[upbeat rock music] Hey, everybody. Hola.
• 0:19
Seven o'clock on a Wednesday. You know what time that means. Every, every other Wednesday in this case. Beautiful River West, Wisconsin. But, but this is the, the Wednesday.
• 0:29
[laughs] Here at the Everyday Cycles podcast emporium and bike studio slash- Mothership. [laughs] Right on, right on. So, uh, what's happening? What's happening? It's been two weeks.
• 0:47
Two weeks and two rides. Man. And, and still light out. Well, kind of three- Yeah... kind of almost three rides, really. True, true, true. There was sort of a Saturday thrown in there, too- [laughs] Mm...
• 0:59
that impacted the Sunday. I impacted that Saturday. [laughs] So the first ride was, uh, St Paddy's Day parade. That was a, that was a good ride. Yes. Moseyed out to McBob's.
• 1:15
And full test of the growler holder, and successfully delivered growler beer. Nice. Growler, the growler grabber. The growler grabber. Growler grabber. Including a wipe out, and the growler did not break.
• 1:29
[laughs] Did, did not disgorge its, uh- Yeah... charge. Well, that's good to know. That was with a standard growler size growler, not your- Yeah, no... fancy 1840s growler. Yeah, yeah. Held up well. Right on.
• 1:42
Well, that's good to hear. I'm sure they'll be happy, happy to know that it's performing its duties admirably. Growlergrabber.com, folks. Growler Grabber. Check it out.
• 1:54
Uh, yeah, we took a different route out there than I normally would go. I, I'm real happy with the- It's the only ride I will, the route I will ever take to McBob's [laughs] again. Yeah. [laughs] It was gorgeous.
• 2:03
Yeah, it worked out. Worked out perfect, like nobody knows what we're talking about. [laughs] Google McBob's Milwaukee- [coughs]... and Everyday Cycles and walnut- Yeah... and you'll understand what we're talking about.
• 2:18
I wonder if it, uh, would give you the right route, or if it'd just take you straight up the street. Mm-hmm. I dunno. That Google, um, bicycle mapping thing is pretty smart.
• 2:30
I've utilized it on more than one occasion, and it's pretty decent at keeping you off places where there's more cars than bikes. This... Are you, uh, peppering over there? [laughs] Sorry about that.
• 2:44
[laughs] Tony brought in some spicy beef jerky from Held's up there north of the city a little bit. Off of Highway 41. I highly recommend a stop. Yep. Held's Meat Products. And cheese. And cheese. Yes, they do both well.
• 3:00
Mm-hmm. Right there where the 41 and the 45 kinda split almost. Yep, pretty much. Pretty close. Can't miss it. Great big sign says, oddly enough, Held's. Yeah.
• 3:10
You know, if you're traveling to Northern Wisconsin for your mountain biking- Yeah... fat biking, road biking, triking, uh, scooter, um, whatever other adventure. Maybe even skateboarding.
• 3:21
Yeah, could skateboard there, too. I would highly recommend the landjagers, but everything else is- I still don't know what the hell that is.
• 3:27
It's something, something- Well, I guess that's what I gotta do next in two weeks... something, something Norwegian, isn't it? I'm gonna bring you there.
• 3:32
It's a, uh, salt cured sausage that you can leave out for days and it just gets better and better. Mm. Sausage. [laughs] Mm-hmm. Man, not on this bike podcast we are talking about sausage.
• 3:42
Well- And brought to you by All Day IPA. Right. You know, but it makes sense because, uh, you can put that in your bag and it'll be in there later when you need it. Absolutely. Yeah.
• 3:53
You are not boinking when you've got a bag full of wonderful beef jerky. [laughs] Beef jerky and lingon flogging smogging flogging. Landjager. Landjager. [laughs] Landjager. Same thing.
• 4:04
I think that's what I was trying to say. McJaggers. [laughs] Yeah, so they- [laughs] Spit take. [laughs] They had some kinda parade that, uh, first ride day, St. Patrick's Day parade. It was
• 4:22
kinda chilly. Yeah, windy. And then rainy-ish. Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, 'cause I, I kinda flaked out on the beginning of that ride and met up with you guys downtown, and you could block...
• 4:34
That one building blocked, like, a good 20 mile an hour sustained wind. Yeah. The only good news is we had the wind at our back to McBob's, so uphill wind at our back made downhill wind in our face way more tolerable.
• 4:47
[laughs] Yeah, for sure. And I did locate my Endura pants, so I was pretty happy to have something on my bottom that wasn't, uh, leaky. [laughs] Leaky, le- ugh.
• 4:58
But 40 degrees, 38 degrees, and rain, just about the nastiest riding conditions there are. [laughs] Oh, yeah, and then it... Well, yeah, then it, it mutated into the snow slush- Mm-hmm... right at the end of the night.
• 5:09
Beautiful. Ugh. Well, if I had the right, right gear. [laughs] I did not have the right... Didn't have the really the right gear or the right bike for the, the squishy, squishy... I don't need to fall again. [laughs] No.
• 5:25
I did my one for the season, I think. I had two, including that day. [laughs] Oh, was that the... That... I had a slide out in the alley, I think, on that end of that day. Oh. You had taken...
• 5:36
You went around the corner on the street, and I kinda shortcutted through the alley, and I saw you go by and I went psh. Oh. Zing. Little knee, little knee thing. Little knee bump.
• 5:47
There was still ice and snow on the ground. That pretty much gone by now, though. Mm. There's a little bit of a pile across the street still, but, uh- Yeah...
• 5:54
I think the City O' Milwaukee is thinking we're not getting a whole lot more freezing, 'cause they were out there today in front of ye olde shoppe here slapping the black, uh-... asphalt into the potholes Yeah.
• 6:06
Well, good luck with that If it lasts, if and it doesn't freeze and- There's, there's a couple of potholes I think they're gonna name lakes pretty soon [laughs] around here. Whoa. Yes.
• 6:15
It has been a crusty winter for making big old potholes, hasn't it? Yeah. Oh, yeah. There was one out by, uh, in, uh, near, uh, Gathering Place, wasn't there? Yeah. There's a big, big moon crater in there.
• 6:28
There's one right as you make the turn by the other shop building. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I think that's what- Yep... that one you're talking about. That's a big one. Yeah. That one's, like, right in your line of fire.
• 6:36
It's exactly where you wanna go. Yep. [laughs] That's actually been there for, like, a year. Yeah, it's also gravelly as hell right there, too. Yeah, it's terrible. Yep. It's washout time. Washoutville.
• 6:46
Keep, keep your eyes open there at the corner of Fratney and Vienna, folks. But- That's where the most recent, the following weekend, ride- Ended up? Uh, yeah Yeah. Kinda... yeah. Kinda.
• 6:58
It was that- At least, at least in our case... that, that lakefront, lakefront fixation, collaborative... I'm not sure what the deal was. Find the bridge. St. Patrick's Day ride. Yeah.
• 7:08
[laughs] Which I guess people do rides different than we do, because they rode and [laughs] we stood under a bridge. No, no, that's not it. We rode to that bridge.
• 7:20
We rode to that bridge, and I wanted to heckle- And then skip in line... so I stood at a heckling spot. Yeah. Or skip the, skip the parade route. Yeah. Went right to the next brewery. And then, yeah.
• 7:30
I think we did, I think we handled that very well. [laughs] I was surprised nobody from the actual ride wanted to get involved in the hubcap skid contest.
• 7:38
I, uh, was in a situation at that point that that would not have been a good idea. [laughs] Just like to get things going at events like that where there's more than just standing around drinking beer.
• 7:51
Not even Zito wanted to do it? Zito did it. Okay. Yeah. Um, yeah, he was part of- I was inside, uh, kinda flaked out. [laughs] By the time I went outside it was like, "Da, doo, doom, doom. You guys all suck.
• 8:04
Yeah, we're going in." Yeah, I think we were one of the first ones there. Gathering Place is a, a brewery as well as a- Brewery... well, gathering place. Yeah. That's over- Which, uh-...
• 8:15
over there on Vienna and Milwaukee, Wisconsin Every, every Thursday if you should care to join them, they have a dollar off of every, every pint you buy, a dollar of it goes to the charity of the week.
• 8:27
And, uh- I don't, I don't think I have my disloyalty cards punched from those guys. I keep forgetting to bring it out. So, yeah. Um, but we should go, um, on Thursdays is a good, you know, good hand-in-hand support.
• 8:38
And, uh, in May my nonprofit will be profiting from that, so I'm encouraging everyone, when I get the date I'll let everyone know on the next podcast, that should come drink beers and maybe I'll even buy you a beer.
• 8:51
Right on. Very good. That sounds like a good thing. So we rode some, stood around some. Got another ride coming up. Uh, Fatbike.com- Oh...
• 9:04
Everyday Cycles, Zion Cyclery, Zuzu Pedals, a whole bunch of people are collaborating to put on the Rockin' Beach Funduro. That sounds like- Up there in Port Washington, Wisconsin. Port. Beautiful Port Washington.
• 9:18
Washington, folks. What's the date on that? April 28th. Ah, okay. It's a Sunday at high noon. So once again, it's the day the butcher is closed, so we can't get that- [laughs]... delicious smart pork.
• 9:29
Smart, smart- Smart... smart pork and brinedies. Smart pork chop. Damn you. Or you could always make a end around run to Helds and [laughs] Slightly out of the way. Eh, it's sort of a big loop. Considering, you know.
• 9:42
[laughs] That's a, that's just a loopy thing. Yeah. But if anyone else is coming from that direction, i.e. Gomez, you, you could definitely swing by Helds. Oh, wait, they're closed on Sundays, too. Are they? Ah.
• 9:53
He's coming from west, though, not north, so. He could cut across. Well, maybe we should go there Saturday and be prepared. [laughs] And, and I'm definitely thinking of staying overnight in Port.
• 10:06
I don't know if it's a good idea to mosey back from way up there. But, uh, it's, should be a fun event besides, uh, what it implies with the beach part of it. We're gonna do a beach ride.
• 10:17
And, uh, the Funduro part seems like it's a bunch of events- Fun... that are fun. My idea was, and I hate beer pong, by the way, just so everybody knows how much I despise it.
• 10:29
[laughs] But I thought it would be kinda cool if we had, like, 10 35-gallon metal wastebaskets and a basketball to do our beer pong impression with, 'cause it would just make so much noise. Ding, dang.
• 10:42
[laughs] You know, it might also, if we could add to that, get, like, instead of a basketball maybe something slightly more bouncy and you have to do it with your bike. Yeah. I, I was trying to figure out a way to do it.
• 10:54
There's something there. Um, I mean, it's not as simple as bucket ball. Mm-hmm. Which I would recommend somebody brings a five-gallon bucket. That'd be fun.
• 11:03
Um, but yeah, somehow where you can punt the ball with your bike or- Beach shenanigans... dropkick it with your bike or something. And maybe just one or 10. I don't know. Yeah. There's an idea there. It's not mine.
• 11:14
Well, it is, but it's not fully formed, so I won't claim it until it's fully formed yet. Yes, they put the charging- [laughs]... port on the bottom of the mouse.
• 11:24
[laughs] No, I, I thought that it would light up once, once I charged it, and it didn't so I assumed it was no good, so I may have recycled one.
• 11:31
And if not, I'm gonna try to dig it out of my recycling bin- Yeah, no, it's-... and bring it to you... well, on these things, on a Mac it says that it's, it, you can read your battery level and everything. Ah.
• 11:40
Well, that's what I'd use it for, so. Well, there you go. So. I'll bring you, I'll bring you a spare. Nice. Uh, cool. And okay, here's another thing happening at that Funduro, bands. Bands? They got bands up there.
• 11:52
There's a band. There's at least two bands, and maybe an impromptu jam session. Was, was surf bands? Um, I, you know what? Not, probably not surf. More rock, I would say. Speaking of surf bands- Yeah...
• 12:04
rest in peace, Dick Dale. Oh, Dick Dale- Yeah... passed. Uh, our friend Mike from Zuzu Pedals is a drummer, and he's in a band, a new band called Death by Misadventure, although he's been playing forever.
• 12:14
He was in a- another band we saw at several bike-oriented parties called So Far So Bad or something [laughs]. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Um- I was trying to re- [laughs] as you were saying it- Right...
• 12:23
I'm like trying to recall. Something along those lines. Yeah. I think Death by Misadventure's pretty good. It's a good name anyway. Yeah, I was wondering about what, who was in that band or what was in it?
• 12:31
I know Mike's in that band. Yeah. I don't know who else is in that band. And then, uh, Ex-Uncle is, uh, is Chris Zion's band from Zion Cyclery, and he will also be per- Chris Zion [laughs]... performing.
• 12:42
Chris, Chris- [laughs] Chris, Chris Daisy. [laughs] And it's like, "Hey, Tim Apple, how's it going?" Exactly [laughs]. [laughs] Hey, Tim Apple, what's, what's happening? Damn, that's Chris Daisy.
• 12:51
I know I said Chris, you just didn't hear me. Yeah. [laughs] I'm sorry. I said, I said Chris Daisy Zion. Yeah, that's it. Yeah, that's it. No, Chris Daisy from Zion Cyclery- [laughs]...
• 13:00
is, uh, is in this Ex-Uncle band, and, uh, they will also be performing in the band show there at the North Lake Park in beautiful Port Washington, Wisconsin. Oops, I had never, I don't think I've ever even seen
• 13:15
a band show being utilized. I think July- I mean, I'm not up there very often. Yeah, I think I went once. Yeah, July 4th, I think there was an Oompah band there- Oh, I'm sure there's stuff going on...
• 13:21
but that's the only time I've ever seen anything in there. I've just never... Yeah. This is a, a good use of it, I would say. I spend very little time at that band show because- Right... that beach ride is so great.
• 13:31
Yeah, I think we're gonna probably go both directions. What with the lake level being high, we'll go north first and then maybe south too. Maybe make that an optional. When is that, in May? Uh, well, almost. April.
• 13:43
Ap- April 28th. Better get my fat bike ready. Uh, speaking of your fat bike, I should have the wheels done tomorrow and, uh, re-dished because of your offset fork, your fork and fork. Ah, yes.
• 13:54
And you got that, you got that fancy rack, right? That's a Jordan rack, by the way. This is a Jordan? Yeah. One of the first-ish ones he made, I think. [laughs] Right.
• 14:04
But it's, it's offset a little bit enough to do that. The one thing I noticed is it's, it goes pretty far forward, so with a full six-pack in there, it affects your handling just a little bit.
• 14:14
I, I bet, but- But it's really nicely done. I have a Jordan front rack on another one of my bikes, and it is just shy of stunning. Yeah, he did a nice job. I mean, no, it's not. It is absolutely stunning.
• 14:26
It's not even shy of it. Cool. Well, we'll look at this. Spend my money, spend my money. Yeah, more, uh, more fat bike refurbs are in order. Got, uh, Mr.
• 14:36
Dave's bike over there all re-tired and re-drivetrained and- New Teesdales? Well, yeah, we have those offset Teesdale forks.
• 14:45
We built those when Surly had an issue with a recall on their forks, just to have some available, and did a slightly different rake on it to change the handling a little bit less truck-like and a little more trail-like.
• 14:58
So I thought, "Well, since we got them sitting around here, we might as well throw one on there and see if he likes it or not." Yeah. 'Cause, uh, he got an extra 40 millimeters of height.
• 15:08
Dave's really tall, so he wanted the bars up a little bit more, and there's a, that there's 40 more millimeters of rise to this 'cause the steerer tube's so freaking long on that thing.
• 15:18
Yeah, that's a monster steerer tube. Big ole- I thought it was an adapter at first. [laughs] Oh, wait a minute, that's all one big tube. Yep, yep. It's tall. Tall and in charge.
• 15:27
There could be double-digit spacers on that right now. There might be 10 or more on there. [laughs] I'm going to count. I'll be right back. Yeah. You come back now, yeah.
• 15:37
Right behind that thing is that, uh, that Chumba that's just about done too, with the dang old carbon wheels from Whiskey on it and all sorts of good parts on that thing too. A Mr. P fork on it and, uh... Oh, yeah.
• 15:53
That's sort of my test bed for Sam 'cause Sam's throwing down for a Chumba fat bike frame, and we're gonna see where he needs to be size-wise and then dial in his componentry from there, hey. Yikes. Yeah.
• 16:06
He's gonna love that. Oh, yeah. Oh, sure. And, and if anyone that'll get use out of it, it's Sam D., man. Yeah. Now with, uh, that gone, I think there's six left. I don't know. It's, there's like five up there, I think.
• 16:20
Yep. There's a couple more in the back room. Chumba. Might be six or seven. Folks, these things aren't gonna last forever.
• 16:26
These are, uh, dang old USA-made titanium fat bike frames, and you should jump on one if you ever thought you might want something like that.
• 16:34
It's got Paragon sliding dropouts, so your, uh, drivetrain options are all, uh, all over the map, wherever you wanna go, as long as it's a 197 or 190 or something. Hey, give me a call. I'll tell you all about it.
• 16:51
My name's Greg. Thank you very much. Sven. [laughs] Oh, yeah. Sven. Sven Universe. No, that's a different Sven. Different Sven. [laughs] And now for more spicy beef jerky. Yes. And the question that's begging my mind is,
• 17:07
I- is your shirt on inside out? [laughs] I was thinking the same thing. [laughs] Yeah, 'cause I got some grease on it, so I flipped it around. Uh, all right. Can't really tell. That makes sense then.
• 17:21
[laughs] Can't really tell. It's kinda just blue. [laughs] On- only because the logo is like... Yeah, exactly. Thought it was in- It doesn't, it doesn't really have grease on. I just put it on inside out.
• 17:32
[laughs] Never really bothered to look at it. [laughs] Fair enough. Yeah. I just wanted to make sure I was seeing what I was seeing. Well, at this time of year, I'm the on- only one in this place mostly.
• 17:43
Not a whole lot of, uh, employees or anything. The odd customer walking through here or there decided not to say anything [laughs] about the inside out shirt. [laughs] I might flip that around later. [laughs] Or not.
• 18:00
We'll see what happens. That- So what, what, what else we got coming up, pal? I'm, uh, waiting a, a text message from my brother with a picture of his-...
• 18:09
vintage, quote-unquote, Trek 8000 aluminum bike so we can judge whether or not it's actually vintage. [laughs] Other than the fact that it's old. [laughs] Is he gonna text it now? Y- yeah, see, I just sent him a message.
• 18:23
We'll have to put it on the show notes. We should put it on the show notes. It's- it's white, if I recall correctly.
• 18:30
I drove this out to him in Virginia Beach, and I wanna say it's white with speckled blue or purple paint on it. And the first thing he did when he rode it is got some serious road rash as he wiped out. It was hilarious.
• 18:44
He came back bloody on his first ride. With more splatter on the bike? [laughs] With... Yeah. Hmm. So if you're out there, Herb, we're making fun of you and your Trek 8000 aluminum. Is that from, uh, the '90s?
• 18:56
That would be a, uh... No, I believe it's early 2000s. Hmm. 'Cause it's not as old as our 950, which is a vintage mountain bike. Made in the United States of 'Merica. Yeah. So is this one, but- but it's aluminum.
• 19:13
It's not steel, it's real. And, you know, it's not platinum. Another dang old Trek on the stand there. There's- there's... You know, this is Milwaukee. We have Treks. Oh, that's a pretty rusted up one, too. Yeah.
• 19:26
Thanks, that's my son's. Yeah, that chain might need to be replaced. [laughs] Thanks... He knows how to do that, too. I mean, it's not like he doesn't know how to do it. He's just not doing it, so. Yeah.
• 19:35
I think a little rock and roll gold will lively that thing right up. A lot of rock and roll gold, maybe. There's no, there's no, uh, links that are- They're dusted-... rusted or anything...
• 19:44
spray her down That thing'll be resurrected, no problem. Needs some new cables, needs a few other things, but he's outgrown that thing anyway.
• 19:53
So I'll probably just, uh, make it serviceable and find some worthwhile shorter person in the 5'2" neighborhood, 5'4", somewhere in there probably. Maybe even 5'. It's a pretty small frame. 13 inch maybe. Yeah.
• 20:06
It does look like a little guy. That went through my daughter and my son's school careers at the old, uh, middle school, and, uh, he's gonna be too tall to take it into high school, so. Upgrade time.
• 20:19
Well, he's already got a Schleck that he's been using for off-road stuff, which I don't know how much you wanna leave that at a school. No. Probably not. Like, zero. You mean so the wheels get stolen? Right.
• 20:30
Is that what happened to you? Yes. [laughs] I don't- Two days after I got a fresh paint job on it. In the middle of the day, mind you.
• 20:38
My daughter has a presentation at the school, so I'm thinking, "Everything's safe, I'll just lock up the frame." And I come out to the frame sitting on the ground. And those were the original- Yes, they were...
• 20:46
Large Marges. Large Marge. That might have done you a favor. They were your Large Marges with the geckos around the filler valves. Oh, right on. Yeah. I don't miss 'em at all.
• 20:57
I'm not gonna miss 'em after I get this set of Large Marge lights. With Shimano's eight-speed internal- Elfin eight, man... Elfin eight-speed hub. It's gonna be the laziest beach ride ever. Yeah. Hose it down.
• 21:10
I'm gonna switch and put my TRPs on it. Very good. Very good. I know. It's gonna be a fun ride. Still a beast, but beautiful metallic black. It's a pretty gorgeous bike. Excellent.
• 21:25
Well, that's- that's something that's happening pretty soon. Yeah. What else? I mean, this is Milwaukee, we should have something coming up. They released the, uh, the Steel Is Real.
• 21:37
No, the Fat Tire Tour of Milwaukee is- Oh, the theme. Yeah... the theme. It's pretty exciting. Do tell. I, I've forgotten already. It's the Wizard of Ooze. The Wizard of Ooze. Oh, yeah.
• 21:51
Huh, I wonder how many flying monkeys there are gonna be. Don't you touch my monkeys. [laughs] Flying monkeys. That's coming up, uh, that's usually Father's Day weekend. Yeah. A fun one. Or around that time. Yeah.
• 22:04
E- yeah, either that weekend or the weekend before, depending on- It's in June, folks. Yep. And it's one of the oldest organized- And it's huge... fat bike, fat tire, not really fat bike. Kind of started- It's-...
• 22:15
as a mountain bike... it's kind of all- All bikes... bikes now, but- 'Cause there's, you know, 400 people on it, 500 people... yeah, there's, there's a good 400 riders on that.
• 22:22
It's, and it's well planned, and there's, you know, there's usually a snack stop or 10, and- [laughs]... an adult beverage or two. It's, uh- Or 10. Or 10. [laughs] Or 12.
• 22:34
It's also a, uh, that is a very fun meet new people, you know, be silly like Zart, where he's running around with his alien body on and- Yep, yep, yep. [laughs] You know, that was last year. Oh, yeah, yep.
• 22:51
I remember on the first editions, I think Gomez was the first guy I ever saw with a fat bike on that ride. But used to know everybody that had a fat bike on that ride, now there's so many on it, I don't know- Mm-hmm...
• 23:03
most, I don't know a lot of those people. [laughs] Those are people we should meet. Say, "Howdy. How you guys doing? Glad you're on a fat bike." Like your fat bike. Dang old, dang old skippy. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. What else?
• 23:19
I mean- I don't know. Didn't have a whole lot planned for today, just like see what, see what happens. Yeah. Roll the dice. What happened before- What happened will happen...
• 23:30
yeah, we, we- Wherever you're there, that's where you are... normally we discuss where we're going afterwards for an adult beverage. Where are we going? I don't know.
• 23:38
I have to go pick up a, uh, an auction prize I won at the Riverwest Radio. Riverwest Radio. Which is a pretty cool print. So the video shop is gone? Uh- Or is it just not- I think it's still part of that...
• 23:51
somehow I got a letter that was addressed to them, but with my address on for the shop here, so I- Well, 'cause it, yeah, it used to be next door... I took it over there- Nice...
• 23:58
and, uh, put it in the slot 'cause they weren't open. Yeah. Put the letter into the slot. Yeah, that, uh... I don't know. Where should we go tonight? Well, it's kind of in the same area as we always go, isn't it? Yeah.

There's nothing wrong with going over to the foundation, having more jerky. [laughs]I could stop over there for a little bit Show fuel. Yeah.
• 24:22
[laughs] Yeah, let's do that Got an All Day IPA and jerky and the prospect of more jerky. [laughs] That's the jerky on the stick and the- There we go, though, from the All Day to the full-fledged IPA. Yeah, yeah.
• 24:39

• 25:00
Yeah, I took the purple cruiser out for a cruise. That's a fun bike. Somebody should actually buy that thing and have fun on it. That does... You know, that's, that's bar bike extraordinaire right there. Yeah.
• 25:11
Yeah, I think so. That is a great roll to a bar and, you know, get home safely. It's got nice wide tires, BMX-y style. Actually looks like it'd be fun to go down a big flight of stairs, too.
• 25:24

• 25:50
And then I mashed on 'em in a rainstorm and thinking there'd be fade. There was absolutely no fade. [laughs] And I slid across the Trax parking lot.
• 25:58
I asked them if they had video of their parking lot 'cause I wanted to see how far I slid. I came home with some serious road rash. [laughs] Trust your brakes, folks. Trust your brakes. [laughs] No. [laughs] I- There...

• 26:31
I'm betting it has less than 50 miles on it. Wow, so that's almost, uh, a collector's item. Yeah. Almost- Almost... except for it's aluminium. Send that picture to me. We'll, we'll throw it in the show notes.
• 26:41
We'll throw it in the show notes. Take a gander here. Yeah, look at that. I threw that on a bike rack and drove it all the way across country. Well- Only for a guy to ride it 50 miles in- What a-... 20 years...
• 26:54
what a brother. [laughs] Yeah. I think I also took him, like, uh, four cases of Old Style because they didn't have it out there. Well, that's- Oof... dubious at best, but- Oof.
• 27:07
