- 0:00If you haven't seen part one of my stories, I'd recommend
- 0:03checking it out either before you watch this video or after.
- 0:08They don't necessarily directly tie together, but the same
- 0:12entity or entities that plagued us at our Willow Street home
- 0:17certainly seemed to follow us in some way when we moved.
- 0:21I did want to let you guys know that especially towards the end
- 0:24of this video, I do kind of go on a bit of a long explanation
- 0:30that is pretty much just going to be entirely raw.
- 0:34And it's it involves a lot of personal details and things from
- 0:39my life that I just kind of wanted to get out there.
- 0:42And I hope overall you enjoy the video and the stories and just
- 0:46the content as a whole. Thank you guys.
- 0:54Around age 10, after my parents got divorced, I moved to the
- 0:58small town of Sedgwick, Kansas, about 40 minutes or so away from
- 1:03Derby, going from roughly a population of 20,000 people to
- 1:08about 1800. Me, my mom, brother and sister
- 1:14moved in with my newlywed aunt and her husband Bill, my uncle.
- 1:20We lived in a large farm style house that was over 100 years
- 1:23old and time would tell that perhaps we weren't the only
- 1:27inhabitants that dwelled within its walls.
- 1:31Within a matter of weeks strange things began to happen.
- 1:35My first experience that I can recall at this location was when
- 1:40one night I was headed up the stairs to use the restroom.
- 1:44And for context, here was the layout of the house.
- 1:47The stairs leading up to the upstairs was basically AT shape.
- 1:52When reaching the top of the stairs, there was my aunt and
- 1:55uncle's room on the far left, an office room, and the bathroom on
- 2:00the right hand side closest to the stairs.
- 2:03I was heading up and got about halfway up the stairs when I saw
- 2:07a glowing bluish figure of a man run from the bedroom straight
- 2:12into the bathroom and then disappear.
- 2:16Seeing this happened so fast I fell backwards and down the
- 2:20stairs. This frightened the hell out of
- 2:23me and as embarrassing as it is to say now, I refuse to use the
- 2:27bathroom for about a week, opting to use a friend's house
- 2:32or go outside instead, not wanting to go anywhere near
- 2:36where I'd seen this person. The following day after seeing
- 2:40the man, I told my mom and my aunt what I had seen and to
- 2:44their credit they are fairly open minded when it comes to the
- 2:47paranormal. My aunt, especially my mom, as
- 2:52much as I love her, tends to try and rationalize almost to the
- 2:56point of denial with a lot of things explaining what this man
- 3:00looked like. I remembered him having dusty
- 3:03looking hair and that he was wearing overalls.
- 3:07My aunt then decided to show me some of my uncle's old family
- 3:10photos. Several photos in she showed me
- 3:14what appeared to be one of a family reunion with probably 20
- 3:18or so people in it. There towards the back, standing
- 3:22in the middle, was the same exact man that I had seen just
- 3:26the night before. What makes this stranger is that
- 3:30when I pointed this out, she went and talked to my uncle and
- 3:34it turns out that the person I identified was his father.
- 3:38And even weirder, his father had died of brain cancer in the very
- 3:43same room that they now called their bedroom.
- 3:47The same room directly across from the bathroom.
- 3:51It's important to note that I didn't know this man.
- 3:54I didn't even really know my uncle, to be honest, and
- 3:58definitely not his family. And I hadn't seen any family
- 4:01photos prior to this of his family.
- 4:05As strange as this event was, it would only progress from here.
- 4:10My grandmother, who had been living with us in the last days
- 4:13of her life, had passed away just a few months before all of
- 4:17these strange things started happening.
- 4:20The paranormal happenings would greatly intensify after she
- 4:23passed. My aunt, uncle, and mom were
- 4:27usually gone. Typically they were either at
- 4:30work or running errands or both, leaving us kids to ourselves for
- 4:36a good chunk of the time. I did also want to mention here
- 4:39that if you hear a dog panting, it's storming outside right now.
- 4:44And Luna, my half Husky, half Great Pyrenees does not do very
- 4:49good with storms. So she's actually right at my
- 4:52side and I'm giving her some lovies while I inherit rate to
- 4:55you guys. So with us usually being alone
- 4:59we would rely on each other, especially in the evenings.
- 5:03It was mostly up to me being the oldest to make sure that
- 5:06everyone had had dinner, they had showered, and we were all
- 5:10ready to go to bed. Showering was unnerving because
- 5:15the basement, like the house, was just so creepy.
- 5:20The only working shower we had was in the basement laundry room
- 5:24and the shower was made of cracked concrete and had an old
- 5:28spigot style shower head. Looking up you could see the
- 5:32cobwebs and the planks overhead. The kitchen would have been
- 5:36directly above where the shower was.
- 5:39Her context. My aunt, similar to my mom, was
- 5:42also a hoarder. So the basement, aside from a
- 5:45small cleared path, was packed with junk and boxes adjacent to
- 5:51where the shower was located, or rather the room.
- 5:54There was an old cannery in the back of the basement that had
- 5:58long since been abandoned, still having piles of old cans stored
- 6:02within the walls of the small room in the back of the
- 6:05basement. So already being scary to us
- 6:08kids on its own, it would become even more terrifying in the
- 6:12coming months following my grandma's passing.
- 6:16We would often go in pairs with the odd person out staying
- 6:19upstairs. One of us would shower and the
- 6:22other would stand outside the door to talk to the other.
- 6:26To make each other less scared. We also often played an old
- 6:30boombox stereo with whatever C DS we had.
- 6:34This usually would help keep us calm while we did what we needed
- 6:37to do. We would often talk about what
- 6:40had happened that day at school and what was going on with our
- 6:43lives at the time. One night though, that's burned
- 6:47into my memory with my little brother upstairs watching
- 6:51something, I kept watch outside the door while my sister
- 6:54showered. Keely had only been in the
- 6:57shower a few minutes when suddenly the power went out.
- 7:01What made it worse was that the stereo that had been playing
- 7:05faded into this eerie low octave as it shut down from the lack of
- 7:10power. My sister, who was already
- 7:13terrified due to the sheer pitch blackness of the room, began to
- 7:18freak out, trying to be the older brother and trying to keep
- 7:22the peace. As I heard my sister and my
- 7:24brother scream, I tried to talk them through the situation.
- 7:29I told Kate and my brother to sit still, and I told my sister
- 7:33to quickly rinse off the soap that she had lathered with and
- 7:36to grab her towel and we could both go back upstairs where I'd
- 7:40try to find some candles or something.
- 7:43About the time the words left my mouth, there was a loud
- 7:46scratching noise that came from the wall that separated the
- 7:49laundry room and the basement space where all the boxes were.
- 7:55Not knowing what this was, I began to get incredibly scared
- 7:58as well because I knew that that wall was concrete, so there
- 8:02couldn't have been an animal in there.
- 8:05Suddenly, the scratching turned into something else.
- 8:09Over the shrill screams of my sister, I heard what I can only
- 8:13describe as a horrible snarling noise.
- 8:17It was something unearthly, as if the vocal cords of a pig and
- 8:24a person had been intertwined while they both screamed.
- 8:29It was downright disturbing. With this, I quickly began to
- 8:34scream as well. My poor sister, in a panic, had
- 8:38ran into me trying to exit, headed towards the stairs out of
- 8:43the laundry room and began clinging to me in pure terror.
- 8:48In the chaos, she would accidentally scratch my back as
- 8:50we both scrambled to get to the stairs.
- 8:54In the darkness or the surge of adrenaline, I tossed her in
- 8:58front of me and both of us ran upstairs as fast as we possibly
- 9:02could. As we got into the living room,
- 9:05my little brother was scared and crying as well.
- 9:08As we approached him, the power came back on, but the lights
- 9:12began to flicker with all three of us still hearing the sounds
- 9:16coming from the basement. It sounded as if whatever it was
- 9:21was coming up from the basement wall and up into the floor below
- 9:25us. It began hitting the floor below
- 9:28us, what would have been the basement ceiling.
- 9:32With all of us scared out of our minds, I grabbed my siblings and
- 9:36took us all out onto the back porch and then into our
- 9:40backyard. We would stay back there for I'd
- 9:43say probably about two hours or so until my mom got back home.
- 9:49And the whole time the lights were flickering inside of the
- 9:52house. There was no storm.
- 9:56Although the house was old, the wiring was not.
- 10:00And although this was traumatic, no doubt this would be far from
- 10:04the end of the experiences for all of us.
- 10:07Our doorbell began to malfunction, so to speak.
- 10:11Growing up in a small town, as kids, a lot of us would do what
- 10:14was called Ding Dong ditching. We were bored where you'd
- 10:18essentially roam around town, run up and knock on someone's
- 10:22door or ring their doorbell and run off and.
- 10:25Hide before they answered the door.
- 10:28At first we thought this might have been the case with our
- 10:30doorbell. It would always happen at night
- 10:32and upon opening the door, no one would be there and it's.
- 10:35Possible that maybe it happened a time or two, but with how many
- 10:39times it began happening pretty much every single night and
- 10:43multiple times a night and us never seeing anyone there or in
- 10:47the bushes or anything, it became really unnerving.
- 10:51My uncle, who worked early in the morning, finally got tired
- 10:55of dealing with whatever was going on and decided to
- 10:58disconnect the doorbell. And under normal circumstances
- 11:01this would have worked to be honest.
- 11:04But of course, this wasn't a normal situation.
- 11:08Things were silent the first night after he disconnected the
- 11:11doorbell. And then something peculiar
- 11:14happened. Began to ring again.
- 11:17This should have been impossible because it had no power source.
- 11:21The wiring was severed. And it wasn't battery powered.
- 11:26And even if there was some kind of residual power left in it, it
- 11:30would have dissipated in the coming days.
- 11:33I'd think it would continue to ring for months and it seemed to
- 11:38get later and later because before, let's say when the sun
- 11:42would go down, say 8:00 or 9:00 PM, maybe even 10:00 PM, it
- 11:46would ring. And as time went on over those
- 11:50few months, began to go off a lot later, earlier in the
- 11:54morning, however you want to look at it, usually around 3:00
- 11:57to 4:00 AM. So I mean, when we're all
- 12:01sleeping or trying to sleep, if we could manage to get to sleep,
- 12:05then it would essentially disturb that rest.
- 12:09And maybe that was part of the motivation of whatever was
- 12:13causing it. I highly doubt that it was kids
- 12:16around this time. Me as well as my siblings, we,
- 12:20we weren't really picked on a whole lot at this school.
- 12:23I mean, maybe at first, but we weren't like targeted by
- 12:26anybody. And I don't know, it just where
- 12:29we lived was kind of out of the way as well.
- 12:32Like there wasn't a lot of kids that lived around us.
- 12:36So I would be pretty surprised. Like Cedric's not that big of a
- 12:39town, but I would be really surprised if if that somehow
- 12:43played a factor in it. And that's if you take severing
- 12:46the power to it completely out of the equation as well, because
- 12:50it was always the doorbell going off.
- 12:51It wasn't anyone knocking on the door.
- 12:54And yeah, I don't know, overall, the whole thing is just weird.
- 12:57And it was certainly worth mentioning my mom, similar to
- 13:03how my dad said he felt later following our experiences at the
- 13:07Willow Street house, began to change.
- 13:10She began to become more disconnected and more angry.
- 13:15Less. Recognizable is the best way
- 13:18that I could put in. There is a lot to this, and I'm
- 13:22certain that not all of it is paranormal by any means.
- 13:26But I do think it was similar enough to how our previous
- 13:31experiences were to mention any negative behavior in all of us
- 13:37or behaviors, but especially in my mom and my aunt, seemed to be
- 13:41magnified substantially. We would all fight, we'd have
- 13:45outbursts and generally we all contributed, you know, granted
- 13:50we were kids, but we all contributed to a negative.
- 13:53Atmosphere while we lived there. Which, you know, although we had
- 13:57been through a lot, wasn't really like us.
- 14:01So for some more context here before I continue to try and
- 14:05make things make as much sense as possible.
- 14:08So my sister was the only one that had a room next to my aunt
- 14:13and uncle, my mom and me and my younger brother Kaden.
- 14:19We didn't have our own rooms we've slept on either.
- 14:25We took turns basically sleeping in a chair or on a couch or on
- 14:30the floor and to try and I guess like carve out my, I mean with
- 14:36me being the oldest, I tried to kind of like carve out my own
- 14:39space. And I also wanted to try and get
- 14:42over my fears. And with that, I began sleeping
- 14:47down in the basement There. I just had this like small
- 14:50little lamp. There were overhead lights, but
- 14:53they, the bulbs were long burned out and I didn't know how to
- 14:56change them and no one else was going to do it for me.
- 14:59So I had essentially tried to clear, clear out the path a
- 15:03little bit more than what was already there.
- 15:06And basically I had a, a small TV down there.
- 15:10I had some blankets I would make what was called what I would
- 15:14call lasagna pallets, where I would just lay a bunch of
- 15:19different blankets down on the floor and just try to make it as
- 15:23comfortable as I could for myself.
- 15:25And eventually also my little brother, like hang out with me
- 15:28down there sometimes and sleep down there with me sometimes.
- 15:33So with this next story, there's definitely two perspectives,
- 15:39right? There's what my brother
- 15:41experienced and there's what I experienced.
- 15:45I'm going to let my brother tell you what his experiences were
- 15:48like and this particular event, and then I'm going to tell my
- 15:54perspective. So I've had many spiritual
- 15:57experiences, many of which I would say are from God, and many
- 16:01of which I would say are literally just from demons.
- 16:04And there is one of those experiences, though, from what I
- 16:07would consider to be from the demonic, that has stuck with me
- 16:11more than any other throughout the years.
- 16:14I remember being a kid in our small townhouse and my brother
- 16:18and I had to share the unfinished basement, which was
- 16:22very creepy. Everyone else had their their
- 16:24rooms, but we just sort of made the most of ours.
- 16:28I would often wake up in the night being very afraid and
- 16:31freaking out because I was afraid of the dark, as a lot of
- 16:34kids are. But there was one night where I
- 16:37woke up in pitch darkness and this experience was not the
- 16:42same. I didn't just feel afraid of the
- 16:44dark, I felt afraid of something in particular.
- 16:48So I bolted out of the blanket for we'd made, and I peeked my
- 16:51little head over the containers that were stacked on top of one
- 16:54another, and at the back of the basement I saw something that
- 17:00chilled me to the core. My blood just ran cold and I
- 17:04froze in fear for what felt like forever but was probably only a
- 17:08few seconds. I saw this beastial, almost
- 17:13translucent yet glowing thing. But what I remember to this day
- 17:20is it's glowing red eyes. And I don't mean glowing as in
- 17:24light, I mean glowing with hatred.
- 17:26It felt like it looked into my soul and it just hated me.
- 17:31It had rage at me, and it instilled in that little kid who
- 17:38was me a great, great sense of fear for entities that are
- 17:44frankly evil and negative. I remember just bolting upstairs
- 17:49and curling up next to my mom like I normally did, but this
- 17:52time I was hoping and praying nothing would come and destroy
- 17:55me. And I know it wasn't just me,
- 17:58because later that night, my brother also had a very
- 18:01harrowing experience. So me and my brother, obviously
- 18:07we as a family didn't have a lot of money and we were trying to
- 18:13entertain ourselves, you know, as best we could.
- 18:16And I thought it would be cool to make a blanket Fort down
- 18:21where, you know, our makeshift room was.
- 18:24So I went ahead and took a bunch of pillows and blankets, all the
- 18:29ones that we had at our disposal and built a Fort out of it.
- 18:35Well, we decided to essentially snuggle up in the the Fort and
- 18:41watch the movie cars, which was kind of like one of our comfort
- 18:45movies, I guess at that time. So I what I remember is
- 18:50essentially getting into the Ford, you know, getting under
- 18:54the blankets, getting comfy. And then we started watching
- 18:56cars and I fell asleep. I remember waking up and my
- 19:03brother was gone and I was like, oh, you know, maybe he got
- 19:09scared or prefer to sleep with my mom or whatever.
- 19:12You know, I didn't think of it much of it at first where the
- 19:16way that I'd had it designed was I had draped blankets across
- 19:20various boxes that kind of led down the path that was like
- 19:26towards where the cannery was at and where you could like, kind
- 19:29of like crawl in and out of. Basically.
- 19:32It's kind of hard to explain without having like a picture,
- 19:35but I don't have a picture of it.
- 19:38Anyways, Long story short, towards the end of that, what
- 19:42would have been the entrance but with me being up by the TVI was
- 19:45like all the way into the Fort. I began to hear like a rustling
- 19:48sound and I was like huh? So I remember my eyes darting
- 19:54kind of towards that general direction.
- 19:56And then I watched as essentially each blanket that
- 20:01created this like hallway or tunnel, however you want to put
- 20:05it. To where I was at began to
- 20:08collapse as if something had like hit it from the top or had
- 20:15been underneath it and pulled it down and it kept doing it until
- 20:19it got to me. And obviously my heart was
- 20:23thumping pretty much out of my chest at that point.
- 20:26And I remember being thrown backwards and my eyes rolled
- 20:32back into my head. And I don't have epilepsy, My
- 20:38sister actually does, but I have, I've never had any types
- 20:42of seizures or anything like that.
- 20:45But I remember being so terrified.
- 20:49I was completely aware of what was going on.
- 20:52And at that time, I, I was still pretty Catholic, I would say.
- 20:59And I remember just crying out to God to help me, to free me
- 21:04from whatever this thing was because I was my body, although
- 21:10I was present, I was not in control of.
- 21:14And it, it scared me so, so bad. And whenever this thing finally
- 21:21released its grip on me, I remember running, obviously
- 21:26running up and out of the basement and to where my mom
- 21:30was. And I was hysterical.
- 21:35I didn't really stay down there. I can't even recall ever really
- 21:38going back down there after that point, unless it was to shower,
- 21:43of course. But like I, I stopped spending
- 21:45time down there. It wasn't my little like space
- 21:50where I could just feel like it was my own anymore.
- 21:54It had essentially been violated.
- 21:57Those are definitely the major paranormal things that I'd say I
- 22:02experienced at the Sedgwick House.
- 22:06Cedric, like a lot of places I visited as an adult, Point
- 22:10Pleasant, WV, where the majority of the Mothman activity was said
- 22:16to have taken place, is kind of like one of those places where
- 22:21it almost feels like you're in a dreamlike state when you're
- 22:24there. Cedric felt a lot like that to
- 22:27me. And the way that I have come to
- 22:32kind of categorize these places is it's a place where the veil
- 22:37between our world and the next or however you want to put it,
- 22:43seems to be thinner than in other places.
- 22:48And I think that there is a lot of different places where this
- 22:53is the case. And perhaps this is what leads
- 22:56to intensified paranormal. Or.
- 23:00Spiritual or even Cryptid activity.
- 23:03Just points of high strangeness in general.
- 23:08In due time, we would finally get our own place to live.
- 23:13That was in 2007. We ended up moving into Section
- 23:188 neighborhood in a neighboring city.
- 23:21We were there for not quite two years.
- 23:26Thankfully nothing took place there as far as the paranormal
- 23:29from what I can recall. There was a lot of other stuff
- 23:33that happened, like my mom had an abusive boyfriend that broke
- 23:38back into our house after being kicked out and I had to
- 23:42essentially fight him off at the age of 11, 11, borderline going
- 23:47on 12. And I remember holding a knife
- 23:51to him in our kitchen. Obviously, I'm, I'm a big guy.
- 23:55I was a big kid and this, this dude couldn't have been any
- 23:58bigger from what I remember than like 5-5 or five, six.
- 24:01But yeah, just a lot of a lot of crazy stuff.
- 24:06My mom then had another boyfriend.
- 24:07And this is kind of what ended our time there in the Section 8
- 24:12housing was even though my mom paid a prorated rate for rent,
- 24:17we ended up eventually getting evicted because this dude
- 24:21essentially stole our rent money and stole my camera, which was
- 24:28actually the last thing that my grandma Agnes had got me.
- 24:33And actually, sorry, this is all super out of pocket and just me
- 24:38being raw and just real with you guys.
- 24:41It was with that camera that I really started to get interested
- 24:44and not only filming, but just like producing content in
- 24:48general. I used to be really into like
- 24:50claymation and storytelling, even concocting my own movies I
- 24:55guess with like video games like Soul Calibur was a was one that
- 25:01I would write whole storylines to.
- 25:02And Long story short, it was a very important item to me for a
- 25:08variety of reasons, but also because it was the last thing my
- 25:11grandma got me before she passed away and this dude ended up
- 25:14stealing it. He also stole our rent money
- 25:18which got us evicted and we ended up being homeless in a van
- 25:23for several months during the summer.
- 25:26This would have been summer of 2008, so I would have been about
- 25:3112 at this time, if not pretty close to 12, like I said, at 11,
- 25:35going on 12. And ultimately, my dad would get
- 25:40custody of me and I would end up living with him and moving on
- 25:45with my life. I'm on good terms.
- 25:47I'd say probably Gray terms with my parents now.
- 25:50And no one's perfect, you know, let's be honest.
- 25:53We make mistakes. You know, no one necessarily
- 25:56wants their kids to grow up in a dysfunctional house, let alone
- 26:01dysfunctional house or houses that are afflicted with the
- 26:05paranormal. And I oftentimes wonder if
- 26:08trauma can attract the paranormal, can attract
- 26:13darkness. I certainly know that it can be
- 26:16exacerbated by the paranormal, but I wonder if it also
- 26:21essentially attracts beings that feed on that fear and that
- 26:25sadness. I mentioned that my grandma
- 26:29passed away in the house. She had been living with us for
- 26:34several months. I want to say like four to six
- 26:37months. Where we lived.
- 26:39There is an old folks home that's like, I mean not even a
- 26:43block away. Like you, we used to be able to
- 26:45cut through this little field through our backyard and you
- 26:47would be at the old folks home. Well my grandma was living there
- 26:52for a time and then like her main care person was there and
- 26:57she had to get AI think it was a triple or quadruple bypass.
- 27:00It was something crazy and she ended up staying with us while
- 27:04she recovered. And I'll never forget the day
- 27:07actually. So the day was January 25th of
- 27:122005 when she passed away, and I remember this because I was home
- 27:18sick with I think I had strep throat at that time.
- 27:23Not a fun time. This is also weird and just
- 27:25really personal, but the movie Alien versus Predator had come
- 27:28out at that time. So I remember that was the
- 27:33release date of that movie on DVD.
- 27:36I had gone to Walgreens with my mom to pick up my prescription
- 27:40to treat my strep throat. You know, I was like, hey, mom,
- 27:42you know, can I get this? Yeah, sure.
- 27:44So she gets me the DVD. I was starting to watch the
- 27:47movie in our living room. You know, just.
- 27:51I couldn't really do anything. And a rule.
- 27:53A. Rule of us being sick was that
- 27:54you know, like we couldn't really play like video games or
- 27:57be on the computer or anything like that.
- 28:00So I was just trying to make the best of it.
- 28:02You know, I and taking my medicine and I was starting to
- 28:04watch this movie. Essentially, my grandma started
- 28:06going into because she had diabetes as well as other health
- 28:11ailments. She started going into diabetic
- 28:14shock. So I remember being with my aunt
- 28:18and my mom. They asked me to please go try
- 28:22and get her care provider over at the old folks home.
- 28:26So I ran over there, couldn't find the person there paging her
- 28:30so I ran back to tell them what was going on and that basically
- 28:34she would be there as soon as she could.
- 28:36And I remember my grandma. I'll say I'll save a lot of the,
- 28:42the really gritty details, but basically I ended up holding her
- 28:46hand while she passed away. Also not really relevant, I
- 28:51guess to to the stories themselves, but more more so
- 28:54relevant to my life. I had also seen her husband, my
- 28:58mom's dad, pass away in 2002. Yeah, I held her hand while she
- 29:03passed away. And I really think that that
- 29:06fundamentally changes someone when they actually watch someone
- 29:10like in their eyes die. I with that being said, that
- 29:14really made me question a lot. That really made me question God
- 29:18and why I would be put in a position where that where I'd
- 29:23have to witness that a lot of things.
- 29:25I was really angry about it for a long, long time and I had a
- 29:29lot of dreams about her. And it definitely even now is
- 29:34still some major trauma that I think I've mostly processed, but
- 29:40with not only dealing with all of the dysfunction and filth.
- 29:46And then you stack the paranormal on top of that, as
- 29:50well as the trauma not only of my parents getting divorced, but
- 29:54also literally watching my my grandma die.
- 29:58I mean, from the time she passed just to kind of again for
- 30:02context, when we knew for sure she was passed or she had passed
- 30:07rather. I mean, I was there even when
- 30:10they came and like loaded her up like in a body bag.
- 30:14Like it, it was really messed up for sure.
- 30:19When you couple all those things together, I think that it really
- 30:25made me not only question everything, but question why
- 30:29these things happen and just what is the paranormal, why
- 30:34these things exist. I wanted to know more about
- 30:37whatever these things were. And in a sense, I don't know if
- 30:43I noticed it at the time as a kid, but throughout high school
- 30:48and then as I became an adult, I had always maintained an
- 30:52interest in the paranormal. And I believe that it became
- 30:56kind of a calling for me. Another thing to mention too,
- 30:59since I'm just offloading everything here, I had grown up
- 31:03my mom's dad, actually, Paul, he had introduced me to like
- 31:09Unsolved Mysteries and The X-Files and he actually had
- 31:15worked at Area 51 as an aerospace engineer in the Air
- 31:20Force. Long story short, there's we've
- 31:24got family stories from that too.
- 31:26It's it's a whole thing, but I always gravitated more towards
- 31:32like the mysterious and the supernatural type entertainment.
- 31:37And I don't know, I just one thing led to another.
- 31:41You know, I had a couple experiences in the house that I
- 31:45moved into with my dad, which he actually ended up moving out.
- 31:50And as an adult I lived there for, I want to say another
- 31:54couple years, like two years or so after he moved out, two or
- 31:57three years and I can get into those as well.
- 32:01But I figured I would try and explain kind of what it
- 32:05inspired. Mystery archives, so to speak.
- 32:08So I remember it being 2016 and I was kind of still trying to
- 32:14find myself. I've been involved in music and
- 32:18things like that. And when those things don't work
- 32:21out, you kind of try to find something to do on your own.
- 32:25You know, I want to say into 2017, this was kind of back when
- 32:29YouTube was still, they still allowed like a lot of like
- 32:32conspiratorial and that type of content on the platform.
- 32:37And I remember kind of stumbling across that And I was like, you
- 32:40know, I've, it's not that I necessarily believe a bunch of
- 32:44conspiracies per SE, but I was like, you know, I could really
- 32:47see myself getting into something like this and just
- 32:50kind of like getting into like mysteries, you know, because I
- 32:54really enjoyed learning about different topics and deep diving
- 32:57and and all of that. I didn't really know how to edit
- 33:01a whole a lot. Like, I taught myself how to use
- 33:03Sony Vegas, and that's all I had at the time.
- 33:05This is long before I discovered Adobe Premiere and you know
- 33:08where I'm at today. And I made, you know, I made the
- 33:12account mystery archives. The name just kind of came to
- 33:16me. I remember I was like, you know,
- 33:18trying to come up with a name that hadn't been taken.
- 33:21And at that time it hadn't been taken.
- 33:24So I was like, OK, yeah, no, that sounds pretty cool.
- 33:27Ended up making it. And then I made, I didn't have a
- 33:32microphone or anything at that time.
- 33:35My computer could barely handle me editing anything.
- 33:39And I didn't have any money really to speak of.
- 33:43And I ended up making one of those text overlay conspiracy
- 33:47videos that's private and that'll never see the light of
- 33:50day. But after that, I didn't really
- 33:55do anything with it. I think I might have, yeah.
- 33:59Now that I think about it. And it's also privated.
- 34:03I recorded a really intense thunderstorm from my upstairs
- 34:08where my computer was at the time and was like, you know,
- 34:12I've always loved nature and sound escapes and those types of
- 34:16things, which actually goes back to my mom when I was quite a bit
- 34:20younger. She would play those and they
- 34:22would just relax me and I'd go to sleep.
- 34:25I had the had recorded that. But other than those two things,
- 34:28I don't think I really took it seriously or really developed a,
- 34:33a concept of what I wanted to do with it realistically.
- 34:37Fast forward to 2020 and I got first furloughed from my job,
- 34:45which I was at that time, I was in paint prep for aircraft.
- 34:50So like surfacing, sanding, priming, that type of stuff,
- 34:55getting it ready for the final coats of paint here in Wichita.
- 35:00And I got furloughed and then laid off, obviously with
- 35:05everything that happened, you know, what the pandemic and what
- 35:08have you. And I remember I was sitting at
- 35:10home and I was so used to just working constantly.
- 35:15I mean, like 40 to 60 hour weeks all the time.
- 35:19I mean, I tried to basically work as hard as I could to try
- 35:22and get ahead for me and Meg, you know, I just wanted to forge
- 35:27my own way and be as successful as I, I could be, at least in
- 35:31that field. So I remember sitting here
- 35:35actually in the same general area I'm sitting right now,
- 35:38totally different computer and all of that and being like, you
- 35:43know, I have this YouTube account and I've never really
- 35:48like done anything with it. And I've always really been into
- 35:51these types of shows. I've always loved shows like a
- 35:54Haunting and Unsolved Mysteries and all of that.
- 35:57I was like, what if I tried to do something like that, but just
- 36:03in my own way. I'd always been fascinated by a
- 36:07particular story which is Stole Kansas, which was my first
- 36:11video, which I think I'm going to revisit in a later video and
- 36:16just give it an updated version I guess, so to speak.
- 36:21But that was it. That was my first video editing
- 36:25wise. I didn't really know what I was
- 36:27doing, but I was like, what is the software all the main
- 36:30Youtubers are using? And it was Adobe Premiere and I
- 36:35just tried to adapt and learn as fast as I could on the fly.
- 36:40I had my cousin draw the church that used to exist there and use
- 36:46that as the thumbnail as well as in the video.
- 36:50And really from there it was kind of, it was kind of off to
- 36:52the races. I think it was either a little
- 36:55later in 2020 or 2021, I can't remember exactly.
- 36:58But I got my job back. I think it was like 3 or 4 four
- 37:02months after I'd gotten laid off, I got my job back and went
- 37:07back to paint prep. Ended up busting my butt there
- 37:11and becoming what's known as a painter one, which is where you
- 37:14paint the final coats of paint as well as the stripes on
- 37:17aircraft. A whole different process use
- 37:21like instead of like a pot gun or a gravity fed paint gun, you
- 37:25use an Electro. Still use a gravity feed gun,
- 37:28but to paint the coats of paint you would use an electrostatic
- 37:30gun. But none of that has anything to
- 37:33do with the paranormal or anything like that.
- 37:36But basically, I began to work my butt off with with that, what
- 37:41with what was my career at the time, and kept doing mystery
- 37:46archives and really always hoped that something would take off
- 37:53eventually. Not too long after I became a
- 37:55painter. I don't know if I want to
- 37:57mention it because I don't know what YouTube's terms are or if
- 38:02they're still censoring those kinds of things.
- 38:05But basically, I got really sick with, you know, what was causing
- 38:10the pandemic, and I could have died, to be honest.
- 38:15I was in that rare bracket of people where I was really,
- 38:19really, really sick. Long story short, I ended up
- 38:25getting an infusion and getting over being sick.
- 38:29My grandfather, who had always taken amazing care of himself,
- 38:33my dad's dad, he ended up passing away from the same
- 38:37thing. Like we hadn't seen each other
- 38:40or anything in quite some time. So had, you know, basically one
- 38:43of us didn't give it to the other.
- 38:45It just was around at that time. And that was a whole family
- 38:51shake up and a whole entire series of life changes that I
- 38:58just didn't see coming. And I dealt with all of that.
- 39:03I remember I had almost given up several times on making content
- 39:07because it just wasn't really going anywhere.
- 39:10I didn't really seem to have an audience really, or I wasn't
- 39:15really able to cultivate an audience.
- 39:18And I knew that eventually, if I got good enough, that if YouTube
- 39:22just saw fit to serve my content to people, that eventually, you
- 39:26know, I would go somewhere. And I worked another, I want to
- 39:32say, let's see 21, another two years or so.
- 39:36And one day my video on Helltown, Ohio popped off and
- 39:43then it went viral. And, you know, obviously I'm
- 39:47like, wow, you know, maybe, you know, this could be it.
- 39:50I didn't want to, you know, count my blessings or put all my
- 39:53eggs in one basket, so to speak. So I allowed I basically it kept
- 39:59making content and it kept doing really, really well.
- 40:01At that time, the algorithm was shining upon us.
- 40:04I guess not not as much these days, but you know, coming out
- 40:09of nothing to exponential growth is it was life changing for
- 40:14sure. I eventually got to the point to
- 40:16where I was like, you know, I think I'm going to take the leap
- 40:20of faith and. For all the right tax reasons, I
- 40:25founded my media company, which is Cracking Media LLC to handle
- 40:30all the tax stuff of the insurance and outs of the
- 40:33Youtubes. And I left that job that I'd
- 40:36worked so, so hard to, to get to where I was at.
- 40:40And obviously I left on the best terms possible, but it's allowed
- 40:45me to live the life that I've essentially always dreamed of.
- 40:50You know, it's just, I'm so thankful to be able to do this
- 40:54for a living. And it's allowed me to be able
- 40:58to go and explore places and have experiences that I probably
- 41:04wouldn't have been able to have otherwise.
- 41:08And especially with views being low and all of that, I am really
- 41:12scared of losing that. That's why I try, I guess, to
- 41:15market as much as I I do, and I encourage people obviously to,
- 41:21to watch and to share and all of that, because I mean, at the end
- 41:25of the day, it's a gamble. You know, like I've worked
- 41:27really hard, I've earned what I have, but you know, it's a huge
- 41:32gamble to, you know, make content full time.
- 41:35So if you do appreciate what I do, you know, definitely just
- 41:39keep keep coming back. That's all I can really say.
- 41:43Obviously everyone who supports me via Patreon or YouTube
- 41:46members, you know, I really appreciate that as well.
- 41:49At the end of the day, it's, it's really just about people
- 41:53wanting to support me and my work.
- 41:55With that being said, that's kind of the back story, I guess,
- 41:59so to speak, of how Mystery Archives came to be.
- 42:03And it was going to be me and my cousin because we've always just
- 42:07worked really, really well creatively together.
- 42:10But you know, in the end it just ended up being being me.
- 42:14He just got busy with life, you know, he got married, he had a
- 42:17kid and he's doing great. And I love him to death.
- 42:20I still definitely want to do something together with him.
- 42:23Same with my brother, you know, now it's just a pretty much a
- 42:27one man project in a sense. It is a reflection of me and
- 42:32just kind of my vision of what I initially wanted to build.
- 42:36I just didn't know how to build it all those years ago.
- 42:39But now we're here and I don't know, man.
- 42:43I'm just, I'm thankful to be in this position and I'm thankful
- 42:46to have such an incredible community.
- 42:49And I'm beyond thankful to have people who even care to sit and
- 42:54listen to me ramble and tell my stories and just be interested
- 42:59in anything that I do, let alone, you know, pay my bills
- 43:03because of it. It's, it's incredible.
- 43:06I don't think I want to make a Part 3 to my paranormal
- 43:10experiences. I think I had mentioned it in in
- 43:13the live a few times and some of the lives I've done a few times
- 43:17where we had some really crazy experiences at an Airbnb in
- 43:22Kentucky beginning of this year. And I am still planning on doing
- 43:27a full board video with that with everyone who was involved.
- 43:31It's just kind of been on the back burner for a little bit.
- 43:34But before before we go, I would like to mention essentially the
- 43:40additional experiences that I had following moving into what
- 43:45we call the Millwood House. It was a house on Millwood St.
- 43:47here in Wichita, KS. Things with my dad when we lived
- 43:51there. My, my dad, I will say, in
- 43:54general had a lot of anger issues.
- 43:57I think he's doing a lot better now.
- 44:00But those didn't necessarily just go away.
- 44:03You know, life obviously got better.
- 44:06I got my own room. I met a girl that I fell in love
- 44:09with at that time, You know, I was in high school.
- 44:12Lots of changes were happening at that time.
- 44:15But to get into the paranormal experiences, because there's
- 44:19really just a couple, thankfully, and they weren't
- 44:22nearly as catastrophic or terrifying, I guess, as some of
- 44:26the other ones that I've lived through have been.
- 44:29So I want to say in 2000, mid 2009 or so, we had a really bad
- 44:37thunderstorm. A bunch of people got hail
- 44:40damage not only on their cars, but like their houses.
- 44:44Our house was a little over 100 years old, had been remodeled,
- 44:48but the roof was was older and we got significant hail damage
- 44:54on our roof and had to have our roof replaced.
- 44:57So I want to say for like, I want to say like a week or two,
- 45:02you know, bunch of my room was upstairs so I could hear
- 45:05everything, of course, but a bunch of construction work was
- 45:08going on, you know, them repairing and replacing the
- 45:11roof. And once that was done, I
- 45:14remember actually it was the night that they finished, I was
- 45:19asleep on my bed. I remember having basically a
- 45:22night terror, which is really, really rare for me.
- 45:26And by night terror, I, or maybe that's not the correct
- 45:29terminology, I'm not so sure. But basically where I woke up
- 45:35and I couldn't move and I couldn't breathe.
- 45:38And it obviously that's terrifying enough and enough
- 45:41itself. But then I heard what sounded
- 45:44like. God.
- 45:46It had to have been like a chorus of people whispering in
- 45:50my ears, both sides, like coming from nowhere and yet everywhere.
- 45:56And you know, I was a bit older at this point.
- 45:58I was, you know, 15 going on 16. And I remember it scared me so
- 46:04bad that I didn't, I wouldn't sleep in my room for the next
- 46:08like I'll be like 2 weeks pretty much until I got sick of
- 46:12sleeping on the couch. And I finally kind of like
- 46:15convinced myself to go back up there.
- 46:18So that that was one of them. As an adult, the girl that I
- 46:24dated at that time that I had been dating since high school
- 46:27and then into early adulthood, I believe she developed
- 46:31schizophrenia. It ran in her family, but she
- 46:36began to develop into a person that I couldn't recognize.
- 46:41It wasn't the person that I had been in love with.
- 46:43I mean, I remember looking into her eyes and I, I wasn't able to
- 46:46recognize her anymore. It got that bad.
- 46:49Whether that was related to anything that could have been in
- 46:52the house or not, I'm not totally sure.
- 46:55But the what I would consider the genuine paranormal
- 46:58experiences that followed us breaking up and her moving out,
- 47:03you know, I was all of a sudden by myself in this big house.
- 47:07And with that, I do think there comes a little bit of a level of
- 47:12anxiety. And I have anxiety problems
- 47:15ANYWAYS, so I will admit that. But I would hear essentially
- 47:22what sounded like someone breaking in, you know, a lot of
- 47:27nights. And it started to freak me out
- 47:31to the points where, and I didn't have AI, didn't have a
- 47:33gun at the time. All I had was this, I call it a
- 47:37Rambo knife. It's just like a big military
- 47:39knife to where I was sleeping upstairs and sleeping with that
- 47:44knife in case, you know, if someone really was breaking in,
- 47:47they would have to deal with me when they got upstairs if they
- 47:51chose to come upstairs. There was one night where it was
- 47:54storming really, really hard. And I remember kind of having
- 47:59that feeling and that it was freaking me out.
- 48:02You know, the power went out for a short while.
- 48:06And I remember going downstairs and, you know, like, knife in
- 48:11hand, anxieties through the roof.
- 48:14I'd heard like, banging. I'd heard what sounded like
- 48:16someone was like pulling on the door.
- 48:19This time the back door was pulled all the way open.
- 48:24Like it was completely flung open.
- 48:26There's lightning lighting up the backyard.
- 48:28It's it's pouring rain and I remember, I mean a, being
- 48:34freaked out, but B, trying to find whoever had caused that.
- 48:40And there was nothing, There was no footsteps in the mud.
- 48:45Obviously there wasn't anyone there.
- 48:47There was no evidence that there was anyone there.
- 48:49And I had dead. I always deadbolt at that door
- 48:53because there was, it was a shotgun style house, the front
- 48:56door and the back door that those are the only interests
- 49:00entrances aside from, you know, obviously the the windows and
- 49:04that type of thing. That was strange.
- 49:07Whether it was truly paranormal or not, I'm not sure, but it
- 49:10definitely was worth mentioning. And then there was one other
- 49:14time where it was just me. And at this point I had kind of
- 49:20gotten a little more comfortable with living by myself.
- 49:24My room, I had moved it downstairs and kind of like in
- 49:30the master bedroom that was if you'd walked in the front door
- 49:34would have been on the right hand side of the house.
- 49:37But I remember feeling some dark feelings in that room as well.
- 49:40Just in the house in general. And one night when I was
- 49:44sleeping I remember being woken up to what felt like something
- 49:48biting my neck. I still to this day I don't
- 49:52fully know if it was like 1/2 dream state.
- 49:55Or what have you. Because it was just me and my
- 49:58cat care that lived there at the time.
- 50:01But I remember this was like midwinter and I remember kind of
- 50:08waking up or being in that dream state and going outside of my
- 50:14front door and just standing there and then eventually making
- 50:19my way back inside. Which if that was a dream, that
- 50:22would have been extremely strange.
- 50:25You know, obviously I can't prove that it did or didn't
- 50:28happen. But upon waking up to feeling
- 50:33like I was being bit in the neck, I remember feeling around
- 50:37my neck. And in there, there to the right
- 50:40of the bed, there was a big closet that had mirror doors.
- 50:44So I remember looking into the mirror doors and there was just
- 50:48enough light coming from the Internet box to where you could
- 50:51kind of make things out. And I remember seeing this like
- 50:54little, I don't even know how to describe it.
- 50:57It was like a, it was like a little like gargoyle creature
- 51:01that was on my neck. And I remember pulling it off of
- 51:04my neck and then all of a sudden it wasn't there that I was like,
- 51:08I didn't even know. Like I thought I, I had to have
- 51:10been dreaming or something. And I very well could have been
- 51:15to tell you the truth, but those are the only parent what I would
- 51:20consider paranormal esque things that happened living in the
- 51:23Millwood house aside from some hypnagogic hallucinations with
- 51:29Megan after she moved in quite some time later.
- 51:35So with that being said, I have had other experiences as an
- 51:39adult, some pretty recent ones actually, like this year and
- 51:43even last year. I'll I'll cover those in due
- 51:47time. I hope all around you guys have
- 51:50enjoyed my storytelling and just my rambling and just kind of how
- 51:55Mystery Archives came to be, as well as getting into my
- 51:58experiences. It's been really therapeutic and
- 52:02really cathartic, as I previously said in the last
- 52:05video, to be able to kind of talk about this stuff and come
- 52:11to terms with it as an adult. And that's everything from the
- 52:16dysfunction to, you know, the spiritual aspects to explaining
- 52:22kind of how I started Mystery Archives and all of the above.
- 52:27And again, I just want to thank you guys for being interested
- 52:30and being willing to listen. The fact that I even have anyone
- 52:34supporting me at all, this is truly mind blowing.
- 52:38So I do think that's enough of me rambling.
- 52:40I've probably repeated myself several times, but I love you
- 52:44guys. I appreciate you guys and if
- 52:47you're not already subscribed, please subscribe with
- 52:50notifications on. If you are already subscribed
- 52:53but you don't have notifications on, definitely turn those on.
- 52:57That helps me out a ton. Please leave me a comment
- 53:00letting me know what your thoughts are down below.
- 53:03And other than that, guys, I've got a bunch of new content
- 53:07planned. I am working on starting a new
- 53:10podcast, which I will announce soon.
- 53:13That'll just coincide with the content that I already make here
- 53:16on the channel. And yeah, again, just thank you
- 53:19guys so much for everything and I'll see you soon.
- 53:24It's been coded here at Ministry Archives.
- 53:26Definitely stay safe out there and take care.
- 53:29I'll see you next time.
