Tragic Highway Crash Claims Two Lives | Topeka News
A horrific early morning crash on eastbound I-350 near Westridge Road left two dead and two critically injured—none of the four occupants were wearing seatbelts. The Chevrolet Tahoe struck the rear of a Ford Focus, sending both vehicles off the road and into trees. The Focus driver died at the scene, and the backseat passenger later died in the hospital. The Tahoe’s driver and the Ford’s passenger are in critical condition. This tragedy brings Kansas City’s annual traffic fatalities to 41 and 42. Authorities are investigating the cause.
