- 0:14Speaker 2: Nice to be up on the Jacksonville Wednesday nights and
- 0:16Speaker 2: early yesterday. Tons of rain, Megan, you said we got
- 0:19Speaker 2: a how much rain is today?
- 0:21Speaker 3: Two to five inches across the area, but it sure
- 0:24Speaker 3: felt like a lot more.
- 0:25Speaker 1: It was downpouring every time I got in the car.
- 0:28Speaker 2: It was Man, it rained all dang day, but we
- 0:31Speaker 2: really needed it. Was one of those times you wanted
- 0:33Speaker 2: to complain and be like, oh man, it's gonna stop
- 0:35Speaker 2: raining anything.
- 0:35Speaker 1: You're like, no, no, we need it. We need to stop. Stop, stop,
- 0:38Speaker 1: just to understand this is what we need today. Yeah,
- 0:40Speaker 1: scattered rain today, so we'll get a little bit here.
- 0:42Speaker 1: We had some on the way in again, I did
- 0:44Speaker 1: it coming from the side. Yeah.
- 0:46Speaker 2: Yeah north today, like Fernandina area is is still getting
- 0:49Speaker 2: pretty good right now. Yeah, but that will taper off
- 0:52Speaker 2: as the day goes. But a chance of showers today
- 0:55Speaker 2: and again tomorrow, but once again, we do need it.
- 0:58Speaker 1: How was the night last night, Megan? What did you
- 1:00Speaker 1: do it was good.
- 1:01Speaker 3: My boyfriend went to go get a new phone ended
- 1:04Speaker 3: up coming home with an iPad.
- 1:06Speaker 1: Part of this promotional.
- 1:07Speaker 3: Deal related to my wife. I I thought about calling
- 1:12Speaker 3: him Lisa.
- 1:12Speaker 1: He pulled to Lisa.
- 1:13Speaker 3: Yeah, they offered him a couple gaming consoles and then
- 1:16Speaker 3: he was like, I have to get out of here.
- 1:20Speaker 1: What about your night, John? How was it? It was wonderful.
- 1:23Speaker 1: I went to and spoke to the Jacksonville south Side
- 1:25Speaker 1: Rotary Club and did a little talk on Jacksonville's music
- 1:30Speaker 1: history and just a lot of great people. And one
- 1:33Speaker 1: guy knew more of a story than I did about something.
- 1:36Speaker 1: I mentioned something about a songwriter from a long time
- 1:39Speaker 1: ago that went to Lee High School and he started
- 1:42Speaker 1: telling me more details. Wow, And I said, oh, were
- 1:45Speaker 1: you there for blank? And he goes, oh, yeah I was,
- 1:48Speaker 1: and he starts telling this story. So it was. It
- 1:50Speaker 1: was a back and forth great night of Jacksonville music history.
- 1:53Speaker 1: So a lot of fun. And thanks to the south
- 1:55Speaker 1: Side Rotary Club for having me out. That's awesome. How
- 1:58Speaker 1: about you? What do you do?
- 2:00Speaker 3: Uh?
- 2:00Speaker 2: My wife spent some time with their sister yesterday, So
- 2:03Speaker 2: I just was the night by. I'm just me and
- 2:05Speaker 2: the dog it's a nice little quiet night, just me
- 2:07Speaker 2: and the pup.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Okay, at the new house, I wanted to ask you this.
- 2:09Speaker 1: So far at the new house, do you have an
- 2:11Speaker 1: indoor the indoor walk plan if it's right for sure?
- 2:15Speaker 1: And I have stairs? Okay.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Almost fell down the stairs because yesterday I was getting
- 2:21Speaker 2: close not going to get my ten thousand inn and
- 2:23Speaker 2: so I just started going up and down the stairs.
- 2:25Speaker 2: I figure I double burned, get flights, climbed and steps.
- 2:28Speaker 2: But I had socks on because I don't wear shoes
- 2:30Speaker 2: in the house because you know, because you don't. Yeah,
- 2:33Speaker 2: shoes are dirty, so I don't wear them in the house.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Almost fell down the stairs, like that would be bad.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, froggy. But it up and down the stairs.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm getting double getting flights, climbed, burning calories and
- 2:44Speaker 2: getting steps to them both.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Man, Okay, it's pretty smart.
- 2:48Speaker 2: It is.
- 2:48Speaker 3: I'm glad that you're walking for the three of us.
- 2:52Speaker 3: That makes me feel really good.
- 2:53Speaker 2: Honestly, Remember John, we did see that story on Monday
- 2:56Speaker 2: that says you only need eighty.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Five hundred steps a day instead of ten thousand. Yeah,
- 3:00Speaker 1: he thinks it's eighty five thousand steps. So anything shorter
- 3:03Speaker 1: than a million, you are inspiring my son. He walks
- 3:05Speaker 1: seven miles yesterday and you are inspiration for him. So
- 3:08Speaker 1: I appreciate that. Yeah, seven miles is good. That's great.
- 3:11Speaker 1: He was killing it, man, he was killing it.
- 3:13Speaker 2: That's awesome. Let's get into my Megan. Three things you
- 3:16Speaker 2: need to know to get you through your middle of
- 3:18Speaker 2: the week. Jack's Wednesday. How's it looking, Megan?
- 3:20Speaker 1: Well this weekend, put on your radar.
- 3:22Speaker 3: The Shan's Bridge is closing down at nine pm on Friday.
- 3:26Speaker 3: And while it's closed, depending on where you're at, you
- 3:29Speaker 3: can use the two ninety five Buckman route, or you
- 3:32Speaker 3: can choose if you're further south the Memorial Bridge in Palaca.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Just no before you go, because we don't like for
- 3:39Speaker 1: you to have to be stuck in track. I hope
- 3:41Speaker 1: they don't do southbound Buckman for the repairs this weekend,
- 3:45Speaker 1: because they really can't double up on that, can they.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Oh please, don't look they could maybe they'll go don't right, Yeah,
- 3:53Speaker 1: maybe do northbound or something. We just we're just letting
- 3:55Speaker 1: you know, doing your business for you.
- 3:57Speaker 3: After eleven years, the state record for the largest blue
- 4:00Speaker 3: catfish has been broken.
- 4:02Speaker 1: This is so cool.
- 4:03Speaker 3: An angler named Justin Hodge he hooked a seventy three
- 4:07Speaker 3: and a half pounder in the Swanee River. This catfish,
- 4:11Speaker 3: they said, is more than likely the biggest like fish
- 4:16Speaker 3: in our fresh water.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Wow. All across the state.
- 4:19Speaker 3: Crazy ribbon cutting is happening this morning and the North
- 4:23Speaker 3: Bank River Walk.
- 4:24Speaker 1: What's really fun.
- 4:26Speaker 3: They're honoring thirty musicians who shaped Jacksonville.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Even though we know there are a lot more thirty. Yes,
- 4:32Speaker 1: we'll do two D ninety nine one WQ I K
- 4:35Speaker 1: with the Big show Froggy, John and Meghan. It's so
- 4:38Speaker 1: good to be with you.
- 4:39Speaker 3: You know.
- 4:40Speaker 2: I'm excited for ACMs. It's coming up Sunday. I don't
- 4:43Speaker 2: love award shows. With the ACMs, we usually get some
- 4:45Speaker 2: really good performances out.
- 4:47Speaker 3: Of that, and it seems like this go around we're
- 4:49Speaker 3: having I mean, all of all of the current favorites.
- 4:53Speaker 3: Ella Langley, Megan Maroney is supposed to be there, everyone.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Yeah, so we should go some really good performances out
- 5:01Speaker 2: of this deal. Night was in Vegas the last couple
- 5:03Speaker 2: of years. Is it back in Vegas again this year?
- 5:05Speaker 2: I believe it is.
- 5:06Speaker 1: I think so.
- 5:07Speaker 2: I think it's back in Vegas again this year, which is,
- 5:10Speaker 2: I know they had done Nashville a couple of times,
- 5:12Speaker 2: they'd tried New York. They had tried didn't they do
- 5:16Speaker 2: where the Cowboys play in Dallas in Texas?
- 5:18Speaker 1: They'd done that. Oh yeah, they did Jerry World.
- 5:21Speaker 3: Yeah, and this year it's cool because it's hosted by
- 5:24Speaker 3: Shania Twain, So I think it'd be cool to have
- 5:26Speaker 3: her out there and kind of tie in the old
- 5:30Speaker 3: and new world of country music and plush and I
- 5:32Speaker 3: has got new music, so it would be perfect.
- 5:34Speaker 1: MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Yeah, so that's
- 5:38Speaker 1: gonna be cool.
- 5:39Speaker 2: I'm glad it's back in Vegas because it's kind of
- 5:41Speaker 2: I'm surprised they're doing there though they had done one year.
- 5:44Speaker 2: They did it where the Raiders play at the stadium
- 5:46Speaker 2: there at the Allegiance Stadium where the Raiders play. Right now,
- 5:49Speaker 2: they're going back to the Mgym Garden Arena, which is,
- 5:51Speaker 2: it's good to have it back in Las Vegas.
- 5:54Speaker 3: The ACMs feel like they're always always happening. We talk
- 5:59Speaker 3: about it like all year, what's coming up?
- 6:02Speaker 2: And yeah, they're used to be Awards season. Now it
- 6:05Speaker 2: just feels like they just drop award shows all year long.
- 6:07Speaker 2: It doesn't matter. There's no rhyme of reason.
- 6:12Speaker 1: I know. Normally when they used to have award season,
- 6:13Speaker 1: I could avoid it. But now sometimes I might stumble
- 6:17Speaker 1: upon an award show if I'm not careful. John's like,
- 6:21Speaker 1: I'm avoided. I'm not putting the TV on this week.
- 6:24Speaker 1: There's this month because it's Award team that's getting you
- 6:28Speaker 1: on Megan's Music City Minute. What's going on in non Nashville.
- 6:31Speaker 3: Otherwise, well, John, if you do choose to watch award
- 6:34Speaker 3: shows this year, in the coming years, there's some good news.
- 6:38Speaker 3: The Cmas have extended their partnership with Disney, so for
- 6:41Speaker 3: the next six years they're doing some new things for
- 6:45Speaker 3: CMA Awards, CMA Fest, and of course the Christmas Country
- 6:49Speaker 3: Christmas Specials. They'll be streamable on Disney and ABC, so
- 6:53Speaker 3: you can watch them in pieces by.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Your own country Christmas because you know what, it's all music.
- 6:58Speaker 1: It is all music, that's true.
- 7:01Speaker 3: A country singer Hannah Harper, she just want American Idol.
- 7:03Speaker 3: She's the first country artist to win since Carrie Underwood,
- 7:07Speaker 3: so it's cool.
- 7:08Speaker 1: Carrie's a judge for her.
- 7:09Speaker 3: Winning and Hannah's from Missouri, just throwing that out there.
- 7:13Speaker 3: The new new coaches on the season, the new upcoming
- 7:17Speaker 3: season of the Voice. The two of you were talking
- 7:19Speaker 3: on Monday about how Riley Green is making his coaching debut,
- 7:23Speaker 3: but we now have the other new coach, Queen Latifah.
- 7:27Speaker 3: So the two newbies are going to be joining Kelly
- 7:29Speaker 3: Clarkson and Adam Levine on stage.
- 7:32Speaker 1: That'll be me there you go, Little Country. Look, now
- 7:34Speaker 1: you've had time to reflect on Mother's Day, and sometimes
- 7:37Speaker 1: Mother's stagers didn't go right for people.
- 7:39Speaker 2: You know, yeah, didn't go as you expected, because you
- 7:42Speaker 2: do have expectation because as a mom, I would guess. Now,
- 7:46Speaker 2: I'm not a mom, I don't play one. However, sometimes
- 7:50Speaker 2: you do have expectations in your mind of what you
- 7:53Speaker 2: think it will be or should be or could be,
- 7:56Speaker 2: and maybe it falls drastically short.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Right, and something happened maybe or the just if somebody
- 8:01Speaker 1: was really late for the get together and or that
- 8:03Speaker 1: couldn't make it at all, and now you want to
- 8:06Speaker 1: have to do a redo. So this weekend is like
- 8:08Speaker 1: Mother's Day redo weekend, Okay, And so that's what people
- 8:11Speaker 1: are calling it. So if you had if you had
- 8:13Speaker 1: one that just didn't go right. It's your second chance.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Here's your second chance.
- 8:17Speaker 2: Mother's Day, so you have the opportunity Valentine's Day.
- 8:20Speaker 1: Maybe Valentine's Day didn't go right, you just do it again.
- 8:23Speaker 1: I kind of like that idea. You know, it happened
- 8:25Speaker 1: with us on our anniversary. We went to a nice place,
- 8:27Speaker 1: really nice place, and spent way too much money for food,
- 8:30Speaker 1: and we went and both Jill and I look at
- 8:33Speaker 1: each other and go, you know, that just wasn't that great.
- 8:36Speaker 1: And we're looking at each other as like I'm with you.
- 8:39Speaker 1: And then the next day, or we're driving home from there,
- 8:42Speaker 1: she goes, I know, we just spent a bunch of money,
- 8:44Speaker 1: but can we can we redo it tomorrow? So we
- 8:47Speaker 1: redid anniversary, went to Carabas for anniversary Reliable ol Reliable,
- 8:52Speaker 1: and it was perfect, exactly what we wanted.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Have you all ever done that before? The warm bread
- 8:56Speaker 2: with the pesto di man get it. They can't mess
- 8:59Speaker 2: at up.
- 9:00Speaker 1: No frog, he's all about a bread basket, he really am.
- 9:03Speaker 1: I know him.
- 9:04Speaker 2: We had to redo Lisa's birthday one year because I
- 9:07Speaker 2: don't remember what had happened. Something happened with the friend
- 9:09Speaker 2: of hers was supposed to come to town and didn't, and
- 9:13Speaker 2: so then we just went out the next weekend and
- 9:14Speaker 2: pretended it was Lisa's birthday all over again. I even
- 9:17Speaker 2: went and told the restaurant it was their birthday. That's great,
- 9:20Speaker 2: sing to her and everything.
- 9:21Speaker 1: That used to be a thing.
- 9:21Speaker 2: By the way, that was when I was not that
- 9:24Speaker 2: I'm still not immature, but when I was even more
- 9:26Speaker 2: immature than I am now. I would go to restaurants
- 9:29Speaker 2: with people who it was not their birthday, and I
- 9:31Speaker 2: would get up to go to the bathroom and tell
- 9:33Speaker 2: the server, Hey, it's their birthday, and then they come over, yeah,
- 9:40Speaker 2: And I would always lie.
- 9:41Speaker 1: And say that they were like older than they were.
- 9:45Speaker 2: This is there, this is their our fortieth birthday, and
- 9:47Speaker 2: they were like twenty nine.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Yeah, she's turning forty.
- 9:51Speaker 2: If she could come over and sing, make a big
- 9:53Speaker 2: deal out of it, please, my gosh, I've done that.
- 9:55Speaker 3: I used to throw fake birthday parties just in college,
- 9:58Speaker 3: you get everyone together, because it was always the best party.
- 10:04Speaker 1: With Country ninety nine one wq I K. These are
- 10:06Speaker 1: two floridiots at large. They're still out right now. Police
- 10:13Speaker 1: are investigating two males hop defense at a high school
- 10:16Speaker 1: entered a building through an unlocked door. Thanks for locking
- 10:19Speaker 1: the door. They rode bicycles and used other equipment. Then
- 10:23Speaker 1: they stole fifty dollars worth of lanyards. Oh no, those
- 10:29Speaker 1: kids trying to get backstage, approximately one hundred hot dogs
- 10:33Speaker 1: and some ice cream on a bicycle. They had a
- 10:38Speaker 1: big basket or something exactly. POLICEA, they're looking for him.
- 10:42Speaker 1: I'm wondering if w q i K. Good morning, Hope
- 10:44Speaker 1: everything is going good with you at the big show
- 10:46Speaker 1: with Froggie, John and Megan.
- 10:48Speaker 2: So do you guys remember a while back they said
- 10:52Speaker 2: that the penny was no longer going to be in circulation. Yeah, yeah,
- 10:56Speaker 2: so they're taking the penny out. So yesterday Governor DeSantis
- 11:00Speaker 2: signed the one cent piece bill into law. And now
- 11:04Speaker 2: get this, cash purchases here in the state Aflorida will
- 11:07Speaker 2: now be rounded to the nearest nickel.
- 11:11Speaker 1: That makes sense. If you're going to get rid of
- 11:13Speaker 1: the pennies, you gotta end up rounding up sooner or later,
- 11:16Speaker 1: because you can't unmask pennies. Dang it.
- 11:19Speaker 3: Why can't they just take away the cents altogether, like
- 11:22Speaker 3: you know, we just pay it all or less if
- 11:24Speaker 3: it's right.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Way, but it does four.
- 11:29Speaker 2: How it works now is if the final digit of
- 11:31Speaker 2: a cash purchase ends in one or two cents, it
- 11:34Speaker 2: must be rounded down to zero.
- 11:36Speaker 1: This makes sense.
- 11:37Speaker 2: Yeah, So let's say it's say it's like four dollars
- 11:42Speaker 2: and ninety two cents, that's got to go down to zero.
- 11:46Speaker 2: It's the final digit engine three or four. It must
- 11:48Speaker 2: be rounded to five. It's a final digit ends in
- 11:53Speaker 2: I'm gonna say it is that. I don't mean it
- 11:54Speaker 2: the way it sounds. Say it the other way. Say
- 11:56Speaker 2: seven or six, seven or six. It must be rounded
- 11:59Speaker 2: down into five, and at the final of the ends
- 12:01Speaker 2: an eight or nine, it'll go to ten.
- 12:03Speaker 1: So that's how it works.
- 12:04Speaker 2: That's one, two, down, three, four up to five, and
- 12:08Speaker 2: then seven and six down to five, eight and nine
- 12:11Speaker 2: up to up to a dime up to ten.
- 12:14Speaker 3: So you think that different big national retailers their products
- 12:19Speaker 3: in Florida will be adjusting the prices.
- 12:21Speaker 1: Maybe they're going to bump them all.
- 12:23Speaker 2: Up going so that it won't be a one or
- 12:26Speaker 2: two or seven or six just because that way, because
- 12:29Speaker 2: if you think about it, over the grand scheme of time,
- 12:32Speaker 2: if you round it down, that that two cents you
- 12:35Speaker 2: lost two cents on every single sale. That would eventually
- 12:38Speaker 2: affects your cash fall.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Right if you say your sales are down two percent,
- 12:41Speaker 1: I wonder then you'd go, well, it's those dang pennies.
- 12:44Speaker 3: I'm feeling we're going to be having these conversations in
- 12:47Speaker 3: the McDonald's drive through line because you know it's about
- 12:50Speaker 3: to be like.
- 12:51Speaker 1: About to go down. What are you doing?
- 12:54Speaker 3: It's a nickel, No, it's not two sick governor is saying,
- 12:58Speaker 3: has said two cents.
- 12:59Speaker 1: That's when you said, if it's four ninety nine, make
- 13:04Speaker 1: it round it down to four. That's kind of like
- 13:06Speaker 1: when your kids want you to buy something and they'll
- 13:08Speaker 1: say it's only four dollars. I was like, four nine, No,
- 13:11Speaker 1: it's four dollars four. That's where a girl man starts
- 13:15Speaker 1: that is that's that was the girl.
- 13:19Speaker 3: This whole thing kind of sounds a little girl Matthew
- 13:21Speaker 3: to me, if you ask.
- 13:25Speaker 1: Megan's three things for your Jacksonville Wednesday? What is going on? Megan?
- 13:28Speaker 3: So, yesterday's rainfall did us good. We're chipping away slowly
- 13:33Speaker 3: but surely at our drought number. We were at what
- 13:36Speaker 3: forty four inches? Now we are down between two and five.
- 13:40Speaker 3: It depends on where you're out in the area, but
- 13:42Speaker 3: it sure.
- 13:43Speaker 1: Felt like, hey, they'll chip away because we took a
- 13:46Speaker 1: long time to get to this drought, so we catch
- 13:49Speaker 1: back up. We did, and we're gonna be catching up
- 13:51Speaker 1: today too. Yesterday it felt like we got a lot
- 13:54Speaker 1: more rain than that. I mean, the.
- 13:55Speaker 3: Roads were flooded and it just seemed like everywhere you
- 13:59Speaker 3: were driving, you and a puddle. So today, please be
- 14:02Speaker 3: careful if it's raining again, and don't forget. Even though
- 14:05Speaker 3: it is wet outside, it doesn't mean you can go
- 14:08Speaker 3: light stuff on fire outside.
- 14:10Speaker 1: We're still at a burn band in Duval County. Saint
- 14:13Speaker 1: John's extended.
- 14:13Speaker 3: There's another seven days, so another six days as of today.
- 14:18Speaker 3: And something really exciting happened in the state of Florida.
- 14:23Speaker 3: It's been eleven years since anyone has broken the record
- 14:26Speaker 3: for the biggest blue catfish. Well, a guy named Justin Hodge.
- 14:30Speaker 3: He just hooked a seventy three and a half pounder
- 14:32Speaker 3: in the Swanee River, the biggest catfish in history.
- 14:37Speaker 1: So cool.
- 14:37Speaker 3: The picture of the park ranger or whoever the guy was,
- 14:42Speaker 3: the forest free Yeah, he looked like an average sized
- 14:46Speaker 3: grown man. The tail of the fish at his feet.
- 14:49Speaker 3: The head of it he's holding up is over his chest.
- 14:52Speaker 3: I mean, this thing's a monster. The Shan's Bridge is
- 14:55Speaker 3: closing this weekend Friday at nine pm, so just know
- 14:59Speaker 3: before you get upset because of the traffic and the detours.
- 15:03Speaker 3: You can take the two ninety five Buckman, or if
- 15:05Speaker 3: you're further south around Placa, just take the Memorial Bridge.
- 15:09Speaker 3: That's three things you need to.
- 15:10Speaker 1: Know, all right.
- 15:11Speaker 2: Fifty dollars to Metro Diner goes a long way man.
- 15:15Speaker 2: That fried chicken the Metro Diner, I'm I see right now.
- 15:17Speaker 2: It might be some of the best you ever had.
- 15:19Speaker 2: Just do not tell Grandma because she'll HER's always has
- 15:22Speaker 2: to be the best. Yes, but Metro Diners gonna give
- 15:25Speaker 2: Grandma a run for money. Yes, indeed, fifty dollars gift
- 15:28Speaker 2: card right now if you want to play the pop
- 15:29Speaker 2: quiz looking for collars nine.
- 15:31Speaker 1: And ten pop Quiz a couple of minutes away, someone's
- 15:33Speaker 1: about to win a fifty dollars gift card to Metro Diner.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Hope you're doing well this morning. Thank you for taking
- 15:38Speaker 1: us with you at the Big Show with Froggy John
- 15:40Speaker 1: and Meghan.
- 15:41Speaker 2: So John do you have a spot on the couch
- 15:43Speaker 2: that's yours like you always sit there?
- 15:45Speaker 1: Yes, yes, we did. We just talked about this, my
- 15:48Speaker 1: wife and I did, like two days ago, right, because
- 15:51Speaker 1: I sat on her side of the on her couch
- 15:53Speaker 1: and I sat on the odd side, and I'm sitting down, going, well,
- 15:56Speaker 1: this is weird.
- 15:58Speaker 2: Right, your butt doesn't it the same? No, it's just
- 16:01Speaker 2: not the same. You got your spot, I do. Okay,
- 16:04Speaker 2: what about you, Megan? You have your spot on the couch.
- 16:07Speaker 1: Uh, Luna has her chair. My dog.
- 16:10Speaker 3: Yeah, so my dog is her chair and then everything
- 16:13Speaker 3: is mine in the house in port Ali just has
- 16:15Speaker 3: to kind of fin for himself.
- 16:16Speaker 1: He gets whatever's left over. Yeah.
- 16:20Speaker 2: So I've gotten my spot on the couch right right,
- 16:23Speaker 2: I've just got my spot.
- 16:24Speaker 1: And my son was home. He knows where my spot is.
- 16:26Speaker 1: Sometimes he'll sit there, but he knows when I come
- 16:28Speaker 1: in the room, like, hey, we got to move. That's
- 16:29Speaker 1: that spot, right. So the dog has started laying in
- 16:34Speaker 1: my spot. It's my spot.
- 16:37Speaker 2: So yesterday I went to move him out of the way.
- 16:40Speaker 2: I'm like, yo, I just pushed him on his little button,
- 16:42Speaker 2: like yo, move. At least he goes what a second
- 16:45Speaker 2: did you just make him move? I'm like yeah. She's
- 16:48Speaker 2: like he was laying there, he wasn't bothering anyone. I'm like, no, no, no,
- 16:51Speaker 2: he was laying on my spot. He's like, you can't
- 16:53Speaker 2: find a new spot, and I'm like, no, my butt
- 16:57Speaker 2: has made an imprint on this couch that is my spot.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Evidently your dog likes your imprint. And then she started
- 17:04Speaker 1: making me feel bad. He likes your smell and your scent,
- 17:07Speaker 1: and he feels safe. Oh, that's where he needs to be.
- 17:10Speaker 1: And this next thing, I know, he's in my spot again.
- 17:13Speaker 1: I'm sitting in another spot on the couch.
- 17:14Speaker 2: I got to make a new spot now because the
- 17:17Speaker 2: dog wants to sit in my spot.
- 17:18Speaker 1: And that took years months or maybe years to be perfect,
- 17:22Speaker 1: to perfect the spot that you had.
- 17:24Speaker 2: I know when I'm not sitting right, I know, I'm like, oh,
- 17:26Speaker 2: we got to move my left cheek over a little bit.
- 17:27Speaker 3: Yeah, that's right, Froggy, your dog has like, how many
- 17:31Speaker 3: ten beds in the house.
- 17:32Speaker 1: Yes, he's got ten beds. Steals his couch. I know,
- 17:35Speaker 1: I know who I remember. But that's been the last
- 17:37Speaker 1: few days. Froggy's been calling this dog an idiot. Huh.
- 17:39Speaker 2: Yes, sit in the corner. I just give it to
- 17:43Speaker 2: me a little like folding chair. I'll just sit on
- 17:45Speaker 2: that and watch TV.
- 17:46Speaker 1: Get you ten beds around the house. Yes, Rex is
- 17:51Speaker 1: the man of the house exactly. I love it. You know.
- 17:54Speaker 1: I caught the only fish I ever caught. I've just
- 17:56Speaker 1: never been a fisherman. My dad never was much. We
- 17:58Speaker 1: went fishing when I was about four and I went down.
- 18:01Speaker 1: He was on top of the bridge over on Hecksher.
- 18:03Speaker 1: He was on the bridge and I went down in
- 18:05Speaker 1: the little where he was fishing, and I caught a
- 18:07Speaker 1: fish with my hands, your bare hands, myre hands. He's
- 18:10Speaker 1: grabbed it. Yeah, kind of savage, I was. My dad
- 18:14Speaker 1: was like, I don't know if fishing's going to fit
- 18:16Speaker 1: your personality. He knew that you were going to be
- 18:18Speaker 1: great one day, John, he saw it. He was like,
- 18:21Speaker 1: how about you?
- 18:22Speaker 2: Meg?
- 18:23Speaker 3: Probably a channel cat like our friend Kayla. My dad
- 18:27Speaker 3: we went fishing all the time. He was big into fishing.
- 18:30Speaker 3: So we would sit down and sometimes get lucky. You
- 18:32Speaker 3: hook a catfish nest and it would just be one
- 18:35Speaker 3: after another.
- 18:36Speaker 1: It's pretty good. Yep, keep on readling. Well, we hope
- 18:38Speaker 1: you both catch a good one here. You know how
- 18:40Speaker 1: the pop quiz works. The first contestant guess is the
- 18:42Speaker 1: number to the question. The second says higher or lower.
- 18:45Speaker 1: If we need a tie breaker, we'll ask a toss
- 18:47Speaker 1: up question. Either contestant can answer. Jay on the West Side.
- 18:50Speaker 1: We'll start with you pop pop singer, former child star,
- 18:55Speaker 1: and now pop singer justin Timberlake. How old is justin now? Jay?
- 19:00Speaker 3: I'm gonna say roughly forty five.
- 19:02Speaker 1: He's exactly forty five years old, Jay, Jay knowing is
- 19:08Speaker 1: justin Timberlake. We won't tell anybody, Jay that you knew exactly.
- 19:11Speaker 1: How great job you get that point, Kayla. You get
- 19:16Speaker 1: this question first. A survey just came out in April
- 19:20Speaker 1: of this year. What percentage of all coffee cups consumed
- 19:24Speaker 1: by American drinkers are served hot? So what percentage of
- 19:28Speaker 1: coffee drinkers like their coffee hot? Kayla?
- 19:35Speaker 3: Maybe like sixty percent?
- 19:37Speaker 1: Okay, Jay, is that number higher or lower? I'm going
- 19:40Speaker 1: to say lower. That was a great guess, Kayla. The
- 19:43Speaker 1: answer is actually still still warm, seventy eight percent. WHOA, Yeah,
- 19:46Speaker 1: I know a lot of ice coffee drinkers, but it's
- 19:49Speaker 1: still people like their coffee hot.
- 19:50Speaker 2: Money.
- 19:51Speaker 1: Good, good job, Kayla, Kayla, you get that point. So
- 19:55Speaker 1: we're ready for a tie breaker. Here, here we go,
- 19:59Speaker 1: country ca capitals again, Here we go. I'll give a
- 20:01Speaker 1: multiple choice. What is the capital of Iran? Is it
- 20:06Speaker 1: Istanbul or Tehran? Jay got through first, Jay, No, it's
- 20:13Speaker 1: not is Tenbull. That's the capital of Turkey. The answer
- 20:18Speaker 1: is Tehran is the answer, and so Kayla is going
- 20:22Speaker 1: to be our winner by default today. Hey gos Jay,
- 20:26Speaker 1: we appreciate you playing man. Great job, and thank you
- 20:29Speaker 1: so much for telling the great story. Thank you All'll
- 20:31Speaker 1: have a good day, you too, buddy and Kayla. Congratulations
- 20:35Speaker 1: A fifty dollars gift card to Metro Diner with Froggie,
- 20:39Speaker 1: Chan and Meghan. Okay, three of us right here. Okay,
- 20:43Speaker 1: there's a new study. They say that dancing with a
- 20:45Speaker 1: partner causes each partner's brain to sync up with each other.
- 20:50Speaker 1: WHOA Yeah. They study pairs of these tango dancers in
- 20:54Speaker 1: Argentina and they were all, Hold on a second, what
- 20:57Speaker 1: you just said. Number one.
- 20:58Speaker 2: They're in Argentina's they they have rhythm. I have two
- 21:01Speaker 2: left feet, and one of them I'm not even sure
- 21:03Speaker 2: is a left fit. Not all Argentines can dance. I
- 21:08Speaker 2: don't think.
- 21:10Speaker 1: Brains do that. That's kind of a dance you do together.
- 21:14Speaker 1: But they're showing. The dancers start stepping with each other
- 21:18Speaker 1: to the music, the brain activity literally starts to look
- 21:21Speaker 1: exactly the same. So I think the three of us
- 21:24Speaker 1: here in a room together for hours and hours at
- 21:27Speaker 1: a time, and by the time we do this for
- 21:29Speaker 1: a while, that our brains would be sinking up, that
- 21:33Speaker 1: our brains will have the same brain waves as Megan.
- 21:36Speaker 1: Do you want that? Well, it would be interesting, wasn't it, Froggy.
- 21:40Speaker 1: I don't think I could.
- 21:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I but I bet you Megan can dance.
- 21:44Speaker 2: I bet you Meghan has rhythm.
- 21:46Speaker 1: I know. I don't.
- 21:46Speaker 2: Well, I don't know I could do this. I can
- 21:48Speaker 2: do like the back against the wall white Man over bite.
- 21:50Speaker 2: That's about the only dancing.
- 21:52Speaker 1: That's a good one. Many do that one. But even
- 21:55Speaker 1: if we're not dancing, just the fact that we're doing
- 21:57Speaker 1: something together, in sync with each other that I think
- 22:01Speaker 1: our brain waves are probably closer than we think, or
- 22:04Speaker 1: maybe closer than we want them to beat.
- 22:06Speaker 3: Yeah, I think I'm already too in sync with you
- 22:08Speaker 3: all because our brain waves sink when we watch Froggy
- 22:11Speaker 3: shoot these markers into the true trash can for his
- 22:14Speaker 3: daily games. John becomes the announcer and I become the
- 22:18Speaker 3: safety officer.
- 22:19Speaker 1: Right.
- 22:20Speaker 2: Do you like sports? Yeah, Megan, have you found yourself
- 22:22Speaker 2: to like sports?
- 22:23Speaker 1: Mare? Because it's all John and I talk about. You know,
- 22:25Speaker 1: I like sports.
- 22:26Speaker 3: When I got here and I'm starting to see whatever
- 22:29Speaker 3: passion there was, dwindle and dwindle with wind Man, And I.
- 22:33Speaker 1: Think that's just because your chiefs aren't doing that good, right,
- 22:36Speaker 1: dirty chiefs.
- 22:37Speaker 3: We can't all like a good team, you know, can't
- 22:40Speaker 3: all be the best?
- 22:42Speaker 1: Sorry, Frog, is that what it is? But I think
- 22:46Speaker 1: you're right John.
- 22:47Speaker 2: I think people who do the same things together they
- 22:49Speaker 2: do become more in sync. I think that's you and
- 22:51Speaker 2: your wife, for example.
- 22:52Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true. I mean, you guys do love to
- 22:54Speaker 1: go to local sporting events, right. You don't even who's playing.
- 22:57Speaker 2: You don't even care who's playing, no matter what team is,
- 23:00Speaker 2: the people nothing, You just enjoy it.
- 23:01Speaker 1: There could be a practice, if their lights are on,
- 23:03Speaker 1: we might drive up to your dugout. That's just how
- 23:06Speaker 1: it is, right, I know you guys enjoy that together.
- 23:08Speaker 1: That's you and sync. So I guess, Yeah, that's true
- 23:10Speaker 1: couples that have been together for a long long time. Yeah,
- 23:12Speaker 1: you and Lisa are synced up. Yeah, oh yeah. She
- 23:16Speaker 1: likes to spend money and I like to tell her
- 23:18Speaker 1: not to do it. It's great. It's like ESPN or something.
- 23:22Speaker 3: Froggy knows when Lisa's wiping the cars.
- 23:25Speaker 1: The other day.
- 23:27Speaker 2: The other day, she was going to go to home goods.
- 23:28Speaker 2: I said, do you want me to go with you?
- 23:30Speaker 2: She said, absolutely not. She said, you don't take the
- 23:35Speaker 2: game warden when you go hunting. It's gonna do hunt.
- 23:41Speaker 2: Megan's three things that you need to know for your
- 23:43Speaker 2: Jacksonville Wednesday.
- 23:44Speaker 1: What's going on now?
- 23:45Speaker 3: There's a new program Amazon's rolling out and we are
- 23:49Speaker 3: getting to be included in this as well as like
- 23:53Speaker 3: a dozen other cities for their first couple go arounds.
- 23:56Speaker 1: It's called Amazon Now.
- 23:57Speaker 3: Household items can be delivered in thirty minutes or less. Hey,
- 24:02Speaker 3: I'm all about it. My Walmart delivery. I pay ten
- 24:05Speaker 3: dollars to have it there within the hour. If I
- 24:08Speaker 3: can get it in thirty minutes, wow, I don't ever
- 24:11Speaker 3: have to go to the grocery store again.
- 24:12Speaker 1: I'm me a happy camper. This weekend.
- 24:15Speaker 3: The Shan's Bridge is closing down nine pm on Friday.
- 24:18Speaker 1: Put it in the back of your brain.
- 24:20Speaker 3: You don't want to get stuck trying to figure out
- 24:22Speaker 3: which detour to take. So while it's closed, you can
- 24:25Speaker 3: take the two ninety five Buckman or if you're further
- 24:29Speaker 3: south around Palaka, just take the Memorial Bridge and get
- 24:32Speaker 3: yourself where you need to go. After eleven years, the
- 24:35Speaker 3: state record for the largest blue catfish has been broken.
- 24:38Speaker 3: I'm so excited about this. An angler named Justin Hodge.
- 24:41Speaker 3: He hooked a seventy three and a half pounder in
- 24:44Speaker 3: the Swanee River. This fish is massive. A grown man
- 24:48Speaker 3: was holding it, the tails at his feet, the mouth
- 24:52Speaker 3: of it that he's got hanging on with his whole
- 24:54Speaker 3: entire hand is up to it like his chest.
- 24:55Speaker 1: Wow, it's huge. Neat a big old, non stop big show.
- 24:58Speaker 1: How's he going? How's your going? How's she going? How
- 25:01Speaker 1: about how you doing? You even want to work? Well?
- 25:04Speaker 1: They work, You're gonna work. Yet sometimes the words don't
- 25:07Speaker 1: come out right. Frock. Hope everything's good with you and
- 25:10Speaker 1: the words are coming out right in your day.
- 25:12Speaker 2: You ever find out about something and you realize you're
- 25:15Speaker 2: like a day later or two days late.
- 25:17Speaker 1: That's my life. Yeah.
- 25:19Speaker 2: So the national average of gas over four dollars and
- 25:22Speaker 2: fifty cents.
- 25:22Speaker 1: Some states higher than that.
- 25:24Speaker 2: Yeah, seven eleven is doing something kind of cool. However,
- 25:27Speaker 2: I found out a day late. I found out about
- 25:29Speaker 2: this just yesterday. From now through I believe it's July, Yeah,
- 25:35Speaker 2: through July eleventh, seven eleven is going to give you
- 25:38Speaker 2: fifty cents off per gallon on gas.
- 25:41Speaker 1: Does anybody want to guess which days they're doing it?
- 25:44Speaker 1: On seven eleventh, July eleventh, on the seventh and the eleventh.
- 25:47Speaker 2: Or something, Yes, so every month between now and July eleventh.
- 25:51Speaker 1: So we just lost it.
- 25:52Speaker 2: And I found out about it on May twelfth, of course,
- 25:54Speaker 2: because my eleventh is the day they did it's right, Yeah,
- 25:57Speaker 2: So June and July is seventh and the eleventh of
- 26:00Speaker 2: June and the seventh and the eleventh of July. You
- 26:03Speaker 2: can get fifty cents off per gallon at seven eleven.
- 26:06Speaker 2: All you have to do to get the discount download
- 26:08Speaker 2: the seven eleven app, create a profile, right, and then
- 26:11Speaker 2: it take exactly how to do it. However, Yeah, I
- 26:13Speaker 2: found out about it on the twelfth. Well, remind you
- 26:18Speaker 2: before you get to June seventh and June eleventh.
- 26:21Speaker 1: But fifty cents a gallon, that's a lot. That is
- 26:24Speaker 1: that a low jip man? Fifty cent savings on a
- 26:27Speaker 1: full tank?
- 26:27Speaker 3: For me, I haven't been to a seven eleven in
- 26:30Speaker 3: town since I've been here. Are they a nice gas station?
- 26:33Speaker 3: Because where I grew up, they're like seven elevens. You
- 26:36Speaker 3: just know that bars on the windows.
- 26:37Speaker 1: They were gone for they were gone from here for
- 26:39Speaker 1: a long time, I mean like for thirty years and
- 26:42Speaker 1: then So it's the newer seven elevens that are making
- 26:44Speaker 1: the comeback.
- 26:44Speaker 2: Yeah, they're building new ones. I know there's one on
- 26:46Speaker 2: two ten right across from the beach Walk. Yes, I've
- 26:49Speaker 2: gone to a couple of times. That one's really nice.
- 26:51Speaker 1: Yeah, there's there's a seven eleven across from Tokoy Creek
- 26:53Speaker 1: and off two ten as well with Froggy, John and Meghan.
- 26:56Speaker 1: Great to be with you.
- 26:58Speaker 2: And know its spend so much time in our cars
- 27:01Speaker 2: now that sometimes you know you got to use your
- 27:04Speaker 2: you have to multitask. Maybe you're on the way to
- 27:07Speaker 2: take the kids to practice, or you're on the way
- 27:09Speaker 2: to work and you've got somewhere else to stop, and
- 27:11Speaker 2: they said, the car has become a dining room of sorts.
- 27:14Speaker 2: That's you ause you're so busy trying to uh, trying
- 27:18Speaker 2: to multitask. But I do, Megan, you keep food in
- 27:23Speaker 2: your car? Yeah, yes, yes, some do this more than others.
- 27:26Speaker 1: Megan. I mean I keep coming.
- 27:27Speaker 3: Him into my car, and I keep an emergency MRI
- 27:31Speaker 3: in the backseat. And there's a box of melted granola bars.
- 27:36Speaker 1: I think I'd eat those melted granola bars. Party eat
- 27:38Speaker 1: that MR. I'm with you, Jo. She may just try
- 27:40Speaker 1: that Mr from her from her army days. Good God,
- 27:43Speaker 1: it's bad. Those are good. They were not good. Say uh.
- 27:48Speaker 2: A mother on Instagram is going viral for explaining how
- 27:51Speaker 2: her daughter has car ranch. Oh, she gets extra packets
- 27:56Speaker 2: when she's at a fast food place and she keeps it.
- 27:58Speaker 2: So they were sitting at the at the at the
- 28:00Speaker 2: table and they were going through expiration dates and throwing
- 28:03Speaker 2: something out, and they threw the salad dressing out. Somebody
- 28:07Speaker 2: wanted ranch. She said, oh, I'll be right back. They
- 28:09Speaker 2: thought she was going to the store. She went out
- 28:12Speaker 2: to her car and got ranch. Megan, do you have
- 28:14Speaker 2: car ranch?
- 28:15Speaker 3: I have car Diablo sauce from Taco Bell and salt
- 28:19Speaker 3: and pepper. But I will say the sonic Ranch cups,
- 28:23Speaker 3: those keep the best in the car.
- 28:24Speaker 1: No, like a cup. It's not even sealed.
- 28:27Speaker 3: It's sealed, but it's those little like they're not like
- 28:30Speaker 3: a squeeze.
- 28:30Speaker 1: Got a foil peel, Yeah, it's got a peel at least, Yeah,
- 28:34Speaker 1: does not need to be cooled. I mean when you
- 28:37Speaker 1: get it in the bag, it's hot. Well, unopened Ranch,
- 28:39Speaker 1: I mean you can keep it in your pantry until
- 28:42Speaker 1: you open it.
- 28:44Speaker 2: In the car for some reason, just in the car
- 28:46Speaker 2: seems unsanitary.
- 28:48Speaker 1: As the scary part because they say that about water.
- 28:50Speaker 1: You can you shouldn't have water that gets hot, you know,
- 28:52Speaker 1: once you've opened it or whatever. I guess, but you
- 28:54Speaker 1: shouldn't keep water in your car that's a couple of
- 28:57Speaker 1: days old if you've already opened it. So somehow Ranch
- 29:01Speaker 1: passes this inspection.
- 29:03Speaker 3: When you've got Moncerella steaks and nothing to dip them in, Hey,
- 29:07Speaker 3: I'll go to my car and get you some of
- 29:08Speaker 3: that too, car Mari and Nara. Yeah, hey, at least
- 29:14Speaker 3: it's not the sour cream and the casadia.
- 29:16Speaker 1: That was in there. Okay, it's a step up.
- 29:18Speaker 3: You're right, my car my neighbor in the trailer park.
- 29:21Speaker 3: Remember I told you guys he telled my car. So
- 29:24Speaker 3: it's still nice, and it's still nice. Yeah, there's nothing
- 29:27Speaker 3: in there. Well, actually there's this is going to make you,
- 29:31Speaker 3: guys sick. A couple of orange.
- 29:33Speaker 1: Juice from how long has it been in there? Last
- 29:36Speaker 1: weekend for your cruise? Oh, right after the cruise. Okay,
- 29:39Speaker 1: it's probably growing mold.
- 29:41Speaker 3: It's probably got my sickness on it too. Oh you know,
- 29:45Speaker 3: might I need to get rid of that?
- 29:47Speaker 1: Yeah? Oh no, it's going going with tongs and a hazmat,
- 29:50Speaker 1: So get rid of that flue written orange juice like
- 29:53Speaker 1: a science crime guys from the Haunt of Virus car.
- 29:58Speaker 1: They'll never catch me alive.
- 30:00Speaker 2: It's getting to Megan's three things you need to know
- 30:02Speaker 2: to get you through your Jackson Wednesday.
- 30:04Speaker 3: Amazon now the new program they're rolling out across different cities.
- 30:07Speaker 3: We get it here and it's really cool because it's
- 30:10Speaker 3: household items delivered in thirty minutes or less.
- 30:14Speaker 1: At the end of this year is when it should
- 30:15Speaker 1: be in full swing. Crazy.
- 30:16Speaker 3: There's a ribbon cutting ceremony happening this morning for the
- 30:19Speaker 3: North Bank River Walk. It's honoring thirty musicians who have
