- 0:18podcast housed under this network. Welcome aboard to trial attorney Mario Galucci. You
- 0:25could find the first episode in the link below and the channel in the link
- 0:31below in this description, so welcome aboard, mister Galucci. Look forward to
- 0:35working with you. Great first episode and so much more to come. Now,
- 0:42there are a lot of things on my mind today. Firstly is this
- 0:46article I wrote on the writings of Alex Garrett, and the basis of this
- 0:56is that I'm kinda tired of I don't want to be abrasive or cause about
- 1:07this. I'm tired of loved ones and close friends and family passing away at
- 1:12such a fast rate. And yet I'm thankful that we get to do this
- 1:19podcast and continue the legacy of those who have gone before us. This year's
- 1:27been tough. Losing Max and my dad have not been easy, and it
- 1:32still will never be easy. But I wrote what I wrote on my word
- 1:38Press because I had to get out in the open. Then I'm tired.
- 1:42I'm tired of feeling like there's a how do I say, feeling an obligation
- 2:02to memorialize those before us every month, So I'm going to try and tailor
- 2:08it in twenty twenty four to the special days because we in every month.
- 2:15I feel like makes my page look more morbid than positive. And I always
- 2:22like to keep an upbeat thing on my feeds, as you know Alex G,
- 2:27NYC one and elsewhere. But when you suffer loss like that, it's
- 2:34not always going to be easy. So here's what I wrote in my article
- 2:44for Thanksgiving Week titled Tired but Thankful. If you indulge me, I would
- 2:51like to share this with you and really put what I put to pen to
- 3:01paper from paper to now the microphone. I wrote. Since losing my best
- 3:09friend Max Gold in January and my dad in April, doing what I can
- 3:15to continue their legacy has been an undertaking I lovingly take on. I'm praying,
- 3:22however, that everyone has good health heading into the holiday season that definitely
- 3:27includes mental health. I've always enjoyed posting positive moments and events, and I
- 3:32felt that posting memories of those gone before us have my my page a bit
- 3:37morbid. In twenty twenty four, I work on balancing carry on legacies and
- 3:43posting positive thoughts and memory and moments in the now. But to be honest,
- 3:49I'm thankful this Thanksgiving that I've had my family, my mom, my
- 3:53stepdad, Vic, my sister Abby, my aunts, my cousins, all
- 3:58of them. Of course, my fiance Gabriella, my group of friends and
- 4:02colleagues, and of course covering the winning teams of Queen's College athletics this last
- 4:09few months have all helped me not totally fall apart these last few months.
- 4:15Growing up in adulting is shouldering loss of loved ones the best I can,
- 4:20while being thankful I can tell the stories of those before us and still be
- 4:26able to write my own story each day onward and upward with gratitude this Thanksgiving
- 4:34twenty twenty three. So yes, there is a bit of sadness that I
- 4:41won't be able to truberate Thanksgiving with my dad this year. But to still
- 4:46be here seven months later, with what I'd like to think is a sane
- 4:55mind and still balanced ed sound character has kept me uplifted and not falling apart
- 5:21entirely so when doctor and Menda Williams asked me about that on invite health this
- 5:28past week, and I said, yeah, I'm gonna be wrang about it
- 5:30and say I'm thankful to have him fallen apart, because I feel like anybody
- 5:35that loses a parent will eventually fall apart. And maybe maybe there's a breakdown
- 5:42and a half. I don't know. The more I keep talking about it,
- 5:46the more I keep imoralizing it him, the more I keep this podcast
- 5:56going. That's the way I've been grieving. To be honest with you,
- 6:02to be very wrong with you. It's a form of grief. I've come
- 6:13to understand that. Ass Now, what I'd like to do is have a
- 6:23clearer mindset so that every month I'm able to just live life and say and
- 6:31know, this is tough. On the day my dad passed, the date
- 6:36I should say, the fifteenth, I want to heal from that day,
- 6:44not get sucked into it all the time on the fifteenth of every month.
- 6:53And I'm thinking that will happen in time. But in a year where we've
- 7:00lost a lot in this nation, we lost Matthew Perry, We've lost different
- 7:11people throughout the year, I think there's still a factor of thankfulness and gratitude
- 7:19that, yes, we may have lost a loved one, but we didn't
- 7:27get so deep into that loss that we harmed ourselves, because that's the ultimate
- 7:39thing that those who go before us would not want. My dad would not
- 7:46want me to lose myself in my everyday life because of him. Max would
- 7:57not want us as his peers and is being more than a brother and more
- 8:03than a classmate, but a brother, weould not want us to lose ourselves
- 8:07because we lost him. He would and my dad would want us to carry
- 8:13on. And so that's what we're gonna do on this podcast is carry on
- 8:16the best we can and be thankful for who we have around us and what
- 8:22we have, and let God decide where our destination is next. Not try
- 8:33and take destiny to our honds, our hands, but trust that God has
- 8:37a destiny for all of us. And once we see that destiny, once
- 8:41we see that path, we go and act on that. As I've said
- 8:46before, every instinct is a sign from God, is a calling from God.
- 8:54Every instinct I am firmly in belief for that. Are you? And
- 9:05when you follow these things, aren't you happier? Don't you feel like,
- 9:09Oh, my God, I followed my gut and I feel so much better
- 9:13that I did. Sometimes we don't know why the gut says get off this
- 9:18training or get on this train. Sometimes we don't know why our gut says
- 9:26propose, but we know it's saying it for a reason, for a good,
- 9:31positive reason, right, because we need to make those decisions, small
- 9:39or big. That's God calling you to make that decision. I'm a firm
- 9:43belief for that, and we should thank God and in prayer and supplication and
- 9:56thanksgiving as the psalm goes, as the reading goes. But the study I'm
- 10:13about to tell you, the survey I'm about to tell you, is fascinating
- 10:16to me. See the Wall Street Journal had released a survey from Mercer and
- 10:30Empower saying that employers are playing an increase of three point nine percent in twenty
- 10:41twenty four. But this is the most astounding stat I'm gonna give you this
- 10:50in the link below. In the Empower survey, which actually has my four
- 10:54oh one k. By the way, americans said that to be happy they
- 10:58would need an almost fifty percent raise. That's a huge raise. But then
- 11:09I think of Thanksgiving and isn't the whole idea of being thankful and being happy?
- 11:13The family life, the fact we have a home, a roof under
- 11:16our head or over our head, the fact we have loved ones we can
- 11:22count on every day. Isn't that what should make us happy? When did
- 11:35happiness become defined by money? Maybe for some it has, but I would
- 11:43say that to have a job, to have an income, there should be
- 12:01gratitude for that. There should be gratitude for that. And so I find
- 12:11it amazing that in this economy there's gonna be a raise of three point nine
- 12:16percent in twenty twenty four for not a union employees about its astounding as Americans
- 12:22saying they would need a fifty percent raise. But that's not what Thanksgiving is
- 12:30about. And that's why so many people are stressed out because of the money,
- 12:37when we need a factor in the time with loved ones, the effort,
- 12:45the rolling up our sleeves should make us happy also. And pray in
- 12:50that for prayer and supplication. Pray on that, pray that your work,
- 12:56your effort, your willingness to show up every day gets rewarded, and that
- 13:03God sees it, because I feel he does, and he will reward you,
- 13:07and he will see it, and we have to be thankful for that.
- 13:11He does see it for prayer and supplication, this thanksgiving, even though
- 13:26we don't see it, he sees it. And that's the best reward of
- 13:30all is when God is looking out for you. That's what we need to
- 13:37be thankful for at the end of the day. But the survey saying that
- 13:43we need a raise, well, when I'm not working hard first and then
- 13:50getting the raise, that's the goal. But read that article in the Wallsteret
- 13:58Journalists. It's pretty interesting stuff, pretty interesting stuff. Now that being said,
- 14:09I want to tell you, I want to say I was gonna tell
- 14:13you, but I've made with survey Junkie a lifetime of twenty five dollars eighty
- 14:20five cents. I'm getting a fifty dollars mark. I'm gonna get there,
- 14:22and you can too. You can make that with surveys after survey after survey,
- 14:31and then of course at the five dollar minium you can redeem. But
- 14:33I think you should aim for more. And what survey junkie does it actually
- 14:39connects you to other surveys with other platforms. So I'm gonna again gonna post
- 14:46this link up, share the invite, and then maybe when you redeem,
- 15:01I also get get a win here, so I'll send you that, I'll
- 15:07send you my affiliate link with them as well, and then of course maybe
- 15:11i'll send you in this podcast link below another Fanatics link, because I just
- 15:18dropped one for the Kelly Green Irish jerseys. You know, the Irish had
- 15:22a huge win over the weekend, massive win over the weekend, and I
- 15:30was excited about that one because it was against wake Forest at home Sam Hartman
- 15:39against his former team, Hartman throwing darts, I want to say, and
- 15:50watching that kid throw is awesome. And I'm wearing my Giants today because Tavino
- 15:56gotta win. They finally got a win. I know it's against Washington,
- 16:00but hey, it wins a win, Gussy win. Talk about with Lou
- 16:04Turmanilo tomorrow. I'm still, for the first time ever turned off by the
- 16:12NFL entirely because and yes, because the local teams not doing great. Even
- 16:18the bills are not what they are usually. I know they beat the Jets
- 16:23tramps him yesterday, causing Dach Wilson to be bench, but look, look,
- 16:32they are not who they are normally on a yearly basis. Can we
- 16:37say that about the bills. I think we can, so Yeah, NFL
- 16:44season not been my go to. I don't even want to talk about the
- 16:48Rangers because the moment I start hyping up a team, they start stinking up
- 16:52the joint. I don't want to be that guy that help that jinx is
- 16:56the Rangers because they're doing so well. But they are, and they're not
- 17:00on the back pages, but they're your winning horse right now in New York
- 17:04City sports. They really are. We'll get to that with Terminalo's take tomorrow.
- 17:12But what makes you happy? What makes you thankful this Thanksgiving? Shoot
