Kalomira was born and raised in New York by Greek parents, but did not hesitate when Greek television called for her services for the 2008 Eurovision. Despite some sour moods among the artists in the Greek pre-selection, Kalomira won and ERT went all in on the act "Secret Combination" for Eurovision.
