- 1:11Speaker 2: Tara can say you said it right.
- 1:16Speaker 3: All the time that you can't say it.
- 1:17Speaker 4: And I thought you couldn't say it's.
- 1:21Speaker 2: The truth. I forgot how to say it. I did
- 1:25Speaker 2: that right my podcast.
- 1:28Speaker 3: That's your ex So Tracy, Yes, I say I said
- 1:31Speaker 3: it right.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Said now, I'm so proud of myself.
- 1:35Speaker 3: That's because you have a doctrine, your next doctrine?
- 1:38Speaker 4: What am I?
- 1:39Speaker 1: What are you?
- 1:40Speaker 2: Priests?
- 1:41Speaker 3: What do you doctorate?
- 1:49Speaker 2: Doctorate? A doctor? A doctrine is doctor?
- 1:53Speaker 1: What am I?
- 1:53Speaker 2: Carrying the cross together?
- 1:55Speaker 3: You get you're carrying the course to get your both docs.
- 1:58Speaker 3: It's on your shoulder. Why you give the bolt talks?
- 2:03Speaker 3: So we have another This day is.
- 2:05Speaker 2: Filled with comedians. Yeah, we had Eric di Alessandro.
- 2:11Speaker 3: We had what Colin Quinn is after Tara.
- 2:14Speaker 4: And there my comic crush. That's my comic crush. I
- 2:21Speaker 4: always told Catherine that was my comic crush, and then
- 2:23Speaker 4: she was working with him and I was like, oh
- 2:25Speaker 4: my god.
- 2:26Speaker 3: Wait, could she please tell tell you a quick story
- 2:28Speaker 3: about the cut out?
- 2:29Speaker 4: All so I'm my first date with my husband. I
- 2:32Speaker 4: was such a fan that one of my friends for
- 2:34Speaker 4: my birthday gave me a cardboard cutout of Colin Quinn.
- 2:36Speaker 3: It was a joke, life size, and so I would
- 2:39Speaker 3: I put it.
- 2:39Speaker 4: In the front of my house and I would come
- 2:40Speaker 4: home and go, Hi, honey, I'm home as a show.
- 2:43Speaker 4: So my first day with my husband, you know you're
- 2:45Speaker 4: going to first day with somebody you don't think that
- 2:46Speaker 4: could have walked. I mean, I wasn't the type that
- 2:48Speaker 4: they were going to come inside. But he walked me
- 2:50Speaker 4: to the front door. After our date, and when I
- 2:52Speaker 4: opened the door, cardboard and I was like, well, this
- 3:00Speaker 4: guy is stuck around. After that, even from when we
- 3:02Speaker 4: got engaged, he gave me tickets to see Colin show Funny.
- 3:06Speaker 4: So then Catherine, you were there. Cat, I did a
- 3:10Speaker 4: show with Colin years later at a benefit in the Bronx. Yes,
- 3:14Speaker 4: and I always loved gushed over Colin and my husband
- 3:19Speaker 4: and Colin finally meet and Colin goes, oh, you're the husband,
- 3:21Speaker 4: and Mike goes, you look better in cardboard.
- 3:25Speaker 2: He goes, I deserve that.
- 3:27Speaker 4: I deserve that she gushes over me.
- 3:29Speaker 2: You're allowed to get your.
- 3:30Speaker 3: First shot in love that I want to ask you
- 3:33Speaker 3: a question. I was asking Rick some questions which I
- 3:36Speaker 3: never asked you because on chazz Is we usually talk
- 3:39Speaker 3: about day to day stuff.
- 3:40Speaker 2: You know, I want to ask you, as a.
- 3:43Speaker 3: Comedian who is your favorite comedian right now today?
- 3:48Speaker 2: If you had to pick one, who do you love?
- 3:50Speaker 2: I know that's hard. It's like what's your favorite song?
- 3:53Speaker 2: Who's your favorite?
- 3:54Speaker 4: I guess aside from Present Company, we just what talks
- 3:57Speaker 4: about Colin who. I just think he's I think he's
- 3:59Speaker 4: in his own category.
- 4:00Speaker 2: It's amazing.
- 4:01Speaker 4: Yeah, I think he's separate than like regular stands ups
- 4:03Speaker 4: to me, he's also the king of the one man show. Now.
- 4:06Speaker 4: But like comics that I love, I guess comics that
- 4:10Speaker 4: I work with, like because I don't sit around, you
- 4:12Speaker 4: know this Captain always like, let's go to this comedy
- 4:13Speaker 4: show and I'm like, I'm not going to a comedy show.
- 4:16Speaker 2: Comics, why just you don't do it?
- 4:18Speaker 4: And if I work with them, like I took her
- 4:20Speaker 4: to see one person I loved, Adrian Applelucci. Yes, and
- 4:24Speaker 4: because I feel like there's nobody like Adrian and she
- 4:27Speaker 4: has a special comedy.
- 4:28Speaker 2: Now this go crosses the line like you wouldn't believe.
- 4:31Speaker 4: And you go, oh my god, But it works for her.
- 4:34Speaker 4: I don't think there's anybody like her doing it. So
- 4:36Speaker 4: I really love that, Like when somebody has a comedic
- 4:38Speaker 4: voice that's not common because you know, you could really
- 4:41Speaker 4: repeat each other after a while, the same ideas, same thoughts,
- 4:44Speaker 4: you know, same observations. I think, yeah, Josh Wolf, you know,
- 4:49Speaker 4: but I've been on the road with Josh, so of
- 4:51Speaker 4: course I have a deeper appreciation for what he does
- 4:53Speaker 4: because I'm watching it.
- 4:54Speaker 3: Do you have any female comment besides her Adrian?
- 4:57Speaker 4: I mean, I love Tracy Carnazzo, who.
- 5:01Speaker 2: You know what, I grew up with Tracy.
- 5:03Speaker 4: I think she's somebody else who has a very specific voice.
- 5:06Speaker 4: It's not what every other comic is doing.
- 5:10Speaker 2: She has a different perspective, especially Italian comic.
- 5:12Speaker 4: Yeah, and she doesn't even go that I'll play to that,
- 5:15Speaker 4: I'll pander today.
- 5:17Speaker 2: She doesn't do that different.
- 5:20Speaker 4: So I love that. I love I love voices like
- 5:22Speaker 4: that that are just different.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Yeah. So where are you playing now?
- 5:27Speaker 3: So let's talk about a big deal for you in
- 5:30Speaker 3: your career and where you're going.
- 5:32Speaker 2: She just got a.
- 5:33Speaker 3: Residency, her first residency, and it's their first time getting
- 5:38Speaker 3: a comic residency to do a residency.
- 5:42Speaker 2: They've never done it.
- 5:43Speaker 4: Tell Niagara Falls, it's yuck, Yuck's Niagara. It's actually at
- 5:49Speaker 4: a little symbolic now because it's it's all nostalgic. It's
- 5:52Speaker 4: where I met Catherine.
- 5:53Speaker 3: Oh, yes, we did a sopranos thing, and uh, what
- 5:58Speaker 3: did we do?
- 5:59Speaker 4: You had knows event and I the next night I
- 6:02Speaker 4: was doing the shows with any so they flew me
- 6:04Speaker 4: in a day early and I came to your event?
- 6:06Speaker 3: Right?
- 6:07Speaker 1: Wow?
- 6:08Speaker 2: And then how I met yours? How long have you
- 6:10Speaker 2: known each other?
- 6:11Speaker 4: Now that's gotta be five it was before the pandemic. Yeah,
- 6:16Speaker 4: how old do you take me?
- 6:18Speaker 2: I'm forty four? Right, I'm a doctor.
- 6:21Speaker 3: I can ask and I do botox always if you
- 6:24Speaker 3: don't want to answer twenty four?
- 6:25Speaker 4: But after you do my both know what I do?
- 6:28Speaker 2: My cousin, my cousin. They go like this when you
- 6:32Speaker 2: go to the doctor's office where it's an open thing, nothing, or.
- 6:35Speaker 3: You go to CBS to pick up your what's your data?
- 6:38Speaker 2: Bird? And I could I have a pen and a paper?
- 6:44Speaker 2: It's true as my data birth? What the fuck?
- 6:49Speaker 4: It's not public?
- 6:49Speaker 1: No?
- 6:50Speaker 2: What's your data?
- 6:52Speaker 3: Man?
- 6:53Speaker 2: No pen and paper? Please?
- 6:56Speaker 3: Why you don't want to tell people how old you?
- 6:58Speaker 2: No? Nobody's business. What is it gonna do? What is
- 7:00Speaker 2: it gonna make you feel good? You got something? You
- 7:02Speaker 2: figure it's out now.
- 7:03Speaker 3: No, I just I wear my asia as a badge
- 7:06Speaker 3: of honor. I'm happy to tell people, mamitay, so.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Play the violence. But so you know each other for
- 7:17Speaker 2: five years.
- 7:17Speaker 4: About five years, I mean I that it was before
- 7:19Speaker 4: the pandemic.
- 7:20Speaker 3: Was walking into each other on Instagram for a while.
- 7:23Speaker 3: It's got to be you were trying to get together
- 7:26Speaker 3: for us, like I knew, Like I knew that her
- 7:28Speaker 3: and I we just just talking on because we have
- 7:31Speaker 3: mutual people that we knew. And I'm like, I know
- 7:34Speaker 3: when we meet each other, we're gonna love each other.
- 7:36Speaker 3: And that's and that's exactly what she brought this beautiful year.
- 7:39Speaker 4: They are beautiful. She's a good gift giver.
- 7:42Speaker 3: She is.
- 7:43Speaker 4: I will say she is a good gift giver.
- 7:45Speaker 2: I got a gift from you, you dude. I love
- 7:51Speaker 2: glad you like them. I do this so pretty right.
- 7:53Speaker 3: But I just love you energy, and I just knew
- 7:57Speaker 3: we'd be friends. And I'm like, now we're in this
- 7:59Speaker 3: wholemance gather instead of a romance, it's a home man.
- 8:02Speaker 2: I like that is right. Yeah, So no, I just
- 8:05Speaker 2: love her and I'm gonna I'm gonna, I'm gonna.
- 8:11Speaker 4: Five all three of us are involved, just the two
- 8:13Speaker 4: of them, and I'm the third wheel behind them. My
- 8:16Speaker 4: anniversary this year, we went upstate, Me, Mike, and Catherine,
- 8:22Speaker 4: oh so.
- 8:22Speaker 3: Very romantic, did at Floral at Feast and floors popping Hudson.
- 8:27Speaker 4: That's so odd.
- 8:28Speaker 2: The room we stayed in.
- 8:29Speaker 4: Was the king size bed for us, and she stayed
- 8:32Speaker 4: in the twin bed next to us like a daughter.
- 8:34Speaker 4: She wouldn't go in another room because she was scared
- 8:37Speaker 4: of the big house we were in. So my anniversary
- 8:40Speaker 4: was the three of us and then her and Mike.
- 8:42Speaker 4: It's nice they go, they walk off together, so she.
- 8:44Speaker 2: Could be on her phone doing so much media.
- 8:46Speaker 4: That's what I gotta do, social media.
- 8:48Speaker 2: It's all right, so you're doing. What are you doing
- 8:51Speaker 2: in the feast? Why you were here? You came to feast?
- 8:55Speaker 4: I did, and then I did Italian words and phrases
- 8:57Speaker 4: on the street because that's really been really popular. And
- 8:59Speaker 4: then I ran into the guys here.
- 9:01Speaker 3: And now you also have a thing you're doing on
- 9:04Speaker 3: your couch. I am.
- 9:05Speaker 4: It's called coffee talk. Ten minutes a cup of coffee
- 9:10Speaker 4: in the morning with me every Monday morning.
- 9:13Speaker 2: That's it.
- 9:14Speaker 4: Just ten minutes in a robe, pajamas.
- 9:17Speaker 2: And I just talk to you.
- 9:19Speaker 4: I haven't done guests yet. I've done about I only
- 9:21Speaker 4: had two episodes out. Now you have coffee with me,
- 9:24Speaker 4: you come up my couch. I love to do that
- 9:26Speaker 4: and with coffee coffee. Yeah, let's get in person. That's
- 9:30Speaker 4: the whole point is No, we got to be in person,
- 9:32Speaker 4: we got to be together.
- 9:33Speaker 2: I agree with that.
- 9:34Speaker 3: I feel like everything is not in person anymore, and
- 9:37Speaker 3: I feel like we need to bring it back.
- 9:38Speaker 4: Absolutely zooms and stop.
- 9:40Speaker 2: With the lives. People need to be in person.
- 9:43Speaker 4: Even even the setting the playdates where Catherine's a good
- 9:46Speaker 4: friend is Katherine will be like, hey let's do this,
- 9:48Speaker 4: Hey let's go here. She'll be spur of the moment.
- 9:51Speaker 4: People don't do that anymore. Everybody has to have a plan.
- 9:54Speaker 4: You're not goa plans as.
- 9:56Speaker 2: I always cancer. Now he's the canceler.
- 9:58Speaker 4: She's on a planet. But she unspur the moment. You
- 10:01Speaker 4: can get a meal, you can get a cloth, you
- 10:03Speaker 4: you go into the city. We don't do that anymore,
- 10:05Speaker 4: but everybody so do.
- 10:07Speaker 3: I because I you know, I have run a business,
- 10:09Speaker 3: so I'm like I never know when I could do anything.
- 10:12Speaker 4: I'm like all right, what are you doing?
- 10:13Speaker 2: Do you want to go?
- 10:14Speaker 3: Yeah, spur the moment, last minute? So what was the
- 10:19Speaker 3: last thing I wanted to say? What time do we
- 10:21Speaker 3: have here? We have we got we got ten minutes, so.
- 10:25Speaker 4: Before our comedy crush comes through the.
- 10:29Speaker 3: Door, could I just say something? She does things with
- 10:33Speaker 3: other people. I'm not saying, don't do it.
- 10:36Speaker 2: I liked.
- 10:36Speaker 3: I even told her I like the fact that she's
- 10:38Speaker 3: doing it alone on her couch.
- 10:40Speaker 2: I like, it's your take for ten minutes. You get
- 10:43Speaker 2: to see who.
- 10:43Speaker 4: You are personally. Yeah, you're enough and.
- 10:47Speaker 2: This one you're enough.
- 10:49Speaker 3: Yeah. And the podcast she does with me she does
- 10:52Speaker 3: on the street, she does the stoop. I like the
- 10:55Speaker 3: fact she's on I said, I like that you're in
- 10:57Speaker 3: your role too, on her beautiful out in her house.
- 11:02Speaker 3: It's a ten minute take point of view. Don't need
- 11:05Speaker 3: to do anything. Loves the Yeah, I wouldn't.
- 11:10Speaker 4: But you know, I'm not trying, no, no, no, no,
- 11:12Speaker 4: it's just honestly, I was.
- 11:14Speaker 2: Just I was saying it to be physicial, I know,
- 11:16Speaker 2: but it's my rant of the day. I like that
- 11:19Speaker 2: you're doing that.
- 11:20Speaker 3: I think it's simple, it's not over complicated, and it's
- 11:25Speaker 3: I think when somebody talks alone. You know, I did
- 11:29Speaker 3: two videos that I put up on alive something that upset.
- 11:33Speaker 2: Me, and I forgot what it was. I remember that
- 11:35Speaker 2: during the pandemic.
- 11:36Speaker 4: I remember it.
- 11:37Speaker 3: I can't even tell you the response. I never in
- 11:40Speaker 3: the what is it in your stories? I remember it
- 11:45Speaker 3: was the most I remember people responding and talking to
- 11:49Speaker 3: me and sharing it.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Then everyone was like what. I didn't even expect it.
- 11:54Speaker 2: In fact, I was going to delete it.
- 11:56Speaker 3: And it was just about a little rant about empathy, yes,
- 12:01Speaker 3: and which ones that are going on? People follow each other,
- 12:05Speaker 3: somebody says one bad thing and then about a person,
- 12:10Speaker 3: and then everybody's on board, waiting.
- 12:12Speaker 2: To at chat on their little keyboard.
- 12:14Speaker 3: I remember, and it's just like this, like nobody's standing up,
- 12:17Speaker 3: going hey, wait a minute, like let's hear that other
- 12:20Speaker 3: person's side.
- 12:21Speaker 2: It's like, no empathy and no.
- 12:24Speaker 4: I love that you said you wanted to delete it
- 12:25Speaker 4: and it went so wild. Those are the videos, and
- 12:27Speaker 4: I also like that. I feel like I showed myself
- 12:30Speaker 4: with her, and people love the moments with me her
- 12:32Speaker 4: and chats because they look like they're behind the scenes
- 12:35Speaker 4: with friends. But most of my stuff comedy wise is
- 12:38Speaker 4: surface level stuff. My social media surfle level, surface level stuff.
- 12:41Speaker 4: So like she's saying, people do get the inside. Like
- 12:44Speaker 4: I'll talk about a lot of things that I normally
- 12:47Speaker 4: would never speak.
- 12:48Speaker 3: I like that publicly, and I like one of the time,
- 12:50Speaker 3: I won't like it if it was going too long.
- 12:52Speaker 4: It's like, I'm already ten minutes, ten minutes. Who's coffee?
- 12:55Speaker 2: Ten minutes? That's all this. We were just talking. We're
- 12:57Speaker 2: just talking about it.
- 12:58Speaker 4: Whatever Contenson spans was nobody we.
- 13:01Speaker 2: Have to say drinks.
- 13:02Speaker 3: It's attention span, Like, how do you keep people's attention.
- 13:08Speaker 2: Especially the kids there?
- 13:10Speaker 3: If you could hold their attention for what I know,
- 13:12Speaker 3: three minutes and that TikTok.
- 13:14Speaker 4: Social media forget it. It's all about, you know, retaining
- 13:18Speaker 4: people's attention. And I want to watch anything.
- 13:20Speaker 3: That's why people would would like even watching shows and stuff.
- 13:23Speaker 2: I think that's why the viewership is so low because
- 13:25Speaker 2: the next generation is not doing that. They're just not
- 13:28Speaker 2: It's sad and skinny.
- 13:30Speaker 3: It's insand I wish they would unplug the internet for
- 13:33Speaker 3: one year, take a break.
- 13:35Speaker 4: She wished we could take a break.
- 13:36Speaker 2: Yeah we should.
- 13:38Speaker 3: It was like we took a break the good part
- 13:39Speaker 3: about twenty was I thought that everybody stopped, sat back,
- 13:44Speaker 3: hung out, realized what was important, hung out with their families.
- 13:47Speaker 2: And reset. And that was the great lockdown on the
- 13:50Speaker 2: lockdown that was the only good part.
- 13:52Speaker 3: Was the world's greatest gift and the greatest tragedy.
- 13:56Speaker 1: It was.
- 13:59Speaker 3: It was it was gonna yes, yes, because I'll tell
- 14:01Speaker 3: you one thing. The lockdown was the big reset, because
- 14:07Speaker 3: I'll tell you what. Nobody was shopping. Nobody was going out.
- 14:11Speaker 2: John, you could go Collin's here, Oh good, Oh no,
- 14:16Speaker 2: chop liver.
- 14:17Speaker 4: I am chopped liver for Colin. And God.
- 14:21Speaker 2: Do I get to keep my water?
- 14:23Speaker 4: Can I keep my water?
- 14:24Speaker 2: Can I keep my water?
- 14:28Speaker 3: Here?
- 14:28Speaker 4: Here, Colin? Nobody else on this bench had a carboy
- 14:32Speaker 4: cut out of you.
