 4: Pitching and defense, and then the offense is trending. I
- 27:40Speaker 4: really like the way we're swinging the bats. It was
- 27:42Speaker 4: a tough week. We ran into some tough arms, and
- 27:45Speaker 4: we got away from our identity a little bit. That's
- 27:47Speaker 4: going to happen again. I hate to break it, but
- 27:50Speaker 4: we're going to go through these weeks. They're going to happen,
- 27:52Speaker 4: and it's how can we limit those weeks to three,
- 27:54Speaker 4: four days? How can we limit those three, four days
- 27:56Speaker 4: to one? That's where a young team, we're going to
- 27:59Speaker 4: continue to learn and help these guys understand that it
- 28:02Speaker 4: doesn't matter what happened yesterday, and there's no tomorrow.
- 28:04Speaker 13: It's all about today.
- 28:05Speaker 3: You know, you and I haven't talked about him at
- 28:08Speaker 3: all for the most part. I mean, Cade Smith has
- 28:11Speaker 3: been on a run here since the middle of April.
- 28:13Speaker 3: That's as good as anybody in the game. What stands
- 28:17Speaker 3: out to you when you talk about Cade?
- 28:20Speaker 13: Command. I mean, he's throwing the ball where he wants
- 28:22Speaker 13: it to go.
- 28:22Speaker 4: You know, early in the year was dealing with some
- 28:24Speaker 4: delivery issues and the command was off, you know, pitching
- 28:27Speaker 4: in bad counts, the split movement wasn't great. And, uh,
- 28:31Speaker 4: But now he's throwing his fastball where he wants to.
- 28:32Speaker 4: The split command has been great, and that sweeper is
- 28:34Speaker 4: really coming along as a really good third pitch.
- 28:36Speaker 13: So when you know you're going to.
- 28:38Speaker 4: Face Cade Smith, you know you're going to get fastballs
- 28:41Speaker 4: over the plate, and you've got to be ready for it.
- 28:43Speaker 4: But then he'll drop a split or a sweeper, and
- 28:45Speaker 4: it's not a fastball. So we've just got to continue
- 28:48Speaker 4: to keep Cade where he is, not overuse him. And
- 28:52Speaker 4: when we do get these games where we're ahead, let's
- 28:54Speaker 4: keep adding on runs so we can avoid using our
- 28:56Speaker 4: big boys at the back end.
- 28:57Speaker 3: Cleveland manager Stephen Vogt, Tom Hamilton, inviting you to stay tuned.
- 29:01Speaker 3: It's Cleveland and Boston next on the Cleveland Clinic Radio Network.
- 31:13Speaker 3: Welcome back to the Bet365 Guardians warm-up show. Time for
- 31:18Speaker 3: the pitching matchup, and the Red Sox go with an
- 31:20Speaker 3: opener tonight. It is left-hander Tyler Samaniego, who's 0-2 on
- 31:25Speaker 3: the year, but in 18 games his earned run average
- 31:29Speaker 3: is 1.04. All of that has been out of the bullpen.
- 31:33Speaker 3: He'll open tonight for Brian Baio, normally a starter. He's
- 31:37Speaker 3: 2-5 on the year with an earned run average of 6.43.
- 31:42Speaker 3: Slade Ciccone on the mound for the Guardians, 3-5 on
- 31:45Speaker 3: the season, an earned run average after 11 starts of 5.18,
- 31:49Speaker 3: trying to bounce back from a loss against the Phillies
- 31:52Speaker 3: last weekend in Philadelphia. That's your pitching matchup, and that'll
- 31:56Speaker 3: do it for Guardians warm-up. Stay tuned. We have the
- 31:58Speaker 3: starting lineups and the first pitch. They come your way next.

- 41:39Speaker 6: Hope you'll be a part of it.
- 41:40Speaker 14: We have a light breeze blowing out, and finally, we
- 41:44Speaker 14: have legitimate baseball weather here in downtown Cleveland. Guardians in
- 41:49Speaker 14: first place at 33-25. They have a three-game lead over
- 41:54Speaker 14: the White Sox in the AL Central. And the Boston
- 41:58Speaker 14: Red Sox, believe it or not, dead last in the
- 42:02Speaker 14: AL East. They're already 12 games out of first. The
- 42:08Speaker 14: Red Sox, a stunning start at 23-32. And boy, oh boy,
- 42:15Speaker 14: you talk about a long climb back into playoff contention.
- 42:21Speaker 14: You can forget about winning the East because, let's face it,
- 42:25Speaker 14: It's one thing if you've got one team to chase
- 42:28Speaker 14: like Cleveland did last year in the Detroit Tigers, but
- 42:32Speaker 14: Boston's looking at Tampa Bay, the Yankees, Toronto. Those are
- 42:38Speaker 14: all three playoff teams as far as the caliber of
- 42:43Speaker 14: those ball clubs. They're a long way back.
- 42:45Speaker 3: But again, when you've got the wild card, three of them,
- 42:49Speaker 3: you're really never out of it, especially Atlanta.
- 42:52Speaker 6: When we still haven't reached the month of June.
- 42:55Speaker 3: The umpiring tonight, John Tumpain, the home plate umpire and
- 42:59Speaker 3: the crew chief. It'll be Brennan Miller at first, Austin
- 43:03Speaker 3: Jones at second, Ben May at third, 325 down the lines,
- 43:08Speaker 3: 370 to left center, 375 to right center, 400 to
- 43:11Speaker 3: dead center. The 19-foot wall from the left field corner
- 43:15Speaker 3: to center, then from center to the right field corner,
- 43:19Speaker 3: the 9-foot wall. Slade Ciccone gets the baseball tonight for Cleveland.
- 43:26Speaker 3: The right-hander is starting to change things up a bit
- 43:30Speaker 3: in visiting with Slade here since his last start.
- 43:34Speaker 14: He admitted that, look, I've quit throwing the slider. It's
- 43:38Speaker 14: just not a good enough pitch. And what he has
- 43:41Speaker 14: incorporated now is a split finger. So what Slade Ciccone
- 43:46Speaker 14: is going with now are really three different fastballs. The four-seamer,
- 43:52Speaker 14: the sinker, and the cutter. Then he has the curve,
- 43:55Speaker 14: and now he's added that split finger as one of
- 43:59Speaker 14: his off-speed pitches. And so it is still a work
- 44:03Speaker 14: in progress, and we'll see how much he uses it tonight.
- 44:08Speaker 3: He is really excited about it. You think about it, folks.
- 44:13Speaker 3: You're two months into the season, and you're coming up
- 44:16Speaker 3: with a new pitch, and oh yeah, by the way,
- 44:19Speaker 3: let's throw it against Major League hitters. That takes a
- 44:22Speaker 3: lot of conviction and a lot of confidence. We'll see
- 44:25Speaker 3: how much he uses it here tonight against a Red
- 44:29Speaker 3: Sox team that is the worst offensive team in the
- 44:33Speaker 3: American League, and that is hard to fathom when you
- 44:37Speaker 3: play 81 games at Fenway Park. Jaron Durant will lead
- 44:41Speaker 3: it off. The left-handed hitting left fielder. Durant starting to
- 44:45Speaker 3: get it going, but had a really tough start to
- 44:49Speaker 3: his campaign on the year, batting 213, 8 homers, 28 RBIs.
- 44:54Speaker 14: Ciccone the set, and tonight's first pitch, and it's in there,
- 44:59Speaker 14: a strike. We're underway here at the corner of Carnegie
- 45:03Speaker 14: and Ontario. 70 degrees, our game time temp. Ciccone is ready.
- 45:12Speaker 14: He lets it fly. And Duran hits a weak ground
- 45:16Speaker 14: ball to first. Actually, it hit off of him. It's
- 45:20Speaker 14: a foul ball, says home plate umpire John Tumpain. That
- 45:25Speaker 14: is why it became such a weak ground ball to
- 45:27Speaker 14: first as Duran hit that right off the top of
- 45:31Speaker 14: his front foot. Duran has been getting it going lately, batting.
- 45:36Speaker 3: 340 over his last 11 games. Red Sox tonight. Red jerseys,
- 45:42Speaker 3: the navy blue, white trim, and the gray pants. Cleveland,
- 45:46Speaker 3: they've got the City Connect jerseys. Now the 0-2 pitch.
- 45:52Speaker 3: And it's a touch inside. One ball, two strikes. Outfield
- 45:59Speaker 3: deep toward right field for Duran. This guy has power.
- 46:03Speaker 3: He runs well. One of the more exciting players in
- 46:07Speaker 3: the American League. The next offering backs him off the plate.
- 46:10Speaker 3: 2-2 the count. Slade Ciccone faced Boston once last year.
- 46:17Speaker 3: That's the only time he's pitched against them. It did
- 46:20Speaker 3: not go well last September at Fenway. Now the 2-2 delivery.
- 46:26Speaker 3: And it's swung on. Bang foul first base side. Will
- 46:29Speaker 3: do it again. He had a no decision last year
- 46:33Speaker 3: at Fenway. A game Cleveland lost 11-7. He gave up
- 46:39Speaker 3: seven runs in five and a third. But this is
- 46:43Speaker 3: a whole different Boston club offensively. My goodness, are they scuffling.
- 46:48Speaker 3: Now the 2-2 pitch.
- 46:51Speaker 14: Swung on line to third over the leaping Ramirez in
- 46:54Speaker 14: the left of ace hit. So Jaron Duran got down
- 47:00Speaker 14: in the count and ends up with a single the
- 47:03Speaker 14: other way. And that'll bring up Zaydon Raffaella. Sadon Raffaella,
- 47:09Speaker 14: the gifted right-handed hitting center fielder, batting. 283, five homers,
- 47:15Speaker 14: 23 RBIs. Duran, a threat to run. He's 10 for
- 47:21Speaker 14: 10 in that department. The pitch, punted back, foul, strike one.
- 47:27Speaker 14: Red Sox do more bunting and running than maybe teams
- 47:30Speaker 14: of the past. I mean, you look at Boston, and
- 47:35Speaker 14: right now, They're seventh in the American League with 40 steals,
- 47:40Speaker 14: but there were a lot of years Boston didn't have
- 47:43Speaker 14: 40 steals in a season. Now the 0-1 to Raffaella,
- 47:48Speaker 14: and it's in there 0-2. Durant with those 10 steals
- 47:56Speaker 14: yet to be caught leads Boston in that department.
- 48:03Speaker 3: Now the pitch. Swung on a chopper near second. Clubbed
- 48:07Speaker 3: by Bazana. Steps. Throws.
- 48:08Speaker 6: Double play.
- 48:11Speaker 14: Now that was tailor made right at the bag at second.
- 48:15Speaker 14: And Bazana turns two. Angel Martinez in left. Daniel Schneeman
- 48:20Speaker 14: patrol center. Chase DeLauder in right. Kyle Manzardo at first.
- 48:24Speaker 14: Travis Bazana at second. Ryan Rocchio at short. Jose Ramirez
- 48:29Speaker 14: at third. And a Patrick Bailey doing the catching. No score.
- 48:34Speaker 14: Boston batting. First inning. Bases empty.
- 48:37Speaker 3: Two down for Wilier Abreu. Fouling it upstairs. Strike one.
- 48:43Speaker 3: This is a really good player. Man, how many times
- 48:46Speaker 3: has he robbed Cleveland of home runs or extra base
- 48:50Speaker 3: hits playing right field? Left-handed power hitter batting 286. Six homers,
- 48:55Speaker 3: 22 ribbies. The pitch, and it's outside of ball. Slate
- 49:01Speaker 3: Ciccone on the year. Three wins, five losses, 518 ERA,
- 49:06Speaker 3: 12th start, five innings to start, seven strikeouts, three walks
- 49:11Speaker 3: per nine. The pitch, and it's fouled back in the
- 49:15Speaker 3: count of one and two. The thing about Ciccone, though,
- 49:19Speaker 3: he pitched much better lately in his last four starts
- 49:23Speaker 3: against Philly, Detroit, the Angels, and Kansas City.
- 49:28Speaker 6: A two and one.
- 49:29Speaker 3: Record in those four starts with a 291 ERA. Now
- 49:34Speaker 3: the pitch swung on, a tamper foul, first base side,
- 49:39Speaker 3: and the count Stays one and two. Boy, he has
- 49:42Speaker 3: gone to a lot of sinkers and four-seam fastballs. Here
- 49:46Speaker 3: in the top of the first, Boston yet to score.
- 49:48Speaker 3: Two outs, nobody on. Dollar Bank, the proud banking partner
- 49:52Speaker 3: of the Guardians. 28 locations across Northeast Ohio ready to
- 49:57Speaker 3: provide solutions to help get you there. Ciccone's ready. The
- 50:04Speaker 3: 6'4 right-hander lets it rip.
- 50:06Speaker 5: Swing and a miss.
- 50:08Speaker 3: Peter ate him up.
- 50:10Speaker 14: And a good first inning for Slade Ciccone. Boston not
- 50:14Speaker 14: able to dent the scoring column. Cleveland coming to band.
- 50:19Speaker 14: Check engine or ABS light on? Take the guesswork out
- 50:22Speaker 14: of your warning lights with O'Reilly Veriscan.

- 51:56Speaker 29: to keep bettering the world. For every care in the world,
- 52:01Speaker 29: Cleveland Clinic.
- 52:15Speaker 3: We go to the bottom half of inning number one.
- 52:18Speaker 3: Once again, Cleveland sees a relief pitcher start against him.
- 52:21Speaker 3: Of course, left-handed. Travis Bozzana takes, and the pitch is
- 52:25Speaker 3: up and in. Ball one. Boston's taking a page out
- 52:30Speaker 3: of the Washington book, although they've been doing this a bunch.
- 52:33Speaker 3: We'll tell you about it. The left-hander to Bozzana, and
- 52:37Speaker 3: the pitch, a wave job, one and one. His name,
- 52:40Speaker 3: Tyler Samaniedo. And Samaniedo, just up from the minor leagues, 6'4, 219.
- 52:52Speaker 3: The 1-1, a swing and a miss, 1-2 the count.
- 52:56Speaker 3: Pretty good fastball, 94 miles an hour. Samaniedo is the
- 53:05Speaker 3: guy or one of the guys Boston uses out of
- 53:09Speaker 3: the bullpen The 1-2 pitch. Bazana swings and misses. Travis
- 53:16Speaker 3: didn't look like he saw the ball very well. Now,
- 53:19Speaker 3: right now, both the hitter and the pitcher, for the
- 53:23Speaker 3: most part, are in the shadows. But then Sunshine begins
- 53:27Speaker 3: right after the mound out into middle deep center field.
- 53:32Speaker 3: And Travis Bazana just didn't look like he saw the
- 53:35Speaker 3: ball very well at all. Here's Jose Ramirez, switch hitter
- 53:39Speaker 3: batting right-handed. Samanedo's pitch outside a ball. Samanedo is 0-2
- 53:47Speaker 3: but a 1.04 ERA. 18 previous relief appearances. The pitch.
- 53:55Speaker 3: And it's swung and drilled to left. That's a base hit.
- 53:59Speaker 3: Got a hanging breaking ball and Ramirez lashes a single
- 54:02Speaker 3: to left. That'll bring up Chase De Lauder. Samanedo. is
- 54:09Speaker 3: doing this, starting a ball game in front of the
- 54:13Speaker 3: normal starter for the first time in his major league career.
- 54:19Speaker 14: But they've been using left-handed relievers to start in front
- 54:24Speaker 14: of what should have been tonight's starting pitcher, Brian Bale.
- 54:29Speaker 14: Chase DeLauder takes down and away. Bale has been so
- 54:33Speaker 14: bad this year that since they started bringing him out
- 54:37Speaker 14: of the bullpen to pitch the majority of the game,
- 54:40Speaker 14: he's been much better than when he starts the game.
- 54:44Speaker 14: Left on left, one out, one on, no score. The pitch,
- 54:47Speaker 14: broken bat floater towards third. Charged by Durbin, clubs, throws,
- 54:52Speaker 14: not in time. Shattered bat. But it's a base hit bat.
- 55:00Speaker 14: He jammed the heck out of DeLauder, hit a little
- 55:03Speaker 14: floater that landed on the grass between the mound and
- 55:08Speaker 14: the foul line, and charging in at third, Durbin did
- 55:11Speaker 14: all he could, but he was not going to get DeLauder,
- 55:15Speaker 14: who's got an infield hit. So Guardians at first and second,
- 55:20Speaker 14: one out in the first. Here's Reese Hoskins, the DH,
- 55:24Speaker 14: batting 189, five homers, 20 RBIs. One way you can
- 55:29Speaker 14: blow up this plan is get to the relief pitcher
- 55:33Speaker 14: starting the game before the starter comes in. That pitch
- 55:37Speaker 14: up high, ball one. Tyler Samanyedo. Born in Huntsville, Alabama.
- 55:50Speaker 14: Samanedo delivering and it's swung and drilled to left that's
- 55:54Speaker 14: a base hit Ramirez hits third he's coming home the
- 55:58Speaker 14: throw by Duran not nearly in time to the plate
- 56:01Speaker 14: Hosey slides in easily with the first run of the
- 56:05Speaker 14: game So the Guardians with three consecutive base hits off Samanedo.
- 56:12Speaker 14: And RBI single to left by Reese Hoskins. He's knocked
- 56:17Speaker 14: in 21. And Guardians still at first and second. The
- 56:21Speaker 14: Lauder stopping at second. And it's 1-0 Cleveland. And left-handed
- 56:25Speaker 14: batting Kyle Manzardo to the plate. Left on left, the
- 56:31Speaker 14: first baseman digs in. And checks on a pitch down
- 56:36Speaker 14: and away. Manzardo is hitting almost 200 points better against
- 56:43Speaker 14: left-handed pitching than right-handed pitching. Which is strange. The lefties pitch.
- 56:50Speaker 14: And it's swung and lined into right field. A base hit.
- 56:54Speaker 14: That'll load them up.
- 56:56Speaker 3: Everybody had to wait and make sure that ball was
- 56:59Speaker 3: going to be lined over the infield into right. And
- 57:03Speaker 3: four straight Cleveland hits. And oh, do they have a
- 57:07Speaker 3: chance here in inning number one to do big-time damage.
- 57:12Speaker 3: And running out of the first base dugout is the
- 57:14Speaker 3: pitching coach, Andrew Bailey, who's basically the last of the Mohicans.
- 57:20Speaker 3: Pretty much everybody was fired by the head of baseball operations,
- 57:25Speaker 3: Craig Breslow, Alex Cora, and most of his coaching staff
- 57:31Speaker 3: were fired after a 17-1 win. That happened on April 25th.
- 57:41Speaker 3: The Red Sox at the time were 10-17. And it's
- 57:47Speaker 3: almost like a new coaching staff under the interim manager,
- 57:52Speaker 3: Chad Tracy, whom they brought up from AAA Worcester. Martinez
- 57:58Speaker 3: will bat right-handed, switch hitter. The pitch, and he rips
- 58:03Speaker 3: one into right center. That's a base hit. De Lauder scores.
- 58:07Speaker 3: Hoskins stops at third. Now the ball got away.
- 58:11Speaker 14: And on to home comes Hoskins with a hit first dive.
- 58:16Speaker 3: And the Guardians have a 3-0 lead.
- 58:20Speaker 14: Everybody was going up just one base on the RBI
- 58:25Speaker 14: single to right center. But then Raffaello overran the ball.
- 58:30Speaker 14: And the Guardians get an extra run.
- 58:33Speaker 3: And it is now a 3-0 game.
- 58:38Speaker 14: And give Angel Martinez one RBI. And the other run
- 58:43Speaker 14: scoring on the air. First and second for Daniel Sneeman.
- 58:46Speaker 14: Pitch down and away.
- 58:47Speaker 3: Ball one.
- 58:49Speaker 14: And this is how you blow up the strategy of
- 58:53Speaker 14: starting a bullpen arm instead of your normal starter. You
- 58:57Speaker 14: blow up the guy that starts, and Samanyedo has now
- 59:02Speaker 14: given up five straight hits. And Cleveland now leads this
- 59:07Speaker 14: ballgame 3-0, one out, 1-0.
- 59:10Speaker 3: And second. Left on left, Schneeman, the seventh man to bat,
- 59:15Speaker 3: cuts and misses to even the count. And what Cleveland's done,
- 59:21Speaker 3: five straight singles. Daniel Schneeman batting. 244 homers, 19 RBIs.
- 59:30Speaker 3: A look back at second, the pitch, and it's in there.
- 59:35Speaker 3: Jaron Duran in left. Sadon Raffaella in center. Wealdier Abreu
- 59:41Speaker 3: in right. We'll give you the rest of the Red
- 59:45Speaker 3: Sox defense after this 1-2 pitch. Here it comes. And
- 59:49Speaker 3: it's way outside 2-2. Coming from the.
- 59:54Speaker 14: Cardinals, Wilson Contreras at first. Isaiah Kiner-Falefa. has reemerged at second.
- 1:00:01Speaker 14: The youngster, Marcelo Meyer, at short. Caleb Durbin at third.
- 1:00:06Speaker 14: Mickey Gasper, the catcher. The pitch swung on, hit in
- 1:00:09Speaker 14: the air, near the line, and right, dropping for a
- 1:00:12Speaker 14: base hit. Abreu cuts it off. It's another bases loaded scenario. Again,
- 1:00:18Speaker 14: Manzardo and Martinez had to make sure that Abreu couldn't
- 1:00:23Speaker 14: catch that.
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: Ball running toward the line and right.
- 1:00:26Speaker 14: And Daniel Schneeman collects Cleveland's sixth consecutive single. And they're
- 1:00:33Speaker 14: loaded up with one down for Patrick Bailey.
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: The switch hitting catcher batting eighth. He'll swing it right-handed.
- 1:00:42Speaker 3: Infield back, double play depth. The pitch, a swing and
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: a fly ball to fairly deep right.
- 1:00:49Speaker 14: Abreu drifting back near the track makes the catch.
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: Everybody tagging. Throw to second.
- 1:00:55Speaker 5: Tag. Not in time.
- 1:00:57Speaker 14: Manzardo scores. Martinez to third. Schneeman to second. And Cleveland
- 1:01:04Speaker 14: on the sack fly makes it a 4-0 ballgame. Do
- 1:01:09Speaker 14: the Red Sox challenge the safe call at second? They
- 1:01:16Speaker 14: do not. Patrick Bailey with his ninth RBI almost hit
- 1:01:20Speaker 14: that to the warning track and right. An aggressive base
- 1:01:24Speaker 14: running by Cleveland as three runners tagged up. Bailey, nine RBIs.
- 1:01:33Speaker 14: Ninth man to bat, Brian Rocchio batting right-handed. Fouling it
- 1:01:37Speaker 14: off to the left, strike one. Rocchio's Cleveland's best clutch hitter.
- 1:01:44Speaker 14: As Brian Rocchio, with men in scoring position, leads the
- 1:01:49Speaker 14: Cleveland Guardians with a. 350 batting average.
- 1:01:53Speaker 3: 4-0 Cleveland.
- 1:01:56Speaker 14: The pitch swung on, fouled into the lower deck right side.
- 1:02:00Speaker 14: And this near-capacity crowd getting treated early to four runs
- 1:02:06Speaker 14: on six hits, and we're only in the first inning,
- 1:02:09Speaker 14: and Cleveland has not let this opportunity get away.
- 1:02:16Speaker 3: Samagneto is ready. Here it comes.
- 1:02:20Speaker 14: A swing and a miss. Rocio strikes out. Cleveland bats around.
- 1:02:25Speaker 14: Cleveland leads 4-0 after 1. This is the Cleveland Clinic
- 1:02:30Speaker 14: Radio Network. 4-0 Cleveland. Wilson Contreras, the cleanup hitter in
- 1:04:33Speaker 14: first baseman, will lead off the Boston second. Hey, we
- 1:04:37Speaker 14: never even got to the Conrad score four win four
- 1:04:41Speaker 14: new tires contest.
- 1:04:43Speaker 3: Well, Conrad's pony up.

- 1:05:17Speaker 3: Thanks to the good folks at Conrad's and thanks to
- 1:05:20Speaker 3: Cleveland batting around and scoring four in the first inning.
- 1:05:25Speaker 14: All right, communication issues taken care of. Slade Ciccone's pitch.
- 1:05:31Speaker 14: Wilson Contreras takes a curveball strike. He came from the St.
- 1:05:37Speaker 14: Louis Cardinals for three prospects back in December. He's done
- 1:05:42Speaker 14: his part. Holy smokes has he been good. The set
- 1:05:46Speaker 14: and pitch up high. He leads Boston with 11 homers.
- 1:05:52Speaker 14: He leads Boston with 33 RBIs. He leads Boston with
- 1:05:57Speaker 14: an 894 OPS, adding 286. Right-handed slugger. He takes down
- 1:06:04Speaker 14: and in. And a challenge. Was that a challenge by
- 1:06:08Speaker 14: Patrick Bailey?
- 1:06:09Speaker 30: No.
- 1:06:09Speaker 3: Home plate umpire John Tompain thought Bailey challenged him. Then
- 1:06:14Speaker 3: he looked around and said, did you challenge? Bailey said, no.
- 1:06:18Speaker 6: I just scratched my head.
- 1:06:21Speaker 14: The 2-1 pitch. Curveball strike. Rosie, I'm surprised that doesn't
- 1:06:26Speaker 14: happen more often. Guys just inadvertently go to their head
- 1:06:30Speaker 14: or their helmet.
- 1:06:31Speaker 3: I feel like Travis Bazzana has a habit where he
- 1:06:34Speaker 3: does that almost every pitch, but not looking for the
- 1:06:37Speaker 3: ABS challenge. Wilson Contreras. Digs back in. The pitch. Swing
- 1:06:49Speaker 3: and a high fly ball near the line and right.
- 1:06:51Speaker 3: Not deep. De Lauder racing over. Makes the catch just
- 1:06:55Speaker 3: before he went into foul territory. Contreras out number one.
- 1:07:02Speaker 3: That'll bring up Masataka Yoshida. Masataka Yoshida, left-handed hitter, DH,
- 1:07:13Speaker 3: adding 255, a homer, seven RBIs. Boston in trouble early,
- 1:07:18Speaker 3: 4-0 Cleveland, second frame, and it's a strike. Why is
- 1:07:24Speaker 3: Boston in trouble? They have scored the fewest runs in
- 1:07:27Speaker 3: the American League, less than four runs a game. They
- 1:07:32Speaker 3: have hit the fewest home runs in the American League.
- 1:07:36Speaker 14: Yoshida takes a curve down and in to even the count.
- 1:07:40Speaker 14: They've walked the second fewest times in the American League.
- 1:07:45Speaker 14: Red Sox 11th in the league in OPS. And they
- 1:07:49Speaker 14: play at Fenway. Now the 1-1 pitch. Swung on a
- 1:07:56Speaker 14: little bloop job into center. Coming hard. Diving catch by Schneeman.
- 1:08:03Speaker 14: Oh my, Daniel Schneeman. A gold glove caliber defensive player
- 1:08:11Speaker 14: wherever you play him. A half dive, a half knee slide,
- 1:08:17Speaker 14: and he made a terrific catch.
- 1:08:20Speaker 3: Yoshida out number two. That'll bring up Mickey Gasperi. Began
- 1:08:26Speaker 3: the year in the minors. Switch hitter batting left-handed. 4-0 Cleveland.
- 1:08:32Speaker 3: Waves at a sinker. Batting. 326, couple of RBIs. Boston's
- 1:08:38Speaker 3: banged up, but it seems like everybody we talk about
- 1:08:42Speaker 3: nowadays has a number of key guys on the injured list.
- 1:08:46Speaker 14: The 0-1, fouled it off third base side. Their ace,
- 1:08:51Speaker 14: Garrett Crochet, who would have won a Cy Young most years,
- 1:08:56Speaker 14: except for Tarek Scouble last year. He's been out with
- 1:09:00Speaker 14: a shoulder issue. Reliever Garrett Whitlock just went on the
- 1:09:04Speaker 14: injured list. And Roman Anthony and Trevor Story, two key
- 1:09:08Speaker 14: position players. They're both hurt. So Boston has had to
- 1:09:13Speaker 14: go to the minors for people like Gasper.
- 1:09:17Speaker 3: Time called. We have a balloon floating onto the field
- 1:09:26Speaker 3: in right center field. Just one of those little star
- 1:09:30Speaker 3: balloons that the kids get at a birthday party.
- 1:09:34Speaker 14: Hey, whenever the Guardians win, your Northeast Ohio Ford dealers
- 1:09:38Speaker 14: donate $ 500 to Cleveland Guardians Charities supporting expanded access.
- 1:09:43Speaker 3: To youth sports in Cleveland. 4-0 Cleveland. Red Sox batting
- 1:09:53Speaker 3: in the second. Two outs. Base is empty. The pitch
- 1:09:59Speaker 3: to Gasper. And it misses. Ball one. 1-2 to come.
- 1:10:08Speaker 3: 4-10 tomorrow. 1-40 on Sunday. Then on to the Big
- 1:10:12Speaker 3: Apple for Cleveland.
- 1:10:14Speaker 6: Now the 1-2.
- 1:10:16Speaker 3: Swung on, this is hit pretty well to right. De
- 1:10:19Speaker 3: Lauder back, De Lauder jumps, made the catch, dropped the
- 1:10:23Speaker 3: ball as he got near the wall in right center,
- 1:10:26Speaker 3: and a double for Gasper. Good effort by De Lauder,
- 1:10:30Speaker 3: racing back and angling toward the wall in right center.
- 1:10:35Speaker 3: Middle of the track, he leaped on the run, got
- 1:10:38Speaker 3: a glove on it, but he just couldn't quite corral it.
- 1:10:42Speaker 3: Heck of an effort by De Lauder. And Gasper with
- 1:10:45Speaker 3: his third double since coming up. So he's at second.
- 1:10:50Speaker 3: Two down, second inning. 4-0 Cleveland.
- 1:10:53Speaker 14: Here's Isaiah Kiner-Falefa. Every time we see him, he's with
- 1:10:58Speaker 14: a new team. Right into batter at second. Swings, hits
- 1:11:02Speaker 14: a ground ball to short. Off the glove of Rocchio
- 1:11:05Speaker 14: into left. Gasper trying to score. Martinez thrown to the plate.
- 1:11:09Speaker 5: Got him!
- 1:11:10Speaker 3: A dead tuna was Gasper! On a throw to the plate!
- 1:11:15Speaker 3: On the fly by Angel Martinez!
- 1:11:21Speaker 14: An error on Rocchio and talking about picking up a teammate.
- 1:11:26Speaker 14: Martinez gunned down Gasper at home plate with a throw
- 1:11:32Speaker 14: on the fly.
- 1:11:33Speaker 3: 4-0 Cleveland. Middle of inning number two.

- 1:13:21Speaker 19: Restrictions apply.
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: Apply.
- 1:13:33Speaker 14: Brian Baio, the normal starter, coming out of the bullpen
- 1:13:36Speaker 14: for the second inning.
- 1:13:38Speaker 3: 4-0 Cleveland. Top of the order. Bazana tried to bunt. Missed.
- 1:13:41Speaker 3: Strike one. Bazana struck out last inning. Then after his strikeout,
- 1:13:48Speaker 3: Cleveland had six consecutive hits and a sack fly. All
- 1:13:53Speaker 3: six hits were singles. 4-0 Guardians. Baio's pitch... And it's
- 1:14:00Speaker 3: down low. Bale has great stuff, but he sure isn't
- 1:14:04Speaker 3: pitching like.
- 1:14:06Speaker 5: It.
- 1:14:07Speaker 3: 6'1, 185. Bale, now 27 years of age, having a tough,
- 1:14:13Speaker 3: tough year.
- 1:14:14Speaker 14: The 1-1 pitch. Swung on, line drive, base hit into
- 1:14:19Speaker 14: the gap and left center. Raffaele cuts it off. And
- 1:14:23Speaker 14: Bazana shot one the other way. Travis Bazzana, since becoming
- 1:14:28Speaker 14: the leadoff hitter, now hitting close to 430. That'll bring
- 1:14:34Speaker 14: up Jose Ramirez. He'll bat left-handed. Tyler Samanedo went one inning,
- 1:14:40Speaker 14: gave up four runs on six hits, had a pair
- 1:14:43Speaker 14: of strikeouts as starting the relief pitcher in front of
- 1:14:47Speaker 14: the starter blew up on the Red Sox here tonight.
- 1:14:51Speaker 14: Ramirez batting right-handed, singled last inning. He takes high and wide.
- 1:14:57Speaker 3: Ball one.
- 1:14:58Speaker 14: Bale is the guy that throws mid to upper 90s.
- 1:15:02Speaker 14: He's got the fastball, the sinker, the slider, the changeup. Really,
- 1:15:08Speaker 14: really scuffling. The set. And the pitch. Down low.
- 1:15:15Speaker 3: On the year, Brian Bale, 2-5, a 6-43 ERA in
- 1:15:19Speaker 3: 10 games. He's given up 10 home runs in 10 games.
- 1:15:28Speaker 3: Teams batting. 324 against him. The pitch hit on a
- 1:15:34Speaker 3: line to right. Abreu there to grab it. Another ball
- 1:15:38Speaker 3: that was scorched off the bat of Ramirez. One down.
- 1:15:41Speaker 14: Here's Chase DeLauder. Infield single last inning. The thing about Bale,
- 1:15:50Speaker 14: since they went to this Start a reliever, bring him
- 1:15:56Speaker 14: out in the second inning from the bullpen. He's been
- 1:15:59Speaker 14: much better. But that only works if the guy pitching
- 1:16:04Speaker 14: the first inning gets through it unscathed or maybe gives
- 1:16:09Speaker 14: up one run, not four. Bayo's pitch before it's made,
- 1:16:17Speaker 14: throw to first, back is Bozzano. When Baio strictly started
- 1:16:22Speaker 14: those seven games, earned run average, 9.68. The last three
- 1:16:30Speaker 14: times he's come out of the bullpen in the second inning,
- 1:16:33Speaker 14: earned run average, 0.98. The pitch, runner goes, pitch inside,
- 1:16:40Speaker 14: throw to second, standing with a steal as Pazana. That's unusual.
- 1:16:47Speaker 14: Travis Bozzano went in standing. But he got the job done.
- 1:16:53Speaker 14: Steal number eight. So a runner in scoring position. One out,
- 1:17:02Speaker 14: 4-0 Cleveland here in the second. Red Sox saying for
- 1:17:10Speaker 14: Bayo it's more of a mental thing than anything.
- 1:17:13Speaker 3: Just They're just desperate to try anything. If he isn't
- 1:17:17Speaker 3: going to be a good starter, Boston has no chance.
- 1:17:20Speaker 3: The pitch, down and in, 2-0. They have to have
- 1:17:25Speaker 3: Bale being in front of the rotation guy. Good Lord,
- 1:17:30Speaker 3: they gave him a six-year contract for $ 55 million. The pitch,
- 1:17:40Speaker 3: swung on a high chopper to first, grabbed by Contreras.
- 1:17:43Speaker 3: Underhand flip to Bale. To third is Bozzano, but now
- 1:17:48Speaker 3: two men out for Reese Hoskins. And an RBI single
- 1:17:51Speaker 3: last inning. Brian Bale has given up the third most
- 1:17:59Speaker 3: runs in the American League. And on the road, his
- 1:18:04Speaker 3: earned run average is eight. 4-0 Cleveland. Runner at third.
- 1:18:12Speaker 3: Two down. Second inning. The pitch to Hoskins. Inside. Ball one.
- 1:18:19Speaker 14: Sinking fastball. He's got a live arm. The set and delivery.
- 1:18:35Speaker 14: And he went breaking ball.
- 1:18:37Speaker 3: It's in there.
- 1:18:37Speaker 14: A called strike. Bale, last year 11-9, ERA 335. Gets
- 1:18:50Speaker 14: a lot of ground balls with that mid-to-upper 90s sinker.
- 1:18:54Speaker 3: The 1-1. Swung on a chopper to third. Durbin gloves,
- 1:18:58Speaker 3: throws across the diamond. And Bale with a scoreless second inning.
- 1:19:03Speaker 6: 4-0 Cleveland.
- 1:19:04Speaker 3: Third is next on the Cleveland Clinic Radio Network. Slade
- 1:21:12Speaker 3: Ciccone with a 4-0 lead.
- 1:21:14Speaker 14: Marcelo Meyer. Now the shortstop with the injury to Trevor Story.
- 1:21:19Speaker 14: Left-handed hitter takes down an in-ball one.
- 1:21:23Speaker 3: Meyer, 2-18 mark. Two homers, 12 RBIs. Ciccone's pitch, and
- 1:21:29Speaker 3: it just missed in. Ball two, 2-0. Meyer, a part
- 1:21:34Speaker 3: of that young kiddie court that they have been so
- 1:21:38Speaker 3: high on, but Roman Anthony now hurt. Here is the
- 1:21:42Speaker 3: 2-0 pitch. Down and in, 3-0. The other kid they
- 1:21:48Speaker 3: gave a lot of money to, the youngster Campbell, he
- 1:21:51Speaker 3: isn't even here with the ball club. They've got Christian
- 1:21:54Speaker 3: Campbell back in the minor leagues. And he's a guy
- 1:22:00Speaker 3: they gave an eight-year, $ 60 million contract to. That pitch
- 1:22:04Speaker 3: is a strike. There aren't many kids in Worcester, Massachusetts
- 1:22:09Speaker 3: making that kind of money. No, sir. and they just
- 1:22:12Speaker 3: don't seem to have enough veterans to help bring these
- 1:22:15Speaker 3: young guys along yet. The 3-1, swinging a little tapper
- 1:22:19Speaker 3: out in front of the plate. Bailey barehand grab and throw,
- 1:22:22Speaker 3: and he gets the Speedy Meyer. Well, when you talk
- 1:22:25Speaker 3: to Red Sox people, they'll tell you losing Alex Bregman
- 1:22:30Speaker 3: to free agency to the Cubs was a guy they
- 1:22:33Speaker 3: could not afford to lose, not only for his bat
- 1:22:37Speaker 3: in defense... But his leadership in the clubhouse has not
- 1:22:42Speaker 3: been replaced. Here's Caleb Durbin. Got him from Milwaukee. And boy,
- 1:22:48Speaker 3: has he struggled in Boston. Number nine hitter. Third baseman
- 1:22:52Speaker 3: takes high. Not many third basemen in the major leagues
- 1:22:57Speaker 3: that stand 5'7. That's a power spot on the diamond.
- 1:23:03Speaker 3: But Durbin there. The pitch to him, and it's in there.
- 1:23:08Speaker 3: Now he was really good last year. In fact, with
- 1:23:12Speaker 3: Milwaukee last year, he was third in the National League
- 1:23:16Speaker 3: Rookie of the Year vote.
- 1:23:19Speaker 14: But the Brewers traded him. The 1-1 pitch. Check swing
- 1:23:24Speaker 14: went around. How about the guy that Milwaukee got? One
- 1:23:29Speaker 14: of them was one of their best pitchers, Harrison, right now.
- 1:23:33Speaker 14: So if Milwaukee calls to make a trade... You might
- 1:23:36Speaker 14: be better off hanging up. Now the 1-2 delivery. And
- 1:23:41Speaker 14: he chased one in the other batter's box. Durbin strikes out.
- 1:23:46Speaker 14: Two strikeouts for Ciccone, who looks sharp here tonight. Two
- 1:23:50Speaker 14: down in the Boston third. Cleveland up 4-0. Rosie, when
- 1:23:55Speaker 14: you talk to the Boston people, you get a sense...
- 1:24:00Speaker 14: That they're not coming out of this. This isn't a
- 1:24:02Speaker 14: slow start. This is not a very good team. Well,
- 1:24:05Speaker 14: they don't have thumpers. And when you think of.
- 1:24:07Speaker 3: The Red Sox over the years, multiple strong power bats.
- 1:24:12Speaker 3: Top of the order, Duran taking backdoor strike. Well, think,
- 1:24:16Speaker 3: they play at Fenway. They have no home run power.
- 1:24:22Speaker 3: And guess what? They're 10 games under at home. The pitch, high,
- 1:24:28Speaker 3: one and one. They are the worst team in baseball
- 1:24:31Speaker 3: at home. If you don't hit home runs or hit
- 1:24:35Speaker 3: for power, you can't survive at Fenway Park. Not for
- 1:24:39Speaker 3: 81 games. 4-0 Cleveland, third inning, the pitch.
- 1:24:45Speaker 14: A swing and a miss. Durant tried to hit one
- 1:24:47Speaker 14: to Fenway. One ball, two strikes.
- 1:24:50Speaker 3: You have that green monster looming, but if you can't
- 1:24:53Speaker 3: take advantage of that, Even left-handed hitters have to take
- 1:24:57Speaker 3: advantage of that, and they just don't have that in
- 1:24:59Speaker 3: their DNA the way the roster is constructed right now.
- 1:25:02Speaker 14: Last in the American League in runs, last in homers,
- 1:25:07Speaker 14: 14th or second last in walks. The pitch, swing, and
- 1:25:11Speaker 14: a pop foul back and out of play. Well, the
- 1:25:14Speaker 14: Guardians and Red Sox tomorrow at 4-10.
- 1:25:17Speaker 3: You folks will get an Austin Hedges replica jersey. Get
- 1:25:22Speaker 3: your tickets at CLEGuardians.com. Huge crowd here tonight. Now the
- 1:25:28Speaker 3: 1-2 delivery. A little bit low, 2-2. Well, now 2-0.
- 1:25:36Speaker 3: Cleveland has to take advantage of the schedule. This is
- 1:25:39Speaker 3: a team that's reeling. You've got to put your foot
- 1:25:44Speaker 3: down on them. The pitch, swing and a foul upstairs, 2-2.
- 1:25:48Speaker 3: They still have a lot of talent on this team,
- 1:25:52Speaker 3: but they're not playing with a whole lot of energy
- 1:25:57Speaker 3: right now. Most of their rotation has been pretty effective.
- 1:26:01Speaker 3: Guardians so taking advantage of a bullpen game tonight. Now
- 1:26:04Speaker 3: the 2-2 delivery. Got him swinging.
- 1:26:08Speaker 14: Good cutter and Slade Ciccone looks as good tonight as
- 1:26:12Speaker 14: he has all year. It's a 4-0 Cleveland late middle
- 1:26:16Speaker 14: of inning number three.
- 1:26:19Speaker 33: Our yoga instructor challenged us to find inner peace. I
- 1:26:22Speaker 33: found it faster than anyone. After four seconds, I stood
- 1:26:25Speaker 33: up and screamed, I found Nirvana!

- 1:28:30Speaker 14: Cleveland with four in the first on six consecutive singles
- 1:28:34Speaker 14: and a sack fly. The pitch And a swing and
- 1:28:39Speaker 14: a miss.
- 1:28:41Speaker 3: Visit HyundaiGrandSlam.com, your chance to enter for a chance to
- 1:28:46Speaker 3: win that Hyundai Kona from your Northern Ohio Hyundai dealers.
- 1:28:52Speaker 3: Bio's second inning of work. He delivers. And it's a
- 1:28:56Speaker 3: little wide. Ball two, two and one. Manzardo. At one
- 1:29:00Speaker 3: of those six singles, in inning number one off, the
- 1:29:04Speaker 3: reliever and starter, Tyler Samanedo. Now the 2-1. Got a
- 1:29:15Speaker 3: swing and a miss out of him. Good changeup, 2-2.
- 1:29:18Speaker 3: Bio has great stuff.
- 1:29:20Speaker 34: 20-24, 14-8.
- 1:29:20Speaker 5: Last year, 11-9.
- 1:29:28Speaker 3: And he has just plummeted here in 20-26. The set,
- 1:29:34Speaker 3: the pitch. A swing and a foul upstairs. We'll do
- 1:29:38Speaker 3: it again at 2-2. Cleveland getting what seems to be
- 1:29:44Speaker 3: a rare off day yesterday. Down the 2-2.
- 1:29:56Speaker 14: And it's swung on, ripped up the middle, base hit.
- 1:29:59Speaker 14: Got a fastball and Manzardo smoked it. And he's aboard
- 1:30:04Speaker 14: to start the inning.
- 1:30:08Speaker 6: Boy, what is.
- 1:30:09Speaker 3: Hard to believe on Brian Bale.
- 1:30:12Speaker 14: Rosie on his four-seam fastball, which Manzardo just hit.
- 1:30:18Speaker 3: Teams are hitting 667. Off his sinker, batting. 330. Off
- 1:30:25Speaker 3: his cut fastball,.
- 1:30:27Speaker 34: 394.
- 1:30:27Speaker 3: The only pitches he's getting people out on are the
- 1:30:32Speaker 3: breaking ball and the changeup. Here's Anel Martinez. Sends one
- 1:30:38Speaker 3: in the air toward the gap and left center.
- 1:30:40Speaker 14: On the run, Raffaella. He just cruises over to grab it.
- 1:30:44Speaker 14: He is so smooth out there. Center fielder went a
- 1:30:48Speaker 14: pretty good distance to left center. To get Martinez who
- 1:30:52Speaker 14: had an RBI single his first time up.
- 1:30:55Speaker 3: Then threw a runner out at the plate. Here's Daniel Schneeman.
- 1:30:59Speaker 3: He had a single in that four run first. 4-0 Cleveland.
- 1:31:04Speaker 14: Third inning. Cleveland already has out hit Boston 8-2. Baio's pitch.
- 1:31:12Speaker 14: Swing and a miss. Good slider down and in. Strike one.
- 1:31:17Speaker 3: I think the surprising number is the sinker because he... Boy,
- 1:31:19Speaker 3: in the past we've seen him be a ground ball
- 1:31:21Speaker 3: machine when that's working well, but obviously leaving that pitch
- 1:31:25Speaker 3: up far more often than he'd like. Now the 0-1
- 1:31:28Speaker 3: pitch to Schneeman. And he bangs one up the middle
- 1:31:34Speaker 3: near second. Gloved by Myers. Steps on the bag. Throws
- 1:31:37Speaker 3: Schneeman out. And that double play takes care of Cleveland
- 1:31:41Speaker 3: in the third. It stays 4-0 Guardians. The fourth is next.
- 1:33:43Speaker 3: Guardians up 4-0 as Slade Ciccone goes back to work.
- 1:33:47Speaker 3: Top half of the fourth. Cedon Raffaella leads it off
- 1:33:50Speaker 3: and he swings and powers the first pitch. High in
- 1:33:53Speaker 3: the air to right center. Cruising after it, Daniel Schneeman.
- 1:33:57Speaker 3: And it's Schneeman who makes the catch right in front
- 1:34:01Speaker 3: of Chase DeLauder. Let's pause. 10 seconds station ID. Cleveland
- 1:34:05Speaker 3: Clinic Radio Network. Jim Rosenhouse along with Tom Hamilton back
- 1:34:21Speaker 3: with you at Progressive Field downtown Cleveland. WDR Abreu steps in,
- 1:34:27Speaker 3: takes a pitch outside from Slade Ciccone for a ball.
- 1:34:31Speaker 3: Brian Motze up the street at command center. A great
- 1:34:34Speaker 3: baseball night downtown. Man, one of the best this season.
- 1:34:38Speaker 3: Clear skies, 70 degrees, light breeze. The pitch on the
- 1:34:43Speaker 3: outside corner for a strike. And it's 1-1 to Abreu
- 1:34:47Speaker 3: who struck out his first time up Ciccone's been sharp
- 1:34:51Speaker 3: and he's had good defense behind him. Here's the 1-1.
- 1:34:57Speaker 3: Swing and a foul tip. And the count moves to 1-2.
- 1:35:01Speaker 3: Already a runner thrown out at the plate. There's been
- 1:35:06Speaker 3: a double play on the infield. And Ciccone with three
- 1:35:11Speaker 3: strikeouts thus far. He's allowed just the two hits through
- 1:35:17Speaker 3: three and a third. Here's the 1-2. Swung on and
- 1:35:21Speaker 3: there's a high fly ball to center. Late start for Schneeman.
- 1:35:24Speaker 3: Fading back. Turned a couple of ways and hauls it in.
- 1:35:28Speaker 3: Just shy of the warning track. Sometimes the ones hit
- 1:35:34Speaker 3: directly at a center fielder can be a challenge. But
- 1:35:38Speaker 3: Schneeman able to make the play easily. Now it's Wilson
- 1:35:42Speaker 3: Contreras and this is where you want to see him
- 1:35:44Speaker 3: come to the plate. With two outs and the base
- 1:35:47Speaker 3: is empty. He is the big power threat for the
- 1:35:51Speaker 3: Red Sox. And again, years past and down through the years,
- 1:35:55Speaker 3: they've had way more than one as there's a swing
- 1:35:57Speaker 3: and a line drive to left, a base hit for
- 1:36:00Speaker 3: Wilson Contreras, who's now one for two. The Red Sox,
- 1:36:06Speaker 3: synonymous with power. And really, when they traded Rafael Devers
- 1:36:12Speaker 3: last summer and did not sign Alex Bregman, It was
- 1:36:19Speaker 3: thin to begin with and became even more so. They
- 1:36:21Speaker 3: did acquire Contreras in the offseason. So that's helped, but
- 1:36:28Speaker 3: just not enough around him from the power perspective. Masataka
- 1:36:32Speaker 3: Yoshida steps in, takes a breaking ball down low. A
- 1:36:36Speaker 3: fly to center his first time up. 4-0, Guardians in front.
- 1:36:40Speaker 3: The 1-0. Swung on, looped foul and out of play
- 1:36:43Speaker 3: to even the count. Just a couple of days left
- 1:36:46Speaker 3: to upload your KeyBank credit or debit card to your
- 1:36:49Speaker 3: card's wallet within the MLB Ballpark app to receive $ 5
- 1:36:53Speaker 3: of loaded value to spend on food, beverages, and merchandise
- 1:36:57Speaker 3: right here at the ballpark, courtesy of KeyBank. And tomorrow
- 1:37:01Speaker 3: afternoon and Sunday afternoon, the last two days, you can
- 1:37:04Speaker 3: do that. Here's the 1-1. Swung on, fouled back. And
- 1:37:08Speaker 3: the count's now 1-2 on Yoshida. Left-handed hitting D.H., signed
- 1:37:17Speaker 3: a five-year high-dollar contract coming over from Japan and has
- 1:37:23Speaker 3: not lived up to those expectations as he swings and
- 1:37:26Speaker 3: lifts one high in the air to left center. Long
- 1:37:29Speaker 3: run for Martinez, and he makes the catch just as
- 1:37:32Speaker 3: he got to the warning track to retire Yoshida and
- 1:37:36Speaker 3: the Red Sox in the fourth. We head to the
- 1:37:38Speaker 3: bottom of the inning, 4-0 Cleveland in front.

- 1:39:39Speaker 3: Patrick Bailey leads things off for the Guardians, bottom of
- 1:39:42Speaker 3: the fourth, and he swings and drives one to right
- 1:39:44Speaker 3: center field, a base hit, maybe more, and that one
- 1:39:47Speaker 3: rolls to the wall. Bailey's on his way to second.
- 1:39:50Speaker 3: He'll be in with a stand-up double. Patrick Bailey with
- 1:39:57Speaker 3: his second double as a Guardian. He drove in his
- 1:40:00Speaker 3: fourth run with Cleveland. His first time up with a
- 1:40:04Speaker 3: sack fly, part of that four-run uprising in the first inning.
- 1:40:08Speaker 3: That has the Guardians in front by a 4-0 score.
- 1:40:13Speaker 3: And for the third straight inning, the Guardians have that
- 1:40:18Speaker 3: leadoff hitter reach. The only inning that didn't happen was
- 1:40:21Speaker 3: the inning they scored the four runs back in the first.
- 1:40:25Speaker 3: Now Brian Rocchio steps in, pitch to him. Low and
- 1:40:30Speaker 3: outside for ball one. The sinker at 97 from Bale.
- 1:40:35Speaker 3: He has a great arm. For whatever reason, getting hit
- 1:40:40Speaker 3: a lot harder this season than in years past. The
- 1:40:45Speaker 3: right-hander out of Curacao delivers, and it's down low for
- 1:40:48Speaker 3: a ball. Rocchio struck out to end the first inning.
- 1:40:55Speaker 3: Switch hitter left side. Guardians with that four-run lead. They
- 1:41:01Speaker 3: love to tack on, and it's always fun to score first,
- 1:41:05Speaker 3: and then you hear that scoring next is a good idea, too.
- 1:41:09Speaker 3: Try and separate a little bit. The 2-0 swung on.
- 1:41:13Speaker 3: Ground ball to the second baseman. Up with it. Kiner
- 1:41:16Speaker 3: Falefa flips on the first for the out, but a
- 1:41:18Speaker 3: good out. Productive-wise for Brian Rocchio as he advances the
- 1:41:22Speaker 3: runner to third with less than two down. Top of
- 1:41:29Speaker 3: the lineup, Travis Pazana steps in. One for two with
- 1:41:34Speaker 3: a single and a stolen base. Last time up in
- 1:41:37Speaker 3: the second inning. Infield in for the Sox. Here's the pitch.
- 1:41:47Speaker 3: Swing and a miss, strike one. Don't forget now through
- 1:41:51Speaker 3: August the 6th, visit guardiansf150sweeps. com And you can enter for
- 1:41:58Speaker 3: a chance to win a special Guardians Edition 2026 F-150
- 1:42:03Speaker 3: Raptor truck. Here's the 0-1. Fastball strike on the outside corner. And,
- 1:42:09Speaker 3: of course, that is courtesy of your Northeast Ohio Ford dealers.
- 1:42:14Speaker 3: We're in the bottom of the fourth. It is 4-0. Guardians.
- 1:42:23Speaker 3: The 0-2 to Bazzano. Outside and high for a ball.
- 1:42:27Speaker 3: Off speed that time. 89 mile an hour change up.
- 1:42:33Speaker 3: Which seems hard to do, but that is off speed
- 1:42:38Speaker 3: for Baio. That's how good his arm is. Right hander
- 1:42:44Speaker 3: from the stretch. Here it is. Breaking ball down low.
- 1:42:48Speaker 3: Did he check it? Yes, he did. Rosanna battling Gets
- 1:42:54Speaker 3: the count back to 2-2. What a stretch it has been.
- 1:43:01Speaker 3: The first month plus now in the big leagues for
- 1:43:03Speaker 3: Travis Bazzana. The 2-2. Swing and a miss. Strike three.
- 1:43:10Speaker 3: So Bazzana down on strikes for the second time tonight.
- 1:43:14Speaker 3: Two down in the inning. Here's Jose Ramirez. One for
- 1:43:21Speaker 3: two with a first inning single and a run scored.
- 1:43:25Speaker 3: And the Guardians put four on the board. And now
- 1:43:31Speaker 3: looking for more here in the fourth inning with a
- 1:43:33Speaker 3: runner at third and two down. The pitch to Hosey.
- 1:43:38Speaker 3: Swung on and ripped to right deep. Back goes Abreu
- 1:43:42Speaker 3: and he makes the catch. A screamer off the bat
- 1:43:45Speaker 3: of Ramirez. But Abreu able to fade back and haul
- 1:43:48Speaker 3: it in for out number three. Guardians come up empty
- 1:43:52Speaker 3: in the fourth. We'll head to the fifth. Cleveland four,
- 1:43:55Speaker 3: Boston nothing. Well, we head to the fifth inning and
- 1:45:57Speaker 3: Mickey Gaspar leads things off for the Red Sox. He
- 1:46:00Speaker 3: doubled his first time up. Gasper, who had been with
- 1:46:06Speaker 3: the Twins a year ago. Now with the Red Sox,
- 1:46:09Speaker 3: here's the 0-1. Breaking ball down low and it counts 1-1.
- 1:46:18Speaker 3: Gasper gets the start behind the plate tonight. Switch hitter
- 1:46:21Speaker 3: left side. Slade Ciccone looking good tonight, and he'll have
- 1:46:27Speaker 3: to wait as time was called by Gasper. Boy, what
- 1:46:33Speaker 3: a night. Big crowd. If it's not a sellout, it'll
- 1:46:37Speaker 3: be close. Here comes the 1-1 from Ciccone. Breaking ball
- 1:46:45Speaker 3: down low, 2-1. And don't forget tomorrow, a 4-10 start.
- 1:46:51Speaker 3: Get here early to get your Austin Hedges replica jersey.
- 1:46:59Speaker 3: Now the 2-1 pitch. On the outside corner for a strike.
- 1:47:03Speaker 5: 2-2.
- 1:47:05Speaker 3: A nice effort here tonight from Ciccone so far. Got
- 1:47:14Speaker 3: the game through five last Saturday night in Philly. The 2-2,
- 1:47:19Speaker 3: swung on, line foul, and out of play. And we'll
- 1:47:22Speaker 3: do it again on 2-2. And he kept the Guardians
- 1:47:27Speaker 3: in that game on Saturday at Philadelphia. That was at
- 1:47:30Speaker 3: night where it never did stop raining.
- 1:47:33Speaker 6: It's cold.
- 1:47:35Speaker 3: Felt like early April. Here's the 2-2. Swung on, ground ball,
- 1:47:40Speaker 3: right side, base hit into right field for Gaspard. So
- 1:47:46Speaker 3: a leadoff single for the Red Sox here in the fifth,
- 1:47:48Speaker 3: and that'll bring up Isaiah Keiner-Falefa. Falefa reached on an
- 1:47:56Speaker 3: error back in the second inning, but on that same play,
- 1:48:00Speaker 3: Gasper tried to score from second and was thrown out
- 1:48:04Speaker 3: at the plate on a tremendous throw from Angel Martinez
- 1:48:09Speaker 3: playing left field tonight. Here's the pitch, and it's down
- 1:48:12Speaker 3: low for a ball. And that's the area that was
- 1:48:18Speaker 3: such a huge key, a year ago. Defense for the
- 1:48:22Speaker 3: Guardians and it has really come to the forefront again.
- 1:48:25Speaker 3: Here's the 1-0. Swung on, foul tipped.
- 1:48:29Speaker 35: 1-1.
- 1:48:29Speaker 3: And they're doing it with players in different spots from
- 1:48:35Speaker 3: a year ago. But in the outfield, Daniel Schneemann's been
- 1:48:39Speaker 3: terrific in center when he's been called upon there. Martinez
- 1:48:45Speaker 3: playing solid outfield, whether it's left or right. Here's the 1-1.
- 1:48:49Speaker 3: Breaking ball low and away.
- 1:48:51Speaker 34: 2-1 the count.
- 1:49:02Speaker 3: Ciccone from the stretch. Here's his pitch. Swung on. Ground
- 1:49:06Speaker 3: ball left side on through. A base hit. And it's
- 1:49:09Speaker 3: back-to-back singles now to open the fifth inning for the
- 1:49:13Speaker 3: Red Sox. Gasper and Kiner Falefa. And Marcelo Mayer will
- 1:49:18Speaker 3: step in. That's five hits now for Boston.
- 1:49:28Speaker 20: Mayer.
- 1:49:28Speaker 34: Hit up.
- 1:49:33Speaker 3: It's a little bleeder out in front of home plate.
- 1:49:35Speaker 3: His first time up and was thrown out by Bailey.
- 1:49:39Speaker 3: Guardian set it up at double play depth on the infield.
- 1:49:41Speaker 3: Here's the pitch. And it's on the outside corner. Strike one. Mayer.
- 1:49:50Speaker 3: Former first round draft pick. Fourth overall back in 2021.
- 1:49:57Speaker 3: Here's the 0-1. Swing and a miss. And it's 0-2
- 1:50:05Speaker 3: He was a high school drafted player out of Eastlake
- 1:50:08Speaker 3: High School in Southern California. Here's the 0-2. Swung on,
- 1:50:17Speaker 3: ground ball near the middle. Under the diving attempt of
- 1:50:20Speaker 3: Bazana into center it rolls. Gasper will score. On his
- 1:50:24Speaker 3: way to third is Kiner Falefa. And the Red Sox
- 1:50:29Speaker 3: have strung together three consecutive singles to get on the scoreboard.
- 1:50:34Speaker 3: It's now the Guardians 4 and Boston 1. Page out
- 1:50:39Speaker 3: of the Guardians book from the first inning when they
- 1:50:43Speaker 3: had six consecutive singles. And here comes Carl Willis out
- 1:50:48Speaker 3: to the mound to have a chat with Ciccone. And
- 1:50:52Speaker 3: a 4-1 ball game. Cleveland in front. This message from
- 1:50:56Speaker 3: our friends at Cleveland Clinic. Taking care of yourself is
- 1:51:00Speaker 3: the real victory. Schedule your mammogram with Ohio's leader in
- 1:51:04Speaker 3: breast health. Find a convenient location near you by visiting
- 1:51:08Speaker 3: ClevelandClinic.org slash mammogram. And just like that, the Guardians get
- 1:51:17Speaker 3: some action going in their pen. Colin Holderman, hard throwing right,
- 1:51:25Speaker 3: he starts to loosen. And Ciccone has run into some
- 1:51:30Speaker 3: trouble here in the fifth inning. So first and third
- 1:51:35Speaker 3: for Caleb Durbin. Durbin, the number nine hitter. Here's the pitch.
- 1:51:44Speaker 3: And he swings and lines it down the right field line.
- 1:51:47Speaker 3: Fair ball. This one's going to trickle into the corner.
- 1:51:50Speaker 3: One run is in. Headed for third. Holding there is Mayer.
- 1:51:57Speaker 3: And Durbin is into second with an RBI double. And
- 1:52:00Speaker 3: now it's A 4-2 ball game and the Red Sox
- 1:52:05Speaker 3: have the potential tying runs in scoring position. So a
- 1:52:12Speaker 3: dramatic turn of events here in the fifth inning as
- 1:52:15Speaker 3: Jaron Duran will step to the plate. Top of the
- 1:52:23Speaker 3: order now. The challenge for Ciccone. Duran one for two
- 1:52:28Speaker 3: with a single to open tonight's game. Here's the pitch.
- 1:52:36Speaker 3: And it's outside for ball one. Durbin now at 10
- 1:52:42Speaker 3: doubles and 18 runs driven in. And for that RBI double.
- 1:52:51Speaker 3: Here's the 1-0. And Durant swings and skies it to center.
- 1:52:55Speaker 3: Plenty deep enough to score another run. Schneeman makes the catch. Tagging.
- 1:53:00Speaker 3: Heading for home and scoring is Meyer. And Excuse me,
- 1:53:05Speaker 3: Marcelo Mayer crosses home plate on the sack fly, and
- 1:53:09Speaker 3: it's all of a sudden a one-run game. 4-3 Cleveland.
- 1:53:16Speaker 3: RBI number 29 for Duran. And really, this month he
- 1:53:22Speaker 3: has been much more the Jaron Duran that they've become
- 1:53:26Speaker 3: accustomed to, and that's going to be it for Slade
- 1:53:29Speaker 3: Ciccone with one out. In the top half of the
- 1:53:33Speaker 3: fifth inning and three runs in, here comes manager Stephen Vogt.
- 1:53:37Speaker 3: He wants to make the move right here. So the
- 1:53:40Speaker 3: night comes to an end for Ciccone, who was so
- 1:53:43Speaker 3: sharp through four, but cannot make it out of the fifth.

- 1:55:47Speaker 3: New pitcher for the Guardians, it's Colin Holderman. With the
- 1:55:51Speaker 3: tying run at second base, Guardians leading 4-3. Three runs
- 1:55:55Speaker 3: in in the inning for Boston. And Holderman comes on
- 1:55:59Speaker 3: to try and keep it a one-run ball game in
- 1:56:02Speaker 3: favor of Cleveland. Facing Sadon Raffaella, who grounds one toward
- 1:56:06Speaker 3: the shortstop. Up with it, Rocchio. Fires on to first
- 1:56:09Speaker 3: in time for the out. Caleb Durbin advances to third.
- 1:56:14Speaker 3: Two down in the inning. One pitch. One out for Holderman,
- 1:56:19Speaker 3: who's been terrific. He'll now face a tough hitter in
- 1:56:23Speaker 3: Willier Abreu. Abreu, left-handed batter, facing Holderman, who in 15
- 1:56:29Speaker 3: games for the Guardians has an ERA of 1.40. The
- 1:56:34Speaker 3: pitch to Abreu is outside. Did he check it? Yes,
- 1:56:38Speaker 3: he did.
- 1:56:40Speaker 1: And..
- 1:56:44Speaker 3: We have a challenge by the Guardians, and it's ruled
- 1:56:47Speaker 3: a strike on the ABS by a slim margin. The
- 1:56:52Speaker 3: pitch was called a ball and a check swing, but
- 1:56:55Speaker 3: the challenge by Bailey, who's been really successful in that regard,
- 1:57:00Speaker 3: results in a strike, and it's 0-1 on Abreu. Tie
- 1:57:04Speaker 3: run at third. Holderman lets it fly. Swung on, fouled back,
- 1:57:11Speaker 3: and out of play, and quickly it's 0-2. Matt Holderman
- 1:57:17Speaker 3: has been going right after the hitters with that 97
- 1:57:21Speaker 3: mile an hour sinker and then mixes in the slider.
- 1:57:27Speaker 3: He sets. Here's the 0-2. Swung on. Grounded foul over
- 1:57:33Speaker 3: to the Sox dugout. First base side. Well, it was
- 1:57:39Speaker 3: four consecutive singles. Meyer with an RBI single. Durbin Should
- 1:57:46Speaker 3: say three consecutive singles and a double. Durbin with the
- 1:57:49Speaker 3: RBI double. And then the sack fly from Duran to
- 1:57:53Speaker 3: make it a one-run game. 4-3 Cleveland. Holderman with the 0-2.
- 1:58:00Speaker 3: Swung on. Popped him up. Foul down the left side
- 1:58:03Speaker 3: and out of play. So we do it again on 4-3.
- 1:58:10Speaker 3: to Abreu. Slate Ciccone again. Four scoreless but then recorded
- 1:58:23Speaker 3: just the one out here in the fifth. He is
- 1:58:26Speaker 3: lifted in favor of Holderman. The 0-2. Way outside and high.
- 1:58:32Speaker 3: And it's one and two. On Abreu. Durbin dancing down
- 1:58:40Speaker 3: the line down there at third base. Now time called
- 1:58:48Speaker 3: by Abreu. William Abreu. He has become a Real steady player,
- 1:58:57Speaker 3: outstanding defensively and putting up some numbers offensively. Here's the one-two.
- 1:59:03Speaker 3: Swung on, a chopper back to the mound. Grabbed by Holderman.
- 1:59:07Speaker 3: Heaves it to first in time for the out. Side retired.
- 1:59:11Speaker 3: Holderman gets the job done. We head to the bottom
- 1:59:15Speaker 3: of inning number five. It is 4-3 Cleveland over Boston.

- 2:01:16Speaker 3: Chase DeLauder opens the bottom of the fifth inning. Suddenly,
- 2:01:19Speaker 3: a one-run game as Brian Baio goes back to work.
- 2:01:23Speaker 3: And DeLauder lines one to right. Abreu comes on, can't
- 2:01:27Speaker 3: make the play. It bounces in front of him for
- 2:01:29Speaker 3: a base hit. And DeLauder with a couple of hits.
- 2:01:34Speaker 3: And this one now, two for three, opens the fifth
- 2:01:36Speaker 3: with a single. A baseball goofy game. That's four innings
- 2:01:44Speaker 3: in a row now that the Guardians... Have had a
- 2:01:47Speaker 3: leadoff batter reach. But again, the only inning they didn't
- 2:01:50Speaker 3: was the first when they scored their four runs. See
- 2:01:54Speaker 3: if they can do something with DeLauder at first. And
- 2:01:56Speaker 3: Reese Hoskins stepping in. Here's the pitch. Low and in
- 2:02:03Speaker 3: for ball one. And I'm putting this one right at
- 2:02:10Speaker 3: the top of the list for weather nights this season.
- 2:02:14Speaker 3: Just perfect. Your progressive field tonight. Here's the 1-0. Swung on,
- 2:02:22Speaker 3: and there's a high fly ball, shallow center. Coming in,
- 2:02:26Speaker 3: Raffaella makes the catch, and there's one down. Well, you
- 2:02:31Speaker 3: haven't had a real heavy list of competition. Think of
- 2:02:37Speaker 3: a week ago in Philly compared to tonight. You thought
- 2:02:41Speaker 3: out yet from that? Holy smokes. Seven. We had colder nights,
- 2:02:47Speaker 3: but that was just raw. That was a rough one.
- 2:02:52Speaker 3: And we didn't even play. Kyle Manzardo steps in. Here's
- 2:02:58Speaker 3: the pitch from Baio, breaking ball down low.
- 2:03:01Speaker 6: You know, we didn't play.
- 2:03:02Speaker 3: I think it's much tougher in the booth than it
- 2:03:04Speaker 3: is down on the field in bad weather.
- 2:03:06Speaker 17: Oh, yeah.
- 2:03:07Speaker 8: Yep.
- 2:03:09Speaker 3: I mean, we had to sit still the whole game.
- 2:03:10Speaker 3: You can't move around in it. We could only get
- 2:03:13Speaker 3: the thermostat on the heater up to 75. Unlimited hot cocoa.
- 2:03:22Speaker 3: Here comes the 1-0 pitch to Manzardo. Fastball missed outside.
- 2:03:31Speaker 3: 2-0 the count. Manzardo already 2-for-2. Slowly but surely he
- 2:03:36Speaker 3: has started to see those numbers climb. After a slow start.
- 2:03:45Speaker 3: The 2-0 pitch. Swung on and there's a high fly ball.
- 2:03:48Speaker 3: Shallow right. Charging in Abreu. Now he's under it. Makes
- 2:03:52Speaker 3: the catch. Two down. De Lauder still at first. So
- 2:03:57Speaker 3: again the Guardians get that bleed off hitter on. But
- 2:04:01Speaker 3: so far they haven't been able to move De Lauder
- 2:04:03Speaker 3: here in the fifth. And here comes Angel Martinez. RBI
- 2:04:09Speaker 3: single with another run scoring on an error back in
- 2:04:11Speaker 3: the first inning. One for two. The pitch from Baio.
- 2:04:23Speaker 3: Swung on, looped foul and out of play. And maybe
- 2:04:26Speaker 3: it wouldn't have turned out the same, but this is
- 2:04:29Speaker 3: where when there's an opener and your regular pitcher does
- 2:04:33Speaker 3: well from the get-go, you say, well, why didn't they
- 2:04:35Speaker 3: just start him? But the Guardians got to the opener
- 2:04:39Speaker 3: for four runs in the first inning and that's been
- 2:04:41Speaker 3: the difference. Here comes the 0-1. Up high.
- 2:04:47Speaker 16: 1-1.
- 2:04:53Speaker 3: Martinez switch hitter left side. DeLauder the base runner at first. 4-3.
- 2:05:02Speaker 3: Guardians in front. Out hitting the Red Sox.
- 2:05:04Speaker 35: 10-7.
- 2:05:04Speaker 3: The 1-1. Swung on, line, right side, foul. Down the
- 2:05:10Speaker 3: right field line. Quick injury report presented by Elk & Elk.
- 2:05:14Speaker 3: Serious lawyers for serious injuries. And for the Guardians, still
- 2:05:22Speaker 3: on that injured list is Gabriel Arias with a hamstring issue.
- 2:05:26Speaker 3: Transferred to the 60-day injured list today. Eric Cebrowski on
- 2:05:31Speaker 3: the injured list with the elbow issue. Here's the 1-2.
- 2:05:41Speaker 3: Swing and a miss. Strike three. Martinez down on strike.
- 2:05:45Speaker 3: Side retired. We head to the sixth. It's the Guardians
- 2:05:49Speaker 3: for the Red Sox three.
- 2:07:49Speaker 14: Well, we head down to the sixth inning and first
- 2:07:53Speaker 14: ball swinging and fouling it off to cleanup man Wilson Contreras.
- 2:07:59Speaker 14: Colin Holderman back out there for a second inning of work.
- 2:08:03Speaker 14: Got the final two outs in that fifth inning. Four runs,
- 2:08:07Speaker 14: ten hits Cleveland. Three runs, seven hits Boston. Contreras checked
- 2:08:12Speaker 14: on the pitch down and away. He went around on
- 2:08:15Speaker 14: the appeal to first base up Brennan Miller. And Contreras
- 2:08:19Speaker 14: giving him a sarcastic look. Nothing into the count. Slade
- 2:08:28Speaker 14: Ciccone went four and a third, was dominant through four innings.
- 2:08:32Speaker 14: And then the Red Sox got to him for four
- 2:08:35Speaker 14: straight hits and a sack fly in the fifth. The pitch,
- 2:08:38Speaker 14: check swing, did he go again? Appeal at first, this
- 2:08:42Speaker 14: time Brendan Miller goes, I didn't like that look. I'm
- 2:08:45Speaker 14: saying he didn't go. Looked like the same swing. One ball,
- 2:08:50Speaker 14: two strikes. Holderman's ready. The right-hander lets it rip. Check swing.
- 2:08:58Speaker 14: Ball off the glove of Bailey to the backstop. Two
- 2:09:00Speaker 14: and two to count.
- 2:09:02Speaker 3: Holderman's become one of the dominant set-up men in the game.
- 2:09:14Speaker 3: Colin Holderman. Throws in the upper 90s. Primarily sinkers, sliders.
- 2:09:21Speaker 14: The pitch just missed up and in with a slider.
- 2:09:26Speaker 14: And they count two and two. This has been a
- 2:09:30Speaker 14: game of two innings.
- 2:09:33Speaker 3: Tom Hamilton back with you on this beautiful Friday evening
- 2:09:37Speaker 3: in Northeast Ohio. The pitch fouled off to the right
- 2:09:41Speaker 3: and the count stays full. First inning, Cleveland against The
- 2:09:46Speaker 3: left-handed reliever who started the game, Tyler Samaniedo. Cleveland had
- 2:09:53Speaker 3: six straight singles and a sack fly to score four.
- 2:09:57Speaker 3: The 3-2.
- 2:09:58Speaker 5: Strike!
- 2:09:59Speaker 3: Three called.
- 2:10:00Speaker 14: He challenges the call on the way down to first.
- 2:10:04Speaker 14: And as he goes to first, tapping his helmet, Contreras
- 2:10:08Speaker 14: keeps going to first. Video board says... Strike three called
- 2:10:15Speaker 14: and an embarrassing walk to the first base dugout by Contreras. Boy,
- 2:10:20Speaker 14: you're really showing up the home plate umpire when you
- 2:10:24Speaker 14: keep going to first, challenging the strike three call saying,
- 2:10:28Speaker 14: I know better.
- 2:10:30Speaker 3: And then the call is upheld. That is out number one.
- 2:10:39Speaker 3: Here's Yoshida taking a strike. Those are the kind of
- 2:10:42Speaker 3: things that will get players in trouble with the umpires.
- 2:10:53Speaker 3: The pitch to Yoshida. A swing and a foul back 0-2.
- 2:10:59Speaker 3: It's one thing to challenge a call. It's another to say,
- 2:11:04Speaker 3: I'm just going to first because I know you're wrong
- 2:11:06Speaker 3: and I'm right. Those guys... Have long memories. Now the set.
- 2:11:14Speaker 3: Now the 0-2. Down and in. 1-2 the count.
- 2:11:19Speaker 14: So then the Red Sox countered Cleveland's 4-run first with
- 2:11:23Speaker 14: a 3-run fifth.
- 2:11:25Speaker 3: Four straight hits of their own. And a sack fly.
- 2:11:28Speaker 3: That's been your ballgame. Two wild innings. First and fifth.
- 2:11:34Speaker 3: Way outside the next offering. The count 2-2.
- 2:11:40Speaker 14: Hosotaka Yoshida, two fly outs. The 2-2 to the left-handed hitter.
- 2:11:49Speaker 14: And it's high again, full count. Another good thing, Cleveland
- 2:11:56Speaker 14: had an off.
- 2:11:56Speaker 3: Day simply because you're going to your bullpen in the
- 2:11:59Speaker 3: fifth inning. And now the left-hander, Tim Heron, warming up.
- 2:12:06Speaker 3: The pitch, and it's banged up the middle. Behind second,
- 2:12:10Speaker 3: fielded by Rocchio, throws out Yoshida. Not sure if Holderman
- 2:12:15Speaker 3: got hit by that ball that was scalded back up
- 2:12:18Speaker 3: the middle.
- 2:12:18Speaker 6: Looks like he did.
- 2:12:20Speaker 14: He is limping on the grass area to the left
- 2:12:23Speaker 14: of the mound. Yoshida spanked one back up the middle,
- 2:12:28Speaker 14: and that line drive got him. Near the calf area
- 2:12:32Speaker 14: of the left leg. That'll be a 1-6-3 out. And
- 2:12:38Speaker 14: we'll see if Holderman can continue. He will not.
- 2:12:42Speaker 3: Manager Stephen Vogt went to the mound to check on
- 2:12:50Speaker 3: him and made the pitching change. Holderman, little bit of
- 2:12:53Speaker 3: a limp coming to the third base dugout. Will take
- 2:12:56Speaker 3: a timeout. 4-3 Cleveland here in the 6th.

- 2:15:31Speaker 14: pitched last, or I should say he played last year
- 2:15:35Speaker 14: with Minnesota.
- 2:15:38Speaker 3: Has also... Spent a previous stint in Boston. Second time
- 2:15:43Speaker 3: with the Red Sox. The pitch. Way outside. 3-1 on
- 2:15:49Speaker 3: Mickey Gasper. He is only playing in a 16th game
- 2:15:58Speaker 3: with the Red Sox. Most of the year in AAA Worcester.
- 2:16:02Speaker 3: Now the 3-1. And a strike. Top of the zone.
- 2:16:07Speaker 3: Full count. Boston, one challenge left. Cleveland has both of theirs.
- 2:16:19Speaker 3: Looked like a rout after one inning. 4-0 Cleveland. Now
- 2:16:24Speaker 3: 4-3 Cleveland. Boston batting in the sixth. Now the 3-2 pitch.
- 2:16:30Speaker 3: Swung on line drive to left, but right at Angel Martinez.
- 2:16:34Speaker 3: Shoulder high catch to end it. It's the middle of
- 2:16:37Speaker 3: the sixth, and it stays. Cleveland 4, Boston 3 on
- 2:16:41Speaker 3: the Cleveland Clinic.
- 2:16:45Speaker 27: This is the call of the Australian rubber bird. This
- 2:16:50Speaker 27: is the call of the Alaskan chili bird. And this
- 2:16:58Speaker 27: is the call of the marathon mascot bald eagle, Max.
- 2:17:01Speaker 5: Hi, it's Max.
- 2:17:02Speaker 3: Hello.

- 2:17:15Speaker 3: Bybee into the motion. And the right-hander with the one-two delivery.
- 2:17:19Speaker 5: Swing and a miss!
- 2:17:21Speaker 3: Back foot slider ate him up! What a job by
- 2:17:25Speaker 3: Tanner Bybee!
- 2:17:26Speaker 38: This is Tanner Bybee.
- 2:17:27Speaker 24: You're listening to the Cleveland Clinic Guardians Radio Network.
- 2:17:31Speaker 36: In baseball, there are plenty of things you can count on.
- 2:17:33Speaker 36: A sea of foam fingers. Kids lining up for autographs.
- 2:17:37Speaker 36: Catching the wave as it makes its way around the stands.
- 2:17:41Speaker 36: In healthcare, there are things you can rely on just

- 2:18:05Speaker 1: I can't believe the deal we got on these seats.
- 2:18:06Speaker 16: For the game.
- 2:18:07Speaker 35: Wow, they must be pretty high up here.
- 2:18:09Speaker 21: I think my ears just popped.
- 2:18:10Speaker 3: Here, put this on.
- 2:18:12Speaker 5: Is that an oxygen mask?
- 2:18:13Speaker 3: An official team oxygen mask.
- 2:18:15Speaker 21: Well, I can kind of see the field.
- 2:18:17Speaker 3: Good, your senses are still sharp. You're going to need
- 2:18:19Speaker 3: them for phase two of the ascent.
- 2:18:22Speaker 16: Don't save money by sitting in the nosebleeds. You could

- 2:18:29Speaker 16: in all states or situations.
- 2:18:41Speaker 14: Daniel Schneeman hitting seventh tonight in center field. Leans off
- 2:18:45Speaker 14: against Brian Bale, who's pitched well again out of the
- 2:18:49Speaker 14: Boston bullpen. 4-3 Cleveland, bottom of the sixth. Pitch inside,
- 2:18:54Speaker 14: almost hit him. I guess it's just a mental thing
- 2:18:59Speaker 14: with Bale. How else can you explain that in his
- 2:19:03Speaker 14: seven starts, his earned run average is 9.68. This is
- 2:19:10Speaker 14: his fourth appearance out of the bullpen.
- 2:19:13Speaker 3: And his ERA is under one. The pitch banged on
- 2:19:17Speaker 3: the ground to first. Handled by Contreras. He'll make the
- 2:19:20Speaker 3: play himself. Bale. And this is fourth outing coming in
- 2:19:29Speaker 3: out of the bullpen. Has given up two earned runs
- 2:19:35Speaker 3: in 22 innings.
- 2:19:43Speaker 14: Here's Patrick Bailey. He's had a big night. Sack flying
- 2:19:47Speaker 14: a double. He'll bat left-handed. The Cleveland catcher. Bunts at
- 2:19:53Speaker 14: third base side to the left of the mound. Bale backhands.
- 2:19:56Speaker 14: Jump throw to first.
- 2:19:57Speaker 5: Got him!
- 2:19:58Speaker 3: Oh, what a play by Bale!
- 2:20:00Speaker 14: If he doesn't get to that terrific bunt to the
- 2:20:03Speaker 14: left of the mound before the third baseman Durbin got there,
- 2:20:07Speaker 14: kind of spun with a jump throw to first. And
- 2:20:11Speaker 14: he got him, or else it's a punch single for Bailey.
- 2:20:15Speaker 14: Heck of a play by Bale. Two down, bases stay empty.
- 2:20:21Speaker 14: Sixth inning, 4-3 Cleveland. Brian Rocchio, strikeout, ground out, switch
- 2:20:27Speaker 14: hitter batting left-handed. Bale out of the Dominican Republic. He's ready.
- 2:20:40Speaker 14: He fires. Rocio waves at it. Nothing and one to count.
- 2:20:55Speaker 14: Outfield really spread out medium deep. The pitch outside one
- 2:21:03Speaker 14: and one. Temp has dropped to 67 degrees, but that
- 2:21:08Speaker 14: American flag above the bullpen is out in the right
- 2:21:12Speaker 14: center field concourse.
- 2:21:15Speaker 6: Barely moving.
- 2:21:16Speaker 3: Just a delightful Friday night in Northeast Ohio. Down the 1-1.
- 2:21:24Speaker 3: Down and in, ball two, 2-1. And a challenge by
- 2:21:28Speaker 3: the catcher, Gasper. They may be out of challenges after
- 2:21:32Speaker 3: this one.
- 2:21:35Speaker 1: Nope.
- 2:21:36Speaker 14: Gasper Wright. John Tumpain overruled. It's a strike. Call overturned.
- 2:21:44Speaker 14: And now the count. A ball and two strikes. Baio
- 2:21:50Speaker 14: is ready.
- 2:21:51Speaker 3: Here it comes. Outside a changeup. Two and two. Tomorrow's
- 2:22:01Speaker 3: matchup at 4-10.
- 2:22:03Speaker 14: Parker Messick. Against Sonny Gray. Tanner Bybee and Ranger Suarez
- 2:22:09Speaker 14: Sunday afternoon. Now the 2-2. Got him swinging on another
- 2:22:14Speaker 14: great changeup. Boy, Bale lights out here tonight. 4-3 Cleveland.
- 2:22:19Speaker 14: 6 in the books here at the corner of Carnegie
- 2:22:23Speaker 14: and Ontario. Tim Herron back out, delivering a breaking ball
- 2:24:26Speaker 14: strike to start the seventh, 4-3 Cleveland. Isaiah Kiner-Falefa, one
- 2:24:33Speaker 14: for two with a single. Herron lets it fly. The
- 2:24:37Speaker 14: pitch banged foul third base side, 0-2. Colin Holderman got
- 2:24:44Speaker 14: the four Red Sox he faced. Tim Herron retired the
- 2:24:49Speaker 14: one that he faced last inning. Activity in the Cleveland bullpen.
- 2:24:59Speaker 14: Right-hander Sean Armstrong. The next pitch. Yank foul down the
- 2:25:03Speaker 14: left side. Still 0-2. Isaiah Kiner-Falefa. Like Joey Cantillo. Grew
- 2:25:12Speaker 14: up in the Honolulu area. Ninth year in the big leagues.
- 2:25:20Speaker 14: Once won the gold glove.
- 2:25:22Speaker 3: The 0-2. Swing and a pop-up. Playable. Shallow right. Bazana out.
- 2:25:29Speaker 3: De Lauder in.
- 2:25:30Speaker 14: Bazana makes the one-handed catch. Cleveland's second baseman retires his counterpart.
- 2:25:36Speaker 14: Here's Marcelo Meyer. Meyer, a left-handed hitter at short. One
- 2:25:43Speaker 14: for two, an RBI single. Meyer, a first-round pick out
- 2:25:49Speaker 14: of high school in 2021. And the fourth player chosen
- 2:25:56Speaker 14: in that first round of 2021. The pitch. Meyer bangs
- 2:26:01Speaker 14: one on the ground. A third backing up with the backhand.
- 2:26:03Speaker 14: Ramirez spins around, throws. And the dirt backhanded attempt by Manzardo.
- 2:26:08Speaker 14: Couldn't find the handle. Meyer gets an infield hit. He
- 2:26:13Speaker 14: has two hits and an RBI tonight. Meyer really runs well.
- 2:26:20Speaker 14: Hosea had to make that spinning throw in the dirt. Normally,
- 2:26:24Speaker 14: Manzardo makes that scoop, but it just kind of popped
- 2:26:28Speaker 14: in and out of the glove. That'll be it for
- 2:26:31Speaker 14: Tim Herron. We will have another pitching change after the
- 2:26:35Speaker 14: Meyer infield hit. The call to the bullpen brought to
- 2:26:38Speaker 14: you by Spartan Storm Shield, the roof system to last
- 2:26:41Speaker 14: your lifetime. Visit SpartanStormShield.com. 4-3, Cleveland up. Seventh inning, we'll
- 2:26:48Speaker 14: be back.

- 2:27:55Speaker 5: Snap! Snap!
- 2:27:57Speaker 27: This is the call of the Alaskan chili bird. And
- 2:28:04Speaker 27: this is the call of the marathon mascot bald eagle, Max.
- 2:28:08Speaker 5: Hi, it's Max.
- 2:28:09Speaker 3: Hello. Did you know you can save up to a
- 2:28:11Speaker 3: dollar a gallon with the Marathon Rewards app?
- 2:28:13Speaker 5: No.
- 2:28:14Speaker 21: Thanks for the call.

- 2:28:33Speaker 14: Right-hander Sean Armstrong on to pitch for Cleveland. Armstrong, fastball, sinker, cutter, slider.
- 2:28:42Speaker 14: Righty-righty matchup. Number nine hitter, third baseman Caleb Durbin at
- 2:28:46Speaker 14: the plate. One out, runner at first, 4-3 Cleveland, seventh inning.
- 2:28:52Speaker 14: The second pitch, and it's in there, a strike. Armstrong,
- 2:28:56Speaker 14: who spent time on the injured list, making his 16th appearance.
- 2:29:01Speaker 3: He's 1-0, 3-38 ERA. Meyer runs well at first. Durbin
- 2:29:12Speaker 3: swings and misses. Good slider. And they count 0-2. Caleb
- 2:29:18Speaker 3: Durbin already has his degree in economics. He went to
- 2:29:27Speaker 3: Washington University there in St. Louis. Now the 0-2. Swing
- 2:29:37Speaker 3: and a tamper to third. Foul. Will do it again
- 2:29:40Speaker 3: at 0-2. Drake Baldwin, the outstanding catcher for Atlanta, was
- 2:29:51Speaker 3: the National League Rookie of the Year a year ago
- 2:29:54Speaker 3: and Durbin had a big year with Milwaukee. Finished third
- 2:29:58Speaker 3: and then the Brewers traded him. Now the 0-2 pitch.
- 2:30:04Speaker 3: Swing and a double play ball up the middle. But
- 2:30:07Speaker 3: only knocked down by Armstrong. Couldn't field it cleanly. He
- 2:30:11Speaker 3: did recover. Picked up the ball on the grass in
- 2:30:15Speaker 3: front of the mound. Underhand flip to first. Got Durbin.
- 2:30:18Speaker 3: Meyer to second. So now the tying run and scoring position.
- 2:30:23Speaker 3: Two down in the seventh. Cleveland with a 4-3 lead.
- 2:30:27Speaker 3: Hunter Gattis warming in the Cleveland pen. And the top
- 2:30:31Speaker 3: of the order. And this is Jaron Duran, who's been
- 2:30:35Speaker 3: red hot lately. Tonight, one for two, a single, a
- 2:30:38Speaker 3: sack fly, the pitch. And he looks at a called strike.
- 2:30:44Speaker 3: Last 11 games, Duran batting. 340. One-time All-Star, Jaron Duran.
- 2:30:56Speaker 3: The 0-1.
- 2:30:59Speaker 14: Foul tipped into the catcher's mid-0-2. Duran, the last two seasons,
- 2:31:07Speaker 14: has averaged 19 homers, 45 doubles, 29 steals, and 80
- 2:31:14Speaker 14: RBIs in each of 2024 and 2025.
- 2:31:16Speaker 3: Now the 0-2. Adams swinging! Went after the high heat,
- 2:31:33Speaker 3: and Armstrong gets the job done. What else is new?
- 2:31:37Speaker 14: This magnificent Cleveland bullpen continues to be the best in baseball.
- 2:31:44Speaker 14: And again, it's tonight. Holderman, Heron, Armstrong keeping the Red
- 2:31:50Speaker 14: Sox at bay. Stretch time at the corner of Carnegie
- 2:31:54Speaker 14: and Ontario.
- 2:31:55Speaker 5: 4-3 Cleveland.
- 2:31:57Speaker 3: Hey, Guardians fans, are you thinking of consolidating your debt
- 2:32:00Speaker 3: with a home equity loan?
- 2:32:01Speaker 1: With the average homeowner having over.
- 2:32:03Speaker 3: $ 200, 000 of home equity, hit it out of the park
- 2:32:06Speaker 3: with Union Home Mortgage, the official mortgage partner of the
- 2:32:09Speaker 3: Cleveland Guardians.

- 2:33:56Speaker 3: Bottom of the 7th. Top of the order. Bale's ready
- 2:34:00Speaker 3: and the pitch. And it's banged up the middle behind second.
- 2:34:04Speaker 3: Gloved by Meyer. The shortstop throws out Pazana. Man, has
- 2:34:09Speaker 3: Bayo been tremendous. Now a 10-second station ID on the

- 2:34:28Speaker 14: Tom Hamilton, Jim Rosenhouse, Brian Motze on this beautiful Friday
- 2:34:33Speaker 14: evening in downtown Cleveland. Four to three, Guardians. Jose Ramirez
- 2:34:38Speaker 14: takes a strike from Brian Bale. Ramirez has singled and
- 2:34:43Speaker 14: lined out twice to right. Cleveland hasn't scored since the first.
- 2:34:51Speaker 3: The 0-1. Hit foul, first base side, 0-2. In that
- 2:34:57Speaker 3: first inning against the left-handed reliever who started, Tyler Samanyedo,
- 2:35:04Speaker 3: Cleveland had six consecutive singles and a sack fly to
- 2:35:09Speaker 3: plate four. Bale hasn't given up a run since coming
- 2:35:15Speaker 3: on in the second. The pitch, and it's half foul again.
- 2:35:20Speaker 3: Right side still 0-2. In fact, Bale has only allowed
- 2:35:25Speaker 3: four hits, has struck out three, not walked a batter.
- 2:35:32Speaker 3: Outfield spread out, medium deep for Ramirez. Now the 0-2.
- 2:35:40Speaker 3: Swing and a miss.
- 2:35:42Speaker 14: They got him to chase the fastball up and away
- 2:35:44Speaker 14: at 96. Four strikeouts for Bale. Two down in the seventh.
- 2:35:52Speaker 14: Here's Chase DeLauder. Two for three. A couple of broken
- 2:35:56Speaker 14: bat singles. Baio is ready, hands chest high, lets it fly.
- 2:36:10Speaker 14: The pitch hit on the ground to second, and Keiner
- 2:36:13Speaker 14: Falefa will flip to first. Holy cow, this guy is
- 2:36:17Speaker 14: making this look too easy. Seven in the books, 4-3 Cleveland.
- 2:36:22Speaker 14: This is the Cleveland Clinic Radio Network. Hunter Gattis coming on,
- 2:38:26Speaker 14: and boy, as he turned his season around, he's throwing
- 2:38:29Speaker 14: the best he's thrown it all year. He'll take over
- 2:38:32Speaker 14: in the eighth with Cleveland on top, 4-3. Sean Armstrong
- 2:38:36Speaker 14: added two-thirds of a scoreless inning with a strikeout. Tim Herron,
- 2:38:40Speaker 14: two-thirds of a scoreless inning. Colin Holderman, an inning and
- 2:38:45Speaker 14: a third of scoreless relief. Sadon Raffaella, the number two
- 2:38:49Speaker 14: hitter and center fielder. Gattis lets it fly. Raffaella waves
- 2:38:54Speaker 14: at it. Gattis fastball slider, and he's gone back to
- 2:38:58Speaker 14: throwing that changeup. Gets updated this inning on the Northeast
- 2:39:04Speaker 14: Ohio four-dealers out-of-town scoreboard. Now the 0-1 pitch. Down and
- 2:39:12Speaker 14: away to even the count. Atlanta beating up the Reds 8-3.
- 2:39:16Speaker 14: They go to the ninth. Eighth inning in Maryland. 5-4
- 2:39:22Speaker 14: Baltimore on top of Toronto. Minnesota leading Pittsburgh 5-4 in
- 2:39:28Speaker 14: the seventh. Pitch way outside.
- 2:39:31Speaker 6: 2-1 the count.
- 2:39:33Speaker 3: Seventh inning, Tampa with a 4-2 lead over the Angels.
- 2:39:37Speaker 3: Seventh inning, Washington-San Diego tied at 5. The next delivery.
- 2:39:47Speaker 3: Swung on, popped him up. This is playable. This one
- 2:39:51Speaker 3: is near the home plate area. Foul ground back into
- 2:39:54Speaker 3: fair territory. Catch made by Kyle Manzardo. First baseman ended
- 2:40:00Speaker 3: up about 10, 12 feet from home plate. Went from
- 2:40:03Speaker 3: foul ground to fair territory. Raffaella pops up for out
- 2:40:07Speaker 3: number one. Here's Wealdier Abreu. Good power for the left-handed
- 2:40:13Speaker 3: hitting right fielder. 0 for 3 tonight.
- 2:40:19Speaker 14: Gattis is ready. The pitch to Abreu. And he sends
- 2:40:26Speaker 14: one in the air. Shallow left. Rokio the shortstop corrals it.
- 2:40:31Speaker 14: Two easy pop-ups. Two down for Wilson Contreras. Mets with
- 2:40:38Speaker 14: a 6-4 lead on Miami. Sixth inning. Cubs finally ended
- 2:40:44Speaker 14: a 10-game slide, but they trail St. Louis tonight 5-4.
- 2:40:48Speaker 3: They go to the 7th. Fourth inning, Milwaukee and Houston
- 2:40:53Speaker 3: tied at 1. Fourth inning, Texas bouncing Kansas City 4-0.
- 2:40:58Speaker 3: Gattis lets it rip. Pitch is in there. It's a
- 2:41:02Speaker 3: called strike. Detroit with a 2-1 lead over the White Sox.
- 2:41:08Speaker 3: They're in the 6th inning. The White Sox... Lost their
- 2:41:13Speaker 3: rookie slugger with hamstring tightness. The pitch.
- 2:41:18Speaker 6: Check swing.
- 2:41:19Speaker 3: Did he go? Appeal at first. He went around.
- 2:41:24Speaker 14: And Contreras and first base umpire Brennan Miller. Not exactly
- 2:41:30Speaker 14: making goo-goo eyes with each other once again on a
- 2:41:33Speaker 14: check swing. That one against Contreras. Now the 0-2 pitch.
- 2:41:43Speaker 14: A changeup that he fouled at the plate. Boy, that's
- 2:41:46Speaker 14: a righty-righty changeup. Gives you an idea of the kind
- 2:41:50Speaker 14: of confidence that Gattis now has in that changeup. Now
- 2:42:04Speaker 14: the 0-2 pitch. Swing and a floater. Shallow center. Bozzana
- 2:42:09Speaker 14: can't quite get there. Drops into center field. Contreras with
- 2:42:13Speaker 14: that flare single.
- 2:42:22Speaker 3: So the guy I was mentioning, Murakami, for the White Sox,
- 2:42:27Speaker 3: who's maybe the rookie of the year right now in
- 2:42:29Speaker 3: the American League, the White Sox slugger had to leave
- 2:42:33Speaker 3: the game with hamstring tightness. We'll get a pinch runner
- 2:42:36Speaker 3: now for Contreras at first base. That's the tying run.
- 2:42:43Speaker 3: Out at first.
- 2:42:46Speaker 14: So 4-3 Cleveland. Red Sox with a runner at first.
- 2:42:51Speaker 14: Two down in the eighth inning. Nick Sogard, the pinch runner.
- 2:42:58Speaker 3: At first.
- 2:43:00Speaker 6: Here's Yoshida. 0-3.
- 2:43:04Speaker 3: Masataka Yoshida, the left-handed hitting DH. Gattis with the pitch.
- 2:43:09Speaker 3: Waved at.
- 2:43:10Speaker 14: Strike one. Gattis is ready. The pitch is high, one
- 2:43:28Speaker 14: and one. Gattis back up in the mid-90s with a fastball,
- 2:43:33Speaker 14: that slider, and now with that changeup, boy, another situation
- 2:43:39Speaker 14: where a hitter can't just sit fastball slider. The next pitch,
- 2:43:46Speaker 14: instead of throw to first, almost picked them off. Tonight's attendance,
- 2:43:51Speaker 14: it's a big crowd, near capacity, 34,404. Now the 1-1 delivery.
- 2:44:04Speaker 14: Fouled it back. He has stayed with the hard stuff.
- 2:44:08Speaker 14: And a 1-2 count now on Yoshida. Yoshida Hasn't quite
- 2:44:21Speaker 14: become the star maybe Boston envisioned.
- 2:44:25Speaker 3: The 1-2 pitch. Down and in. Dean almost chased it 2-2.
- 2:44:35Speaker 3: A lot of people.
- 2:44:36Speaker 14: Thought at the time Boston way overpaid for Yoshida. They
- 2:44:41Speaker 14: gave him a five-year $ 90 million contract and had to
- 2:44:45Speaker 14: pay a $ 15 million posting fee. The pitch swung on.
- 2:44:49Speaker 14: He lines this one toward right center. It's a base hit.
- 2:44:52Speaker 14: Cut off in the gap by DeLauder. Hustling to third
- 2:44:56Speaker 14: is Sogard. Yoshida has put Red Sox at the corners
- 2:45:01Speaker 14: with two down. Eighth inning, 4-3 Cleveland. And this guy's
- 2:45:06Speaker 14: been a tough out tonight. Mickey Gasper has doubled, singled,
- 2:45:12Speaker 14: lined out. This guy, Mickey Gasper, Much of the year
- 2:45:19Speaker 14: at AAA Worcester, his eighth minor league season has come
- 2:45:26Speaker 14: up to Boston and done something he's never done in
- 2:45:29Speaker 14: the big leagues, and that's hit the pitch, and he
- 2:45:32Speaker 14: bangs one to first, corralled by Manzardo, steps on the bag,
- 2:45:37Speaker 14: Gattis works out of it. Bottom of the eighth, coming
- 2:45:40Speaker 14: up with Cleveland still leading it by a score of 4-3.

- 2:47:30Speaker 38: University is a proud partner of the Cleveland Guardians.
- 2:47:44Speaker 14: Leading off, Reese Hoskins, one for three, RBI single in
- 2:47:48Speaker 14: the four-run first. Brian Baio misses down low for ball one.
- 2:47:54Speaker 14: Four to three, Cleveland, bottom of the eighth.
- 2:47:56Speaker 3: Nick Silgard stays in the game playing first after running
- 2:48:01Speaker 3: for Contreras. Baio has been terrific. The 1-0 pitch. Wait
- 2:48:09Speaker 3: a minute.
- 2:48:10Speaker 14: Pitch clock violation on Baio. So that makes it a
- 2:48:16Speaker 14: 2-0 count on Reese Hoskins. Bale comes to a set
- 2:48:32Speaker 14: position and fires. And the pitch sent.
- 2:48:36Speaker 3: In the air. Medium right. Routine for Abreu. Hoskins out
- 2:48:41Speaker 3: number one. That'll bring up Kyle Manzardo. Manzardo, two singles
- 2:48:53Speaker 3: and a fly out. Cade Smith, who has been perfect
- 2:48:59Speaker 3: since almost mid-April. Warming for the ninth inning when the
- 2:49:03Speaker 3: Red Sox have the bottom third of the order due up.
- 2:49:07Speaker 14: The pitch. Manzardo takes the strike. Cleveland four runs, ten hits,
- 2:49:14Speaker 14: one error, five left. Boston three runs, ten hits, one error,
- 2:49:18Speaker 14: six stranded. Cleveland four in the first, Boston three in
- 2:49:22Speaker 14: the fifth. The next delivery, and it's fouled back, nothing
- 2:49:28Speaker 14: into the count on Manzardo. Boston coming off a homestand
- 2:49:39Speaker 14: in which they lost five out of six They trail
- 2:49:46Speaker 14: by a run tonight. The pitch just missed wide. One ball,
- 2:49:51Speaker 14: two strikes. Bale is ready. Here's the one-two delivery. Got
- 2:50:07Speaker 14: him swinging.
- 2:50:09Speaker 3: Five strikeouts for Bale. Now what Boston's.
- 2:50:12Speaker 14: Going to have to figure out How do we get
- 2:50:15Speaker 14: this guy over the mental hump of starting the ballgame?
- 2:50:20Speaker 14: If Bayo had started the game and pitched like this,
- 2:50:23Speaker 14: Boston would be cruising and leading 3-0. But they started
- 2:50:28Speaker 14: a reliever because Bayo's been better coming out of the
- 2:50:32Speaker 14: bullpen and giving them bulk innings. The pitch, a swing
- 2:50:37Speaker 14: and a liner towards center field. Coming on to make
- 2:50:40Speaker 14: the chest-high catch, Raffaello. As Haniel Martinez hit it hard
- 2:50:45Speaker 14: but not rewarded. It's time for Kate Smith. Baseball's best
- 2:50:50Speaker 14: closer next.
- 2:50:51Speaker 3: Cleveland up 4-3.
- 2:52:51Speaker 14: It's here, Northern Ohio Toyota dealers. The new Toyota Tacoma,
- 2:52:55Speaker 14: more powerful, efficient, with an I-4 Spax hybrid engine. Toyota,
- 2:53:00Speaker 14: let's go places. Cleveland four, Boston three. Bottom third of
- 2:53:05Speaker 14: the order against Cade Smith. Leads the major leagues in
- 2:53:10Speaker 14: saves with 19 and 21 tries. Isaiah Kiner-Falefa takes up
- 2:53:16Speaker 14: an in-ball one. Upper 90s fastball slider split. Keiner Falefa
- 2:53:24Speaker 14: one for three. Righty righty. The pitch swung on line.
- 2:53:28Speaker 14: Center field. Base hit. Boy Boston has not been going away.
- 2:53:32Speaker 14: Down four nothing after one. They just keep coming. And
- 2:53:37Speaker 14: this is the American League's worst offense. Here's Marcelo Meyer.
- 2:53:43Speaker 14: Two for three. Two singles and RBI. Cade Smith. He
- 2:53:51Speaker 14: has not had a blown save dating back to almost mid-April.
- 2:53:57Speaker 14: The set and delivery, and it's in there, called strike.
- 2:54:01Speaker 7: 16 consecutive saves.
- 2:54:12Speaker 3: The Pits foul back 0-2. That dates back to April 16th.
- 2:54:31Speaker 3: Laid-off man aboard, Isaiah Kiner-Falefa, four steals. Smith is ready,
- 2:54:37Speaker 3: the 0-2. Meyer swings and misses at 97 miles an hour.
- 2:54:43Speaker 3: One down in the ninth.
- 2:54:45Speaker 14: Caleb Durbin, the number nine hitter, one for three with
- 2:54:48Speaker 14: an RBI double. When you've got rust to bust, use
- 2:54:52Speaker 14: PB Blaster. Cleveland original since 1957. PB Blaster, always work
- 2:54:59Speaker 14: it like a pro. Durbin stepping out. The set. The pitch.
- 2:55:13Speaker 14: Checked on the pitch.
- 2:55:14Speaker 3: Up and in. Ball one. And Cleveland's challenging. Well, Cleveland
- 2:55:20Speaker 3: has two challenges. Might as well. They now have one challenge.
- 2:55:31Speaker 3: Call stays, but again, if you're Patrick Bailey, you go,
- 2:55:35Speaker 3: why not? Still have one left.
- 2:55:40Speaker 14: If you go extra innings, you get one challenge each
- 2:55:44Speaker 14: extra inning if you're out of them. The 1-0, Bulls high,
- 2:55:49Speaker 14: and the count, 1-1. 4-3 Cleveland, tying run at first,
- 2:55:56Speaker 14: one down in the Boston ninth. Smith is ready, hands
- 2:56:02Speaker 14: chest high. He lets it fly to first and back
- 2:56:04Speaker 14: with a dive is Keiner Falefa. Chad Durbin, 14th round
- 2:56:14Speaker 14: pick by Atlanta. Traded to the Yankees, traded to Milwaukee,
- 2:56:19Speaker 14: traded to Boston. He bangs one foul outside of third
- 2:56:24Speaker 14: and they count one and two. You just don't envision in...
- 2:56:31Speaker 14: That power spot on the diamond third, a guy 5'7.
- 2:56:37Speaker 14: That's what Durbin is. He's got some pop, the pitch,
- 2:56:41Speaker 14: and he fouled it back. Had 11 home runs with Milwaukee,
- 2:56:46Speaker 14: one this year. I mean, Boston traded for him when
- 2:56:51Speaker 14: they didn't re-sign Alex Bregman to be their everyday third baseman.
- 2:56:55Speaker 14: They're no longer playing him every day. He's in there tonight.
- 2:57:00Speaker 14: Big gap left center of the pitch. Little low and
- 2:57:04Speaker 14: challenged again by Bailey. Boy, that was, it looked like
- 2:57:09Speaker 14: from here a strike.
- 2:57:09Speaker 3: We'll see.
- 2:57:13Speaker 5: Strike!
- 2:57:15Speaker 3: Three called.
- 2:57:17Speaker 14: Not by John Tambain, but by ABS. Good challenge, Patrick Bailey.
- 2:57:24Speaker 14: Durbin's out looking. Two down in the ninth. Runner at first,
- 2:57:30Speaker 14: Cleveland four, Boston three, and the dangerous Jaron Duran. Left-handed hitter.
- 2:57:39Speaker 14: One for three, a single and a sack fly. 34,000
- 2:57:44Speaker 14: on their feet at the corner of Carnegie and Ontario.
- 2:57:47Speaker 5: Strike!
- 2:57:48Speaker 14: One called on the outside corner. Thought Duran might challenge that.
- 2:57:52Speaker 14: Boston has. One challenge left. Outfield deep. The next delivery
- 2:58:00Speaker 14: from Cade Smith. Swing and a foul back. Red Sox
- 2:58:04Speaker 14: down to their last strike. And Durant's a guy that
- 2:58:09Speaker 14: will chase and strikes out a lot. What does Cade
- 2:58:13Speaker 14: Smith do here? High heat or go with the split?
- 2:58:20Speaker 14: Now the 0-2 pitch.
- 2:58:22Speaker 5: Swing and a miss. Ball game.
- 2:58:25Speaker 3: He went with a high heat. Durant chased.
- 2:58:29Speaker 14: Smith strikes out the side and has a Major League
- 2:58:34Speaker 14: Best 20 saves. Cleveland takes game one this weekend, 4-3.

- 3:00:43Speaker 14: for Boston tonight, Tyler Samaniego, and he gave up the
- 3:00:48Speaker 14: four runs in the first. Boston never fully recovered. They
- 3:00:52Speaker 14: got three in the fifth, but Cleveland's brilliant bullpen came
- 3:00:57Speaker 14: through again. Four and two-thirds shutout innings by baseball's best bullpen,

- 3:07:52Speaker 3: Moving right along, bottom of the fifth, the Astros lead
- 3:07:55Speaker 3: the Brewers 4-3. Houston playing a lot better baseball that
- 3:07:58Speaker 3: game in the bottom of the fifth than Houston. Rangers

- 3:08:04Speaker 3: in Arlington. Tigers lead the White Sox 2-1, top eight
- 3:08:08Speaker 3: in Chicago. Elsewhere, it's the Cardinals over the Cubs in St. Louis, 5-4,

- 3:08:20Speaker 3: it's the Rays 8, the Angels 5 at the end
- 3:08:22Speaker 3: of 8 down in St. Pete. The Blue Jays lead
- 3:08:25Speaker 3: the Orioles with a late rush. 6-5 Toronto in front

- 3:08:32Speaker 3: The Twins lead the Pirates 5-4, bottom of the eighth

- 3:09:28Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 3:10:52Speaker 3: Welcome back to Guardians Wrap-Up. We join you from Progressive Field,
- 3:10:57Speaker 3: downtown Cleveland, following a 4-3 Guardians win over the Red
- 3:11:01Speaker 3: Sox in the series opener. Here's how it went, and
- 3:11:04Speaker 3: the Guardians went wild early off of the opener. Tyler Samaniego.
- 3:11:10Speaker 3: as they scored four times in the first inning, stringing
- 3:11:13Speaker 3: together singles galore. Jose Ramirez got it started with a
- 3:11:17Speaker 3: one-out single. Chase DeLauder with an infield single, setting the
- 3:11:21Speaker 3: table for Reese Hoskins. Now the 0-2 pitch.
- 3:11:26Speaker 5: Swing and a miss. Ball game.
- 3:11:29Speaker 3: He went with a high heat. Durant chased. Smith strikes
- 3:11:34Speaker 3: out the side. After a single from Kyle Manzardo, Angel
- 3:11:39Speaker 3: Martinez came through. Martinez will bat right-handed, switch hitter. The pitch,
- 3:11:45Speaker 3: and he rips one into right center. That's a base hit.
- 3:11:49Speaker 3: De Lauder scores. Hoskins stops at third.
- 3:11:52Speaker 5: Now the ball got away.
- 3:11:54Speaker 3: And on to home comes Hoskins with a hit first dive.
- 3:11:59Speaker 3: And the Guardians have a 3-0 lead.
- 3:12:04Speaker 14: Everybody was going up just one base on the RBI
- 3:12:08Speaker 14: single to right center. But then Raffaello overran the ball.
- 3:12:13Speaker 14: And the Guardians get an extra run and give Angel
- 3:12:17Speaker 14: Martinez one RBI and the other run scoring on the air.
- 3:12:23Speaker 3: And Patrick Bailey would drive in the final run in
- 3:12:25Speaker 3: the inning with a sack fly to right. That made
- 3:12:28Speaker 3: it a 4-0 Guardians lead. The Red Sox would make
- 3:12:32Speaker 3: things close in the fifth as they scored three times
- 3:12:36Speaker 3: off of starter Slade Ciccone, who did not make it
- 3:12:38Speaker 3: out of the fifth inning. An RBI single from Marcelo Meyer,
- 3:12:42Speaker 3: an RBI double from Caleb Durbin, and a sack fly
- 3:12:45Speaker 3: by Jaron Duran. That plated the runs for the Red Sox,
- 3:12:49Speaker 3: but that was it. Each team scoring all of its
- 3:12:51Speaker 3: runs in a single inning, and that would be your
- 3:12:54Speaker 3: final score tonight, 4-3. The Red Sox did have a
- 3:12:58Speaker 3: base runner in the ninth inning, but Kate Smith did
- 3:13:01Speaker 3: what Kate Smith does, slamming the door with Jaron Duran
- 3:13:04Speaker 3: at the plate. Now the 0-2 pitch.
- 3:13:08Speaker 5: Swing and a miss.
- 3:13:10Speaker 3: Ball game. He went with a high heat. Durant chased.
- 3:13:15Speaker 3: Smith strikes out the side and has the Major League
- 3:13:19Speaker 3: best 20 saves. Cleveland takes game one this weekend, 4-3.
- 3:13:25Speaker 3: And there you go. That's our Honda drive-at-home game summary.
- 3:13:31Speaker 3: Guardians a winner, 4-3 with four runs on 10 hits,
- 3:13:34Speaker 3: one error, five men left stranded. Three runs, 11 hits,

- 3:13:42Speaker 3: Samaniego took the loss. He falls to 0-3. The win
- 3:13:46Speaker 3: goes to Colin Holderman, who's now 3-0, Kate Smith, with

- 3:16:06Speaker 3: Guardians a winner tonight in downtown Cleveland as they beat
- 3:16:10Speaker 3: the Red Sox by a final score of 4-3. Let's
- 3:16:13Speaker 3: send it downstairs and hear from manager Stephen Vogt.
- 3:16:16Speaker 13: We've asked you about openers three times this week. I
- 3:16:19Speaker 13: know you guys game plan for it.
- 3:16:21Speaker 4: Here in Hoskins, these guys talk about being aggressive and
- 3:16:23Speaker 4: sticking to the game plan and being stubborn to it.
- 3:16:26Speaker 1: What does that say just about what they're learning and
- 3:16:29Speaker 1: seeing and how they're taking it out?
- 3:16:30Speaker 13: Yeah, I think, um, we learned a lot this last week,
- 3:16:32Speaker 13: getting two reps at it.
- 3:16:33Speaker 4: And, um, you know, obviously we were able to jump
- 3:16:36Speaker 4: them today and, you know, six straight hits in the first,
- 3:16:39Speaker 4: you're not going to get that very often. That doesn't
- 3:16:40Speaker 4: happen in the big leagues very often. So really pleased
- 3:16:43Speaker 4: with our bats in the first inning and, um, got
- 3:16:45Speaker 4: to get out to a lead.
- 3:16:46Speaker 13: Would you make it your bullpen and how they kind
- 3:16:48Speaker 13: of stay? They were unbelievable.
- 3:16:49Speaker 4: Um, you know, to cover four and two thirds in
- 3:16:53Speaker 4: any game is asking a lot in a one run game.
- 3:16:57Speaker 4: It's asking a ton and, uh, all of them were
- 3:16:59Speaker 4: lights out. They were all excellent.
- 3:17:01Speaker 13: And, um, it was just to my cap to our
- 3:17:04Speaker 13: bullpen tonight.
- 3:17:05Speaker 41: All right.
- 3:17:06Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 3:17:07Speaker 13: I haven't gotten an update, but, um, usually go and
- 3:17:11Speaker 13: check on him, but he was coming out. We don't
- 3:17:14Speaker 13: have an update right now.
- 3:17:17Speaker 34: When Cade Smith comes out, it's game over.
- 3:17:20Speaker 3: To have a guy like that at the back end, what.
- 3:17:23Speaker 13: Does that mean for the team? How much confidence is
- 3:17:24Speaker 13: there when he's out there?
- 3:17:26Speaker 4: We've been pretty blessed here for a while with that.
- 3:17:29Speaker 4: Cade has really taken to this new role. It's an
- 3:17:34Speaker 4: adjustment for anybody. Obviously, he wasn't at his best at
- 3:17:37Speaker 4: the beginning of the year, stuff-wise, but It's been pretty
- 3:17:40Speaker 4: fun to watch him the last month or so.
- 3:17:43Speaker 16: He's the first closer in baseball to 20 saves so
- 3:17:45Speaker 16: far this season.
- 3:17:46Speaker 1: How has he taken that and been able.
- 3:17:48Speaker 2: To run with it?
- 3:17:49Speaker 4: He's thrown a lot. We really love the one-run game. But, again,
- 3:17:55Speaker 4: that's something we need to get better with. It's great
- 3:17:57Speaker 4: love that Cade's got 20 saves. I hope he ends
- 3:17:59Speaker 4: up with as many as possible. But we need to
- 3:18:03Speaker 4: be better. We need to extend leads. Talk about staying
- 3:18:05Speaker 4: in one-run games and winning them. got to play really
- 3:18:08Speaker 4: good defense all over. I asked you during the game,
- 3:18:10Speaker 4: but just again, just the outfield defense. What does that,
- 3:18:12Speaker 4: what does that do for the pitchers? I mean, it
- 3:18:14Speaker 4: gives them confidence. Our pitchers can throw to contact. They
- 3:18:16Speaker 4: know the ball's going to get caught behind them. You know,
- 3:18:19Speaker 4: on health throws to play the game and you know, to,
- 3:18:22Speaker 4: to charge that ball and you know, ground balls don't
- 3:18:25Speaker 4: shoot through our infield very often. And to have the
- 3:18:27Speaker 4: wherewithal to be charging, come up and throw a strike
- 3:18:30Speaker 4: in the air. It was super impressive.
- 3:18:33Speaker 3: I know he played the corners in 24, but so
- 3:18:36Speaker 3: much time in center last year to, play more corners
- 3:18:39Speaker 3: than Shearer?
- 3:18:40Speaker 1: How has he moved over there?
- 3:18:42Speaker 13: It's been a lot of work by him. He put
- 3:18:44Speaker 13: in a lot of work this winter to work on
- 3:18:45Speaker 13: his first step, to work on his angles. He and
- 3:18:48Speaker 13: JT have worked together every day.
- 3:18:50Speaker 4: He's really owning this role of being able to play
- 3:18:52Speaker 4: both corner spots, particularly left field.
- 3:18:54Speaker 13: He has just been phenomenal out there.
- 3:18:56Speaker 4: It's not an easy left field to play with the
- 3:18:57Speaker 4: high wall, the angles, but he's really taken to it.
- 3:19:03Speaker 3: With the win, the Guardians now At 34-25, a full
- 3:19:07Speaker 3: nine games over the 500 mark, they could move into
- 3:19:10Speaker 3: a spot atop the American League Central by four games
- 3:19:14Speaker 3: over the White Sox. If the score in Chicago holds,
- 3:19:17Speaker 3: they were trailing the Tigers late. Meanwhile, in the American
- 3:19:21Speaker 3: League East, Boston slips to 23-33 on the season. They
- 3:19:24Speaker 3: are at the bottom. of the division. Game two of
- 3:19:28Speaker 3: the series, tomorrow afternoon, it's a 4-10 start. Parker Messick
- 3:19:33Speaker 3: for the Guardians, Sonny Gray for Boston. Should be a
- 3:19:37Speaker 3: good pitching matchup tomorrow afternoon on Austin Hedges' Jersey Giveaway Day. Again,
- 3:19:44Speaker 3: first pitch time, 4-10. Airtime for Guardians, warm-up 335. For
- 3:19:50Speaker 3: Tom Hamilton, this is Jim Rosenhouse reminding you, the final
- 3:19:53Speaker 3: score is From Progressive Field in downtown Cleveland, the Cleveland
