- 0:01Speaker 1: I think I'm more bearable, you know, and I think,
- 0:06Speaker 1: you know, time does make things a little better, but
- 0:10Speaker 1: also waves of grief will just come up randomly. Like
- 0:12Speaker 1: I'll be listening to a song that I know he
- 0:14Speaker 1: liked and all of a sudden I'll just start crying
- 0:17Speaker 1: out of nowhere. So it does like, like the cycles
- 0:20Speaker 1: of grief, you know, you kind of bounce around them
- 0:22Speaker 1: at first. And then you just, you know, life goes
- 0:28Speaker 1: on and whether you like it to or not. And
- 0:30Speaker 1: then all of a sudden, You know, it's been six years.
- 0:35Speaker 1: But it's still a little sneak up on you in
- 0:37Speaker 1: random ways. But I think like what the author was saying,
- 0:41Speaker 1: I think people just like don't want to be uncomfortable.
- 0:44Speaker 1: Like I remember when he first passed away, even just
- 0:48Speaker 1: like someone like a waitress would be like, how's your day?
- 0:50Speaker 1: And in my head, I'm like, well, do you want
- 0:51Speaker 1: me to actually tell you or do you want me
- 0:53Speaker 1: to just say good and move on? You know, so
- 0:57Speaker 1: I think a lot of people just don't know how
- 0:58Speaker 1: to like, maybe they're not bringing it up because they're
- 1:00Speaker 1: like trying to ignore them or it's a mercy, but
- 1:02Speaker 1: they're just like, don't even know how to like handle that.
- 1:09Speaker 1: But it's always nice. I mean, especially like I have
- 1:11Speaker 1: other friends whose dads passed away and we call it
- 1:14Speaker 1: like the dead dads club. And we'll kind of like
- 1:17Speaker 1: talk about it every once in a while because we know,
- 1:20Speaker 1: you know, people that haven't experienced it. It's just like,
- 1:24Speaker 1: you could, you could be like, Oh, I'm sorry. But
- 1:26Speaker 1: to have someone like relate is kind of nice. But, Yeah,
- 1:29Speaker 1: I think time heals it, but it's still, it's always there.
- 1:33Speaker 1: It's just, it's easier to deal with or you find
- 1:37Speaker 1: different coping mechanisms. But then every once in a while,
- 1:40Speaker 1: you got to allow yourself to be sad and kind
- 1:42Speaker 1: of keep the memory alive and talk about it.
- 1:46Speaker 2: How does, was there something a friend did or some,
- 1:49Speaker 2: or even a relative or even Chris or somebody that
- 1:52Speaker 2: was like, really was encouraging to you when you were grieving.
- 1:56Speaker 2: You were like, this is very nice. Thank you. Like
- 1:59Speaker 2: it was actually helpful. It wasn't hurtful in any way. Mm-hmm.
