At first, that was part of the fun. A flickering lamp, an opening drawer, a few strange noises—exactly the kind of harmless activity they had hoped for. Then the atmosphere changed.
Something knocked from an empty room next door. A woman in old-fashioned clothing appeared in the hallway. And as the night wore on, the activity seemed to move closer a
