  away at God, you know, and all that he's done and his
• 1:56
  faithfulness just to to so many people, you know, to me.

  But then also to so many people, it's humbling.

  You know, when you see so many people like worshipping God,
• 2:07
  when you see so many people telling their testimonies about
• 2:10
  what God has done in their lives, like it's it really
• 2:13
  energizes our faith and it helps us stand firm when we hear other
• 2:17
  testimonies we overcome by the blood of the I am in the word of
• 2:20
  Our Testimony. So so it's so important that we
• 2:24
  share what God has done in our lives so that we can give hope
• 2:28
  and encouragement to others. That's right.
• 2:32
  Yes, that's why we do this podcast this, why I exist,
• 2:37
  right? So that we can share our stories
• 2:40
  so that nobody feels like they're all alone in this and
• 2:43
  that we have our hope in Jesus to get us through anything,
• 2:49
  okay? So I was Just curious since this
• 2:52
  is airing and the beginning of the year here, do you do the
• 2:57
  word for your year? And if you do, what is that
• 3:01
  word? Yes, great great opening.
• 3:04
  So yeah, so word for the year kind of, you know, prayed about
• 3:08
  it and I felt like, God gave me the word valued and, you know,
• 3:12
  goes back to, you know, the a couple verses in Proverbs.
• 3:15
  But mainly you know how wisdom is more precious than rubies
• 3:19
  more valued than Ruby? Bees and you know, the
• 3:22
  importance of God's wisdom in our lives.
• 3:25
  So and it also goes back to also knowing like your value knowing
• 3:31
  your worth in Christ and I think that that's something God has
• 3:34
  been working on me for years. Just, you know, I got saved in
• 3:40
  2012, but God really walked me through a healing process over
• 3:46
  the past couple of years and it Piggybacks on kind of what he's
• 3:52
  been doing in me over the past couple of years and that like
• 3:56
  your vet, your value daughter, like you are valued like yeah.
• 4:00
  Like stop you and yourself as you know, second-rate or not
• 4:04
  good enough and you know, that's that's a stronghold that that I
• 4:08
  really had to allow God to break off of me since childhood, you
• 4:14
  know, just never feeling worthy, never feeling good enough, never
• 4:18
  being the popular one or the cool one or Fitting in like, you
• 4:21
  know, that rejection was always something that that I came
• 4:26
  across throughout my life. So, yeah, that word valued is
• 4:31
  something that I just felt like, God kept whispering to me
• 4:34
  towards the end of the year, that, that was my word just
• 4:37
  knowing your value. And then also being able to, you
• 4:41
  know, help others see, their value, like like Speak Life into
• 4:46
  women specifically like women, you know, who, you know, maybe,
• 4:50
  We have have also had you know maybe a rough childhood or never
• 4:55
  understood you know who they were in God and how God sees
• 4:59
  them. Mmm, I love that.
• 5:01
  And I think that's a hard one to wrap our minds around think that
• 5:07
  kind of it's attached to how much he loves us.
• 5:11
  I mean it's like his love for us is you know, deeper than the
• 5:15
  sea. I mean, it's trying to wrap our
• 5:17
  mind around that and how much we Are valued by him and loved by
• 5:22
  him and what a good word for you.
• 5:25
  And what a good reminder and goes along with that verse about
• 5:31
  how much he cares for us how much he values us.
• 5:33
  I look at a value carry more than The Sparrows and you know,
• 5:39
  and and and the lilies even I mean it's just it can go on and
• 5:42
  on there's so much about his expression of how much he values
• 5:48
  us, and I just think it's so great.
• 5:50
  And just incredible and hard to even, you know, grass all of
• 5:57
  what he feels of us, you know? It's just from.
• 6:01
  Yeah. I think your Jamie, you know,
• 6:02
  and, you know, I think like, throughout our lives, we we get
• 6:08
  put like, we, it's almost like people put these, you know,
• 6:12
  whether it's labels on us or they put these expectations on
• 6:17
  us, or they put or even, you know, and then And then we kind
• 6:21
  of internalized those whether it's labels or expectations or
• 6:24
  whatever it is like we and them taking them on and then we live
• 6:29
  out out of those expectations of those limitations that other
• 6:34
  people have placed on us and then we have then like decided
• 6:38
  oh yeah this is true. This is this is true because he
• 6:41
  they thought it, he thought it, she thought it, you know what,
• 6:44
  whoever whatever it is it's like okay.
• 6:46
  Well yeah that I guess that's that's just who I am.
• 6:50
  But no, like Gods like this is what I say, this is my writer.
• 6:54
  This is what I say about you, you're a daughter.
• 6:57
  You're a daughter of the most high you are forgiven.
• 6:59
  It doesn't matter what you've done in your past, everything's
• 7:02
  under the blood of Jesus, everything is canceled, you
• 7:05
  know, you confessed it, you canceled it, you are set free,
• 7:09
  you are no longer bound to anything in your past.
• 7:12
  That is trying to hold you back from where I want to take you
• 7:16
  where God wants to take you. It is far.
• 7:20
  Beyond your wildest dreams. We just have to learn to trust
• 7:24
  that he has the better solution hit.
• 7:28
  His will is better. We think that we oh yeah I'm
• 7:31
  gonna you know try and figure this out over here but he's like
• 7:34
  no no you know I know I know the plans I have for you I know the
• 7:37
  plan for that I are good not to harm you but to prosper you and
• 7:43
  I just I just know that. Yeah, like knowing knowing your
• 7:48
  value and Christ is physics. Dreamily valuable for every
• 7:52
  individual to know that to really like fit in that and
• 7:56
  known spend that time before God because that's another thing to
• 7:59
  like just, you know, making sure that in order to know that were
• 8:03
  valued, we need to spend time with the one that values us.
• 8:06
  We need to try it. Yes.
• 8:08
  You know. And yeah I get so like the
• 8:11
  street you know with work and like I think we all do.
• 8:13
  We get like pulled in a million different directions, the world
• 8:16
  and and but it's like Never I sit before him like and and just
• 8:23
  settle, you know, before his presence.
• 8:25
  It's like, Everything Changes, Everything Changes, when we sit
• 8:28
  before him, and let him speak to our heart and just be still and
• 8:33
  be silent and know that he is. God changes everything.
• 8:36
  And I'm thinking of not just know but believe it, you know,
• 8:40
  to really believe. And yeah, and just let it take
• 8:44
  root in your heart, just like you're saying really sick with
• 8:48
  it. Okay.
• 8:49
  So, Hi, I would love for you to share with us a little bit about
• 8:55
  yourself. And where does your testimony
• 8:59
  begin? Where did you see God?
• 9:02
  Really come into your life and transform you and get you
• 9:08
  through some of those Darkest Days?
• 9:11
  Yeah, yeah. So from New Jersey, I have an
• 9:14
  amazing husband and son and I do work full time.
• 9:20
  I'm now but I'm also a writer. And yeah, I started well I
• 9:26
  didn't start anything. God found me in 2012, he found
• 9:32
  me. He was like, okay, you're coming
• 9:34
  with me? Came across somebody, well, just
• 9:39
  to go back to my childhood, so kind of, you know, a divorced
• 9:43
  family, some abuse grew up in the Catholic Church.
• 9:46
  Didn't really feel connected to God, just it was kind of like,
• 9:49
  going through Motion. So I have that like, basis of
• 9:52
  religion, but it was never personal, right?
• 9:56
  And I met somebody who preach the gospel to me, in 2012 and I
• 10:01
  was like, wow, this person is really different, like it was
• 10:04
  like there was a light and they actually, like, lived out what
• 10:10
  they were saying. Like, it was, it was like a
• 10:12
  parent. It was like, holy pure, like,
• 10:15
  just just a beautiful person. And, you know, just the full
• 10:19
  God, People. So I was like, okay I like one
• 10:22
  day I was like, let me let me just pray and see see what
• 10:25
  happens to you. And and let me just, I'm just
• 10:30
  going to cry out to God. I've never really done that in
• 10:32
  my heart, like really truly cried out to him.
• 10:35
  Like it was just like, okay, God, yeah, like, he's far far
• 10:39
  away. Like you've not an intimate God
• 10:42
  anyway, so that day, that I prayed.
• 10:44
  I just felt peace. I felt a piece like this from
• 10:48
  the top of my head from to the bottom of my Be that surpasses.
• 10:52
  All understanding, never felt that in my life.
• 10:54
  Never in my life and I was like, wow, that the God, that he was
• 10:58
  talking about. The God, that is, that died on
• 11:01
  the cross for our sins. And that's the God, Jesus Is
• 11:05
  God. And, and he sees me, and he
• 11:08
  knows me like, that, that was the crazy thing to him like
• 11:11
  wheat. Like you actually, like I prayed
• 11:13
  to you and you you actually saw you heard me like that.
• 11:18
  That, that was crazy. I'm like, whoa.
• 11:20
  Are you serious? And yeah so that in an instant I
• 11:23
  was convicted of my soon. I was living with my son's
• 11:25
  father at the time out of wedlock and instantly convicted.
• 11:30
  I was like change like this. Like wow, I changed in
• 11:34
  everything. Like I still had a lot of stuff
• 11:37
  and I still you know, we I think we all are working through
• 11:40
  things but he like, I was like I can't I can't live with this man
• 11:46
  like out of like it just like the Holiness of I just hit me.
• 11:51
  Yeah and how I wasn't so yeah. So that's when things really
• 11:56
  changed and I just started really going to church and
• 11:59
  really living out the you know, the life and with God but then
• 12:04
  you know you some years go by you kind of get like you get a
• 12:06
  little lukewarm you know. And yeah.
• 12:10
  Then I was diagnosed with this tumor and immediately like when
• 12:15
  they when I went to the dentist, they pulled up an x-ray.
• 12:18
  They saw there was a mess there. Went to an oral surgeon who
• 12:22
  biopsy did and they told me it was just benign tumor that
• 12:25
  actually they don't really know how it starts.
• 12:28
  They say it could be in the womb and then it doesn't come out
• 12:31
  until later in life just super rare and and I was like I kind
• 12:36
  of knew I was like God what do you like what are we doing here?
• 12:40
  Like like this is crazy. Like this is like way out of the
• 12:44
  North like a jaw tuner like it never even heard of that and
• 12:47
  couldn't find anything on it. The ended up coming across this
• 12:52
  amazing. Girl named Kaylee, who actually
• 12:55
  had the same tumor years ago, and that was through social
• 13:00
  media. God, just like placed her like,
• 13:03
  because I was doing like hash tag searches on this and she
• 13:07
  came up and she was such a blessing because I was I was
• 13:11
  able to meet her and see her and know like look.
• 13:14
  She's okay. And she was like beautiful and
• 13:17
  just so sweet and kind. Just, you know, walking me
• 13:21
  through the process and, and that was a God thing for sure.
• 13:24
  Like placing her there, you know, long story short, they had
• 13:27
  to take nine teeth, the bone and the tumor at the same time,
• 13:34
  because if they didn't everything would like grow, they
• 13:36
  say there'd be like a 70% chance of growing back.
• 13:40
  So they took everything out and then they took a bone for my leg
• 13:43
  to implant it in my jaw so it was a tough.
• 13:47
  Yeah, it was crazy. It was yeah.
• 13:49
  Wild seven days in the, in the ICU and that's where God, God
• 13:56
  met me at like, my lowest lowest moment, unlike the sixth night
• 14:00
  there. He, I just felt that piece.
• 14:04
  I felt that piece like I had finally like surrendered and I
• 14:08
  just felt like God was like pulling so much of like the past
• 14:13
  like a lot of like the Jenna thought you accumulated.
• 14:16
  Yeah. Years like right, like, God just
• 14:20
  was really like, he just started like cleansing me and like,
• 14:23
  well, I've done a lot of partying, a lot of, you know,
• 14:26
  just not walking the right direction and God, you just
• 14:32
  cleanse me and yeah, just met me, there filled me with his
• 14:36
  peace, you know, reassured me that he was with me and, and it
• 14:43
  was crazy because, like, as I was recovering came home, you
• 14:47
  know, was at, huh? I had been out of work.
• 14:49
  Um, I just went back to work about six months ago, so I was
• 14:52
  out of work for about two years and I started writing during my
• 14:57
  healing process and that's where like the words just started
• 15:03
  pouring out. Like, I would have never thought
• 15:05
  to like become a writer. It was not something on my
• 15:08
  radar, but God, like, I started really digging into the word and
• 15:13
  God just started, like placing these words on my heart or
• 15:16
  started posting on Instagram, And yeah, he just started.
• 15:21
  That's how the ministry started. It was through that process.
• 15:25
  And yeah, it's just amazing how God can literally take like any
• 15:31
  situation. Like he can.
• 15:33
  Like I firmly believe he can take any situation and turn it
• 15:37
  for his glory. If we are, if we allow him, if
• 15:41
  we don't get bitter and we don't get angry and we don't start,
• 15:45
  you know, like blaming you know and pointing fingers and If we
• 15:50
  just really look at got to look at ourselves and say, okay, God,
• 15:54
  what do you want to do? Not why is this happening?
• 15:57
  But what do you want to do here right now in and through me?
• 16:04
  And and that's, that's what you did.
• 16:06
  You just, you just started pouring these words out.
• 16:09
  And yeah, so it was, it was about a two-year process.
• 16:13
  But God is so good. Yeah, yes and I love that.
• 16:17
  You said the word surrender. Sir because that's really where
• 16:20
  it starts. I mean there's so many people
• 16:24
  including me that you came to the point where you said, God
• 16:28
  help me. There's something about those
• 16:30
  three words and I think that's the same as surrender, right?
• 16:34
  Like in your heart, you are letting go.
• 16:37
  You're saying God. Help me.
• 16:38
  I Surrender, right? I'm like, holding up that way.
• 16:42
  I'm done. Yeah, I'm done.
• 16:44
  I'm done trying to do things my way or doing it.
• 16:49
  Lukewarm, you know, walking the fence, if whatever you want to
• 16:52
  call it, but it's it's no living at all.
• 16:56
  You know, you're all for Christ or you're not and that's and and
• 17:02
  that's the conflict that you have in your spirit.
• 17:06
  You know, it's exhausting because that was not how we were
• 17:09
  designed to live God's like no, like those are not things that
• 17:14
  are gonna lead you to life. Those are things that are going
• 17:17
  to lead you down the wrong. The wrong road, destruction and
• 17:20
  death. That's not what I want you to,
• 17:23
  you know, be going down. So it's for our own good and
• 17:28
  then once we like, just let that go and we surrender it's that
• 17:33
  freedom. I'm sure you've experienced it.
• 17:36
  Like just this, it's liberating. And you're finally just feeling
• 17:40
  set free because you're actually allowing his will to Be Your
• 17:47
  Will. And instead of the other Around
• 17:50
  and perfect example of how so many of us have experienced that
• 17:58
  kind of trajectory in our life to where we're just like, okay
• 18:01
  we're done. Lead me down the right Road.
• 18:03
  God, he's just so good. I mean it doesn't mean that we
• 18:06
  will never have, you know, long-term trouble or you know,
• 18:10
  Jesus said, take heart, you know, in this world you will you
• 18:13
  will have trouble because, you know, and I think that that's
• 18:16
  another thing to like, there's a misconception that Like yeah,
• 18:19
  you you come to Christ and everything's great.
• 18:22
  Like no. Like that's not, that's not
• 18:25
  true. Like, yes, he is our deliverer.
• 18:28
  Yes, he, he stands with us in all of our tests and trials, but
• 18:32
  it doesn't mean that they won't, you know, that they won't come
• 18:34
  and they won't hurt. Like, there we are going to, we
• 18:38
  are going to experience trouble and especially as you walk with
• 18:41
  God, it's almost like, you know, the enemy comes after you
• 18:44
  because you have a Target on your back.
• 18:45
  If you're not, if you're not walking with God, you're kind of
• 18:48
  like half step. Things like we around about, you
• 18:51
  know, you're you're kind of one foot in the world once was like
• 18:54
  there. We really are Salt and Light,
• 18:57
  you know, like like how he had intended, he meets us in our
• 19:01
  darkest moments like and shined his light into those, like
• 19:05
  really, really dark moments. So I think that's the hardest
• 19:10
  time though is, when you're in such a dark place and you have
• 19:18
  these circumstances, Dances, whatever it is that's going on
• 19:22
  your life. And the hard part is just
• 19:25
  trusting, God, that there is a purpose and all this, right?
• 19:31
  And just constantly reminding yourself, okay?
• 19:34
  I don't see it right now but I'll maybe see it later on.
• 19:39
  The reason why I'm going through this.
• 19:41
  But man, is it painful man? Is it not cool to go through
• 19:47
  this, but It's how many of us can say, like, gosh?
• 19:52
  Like that's when we felt God, the closest, right?
• 19:56
  Because that's when were just leaning into his hope.
• 20:01
  Like you said, he's our anchor and I would like you to just
• 20:06
  share with us, you know, what did you do through those times
• 20:12
  where you were going through the the healing of your face or, you
• 20:18
  know? Whatever the strongest times
• 20:21
  where you're just so desperate. For God, like, what did you do
• 20:25
  to remind yourself to trust in him?
• 20:28
  That things were going to be okay?
• 20:30
  Honestly, Jimmy was his word. Yeah.
• 20:33
  Word of God, I would open the word of God like everyday, you
• 20:38
  know, sit before God. And, like, hit the words that,
• 20:43
  you know, that are living and active sharper than any
• 20:45
  double-edged sword, that come through.
• 20:48
  You know, the pages of Bible like those are the words that
• 20:52
  kept me going like his word kept me going.
• 20:55
  He gave me first Peter and get Spurs, Peter 5 and 10 after
• 20:59
  you've suffered a little while the God of all hope will
• 21:02
  restore. You confirm, you establish, you
• 21:05
  make you move, immovable firm and steadfast like, after you've
• 21:08
  suffered, like, it's something like that.
• 21:10
  I'm not good with quoting, but and he gave me that, like, like
• 21:13
  a maybe a month or two after the surgery when I was just like,
• 21:18
  like, I couldn't even look into Mirror like my feet, you know,
• 21:20
  my face was just like, really severely deformed and just he
• 21:27
  just spoke right to my heart through his work.
• 21:30
  And I would recommend, you know, anybody that's experiencing or
• 21:35
  dark time, you know, it go to his word, his word is alive and
• 21:41
  he will speak to you, ask him to speak to your heart, ask him to
• 21:45
  show you ask him to speak and because he's always speaking
• 21:48
  through his You know, I think sometimes we think we're going
• 21:52
  to, you know, get some sort of like, you know, Revelation and
• 21:55
  hear something. And like I've never heard, you
• 21:58
  know, the voice of God like audibly.
• 22:00
  It's usually in his work through his word that I hear, you know,
• 22:04
  that then the Holy Spirit after like I've read read his word.
• 22:08
  And then like, maybe like later on the holy spirit, will bring
• 22:12
  up something that I read from the, from the scriptures and
• 22:16
  then I'm like, oh my God like that's God speaking.
• 22:19
  To through the by like it's just amazing how the holy spirit will
• 22:24
  you know bring a live those scriptures when you need them.
• 22:27
  Yeah it's so true like the daily bride.
• 22:30
  Like I've been recently hearing each your Bible heard it.
• 22:36
  I've heard it so many times. Just the beginning of this year.
• 22:39
  I'm like yes. Eat your Bible and I'm on I
• 22:43
  know, right? Because we do we need it every
• 22:47
  day. Like I can feel it.
• 22:49
  I slack off and don't read it and it's like, gosh, do you
• 22:53
  know, it's like food, we need it.
• 22:56
  We need it more than we need. It's like water to stay alive,
• 23:00
  right? And I got to say, to last year.
• 23:05
  Last summer, going through, some hard, Transitions, and some hard
• 23:09
  times. And one of the new experiences I
• 23:14
  had was not feeling God, you know, I'm like, God, are you
• 23:18
  there? And I Think we can all relate in
• 23:20
  those darkest moments were just like, oh my gosh.
• 23:24
  I don't, I don't feel you, but then that's when you like have
• 23:28
  to rely on faith that link, it's not feeling God.
• 23:34
  It's just that faith that he is still, he's there.
• 23:38
  He's he never leaves us or forsakes us.
• 23:42
  And what are you gonna do? If your feelings are numb, what
• 23:46
  are you gonna do when you're so broken?
• 23:49
  Side and you're just like, asking God like why can't I feel
• 23:55
  you, you know, where are you? And that's when the Lord
• 24:01
  reminded me, and this is why how you can know he's still there by
• 24:06
  you. Because he says, what a David
• 24:09
  do. And I know David, praise God, no
• 24:12
  matter what, like all throughout his circumstances when he was
• 24:15
  being hunted down by saw when he was, you know, in the The thick
• 24:19
  of his like fears he even said God, where are you?
• 24:24
  I mean there were times where he was asking Lord where are you?
• 24:28
  And he was praising him, he was worshipping him.
• 24:34
  He was still just like talking to him as if he could feel his
• 24:39
  presence. I mean that was, that was such a
• 24:42
  new experience for me and it was actually a quite a scary
• 24:47
  experience because I'm like Wow. I've never really gone through
• 24:51
  this dark of a time where I felt like I was asking God, you know,
• 24:57
  really where are you? I think you know, it was a test
• 25:01
  and it was a test of my faith. Like what are you going to do?
• 25:05
  Because he's trying to show us you need to have faith in my
• 25:08
  promises. I am I am enough for you.
• 25:12
  And this is what I want you to be, you know, praising and
• 25:17
  worshipping me. And Standing that all you need
• 25:20
  is to know like these promises. They never fade.
• 25:24
  They're not a lie. They're, they're the truth.
• 25:28
  And so that's what I relied on. Was his promises and then tell
• 25:33
  you what, eventually it was like, oh my gosh, I've got all
• 25:37
  that praying, and praising. And even reading my Bible, but
• 25:42
  feeling, you know, Kosh like it's not the same, he came
• 25:46
  through and it was just this breakthrough.
• 25:49
  Of like I was there all the time all the time and you were
• 25:54
  faithful to me and you relied on my word and my promises.
• 25:58
  And so sometimes our feelings and emotions can, you know, try
• 26:04
  to trip us up and they are not steadfast.
• 26:08
  God is, oh, that's so good. Jamie, oh, what a, yeah, yeah, I
• 26:13
  went through a time where I like stopped writing stopped, you
• 26:17
  know, most things up there. Doing anything for a while.
• 26:20
  There I hadn't been healed yet. And I thought I was going to be
• 26:24
  healed by this time like this was during that two-year towards
• 26:27
  the end of the two years. And yeah, for about like maybe
• 26:32
  six, five six months. I was really, really down in a
• 26:36
  depression. Didn't didn't feel God didn't
• 26:41
  feel that piece just just down like you, like you said in the
• 26:44
  date, you know, David in the Psalms when he talks about, you
• 26:47
  know, just feeling so Like low. And why is my soul so downcast?
• 26:52

  shell in that place, but just know that when you look to God

  and when you give him all of the baggage, that you're dealing

  with, he will take it and use it for his glory for his glory and

  it just pray for anyone who might be in a difficult time

  right now. I just speak life over you, I

  pray That God would meet you, right?

  Where you are. I pray that you would just see

  his goodness, even in the land of Affliction that you would see

  his love that you would know his presence and his peace and his

  joy. And his goodness, even right

  there where you are right there. He'll meet you right here, right

  now. You don't have to be perfect.

  You don't have to have it all together.

  He just wants your heart. He just wants to know you, he

  just wants you to. Into him and know that he's

  holding you in the palm of his hand.
