SPEAKER_02: But we got it in time for the conference tournaments.
1:34
SPEAKER_01: Just in time.
1:35
SPEAKER_01: Quality merch from the quality knuckleheads.
1:39
SPEAKER_01: Quality merch, exactly.
1:41
SPEAKER_01: And you know what?
1:42
SPEAKER_01: I'm so glad we finally got it out.
1:43
SPEAKER_01: We've been talking about it since the beginning of the year.
1:45
SPEAKER_01: We took our time, we got what we wanted, and I'm excited.
1:50
SPEAKER_01: So everybody out there, go out there and buy your In-DeCrease merch.
1:54
SPEAKER_01: Get a high C glass.
1:56
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, because if you look at it, Danny, if your teams are still in, you're going to wear your team stuff.
2:01
SPEAKER_02: If your team is out, you can still watch D2, but put down the In the Crease merch.
2:05
SPEAKER_01: That's right.
2:06
SPEAKER_01: That's right.
2:07
SPEAKER_01: Awesome.
2:08
SPEAKER_01: That's a great way to start.
2:09
SPEAKER_02: It is.
2:10
SPEAKER_02: It's a great way to start.
2:11
SPEAKER_02: And it's a great way to really segue right into your top 10 countdown.
2:16
SPEAKER_02: Hold on.
2:16
SPEAKER_02: We got some music to know.
2:25
SPEAKER_02: This is a great intro to your top 10, before the top 10.
2:34
SPEAKER_02: Little Frankie Lane tonight.
2:38
SPEAKER_02: I'm so used to it from here from the Blues Brothers movie.
2:41
SPEAKER_01: Better him singing it than me, right?
2:58
SPEAKER_01: Okay, Kev, this is your top 10 countdown week number 12.
3:05
SPEAKER_01: Like the song says, Adelphi rollin', rollin', rollin', keep them doggies rollin.
3:12
SPEAKER_01: They beat up Franklin Pierce, Kev, 25-7.
3:16
SPEAKER_01: The Adelphi Panthers are now 14-0, undefeated, 8-0 in conference, and they host the number 5 seed in the NE-10, which is number 19, St.
3:29
SPEAKER_01: Mike's, next Wednesday, April 29th.
3:33
SPEAKER_01: Number two, Tampa beat number 7 Florida Tech 6-5 in a close one.
3:40
SPEAKER_01: It was a great game.
3:41
SPEAKER_01: Tampa Spartans go to 16-1, 7-0 in conference, and they host Florida Southern in the Sunshine State Conference semis.
3:51
SPEAKER_01: Semis, yeah.
3:53
SPEAKER_01: St.
3:54
SPEAKER_01: A's number three beat Pace 14-12 and a really good game, Kev.
3:59
SPEAKER_01: They came back to beat that team.
4:02
SPEAKER_01: It was a really, really good game.
4:06
SPEAKER_01: The Hawks go to 11-1 overall, 7-1, and they got that second seed in the N-10, Kev.
4:15
SPEAKER_01: Number four, Wingate beat LMU rather handily 21-6.
4:20
SPEAKER_01: The dogs roll to a 11-2 record.
4:23
SPEAKER_01: They're 8-0 in conference.
4:26
SPEAKER_01: And they host number 10 Kataba tomorrow in the last game, conference game.
4:33
SPEAKER_01: Win or lose, Wingate has that number one seed and gets a bye in the sack tournament in that first round.
4:40
SPEAKER_01: Number five, LR.
4:42
SPEAKER_01: They were idle this week, Kev, but they host Coker tonight, I believe.
4:48
SPEAKER_01: LR is nine and three now.
4:50
SPEAKER_01: They're six and two in conference.
4:52
SPEAKER_01: And I think they're going to have that three seed, I think, in the sack.
4:56
SPEAKER_00: Yep.
4:59
SPEAKER_01: Number six, Florida Tech, we just said, lost to number two, Tampa.
5:03
SPEAKER_01: But the Panthers are 11-3 overall.
5:06
SPEAKER_01: They've had a great year, Kevin, and they continue to play well.
5:09
SPEAKER_01: They're six and one in conference, and they host number three seed, number 15, St.
5:15
SPEAKER_01: Leo, which could be a pretty good game if St.
5:18
SPEAKER_01: if the if the real Lions show up.
5:20
SPEAKER_01: Their offense has kind of been playing the way they did at the beginning of the season.
5:24
SPEAKER_01: Their offense has been struggling.
5:26
SPEAKER_01: The defense has been playing all right, but the offense, their efficiency has gone way down.
5:30
SPEAKER_01: Number seven, Seaton Hill beat Davenport in that undefeated game in the conference there.
5:36
SPEAKER_01: They beat him up, they doubled him up 12-6.
5:38
SPEAKER_02: They did, but I'll get into these notes, but Davenport kept it close through three quarters.
5:44
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we both picked Seton Hill to win the game.
5:47
SPEAKER_01: You did.
5:48
SPEAKER_01: Seton Hill goes to 13-2.
5:50
SPEAKER_01: A really good year.
5:50
SPEAKER_01: They're 9-0 in conference.
5:52
SPEAKER_01: And they travel to Walsh tonight in their last game of their conference.
5:58
SPEAKER_01: Anderson, number eight, tore into Emory and Henry, put up 32 on the Wasps.
6:05
SPEAKER_01: Come on, man.
6:09
SPEAKER_02: It's all it's lessons.
6:12
SPEAKER_02: Emory and Henry's got got to build, and they got to build in a tough, tough, tough conference.
6:17
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
6:18
SPEAKER_01: The Trojans go to 12-3, 6-3 in conference, and their next game will be in the Sack Tourney.
6:26
SPEAKER_01: Lewis, number nine, beat number 15 Rockhurst, 13-7.
6:32
SPEAKER_01: The Flyers go to 11-3.
6:34
SPEAKER_01: Very good year.
6:34
SPEAKER_01: They're 4-1 in conference.
6:36
SPEAKER_01: And they host UIndy in the first round of the GLVC.
6:41
SPEAKER_02: That's right.
6:42
SPEAKER_02: Because Lewis won that game against Rockhurst, there was a three-way tie for the conference, the regular season championship, but they got the number one seed based on goal differential.
6:51
SPEAKER_02: So they play UIndy, who's number four, and they go, they play at home.
6:56
SPEAKER_02: The tournament is in Lewis.
6:58
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so big, big advantage for the Flyers.
7:01
SPEAKER_01: Number 10, Cotabba beat Mars Hill rather handily, 26-4.
7:06
SPEAKER_01: Kotaba is really good this year, Kev.
7:09
SPEAKER_01: They're 11-2 overall, 6-2 in conference, and they face a tough Wingate Bulldog team at Wingate on this Wednesday, tomorrow night.
7:19
SPEAKER_01: And that's your top 10 countdown.
7:21
SPEAKER_01: Week number 12, Kev.
7:23
SPEAKER_01: Just a couple of quick scores to note.
7:25
SPEAKER_01: St.
7:25
SPEAKER_01: Mike's beat Bentley, man.
7:27
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
7:28
SPEAKER_01: Wow.
7:29
SPEAKER_02: That got him the fifth seed.
7:30
SPEAKER_02: They beat him 13-9.
7:32
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
7:33
SPEAKER_01: Noah Poirier was 55% at the dot.
7:36
SPEAKER_01: I think that was a big difference.
7:38
SPEAKER_01: They kept getting the ball, man.
7:39
SPEAKER_01: They just kept.
7:40
SPEAKER_02: Remember, last time we really talked about St.
7:42
SPEAKER_02: Mike's, and I was saying they were looking really good in the playing better in the conference.
7:45
SPEAKER_02: You're like, yeah, but they're one and four.
7:47
SPEAKER_02: And you were right.
7:47
SPEAKER_02: You were exactly right.
7:48
SPEAKER_02: They won three in a row to make it four and four in conference and get the fifth seed.
7:55
SPEAKER_01: Mike, St.
7:55
SPEAKER_01: Mike's been a really competitive, you know, scrappy team all year.
8:00
SPEAKER_01: How about Florida Southern, the Mox over Rollins, 11-10.
8:06
SPEAKER_01: Caden White with three goals and an assist.
8:09
SPEAKER_01: And with that win, the Mox get in with this into the Sunshine State Conference.
8:15
SPEAKER_02: Not only that, but they that was the quarterfinals.
8:19
SPEAKER_02: That game where they won 11-10 because it was this past Saturday.
8:23
SPEAKER_02: And get this, Danny.
8:25
SPEAKER_02: They were up 10-8 with two minutes left on Rollins.
8:31
SPEAKER_02: Rollins scores twice.
8:33
SPEAKER_02: They tie it at 10 with 25 seconds left.
8:38
SPEAKER_02: And you're thinking this is going overtime.
8:40
SPEAKER_02: Florida Southern wins the face-off.
8:42
SPEAKER_02: Jacob Chiz.
8:44
SPEAKER_02: Brings it down.
8:46
SPEAKER_02: They call a timeout.
8:49
SPEAKER_02: Florida Southern scores with two seconds left for the win.
8:54
SPEAKER_02: Wow.
8:55
SPEAKER_02: Crazy close game.
8:56
SPEAKER_02: Excellent.
8:57
SPEAKER_02: Love it.
8:58
SPEAKER_01: How about Montevallo all over Lander, boy?
9:02
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I've got some notes on that.
9:04
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
9:05
SPEAKER_01: Number 13, Meryville over U Indy.
9:08
SPEAKER_01: 17-8.
9:10
SPEAKER_01: Chestnut Hill.
9:13
SPEAKER_01: All over Georgian Court, 12-5.
9:15
SPEAKER_01: Jake Ballerini, our boy.
9:17
SPEAKER_01: He was one of our players to watch two years ago.
9:20
SPEAKER_01: He's really coming to his own this year as a junior.
9:22
SPEAKER_01: He had two goals and two assists in that game.
9:25
SPEAKER_01: Roberts Wesley and beat my Deuville Saints, kid.
9:29
SPEAKER_01: I was liking Deuville, and uh they doubled him up 16-8.
9:34
SPEAKER_01: Isaac Morrero, 15 for 20, 75%.
9:39
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
9:40
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and get this, it was 5'5 at half.
9:43
SPEAKER_02: So I turned to that game for a little bit, Danny, when it was five, you know, when it went into the third quarter, and Roberts Wesley and just forced their will.
9:51
SPEAKER_02: They just owned that second half to make it 16-8.
9:54
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, when you win in, when you win in face-off after face-off, you're just getting possession after possession.
9:59
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
10:00
SPEAKER_01: My last one is Lake Erie over Tiffin 13-6.
10:04
SPEAKER_01: So that was just a couple of quick scores to note.
10:07
SPEAKER_02: I've got a couple more.
10:10
SPEAKER_02: CUI beat Colorado Mesa.
10:13
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
10:13
SPEAKER_02: 10-7.
10:14
SPEAKER_02: Now they played in Salt Lake at Westminster.
10:18
SPEAKER_02: So it was a way-away game.
10:20
SPEAKER_02: But CUI, like they did two years ago, coming on strong at the end, get that number three seed.
10:26
SPEAKER_02: Really interesting to see that.
10:28
SPEAKER_02: And that puts Colorado Mesa as the two seed and Westminster as the number one seed.
10:33
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, crazy.
10:35
SPEAKER_02: The other one, so a couple scores tonight.
10:38
SPEAKER_02: Northwood beat Davenport to get the number two seed in the GMAC 17-13.
10:45
SPEAKER_02: And Seton Hill beat Walsh 16-5.
10:49
SPEAKER_02: That's a final today.
10:50
SPEAKER_02: We're recording on Tuesday, so that's a final.
10:52
SPEAKER_02: The other thing I'll point out is you said a Delphi on there, a Delphi playing St.
10:56
SPEAKER_02: Mike's number five seed.
10:57
SPEAKER_02: That's actually the first quarter final quarterfinal is on the 29th.
11:02
SPEAKER_02: It's assumption against St.
11:03
SPEAKER_02: Mike's.
11:03
SPEAKER_02: We'll get to that later.
11:05
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
11:05
SPEAKER_02: Tonight.
11:06
SPEAKER_02: So those are some really wild scores.
11:07
SPEAKER_02: I mean, some really interesting scores as we get to the very end, and we'll talk about a few of those games, and we'll get into the games to watch.
11:15
SPEAKER_02: Are really, it's all tournament play.
11:17
SPEAKER_02: But let's start off in the weekend review.
11:20
SPEAKER_02: Let's start off a game that we both thought uh, and you talked about it, Seaton Hill against Davenport.
11:27
SPEAKER_02: Danny, Davenport stayed with them.
11:30
SPEAKER_02: It was 4-3 at half.
11:32
SPEAKER_02: Seaton Hill was up.
11:33
SPEAKER_02: They had a 3-1 lead at one point, and you thought, okay, I just kept on.
11:37
SPEAKER_02: I was watching that game.
11:37
SPEAKER_02: I kept on waiting to see when Seton Hill was going to pull away.
11:40
SPEAKER_02: It was 7-5 after three, Seaton Hill.
11:44
SPEAKER_02: So Davenport just was hanging tough.
11:47
SPEAKER_02: Davenport gets it to within one, seven, six, and then it broke loose.
11:53
SPEAKER_02: Seton Hill scores five in a row.
11:56
SPEAKER_02: They get the number one seed.
11:57
SPEAKER_02: They go on.
11:58
SPEAKER_02: Seaton Hill, Caden Granberg, four goals.
12:00
SPEAKER_02: Nate Herbster, three goals.
12:02
SPEAKER_02: Carter Green and Dexter Hannigan both with two goals and one assist a piece.
12:06
SPEAKER_02: Davenport, Luke Eichbauer got two, had two goals and one assist, and Tommy Becker and Charlie Fritz both had a goal and an assist.
12:14
SPEAKER_02: You got to give Davenport credit.
12:16
SPEAKER_02: I mean, to hang with them for three quarters tells you where Davenport was.
12:21
SPEAKER_02: And I actually thought maybe they'd have a good chance against Northwood.
12:26
SPEAKER_02: Northwood and Davenport are close, and Northwood winning by four goals.
12:31
SPEAKER_02: I didn't get to watch the game.
12:33
SPEAKER_02: That'll tell you how good Northwood, who was the sixth seed last year in their first season in the GMAC, now has a bye as a number two seed.
12:43
SPEAKER_01: That's crazy.
12:44
SPEAKER_01: That's just crazy to me.
12:46
SPEAKER_01: I mean, how great of a job has Coach done up there.
12:49
SPEAKER_01: Just amazing.
12:51
SPEAKER_01: I mean, yeah.
12:52
SPEAKER_01: He's really put it together.
12:53
SPEAKER_01: They've done great in conference all year.
12:55
SPEAKER_01: They had a great year.
12:56
SPEAKER_01: I don't see them beating Seton Hill, though.
12:58
SPEAKER_01: I think they might be able to get the biggest.
12:59
SPEAKER_01: No, I don't either.
13:00
SPEAKER_02: I don't either.
13:01
SPEAKER_02: They lost them fairly big in the in the regular season.
13:04
SPEAKER_02: I see that continue.
13:05
SPEAKER_02: I don't see anyone beating Seton Hill.
13:06
SPEAKER_02: We talked about that all the way back in the conference previews.
13:09
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
13:09
SPEAKER_02: But interesting to see a team like Davenport hang with them.
13:14
SPEAKER_01: Davenport has been a scrappy team all year, yeah.
13:17
SPEAKER_01: They're a good team.
13:18
SPEAKER_01: They really are.
13:19
SPEAKER_01: They really are.
13:20
SPEAKER_01: And you know what?
13:20
SPEAKER_01: They got a lot to look forward to.
13:22
SPEAKER_01: You know what?
13:23
SPEAKER_01: Another good recruiting class, maybe.
13:25
SPEAKER_01: And uh see what happens with them next year.
13:28
SPEAKER_01: They're definitely moving, trending upward.
13:31
SPEAKER_02: Let's talk about the game that we couldn't talk about last week because we were recording when it was about to go on, and that was Tampa against Florida Tech.
13:40
SPEAKER_02: Close game at Florida Tech.
13:43
SPEAKER_02: What did you think about that game?
13:45
SPEAKER_01: All right.
13:45
SPEAKER_01: My first thought was the worst stream ever because they had end zone.
13:51
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
13:51
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
13:52
SPEAKER_01: There was no center camera.
13:54
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
13:55
SPEAKER_01: So all the views were from the end zones.
13:58
SPEAKER_01: And God forbid, if you looked away or scratched your knee or something and you look back up and they changed the views, you couldn't tell.
14:04
SPEAKER_01: You could say they were going.
14:06
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
14:06
SPEAKER_01: You had to really concentrate.
14:08
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
14:08
SPEAKER_01: It was horrible.
14:10
SPEAKER_01: And you know what?
14:11
SPEAKER_01: Shame on Florida Tech for such a big game and a national game that had so many eyes looking at it to stream the game now.
14:20
SPEAKER_02: So what's funny is I don't know what's happened.
14:22
SPEAKER_02: And I watched several other home games.
14:25
SPEAKER_02: The last two games, they've had those views, but before that, they had a center view.
14:30
SPEAKER_02: And I don't know if something happened with their camera at the center view that they don't have it or they didn't switch it.
14:35
SPEAKER_02: Like I don't know what's going on, or they they think the end zone look gets you a better look at the view of it, but it's horrible.
14:41
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
14:41
SPEAKER_01: It's horrible.
14:42
SPEAKER_01: Like I said, God forbid you looked away and then you looked up and there was another view.
14:45
SPEAKER_01: They're going the other way.
14:46
SPEAKER_01: You like you just it was hard to figure out.
14:49
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
14:50
SPEAKER_01: But great game by Florida Tech.
14:53
SPEAKER_01: Came up just a little bit short.
14:54
SPEAKER_01: That defense from Tampa in the fourth quarter again did the same thing.
14:59
SPEAKER_01: Same thing.
15:01
SPEAKER_02: I messaged Coach Sully about that.
15:03
SPEAKER_02: I said, and we we talked about this before the game.
15:08
SPEAKER_02: What was the final?
15:09
SPEAKER_02: The final was like 6'4.
15:10
SPEAKER_02: 6'5.
15:11
SPEAKER_02: 6'5.
15:12
SPEAKER_02: That's right, because Florida Tech scored at the buzzer.
15:16
SPEAKER_02: That's right.
15:17
SPEAKER_02: But both defenses were just spot on.
15:24
SPEAKER_02: Tampa's was just better.
15:26
SPEAKER_02: Almost throughout the whole game.
15:27
SPEAKER_02: I mean, Florida Tech had very few chances six on six at all to score.
15:35
SPEAKER_01: You know, offensively, Florida Tech is like a three-quarter team.
15:42
SPEAKER_01: Defensively, they're like a hundred percent team.
15:45
SPEAKER_01: That's where their strength lies.
15:47
SPEAKER_01: With Jack Francisco in goal and that big, strong, fast, very physical defense with the Florida Tech Panthers.
15:55
SPEAKER_01: That's what's keeping them in games.
15:57
SPEAKER_01: Their offense, eh, they're okay.
16:00
SPEAKER_01: They're okay.
16:02
SPEAKER_01: They got a couple of guys that can score, but they're not like, oh my God, wow, watch the offense.
16:07
SPEAKER_01: They're not that.
16:08
SPEAKER_01: They're a defensive team.
16:10
SPEAKER_01: They want to slow you down.
16:11
SPEAKER_01: They want to get you into that 6v6 and beat up on you.
16:15
SPEAKER_01: That's what they want to do.
16:16
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
16:16
SPEAKER_01: And it's hard to do that against Against Tampa.
16:19
SPEAKER_01: But man, they almost did it.
16:21
SPEAKER_01: They did.
16:22
SPEAKER_01: It was close, man.
16:23
SPEAKER_01: It was fourth.
16:24
SPEAKER_01: That fourth quarter.
16:25
SPEAKER_01: Again, I mean, Tampa's defense stepped up, slides at just the right time to just to cause the turnover.
16:33
SPEAKER_01: They did it in the first game.
16:35
SPEAKER_01: It was a close game the first game.
16:37
SPEAKER_01: They did it twice in the fourth quarter, caused turnovers to get scores.
16:41
SPEAKER_01: In the first game, they did the same thing in this game.
16:46
SPEAKER_01: They caused turnovers late in the game, slides like just, you know, perfect time slides.
16:52
SPEAKER_01: You know, they must but really, Scott, like, listen, when this guy turns this way, we're gonna we're gonna slide hard.
16:58
SPEAKER_01: And it and it worked.
16:59
SPEAKER_01: And I mean, Tampa, their defense is really, really good.
17:03
SPEAKER_01: I mean, Schmidt in goal is insane.
17:06
SPEAKER_01: Conley Stone, Gordy Gumball, they got a great defense.
17:10
SPEAKER_01: I don't think Tampa's offense is that great either.
17:14
SPEAKER_01: I'm just being honest.
17:16
SPEAKER_01: I'm just telling you what I think.
17:17
SPEAKER_01: Listen, in years past, I mean, Tampa used to just beat the snot out of people, put up 17-18 goals.
17:24
SPEAKER_01: They're not doing that this year.
17:26
SPEAKER_01: No.
17:26
SPEAKER_01: They're only putting up 12-13, but they're only giving up nine or ten.
17:31
SPEAKER_02: Yep, and then they almost always win, though.
17:36
SPEAKER_02: That's it's it's like the Delphi, right?
17:38
SPEAKER_02: It's just it's amazing to watch that they and I'll talk about another game where two teams are poised.
17:44
SPEAKER_01: They're beatable.
17:44
SPEAKER_02: They are.
17:45
SPEAKER_02: I mean, Anderson beat them.
17:46
SPEAKER_02: I mean, they are beatable, yes.
17:48
SPEAKER_01: And I felt Florida Tech had a really, really good chance to beat them.
17:51
SPEAKER_01: If they would have played a little bit cleaner in that fourth quarter.
17:54
SPEAKER_02: I've I thought, Danny, I was gonna be the hero.
17:56
SPEAKER_02: Instead, I was the GOAT.
18:00
SPEAKER_02: Great game, though.
18:01
SPEAKER_02: You're right.
18:01
SPEAKER_02: They could have it it was just if you just saw it when they got up by two, I'm like, oh, that in the fourth, you're like, that's gonna be tough because there's just not that many chances.
18:14
SPEAKER_01: Both of those teams defense.
18:16
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, both of those teams really are defensively strong.
18:20
SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
18:21
SPEAKER_01: And their defenses are better than their offenses, but that's what's keeping them in games.
18:27
SPEAKER_01: Again, both of them with great goalies.
18:29
SPEAKER_01: Great goalies, both of them.
18:31
SPEAKER_01: Both of them with really good, big, strong defenders that get after it, that are high IQ, good athletes.
18:39
SPEAKER_01: Again, a 6'5 game.
18:42
SPEAKER_01: That's that's as good as you get, man.
18:44
SPEAKER_02: And I mean, we could we're gonna look at this a little bit later at the Sunshine State uh conference tournament.
18:51
SPEAKER_02: Let's say it looks pretty it could happen that you see Florida Tech and Tampa in the finals.
18:58
SPEAKER_02: Let's say Tampa wins.
19:01
SPEAKER_02: They get the AQ.
19:03
SPEAKER_02: Do you see the chance that Florida Tech gets a one of the open bids?
19:11
SPEAKER_02: I do.
19:11
SPEAKER_01: At large.
19:12
SPEAKER_01: I do too.
19:13
SPEAKER_02: I think they have a good chance.
19:14
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think the Sunshine State, I think Florida Tech's gonna get two.
19:18
SPEAKER_01: They'll get that AQ.
19:19
SPEAKER_01: No, I think you know they're gonna get a bid.
19:21
SPEAKER_01: Whoever's that two.
19:23
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
19:23
SPEAKER_01: Whoever's number two in that in that league.
19:25
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
19:26
SPEAKER_01: I think they have a good shot.
19:27
SPEAKER_01: I think they have a good shot.
19:28
SPEAKER_01: I do, I do too.
19:30
SPEAKER_02: All right, let's move to another game.
19:32
SPEAKER_02: I'm not sure you got to watch it because you were down at the Wingate game for senior day.
19:37
SPEAKER_02: This was pace against St.
19:40
SPEAKER_02: Anselm.
19:40
SPEAKER_02: I did watch it.
19:41
SPEAKER_02: Oh, okay.
19:43
SPEAKER_02: St.
19:44
SPEAKER_02: Anselm pulls it out 14-12.
19:46
SPEAKER_02: Here's what I'd say, Danny.
19:48
SPEAKER_02: This is what I wrote at at these teams know each other.
19:51
SPEAKER_02: These are two really good teams.
19:53
SPEAKER_02: Two teams that have very, very good shots at our at-large bids if they don't win the AQ.
20:03
SPEAKER_02: These teams do not back down from each other, they don't get flustered with this matchup.
20:08
SPEAKER_02: They're both very, very poised.
20:11
SPEAKER_02: They don't get rattled.
20:12
SPEAKER_02: And it showed in this game because this was a game of runs.
20:16
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, two well two well-coached teams as well.
20:19
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
20:19
SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah.
20:20
SPEAKER_02: St.
20:20
SPEAKER_02: A's starts off with a run.
20:24
SPEAKER_02: The setters come back, they're down early, they fight back, they get it to a five-goal lead.
20:31
SPEAKER_02: The Hawks are down by five in the second half.
20:34
SPEAKER_02: And I said at that time that I wrote a note.
20:38
SPEAKER_02: I said there's a lot of time left.
20:40
SPEAKER_02: It was in the third quarter.
20:42
SPEAKER_02: There's a lot of time left.
20:43
SPEAKER_02: They could come back, but these teams are so evenly matched, it's very tough to do that.
20:48
SPEAKER_02: And what they do, they St.
20:50
SPEAKER_02: Anselm with their offense and their their defense started to really tighten up, not give any shot.
20:58
SPEAKER_02: They became a lot tougher pace.
21:01
SPEAKER_02: Pace, I think, made some mistakes at near the end, maybe got tight.
21:05
SPEAKER_02: They came back and scored seven unanswered to win the game 14-12.
21:10
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
21:11
SPEAKER_01: And Granara made some really good big he made like five saves in the fourth quarter.
21:16
SPEAKER_01: Grenara in that game.
21:17
SPEAKER_01: Hey, listen, I think Pace is an excellent team.
21:19
SPEAKER_01: They're having a tough week, man.
21:21
SPEAKER_01: Lost to Bentley, lost to uh uh a Delphi, and now lost to St.
21:27
SPEAKER_01: A's, but were in each game and had chances to win.
21:31
SPEAKER_01: They had chances to win against a Delphi, they had chances to win against St.
21:35
SPEAKER_01: A's.
21:36
unknown: St.
21:36
SPEAKER_01: A's are a very good offensive team, man.
21:38
SPEAKER_01: They're just there can't count those guys out even to the last three, four minutes.
21:43
SPEAKER_01: If they're down, you can't count them out.
21:46
SPEAKER_01: LeMay is just an amazing player out there.
21:49
SPEAKER_01: Ben Turpin.
21:50
SPEAKER_02: I mean, LeMay had the game this time, but Ben Turpin's had several games, and they've got they've got other players that always step up.
21:56
SPEAKER_01: Guys like Seems like LeMay's the Clutch guy, though.
22:01
SPEAKER_01: He's like when they need one, he's the guy.
22:03
SPEAKER_01: Like he's the passer.
22:05
SPEAKER_02: He's well, it's what I would say is I think the role switched this game.
22:10
SPEAKER_02: I mean, he did.
22:11
SPEAKER_02: He had five goals.
22:12
SPEAKER_02: But there have been other games where Ben Turpin has had more goals than Matt LeMay, and Matt LeMay's been feeding him.
22:17
SPEAKER_02: They look look put it this way those two playing on the same attack line.
22:22
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
22:22
SPEAKER_02: Forget about I mean they are really, really good.
22:25
SPEAKER_02: Little bit of murderous row there.
22:27
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
22:27
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
22:28
SPEAKER_02: I mean, you said it exactly right.
22:29
SPEAKER_02: I here the team stats were dead even except saves, Danny.
22:33
SPEAKER_02: St.
22:34
SPEAKER_02: Anselm had 15 of paces 10.
22:36
SPEAKER_02: That goes to Finn Granara.
22:37
SPEAKER_02: And Finn Granara had some key saves, like you said, in the fourth quarter.
22:42
SPEAKER_02: And I think the Hawks offense got underneath their defenders several times at the end, and that for scores.
22:51
SPEAKER_02: Like I was almost like that's how they were beating their man.
22:54
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
22:55
SPEAKER_02: It was a good game, man.
22:57
SPEAKER_02: It was a really good game.
22:59
SPEAKER_02: And and like you said, two goal difference.
23:01
SPEAKER_02: I was, like I said, I was shocked.
23:04
SPEAKER_02: I was shocked that St.
23:06
SPEAKER_02: Anselm scored of an unanswered.
23:08
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, me too.
23:09
SPEAKER_01: I was too.
23:10
SPEAKER_01: But not surprised.
23:11
SPEAKER_01: I mean, shocked that they were able to come back.
23:14
SPEAKER_01: But then again, on the second side of that coin, I always say, man, their offense is so good, they can just they can score, man.
23:22
SPEAKER_01: Like I said at the beginning, poison the teams.
23:25
SPEAKER_01: Run that down top to bottom, like little two-man game, and it works for them.
23:29
SPEAKER_01: And they just got it down.
23:30
SPEAKER_02: They they did not get flush.
23:32
SPEAKER_02: They had a lot of time left when they were down by five.
23:34
SPEAKER_02: And I when I wrote that note, it was still in the third quarter.
23:37
SPEAKER_02: They still had time.
23:38
SPEAKER_01: So my question is in the NE ten, does the AQ, do they get two?
23:44
SPEAKER_01: Do they get two in?
23:47
SPEAKER_01: Oh, I think they will.
23:48
SPEAKER_02: I think and pace.
23:50
SPEAKER_02: I think there's a chance.
23:52
SPEAKER_02: It'll be interesting to see what happens in the tournament.
23:55
SPEAKER_02: Like if assumption comes up, if someone beats pace, I see that.
24:00
SPEAKER_02: I think I think there's they will any ten will, I think, will get two in.
24:05
SPEAKER_02: If you look at the north and you look at other teams.
24:07
SPEAKER_01: I'm saying three.
24:08
SPEAKER_01: Oh, three.
24:10
SPEAKER_02: I think there's a chance.
24:11
SPEAKER_02: I think it depends on what happens in the tournament.
24:13
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
24:13
SPEAKER_01: I think it happened what happens in the tournament.
24:16
SPEAKER_01: Because I think Pace is one of the best teams in the North.
24:19
SPEAKER_01: I do.
24:20
SPEAKER_01: You know, I think, you know, Adelphi, obviously, St.
24:23
SPEAKER_01: A's, obviously.
24:24
SPEAKER_01: Pace is like my third pick out of the North.
24:28
SPEAKER_01: You know?
24:29
SPEAKER_02: I think if you look at the other conferences in the North region, you look at the ECC.
24:33
SPEAKER_02: Well, Malloy, even if they lose the tournament, they're gonna get an automatic qualifier.
24:40
SPEAKER_02: We'll talk about this.
24:41
SPEAKER_02: You look at teams like Mercy and Frostburg State.
24:43
SPEAKER_02: If if Malloy gets the wins the championship in the tournament, do one of those get an automatic qualifier?
24:51
SPEAKER_02: I mean, uh at-large bid could be tough.
24:53
SPEAKER_02: Look at C A C C A C C probably one team.
24:57
SPEAKER_02: Whoever wins the AQ.
25:01
SPEAKER_02: So it gets it gets a little dicey on who's gonna be else in there.
25:05
SPEAKER_02: You know what I'm saying?
25:06
SPEAKER_02: The at-large bits.
25:08
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
25:09
SPEAKER_02: Okay, let me go over this game.
25:11
SPEAKER_02: Lander at Montevallo really quickly.
25:14
SPEAKER_02: Montevallo just took it to him really 20 to 13.
25:20
SPEAKER_02: Falcons were up 7-3 in the third when I actually dialed into the game.
25:25
SPEAKER_02: Lander scores two in a row to make it 7-5 at half.
25:28
SPEAKER_02: And you're like, okay, here it goes.
25:30
SPEAKER_02: The Falcons score the first five in the third, 12-5 until Lander finally scores and makes it 12-6 or 7-12 left.
25:39
SPEAKER_02: But it's 15-8 after three.
25:42
SPEAKER_02: They out Monte Valo outscored Lander 8-3 in the third, and that was all they needed.
25:47
SPEAKER_02: They actually got it to 17-8 in the fourth before Lander makes a great run, scores the next five, make it 17-13 with 7.03 left.
25:59
SPEAKER_02: They need four goals in seven minutes to tie it up.
26:02
SPEAKER_02: They ran out of juice.
26:04
SPEAKER_02: They ran out of juice.
26:05
SPEAKER_02: Monteval comes back, scores the next two over the next, you know, seven, five minutes, and and they close it out 20 to 13.
26:14
SPEAKER_02: And they got the number one seed now in the peach belt.
26:17
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
26:19
SPEAKER_01: It was uh Wagler a couple of weeks ago.
26:23
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and it's interesting because once again, Alex Agorshin, 18 saves to and from Montevallo to 13 for Lander.
26:32
SPEAKER_02: Lander had more shots.
26:34
SPEAKER_02: They had 55 to Montavalo's 48, but really the efficiency wasn't as good.
26:38
SPEAKER_02: They were only 31 shots on goal compared to Monteval's 33.
26:42
SPEAKER_02: So there's a little bit of the difference there.
26:44
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
26:45
SPEAKER_02: Lander, Matt Duerty had five goals, two assists.
26:48
SPEAKER_02: Josh Rosa had three goals to assist.
26:50
SPEAKER_02: Vince Rappold had one goal, three assists, and Jeremy Woodrick had one goal, one assist.
26:54
SPEAKER_02: For Montevallo, Aiden Collery had two goals, three assists.
26:59
SPEAKER_02: Michael Hawkins had four goals.
27:01
SPEAKER_02: Lucas Mullen with four goals, two assists.
27:03
SPEAKER_02: Your man, offensive player of the week last week, Matthew Boas, had four goals again.
27:08
SPEAKER_02: That's a ball.
27:09
SPEAKER_02: That's just a machine.
27:10
SPEAKER_02: He's a baller.
27:11
SPEAKER_02: And John Moritz had two assists.
27:13
SPEAKER_02: Really, really close game.
27:17
SPEAKER_02: We we kind of now the one game we didn't talk about in the Sunshine State quarterfinals.
27:22
SPEAKER_02: We talked about uh Rollins and Florida Southern.
27:26
SPEAKER_02: Emmy Riddle and St.
27:28
SPEAKER_02: Leo went to overtime.
27:30
SPEAKER_02: Did you catch any of that game?
27:31
SPEAKER_01: I caught a little bit of having problems with the stream a little bit later.
27:35
SPEAKER_01: St.
27:36
SPEAKER_02: Leo takes it 9-8.
27:38
SPEAKER_02: St.
27:39
SPEAKER_02: Leo was up like 6-3.
27:40
SPEAKER_02: They were up for a while, and Emmy Riddle just slowly chipped away, came back, tied it.
27:49
SPEAKER_02: I think the last few goals it was a little bit back and forth to get it to 8-8.
27:53
SPEAKER_02: I think they tied it like 7-7 and was back and forth.
27:58
SPEAKER_02: Once again, St.
28:00
SPEAKER_02: Leo is not putting the same offensive efficiency together in four quarters.
28:05
SPEAKER_02: They get some really good goals where they're Greg Palmer has an unbelievable shot, or the what I'm still not seeing is the off-ball movement and the passing, the ball movement that I've seen in the past, the beginning of the season with them.
28:22
SPEAKER_01: I agree with that.
28:23
SPEAKER_01: I mean, in the beginning of the season, they were moving the ball great.
28:26
SPEAKER_01: The guys, you know, running around and just, you know, causing havoc on the offensive side there.
28:31
SPEAKER_01: And they just kind of lost it.
28:33
SPEAKER_01: I mean, they're still a really good team.
28:35
unknown: Yeah.
28:36
SPEAKER_01: And they're gonna they're gonna need to be able to hasn't been out putting putting out as much as it has in the in the beginning of the season.
28:43
SPEAKER_01: I think it's cost them a little bit.
28:45
SPEAKER_02: They are gonna need to have that kind of game where they can really move that rock around against Florida Tech.
28:52
SPEAKER_02: Put a whole game together.
28:53
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
28:53
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
28:53
SPEAKER_02: Yep.
28:54
SPEAKER_02: Okay, last game to go over is our game of the week last week, and that was Rockhurst against Lewis, 15 against 10.
29:05
SPEAKER_02: And Lewis wins 13-7.
29:08
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, boys.
29:09
SPEAKER_02: Rockhurst.
29:11
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, now I picked Lewis for this game.
29:12
SPEAKER_02: I know you did.
29:13
SPEAKER_02: I did, but I will tell you, Danny, Brock Olala, he continued to have a great game against Lewis, and he kept their their team in it.
29:25
SPEAKER_02: It was they were actually Rockhurst was up after 1-2-1.
29:29
SPEAKER_02: Both defenses were playing well.
29:30
SPEAKER_02: Here's a little bit of the difference between that and the Merriville game.
29:35
SPEAKER_02: Lewis's defense actually played better throughout the game and actually got better than Rockhurst's defense.
29:45
SPEAKER_02: They were basically shutting them down and could they could not get anything in the middle.
29:50
SPEAKER_02: Could not get anything.
29:52
SPEAKER_02: And they were winning the 50-50 balls.
29:55
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
29:56
SPEAKER_02: Lewis is tough, man.
29:57
SPEAKER_02: Lewis, like we said, like I said last week, they do not have not lost at home.
30:03
SPEAKER_02: And the difference is they were starting to get even though uh Brock was getting some doorstep saves, you could tell even though he was getting some of those saves, he had eight saves in the first half, at least.
30:19
SPEAKER_02: That's because Lewis started to get good looks.
30:22
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
30:24
SPEAKER_01: It's a good team.
30:24
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, they're there they were the ones that were sliding quick.
30:27
SPEAKER_02: Lewis D was sliding quick.
30:29
SPEAKER_02: They were really disrupting Rockhurst's offense.
30:32
SPEAKER_02: It was 6'3.
30:33
SPEAKER_02: Lewis at half.
30:36
SPEAKER_02: The Hawks actually tied it up and got it to be 6'6.
30:40
SPEAKER_02: And then the Flyers dropped the hammer and they scored seven in a row.
30:45
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
30:46
SPEAKER_02: And that was a game.
30:46
SPEAKER_02: 13.
30:48
SPEAKER_02: It was 13-6.
30:49
SPEAKER_02: Rockers finally scores, makes it 13-7.
30:52
SPEAKER_02: Lewis was just too fast on D, and they're doing a great job, like I said, disrupting the Hawks offense and bottling up the middle.
31:00
SPEAKER_02: They could not, they had to do it around the side, around the edges.
31:05
SPEAKER_02: Every time they tried to dodge, defense was there.
31:07
SPEAKER_02: They'd slide, they'd have to bring it around, and they could not get a pass in the middle near the crease.
31:12
SPEAKER_01: I'll tell you right now, watch out for that Hawks team in the GLVC.
31:18
SPEAKER_02: I you we talk, we're gonna we'll talk about this, we'll talk about the sack.
31:21
SPEAKER_02: I think it's the same thing when we talk about GLVC and that tournament.
31:27
SPEAKER_02: I think Merriville for the Hawks Rockhurst.
31:31
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
31:33
SPEAKER_01: I think they're gonna be tough, you know.
31:36
SPEAKER_02: Now Lewis at home.
31:37
SPEAKER_02: It's at home.
31:38
SPEAKER_02: They get the they get the tournament at home, so it'll be interesting to see.
31:41
SPEAKER_02: Can someone finally beat them at home?
31:43
SPEAKER_01: It was 44 degrees and like a 30 mile an hour wind.
31:47
SPEAKER_02: It's always I swear to God, it's always windy there.
31:49
SPEAKER_02: I think Coach Peruzzi just manifests that.
31:53
SPEAKER_02: He creates that every time there's a game, bring me wind.
31:57
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
31:58
SPEAKER_01: It would look cold, man.
31:59
SPEAKER_02: Everybody knows the goodies and stuff.
32:01
SPEAKER_02: Here's some some interesting on the team stats if you look at it.
32:05
SPEAKER_02: So shots, Rockhurst had 27 to Lewis, 39.
32:10
SPEAKER_02: But then the shots on goal, Lewis, 31 shots on goal.
32:14
SPEAKER_02: That'll tell you efficiency.
32:16
SPEAKER_02: 31 out of 39 versus Rockhurst 15.
32:19
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, they were getting clean looks, like you said.
32:22
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
32:22
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, they just and the saves.
32:24
SPEAKER_02: Here's the here's what kept them in it for a while.
32:27
SPEAKER_02: Rockhurst had 18 to Lewis's eight.
32:29
SPEAKER_02: Now, there's only 15 shots on goal.
32:33
unknown: Yeah.
32:34
SPEAKER_02: You save eight, you're good, right?
32:36
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
32:36
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
32:36
SPEAKER_02: 50%.
32:37
SPEAKER_02: Right.
32:38
SPEAKER_02: And the clears, this is where Rockhurst got hurt too.
32:41
SPEAKER_02: They were 19-24, and Lewis was perfect at 19 for 19.
32:45
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's big.
32:46
SPEAKER_02: So, you know, for Rockhurst, Adam Husby had two goals.
32:49
SPEAKER_02: Jonah McConnell, one goal, one assist.
32:51
SPEAKER_02: Lewis, Cole Wesner had four goals.
32:53
SPEAKER_02: Carter Krasinski, three goals.
32:56
SPEAKER_02: Paul Roskowski, two goals, an assist.
32:58
SPEAKER_02: Malachi Good with three goals.
33:00
SPEAKER_02: Josh Shelfi with three assists.
33:03
SPEAKER_02: And Braylon Ray, a freshman from Rockford, Michigan, five ground balls, four cost turnovers.
33:12
SPEAKER_01: That's a day right there for that guy.
33:15
SPEAKER_01: That's quality defense right there.
33:17
SPEAKER_01: In the crease, player of the week offense.
33:22
SPEAKER_01: Okay, Kev, my offensive player of the week goes to my man from the Anderson Trojans.
33:28
SPEAKER_01: Faceoff guy, Aiden Dixon, 18 for 19 at the dot, 94%.
33:34
SPEAKER_01: He had two goals, an assist, and 10 ground balls.
33:38
SPEAKER_01: R you kidding me.
33:41
SPEAKER_01: Aiden Dixon, our offensive player of the week.
33:45
SPEAKER_01: Son, you had such a game.
33:50
SPEAKER_01: Is that ridiculous or what?
33:52
SPEAKER_01: That's ridiculous.
33:53
SPEAKER_01: In the crease, player of the week.
33:55
SPEAKER_02: Defense.
33:58
SPEAKER_02: All right, defensive player of the week.
34:00
SPEAKER_02: This is a toss-up.
34:01
SPEAKER_02: This is a toss-up.
34:04
SPEAKER_02: Both are freshmen.
34:07
SPEAKER_02: But my runner-up goes to St.
34:09
SPEAKER_02: An A's defender, Dylan Bankowski, six ground balls, three cost turnovers.
34:16
SPEAKER_02: And the defensive player of the week, I just talked about him.
34:20
SPEAKER_02: Lewis Deepole, Braylon Ray, five ground balls, four cause turnovers.
34:26
SPEAKER_02: Both those players, though, are freshmen playing against Pace and Rockhurst and putting up those numbers.
34:33
SPEAKER_01: That's a great day.
34:34
SPEAKER_01: Both guys.
34:39
SPEAKER_02: All right, Danny.
34:41
SPEAKER_02: Now here comes the fun.
34:42
SPEAKER_02: It's turning time.
34:44
SPEAKER_02: There's no turning back.
34:46
SPEAKER_02: It's time to find out who's going to get the AQs as we start to roll through this.
34:53
SPEAKER_02: These are all the games to watch.
34:54
SPEAKER_02: Some of them have already happened.
34:58
SPEAKER_02: Let's start off with the Conference Carolina quarters.
35:01
SPEAKER_02: This happened today.
35:03
SPEAKER_02: North Greenville beat Young Harris 23-10 to make it to the to the semis.
35:11
SPEAKER_02: And I'm looking and Barton right now is playing Mount Olive.
35:15
SPEAKER_02: And right now in the second quarter, Barton is the four seed, Mount Olive's the fifth seed.
35:22
SPEAKER_02: It's 8-5 Barton in the second quarter.
35:24
SPEAKER_02: So that will go.
35:25
SPEAKER_02: Now the Conference Carolina semis will be on Friday.
35:30
SPEAKER_02: That will be either Barton or Mount Olive against Belmont Abbey and North Greenville against Lees McCrae.
35:40
SPEAKER_01: Now I ran into one Caden Castle this weekend, Kev.
35:45
SPEAKER_01: He came to uh cheer on some of his old teammates for the senior day in the wingate.
35:51
SPEAKER_01: And we were talking, and he likes his chances against he wants Lees again.
35:56
SPEAKER_01: Oh, I'm sure they do.
35:58
SPEAKER_01: They want Lees again.
35:59
SPEAKER_01: So they, you know, they they said we're gonna we gotta handle business against Young Harris and then probably go up to Attack Mountain and look to attack some uh Bobcats themselves.
36:11
SPEAKER_01: So Mr.
36:13
SPEAKER_01: Castle and his uh trailblazer teammates, I wish them luck.
36:16
SPEAKER_01: They're gonna Any any predictions on those two games for you?
36:19
SPEAKER_01: Yes, of course I do.
36:21
SPEAKER_01: Belmont Abbey's winning the conference.
36:26
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
36:27
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
36:27
SPEAKER_01: And I think Lees beats North Greenville in a close one and loses to Belmont Abbey in the championship.
36:36
SPEAKER_01: That's my that's my prediction.
36:40
SPEAKER_02: I agree with you on all accounts.
36:42
SPEAKER_02: I think Belmont Abbey just from a experience, a culture experience, maybe not all their players.
36:51
SPEAKER_02: I mean, they're they're still young, but I think Lise McRae is not there yet.
36:55
SPEAKER_02: They're gonna be at their conference final, tournament final, I think.
37:03
SPEAKER_02: I think they'll beat North Greenville because they've gotten that good, but I think Belmont Abbey takes them on Sunday, the 26th of April.
37:10
SPEAKER_02: So you're picking North Greenville to beat.
37:12
SPEAKER_02: No, I've got Lise McRae winning beating North Green.
37:15
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I think the same exact thing as you.
37:17
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
37:17
SPEAKER_01: All right.
37:18
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
37:18
SPEAKER_02: I'm in agreement with you.
37:19
SPEAKER_01: I like Belmont Abbey.
37:20
SPEAKER_01: I watched them a bunch of times this year.
37:22
SPEAKER_01: I felt they should have been ranked earlier.
37:25
SPEAKER_01: You know, I really felt they were good enough to be ranked.
37:28
SPEAKER_01: They were receiving votes, but they belong in the top 20.
37:31
SPEAKER_01: They're gonna be tough in the Conference Carolinas.
37:34
SPEAKER_01: And tell you what, once they get that AQ, if they get that AQ, they're gonna be tough in the NCAA.
37:40
SPEAKER_02: Guess who's receiving votes now?
37:42
SPEAKER_02: And and Lees McCrae.
37:44
SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah.
37:45
SPEAKER_02: And in USA Lacrosse, theirs, although we follow USILA, they were in consideration too, which you think about where they were the last couple years and where they are, it's just amazing.
37:57
SPEAKER_01: It is amazing.
37:58
SPEAKER_01: Seven and one in conference, and amazing.
38:01
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
38:02
SPEAKER_01: John Grant Jr.
38:03
SPEAKER_01: has to get the Coach of the Year award.
38:05
SPEAKER_01: I mean You would think.
38:07
SPEAKER_01: You would think.
38:07
SPEAKER_01: Can't give it to Purdy again.
38:09
SPEAKER_01: No.
38:10
SPEAKER_01: No.
38:10
SPEAKER_01: Love you, Purdy.
38:12
SPEAKER_01: Or even but Grant's doing a really good job down there.
38:16
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
38:17
SPEAKER_02: Oh, I agree.
38:18
SPEAKER_02: All right.
38:18
SPEAKER_02: Let's move on to the Sunshine State semis.
38:23
SPEAKER_02: That's going to be Florida Southern against Tampa and St.
38:26
SPEAKER_02: Leo against Florida Tech, and that's tomorrow.
38:31
SPEAKER_01: Florida Tech handles business over St.
38:33
SPEAKER_01: Leo.
38:34
SPEAKER_01: I agree.
38:35
SPEAKER_01: Tampa handles their business.
38:38
SPEAKER_01: And I say Florida Tech upsets Tampa and gets the AQ.
38:44
SPEAKER_02: So I'm going to go the opposite way.
38:46
SPEAKER_02: We're going to flip from what we did before.
38:48
SPEAKER_02: I think Tampa just takes care of business.
38:51
SPEAKER_02: I think Florida Tech's going to get to the final.
38:54
SPEAKER_02: I think it's going to be a defensive struggle once again.
38:58
SPEAKER_02: I think the lights are going to be a little bit too bright for Florida Tech in the final, and Tampa takes it.
39:02
SPEAKER_02: I think Florida Tech is like, let's go, Tampa.
39:05
SPEAKER_02: Let's go.
39:06
SPEAKER_02: So we've always said this, and this is where I also agree with you.
39:10
SPEAKER_02: It is so tough to beat any team three times in the same season.
39:16
SPEAKER_01: And Florida Tech almost they they've been close both games.
39:21
SPEAKER_01: Tampa barely beat them in both games.
39:23
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
39:23
SPEAKER_01: Barely.
39:24
SPEAKER_01: In the fourth quarter at the end.
39:26
SPEAKER_01: It took defensive, big, big defensive stands in the fourth to come up with those wins.
39:32
SPEAKER_01: I don't know if Florida Tech's going to fall for that this time.
39:35
SPEAKER_01: You know the defense is going to be the same.
39:38
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
39:38
SPEAKER_01: It's going to be more of the same.
39:40
SPEAKER_01: And I think Florida Tech is just going to maybe.
39:44
SPEAKER_02: You're almost convincing me, but I'm going to stick to my guns on this one.
39:47
SPEAKER_02: You're almost convincing me, though.
39:48
SPEAKER_02: I I think that whole three-game thing, it's tough.
39:51
SPEAKER_01: And yeah, I agree.
39:52
SPEAKER_01: And Coach Sullivan's defense is great.
39:55
SPEAKER_01: I mean, again, not crazy about Tampa's offense.
40:01
SPEAKER_01: They don't wow me.
40:02
SPEAKER_01: You know, they don't wow me.
40:04
SPEAKER_01: Their defense, it wows me very much.
40:07
SPEAKER_01: And you know what?
40:08
SPEAKER_01: And MP Thomas and Weston Schmidt, these two specialists, they're grad students.
40:14
SPEAKER_01: They're they're good, man.
40:15
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, they're very good.
40:16
SPEAKER_02: And and that could be a little bit of the difference, is that to me, it face off, not so much at goalie.
40:22
SPEAKER_02: Jack's Francisco is really good.
40:25
SPEAKER_01: I trust that guy in goal every all day, every day, and twice on Sunday.
40:30
SPEAKER_02: It's so funny when you see him, he's small.
40:33
SPEAKER_02: Tiny, tiny in stature.
40:36
SPEAKER_02: And you don't notice it.
40:37
SPEAKER_02: The first time you really notice it is when his defenders, his deep balls, come up next to him.
40:42
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
40:43
SPEAKER_02: And then all of a sudden you see him in the goal, you're like, he is good, though.
40:48
SPEAKER_01: Small in stature, but he got big balls.
40:50
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, he not many go by him.
40:52
SPEAKER_02: He is fun to watch.
40:53
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he's good.
40:54
SPEAKER_01: No.
40:54
SPEAKER_01: And he's fiery.
40:55
SPEAKER_01: He's feisty.
40:56
SPEAKER_01: You know, I love that.
40:57
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, he's he's fun to watch.
41:00
SPEAKER_02: Peach Belt.
41:01
SPEAKER_02: So the play-in game was today.
41:03
SPEAKER_02: It was a rematch of the game that happened this weekend, UAH against Virginia State.
41:08
SPEAKER_02: UAH won this one too, 23-5.
41:12
SPEAKER_02: Kind of figured that would happen.
41:13
SPEAKER_02: Virginia State now in the peach belt in the tournaments, they which is great that they all get to play.
41:19
SPEAKER_02: That is experience that they need.
41:20
SPEAKER_02: Right.
41:21
SPEAKER_02: So now the semis are going to be on Friday.
41:25
SPEAKER_02: It's Lander against Flagler and UAH against Montevallo.
41:31
SPEAKER_02: Who do you think?
41:33
SPEAKER_01: Montevallo over UAH.
41:36
unknown: Yeah.
41:37
SPEAKER_01: That Flagler Lander game.
41:39
SPEAKER_01: I like game.
41:41
SPEAKER_01: I don't think Lander can keep up with Flagler.
41:43
SPEAKER_01: That's just my opinion in this one.
41:46
SPEAKER_01: And it's going to be a repeat of that upset of a couple of weeks ago when Montevallo beat Flagler.
41:53
SPEAKER_01: That's going to be the championship game.
41:56
SPEAKER_01: And I'm going to say that Flagler avenges that loss and upsets Montevallo.
42:09
SPEAKER_01: What say you, Mr.
42:10
SPEAKER_02: Stenstrom?
42:12
SPEAKER_02: I think you're right.
42:14
SPEAKER_02: I think it's a Flagler Montevallo final.
42:20
SPEAKER_02: And I think I'm trying to look up when the actual uh game is because I I I've got it on that the the semis are on Friday and I've got I think this the final is on Sunday, the 26th.
42:37
SPEAKER_02: I do think it's going to be Flagler Montavalo.
42:42
SPEAKER_02: And I can't see Flagler losing twice to Montevallo.
42:46
SPEAKER_02: I think they're that close.
42:46
SPEAKER_02: I think it's just one of those things that's Flagler's going to come back and win.
42:51
SPEAKER_02: But Flagler, I mean Montevallo has looked really good.
42:55
SPEAKER_02: They do recently.
42:57
SPEAKER_02: How they played against Flagler and how they played against Lander.
43:00
SPEAKER_02: I've watched both those games.
43:02
SPEAKER_02: Those guys don't back down.
43:04
SPEAKER_02: Period.
43:04
SPEAKER_01: End of story.
43:05
SPEAKER_01: Gorson's great in goal.
43:07
SPEAKER_01: Maybe another all-American year for that kid.
43:09
SPEAKER_01: I don't know, man.
43:10
SPEAKER_01: But he's tough in goal.
43:12
SPEAKER_01: It's tough to get balls by him.
43:14
SPEAKER_01: Again, it's tough to beat a team twice.
43:16
SPEAKER_01: I just think Flagler comes back and avenges this one.
43:19
SPEAKER_01: I think it's going to be a close one, though, Kev.
43:22
SPEAKER_02: I agree.
43:23
SPEAKER_02: I agree.
43:23
SPEAKER_02: All right, let's move on to the Armac.
43:27
SPEAKER_02: The semis.
43:29
SPEAKER_02: It's Friday the 24th.
43:33
SPEAKER_01: I don't know what to think about this one.
43:35
SPEAKER_01: This is crazy.
43:38
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I don't know what to think about these teams here.
43:40
SPEAKER_02: So Westminster's number one.
43:42
SPEAKER_02: They play against Northwest Nazarene.
43:46
SPEAKER_02: Westminster takes care of that one.
43:50
SPEAKER_02: CMU plays C UI.
43:53
SPEAKER_02: Shaden Shields, their goalie, has been out for he broke his finger.
43:58
SPEAKER_02: Actually, his dad email.
44:00
SPEAKER_02: Messaged us through the podcast website, kept us up to speed.
44:04
SPEAKER_02: He thought he may be coming back, but he actually had to have surgery, so he's out.
44:09
SPEAKER_02: Was that I didn't watch this?
44:10
SPEAKER_02: I wanted to go back and watch the CUI CUM CMU game.
44:14
SPEAKER_02: I have not had the chance, so I don't know if it was just goalie play.
44:18
SPEAKER_02: CUI goalie Brody Woods stepping up.
44:22
SPEAKER_02: He was the defensive player of the week for the RMAC.
44:27
SPEAKER_02: And so is that the difference?
44:31
SPEAKER_02: Can CMU come back in CUI?
44:34
SPEAKER_02: They were now they're one and one against each other regular season.
44:39
SPEAKER_02: I tell you what, I don't see Colorado Mesa, I just see him winning and then going against Westminster.
44:45
SPEAKER_02: And this will be the tie break for that one.
44:48
SPEAKER_02: It'll be the rubber match.
44:49
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
44:51
SPEAKER_01: So I like Mesa over CUI.
44:54
SPEAKER_01: I just think they have a little bit more depth and uh a little bit more experience.
45:00
SPEAKER_01: Uh I I predict Westminster to beat Northwest Nazarene, so I think Mesa and Western beat again in the in the RMAC.
45:10
SPEAKER_01: And this one is a pick'em for me.
45:13
SPEAKER_01: It is.
45:14
SPEAKER_01: It is.
45:15
SPEAKER_01: It's the rubber match.
45:16
SPEAKER_01: I mean, each team won and beat each other.
45:19
SPEAKER_01: It's a pick'em game.
45:21
SPEAKER_01: I don't know what to think about this game.
45:23
SPEAKER_01: My heart and my head is saying Westminster for some reason.
45:29
SPEAKER_01: I that's where I'm leaning, but I'm gonna say pick'em.
45:33
SPEAKER_02: I agree with you, and I agree with you the heart and head thing.
45:36
SPEAKER_02: I go back to what I said in the conference preview that on paper, Westminster looked really, really dangerous this year.
45:44
SPEAKER_02: Yep, yep.
45:45
SPEAKER_02: They had everything on all sides of the field.
45:48
SPEAKER_02: Their goalie play has been really good.
45:51
SPEAKER_02: Their defense stepped up against Colorado Mesa.
45:54
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
45:55
SPEAKER_02: Absolutely.
45:56
SPEAKER_02: It is gonna be a barn burner this game.
46:02
SPEAKER_01: Again, my heart says Westminster for some reason, but I'm gonna I'm gonna say pick them.
46:08
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
46:09
SPEAKER_02: Let's move on to the sack.
46:11
SPEAKER_02: We don't know yet what's gonna happen for the number six seed because there's still games to be played.
46:15
SPEAKER_02: But it looks like Kataba at number four are gonna play Anderson on Saturday, the 25th, and then LR is gonna play whoever the sixth seed is.
46:23
SPEAKER_02: They're the number three.
46:24
SPEAKER_02: So I think whoever that I think LR obviously wins that game.
46:29
SPEAKER_02: It'll be Coker or Tusculum, I think, with uh with the sixth seed.
46:32
SPEAKER_02: One of those two.
46:33
SPEAKER_02: LR.
46:34
SPEAKER_02: LR for that.
46:35
SPEAKER_02: Very, very good.
46:36
SPEAKER_02: What do you think about Kataba Anderson?
46:40
SPEAKER_01: Kotaba beat the snot out of Anderson last time.
46:44
SPEAKER_02: Can they do it again?
46:45
SPEAKER_02: Can they beat him again?
46:47
SPEAKER_01: I think they can.
46:48
SPEAKER_01: You know what?
46:49
SPEAKER_01: They're gonna struggle at face off, though, because Anderson's so good at face off.
46:53
SPEAKER_01: I say Anderson beats him.
46:55
SPEAKER_01: I do too.
46:56
SPEAKER_02: I think I first of all, it's not gonna be Catawba can win this game.
47:02
SPEAKER_02: Hands down, they can win the game.
47:03
SPEAKER_02: I don't think it'll be as much as what would be if they do win against Anderson.
47:07
SPEAKER_02: Anderson's gonna come back, and this game is gonna be no holes barred for them.
47:14
SPEAKER_02: It should be a good game.
47:15
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
47:16
SPEAKER_02: It should be if if there was a game that we were gonna, which we're not doing this week, uh the game of the week, this would be my game of the week right here.
47:23
SPEAKER_02: Taba's in the top ten right now.
47:25
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, they're number 10.
47:26
SPEAKER_02: This is gonna be the game.
47:28
SPEAKER_02: The game.
47:29
SPEAKER_02: And then next Wednesday, it's whoever wins that game between Kataba and Anderson against Wingate and probably LR against Newberry.
47:36
SPEAKER_01: So now in the sack, though, now, Wingate has the bye.
47:42
SPEAKER_01: And so does Newberry.
47:44
SPEAKER_01: So that sack, holy crap, that's a bloodbath, man.
47:49
SPEAKER_02: When it gets to the semis and it's either Catawba or Anderson against Wingate, and it's Lenore Ryan against Newberry.
47:56
SPEAKER_02: I said this early on.
47:58
SPEAKER_02: Those are pick'em games.
48:00
SPEAKER_02: They're top ten matchups.
48:02
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
48:03
SPEAKER_01: They would be big games in regular season.
48:05
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
48:06
SPEAKER_01: You know, and now it's 20 time.
48:09
SPEAKER_01: I think to me, the sack is just a complete bloodbath.
48:14
SPEAKER_01: I mean, whoever gets through that is a really good team because all of those teams are really good, can all beat each other at any time.
48:24
SPEAKER_01: I don't see.
48:27
SPEAKER_01: I think even if Wingate were to lose in the tournament, I still think that they get an NCAA bid.
48:34
SPEAKER_01: So I I think I think the sack gets at least two teams, maybe three, Kev.
48:40
SPEAKER_01: It's possible.
48:42
SPEAKER_02: I agree.
48:43
SPEAKER_02: I that could happen.
48:45
SPEAKER_02: That could definitely happen.
48:47
SPEAKER_01: So that I think that sack is the tournament to watch.
48:51
SPEAKER_01: I mean, that's gonna be the most exciting with the best teams of you know, four or five, six teams of really, really good, man.
48:59
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and I think it's all the other conferences don't have four top ten teams to go through their tournament with.
49:08
SPEAKER_02: This is gonna be, I really think it's a pick um, you know, my heart obviously is with Wingate and the semis, whoever they play, and I think they may be a little bit ahead, but LR Newberry, don't know.
49:20
SPEAKER_02: I really think Anderson Kataba against Wingate, who knows?
49:24
SPEAKER_02: I mean, Wingate has to play Kataaba tomorrow as we record on Tuesday night, so we'll see how that game comes out.
49:29
SPEAKER_02: But just be just because, like I said before, whoever wins that game doesn't mean they're gonna lose if they play again.
49:35
SPEAKER_02: Like that's how close it's gonna be.
49:37
SPEAKER_02: That's right.
49:38
SPEAKER_02: So we'll just have to wait and see, and maybe we'll have to like wait to record until Thursday to find out what the semis happened next Wednesday, the 29th.
49:47
SPEAKER_01: I think the two the two scary teams in in the sack are Wingate and LR.
49:52
SPEAKER_02: I think LR LR is coming on strong.
49:54
SPEAKER_02: I agree with you.
49:54
SPEAKER_02: LR is coming on strong.
49:56
SPEAKER_02: Wingate's looked really good.
49:57
SPEAKER_01: Their defense is coming together now, they're playing really well at the right time.
50:01
SPEAKER_01: And Wingate as well.
50:03
SPEAKER_01: Their defense is young and they've really had some holes in the beginning of the season, but their defense is starting to play really well now, too.
50:10
SPEAKER_01: Those two freshmen are really playing well.
50:13
SPEAKER_01: And you know, both offenses are just ridiculous.
50:16
SPEAKER_01: I mean, yeah.
50:17
SPEAKER_01: Both of them are just ridiculous.
50:19
SPEAKER_01: They're they're both of those offenses are wow offenses.
50:23
SPEAKER_02: Well, and so is Anderson's.
50:25
SPEAKER_01: Yes.
50:25
SPEAKER_02: But their defense is right, right.
50:28
SPEAKER_02: So I don't know if their defense is at the level that Wingate and LR.
50:31
SPEAKER_02: LR, both those defenses are starting to step up.
50:34
SPEAKER_02: I'll tell you the team I have not watched that much at all this year, is Kataba.
50:39
SPEAKER_02: I've just seen the scores.
50:40
SPEAKER_02: I've seen a little bit of it.
50:41
SPEAKER_02: I've now I don't think I've seen a full game of theirs except for the Anderson game.
50:45
SPEAKER_01: I've watched a few of their games.
50:46
SPEAKER_01: They're really good, man.
50:48
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, they're just solid everywhere.
50:50
SPEAKER_01: And they play hard and they play fast.
50:52
SPEAKER_01: And you know what?
50:53
SPEAKER_01: They go after ground balls, they're physical.
50:56
SPEAKER_01: It's the sack.
50:57
SPEAKER_01: They know, you know, Coach Murphy knows you got to be physical in the sack.
51:01
SPEAKER_02: And here's what's interesting about them, I think, is I've said that about another team a couple years ago, and the coach got a little miffed at me.
51:09
SPEAKER_02: Right now, Cataba is the no-name team.
51:12
SPEAKER_02: Like, they don't have yet, I say that yet.
51:18
SPEAKER_02: They don't have a bunch of stars that you know their names.
51:22
SPEAKER_02: When you say their name, they're like, oh yeah, like name them, you know.
51:27
SPEAKER_02: We've we talked about these guys, Raiden Badron and Donnie Powell, and name them off the the other sectees.
51:35
SPEAKER_02: Kyle Lewis, yeah.
51:37
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and then you even Kyle Spence.
51:41
SPEAKER_02: You you they roll off your tongue because you've said them so much.
51:44
SPEAKER_02: Right.
51:44
SPEAKER_02: We haven't said that with Catawba, but guess what?
51:47
SPEAKER_02: They play as a team, and I don't think they care.
51:52
SPEAKER_01: Wins by committee.
51:53
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
51:54
SPEAKER_01: W's by committee.
51:56
SPEAKER_01: And they play team ball, man.
51:57
SPEAKER_01: That's Coach Murphy's good coach.
51:59
SPEAKER_01: Got them, get them Indians playing hard, man.
52:01
SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
52:02
SPEAKER_02: Okay, let's turn to the GLVC.
52:05
SPEAKER_02: Semifinals are on Friday the 24th.
52:09
SPEAKER_02: Lewis against U Indy, and then Maryville, the two seed against Rockhurst.
52:16
SPEAKER_02: Now, both games are up in Lewis.
52:19
SPEAKER_01: I think Maryville beats Rockhurst.
52:23
SPEAKER_01: You do?
52:24
SPEAKER_01: I do.
52:26
SPEAKER_01: Their defense is pretty good, Kev.
52:28
SPEAKER_01: I I like you know, Maryville's defense last year came on strong at the end of the year and played really well against Limestone and in the in the uh NCAAs.
52:39
SPEAKER_01: I mean, I don't count Maryville's defense out.
52:43
SPEAKER_01: I think their defense keeps Rockhurst out of the out of the net, and Maryville wins that one.
52:49
SPEAKER_02: I I'm going the opposite.
52:51
SPEAKER_02: And maybe it's my heart speaking, but I I think let's reverse that for a second.
52:59
SPEAKER_02: Maryville lost to Rockhurst.
53:01
SPEAKER_02: It's tough.
53:02
SPEAKER_02: This is another bloodbath.
53:03
SPEAKER_02: This game is another bloodbath game.
53:05
SPEAKER_02: These two teams know each other.
53:07
SPEAKER_02: Meryville does not want to lose to Rockhurst again.
53:10
SPEAKER_02: All Rockhurst wants is to get back to that podium.
53:14
SPEAKER_02: They all do, actually.
53:15
SPEAKER_02: They all do.
53:16
SPEAKER_02: So I think it's going to be a tough, tough test for Rockhurst, but I'm going to go against, and I'm going to say Rockhurst as the three seed is going to pull it out, upset Maryville, and take that game.
53:26
SPEAKER_02: Wow.
53:26
SPEAKER_02: And if Rockhurst were to be the I think it's going to be the goalie play.
53:32
SPEAKER_01: Because you see, I think Lewis is going to win the GLVC.
53:35
SPEAKER_01: I think they're going to get the AQ.
53:38
SPEAKER_01: But I think that Maryville has a strong.
53:40
SPEAKER_01: If they were to win and go to the championship, I think Meryville's got a strong for an at-large bid.
53:47
SPEAKER_01: For an at-large.
53:48
SPEAKER_01: If they lose to Rockhurst, I don't know if they get an at-large.
53:52
SPEAKER_01: I agree with you.
53:53
SPEAKER_01: That could be tough.
53:55
SPEAKER_01: It could be tough.
53:56
SPEAKER_01: So if they win, I think they have a chance at an at-large.
54:01
SPEAKER_01: If they lose, I think they're out.
54:05
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
54:07
SPEAKER_02: It's it's so tough.
54:08
SPEAKER_02: But I d certainly if they win and they go to the final, I think you're right.
54:12
SPEAKER_02: They've got a very good shot at it.
54:14
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, win or lose.
54:17
SPEAKER_02: In the final.
54:17
SPEAKER_02: Yes.
54:18
SPEAKER_02: Yes.
54:19
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I agree.
54:20
SPEAKER_02: If they don't get the AQ.
54:21
SPEAKER_02: I'm I'm gonna, but I agree with you.
54:23
SPEAKER_02: I think Lewis is just too tough at home.
54:25
SPEAKER_02: I think Lewis takes the whole thing.
54:27
SPEAKER_02: They got some players up there.
54:29
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
54:30
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
54:32
SPEAKER_02: Let us talk any 10.
54:35
SPEAKER_02: The quarters are on Saturday, the 25th.
54:38
SPEAKER_02: Pace goes against Bentley.
54:41
SPEAKER_02: Three against six.
54:42
SPEAKER_02: Bentley won the regular season 13-11.
54:44
SPEAKER_02: And then Assumption and St.
54:46
SPEAKER_02: Mike's.
54:47
SPEAKER_02: With Assumption winning the regular season 11-10.
54:52
SPEAKER_02: What do you think about those two games?
54:54
SPEAKER_01: I think Pace avenges that loss against Bentley's game.
54:57
SPEAKER_01: I agree with you.
54:58
SPEAKER_01: I agree with you.
54:58
SPEAKER_01: And I think Assumption beats St.
55:00
SPEAKER_01: Mike's again.
55:01
SPEAKER_01: I agree with you there, too.
55:02
SPEAKER_01: It's going to be at a time.
55:03
SPEAKER_01: It's going to be another close game because that was like a one-two-goal game.
55:06
SPEAKER_02: It was a one-goal game, 11-10.
55:07
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
55:08
SPEAKER_01: So I think that's going to be another one, but I think Assumption.
55:11
SPEAKER_02: I think Assumption's just a little bit better team.
55:15
SPEAKER_02: St.
55:16
SPEAKER_02: Mike's, though, look at they beat Bentley.
55:19
SPEAKER_01: Dude, it's like that that four, five, six in the NE ten.
55:24
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
55:25
SPEAKER_01: It's anybody's game.
55:26
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
55:27
SPEAKER_01: And they're all good.
55:28
SPEAKER_01: They're all good.
55:28
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, they are.
55:31
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, they're they're just really, really close.
55:34
SPEAKER_02: But you know.
55:35
SPEAKER_02: But I agree with you.
55:35
SPEAKER_02: I think it's pace against Assumption.
55:37
SPEAKER_02: So then Adelphi is going to play whoever wins Assumption, St.
55:41
SPEAKER_02: Mike's.
55:41
SPEAKER_02: We say Assumption.
55:42
SPEAKER_02: So that'd be against Adelphi.
55:43
SPEAKER_02: That's the the semis are on Wednesday the 29th.
55:46
SPEAKER_02: And then pace against St.
55:48
SPEAKER_02: A's if pace wins.
55:49
SPEAKER_02: Again.
55:50
SPEAKER_02: Wow.
55:51
SPEAKER_02: Watch out for that one.
55:53
SPEAKER_01: That is going to be a really, really good game in the NE 10.
55:58
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
55:59
SPEAKER_01: So like that comes again.
56:00
SPEAKER_01: In the NE 10, I think there's possible three teams that get in.
56:05
SPEAKER_01: I think there's an AQ, and I think a Delphi.
56:08
SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
56:08
SPEAKER_01: I don't see anybody beating a Delphi.
56:10
SPEAKER_01: Do you?
56:10
SPEAKER_02: I don't either.
56:11
SPEAKER_02: I I think it'll be tough.
56:13
SPEAKER_02: I just don't see it happening.
56:15
SPEAKER_02: We've talked about this several times.
56:18
SPEAKER_02: Pace or St.
56:19
SPEAKER_02: A's probably have the best chance, either one of them, of beating a Delphi.
56:22
SPEAKER_02: Either one of them, I think, is going to go into the final.
56:26
SPEAKER_02: I I just A Delphi's just so strong.
56:29
SPEAKER_02: I I couldn't bet against them.
56:30
unknown: Yeah.
56:31
SPEAKER_01: Couldn't bet against them.
56:32
SPEAKER_01: I either can I until, you know, until somebody can knock them off.
56:36
SPEAKER_01: Again, I think St.
56:37
SPEAKER_01: A's and Pace both have what it takes to knock them off.
56:42
SPEAKER_01: Can they do it?
56:44
SPEAKER_01: Because they got the guys.
56:45
SPEAKER_01: They got the team.
56:46
SPEAKER_01: It was the both of those games were close, man.
56:48
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
56:49
SPEAKER_01: You know, Pace was they're good.
56:51
SPEAKER_01: They're good.
56:52
SPEAKER_01: So let's say a Delphi wins it all.
56:55
SPEAKER_01: St.
56:55
SPEAKER_01: A's goes to the championship.
56:57
SPEAKER_01: Does Pace get in?
57:00
SPEAKER_01: I think they do.
57:01
SPEAKER_02: I think they have a very good shot.
57:03
SPEAKER_02: I think if they lost, if they lose to Bentley in the quarters, that could be the death knell.
57:08
SPEAKER_01: Then they're out.
57:09
SPEAKER_02: But if they make it to the semis, if we look at the North Region.
57:13
SPEAKER_01: Well, look at the teams that they lost to, number one and number three.
57:16
SPEAKER_01: And then they lost to Bentley.
57:18
SPEAKER_01: Right.
57:18
SPEAKER_01: Which was they were ranked as well.
57:20
SPEAKER_02: And they lost to Malloy, but Malloy is up at top, you know, 15 team.
57:24
SPEAKER_02: Like, right.
57:24
SPEAKER_02: So like talking about in conference.
57:27
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, in conference.
57:28
SPEAKER_02: But I'm I'm saying also region, because then when you go into region and other things for the NCAAs, but I think they've got the resume.
57:35
SPEAKER_02: Now they lose to Bentley in the quarters, it could be tough.
57:38
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Malloy's probably going to get the AQ in that.
57:41
SPEAKER_01: I don't see anybody beating them.
57:42
SPEAKER_01: That's just me.
57:43
SPEAKER_01: Right.
57:44
SPEAKER_01: So does does pace with a semifinal loss get in?
57:52
SPEAKER_02: I I think I say they do.
57:54
SPEAKER_02: I think they have a very, very good.
57:56
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I I agree.
57:57
SPEAKER_02: I once again, you look at the other teams in the North region, it's tough, it's tough to not say that Pace should get in.
58:07
SPEAKER_02: That's right.
58:08
SPEAKER_02: Just because of the strength of schedule, who they play, etc.
58:11
SPEAKER_02: etc.
58:12
SPEAKER_01: Just who are the four best teams in the North?
58:15
SPEAKER_01: I think that they all come, you know, it's a Delphi, I think it's St.
58:20
SPEAKER_01: A's, and I think it's Pace.
58:22
SPEAKER_01: And then who's next in the North?
58:25
SPEAKER_02: You may you may say, like, Malloy.
58:28
SPEAKER_02: Maybe a Frostburg, maybe a Mercy.
58:30
SPEAKER_02: I mean, they're both, I think, in the hunt right now, but Malloy?
58:34
SPEAKER_02: Well, Malloy's gonna get the AQ.
58:36
SPEAKER_01: Malloy would definitely who are the four best teams in the North.
58:39
SPEAKER_02: Who are the four best teams?
58:40
SPEAKER_02: What Delphi, St.
58:42
SPEAKER_02: A's.
58:43
SPEAKER_02: St.
58:43
SPEAKER_01: A's.
58:44
SPEAKER_01: Gotta consider pace.
58:45
SPEAKER_02: I'd put Malloy up there.
58:46
SPEAKER_02: I would definitely put Malloy up there.
58:48
SPEAKER_01: I think they're the four top best teams.
58:50
SPEAKER_01: Seton Hills in the North.
58:52
SPEAKER_01: I would put Seton Hill up there.
58:54
SPEAKER_01: I don't know, man.
58:56
SPEAKER_01: Like I was thinking the other day, I'm like, who are the four best teams out of each region, you know?
59:02
SPEAKER_01: Seton Hill.
59:04
SPEAKER_02: The the tough thing for Seton Hill every year is the is the rest of the GMAC schedule they've got.
59:10
SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
59:10
SPEAKER_02: You know, that and that's not their fault.
59:12
SPEAKER_02: No.
59:13
SPEAKER_02: They play a good out of conference, they play it well, they make, you know, so I would say, but that's what makes it tough for them when they get into the NCAAs, is they've now they haven't played the competition they need to throughout the season to keep them sharp, I think.
59:29
SPEAKER_01: Those edges aren't the sword edges aren't sharp at that point.
59:33
SPEAKER_01: You know, they've been playing kind of pancakes the last couple of weeks.
59:36
SPEAKER_02: Let's so let's talk about the GMAC tournament.
59:38
SPEAKER_02: So the first round is on Saturday.
59:40
SPEAKER_02: It looks like it's Thomas More who beat Tiffin tonight as the number six seed against Davenport, the number three seed, and then Walsh against Wheeling as four and five.
59:52
SPEAKER_02: And I say, I see Davenport beating Thomas Moore, and I see Walsh beating Wheeling.
59:57
SPEAKER_02: Me too.
59:58
SPEAKER_02: Same thing.
59:58
SPEAKER_02: So Northwood then would play Davenport again.
1:00:03
SPEAKER_02: And Seaton Hill would play Walsh.
1:00:08
SPEAKER_01: So it's a Northwood Seaton Hill Championship.
1:00:12
SPEAKER_01: You like Davenport?
1:00:14
SPEAKER_02: I I want to say that Davenport revenges this past game against Northwood.
1:00:21
SPEAKER_02: I got I I like Northwood in this game.
1:00:24
SPEAKER_02: So then it's okay, you've got Northwood, I've got Davenport.
1:00:27
SPEAKER_02: The only one we've disagreed so far.
1:00:29
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
1:00:30
SPEAKER_02: Except I said Rockhurst and you said Maryville.
1:00:32
SPEAKER_02: That's the only other one.
1:00:33
SPEAKER_02: That's right.
1:00:34
SPEAKER_02: Uh so Seton Hill against the field, it's Seton Hill.
1:00:38
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, pretty much.
1:00:39
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
1:00:40
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
1:00:40
SPEAKER_02: All right, let's look at the CACC.
1:00:42
SPEAKER_02: We've got a couple left.
1:00:44
SPEAKER_02: CACC, first round is Holy Family against Post.
1:00:47
SPEAKER_02: This is gonna be a really good game.
1:00:50
SPEAKER_02: Georgian Court is out of the tournament because of the loss to Holy Family in the regular season.
1:00:56
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, Georgian Court had a rough year this year, man.
1:00:59
SPEAKER_02: Post won the first game against Holy Family 14-13.
1:01:03
SPEAKER_02: The game is home for Post.
1:01:07
SPEAKER_02: I'm feeling an upset though.
1:01:09
SPEAKER_02: I think Holy Family takes it.
1:01:10
SPEAKER_02: I like Post at home.
1:01:12
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
1:01:12
SPEAKER_02: Okay, so we disagree.
1:01:14
SPEAKER_02: I I just I could go either way.
1:01:17
SPEAKER_02: But I'm gonna say Holy Family, what the heck?
1:01:20
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I'm saying post, what the heck.
1:01:22
SPEAKER_02: C A C C semis then is gonna be uh Holy Family or Post against Wilmington number one, and then Bridgeport against Chestnut Hill.
1:01:31
SPEAKER_01: Chestnut Hill over Bridgeport Wilmington.
1:01:35
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
1:01:37
SPEAKER_02: So it's gonna be Wilmington, Chestnut Hill.
1:01:41
SPEAKER_02: It's I gotta pick Wilmington.
1:01:42
SPEAKER_02: They've just been hands down the best team in the CACC this year.
1:01:47
SPEAKER_02: Now, Chestnut Hill could do, could beat him.
1:01:51
SPEAKER_02: Make me eat Crow.
1:01:53
SPEAKER_02: And actually, I think that would be really cool to see if they did it.
1:01:55
SPEAKER_02: Not again, not because I don't want to see Wilmington win.
1:01:58
SPEAKER_02: I just, you know, it's just so funny that we always don't pick Chestnut Hill until for last year.
1:02:02
SPEAKER_01: Wilmington's undefeated in conference, aren't they?
1:02:04
SPEAKER_01: Yes.
1:02:05
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I like Wilmington over Georgian Court.
1:02:08
SPEAKER_01: I mean uh Chestnut Hill.
1:02:09
SPEAKER_01: Boy, oh boy, that Chestnut Hill's scary, though.
1:02:12
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
1:02:12
SPEAKER_01: They could pull it off.
1:02:14
SPEAKER_03: I agree.
1:02:14
SPEAKER_01: But I like Wilmington, though.
1:02:17
SPEAKER_02: I agree.
1:02:18
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
1:02:18
SPEAKER_02: This is the last one.
1:02:20
SPEAKER_02: ECC's the semis are actually next Wednesday.
1:02:23
SPEAKER_02: So it's uh Malloy versus Roberts Wesleyan and Frostburg versus Mercy.
1:02:31
SPEAKER_02: Now, Frostburg beat Mercy 13-12 first time.
1:02:34
SPEAKER_02: They frostburg State when they played in the in-season.
1:02:38
SPEAKER_02: Malloy against Roberts Wesleyan.
1:02:40
SPEAKER_02: I gotta go with Malloy.
1:02:42
unknown: Yeah.
1:02:43
SPEAKER_02: I like Frostback.
1:02:44
SPEAKER_02: Frostburg's.
1:02:44
SPEAKER_02: What do you think about Frostburg State Mercy?
1:02:46
SPEAKER_01: I say Mercy avenges the Frostburg.
1:02:50
SPEAKER_01: And I say Malloy beats Mercy again.
1:02:52
SPEAKER_01: I agree.
1:02:53
SPEAKER_01: And we're in agreement on that one.
1:02:55
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
1:02:55
SPEAKER_01: Malloy's going, they're just good, man.
1:02:57
SPEAKER_01: They're a good team.
1:02:58
SPEAKER_01: They'll go back.
1:03:00
SPEAKER_01: They play fast.
1:03:01
SPEAKER_01: They play hard.
1:03:02
SPEAKER_01: They get after it.
1:03:03
SPEAKER_01: McCabe on defense.
1:03:04
SPEAKER_01: Kofott on defense.
1:03:06
SPEAKER_01: And then Fence is pretty good, too, man.
1:03:11
SPEAKER_02: They're tough.
1:03:12
SPEAKER_02: They've got a good set of offensive players, too, with Hammond and Taylor.
1:03:18
SPEAKER_02: Absolutely, man.
1:03:19
SPEAKER_02: They're good.
1:03:20
SPEAKER_01: They're a good squad.
1:03:21
SPEAKER_01: And you know what?
1:03:22
SPEAKER_01: Excellently well coached.
1:03:24
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
1:03:24
SPEAKER_01: Just play the game right.
1:03:26
SPEAKER_01: They don't make a lot of mistakes.
1:03:27
SPEAKER_01: They they play they play good, good brand of ball.
1:03:31
SPEAKER_02: Except for the game against Mercy when there was like 14 penalties.
1:03:35
SPEAKER_01: Well, that game was that in particular the first quarter.
1:03:38
SPEAKER_02: You know, once that first quarter was uh they were I tell you, I think that was not the penalties, but that they were sending a message.
1:03:46
SPEAKER_02: That's right.
1:03:47
SPEAKER_02: I but I totally believe that.
1:03:48
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that long.
1:03:49
SPEAKER_02: Coach Dunn will have to tell me differently.
1:03:51
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, they're like, no, you're coming into our field.
1:03:53
SPEAKER_02: This is our game.
1:03:55
SPEAKER_02: 100%.
1:05:03
SPEAKER_02: As the song says, Danny, time for the player spotlight.
1:05:08
SPEAKER_02: My favorite part, Kev.
1:05:09
SPEAKER_02: My favorite part.
1:05:11
SPEAKER_02: I know.
1:05:11
SPEAKER_02: Once again, another player we have watched for years.
1:05:16
SPEAKER_02: Unfortunately, I've been pronouncing his name wrong his entire college career.
1:05:22
SPEAKER_02: Me too.
1:05:23
SPEAKER_02: And with a name like Stenstrom, I can empathize.
1:05:27
SPEAKER_02: And I if talking to you just now, you can emperor empathize through with a name like Moran that some people have gotten wrong in the past.
1:05:35
SPEAKER_02: But yeah, it's not his name why we're having him on, it's his play.
1:05:42
SPEAKER_02: Last year, Danny, he was GLVC goalkeeper of the year, sir, first team all GLVC, USI All American, honorable mention, and USILA all region.
1:05:57
SPEAKER_02: And if you've been watching him this year.
1:06:00
SPEAKER_02: I have no doubt he's going to be collecting some of those same accolades this year.
1:06:05
SPEAKER_01: No, he's got All American coming this year for sure.
1:06:08
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
1:06:08
SPEAKER_02: So let's welcome him in Brock Olilla for the Rockhurst Hawks.
1:06:14
SPEAKER_02: Well, uh that's my first question.
1:06:16
SPEAKER_02: All right.
1:06:18
SPEAKER_02: Welcome, Brock.
1:06:20
SPEAKER_02: How you doing?
1:06:21
SPEAKER_00: I'm doing great.
1:06:21
SPEAKER_00: Thanks for having me, guys.
1:06:22
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
1:06:23
SPEAKER_02: For all our fans, and as I apologize to you right now and your parents for three, four years going, I've said it incorrectly.
1:06:33
SPEAKER_02: Set me straight.
1:06:34
SPEAKER_02: How do you say your last name?
1:06:36
SPEAKER_00: It is Olala.
1:06:38
SPEAKER_02: Olala.
1:06:39
SPEAKER_00: Olala.
1:06:40
SPEAKER_00: Yep.
1:06:41
SPEAKER_00: All right.
1:06:42
SPEAKER_02: I love it.
1:06:43
SPEAKER_02: I'll try not to get now.
1:06:44
SPEAKER_02: Danny have I done have done this before where we got the name correct.
1:06:48
SPEAKER_02: Someone told us what how to pronounce it, and we still pronounced it wrong on the podcast.
1:06:52
SPEAKER_02: So we I can't guarantee anything, but we're going to try our hardest as you finish up your college career to say it correctly.
1:07:00
SPEAKER_01: Yep.
1:07:01
SPEAKER_01: So we'll just call him Brock tonight.
1:07:03
SPEAKER_01: How about that?
1:07:04
SPEAKER_01: That just that would just be the easiest thing to do.
1:07:07
SPEAKER_01: How's that?
1:07:08
SPEAKER_02: It it is funny.
1:07:09
SPEAKER_02: It is funny, Brock, because I was listening, watching uh the game against Meryville, and I'm listening to your broadcasters, and I'm like, oh my gosh.
1:07:20
SPEAKER_02: If he's actually saying that name correctly, which he should be, because he's a Rod cop Rockers broadcaster, I've been screwing this up for way too long.
1:07:28
SPEAKER_02: So once again, I apologize.
1:07:30
SPEAKER_02: But let's start off, you hail from Hugo, Minnesota, which both Danny and I can pronounce, unlike some others in Minnesota.
1:07:38
SPEAKER_02: And we can even pronounce your high school, White Bear Blair Lake.
1:07:41
SPEAKER_02: White Bear Lake.
1:07:42
SPEAKER_01: You can't pronounce it.
1:07:43
SPEAKER_02: I can't.
1:07:44
SPEAKER_02: I'm already tongue-tied.
1:07:45
SPEAKER_02: White Bear Lake.
1:07:46
SPEAKER_02: Tell us about your lacrosse journey in Minnesota and why goalie.
1:07:52
SPEAKER_00: Okay, so I grew up playing hockey my whole life and then uh got a couple of concussions.
1:07:57
SPEAKER_00: Doctor kind of told me no more.
1:07:59
SPEAKER_00: Uh, so I had to find something new.
1:08:01
SPEAKER_00: And uh it actually came from Maryville's face-off guy, Shea Rayburn, good, good buddy of mine from high school.
1:08:07
SPEAKER_00: Um, was already playing lacrosse.
1:08:09
SPEAKER_00: He's like, Hey, come try it out, you'll love it.
1:08:11
SPEAKER_00: And I was like, All right, I'm in.
1:08:13
SPEAKER_00: First game, uh, coach wanted to put me in.
1:08:15
SPEAKER_00: I told him nope, because I had no idea what was going on.
1:08:18
SPEAKER_00: I was so confused.
1:08:19
SPEAKER_00: I was like, I don't get any of this.
1:08:21
SPEAKER_00: And then the second game, our goalie got hurt and I forgot my pads.
1:08:26
SPEAKER_00: And I was like, hey, I understand goalie, just keep the ball out of the net.
1:08:29
SPEAKER_00: That's all I need to know.
1:08:30
SPEAKER_00: And I went in and I loved it ever since.
1:08:32
SPEAKER_00: And I was like, I understand this.
1:08:33
SPEAKER_00: The guys loved me in there, and it was kind of a fearless thing, like it was just kind of came a little bit naturally there, and I stuck with it.
1:08:40
SPEAKER_00: Would you you were in high school when you started?
1:08:43
SPEAKER_00: I started in seventh grade.
1:08:45
SPEAKER_01: Okay, wow, that's late.
1:08:47
SPEAKER_01: That's late, you know, considering.
1:08:49
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
1:08:50
SPEAKER_02: So you left hockey.
1:08:54
SPEAKER_02: What position did you play in hockey?
1:08:55
SPEAKER_00: I was a defender.
1:08:57
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
1:08:57
SPEAKER_02: And and you go into goalie, you left hockey because of concussions, and you go into goal to play lacrosse.
1:09:06
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I'm gonna launch balls at 110 miles in that hour at you.
1:09:11
SPEAKER_02: Like, like we've always said, Brock, Danny, I say this all the time: goalies are a little bit crazy.
1:09:16
SPEAKER_02: That's why we like them the best out of any position because they've got to have a screw loose to go there.
1:09:20
SPEAKER_02: You go, oh well, I don't have any pads on with me.
1:09:24
SPEAKER_02: So just put me in the goal, coach, because our other guy is injured.
1:09:27
SPEAKER_02: Let me just try that.
1:09:28
SPEAKER_02: And did you really like it from the right when you started?
1:09:31
SPEAKER_00: I I did.
1:09:32
SPEAKER_00: I mean, I it I found it so fun.
1:09:34
SPEAKER_00: I tried hockey goalie for a little bit and I loved it, but I was terrible.
1:09:38
SPEAKER_00: I was just not good at it, so they moved me out of there.
1:09:42
SPEAKER_00: Uh I was just seeing the ball pretty well, kind of right away.
1:09:46
SPEAKER_00: And I had super my coaches then were uh all seniors on the varsity team at White Bear the year they won state.
1:09:53
SPEAKER_00: And so they had the varsity goalie come in and he would coach me up every day, and he kind of just got me glued to it and just told me to stick at it, stick at it.
1:10:01
SPEAKER_00: And uh, I mean, I stuck with it and it brought me the rockers.
1:10:04
SPEAKER_02: That's so let me let me let me ask you this first.
1:10:09
SPEAKER_02: Did you when did you start like when you when did you start as the starting goalie in your high school team for varsity?
1:10:17
SPEAKER_02: Was it wasn't your fresh was it your freshman year, or did you have to wait?
1:10:19
SPEAKER_02: You have to sit out for a while and wait.
1:10:21
SPEAKER_00: I had to wait.
1:10:22
SPEAKER_00: So freshman year, I was on JV.
1:10:24
SPEAKER_00: Uh, we had a fifth or uh senior goalie who was insane.
1:10:28
SPEAKER_00: Um, and then sophomore year would have been when I would have started, but we had that covet, so our season got canceled.
1:10:34
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
1:10:35
SPEAKER_00: So I ended up starting junior and senior year on varsity.
1:10:38
SPEAKER_02: So how did you get to Rockhurst with really only two years of varsity play?
1:10:45
SPEAKER_02: Were you a late recruit?
1:10:46
SPEAKER_02: How what was your crew recruiting journey like?
1:10:48
SPEAKER_02: Did you play club ball?
1:10:50
SPEAKER_00: I did.
1:10:50
SPEAKER_00: I played for Team Minnesota, so I mean we were going out, we were going out east, and I we played that summer too, that COVID summer.
1:10:56
SPEAKER_00: So yeah.
1:10:57
SPEAKER_00: Um, but really the big thing was Coach Kelly loves the Minnesota boys.
1:11:01
SPEAKER_00: I mean, I'm sure you've seen there is like 70% of our teams from Minnesota.
1:11:05
SPEAKER_02: So does Maryville.
1:11:07
SPEAKER_00: Yep.
1:11:08
SPEAKER_00: So we kind of have that pipeline going, and we had a guy my freshman year, he was a uh senior, I believe.
1:11:16
SPEAKER_00: His name was Ricky Bloom, and he played at Rockhurst.
1:11:19
SPEAKER_00: Um and so I was good buddies with Ricky.
1:11:23
SPEAKER_00: And that I kind of just talked to him and he's like, Hey, come check out Rockhurst.
1:11:26
SPEAKER_00: And I kind of got connected to Coach Kelly through that.
1:11:28
SPEAKER_00: And Coach Kelly knows Hussack at White Bear, and it's like, let's go give it a shot.
1:11:33
SPEAKER_00: And I went down there for a visit and just immediately fell in love with it.
1:11:36
SPEAKER_00: And it was kind of just a no-brainer.
1:11:39
SPEAKER_02: So, did you look anywhere else, or was that like your number one choice?
1:11:42
SPEAKER_00: And you're just I looked at a couple different spots.
1:11:47
SPEAKER_00: Um, like early on, I would was talking to Detroit Mercy for a little bit, um, kind of bounced around a couple D3s.
1:11:55
SPEAKER_00: And when I just got the Rockers, Coach Kelly was the coach that was just the realest guy.
1:12:00
SPEAKER_00: He really didn't care right away about my play.
1:12:02
SPEAKER_00: He was just wanted the best for you, and he made that very apparent right away.
1:12:07
SPEAKER_00: Um, but I also loved that he wouldn't show us the locker room because he called it the gritty locker room, the blue collar locker room.
1:12:14
SPEAKER_00: You're not allowed to go in there.
1:12:16
SPEAKER_00: It was it was rough at the time.
1:12:19
SPEAKER_00: So he wouldn't even show us that.
1:12:20
SPEAKER_00: And he's like, the team is just all grit.
1:12:23
SPEAKER_00: It was our motto.
1:12:23
SPEAKER_00: It's just a grit team.
1:12:24
SPEAKER_00: We may not have the best stuff, but we're the hardest working team, and that just immediately sold me.
1:12:29
SPEAKER_00: I was I was bought in.
1:12:31
SPEAKER_02: So now, do you have a better locker room now than when you were recruited?
1:12:36
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we got an upgrade, all right.
1:12:38
SPEAKER_00: We got a nice upgrade.
1:12:40
SPEAKER_02: Look at that smile, Danny.
1:12:41
SPEAKER_02: He's like, Oh, yeah, baby, we got we got an upgrade.
1:12:44
SPEAKER_02: That's awesome.
1:12:45
SPEAKER_02: That is so funny.
1:12:48
SPEAKER_02: You're at a 65% save percentage this year.
1:12:51
SPEAKER_02: Ridiculous.
1:12:52
SPEAKER_02: That's ridiculous.
1:12:55
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, beating all previous Danny, like if you look at his progression, it's like 52, which is great.
1:13:00
SPEAKER_02: As you start, you know, when you started your sophomore year, you were at like 52%, and then you went up to 54, 55%.
1:13:07
SPEAKER_02: You jumped at 10% this year.
1:13:11
SPEAKER_02: How have you grown in the position over your those few years, the last four years at Rockhurst?
1:13:18
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so I think the biggest thing for me, what I had to work on a lot was my angles.
1:13:25
SPEAKER_00: And I like I do a lot of private training for other goalies around the area, just youth kids.
1:13:30
SPEAKER_00: Um, what I teach them the most is I think angles are some of the kind of most slept on goalie processes and teachings.
1:13:38
SPEAKER_00: Um, I like to kind of play a high crease here and there and really attack that ball.
1:13:42
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
1:13:43
SPEAKER_00: And I think this year I really kind of solidified my spots and my angles to take away just enough net and get aggressive in there.
1:13:50
SPEAKER_00: And I think that's led to a lot of success.
1:13:53
SPEAKER_01: Wow, you're that you're the first goalie that came in here and started talking about angles and you know, other guys just like I'm just out there just trying to stop balls.
1:14:01
SPEAKER_01: And I you know, but there is a science to it, I guess, you know.
1:14:04
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think angles was the biggest thing for me.
1:14:07
SPEAKER_00: I mean, of course, they're just trying to stop balls, and I think once you you get a first couple in a game and you're like, all right, the ball's looking like a beach ball today.
1:14:14
SPEAKER_00: Right.
1:14:15
SPEAKER_02: Was that what so talk to about the Maryville game 80% save percentage?
1:14:20
SPEAKER_02: Was that ball just huge to you?
1:14:22
SPEAKER_00: Because you were making it was just one of those things where it kind of all fell aligned.
1:14:29
SPEAKER_00: It was senior day.
1:14:30
SPEAKER_00: I mean, the all of the senior guys that you know I've grown with here for four years now.
1:14:35
SPEAKER_00: We all just kind of came together that whole week and were like, hey, let's let's go shock the world, let's go take down Meryville.
1:14:41
SPEAKER_00: Um, and I think we just had such a good energy going into that game.
1:14:46
SPEAKER_00: Everybody was fearless, just ready to go.
1:14:49
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you could see it in that game across your defense, especially your defense.
1:14:53
SPEAKER_02: Your offense played well too, obviously, but the the defense helping you up, but you made some unbelievable saves.
1:14:59
SPEAKER_02: You did the same thing in the Lewis game, which you just lost.
1:15:03
SPEAKER_02: I mean, you have kept your team in a lot of games.
1:15:06
SPEAKER_02: What do you attribute that to?
1:15:10
SPEAKER_00: My defense.
1:15:11
SPEAKER_00: Uh, they make they make the saves that I make look easy.
1:15:16
SPEAKER_00: It's because they are, because the defense puts them into a spot that I want the shots coming from.
1:15:21
SPEAKER_00: I mean, Avery Moody is I'm sitting there as soon as he's on ball, I'm telling him down the alley, he forces them that way almost every time.
1:15:28
SPEAKER_00: And he gives them a good jab right as they pull back to shoot, so they're shooting offline, a lot less power on that.
1:15:33
SPEAKER_00: So it makes the save look a lot easier than what it should be.
1:15:36
SPEAKER_00: That's because of our on-ball defenders.
1:15:38
SPEAKER_00: I mean, those guys sell out for everything, they listen to everything that we're quarterbacking to them.
1:15:43
SPEAKER_00: I mean, they're just a solid crew, very young, too.
1:15:46
SPEAKER_00: So it's been uh it's been a ride of immaturity early on this year, and you know, we had a little worry coming in, and once we saw them play, we're like, all right, we got a we got a solid D core.
1:15:58
SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
1:15:59
SPEAKER_01: Now you're in the top 20, you've moved moved up to 17 as of today.
1:16:03
SPEAKER_01: How's that feel to have the Hawks in the top 20 and in the hunt?
1:16:07
SPEAKER_00: It it's awesome.
1:16:09
SPEAKER_00: I think uh, you know, I think everybody kind of sleeps on us a little bit here and there.
1:16:14
SPEAKER_00: Um, our team is we've been in and out, right?
1:16:17
SPEAKER_00: We started the year in it, and then when we got out, we're like, hey, everybody's underestimating us.
1:16:22
SPEAKER_00: We're always underdogs, and I think no matter where we're ranked, I think our mentality as a team is always just be an underdog.
1:16:28
SPEAKER_00: Like nobody's rooting for you, just go out and win.
1:16:32
SPEAKER_01: Right.
1:16:32
SPEAKER_01: But now the GLVC is it's just as much yours as it is anybody else's in there, I think.
1:16:38
SPEAKER_01: What do you think?
1:16:39
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's always a battle between those GLVC teams.
1:16:42
SPEAKER_00: I mean, it doesn't matter who you're playing, what day it is, rain or shine.
1:16:45
SPEAKER_00: Uh, it is just a hard-fought game, just blood boiling between the two teams.
1:16:51
SPEAKER_00: I mean, obviously, after the game, I know a lot of those guys grew up with a lot of those guys or just played these last four years, so it's always love after the game.
1:16:59
SPEAKER_00: But during those games, it is a bloodbath.
1:17:01
SPEAKER_02: It is you want to beat them to a pulp.
1:17:05
SPEAKER_00: Yes, it always has been.
1:17:07
SPEAKER_00: Every single year I've been here.
1:17:09
SPEAKER_00: You just cannot wait to get to this time of the year to go out there and just give them whatever you can.
1:17:15
SPEAKER_00: So before we get, I I like I like what Rockhurst is doing.
1:17:19
SPEAKER_02: You know, Kevin's I had you number seven in my top preseason top 20, and I got a lot of crap for during the year, and you guys had some losses, which was well deserved, but you guys are coming back.
1:17:34
SPEAKER_02: You guys are coming back at the right time, gelling at the right time.
1:17:37
SPEAKER_02: To what do you think?
1:17:39
SPEAKER_02: It's basically a three-way tie for the the regular season.
1:17:44
SPEAKER_02: What do you think about the GLVC tournament and coming forward?
1:17:48
SPEAKER_00: I cannot wait to go out and have to face off with Meryville again.
1:17:53
SPEAKER_00: I I think that is one of my favorite games of the year.
1:17:56
SPEAKER_00: It's probably my favorite game of the year, just because I know so many of those guys.
1:18:01
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like and Justin Simonson played Team Minnesota with me for like six years.
1:18:06
SPEAKER_00: Oh, wow, okay.
1:18:07
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Kuvol I played against in high school.
1:18:10
SPEAKER_02: So, how much do you jaw back and forth before the game?
1:18:13
SPEAKER_02: Do you guys have any tech streams?
1:18:15
SPEAKER_00: No, no, we really don't.
1:18:16
SPEAKER_00: Um, there's some stuff pre-season that goes on, but once we're in season, we're we try to stay apart and uh keep our separate ways and stick with our teams.
1:18:26
SPEAKER_00: But I it's gonna be a battle up in Lewis this weekend.
1:18:30
SPEAKER_00: And I uh everybody on our team is just pumped.
1:18:33
SPEAKER_00: You know, after that loss against Lewis, we're all pissed off, we're ready to go, and we're just putting a putting together a game plan now.
1:18:39
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, Lewis had their usual home field advantage.
1:18:42
SPEAKER_02: That's the way I look at it.
1:18:43
SPEAKER_02: It's always I swear to God, it's always windy up there.
1:18:46
SPEAKER_02: It's I heard it on the on the broadcast, the stream, wind blowing.
1:18:51
SPEAKER_02: They play very, very tough at home.
1:18:54
SPEAKER_02: Are you, I assume you're hoping like to to get back to them again.
1:18:59
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I would want to play them again.
1:19:01
SPEAKER_00: I uh, you know, it was a it was a hard fog game.
1:19:04
SPEAKER_00: I think there was our issue in that one was just a lot of 50-50 ground balls that we could just not pick up.
1:19:10
SPEAKER_00: Um, so that's been a big emphasis, especially today in practice.
1:19:13
SPEAKER_00: That ball is gold.
1:19:14
SPEAKER_00: That ball's got to be ours on the ground, right?
1:19:17
SPEAKER_00: Um, but we are excited to play Lewis again.
1:19:19
SPEAKER_00: I mean, that's just that's right behind Meryville as a top game of the year ever since uh probably my freshman year.
1:19:25
SPEAKER_00: I mean, our alumni love Lewis, we'll just love playing Lewis.
1:19:30
SPEAKER_00: It is a gritty game, it's always a little chippy, always love at the end, but just chippy during that game, and everybody gets excited.
1:19:36
SPEAKER_01: You get a lot of alumni coming to the games like the big ones.
1:19:39
SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
1:19:40
SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah.
1:19:40
SPEAKER_00: They probably won't drive the uh eight hours up to Lewis, but if it's a home game, I won't.
1:19:44
SPEAKER_00: If you can see uh from the camera angle, you can't behind our bench.
1:19:49
SPEAKER_00: We probably have 30 to 40 alumni back there just screaming their heads off.
1:19:53
SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's good.
1:19:54
SPEAKER_00: That's awesome.
1:19:54
SPEAKER_01: That's awesome.
1:19:55
SPEAKER_01: I'll tell you, man, Rockhurst is the scary team in the GLVC this year.
1:19:58
SPEAKER_01: I would not want to be the team to have to face a Rockhurst Hawk team.
1:20:03
SPEAKER_01: You guys are gelling at the right time, like Kevin said, and you're in goal with 63%.
1:20:08
SPEAKER_01: It's tough to get balls by you, man.
1:20:10
SPEAKER_01: It's I think you guys got a really, really, really good chance of pulling this out.
1:20:17
SPEAKER_00: I totally agree.
1:20:19
SPEAKER_00: I think when our we can play some complimentary ball with the defense, you know, just lock it down down there and clear the way we can get to our offense when we kind of get in the little flow of things, things really start to click.
1:20:31
SPEAKER_00: One thing we talked about today was that our defense can help set a tone.
1:20:35
SPEAKER_00: And I don't think we did that against Lewis, where if we can just lock down those three possessions, get to the offense, they just get hot off us playing well.
1:20:43
SPEAKER_02: So that's what happened against Meryville.
1:20:44
SPEAKER_02: If you look at it, your defense locked down and that created offense.
1:20:48
SPEAKER_00: Yep, and that's that's our whole set of uh tone here.
1:20:51
SPEAKER_00: So if we can just lock down on defense for that first little bit and get our offense flowing just the way they need to be, I think we can really take a far this year.
1:21:00
SPEAKER_02: Okay, I've got one more.
1:21:02
SPEAKER_02: I've got to ask you this question.
1:21:03
SPEAKER_02: Like, you are always smiling on this this recording right now as we're doing this podcast.
1:21:08
SPEAKER_02: Like, you seem to really, really love playing lacrosse.
1:21:11
SPEAKER_02: What do you love about playing the goalie position?
1:21:15
SPEAKER_00: I think what I love most is I mean, my philosophy with it is I'm just a competitive guy.
1:21:22
SPEAKER_00: I I I love competition.
1:21:23
SPEAKER_00: And when I I have my defensive core obviously in front of me, but when I play, it's always a six versus one.
1:21:30
SPEAKER_00: If I can beat their six guys on the field shooting, I I can take it.
1:21:35
SPEAKER_00: I can take it home and we can move on to the next round, next game.
1:21:38
SPEAKER_00: And I just love that aspect of kind of everybody wants cool goals.
1:21:42
SPEAKER_00: You know, you don't see many goalie highlight things all the time.
1:21:46
SPEAKER_00: And so I love being that guy that just shuts down those cool goals.
1:21:50
SPEAKER_00: I think.
1:21:50
SPEAKER_02: Well, I tell you what, you had plenty I have seen plenty this year.
1:21:53
SPEAKER_02: You talk about your defense, but you've had some doorstep saves that should have been gone in, and you could tell, like the broadcaster said it against your broadcaster said against Maryville.
1:22:03
SPEAKER_02: You were frustrating their shooters because they could not put anything on you.
1:22:07
SPEAKER_02: You're stopping balls with your body, your chest, it's coming.
1:22:10
SPEAKER_02: I'm like while he's doing all that.
1:22:13
SPEAKER_02: It's just you, believe me, you have a lot of uh highlight shot uh saves that you can see.
1:22:21
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, absolutely, 100%.
1:22:23
SPEAKER_02: And and Danny, since he says he's a competitive guy, you know what that means.
1:22:34
SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, folks, we got Brock Olala goalie from the Rockhurst Hawks, the senior out of Hugo, Minnesota, right now, number two in the USA with a 64% save percentage, my man.
1:22:50
SPEAKER_01: You are kicking ass and taking names.
1:22:53
SPEAKER_01: We got you in the firing round.
1:22:54
SPEAKER_01: Are you ready, sir?
1:22:56
SPEAKER_01: I'm ready.
1:22:57
SPEAKER_01: Mom's best meal.
1:22:58
SPEAKER_00: Lasagna.
1:22:59
SPEAKER_01: Lasagna.
1:23:01
SPEAKER_01: All right.
1:23:02
SPEAKER_01: Xbox or PlayStation?
1:23:04
SPEAKER_00: Xbox.
1:23:05
SPEAKER_01: Favorite type of music?
1:23:08
SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna go I'm gonna go so old country like Johnny Cash.
1:23:12
SPEAKER_01: Really?
1:23:13
SPEAKER_01: Okay, I like that.
1:23:14
SPEAKER_01: Old country, Johnny Cash, George Strait, those kind of guys.
1:23:18
SPEAKER_01: All right, I'm with you on that one.
1:23:20
SPEAKER_01: Any pregame rituals, Brock?
1:23:22
SPEAKER_01: You know, like you wear an old jock strap or any superstitions like that?
1:23:27
SPEAKER_00: One thing I do before every game, uh, me and Jack Peterson, my roommate, we go into the our wall ball room and we just do a little tennis ball drill, but it can only be Jack Peterson, it can't be anybody else that shoots the ball.
1:23:40
SPEAKER_00: Has to be Jack.
1:23:41
SPEAKER_01: Okay, that's that's great.
1:23:43
SPEAKER_01: Morning bird or night owl?
1:23:45
SPEAKER_01: Morning.
1:23:46
SPEAKER_01: Morning bird, what's your favorite breakfast food?
1:23:49
SPEAKER_00: Not a big breakfast guy though.
1:23:50
SPEAKER_00: Morning, but yeah, I'm a big breakfast guy.
1:23:53
SPEAKER_01: Really?
1:23:54
SPEAKER_00: So what you gotta get something in your belly coffee, orange juice.
1:23:57
SPEAKER_00: I'm always ripping a coffee in the morning, but I usually eat my lunch leftovers from whatever I had like the day.
1:24:03
SPEAKER_00: I'm a big chicken guy, uh, big Mexican.
1:24:05
SPEAKER_00: I love tacos.
1:24:06
SPEAKER_00: So if there's a taco burrito in the fridge, it's it's getting destroyed.
1:24:10
SPEAKER_00: Okay, great.
1:24:11
SPEAKER_01: What was your favorite cartoon as a kid?
1:24:13
SPEAKER_00: Phineas and Ferb.
1:24:15
SPEAKER_01: Phineas and Ferb.
1:24:16
SPEAKER_01: All right.
1:24:17
SPEAKER_01: I love those guys.
1:24:18
SPEAKER_01: Netflix or ESPN?
1:24:20
SPEAKER_00: ESPN.
1:24:22
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you're the first guy.
1:24:23
SPEAKER_01: All kids keep saying Netflix.
1:24:25
SPEAKER_01: Very few say ESPN.
1:24:27
SPEAKER_01: When you turn my TV on, it automatically goes to ESPN.
1:24:30
SPEAKER_01: It's a no-brainer.
1:24:32
SPEAKER_01: My wife used to hate me for that.
1:24:34
SPEAKER_01: Okay, outside of lacrosse, what other sports did you play?
1:24:39
SPEAKER_00: Uh played hockey, but other than that, I'm a big fisherman and hunting guy.
1:24:42
SPEAKER_00: Uh, I've got a couple guys on the team that we go with every year.
1:24:46
SPEAKER_02: Do you do ice fishing too back in Minnesota?
1:24:48
SPEAKER_00: Big time.
1:24:49
SPEAKER_02: Do you have the do you have the hut?
1:24:51
SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
1:24:52
SPEAKER_00: We got the pop-up hut.
1:24:53
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we would uh we would spend a couple nights out on the ice in that.
1:24:57
SPEAKER_01: Sorry, no thanks.
1:24:59
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, exactly.
1:24:59
SPEAKER_01: I cut it right there.
1:25:01
SPEAKER_01: I if it's 46 degrees or lower, I don't even want to go outside anymore.
1:25:05
SPEAKER_00: You can be in a t-shirt in those huts.
1:25:07
SPEAKER_00: Throwing a heater in there, you'll be in t-shirt and shorts fishing.
1:25:10
SPEAKER_01: Really?
1:25:10
SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
1:25:11
SPEAKER_01: Oh, I didn't realize that.
1:25:12
SPEAKER_01: I thought just guys guys are bundled up in like Columbia iceberg clothes, and no, that's that's pretty interesting.
1:25:21
SPEAKER_01: So it's like lake fishing, right?
1:25:23
SPEAKER_01: Basically.
1:25:24
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you gotta got a radar you put down, you can see the fish around.
1:25:27
unknown: Wow.
1:25:29
SPEAKER_01: That's pretty cool.
1:25:30
SPEAKER_01: Excellent.
1:25:31
SPEAKER_01: All right.
1:25:32
SPEAKER_01: Who's the funniest kid on the Rockhurst Hawk squad?
1:25:36
SPEAKER_00: I'm going uh Anthony Isarino, Ant, Ant-Man, number Ant-Man.
1:25:40
SPEAKER_01: What makes him so funny?
1:25:42
SPEAKER_00: Uh 30 Creates.
1:25:43
SPEAKER_00: 30 creates is his motto.
1:25:45
SPEAKER_00: He runs out there, he makes a play, he just starts yelling 30 creates.
1:25:47
SPEAKER_00: He just brings the vibes up.
1:25:48
SPEAKER_00: He's always dancing.
1:25:49
SPEAKER_00: He's just a goofball.
1:25:51
SPEAKER_01: Love those kind of kids.
1:25:52
SPEAKER_01: Love those kids.
1:25:54
SPEAKER_01: Which teammate would be voted best ladies, man?
1:25:58
SPEAKER_00: Ooh.
1:26:00
SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna go.
1:26:02
SPEAKER_00: That's a real good one.
1:26:03
SPEAKER_00: That's a tough one.
1:26:04
SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna go uh Leo Piscatello.
1:26:08
SPEAKER_01: All right, shout out to Leo.
1:26:10
SPEAKER_01: Which teammate would be voted most athletic?
1:26:15
SPEAKER_00: Colton McGregor.
1:26:17
SPEAKER_00: Colton McGregor, he is just a freak athlete or Avery Moody.
1:26:20
SPEAKER_00: Avery Moody's also just a dog.
1:26:22
SPEAKER_00: He's he's the thing he dumped not too long ago in the 20s.
1:26:27
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he's got some hops.
1:26:28
SPEAKER_01: That's crazy.
1:26:29
SPEAKER_01: All right.
1:26:30
SPEAKER_01: Something you like to do when you're off the field to like relax, other than fishing, what do you do to kind of like exhale and relax?
1:26:39
SPEAKER_00: Uh, big time golfer.
1:26:40
SPEAKER_00: The whole team is.
1:26:41
SPEAKER_00: We kind of we're putting together a rockurse, like men's lacrosse golf tournament here soon.
1:26:46
SPEAKER_00: So I love it.
1:26:48
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, look at the gotta get an invite, Kev.
1:26:51
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we do.
1:26:52
SPEAKER_02: We need an invite from you, Brock.
1:26:54
SPEAKER_02: We'll get you guys on the list.
1:26:55
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
1:26:56
SPEAKER_01: What is your best lacrosse memory at Rockhurst?
1:27:01
SPEAKER_00: Ooh.
1:27:03
SPEAKER_00: Freshman year.
1:27:04
SPEAKER_00: I I wasn't in the net, but we won the chip, and I I traveled for that and was part of that team, and that was just one of the coolest feelings and moments of my lacrosse career in general.
1:27:14
SPEAKER_00: I mean, watching our older seniors with some fifth years on the team still.
1:27:19
SPEAKER_00: Um, we had Matt Buckley who came back.
1:27:21
SPEAKER_00: He was working a job in the fall and decided, no, I'm coming back to school and played.
1:27:27
SPEAKER_00: And watching his smile on his face holding up that trophy was just the best thing ever.
1:27:33
SPEAKER_01: That's great.
1:27:34
SPEAKER_01: What was the been the most interesting class you've taken at Rock Rust?
1:27:40
SPEAKER_00: Um freshman year, I took the math of gambling class.
1:27:48
SPEAKER_00: Didn't I I didn't even get to pick it.
1:27:50
SPEAKER_00: My advisor picked all my classes freshman year, and I got in there and I was like, There's no way this is a college class.
1:27:56
SPEAKER_00: And it was it was awesome though.
1:27:58
SPEAKER_00: It was my favorite class.
1:28:00
SPEAKER_00: So vegan.
1:28:00
SPEAKER_00: It was so fun.
1:28:01
SPEAKER_01: Dude, we had a kid last week took an outside recreation class.
1:28:06
SPEAKER_01: I'm like, what do you do for that?
1:28:08
SPEAKER_01: Go outside and hang out by the park by the lake.
1:28:10
SPEAKER_01: Like, what a great class.
1:28:12
SPEAKER_00: Go lay in the hammocks.
1:28:13
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
1:28:14
SPEAKER_01: I was I was going to statistics.
1:28:16
SPEAKER_01: Kevin was going to biology.
1:28:17
SPEAKER_01: You guys are going to recreation outside.
1:28:21
SPEAKER_01: Math for gambling.
1:28:23
SPEAKER_01: Math for gambling classes.
1:28:24
SPEAKER_01: That's all.
1:28:28
SPEAKER_01: That's great.
1:28:29
SPEAKER_01: Um, what is your major?
1:28:32
SPEAKER_00: Uh, I'm an accounting major.
1:28:34
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
1:28:35
SPEAKER_01: So, where do you see yourself 10 years from now?
1:28:38
SPEAKER_00: 10 years from now, uh, I hope to have my own firm.
1:28:42
SPEAKER_00: So yeah, me and uh Artie on the team counter Ardell and Will Wynn, we're all accounting guys.
1:28:48
SPEAKER_00: I mean, we talk about it all the time of kind of opening up our own firms one day.
1:28:51
SPEAKER_00: So probably going to public accounting here soon, and then from there, hopefully learn enough to open up my own.
1:28:57
SPEAKER_01: That's fantastic.
1:28:58
SPEAKER_01: I love that.
1:28:59
SPEAKER_01: Last but not least, give us your best impression of Coach Kelly.
1:29:04
SPEAKER_00: Oh god.
1:29:05
SPEAKER_00: If I had a hat, it would be the hat would be tilted all the way down.
1:29:08
unknown: Okay.
1:29:12
SPEAKER_00: Boys, what are we doing?
1:29:16
SPEAKER_00: What are we doing?
1:29:17
SPEAKER_00: We're gonna send that slide.
1:29:19
SPEAKER_00: We're gonna send that slide on that one.
1:29:21
SPEAKER_00: Or it's we're never sliding.
1:29:23
SPEAKER_00: We usually try not to slide, but there's an obvious one.
1:29:26
SPEAKER_00: He he gets fired up if we don't send it.
1:29:28
SPEAKER_01: So that's all the time we have for the fire and round.
1:29:34
SPEAKER_01: Brock Olala from Rockhurst, Hugo, Minnesota, kid.
1:29:38
SPEAKER_01: You were being a great guest tonight.
1:29:40
SPEAKER_01: Thank you so much for coming on.
1:29:42
SPEAKER_01: We hope you had a good time.
1:29:43
SPEAKER_00: I did.
1:29:44
SPEAKER_00: I had a great time.
1:29:44
SPEAKER_00: Thank you guys for having me.
1:29:46
SPEAKER_02: No, it was awesome.
1:29:47
SPEAKER_02: And I say again to you and your parents, Brock Olala.
1:29:52
SPEAKER_02: I apologize for getting it wrong for so many years.
1:29:56
SPEAKER_01: All right, folks, one of the best lacrosse goalies in the country, hands down.
1:30:01
SPEAKER_01: Kid, I wish you the best of luck.
1:30:03
SPEAKER_01: GLVC's yours to take, man.
1:30:05
SPEAKER_01: Go get it.
1:30:06
SPEAKER_01: Go get it, kid.
1:30:07
SPEAKER_00: Appreciate you guys.
1:30:10
SPEAKER_02: Brock.
1:30:11
SPEAKER_02: Olala.
1:30:12
SPEAKER_02: Olala.
1:30:13
SPEAKER_02: Olala.
1:30:14
SPEAKER_02: I'll be saying that in my sleep, Danny.
1:30:17
SPEAKER_02: What a good kid.
1:30:18
SPEAKER_02: He was all smiles, totally energetic, very loose.
1:30:23
SPEAKER_02: I don't think he was nervous at all coming on.
1:30:26
SPEAKER_01: Great kid.
1:30:26
SPEAKER_01: I loved him.
1:30:27
SPEAKER_01: He was an excellent guest.
1:30:28
SPEAKER_01: What a great personality.
1:30:30
SPEAKER_01: Like you said, smiling the whole time.
1:30:32
SPEAKER_01: Think he enjoyed himself.
1:30:34
SPEAKER_01: He's doing phenomenal in between the pipes there.
1:30:39
SPEAKER_02: I mean and talk about a goalie mentality.
1:30:42
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I quit hockey because of concussions, so I went to goalie and lacrosse.
1:30:48
SPEAKER_01: I know.
1:30:49
SPEAKER_01: I know.
1:30:50
SPEAKER_01: That's the Minnesota craziness.
1:30:52
SPEAKER_01: You know, they Minnesota produces some really good lacrosse players, Kev.
1:30:56
SPEAKER_01: Seems like every year we get these kids and they're from Minnesota and they're just balling out and doing great things.
1:31:02
SPEAKER_01: Brock is a great goalie.
1:31:05
SPEAKER_01: I think he's gonna get an all-American knot.
1:31:08
SPEAKER_01: I think he's minimum second team.
1:31:10
SPEAKER_01: I mean, that's just my opinion.
1:31:12
SPEAKER_02: I agree with that.
1:31:13
SPEAKER_02: I mean, it's gonna be tough to uh go against Christian Tomey and what he's done, but other than that, I think there's no one I I think that's been at his level this season.
1:31:26
SPEAKER_01: He's been great.
1:31:27
SPEAKER_01: And what a good kid.
1:31:28
SPEAKER_01: I bet you he's a phenomenal teammate.
1:31:30
SPEAKER_01: Good kid to hang out with, you know.
1:31:32
SPEAKER_02: Well, especially when you heard him say, yeah, I was I was bought in as soon as the coach said, Yeah, we're we just play on grit.
1:31:39
SPEAKER_02: I'm not even showing you the locker room because it's a gritty place.
1:31:43
SPEAKER_02: I mean, if you buy into that, yeah, you're all in.
1:31:48
SPEAKER_01: Hey, he's got he's played some good club ball with Team Minnesota and uh played with Shea Rayburn and some really, really good players in high school and club.
1:31:57
SPEAKER_01: So he's a baller, man, and he was a great guest tonight.
1:32:01
SPEAKER_01: He's gonna be doing great.
1:32:02
SPEAKER_01: I him and his boys are gonna open up an accounting firm.
1:32:06
unknown: Yeah.
1:32:07
SPEAKER_01: They'll be just fine.
