- 5:03Speaker 3: New York City Controller Mark Levine, so we.
- 5:05Speaker 8: Protect the tree canopy that we already have. Trees are
- 5:08Speaker 8: about so much more than pretty landscapes.
- 5:11Speaker 16: Trailers that are fifteen to sixty years old are renting
- 5:15Speaker 16: for as much as.
- 5:15Speaker 4: Eighteen hundred and two thousand dollars a month.

- 5:49Speaker 18: You can learn how artists advocate for people whose daily
- 5:53Speaker 18: needs go unmet. Consider helping us or letting us know
- 5:57Speaker 18: how we can help you. Who needs help?
- 6:01Speaker 4: We want you to come and tell us about it.
- 6:03Speaker 4: And who knew that?
- 6:05Speaker 19: Leonardo also made a movie on biomimicry. Just planting some
- 6:10Speaker 19: seeds here, young guys and girls. The future is bright
- 6:15Speaker 19: because Mother Earth has potential technologies for you to learn about.
- 6:20Speaker 19: And that's what Leonardo DiCaprio has been doing his entire
- 6:24Speaker 19: life debate.
- 6:26Speaker 10: It is a human one.
- 6:27Speaker 20: Clean air and a livable climate are inalienable human rights,
- 6:32Speaker 20: and solving this crisis is not a question of politics.
- 6:35Speaker 21: It is a question of our own survival.
- 6:37Speaker 22: But we must respect the natural world.
- 6:40Speaker 23: Unless we can interact better with the natural world and
- 6:44Speaker 23: more harmony, world peace will be impossible.
- 6:48Speaker 16: Anna Rathman, she's the executive director of the Jane Goodall Institute.
- 6:54Speaker 16: Rick Alfick's coming Back and Anna and she and her
- 6:59Speaker 16: colleagues inspire Home through action to make a brighter future
- 7:02Speaker 16: for our planet. Anna has spent her career in conservation,
- 7:07Speaker 16: including roles in the National Park Service. We work with
- 7:11Speaker 16: Andrew Adrian Benepete. No okay, he's a buddy from Central Park.
- 7:15Speaker 16: Now over at the Brooklyn museum, botanical gardens.
- 7:20Speaker 4: There's a place to go look at.
- 7:21Speaker 16: Okay, you want to talk about nature and national geographic
- 7:24Speaker 16: Gary Nell? Did you ever see Gary? We love Gary
- 7:27Speaker 16: Nell from Channel thirteen thuries. Okay, so it's good to
- 7:31Speaker 16: get old for me, not for you, but for me.
- 7:35Speaker 16: Seventy two I started CBS.
- 7:37Speaker 4: All right.
- 7:37Speaker 16: So back to the story here throughout Africa really bridging science,
- 7:41Speaker 16: education and storytelling. Wow, maybe she could tell a story here.
- 7:45Speaker 16: She remains focused and initiatives that protect our amazing planet
- 7:50Speaker 16: through science based and community led solutions.
- 7:54Speaker 13: Anna, please, thank you, thank you, thank you so much,
- 7:58Speaker 13: thank you, thank you so much. Very Happy Earth Day
- 8:01Speaker 13: to all of you. I'm honored to be here representing
- 8:05Speaker 13: the Jane Goodall Institute. Of course, Earth Day was always
- 8:09Speaker 13: a big time for Jane and for her organization. We
- 8:13Speaker 13: just this year launched the first Jane Goodall Day on
- 8:18Speaker 13: her birthday, April third, and that's an honor of her.
- 8:22Speaker 13: So this whole month we are honoring Jane and inviting
- 8:26Speaker 13: people to make positive impacts in their communities for people,
- 8:30Speaker 13: other animals, and our shared planet.
- 8:33Speaker 24: Here free, free, free right yeah.
- 9:02Speaker 25: To everything.
- 9:08Speaker 15: We the world tour. So it's the Solutions and Tools
- 9:12Speaker 15: tour for the peoples, and it is starting in our
- 9:16Speaker 15: country here in the United States of America and going
- 9:19Speaker 15: through twenty thirty internationally, and we're doing grassroots in mega concerts.
- 9:24Speaker 7: We can learn how to communicate with people we think
- 9:28Speaker 7: we disagree with. I honestly believe that if the world
- 9:33Speaker 7: is saved, it's going to be saved by tens of
- 9:36Speaker 7: millions of little things.
- 9:38Speaker 4: For the film Hello Dad, all right, we love Dad.
- 9:41Speaker 16: And recognition of implementing a solar powered production approach and
- 9:45Speaker 16: contributing to sustainable practices in cinema with a continued commitment
- 9:50Speaker 16: to environmental awareness and conscious production. Earthday we have our
- 9:55Speaker 16: Good News Corporation Earthday dot org own the controller of
- 9:59Speaker 16: the city mark being a positive world for peace and
- 10:02Speaker 16: from a Paul Remport, it.
- 10:04Speaker 23: Means a lot for us to be on this stage.
- 10:07Speaker 13: I come from India.
- 10:08Speaker 23: In India we say Earth is Dhati. Dhirti means the
- 10:13Speaker 23: one who holds It's the mother that holds us. And
- 10:18Speaker 23: it's up to us to make sure that we are weightless,
- 10:21Speaker 23: as weightless as possible. And if I as a director,
- 10:25Speaker 23: as a student, as somebody who's starting out, can make
- 10:28Speaker 23: a sustainable film can use solar power. I believe everybody can.
- 10:33Speaker 26: Because you see, when my daughter was born, there was
- 10:36Speaker 26: this poem on the wall of her maternity ward room
- 10:41Speaker 26: and it said, what if you good? Surround yourself with carefreeeness?
- 10:46Speaker 26: And that was your space. And I'm questioning. My question
- 10:53Speaker 26: to you is isn't that what we all want for
- 10:57Speaker 26: our mothers and our children to feel safe when they're
- 11:01Speaker 26: pregnant or during childbirth and after childbirth. And yet when
- 11:08Speaker 26: I received my daughter's genetic test result, which was during
- 11:13Speaker 26: my pregnancy, I was told she had a forty three
- 11:18Speaker 26: percent chance of Edward syndrome, which was something I had
- 11:24Speaker 26: never heard of before. And when I asked our genecologist
- 11:30Speaker 26: about how why do you think she would have this?
- 11:34Speaker 26: What could be the reason? She told me that it
- 11:38Speaker 26: might be because of our environmental pollution.
- 11:42Speaker 27: Everybody Triana to be here tonight and I wama, and
- 11:49Speaker 27: are you going to introduce or one of our sponsors, Alexio,
- 11:55Speaker 27: who was the pregnant of Oriental Art Foundation, uh and
- 12:01Speaker 27: she's a Valida adanser in both in China and the
- 12:06Speaker 27: New york Y Ballet. And now welcome Alice to have speech.
- 12:12Speaker 13: To us.
- 12:17Speaker 4: What should make one of the fun you should teach
- 12:19Speaker 4: to see Alix.
- 12:20Speaker 27: Neil Uh, my name is Alix Will and insaground her
- 12:25Speaker 27: to be here.
- 12:29Speaker 2: She easily she quent to Quentin foul like it, that's
- 12:39Speaker 2: not And today is uh April twenty second.
- 12:44Speaker 27: Rsay and were perfect down the environmental profession stating.
- 12:53Speaker 2: Wakati in central as to Cytel.
- 12:57Speaker 27: Regard to support this event to our.
- 13:00Speaker 2: Day event, come here guy Sea when the help hung y'all.
- 13:07Speaker 27: Specialist Santo, my.
- 13:10Speaker 14: Friend Paul.
- 13:22Speaker 27: Wish everybody have a joyful night.
- 13:26Speaker 17: Thank you.
- 13:30Speaker 14: And one of the things that I've learned time and
- 13:32Speaker 14: time again is that money is only energy. What is
- 13:37Speaker 14: money spiritual energy? And I think that it has been
- 13:41Speaker 14: an energy that has been extractive and not regenerative. So
- 13:45Speaker 14: the only thing I want to say here today, there's
- 13:47Speaker 14: only one message that I want you all to leave with,
- 13:50Speaker 14: which is that we have built an economy that extracts
- 13:55Speaker 14: our future and sells it in the present moment.
- 13:58Speaker 4: And you know what we call it.
- 14:01Speaker 14: We call it g d P gross domestic product. But
- 14:06Speaker 14: what is gross domestic product? Gross domestic product was created
- 14:10Speaker 14: by a man named Simon Puisnett and He created it
- 14:13Speaker 14: for a five year window to look at how much
- 14:16Speaker 14: we were spending during war in nineteen thirty four. And
- 14:20Speaker 14: now it's been over ninety two years that we've been
- 14:23Speaker 14: using a system that was built for five years. I
- 14:26Speaker 14: think it's time we stop, and I think it's time
- 14:29Speaker 14: we reintroduced a new concept. So as a fellow mathematician,
- 14:34Speaker 14: I'd like to introduce the concept of g d R
- 14:38Speaker 14: Gross domestic regeneration.
- 14:40Speaker 17: My mom was so supportive in my dream of being
- 14:43Speaker 17: a magician, and I wanted to bring a little.
- 14:45Speaker 22: Bit of magic to earth and war today to day.
- 14:47Speaker 22: And this trick was actually one of my mom's favorite tricks.
- 14:50Speaker 22: I do think my first show when I was eight
- 14:52Speaker 22: years old. It's kind of an old trick, but I
- 14:54Speaker 22: think it still hangs up. It's going to use a newspaper.
- 14:57Speaker 22: It's only two sheets of newspaper.
- 14:59Speaker 6: We don't need the whole.
- 15:00Speaker 22: Things of this and anyway to make it clear of.
- 15:01Speaker 4: You to see.
- 15:02Speaker 17: And this is really more of an illusion than it
- 15:05Speaker 17: is a magic trick.
- 15:06Speaker 28: And I call this the illusion of the torn newspaper
- 15:11Speaker 28: because it looks like I tear the newspaper, but I
- 15:16Speaker 28: don't see.
- 15:17Speaker 4: If you watch carefully.
- 15:18Speaker 17: It sounds like I tear the newspapers first, I bring
- 15:23Speaker 17: it really close to the mic.
- 15:23Speaker 22: This would be kind of annoying for Natalie who's.
- 15:25Speaker 4: Behind the camera.
- 15:26Speaker 26: Here.
- 15:26Speaker 10: You can really hear it.
- 15:29Speaker 17: Really sounds like it. It's a perfect illusion because it
- 15:32Speaker 17: actually looks like you can see the individual pieces of
- 15:37Speaker 17: the newspaper, but you can't because this whole time, the
- 15:43Speaker 17: newspaper is still completely undamaged and whole, just as when
- 15:47Speaker 17: we started. So thanks for joining me for this incredible
- 15:51Speaker 17: piece of magic the earth and walk to day.
- 15:55Speaker 4: There is the newspaper you can see.
- 15:57Speaker 14: This is the front page, This is the middle page,
- 16:00Speaker 14: is the back page.
- 16:00Speaker 17: It is an illusion. That's how it's done. Have a
- 16:03Speaker 17: great time, everybody, and I hope at some point we
- 16:05Speaker 17: get to see you here at our show.
- 16:07Speaker 4: Amaze. And I'll have you know that Mia is.
- 16:14Speaker 16: Our good friend, Michelle's daughter who's an own producer of
- 16:18Speaker 16: the event, and she's a New York City school student,
- 16:23Speaker 16: and she's going to be performing in the home segment,
- 16:25Speaker 16: which is going to start at four.
- 16:27Speaker 4: O'clock, God willing.
- 16:29Speaker 16: And so the question was this, we've asked four people.
- 16:37Speaker 16: We have two here and two that aren't here, okay,
- 16:40Speaker 16: And the question was this, what kind of impact do
- 16:44Speaker 16: I want to make in the world, Mia, I want
- 16:49Speaker 16: to make.
- 16:50Speaker 25: An impact on the world that I want people to
- 16:53Speaker 25: treat the earth like it's one of their loved ones.
- 16:56Speaker 4: And I want to make people happy.
- 16:59Speaker 29: With my music.
- 17:03Speaker 16: That's great. And you do make people with happy with
- 17:06Speaker 16: your music, since I've heard it and it's original, she
- 17:11Speaker 16: writes the music. She sings the music no fooling around here, okay?
- 17:15Speaker 16: And another no fooling around? Guy Hudson, Henley Hudson, Who's anybody?
- 17:20Speaker 16: Says a song sung blue Neil Diamond, local guy Brooklyn,
- 17:24Speaker 16: New York, who saw the movie any case. This gentleman
- 17:29Speaker 16: was the son of Kate Hudson. Ironic, his name is
- 17:32Speaker 16: Hudson and Hugh Jackman. Okay, this was the son in
- 17:37Speaker 16: the movie, A great actor, a great personality. And I
- 17:41Speaker 16: also asked him, what kind of impact do I want
- 17:45Speaker 16: to make in the world.
- 17:48Speaker 30: I think that the greatest impact that I can make
- 17:51Speaker 30: is using my platform as an actor to bring consciousness
- 17:56Speaker 30: into educate people about the importance of taking care of her,
- 18:00Speaker 30: because without the girth and all they keep for God,
- 18:03Speaker 30: there is no wealth, no health and new safety for anyone.
- 18:08Speaker 4: Wow. Powerful, two very powerful statements. Thank you very much.
- 18:13Speaker 16: Okay, I'm going to add two more from my grandkids
- 18:16Speaker 16: who can't be here today because they're in school and
- 18:20Speaker 16: out of town. But this is very important for me,
- 18:25Speaker 16: actually the reason why I continue doing this for twenty
- 18:27Speaker 16: four years, especially the Peace one Earth Day as well,
- 18:31Speaker 16: but the International Day of Piece. We're definitely on the
- 18:35Speaker 16: no war story.
- 18:37Speaker 4: What are you wearing?
- 18:39Speaker 29: That is beautiful, Joe, Thank you, Jovis, Thank you everybody
- 18:44Speaker 29: for having me here today. Huge shout out to stand
- 18:48Speaker 29: Lake Church of England Primary School.
- 18:50Speaker 12: They worked so hard.
- 18:52Speaker 4: They made a bunch of.
- 18:53Speaker 29: Illustrations, lots of text, all of these amazing climate messages.
- 18:57Speaker 24: Let me do a little twelve.
- 19:01Speaker 29: They work so well special sects do you guys over
- 19:04Speaker 29: and standy Chuchu being in the primary school, you did
- 19:06Speaker 29: an amazing job.
- 19:07Speaker 4: So I can bring these over and wear them today.
- 19:10Speaker 13: I have my daughter Mia narcisso Krutz and her beautiful friends,
- 19:14Speaker 13: my dad VV and Gwen, who are also my favorites.
- 19:18Speaker 14: These little girls are all incredible.
- 19:22Speaker 27: And I just want to say that Mia is a
- 19:25Speaker 27: is a songwriter and when I asked her to write
- 19:27Speaker 27: a song for Earth Day, and I try to give
- 19:29Speaker 27: her some background.
- 19:30Speaker 10: She said, I got it so.
- 19:32Speaker 5: Anyway, And this is her song that she wrote, and
- 19:34Speaker 5: I'm really really excited for you all to hear it.
- 19:37Speaker 10: Thank you so much.
- 19:38Speaker 27: Oh, I know who I am.
- 19:40Speaker 25: My feet touched the man. I know who I am
- 19:45Speaker 25: on my feet touched silent. I know who I am
- 19:49Speaker 25: my feet touched on it. I know what I have
- 19:53Speaker 25: and what I can Sunlight, soil, water, these a face
- 20:02Speaker 25: and Lenniga Slack and sunlight ghost the bloke Content takes
- 20:08Speaker 25: a show. Stars are sparkling. You can say glow.
- 20:15Speaker 12: Please welcome the amazing Chris Decker.
- 20:17Speaker 4: Y'all, thank you Aeron. Great to be here everyone. I
- 20:24Speaker 4: just want to take a brief.

- 20:30Speaker 12: team who put this incredible event together.
- 20:32Speaker 4: And look where we are.
- 20:34Speaker 1: I mean, it's incredible to be standing on this stage
- 20:37Speaker 1: in Times Square, one of the world's busiest and most
- 20:42Speaker 1: colorful by far, you.
- 20:44Speaker 8: Know places on the planet.
- 20:45Speaker 6: Crossfrows here, So.
- 20:48Speaker 24: Give it up for Max.
- 20:49Speaker 14: Give it up for Max.
- 20:50Speaker 1: This is one of one of our local youth soccer stars.
- 20:54Speaker 14: The World Cup is coming.
- 20:56Speaker 12: We want to give youth not only balls that are
- 20:59Speaker 12: good for the planet, but also good for their health
- 21:02Speaker 12: and for the whole supply chain. So ceremonially, with your help,
