Speaker 1: Let's get into these crazy situations, awkward situations you've ever
• 0:03
Speaker 1: been in. I mean, sometimes it's just the wrong place
• 0:06
Speaker 1: at the wrong time.
• 0:06
Speaker 2: What are you going to do? R-A-4-2-5-4-7-0-7. Good morning, Al.
• 0:10
  Speaker 2: What's going on?
• 0:11
  Speaker 3: Good morning, Romeo.
• 0:12
  Speaker 2: Hey, what's up?
• 0:13
Speaker 3: So, my awkward situation is I had my first threesome
• 0:17
Speaker 3: when I was 45 years old.
• 0:19
Speaker 2: Your first threesome at 45, okay. Yeah, I was kind
• 0:22
  Speaker 2: of old.
• 0:23
Speaker 3: Anyway, so it was with my situationship and his girlfriend.
• 0:31
Speaker 3: And right in the middle of the threesome, it was
• 0:33
Speaker 3: like a light switch with her. She went off and
• 0:36
Speaker 3: started going off on him, and they started arguing and fighting.
• 0:40
  Speaker 1: Mind you.
• 0:41
Speaker 3: This person I've known half of my life, the man,
• 0:43
Speaker 3: but the girlfriend I don't, I have no clue about.
• 0:46
Speaker 3: So she got to get naked, naked in this. And
• 0:49
Speaker 3: we were almost there, but like I said, like a
• 0:51
Speaker 3: light switch, she went crazy. They started arguing and fighting
• 0:54
Speaker 3: or whatever. Story short, at the end of it, me
• 0:59
Speaker 3: and her end up in the ambulance driving to the
• 1:01
Speaker 3: hospital together. And mind you, I didn't fight in this,
• 1:04
Speaker 3: but I got her in it.
• 1:06
Speaker 2: How'd you get hurt?
• 1:08
  Speaker 4: Exactly right.
• 1:10
  Speaker 2: Wait, hold on.
• 1:12
Speaker 1: Was this her first threesome and that's why she was
• 1:14
  Speaker 1: tripping or what?
• 1:15
Speaker 2: Why did she start tripping?
• 1:17
Speaker 3: It was my first threesome, but they, from my understanding,
• 1:21
Speaker 3: they're a swinger couple. So I have no idea what that,
• 1:23
Speaker 3: we were all drunk. I can tell you that much.
• 1:25
Speaker 3: We were all drunk.
• 1:26
Speaker 2: Gosh, I hope so.
• 1:28
Speaker 3: I don't know how the heck this happened, but like
• 1:31
Speaker 3: I said, we ended up in the hospital.
• 1:33
  Speaker 2: Oh, that's hilarious.
• 1:34
Speaker 4: Riding in the ambulance.
• 1:35
Speaker 3: To get out. I was like, oh God, I don't
• 1:37
Speaker 3: even want to be here.
• 1:39
Speaker 2: So nobody got in on that night?
• 1:42
  Speaker 4: Um.
• 1:43
Speaker 3: Basically, no. It was a lot of touching and kissing
• 1:48
Speaker 3: and loving and all that stuff. Just, she spoiled that.
• 1:51
Speaker 3: She spoiled it for me.
• 1:52
Speaker 2: She ruined it for me.
• 1:55
Speaker 1: Well, hey, you can always try again.
• 1:57
Speaker 3: Maybe, maybe not. I don't know. I ended up in
• 2:01
Speaker 3: a boot. I can tell you this, how bad it got.
• 2:03
Speaker 3: I was in a boot for two weeks.
• 2:06
Speaker 2: Well, Well, I hope you get your threesome at some point.
• 2:10
Speaker 3: Well, within 50s, Romeo, I'm almost there. I'm almost there.
• 2:14
Speaker 2: Okay. Well, good luck with that. I hope it works
• 2:16
Speaker 2: out for you. Thanks for calling. Goodbye.
• 2:18
  Speaker 4: I mean....
• 2:21
Speaker 1: Oh, there's nothing worse, right, than thinking you're going to
• 2:24
Speaker 1: have a threesome and ending up in a hospital. Let's
• 2:26
Speaker 1: talk about these crazy situations that you've been into, right?
• 2:29
Speaker 2: You ever been in one?
• 2:29
  Speaker 4: Hey, Rome.
• 2:30
Speaker 2: I was at my sister's candlelight. Let's see.
• 2:34
Speaker 1: I was at my sister's candlelight, and my brother was
• 2:37
Speaker 1: trying to fight a guy who was not.
• 2:39
Speaker 2: The same color as us. He assumed.
• 2:42
Speaker 1: He assumed that the guy had something to do with
• 2:46
  Speaker 1: her death.
• 2:47
Speaker 2: I tried to stop him.
• 2:49
Speaker 1: Then he pulled out his gun on me and pulled
• 2:53
Speaker 1: the slide back to put a bullet in the chamber
• 2:56
Speaker 1: and told me to move out of the way. I
• 2:58
Speaker 1: told him, so you're going to pull out your gun
• 3:04
Speaker 1: on me because I'm not letting you fight this guy?
• 3:08
Speaker 1: So I step aside. They start fighting.
• 3:10
Speaker 2: Oh, my God. That's a crazy situation. Yo, Rome, I
• 3:17
Speaker 2: invited my good friend over to.
• 3:19
Speaker 1: Have some drinks and watch football game with his new
• 3:24
Speaker 1: trans girlfriend. Turns out I used to mess with her
• 3:27
Speaker 1: back in my single days. Now I'm afraid my wife
• 3:30
Speaker 1: will find out because now they talk a lot.
• 3:34
  Speaker 2: Since that day.
• 3:35
Speaker 1: It was so awkward, and now I'm scared my wife's
• 3:38
Speaker 1: going to find out I used to be bi. Well,
• 3:43
Speaker 1: I mean, small town things, you know, small town things
• 3:50
Speaker 1: happen in small towns.
• 3:51
Speaker 2: Hey, good luck with that, man. That's funny.
• 3:58
Speaker 1: Ever been in like a crazy situation, an awkward situation,
• 4:01
Speaker 1: maybe a bank robbery or a store being hot? I
• 4:03
Speaker 1: have a friend who was in a, I think it
• 4:05
Speaker 1: was a Payless Shoes and was getting robbed. He was
• 4:08
Speaker 1: in there buying shoes for a kid. Somebody came in
• 4:10
Speaker 1: and robbed the joint.
• 4:13
Speaker 2: Hey, Rome, this is Slick.
• 4:14
Speaker 1: I had a crazy moment going to the fast trip
• 4:16
Speaker 1: to gas up before work. And I go inside to pay.
• 4:19
Speaker 1: When I came back to my truck, some guy was
• 4:21
Speaker 1: just leaning on my truck.
• 4:23
Speaker 2: I told him, move. He said, is this your car?
• 4:25
Speaker 2: I said, yeah. Move now before I beat you up.
• 4:30
Speaker 1: And an old man walked up on him and hit,
• 4:34
Speaker 1: walked up on him. and hit me and told get
• 4:41
  Speaker 1: from up here.
• 4:42
  Speaker 4: What?
• 4:42
Speaker 2: It's like you're going to have to... How did that end?
• 4:45
Speaker 2: Hit you or hit him and told get from up here.
• 4:51
Speaker 2: I don't know what that... I don't know who got hit.
• 4:53
Speaker 1: You're going to have to text me what really happened.
• 4:56
  Speaker 2: Alrighty, 4254-727.
• 4:58
Speaker 1: Rome, when I was in my early 20s, I was
• 5:00
Speaker 1: at my girl's house, which she was living at her
• 5:03
Speaker 1: parents' and I was going... I was doing something to
• 5:06
Speaker 1: her sexually, and her dad walked in. It was super awkward.
• 5:10
Speaker 1: He asked his daughter, what are you doing? She just said,
• 5:13
Speaker 1: what do you think, and walked out.
• 5:15
  Speaker 2: Of the room.
• 5:16
Speaker 1: I was nervous as hell, and he just said, get, oh,
• 5:21
Speaker 1: it's time for you to go home.
• 5:24
Speaker 2: Dad, well, I can see that being a crazy situation.
• 5:29
  Speaker 2: All right, 8-4-2-5-4-7-7.
• 5:30
Speaker 1: What kind of crazy situations? Awkward situations.
• 5:34
Speaker 2: Have you been in?
• 5:35
Speaker 1: We're talking about some of the craziest, the awkward situations
• 5:38
Speaker 1: that you've been in.
• 5:39
Speaker 2: Hey, Rome, the old man. Oh, this is a follow
• 5:42
Speaker 2: up on something. The old man who pulled a gun. Oh,
• 5:46
  Speaker 2: pulled up.
• 5:47
Speaker 1: The old man that pulled up to get gas as well.
• 5:50
Speaker 1: He seen and heard him, heard him telling move. I
• 5:55
Speaker 1: guess the old man needed to relieve some frustration because
• 5:57
Speaker 1: he punched the dude that was at my truck.
• 6:01
  Speaker 2: And wouldn't move.
• 6:02
Speaker 1: Yeah, the old man was at least 60 plus. He
• 6:05
Speaker 1: punched the dude hard, moved after that. Oh, I see
• 6:08
Speaker 1: what you're saying. So the old man was helping you out, Slick.
• 6:11
Speaker 1: Is that what you're saying? Slick said he came out
• 6:14
Speaker 1: of the gas station. Some dude was on his truck
• 6:16
  Speaker 1: and wouldn't move.
• 6:18
  Speaker 3: Hey, Rome.
• 6:19
Speaker 2: It was my birthday.
• 6:20
Speaker 1: Me and my girl were getting ready to go have
• 6:23
Speaker 1: dinner right when we were going to leave. We decided
• 6:27
Speaker 1: to bust a quickie in the living room. She was
• 6:29
Speaker 1: on top of me. And her mom decided to vibe
• 6:36
Speaker 1: to the living room, hand me my birthday card, and
• 6:40
Speaker 1: tell us sorry. Hand me my birthday card and tells
• 6:44
Speaker 1: us sorry. Here you go. And now I hope you
• 6:47
Speaker 1: guys finish. Now my girl jumps off and felt so embarrassed.
• 6:52
  Speaker 2: Not me.
• 6:54
  Speaker 1: Gosh.
• 6:57
Speaker 2: Well, there you go. All right. I can see how
• 6:59
Speaker 2: that would be awkward for her. Oh my gosh, what
• 7:02
Speaker 2: do you send me here? Yo, Rome, check this one out.
• 7:04
Speaker 1: One of my exes did one of those dumbass loyalty
• 7:07
Speaker 1: tests on me. I was with her for two months
• 7:11
Speaker 1: in a relationship, knew her for six months. She hadn't
• 7:14
Speaker 1: met my family or anything. Well, yeah, I failed. Had
• 7:18
Speaker 1: her friend try to get at me. Well, girl power, right?
• 7:23
Speaker 1: So then we get caught, whatever. Me and the friend
• 7:27
Speaker 1: start talking. And like, actually, like that confrontation wasn't weird
• 7:35
Speaker 1: as it is. She starts telling me she can't wait
• 7:39
Speaker 1: to sleep with my brother. So I told her I
• 7:43
Speaker 1: can't wait till she does either. She gets in contact
• 7:47
Speaker 1: with me, with my bro. They plan a date for
• 7:51
Speaker 1: her to go over.
• 7:53
  Speaker 2: She walks.
• 7:54
Speaker 1: Let's see for her to go over. She walks over.
• 7:57
Speaker 1: Some of these text messages are long. She walks in
• 8:01
Speaker 1: and I'm waiting for her. Well, since I'm talking to
• 8:03
Speaker 1: her friend, she wants revenge on her friend, too. So
• 8:07
Speaker 1: we do it. My brother ends up in it anyway.
• 8:10
Speaker 1: A few hours later, fast forward current days. I'm with
• 8:13
Speaker 1: a friend and my ex is pregnant. Could be mine
• 8:17
Speaker 1: or my brother's. Not sure if anyone else is a possibility.
• 8:20
  Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
• 8:23
  Speaker 2: That's crazy. You're right.
• 8:25
Speaker 1: Crazy situations, man. Sometimes you just end up in one.
• 8:29
Speaker 1: Let's talk about these crazy situations or awkward situations you've
• 8:32
Speaker 1: ever been in, right? Uh, eight, four, two, five, four,
• 8:35
Speaker 1: seven to seven. Hey Rome, I was having a threesome
• 8:37
Speaker 1: in the almond orchards in Shafter.
• 8:40
Speaker 2: Cops pulled up on us. Now that was hella awkward.
• 8:46
Speaker 2: I know not for the cops. The cops have probably
• 8:48
Speaker 2: pulled up on a.
• 8:48
Speaker 1: Lot of, you know, people getting busy in the, um,
• 8:52
Speaker 1: In their cars. Hey, Rome. I got that girl, man.
• 8:59
Speaker 1: She didn't get none that night. I'll handle her. Oh,
• 9:01
Speaker 1: you're talking about poor girl.
• 9:03
Speaker 2: Poor girl. She said she was 45 years old.
• 9:05
Speaker 1: She was going to have her first threesome, but I
• 9:08
Speaker 1: guess the girlfriend started tripping and they both ended up
• 9:11
  Speaker 1: in the hospital.
• 9:11
Speaker 2: She ended up in a boot. Oh, that's too bad.
• 9:17
  Speaker 1: All righty.
• 9:18
Speaker 2: Four, two, five, four, seven, seven. Yo, Rome. What's the
• 9:21
Speaker 2: wildest situation you've ever been in?
• 9:25
  Speaker 4: Wow.
• 9:26
Speaker 2: I've been in a lot of wild situations. I think the.
• 9:32
Speaker 1: Craziest thing that really, and this is going to sound
• 9:35
Speaker 1: really stupid, but I think the craziest thing I've ever
• 9:39
Speaker 1: really been involved in was when I was on the res,
• 9:42
Speaker 1: when I lived on the res. See, back when I
• 9:45
Speaker 1: lived on the res, they grew a lot of pot.
• 9:49
Speaker 1: So we were like the biggest, our area was like
• 9:52
Speaker 1: the biggest pot producing area in the country. So uh,
• 9:57
Speaker 1: they would have these, these people called camp and camp
• 10:00
Speaker 1: would come in and they would fly helicopters around and
• 10:03
Speaker 1: look for patches. And when, uh, my uncle said some big,
• 10:07
Speaker 1: big patches on the res and it was no big
• 10:10
Speaker 1: deal for us to go with them to water.
• 10:11
Speaker 2: You know, we wouldn't water. I mean, obviously, but it.
• 10:14
Speaker 1: Was no big deal for us to be with our
• 10:16
Speaker 1: uncle's you know, our aunts and uncles on the reservation
• 10:19
Speaker 1: and them just going, hey, we got to stop by
• 10:21
Speaker 1: the patch and I'm going to, you know, I got to.
• 10:23
  Speaker 2: Water real quick.
• 10:24
Speaker 1: And as a kid, you just sit in the truck
• 10:26
Speaker 1: or sit, you know, sit in the bed of the truck.
• 10:28
Speaker 1: You wouldn't really do much. But when camp came, you
• 10:32
Speaker 1: just take off. You didn't take off in your truck.
• 10:34
Speaker 1: You just took off.
• 10:34
Speaker 2: Running because camp came in on helicopters and on foot.
• 10:39
Speaker 2: So that was kind of crazy.
• 10:41
Speaker 1: The first time I had to run out of a
• 10:43
Speaker 1: pot patch or weed patch was.
• 10:45
  Speaker 2: Kind of wild.
• 10:48
Speaker 1: The other thing that was funny, though, that was just crazy.
• 10:50
Speaker 1: This is crazy was when what camp would do is
• 10:54
Speaker 1: they would take all the weed that they collect and
• 10:56
Speaker 1: they'd put it, build a pile probably as high as a,
• 11:00
Speaker 1: I don't know, a two story building. And they would
• 11:03
Speaker 1: just light it on fire. Now, as kids, we were
• 11:06
Speaker 1: on our bikes. We could literally we'd go watch them
• 11:09
Speaker 1: light it on fire because it was cool to us, man.
• 11:13
Speaker 2: It was a big thing.
• 11:15
Speaker 1: Big, big fire, you know, probably, I don't even know
• 11:18
Speaker 1: how tall. And we would literally maybe be 40 yards
• 11:24
Speaker 1: from it, watching it, just sitting there, me and my cousin,
• 11:27
Speaker 1: just sitting on our bikes, cousins and friends, just watching
• 11:30
Speaker 1: all this weed burn. I'm pretty sure we were high
• 11:33
Speaker 1: by the time we went home. So, I mean, I've
• 11:36
  Speaker 1: been in.
• 11:37
Speaker 2: A lot of wild situations. Those are just two of
• 11:39
Speaker 2: the funniest, I guess. Hey, what's up, bro?
• 11:42
  Speaker 4: What up, man?
• 11:43
  Speaker 3: Uh-huh.
• 11:54
Speaker 5: And he really impatient. The food was taking too long.
• 11:58
Speaker 4: So he gets up, don't see anybody, walks all the
• 12:00
  Speaker 4: way into.
• 12:01
Speaker 2: The back, and the place is being robbed at gunpoint. Oh,
• 12:03
  Speaker 2: my God!
• 12:07
Speaker 4: Everybody in the back on the floor, all kind of stuff, man.
• 12:11
Speaker 2: Yeah, that sounds about right for Richmond and Oakland.
• 12:14
Speaker 4: Sure, Richmond and Oakland. Man, everything good.
• 12:17
  Speaker 3: My brother?
• 12:18
Speaker 2: Everything's amazing, man. I can't call it everything. Everything's really cool.
• 12:23
Speaker 4: Hey, that's right, man. Hey, well, you have a blessing, man.
• 12:25
Speaker 4: We play Southern City College this weekend. All right, brother.
• 12:30
  Speaker 2: What's up?
• 12:30
Speaker 5: Hey, we're celebrating our 28th year anniversary, man.
• 12:33
  Speaker 2: 28th year here?
• 12:34
  Speaker 5: 28 years, yep.
• 12:36
  Speaker 4: We've been together 28 years.
• 12:37
Speaker 2: Oh, that's awesome. That's awesome. Congratulations. You live in Eureka, though.
• 12:41
Speaker 2: What the hell are you going.
• 12:42
  Speaker 6: To do there?
• 12:43
Speaker 5: Hey, we headed to San Francisco, man.
• 12:46
Speaker 1: We're going to celebrate out there. I was going to say,
• 12:51
Speaker 1: you're going to go to the Smokehouse or whatever.
• 12:53
Speaker 2: I don't even know if they have that anymore up
• 12:55
Speaker 2: there in Fernvale. Oh, yeah.
• 12:57
  Speaker 4: I'm not sure.
• 12:57
Speaker 1: I'm going to go over to the pier and see
• 12:59
Speaker 1: about some type of, like, cruise or something.
• 13:02
  Speaker 3: All right.
• 13:02
Speaker 2: You guys have a good time.
• 13:04
  Speaker 4: All right.
• 13:05
Speaker 5: Bye. Good morning, y'all.
• 13:07
  Speaker 2: What's going on?
• 13:08
Speaker 5: Yeah, what up, Ron?
• 13:09
  Speaker 2: What up, brother?
• 13:11
Speaker 5: Hey, man, I was that guy that said the reason
• 13:13
Speaker 5: why you got the waffle was because you're a... Oh, yeah. Oh,
• 13:16
  Speaker 5: my gosh.
• 13:16
  Speaker 3: Oh, wow.
• 13:17
  Speaker 2: That's a good question.
• 13:18
  Speaker 4: No, not really.
• 13:18
Speaker 5: I mean, trips, weekend getaways, things like that.
• 13:21
Speaker 4: But nothing. I can't think of anything offhand. Really?
• 13:42
Speaker 5: You never got, like, free food.
• 13:44
Speaker 2: In the city? Well, I did free, yeah. I got
• 13:49
Speaker 2: free extra teas once at Los Hermanos. They helped me out. Yeah, probably.
• 13:58
Speaker 2: I mean, people have been, the biggest thing, we.
• 14:00
Speaker 1: Don't get it no more, is we used to get, like,
• 14:02
Speaker 1: free weekends in Vegas, hotel rooms, things like that. I mean,
• 14:08
Speaker 1: concert tickets, John, I mean, I get free, I got
• 14:10
Speaker 1: free concert tickets, been to free stuff all over the,
• 14:12
Speaker 1: you know, all over the state.
• 14:14
  Speaker 5: Yeah.
• 14:16
  Speaker 6: I do.
• 14:16
Speaker 2: So if it's something I want to see, yeah.
• 14:19
Speaker 1: I mean, the coolest thing, I guess the coolest thing
• 14:21
Speaker 1: that ever happened was one time I was in Vegas and, uh,
• 14:27
Speaker 1: Jay-Z was performing and we, uh, The promote or the
• 14:32
Speaker 1: Jay-Z's manager, whoever we dealt record label or something, hooked
• 14:35
Speaker 1: me up with VIP and Jay-Z had a special stage.
• 14:38
Speaker 2: With his own liquor and bar.
• 14:40
Speaker 1: And it was right in front of, you know, right
• 14:42
Speaker 1: behind all the seated area, wherever it was performing at.
• 14:45
Speaker 2: That was pretty cool.
• 14:47
Speaker 4: How long was that?
• 14:49
Speaker 2: Oh, that had to be 10 years ago. Maybe it's
• 14:51
  Speaker 2: been a while.
• 14:52
Speaker 5: Well, she was still a Beyonce.
• 14:54
Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. That's cool. Yeah, no, no, no, no.
• 14:59
  Speaker 1: That was fun.
• 15:00
  Speaker 2: I'm sure there's something.
• 15:02
Speaker 1: I mean, getting to go to Disneyland every year was great.
• 15:05
Speaker 1: A couple of times a year was always great. But,
• 15:07
Speaker 1: you know, it's hard to say.
• 15:08
Speaker 2: It's hard to say.
• 15:11
  Speaker 4: Oh, that's cool.
• 15:11
  Speaker 1: Yeah, man.
• 15:12
Speaker 4: I'm jealous of you, bro.
• 15:15
Speaker 5: I would like some free cheese.
• 15:17
Speaker 2: Don't ever be jealous of me. I'm just a fat DJ, bro.
• 15:20
  Speaker 4: You're good.
• 15:21
Speaker 2: All right, man. Thanks for calling. I mean, yeah, I mean,
• 15:26
  Speaker 2: there's a lot. I have to remember. I've done so
• 15:28
Speaker 2: much in my life.
• 15:30
Speaker 1: I could tell you a lot of cool stories about
• 15:33
Speaker 1: just because I'm me. I mean, I probably got some
• 15:36
Speaker 1: cooler stories because when I was a kid on the
• 15:38
Speaker 1: reservation and my dad was the tribal chairman, then what
• 15:42
  Speaker 1: I get, what I've.
• 15:43
Speaker 2: Gotten on the radio. Hey, Rome, what are you eating
• 15:44
Speaker 2: right now, bro? I was eating a banana and a
• 15:49
  Speaker 2: cup of coffee.
• 15:51
Speaker 1: Hey, damn, Rome, I think you have a stalker on
• 15:55
  Speaker 1: your hands.
• 15:56
  Speaker 4: Oh, no.
• 15:56
Speaker 2: Come on, man. I mean, let's be honest. Some people
• 16:03
  Speaker 2: you're fascinated.
• 16:03
  Speaker 3: By, man.
• 16:04
Speaker 2: You can do a lot of things. I've gotten to
• 16:05
Speaker 2: do a lot of things in my life. You know,
• 16:10
Speaker 2: it's what it is. Hey, Rome.
• 16:11
Speaker 1: I think we should have asked Romeo any question about
• 16:14
  Speaker 1: himself day. Yeah.
• 16:21
Speaker 2: Isn't that every day?
• 16:22
Speaker 1: People call me up all the time and ask me questions.
• 16:25
Speaker 2: That might just be every day I'm on the radio.
• 16:28
Speaker 1: Live from the Just Winged Studios, it's Romeo. Hey, Rome,
• 16:32
Speaker 1: when it's all said and done, when you walk away
• 16:35
Speaker 1: from this morning show, what do you want to be
• 16:38
Speaker 1: remembered for? What do you want your legacy to stay?
• 16:45
Speaker 2: That's far more deeper than me, bro. I don't have
• 16:49
Speaker 2: a legacy. I don't care. Dude, I'm just living my life. Yeah.
• 16:54
  Speaker 3: No, I don't.
• 16:56
Speaker 2: Nothing. I really don't care, man.
• 16:59
Speaker 1: I just do the show to have fun every morning and,
• 17:02
Speaker 1: you know, make sure people laugh. I'm not trying to
• 17:05
Speaker 1: solve the world's problems, man. They got people for that.
• 17:08
Speaker 1: There's people out there that want to have a legacy,
• 17:11
Speaker 1: and I just want to make sure that I just
• 17:15
Speaker 1: want to pay my mortgage, bro, and make sure they
• 17:18
Speaker 1: don't repo my car, to be honest with you.
• 17:21
Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't really have nothing, I guess. Nothing.
• 17:24
Speaker 1: It's not that serious for me. Life's not that serious
• 17:26
Speaker 1: for me. For some people it is, and good for them.
• 17:30
Speaker 1: good for them um yeah there you go not the
• 17:33
Speaker 1: answer you wanted but okay yo Rome your legacy I
• 17:37
Speaker 1: will remember is the Raiders songs I'll play a Raiders
• 17:41
Speaker 1: song oh yeah the Raiders didn't the.
• 17:44
Speaker 2: Raiders play last night or in their last preseason game
• 17:47
Speaker 2: I think um I think they did uh.
• 17:53
Speaker 1: Yeah, the Raiders songs. I got a new Raiders song, actually.
• 17:57
Speaker 1: Next week, does football start next week? I'll play it
• 17:58
Speaker 1: next week when football starts. Next Wednesday, I think, football begins, right?
• 18:02
Speaker 2: Hey, Rome, are you ready for some football or what? Well,
• 18:05
Speaker 2: I guess it starts next week, right? Oh, we're going
• 18:08
Speaker 2: to do Monday Night Football again. Just wing it.
• 18:11
Speaker 1: First Monday Night Football is... When was the first Monday
• 18:14
Speaker 1: Night Football game? Let me look at the date.
• 18:20
  Speaker 4: Two weeks?
• 18:21
  Speaker 6: One week?
• 18:22
Speaker 1: Wait, no, that's August. I've got to go to September.
• 18:24
Speaker 1: Hold on, let me go to September. Yeah, two weeks
• 18:28
Speaker 1: until Monday Night Football, right? Yeah, the 14th is the
• 18:31
Speaker 1: first Monday Night game. That's actually the Chiefs and the Broncos, right?
• 18:35
Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, the Chiefs and the Broncos. So, yeah,
• 18:37
Speaker 1: we're going to be at Just Winkin' again, hanging out,
• 18:39
Speaker 1: having a good time, checking out the golf simulators, having
• 18:41
Speaker 1: some drinks and wings. Rome, the Niners 18, the Raiders
• 18:45
Speaker 1: 12 yesterday. I saw the Raiders lost. Raiders lost to
• 18:51
Speaker 1: the Niners. 18-12, what was it, all field goals?
• 18:54
  Speaker 4: Jeez.
• 18:55
Speaker 2: Hey, Rome, they lost against the Niners. Well, they do suck.
• 19:01
Speaker 1: Hey, Rome, would you call yourself the voice of Bakersfield,
• 19:05
Speaker 1: like Big Boy is the voice of L.A.? You're the
• 19:07
Speaker 1: most famous morning show in Bakersfield.
• 19:09
Speaker 2: No, I wouldn't say all that.
• 19:14
Speaker 1: Just like I wouldn't say Big Boy was the voice
• 19:16
Speaker 1: of L.A., but, you know, it's.
• 19:18
Speaker 2: All a matter of perspective. But, no, not even close.
• 19:22
Speaker 2: I've just been here a long time. Yeah, no, not
• 19:26
  Speaker 2: at all.
• 19:26
Speaker 1: There's way bigger voices in Bakersfield than me. All right.
• 19:33
Speaker 2: All right, football. Football, football, football.
• 19:36
Speaker 1: Football starts on Wednesday the 9th, right? I don't know
• 19:39
Speaker 1: who the first game is, but, boy, they're dragging out NFL.
• 19:42
Speaker 1: I'm sorry about this. But if you're going to have
• 19:44
Speaker 1: games on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. Wait, let's say Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday,
• 19:52
Speaker 1: and Monday. That's too much football for me. They need
• 19:55
Speaker 1: to just go back to Sunday and Monday. I'm tired
• 19:58
Speaker 1: of Thursday. I'm sure Wednesday is just a one-off because
• 20:02
  Speaker 1: the season starts.
• 20:02
Speaker 2: But, man, they're dragging this out. It's ridiculous. Hey, good morning, Romeo.
• 20:08
  Speaker 2: You're such a good dude.
• 20:09
Speaker 1: So humble with all these nice comments being said about you.
• 20:13
Speaker 1: Just take them in. You'll be the next Art LeBeau
• 20:17
Speaker 1: of Bakersfield. By the way, what's the weather like in Bakersfield?
• 20:23
Speaker 1: It's raining here in Santa Cruz, Gilrod.
• 20:26
  Speaker 2: I don't know. It's like 90, right? Sunny and what?
• 20:31
Speaker 2: It was cloudy yesterday in Bakersfield. What's it like in.
• 20:36
Speaker 2: What is it going to be today?
• 20:37
  Speaker 3: Sunny?
• 20:37
Speaker 2: Oh, cloudy. Cloudy high 97.
• 20:39
Speaker 1: Gilrod. I wish I was in Santa Cruz right now. Although,
• 20:45
Speaker 1: I guess I wasn't mad yesterday. It was actually kind
• 20:47
  Speaker 1: of nice outside.
• 20:47
Speaker 2: Yeah. All right. Hartlebo. That'd be funny. I want to
• 20:53
Speaker 2: send a shout out to Lil Sleepy. She's my boo,
• 20:57
  Speaker 2: you know.
• 20:57
Speaker 1: Howdy to 4.1 Rhythm of the Valley. It's Romeo and Dr.
• 21:01
Speaker 2: Dev is here. VIP MD. He is our plastic surgeon,
• 21:05
  Speaker 2: reconstructive surgeon.
• 21:06
Speaker 1: He's the guy we go to to talk about what's
• 21:08
Speaker 1: going on in Bakersfield medically, what's going on in the
• 21:11
  Speaker 1: world medically.
• 21:11
  Speaker 2: Good morning, Dr.
• 21:12
  Speaker 1: Dev.
• 21:14
  Speaker 5: Good morning, Romeo.
• 21:15
  Speaker 2: How's everything going?
• 21:17
Speaker 4: It's good to be back. You know what? I'm going
• 21:19
Speaker 4: to tell you. I'm kind of glad summer's coming to
• 21:22
  Speaker 4: an end.
• 21:22
Speaker 6: And kids are going back to school because summers always
• 21:25
  Speaker 6: get crazy.
• 21:28
Speaker 2: Why do they get crazy, Dr.
• 21:30
Speaker 4: Dev? Because you know what happens is that travel comes up.
• 21:34
Speaker 5: People have activities. Kids have things.
• 21:37
Speaker 6: And, you know, kids grow up and then they go
• 21:39
  Speaker 6: off to.
• 21:39
Speaker 4: College, Romeo. And guess what?
• 21:41
Speaker 5: You got to make plans for.
• 21:42
  Speaker 1: That, right?
• 21:43
Speaker 2: Can I ask you a question, Dr. Dev, about travel?
• 21:49
Speaker 1: It seems like I always have family members who travel
• 21:52
  Speaker 1: to Texas.
• 21:53
Speaker 2: And when they come back, they're always sick.
• 21:58
Speaker 1: What is– is there something real to that of traveling
• 22:02
Speaker 1: and getting ill because you're somewhere else?
• 22:05
Speaker 2: Is that a real thing or am I just crazy?
• 22:07
  Speaker 5: Yeah.
• 22:08
  Speaker 3: No, no.
• 22:08
Speaker 5: Well, number one, I think you are crazy but in
• 22:11
Speaker 5: a good way. But no, no.
• 22:15
  Speaker 4: Listen, listen. Seriously.
• 22:16
Speaker 6: What it really is, Romeo, is that people travel and
• 22:20
Speaker 6: when they get on planes– The one.
• 22:22
Speaker 4: Thing that I've noticed people don't do very well, and
• 22:25
Speaker 4: that is hydrate and drink plenty of water.
• 22:29
Speaker 6: And that air, you know, the air dries people out.
• 22:32
Speaker 4: They're not ready for that.
• 22:33
Speaker 5: They're in close quarters with lots of other people. They're
• 22:36
Speaker 5: not ready for that. And I'm not telling people to
• 22:38
Speaker 5: be paranoid. That's not it.
• 22:39
Speaker 6: I'm just telling them is that, you know, they really.
• 22:42
Speaker 5: Have to prepare ahead of time.
• 22:43
Speaker 6: So here's one thing that I tell people all the
• 22:47
Speaker 6: time is, If you know you're getting on a plane
• 22:50
Speaker 6: ride that's more than an hour long or kind of
• 22:52
Speaker 6: any plane ride with people that you don't know, I
• 22:56
  Speaker 6: urge people, start.
• 22:57
Speaker 4: Drinking water the morning of for sure, number one. Number two,
• 23:02
Speaker 4: there are the immune boosters and stuff.
• 23:05
Speaker 5: It doesn't matter which one.
• 23:06
Speaker 6: I don't endorse any single one, but there's so many
• 23:09
Speaker 6: of them. out there, I encourage people to start on
• 23:11
Speaker 6: that a few days before. The other is I tell people,
• 23:15
Speaker 6: be regular with your bowel movements because that is underestimated too.
• 23:21
Speaker 6: If you're not regular, you become ill, you become dehydrated,
• 23:26
Speaker 6: and you're traveling, you're on a plane for two, three hours.
• 23:29
  Speaker 5: That's a problem. That's a problem.
• 23:31
Speaker 4: And so people have.
• 23:34
Speaker 6: To pay attention to these things. You don't just get
• 23:35
Speaker 6: on a plane and go. you have to be ready
• 23:38
Speaker 6: to go. And I think that is a really, really
• 23:41
Speaker 6: important part. The other and the last part is if
• 23:44
Speaker 6: you're feeling even a little not so well, then really
• 23:49
Speaker 6: plan ahead of time, you know, really plan ahead of time. People,
• 23:53
Speaker 6: people get on a plane and they're like, yeah, I
• 23:55
Speaker 6: don't feel so well, but I got to make this trip.
• 23:57
Speaker 5: Cause I paid for the ticket.
• 23:58
  Speaker 4: I get it.
• 23:59
Speaker 5: You know, I get it. People pay for tickets and
• 24:01
Speaker 5: they're not going to get the money back.
• 24:03
Speaker 6: That doesn't mean that you can't start taking care of
• 24:07
Speaker 6: yourself before you get on that plane.
• 24:09
Speaker 1: One of the things that you've all, all of the
• 24:11
Speaker 1: things that you said right now, are we all, we
• 24:13
Speaker 1: over here and we talk about, you know, you look
• 24:15
Speaker 1: at these teachers who are in schools with these kids who,
• 24:18
Speaker 1: who have germs and they get sick. But if these
• 24:20
Speaker 1: teachers protect themselves, they can make sure or help have
• 24:24
Speaker 1: a better chance of not getting sick. We always seem
• 24:26
Speaker 1: to blame somebody else, it seems like, when we catch
• 24:29
Speaker 1: a cold or when we catch something as opposed to going, well,
• 24:31
Speaker 1: maybe we should do some things to take care of
• 24:33
Speaker 1: ourselves and our immune system. Is that fair to say
• 24:36
Speaker 1: or is that not a fair statement?
• 24:37
  Speaker 3: That is.
• 24:39
Speaker 5: Really fair to say, Romeo, I think. And I think, again,
• 24:42
  Speaker 5: you know what?
• 24:43
Speaker 4: People don't say it enough.
• 24:44
Speaker 6: People don't look at themselves as a potential solution.
• 24:50
  Speaker 5: You know?
• 24:50
  Speaker 4: Yeah.
• 24:51
Speaker 6: Instead, what they want to do is look at, hey,
• 24:54
Speaker 6: you know, how can I push this off to somebody
• 24:57
Speaker 6: and figure out how then I can help myself.
• 25:01
Speaker 5: And I'm like, well, you know, you could.
• 25:03
Speaker 4: Have helped yourself even before this started.
• 25:05
Speaker 5: And that is, you know, be proactive.
• 25:08
  Speaker 4: That's all.
• 25:09
  Speaker 3: All right.
• 25:09
  Speaker 4: Dr.
• 25:09
  Speaker 2: Dev is here.
• 25:10
  Speaker 4: Dr.
• 25:11
Speaker 2: Dev is here. VIPMD.com.
• 25:12
  Speaker 1: Dr.
• 25:13
Speaker 2: Dev, we're going to talk to you a little bit more.
• 25:15
  Speaker 4: It's Romeo.
• 25:15
Speaker 2: It's Hot 94.1. Dr. Dev is here. He's our guy.
• 25:21
Speaker 1: We've been talking to him for decades about just medical,
• 25:24
Speaker 1: what's going on in our hometown and around the world
• 25:28
Speaker 1: just so, because there's trends with plastic surgery, reconstructive. Now
• 25:31
Speaker 1: he has a surgery center where he just does so much.
• 25:35
  Speaker 2: Good morning, Dr.
• 25:36
  Speaker 6: Dev.
• 25:37
  Speaker 4: Good morning, Romeo.
• 25:39
  Speaker 2: So let's talk about what's going on. What's new? What's
• 25:41
Speaker 2: happening in the field?
• 25:43
Speaker 4: Boy, I'll tell you what, Romeo.
• 25:46
Speaker 6: I'm always looking for different things and things that we
• 25:49
Speaker 6: need to learn from, including myself.
• 25:53
  Speaker 5: When I say we, I.
• 25:55
Speaker 4: Mean the royal we, right?
• 25:56
  Speaker 3: Oh, sure.
• 25:57
  Speaker 5: Absolutely.
• 25:57
  Speaker 2: Absolutely.
• 25:59
Speaker 6: I'll tell you, I've been spending so much time, so
• 26:03
Speaker 6: much time, and I mean probably now I can tell
• 26:06
Speaker 6: you is I've spent probably about.
• 26:10
Speaker 4: a year and a half, probably this will be two
• 26:12
Speaker 4: years studying peptides. Okay.
• 26:16
Speaker 6: And let me tell you why, because I hear so
• 26:18
Speaker 6: much about, I have patients that come to me and
• 26:20
Speaker 6: they all are interested and they all want to know
• 26:23
Speaker 6: what they can do, how they can do it. And
• 26:25
Speaker 6: you know, where they can get it the cheapest.
• 26:26
Speaker 5: And I'd be like, doc, I really want to get
• 26:28
Speaker 5: on this. I heard someone's on RETA, you know, like
• 26:30
  Speaker 5: that's just it.
• 26:31
Speaker 6: And, and, and now he's like, he's ripped, he's jacked,
• 26:34
Speaker 6: you know, all these things. And I'm like, okay, listen, let's,
• 26:37
Speaker 6: First of all, we're like in our 60s, so let's
• 26:40
Speaker 6: not use the word jack anymore. Let's talk about it.
• 26:49
  Speaker 4: That's funny.
• 26:51
Speaker 6: So I realize what I have to do is, and
• 26:55
Speaker 6: this is why I've waited so long to even talk
• 26:57
Speaker 6: to you about it live, is I need to educate
• 27:00
Speaker 6: myself about this first. There's so many scientific papers out there,
• 27:05
Speaker 6: so many literatures out there, or literature out there that's
• 27:08
Speaker 6: been written. There haven't been really a whole lot of
• 27:11
Speaker 6: books per se, but there sure is a lot of
• 27:13
Speaker 6: scientific literature. Guess where a lot of it comes from, Romeo?
• 27:16
Speaker 6: It comes from Russia, Eastern Bloc countries, right?
• 27:22
Speaker 4: In Europe. And I looked.
• 27:24
Speaker 5: At it and I'm like, wow, what is going on here?
• 27:27
Speaker 5: What is the deal?
• 27:28
Speaker 6: Well, it turns out that there have been scientists studying
• 27:32
Speaker 6: peptides for a very, very long time. And now we're
• 27:37
Speaker 6: starting to see it because.
• 27:38
  Speaker 4: It's hitting America.
• 27:40
Speaker 6: And athletes are finally saying, hey, you know, and I
• 27:43
Speaker 6: think the reason why it's happening is because people are migrating,
• 27:47
Speaker 6: people are traveling, athletes are traveling.
• 27:49
Speaker 4: And, you know, we're starting to see a blurring of
• 27:51
Speaker 4: the lines to some degree.
• 27:53
  Speaker 2: Oh, gotcha.
• 27:54
Speaker 6: What I'm getting at is there are so many different
• 27:56
Speaker 6: peptides out there and different categories of peptides.
• 28:00
Speaker 5: So I was hoping that I would at.
• 28:02
Speaker 6: Least, we could start the conversation by saying, look, there's
• 28:07
  Speaker 6: certain groups of.
• 28:08
Speaker 4: Peptides out there, and I'll tell you what they are, okay?
• 28:11
Speaker 4: We can go into specifics of them at some other time, but.
• 28:14
Speaker 6: Let me just start by glossing over it for now.
• 28:16
Speaker 6: There's the metabolic boosters and tissue repair. What that is
• 28:21
Speaker 6: is Metabolic boosters, those are peptides that help your body, say,
• 28:26
  Speaker 6: generate energy.
• 28:28
Speaker 5: So you feel like you have more energy.
• 28:30
  Speaker 2: Okay.
• 28:31
Speaker 6: There are peptides out there that basically repair tissue from
• 28:36
Speaker 6: heavy workouts and inflammation.
• 28:39
  Speaker 2: Okay.
• 28:40
Speaker 6: Then group two are the ones, and they're called the
• 28:44
Speaker 6: cellular energy and neuroprotection peptides. What those do, or those
• 28:50
Speaker 6: are actually targeted at fat cell breakdown, okay? And then
• 28:56
Speaker 6: the neuroprotection are the ones that actually keep your mind protected,
• 29:03
Speaker 6: your brain protected, but help boost certain production of certain
• 29:08
Speaker 6: cells in the brain.
• 29:10
  Speaker 4: Okay.
• 29:10
Speaker 2: Sounds like we all need that, but yeah.
• 29:12
Speaker 6: Yeah, kind of like that Bradley Cooper movie.
• 29:15
Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. Kind of like that. I know, talking about
• 29:18
Speaker 2: where he's smarter than everybody, yeah.
• 29:20
  Speaker 4: Yeah.
• 29:21
Speaker 6: And then the last, which is group three, is what
• 29:24
Speaker 6: we call longevity and immune rejuvenation.
• 29:27
  Speaker 2: Okay.
• 29:27
  Speaker 3: Okay.
• 29:28
Speaker 6: And those group of peptides help restore immune function, and
• 29:33
Speaker 6: they maximize your metabolic output, and that goes back to
• 29:36
  Speaker 6: energy production again.
• 29:38
  Speaker 4: Okay? Okay.
• 29:39
  Speaker 5: And so.
• 29:40
  Speaker 3: Okay.
• 29:41
Speaker 5: And so you're going to have a combination of all these.
• 29:44
Speaker 6: People call them stacking, so they use one peptide from
• 29:47
Speaker 6: each of those three categories.
• 29:48
Speaker 5: And they take those.
• 29:50
Speaker 6: And, you know, they don't have any physician direction to this.
• 29:54
Speaker 6: The FDA doesn't regulate or has not approved any of these.
• 29:58
Speaker 6: And so, you know, I realize, I'm like, God, I really,
• 30:01
Speaker 6: really need to start informing people.
• 30:04
  Speaker 4: Sure.
• 30:05
Speaker 6: You know, talk to your doctor, get some scientific evidence.
• 30:09
Speaker 6: And before you start taking this, you know, you're going
• 30:11
Speaker 6: to come across people that are selling them online. If
• 30:14
Speaker 6: you notice one thing that you're going to come across
• 30:17
Speaker 6: is it says it right on the vials.
• 30:19
Speaker 4: Research purposes only, no human use, no animal use.
• 30:23
  Speaker 6: Sure.
• 30:23
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 30:24
  Speaker 6: Right.
• 30:24
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 30:25
Speaker 6: Now people see this Romeo and they still order them.
• 30:29
Speaker 2: Well, you know, they, they, everybody wants a wonder drug.
• 30:33
  Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah.
• 30:35
Speaker 6: And so, you know, again, I always tell people I
• 30:39
Speaker 6: admire people for wanting to get in better shape and
• 30:43
Speaker 6: to take better care of themselves.
• 30:45
  Speaker 5: It's really, really, I mean, I really like that. I
• 30:48
  Speaker 5: really do.
• 30:49
Speaker 4: But I want people to do it safely.
• 30:51
Speaker 2: And you can do it safely. These peptides that are
• 30:54
Speaker 2: out there, you can do it safely with.
• 30:56
  Speaker 5: Them, right?
• 30:57
Speaker 4: You can, Romeo. I just want people to get.
• 31:00
Speaker 6: The advice of their physician and have the physician involved
• 31:03
Speaker 6: at some point. Then they can take it to the
• 31:06
  Speaker 6: next level.
• 31:07
Speaker 1: I think it's getting to the point, though, where you
• 31:09
Speaker 1: have to have this conversation with your patients now because
• 31:11
Speaker 1: it's becoming such a trend or so widely used without
• 31:16
  Speaker 1: any oversight, right?
• 31:18
  Speaker 5: Yeah, right, right.
• 31:19
Speaker 4: That's exactly right. You know, that's my concern.
• 31:22
  Speaker 2: All right, Dr.
• 31:23
  Speaker 5: Dev.
• 31:24
  Speaker 3: Dr.
• 31:24
Speaker 2: Dev, he has a surgery center over there on, what
• 31:27
Speaker 2: is it, Buck Owens? You're off of Buck Owens, by
• 31:29
Speaker 2: the way. Buck Owens. Heart Hospital. Select Avenue. You can
• 31:33
Speaker 2: check him out. You can give him a call, Dr.
• 31:34
  Speaker 6: Dev.
• 31:34
  Speaker 2: What's your.
• 31:37
  Speaker 4: Number?
• 31:38
  Speaker 6: 327-2101.
• 31:38
Speaker 2: And one of the important.
• 31:39
Speaker 1: Things that you need to understand, he does have a
• 31:41
Speaker 1: surgery center, which there's a lot of things that can
• 31:44
Speaker 1: be done that are in and out nowadays that didn't.
• 31:46
Speaker 2: Used to be. very safely, quickly.
• 31:50
Speaker 1: I won't say quickly, but safely, and you can be
• 31:52
Speaker 1: in and out, you know, and get very good care.
• 31:55
Speaker 2: Dr. Dev, we'll talk to you next week, right? You're
• 31:57
  Speaker 2: back in business?
• 31:58
  Speaker 6: You're around?
• 31:59
Speaker 2: You're working hard again?
• 31:59
  Speaker 5: Yep, yep.
• 32:01
Speaker 2: Well, let's just say I'm working. So.
• 32:05
  Speaker 1: All right, Dr.
• 32:06
Speaker 2: Dev, we'll talk to you next week.
• 32:08
  Speaker 4: Okay, Romeo.
• 32:09
Speaker 2: All right. It's not 94.1. Hey, Rome, I love peptides,
• 32:13
Speaker 2: and I've never felt better.
• 32:16
Speaker 1: Then how I feel currently, energized, down on weight, put
• 32:20
Speaker 1: on some muscle, etc. My current weekly stack, Romeo. Okay,
• 32:26
  Speaker 1: so you're on, I don't understand peptides.
• 32:29
Speaker 2: I know Dr. Dev just explained them all to us.
• 32:34
Speaker 1: GLP-1, growth peptides, recovery peptides, antioxidants, energy, longevity.
• 32:43
  Speaker 2: Information support.
• 32:44
Speaker 1: You're on all these peptides Monday through Sunday.
• 32:48
  Speaker 2: No peptides.
• 32:51
  Speaker 5: Morning.
• 32:51
Speaker 2: You're taking a lot of peptides, bro.
• 32:54
Speaker 1: How can anybody afford all that?
• 32:59
Speaker 2: That's wild. Well, they're getting popular.
• 33:02
  Speaker 3: I mean, Dr.
• 33:03
Speaker 2: Dev's telling you, you know, they're getting there.
• 33:05
Speaker 1: Already 4-2-5-4, 7-7, Rome. Are you excited yet about football?
• 33:11
Speaker 2: It starts on Wednesday. Football starts on Wednesday.
• 33:16
  Speaker 4: I am.
• 33:18
Speaker 2: Not necessarily excited about football.
• 33:23
Speaker 1: I'm sure when Wednesday comes. No, it starts next Wednesday, right?
• 33:26
Speaker 1: This football start doesn't start this Wednesday, does it? When
• 33:30
  Speaker 1: does football start?
• 33:33
Speaker 2: Schedule. The first game is what? A week one is.
• 33:41
Speaker 2: Oh, the first game is Wednesday, September 9th. So we
• 33:44
Speaker 2: got two weeks for football, right? Yeah, no, I'm good.
• 33:48
Speaker 1: Live from the Just Wing It studios, Rome, it's Headbutt Raider. Bro,
• 33:51
Speaker 1: I'm dying. Wife and I went out last night to
• 33:54
Speaker 1: watch the stupid game before I knew it was... We
• 33:57
Speaker 1: were bar hopping until they kicked us out at closing
• 34:01
  Speaker 1: around 2 a.m. We didn't stop drinking until 5 a.m. But, hey,
• 34:05
Speaker 1: I'm still at work. My girl can't party.
• 34:08
  Speaker 2: I can hang.
• 34:09
Speaker 1: My girl can't party, can't hang anymore.
• 34:16
Speaker 2: Oh, it's Headbutt Raider. Yeah, man. I mean, it happens. Hey,
• 34:19
Speaker 2: it happens, right? It happens. So, yesterday... I got a
• 34:25
Speaker 2: phone call from a friend of mine, him and his wife.
• 34:29
Speaker 2: They're kind of kinky. Well, I don't know if you
• 34:31
  Speaker 2: call them kinky.
• 34:32
Speaker 1: I guess swinging, swingers, and some of that kinky lifestyle
• 34:37
Speaker 1: is just not as accepted. I don't know if it's
• 34:43
Speaker 1: not accepted in society as it should be or you
• 34:49
Speaker 1: think it is or maybe just not by certain people, but.
• 34:53
Speaker 2: He lost his job. yesterday.
• 34:57
Speaker 1: Yesterday, they fired him from his job because somebody at
• 35:01
Speaker 1: his office had found that him and his wife started
• 35:03
Speaker 1: a social media site, maybe a YouTube channel or something,
• 35:08
Speaker 1: Instagram or something. They started a social media site of
• 35:12
Speaker 1: them going to the different swingers clubs that they go to. Now,
• 35:18
Speaker 1: they've always been kinky. I've known them for 20 years.
• 35:21
Speaker 1: They've always been into some of the kink, whatever kinky
• 35:26
Speaker 1: is to you, and swinging. But they've never told anybody
• 35:30
Speaker 1: about it. They were real private about it. But they
• 35:35
Speaker 1: said they were going to put it on social media,
• 35:38
  Speaker 1: I guess, start a site. I don't know if they're
• 35:39
Speaker 1: trying to make money off it. I don't know what
• 35:40
Speaker 1: their plan was. Either way, somebody found out about it
• 35:45
Speaker 1: at the office, told the boss. The boss didn't like it.
• 35:47
Speaker 2: The company doesn't like it, so they got rid of him.
• 35:50
  Speaker 2: And he's mad about it. I don't know if there's
• 35:52
Speaker 2: any legal repercussions about it. He was calling.
• 35:55
Speaker 1: That's why he was calling me. Because we have another
• 35:57
Speaker 1: friend who's a lawyer. And he was asking for his
• 35:59
  Speaker 1: phone number.
• 36:00
  Speaker 2: He lost it.
• 36:02
Speaker 1: But I don't know that there is, right? I had
• 36:06
Speaker 1: to listen to him tell me how it was wrong. Well,
• 36:08
Speaker 1: you put yourself out there. His process, well, that's his
• 36:12
Speaker 1: personal life. Not his work life.
• 36:14
Speaker 2: He's never done anything at the job. But heck, that's
• 36:18
Speaker 2: the world we live in today, right? It carries over.
• 36:19
  Speaker 5: I just.
• 36:22
Speaker 2: I didn't know what to tell him. Maybe you shouldn't
• 36:24
Speaker 2: have put your life out there.
• 36:25
Speaker 1: People used to hide stuff. I mean, people did used
• 36:27
Speaker 1: to keep things secret, even though they were, you know,
• 36:30
Speaker 1: now you want to make it public. R-D-4-2-5-4-7-7. Rome, do
• 36:34
Speaker 1: you think it's right that a job should fire somebody
• 36:39
Speaker 1: like you just said about your buddy getting fired because
• 36:42
Speaker 1: of his personal life?
• 36:44
Speaker 2: I don't know. I mean, what are you going to do?
• 36:46
Speaker 2: You put your life out there. I don't know. It's like,
• 36:53
Speaker 2: you know, I mean, you kind of deserve what you get, right?
• 36:57
Speaker 1: If you put your life out there on the Internet,
• 36:59
Speaker 1: you can't expect there not to be accountability and consequences.
• 37:04
Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know if him and his wife
• 37:05
Speaker 1: being swingers is enough to lose your job over. I mean,
• 37:11
Speaker 1: it's pretty kind of normal. I remember when that stuff, though,
• 37:14
Speaker 1: was taboo. I remember living in a time when, you know,
• 37:18
Speaker 1: swinging was, you know.
• 37:20
Speaker 2: You kept it secret. But nowadays, I don't know. I mean,
• 37:25
Speaker 2: I don't know. What are you going to do?
• 37:27
Speaker 6: I just want to make a comment on the thing
• 37:31
  Speaker 6: about swingers.
• 37:32
Speaker 3: Two things. You shouldn't have put his business out there.
• 37:34
  Speaker 5: And secondly, there's a thing.
• 37:35
Speaker 4: Called at-will employees. Sure.
• 37:39
Speaker 5: You can lose your job for any reason, no reason.
• 37:42
Speaker 2: I think California is at-will, right? I think California is at-will.
• 37:45
Speaker 2: That's correct. Yeah, I mean, sure. I get it. I just,
• 37:49
  Speaker 2: you know, I mean, I don't know.
• 37:52
Speaker 1: Swinging to me is so common nowadays that it just is.
• 37:57
Speaker 1: It's not as common as it was 20 years ago.
• 37:59
Speaker 1: I mean, it was probably just as common, but it
• 38:00
Speaker 1: wasn't out there as it was 20 years ago.
• 38:02
Speaker 2: Well, there it is right there. Yeah, I get you.
• 38:05
Speaker 2: I mean, he's got to deal with it.
• 38:07
Speaker 1: But I think they were starting a site, you know,
• 38:10
Speaker 1: to show like a TikTok or something where they were
• 38:12
Speaker 1: going to swingers clubs. There's a lot of swingers clubs
• 38:16
Speaker 1: throughout the United States. So I think that's what they
• 38:18
Speaker 1: were doing. So I don't know, but I get what
• 38:20
  Speaker 1: you're saying.
• 38:21
  Speaker 4: I get it.
• 38:22
  Speaker 2: All right, man.
• 38:23
  Speaker 1: Later.
• 38:23
Speaker 2: I mean, it just, what are you going to, I mean,
• 38:25
  Speaker 2: it just, I don't know.
• 38:31
Speaker 1: I mean, you want to put your life out there
• 38:34
Speaker 1: on the internet, and there's, I guess there's accountability now
• 38:37
Speaker 1: for it. There's no accountability for accuracy and facts. I mean,
• 38:42
  Speaker 1: that's more, that's more concerning.
• 38:48
Speaker 2: Than anything else. Yo, Rome.
• 38:50
Speaker 1: California is an at-will state, so while anyone can sue
• 38:53
Speaker 1: anyone for anything, your employer technically doesn't need a reason
• 38:56
  Speaker 1: to fire you.
• 38:57
Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, that's what somebody just called about. I get it.
• 39:00
Speaker 1: He's just upset about it. But, I mean, I've known
• 39:03
Speaker 1: this guy for a long time. I've known his wife
• 39:05
Speaker 1: for a long time. They've been doing kinky and they've
• 39:09
Speaker 1: been swingers and doing kinky fetish-like stuff.
• 39:12
Speaker 2: In their marriage for decades, right?
• 39:16
Speaker 1: Ever since they met, they were both kind of freaky
• 39:18
Speaker 1: in college with each other.
• 39:19
Speaker 2: Maybe that's why they liked each other so much.
• 39:21
  Speaker 1: I mean, but.
• 39:23
Speaker 1: Once you start putting it out there, I don't know
• 39:25
Speaker 1: if what they were... I haven't seen it, what they
• 39:27
Speaker 1: were doing. But uh, I don't think they were doing
• 39:30
Speaker 1: actually sexual stuff. I think they were, it was pretty tame.
• 39:34
  Speaker 1: I believe, I don't know, but I mean, what are
• 39:37
Speaker 1: you going to do, man? You want to put yourself
• 39:38
Speaker 1: out there and then get mad when somebody says something
• 39:42
Speaker 1: about you, you know, I mean, that's on you. So,
• 39:48
Speaker 1: I mean, what do you want me to say about it?
• 39:51
Speaker 1: You know, maybe if you're not prepared for the consequences
• 39:54
Speaker 1: of putting yourself on the internet, maybe you shouldn't put
• 39:56
Speaker 1: yourself on the internet.
• 39:57
Speaker 2: Hey, good morning, Romeo.
• 39:58
  Speaker 3: Nah, brah.
• 39:59
Speaker 1: Just have some swinger-friendly business owners call and find your
• 40:03
  Speaker 1: boy a job.
• 40:04
Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, he'll be fine. It's not.
• 40:08
Speaker 1: He's... What he does in his life is... He'll be fine.
• 40:12
Speaker 1: Don't worry about it.
• 40:14
Speaker 2: But... He's upset about it.
• 40:15
Speaker 1: He thinks that his personal life and his business life
• 40:18
Speaker 1: are two totally separate things.
• 40:19
Speaker 2: That's what he's mad about. And so he.
• 40:24
Speaker 1: Thinks it's nobody's business. Well, it becomes your business once
• 40:27
Speaker 1: you put it out on the Internet. And I'm just
• 40:30
Speaker 1: telling you guys a story. A friend of mine got
• 40:31
Speaker 1: fired from his job because he started some sort of site,
• 40:37
Speaker 1: some sort of Instagram page or TikTok or Facebook or
• 40:41
Speaker 1: something with him and his wife going to swingers clubs.
• 40:45
Speaker 2: And that's probably kind of a.
• 40:47
Speaker 1: Niche, you know, site for people to watch. But somebody
• 40:50
Speaker 1: at the office found out about it and snitched on him,
• 40:53
Speaker 1: told the boss. So he lost his job yesterday. And
• 40:56
Speaker 1: he was telling me about it, kind of complained about it.
• 41:00
Speaker 1: And a little bit of it, it's an interesting thing
• 41:03
Speaker 1: to talk about because he feels that his business, he
• 41:06
Speaker 1: was good at his job. And he was, I'm going
• 41:11
Speaker 1: to say this, though, about that. You weren't good enough
• 41:18
Speaker 1: at your job because if you were really good at
• 41:22
Speaker 1: your job and the boss really liked you, he wouldn't
• 41:27
  Speaker 1: have fired you.
• 41:29
Speaker 2: They would have overlooked it. It would have went away.
• 41:30
Speaker 1: He would have said, don't do it anymore, and it
• 41:33
Speaker 1: would have disappeared because everything turns over so quickly nowadays
• 41:37
Speaker 1: that everybody would have forgot about it. So somebody didn't
• 41:42
Speaker 1: like you, first of all, is what I think. That's
• 41:45
Speaker 1: the biggest reason I think he got fired. Not because
• 41:47
Speaker 1: him and his wife. Because they've been into this. I've
• 41:50
Speaker 1: known them as a couple for, I think, probably 25 years.
• 41:54
Speaker 1: Maybe a little longer. And they've always been into it.
• 41:57
Speaker 2: We've all known. All our friend group has known they've
• 41:59
  Speaker 2: been into it.
• 42:00
  Speaker 4: And....
• 42:03
Speaker 2: They just didn't say anything about it.
• 42:06
  Speaker 6: Or.
• 42:07
Speaker 1: Go full steam ahead. Try to be, you know, swinger
• 42:09
  Speaker 1: content creators.
• 42:10
Speaker 2: Whatever these people are.
• 42:13
  Speaker 4: So.
• 42:14
Speaker 2: But yeah, I don't disagree with you.
• 42:16
Speaker 1: There's a niche there for you to make some money,
• 42:19
Speaker 1: probably on the internet. But the problem is with him
• 42:25
Speaker 1: and with all these other people who want to be
• 42:27
Speaker 1: internet famous and have jobs, real careers, is you don't
• 42:33
Speaker 1: want to be held accountable for what you do on
• 42:34
Speaker 1: the internet? I mean, there's really not a lot of
• 42:37
Speaker 1: accountability for lying, for not fact-checking.
• 42:41
Speaker 2: On the internet, you know? So, I mean, it's hard
• 42:47
  Speaker 2: for me.
• 42:47
Speaker 1: To have compassion for any of these internet people because
• 42:52
Speaker 1: I've been dealing with this for 30 years before the
• 42:55
Speaker 1: internet existed, you know? So, I don't care what you
• 43:02
Speaker 1: guys do. That's just, what do you want me to
• 43:04
Speaker 1: tell you? If you're not able to hold yourself back,
• 43:09
Speaker 1: and understand there's an accountability to what you put out
• 43:12
Speaker 1: on the Internet, well, what do you want me to
• 43:16
  Speaker 1: tell you?
• 43:17
  Speaker 2: Rd425477, Rome, you're right.
• 43:19
Speaker 1: This is the world we live in, so tell him
• 43:21
Speaker 1: to play the game. Tell him, say he is a
• 43:26
Speaker 1: bisexual and identified as them. The termination will be discrimination
• 43:31
  Speaker 1: and hate crime.
• 43:32
  Speaker 2: He'll get out, he'll get a fat check. Yeah, I
• 43:36
Speaker 2: don't know if that's going to work out, but okay.
• 43:39
Speaker 1: He's got to find a lawyer that's going to do that, right?
• 43:41
Speaker 1: I want to talk about marriage and marriage registries because
• 43:45
Speaker 1: I got invited to a wedding I have to go
• 43:48
Speaker 1: to next weekend. And I've always told you, weddings are stupid.
• 43:54
Speaker 1: I mean, they're just, they're not for, nobody cares. All
• 43:57
Speaker 1: these people come to watch you get married and they
• 44:00
Speaker 1: don't want to be there.
• 44:01
Speaker 2: It's self-indulgent, but hey, they are what they are. We
• 44:04
Speaker 2: got to go. We got to go, you know, support
• 44:08
Speaker 2: our friends. or family. So I went to the registry
• 44:15
Speaker 2: to see what they wanted.
• 44:17
Speaker 1: And I'm going through it, I'm going through it, some
• 44:20
Speaker 1: of the stuff they look like they need, but one
• 44:22
Speaker 1: of the things I saw was an asparagus holder, asparagus dish.
• 44:29
Speaker 2: Who in the hell needs a dish for asparagus? I'm
• 44:33
  Speaker 2: just curious.
• 44:34
Speaker 1: And I just think it's so ridiculous that Some of
• 44:38
Speaker 1: the idiotic things that you register for because you want
• 44:43
Speaker 1: somebody else to buy you something for an event they
• 44:49
Speaker 1: don't want to go to. You've just wasted their entire day.
• 44:52
Speaker 1: And now you want me to buy you something so
• 44:57
Speaker 1: ridiculous because it's my money and not yours. How do
• 45:02
Speaker 1: you guys handle this registry thing when it comes to weddings? Now, obviously,
• 45:07
Speaker 1: I'm not going to buy him some stupid asparagus dish, okay?
• 45:12
Speaker 1: But people, the things that you register for are so
• 45:17
Speaker 1: stupid and just so idiotic. One of my cousins got
• 45:20
Speaker 1: married a few years ago. This was about 10 years ago.
• 45:25
Speaker 2: They said, no gifts, just chip in on their honeymoon.
• 45:30
Speaker 1: And I was like, no. Luckily for me, It was
• 45:35
Speaker 1: one of my cousins, so my mom went. And my
• 45:39
Speaker 1: mom's head of the household, she actually bought him a gift.
• 45:43
Speaker 2: And she just threw all the kids' names on it.
• 45:45
Speaker 1: But there was no way in heck she was going
• 45:47
Speaker 1: to buy a chip in on their honeymoon.
• 45:51
  Speaker 2: You know?
• 45:52
Speaker 1: I just think that's so stupid.
• 45:58
  Speaker 2: I just....
• 46:00
Speaker 1: Some of the things that you guys do when you
• 46:02
Speaker 1: register for gifts... It's just so absurd.
• 46:06
Speaker 2: And I know why. It's because somebody else's... You would never.
• 46:09
Speaker 1: Nobody in their right mind would ever go buy an
• 46:12
Speaker 1: asparagus dish with their own money. But because of the
• 46:17
Speaker 1: silly tradition of we got to buy you a gift
• 46:19
Speaker 1: after you ruined our entire day for your wedding, you
• 46:24
Speaker 1: put an asparagus dish on your registry or a bread
• 46:28
Speaker 1: maker or something stupid that you're never going to use.
• 46:31
Speaker 2: I mean, how many of you right now.
• 46:34
Speaker 1: In your house, have something that somebody bought you for
• 46:37
Speaker 1: a wedding gift that you don't use.
• 46:40
Speaker 2: And you registered, you wanted it. R-D-4-2-5-4-7-7. Hey, what's up, Rome? Hey,
• 46:48
  Speaker 2: what up, Roman?
• 46:49
  Speaker 5: Rome, asparagus dish?
• 46:52
Speaker 2: Something, yeah. You put asparagus on, it's a long dish.
• 46:55
Speaker 4: You know what, Rome?
• 46:55
Speaker 1: If that's what they want, if I was you, I'd
• 46:57
Speaker 1: go to Ross and grab them one.
• 46:59
  Speaker 5: They're probably like $ 8 at Ross.
• 47:00
  Speaker 2: No.
• 47:02
Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
• 47:02
Speaker 5: I say, this is what you wanted.
• 47:04
  Speaker 4: Nope.
• 47:05
  Speaker 3: Nope.
• 47:05
Speaker 2: I'm doing it. Hell no. That's just stupid.
• 47:08
  Speaker 4: I know it's dumb.
• 47:09
  Speaker 6: It's dumb.
• 47:10
Speaker 5: It's kind of like when you go to a barbecue,
• 47:11
Speaker 5: like I was at my friend's barbecue, and I told
• 47:14
Speaker 5: my bro, you need a tray for the meat.
• 47:15
Speaker 4: And he's like, oh, my.
• 47:16
Speaker 5: Wife has to wash out a tray. I'm like, dude,
• 47:18
Speaker 5: just throw it on a damn plate. Wrap it with foil.
• 47:21
Speaker 5: He's like, no, it has to go on a solid tray.
• 47:23
  Speaker 5: I'm like, huh?
• 47:25
Speaker 2: I never heard of that.
• 47:25
  Speaker 4: But okay.
• 47:27
Speaker 5: That's weird to me.
• 47:27
Speaker 4: We'll throw it on just foil if we have to.
• 47:30
Speaker 3: You know what I mean? Sure.
• 47:31
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 47:32
Speaker 5: But that's crazy to ask for that for your wedding.
• 47:34
Speaker 2: Yeah, that's just stupid. That's just stupid.
• 47:37
Speaker 5: Are they comedy or what the hell?
• 47:39
  Speaker 4: No.
• 47:40
Speaker 2: I got to go. See you later, bro. All right. 8-4-2-5-4-7-7.
• 47:44
Speaker 1: An asparagus dish. Yeah, it's basically a longer butter dish
• 47:47
  Speaker 1: with a lid.
• 47:48
Speaker 2: It's so stupid. I am not buying that for them.
• 47:50
Speaker 2: All right. I hope nobody does. R-A-4-2-5-4-7-7-8, Rome.
• 47:56
Speaker 1: My wife and I got married 10 years ago in
• 47:59
Speaker 1: the garage to this day, in the box, not even opened.
• 48:05
Speaker 1: We have an ice cream maker. All it does is
• 48:07
Speaker 1: take a room. Why my wife wanted it when we
• 48:09
Speaker 1: got married, I have no idea. But yeah, I know
• 48:13
Speaker 1: what you're talking about, Rome. Yeah, and I... Who's making
• 48:16
Speaker 1: ice cream? That's just stupid, too. You guys, when you register,
• 48:19
Speaker 1: you guys are just idiots.
• 48:20
Speaker 6: Hey, Romeo, so you guys are talking about wedding gifts?
• 48:24
  Speaker 2: Yeah, wedding gifts.
• 48:27
Speaker 3: That sounds like a cheap one.
• 48:28
Speaker 5: That sounds like you got off easy.
• 48:29
Speaker 6: That might not be that expensive.
• 48:31
  Speaker 1: I don't give a damn about the money. I'm not
• 48:33
Speaker 1: going to buy somebody something they don't use. That's just stupid.
• 48:36
Speaker 1: What is wrong with you guys? You guys are so,
• 48:38
Speaker 1: you guys are losers.
• 48:39
Speaker 2: You and Ruben are idiots. I'm sorry. You guys are
• 48:41
Speaker 2: just cheap idiots. I mean, it's not the point.
• 48:46
Speaker 4: I got married two years ago and everybody just gave
• 48:49
Speaker 4: us money. And the crazy thing is it's been two
• 48:54
Speaker 4: years and we still haven't spent it. It's sitting there
• 48:56
Speaker 4: in the little thing they gave us.
• 49:00
  Speaker 5: I haven't had time.
• 49:01
Speaker 4: I haven't been broke where I had to get into it.
• 49:05
Speaker 4: So we're planning something pretty soon.
• 49:07
Speaker 2: Well, of course you're not broke because you and Ruben
• 49:09
Speaker 2: are the cheapest people I know.
• 49:10
Speaker 4: That's how you survive. That's how the rich stay rich.
• 49:13
  Speaker 5: Oh, my God.
• 49:14
Speaker 2: No, you make money and spend it. Then you make
• 49:16
Speaker 2: more money. What is wrong with you guys?
• 49:17
Speaker 4: That's an easy one. Roman. Get it for him.
• 49:21
  Speaker 2: I can't. Sometimes I can't with you guys. I just can't.
• 49:25
Speaker 2: You know, you guys just want.
• 49:29
Speaker 2: This is why Bakersfield.
• 49:30
Speaker 1: You know, this is why I can't sometimes with these
• 49:32
Speaker 1: men in Bakersfield. You guys are such pathetic losers that
• 49:35
Speaker 1: it always comes down to the cheapest way I can
• 49:37
Speaker 1: get away with something. That makes you pathetic, by the way.
• 49:41
Speaker 1: If that is your thought process, that everything you do
• 49:46
Speaker 1: is done in the cheapest possible way, and that makes
• 49:50
Speaker 1: you happy, you're a loser, okay? It's not about eight
• 49:55
Speaker 1: bucks or 12, whatever it costs.
• 49:56
Speaker 2: It's about the stupidity of what they're asking for.
• 50:00
Speaker 1: I can guarantee that every single person that's gotten married
• 50:03
Speaker 1: that's listening right now has something stupid in their house
• 50:08
Speaker 1: that they registered for on their wedding day thinking, oh,
• 50:11
Speaker 1: this is a great idea.
• 50:12
Speaker 2: We can use it. And you don't. It's still in
• 50:14
Speaker 2: the box. It's still in the package. It's still in
• 50:16
  Speaker 2: the whatever.
• 50:17
Speaker 1: And the only reason you registered for it is because
• 50:20
Speaker 1: somebody else was going to buy it for you. You
• 50:23
Speaker 1: would rather waste their money than your money. It's just stupid.
• 50:30
Speaker 1: Weddings are just the dumbest things. All right, 842-547-07. We're
• 50:35
Speaker 1: talking about these wedding registries. These people, they order some
• 50:38
Speaker 1: of the dumbest things or register for some of the
• 50:40
Speaker 1: dumbest things because they know it's not their money. Register
• 50:43
Speaker 1: for something you would never buy, and you've done it.
• 50:47
Speaker 1: You've probably done it, right? Those of you that are married.
• 50:50
Speaker 1: And somebody, like I said, I got to go to
• 50:55
Speaker 1: a wedding. I was looking at the registry yesterday, and
• 50:57
Speaker 1: it was an asparagus dish. I don't even know what
• 51:01
Speaker 1: the hell, well, I know what it is now, but
• 51:03
Speaker 1: why would anybody order that? An asparagus dish is called
• 51:07
Speaker 1: a plate. Put it on a plate, you know? So
• 51:10
Speaker 1: I thought that was just really stupid.
• 51:12
Speaker 2: And now I know. I mean, a lot of you
• 51:14
Speaker 2: have done it. All right. And I've told you before,
• 51:17
Speaker 2: nobody wants to go to your wedding. R-D-4-2-5-4-7-7, yo, Romeo.
• 51:21
Speaker 1: I'm going to tell you right now that the registry
• 51:27
Speaker 1: is way better than what my brother did. My brother's
• 51:31
Speaker 1: wife wanted to have a destination wedding in Hawaii. She
• 51:36
Speaker 1: thought it would be great for everybody to go. It
• 51:39
Speaker 1: cost me and my wife and my two kids, it
• 51:42
Speaker 1: cost us $ 8, 000 to go to his wedding. Now, I
• 51:47
Speaker 1: was one of the groomsmen, so I had to go,
• 51:50
Speaker 1: but that's ridiculous. So when you're talking about just buying
• 51:55
Speaker 1: a dish over a destination wedding room, I got to tell.
• 51:58
  Speaker 2: You, that's way.
• 52:00
Speaker 1: I've never gone to a destination wedding. I've gone to
• 52:03
Speaker 1: a destination birthday party.
• 52:04
Speaker 2: Not a wedding, though. Hey, Rome, you were talking about weddings.
• 52:08
Speaker 2: How come you don't like weddings? Because nobody cares.
• 52:12
Speaker 1: I don't like weddings because nobody cares about your wedding
• 52:15
Speaker 1: except you. You go to some ceremony that takes 30 minutes,
• 52:20
Speaker 1: and then you got a two-hour break so you can
• 52:22
Speaker 1: go take pictures, and everybody's got to go wait at
• 52:25
Speaker 1: some hall for the reception to start. And you bring
• 52:30
Speaker 1: out some sorry-ass dinner. And we got to just, it
• 52:34
Speaker 1: takes all day. You know, a ceremony takes 30 minutes.
• 52:40
Speaker 1: I mean, I guess if you want to have a
• 52:41
Speaker 1: party afterwards, I get it. But still, it's just an
• 52:45
  Speaker 1: all-day event.
• 52:46
Speaker 2: Nobody wants to go to your weddings.
• 52:48
Speaker 1: There's not one person who's happy for you.
• 52:50
Speaker 2: Well, let me rephrase that.
• 52:52
Speaker 1: People are happy for you getting married. But the ceremony
• 52:57
Speaker 1: and the selfishness of a wedding... And I got to
• 53:00
Speaker 1: bring a gift because you got married? I mean, the
• 53:03
Speaker 1: stupidity of it is just insane.
• 53:06
  Speaker 2: That's why.
• 53:07
Speaker 1: And nobody wants to go. Really, nobody wants to go.
• 53:12
Speaker 1: I've never known one person that was excited about going.
• 53:14
Speaker 2: To a wedding. Yeah.
• 53:20
Speaker 1: RD425477A, Romeo, you want to talk about classless? One of
• 53:24
Speaker 1: my friends got married and she's... I can't say that word.
• 53:32
Speaker 1: One of my friends got married and she's a little,
• 53:34
Speaker 1: you know what? When they were driving to their honeymoon,
• 53:39
Speaker 1: which was over in Paso Slow. Oh, Paso Robles. Is
• 53:44
Speaker 1: Paso Robles or Slow? You put two things here. When
• 53:47
Speaker 1: they were driving to their honeymoon, they put on their
• 53:50
Speaker 1: car window their Venmo me account and asked people to
• 53:56
Speaker 1: Venmo them because of their.
• 54:00
Speaker 2: Venmo them for their honeymoon. I think I saw that
• 54:07
Speaker 2: the other day. Where was I?
• 54:08
Speaker 1: I was driving down I-5 or 99 or something, and
• 54:11
Speaker 1: I saw some people. I think it was something very
• 54:14
Speaker 1: similar to that. We just got married or something. Yeah,
• 54:17
Speaker 1: that is pretty classless, just begging for money on your honeymoon.
• 54:20
Speaker 1: If you couldn't afford to get married, maybe you shouldn't have.
• 54:22
Speaker 1: All right, we were talking about weddings and some of
• 54:24
Speaker 1: the dumb things that people register for, but Somebody just
• 54:28
Speaker 1: sent me a text about going to a wedding with
• 54:30
Speaker 1: a dollar dance. They wanted you to Venmo, Zelle, or
• 54:33
Speaker 1: Apple Pay in case you didn't have any money on you,
• 54:35
Speaker 1: which is just ridiculously stupid.
• 54:38
  Speaker 2: All right, 842-5477.
• 54:40
Speaker 1: Hey, Rome, I went to a wedding one time for
• 54:44
Speaker 1: one of my cousins, and when you got to the
• 54:47
Speaker 1: hall for the reception, you had to pay $ 15 to
• 54:49
  Speaker 1: get in.
• 54:50
  Speaker 2: Are you serious?
• 54:50
  Speaker 6: Yes.
• 54:59
Speaker 2: So there was a cover charge for the reception? Wow.
• 55:06
Speaker 2: That's just embarrassing. Oh, my God, that's embarrassing.
• 55:10
Speaker 1: R-A-4-2-5-4-7-7. Nah, bro, the smart ones know what you're trying
• 55:16
Speaker 1: to do. You know the dude getting married is listening.
• 55:19
Speaker 1: You're just trying to get uninvited. Oh, no, the wedding
• 55:23
Speaker 1: I got to go to isn't even in state. in
• 55:26
Speaker 1: the state, in their defense, they probably have a specific
• 55:30
Speaker 1: pattern or drawing on it, and they're just trying to
• 55:33
Speaker 1: decorate the kitchen. First of all, if I didn't want
• 55:40
Speaker 1: to go to your wedding, I wouldn't go, okay? I
• 55:43
Speaker 1: am not, one of the things that my friends know
• 55:47
Speaker 1: that I've been my friends, anybody that's going to invite
• 55:49
Speaker 1: me to their wedding that I've known long enough that
• 55:51
Speaker 1: would have, would, knows me so well that if I
• 55:55
Speaker 1: just tell them I'm not going, they understand.
• 55:58
Speaker 2: So, no, that's not– I'm not like you guys.
• 56:04
Speaker 1: I don't show up somewhere because I'm supposed to or
• 56:09
  Speaker 1: I feel obligated.
• 56:11
Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't do that. Romeo in the morning.
• 56:14
  Speaker 3: Every morning.
• 56:14
  Speaker 6: 94.1.
