  Hey, welcome back to day 24. Merry Christmas Eve.

  friend Sue bolt. So here we are day 24 a day

  before Christmas and we will be reading at Luke 2:7 today, she

  gave birth to her first Born, son, she wrapped him, snugly, in

  strips of cloth, and laid him in a Manger because there was no

  lodging available for them. Day 24.

  Everything is falling into place at home are trees and rooms are
• 0:46
  decorated. The big meal preparations are
• 0:48
  unpacked and refrigerated we buy some Christmas miracle, have all
• 0:53
  the presents wrapped, but before all the tensile glitter and
• 0:57
  holiday glow, there was a crowded Village, tired, and
• 1:01
  weary Travelers, and a babe to be born in conditions that some
• 1:05
  might call unsafe unhealthy and surely not ideal.

  Yeah, it has that ever stopped God, possibly, we miss his work
• 1:14
  in our lives because we think he shows up with a staged a camera
• 1:18
  and Entourage and everything. Perfect, no, those rarely his
• 1:23
  style. He comes as the song says soft
• 1:26
  and slow couched in the Ruckus of Life all around us but barely
• 1:32
  recognized by us who are so busy distracted and determined to
• 1:37
  plow through life to get to the next best.
• 1:40
  Nothing much has been written about comparing, our hearts, the
• 1:43
  crowded end that had no room for Jesus that Bethlehem hostile
• 1:48
  filled to the max, reminds us that we often crowd our lives
• 1:52
  with things that seem, oh, so important.
• 1:55
  But then they leave us holding just so much Ash seeping through
• 1:59
  our hands. If we make any New Year's
• 2:02
  resolutions this year made the only one be that we fight for
• 2:06
  carve-out and schedule time alone in the presence of the
• 2:10
  Lord and his word daily doing this will cause every other
• 2:14
  resolution we make to fall into place.
• 2:17
  Honestly, that's his promise. We can glean more from the
• 2:22
  crowded end just wondering. Did you experience some closed
• 2:26
  doors in your life? This past year?
• 2:28
  You know, something you really wanted to happen?
• 2:30
  That didn't you are in good company rest, in knowing that
• 2:34
  God is doing something greater in your life.
• 2:37
  You may have caused you to dodge a bullet that you Can't fathom
• 2:40
  and he never closes something that he doesn't also.
• 2:43
  Open the right door or window. Somewhere else trust, believe
• 2:48
  him. The miracle is in sight.
• 2:53
  And here are a couple questions to ponder on, what are some
• 2:56
  closed doors that you experience this year?
• 2:59
  And where do you need to trust him to open a better door for
• 3:03
  you? And how does this devotional
• 3:06
  speak to you personally? Thank you, Father, for always
• 3:10
  having a plan for our lives even when we don't see it and it
• 3:15
  doesn't look that way or it's not going that way that we
• 3:18
  expected. We know that we serve a God that
• 3:21
  always has our best. Thank you for always protecting
• 3:24
  us and giving us provision, as we trust Our Lives in Your Hands
• 3:29
  in Jesus name. Amen.

  Hey, if you haven't received Jesus as your savior and you

  would love for him to come into your life.

  Say this prayer. Me out loud, right where you

  are. Dear, heavenly father, I come to

  you in the name of Jesus. Your word says, in John 6:37.

  All of those, the father gives me will come to me and whoever

  comes to me, I will never drive away, so I know that you will

  Whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

  You also say God in Romans 10:9 through 10, if you declare with

  your mouth, Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart, that God

  raised him from the dead, you will be saved for it is with

  your heart that you believe and are Justified and it is Is with

  your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

  I believe in my heart. Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

  I believe that he was raised from the dead for my
• 4:53
  justification. And I confess him now as my Lord

  and I do believe with my heart. And I've now become the
• 5:05
  righteousness of God in Christ. And I am saved.
