- 0:02Speaker 1: I was wondering, is there are the words, phrases, terms
- 0:07Speaker 1: not of endearment, but that you absolutely hate and hate. Okay,
- 0:12Speaker 1: I hate might be a strong word. But you know,
- 0:14Speaker 1: I don't know why. And maybe this was just as
- 0:16Speaker 1: I got older and I had more friends who became
- 0:20Speaker 1: dads and fathers, you know. Yeah, I don't know why.
- 0:24Speaker 1: And this works both ways too for guys and girls. Yeah,
- 0:27Speaker 1: but the term baby daddy, my baby daddy, I don't
- 0:32Speaker 1: love what. Just say my son's father or my daughter's father.
- 0:37Speaker 1: And the same goes for baby mama. Just say my
- 0:41Speaker 1: son's mother.
- 0:42Speaker 2: Well, okay, different, I don't unless.
- 0:44Speaker 1: The dudes like a scumbag.
- 0:46Speaker 3: That okay that That was my question because I feel
- 0:48Speaker 3: like that came out of like when it's a crappy
- 0:52Speaker 3: dad or a crappy mom.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Oh my baby mama, oh my baby daddy.
- 0:55Speaker 3: But I do I have heard people like playfully be like,
- 0:59Speaker 3: oh yeah, my baby dad.
- 1:00Speaker 2: But I don't like that either.
- 1:01Speaker 1: I don't know why. It's just because there are so
- 1:03Speaker 1: many actual good moms and good dads out there that
- 1:06Speaker 1: I feel like they deserve a little more than my
- 1:08Speaker 1: baby daddy.
- 1:10Speaker 2: I feel you, I know what I mean.
- 1:11Speaker 3: I'm not with my children's father anymore, but I would
- 1:14Speaker 3: never call him my baby daddy.
- 1:16Speaker 1: I don't think, right, you just yeah, my kid's dad, Yeah,
- 1:19Speaker 1: my kid's dad, yeah or whatever.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Yeah, So I don't know. So I was wondering if
- 1:24Speaker 1: you had anything like that. I noticed that yesterday reading
- 1:26Speaker 1: this interesting Facebook post. I was like, I know that
- 1:29Speaker 1: kid's dad. He's a good dude.
- 1:31Speaker 2: He's a good dude. Ah, not like how you're saying
- 1:35Speaker 2: for me.
- 1:36Speaker 3: It's like, you know how there are words that people
- 1:39Speaker 3: think are like gross. I feel like the big one
- 1:41Speaker 3: is moist. Okay that only it drives me insaying that
- 1:45Speaker 3: people are like I hate that word. I don't think
- 1:47Speaker 3: that that word is terrible. In fact, I feel like
- 1:50Speaker 3: a lot of people jumped on the bandwagon about moist
- 1:54Speaker 3: is so awful. I don't think that's the issue. Yeah,
- 1:57Speaker 3: the worst word is.
- 2:01Speaker 1: Yeah, I do.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Ointment is terrible.
- 2:04Speaker 3: Like, so right, if you need like, oh, hang on,
- 2:09Speaker 3: I just need to use this ointment.
- 2:10Speaker 2: No, don't tell me that. I don't need to know.
- 2:12Speaker 2: I don't like that.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Can you get me the hey, can you get me
- 2:15Speaker 1: the ointment in cabinet?
- 2:17Speaker 2: No? No, I hate it. I hate we have to
- 2:20Speaker 2: not be friends anymore. Yeah, I'm never gonna go get
- 2:22Speaker 2: you the ointment.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Yeah, that's like, you know, the word like a church pew.
- 2:27Speaker 1: I don't like the word pew.
- 2:29Speaker 2: Oh is it because it sounds like it's stinky.
- 2:31Speaker 1: I don't know, but yeah, pew is just a weird
- 2:33Speaker 1: word or even you know, like how they'll be like pew.
- 2:36Speaker 1: I don't. I don't love that.
- 2:40Speaker 3: Seven on one to eight on one nine eight seven.
- 2:42Speaker 3: What word or phrase.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Do you hate?
- 2:45Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 2:45Speaker 1: I have one more for you, another one. I when
- 2:49Speaker 1: guys have a you know, their girlfriend or their wife
- 2:52Speaker 1: or whoever, and they're like, oh, we're pregnant, bro, you
- 2:55Speaker 1: are not even close to pregnant.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Oh my god.
- 2:57Speaker 1: You are sucking down michelob ultras every Friday night, regardless
- 3:01Speaker 1: of being pregnant.
- 3:02Speaker 3: Gay, But in October that helps bras on big butting it. No,
- 3:07Speaker 3: I agree with you wholeheartedly, and I'm so glad that
- 3:10Speaker 3: you said this, Gabe, because it drives me insane. We
- 3:13Speaker 3: are pregnant, absolutely, No, you're not. You didn't have to
- 3:16Speaker 3: sacrifice your body for nine months.
- 3:18Speaker 1: You had thirty eight seconds of fun on a Friday
- 3:21Speaker 1: night once and it ended up in this mess.
- 3:23Speaker 2: I exactly. I feel like guys.
- 3:25Speaker 3: Can say we're expecting because you're both expecting a baby.
- 3:30Speaker 2: But like the.
- 3:31Speaker 3: Literal term pregnant, bro, you're not pregnant. Maybe you're pregnant
- 3:35Speaker 3: with emotion.
- 3:36Speaker 2: But I'm about the same.
- 3:37Speaker 1: I'm with you on that one, Ladies. Seven oh one
- 3:40Speaker 1: two eight zero one nine eight seven word phrase term
- 3:44Speaker 1: that you hate to let us know this morning, I.
- 3:52Speaker 3: Could not be more grateful today that if you take
- 3:56Speaker 3: a look at my face, Gabe, it is not obstructed
- 4:00Speaker 3: to buy glasses anymore, because.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Oh, that's what's different.
- 4:04Speaker 3: Yes, Oh yeah, I've been wearing my glasses lately lately, Yes,
- 4:09Speaker 3: and it was because I ran out of my monthly
- 4:12Speaker 3: contacts and I hadn't reordered, so I'd been wearing glasses,
- 4:15Speaker 3: and I I think I look fine and dandy in glasses,
- 4:18Speaker 3: but like the prescription's not as strong as it needs
- 4:20Speaker 3: to be.
- 4:21Speaker 2: My hair gets stuck in it, like not the vibe.
- 4:23Speaker 3: So I finally reordered contacts and they got here yesterday, wow,
- 4:28Speaker 3: which is four days earlier than expected.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Even with the Amazon crash or whatever that happened.
- 4:34Speaker 3: Yes, so now I can see clearly and there aren't
- 4:39Speaker 3: black frames around my face.
- 4:41Speaker 1: And that's what's different, and you couldn't tell me. You
- 4:44Speaker 1: know what's crazy is I am actually not terrible at that,
- 4:48Speaker 1: you know almost You know. The stereotype is guys don't
- 4:51Speaker 1: notice anything. Yeah, this my hair blah blah blah. I
- 4:55Speaker 1: generally noticed that.
- 4:56Speaker 3: No, you do, because you have noticed, like I used to,
- 5:00Speaker 3: where my hair is straight like a lot, a lot,
- 5:01Speaker 3: and anytime I would switch it up and have it wavy,
- 5:04Speaker 3: you would mention it. You are really good at noticing things.
- 5:06Speaker 1: But the glasses thing, I maybe I just haven't looked
- 5:10Speaker 1: at you yet this well, Hey, congratulations to you, Angie.
- 5:15Speaker 2: I thank you.
- 5:16Speaker 1: You feel a little bit more normal.
- 5:18Speaker 3: Honestly, I feel like a brand new woman, to the
- 5:21Speaker 3: point where I got up early today and I washed
- 5:23Speaker 3: my hair and dried it and straightened it, and I
- 5:26Speaker 3: put on clothes that wasn't a hoodie like. Having my
- 5:30Speaker 3: contacts really changed who I am as a person. I'm
- 5:33Speaker 3: a better person right now because I can see these lenses.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Well, that's wonderful. I'm happy for you.
- 5:38Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 5:39Speaker 2: What about you, Gabe. What's your little victory?
- 5:41Speaker 1: You were with me on my little victory today? My
- 5:43Speaker 1: little victory is yesterday Angie, and I ran to Corwin,
- 5:47Speaker 1: who was teamed up with us for Bras on Big
- 5:50Speaker 1: ninety eight point seven. We just have some fun thing
- 5:52Speaker 1: we're gonna get on social media at some point for you.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Here as I dropped off some bras, we have a
- 5:57Speaker 1: fun video. And after the video, we were like, oh, hey,
- 6:00Speaker 1: let's go grab just a I don't know, like a
- 6:02Speaker 1: breakfast real quick. Oh that's a little snack.
- 6:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:05Speaker 1: So we stop at the gas station and what did
- 6:08Speaker 1: I find? I found this hat that is the most
- 6:13Speaker 1: dope gas station hat of all time. And I mean
- 6:17Speaker 1: it is just a regular hat. There's nothing like crazy
- 6:19Speaker 1: special about it. It's just this camouflage hat with this
- 6:23Speaker 1: dog on it and then some company. I have no
- 6:25Speaker 1: clue what it is. I love this thing. Yeah, yes,
- 6:28Speaker 1: it was like twenty twenty five bucks. I was like,
- 6:31Speaker 1: you know, I need this. This hat needs to be
- 6:33Speaker 1: in my life.
- 6:33Speaker 3: It was really funny because we walked up to the
- 6:35Speaker 3: register and I'll take this pizza.
- 6:38Speaker 2: And this hat.
- 6:41Speaker 4: I love that.
- 6:41Speaker 2: It made me giggle, but it looks good on you,
- 6:44Speaker 2: thank you.
- 6:44Speaker 1: And I didn't wear it today because it is kind
- 6:46Speaker 1: of a camouflage color and I have a green hoodie
- 6:49Speaker 1: on and.
- 6:49Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, you wanted us to see you.
- 6:51Speaker 1: Well, exactly, it'd be tough for you over there to
- 6:54Speaker 1: be able to do the show when I'm hidden, So
- 6:56Speaker 1: well that makes sense. Yeah, so I was thinking about you.
- 6:59Speaker 2: I appreciate that game, and I want.
- 7:04Speaker 1: You to imagine on Saturday, you are at Crawloween, having
- 7:08Speaker 1: some fun with us here at Big ninety eight point seven,
- 7:11Speaker 1: potentially winning five hundred dollars thanks to the Bridge's apartment
- 7:14Speaker 1: as the Apartments excuse me. The third annual Crawloween, presented
- 7:18Speaker 1: by Neutral Vodka, Seltzer and michelob Ultra. It's Saturday. You
- 7:23Speaker 1: are hitting bar to bar, you are crawling, and you
- 7:26Speaker 1: see a sexy Jaba the hut. We want to know
- 7:32Speaker 1: Halloween costumes that are impossible to make sexy? Kelly em said,
- 7:36Speaker 1: jab of the Hut, that's so funny. Great call.
- 7:40Speaker 2: That's a great one.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Like a big lizard toad looking thing. Yeah no, not
- 7:45Speaker 1: in attack amphibian, amphibian hard to make sexy for Halloween.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Agree wholeheartedly.
- 7:50Speaker 3: My sister one year, she was going out for Halloween
- 7:54Speaker 3: and her friends were a sexy nurse and a sexy cop,
- 7:59Speaker 3: and she was like I need to be something sexy.
- 8:01Speaker 3: I don't know what to be. And this was like
- 8:04Speaker 3: last minute. It was like we're gonna go to this party,
- 8:06Speaker 3: you better join us right now. And so my sister
- 8:08Speaker 3: comes into my room. She's like, I don't what am
- 8:10Speaker 3: I gonna do?
- 8:10Speaker 2: What am I gonna wear? And I'm like, I don't know, and.
- 8:12Speaker 3: She goes, can I borrow your work uniform?
- 8:16Speaker 2: And at the.
- 8:17Speaker 3: Time I worked at KFC, okay, I was slaying six
- 8:21Speaker 3: piece chicken meals, and the uniform not cute for that.
- 8:26Speaker 3: It was like this oversized, baggy burgundy.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Uh what was it? What are they called the with
- 8:34Speaker 2: the colored shirts?
- 8:35Speaker 4: Oh?
- 8:36Speaker 1: Like a polo? That yeah, that.
- 8:38Speaker 3: A polo and then like a greasy hat. It was
- 8:42Speaker 3: not good. When she's like, well, this will have to do.
- 8:46Speaker 3: So she threw that polo on. She threw on the
- 8:48Speaker 3: greasy hat, but then tossed on fishnets, black thigh high boots,
- 8:54Speaker 3: and some black hot pants and she was like, I
- 8:57Speaker 3: can be a sexy KFC employee. I let her go
- 9:01Speaker 3: out of the house like that, but let me tell
- 9:03Speaker 3: you no such thing.
- 9:04Speaker 2: No such thing.
- 9:05Speaker 3: And to this day, when I asked to see the photos,
- 9:08Speaker 3: she's like absolutely not, absolutely no. I wanted to post
- 9:11Speaker 3: the pictures on the big ninety eight points I have
- 9:14Speaker 3: on Facebook pages. She goes, no, that was the most
- 9:15Speaker 3: embarrassing thing that's ever happened to me. So yeah, KFC employee.
- 9:19Speaker 1: No, tough to make a sexy looking KFC employee with
- 9:24Speaker 1: the full uniform and garb. She didn't even try to
- 9:26Speaker 1: like like crop top the No, she should have Yeah,
- 9:30Speaker 1: why and she like cut the top or something.
- 9:32Speaker 2: Well, because I still had to wear it.
- 9:34Speaker 1: Oh, I told you still had to go to work. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 9:37Speaker 1: you're right, you had to go slang some chicken, all right,
- 9:39Speaker 1: fair enough. You know the Halloween costume, I thing would
- 9:42Speaker 1: be real tough to make sexy, except there's one way
- 9:45Speaker 1: you could do it. Once a bee keeper. Imagine trying
- 9:49Speaker 1: to go as a sexy bee keeper. Now, you could
- 9:52Speaker 1: potentially get this done by wearing just the mask, just
- 9:57Speaker 1: the mask.
- 9:57Speaker 2: And then like a bikini. But then it come from
- 10:00Speaker 2: the integrity.
- 10:01Speaker 1: You're really not a bee keeper at that point, You're
- 10:03Speaker 1: really just kind of someone wearing a beekeeper mask in LAUNDERI.
- 10:06Speaker 3: Okay, well, what if you you have the full beekeeper outfit,
- 10:12Speaker 3: but then you put a corset over it to look
- 10:15Speaker 3: so snatched.
- 10:16Speaker 2: Does that work? No?
- 10:19Speaker 1: I have no clue what you're talking about, So I'm
- 10:22Speaker 1: I'm gonna go ahead and believe you there seven oh
- 10:24Speaker 1: one two eight zero one nine eight seven Halloween costume
- 10:27Speaker 1: impossible to make sexy, Angie. I have a couple more
- 10:30Speaker 1: for you. As we did ask this on Facebook, Brie said, Lorax,
- 10:36Speaker 1: a sexy Lorax. There is a fabulous photo on our
- 10:40Speaker 1: Facebook page of someone going as a sexy Lorax that
- 10:44Speaker 1: you have got to check out. Oh, this is great,
- 10:46Speaker 1: and this one kind of breaks my heart, but it's
- 10:49Speaker 1: so true. Ace Ventura on Venture, it's not getting done
- 10:57Speaker 1: in twenty twenty five.
- 10:58Speaker 3: You also can't be a sex the Angie morales for Halloween.
- 11:02Speaker 2: I don't have it in me.
- 11:07Speaker 3: In a world of rules and gray areas, one radio
- 11:11Speaker 3: station has the courage to ask the tough questions Is
- 11:15Speaker 3: it legal? All right?
- 11:18Speaker 1: I found one that really just makes me crack up, Angie.
- 11:21Speaker 1: Apparently North Dakota has an actual rule that says you
- 11:26Speaker 1: can't wear a mask to commit a crime, which I
- 11:31Speaker 1: find hilarious. I mean, that's what we had to write
- 11:33Speaker 1: that one down. That one had to get put in
- 11:35Speaker 1: there somewhere. I like to think somewhere there's a guy
- 11:39Speaker 1: just chilling in jail, or maybe even you know, like
- 11:42Speaker 1: forty years ago, chilling in jail, and he's going, wait,
- 11:47Speaker 1: you mean the ski mask is what made this a problem.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Your crime itself was not that bad.
- 11:53Speaker 1: It's a mask that got you. Here's the really fun part,
- 11:57Speaker 1: all right, very on theme for this time time of
- 12:00Speaker 1: the year. This law is made as an exception for Halloween. Okay,
- 12:06Speaker 1: so you're totally fine wearing the Freddy Krueger mask, the
- 12:08Speaker 1: screen mask, even you know that weird thing Spirit Halloween
- 12:12Speaker 1: had on clearance.
- 12:13Speaker 3: Oh, that's like the generic name because they don't have
- 12:15Speaker 3: the copyright.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Yeah, you can wear those all Halloween you want. Just
- 12:18Speaker 1: don't rob a Casey's gas station. Okay, that will not
- 12:21Speaker 1: be good for you, and you just shouldn't do it.
- 12:24Speaker 1: In general.
- 12:25Speaker 2: This is crazy to me.
- 12:26Speaker 3: So on Halloween, they're like, if you're going to commit
- 12:29Speaker 3: a crime, we expect that you'll wear a mask because
- 12:32Speaker 3: it's Halloween. So that's fine, you'll only get charged for
- 12:35Speaker 3: the crime itself.
- 12:36Speaker 2: But on any other day, we're tacking on an extra
- 12:39Speaker 2: charge for the mask.
- 12:40Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 12:41Speaker 2: This is the weirdest rule I've ever heard.
- 12:43Speaker 1: So strange. Right, so you know, if you're here in
- 12:45Speaker 1: Fargo on Halloween night, it's okay to be scary. Just
- 12:49Speaker 1: don't be suspicious. The only thing you should be stealing
- 12:52Speaker 1: on Halloween is candy from your children's bowls. Okay, amen,
- 13:00Speaker 1: Now this is a very real contest. When I first
- 13:05Speaker 1: came across this, I was like, there's no way this
- 13:07Speaker 1: is real. But Spain holds two types of ham tossing events.
- 13:13Speaker 3: All right, Oh wait, not only is there a ham
- 13:15Speaker 3: tossing event, there's two ties.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Oh there's angie, there's a ham tossing and ham hurling. Okay,
- 13:21Speaker 1: get educated.
- 13:22Speaker 2: Oh okay, sorry that I don't know.
- 13:27Speaker 1: Yeah, they do this ham tossing in the village Carascosa
- 13:33Speaker 1: de la Sierra. Okay, okay, you.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Did pretty good there with that pronouncer.
- 13:37Speaker 1: I tried my best, Okay, And basically it's exactly what
- 13:40Speaker 1: you think it is. They take ham and they.
- 13:42Speaker 2: Toss it or hurl it.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Or roll it down the street. Yeah. I wanted to
- 13:48Speaker 1: know then if we could have some kind of fun
- 13:51Speaker 1: goofy competition like this here in the in Fargo or
- 13:54Speaker 1: just the FM area in general. What competitions could we do?
- 13:59Speaker 1: And I did post this on Facebook. I really like
- 14:02Speaker 1: what Stephanie said. Who can cure ludafisc the fastest? The
- 14:06Speaker 1: problem is someone's gonna have to eat it afterwards.
- 14:08Speaker 2: And I don't even know what this means. Only man
- 14:13Speaker 2: here for seven months, gig.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Well, we'll do some educating, I think later on in
- 14:18Speaker 1: the program, maybe tomorrow, all right. Also, Vicky said ditch skiing,
- 14:23Speaker 1: which is kind of hilarious. I picture someone hanging on
- 14:26Speaker 1: the back of a you know, a truck with a
- 14:29Speaker 1: big long rope and just their skis in the ditch,
- 14:33Speaker 1: just like a boat.
- 14:34Speaker 3: That okay, that would be representative of Fargo.
- 14:37Speaker 1: I think it'd be great. I also came up with
- 14:39Speaker 1: a couple of these, Angie. What do you think about
- 14:42Speaker 1: the snow blowers sprint where racers they push their snow
- 14:45Speaker 1: blowers no engines allowed down a course in July just
- 14:50Speaker 1: so they can feel something again.
- 14:51Speaker 3: My gosh, I feel like my boyfriend Mikey would love that.
- 14:55Speaker 1: I like this. What about the hot dish hurl, Angie,
- 14:58Speaker 1: where teams compete to launch hot dish the furthest but
- 15:04Speaker 1: you can't spell any of it.
- 15:06Speaker 3: I do like this, and I know what hot dish is,
- 15:09Speaker 3: so I feel I'm really proud of myself.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Now, this one's kind of dangerous. I don't recommend this
- 15:13Speaker 1: for anyone, but it would be fitting, all right. The
- 15:15Speaker 1: frozen tongue pole. Who can stick their tongue to a
- 15:18Speaker 1: frozen flagpole? The longest No chick, that's terrible.
- 15:23Speaker 3: We've all seen a Christmas story. I will say this though.
- 15:26Speaker 3: One thing that I didn't know of until I moved
- 15:30Speaker 3: here is that tractor pulls are thing.
- 15:35Speaker 2: I had never heard of a tractor pull until I
- 15:38Speaker 2: moved here.
- 15:38Speaker 1: Really not doing a ton of tractor pulls on the
- 15:40Speaker 1: main strip in Vegas?
- 15:41Speaker 2: Huh, No, not at all.
- 15:44Speaker 1: I got one more for you, Angie, the ice scraper relay.
- 15:48Speaker 1: Each team member must scrape a windshield completely clean. The
- 15:53Speaker 1: first car to be completely defrosted wind's eternal winter bragging rights.
- 15:58Speaker 3: I feel like the Big ninety eight points of a
- 16:00Speaker 3: morning show should host this an.
- 16:02Speaker 2: Ice scraper event. I really like this idea.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Yeah, we might have to make this a thing. I
- 16:07Speaker 1: know a guy, I'll get on the phone.
- 16:08Speaker 2: Okay, good.
- 16:14Speaker 1: It turns out that thirty percent of American adults are
- 16:18Speaker 1: afraid of the dark, with men being slightly more likely
- 16:24Speaker 1: to admit this fear than the ladies. I'll tell you
- 16:27Speaker 1: right now, Angie, I'm afraid of the dark, are you really?
- 16:29Speaker 1: I am afraid of the dark. And it's all because
- 16:31Speaker 1: of a dream I had because of the dang movie Matilda.
- 16:34Speaker 1: You ever seen that?
- 16:35Speaker 3: Oh my god, I love Matilda except for one specific scene,
- 16:40Speaker 3: the cake, the chocolate cake eating scene. I cannot that
- 16:43Speaker 3: makes me like wanna. I do not like it. But
- 16:46Speaker 3: other than that great movie, great film.
- 16:48Speaker 1: Yeah, that chokey terrified me to death.
- 16:51Speaker 2: Your oh that's what got you chokey?
- 16:55Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 16:55Speaker 1: When I was younger in elementary school, I had a
- 16:57Speaker 1: kid or a kid, I had a friend who he
- 17:00Speaker 1: was like a good kid but had just some behavioral issues,
- 17:03Speaker 1: so he was kind of always sent to the principal's office. Yeah,
- 17:06Speaker 1: and after seeing Matilda here, I thought, my good buddy
- 17:10Speaker 1: was being sent to the choky in the principal's office
- 17:14Speaker 1: all day every day when I was six. It was
- 17:16Speaker 1: a nightmare. And then I had a dream that I
- 17:19Speaker 1: got sent in that chokey and Angie, it was dark.
- 17:23Speaker 1: It was dark, and there word nails or whatever out
- 17:28Speaker 1: of it. And I have not been a fan of
- 17:29Speaker 1: the dark ever since.
- 17:30Speaker 2: That is so funny.
- 17:32Speaker 1: And now because I sent in the dark studio every
- 17:35Speaker 1: single day, but.
- 17:36Speaker 3: There's big old windows and there aren't spikes coming out
- 17:38Speaker 3: of anything. I feel like this is perfect for your
- 17:42Speaker 3: wife to prank you.
- 17:44Speaker 2: I think.
- 17:44Speaker 3: I hope Corey is listening because I think this is
- 17:46Speaker 3: a great prank ide necessary. I know, I'm so rude.
- 17:49Speaker 3: Seven oh one too eight a one nine eight seven.
- 17:52Speaker 3: Why are you afraid of the dark. I'm not afraid
- 17:54Speaker 3: of the dark. But who is afraid of the dark?
- 17:57Speaker 3: Is my boyfriend Mike.
- 17:58Speaker 1: See two p's in.
- 18:00Speaker 3: Yeah, well it's because and this is I'm such a monster.
- 18:04Speaker 2: It's my fault.
- 18:06Speaker 3: I am the reason he's afraid of the dark, because
- 18:09Speaker 3: I do this thing where when it is dark, I
- 18:13Speaker 3: hide somewhere in the house where he can't like see
- 18:17Speaker 3: me sure, and then I at the perfect moment, jump
- 18:21Speaker 3: out and scare him.
- 18:22Speaker 2: Now you would think, Angie, aren't you thirty eight years old?
- 18:26Speaker 2: What are you doing?
- 18:27Speaker 3: But like it's so funny, and to this day, like
- 18:30Speaker 3: if you got it's so funny.
- 18:31Speaker 2: It's so funny to me.
- 18:32Speaker 3: When he wakes up in the middle of the night,
- 18:34Speaker 3: he's got a sweet tooth, and so he wakes up
- 18:36Speaker 3: in the middle of the night to go like get
- 18:38Speaker 3: whatever snacks. Yeah, but he turns on like all the
- 18:43Speaker 3: lights su because he's worried if it's dark that I'm
- 18:46Speaker 3: gonna hide, and like pop out at him, and I'm like, sir,
- 18:50Speaker 3: when you wake up in the middle of the night,
- 18:51Speaker 3: I'm still sleeping, can't you just look over and see.
- 18:54Speaker 2: That I'm still in the bed. And even then he's like, no,
- 18:56Speaker 2: I can't trust that. I can't trust it. It could
- 18:59Speaker 2: be a decoy.
- 19:00Speaker 1: William, are you afraid of the dark? Why?
- 19:03Speaker 4: I don't believe in ghosts or spirits or demons or whatever.
- 19:06Speaker 1: I just don't like being by myself in a dark room.
- 19:09Speaker 4: I feel like somebody can see me, but I can't
- 19:11Speaker 4: see them, and that freaks me out.
- 19:14Speaker 1: That's strangely enough, William sounds exactly like what Angie just
- 19:17Speaker 1: described as she's hiding in the dark and or Mikey
- 19:20Speaker 1: walking around trying to scare him. What about you, Linda,
- 19:23Speaker 1: Why are you afraid of the dark?
- 19:25Speaker 4: Because in the dark, your mind stops seeing what is
- 19:27Speaker 4: and he starts imagining what could be. Every sound feels closer,
- 19:31Speaker 4: every shadow feels alive, and every worrisome thing creeps right
- 19:36Speaker 4: back in.
- 19:37Speaker 2: That's true.
- 19:38Speaker 1: That actually, that kind of hit me in a place
- 19:40Speaker 1: in my heart there. That is so true, Gabe.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Do you want me to walk over and turn? I'm
- 19:44Speaker 2: a light.
- 19:50Speaker 1: Throughout the entire month of October, Spirit Halloween is hosting
- 19:55Speaker 1: Halloween parties at more than one hundred and forty PDIAT
- 20:00Speaker 1: hospitals across the country as part of its Spirit of
- 20:03Speaker 1: Children fundraising campaign. The events feature costume characters and provide games,
- 20:09Speaker 1: arts and crafts, treats, and costumes for hospitalized kids and
- 20:13Speaker 1: their families. Last week, more than one hundred young patients,
- 20:17Speaker 1: their families, and hospital staff attended the celebration at this
- 20:22Speaker 1: hospital in New Jersey. Samantha Greenbaum, who is the director
- 20:25Speaker 1: of Nursing for Pediatrics, says the event brought a sense
- 20:28Speaker 1: of normalcy to children spending the holiday in the hospital.
- 20:32Speaker 1: The parties are supported by the hospital staff and the
- 20:34Speaker 1: Spirit of the Children volunteers, with costume donations from Spirit
- 20:39Speaker 1: Halloween's vendor partners. How sweet is that Spirit going across
- 20:44Speaker 1: the country trying to give kids who are really battling
- 20:47Speaker 1: through it just the most normal Halloween they can possibly handle,
- 20:51Speaker 1: so round of applause to them that is wonderful, and
- 20:54Speaker 1: obviously all of the volunteers who go along with that
- 20:57Speaker 1: so good for them and good for those kids. The
- 21:00Speaker 1: world is full of nice people. If you can't find one,
- 21:02Speaker 1: you gotta be one.
