Sunset Beach’s long-awaited drainage overhaul for Catchment Seven is nearly complete — finally putting an end to flooding near Sixth Street, Canal Drive, and Main Street. Pipes, catch basins, and pavement are all in place, with the bike path restored and grading underway to guide water properly. Cleanup crews are removing debris from Majestic Oak Park, and the final pipe flushing is just around the corner — expect cones to vanish next week as the project wraps up.
