- 1:36But now we're just going to jump ship here and we're going to go
- 1:39right to dial it up. We interrupted.
- 1:42This regularly scheduled hot mix to bring an important news.
- 1:45We got a big broadcast to do here.
- 1:48We're about to dial it up. All right, guys.
- 1:53Welcome back to Dial IT Up. This is the Lightning Round
- 1:56segment where we give Errol five stories that he has not seen yet
- 2:00and he is going to react, dial up a take for the night and one
- 2:05of us respond to what you guys in the back.
- 2:08If you want, we can get Nathan in on this.
- 2:11Some of the interns you can come in if you have anything, we'll
- 2:13call on a couple of. Anyone.
- 2:15To participate perhaps as we go. Errol, you ready for tonight's?
- 2:20Dial it up. Absolutely.
- 2:23Yeah. Here it is starting it off with
- 2:29the big dumper Seattle catcher. Catcher Cal Raleigh hits his
- 2:3331st home run of the season, so he extended his home run lead
- 2:40this weekend with four homers in a series win versus the NL
- 2:43Central's first place Cubs. Raleigh is second in baseball in
- 2:47WAR and WRC Plus at 191 and 5.1 WAR behind Aaron Judge, only
- 2:54meaning second best player in baseball.
- 2:57The Mariners record for home runs before the All Star break
- 2:59is 35 by, of course, Ken Griffey Junior.
- 3:02The Mariners are tied for the last AL Wild Card spot at 39 and
- 3:0730 7 as of earlier today. Here's the quote, 31 home runs.
- 3:11He just continues to March through history here.
- 3:14Mariners manager Dan Wilson, it's fun to watch.
- 3:17He's a smart player. So later in the game, not
- 3:19getting too anxious, not trying out, trying to out of the zone,
- 3:24go out of the zone, not trying to get away from his identity as
- 3:26a hitter and who he is, just staying right where he needs to
- 3:30stay. Errol, the second best player in
- 3:33baseball, was not in the books for this guy at all from
- 3:38anybody. He wasn't going to be considered
- 3:39a top 2 catcher before the year started, let alone top 2IN
- 3:43baseball. It's time for you.
- 3:46To dial it up. Well, it's pretty interesting
- 3:49because he's a catcher. Who would have thought that a
- 3:51catcher before even the All Star break would have 31 home runs?
- 3:55I don't remember the last catcher to do this.
- 3:57It's pretty, it's pretty incredible.
- 4:00And we talked about some of the players that they have on that
- 4:02on that team. Rodriguez is supposed to be
- 4:04their best hitter, their best power hitter.
- 4:06And this guy comes out of nowhere.
- 4:08By the way, starting catcher for Team USA Baseball coming up in
- 4:12the World Championships is Cal Raleigh.
- 4:14So pretty interesting. It's fun to watch.
- 4:18It's something that you wouldn't expect.
- 4:20I wouldn't compare him to Aaron Judge.
- 4:21I wouldn't say that he is obviously having as good a
- 4:25season as Aaron Judge. I know all these statistics
- 4:27would tell you that he is. It's incredible that he's a
- 4:30catcher doing it to me. I I just think it's incredible
- 4:34that he's doing it in Seattle in a big stadium.
- 4:37Aaron Judge is playing in Yankee Stadium.
- 4:39This guy's playing in Seattle where it's a bigger and it's a
- 4:42pitcher stadium and he's doing it in, he's doing in such a
- 4:46great and big stadium. I think it's incredible that
- 4:48he's doing it and he's doing it at this pace.
- 4:51So it's incredible. Yeah, that park is.
- 4:53It's fun to pitch in. He hit his 32nd tonight on pace
- 4:58to challenge Salvy, who has the record.
- 5:02Is he is he in the question? I mean, obviously not, but he's
- 5:06always been able to swing. It's always just been a little
- 5:08long. And you know, obviously as a
- 5:10catcher, I don't know the last time.
- 5:12I think the most was 28 if I recall.
- 5:15I was just looking this up the other day.
- 5:17It's awesome for him. You always have that one guy
- 5:20that's been around and then has that breakout year and it's
- 5:24always fun seeing guys like that, that from everybody that I
- 5:27know that's that knows him, said he's, you know, works hard, is a
- 5:31great dude. So you always got a room for
- 5:33people like that. He's on pace.
- 5:37I mean, before today he did another home run today.
- 5:39He's got a 665 slugging percentage.
- 5:43Errol just slugging. No, I'm not.
- 5:46I'm not. I'm not taking it away from what
- 5:47he's doing right now. 66 home runs is the pace it's.
- 5:50Incredible. He's a catcher.
- 5:52Have we ever seen a catcher do this before in All Star Break?
- 5:55I don't remember the last one to do this, but to me.
- 5:59The record's 48 for a catcher and he's at 35 when we get to
- 6:03the break. I, I, I think it's incredible.
- 6:05I just don't think he's around the same conversation as what
- 6:09Aaron Judge is doing right now for the Yankees.
- 6:12That's all I'm saying. He is, he's having a great year.
- 6:15It's amazing, but he's not Aaron Judge.
- 6:16So he's at like a WRC, which is like the measurement they use.
- 6:20And 100 is an average player. He's sitting at like before
- 6:23tonight was 191 probably another point or two higher now.
- 6:26Aaron Judge is at a 225, so it's a significant a couple of steps
- 6:33up that he's at. Still unbelievable to even have
- 6:36those types of numbers. And you said?
- 6:38It right as a catcher, that just never happens.
- 6:41Let's move on to another one of our favorite stories here on the
- 6:44show. Here comes Caitlin Clark,
- 6:47reportedly. This is a real fascinating one
- 6:49in the news. We talked about her not getting
- 6:52a lot of love and then eventually they helped her out
- 6:54late and now the one girl is getting all this.
- 6:58Love. I love Sophie Cunningham, she's
- 6:59fantastic. Well.
- 7:01My eardrum. Fantastic.
- 7:04But they didn't really help her up right away.
- 7:06I wasn't a fan of it. We talked about that last week,
- 7:08but a story came out today that Caitlin Clark, in a book that
- 7:11came out, reportedly turned down a three on three Olympics invite
- 7:15after she was snubbed for the regular women's team last year.
- 7:20So the story is Bleacher Reports.
- 7:22This is on Bleach Report. Zach Picard reports that Caitlin
- 7:25Clark was invited to join the women's three on three last
- 7:27year. But turn it down.
- 7:28This was Clark after she was unceremoniously snubbed by Team
- 7:32USA and coach Cheryl Reeve, who I believe is the Lynx coach
- 7:35Speedy according to a new book on her game, Caitlin Clark and
- 7:39the Revolution of Women's Sports.
- 7:40Reeve was also accused in the book of singling out Clark as an
- 7:43example due to the league's preferential treatment of her
- 7:47since she was drafted. Reeve in response has attacked
- 7:50Brendan in the media since publishing.
- 7:53Clark was the first team as you know WNBA selection despite the
- 7:57snub and rookie of the year in her first season in the league.
- 8:02The women's three on three team won bronze without her Errol.
- 8:07Dial it up. Who the hell is Cheryl Reef?
- 8:10That's what I want to know. Kayla Clark is the biggest thing
- 8:13in in college basketball, right? I mean, what's the biggest thing
- 8:16in college women's basketball? She's the biggest thing right
- 8:19now in WNBA basketball. And she gets beaten up all the
- 8:22time. I see a flat on her ass every
- 8:24single game. Still goes out there, still
- 8:27plays hard, still plays above what you would expect a
- 8:31superstar player to do. And I think it's pathetic that
- 8:34anybody is questioning what she did or even if she turned down
- 8:38three on three basketball. This girl is the best thing that
- 8:42could ever happen to women's basketball.
- 8:46And for some reason, Cheryl Reeve or anybody that writes
- 8:49about this lady or girl or female has some kind of hatred
- 8:54for somebody that is bringing in money, advertisement,
- 8:57sponsorship for a WNBA that was going down the friggin drain.
- 9:02That's where it was going. So all these people that want to
- 9:06say that Caitlin Clark is a joke, doesn't belong here,
- 9:09doesn't belong. Hey, let's go look at her
- 9:11numbers right now. Let's go look right now.
- 9:14If the season were to end, she's probably the MVP of the WNBA.
- 9:18It's despicable, it's disgusting, and it just tells
- 9:21you one thing. Cheryl Reeve, I don't care what
- 9:24she decided to turn down. She could turn down three on
- 9:27three basketball. She could turn down playing for
- 9:29USA Basketball. She belong there.
- 9:32She should have been a part of that team as well as Angel Ree,
- 9:36Angel Reece. Every single one of these girls
- 9:38should be respecting this Caitlin Clark female who has
- 9:43been the most dominant force in women's basketball.
- 9:47And take this, she is the biggest thing we've seen come
- 9:50out of professional sports in about 10 years.
- 9:54Yes, you heard it from me. She is the biggest thing to come
- 9:59out of professional sports. That goes for hockey, that goes
- 10:02for the NBA, that goes for the NFL.
- 10:05This girl has going is going to set the pace for the future of
- 10:10women's sports and professional sports.
- 10:13Shame on Cheryl Reeve, shame on everyone that doesn't respect
- 10:18this woman for what she does. Yeah, Following up off of that,
- 10:21I just want to say playing in front of USA Basketball, playing
- 10:25at the Helms of Olympic basketball, somebody best
- 10:28players in the whole entire world from all parts of the of
- 10:31all parts of the world, different countries or whatnot.
- 10:34Caitlin Clark. I mean, look at someone like
- 10:36with Isaiah Thomas with the whole situation, right?
- 10:38You didn't make the Dream team. Now, of course, a lot of things
- 10:40go into that with them, of course, him and Michael Jordan
- 10:42having bad blood and whatnot. Whole point is, is that as a
- 10:46player, you somewhat do remember the snub.
- 10:49And in a way, I feel like they said, OK, well, you didn't make
- 10:51it to Caitlin Clark. Here's a consolation prize.
- 10:53And you can be on the three on three.
- 10:55And if you even look at the girls that are.
- 10:56Well, they didn't say that. They they said she turned down.
- 10:59After after being snubbed from the US Olympics.
- 11:02She decided to turn it. Down exactly.
- 11:03So in a way I feel like it's sort of they're kind of giving
- 11:06her a consolation prize, which I agree.
- 11:08I wouldn't take that only for the sense like I agree with you
- 11:12100% should have been a lot for the USA women's basketball team,
- 11:15not the three on three, which the three on three is of course
- 11:17a good achievement on its own as well too.
- 11:19But it's not the USA women's basketball team that is so
- 11:22highlighted and so marketed during the the Women's Olympics
- 11:25Basketball. By the way, Caitlin Clark's
- 11:27jersey right now is within the top ten.
- 11:30I think it's top 7 right now in all the sports sold jerseys,
- 11:35college and professional when it comes to the WNBA.
- 11:39So eat it, Cheryl Reeves. That's all all I'm going to say
- 11:42about that. Eat it, suck it, dry it speedy.
- 11:46You know all about DRY. No, that's Nathan's department.
- 11:49Well, you got a spit, but you don't do that, you do a dry,
- 11:52right? What do a dry do?
- 11:56A watch dry. That's a.
- 11:57Good thing. So inappropriate.
- 11:59Do a watch dry. We're talking about women in
- 12:02this segment and you go down that road, it's just.
- 12:04Inappropriate. I just asked.
- 12:05Them. Oh man, the Mets things are
- 12:09going the wrong direction right now in Queens.
- 12:12They had to demote catcher Francisco Alvarez to AAA.
- 12:17The story goes the Mets who won even though Alvarez hit a home
- 12:21run in a 11/4 win Saturday night, snapping A7 game losing
- 12:26streak. They demoted the struggling
- 12:28former top prospect AAA Syracuse.
- 12:31If you remember, he was a top prospect in all of baseball for
- 12:33a time in 2022. Had 25 homers as a rookie in
- 12:372023 season. He's only batting 236 with 319
- 12:43on base and a 333 slugging. He has only three homers this
- 12:47year. The bigger problem is is usually
- 12:50surefire defense has become pretty bad.
- 12:54He's had this injury with the handmade bone in the preseason
- 12:58that cost him early part of the year.
- 13:00Here's a quote. Not an easy decision.
- 13:02It's something that we do not take lightly.
- 13:04There's a lot of potential there.
- 13:05When he's playing up to his potential, he's got a chance to
- 13:08be a pretty special player and we're going to need him, expect
- 13:11him to be back. But right now we feel like it's
- 13:15it's best for him to go down there and get reps.
- 13:18That's Mets manager Carlos Mendoza.
- 13:22Pretty unexpected for someone who a lot of people had pegged
- 13:25as a breakout candidate this year.
- 13:27Errol. Dial it up.
- 13:30First of all, the Mets are only a game and a half out of first
- 13:34place, so calm down. Everything we've seen teams go
- 13:37into these spurts where they're losing, they lose a multiple
- 13:40amount of games and, and everybody, oh, we're going to
- 13:43have to point our finger at somebody.
- 13:44It's not Juan Soto now, it's Alvarez.
- 13:47I'm going to speak up and I'm going to stick up for the Mets
- 13:49fans. I, I don't think Alvarez is the
- 13:52problem right now. I think right now they're
- 13:54pitching is falling apart. We expected this.
- 13:57They should have went after pitching in the offseason.
- 14:00They went all in on Soto and they didn't go after Max Freed.
- 14:03He was the guy you should have gone for.
- 14:06And now the Mets are eating it. They're eating their words now.
- 14:08We'll see how it works out for them.
- 14:10It's not. It hasn't been pretty over the
- 14:12last couple of weeks. I don't think it's all about
- 14:15Alvarez. Everybody has been in spurts of
- 14:17not hitting. Nimmo has been the only on and
- 14:20off hitter for this team. I Soto, you know, Francisco
- 14:24Lindor and then you have arguably one of the best power
- 14:27hitters in baseball. So I I just think that the Mets
- 14:30just need to figure out what's going on with this rotation and
- 14:33even their bullpens been up and down over the last couple of
- 14:36weeks. I just I I don't understand why
- 14:38you have to point a finger out how to catcher, Who the hell
- 14:41cares if the catcher's hitting? He's batting 236 and his
- 14:44defense. I mean, the Yankees have had bad
- 14:47defense since Jorge Posada. I mean, they go on and off
- 14:50bring, bringing these guys, these veteran players on and off
- 14:52because these guys just can't cut it.
- 14:54Wells has been the best guy from their farm system as far as
- 14:59defense is concerned in a very long time.
- 15:02It it's really been since Jorge Posada.
- 15:04The Yankees just can't find these guys that could do both
- 15:07things. I, I think the Yankees have it.
- 15:09So I, I don't know if it's Alvarez, he'll be back.
- 15:11Met fans don't worry about it. I think they'll figure things
- 15:14out. The Mets are a lot better than
- 15:15they think people think that they are.
- 15:18They're in a hard division. Philadelphia is by far of the
- 15:20best team in that division when it comes to all around talent.
- 15:24I do think one way or another. But by the way, I like the
- 15:27Braves too. But the Braves can't stay
- 15:28healthy. But the Mets will figure it out.
- 15:30It's not Alvarez, it's it's ridiculous.
- 15:32Yeah, again, I don't know if it's a money problem as much as
- 15:34it is like a developmental issue because it's a lot of young
- 15:36players struggling all at once. The enters of the ninth year,
- 15:39last year, he's been bad. This year, Beatty had two good
- 15:41weeks and he's hasn't been great either.
- 15:43I also think it's also the previous regime with Buck
- 15:45Showalter, the way they, Buck Showalter and Billy Eppler, the
- 15:48way they handled Alvarez in the beginning, calling him up in
- 15:50September, like right at the end of the season, the Mets were
- 15:52trying to fight for the division.
- 15:53I think he lost a lot of confidence from a consistency
- 15:56standpoint that way. And I mean, the rest of his
- 15:58career has really just been injury issued, injury issues
- 16:01when it comes to him being a bulkier catcher, him trying to
- 16:03do a lot. I think as well.
- 16:05I saw something where there he's trying to like over pitch frame
- 16:07because that's what he's been good at.
- 16:09And it's hurting the rest of his defense, too, which I think.
- 16:11Do you think he's the problem? Right now, no, I think it's all
- 16:14the young players. It's like it's all the young
- 16:16players all at once. It's just a developmental
- 16:18organizational issue. Again, I don't think it's just
- 16:20this regime. I think it's the previous one
- 16:22too. And what?
- 16:24You both, Jabba, you're a professional athlete.
- 16:26You play baseball, professional baseball for a long time.
- 16:29Goody did, too, and you're not playing well.
- 16:31What do you usually do? You let him play out of it.
- 16:34That's what you do. You don't send him down.
- 16:35You let him play out of. This guy's a professional
- 16:37athlete. This guy is has been a good
- 16:40player in the in an MLB and at the top level.
- 16:43Why are you going to send him down and make him feel low about
- 16:45himself? This could hurt him.
- 16:47I don't like this. I think this is a bad move by
- 16:49the New York Mets. Yeah.
- 16:51It's it's tough because you look at it two ways.
- 16:55Sometimes a change of scenery is what you need.
- 16:58In other times you need to go down and actually work on
- 17:00something. I mean, perfect example, they
- 17:02sent Roy Holiday all the way down to extended spring training
- 17:06and look what happened to him. So there's every situation is
- 17:10different and it kind of just goes to what they need or what
- 17:16you think they need. And if that's what they felt, I
- 17:19don't think it was a money thing whatsoever.
- 17:22I think it's a mental thing with him mostly right now.
- 17:26Yeah, and you would know more about the Mets than I do,
- 17:29because they suck. But it's not really like they
- 17:32have an obvious other solution to.
- 17:33Catch. Do not.
- 17:34Suck. It's an obvious obvious there's
- 17:37OPS collectively as a catcher, it seems like Tomas Neato the.
- 17:40Mets are right now. Their record is 46 and 33.
- 17:43They're playing. They're not.
- 17:45They haven't been good in the last 10 games.
- 17:46They're 1:00 and 9:00. But a game and a half out of
- 17:49first place, they don't suck. I.
- 17:52Also think there's your last game.
- 17:53Job I also think there's also some carryover confidence or
- 17:55lack of confidence. His play, he had a lot, a lot of
- 17:57playoff woes the second series and even the NLCS against the
- 18:00dot. I've never heard of the skin.
- 18:01So I think maybe some of that kind of carried over into this
- 18:03year. So I think a lot of it is
- 18:05mental. I don't think it's ability wise
- 18:06right now. The arbitration years don't kick
- 18:08in for him until next year, so they don't have to worry about
- 18:10any. Costing him.
- 18:11Anything. I don't think he'll be down.
- 18:13For. A long time, maybe just to the
- 18:15All Star. Break and then he'll.
- 18:16Be back after that because they don't.
- 18:17At least her ends is a little bit of a spark, but it's not
- 18:20really a great solution either. It could.
- 18:22It could be a time thing too. Maybe.
- 18:26I think part of it is they want him to get regular reps and
- 18:30they're going to have to bench him.
- 18:31It's. Going to hurt him.
- 18:32It's going. To hurt him.
- 18:34I don't know man, it's a weird one.
- 18:35I thought that the numbers weren't so bad that they
- 18:38wouldn't let him figure it out up here.
- 18:40That's why usually when you're in the mid 6 hundreds with OPS,
- 18:45you know you don't have the power.
- 18:45Maybe they need to change his launch angle or something like
- 18:48that with the the bat, but that's usually not.
- 18:49I don't think it's all offense with I mean, I think it may, I
- 18:52think. Yeah, it could be feeling the
- 18:53stress plan in New York. So they could want to might want
- 18:56to give him a blow. I was.
- 18:57Gonna say goody you know is do you think it's something like
- 18:59that or do you think maybe? They're going to retool.
- 19:01A swing or something? I mean, playing in New York is a
- 19:04different B, so maybe he's just feeling a little, you know.
- 19:06You know, I don't know what the guy's feeling, but.
- 19:09You know. With younger guys like that,
- 19:12sometimes it's good just to give them a little bit of, you know,
- 19:14a little bit of a blow and go down to AAA where they can play
- 19:18a little without without as much stress.
- 19:22Play free, find the love of the game again.
- 19:23And then they'll be he'll bounce right back up, go down there,
- 19:27knock, knock a few AAA pitches around the park a little bit and
- 19:30then come back up. Sometimes it's a confidence
- 19:32thing. Maybe he's lacking confidence
- 19:33and so you want him to go build that down there.
- 19:36Or maybe there's a hitting coach in AAA that he really worked,
- 19:38you know, that he worked with that he really likes that he
- 19:40wants to see change your launch angle, whatever made the case
- 19:43may be, you know, pitch selection or whatever.
- 19:46But I mean, it's not uncommon to see that.
- 19:50And as Java said, it could be a time thing as well.
- 19:53So, you know, whatever it may be, I wouldn't expect him to be
- 19:56down there for too long. And if it is a longer stint than
- 19:59if there's probably underlying issues that we don't know about.
- 20:01Milwaukee did it with Jackson Churio at the beginning of the
- 20:04year for like a week and then he came back up and now he's been
- 20:06great. He had just a really bad start
- 20:07to the year. Hopefully it's the same kind of
- 20:09thing. You.
- 20:10Just you. Just hope.
- 20:13You just hope he doesn't turn out as like Jesus Montero.
- 20:16Remember that turn out plus they they hope they I hope he doesn't
- 20:22turn out like that. I need a blow pop.
- 20:25All right, well, let's move on to the next story.
- 20:27Moving into the other side of the city.
- 20:30And we got shoeless Jazz Chisholm and I spelled his name
- 20:33wrong on the graphic. That's terrible.
- 20:36Here it is. Well, you know, you probably
- 20:38prefer it that way. The Yankees for some reason,
- 20:40played at 11:30 in the morning on Sunday.
- 20:43That's. My guy right there, Chaz.
- 20:45Let's go, Chaz. All right, Nathan took place
- 20:49from Jazz Chisholm on a DJ Lemay you single to left.
- 20:54Jazz was standing on 2nd put on The Jets.
- 20:56As he rounded third, he lost his left shoe as on the throw from
- 21:02Colton, Cowser took the rookie catcher Maverick Hanley up the
- 21:06line. He got his arm caught trying to
- 21:08tag. Jazz got hurt, he dropped the
- 21:11ball. Jazz's other shoe flew off in
- 21:14the collision and scored after gathering himself without any
- 21:19shoes on. The Yankees would come back and
- 21:21win 42. I saw a lot of firsts, said
- 21:23Aaron Judge. 1130 game to a guy losing both his shoes.
- 21:27I've seen one cleat kind of running, but not both like that.
- 21:31That was awesome. Jazz has hit 350 since returning
- 21:36from a strained oblique with 11. RB is asked whether he should be
- 21:39called Shoeless Jazz. Chisholm.
- 21:41He responded. Wow, is that how Shoeless Joe
- 21:44got his name? He ran out of his shoe how he
- 21:46got his name? Oh, so he wasn't wearing shoes
- 21:48because, famously, Shoeless Joe Jackson didn't lose his shoes.
- 21:51He didn't play with shoes on because he felt he could hit
- 21:54better without him. Besides that, Errol, we got a
- 21:58new nickname or you're going to stay with your favorite.
- 22:02Dial it up. Shoeless Jazz Jism is his
- 22:06nickname. I could give, I could give a
- 22:08crap. If he's batting 350, do it in
- 22:10the playoffs. Do it in the big game.
- 22:12He hasn't. And until he does that, I don't
- 22:14give a crap. He could steal bases with no
- 22:16shoes, He could steal with. He could steal bases with his
- 22:19pants down and completely bare ass.
- 22:21I could give a crap. Go play the game and play it
- 22:26hard. That's what you want to hear.
- 22:27That's the Yankee way, and if they don't win a championship,
- 22:31it's because of the one and only shoeless jazz Chism.
- 22:34I don't care about what he does in the regular season.
- 22:37I want to see if I want to see him back 350 in the playoffs.
- 22:40That's what I want to see. We got a guy like Gleber Torres
- 22:42over there in Detroit. We see what he's done in the
- 22:44playoffs. He's been a pretty good hit in
- 22:46the playoffs. Instead, the Yankees decided to
- 22:48deal with this idiot sitting over there dancing around with
- 22:52his nice big long chain and enjoying his damn prancing and
- 22:56dancing. You want to.
- 22:57Talk about it. You might want somebody else to
- 22:58hit in the playoffs two there, Mr. If you're going to put it on
- 23:01him, you might would have put. It on I'm not I'm not I listen I
- 23:06bust his chops too and go look at the drop go look at the drop
- 23:09that we have on our intro until he hits in the playoffs, that's
- 23:13what he's going to be looked at as a guy that doesn't hit in the
- 23:15playoffs. Aaron Judge is one of those
- 23:17guys. Alex Rodriguez was that until he
- 23:19did it in 2009. The fact is I don't want to hear
- 23:23about shoeless Jazz, Chisholm or whatever the hell he is and what
- 23:26he does in a regular season. There's 162 games, a lot of
- 23:29crazy things that we've seen over the years as we've seen
- 23:31Jose Canseco give up a home run when he hits him in the in the
- 23:35back of his head all the way, you know, over the over the
- 23:38fence. I don't care.
- 23:39Go do it when it counts. Jazz jism could be shoeless jazz
- 23:45scrotum, I don't care. So, Errol, while you were, I
- 23:50mean, you were caught up and we have the picture of you being
- 23:53caught up on your trip in this jail cell right here on the
- 23:57screen with the sharks biting at your feet.
- 24:01But we had Gary Phillips from the New York Daily News Yankees
- 24:04beat writer on on Thursday and we talked about Jazz and how
- 24:08he's there might be some misconceptions around him in the
- 24:11league. And he said that from everything
- 24:13that the reputation he had coming from Miami couldn't be
- 24:17further from the truth. He's been a total pro.
- 24:19He's been great in the IS. He a Yankee guy?
- 24:22Is he a Yankee guy? He said that he doesn't root for
- 24:26the. That's a lie.
- 24:27It was a lie. He says he's he's put, he
- 24:30stopped doing it when he was a kid, which by the way, it was
- 24:33only a couple of years ago, but that's a whole new story.
- 24:35He's a young man liar. He's about speed, his age well
- 24:39liar regard regardless, they said that he was a good player
- 24:43in the clubhouse and if he's going to hit 350 and play good
- 24:45defense and run the bases and. Like.
- 24:47I'll take him every single. Time good.
- 24:51He could take him, take him with his shoes, take him with his
- 24:54pants off. I can give a crap until he does
- 24:57it in the playoffs and he shuts his mouth and stops wearing his
- 24:59long chains, chains and dancing and prancing around when he
- 25:02shouldn't be. I I by the way, why do I always
- 25:05see jazz jism at these clubs in New York City?
- 25:08Every one time I look, a post goes up.
- 25:11This guy's dancing and prancing around.
- 25:13I don't want to see this guy at the clubs.
- 25:15I just want to see him play baseball.
- 25:17OK, That jizz A maniac, that's what I'm going to call him.
- 25:20You want to give him a nickname and all?
- 25:22You jizz A maniacs. Go enjoy yourself.
- 25:25Jizz a maniacs. Is this in the leader of this
- 25:29group? Jizz a maniac.
- 25:31That would be a great T-shirt right there.
- 25:33Jizz a maniacs. Yeah, there you go.
- 25:35Enjoy. I hope everybody enjoy.
- 25:37Fans, but also fans of some strange behavior.
- 25:40Guys, we got one last story coming up here, Tom Brady and
- 25:45Eli Manning. Tom Brady won $1,000,000 in the
- 25:51inaugural Fanatics Games held in the city this past weekend.
- 25:55Tom Brady defeated both athletes and fans in a series of
- 25:58competitions, first ever Fanatics Games in New York City.
- 26:02Brady said he would give $5000 to each of the 50 fans who
- 26:05competed and donate the rest of charity.
- 26:07UFC fighter Justin Gatje was second and won a won a Ferrari
- 26:11A12. GTSA fan came in 3rd and won a
- 26:14rare LeBron rookie card that Brady gave him $250,000 on the
- 26:19spot with a signed Brady card in Jersey.
- 26:22James Harden came in fourth, Eli Manning came in fifth, and they
- 26:27were the only other athletes finishing in the top ten besides
- 26:33my. On your.
- 26:34Face obviously I'm going to ask you what place do you think you
- 26:38would finish in the Fanatics games when we try them next year
- 26:43for the show and do it live from over there if we can I want to
- 26:47know how you're going to explain it when you.
- 26:50Dial it up. It's pretty simple.
- 26:54I could give a crap, Liz. Tom Brady could give me 500,000
- 26:58two million dollars, $3,000,000. Thank you, Tom.
- 27:01I don't think it means anything going to a Fanatics.
- 27:04First of all, we weren't even invited.
- 27:06And if we were invited, I would go over there and what I would
- 27:10try to do is shove a football up his ass.
- 27:12OK? That's what I want to see.
- 27:13I want to see Tom Brady take a football up his ass.
- 27:17I don't care if James Harden threw a football or did whatever
- 27:20he did. I don't care if Justin Gagey was
- 27:23out there winning a Ferrari. All I care about is Tom Brady
- 27:27looking like a complete juice ball idiot.
- 27:30That's what I think. I don't care what he gives us.
- 27:34He can give us 506 hundred 700,000.
- 27:37How about invest into this show? Tommy Boy.
- 27:40Tommy boy, I want your money. I want it right.
- 27:43I'm not playing a game that I know I'm going to lose.
- 27:45And Eli, stop it, stop it. You'll only win big games and
- 27:50you need to. What you need to do is take that
- 27:53football and shove it up Tommy Boy's behind.
- 27:56Oh, right, Speedy. Let's go.
- 27:58Just a maniac. Let's go just a maniacs.
- 28:02Nathan, are you going to play with yourself after this?
- 28:05All righty. All right, here's my first of
- 28:07all shout out to Michael Rubin putting this all together for
- 28:12the first two years and breaking news.
- 28:14I got to go back off this one. I was glad to be part of the
- 28:17first one, but this one what a great breaking news.
- 28:22Goody has no woody go there for me covering getting some good
- 28:27content breaking news. This one this for me.
- 28:32If I was competing in those games, I would finish second or
- 28:35third in my opinion. I'm I'm I'm competitive, so I I
- 28:39can't wait for the next one over.
- 28:40I'm going to make sure I'm going to get all of you guys down
- 28:43there. Did you go?
- 28:44Did you go? I didn't go this year,
- 28:46unfortunately, but I'm going to I'm going to get you guys, all
- 28:48of you guys to call breaking news next year at New York.
- 28:52And we're going to, I'm going to make sure our podcast is there
- 28:54too next year live from there. We got to compete in the games
- 28:58as a team and also I'm trying to bring a couple of players with
- 29:03us next year. So for example, John Dobson, we
- 29:06were trying to bring him to fanatic fist this year.
- 29:08I love Lisa Ann, but we we we fit into my rear end is burning
- 29:14this year. So next year we're my 12 there's
- 29:16because. Nathan, make it happen, bro.
- 29:20Make it happen, Nath. Yeah.
- 29:21But I'm planning on, I'm making I'm I'm going to make sure that
- 29:24all this goes at the same time next year.
- 29:28OK, it's cool they do that and the school is close by us being.
- 29:32Fish is not a painting arrow. Type of a show, by the way, that
- 29:40surprise Eli Manning, top five that should be in the Hall of
- 29:42Fame. And actually, I don't know if
- 29:44you guys told the painting, his name is Cody Sable.
- 29:47He was a fanatic fest. He does a really cool painting,
- 29:51like fast painting. He throws it on the board, and
- 29:55so he makes hope. Not.
- 29:57Nathan, has he ever done a painting of your blue blazer
- 29:59bar? No, no, no.
- 30:00But I reached out to him about coming on the show here, so
- 30:03let's see. Selling.
- 30:05This nonsense a bunch. Of random.
- 30:09People all right, guys. Well, that has been yet another
- 30:11great episode of. Dial it up.
- 30:18Anyways, when we got to do our Golf Club of the day, go ahead.
- 30:23This deserves a golf clap. No doubt.
- 30:26Golf clap, golf clap. All right, ladies and gentlemen,
- 30:30our golf clap of the day goes to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
- 30:36Oh, I can't wait for this one. Yes ladies and gentlemen, they
- 30:39finally signed the number two overall pick, Travis Hunter for
- 30:44four years. Yes, rookie contract worth about
- 30:4846, $1,000,000. Why it's why is this my golf
- 30:52clap, ladies and gentlemen? Because of for an organization
- 30:55that absolutely falls flat in their face, absolutely falls
- 30:58flat on more faces than one, including a face that looks like
- 31:03a gremlin. And for a guy who I think is one
- 31:06of the most overrated players to come out of the draft in about
- 31:0820 years, who gets $46,000,000 and not a quarterback tells me
- 31:14one thing about the organization.
- 31:16So blue dumbasses. And why is $46 million going to
- 31:21make this organization look bad? Well I don't know, ask Travis
- 31:25Hunter after the season. So my golf clap of the day goes
- 31:29to the one and only Jacksonville Jaguars as the stupid
- 31:33organization lays the smack if and gives this idiot 46 mil.
- 31:38Ladies and gentlemen, the golf clap of the day goes to the one
- 31:42and only stupid Jacksonville Jaguars.
- 31:45What a wonderful move by that organization.
- 31:47How stupid could you be? You pay a guy that's not a
- 31:50quarterback a #2 pick overall pick $46 million.
- 31:55I would say that that I remember Zach Wilson, The Jets gave Zach
- 31:58Wilson less money. I think he got like 36 or $38
- 32:02million and he was the number two.
- 32:04He was the quarter second pick in the the first round and he
- 32:07was a quarterback. And this guy's not even a
- 32:09quarterback. He's making almost seven, $8
- 32:12million more than Zach Wilson. I'm not saying Zach Wilson was
- 32:14any good, but this guy's not even a quarterback.
- 32:17He's making $46 million. Makes no sense.
- 32:20That just shows you how stupid the organization is and and I'm
- 32:24sure that family and Travis Hunter is very happy because he
- 32:27just robbed an organization for 46 and a half million dollars.
- 32:30All right. Ladies and gentlemen, our final
- 32:32segment of the night is what's that smell?
- 32:35Hold up, what is that smell? What's that smell?
- 32:43Wow, you. Don't see that every day,
- 32:45Speedy. Have you smelt my farts tonight?
- 32:47Have they smelt? I mean, I've been laying one
- 32:50out. I had salty foods on that
- 32:52cruise. And I, I will say this, I stayed
- 32:55away from the Indian food. No offense, Nathan, I know
- 32:58you're listening. I tried these Indian lamb
- 33:00meatballs. I almost threw up.
- 33:03I I really almost barfed. It had Curry.
- 33:06Whatever. What's that?
- 33:07What's that crap? You definitely wouldn't like.
- 33:09Oh, it was, it was horrible, man.
- 33:12I'm sorry, Nathan, Stay the hell away from lamb meatballs.
- 33:17I said brilliantly when he tried it, she almost threw up too.
- 33:20It was bad. It was really, really bad.
- 33:23So the whoever was cooking that and all the chefs that were
- 33:26there, Oh my God. And it stunk.
- 33:28I thought it was meatballs. Then they tried to tie it up
- 33:30with BBQ. I tried to put something up,
- 33:32man, it was just horrible. I'll never do that again.
- 33:35I I was dude, I was sitting on the bowl for at least. 20 days
- 33:39for honey mustard. Oh my God, I had that too.
- 33:41By the way, they actually had good honey mustard, so I tried
- 33:44that at the last day. I had my yes, I had the chicken
- 33:47fingers at the last day. Yes, yes, I had a goodie.
- 33:51It was actually pretty good. But I tried all different stuff.
- 33:53At least it was your last day. Yeah, it was.
- 33:55It was like I had a lot of chicken figures, by the way, but
- 33:58I didn't eat as much as I thought I was.
- 34:00But I don't know. Whatever they were putting in
- 34:02that food, it made me just let them go.
- 34:04And I let it go, man. It was like I said, the kid, he
- 34:07was like up to my ass, standing right behind me, trying to run
- 34:10right through me. I let it go.
- 34:12It was actually pretty funny. Anyways, so if you guys don't
- 34:15know what's that smell and if it does smell, so be it.
- 34:19We're going to give you stories that we think is, you know,
- 34:24interesting stories in sports or in the world, and we're going to
- 34:27tell you what it smells like. So tonight we're going to go
- 34:30with Speedy Fish, Tommy Jabba, Goody me.
- 34:37Here we go. All right, I'll start it off
- 34:40with more tweets or more, more stories from the LJ, the LeBron
- 34:44James Association. But this times that it is stuff
- 34:46with him making tweets and then posting the wrong pictures in
- 34:50them. So LeBron James tweeted in in
- 34:56conversation with what we talked about last week, Fish and
- 34:59Indiana Fever players not protecting Caitlin Clark.
- 35:02But he decides to do it by not even including a picture of her,
- 35:06but of a former wrestler, Billy Kidman, and a former WCW
- 35:11wrestler who's now AWWE producer.
- 35:14Instead of putting Caitlin Clark in the photo, putting him in the
- 35:17photo. And then Caitlin Clark responds.
- 35:19You realize that's Billy Kidman, not me.
- 35:21So what does that smell like? It smells like the wrestler Pat
- 35:24McAfee, as sweaty as he is, and LeBron James slamming Stephen A
- 35:30Smith in a boat size bottle or boat size of Errol's cruise of
- 35:37chicken Curry while Stephen A Smith tries to play free sample
- 35:40or solitaire at the same time. Wow, Speedy's the.
- 35:45Always the most. Allowed.
- 35:46I have no idea what the hell you.
- 35:47Just I have no idea what he was saying.
- 35:49He brought in Stephen A Smith. You miss Stephen A Smith getting
- 35:52caught playing Spider solitaire on his phone during game four of
- 35:56the. NBA Finals.
- 35:57How wonderful. That was a what's that smell
- 36:01last week, But my what's that smell is just going to be
- 36:04focused on the pregame show and the same Stephen A Smith in the
- 36:09NBA Finals. Mercifully, I think this is the
- 36:12end of the TNT boys are going over there.
- 36:15But that group with Malika Andrews leading it with your
- 36:18favorite Bob Myers talking with Shyam Sharania, who I would
- 36:22argue has a little bit too much exposure on television right
- 36:26now. He's certainly not woes, in my
- 36:29opinion. But and then and then you have
- 36:32everyone's favorite Kendrick Perkins mixing it up.
- 36:35It might be the worst show. But how do you pronounce his
- 36:38name Shania? What is his name Shania.
- 36:40Shania. Shania he is.
- 36:42It's not even that. It's like they don't get along.
- 36:44He's the prettiest version of Nathan.
- 36:49He's definitely like pretty boy version of Nathan.
- 36:51I think there's some of that, some truth to that.
- 36:54I think Nathan might might have, you know, some spicier food and.
- 36:58Hotter. I need a bloparania.
- 37:00Does on that show, because that show is just weird.
- 37:03Stephen A Smith you can clear doesn't get along with.
- 37:05Bob Myers doesn't get along with.
- 37:07Perkins, I don't think. Perkins gets along with anyone
- 37:10other than Malika Andrews. It's a weird show.
- 37:13Thank God those guys are back. And then you get to the Hall of
- 37:16Famer Mike Breen dealing with Richard Jefferson, who
- 37:20apparently doesn't get along with those guys at all.
- 37:23And there was a moment in game seven of the finals where Art
- 37:26Richard Jefferson says something.
- 37:28He's like, no, nobody, I'm just going to say this, that that
- 37:32literally happened on the air of game seven in the finals.
- 37:36That's embarrassing, guys. I'd be embarrassed if we had
- 37:40that. I'd be a lot less embarrassed if
- 37:44I had a a real cute child in a spider man outfit, you know,
- 37:47saying hi to everybody. What's up man?
- 37:50How we doing? Say hi, we.
- 37:52Just want to say hi. He's waving his hair.
- 37:55Baseball's awesome, right? Go Tigers.
- 37:57Get Get Me Out of here. Get Me Out of here.
- 38:01Man, go Tigers. Bagel ho all.
- 38:06Right. Go Tigers.
- 38:07Either way, what does it smell like?
- 38:09They call me the ladies man and Mr. Still your girl you.
- 38:11Might be you might like this. The smelliest aquatic animal is
- 38:16the sea lion because their farts contain a diet of fish and
- 38:21squid. So what is it?
- 38:22What does that show smell like? Sea lion farts?
- 38:26Now what if the sea lion were to eat the Indian food?
- 38:29That herilates let me go next, let me go next, or kind of that.
- 38:31So we're kind of already smelling.
- 38:32Sea lion farts then basically all.
- 38:37Right. That's that's great.
- 38:38To hear. All right, let me.
- 38:40Go my what's that smell? And I just pulled this up on
- 38:44Twitter a second ago. I thought this was pretty
- 38:46interesting because it has to do with Florida and alligators.
- 38:48I thought clearly I was. Wrong.
- 38:51What Florida's Alligator Alcatraz Detention Center has
- 38:55been approved. The Department of Homeland
- 38:57Security has approved Florida's plan to construct Alligator
- 39:00Alcatraz, a 30 mile square mile detention facility for
- 39:06undocumented immigrants in the Everglades.
- 39:09The site leverages the natural environment surrounded by
- 39:12alligators and pythons for security, reducing the need for
- 39:15extensive perimeter fencing. Pretty awesome, I guess.
- 39:19Construction's underway with an operation timeline of 30 to 60
- 39:23days, the fastest anything's ever been done here in Florida.
- 39:26The facility aims to house thousands of criminal aliens,
- 39:28sparking debates over its environment, impact and the
- 39:31ethical considerations. Pretty interesting.
- 39:36That smells a whole lot like Ariel Slam Curry meatball.
- 39:40Thoughts on this four day cruise?
- 39:44I like anal. Sounds like like Florida's
- 39:47version of Jurassic Park for for for people.
- 39:50My rear end is burning. I'm gonna take this little guy
- 39:54out of bed. Go ahead man, we love you.
- 39:56What do you say? Say goodnight.
- 39:57Goodnight. Little one.
- 39:59Goodnight, Tigers. They go.
- 40:01Tigers say go. Tigers won't go to bed.
- 40:04He's not. Feeling.
- 40:07It he's like, go to hell, go to hell.
- 40:11We'll see y'all all. Right.
- 40:13Good. I'll talk to you, man.
- 40:14All right. All right.
- 40:16Goody, he shows up. We love Goody.
- 40:18We love it all, right. All right, so my turn being
- 40:22next, I'm going to actually kick it back to what's Speedy and
- 40:26Fish. We're on the topic of NBA and
- 40:29I'm going to talk about the NBA Championship hats and jerseys
- 40:33that are now on sale for the Oklahoma City Thunder.
- 40:37As we all know, they are the Champs.
- 40:38However, the hats and jerseys that are on sale, the hats that
- 40:42they gave to the Thunder are absolute dog shit and they look
- 40:47they easily look like someone someone just easily went on
- 40:51PowerPoint. I think fish with the amazing
- 40:53graphics that he makes, could have made a way better hat or
- 40:55designed for that. And I just I I kind of want to
- 40:59rehash what I also mentioned as a past previous.
- 41:01What's that smell of just how this this season and kind of, I
- 41:04guess the past couple of seasons hasn't really felt like ANBA
- 41:07final setting. You know, you has to have the
- 41:10court. They used to be decked out, used
- 41:11to have the players in the environment.
- 41:13They used to just look a lot more like ANBA finals, like an
- 41:16NBA championship, like this is the last series to be played.
- 41:20However, it didn't really come with that.
- 41:22You know, you had an NBA court this season in game one or two.
- 41:25I think with the Thunder that they had little clipart NBA
- 41:27Finals that even took away like midway through the game.
- 41:30So it's really, it's really frustrating looking at these NBA
- 41:33quality hats go down and go down quality.
- 41:36And it kind of smells like Tyrese Halliburton's father in
- 41:41his panties after having released a huge mud pie.
- 41:44Queef. And if you guys watch analytics,
- 41:47you guys remember what a Queef actually was, so I'm gonna leave
- 41:52it right there for that. Are you telling me that he
- 41:54queefs? I mean, and he's not.
- 41:57Hey, check his panties man. You're telling me he's?
- 41:59Not a mud pie. Mud pie pie, not just a regular.
- 42:02You telling me he's a female? A mud.
- 42:04Works that way to be honest. It probably doesn't.
- 42:07But hey, God. If Father made a way.
- 42:11If that man can queef, he's got something special.
- 42:14I'm telling you, he's he's flavour Flav without the clock.
- 42:21That's a good call. Disgusting.
- 42:23My, what's that smell is Jameer Candelario, who was their big
- 42:27free agent signing in 23, got hurt, sent down to AAA.
- 42:34This kind of goes on. What we were talking about
- 42:36earlier. What do you do?
- 42:37You send him down to AAA. He played in 15 games.
- 42:40He barely hit 200. And they're like, you know what?
- 42:44We're starting to play better. We're starting to get some
- 42:47contention. You lost some playing time a
- 42:49little bit before. Oh, yeah.
- 42:50But you don't have to do anything because we still owe
- 42:53you $22.5 million. And So what that smells like is
- 42:59I can suck, still get paid and make it rain at the strip club
- 43:02and just smell some good perfume and maybe some dirty fish.
- 43:07That's disgusting. You get.
- 43:09You get both of them there. You get both of them you.
- 43:13Get the both the best of both worlds.
- 43:14Snatch all. Right, ladies and gentlemen,
- 43:17laughs. What's that smell is pretty
- 43:21simple prosecute prosecutors seek five year prison term for
- 43:25raise Wanda Franco The prosecutor said in court that
- 43:30there is a is sufficient evidence to prove that Franco
- 43:33had a relationship with a minor for four months and that's the
- 43:38transfer of large sums of money to the miners mother to consent
- 43:43to a legal relationship. So Wanda Franco and there is
- 43:48proof that there is money being transferred.
- 43:50So pretty much was buying sex for a underage young young girl.
- 43:56It's absolutely despicable. From the mother.
- 43:59From the mother, Yeah, it's despicable.
- 44:00They're charging the mother with 10 years, You see that?
- 44:03Yes, I saw that too. It's it's despicable story and
- 44:06it's starting to grow legs. I I could only imagine.
- 44:10I could only imagine what is going on in many other different
- 44:13countries and Wanda Franco, who is just absolutely looking like
- 44:17a disgusting, pathetic aesthetic loser, should absolutely be
- 44:21terminated and never be thought of in professional sports again.
- 44:25What does it smell like? Well, it smells like a giraffe
- 44:29taking a dump and Speedy putting his nose in it and then pulling
- 44:32his chicken while he was doing it and smelling that with it.
- 44:35So Speedy, you know what chicken I'm talking about.
- 44:38I don't care. He doesn't care, as we all know.
- 44:41Well, there it is, ladies and gentlemen, that was a new
- 44:44episode of Joppa in the Mouth and boy oh boy, if you want to
- 44:47know what a queef is, just listen to our layout.
- 44:49Well, two weeks ago when Speedy gave you his own take on what a
- 44:53queef. Smells.

- 45:12The one I was going for, but that works too.
- 45:15Bad Jabba likes my shrimp cocktail.
- 45:20Droba, Nathan. Are you going to defend
- 45:22yourself, Nathan? He's still trying to figure out
- 45:29how to work this. Depend on what?
- 45:33Which part? Fish wears panties.
- 45:37That's just not true, man. You do wear panties.
- 45:41You think so? Fish is a grumpy old man.
- 45:43Why are you thinking about what I'm wearing?
- 45:48Just said. You think about it.
- 45:49That's so strange. No, I don't think I need it.
- 45:52Literally. Just said the opposite.
- 45:55I think Speedy thinks about it a lot of hot ladies.
- 45:58Thinking about what he's thinking about why?
- 46:00Are you thinking about what? He's thinking about breaking
- 46:02news about it. I'm putting you on a leash now.
