- 0:03Speaker 1: What's Up? Gang. Attendance was twenty thousand, two hundred. The
- 0:08Speaker 1: gate was sixteen points seven million. Second highest grossing event ever,
- 0:16Speaker 1: Number four highest. What does it say? Number four highest?
- 0:23Speaker 1: What it is? We did something good at number four,
- 0:26Speaker 1: so we hold number one, two, three, four, six, eight
- 0:30Speaker 1: and nine all time. Here Olive, Aaron Chandler, John Jones, Uh,
- 0:37Speaker 1: Brahemus and Elliott We gave him both. They all got
- 0:40Speaker 1: fifty thousand. It was hard to pick between all those fights,
- 0:43Speaker 1: so they all get fifty thousand. Congrats to them. Oh,
- 0:48Speaker 1: fourth highest all time ever. Yeah, got it, Thank you.
- 0:52Speaker 2: Dana far Here we have star with the main event,
- 0:54Speaker 2: John Jones. Obviously you've been singing his praises forever. This
- 0:58Speaker 2: is the greatest fighter ever. But to do that to
- 1:00Speaker 2: STEVEE and just turn him off with a spinning back
- 1:02Speaker 2: kick of everything, Just what was your reaction away?
- 1:04Speaker 1: And the kicks that started right from the from the
- 1:06Speaker 1: jump hurt him with the first kick. This guy's fight
- 1:09Speaker 1: IQ is off the charts, and you know, everybody gonna
- 1:16Speaker 1: admit now that he's for com best fighter in the world. There.
- 1:19Speaker 1: And let me tell you what this thing had uh,
- 1:22Speaker 1: this thing had upset written all over it too. I
- 1:24Speaker 1: mean Steve All to talk about John Jones, Steve a
- 1:28Speaker 1: seemed pissed, focused, and you know, he came here to win.
- 1:33Speaker 1: He looked good, he was physically in great shape. The
- 1:35Speaker 1: list goes on and on, and John literally picked him apart.
- 1:39Speaker 1: The jab was unbelievable tonight. How he was kicking the
- 1:43Speaker 1: legs and the body. Every time he kicked the body,
- 1:46Speaker 1: I thought it was over, and then he would go
- 1:49Speaker 1: for the head kick and slipping punches. I mean, he's
- 1:54Speaker 1: gonna be thirty eight years old this summer. He looked,
- 1:56Speaker 1: he looked incredible. I just don't know how any of
- 1:58Speaker 1: you don't see that. This guy is the fucking greatest
- 2:02Speaker 1: fighter in the history of fucking people fighting. It's he's
- 2:06Speaker 1: thirty seven going on thirty eight, and again tonight he
- 2:10Speaker 1: went in and did what he did. He's fucking unbelievable
- 2:13Speaker 1: and as long as he's active, he's the pound for
- 2:17Speaker 1: pound best fighter in the world.
- 2:18Speaker 2: So moving forward, what do you do Like, as obviously said,
- 2:21Speaker 2: you want him to fight tom next and you said
- 2:22Speaker 2: that could be just be the biggest heavyweight fight of
- 2:24Speaker 2: all time. Yeah, and John was on the post fight
- 2:29Speaker 2: thing he wants you know he wants he said, he
- 2:30Speaker 2: wants to be well compensated because he saw what Jake.
- 2:32Speaker 2: And so when do you actually meet with him? Is
- 2:35Speaker 2: that a Tuesday conversations again?
- 2:37Speaker 1: Tom waiting outside for me right now? And John, you
- 2:41Speaker 1: let John do John. John's going to disappear. Not only
- 2:46Speaker 1: will you not here about him or what he's doing,
- 2:49Speaker 1: neither will I. And then he will resurface and they'll
- 2:53Speaker 1: call and we'll get it done.
- 2:55Speaker 2: And Steve A just he was very blunt. He said,
- 2:57Speaker 2: you know he's retiring, he's hanging it up.
- 2:59Speaker 3: So he guess what you what are your thoughts of
- 3:01Speaker 3: Steve A's career?
- 3:01Speaker 2: And you know what we saw from him in there,
- 3:03Speaker 2: because Daniel said, he looks kind of slow, maybe a
- 3:04Speaker 2: little sluggish, but he was landing some shots in there.
- 3:07Speaker 1: He looks slow after he took the kicks to the body.
- 3:11Speaker 1: He looks slow. Listen, don't say Steve A. Steve A
- 3:15Speaker 1: was in fucking great shape. He came in and he
- 3:18Speaker 1: was here to win, and John Jones systematically fucking picked
- 3:23Speaker 1: him apart. His fight IQ is off the charts. It
- 3:26Speaker 1: is hard talking to people who ninety nine point nine
- 3:30Speaker 1: percent of the media don't know what the fuck they're
- 3:32Speaker 1: talking about when it comes to fighting. Thank you, sir.
- 3:35Speaker 2: And what do you make of Steve Ae's career now
- 3:37Speaker 2: that he's officially hung it up.
- 3:39Speaker 1: He's had an incredible career and and you know it
- 3:42Speaker 1: doesn't diminish his who he was at heavyweight and what
- 3:45Speaker 1: he's accomplished here. You know, when you think about Steve A,
- 3:48Speaker 1: he's made a lot of money, He's been a firefighter.
- 3:51Speaker 1: He'll retire with his with his pension and all the things.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Steve A is going to have a great life.
- 3:55Speaker 2: The Cole made event obviously, you know, another fight of
- 3:57Speaker 2: the night for Michael Chanley. He was pretty adamant, like
- 3:59Speaker 2: b Charles going to fight for the title and everything
- 4:02Speaker 2: real weird fifth round.
- 4:03Speaker 3: Of you know, a lot of blows to the back
- 4:04Speaker 3: of the head.
- 4:05Speaker 2: A lot of your fighters online seemed very confused, while
- 4:07Speaker 2: the referee wasn't you know, saying anything about that. Just
- 4:10Speaker 2: what did you make of just all the weirdness we
- 4:11Speaker 2: saw in them?
- 4:12Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, the reffing lately has been weird, the
- 4:15Speaker 1: judging has been weird lately. And I don't disagree with you.
- 4:19Speaker 1: I saw a fight tonight that should have been stopped earlier,
- 4:22Speaker 1: and it's just, yeah.
- 4:24Speaker 3: What do you do with Charles?
- 4:25Speaker 2: He's pretty adamant that he wants to be cage side
- 4:27Speaker 2: for that Islam and arm and fight whenever that that happens.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Didn't we fly him in from Brazil and sit them
- 4:31Speaker 1: cage side for that fight?
- 4:33Speaker 2: And just a couple other unrelated to the top two fights.
- 4:36Speaker 2: The gloves that went back to the old is that
- 4:38Speaker 2: that's a permanent move. You're just going to show the
- 4:40Speaker 2: new one.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a permanent move. But the problem is we
- 4:43Speaker 1: don't have enough of the old gloves, so until we
- 4:45Speaker 1: can get them all done, yeah, that's it.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Are you gonna go back to the gold gloves for
- 4:50Speaker 2: the fights? Just black permanently?
- 4:52Speaker 1: You know what, there were good intentions with the new gloves.
- 4:56Speaker 1: We spent a lot of time, energy and money on him.
- 4:58Speaker 1: There were good intentions. Didn't work out and it is
- 5:02Speaker 1: what it is.
- 5:02Speaker 3: Another big win for Jim Miller.
- 5:04Speaker 2: He said that he wants to get to fifty total
- 5:06Speaker 2: UFC fights and then hart stop on his career and
- 5:09Speaker 2: you can hold him to that, he says, deal, and
- 5:11Speaker 2: just one final one I do have to ask you
- 5:13Speaker 2: about you know your friend Mike Tyson tweeted that he
- 5:16Speaker 2: almost died over the summer. He said, you know lost,
- 5:18Speaker 2: he had a bunch of blood transfusions, just had to
- 5:20Speaker 2: fight to get healthy. And then his performance yesterday against
- 5:23Speaker 2: Jake Paul. Just your thoughts on what we saw.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Mike Tyson was right and I was wrong. You know
- 5:31Speaker 1: when you guys know the whole story about Shark Week,
- 5:34Speaker 1: and you know if you don't. I begged him not
- 5:38Speaker 1: to do the the Roy Jones fight. You're too old.
- 5:42Speaker 1: I love you. I don't want to see it take
- 5:43Speaker 1: any more punishment. So I set him up on Shark Week.
- 5:45Speaker 1: He got paid good money and he's like, you fucking
- 5:49Speaker 1: so he almost flipped out the last day and was
- 5:51Speaker 1: ready to kill everybody on the boat because he had
- 5:53Speaker 1: to jump in with all these sharks again in the
- 5:54Speaker 1: middle of Florida. And he's like, this fucking asshole, says
- 5:56Speaker 1: that you know he cares about me and everything else.
- 5:58Speaker 1: I've been fighting since I was and he throws me
- 6:01Speaker 1: in the fucking ocean with a bunch of sharks. He
- 6:04Speaker 1: was right about that too, uh, But he basically said,
- 6:07Speaker 1: I told him, Mike, you're basically sixty years old and
- 6:10Speaker 1: He's like, you honestly think this fucking kid's gonna do
- 6:13Speaker 1: anything to me. He's not good. He's not gonna fucking
- 6:18Speaker 1: knock me out. He's not gonna do this. And you
- 6:20Speaker 1: saw him. He tripped when he was walking down the thing.
- 6:23Speaker 1: He had a hard time walking up the stairs. He
- 6:25Speaker 1: got a knee brace on. And Jake Paul couldn't do
- 6:27Speaker 1: anything to him. He made a ton of money. And
- 6:30Speaker 1: I know people are mad you stayed home on a
- 6:31Speaker 1: Saturday night, but you didn't pay for it, you know
- 6:33Speaker 1: what I mean. And you know, Mike, this is what
- 6:36Speaker 1: Mike Tyson. Mike Tyson shows up. Everybody makes money. You know.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Jake Paul's you know. I don't have to tell you guys.
- 6:44Speaker 1: You guys know Mike Tyson is the A plus plus
- 6:47Speaker 1: plus plus side of that thing. And and he was right.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Jake Paul couldn't do shit to him. He was right,
- 6:55Speaker 1: And now I was wrong when.
- 6:56Speaker 4: You say, uh, the twelve jug fight would be the
- 6:58Speaker 4: biggest of time you have, even bigger than the brock
- 7:01Speaker 4: lesnar days at heavyweight.
- 7:02Speaker 1: As well, be the biggest heavyweight fight in UFC history
- 7:04Speaker 1: by a long shot.
- 7:06Speaker 4: When you look at that fight, stylistically right as you said,
- 7:08Speaker 4: John still amazing, still incredibly varied attacks, great IQ, But
- 7:12Speaker 4: it would seem the Tom's advantage would be in the speed.
- 7:15Speaker 4: When you look at that fight, how do you break
- 7:17Speaker 4: it down and how do you think that could play out?
- 7:19Speaker 1: I have no idea. I mean, I don't know what
- 7:21Speaker 1: John's going to do. John's one of those guys that
- 7:23Speaker 1: I was saying earlier has the highest fight ik. He's
- 7:26Speaker 1: like fucking Elon Musk in the octagon. Okay, this guy
- 7:30Speaker 1: is brilliant in there and the things that he pulls off,
- 7:33Speaker 1: Like you didn't You didn't see any of the spinning
- 7:35Speaker 1: elbows tonight that he that he does normally. He did
- 7:38Speaker 1: all different shit tonight. I'm sure he sat down and
- 7:40Speaker 1: watched Steve Bay's tapes. And I don't know what he'll
- 7:43Speaker 1: do with aspinall.
- 7:44Speaker 4: Michael Chandler getting Charles getting his back and him doing
- 7:47Speaker 4: the slams into it obviously not advisable. But did you
- 7:50Speaker 4: enjoy that as a spectator?
- 7:53Speaker 1: I'm sorry, what did you ask me?
- 7:54Speaker 4: I said, did you enjoy when Charldler threw himself backwards
- 7:57Speaker 4: with Charles?
- 7:58Speaker 1: Yeah? That was awesome?
- 8:00Speaker 4: What I mean obviously look his I think he's two
- 8:02Speaker 4: and three now in the UFC, but every time he
- 8:04Speaker 4: goes out there right puts on a crazy show. He's
- 8:06Speaker 4: one of those fighters that I'm sure you just love
- 8:08Speaker 4: to have a round, regardless of his win lost record.
- 8:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, he's like an artorial god.
- 8:12Speaker 5: Ye.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Man, he's one of those guys win, loser, draw. You're
- 8:15Speaker 1: never bombed out at the end of a Michael Chandler fight.
- 8:18Speaker 1: Last for me.
- 8:19Speaker 4: Look, I know that there's you gotta let John do
- 8:20Speaker 4: John go and disappear for a while, But do you
- 8:23Speaker 4: have to have a time limit on it for those negotiations,
- 8:25Speaker 4: because obviously Tom's been like, of course, yeah, do you
- 8:27Speaker 4: have any idea when you just sort of think like, hey,
- 8:29Speaker 4: come on, no.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Dan a right here? Then right here? Yeah, yeah, yep,
- 8:36Speaker 1: hey noah, he yeah.
- 8:37Speaker 6: Hey Dana, congratulations are of the great night.
- 8:40Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 8:41Speaker 6: Obviously we come to New York. It's always a huge card. Uh,
- 8:44Speaker 6: you know, best city in the world, tons of celebrities.
- 8:47Speaker 6: We got the great kid rock right here. He came
- 8:50Speaker 6: to He came to Iraq in two thousand and four
- 8:52Speaker 6: when I was in the army, did a free concert.
- 8:54Speaker 1: I want to publicly thank him for that. Yeah, nobody
- 8:56Speaker 1: loves the troops more than Kid Rock does. Man. Kid
- 8:57Speaker 1: Rock does so much stuff, uh for the troops and
- 9:01Speaker 1: for this country. He's a good man. Yeah.
- 9:04Speaker 6: That said, do you have to think about instead of
- 9:06Speaker 6: doing the card just in November, maybe do two cards
- 9:08Speaker 6: in New York a year.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Yeah. It just here's the thing is, we go into
- 9:15Speaker 1: twenty five, there's a lot of places that we haven't
- 9:18Speaker 1: been pre COVID, right, and there were places that I
- 9:23Speaker 1: didn't want to go until everything started to get back
- 9:25Speaker 1: to normal. It's like New York City, You're not wrong,
- 9:28Speaker 1: is one of the greatest cities on Earth. Right. Since
- 9:31Speaker 1: I've been here the last two days, this place feels
- 9:34Speaker 1: like New York City again. Like people everywhere, pack, shopping,
- 9:38Speaker 1: eating out. There's just a good energy here again, man,
- 9:42Speaker 1: And it felt really good. But in twenty five, will
- 9:47Speaker 1: probably just come back here once, even though I'd love
- 9:49Speaker 1: to come back here more. But there's cities that I'm
- 9:51Speaker 1: gonna go to next year that we haven't been to
- 9:52Speaker 1: in a while. I'm gonna do Chicago, I'm gonna do Seattle,
- 9:54Speaker 1: I'm gonna do you know a few other places in
- 9:57Speaker 1: twenty five.
- 9:58Speaker 6: So obviously this is a big pay for your your
- 10:00Speaker 6: next pay view, you have the flyweight title fight, you
- 10:03Speaker 6: have kay Asakara the main event. Uc docomer two part
- 10:07Speaker 6: question being that a lot of people who don't follow
- 10:10Speaker 6: outside of the UFC might not know he is. Are
- 10:13Speaker 6: you worried about not attracting as much fans? But second part,
- 10:17Speaker 6: he hasn't fought at flyweight in seven years. Any of
- 10:20Speaker 6: the discussion when you decided that he'd get the title shot.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Yeah, first of all, for people to know who he
- 10:25Speaker 1: is and be excited to see him fight, that's my
- 10:27Speaker 1: job number one. Number two, No, that that that wasn't
- 10:32Speaker 1: it's It's very typical for Japan, you know what I mean,
- 10:35Speaker 1: They always fight higher than they probably should. But when
- 10:39Speaker 1: you come over here, there's a whole whole nother ballgame here.
- 10:43Speaker 1: You know, they literally the best in the world are here.
- 10:47Speaker 1: But we love the skin and we think it's it's
- 10:49Speaker 1: going to be an exciting, fun fight.
- 10:51Speaker 6: And my last question, this is your first pay view
- 10:53Speaker 6: since Donald Trump won the election. I know he's a
- 10:56Speaker 6: close friend of you, but from a business side, how
- 10:58Speaker 6: does that change the UFE? Is it is it? Is
- 11:01Speaker 6: it positive for the UFC with with him being the president,
- 11:05Speaker 6: or does it not change anything.
- 11:06Speaker 1: I think it's positive for the world to be honest
- 11:08Speaker 1: with you. I mean, listen, no matter what side of
- 11:12Speaker 1: the fence you sit on politically, you cannot deny that
- 11:15Speaker 1: there's almost like this weight that's been lifted off the
- 11:18Speaker 1: country right now and this sigh of relief and things
- 11:24Speaker 1: were already getting better. He's not even in there yet.
- 11:27Speaker 1: So yeah, I know most of the people in the
- 11:31Speaker 1: room disagree with me, but yeah, yeah, one guy back
- 11:37Speaker 1: there that's supporting everything I say. Tonight, thank you, sir Dana.
- 11:41Speaker 7: When you hear the crowd's reaction after Bo won and
- 11:44Speaker 7: they were booing and chanting overrated, just how did you
- 11:47Speaker 7: kind of process that?
- 11:48Speaker 1: Well, you know, we we've had these these discussions with Bo.
- 11:54Speaker 1: You know, Bo needs work. Bo's an up and coming guy.
- 11:58Speaker 1: I know he uh, he has big aspirations and wants
- 12:03Speaker 1: to move faster than he should. But tonight showed that
- 12:08Speaker 1: he's still dominated. I mean, he won the whole fight,
- 12:10Speaker 1: but he's got what he's got work to do. It's
- 12:12Speaker 1: all right, we'll move him. And uh, when you're in
- 12:15Speaker 1: a position like Bo is, there's a lot of expectations,
- 12:20Speaker 1: you know, and uh, did you see the size of Craig.
- 12:24Speaker 1: I mean, guy's a fucking monster. The President looked at
- 12:27Speaker 1: me and said, these guys are in the same weight
- 12:29Speaker 1: class because he loves Bo Nickel, so I said, yeah,
- 12:32Speaker 1: they are. It's crazy.
- 12:34Speaker 7: And then on the Chandler side of it, afterwards, You're right,
- 12:38Speaker 7: eventually calls out Connor McGregor again, like do you even
- 12:41Speaker 7: go down that road?
- 12:42Speaker 1: Like, who did Bo? No? Chandler? Oh, Chandler?
- 12:46Speaker 7: Yeah, is that like a waste?
- 12:48Speaker 1: At this point, Connor is going to come back late
- 12:50Speaker 1: twenty five, so there's a lot of time before we
- 12:52Speaker 1: figure out who's gonna fight Connor right here, Yeah, tonight.
- 12:58Speaker 5: Some interesting records, right, Jim Mill twenty seven UFC wins
- 13:01Speaker 5: the most, John Jones the first to have a twenty
- 13:03Speaker 5: fight unbeaten streak, Charles Olivera the first to get twenty
- 13:06Speaker 5: bonuses in the UFC. Which one of those is most
- 13:09Speaker 5: impressive to you?
- 13:10Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a tough one. They're all impressive in their
- 13:13Speaker 1: own ways. I mean, if you're looking an older guy
- 13:17Speaker 1: like Jim doing what he's doing still at the level
- 13:19Speaker 1: he's doing it, that's obviously super impressive. And then I mean,
- 13:24Speaker 1: John Jones, you guys don't even want to fucking hear it.
- 13:26Speaker 1: But and then OLIVERA, Yeah, he's such a beast man.
- 13:32Speaker 1: The kid Kid's incredible. They're all great in the wrong
- 13:36Speaker 1: way for sure.
- 13:37Speaker 5: And John has made it clear and kind of the
- 13:38Speaker 5: interviews he's done he wants to be a well compensated
- 13:40Speaker 5: for this Tom fight. And I know the last time
- 13:43Speaker 5: this is kind of a thing. With the Tom or
- 13:45Speaker 5: with the Francis and Ganu fight, you said he wanted
- 13:47Speaker 5: thirty million. There's the Anthony Joshua money quote and stuff.
- 13:50Speaker 5: Do you feel like this could be leading to that
- 13:53Speaker 5: same type of friction or do you think it'll be
- 13:55Speaker 5: an easier negotiation this time.
- 13:56Speaker 1: John's always been well compensated, you know, He's always been
- 13:59Speaker 1: well compensated. H I would never put his total purse
- 14:06Speaker 1: number out there, but it's fucking massive, the number that
- 14:09Speaker 1: he went over tonight. He's He's made a lot of
- 14:12Speaker 1: money in his career. Listen, you don't fight and then
- 14:14Speaker 1: disappear for five years because you weren't well compensated. Makes
- 14:19Speaker 1: a lot of money. So he'll make a lot more
- 14:22Speaker 1: for this fight.
- 14:23Speaker 8: On a slightly happier note for boxing than I know
- 14:25Speaker 8: you're disappointed about Tyson and all that, But did you
- 14:28Speaker 8: get to see the Serrano Taylor fight.
- 14:30Speaker 1: Yes, it was awesome.
- 14:33Speaker 8: Do you think uh Serrano, I'm over here in the
- 14:35Speaker 8: middle data Okay, do you think Serano won as she's
- 14:38Speaker 8: saying on Socials.
- 14:39Speaker 1: Or I don't know. I mean I was watching it,
- 14:42Speaker 1: but I wasn't scoring it. But it was a great fight.
- 14:45Speaker 1: You know, those girls were banging, throwing tons of combos,
- 14:49Speaker 1: and that's the other thing. I mean, all the people
- 14:51Speaker 1: that are you know, you know, there's a lot of
- 14:55Speaker 1: Portannoi went out and said that it was the greatest
- 14:57Speaker 1: con job of all time, and h I mean, if
- 15:02Speaker 1: if you didn't think that, that's the way the fight,
- 15:03Speaker 1: I don't know what people expected. You know, Mike's almost
- 15:06Speaker 1: sixty years old. He's Mike Tyson, but he's sixty years old,
- 15:10Speaker 1: and he knew that Jake Paul couldn't do anything to him.
- 15:14Speaker 1: So you knew what you were gonna get when you
- 15:16Speaker 1: saw that fight. He can't be mad. It was fucking free.
- 15:18Speaker 1: We all got Netflix anyway, right, and you got to
- 15:21Speaker 1: watch the girls fight. And the girls fight was good,
- 15:24Speaker 1: you know, I know a lot of people were pissed,
- 15:25Speaker 1: but and it was a bit of a shit show.
- 15:28Speaker 1: But you know what, what did you expect? Seriously, when
- 15:32Speaker 1: you stayed home and you turned on Netflix that night,
- 15:35Speaker 1: we were like, holy fuck, I'm about to see the
- 15:36Speaker 1: greatest live sporting event of all time. No, you fucking
- 15:40Speaker 1: did not. You got exactly what you thought you were
- 15:43Speaker 1: gonna get.
- 15:44Speaker 8: I was there for the Toronto Taylor, but you know it.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Was Oh you were there and you flew back here,
- 15:51Speaker 1: Oh no to watch? Yeah, yeah watching? Yeah, Yeah, you're right,
- 15:53Speaker 1: And that's the listen. If you're a five fan, you're right.
- 15:57Speaker 1: You're right.
- 15:58Speaker 5: Dana going off that sorry because it's cut me off
- 16:00Speaker 5: before you're obviously watching the event. What did you think of,
- 16:04Speaker 5: like the production and stuff for Netflix? As I imagine
- 16:06Speaker 5: as you guys go into this negotiation for the next
- 16:08Speaker 5: television rates.
- 16:09Speaker 1: Well, nobody does my production. I do. That's been my deal.
- 16:13Speaker 1: But that's not the deal with almost every sport is
- 16:16Speaker 1: maybe every sport as far as I know, but not me.
- 16:19Speaker 1: Nobody's going to control my product. I do. And for Netflix,
- 16:26Speaker 1: this thing was brilliant because you knew it was gonna
- 16:28Speaker 1: pull a massive number because of Mike Tyson. Right, And
- 16:31Speaker 1: to be fair to Jake, you're gonna turn in. You're
- 16:33Speaker 1: going to tune in to watch him get knocked out hopefully, right,
- 16:35Speaker 1: that's what everybody wants to see. But they needed to
- 16:40Speaker 1: do this test. They got the NFL coming at Christmas,
- 16:42Speaker 1: they're just getting into live sports. They needed to do
- 16:45Speaker 1: this to test it, to test something that they knew
- 16:47Speaker 1: they would pull a big number on. And Mike Tyson
- 16:49Speaker 1: pulls big numbers.
- 16:51Speaker 5: And you booked this Ian Gary versus shop Cup fight
- 16:54Speaker 5: for the next pay per view, no interim title, just
- 16:56Speaker 5: to comin event. Five rounds was that discussed at all?
- 16:59Speaker 5: And with ball All out in this situation, was an
- 17:02Speaker 5: interim title not the right decision?
- 17:05Speaker 1: Yeah, because we know when Ballall's coming back, you know
- 17:07Speaker 1: he's not going to be out that long. So it's
- 17:10Speaker 1: a number one contender fight. You do five rounds, which
- 17:12Speaker 1: is great for both of those guys to get five
- 17:14Speaker 1: rounds under the belt before they fight Blall. And when
- 17:18Speaker 1: do you ever have a fight, especially in MMA, we
- 17:21Speaker 1: have two undefeated guys. You got an eighteen and oher
- 17:24Speaker 1: with one hundred percent finish rate and a fifteen and
- 17:26Speaker 1: oh you know, two of the best young up and
- 17:29Speaker 1: coming prospects in the division to face off to see
- 17:32Speaker 1: who's the number one contender.
- 17:33Speaker 5: Shafka tweeted out that he was really disappointed in the division.
- 17:36Speaker 5: He said, basically everyone ranked above Ian turned the fight down.
- 17:40Speaker 5: Was it difficult to get the fight made?
- 17:42Speaker 1: No, not at all. Listen, all these guys get disappointed, boy,
- 17:45Speaker 1: I mean, you want to talk about disappointment. Chris Widen
- 17:47Speaker 1: is probably the most disappointed dude on the planet right now.
- 17:49Speaker 1: That's the sport and it happens.
- 17:52Speaker 5: Yeah, and you announced the key one schedule tonight. That
- 17:56Speaker 5: came out and you're going to the Intuit Dome in
- 17:58Speaker 5: LA in January? Was why I go there instead of
- 18:01Speaker 5: Staples Center? What's appealing about it?
- 18:03Speaker 1: It's new, you know, I like new arenas, new technology,
- 18:07Speaker 1: and uh yeah, this place is supposed to be bad
- 18:09Speaker 1: ass and I'm looking forward to checking it out. Dana
- 18:12Speaker 1: can I can't wait. Congrats on tonight. Thank you, sir.
- 18:16Speaker 1: You've turned the UFC into this global.
- 18:18Speaker 9: Entity powerful you you mentioned that, I mean, I think
- 18:21Speaker 9: for boxing fans, it was frustrating last night. So often
- 18:24Speaker 9: in our lives when boxings had big moments they've stumbled
- 18:27Speaker 9: where that's kind of where the UFC flourishes. Is that
- 18:29Speaker 9: still an option for you to to revamp the boxing
- 18:32Speaker 9: world or is that just too complicated a task.
- 18:36Speaker 1: It's no, it's it's it's it's the question. Uh, it's
- 18:40Speaker 1: the question to ask. We're gonna find out I'm interested in.
- 18:45Speaker 1: We're trying to hammer something out right now if it
- 18:48Speaker 1: gets done, and we'll probably done around February, and then
- 18:53Speaker 1: we'll find out it needs to be ripped right down
- 18:57Speaker 1: to the ground and rebuilt. We started this kind company.
- 19:01Speaker 1: We had uh, like thirteen contracts. Nobody knew anybody. We
- 19:05Speaker 1: weren't on television. We had a direct TV deal where
- 19:08Speaker 1: we did like fucking twenty five hundred buys every time
- 19:10Speaker 1: we did a show, and we literally built it from
- 19:13Speaker 1: the ground up. That's how you do it. I don't
- 19:15Speaker 1: know if there's ever been a sporting of business or
- 19:18Speaker 1: anything in the history of the world that has brought
- 19:21Speaker 1: in trillions of dollars trillions in revenue and at the
- 19:24Speaker 1: end of the day, there's nothing left. There's nothing there.
- 19:26Speaker 1: It's you know, So that's the plan.
- 19:32Speaker 2: Yeah, just taking in the front right here. The the
- 19:35Speaker 2: odds for Tom and John where the early odds are
- 19:38Speaker 2: just released. Tom is a minus one thirty five to
- 19:40Speaker 2: John being a plus one fifteen. I'm curious what you
- 19:42Speaker 2: make of those odds.
- 19:43Speaker 1: It's awesome. I love it.
- 19:45Speaker 3: I love it. Just one other last one that I remembered.
- 19:48Speaker 2: It was announced Nick Diaz is probably out of his
- 19:50Speaker 2: fight because we sent a Luke. Does that have anything
- 19:53Speaker 2: to do with that video of Nick that came out.
- 19:56Speaker 1: That Nicks out of the fight?
- 19:57Speaker 3: Yeah, that's been reported.
- 19:58Speaker 1: Should I don't even know that kind of the fight?
- 20:02Speaker 2: Okay, well, if have you been made aware of that
- 20:06Speaker 2: video of Nick going around social media?
- 20:08Speaker 1: I've seen a lot of videos in Nicky Nate Dana.
- 20:13Speaker 9: The UFC signed Mikey Mussa Machi to the first PJJ
- 20:16Speaker 9: exclusive promotional contract in UFC history.
- 20:18Speaker 10: Can you just talk more about the work that went
- 20:20Speaker 10: into that.
- 20:20Speaker 3: You said it's been in the works for over a year.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean we're getting into uh, we're getting into
- 20:26Speaker 1: into grappling now. So he's one of many. We'll go
- 20:30Speaker 1: after all the greatest guys in the world. Yeah, over, yep.
- 20:36Speaker 11: Yeah, you know, congrats on the night, on the phenomenal night.
- 20:39Speaker 11: I wanted to ask you you know, were there any
- 20:41Speaker 11: upcoming fighters or you know, something a couple a couple
- 20:44Speaker 11: of guys on the under card you're actually excited about
- 20:46Speaker 11: potential matchups happening later. And also, you know, just to
- 20:49Speaker 11: emphasize the impact that tonight, you know, with the past
- 20:52Speaker 11: presidential election and and everything going on on the grandest
- 20:56Speaker 11: stage possibly in the country, you know, just the overall
- 20:59Speaker 11: energy and everything tonight.
- 21:03Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean we always all the guys that are
- 21:05Speaker 1: on the undercards are usually guys that we you know,
- 21:08Speaker 1: have high hopes for and that you know, we're looking
- 21:10Speaker 1: to build. I don't really understand your question about the election,
- 21:15Speaker 1: but yeah, like I said earlier, I mean I can
- 21:18Speaker 1: feel the difference when I go into places like New
- 21:21Speaker 1: York that's that's normally crazy blue, and people are running
- 21:24Speaker 1: up to me and thanking me and saying, you know,
- 21:27Speaker 1: it's just it's a And New York has a completely
- 21:30Speaker 1: different vibe this time than the last. You know, several
- 21:33Speaker 1: times that I've been here, it feels like New York again,
- 21:38Speaker 1: does one down one to go LA, Let's get LA.
- 21:44Speaker 12: Back data just in general, like, why do you think
- 21:47Speaker 12: your fighters kind of relate well to Trump? Because like
- 21:49Speaker 12: back back to back. It was both than Chandler than
- 21:53Speaker 12: John Why do you think they relate to what to the president?
- 21:55Speaker 1: Well, if you saw the election, the entire country relates
- 21:58Speaker 1: with Trump right now. When all the swing states, the
- 22:01Speaker 1: only states she won were the ones that you didn't
- 22:03Speaker 1: need ID to vote in, it would have been interesting,
- 22:05Speaker 1: if you need a ID, how that would have played
- 22:07Speaker 1: out too. I think that, I think the whole country
- 22:12Speaker 1: it feels like somebody hit the reset button. Everything feels
- 22:15Speaker 1: And however this election went, everybody was hoping it was
- 22:21Speaker 1: a blowout either way so there would be no more bullshit.
- 22:24Speaker 1: And what I think is, I think everybody's tired of
- 22:27Speaker 1: the bullshit. Man, We're all tired. We all just want
- 22:29Speaker 1: to live our lives and run our businesses and raise
- 22:31Speaker 1: our families and do all that shit and and hopefully, uh,
- 22:36Speaker 1: this stuff will all simmer down in the next four years.
- 22:39Speaker 12: Because when you had that speech when he got elected,
- 22:43Speaker 12: you think that's what the boys like, all the podcasters.
- 22:45Speaker 12: So it seems like a lot of young men like
- 22:47Speaker 12: relate Walter Shrimp. So just like how the fighters can relate.
- 22:50Speaker 7: Some of the night.
- 22:52Speaker 1: So I've had this, I've had this philosophy for the
- 22:56Speaker 1: last five years. That traditional media is dead and it
- 23:00Speaker 1: doesn't hold the influence that it used to hold. The
- 23:03Speaker 1: two most hated people in this world right now, the
- 23:05Speaker 1: media and the politicians. Nobody trusts them and nobody believes them.
- 23:09Speaker 1: And the true influence right now is with these kids
- 23:13Speaker 1: that are on the Internet and they're called influencers. So
- 23:17Speaker 1: I've been creating relationships with these people over the last
- 23:20Speaker 1: you know, like I said, four or five years, and
- 23:24Speaker 1: this election was one on the internet, da the way,
- 23:30Speaker 1: the way, the way power Slab was built, That's the
- 23:33Speaker 1: way this election was one. And the Hispanic vote was
- 23:38Speaker 1: incredibly powerful, the male black vote, and the youth, the
- 23:42Speaker 1: youth all came out.
- 23:44Speaker 13: So Dana, Yeah, you've worked with John Jones for sixteen years.
- 23:49Speaker 13: You've seen him go through ups and downs in and
- 23:51Speaker 13: outside of the cage outside of his fighting career. What
- 23:54Speaker 13: do you think is your most impactful moment you've had with.
- 23:56Speaker 1: John outside of what his fighting career.
- 24:00Speaker 3: Yep, outside of the cage.
- 24:01Speaker 1: Like as And and John Jones never got along outside of
- 24:04Speaker 1: the cage. We've had a horrendous relationship for sixteen years,
- 24:08Speaker 1: not sixteen, call it ten twelve.
- 24:12Speaker 13: Well, I'm sure he's happy that you're claiming him as
- 24:14Speaker 13: a pound for pound.
- 24:15Speaker 1: Number one, because it's a fact. We don't have to
- 24:17Speaker 1: like each other. We don't have to worry. I'm not
- 24:18Speaker 1: saying we don't have that kind of relationship anymore, but
- 24:22Speaker 1: I don't have to like him to realize who he
- 24:27Speaker 1: is and what he is and what he's capable of,
- 24:29Speaker 1: and see the brilliance you know he is. He is
- 24:34Speaker 1: the best to ever fight in a fucking fight period. Ever.
- 24:42Speaker 1: I agree, unless like maybe in the Roman days. I
- 24:44Speaker 1: don't know how fucking anybody that fought back then, but
- 24:46Speaker 1: since people have been fucking documenting fighting, he's the best ever.
- 24:50Speaker 1: And one last question for me.
- 24:51Speaker 13: Venom has come out with a lot of custom shorts
- 24:53Speaker 13: this year. Four fighters on today's card had him. Which
- 24:56Speaker 13: ones are your favorite of this year?
- 24:58Speaker 1: I don't even know anything about any of them. All good.
- 25:01Speaker 1: That is way out of my fucking wheelhouse.
- 25:04Speaker 10: Right back here.
- 25:05Speaker 14: Yeah, you've hit one hundred shows in the Apex. Uh
- 25:09Speaker 14: this year, seventeen out of twenty eight UFC fight nights
- 25:13Speaker 14: will have taken place inside the Apex.
- 25:15Speaker 1: With every other sport back to pre.
- 25:17Speaker 14: Pandemic operations, do you plan on getting on the road
- 25:22Speaker 14: more than fifty of the shows this year.
- 25:25Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm the one that got all of the sports
- 25:30Speaker 1: back on the road that you did.
- 25:32Speaker 14: And yeah, I've wondered why we're still at the Apex.
- 25:36Speaker 1: Because, you know what, I had a problem going to
- 25:38Speaker 1: a lot of places. At one point, I said, do
- 25:40Speaker 1: you know where I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go to
- 25:42Speaker 1: places where it's easy to run my business and we're
- 25:44Speaker 1: not gonna have to deal with any bullshit. So you know,
- 25:48Speaker 1: we we you know where we've been the usual suspects.
- 25:56Speaker 1: So we uh we we uh, we're gonna stay. Are
- 26:00Speaker 1: hitting a lot of those places this year, and yes, sir,
- 26:02Speaker 1: we will. We will travel, fight nights more too. Sounds good, Dana,
- 26:08Speaker 1: Yeah here, yeah here, okay, yeah yeah.
- 26:12Speaker 15: Coming through this room, a guy told me have a
- 26:15Speaker 15: cancer and the one monthtually, but that he was happy
- 26:19Speaker 15: to have seeing a UFC event. How do you feel
- 26:23Speaker 15: provided this kind of emotion for people?
- 26:29Speaker 1: He said?
- 26:30Speaker 3: There was some I believe it. He said, there was
- 26:31Speaker 3: someone he met that was dying from cancer.
- 26:33Speaker 5: But what was it?
- 26:36Speaker 1: He said?
- 26:37Speaker 3: I believe? He correct me if I'm wrong.
- 26:38Speaker 2: He met a fan that was dying from cancer and
- 26:40Speaker 2: he was happy that I was able to see that.
- 26:44Speaker 1: Do we have a translator here?
- 26:47Speaker 10: Oh?
- 26:47Speaker 1: John Jones kid, the guy with John Jones?
- 26:51Speaker 15: No, No, just a guy in this in this Madison
- 26:55Speaker 15: Square Garden have a cancert and told me and he's happy.
- 27:01Speaker 1: So we've had so much of that so behind the scenes,
- 27:06Speaker 1: like people will reach out all the time that are
- 27:08Speaker 1: dying of cancer and all these different things, and we
- 27:10Speaker 1: always bring people in to experience it. And how does
- 27:13Speaker 1: it make me feel incredible that people who are dying
- 27:16Speaker 1: want to come here and see an event, you know
- 27:18Speaker 1: what I mean?
- 27:19Speaker 10: It's he was very happy in here.
- 27:22Speaker 1: Makes me happy, yes, sir?
- 27:25Speaker 16: Yeah, you say that Jon has the potential to be
- 27:28Speaker 16: the biggest heavyweight fight of all time. Is that a
- 27:31Speaker 16: fight that you think you could go against your normal
- 27:34Speaker 16: rules and go for a stadium.
- 27:38Speaker 1: It doesn't have the potential it's going to be. It's
- 27:40Speaker 1: gonna be the biggest heavyweight fight ever. It'll probably be
- 27:44Speaker 1: the biggest fight we've ever done. And uh, I hate stadiums, man,
- 27:50Speaker 1: I hate him. I like arenas. It's just such a
- 27:53Speaker 1: better vibe. People can see better, you know, probably in.
- 28:01Speaker 16: That fight will obviously take place in the USA.
- 28:04Speaker 1: We don't know we're talking about. We were literally talking
- 28:06Speaker 1: about a lot of different options tonight before we came
- 28:09Speaker 1: in here. Could be anywhere, could literally be anywhere.
- 28:14Speaker 3: Thank you over here just quickly.
- 28:17Speaker 17: You know, obviously you don't make the fights on the night.
- 28:19Speaker 17: But I'd imagine if if Chandler had beatn OLIVERA would
- 28:22Speaker 17: have been well, Oliver is obviously gonna gonna move on
- 28:24Speaker 17: and be fighting up the division. Does does the results
- 28:27Speaker 17: almost kind of help him in getting that McGregor fight
- 28:30Speaker 17: back on track a little bit? The fact that it
- 28:32Speaker 17: didn't go his way tonight, I don't know.
- 28:34Speaker 1: I mean anything, spot Listen. Like I said, he's like
- 28:38Speaker 1: Arturo Gatti, you know what I mean. People want to
- 28:41Speaker 1: see him fight, win, lose or draw. He's always exciting,
- 28:44Speaker 1: he's always fun. I mean the last round of that fight,
- 28:48Speaker 1: he kept getting taken down, get on his back. So
- 28:51Speaker 1: when he got on his back at the end, he
- 28:52Speaker 1: just stood up and started slamming him. The kid always
- 28:55Speaker 1: tries to win. He always comes to fight, and Michael
- 28:58Speaker 1: Chandler is always gonna have a I mean until he
- 29:01Speaker 1: decides to retire. Michael Chandler isn't going anywhere? Will he
- 29:04Speaker 1: fight Connor? I don't know. With regards Connor.
- 29:07Speaker 17: You mentioned on on the Jim Road Jol and again
- 29:09Speaker 17: today that it's gonna be the end of next year,
- 29:10Speaker 17: which will bring him over four years out of the octagon.
- 29:13Speaker 17: I spoke to him a couple of weeks ago and
- 29:14Speaker 17: he seemed more like he was maybe gonna fight in February. First,
- 29:17Speaker 17: where's the disconnect there?
- 29:18Speaker 1: Who felt like that? Connor Connor? And disconnect in me?
- 29:22Speaker 1: And there's no doubt that Connor Connor hits me up
- 29:31Speaker 1: all the time. Connor wants to fight Connor. I told
- 29:34Speaker 1: you guys that he probably wouldn't fight in twenty four,
- 29:36Speaker 1: and he didn't. He's gonna fight in twenty five, probably
- 29:39Speaker 1: at the end of the year. If it's earlier, that's
- 29:43Speaker 1: good for all of us. Why so late the one
- 29:46Speaker 1: it's gonna play out? Thank you, Thank you, you know, yeah.
- 29:50Speaker 10: Here, thanks for making a great night. Thank you, sir,
- 29:52Speaker 10: it was a great experience. I wanted to ask about
- 29:55Speaker 10: John Jones. I know you like Christians about him. So
- 29:59Speaker 10: if Ospinall gets out of the fight, if your schedule
- 30:03Speaker 10: a fight then he gets out of fight, do you
- 30:05Speaker 10: think you'll try to make a fight against Perreira.
- 30:08Speaker 1: No, okay, you know what, you know what tonight told me.
- 30:11Speaker 1: There's no fucking way I make the Perira fight. Okay,
- 30:14Speaker 1: John's too big, great wrestler. See how he took step
- 30:18Speaker 1: A down in that first round. I like Alex Perera,
- 30:22Speaker 1: I like him personally, you know, but it's just the
- 30:25Speaker 1: greater time, right, it just doesn't make sense to make
- 30:28Speaker 1: that fight. If they both want it bad enough and
- 30:31Speaker 1: they're both fucking hounding me or something, maybe I would
- 30:35Speaker 1: do it. It's just Alex Perera is killing it. Look
- 30:38Speaker 1: at his age and what he's doing right now. What's
- 30:42Speaker 1: what's the reason to go up and fight a guy
- 30:43Speaker 1: that's so much bigger than you and such a good wrestler.
- 30:48Speaker 5: What is it?
- 30:49Speaker 10: Money?
- 30:50Speaker 1: Money? And no, yeah, no, you're right, that's that's definitely
- 30:54Speaker 1: that's definitely a reason. But just so we're clear, I
- 30:58Speaker 1: don't want to make any of that kind of money.
- 31:00Speaker 1: I want Pereira to stay where he is and do
- 31:03Speaker 1: what he does and you know, run the street. But again,
- 31:06Speaker 1: if they go crazy on me and they want to
- 31:07Speaker 1: do it, then then what am I gonna do? They're
- 31:09Speaker 1: grown ass men, and and and I'm sure the fans
- 31:12Speaker 1: want to see I'm sure you want to see it.
- 31:13Speaker 1: I guess we'll talk about it.
- 31:15Speaker 10: And the second question off topic a little bit. Uh
- 31:19Speaker 10: uh be for the fight. You said you're gonna announce
- 31:22Speaker 10: the makativ Sarakan soum.
- 31:24Speaker 1: Is it still like actual or I said it was
- 31:27Speaker 1: gonna announce what?
- 31:28Speaker 10: Uh the Sarukan and Makatu fight. Oh and Los Angeles?
- 31:35Speaker 1: Okay?
- 31:36Speaker 10: Is it like already like done or you're still working
- 31:39Speaker 10: on it?
- 31:39Speaker 1: Because did I announce it?
- 31:41Speaker 15: No?
- 31:41Speaker 10: I didn't by you say you're gonna announce it.
- 31:43Speaker 1: I said I was gonna announce it after this fight
- 31:45Speaker 1: at the press conference. You're good, sir?
- 31:53Speaker 16: Sorry?
- 31:54Speaker 10: Uh?
- 31:54Speaker 3: Two cool questions.
- 31:55Speaker 10: Uh.
- 31:56Speaker 3: Some fighters have said that they like the new gloves.
- 31:59Speaker 3: Is there he thought about this?
- 32:00Speaker 1: One guy? All right?
- 32:03Speaker 3: No, just saying let the fighters choose.
- 32:05Speaker 8: Is that a I know you said you're waiting to
- 32:07Speaker 8: get more gloves in, but if any fighters still want
- 32:10Speaker 8: to use the new gloves. Two guys said that there
- 32:13Speaker 8: their hands felt really good after the fight. It gave
- 32:16Speaker 8: better protection.
- 32:17Speaker 3: Any thought on that?
- 32:19Speaker 1: You know how fucking good that is? The hair, sir?
- 32:21Speaker 1: You know which money I spent on this money, time energy.
- 32:24Speaker 1: I'm very happy that two guys love the gloves. I'm
- 32:28Speaker 1: really happy. It might be more than two, but there
- 32:30Speaker 1: might be Speak up now or forever, hold your peace. Yeah,
- 32:34Speaker 1: I'm glad. I'm glad to hear it.
- 32:36Speaker 8: The last question I have is, uh, it seemed like
- 32:40Speaker 8: you might have softened your stance on an outdoor venue,
- 32:44Speaker 8: perhaps for say a UFC Africa, or perhaps.
- 32:47Speaker 3: Even a smaller arena than you might normally do.
- 32:50Speaker 1: Why is that?
- 32:51Speaker 3: Why?
- 32:51Speaker 8: Why do you say that they saw an interview a
- 32:54Speaker 8: couple of weeks ago, three weeks ago. I think it
- 32:56Speaker 8: was where it sounded like you were maybe maybe we
- 32:59Speaker 8: do something there with what's existing. But that's where I
- 33:04Speaker 8: want to lead with, is what are your thoughts on
- 33:06Speaker 8: the existing infrastructure in that whole continent.
- 33:10Speaker 1: So all the top executives from the Yankees were here tonight,
- 33:13Speaker 1: and the president of the Yankees told me that they
- 33:17Speaker 1: would love to do a fight at Yankee Stadium outside
- 33:19Speaker 1: and all this stuff. It's just we did one fight
- 33:22Speaker 1: outside one time at Abu Dhabi. The heat was a problem,
- 33:25Speaker 1: the humidity was a problem, the bugs were a problem.
- 33:29Speaker 1: I mean, just I don't like doing things in places
- 33:35Speaker 1: or environments that affect the fight, you know, and all
- 33:38Speaker 1: of those things affect a fight, the outcome of a fight.
- 33:43Speaker 1: And again I don't like the viewing experience for the
- 33:46Speaker 1: fans either, So that some.
- 33:49Speaker 8: Of these smaller stadiums, since there aren't any large arenas
- 33:52Speaker 8: currently available in there, is that going to be large
- 33:57Speaker 8: enough to entice the UFC to go, or still waiting
- 34:00Speaker 8: for hopefully someplace to come up with something larger.
- 34:02Speaker 1: I don't know. I know everybody thinks we do everything
- 34:05Speaker 1: for money, but everything isn't about money for me. It's
- 34:08Speaker 1: more about an experience. I never ever want people to
- 34:16Speaker 1: turn off the television and feel the way they felt
- 34:19Speaker 1: last night after they watch a fight. I want the
- 34:22Speaker 1: exact opposite. I want people to be like glad I
- 34:25Speaker 1: stay at home, Glad I watched it, not pissed. I
- 34:27Speaker 1: paid for it, you know. And I especially people who travel,
- 34:32Speaker 1: So there will be people that will fly, buy tickets,
- 34:37Speaker 1: playing tickets, hotel rooms, dinners, shopping tickets to the fight,
- 34:41Speaker 1: and then go there and have a bad experience, whether
- 34:43Speaker 1: it's any of those things, the weather, the wind, the heat,
- 34:46Speaker 1: the humidity, the bugs, I mean, any of that stuff,
- 34:50Speaker 1: I'd like to be able to control everything a little
- 34:53Speaker 1: bit more. I can control everything that happens inside this arena.
- 34:58Speaker 1: There can be some weird shit. The fucking gate broke
- 35:01Speaker 1: and everybody fell on the ground. You know, that kind
- 35:03Speaker 1: of shit will happen here and there. But in all
- 35:05Speaker 1: the years we've been doing it, it's happened one time. Right.
- 35:09Speaker 1: I can't control what happens when that cage door shuts,
- 35:12Speaker 1: and if we're outside, I can't control anything. Nothing, anything
- 35:17Speaker 1: can happen, And I hate that. I don't. I don't
- 35:20Speaker 1: like that feeling.
- 35:21Speaker 8: Sure some would argue that there's plenty of other sports
- 35:25Speaker 8: that live through it and just fine, but people don't.
- 35:28Speaker 1: Get exactly big difference if you're kicking a soccer ball
- 35:32Speaker 1: or you know, fucking hitting home runs whatever, totally different.
- 35:35Speaker 1: I mean they even stop and rain and baseball, right,
- 35:38Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, you can't stop. We can't have a
- 35:41Speaker 1: rain delay.
- 35:43Speaker 3: Why not?
- 35:44Speaker 1: Because it's fucking ridiculous and it will never happen as
- 35:47Speaker 1: long as I'm alive. That's never gonna happen. We're never
- 35:50Speaker 1: gonna have a rain delay in the UFC. Yeah, think
- 35:55Speaker 1: about again last night boxing, Right, these guys will do fight,
- 36:01Speaker 1: then have a fucking podcast for an hour and thirty
- 36:03Speaker 1: minutes before the next fucking fight comes on. Right, we're
- 36:07Speaker 1: gonna do a rain delay. It's never gonna happen. Man.
- 36:10Speaker 1: You know what we do. We go boom boom boom,
- 36:13Speaker 1: boom boom, and all the fights fucking roll all night,
- 36:15Speaker 1: all the shit talks done. You don't need to see
- 36:18Speaker 1: fucking Rosie Perez breaking down fights and and uh.
- 36:24Speaker 3: You know, like a job.
- 36:27Speaker 1: But yes, yeah, have a great night, everybody. Thank you.
