Transcript
- 0:06[SPEAKER_00]: Jacksonville jackwars fans welcome in to do full daily presented by jing Jack dot com i'm jordan lua thanks so much for being here Tuesday november fourth and it is trade deadline day in the nfl the jack wars have been one of the teams if you've been paying close attention that have been heavily linked to potential trade deadline deals heading into this this and i felt trade deadline and
- 0:31[SPEAKER_00]: I think there's a number of different factors to weigh when you talk about the trade deadline.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to be buyers or sellers, where's your team at right now, where's this season going, like what direction is the team heading?
- 0:45[SPEAKER_00]: how much future draft capital do you have, cap space, et cetera, all these things are definitely factors.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_00]: So we're going to kind of take a look at all that, take a look at some positions, the Jack Wars could be interested in, potentially.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_00]: So what we're going to do here, trade deadline day, really appreciate y'all being here.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_00]: If you enjoy the content, please like and subscribe.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_00]: You can also check out jingyag.com, pick up some new dovall gear, help support the channel, look good while doing it.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_00]: So it's 4pm Eastern time.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_00]: Today, 2 January, November 4th is the trade deadline.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_00]: So anything that happens in theory, it's going to be announced prior to that.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_00]: I think that that's pretty much how it goes.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't be surprised to hear anything from the jag wars between now and while I'm
- 1:38[SPEAKER_00]: up until close to the deadline.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_00]: I do think that the Jaguars should be active.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_00]: I think that the Jaguars are in a position at 5 and 3.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_00]: When you look at the FC, when you look at the FC South, they are in a position to compete for the division.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_00]: They're in a position to compete for the playoffs, for the wild card.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_00]: I think that they could really use some help to do that.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_00]: Anytime, in my opinion, that you have an opportunity.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_00]: to compete for the playoffs.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_00]: I think you should probably be aggressive.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_00]: Now, you don't need to be aggressive to the point where
- 2:17[SPEAKER_00]: you're hamstringing yourself in the future.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_00]: But if you can tow that line between being too aggressive and hamstringing yourself and taking away too much future assets and also improving now, that's really what you're trying to do as James Lads Stone, the GM and everybody else's decision makers for the Jag Wars.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_00]: The Jag Wars do have a ton of picks to potentially trade, and you look at
- 2:49[SPEAKER_00]: I doubt they would move a second rounder because they only have one, but 2026 is not the only draft or you can trade picks for future picks beyond 2026 would not be as valuable in a trade, but they have a ton of picks in the third round and beyond.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_00]: So all of that should be fair game in my opinion, to try to improve your football team, when it comes to cap space, there's a number of different moves the Jaguars can make to create cap space.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_00]: Both, they've already done that for 2025, but 2026 and beyond.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of different things that you can do to maneuver the cap if you feel like you're in a window to win your division, compete for championship, et cetera.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't think anybody would confuse what the Jaguars are right now.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_00]: with a Super Bowl contender, but could they make a couple moves, could they get healthy, could they gel at the right spots to potentially make them a team that could be in the final four of the AFC of the NFL.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe I wouldn't put that out of the realm of possibility.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_00]: You've seen flashes of it this year for a five and three Jaguar's team.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_00]: You've seen flashes of good play
- 4:06[SPEAKER_00]: Can you get it a little bit more consistent in a few areas?
- 4:11[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe a trade helps you there.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_00]: Again, the Jaguars are 5 and 3.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_00]: Colts just lost a game.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_00]: They play the Colts twice.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
- 4:20[SPEAKER_00]: That's who's winning the division right now.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_00]: They're 7 and 2.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_00]: Jags 5 and 3.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_00]: They only have one more loss than the Colts.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_00]: And they play the Colts twice.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_00]: They also play the Texans.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_00]: They play the Titans twice.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_00]: play the Cardinals who did just beat the Cowboys, they play the Jets, they've got some winnable games on their schedule, on paper, and then the difficult games are the Colts, the Broncos, Chargers, they're dealing with major injuries on their offensive line as well, they're top two tackles out, so I mean, and that's
- 4:53[SPEAKER_00]: That was one of the biggest advantages they had in the NFL, the Charters.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_00]: We don't need to go down that rabble too much, but you know, losing Joe Alt, and obviously your other starting left tackle, one of the best in the business for the whole season, you didn't have him at all this year.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_00]: Now, Joe Alt is out for the year, I mean, yeah, they're
- 5:12[SPEAKER_00]: more beatable than they would have been on paper.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_00]: And that's in Jacksonville.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_00]: So the Jack Wars have a path to the playoffs in front of them.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_00]: They have a path to winning the division in front of them.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_00]: Beat the Colts.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_00]: Bottom line.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_00]: Beat the Colts.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_00]: And you have a really good chance to win your division.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_00]: If you play winning football, if you beat yourself a little bit less.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, the Jack Wars, I think, should be in on being buyers at the trade deadline.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_00]: I still think that they need more past rush, pretty big.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_00]: Like we talked about this yesterday.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_00]: Josh Hines Allen is a very, very, very good past rusher.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_00]: Trayvon Walker is a good rusher when healthy and when on the field and not punching guys in the face.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_00]: Beyond that, Eric Armstrong said is only a volume shooter in my opinion, he makes him big plays, but you know, it takes a lot of reps to get those big plays out of him, and you really don't have anything else consistent in the past rest department.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_00]: Go get another Russia.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_00]: There's a number of guys, I'll start with two guys that
- 6:18[SPEAKER_00]: have made plays for the Jaguars.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_00]: Arden key in Calais Campbell.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_00]: I know Arden key spurned a lot of Jaguars fans, made a lot of Jaguars fans mad, but he's a guy who can play.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_00]: He's a guy who could help the Jaguars out and help them make their past rush a little bit more dangerous and make it back to the postseason.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_00]: We've seen he can be a clutch player as well, but Calais Campbell would be huge.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_00]: I think Colleys Campbell playing next to Eric Armstrong's dead with Josh Hines Allen and Trayvon Walker on the edges could be really dangerous.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_00]: And then also the fact that Devon Lloyd will be back very soon.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_00]: I think Eric Murray hopefully will be back soon.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_00]: I think Jordan Lewis hopefully will be back soon.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_00]: Defensively, a lot can get a lot better, really quickly, especially if you add some talent upfront and create a little bit more past rush.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_00]: You've also got, it sounds like Anthony Jennings is potentially somebody that the Patriots would move on from.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_00]: You look at just the bottom of the AFC and the bottom of the NFL in general.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_00]: The Titans are one of those teams at the bottom.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_00]: They're obviously in a transition, transitionary period.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_00]: Could they be willing to move on, like we said, Arden Key, I doubt Jeffrey Simmons, but I'd be figuring out what it would take for sure.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely, maybe it doesn't work out, or probably won't work out for anybody, but you never know, you have to try to figure it out.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_00]: When you look at the jets, Quinn and Williams is in the same category as like Jeffrey Simmons, right?
- 7:54[SPEAKER_00]: Probably no chance of it happening, but you should at least try.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_00]: See what you can do there, but could Will McDonald or Germaine Johnson be available via trade for the jets.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_00]: You look at other teams at the bottom of the league, Dolphins.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_00]: Bradley Chub, could he be available?
- 8:15[SPEAKER_00]: Sounds like he is.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_00]: Is he the player he once was?
- 8:18[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_00]: But, could he help your pass rush?
- 8:21[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_00]: Zack Seeler.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_00]: Same thing.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_00]: With the dolphins.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_00]: More of an interior guy, but could he help your pass rush?
- 8:29[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_00]: You look at the browns.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_00]: I know the Jaguars and Browns.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_00]: They've been like trading buddies all year.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_00]: Millie Collins?
- 8:38[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, there's some guys to potentially look out there.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_00]: My league columns would be great.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know how much I need to keep going on here.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_00]: The Eagles would have been a team and other team that the Jaguars have shown the ability to trade with that I would have been potentially interested in trading with for an edge or a defensive front player, but they have a rash of injuries.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_00]: They went out and got Jalen Phillips.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like looking through the depth chart as does that mean maybe somebody could be available but you've got all these guys on IR.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't know about that with the Eagles.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_00]: There's other positions we're gonna look at as well.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_00]: First, got to remind y'all about underdog football.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_00]: It is the best place to make picks and win money all season long, playing on underdog is easy.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_00]: Just pick whether your favorite players will go higher or lower on stats like touchdowns receiving arts, interceptions, and more.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_00]: Next stop Thursday night football.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_00]: And you can now make team picks on underdog.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_00]: I was a very successful doing that last night.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_00]: I picked the Cowboys, but Raiders at Broncos, I think you know where I'm going with that one.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_00]: Download the app today and sign up with promo code Doveau Daily.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_00]: Just score $100 in bonus funds when you play your first five dollars.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_00]: That's promo code Doveau Daily.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_00]: Underdog, make picks, win money, must be 18 plus, 90 plus an Alabama and Nebraska, 19 plus an Colorado for some games, 21 plus an Arizona, Massachusetts, and Virginia.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_00]: And present at state where underdog fantasy operates, terms apply, see assets dot underdog fantasy dot com forward slash web forward slash play and get terms underscored DFS underscored.html for details, offer not valid in Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.

- 10:31[SPEAKER_00]: past rush yes and there's more names than i just mentioned i just think there are so many potential places the jack wars need to be calling seeing if there's interest doing your homework on the best fits and i have absolute confidence that james latso is doing that and it is possible the jack wars exit today without having made a trade without being buyers i think that would be pretty disappointing though i really do
- 10:59[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know that this team is going to put all the pieces together to be a real contender without making some moves.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_00]: And now, if the offense does get out of their way, their own way, a little bit with the penalties, with the drops, with the slow starts for Trevor Lawrence.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_00]: They could carry a team, and they could put the defense in positions to kind of become that defense that can force the turnovers and capitalize.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_00]: If the Jack Wars can start getting out to fast starts again, I think that they could potentially make noise even with the group that they have.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_00]: But I do not think that they are like a championship contender unless they are able to make some impactful moves here today.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_00]: I think one of those things you're looking at with Travis Hunter and the uncertainty of he'll even be able to play again this year.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_00]: Wide receiver, Brian Thomas Jr. is banged up, he's dealt with wrist, shoulder ankle injuries this year, ankles the most recent one he did try to gut it out through that.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_00]: against the Raiders this past week, Deami Brown has dealt with shoulder, he now has a concussion.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, you do have Parker Washington who is a nice role player for you, but I don't think you should want him to be a top-to-receiver.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_00]: You got issues, temperature, groin injury.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_00]: Another one of your best pass catchers, Britain Strange, was your best pass catcher before he got injured.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_00]: He's still on IR, how long will he be out, hopefully only another week or so.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_00]: But I think the Jaguar should absolutely be exploring the past catcher market when you look at wider receiver teams that are down bad right now.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_00]: Chris O'Lave, Rashid Shaheed for the Saints, we've talked about those guys, I would love either one of them.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_00]: Jacobi Myers is not a lot of rumor and scuttle but about you know Jacobi Myers and the Jaguar is potentially Jaguar's obviously just played the Raiders.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_00]: I think that that would be a really good fit.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_00]: I want guys that catch the damn ball.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_00]: If you're a great athlete, can get deep all those things like Chris O'Loving and Rashid Jihad.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_00]: Great.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_00]: But I would take Jacobi Myers all day because he can just get the job done.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_00]: He can be a chain mover.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_00]: He can be a reliable player.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_00]: I'll take one deal Robinson, you know, Liam Cohen knows one deal Robinson very well.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_00]: I think Gus Logue tweeted about Ron one deal this morning and you know he's not like
- 13:23[SPEAKER_00]: The ideal prototype size outside receiver, right?
- 13:27[SPEAKER_00]: But can you figure out ways to utilize him and utilize that skill set?
- 13:32[SPEAKER_00]: He's a really good guy with the ball in his hands.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_00]: He is a potential chain mover for you.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_00]: And he has shown very reliable hands throughout most of his career as well.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_00]: Much more reliable than what we've been seeing from Jack Wars receivers this year.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_00]: Not named Travis Hunter, Brenton Strange.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_00]: Parker, his hands have been a little inconsistent.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_00]: He had a really good game on Sunday, but you would be getting an upgrade in the hands department with Chris O'Lavey, Rashid Jihad, Jkobi Myers, Wondell Robinson.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe one of those Packers receivers is available.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_00]: There's been a lot of talk about that potentially.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_00]: I doubt you could get
- 14:17[SPEAKER_00]: Or even does it even make sense to get a player the caliber of Jalen Waddle Seems like that one's unlikely
- 14:29[SPEAKER_00]: And again, with, you know, how much you have tied up investment wise with Travis Hunter and Brian Thomas Jr. does a player of that caliber makes sense.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't be mad to see him though.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_00]: That's dang sure.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Jackworth could use safety help to and the thing about safety is in similar to wider silver.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars do have a lot of assets at that position, beyond 2025.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_00]: When you look at Eric Murray, when you look at Caleb Ransaw, Rayon Lane, those guys feel like they're in the Jaguars plans for the future, for at least 2026, obviously Ransaw and Lane, beyond that, but Murray for at least 2026, you would think.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_00]: You're probably looking at Eric Murray.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Jaguars wanted it to be Eric Murray and Caleb Ransal as their starters this year.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_00]: Caleb Ransal got hurt and he's a guy that I think has the range to be a free safety.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_00]: And the playmaking and the ability to come down hill from distance and strike the ball carrier, do a lot of different things for you, but that didn't work out this year.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't think you're adding a safety for the future, I think if you added a safety it would be to get through this year Eric Murray again dealing with the neck injury that's problematic because you're having to get Antonio Johnson and do we wing it on the field together and that has not been good.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_00]: Neither of those guys can really play deep safety Antonio Johnson can't cover you know very well and do we really is better closer to the line of scrimmages we've talked about for a couple years now.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_00]: I think they could use safety help if they could find it.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_00]: I really do.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_00]: And you might be able to find safety help on the open market right now.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_00]: You know, my not even have to trade for one, potentially.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_00]: But I would not be against trading for one to help fortify that back end.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_00]: And then depending on when Britain's strange is scheduled to get back, I think that they're encouraged about the progress there.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_00]: They could definitely use help at Tide End as well.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_00]: And maybe they could also use help at Tide End.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe they wanted to be a more of a 12-person L team.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe that could help them out.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe that could help the run game out.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_00]: If you went and got another tie-in that could really be an impact player beyond, you know, hunter-long, just, he's too up and down, really.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_00]: That's been the bottom line with him.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_00]: He's been inconsistent.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_00]: Johnny Month has been pretty bad.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_00]: So, I don't know.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe you could add a tight end that can be a little bit of a balanced player for you.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_00]: That could really help change the offense for the better in my opinion.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_00]: Definitely if you found a guy who could at least be a run blocker in a big way, that could help you get out more 12 personnel, run the ball, continue running the ball, all that stuff.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_00]: Those are the positions that I'd be really focused on.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what the Jaguars are going to do.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_00]: To me, it seems like defensive front, past Russia.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_00]: and receiver would be the most likely positions, but that remains to be seen.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_00]: We'll have to see how the rest of today goes and we'll be locked in, stand up on it.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_00]: So anytime any news happens here with the Jaguars and the Trade Deadline, again, 4pm Eastern, we will be on it for you.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_00]: Really appreciate y'all supporting the channel.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_00]: If you enjoy the content, please like and subscribe.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_00]: Y'all have a good one.
