- 0:01Speaker 1: Hi, it's Phil.
- 0:01Speaker 2: Welcome to another Radio Archive Hour. This one, and by
- 0:04Speaker 2: the way, these Radio Archive Hours are apart from the
- 0:08Speaker 2: featured archive that we do on our everyday show, the
- 0:12Speaker 2: one that we feature on our player on our homepage,
- 0:14Speaker 2: the one featured on the iHeart feed. These extra Radio
- 0:18Speaker 2: Archive Hours go off to Spotify. Some of them are
- 0:22Speaker 2: on the Apple iTunes feed. A lot of them are
- 0:25Speaker 2: just there for you to peruse on your favorite podcast directory. Now,
- 0:31Speaker 2: Here's one from December 2002. That was a great year
- 0:34Speaker 2: for the Phil Hendry Show. It's Dean Wheeler, and he
- 0:37Speaker 2: has a neighborhood watch group that's trying to do what
- 0:39Speaker 2: President Bush wants with the war on terror. He and
- 0:42Speaker 2: his son are watching people at the grocery store. He
- 0:44Speaker 2: and his kids go through neighbor's garbage. They pick through it.
- 0:47Speaker 2: He's questioning people if they have jars of analese. How
- 0:50Speaker 2: come there's bloody tampons? The guy is totally inappropriate, and
- 0:54Speaker 2: you'll hear the end results. Here's Dean Wheeler.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Neighborhood watch program we wanted to do something for our.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Country you guys have a neighborhood when neighborhood watch up
- 1:04Speaker 2: in Mill Valley where you live in up in northern
- 1:06Speaker 2: California right yeah were.
- 1:09Speaker 1: About 30 homes and we keep an eye on each
- 1:11Speaker 1: other but we remember hearing President Bush say that the
- 1:15Speaker 1: the number one soldier in the war on terror is
- 1:17Speaker 1: the American citizen and keeping his eyes and ears open
- 1:20Speaker 1: was important and we wanted to make that fun and
- 1:23Speaker 1: we wanted to tie that in with our neighborhood watch
- 1:26Speaker 1: because what the president is saying is just watch for
- 1:29Speaker 1: anything suspicious. But we also realized that we needed a plan.
- 1:34Speaker 1: How do we do that? And we got together and
- 1:37Speaker 1: we kicked it around, a group of us fathers and
- 1:40Speaker 1: some of the women in the neighborhood who are mothers,
- 1:42Speaker 1: and we care about our neighborhood, and we said, why
- 1:45Speaker 1: don't we start by just simply writing down two or
- 1:47Speaker 1: three things a week that we see a neighbor do
- 1:50Speaker 1: that might be suspicious?
- 1:52Speaker 3: What would that be?
- 1:53Speaker 1: Well, it could be anything. If your neighbors, for instance,
- 1:56Speaker 1: don't have babies, why is she buying diapers? You can
- 2:01Speaker 1: notice so much, Phil, by just watching what kind of
- 2:04Speaker 1: groceries they take out of the back of their car.
- 2:06Speaker 1: If they're doing anything out of the ordinary. I have
- 2:10Speaker 1: a neighbor of mine who is suddenly leaving his house
- 2:12Speaker 1: at 5 a.m. and he's coming back at 7 a.m.
- 2:15Speaker 1: That's suspicious to leave that early in the morning and
- 2:17Speaker 1: return that early in the morning. What we wanted to
- 2:20Speaker 1: do is really back up the president in being the
- 2:24Speaker 1: eyes and the ears of the country and at the
- 2:26Speaker 1: same time help Homeland Security. And that's what getting Uncle
- 2:29Speaker 1: Sam's back is all about.
- 2:32Speaker 3: So it's a matter of.
- 2:33Speaker 2: Just writing down unusual things that you see your neighbors doing?
- 2:37Speaker 1: Yeah. For instance, I'll give an example of a woman
- 2:43Speaker 1: who is.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Leaving the house every day at 11 o'clock and returning
- 2:48Speaker 1: at 11.30, and then she's leaving again, and you don't
- 2:51Speaker 1: know what that is. It could be something innocent. It
- 2:54Speaker 1: might not be. Now, this is something that my wife noticed,
- 2:56Speaker 1: and during the day, housewives can notice these things, watching
- 2:59Speaker 1: their neighbors. You can find out an awful lot, Phil,
- 3:02Speaker 1: by talking to the kids in the neighborhood, because you
- 3:06Speaker 1: are known to those children. Their parents won't mind you
- 3:09Speaker 1: talking to them, so it's not like they're talking to
- 3:11Speaker 1: a stranger. And that way they'll tell you things about
- 3:15Speaker 1: their parents or about what's going on in their house.
- 3:19Speaker 3: So you're writing down two or three things a week.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Well, what we're doing is we're keeping a notebook near
- 3:25Speaker 1: our phone. And I may see a neighbor do something
- 3:29Speaker 1: that's a little bit out of the ordinary. One of
- 3:31Speaker 1: my neighbors across the street walks out onto his front
- 3:34Speaker 1: lawn at night. And he stares up at the sky.
- 3:38Speaker 1: And you can say that maybe he's looking at the stars.
- 3:41Speaker 1: But that seems awfully odd to do every night. I've
- 3:45Speaker 1: looked at the stars, but I think what's normal when
- 3:49Speaker 1: one looks at stars, you do that maybe once a
- 3:52Speaker 1: year or something. You don't stand there every night staring.
- 3:55Speaker 1: And I'm wondering, okay, I'll make a mental note of that.
- 3:57Speaker 1: I write it down in my notebook. And once we
- 4:00Speaker 1: have a full notebook, it's what we call a dossier
- 4:02Speaker 1: on the different people in our neighborhood, then we can
- 4:04Speaker 1: talk to the Department of Homeland Security and do what
- 4:07Speaker 1: the president's asking us to do, and that's to keep
- 4:09Speaker 1: our eyes and our ears open.
- 4:11Speaker 2: All right, we're talking with Dean Wheeler. Dean, you're just
- 4:13Speaker 2: a member of a neighborhood in Mill Valley, California. What
- 4:15Speaker 2: do you do for a living, Dean?
- 4:17Speaker 1: My wife and I operate a bookstore and a holistic
- 4:20Speaker 1: health food store, Phil, in Sausalito, California.
- 4:23Speaker 3: And you live in a neighborhood of some, what, did
- 4:25Speaker 3: you say 20 or 30 homes?
- 4:27Speaker 1: Yeah, it's about that.
- 4:30Speaker 3: Do you all know each other?
- 4:32Speaker 1: Well, we do know each other, but you never want
- 4:34Speaker 1: to get to know people first. so well that you
- 4:39Speaker 1: lose your objectivity because in the war on terror, I
- 4:44Speaker 1: may be turning these people into the police someday, so
- 4:47Speaker 1: why would I want to get to know them that well?
- 4:49Speaker 1: And I think that's the thing that we have to
- 4:51Speaker 1: keep in mind in the next 50 years. When we
- 4:54Speaker 1: fight this horrible thing called terrorism, don't get to know
- 4:57Speaker 1: your neighbors that well because you might, within the next
- 5:00Speaker 1: few years, be literally turning them into the police. And
- 5:04Speaker 1: I can tell you, I think that would be embarrassing
- 5:06Speaker 1: to know somebody and call them a friend and say, oh, yeah,
- 5:09Speaker 1: I called the police. They're going to arrest you today.
- 5:13Speaker 3: All right, our number is 1-800-449-8686.
- 5:15Speaker 2: We're talking about what we as private citizens can do
- 5:18Speaker 2: in the war on terror.
- 5:19Speaker 3: 1-800-449-8686. Mr.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Wheeler's Neighborhood Watch Group, and this grew out of your
- 5:24Speaker 2: Neighborhood Watch, you guys decided to write down things that
- 5:28Speaker 2: you see people in the neighborhood doing suspiciously. You're keeping
- 5:32Speaker 2: track of the groceries that they're taking out of their car.
- 5:35Speaker 2: You're keeping track of the times that they leave their
- 5:36Speaker 2: homes and come back. And you say that you're trying
- 5:39Speaker 2: to make this.
- 5:40Speaker 3: Fun, right?
- 5:41Speaker 1: Well, you want to make it fun. What can we
- 5:43Speaker 1: all do to help our country?
- 5:46Speaker 3: Do you confront people?
- 5:49Speaker 1: You mean verbally, Phil?
- 5:50Speaker 3: Yeah, confront them.
- 5:52Speaker 1: I would not advise that. I just don't think it's
- 5:54Speaker 1: a smart idea. But what you can do and what
- 5:56Speaker 1: we advise people to do is to leave a note
- 5:59Speaker 1: in the mailbox saying, of someone that perhaps you're observing.
- 6:03Speaker 1: And you can put down in the note, what we
- 6:05Speaker 1: do is just a reminder, do you have Uncle Sam's back?
- 6:09Speaker 1: Are you looking out for the country? And that will
- 6:13Speaker 1: either make them think about what they're doing that's suspicious,
- 6:16Speaker 1: or they'll take pains to hide what they're doing. Either way,
- 6:18Speaker 1: you got them. All right.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Getting Uncle Sam's back is the name of your organization,
- 6:23Speaker 2: so you're reminding people to watch out for the country.
- 6:27Speaker 1: That's right.
- 6:27Speaker 3: Is this note anonymous?
- 6:29Speaker 1: Well, you don't sign your name to it, but they
- 6:31Speaker 1: know who it comes from. And the reason why you
- 6:35Speaker 1: don't sign your name is not because you want to
- 6:36Speaker 1: be anonymous. It's because you don't want them to focus
- 6:39Speaker 1: in on one neighbor or another.
- 6:41Speaker 2: All right, so the guy who was leaving his house
- 6:44Speaker 2: at 5 a.m.
- 6:45Speaker 3: And coming home at 7, what was he doing?
- 6:47Speaker 1: Well, I compiled a notebook on him, Phil. And then
- 6:51Speaker 1: once that's done, you write down his license number, and
- 6:54Speaker 1: you get his Social Security number, which you can get
- 6:56Speaker 1: by email. going to his mailbox and opening a piece
- 7:00Speaker 1: of his mail.
- 7:00Speaker 3: All right, but that's against federal law to tamper with
- 7:02Speaker 3: the mail, right?
- 7:03Speaker 1: No, not if you seal it and put it back.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Then it's totally within the parameters of the Homeland Residential
- 7:08Speaker 1: Privilege provisions of the Homeland Security Bill.
- 7:13Speaker 2: All right, so you can go into someone's mailbox under
- 7:16Speaker 2: the current Homeland law.
- 7:18Speaker 1: You can take out a piece of mail, open it,
- 7:20Speaker 1: and read it so long as you reseal it and
- 7:22Speaker 1: put it back because the federal mail is obviously protected
- 7:26Speaker 1: by federal law.
- 7:28Speaker 3: Okay, and then what?
- 7:29Speaker 1: Then we take the dossier and we mail it off,
- 7:31Speaker 1: the dossier off to the Department of Homeland Security in Washington, D.C.,
- 7:34Speaker 1: and we put that to the attention of the Ministry
- 7:36Speaker 1: of Internal Intelligence. And just like that, you have Uncle
- 7:40Speaker 1: Sam's back and you're protecting your country. It's fun. It
- 7:43Speaker 1: helps you. It keeps you sharp because it helps you concentrate.
- 7:48Speaker 1: And someone else is being monitored by the government, so
- 7:51Speaker 1: you do feel like you're doing something for the country.
- 7:54Speaker 1: All right, 1-800-449-8686.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Dean Wheeler here. You don't have an organization, just a
- 7:58Speaker 2: neighborhood watch.
- 7:59Speaker 1: That's right, Phil. This is the Pacific Grove Neighborhood Watch
- 8:02Speaker 1: in Mill Valley, California.
- 8:04Speaker 3: So this is just an outgrowth of your neighborhood watch.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Absolutely, Phil. The thing is, what we once thought is
- 8:11Speaker 1: no more. That's why certain groceries and different comings and
- 8:15Speaker 1: goings are of great concern, and that's what we remind ourselves.
- 8:18Speaker 1: And that's what we tell everybody. What we once thought
- 8:21Speaker 1: is no more. And if you can remind yourself of
- 8:24Speaker 1: that phrase, what you once thought maybe the lady across
- 8:27Speaker 1: the street was a good mother and was taking care
- 8:32Speaker 1: of her children is no more. She is potentially as
- 8:36Speaker 1: dangerous as any al-Qaeda operative. She could be as dangerous.
- 8:41Speaker 1: That pregnant woman could have explosives. It could mean the
- 8:46Speaker 1: death of thousands. A woman driving her child in a
- 8:49Speaker 1: station wagon. uh... with uh... looking baby in a in
- 8:53Speaker 1: a in a in a car seat uh... the next
- 8:56Speaker 1: thing you know if she's driving at all and blowing
- 8:59Speaker 1: it up.
- 9:01Speaker 2: It's a frightening thought yes it is i mean into
- 9:04Speaker 2: a mall driving it right.
- 9:11Speaker 3: One eight hundred four four nine eight six eight six uh...
- 9:15Speaker 3: is this really dean what being a good american is about.
- 9:19Speaker 1: Well, Phil, if you've done nothing wrong, you have nothing
- 9:21Speaker 1: to fear. Remember, what we once thought is no more.
- 9:26Speaker 1: And the other catchphrase we have is, if you've done
- 9:28Speaker 1: nothing wrong, there's nothing to fear. So let's go down
- 9:31Speaker 1: our checklist, if I could, Phil. I don't know how
- 9:33Speaker 1: much time you have.
- 9:34Speaker 3: Yeah, we've got about 30 seconds.
- 9:36Speaker 1: All right, number one, watch for groceries. Watch for groceries
- 9:41Speaker 1: your neighbor takes out of his car. Number two, what
- 9:47Speaker 1: time are they coming home and leaving?
- 9:48Speaker 3: Okay.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Notice any unusual times of day. Number three, in as
- 9:54Speaker 1: friendly a manner as possible, approach their children. You're not
- 9:56Speaker 1: exactly a stranger, so your neighbors won't mind you talking
- 9:59Speaker 1: to their kids. Number four, at least once a week,
- 10:02Speaker 1: make a practice of following the wife on her daily activities.
- 10:06Speaker 1: That is someone else's wife. It's easier to know where
- 10:10Speaker 1: the husband is, Phil, because he's in one place. He's working.
- 10:13Speaker 1: But a wife is tougher to track. Is she communicating
- 10:15Speaker 1: with any cell or any organizations? your government will be
- 10:19Speaker 1: grateful to know. Number five, a good practice is to
- 10:23Speaker 1: write down the license plate number of any visitors who
- 10:25Speaker 1: come to the home. And number six, kids are always
- 10:29Speaker 1: a great source of information, especially girls. If you have
- 10:32Speaker 1: a teenage son, you might get him to be friendly
- 10:35Speaker 1: with a teenage daughter across the street when he brings
- 10:37Speaker 1: her home for refreshments or to play video games. You
- 10:40Speaker 1: can monitor their conversations, train your son on the proper
- 10:44Speaker 1: questions to ask, train him in interrogation techniques. mount a
- 10:47Speaker 1: camera in all bathrooms, enabling you to see visitors in
- 10:50Speaker 1: your home and to see if they're making cell phone
- 10:53Speaker 1: calls while in your bathroom.
- 10:56Speaker 2: All right, 1-800-449-8686. How do we stay aware? What are
- 11:00Speaker 2: the things we can do to help our country be secure?
- 11:03Speaker 2: Let's talk to Lindsay on The Phil Henry Show.
- 11:05Speaker 3: Lindsay, go ahead.
- 11:06Speaker 5: Hi.
- 11:07Speaker 3: Yes, ma'am.
- 11:09Speaker 5: You are really frightening me, the person talking.
- 11:12Speaker 1: I think you're paranoid. Well, it's frightening, Lindsay, what our
- 11:15Speaker 1: country's up against. What are we up against?
- 11:18Speaker 5: We're still, I mean, we're the home of the free,
- 11:20Speaker 5: are we not?
- 11:21Speaker 1: Well, we just had 3,000 human beings incinerated in the
- 11:25Speaker 1: explosion of two buildings, and I don't want to see
- 11:28Speaker 1: that happen again. I don't want to see that happen again, Lindsay.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Okay.
- 11:33Speaker 5: I'm going to be quiet for a minute.
- 11:34Speaker 1: When you're done talking, I get to talk, okay? I
- 11:36Speaker 1: don't want to see that happen again. If that means
- 11:39Speaker 1: monitoring my neighbors to make sure that they're doing things properly...
- 11:43Speaker 1: We'll do that. Now I'm done.
- 11:44Speaker 6: Have you ever heard of obsessive-compulsive? That's what you are.
- 11:47Speaker 1: You know, this isn't the Dr. Phil McGraw show, okay? No,
- 11:50Speaker 1: it's not. We're talking about the security of our country.
- 11:52Speaker 1: It's not. But you know what?
- 11:54Speaker 4: If you were to come.
- 11:55Speaker 5: Into my neighborhood and talk to my children, I'd be
- 11:57Speaker 5: out for kicking.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Your ass, you freak. Well, I doubt very seriously you'd
- 12:01Speaker 1: be able to do that. And besides, you wouldn't know.
- 12:04Speaker 5: Hello?
- 12:08Speaker 3: I guess she hung up.
- 12:10Speaker 1: Well, see, that's a suspicious person right there.
- 12:13Speaker 6: Why?
- 12:14Speaker 1: Because she's overly upset with being looked at. Why is that?
- 12:19Speaker 1: Why is that woman so frightened to have her activities
- 12:23Speaker 1: and her movements scrutinized? I find that very suspicious. Her
- 12:27Speaker 1: name was Lindsay. Can you tell me what city she
- 12:29Speaker 1: was calling from?
- 12:31Speaker 3: Well, you know what?
- 12:33Speaker 1: Phil, just as an exercise.
- 12:35Speaker 2: All right, she was calling from Salt Lake City.
- 12:37Speaker 5: All right.
- 12:37Speaker 1: There's a woman named Lindsay in Salt Lake City who
- 12:40Speaker 1: is very suspicious. She doesn't like the fact that I
- 12:43Speaker 1: love my country or that I want to protect it. And, Lindsay,
- 12:46Speaker 1: I don't want to hurt you, and we don't want
- 12:48Speaker 1: to hurt you. We want to help you. So if
- 12:51Speaker 1: you could contact the Homeland Security Office in Washington, D.C.,
- 12:56Speaker 1: tell us what you know, tell us what it is
- 12:58Speaker 1: that you're afraid of.
- 12:59Speaker 3: All right, 1-800-449-8686.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Dean Wheeler's neighborhood watch group got together and said, how
- 13:07Speaker 2: can we be the eyes and the ears?
- 13:08Speaker 3: How can we do what President Bush asked us to do?
- 13:10Speaker 2: He and his neighbors are doing things like writing down
- 13:14Speaker 2: suspicious movements of their neighbors. They're talking to the neighbors' children.
- 13:17Speaker 2: They're monitoring the groceries that are going in and out
- 13:19Speaker 2: of the houses. They're doing what they can to make
- 13:21Speaker 2: sure America is safe, according to them. Is this paranoid?
- 13:25Speaker 2: Is this being a bad neighbor? Is it being a
- 13:27Speaker 2: good neighbor? And is it all right for a friend
- 13:30Speaker 2: of yours, for a friend of yours, to talk to
- 13:32Speaker 2: your children about And by doing so, get information about you.
- 13:36Speaker 3: They're not a stranger. They're a friend. Phil Henry Show.
- 13:41Speaker 3: Phil Henry Show.
- 13:42Speaker 1: 1-800-449-8686. Right.
- 13:42Speaker 3: And a lot of these things, Phil.
- 13:45Speaker 1: All right.
- 13:47Speaker 2: I'm talking with Dean Wheeler with a neighborhood watch group
- 13:49Speaker 2: in Northern California. How can we help the war on terror?
- 13:52Speaker 2: The president has said, keep your eyes and your ears open.
- 13:55Speaker 2: We've just had new threats from Al Qaeda. We've got
- 13:57Speaker 2: a new operative in custody. These are heady times, aren't.
- 14:00Speaker 3: They, Dean?
- 14:01Speaker 1: They really are, Phil, and it's the time, I think,
- 14:02Speaker 1: for all of us to keep an eye on each other,
- 14:04Speaker 1: but we can have fun doing it. It doesn't have
- 14:06Speaker 1: to be a frightening experience. My kids and I enjoy,
- 14:10Speaker 1: and I'll tell you right now, and I don't see
- 14:14Speaker 1: anything wrong with this, and there's nothing illegal in going
- 14:16Speaker 1: through your neighbor's garbage. You can go down early in
- 14:20Speaker 1: the morning before the truck arrives, and you can pull
- 14:26Speaker 1: two or Three bags out of the can and go
- 14:30Speaker 1: through the garbage and have the bags back in. And
- 14:33Speaker 1: the kids think it's fun. We've set up kind of
- 14:37Speaker 1: a conveyor belt in my garage so we can go
- 14:40Speaker 1: through this stuff. Taking Polaroid pictures of visitors to the home.
- 14:43Speaker 1: Whatever you can do. Remember, Phil, and I want to
- 14:45Speaker 1: remind everybody, 3,000 Americans gave up their lives so that
- 14:50Speaker 1: we can all sit. and not do anything about this.
- 14:53Speaker 1: So we can all sit and watch football. Well, I'm
- 14:56Speaker 1: not going to do that. I refuse to do that.
- 14:58Speaker 1: I want to be active. I want to be in
- 14:59Speaker 1: the war. And I'm going to be in the war.
- 15:02Speaker 2: I think it's admirable having your kids get up early
- 15:04Speaker 2: in the morning so you guys can haul garbage bags
- 15:07Speaker 2: into the garage and put it on a conveyor belt.
- 15:10Speaker 1: So we can pick through the garbage. And most of
- 15:12Speaker 1: it's innocent. But every now and again there's a page
- 15:16Speaker 1: with some handwriting on it. Every now and again there's
- 15:18Speaker 1: a Oh, I don't know. There's a phone number. Every
- 15:20Speaker 1: now and again there's equipment that you don't recognize that's
- 15:24Speaker 1: being tossed out. It's interesting. 1-800-449-8686.
- 15:27Speaker 2: Raul, you're on the Phil Henry Show with Dean Wheeler.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Yes. How are you doing?
- 15:33Speaker 3: Yes, sir.
- 15:34Speaker 7: Dean, I really admire your pizzazz to defend my country.
- 15:39Speaker 7: I love my country just as much as you do.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Thank you very much.
- 15:41Speaker 7: In fact, I served in the Marine Corps.
- 15:42Speaker 1: Thank you very much.
- 15:43Speaker 7: But there's a couple of points there that I'm really
- 15:45Speaker 7: worried about, man, because, you know, with so many pedophiles,
- 15:49Speaker 7: I'm not going to feel very comfortable having adults coming,
- 15:52Speaker 7: approaching my children.
- 15:53Speaker 1: These are people you know.
- 15:54Speaker 7: I'm not present.
- 15:54Speaker 1: These are people you know. These are your neighbors. In
- 15:56Speaker 1: other words, you've talked to them. You've met them. You
- 15:58Speaker 1: know the way.
- 15:59Speaker 7: And pedophiles come from even inside the family, my friend. Uncles, aunts,
- 16:02Speaker 7: you name it.
- 16:03Speaker 1: Do you have friends? Do you have friends?
- 16:05Speaker 7: And secondly, the other family I make is.
- 16:07Speaker 3: Wait a minute, Raul. Raul, hold on. Hold on. Hold on.
- 16:10Speaker 3: Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Did you hear his question?
- 16:14Speaker 1: No, I'm sorry.
- 16:14Speaker 3: What was your question, Dean?
- 16:16Speaker 1: Do you have friends?
- 16:17Speaker 7: Of course.
- 16:19Speaker 1: Okay. Do you suspect them as being pedophiles? That's what
- 16:25Speaker 1: I'm talking about.
- 16:25Speaker 7: I suspect my children as much as I can. And
- 16:28Speaker 7: unless I know someone very, very well, even then I'm
- 16:31Speaker 7: still a little apprehensive.
- 16:32Speaker 1: I always want to be present.
- 16:34Speaker 7: There's some adults.
- 16:35Speaker 1: I'm not saying anything to them other than what time
- 16:38Speaker 1: does your dad go to work, what time does he
- 16:39Speaker 1: get home. There's nothing sexual. You don't have to worry
- 16:41Speaker 1: about that.
- 16:43Speaker 7: Well, like you said, everyone can be a suspicious person. Well,
- 16:46Speaker 7: I'd rather go more to what can really... Today, and.
- 16:49Speaker 1: Around my family, that's a pedophile. I take the kids... Well,
- 16:52Speaker 1: I'm not... You don't have to worry about that, Roe.
- 16:54Speaker 1: We're just looking through your garbage. How often, for instance,
- 16:58Speaker 1: does your wife ever.
- 16:59Speaker 7: How can you say not to worry?
- 17:00Speaker 1: How often?
- 17:01Speaker 7: I mean, how can you say not to worry if
- 17:02Speaker 7: you're going to go over somebody's house.
- 17:04Speaker 1: Right. We're not going to go through your... Open up
- 17:06Speaker 1: a mailbox... Yeah.
- 17:07Speaker 7: And it's a security fraud as far as Visa card
- 17:10Speaker 7: or anything else.
- 17:10Speaker 1: Right. I mean.
- 17:12Speaker 7: How can you expect someone just to lay back and
- 17:13Speaker 7: say that's okay?
- 17:15Speaker 1: Because I'm not doing anything other than making sure that
- 17:17Speaker 1: your purchases are proper. How often, for instance, does your
- 17:21Speaker 1: wife have her period? How often, for instance... These are
- 17:23Speaker 1: innocent questions, and when we find out the answer... Wait
- 17:26Speaker 1: a minute, wait a minute. That is yours.
- 17:27Speaker 3: You're not a cop, right, Dean?
- 17:29Speaker 1: Oh, no, no. I'm just with Neighborhood Watch. But we're
- 17:31Speaker 1: doing what the president asked us to do. Keep an
- 17:33Speaker 1: eye out.
- 17:34Speaker 7: Did the president say to check out if my wife
- 17:36Speaker 7: has a period for every offer? I mean, come on.
- 17:40Speaker 1: Well, like I said, I don't know what you're doing.
- 17:44Speaker 1: You have to really rethink how you're doing it. This
- 17:46Speaker 1: is going to sound crazy. Is she really a woman?
- 17:47Speaker 1: For instance, your wife, you could be living with a
- 17:50Speaker 1: man disguised as a woman, and I look at her tampon,
- 17:54Speaker 1: and it's clean. Oh, God.
- 17:57Speaker 3: Okay, so what are you saying?
- 17:59Speaker 1: I mean, if they're living together, they're showing a facade.
- 18:04Speaker 3: They're really two guys living together with one dressed as
- 18:06Speaker 3: a woman?
- 18:07Speaker 1: Yes.
- 18:08Speaker 2: Why?
- 18:09Speaker 1: Some kind of cell activity, some kind of terrorist activity.
- 18:13Speaker 3: And for that, you're going.
- 18:14Speaker 1: Through the garbage.
- 18:15Speaker 7: If you can't tell a man from a woman, then
- 18:16Speaker 7: how are you going to tell a terrorist from a
- 18:18Speaker 7: regular American?
- 18:19Speaker 1: Well, I can tell you the Israelis took out a
- 18:21Speaker 1: bunch of terrorists dressed as women. They did it in
- 18:24Speaker 1: 19-whatever it was, I forget. But I'll tell you this, Roe,
- 18:28Speaker 1: I'm not going to do anything other than take your
- 18:30Speaker 1: kids for a car ride and say, hey, you want
- 18:32Speaker 1: to get an ice cream cone and ask them about it.
- 18:35Speaker 7: Take my kids on a car ride? Are you crazy?
- 18:38Speaker 1: No, all I'm doing is I'm asking. No way, man.
- 18:40Speaker 1: No way.
- 18:41Speaker 7: I'm sure any parent who's listening to this station right
- 18:44Speaker 7: now will not ever let their children go with any
- 18:47Speaker 7: kind of neighbor for a ride without them being present.
- 18:50Speaker 7: I haven't been consulted.
- 18:51Speaker 1: But you would know me.
- 18:52Speaker 3: Aren't you asking the man's permission?
- 18:55Speaker 1: Look, he's not even home yet. The kids are out playing.
- 18:57Speaker 1: I get them in the car. I drive them around.
- 18:59Speaker 1: What does your dad do for a living? What does
- 19:01Speaker 1: your mom do? Is your mom really.
- 19:03Speaker 7: So why do you need the kids to do that?
- 19:04Speaker 7: Why don't you go upstate to the guy.
- 19:06Speaker 2: And ask him?
- 19:06Speaker 1: Does your mother take her clothes off in front of you?
- 19:08Speaker 1: Does your father? You know, that's what I'm saying, Roe.
- 19:11Speaker 1: And that's why.
- 19:12Speaker 2: This is very invasive, and the stuff you're asking the
- 19:14Speaker 2: kids got nothing to do with Homeland Security.
- 19:17Speaker 1: Absolutely. Well, Phil, I disagree. I disagree. I respectfully disagree, Roe.
- 19:22Speaker 1: Are you American? Who, me? Yes. Born and raised in
- 19:26Speaker 1: New York. Well, the name is a little unusual. That's
- 19:29Speaker 1: all it's... All right, well, I'll just take your.
- 19:33Speaker 3: Name down here, Raul.
- 19:38Speaker 1: Yeah, okay.
- 19:39Speaker 3: The Phil Henry Show is back.
- 19:42Speaker 1: 1-800-449-8686.
- 19:42Speaker 3: I'm with Dean Wheeler.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Now, you're in your garage right now, Dean, and you've
- 19:44Speaker 2: got what is a conveyor belt in the garage where
- 19:47Speaker 2: you put neighbor's trash.
- 19:48Speaker 3: On there and you pick through it.
- 19:50Speaker 1: Right? That is right, Phil.
- 19:52Speaker 3: Okay. Are you seeing anything?
- 19:54Speaker 1: Well, we've got some garbage here that we picked out
- 19:56Speaker 1: of a can at the bottom of the street. Now,
- 19:59Speaker 1: this is the Mueller home. There are two blonde-haired, blue-eyed people,
- 20:03Speaker 1: Northern European extractions. Why do they have six or seven
- 20:08Speaker 1: empty refried bean cans? It's unusual. It's unusual. I'm Irish.
- 20:12Speaker 3: I like refried beans.
- 20:13Speaker 1: But it's unusual to eat that many in a week.
- 20:17Speaker 1: Here is a half-used box of condoms. What's that about?
- 20:21Speaker 1: Are they having sex regularly, and why are they not?
- 20:24Speaker 1: Here is a perfectly good Pittsburgh Steeler game hat, and
- 20:28Speaker 1: yet we live in the San Francisco area. Here are
- 20:32Speaker 1: bunches of bananas. Here is a receipt from an Indian restaurant. Lamb,
- 20:39Speaker 1: here are containers for lamb, lamb, lamb. You see that
- 20:42Speaker 1: there is suspicious enough activity here whereby we can turn
- 20:46Speaker 1: this dossier over to the Homeland Security Office as a
- 20:49Speaker 1: good citizen.
- 20:50Speaker 2: Because they eat lamb, they ate in an Indian restaurant,
- 20:53Speaker 2: they have uneaten bananas, and they, I think you mentioned.
- 20:57Speaker 3: One other thing.
- 20:58Speaker 1: The refried beans.
- 21:00Speaker 3: And the Steeler's hat.
- 21:01Speaker 1: Yes, sir.
- 21:02Speaker 3: All right, 1-800-449-8686. Cindy, go ahead.
- 21:07Speaker 5: Hi, Phil.
- 21:07Speaker 1: Yes, ma'am.
- 21:08Speaker 5: This is Cindy speaking.
- 21:09Speaker 1: Yes, ma'am.
- 21:10Speaker 5: I really think that this gentleman there.
- 21:13Speaker 3: I've been.
- 21:13Speaker 5: Listening to the show since it started. There is not
- 21:17Speaker 5: one thing, not one item that he has listed that
- 21:20Speaker 5: I believe is doing any kind of good to the
- 21:24Speaker 5: United States citizens.
- 21:26Speaker 6: I think this guy.
- 21:27Speaker 5: No, it's very sad.
- 21:28Speaker 1: I think it's very sad. I think it's very sad
- 21:30Speaker 1: that you find excuses not to help this country. I've
- 21:34Speaker 1: been hearing nothing but from people who want to find
- 21:36Speaker 1: excuses to do nothing for their country.
- 21:38Speaker 5: Dean, Dean, I'm going to listen to you, but please
- 21:41Speaker 5: respect when I speak because we can't speak at the
- 21:43Speaker 5: same time.
- 21:43Speaker 6: All right, go ahead.
- 21:44Speaker 5: We're not going to get our points across.
- 21:45Speaker 1: Go ahead.
- 21:46Speaker 5: I really think that your behavior is the one that
- 21:49Speaker 5: needs to be monitored. It's extremely strange behavior. What you're doing,
- 21:55Speaker 5: going through people's garbage, is an invasion of privacy. I
- 21:59Speaker 5: do not believe that when the President of the United
- 22:02Speaker 5: States asked the citizens of the U.S. to be active
- 22:06Speaker 5: in protecting our country, I do not think he meant
- 22:09Speaker 5: for you to go up to children, ask them what
- 22:12Speaker 5: their parents do if they undress in front of them,
- 22:16Speaker 5: to go through their garbage and see if a tampon's.
- 22:19Speaker 6: Bloody or not.
- 22:20Speaker 5: This is perverted behavior. You are having and doing perverted behavior.
- 22:26Speaker 3: Okay, your response, Dean?
- 22:28Speaker 1: I think, Phil, when the Nazis invaded Poland and went
- 22:32Speaker 1: into France and eventually, of course, took over all of Europe,
- 22:36Speaker 1: a lot of people thought that the individuals that wanted
- 22:38Speaker 1: to fight them were paranoid. They soon found out that
- 22:42Speaker 1: they weren't. Al-Qaeda murdered 3,000 people. Look at this. Why
- 22:46Speaker 1: does a woman have six empty boxes of Vagisil? It's
- 22:51Speaker 1: none of your business.
- 22:54Speaker 5: It's none of your business if she's having sex three
- 22:57Speaker 5: times a day or ten times a day. That's none
- 23:01Speaker 5: of your business.
- 23:04Speaker 1: Then what is my business when the president says, keep
- 23:06Speaker 1: your eyes open?
- 23:07Speaker 5: You know what's your business? Okay, I'm going to tell
- 23:09Speaker 5: you what your business is if you want to be active.
- 23:11Speaker 5: If you want my opinion, I'll give you my opinion.
- 23:13Speaker 1: This is a straight couple. Here's a jar of analese.
- 23:16Speaker 6: Why?
- 23:18Speaker 5: Dean, listen to me. I could completely understand if you
- 23:22Speaker 5: see a guy across the street that is loading a
- 23:26Speaker 5: bag of rifles into the backseat of his car or
- 23:30Speaker 5: all of a sudden is dressing all in black after
- 23:32Speaker 5: 8 o'clock at night and goes out for a couple
- 23:34Speaker 5: of hours, comes back with unusual stuff in his back.
- 23:37Speaker 4: I mean, that's okay.
- 23:38Speaker 5: I could understand and relate to that. But going up
- 23:41Speaker 5: to children, asking them if their parents undressed, going through
- 23:45Speaker 5: garbage and having your children, which is what I'm concerned about,
- 23:48Speaker 5: your poor little children doing your strange behavior.
- 23:51Speaker 1: No, wait. I've got a teenage son who dates a
- 23:53Speaker 1: young lady across the street, Lauren, and she's a nice girl,
- 23:56Speaker 1: but he asks her questions. And that way we can,
- 23:59Speaker 1: I don't have to, he just asks her, what is
- 24:01Speaker 1: your father and mother doing, et cetera. I think it's
- 24:03Speaker 1: very innocent. And it's not what your country can do
- 24:06Speaker 1: for you. It's how well that you can investigate. and
- 24:09Speaker 1: do what you can for your country, as John Kennedy said.
- 24:12Speaker 1: I took those words very seriously, Cindy, when the president
- 24:15Speaker 1: spoke them. It's been a long time, but I do
- 24:18Speaker 1: love my country.
- 24:19Speaker 5: Dean, I love my country.
- 24:21Speaker 1: I love my country very.
- 24:23Speaker 5: Much, but it's not admirable behavior what you're doing. It's strange,
- 24:27Speaker 5: and I think most people will agree with what I'm saying.
- 24:29Speaker 1: Well, I can't get over....
- 24:34Speaker 5: And what you're doing is you're raising children that are
- 24:37Speaker 5: going to be just as strange as you.
- 24:39Speaker 1: That is not normal. You call it strange. I can't
- 24:42Speaker 1: get over the fact that Bill and Rebecca Wilson, two
- 24:45Speaker 1: people that I've known, are using countless jars of analese,
- 24:51Speaker 1: which is.
- 24:53Speaker 3: The lady asked, what difference does it make?
- 24:57Speaker 1: A straight couple using analese. If I went into your
- 25:03Speaker 1: medicine cabinet, Cindy, how much of that would I find there?
- 25:06Speaker 5: Okay, listen to me.
- 25:07Speaker 1: No, I'm serious.
- 25:08Speaker 5: Listen to me, Dr.
- 25:09Speaker 1: Ruth. It's none of your business.
- 25:12Speaker 5: It's none of your business how much people have said
- 25:15Speaker 5: what their preference is. That has nothing to do with
- 25:18Speaker 5: terrorist behavior.
- 25:19Speaker 3: Does this have to do with you thinking that this
- 25:21Speaker 3: woman may be a man?
- 25:22Speaker 1: This is the way that terrorists infiltrate neighborhoods.
- 25:26Speaker 7: It is not the way.
- 25:27Speaker 6: You know what?
- 25:28Speaker 5: I disagree with that.
- 25:29Speaker 1: I disagree with that. If they're homosexuals, which Al-Qaeda is
- 25:33Speaker 1: notoriously homosexual, she takes off or he takes off the
- 25:38Speaker 1: female clothing and they're going at it night and day.
- 25:40Speaker 1: I mean, there must be 50 jars of Annalise here. Billy,
- 25:42Speaker 1: why don't you count?
- 25:43Speaker 3: Phil, Phil, please save me. Wait, do you have your son? Yeah,
- 25:46Speaker 3: I'm your son. Am I the only gay person in
- 25:48Speaker 3: this conversation? I agree, I agree. Do you have your
- 25:51Speaker 3: son counting those jars?
- 25:52Speaker 1: Yes, I do.
- 25:54Speaker 2: Why don't you do your kid a favor and get
- 25:56Speaker 2: him out of that garage so he's not counting jars
- 25:58Speaker 2: of Annalise, Vagisil.
- 26:00Speaker 3: Oh, my God. Oh, my God.
- 26:03Speaker 1: You know what? Let me tell you. No, I'm shocked.
- 26:06Speaker 1: I'm shocked that 3,000 Americans lost their lives, and I'm
- 26:09Speaker 1: the only one taking it seriously. Sir.
- 26:11Speaker 5: You're taking it real seriously. I feel real safe with
- 26:14Speaker 5: you in my neighborhood, buddy. I feel real safe with.
- 26:15Speaker 1: You in my neighborhood. I can tell you right now
- 26:17Speaker 1: there's probably something in your garbage that you want to
- 26:19Speaker 1: hide from me because the only.
- 26:21Speaker 4: No, you know what?
- 26:22Speaker 5: There's nothing in my garbage I want you to see.
- 26:24Speaker 1: But if you want to know, you'll.
- 26:26Speaker 5: Probably find a bunch of used condoms. How about that?
- 26:31Speaker 5: Is that going to make me strange?
- 26:34Speaker 1: All right, Cindy, when you go to heaven at the
- 26:36Speaker 1: end of this.
- 26:36Speaker 5: World, at the.
- 26:38Speaker 1: End of this life, Cindy, at the end of this life,
- 26:41Speaker 1: when you go to heaven and you see the 3,000
- 26:44Speaker 1: souls of those people who perished on 9-11, what are
- 26:45Speaker 1: you going to say to them?
- 26:47Speaker 2: Oh, that is a dirty pool. Let me tell you something, pal.
- 26:50Speaker 2: I was in New York on 9-11 on the anniversary.
- 26:52Speaker 2: I saw those people.
- 26:53Speaker 1: 3,000 people are dead, and I'm the only one counting
- 26:57Speaker 1: jars of Adelaide.
- 26:59Speaker 3: You know something? You mock those people.
- 27:02Speaker 1: How dare you?
- 27:03Speaker 3: No, how dare you? You mock them.
- 27:06Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 27:07Speaker 3: Thank you very much, Cindy.
- 27:08Speaker 7: Oh, good.
- 27:09Speaker 1: You finally said what she's.
- 27:10Speaker 3: Been trying to spit out. Yeah.
- 27:12Speaker 1: 1-800-449-8686.
- 27:13Speaker 3: Lucille, go ahead. You're on the Phil Hendry Show.
- 27:15Speaker 1: Hi. Hi.
- 27:16Speaker 3: Would you turn that conveyor belt off, Mr. Wheeler, please?
- 27:19Speaker 1: Hold on. There's something coming up. Yep. There's another char.
- 27:23Speaker 3: Go ahead, Lucille.
- 27:24Speaker 4: I think that the present speaker is suffering from paranoia.
- 27:29Speaker 4: He's the weirdest person I have ever heard. And this
- 27:32Speaker 4: is the scariest thing that I have heard since 9-11.
- 27:35Speaker 1: Wait a minute. Did you see Michael Jackson dangle his
- 27:37Speaker 1: kid out a window?
- 27:38Speaker 4: Yes, I did.
- 27:39Speaker 1: You think I'm weirder than that?
- 27:41Speaker 4: I don't know, but you're weird in many, many ways.
- 27:44Speaker 1: In what ways?
- 27:45Speaker 5: In what ways?
- 27:47Speaker 4: Who gives you the right to go through people's garbage?
- 27:50Speaker 4: Who gives you the right to open people's mail and
- 27:52Speaker 4: then reseal it and put it back? You call that patriotic?
- 27:56Speaker 1: I don't. I'm trying to find out what people are doing.
- 27:58Speaker 4: You sound like somebody from Nazi Germany or old Soviet Russia.
- 28:02Speaker 1: Lucille, that is unfair. I'm an American. My father fought
- 28:05Speaker 1: the Nazis in World War II. And let me say this.
- 28:09Speaker 1: Why is it against the law to go through someone's
- 28:11Speaker 1: garbage when they've thrown it away?
- 28:13Speaker 4: It doesn't belong to you. People have a certain.
- 28:16Speaker 1: Right to privacy. Who does it belong to?
- 28:18Speaker 4: It belongs to the garbage people who are going to
- 28:20Speaker 4: destroy it.
- 28:21Speaker 1: Can they go through it? Are they allowed to go
- 28:22Speaker 1: through it?
- 28:23Speaker 4: I don't know. I don't know what they do with
- 28:26Speaker 4: the garbage, but certainly you are also endangering the life
- 28:29Speaker 4: of your kids going to other people's garbage, and you're
- 28:32Speaker 4: also raising your kids to be very suspicious and not
- 28:35Speaker 4: very patriotic people, I must say.
- 28:38Speaker 1: Well, I will tell you this, Lucille. In a way,
- 28:41Speaker 1: I am the garbage man because I take the garbage,
- 28:43Speaker 1: I sift through it, I make notations, and then I
- 28:46Speaker 1: take it to the dump myself.
- 28:48Speaker 4: Isn't that nice?
- 28:49Speaker 1: Isn't that nice of me?
- 28:51Speaker 4: Very nice of you. And I would say that most
- 28:53Speaker 4: of the things you're talking about are garbage, and that's
- 28:56Speaker 4: why you feel you know how to handle it. But
- 28:59Speaker 4: you are really a scary person, and I think that
- 29:03Speaker 4: really people would be very, very afraid to hear the
- 29:06Speaker 4: things that you are doing, and I can't believe that
- 29:08Speaker 4: anybody who has asked us to report anything that might
- 29:12Speaker 4: be suspicious to be going to the extent that.
- 29:15Speaker 1: You are going.
- 29:16Speaker 4: You are really nuts.
- 29:17Speaker 1: Could you repeat that?
- 29:18Speaker 4: I said you really are nuts.
- 29:20Speaker 1: All right. Well, Lucille, one wouldn't be worried about their
- 29:23Speaker 1: garbage if they didn't have terrorist activity items in it.
- 29:27Speaker 1: So I would love to take a look at your...
- 29:29Speaker 1: I don't know why... I'd love to look in your dumpster. Well,
- 29:32Speaker 1: I wouldn't let you.
- 29:33Speaker 4: No, I wouldn't let you because I'm hiding all kinds.
- 29:35Speaker 1: Of things from you. You wouldn't let me?
- 29:37Speaker 3: No.
- 29:37Speaker 1: What, are you going to go down to your garbage
- 29:39Speaker 1: can with a gun? Right.
- 29:40Speaker 3: All right. Thank you very much.
- 29:42Speaker 4: 1-800-449-8686.
- 29:43Speaker 2: Dean, I can't wish you good luck because I think
- 29:47Speaker 2: what you're doing is patently unconstitutional.
- 29:51Speaker 1: Look at that. Okay, I'm sorry, Phil. I know you're upset,
- 29:53Speaker 1: but look at this. Another half-open bottle of, another half-open
- 29:56Speaker 1: box of condoms. Here's another half-open bottle of ketchup.
- 30:01Speaker 3: Whatever, man. What does that mean, something?
- 30:03Speaker 1: It just bothers me, that's all. It's just weird.
- 30:08Speaker 3: The Phil Henry Show is back.
- 30:10Speaker 1: 1-800-449-8686.
- 30:10Speaker 3: I got the.
- 30:11Speaker 1: Binoculars on her right now.
- 30:15Speaker 2: All right, you're looking through the window of who? And
- 30:17Speaker 2: by the way, this is a violation of the law.
- 30:19Speaker 1: No, sir. Phil, this is Homeland Security.
- 30:23Speaker 3: No, looking through the window.
- 30:24Speaker 1: This woman claims to be pregnant. And I'll tell you something,
- 30:28Speaker 1: she better be, or there's something under that dress other
- 30:30Speaker 1: than her stomach. And it could be fertilizer explosives. It
- 30:35Speaker 1: could be a variety of chemical or biological canisters.
- 30:39Speaker 3: So what are you doing?
- 30:40Speaker 1: I'm looking through the, yeah, yeah, she's taking it off now. Tommy,
- 30:45Speaker 1: go in the house.
- 30:46Speaker 3: Are you with your son?
- 30:47Speaker 1: Yeah, go in the house. She's taking it off now. Oh,
- 30:52Speaker 1: she's got to be nine months. Have you ever visited
- 30:55Speaker 1: these pregnant sites?
- 30:56Speaker 3: Look, I don't want to talk about this, all right?
- 30:58Speaker 1: I'm looking at it.
- 31:01Speaker 3: 1-800-449-8686. Roseanne, go ahead.
- 31:04Speaker 6: I think you are sick in the head.
- 31:08Speaker 1: Mr. Hendry?
- 31:09Speaker 3: No, she's talking about you.
- 31:12Speaker 6: And you should be investigated for cruelty to children. I
- 31:16Speaker 6: don't care if you've got gloves up to your elbows
- 31:21Speaker 6: for anybody to go through somebody's garbage. They have to
- 31:25Speaker 6: have all kinds of phobias.
- 31:28Speaker 1: Ma'am, the country, there might be al-Qaeda in my neighborhood.
- 31:33Speaker 1: You've heard of them, haven't you? They killed 3,000 Americans.
- 31:37Speaker 6: And you are going to go through somebody's garbage with
- 31:40Speaker 6: two children that should be removed.
- 31:43Speaker 1: From your care.
- 31:44Speaker 3: Yeah, I agree with you, Roseanne.
- 31:46Speaker 1: No, you agree? Look, my son's helping me go through
- 31:49Speaker 1: some empty Vagisil boxes, and that's it.
- 31:53Speaker 6: Honey, you need help. You should get help. And if
- 31:57Speaker 6: you can't get it, maybe this radio show will help
- 32:01Speaker 6: you get it.
- 32:01Speaker 3: I think maybe we could.
- 32:03Speaker 1: I'm looking through the window of a woman who claims
- 32:05Speaker 1: to be pregnant. Who cares? Now, let's say, what if
- 32:08Speaker 1: she isn't? What if she's lying? What if she's got
- 32:10Speaker 1: Al-Qaeda under her skirt? Mr., you need help.
- 32:14Speaker 6: You want to write to the president, tell him just
- 32:16Speaker 6: what you're doing.
- 32:17Speaker 4: He's not going to give.
- 32:19Speaker 6: You any medals.
- 32:20Speaker 1: I'll get the Presidential Medal of Freedom. You will not.
- 32:23Speaker 1: You don't think so?
- 32:24Speaker 3: No.
- 32:24Speaker 1: What are you doing?
- 32:25Speaker 6: You'll get locked up in a sanatorium, and somebody else
- 32:29Speaker 6: will be raising your children.
- 32:31Speaker 1: Ma'am, I'd like to know, for you to be this angry,
- 32:34Speaker 1: what are you hiding?
- 32:37Speaker 6: I am very angry at anybody that would subject their
- 32:42Speaker 6: children to such nonsense. I work in a hospital, and
- 32:47Speaker 6: I would not go through anybody's garbage.
- 32:50Speaker 1: Even if... Is Annalise flammable?
- 32:53Speaker 4: Oh.
- 32:53Speaker 1: Jesus, this woman's ass could blow San Francisco off the map. Look,
- 32:57Speaker 1: my son Tommy has been able to get over to
- 32:59Speaker 1: the Phillips house and bring over some very vital dirty
- 33:02Speaker 1: laundry for us to analyze.
- 33:05Speaker 6: Don't you have anything better to do with your children
- 33:09Speaker 6: and their time?
- 33:11Speaker 1: Well, they go to school, and when Tommy comes home,
- 33:13Speaker 1: he does his homework. We finish dinner, then Tommy comes
- 33:16Speaker 1: into the garage, and we begin what we call Crime
- 33:18Speaker 1: Fighter Night. We kick through garbage.
- 33:21Speaker 6: Why don't you go to a basketball game with Tommy?
- 33:25Speaker 6: Why don't you play ball with Tommy? Why don't you
- 33:28Speaker 6: give him some good memories?
- 33:32Speaker 1: And, Roseanne, if we're at a basketball game and your
- 33:34Speaker 1: home is blown to bits by al-Qaeda, the night I'm
- 33:37Speaker 1: watching the Lakers lose another one, how are you going
- 33:39Speaker 1: to feel about that?
- 33:40Speaker 6: I certainly don't want your help.
- 33:43Speaker 1: Oh, you just want to get blowed up?
- 33:44Speaker 6: I don't want your help.
- 33:47Speaker 3: What do you mean, Tommy brings you.
- 33:48Speaker 1: Tommy goes over to visit the girl across the street,
- 33:51Speaker 1: and he sneaks some of the dirty laundry in his jacket.
- 33:54Speaker 1: Then we bring it here and analyze it. And don't
- 33:58Speaker 1: ask me how, because it's none of your business.
- 34:01Speaker 4: Poor Tommy.
- 34:02Speaker 1: Tommy and I both wear superhero costumes while we fight crime.
- 34:06Speaker 1: How old is Tommy? He's 15, ma'am.
- 34:09Speaker 6: I feel so sorry.
- 34:10Speaker 1: Why do you feel sorry for him protecting his country?
- 34:12Speaker 6: He's not protecting his country.
- 34:14Speaker 3: He's playing games.
- 34:16Speaker 6: With us nuts that need to have his head examined.
- 34:20Speaker 1: Mr.
- 34:20Speaker 2: Wheeler, you say that you analyze the laundry in a
- 34:23Speaker 2: way that's none of our business?
- 34:25Speaker 1: Yes.
- 34:26Speaker 6: Maybe he's al-Qaeda.
- 34:26Speaker 3: You're going to have to tell me how.
- 34:28Speaker 1: All right, we sniff it.
- 34:35Speaker 6: You know, I really have a wonderful husband in the
- 34:38Speaker 6: other rooms. And I am wasting my time with this
- 34:42Speaker 6: man who there is nothing anybody can say to help him,
- 34:48Speaker 6: but he needs some psychiatrist to analyze what's wrong with him.
- 34:53Speaker 1: Is your husband awake?
- 34:54Speaker 6: My husband is sitting in the living room waiting for
- 34:57Speaker 6: my company.
- 34:59Speaker 1: What's he doing?
- 35:00Speaker 6: He's watching television.
- 35:02Speaker 1: Wait a minute. You were listening to the radio and
- 35:05Speaker 1: he was watching TV?
- 35:05Speaker 6: We were listening to the radio. On the way home
- 35:08Speaker 6: in the car, and I said, Has.
- 35:11Speaker 1: Your husband ever wandered off on his own someplace?
- 35:13Speaker 6: Honey, you want to wander off? If he wants to,
- 35:17Speaker 6: he can go ahead and wander. We've been married for
- 35:19Speaker 6: 47 years, and I haven't got a worry about what
- 35:24Speaker 6: he's doing with his time. It's called trust.
- 35:29Speaker 1: Whatever. All right.
- 35:31Speaker 3: Thank you very much, Roseanne.
- 35:32Speaker 1: Okay. Are you going to let her hang up? Yes,
- 35:34Speaker 1: I am.
- 35:38Speaker 2: Okay, well, good job there. By the way, the voice
