- 1:10Speaker 3: with coolest panels in the world.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Yeah, yhow beautiful. Hello, it's the moodsetter. Hey are beautiful.
- 1:17Speaker 3: All right. So we talked a little bit about some
- 1:19Speaker 3: of the landing spots for the LSU Tigers in the
- 1:22Speaker 3: draft there when you mentioned aj Halse you think that's
- 1:24Speaker 3: a good spot for him. It's a good value pick,
- 1:26Speaker 3: certainly in the third round.
- 1:29Speaker 2: I don't know if it's a good spot for him,
- 1:30Speaker 2: but it's good for that too. I think it's a
- 1:32Speaker 2: good spot for him.
- 1:33Speaker 3: He is like a version of Cam Chancellor to me,
- 1:38Speaker 3: like with his size, and maybe in today's NFL maybe
- 1:40Speaker 3: that's not as valued as much because everybody wants to
- 1:42Speaker 3: get faster and smaller, but he's got a real opportunity.
- 1:47Speaker 3: And you played against Cam every day in practice, and
- 1:49Speaker 3: we played against men in college, Like you know Cam
- 1:51Speaker 3: Chancellor very well. Like Cam Chancellor could have played either
- 1:56Speaker 3: safety position, he could have played will backer, he could
- 1:59Speaker 3: like so many different things that that guy could do
- 2:01Speaker 3: for you. And I don't know why the defense is
- 2:04Speaker 3: always a little bit late to catch up with the
- 2:06Speaker 3: changes that the offense is making at every level of football.
- 2:10Speaker 3: But the theme of this draft was tight ends. There
- 2:13Speaker 3: was so many tight ends. A lot of teams reached
- 2:16Speaker 3: for tight ends in this draft, like it was every
- 2:19Speaker 3: other pick felt like a tight end because they're going
- 2:21Speaker 3: to the twelve personnel. The thirteen personnel the Rams made
- 2:23Speaker 3: it in vogue, and so like it's a copycat league.
- 2:26Speaker 3: They're getting more tight ends and defense will struggle with
- 2:30Speaker 3: it this year and then we'll catch up again next year.
- 2:32Speaker 3: It feels like they're always like kind of like a
- 2:34Speaker 3: year behind with whatever the trend in the NFL is.
- 2:37Speaker 4: Yeah it is, And you bring up Camp Chancellor, and
- 2:41Speaker 4: that's kind of why I said, I don't really know
- 2:44Speaker 4: if the Colts is theft is a great.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Fit for him.
- 2:47Speaker 4: I got to think it is they have a lot
- 2:49Speaker 4: of the pieces that you want.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Yeah, and their starting safety is asking for a trade
- 2:53Speaker 2: right now.
- 2:54Speaker 4: Okay, So what made Cam Chancellor so dynamic is you know,
- 2:58Speaker 4: the just the physical presence he brought it to all.
- 3:00Speaker 4: Like he said he could play the linebacker he was.
- 3:03Speaker 4: He hit just really hard, really good football IQ. But
- 3:06Speaker 4: he was able to do a lot of those things
- 3:08Speaker 4: because he had Earl Thomas on the back end that
- 3:10Speaker 4: could literally go sideline to sideline, one of the fastest,
- 3:13Speaker 4: hard nos best safeties in the league at that time.
- 3:18Speaker 4: So that's what I'm kind of saying. I don't know
- 3:19Speaker 4: who the free safety is, but I mean, oh, I
- 3:22Speaker 4: know is aj Halsey? When when I watched him, of course,
- 3:25Speaker 4: watching him on film was good, Like early in the
- 3:27Speaker 4: year watching him on TV, I knew he was a
- 3:28Speaker 4: good player. I didn't really know how impactful of a
- 3:32Speaker 4: player he was until I was sitting in the end
- 3:36Speaker 4: zone of the Texas A and M game.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Of course Texas and was not very good.
- 3:39Speaker 4: Yeah, they got destroyed, and I was watching a defense
- 3:43Speaker 4: that was given about eighty five percent effort and he
- 3:47Speaker 4: was making up for the rest of it.
- 3:48Speaker 2: Ye Game two, he was like that same situation.
- 3:52Speaker 4: He was, we were they were in the red zone
- 3:53Speaker 4: and he went from the far safety across the field
- 3:58Speaker 4: and tackled somebody right at the goal line and stop
- 4:01Speaker 4: the touchdown like he was. It was that play right
- 4:04Speaker 4: there because it was right in front of me, and
- 4:06Speaker 4: I was like, that guy is a dude, and the
- 4:09Speaker 4: effort that he is showing. He hadn't been an LSC
- 4:12Speaker 4: Tiger for long, but he's playing like an LSC Tiger
- 4:15Speaker 4: should play.
- 4:16Speaker 2: And it was.
- 4:19Speaker 4: I don't know how more people didn't feed off of that.
- 4:23Speaker 4: Some did, but a lot of people didn't. And so
- 4:28Speaker 4: I wish him the best the best. I think he's
- 4:30Speaker 4: gonna have a fantastic career. I really do. Stay stay healthy.
- 4:33Speaker 4: The way he plays, you gotta stay healthy a little bit.
- 4:35Speaker 4: But it's just I look forward to seeing what he
- 4:38Speaker 4: can do at the next level because effort, effort travels effort.
- 4:45Speaker 4: That kind of effort you give, that's going to translate
- 4:47Speaker 4: into opportunity.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Coaches are gonna love to see it, and uh, you know.
- 4:52Speaker 4: Put that on top of athleticism and a little bit
- 4:55Speaker 4: of good football IQ and player.
- 4:58Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing how we're out Shane
- 5:01Speaker 3: Stike in third rounds.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Late for him too, I think so too. He's the
- 5:04Speaker 2: second round.
- 5:04Speaker 3: Guy, Yeah, Shane Steike, and I know was really fired
- 5:06Speaker 3: out to be able to get him in the third round.
- 5:08Speaker 3: I think he slots in as they're starting shronk safety
- 5:10Speaker 3: from day number one. Cam Binen comes over from you know,
- 5:14Speaker 3: he's from Minnesota's where he came from. Good player at
- 5:17Speaker 3: the free safety position. They signed a couple of free yeah,
- 5:20Speaker 3: free safeties in free agency as well, so we'll see
- 5:23Speaker 3: where it ends up for a j Halsey, but good player,
- 5:26Speaker 3: good value in the third round. The Saints did go
- 5:31Speaker 3: and obviously talked about it on Friday, We talked about
- 5:33Speaker 3: it yesterday. They go Jordan Tyson number eight overall. Once
- 5:37Speaker 3: Manseor Delaine went at six and the Chiefs traded up
- 5:40Speaker 3: to get him. It felt like it was going to
- 5:42Speaker 3: go either Jordan Tyson or Ruben Bain. That was going
- 5:45Speaker 3: to be the conversation. Now the Saints end up trading
- 5:47Speaker 3: for a veteran player who was a former top ten
- 5:50Speaker 3: pick later on for a fifth round pick, and that's
- 5:53Speaker 3: how they're going to address their edge rusher need. And
- 5:57Speaker 3: they also signed another veteran edge rusher after the AFT,
- 6:00Speaker 3: so they go with the receiver. Now, Cardinal Tate went
- 6:04Speaker 3: four overall, and we've talked about that. We don't need
- 6:08Speaker 3: to revisit that.
- 6:10Speaker 2: But if it was going to be a receiver, I
- 6:12Speaker 2: was a dump pick.
- 6:13Speaker 3: I didn't love it. He was like, and I really
- 6:15Speaker 3: do hope he's a good player. He's a good kid.
- 6:17Speaker 2: I think he's going to be good.
- 6:18Speaker 3: I don't know if he's gonna be number four overall good,
- 6:21Speaker 3: Like that's the point.
- 6:21Speaker 2: He was like.
- 6:22Speaker 3: He sat down with us on I guess it was Thursday,
- 6:25Speaker 3: and we asked him, like, you surprised you? He go, yeah,
- 6:29Speaker 3: I didn't have it just because we said Tennessee number
- 6:32Speaker 3: four selecting.
- 6:33Speaker 4: Just because we say it's a dumb pick doesn't mean
- 6:34Speaker 4: like he's should have gone first round. Yeah, he's not
- 6:38Speaker 4: a good player. We're going to be a good player.
- 6:39Speaker 3: But at that time and what Tennessee needs compared to
- 6:43Speaker 3: what they took.
- 6:44Speaker 2: Just don't understand. I don't understand the reach.
- 6:46Speaker 4: Yeah, And honestly, maybe there was like that's who they
- 6:49Speaker 4: wanted to take, and maybe they knew they could have
- 6:52Speaker 4: traded back for him. But they just didn't have any
- 6:55Speaker 4: trade back takers. You know, I don't know how the
- 6:57Speaker 4: whole draft situation. You don't never know what the conversations
- 7:00Speaker 4: arelike with other GMS or other teams, but yeah.
- 7:03Speaker 2: It's it was certainly a reach.
- 7:05Speaker 4: Yeah that'd scratcher, but good for him. Sure'll be a
- 7:10Speaker 4: good player, but he probably won't live out the number four.
- 7:13Speaker 3: Yeah, number four overall for you know, we don't even
- 7:20Speaker 3: spend more time on it so much about Yeah.
- 7:24Speaker 4: It's just anytime it's a reach, it's like, well, you
- 7:26Speaker 4: could have got him at fifteen or twenty or.
- 7:30Speaker 3: What I think you could have got him, Like, I
- 7:32Speaker 3: don't I don't think the Saints just hearing from what
- 7:35Speaker 3: they liked about Tyson and Ruben Bain compared to Carnell Tech, Like,
- 7:39Speaker 3: I don't know where you could have got him, but
- 7:40Speaker 3: at you know, four is high.
- 7:42Speaker 2: That's the way Tennessee goes.
- 7:43Speaker 3: And then the Saints have the option to take the
- 7:46Speaker 3: receiver they liked most in this draft and Jordan Tyson
- 7:49Speaker 3: and Jordan Tyson had a pro day, like right before
- 7:51Speaker 3: the draft. It was by himself because he didn't get
- 7:53Speaker 3: a chance to work out at the combine or his
- 7:55Speaker 3: pro day. So he has a chance to go out there,
- 7:58Speaker 3: show teams that he's healthy, show teams that he's ready
- 8:00Speaker 3: to go, and he has that ability. And so he
- 8:04Speaker 3: passed that test. Everybody came away saying, Okay, he's good
- 8:07Speaker 3: to go. And I think he missed like wave minus
- 8:09Speaker 3: three games. I mean, so it's not like he missed
- 8:12Speaker 3: the entire season, and I would have rather like, if
- 8:18Speaker 3: I'm looking at the Saint's draft, I say, yesterday, I
- 8:20Speaker 3: thought defense was going to be the play. But once
- 8:21Speaker 3: Monsour Delaine goes, it's like, Okay, it's either these two players,
- 8:25Speaker 3: and they decided to go offense, and they tried to
- 8:27Speaker 3: get Tyler Shuck a playmaker. They're eleven personnel after the
- 8:30Speaker 3: draft looks much better than it did before the draft.
- 8:33Speaker 3: And so Jordan Tyson is going to have to be
- 8:35Speaker 3: that big play guy that we've seen him be at
- 8:37Speaker 3: Arizona State. You pair him with Chris Olave Devon Veley. Obviously,
- 8:41Speaker 3: you get Lance there in the later rounds from North
- 8:46Speaker 3: Dakota State. I think he plays a factor into this
- 8:48Speaker 3: as well. But I thought the Saints actually did some
- 8:52Speaker 3: really good things. I love Christian Miller and that pick
- 8:54Speaker 3: in the second round. I think he gives you some versatility.
- 8:56Speaker 3: He can play a zero nos, he can play.
- 8:58Speaker 2: A four E.
- 8:59Speaker 3: And it puts Brian Braze and others on notice like that.
- 9:02Speaker 3: They got to raise their level of play too.
- 9:04Speaker 4: Yeah, so look at the Jordan Tyson pick and it
- 9:08Speaker 4: kind of they went offense. They went, let's help Tyler
- 9:13Speaker 4: shuck out. We have a new quarterback. We have what
- 9:16Speaker 4: we hope is our franchise quarterback. And it's it's basically
- 9:20Speaker 4: the opinion that we had right after the season. Right
- 9:22Speaker 4: after the season, we were like, you have a franchise quarterback.
- 9:25Speaker 4: Now you have to no matter what else happens, you
- 9:27Speaker 4: have to build around him.
- 9:29Speaker 2: You have to give him weapons. Now. The more the
- 9:32Speaker 2: months go on, the more you dissect things.
- 9:35Speaker 4: The more you look for different needs and like, look
- 9:38Speaker 4: for different ways they're going to go.
- 9:40Speaker 2: They just went with the Kiss strategy and they kept
- 9:42Speaker 2: it simple. Stupid.
- 9:43Speaker 4: Yep, we got a new quarterback. We've been looking for
- 9:46Speaker 4: a new quarterback. He's shown to be really good. Let's
- 9:50Speaker 4: give him weapons and let's just keep it simple. That's
- 9:53Speaker 4: what you gotta score points to win in this league.
- 9:56Speaker 4: Got it, Well, we're gonna build our defense in a
- 9:58Speaker 4: different way than we thought.
- 10:00Speaker 2: We're not going to go and make that pick.
- 10:01Speaker 4: Maybe if there was somebody else available at eight, maybe
- 10:04Speaker 4: they changed their mind, but they just kept it simple.
- 10:06Speaker 4: It was it was the opinion we all shared, like
- 10:09Speaker 4: right of the season, you got to build around Tyler
- 10:10Speaker 4: Shuck and that's what they're doing. A really good route runner,
- 10:14Speaker 4: a dynamic playmaker has it has the history of injuries.
- 10:18Speaker 4: But you know what, I also saw a kid that
- 10:20Speaker 4: when he got drafted, Yeah, he cared, he did, he
- 10:23Speaker 4: cared a lot.
- 10:24Speaker 2: That was very cool. It was awesome. Yeah, And I.
- 10:26Speaker 4: Don't know if he became a meme or whatever for
- 10:28Speaker 4: like what like in a in a bad way, but.
- 10:31Speaker 2: He shouldn't have because it was awesome, like the pure emotion.
- 10:33Speaker 4: And and that is probably one of the reasons they
- 10:37Speaker 4: probably knew that about the kid. And they knew that,
- 10:39Speaker 4: like he was not cocky, Like he knew that that
- 10:42Speaker 4: is how he would feel about getting drafted, especially high,
- 10:46Speaker 4: and that all goes into the evaluation. And when I
- 10:49Speaker 4: saw what I saw him walking down that hallway getting
- 10:52Speaker 4: and going to get his hat and the tears, I
- 10:54Speaker 4: was like, that is awesome. Yea, that kid is going
- 10:56Speaker 4: to give you everything he's got, and so that's probably
- 10:59Speaker 4: one of the reasons why you him at eight, along
- 11:01Speaker 4: with the ability, and you kind of overlook some of
- 11:04Speaker 4: the injuries. And I know, I know it's a lot,
- 11:06Speaker 4: and I know the hit the history there. It's football, Yep.
- 11:11Speaker 3: It's the soft tissue stuff that makes you a little nervous.
- 11:13Speaker 3: But you know, it's not like an a c L
- 11:17Speaker 3: or a lab room or something. It's you know, it's
- 11:19Speaker 3: the hamstring stuff. And so they got to come up
- 11:20Speaker 3: with a plan. They got to come up with the
- 11:22Speaker 3: right formula to keep him on the field.
- 11:25Speaker 2: That's going to be the thing to watch in Jordan
- 11:27Speaker 2: Tyson's career.
- 11:27Speaker 4: You know, if Arizona State, if their practice facility was
- 11:30Speaker 4: near a power plant, anybody.
- 11:33Speaker 2: That's not that's where we're But I'll look at the
- 11:36Speaker 2: map right, maybe live in his apartment. No, that's where
- 11:40Speaker 2: I worked out for the combine.
- 11:41Speaker 3: It's no power at his apartment at the Arizona State facility.
- 11:45Speaker 2: I don't where he lived. I don't know where he lived. No,
- 11:47Speaker 2: you're right, I've been.
- 11:48Speaker 3: I've been to Scotts Stale in Tempe A bunch of
- 11:50Speaker 3: my life, though I don't remember seeing one, but you.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Know, maybe they built one. Maybe they maybe they did.
- 11:54Speaker 3: You get Oscar delt in the third round, tied end
- 11:57Speaker 3: at a Joujia.
- 11:58Speaker 2: So you go Georgia back to back picks.
- 11:59Speaker 3: You Christian Miller in second, you go Oscar Delp and
- 12:02Speaker 3: the third and you you know you signed to a fan.
- 12:06Speaker 3: Now there's no FoST tomorrow. He's now a Houston Texan.
- 12:09Speaker 3: We don't think Taysom Hill's obviously coming back. So you know,
- 12:14Speaker 3: you've got a tight end room that has three guys
- 12:16Speaker 3: that are gonna expect to play. Okay, Juan Johnson's obviously
- 12:20Speaker 3: gonna be your you know one you would assume.
- 12:24Speaker 2: But know what, he's a third round he's the third
- 12:27Speaker 2: round pick. Yeah, Oscar Delp.
- 12:29Speaker 3: Oscar gives you a little bit of flexibility. I think
- 12:32Speaker 3: he can do a lot of different things. I think
- 12:33Speaker 3: he can do with the hand in the dirt stuff.
- 12:35Speaker 3: I think he could be the move tight end as well.
- 12:37Speaker 2: Where to tight end from Houston?
- 12:39Speaker 3: Guh he went to Jacksonville in the fifth round.
- 12:43Speaker 2: The second tight end they took in that draft.
- 12:47Speaker 4: I know I saw I was reading the Saints pics
- 12:51Speaker 4: and I saw him picked at the third and just
- 12:55Speaker 4: reading the name, I didn't love it for what reason?
- 13:01Speaker 4: Just a tight end i've never heard of in the
- 13:03Speaker 4: third round. I didn't think you really needed, though. I'd
- 13:06Speaker 4: a rather a receiver i've never heard of.
- 13:12Speaker 3: The you've never heard him part shouldn't actually factor into this,
- 13:14Speaker 3: as we all know.
- 13:16Speaker 2: I mean, you can get mad at the position.
- 13:18Speaker 3: Maybe I actually think you kind of did need a
- 13:22Speaker 3: tight end because like Juwan Johnson's a receiver playing tight end.
- 13:28Speaker 2: How many complaints that we have from him last season?
- 13:30Speaker 5: Yeah, two and a half miles away from Arizona.
- 13:33Speaker 2: State, no stop it.
- 13:37Speaker 5: Oco te Low power Plant, no miles away.
- 13:42Speaker 2: You got Sam Levitt and.
- 13:44Speaker 5: Got Sam Levitt.
- 13:47Speaker 3: I guess also, oh yeah, okay, kind of I apologize.
- 13:52Speaker 5: All right, it's literally like University Drive.
- 13:55Speaker 2: It's wow, are you serious?
- 13:57Speaker 3: When they're eighteen years ago when I was, I'm dead at.
- 14:02Speaker 2: Look at you?
- 14:03Speaker 4: I mean, I mean I had a feeling. I had
- 14:05Speaker 4: a gut feeling, and I think that probably went into
- 14:08Speaker 4: Mickey's evaluation. They knew, they knew about that, those electromagnetic
- 14:13Speaker 4: fields around Arizona State Stadium.
- 14:17Speaker 5: I'm just saying, so he's good.
- 14:20Speaker 2: Now he'll be good now, God, nothing like that barely.
- 14:25Speaker 5: There's no plant.
- 14:27Speaker 2: New Orleans is like, hey, we got water, We're good.
- 14:31Speaker 5: At all.
- 14:33Speaker 4: That's gonna be good. So no more soft issue for him.
- 14:36Speaker 4: He got away from the power lines. Hey, that's good,
- 14:42Speaker 4: good reporting right there.
- 14:44Speaker 5: You asked the question, is.
- 14:45Speaker 2: Anybody else talking about this?
- 14:47Speaker 5: I don't think so. But I think that like awareness
- 14:50Speaker 5: needs to be raised to the fact that there is
- 14:52Speaker 5: a power plant two and a half miles away from
- 14:55Speaker 5: a SU's campus.
- 15:00Speaker 2: God, same, love it too, man, h gotta get him
- 15:04Speaker 2: away from there. Thank goodness.
- 15:06Speaker 6: Now we know why he entered the portal. He said
- 15:09Speaker 6: he loved Dilly Nam he started getting hurt.
- 15:11Speaker 2: I don't know he should maybe should have got over
- 15:12Speaker 2: that Texas Tech quarterback. Oh we're gonna talk about that,
- 15:15Speaker 2: but he couldn't get out of his own way going
- 15:18Speaker 2: to talk about that. In fact, like about that pretty
- 15:21Speaker 2: soon here. That is a story and a half.
- 15:25Speaker 5: Maybe this is just me like hear me out.
- 15:29Speaker 2: No, no, okay, this is kind of true.
- 15:34Speaker 5: Hear me out, but it's gonna sound worse than what
- 15:36Speaker 5: I'm saying before. I explained. Obviously, every form of addiction
- 15:41Speaker 5: is like really sad, right, drug addiction destroys your life.
- 15:45Speaker 5: Alcohol like it's it's so sad, like any addiction is.
- 15:49Speaker 5: For some reason, a gambling addiction makes me feel like
- 15:55Speaker 5: worse than the other two. I don't know why, Like
- 15:57Speaker 5: it just makes me like feel really bad.
- 16:00Speaker 2: And it makes you feel worse, like bad for the
- 16:02Speaker 2: person more.
- 16:03Speaker 5: It just makes me feel like I don't know how
- 16:05Speaker 5: to put into words when I'm trying to say, but
- 16:08Speaker 5: this man spent five million dollars on betting.
- 16:12Speaker 2: Okay, so I didn't read I saw the headlines.
- 16:14Speaker 5: He spent five million dollars. He was putting bets live
- 16:18Speaker 5: bets while at Cincinnati Reds games, like a dollar pity
- 16:22Speaker 5: every pitch. He would put like a dollar on a pitch,
- 16:25Speaker 5: every single pitch. And that just makes me feel so.
- 16:28Speaker 3: Oh man, that's like out bad exactly.
- 16:31Speaker 6: Because there's a lot of people being like, he's only
- 16:33Speaker 6: betting like one or two dollars.
- 16:34Speaker 2: Yeah, but how manytimes he did it right?
- 16:36Speaker 5: Yeah, that adds all every pitch.
- 16:39Speaker 3: I mean, look, who hasn't enjoyed some good Chinese League
- 16:42Speaker 3: soccer at two in the morning when you're chasing a
- 16:44Speaker 3: little bit, I get mad, right, every.
- 16:46Speaker 5: Pitch like uncut gems made me feel so icky.
- 16:51Speaker 6: I'm genuinely asked this question. Yeah, so if it's a
- 16:55Speaker 6: stupid question, my apologize.
- 16:57Speaker 5: Million dollars five million dollars.
- 17:00Speaker 6: Said he stepped away from the football program to seek treatment,
- 17:05Speaker 6: and like rehab, how do you go to rehab for
- 17:07Speaker 6: a gambling.
- 17:08Speaker 2: Or they have I mean they have gambler.
- 17:11Speaker 6: Yeah, they're just taking away from you so you can't
- 17:13Speaker 6: place bets.
- 17:14Speaker 3: I mean, just like any rehab, they have a process,
- 17:17Speaker 3: ten steps.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Yeah, I guess.
- 17:19Speaker 3: And just when I read that, I was like, I
- 17:20Speaker 3: don't know, I've never known anybody to go to rehab
- 17:22Speaker 3: board game.
- 17:22Speaker 2: I know it's available, but I didn't know that making the.
- 17:27Speaker 5: Choice, Yeah, it just feels like gambling to me. You're
- 17:30Speaker 5: making more of a choice to do that, and it
- 17:32Speaker 5: feels like compulsive and then like you get addicted to drugs.
- 17:38Speaker 5: That's like a chemical thing, you know.
- 17:40Speaker 2: So five million dollars, how does they have five five
- 17:42Speaker 2: million dollars? Oh in il.
- 17:44Speaker 4: Yeah, but so he's made over ten million in an ile.
- 17:49Speaker 4: She's got paid taxes, so he gambled it all the
- 17:51Speaker 4: way before you paid. They aren't contract employees, and they
- 17:54Speaker 4: don't you hope they pay tax all these aren't taking
- 17:56Speaker 4: taxes out of it. That's that's the big Conservative. A
- 17:58Speaker 4: lot of people, they're not getting the education. He's the
- 18:00Speaker 4: financial education, and they're getting paid his and they're getting
- 18:02Speaker 4: paid his contract employees. So they're ten ninety nine employees.
- 18:06Speaker 4: They in charge of following their own taxes at the
- 18:08Speaker 4: end of the year. It's not getting deducted out of
- 18:10Speaker 4: their paychecks. So a lot of these kids, I mean,
- 18:11Speaker 4: there there's gonna be a lot of class action lawsuits
- 18:14Speaker 4: in a couple of years with these kids and they
- 18:16Speaker 4: hadn't paid taxes, and then they're gonna client. Then they're
- 18:20Speaker 4: gonna say they weren't educated, which they.
- 18:21Speaker 2: Weren't on to do it.
- 18:23Speaker 5: He was like betting when he was with Indiana.
- 18:25Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, like one Indiana. He wasn't playing, but he
- 18:29Speaker 2: was red shirty.
- 18:30Speaker 4: Can you imagine the amount Like at Trouble, he's gonna
- 18:32Speaker 4: like if he made five million dollars. Yeah, and he
- 18:34Speaker 4: gambled all the way before taxes.
- 18:36Speaker 3: All right, let's let's let's do this because we kind
- 18:39Speaker 3: of just jumped into into that one. We'll kind of
- 18:41Speaker 3: lay out exactly who it is. This is like a
- 18:43Speaker 3: laune is gonna crush us. It's betten all over well,
- 18:46Speaker 3: exactly who we're talking about, what it is where he
- 18:48Speaker 3: almost played his college football, and we'll break all that down.
- 18:51Speaker 3: We'll push back OTB mail back to eight thirty, So
- 18:55Speaker 3: go ahead and started get those questions in. We'll get
- 18:57Speaker 3: to some of those, but we'll we'll reset this story
- 19:02Speaker 3: Texas Tech's quarterback sores be and the money he's gambled
- 19:06Speaker 3: and what that means, and like what the NCAA is
- 19:09Speaker 3: going to do all of that when we come back
- 19:11Speaker 3: here on OTV.
- 19:12Speaker 2: Off the bench, all right, if your.

- 20:23Speaker 1: Off the Bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn Tuesday
- 20:26Speaker 1: Show presented by Community Steel.
- 20:33Speaker 3: Is a man.
- 20:37Speaker 7: Up like a video man.
- 20:51Speaker 3: All right, Welcome back again O TV here live from
- 20:52Speaker 3: the Raising Kanes Studio. All right, so we were talking
- 20:57Speaker 3: about sores V, the Texas tech quarterback who you know,
- 21:00Speaker 3: Elsie was probably very interested in. He was one of
- 21:03Speaker 3: the top quarterbacks on the transfer portal market and got
- 21:06Speaker 3: into some trouble. So we started to kind of talk
- 21:09Speaker 3: about it before we really set the scene for it.
- 21:11Speaker 3: So nobody does this better than a Landra. So I'm
- 21:13Speaker 3: gonna throw it to a Landra to kind of give
- 21:15Speaker 3: us everything that's going on right now with Brennan Sorz.
- 21:18Speaker 5: Yeah, so just real quick, I can't find where I
- 21:20Speaker 5: saw the amount of money that he blew, so I
- 21:22Speaker 5: might have gotten that wrong. But the way if it's
- 21:24Speaker 5: enough to go to rehab, right either way, I did
- 21:27Speaker 5: find where they said he made thousands of bets, like
- 21:30Speaker 5: thousands of them, and like we mentioned before, the craziest
- 21:34Speaker 5: one to me is going to Cincinnati Red's games and
- 21:37Speaker 5: placing live bets on every single pitch anywhere from two
- 21:41Speaker 5: dollars and fifty cents to a dollar on each bet,
- 21:44Speaker 5: which isn't a lot of money, but it all adds up,
- 21:46Speaker 5: you know. But he is entering rehab. Joey McGuire came
- 21:52Speaker 5: out with a statement saying that he fully supports him.
- 21:55Speaker 5: I don't really, Taylor had a good question. I don't
- 21:57Speaker 5: really know what they do to help people that have gambling.
- 22:00Speaker 5: I don't really know what they do in rehab. I guess,
- 22:02Speaker 5: like you said, like, yeah, but the n C double
- 22:05Speaker 5: a is now investigating obviously, And like we mentioned, he
- 22:11Speaker 5: just signed an IL deal with Texas Tech that is
- 22:15Speaker 5: a huge an IL deal. Maybe this is where I
- 22:18Speaker 5: got the five million from a five million an IL deal.
- 22:21Speaker 2: I don't know what the number he spent on gambling,
- 22:23Speaker 2: but if you're doing every.
- 22:24Speaker 5: Thousands of you're sick.
- 22:28Speaker 6: Like one one picture, let's say one Let's say each
- 22:30Speaker 6: picture throws two hundred, one hundred pitches apiece you spent.
- 22:34Speaker 6: If you spent two dollars, that's four hundred dollars a game. Yeah,
- 22:36Speaker 6: I mean those games you go into like that, that
- 22:38Speaker 6: adds up.
- 22:39Speaker 5: And like we mentioned before, some of the bets were
- 22:41Speaker 5: while he was on Indiana's football team, when he was
- 22:44Speaker 5: red shirting and did not bet on games that he
- 22:51Speaker 5: played in.
- 22:52Speaker 2: But he did not bet not He did not that
- 22:55Speaker 2: he played in Indiana.
- 22:58Speaker 3: He was on Indiana and I started Indiana.
- 23:01Speaker 5: Member Bett shirted at Indiana and was placing bets while
- 23:05Speaker 5: he was red shirting, And he was placing bets while
- 23:08Speaker 5: he was in Cincinnati.
- 23:10Speaker 4: Here's a here's a little Here's a paragraph from Yahoo
- 23:13Speaker 4: Sports says players can lose their eligibility permanently for wagering
- 23:17Speaker 4: on events at their own school and lose their eligibility
- 23:20Speaker 4: for a portion of this season for wagers on professional
- 23:24Speaker 4: sports if the total amount is even, if the total
- 23:26Speaker 4: mount is less than eight hundred dollars. So there is
- 23:28Speaker 4: a precedent for the college football player betting on a
- 23:31Speaker 4: college football game at another school leads to a half season.
- 23:34Speaker 2: Bands did this.
- 23:36Speaker 6: So he talked about Hi when the Saints picked him up,
- 23:38Speaker 6: he had a good Division two because he couldn't play
- 23:40Speaker 6: it out of state.
- 23:40Speaker 3: So what how many examples laund there's like probably like so,
- 23:44Speaker 3: I mean, so there's one hundred Deckers, like an Iowa, Iowa.
- 23:48Speaker 5: Iowa state state.
- 23:50Speaker 7: Yeah, he was.
- 23:52Speaker 5: This was back in twenty twenty three. It involved dozens
- 23:55Speaker 5: of athletes from Iowa and Iowa State. So Deckers placed
- 23:59Speaker 5: three hundred and sixty six online sports bets using DraftKings
- 24:03Speaker 5: and if the account is registered to his mom, he raged,
- 24:07Speaker 5: He raged almost twenty eight hundred dollars, right, almost twenty
- 24:10Speaker 5: eight hundred dollars, so bet on twenty six Iowa state
- 24:13Speaker 5: sporting events and one Iowa state football game. So the
- 24:18Speaker 5: last part, yeah, that's what gets you cut from any
- 24:21Speaker 5: sort of eligibility. So there is a precedent set for it.
- 24:23Speaker 5: And I don't think that Brendan Sowersby is going to
- 24:25Speaker 5: be able to come back from this. He's going to
- 24:27Speaker 5: have to go like D two, D three or something.
- 24:30Speaker 2: He's going to go to something that's not sanctioned by
- 24:33Speaker 2: the NCAA.
- 24:34Speaker 5: Yeah he might, that's true, Like yeah, like a JUCO.
- 24:39Speaker 2: Well, at his point is Grace who old to go Juco?
- 24:42Speaker 5: True, it's over for Brennan Sowersby.
- 24:46Speaker 2: And they just had the draft too.
- 24:47Speaker 3: Can't do that, can't do that now he can't. He
- 24:50Speaker 3: could declare and you could select him and it would
- 24:56Speaker 3: be like you'd give up that that round draft choice
- 25:00Speaker 3: next season, right, and he just went he just couldn't
- 25:02Speaker 3: play to a supplemental draft and yeah, you can.
- 25:06Speaker 2: And things kind of get worse for him too.
- 25:07Speaker 4: There's also a new lawsuit from the University of Cincinnati
- 25:10Speaker 4: seeking one million dollars in damages for from him directly.
- 25:16Speaker 2: For leaving after.
- 25:18Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying.
- 25:19Speaker 2: But now they're like, but he didn't have a million
- 25:22Speaker 2: he lost.
- 25:22Speaker 6: Speaking of Cincinnati, y'all, who put this out literally six
- 25:27Speaker 6: hours ago. They believe Cincinnati was alerted about this before
- 25:31Speaker 6: the season and still let him play. So now there's
- 25:33Speaker 6: an investigation into Cincinnati in trouble, they can face in
- 25:36Speaker 6: CIAA sanctions because he should have been ineligible if they
- 25:39Speaker 6: knew about it. They have an app that all Big
- 25:43Speaker 6: twelve players have to download. You'll love the name of
- 25:45Speaker 6: this prohibit awesome and it it monitors if an athlete
- 25:50Speaker 6: tries to use like a sports betting app on their phone.
- 25:54Speaker 6: This app downloaded like alerts it and they're they're trying
- 25:58Speaker 6: to see whether or not Brendan sores. We got flagged
- 26:00Speaker 6: for the twenty five season and the uh the a
- 26:03Speaker 6: d zach Stipe said, we don't have any comment at
- 26:05Speaker 6: this time, which never a good thing.
- 26:08Speaker 5: No, if you don't have a comment, yeah you, but
- 26:10Speaker 5: what about his mom?
- 26:14Speaker 2: You imagine Hunter Decker's get in trouble? Do you place
- 26:16Speaker 2: this bet? I know that clearly.
- 26:17Speaker 3: So yeah, dodged a bullet?
- 26:21Speaker 5: No dodge the bullet?
- 26:24Speaker 2: Wow?
- 26:24Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 26:24Speaker 2: Can you imagine if.
- 26:26Speaker 5: If we ended up with Brendan a sudden like and God,
- 26:29Speaker 5: he's money hungry.
- 26:30Speaker 2: Not only is not only is fully healthy? I probably
- 26:35Speaker 2: would have still taken Sam Levitt. But no, no, no,
- 26:37Speaker 2: I mean Dodge too.
- 26:39Speaker 3: But likes because we know, like because we didn't know
- 26:43Speaker 3: how it's gonna end up.
- 26:45Speaker 2: You never know. That's man. I mean, I seriously hope
- 26:48Speaker 2: he gets the help he needs. I mean that's.
- 26:52Speaker 5: That's something like it's just like a compulsive behavior at
- 26:54Speaker 5: that point where you're like, oh, I gotta I gotta get.
- 26:57Speaker 3: Depend on your own. Like I don't even bet anything LSU,
- 27:01Speaker 3: and I like I do, I just don't or nothing,
- 27:03Speaker 3: like even when I wasn't calling games like everything to lose,
- 27:07Speaker 3: like I would not bet on LSU. I just feel
- 27:09Speaker 3: like it's too slippery of a slope, like even before
- 27:12Speaker 3: I started calling close to it. Yeah, it's like I
- 27:14Speaker 3: talk about it every day I go over that. I'm like,
- 27:17Speaker 3: I'm just not going to do that. I'm not going
- 27:18Speaker 3: to bet anything l s U. Right, So like if
- 27:22Speaker 3: I think that, like, how do you think you can
- 27:24Speaker 3: do it while you're playing?
- 27:26Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying.
- 27:27Speaker 3: I don't think I've never heard y'all talk about betting
- 27:29Speaker 3: anything LSU because y'all work the games and y'all like.
- 27:33Speaker 7: That.
- 27:33Speaker 6: I've seen that are okay with this really bothers me.
- 27:36Speaker 6: Like also, so many people on Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, wherever, saying, oh, well, guys,
- 27:41Speaker 6: there's only a dollar here, dollar there. Let let it
- 27:43Speaker 6: be a college kid. Okay, you have so many privileges
- 27:47Speaker 6: this day and age, and n I l for being
- 27:48Speaker 6: a college athlete. They ask you to not do one
- 27:50Speaker 6: thing and you can't do it, Like, first off, it's
- 27:53Speaker 6: against the rules, don't do it. Secondly, let's not act
- 27:56Speaker 6: like they don't get to do anything. You get all
- 27:57Speaker 6: this in iol money and you could say, what's the
- 28:00Speaker 6: big deal. Well, if you're making five million dollars in
- 28:02Speaker 6: nil and you're betting one and two dollars on things, like,
- 28:05Speaker 6: you have a real problem. Like everybody that's okay with
- 28:07Speaker 6: this is like that's wild to me.
- 28:11Speaker 3: I don't mind. Yeah, I mean it's too much. Like
- 28:14Speaker 3: I don't mind somebody betting if go roll some dice,
- 28:17Speaker 3: if yeah, go to the casino, because gonna say that, like.
- 28:21Speaker 2: Right, what does it? Why do you have to bet
- 28:23Speaker 2: on sports? And I get what, probably like you don't
- 28:24Speaker 2: do it.
- 28:24Speaker 4: If you actually have an addiction addictive personality, you have
- 28:28Speaker 4: a problem. Obviously get the help, right, And maybe he does,
- 28:32Speaker 4: maybe he doesn't, but he just seems he really likes gambling.
- 28:36Speaker 4: Maybe he's doing this because he knew he's getting in tried.
- 28:38Speaker 3: Yeah, Like you can bet on sports books if you
- 28:41Speaker 3: want to, like you know that that's too much he
- 28:43Speaker 3: was doing. But if you want to, like bet the
- 28:44Speaker 3: Lakers game, like I have no problem with that, But
- 28:46Speaker 3: I just got the casino if you like, if it's
- 28:48Speaker 3: that bad, I want to do it, you can do that.
- 28:50Speaker 3: It's like, I mean, look, you go, you can go
- 28:52Speaker 3: to any casino here and you're probably fine. A college
- 28:55Speaker 3: athlete in the casino. Yeah, they're twenty one because it's legal.
- 28:57Speaker 2: You can don't bet on your phone, don't call Burt
- 29:00Speaker 2: enough to bet for you. Like that's that's it. Two things.
- 29:04Speaker 5: I just do you think that, Like it is kind
- 29:07Speaker 5: of indicative of sports the past, I don't know what,
- 29:11Speaker 5: four or five years or something, where like him Hunter
- 29:15Speaker 5: Decker's Kaisham Booty brab o'hannan and Alabama, Like there's so
- 29:21Speaker 5: many different examples of this hat Like it just keeps
- 29:24Speaker 5: hav That's why, like your bold prediction that didn't happen,
- 29:27Speaker 5: of like a coach getting caught gambling was so surprising
- 29:30Speaker 5: to me that it didn't happen because it's been happening
- 29:33Speaker 5: and it's just I don't know, it's crazy, it's.
- 29:35Speaker 4: Sad, it's going to keep happening. It's just the prevalence
- 29:38Speaker 4: of gambling, the ease of gambling. It's there's too much
- 29:41Speaker 4: money involved, right, and there's too many there's too many
- 29:44Speaker 4: people involved in sports, whether it's players, backups, coaches, like what,
- 29:49Speaker 4: there's too many players for things not to happen.
- 29:52Speaker 2: It's human.
- 29:52Speaker 4: We all make everybody makes mistakes, and some people are
- 29:55Speaker 4: going to make the gambling mistake because it's so prevalent
- 29:57Speaker 4: and it's so easy to do if somebody's offered a
- 30:00Speaker 4: certain amount.
- 30:00Speaker 5: Of money to get on your phone, and yeah.
- 30:03Speaker 4: Yeah, and it's and it's sad, and I hope that
- 30:06Speaker 4: like if if anybody's out there with the problem, I
- 30:08Speaker 4: hope they do get the help. But yeah, Uls, you
- 30:11Speaker 4: certainly dodged a bullet, a big bullet with that one.
- 30:16Speaker 5: So now we'd be out five million dollars in a quarterback.
- 30:20Speaker 4: And by the way, yes, sir, you're you have a
- 30:22Speaker 4: good thing going not betting on l s U. Because
- 30:25Speaker 4: I've dabbled.
- 30:28Speaker 2: I bet with my heart too much.
- 30:32Speaker 3: I've dabbled. Seabody used to dabble too, and he'd be broken.
- 30:35Speaker 5: I love sports betting as much as the next person,
- 30:38Speaker 5: especially when I hit, but I don't think I'm over
- 30:41Speaker 5: here itching. I rarely do it because even losing ten dollars,
- 30:44Speaker 5: I'm like, man, what a waste?
- 30:47Speaker 2: Like I just don't. I haven't done a message stuff
- 30:49Speaker 2: I got in the car game. Now, Yeah, maybe there's.
- 30:51Speaker 5: A problem there gambling.
- 30:53Speaker 3: We should get something in return every pitch.
- 30:55Speaker 2: Things wild though, Like that's like that she brought up early.
- 30:57Speaker 5: That's just who'se I hear bet on class.
- 31:02Speaker 2: Trinidad's over there, like should have win pro brendan amateur. Yeah,
- 31:06Speaker 2: nobody wants to go to the NFL less than Trinidad.
- 31:09Speaker 2: Champa injection.
- 31:10Speaker 3: All right, we'll take a break. We'll have a little
- 31:13Speaker 3: mail bag when we come back here. It is OTB
- 31:16Speaker 3: Live from the Raisin Kines Studio. After Bank, all right,
- 31:21Speaker 3: First American Banking Trust. They've been in the game over
- 31:24Speaker 3: a hundred years, and you don't stay in business over
- 31:27Speaker 3: a hundred years unless you're doing everything the right way,
- 31:30Speaker 3: taking care of your customers. We say it all the time.
- 31:33Speaker 3: With First American Banking Trust, you are so much more
- 31:36Speaker 3: than just an account number. They know your face, they
- 31:38Speaker 3: know your name. It is personal service.
- 31:41Speaker 7: Right.

- 33:57Speaker 2: Is marked most urgent writing to you the Internet. What
- 34:01Speaker 2: the is the internet hashtag O TB mailbag?
- 34:13Speaker 3: Did you know the Saints Practice facility is only two
- 34:15Speaker 3: point three miles from Snake Farm Power Station. Their old
- 34:19Speaker 3: facility was literally next door to it on Saint's Drive
- 34:23Speaker 3: until nineteen ninety six when they moved.
- 34:26Speaker 2: No, you should know you played for them, Snake Farm,
- 34:32Speaker 2: said Snake Farm Power it's what I says, snake Farm
- 34:37Speaker 2: power station. What a name. I don't believe snake Farm that.
- 34:42Speaker 2: I don't.
- 34:42Speaker 4: I don't think they're gonna make it a power to
- 34:45Speaker 4: affect the soft issue.
- 34:47Speaker 5: I think the people in Louisiana are used to it.
- 34:50Speaker 3: Yeah, so it's like.
- 34:52Speaker 2: Hashtag just different.
- 34:54Speaker 5: Yeah, we're just different here.
- 34:59Speaker 2: Let's see. I didn't know that though.
- 35:01Speaker 3: That's scary hashtag OTB Mailbag disappointed that the Rouses on
- 35:05Speaker 3: Burbank and Lee was out of my High zero yesterday. Well,
- 35:08Speaker 3: when you got a product as hot as my high zero,
- 35:10Speaker 3: it's hard to keep it on the shelf.
- 35:11Speaker 2: That's a great point. Yeah, they have been running out
- 35:15Speaker 2: of my high kind of frequently. But Rosse is about
- 35:18Speaker 2: to be stocked up.
- 35:19Speaker 4: Were running a special in the month of May as
- 35:20Speaker 4: well over at the over at Rouses a little discount
- 35:23Speaker 4: at Rolsi's, so make sure you get over there good
- 35:26Speaker 4: at this in May.
- 35:26Speaker 2: I don't think it's up yet.
- 35:28Speaker 4: When May starts, I'm I thinking it might be going
- 35:30Speaker 4: like fifteen or twenty percent off too for the month
- 35:32Speaker 4: of May.
- 35:33Speaker 2: Is that for my birthday? It is for your birthday thought?
- 35:36Speaker 2: Or maybe just because you know they helping people out,
- 35:38Speaker 2: so it's getting hot. It's for my birthday. Very nice
- 35:42Speaker 2: of you, given though you won't give me anything. Forty
- 35:45Speaker 2: one is a big one. It is you don't care?
- 35:48Speaker 2: Does anyone care anymore? After forty? Just the whole numbers.
- 35:52Speaker 3: I feel like fifty is kind of the last, like
- 35:54Speaker 3: milestone birthday. Yeah, because I don't feel like people do
- 35:59Speaker 3: a ton of Maybe sixty is.
- 36:01Speaker 2: I don't know every whole number. I guess maybe. So
- 36:06Speaker 2: it's all downhill, isn't Jake, Oh buddy, it's been rolling
- 36:10Speaker 2: downhill for a while. I don't think so. I Actually
- 36:12Speaker 2: I told Laci this the other day. I think I
- 36:13Speaker 2: just starting to hit my prime, do you I do?
- 36:16Speaker 3: Okay, A lot of people say that that's honesty. I
- 36:19Speaker 3: mean that this is not me being prime, This is
- 36:21Speaker 3: not me being funny. I think I really do think
- 36:23Speaker 3: like you're going to reduce me. It's probably helped that. Yeah,
- 36:26Speaker 3: and that's not just cell reduced me. I really that's
- 36:30Speaker 3: probably a good point. Yeah. You get a little endorphins
- 36:33Speaker 3: from that, you know, runners high that are workout high
- 36:36Speaker 3: or whatever it is. Yeah, yep, dude, when you get
- 36:38Speaker 3: into that sweet spot of working out and run it's
- 36:41Speaker 3: hard to get.
- 36:42Speaker 4: Out of and just like you know, having a positive attitude, No,
- 36:46Speaker 4: that's being happy, thanks for getting your prime.
- 36:48Speaker 2: That's definitely not you. Well, I'm happy.
- 36:56Speaker 3: This is funny. Actually, go to me mailback. Scone has
- 36:59Speaker 3: more sources than anyone, so he's usually right with a
- 37:02Speaker 3: lot of things. I will say Matt has a ton
- 37:04Speaker 3: of sources, so you're not wrong there. But I'll also
- 37:08Speaker 3: say this, me and the guy next to me have
- 37:12Speaker 3: pretty good sources. The thing is like, that's not our
- 37:15Speaker 3: that's not our thing. That's that's not our show. And
- 37:18Speaker 3: Matt does a great job of being what he does.
- 37:20Speaker 3: He really does.
- 37:22Speaker 5: Everything. Everybody has a different vibe.
- 37:26Speaker 2: Yeah, no, and again that's like that's what he does,
- 37:28Speaker 2: and he does it really really well.
- 37:30Speaker 3: It's just not what we do. I'm never going to
- 37:32Speaker 3: I'm just not going to break l s G stuff
- 37:34Speaker 3: like that, just I'm too close to it and.
- 37:38Speaker 2: It's not the vibe.
- 37:40Speaker 3: So I'm glad that Matt has those sources too where
- 37:42Speaker 3: he can do it for us and do it for
- 37:43Speaker 3: losing on Sports without Net.
- 37:45Speaker 4: We also feel like, you know, it's former players, it's
- 37:48Speaker 4: a pretty good sources, but it's not our spot.
- 37:50Speaker 2: It's like, yeah, we're always going to just.
- 37:54Speaker 5: Uber TV was never the like super journalistic.
- 37:58Speaker 3: No, like we're going to give you something.
- 38:00Speaker 5: We're going to give you some vibes. Then we're going
- 38:02Speaker 5: to have fun.
- 38:02Speaker 2: We're good vibes, is it?
- 38:03Speaker 3: You're here for the vibes and like when I know
- 38:06Speaker 3: something and it breaks three weeks later, we're going to
- 38:09Speaker 3: react to it again. That's what makes I think this
- 38:12Speaker 3: station great is that none of the shows are the same.
- 38:15Speaker 2: Yep.
- 38:15Speaker 3: If you had the same show four different times, it
- 38:17Speaker 3: wouldn't be worth listening.
- 38:20Speaker 4: No, it would be awful. It'd be like turn on
- 38:23Speaker 4: like regular ESPN and watching it all day.
- 38:26Speaker 2: No doubt and seeing like the same thing go over,
- 38:31Speaker 2: which is great for a little bit. But you want
- 38:33Speaker 2: to change it up. You want to change it. Like
- 38:34Speaker 2: Daniel Blount said, this is a morning show.
- 38:37Speaker 3: Is so good.
- 38:37Speaker 4: That's a great way to describe it. You want good
- 38:39Speaker 4: vibes in the morning, Yep. Make make maybe a couple
- 38:43Speaker 4: of laughs. Yeah, I love to laugh. A couple of What.
- 38:47Speaker 3: I want some of those mail bag?
- 38:51Speaker 2: It's National Blueberry Pie Day. What's your favorite fruit pie?
- 38:55Speaker 2: I love a good apple pie, cherry pie.
- 38:58Speaker 5: Favorite pie or favorite fruit. I don't love a fruit.
- 39:01Speaker 4: Pie like a cherry peach, apple blueb My favorite fruit
- 39:06Speaker 4: pie is one that's in the trash because I don't.
- 39:08Speaker 3: I'm I don't like. That's not weird coming from him.
- 39:10Speaker 2: I don't like he doesn't, Okay, So I don't like.
- 39:13Speaker 2: I don't like warm fruit desserts. Warm fruit desserts I
- 39:17Speaker 2: do not like.
- 39:19Speaker 3: I'm not a huge apple pie fan. I'll eat it,
- 39:21Speaker 3: but I love cherry pie.
- 39:22Speaker 4: You know, I wish I did because like people people like,
- 39:25Speaker 4: oh man, look at this apple fritter, at this peach cobbler,
- 39:27Speaker 4: like it's so good, and I'm like, I wish I
- 39:29Speaker 4: liked it, But I don't like warm cooked fruit.
- 39:33Speaker 2: Hey, you know what, But I respect them. I respect.
- 39:37Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm gonna judge you for liking a pie, but
- 39:39Speaker 5: I'm not.
- 39:40Speaker 4: I don't even really like regular pie is. My favorite
- 39:42Speaker 4: pie is just a pizza pae I just like, or
- 39:45Speaker 4: a shepherd's pile.
- 39:47Speaker 5: Who I do like like a warm pecan pie with
- 39:49Speaker 5: vanilla ice cream.
- 39:51Speaker 3: That's good, that's great, fantastic, y'all know me. I will
- 39:54Speaker 3: go sweets over savory all day or day.
- 39:57Speaker 4: And I don't I sweep. I think ours is an
- 40:00Speaker 4: unpopular opinion. It's not an opinion that we only hold
- 40:04Speaker 4: like there's a lot of people.
- 40:05Speaker 3: I was about to say, I don't think it's that unpopular.
- 40:07Speaker 3: I know a lot of people don't like pies like that.
- 40:11Speaker 2: I'm always a cake over a pack. Yeah cake, let's
- 40:14Speaker 2: do this.
- 40:14Speaker 3: Let's do this because we've got some good more questions
- 40:16Speaker 3: coming in. Let's take a break so we have some
- 40:18Speaker 3: time on the back end to do a little bit
- 40:19Speaker 3: more OTB mail bag. We'll continue this when we come
- 40:22Speaker 3: back here on OTV.
- 40:23Speaker 1: Off the bench, all right.
- 40:25Speaker 3: Good to pelicanroof dot com, the website for Pelican Roofing.
- 40:28Speaker 3: It is truly the go to when you need any
- 40:31Speaker 3: roof solution, if you need a repair, if you need
- 40:33Speaker 3: a full replacement, if you need a roof from the
- 40:36Speaker 3: very get go right you have a new build whatever
- 40:38Speaker 3: like it might be. But the thing that kind of
- 40:40Speaker 3: sets them apart, at least for me when I look
- 40:42Speaker 3: at them, it's the quality of work.
- 40:44Speaker 2: It's like their job sites.
- 40:46Speaker 3: I tell you all the time, Like when I'm in
- 40:47Speaker 3: my neighborhood and I see the Pelican Roof flag, I
- 40:50Speaker 3: know it's going to be a very clean job site.
- 40:52Speaker 2: There's not going to be debris everywhere. There's not going
- 40:55Speaker 2: to be just this mess.
- 40:56Speaker 3: It is so professional, and you're like, I don't even
- 40:59Speaker 3: know where they're at in building this roof because it
- 41:01Speaker 3: always looks the same. It always looks tidy, it always
- 41:04Speaker 3: looks like it's supposed to and it always blows me
- 41:07Speaker 3: away when I see one of their job sites, it's
- 41:09Speaker 3: gonna do the same for you. They're in laugh yet,
- 41:11Speaker 3: they're in baton rouge, boots on the ground in both locations,
- 41:14Speaker 3: and they're always doing something in the local community as well.
- 41:17Speaker 3: Mother's Day roof giveaway. Check that out on the community
- 41:19Speaker 3: tab on their website for Pelican Roofing. That website is
- 41:23Speaker 3: pelicanroof dot com, pilicanroof dot com.

- 42:04Speaker 2: Voice Lady she did not have one today.
- 42:06Speaker 5: No, this is this is a Voice Lady automotive one.
- 42:10Speaker 2: I played again.
- 42:11Speaker 3: I think we played one though before the big Voice
- 42:14Speaker 3: Lady did one that was Michelle.
- 42:15Speaker 1: Yes we did, but now we have a big voice
- 42:18Speaker 1: lady off the Bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 42:21Speaker 1: Tuesday Show presented by Community Steeles, where.
- 42:23Speaker 2: Today we played one that was Michelle.
- 42:25Speaker 5: This is the same one.
- 42:26Speaker 2: Does have a little the sound does have a little.
- 42:28Speaker 2: Do you know I have no idea.
- 42:31Speaker 5: I'm just guessing.
- 42:34Speaker 2: Oh, shout out a big voice lady.
- 42:36Speaker 3: Then done a better job, all right.
- 42:38Speaker 5: I wonder email where I was like, can you tell
- 42:40Speaker 5: her to calm down?
- 42:43Speaker 2: Can you also be nicer?
- 42:45Speaker 3: Uh, let's see hat to go to the mail bag.
- 42:47Speaker 3: I don't listen to the show for breaking news. I
- 42:49Speaker 3: listened for two former players talking ball.
- 42:51Speaker 1: There you go.
- 42:55Speaker 3: Yeah, we're talking about me and a Landraaday fucking ball
- 42:58Speaker 3: because she's a former softball player, not this guy next
- 43:00Speaker 3: to me. Hashtag go to b mailbag is zero classic
- 43:04Speaker 3: one of on I think you're trying to say one
- 43:07Speaker 3: of they hid on of the one of the best
- 43:10Speaker 3: events that not enough people go to.
- 43:13Speaker 5: I love this this person stroke out.
- 43:15Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, shut out, Adam, that's my guy. Or maybe
- 43:19Speaker 2: maybe Jig's pulling a Shane and just can't read the No,
- 43:22Speaker 2: it's just I'm trying to fix it for him.
- 43:23Speaker 4: Like in the in the typos, there's a lot I'm
- 43:26Speaker 4: ice cream talk in the chat right now, people talking
- 43:28Speaker 4: about their favorite type.
- 43:29Speaker 2: Of ice cream, cookies and cream zero classics. Great by
- 43:32Speaker 2: the way, Frands, Hey squirrel zero classic.
- 43:37Speaker 3: Have you ever been?
- 43:38Speaker 2: No, but I wanted, I wanted to. I've been.
- 43:41Speaker 3: I'll net like I will never forget you, and I
- 43:44Speaker 3: going and won the bubble watching shot that we saw,
- 43:47Speaker 3: I'm like, Okay, this is different. But also it was
- 43:50Speaker 3: during the NFL draft and we were trying to keep
- 43:53Speaker 3: up where Foston Warrow was going to go, Like we
- 43:55Speaker 3: want to know where Foster was going to go, here's
- 43:56Speaker 3: our guy or whatever. And I'm like, man, he still
- 43:59Speaker 3: hasn't gone. And then Matt comes out of the restroom.
- 44:02Speaker 3: I was waiting on him. I was like, hey, Foster
- 44:04Speaker 3: got draft. He goes, Man, I hope it's anybody with
- 44:06Speaker 3: the Raiders literally, and yeah, do you remember that?
- 44:10Speaker 2: Hell No, I got a lot of careers over to
- 44:14Speaker 2: the Zurich.
- 44:15Speaker 6: I have been offered tickets from them three years in
- 44:17Speaker 6: a row, and three years in a row, could not
- 44:19Speaker 6: make it because it's just conflicts. It's fun been wanting
- 44:22Speaker 6: to get It's fun. And I'm not even a big golfer,
- 44:24Speaker 6: but like, I've just always wanted to go to an
- 44:25Speaker 6: event like that.
- 44:26Speaker 2: It is fun.
- 44:27Speaker 4: But if you've ever like picked up a golf even
- 44:28Speaker 4: if you're not a golfer, have you ever just like
- 44:30Speaker 4: gone to top golf or whatever and just hit a
- 44:32Speaker 4: golf bomb. It's you can watch these guys play and
- 44:37Speaker 4: just be like, Okay, I appreciate what they're doing. It
- 44:40Speaker 4: is wildly impressed. Agree with that too, what they can
- 44:43Speaker 4: do with a golf club and a golf The sound
- 44:45Speaker 4: of it when it hit like in person, Yeah, it's
- 44:47Speaker 4: they might deal a little bit different technology than you
- 44:50Speaker 4: and I.
- 44:50Speaker 5: Deal with, but man, either way, this weekend, I was
- 44:54Speaker 5: going to have Foamo. Like at first I was going
- 44:55Speaker 5: to go to Zurich with Matt, but then I was like, well,
- 44:59Speaker 5: it's the same weekness Starkville, so obviously I have to
- 45:02Speaker 5: go to Starkville. But either way, I was gonna end
- 45:06Speaker 5: up having Fomo because I have Fomo still from the Zurich,
- 45:08Speaker 5: Like I wish I would have went.
- 45:09Speaker 2: It's great.
- 45:10Speaker 5: Yeah, so Cassie got to go. She said it was
- 45:12Speaker 5: awesome and I didn't get to hear you break down
- 45:14Speaker 5: of Starkville. It was a lot of fun, had a
- 45:18Speaker 5: great time. The baseball wasn't fun, but like Starkville itself was,
- 45:21Speaker 5: I had the best time.
- 45:23Speaker 2: Why when what happened? Well, did we sweep them?
- 45:27Speaker 5: Nope? Actually we got swept. We got sweeps.
- 45:33Speaker 2: We got sweep Matt. The first couple of innings every
- 45:36Speaker 2: game were good. Good.
- 45:38Speaker 5: Actually it was usually through the fifth of each game
- 45:43Speaker 5: was good.
- 45:44Speaker 2: Got him in the first half, then that's more than
- 45:46Speaker 2: half the game.
- 45:47Speaker 5: Some late night heroics from Mississippi State.
- 45:50Speaker 2: So more than half the series.
- 45:52Speaker 5: We we beat him again. I don't hate your logic
- 45:55Speaker 5: with that much. Yeah, I'm loving your math.
- 45:58Speaker 6: Ballpark more when lu would winning like she spent more
- 46:01Speaker 6: time there with LSU winning than Yes, she did.
- 46:04Speaker 2: It's just the end of it, Matt. That's not going
- 46:06Speaker 2: to keep that in the record book.
- 46:07Speaker 3: Hashtag OTV mailbash. Favorite coach you played for in the NFL.
- 46:11Speaker 3: I guess it could be like any coordinator, quarterback.
- 46:14Speaker 2: I mean Mike McCarthy favorite head coach. Yeah, certainly.
- 46:18Speaker 4: Alex Kampell at quarterback coach Tom Clements at quarterback coach
- 46:21Speaker 4: Carl Smith in Seattle Tater, Yeah nickname. We played with
- 46:25Speaker 4: his dad of Tracy Smith, who was here. I had
- 46:29Speaker 4: some really good coaches I can keep.
- 46:32Speaker 3: They coach you to be.
- 46:33Speaker 2: That's a really dumb coach, really good.
- 46:36Speaker 5: Off the bench.
- 46:37Speaker 4: You had some what really dumb coaches as well. Yeah,
- 46:41Speaker 4: that is just because your coach doesn't mean you're smart.
- 46:43Speaker 3: That's very fair, all right.
