- 0:00Speaker 1: Where should I begin?
- 0:00Speaker 2: Can we talk about this?
- 0:01Speaker 3: Say?
- 0:02Speaker 4: What are you trying to do?
- 0:03Speaker 5: Beyond the usual controversial talking.
- 0:10Speaker 6: Welcome to one.
- 0:12Speaker 2: To prepare yourself.
- 0:14Speaker 7: Okay for Craig preparing my Deus spectacle.
- 0:19Speaker 2: Here particulate stimulated your writing. There there you go back,
- 0:27Speaker 2: you start becoming a geen. Is the Craigcullin Show.
- 0:33Speaker 8: Jesus, oh God, no talking.
- 0:36Speaker 2: This station is well the ultimate power in the universe.
- 0:39Speaker 8: Your host's a good man.
- 0:42Speaker 9: That's right.
- 0:43Speaker 6: It is, in fact, the Craig Collins Show. K S
- 0:45Speaker 6: e V seven hundred am, the Voice of Texas.
- 0:49Speaker 8: Thrilled to be with you.
- 0:50Speaker 6: Producer Phil is in studio doing producer Phil stuff and
- 0:54Speaker 6: answering the questions or answering the phone calls. Excuse me,
- 0:57Speaker 6: and anybody that wants to talk to me, you talk
- 0:59Speaker 6: to him first.
- 1:00Speaker 8: I've been filling in for Dana Lash.
- 1:03Speaker 6: I did that seven days in a row, so all
- 1:05Speaker 6: last week, in the first two days of this week,
- 1:07Speaker 6: I'm now done. They there was a little bit of
- 1:09Speaker 6: time where they thought maybe Dana had some travel challenges
- 1:14Speaker 6: that luckily worked out that I might have also done tomorrow,
- 1:18Speaker 6: and I was like, yeah, I'll do that show. Anytime
- 1:20Speaker 6: you want, as many times as you want. But she'll
- 1:22Speaker 6: be back tomorrow. So Dana returns, and then I'm only
- 1:25Speaker 6: doing two radio gigs a day for the rest of
- 1:27Speaker 6: the week because I have another thing going on in
- 1:29Speaker 6: Indianapolis for those three week I know, like Phil has
- 1:32Speaker 6: like six jobs too.
- 1:33Speaker 8: Actually, I think, as you're not in.
- 1:34Speaker 6: Your head, it's crazy when you do that, when you
- 1:37Speaker 6: do like the what do they call that, all the
- 1:39Speaker 6: gig work or whatever, just whatever that is, the hustle
- 1:42Speaker 6: work that's out.
- 1:43Speaker 8: There, Yeah, freelancing.
- 1:44Speaker 6: It's crazy when you have the famine version where you
- 1:47Speaker 6: have seven jobs all at once, Yeah, and then a
- 1:49Speaker 6: week later nothing.
- 1:50Speaker 2: It'll be yeah, exactly, it's crazy.
- 1:53Speaker 6: It'll be like, why can't some of these jobs land
- 1:57Speaker 6: in the Not that I'm going to say no. I'm
- 1:59Speaker 6: gonna say yes to ev everything, A thousand percent yes
- 2:02Speaker 6: to hosting a national show for Dana Lash that I
- 2:05Speaker 6: think has like eight million weekly listeners, Like, let me
- 2:07Speaker 6: say yes to that. I don't care what's going on, Like,
- 2:10Speaker 6: I'll do a lot of things. My wife went to
- 2:12Speaker 6: Mexico today, Phil, She's in Mexico for a week. Is
- 2:16Speaker 6: your wife from here or no?
- 2:17Speaker 2: Okay, you're not.
- 2:19Speaker 6: I know that you're originally from somewhere else too, and
- 2:21Speaker 6: so since I'm married to somebody that's from somewhere else,
- 2:24Speaker 6: she gets on a plane and she's gone for a
- 2:25Speaker 6: week and then she'll be back.
- 2:27Speaker 8: Because of the Dana Show. She wanted me so.
- 2:30Speaker 6: Bad to drop her at the airport that I dropped
- 2:31Speaker 6: at the airport like five hours before a flight.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Wow, I know.
- 2:34Speaker 8: And I was like, you can take an uber, you
- 2:37Speaker 8: don't have to have me do it.
- 2:38Speaker 6: She's like, you always do it. I want you to
- 2:40Speaker 6: do it. And I was like, it's fine, you're gonna
- 2:42Speaker 6: be there at TAD early. And so she was there
- 2:45Speaker 6: TAD very much before her flight. But I'm dude, I'm
- 2:49Speaker 6: not going to sacrifice the Dana Show. The missus gets
- 2:52Speaker 6: dropped off five hours at the airport. When you're doing
- 2:57Speaker 6: the hustle, work man, you go home for a while
- 2:59Speaker 6: every once in a while, I assume.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Yeah, every once in a while, I do, Like during
- 3:02Speaker 2: the holidays and stuff like that.
- 3:04Speaker 8: Does she go with you or no?
- 3:05Speaker 2: She did recently, Okay, Yeahsaday did.
- 3:09Speaker 6: For a while now, we've been doing the thing where
- 3:11Speaker 6: Betty just goes by herself, there's some family stuff going on,
- 3:14Speaker 6: some health issues, and she wants to be there, and financially,
- 3:18Speaker 6: it's just hasn't really made sense for me to go
- 3:20Speaker 6: to There's been other ways that we've been kind of
- 3:22Speaker 6: helping the family, and so she was starting to tell
- 3:25Speaker 6: me today like this is my third or fourth time
- 3:28Speaker 6: that I'm going without you, and I was like.
- 3:30Speaker 8: Yeah, that's true. I don't know what to do about that.
- 3:33Speaker 6: And then I'll probably get a phone call when she's
- 3:35Speaker 6: there from her mom, but through her because her mom
- 3:38Speaker 6: only speaks Spanish, where it'll be like, man, Craig's not
- 3:41Speaker 6: here again, and I'm like, I'm not. I'm doing a
- 3:43Speaker 6: bunch of things. Although I'll tell you this, I don't
- 3:46Speaker 6: know if this matters. I gave her some money and
- 3:49Speaker 6: I told her to take the family to a dinner.
- 3:51Speaker 6: I'm like, do that as Craig Craig thing and then
- 3:54Speaker 6: hopefully that'll help a little bit.
- 3:56Speaker 8: Same, that's what she said. Respect Yeah, dude, it just
- 4:01Speaker 8: I don't know.
- 4:02Speaker 6: Her father has been having some health issues for a
- 4:03Speaker 6: couple of years now, and we've been we've been helping
- 4:06Speaker 6: out with it, and so every time we have a discussion,
- 4:09Speaker 6: I'm like, well, we could keep helping, or they could
- 4:11Speaker 6: see my face, and they don't need to see my face.
- 4:14Speaker 8: They'd rather we help out with some other stuff.
- 4:16Speaker 2: Yeah, I think it's muscle hood around JA.
- 4:19Speaker 3: I know.
- 4:20Speaker 6: Well, I'm gonna say this, her mom and her dad
- 4:22Speaker 6: and everybody will pretend they miss me. They just care
- 4:25Speaker 6: about her. They just want her there, like that's all
- 4:27Speaker 6: it matters. My's mostly actually not that I intended to
- 4:31Speaker 6: do this. I'm going to start the show with a
- 4:32Speaker 6: little quick story that I love. During COVID, there was
- 4:36Speaker 6: a four month period where I just happened to be
- 4:38Speaker 6: able to be doing a lot of stuff remotely, and
- 4:40Speaker 6: my wife really wanted to be in Mexico with her family,
- 4:43Speaker 6: so we lived there. I lived there for like four
- 4:45Speaker 6: months in San Luis Poto, Ca, Mexico, and I did
- 4:48Speaker 6: a bunch of shows and sometimes criticized a lot of
- 4:52Speaker 6: things happening on the opposite side of the border, which
- 4:54Speaker 6: was kind of funny as I was talking about border
- 4:56Speaker 6: issues and other stuff. But my favorite thing that happen
- 5:00Speaker 6: happened when we were living there is her niece was
- 5:03Speaker 6: doing this tree of like all the family tree people,
- 5:06Speaker 6: and she drew in her her aunt, my wife. Teapoyo
- 5:10Speaker 6: is her name. They call her chicken in Mexico. And
- 5:13Speaker 6: I remember she looked up at her grandmother, my mother
- 5:16Speaker 6: in law, and asked in Spanish. And I understood it
- 5:18Speaker 6: philt because I get some Spanish. Where does Tiapoio live?
- 5:23Speaker 8: Like what place?
- 5:24Speaker 6: Because I'm supposed to write where they all live under
- 5:26Speaker 6: their name? Where does she live? And the mom very
- 5:29Speaker 6: quickly said Mexico. And so the kid wrote Mexico under
- 5:32Speaker 6: my wife's picture, and then she drew a branch for
- 5:35Speaker 6: me and she wrote where does he live?
- 5:37Speaker 8: And I crap you not? She said we don't care?
- 5:40Speaker 8: That was her first. She's like, we don't care.
- 5:42Speaker 6: And then she said something like wow, the United States,
- 5:45Speaker 6: but like it just came out of her, like we
- 5:47Speaker 6: don't care where he lives.
- 5:48Speaker 8: He stole my daughter, he lives somewhere.
- 5:51Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, I did.
- 5:54Speaker 6: I loved I still remember that. I tell my wife
- 5:56Speaker 6: about that all the time. She's like, you misunderstood it.
- 5:58Speaker 6: I'm like, no, I didn't. I picked it up up
- 6:00Speaker 6: exactly word for word. Where does he live?
- 6:02Speaker 8: Who cares?
- 6:03Speaker 6: Doesn't matter? He needs to go as well. You say again,
- 6:07Speaker 6: I lost you for a second.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Yeah, just be like, Hey, I want my daughter taking
- 6:13Speaker 2: care of.
- 6:13Speaker 6: Right, be safe and sound, and I want her here
- 6:17Speaker 6: with us when she's here. And then I guess she
- 6:19Speaker 6: can go be with you because you married her and
- 6:21Speaker 6: stole her. Yeah, exactly, it's the whole thing, all right,
- 6:24Speaker 6: good talk, But bet Betty is going to be in
- 6:26Speaker 6: Mexico for a week, so I'm I'm solo hanging out
- 6:30Speaker 6: the house. That means I also play a bunch more
- 6:31Speaker 6: video games because I am a millennial.
- 6:33Speaker 8: I'm a forty year old man.
- 6:35Speaker 6: I have a video game that I haven't played in
- 6:36Speaker 6: a long time because the missus judges me for doing it,
- 6:39Speaker 6: so she's gone.
- 6:41Speaker 8: That's the easiest way, the cheapest way to spend a
- 6:43Speaker 8: bunch of time.
- 6:43Speaker 6: I am going to resist going and seeing Spider Man,
- 6:46Speaker 6: which is opening this weekend, the newest Spider Man movie
- 6:49Speaker 6: for Marvel.
- 6:50Speaker 8: You a fan of those or no?
- 6:51Speaker 6: Okay, Well, the Newest Spider Man is coming out and
- 6:53Speaker 6: it actually looks decent. Some of the recent Marvel movies
- 6:56Speaker 6: have not been good, but this one looks pretty good.
- 6:59Speaker 6: But I'm gonna wait a week for Betty to actually
- 7:02Speaker 6: go with me to see it, and she barely cares.
- 7:05Speaker 6: But as she was leaving, I was like, do you
- 7:06Speaker 6: care if I see Spider Man without you? And she
- 7:08Speaker 6: said I kinda, And so now I have to wait
- 7:10Speaker 6: extra week. I know, how dare she like me? It's terrible,
- 7:15Speaker 6: But anyway, all right, I will move on. We'll actually
- 7:17Speaker 6: talk about things that matter, not me and what's going
- 7:20Speaker 6: on with me. But thank you, Phil, But this is
- 7:24Speaker 6: this is important. Lindsay Graham's funeral or memorial or whatever
- 7:28Speaker 6: you want to call it, happened in DC today. A
- 7:31Speaker 6: lot of people spoke, the President spoke, the Vice President spoke.
- 7:35Speaker 6: There were a couple of moments that have gone viral
- 7:37Speaker 6: when President Trump spoke about Lindsey Graham passing away. And
- 7:41Speaker 6: I'm going to play some of them because I do
- 7:43Speaker 6: think they're fascinating. As far as one of the things
- 7:46Speaker 6: that President Trump said about Lindsay Actually, and I think
- 7:49Speaker 6: I'm gonna skip one, but there's a third clip too.
- 7:52Speaker 6: Maybe we'll pull that one too. But here, let's start
- 7:54Speaker 6: with this one. The President eulogizing the late Senator Lindsey Graham.
- 7:59Speaker 6: Oh wait, hold on, Actually I got to hit a
- 8:01Speaker 6: button so that you can actually hear this, because I
- 8:03Speaker 6: play it on my computer so that I can stream
- 8:06Speaker 6: it so that we don't have Jake Tapper saying terrible
- 8:09Speaker 6: words anymore.
- 8:10Speaker 8: And here we go.
- 8:11Speaker 10: Yet, well, he was always quick to laugh, and no
- 8:14Speaker 10: one ever doubted the gravity of his mission. Above all,
- 8:17Speaker 10: Lindsey Graham believed in a strong America, wanted a strong America.
- 8:23Speaker 10: He had unwavering faith in the righteousness of American power
- 8:28Speaker 10: and prayer.
- 8:30Speaker 2: He was extremely hawkish.
- 8:32Speaker 10: I will tell you he never saw a war that
- 8:33Speaker 10: he didn't like.
- 8:35Speaker 6: Okay, so there is President Trump saying some things that
- 8:39Speaker 6: he may have disagreed with Lindsey Graham on during the eulogy.
- 8:42Speaker 8: He went even further here.
- 8:44Speaker 10: As you remember, Lindsey and I did not exactly get
- 8:48Speaker 10: off to the best of starts running against each other.
- 8:53Speaker 10: Back in twenty sixteen, Lindsay said something rather nasty on
- 8:57Speaker 10: his flight to becoming the ex president of the United States.
- 9:03Speaker 10: So naturally I did.
- 9:04Speaker 2: Something that I shouldn't have done.
- 9:06Speaker 10: I shared his personal cell phone number with the millions
- 9:10Speaker 10: of people that happened to be watching that particular day
- 9:12Speaker 10: as I made a speech, at very important speech.
- 9:15Speaker 2: It's crazy.
- 9:15Speaker 10: I remember the number two O two two two eight
- 9:19Speaker 10: two nine two if anybody wants to give it a shot.
- 9:23Speaker 10: His phone exploded, He said, I had that number for
- 9:26Speaker 10: twenty years. I was totally I don't know what he
- 9:28Speaker 10: did with it, but it exploded. That was the beginning
- 9:32Speaker 10: of a friendship in a way. But it was Lindsay
- 9:35Speaker 10: who had the last laugh, because while I blew up
- 9:38Speaker 10: his phone. Oh, for one day, we became great friends,
- 9:43Speaker 10: and Lindsay did not stop calling me for the next
- 9:46Speaker 10: ten years.
- 9:46Speaker 6: It was not He's I think that's hilarious that the
- 9:49Speaker 6: President actually tells some of these stories about Lindsey Garam
- 9:53Speaker 6: and about the differences between them, and goes the road
- 9:56Speaker 6: he does by saying that inevitably they became a great friend.
- 9:59Speaker 6: It's it's sort of amazing, and it's so starkly different
- 10:04Speaker 6: than what everybody else said today. Now, granted, President Trump
- 10:07Speaker 6: said a lot of really nice things about Lindsey Graham.
- 10:10Speaker 6: He said no laws were passed for the past amount
- 10:14Speaker 6: of years, that a lot was just simply not done
- 10:17Speaker 6: in the world of politics without Lindsay having a role
- 10:21Speaker 6: in it or some version of connection to it. So
- 10:24Speaker 6: there were a lot of really nice things said, But
- 10:26Speaker 6: there were some moments where Trump was just himself. He
- 10:29Speaker 6: just acted and I'm sure that if you know someone
- 10:32Speaker 6: well enough the way that they seem to be friendly
- 10:35Speaker 6: for several years now, maybe you think that he would
- 10:37Speaker 6: enjoy those jokes, and I imagine he would. The Vice President,
- 10:41Speaker 6: Jady Vance, took an opportunity to share how many people
- 10:45Speaker 6: within Lindsey Graham's staff seem to have truly cared about
- 10:49Speaker 6: him and miss him, which does pale in comparison to
- 10:52Speaker 6: all the politicians out there who you hear crazy stories
- 10:56Speaker 6: about the way they horribly treat their staff like. This
- 10:58Speaker 6: is also very different, and this seems to be a
- 11:02Speaker 6: very good thing to point out here.
- 11:03Speaker 5: We got so many of you argued with Lindsay, laughed
- 11:05Speaker 5: with Lindsay, relied on Lindsey. And I also, of course
- 11:09Speaker 5: want to give condolences to a group of people you
- 11:12Speaker 5: sometimes don't hear as often mentioned in the same breath,
- 11:15Speaker 5: But I know who loved them, which is his staff.
- 11:17Speaker 5: I know all of you worked for him for a
- 11:18Speaker 5: long time. Many of you worked for him for longer
- 11:21Speaker 5: then you know. I've been in public service, certainly longer
- 11:25Speaker 5: some of you even then. I've been graduated from high school.
- 11:27Speaker 5: Don't mean to age any of you. But what a
- 11:30Speaker 5: testament to a man that he has so much loyal
- 11:34Speaker 5: and devoted staff.
- 11:35Speaker 6: I think uniquely so in the world we live in
- 11:38Speaker 6: today and the amount of people you find out about celebrities,
- 11:40Speaker 6: whoever they might be, who just treat the people around
- 11:43Speaker 6: them like absolute trash, just treat them horribly, just crap
- 11:46Speaker 6: on them and attack them. And I think it was
- 11:49Speaker 6: Ellen who also like demanded no one look at her,
- 11:52Speaker 6: which was crazy, Like there's a lot of people like
- 11:54Speaker 6: that now who do all this kind of crazy backstabbing
- 11:58Speaker 6: and terrible stuff. And for Lindsey Graham's staff to love
- 12:01Speaker 6: him really speaks to who the person was and the
- 12:04Speaker 6: way that he garnered this support for quite some time.
- 12:07Speaker 6: But those were some of the things said. As I said,
- 12:10Speaker 6: the President was more a few siminous praise of Lindsey
- 12:13Speaker 6: Graham early on in what he said. But I find
- 12:16Speaker 6: that humorous that President Trump didn't. Here's what I like. Actually,
- 12:21Speaker 6: let me say it this way, because I've said this
- 12:23Speaker 6: before and I believe it. People who celebrate someone's death
- 12:26Speaker 6: are disgusting no matter what they do it for, if
- 12:29Speaker 6: it's because they disagreed with someone politically or in the
- 12:32Speaker 6: case of Charlie Kirk.
- 12:33Speaker 8: They thought he.
- 12:34Speaker 6: Deserved to be killed, which was horrible and disgusting to hear.
- 12:38Speaker 6: There's a difference between that, which I think is wrong,
- 12:41Speaker 6: and what President Trump did today, which was not forget
- 12:44Speaker 6: the past but still remember the person. I think there's
- 12:48Speaker 6: a value to a version of discussion there, But by
- 12:51Speaker 6: and large, I said that once someone passes away, the
- 12:55Speaker 6: argument with them is over, whatever the argument was, whatever
- 12:57Speaker 6: the disagreement was.
- 12:59Speaker 8: They're no longer around to fight back.
- 13:01Speaker 6: They're a much easier opponent in the sense that they
- 13:05Speaker 6: can't respond to the things you're saying. So I fight them,
- 13:08Speaker 6: and I don't think President Trump was doing that.
- 13:09Speaker 8: But why do that?
- 13:11Speaker 6: Is usually my question to anybody that wants to remember
- 13:14Speaker 6: someone who passed away negatively, because there's going to be
- 13:17Speaker 6: someone else taking that spot, taking that place and making decisions,
- 13:21Speaker 6: and I see it more valuable to potentially argue with
- 13:23Speaker 6: them if you wind up disagreeing with them. And in
- 13:25Speaker 6: this case, it's Lindsay's sister that's going to wind up
- 13:28Speaker 6: being I think not only the short term replacement to Lindsay,
- 13:33Speaker 6: which has already happened, but I think she'll wind up
- 13:36Speaker 6: being the long term replacement to Lindsey Graham as well.
- 13:39Speaker 6: And I think that that's hopefully going to be pretty
- 13:41Speaker 6: cool to watch. Regardless of how different their decisions are
- 13:46Speaker 6: or how similar they are on a lot of issues,
- 13:48Speaker 6: It'll just be amazing to witness something as unique and
- 13:53Speaker 6: as significant as that. I have some James Tallerico audio
- 13:58Speaker 6: that I do want to play. Think that tall Rico
- 14:01Speaker 6: is nuts. I'm going to go to the phones first, though,
- 14:02Speaker 6: because I see, we just got a phone call from
- 14:05Speaker 6: barton Spring Bart, what did you want to say?
- 14:08Speaker 3: That?
- 14:08Speaker 11: Was what I was going to ask you. Do you
- 14:10Speaker 11: have tell Rico's interview where he said that about this
- 14:13Speaker 11: twelfth century Islamic poet.
- 14:16Speaker 6: All right, this is yet again a moment where Bart
- 14:19Speaker 6: cues up some audio for us. So I'm just gonna
- 14:21Speaker 6: play at Bart, you hang on a sec and then
- 14:23Speaker 6: we'll get back to you.
- 14:24Speaker 4: I know personally that I've learned as much about my
- 14:28Speaker 4: faith from Salmon's tradition, from the Islamic mystics, from poets
- 14:35Speaker 4: like Roomy, as much as I have from Christian authors
- 14:39Speaker 4: and Christian writers.
- 14:40Speaker 6: Okay, that's nuts, Bart, How do you take that statement
- 14:44Speaker 6: that went.
- 14:45Speaker 8: Very viral today?
- 14:47Speaker 11: Yeah, that's nuts. Islamic mystics in the twelfth century, as
- 14:51Speaker 11: we learned as Christianity from.
- 14:53Speaker 6: Apparently he didn't decide to learn it from I don't know,
- 14:56Speaker 6: like Christians or the Bible. He wanted to learn it
- 14:58Speaker 6: from some other places, which seems bad. I can't believe
- 15:02Speaker 6: he's even remotely close to Paxton in any sort of
- 15:05Speaker 6: pulling with the crazy stuff that he says.
- 15:08Speaker 11: All I think is if they've decided this is the
- 15:11Speaker 11: guy they wanted and they didn't vet him, kind of
- 15:13Speaker 11: like the guy up in Maine. You're finding out all
- 15:16Speaker 11: this stuff afterwards say oh man, what.
- 15:17Speaker 2: Are we doing?
- 15:19Speaker 8: I hope so, Bart, I truly hope so. Is that
- 15:21Speaker 8: all you wanted to talk about?
- 15:23Speaker 11: Yeah, I don't think how many people knew some of
- 15:26Speaker 11: the writings and the things from Roomy. Yes, that guy
- 15:28Speaker 11: was a nut.
- 15:29Speaker 12: I like it.
- 15:29Speaker 11: Really, that's where you learned your Christian moorings from.
- 15:32Speaker 6: Yes, the poet Roomy is absolutely insane. Well, I'm gonna
- 15:35Speaker 6: let you go, Bart, just because there's a lot of
- 15:36Speaker 6: noise going on in the background.
- 15:37Speaker 8: I don't know if you're driving right now, and.
- 15:39Speaker 6: I appreciate you calling in while you're doing that. But
- 15:41Speaker 6: we heard some stuff, so I'm gonna play it again
- 15:44Speaker 6: the Taller Rico audio Roomy's insane. A bunch of these
- 15:48Speaker 6: references are just ridiculous to say this is where you
- 15:52Speaker 6: learned your Christian faith. It demonstrates that Taller Rico is
- 15:57Speaker 6: not Christian to me, he can't possibly be and believe
- 16:00Speaker 6: all this stuff. And I know he's a preacher. I
- 16:03Speaker 6: know he's said some crazy things when standing up in
- 16:06Speaker 6: front of a congregation, things that seem to make no
- 16:08Speaker 6: sense compared to what actually is in the Bible.
- 16:12Speaker 8: And we could go through some of the craziest stuff
- 16:15Speaker 8: he said. But this is our latest time.
- 16:17Speaker 4: I know personally that I've learned as much about my
- 16:21Speaker 4: faith from Salmon's tradition, from the islamiistics, from poets like Roomy,
- 16:30Speaker 4: as much as I have from Christian authors.
- 16:33Speaker 6: I wish the follow up question was, can you name
- 16:35Speaker 6: some of those Christian authors, because I'd like to know
- 16:37Speaker 6: who they are and how you feel that some of
- 16:39Speaker 6: those other names also helped to inform you on your
- 16:44Speaker 6: Christian beliefs.
- 16:45Speaker 8: I'll play this audio this from just the other day.
- 16:47Speaker 6: This went viral with tall Rico. I had it yesterday
- 16:50Speaker 6: meant to play it. He was talking about black voters.
- 16:54Speaker 6: Tall Rico multiple times says I cannot win without getting
- 16:57Speaker 6: more support from the black community. Of polling seems to
- 17:01Speaker 6: say that black support isn't really there for Talla Eico
- 17:04Speaker 6: the way it's supposed to be for a Democrat especially,
- 17:08Speaker 6: And I do love how somebody I think it was
- 17:11Speaker 6: a Michael Berry, but how somebody referenced that it must
- 17:15Speaker 6: have been a strategist that told him, Hey, go do
- 17:18Speaker 6: an interview and say black people a lot, and it'll
- 17:21Speaker 6: seem like you really care and hopefully we get more
- 17:24Speaker 6: votes from people that don't look like you. So he
- 17:26Speaker 6: did exactly that. He did an interview and he brought
- 17:29Speaker 6: up black people a whole lot. Again, whether he's actually
- 17:32Speaker 6: going to do anything to help people, I think is
- 17:34Speaker 6: the bigger concern here.
- 17:36Speaker 13: We go, well, there is no way to win Texas
- 17:38Speaker 13: without Black Texans.
- 17:40Speaker 4: If if we're going.
- 17:42Speaker 13: To do that effectively, we have to show up for
- 17:46Speaker 13: invest in and listen to black communities. That's what we've
- 17:50Speaker 13: been doing over the course of this campaign, you know,
- 17:53Speaker 13: me yelling at you. We have been convening black business leaders,
- 17:57Speaker 13: black faith leaders, black elected officials, all over the state,
- 18:02Speaker 13: in the big metro areas and in the smaller towns.
- 18:04Speaker 13: I've been visiting black owned businesses and black churches all
- 18:07Speaker 13: over Texas. I've been appearing on black media. I have
- 18:12Speaker 13: here in DFW and Houston and national black media, and
- 18:15Speaker 13: then we've been holding these town hall discussions, including in
- 18:18Speaker 13: Houston on Sunday and in DeSoto yesterday. We are pulling
- 18:23Speaker 13: better with black Texans than any Democrat. So ex soudern
- 18:27Speaker 13: Texas History.
- 18:29Speaker 6: Okay here, I'm going to jump in for a sec
- 18:31Speaker 6: A couple things first. What I find very interesting about
- 18:33Speaker 6: this audio, and I think I did play it on
- 18:36Speaker 6: Dana Show the other day, and this is a disingenuous
- 18:39Speaker 6: way to go about this argument, like it's unfair, but
- 18:42Speaker 6: I think that the first version was unfair. So I'm
- 18:45Speaker 6: just demonstrating how unfairness can be spread from one political
- 18:49Speaker 6: side of the aisle to the other, and not just
- 18:51Speaker 6: something that mainstream media does to Republicans. I vividly remember
- 18:56Speaker 6: when during a debate President Trump said black jobs. He
- 18:59Speaker 6: said that people are coming in from other countries and
- 19:02Speaker 6: they're taking quote black jobs. And there's data that demonstrates
- 19:07Speaker 6: that certain occupations that were disproportionately held by people that
- 19:11Speaker 6: are black were not getting those jobs anymore, and people
- 19:14Speaker 6: who were here illegally were like, there's actual data that
- 19:17Speaker 6: backs up the thing that Trump had said at that moment,
- 19:20Speaker 6: And actually I think there were like black community leaders
- 19:24Speaker 6: who had complained about a similar problem. But after Trump
- 19:27Speaker 6: said it, the biggest joke throughout a lot of society
- 19:30Speaker 6: was what the hell is a black job? I remember
- 19:33Speaker 6: like comedians making jokes like that, like how dairy say
- 19:36Speaker 6: something is a job for somebody based on what they
- 19:39Speaker 6: look like. And that's not what he was saying. That's
- 19:43Speaker 6: not what he meant or how I took it. What
- 19:45Speaker 6: he was saying was there's data that shows he didn't
- 19:47Speaker 6: say it this way. He said it the way Trump
- 19:49Speaker 6: says stuff that there are certain jobs that the black
- 19:51Speaker 6: community holds several of and they're losing those jobs to
- 19:55Speaker 6: people who are here without the right to be here.
- 19:58Speaker 6: So if I were to attack ten the way that
- 20:01Speaker 6: mainstream media attacked Trump, I would dissect every time he
- 20:05Speaker 6: said the word black and wonder why he's communicating with
- 20:09Speaker 6: people in just certain places in certain ways that he says,
- 20:13Speaker 6: like certain black business leaders or black faith leaders or
- 20:17Speaker 6: this or that.
- 20:18Speaker 8: Why can't you just talk to faith leaders?
- 20:20Speaker 6: Why can't you just talk to business le He's like,
- 20:22Speaker 6: why are you doing all this and begging for support
- 20:25Speaker 6: from a group of people that pulling says don't actually
- 20:28Speaker 6: really support you right now. They don't seem to like you.
- 20:31Speaker 6: And part of the reason I think why is Jasmine
- 20:33Speaker 6: Crockett doesn't really seem to like tall Rico at all,
- 20:36Speaker 6: and she had far more support with people that you know,
- 20:40Speaker 6: tall Rico's not trying to get so I just thought
- 20:42Speaker 6: that was really interesting that he's told that he's not
- 20:45Speaker 6: doing well and so he goes out and he's as
- 20:47Speaker 6: transparent as possible because I don't even care what community you.
- 20:50Speaker 8: Are a black people, white people, Asian people. I don't care.
- 20:54Speaker 6: When you're being pandered to and you realize it, it
- 20:58Speaker 6: doesn't make you like someone, it makes you like them
- 21:01Speaker 6: far less. So I think people can see through that,
- 21:04Speaker 6: see that it's pandering, and I don't think it's gonna
- 21:07Speaker 6: help him at all.
- 21:08Speaker 8: Let me play this audio.
- 21:11Speaker 6: Doctor Anthony Fauci is a huge topic of conversation, absolutely
- 21:14Speaker 6: a bunch of people talking about him today, my favorite
- 21:17Speaker 6: and I played some of it yesterday too. My favorite
- 21:20Speaker 6: of the discussions about Fauci, though, was this CNBC interview.
- 21:25Speaker 6: You had the former FDA Commissioner, Scott Gottliban, and Joe
- 21:30Speaker 6: Kiernan just ripped him apart in some of the stuff
- 21:34Speaker 6: he was saying about Fauci. And there's a moment where
- 21:36Speaker 6: it seems that Gottlieb was like, all right, I can't
- 21:39Speaker 6: say nothing. I have to agree with something here because
- 21:42Speaker 6: it's it's ridiculous. The diaries of doctor Anthony Fauci show
- 21:46Speaker 6: that he was self obsessed, cared very much about his fame,
- 21:50Speaker 6: about you know, lying about certain things that he definitely
- 21:53Speaker 6: did not believe to be true. He believed exactly the
- 21:56Speaker 6: opposite in fact, to be true. Like the diaries are
- 21:59Speaker 6: incredibly damaged. He will testify tomorrow in front of Congress,
- 22:03Speaker 6: and I can't wait for the Rand Paul questions that
- 22:06Speaker 6: get lobbed at doctor Anthony Fauci. But here this is
- 22:09Speaker 6: a back and forth on CNBC, one of a bunch
- 22:12Speaker 6: of places that did talk about Fauci. Most mainstream media
- 22:16Speaker 6: completely ignored this topic, which is unsurprising but horrible. I
- 22:21Speaker 6: think CBS News the only mainstream news outlet that even
- 22:24Speaker 6: talked about it a little bit, and that's probably because
- 22:27Speaker 6: of Barry Wise.
- 22:28Speaker 3: But here we go, having a reputation totally in the
- 22:32Speaker 3: toilet at eighty five years. That does that hold him
- 22:35Speaker 3: to account for what he was responsible for.
- 22:38Speaker 14: The Tony Fauchi I saw I nose emails is not
- 22:40Speaker 14: that Tony Fauci I knew over the years. I mean,
- 22:43Speaker 14: he was a guy who is sober, who is careful
- 22:45Speaker 14: about his public appearances, and his statements was always very always,
- 22:49Speaker 14: very thoughtful.
- 22:50Speaker 3: Did you figure out the obsession with mainstream media in
- 22:53Speaker 3: defending him? And you know Jake Tapper having you know,
- 22:57Speaker 3: multiple dinners and best friends and what did that come from?
- 23:00Speaker 3: And I know people around here that it would call
- 23:04Speaker 3: Tony Fauci a hero.
- 23:05Speaker 14: Yeah, I can't dissect. You don't know why people perceive.
- 23:08Speaker 2: I think they can.
- 23:11Speaker 3: Around shut down everything to.
- 23:14Speaker 14: Time Joe as you as you know very well. And
- 23:16Speaker 14: I think people were looking for a voice that they
- 23:18Speaker 14: can cling to.
- 23:19Speaker 2: Maybe they I am science.
- 23:21Speaker 3: That's why people don't like me.
- 23:23Speaker 8: I mean that was crazy.
- 23:25Speaker 3: You're very guarded and nice.
- 23:28Speaker 14: I was disappointed by the emails, I have to admit,
- 23:31Speaker 14: But we'll see what happened on Wednesday.
- 23:33Speaker 6: That was absolutely breathing fire at the end there when
- 23:35Speaker 6: he said he was disappointed by the emails. At the
- 23:37Speaker 6: very least, that's what you should have said. A lot
- 23:40Speaker 6: of people are recycling a Tom Elliott supercut. Tom Elliott's
- 23:44Speaker 6: incredible at Grabyan, mostly for these supercuts he does that
- 23:47Speaker 6: go very viral.
- 23:48Speaker 8: He first put it out in January.
- 23:50Speaker 6: He reput it out a couple of days ago, just
- 23:53Speaker 6: reminding us of how brainwashed mainstream media seemed to be
- 23:58Speaker 6: in praising doctor Anthony Fauci and how much he seemed
- 24:01Speaker 6: to love it based on his diaries. This is crazy
- 24:04Speaker 6: and gross, and I'm going to play it again even
- 24:07Speaker 6: though I hate it, and I played it multiple times
- 24:09Speaker 6: on Dana's show, because the most important lesson to learn here,
- 24:14Speaker 6: the most important takeaway is how full of you know
- 24:17Speaker 6: what all of these people are with how they behave,
- 24:20Speaker 6: and how much he was enjoying the spotlight and using
- 24:24Speaker 6: the spotlight to lie to the American people in ways
- 24:28Speaker 6: that he himself knew or lies based on what he
- 24:31Speaker 6: was actually saying about Wuhan lab leaks and other things.
- 24:34Speaker 6: As far as the COVID pandemic goes, it is surreal
- 24:38Speaker 6: to revisit this with that additional information a courtesy of
- 24:42Speaker 6: Rand Paul and these diaries, and as I said before,
- 24:46Speaker 6: cannot wait. Tomorrow's show will probably be chalk full of
- 24:49Speaker 6: any sort of interactions with Fauci and politicians who want
- 24:52Speaker 6: to know why he is such a piece of crap.
- 24:54Speaker 6: But here we go the single most respected voice on
- 24:57Speaker 6: the pandemic.
- 24:58Speaker 13: It's doctor Anthony Fauchier.
- 24:59Speaker 9: The man who I'm known as America's doc took.
- 25:01Speaker 2: The nation's topic conscious disease.
- 25:03Speaker 13: Expert, Anthony Fauci.
- 25:04Speaker 6: You are a saint too many.
- 25:05Speaker 13: As a superhero.
- 25:07Speaker 5: Doctor Anthony Fauci, American hero and New York Yankee fan.
- 25:12Speaker 1: I've done so much for this country in terms of
- 25:14Speaker 1: this crisis, So I really appreciate your insight.
- 25:17Speaker 3: Who better to give us answers that we can trust
- 25:20Speaker 3: than doctor Anthony Fauci. Perfect person to answer our questions today,
- 25:23Speaker 3: joining to ask now, Doctor Anthony Fauci.
- 25:25Speaker 13: Doctor Anthony Fauci, appreciate your candor.
- 25:27Speaker 14: Doctor Fauci, appreciate the candor.
- 25:29Speaker 4: We appreciate your service to this country. We appreciate your service.
- 25:33Speaker 6: Thank you, Thank you for you, sir, Yes, I can't
- 25:36Speaker 6: do it anymore. There's like another minute and thirty seconds
- 25:39Speaker 6: of that. If you want to find it, go to
- 25:41Speaker 6: Tom Elliott's page on social media and watch the whole thing.
- 25:44Speaker 6: It's disgusting, and it's even more disgusting now knowing that
- 25:48Speaker 6: the one excuse that a lot of people in mainstream
- 25:50Speaker 6: media would have used that Fauci was just telling you
- 25:53Speaker 6: the information he believed to be true at the time,
- 25:56Speaker 6: is absolutely not true.
- 25:57Speaker 8: It's absolutely false.
- 25:58Speaker 6: His own diaries prove that he didn't believe the stuff
- 26:02Speaker 6: he was saying, that he was lying to people, and
- 26:04Speaker 6: he was doing it to protect the things that he
- 26:06Speaker 6: was involved in funding. The way in which we were
- 26:09Speaker 6: sending money to the Wuhan coronavirus lab that inevitably released
- 26:14Speaker 6: coronavirus on the world. They were hiding that stuff and
- 26:18Speaker 6: they knew what they were doing, and I just I
- 26:21Speaker 6: can't I can't begin to tell you how angry it
- 26:25Speaker 6: actually makes so many of us. And I laugh when
- 26:27Speaker 6: I get angry on shows like this because I don't
- 26:29Speaker 6: want to scream anymore into the microphone than I might
- 26:32Speaker 6: already do. I don't think that's helpful, but it's it's
- 26:35Speaker 6: disgusting to be honest, all right, we'll take a break.
- 26:38Speaker 6: After the break, I do want to play some audio
- 26:40Speaker 6: of Senate Majority Leader John Thune, who's very upset, and
- 26:44Speaker 6: then actually John Cornyn, who apparently is also upset about
- 26:48Speaker 6: the potential for the Save America Act to actually be
- 26:51Speaker 6: a thing that somebody passes. I have some audio Joe
- 26:53Speaker 6: Rogan talking about Texas that I thought was interesting. A
- 26:57Speaker 6: lot coming up. This is the Craig Collins show KSV
- 27:00Speaker 6: seven hundred.
- 27:01Speaker 8: The voice attack that.
- 27:03Speaker 11: Chase for the squirrel is on, and the squirrel is
- 27:06Speaker 11: in the corner, and the squirrel.
- 27:07Speaker 9: Is still eluding an entire corn of grounds crew members
- 27:10Speaker 9: and the squirrel's free once again.
- 27:12Speaker 2: Hem don no, I won't be hemed in.
- 27:15Speaker 7: I have freedom on my mind.
- 27:17Speaker 13: He does d go between the legs and eventually he
- 27:20Speaker 13: gets away again.
- 27:22Speaker 2: Head ops through the towel, head ops through another towel.
- 27:26Speaker 6: Okay, that is a call at the Detroit Tigers game
- 27:29Speaker 6: from last night where a squirrel got loose onto the
- 27:32Speaker 6: field and was avoiding like fifteen people that were all
- 27:35Speaker 6: trying to catch the squirrel. I love this call. I
- 27:38Speaker 6: think this is a great sports call. Producer, Phil, do
- 27:41Speaker 6: you think that was a good job of calling the
- 27:42Speaker 6: squirrel and his evasiveness.
- 27:44Speaker 2: Yeah, I think it was a perfect job, perfect thom.
- 27:46Speaker 6: And to be honest, it's got to be uniquely disheartening
- 27:48Speaker 6: for the Tigers because they're not good this year. One
- 27:50Speaker 6: of their most talented players is a squirrel that's in
- 27:52Speaker 6: the stands. I want to compare it to something else, though.
- 27:56Speaker 6: Another thing went very viral. It's a football and by
- 27:59Speaker 6: that I mean soccer thing. I know Phil is a
- 28:01Speaker 6: soccer fan. This is an Irish call, so it's very
- 28:05Speaker 6: heavy in its accent of two broadcasters that are doing
- 28:09Speaker 6: the All Ireland Senior Football Championship, which is a soccer match,
- 28:14Speaker 6: and it's the first time that Ireland has won this
- 28:16Speaker 6: thing in seventy five years. I guess the team that
- 28:20Speaker 6: won won it, and so the broadcasters are going nuts.
- 28:24Speaker 8: I ask you.
- 28:24Speaker 6: Option A is Detroit Tigers doing a call about a
- 28:28Speaker 6: squirrel in the field?
- 28:29Speaker 8: Option B is this.
- 28:30Speaker 2: Get it out of there?
- 28:31Speaker 1: Get it out of therese they have.
- 28:35Speaker 2: It's Totsy, take its to do.
- 28:38Speaker 6: We're twenty five years He's to.
- 28:44Speaker 2: Tommy Toddy right.
- 28:46Speaker 10: O my.
- 28:48Speaker 8: Second okay?
- 28:57Speaker 9: So what okay?
- 29:00Speaker 6: So one thing those broadcasters seem to not understand is
- 29:02Speaker 6: that microphones can only handle so much excitement. If you
- 29:05Speaker 6: ramp up too hard, they're not coming with you.
- 29:08Speaker 8: So a lot of really crappy audio there, but a
- 29:11Speaker 8: lot of really genuine excitement that you can hear through
- 29:14Speaker 8: the terrible sound of the audio. Which is better? Phil,
- 29:17Speaker 8: is it the squirrel call or the Irish call?
- 29:19Speaker 9: I got?
- 29:20Speaker 6: Yeah, Okay, fine, it has to be. It's it's amazing.
- 29:24Speaker 6: I am a homer to certain things. I'm a big
- 29:26Speaker 6: Yankee fan. I've been my whole life, even if New
- 29:29Speaker 6: York is a place sort of sucks these days on
- 29:32Speaker 6: New York the baseball team that I've loved, I've always loved.
- 29:36Speaker 6: But I don't think I would ever, even if I
- 29:38Speaker 6: got a chance to broadcast for the Yankees, would homer
- 29:41Speaker 6: this hard because this is this is a hard amount
- 29:44Speaker 6: of homering. But it's it's nice to hear because it's
- 29:46Speaker 6: genuine and it's I'm gonna play it one more time,
- 29:49Speaker 6: Phil says. And I imagine if people called in, they'd
- 29:52Speaker 6: say this was the winn or two of the two calls,
- 29:54Speaker 6: because it's it's infectious how excited they are. Even if
- 29:57Speaker 6: you can understand some of the stuff they're saying, get
- 30:00Speaker 6: it out of here is how this whole thing starts,
- 30:02Speaker 6: as far as what they're yelling to try to get
- 30:03Speaker 6: the ball off of their side so that the clock
- 30:07Speaker 6: will run out. Nobody even gets another shot on goals.
- 30:09Speaker 8: Get it out of there, get it out there.
- 30:12Speaker 3: They have.
- 30:15Speaker 7: Second to five years.
- 30:18Speaker 10: The title gun, he tell me.
- 30:19Speaker 6: Tell me run?
- 30:22Speaker 2: Oh my god, Tommy Todd, right, oh my god. Seconds
- 30:31Speaker 2: is over? All right?
- 30:36Speaker 6: They definitely lost it. The famine is over is one
- 30:38Speaker 6: of my favorite things to hear. I think I will
- 30:40Speaker 6: use that if I'm ever calling something where someone wins
- 30:44Speaker 6: that hasn't won in a very long time. The famine
- 30:46Speaker 6: is over is a good way to say it's not
- 30:48Speaker 6: quite Do you believe in miracles? Yes, but it's close,
- 30:51Speaker 6: at least for probably Ireland. And whoever was a fan
- 30:54Speaker 6: of that match that I've never heard of that team
- 30:57Speaker 6: or anything about it before. I assume you've never heard
- 30:59Speaker 6: of this Irish all you know whatever thing? No, you're
- 31:03Speaker 6: shaking your head, no, okay, no, yeah, but it's an
- 31:05Speaker 6: amazing call.
- 31:06Speaker 2: I feel as though that that excitement is on a
- 31:09Speaker 2: whole different levels, almost compared to that last one you
- 31:11Speaker 2: did with the soccer play.
- 31:13Speaker 6: I said, yeah, yeah, Andre's cantor. Andre's cantor is incredible.
- 31:17Speaker 6: You're right, it's even another level beyond that. Andre's cantor
- 31:21Speaker 6: is still like I watched. You know, it's funny about
- 31:23Speaker 6: you bringing that up real quick before hit plan anything else.
- 31:26Speaker 6: I watched more of the World Cup in Spanish than
- 31:28Speaker 6: in English because my wife is from Mexico and understood
- 31:31Speaker 6: it all. And Andre's cantour is just a better broadcaster.
- 31:35Speaker 6: And I saw a bunch of people joking on social
- 31:37Speaker 6: media that they thought they were fluent in Spanish now
- 31:40Speaker 6: because they watched a bunch of World Cup in Spanish.
- 31:42Speaker 8: Nah, it didn't work. Yeah, you know, that's fine.
- 31:46Speaker 6: But I can yell goal, and I do that quite
- 31:49Speaker 6: often in the house now, like Andre's cantor, whenever I
- 31:52Speaker 6: think something.
- 31:54Speaker 8: I well know, I mean, like he breathes, dude, like
- 31:57Speaker 8: he he.
- 31:59Speaker 6: Well, he comes back, he does it, he rams it
- 32:01Speaker 6: up again. Be you're right, I probably can't do it
- 32:03Speaker 6: Andre's cantor style. My wife tells me that as well.
- 32:06Speaker 6: All right, I do want to play this.
- 32:07Speaker 8: I got a couple other pieces of audio in the
- 32:08Speaker 8: world of politics that I want to play.
- 32:10Speaker 6: One is just a quick thing. I'm going to skip
- 32:13Speaker 6: Thoon because you've heard it before. You've heard Thoon say
- 32:17Speaker 6: how he doesn't want to even try to vote in
- 32:21Speaker 6: the Save Act. He doesn't want to try to remove
- 32:23Speaker 6: the filibuster because he claims there's no votes for this stuff,
- 32:26Speaker 6: even though the president wants some of this stuff to
- 32:28Speaker 6: be voted on. So at least it's on the record
- 32:30Speaker 6: who the terror people are that are holding it up
- 32:33Speaker 6: more with the removing the filibuster than anything else. But
- 32:36Speaker 6: word is and I think CNN covered this. John Cornyn,
- 32:40Speaker 6: one of our representatives for just a short time more,
- 32:43Speaker 6: is furious that Republicans want to cancel in August recess
- 32:47Speaker 6: because President Trump wants them to vote and try to
- 32:50Speaker 6: pass the Save Act.
- 32:52Speaker 12: I don't understand the rationale. I think it's basically, we're
- 32:56Speaker 12: over promising and we're not going to be able to
- 32:58Speaker 12: deliver on that promise because we don't have the votes
- 33:01Speaker 12: to pass it. How long, we're not going to change
- 33:06Speaker 12: the filibusters. So but somehow the President's convinced that if
- 33:11Speaker 12: he presses hard enough, that we will will come around.
- 33:16Speaker 12: And but I just don't think that's likely to happen
- 33:18Speaker 12: if he's.
- 33:18Speaker 4: Putting food in an impossible position here.
- 33:21Speaker 8: And then he gets in the car that he's no
- 33:23Speaker 8: more comments. I'm done.
- 33:24Speaker 6: I don't want to talk to you anymore. Here's the
- 33:26Speaker 6: thing that I find amazing about this. We should always
- 33:29Speaker 6: take away their breaks when when politicians don't do the
- 33:32Speaker 6: job they're supposed to do. They shouldn't be allowed to
- 33:35Speaker 6: go on vacation. They shouldn't recess, they should constantly be working. If, say,
- 33:40Speaker 6: we ever have a government shut down where other people
- 33:42Speaker 6: aren't getting their paychecks, the politicians shouldn't be getting paychecks
- 33:45Speaker 6: and they shouldn't be allowed to leave.
- 33:47Speaker 8: They should work through it.
- 33:48Speaker 6: They should be the most punished of the people in
- 33:51Speaker 6: our society when they fail to deliver on just simply
- 33:55Speaker 6: doing their freaking job. And yet so often that seems
- 33:58Speaker 6: to be so different than what they seem to think.
- 34:02Speaker 8: I like that alone.
- 34:04Speaker 6: I like hearing Cornyan be frustrated that Trump is telling
- 34:08Speaker 6: them to stay and not leave, because in Corn's mind,
- 34:11Speaker 6: how dare he? But in our minds, how dare you
- 34:13Speaker 6: try to go on a recess when you're not doing
- 34:16Speaker 6: your job?
- 34:17Speaker 1: Just do it?
- 34:17Speaker 8: Try to vote?
- 34:18Speaker 6: See what the roadblocks are put it all out there
- 34:21Speaker 6: in public and let us react to it as the
- 34:23Speaker 6: American people should, mostly because so many of us agree
- 34:28Speaker 6: that voter idea is important to vote in the elections.
- 34:31Speaker 6: It's not a radical position at all. It's just a
- 34:34Speaker 6: position that Democrats hate and don't want to talk about
- 34:38Speaker 6: and refuse to even go on the record rejecting if
- 34:41Speaker 6: they can, And for some reason, some of our Republican
- 34:44Speaker 6: rhinos are letting them do it. All right, This is
- 34:47Speaker 6: the last piece of audio I want to play before
- 34:49Speaker 6: we take another break and come back and try to
- 34:51Speaker 6: have fun before we get out of here. This is
- 34:54Speaker 6: Joe Rogan, who at times sounds very much like a liberal,
- 34:58Speaker 6: and he's very happy living in Austin, one of the
- 35:01Speaker 6: definitely deepest blue parts of our state. But there's a
- 35:04Speaker 6: value to what they're talking about in I think the
- 35:08Speaker 6: surrounding pieces of this discussion about how changing Texas to
- 35:12Speaker 6: be a blue state would be horrible and terrible and
- 35:15Speaker 6: in Joe Rogan's own words, ruin it. The people who
- 35:19Speaker 6: are cheering for Tall Rico and hoping he wins and
- 35:22Speaker 6: hoping there's mass changes in how people in this state
- 35:26Speaker 6: believe and act about certain things. They're absolutely not understanding
- 35:30Speaker 6: the value of what Texas actually is. I've only lived
- 35:33Speaker 6: here for a little over a year, and I know
- 35:35Speaker 6: how important it is for Texas to be the free
- 35:37Speaker 6: state that it is, baby, and you can't have liberals
- 35:40Speaker 6: overrun it and keep it as awesome as it currently is.
- 35:42Speaker 9: A lot of people, especially coastal elites, it's like to say,
- 35:46Speaker 9: like people coastal snobs. They have this idea of it
- 35:50Speaker 9: being filled with rednecks and ignorant people and foolish people
- 35:54Speaker 9: and not that away at all, not especially Austin. Austin
- 35:58Speaker 9: is like one of the most like liberal, easygoing progressive cities.
- 36:04Speaker 9: But like even the progressives here they're like more reasonable.
- 36:07Speaker 13: It's like down to earth.
- 36:08Speaker 8: Yeah, it's extremism.
- 36:10Speaker 9: Well, they they're definitely more crazy than they were twenty
- 36:13Speaker 9: years you want to first started coming with that, but wait,
- 36:16Speaker 9: less crazy than like liberals in La Yeah, or liberals
- 36:19Speaker 9: and or liberals in New York just where they're where
- 36:22Speaker 9: it's just extreme right like protests.
- 36:24Speaker 2: All these Yeah.
- 36:25Speaker 9: Well it's like this, there's a saying about Austin. Keep
- 36:29Speaker 9: Austin weird and surrounded.
- 36:31Speaker 8: And surround it.
- 36:32Speaker 9: What is the surround it surrounded by red people, like
- 36:35Speaker 9: it's all red states around you, and this is pocket
- 36:38Speaker 9: of blue that's in the center of this red state.
- 36:41Speaker 9: I think that's good for everybody.
- 36:44Speaker 2: I think that's good.
- 36:46Speaker 9: It's a balance. And they're like the liberals that want
- 36:49Speaker 9: to turn Texas blue, like, don't don't ruin it. You're
- 36:52Speaker 9: going to ruin it to ruin it for you too.
- 36:54Speaker 9: You don't get it, like the balance is important. It's like,
- 36:58Speaker 9: you can't kill all the predators because then the deer
- 37:01Speaker 9: get overrun and you're hitting them with cars.
- 37:03Speaker 2: Yep.
- 37:04Speaker 9: And you can't kill all the deer because then there's
- 37:07Speaker 9: no food. And I mean, that's what they did when
- 37:09Speaker 9: they were marketing.
- 37:10Speaker 6: I even thought that his guests got that wrong. You
- 37:11Speaker 6: can't kill all the deer and the guest goes because
- 37:14Speaker 6: then there's no predators. Now they're still predators, they just
- 37:16Speaker 6: don't have anything to eat, so the predators start eating
- 37:19Speaker 6: you because there's no longer deer for them to have instead,
- 37:22Speaker 6: which is obviously worse for everybody involved. I love part
- 37:27Speaker 6: of this take, and I agree with part of this take.
- 37:30Speaker 6: Certainly in the amount of time I've been here, Texas
- 37:33Speaker 6: is such an important state in the United States of America,
- 37:36Speaker 6: Florida probably comes close to and how important it is
- 37:39Speaker 6: that we are adamantly the way that we are and
- 37:42Speaker 6: adamantly supportive of the side that we're supportive of, and
- 37:45Speaker 6: getting a scary version of belief system from California imported
- 37:50Speaker 6: into this state would be horrible.
- 37:52Speaker 8: It would be atrocious.
- 37:54Speaker 6: I wish Austin were less blue, and I would like
- 37:57Speaker 6: to have it be a little more conservative and a
- 37:59Speaker 6: less weird personally. But I do understand the basic sentiment
- 38:03Speaker 6: of I want my political sides to be successful and
- 38:07Speaker 6: disagree with each other, because if they agree too much,
- 38:10Speaker 6: we get too much radical, crazy, terrible things happening. I
- 38:14Speaker 6: think it's more true than Democrats right now, especially how
- 38:18Speaker 6: the far left seems to be taking over the party,
- 38:21Speaker 6: but having a valuable back and forth, not again, the
- 38:24Speaker 6: version I think we actually do have in society currently.
- 38:27Speaker 6: The founding fathers wanted that they wanted reasonable Democrats and
- 38:31Speaker 6: reasonable Republicans to disagree in reasonable ways on issues and
- 38:36Speaker 6: have some sort of check and balance in our.
- 38:38Speaker 8: System that always existed.
- 38:40Speaker 6: Like that was the goal, that was the dream, and
- 38:43Speaker 6: then everybody would go have a dinner or beer after
- 38:46Speaker 6: debating on Capitol Hill, not wish for each other to
- 38:49Speaker 6: be like shot and killed, which feels like what it is.
- 38:52Speaker 8: Now, all right, we're gonna take one more break.
- 38:54Speaker 6: After the break, like I said, We're gonna try to
- 38:56Speaker 6: have some fun because darn it, you can't do serious
- 38:58Speaker 6: stuff all day long. You'll see, we'll have some other
- 39:01Speaker 6: audio to play. So Craig Collins Show KSEV seven hundred am,
- 39:06Speaker 6: the Voice of Text. This is the Craig Collins Show
- 39:08Speaker 6: KSV seven hundred am, the Voice of Texas.
- 39:11Speaker 8: Jimmy X. The Second Power is called in Jimmy X
- 39:14Speaker 8: to the Second Power. What'd you want to say?
- 39:17Speaker 1: Hey, brother Craig, I just want to tell you there's
- 39:19Speaker 1: a difference between conservative white Christians and your liberal left.
- 39:24Speaker 1: I like what Joe Rogan said about, you know, having
- 39:27Speaker 1: the blue center and then the red around it. Sure,
- 39:30Speaker 1: and just pointing this out even Jesus himself and talking
- 39:34Speaker 1: to his disciples, he said, hey, they don't believe like us.
- 39:37Speaker 1: Do you want us to do anything about it? And
- 39:39Speaker 1: he goes, no, yeah, leave it alone, because if you
- 39:43Speaker 1: let the terrors grow with the wheat, it can be
- 39:45Speaker 1: separated out at the harvest. If you start tearing out. Now,
- 39:49Speaker 1: you tear the whole crop up. And that's the way
- 39:52Speaker 1: a true believer believes. We don't have to destroy them.
- 39:56Speaker 1: We just exist with them to the best that we
- 39:59Speaker 1: know how, and it will all be sorted out in
- 40:02Speaker 1: the end. But we must hold our brand and have
- 40:07Speaker 1: our roots deep. Yeah, that's my point.
- 40:10Speaker 6: Wow, that's eloquently said, and great thing to pull from
- 40:16Speaker 6: Jesus that he said to his disciples, because you're absolutely right,
- 40:19Speaker 6: And if people were more reasonable in the world of politics,
- 40:22Speaker 6: I think there would be more value to the way
- 40:24Speaker 6: that some of these discussions go. We're just so far
- 40:27Speaker 6: from most people having a reasonable version of discourse that
- 40:30Speaker 6: that's really the shame.
- 40:31Speaker 8: That's what Charlie Kirk was after, in.
- 40:33Speaker 6: My opinion, was discourse to find a place of common ground,
- 40:38Speaker 6: or at least to demonstrate why we think the things
- 40:41Speaker 6: we do, so you can't vilify us for our positions.
- 40:44Speaker 6: And he was killed for believing that, which is horrible.
- 40:47Speaker 6: Go ahead, what else you want to say.
- 40:50Speaker 1: Well, I was just going to say that that's exactly right.
- 40:52Speaker 1: The only thing that we don't compromise on is those
- 40:55Speaker 1: things that are stated principles of our faith. Sure, we
- 40:58Speaker 1: can't compromise on those, but we can't run over you
- 41:02Speaker 1: with them either, because God is love. Yeah, and so
- 41:05Speaker 1: we stand love to the point that it starts to
- 41:08Speaker 1: violate His principles.
- 41:09Speaker 8: Wow, really well, said Jimmy X to the Second Power.
- 41:13Speaker 8: Thank you for calling in.
- 41:14Speaker 6: Do you have anything else, any of other pearls of
- 41:16Speaker 6: wisdom you want to throw on us before we get
- 41:17Speaker 6: out of here?
- 41:19Speaker 1: Well, for people that are getting tired, I just want
- 41:21Speaker 1: to remind them of this. You must keep believing. You
- 41:23Speaker 1: must keep the faith because I've been taught all my
- 41:27Speaker 1: life that when fatigue comes in, faith walks out. So
- 41:31Speaker 1: don't get tired, don't give up, and continue to hold
- 41:34Speaker 1: the faith for what we stand for.
- 41:37Speaker 6: Thank you very much, Jimmy XK to the Second Power
- 41:39Speaker 6: literally just crushed it as far as a guest goes
- 41:42Speaker 6: in the show or a phone call goes in this show.
- 41:45Speaker 6: And I feel motivated now, Jimmy, to do something. I
- 41:49Speaker 6: don't know what I'm going to do, but I should
- 41:50Speaker 6: do something after your advice. My wife is out of
- 41:53Speaker 6: town this week. I feel like I should go home
- 41:55Speaker 6: and fix something. I feel incredibly motivated to try to
- 41:58Speaker 6: do stuff. I know we got one more call that
- 42:00Speaker 6: Phil is trying to screen quickly. We only have a
- 42:02Speaker 6: few minutes left before we get out of here.
- 42:05Speaker 8: Oh, he's got it. It's ready to go.
- 42:06Speaker 1: Call her.
- 42:07Speaker 8: What's your name, Jimmy X. Oh, this is Jimmy X.
- 42:11Speaker 8: How you doing, buddy?
- 42:14Speaker 1: Well?
- 42:14Speaker 7: I don't often disagree with Jimmy X to the Second Power,
- 42:18Speaker 7: but I vehemently disagree with this.
- 42:22Speaker 8: Got got it?
- 42:23Speaker 7: Okay, So, first of all, as a good Catholic, the
- 42:28Speaker 7: Gospel two weeks ago was exactly what Jimmy X the
- 42:32Speaker 7: Second Power were talking about in terms of the weeds
- 42:35Speaker 7: and the growth and all that sort of stuff. The difference, though,
- 42:39Speaker 7: is that we have an opposition that does not want
- 42:42Speaker 7: to cod this with us. We have a religion that
- 42:47Speaker 7: wants to annihilate us. We have a system of government
- 42:52Speaker 7: called communism that wants to annihilate us. There is no
- 42:57Speaker 7: peaceful transition from capitalism to communism. It has always been
- 43:03Speaker 7: a violent conflict in the history of the world. That's
- 43:07Speaker 7: not going to change. So it's very challenging to quote
- 43:10Speaker 7: get along and coexist when they want to literally annihilate you.
- 43:16Speaker 6: Yeah, I appreciate you calling in saying that Jimmy, because
- 43:19Speaker 6: I agree with you, and I do think that the
- 43:23Speaker 6: version of what I was most entertained by or most
- 43:27Speaker 6: enjoyed of Jimmy X to the second Powers call was
- 43:30Speaker 6: the idyllic version of society that I wish we lived in,
- 43:32Speaker 6: where people were reasonable on the other side, and conversation
- 43:36Speaker 6: was valuable and growth was possible. Like all those things,
- 43:39Speaker 6: I wish they did exist, And so I love the
- 43:42Speaker 6: concept in a world where we don't have Marxist crazy
- 43:46Speaker 6: communists trying to take over this country, but we do.
- 43:50Speaker 6: And you say it very plainly, and I'll say it
- 43:52Speaker 6: very plainly, and that's the reason I can't actually just
- 43:56Speaker 6: simply ignore the insane rhetoric that comes from that side.
- 44:00Speaker 6: I attack it on this radio show because they're not
- 44:03Speaker 6: the types of people that might be growing in the
- 44:05Speaker 6: wrong direction but hopefully someday come back onto the path
- 44:09Speaker 6: that's that's better.
- 44:10Speaker 8: Unfortunately, a lot of these people seem lost for good.
- 44:15Speaker 7: They're also extremely violent, although they are portrayed our side
- 44:20Speaker 7: as the violent side, Yes say of the violent side,
- 44:23Speaker 7: and then we see it over and over and over
- 44:25Speaker 7: and over and over again. They just want to They
- 44:28Speaker 7: own the media, and they own entertainment. They own most
- 44:33Speaker 7: of the news cycle, so they can say anything they want,
- 44:36Speaker 7: and they do, and they say we're violent right wing
- 44:41Speaker 7: extremists when it's actually their side.
- 44:45Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 44:45Speaker 6: No, And referencing, referencing Charlie Kirk like I did in
- 44:48Speaker 6: the last phone call is a demonstration of what you're saying.
- 44:51Speaker 8: Charlie just wanted to talk to people, and they killed
- 44:53Speaker 8: him for it.
- 44:55Speaker 7: They shot him, they killed him, they assassinated him, and
- 44:59Speaker 7: all dude wanted to do talk right, So horrible. Anyway,
- 45:05Speaker 7: I love Jimmy X to the Second Power, the great guy.
- 45:08Speaker 8: Yes, I just don't agree, absolutely disagree on this.
- 45:12Speaker 6: Well, and I'll say this to you before before yeah,
- 45:16Speaker 6: before you go, because I know we only got a
- 45:17Speaker 6: couple minutes, but I'll keep you for a couple of
- 45:18Speaker 6: minutes because I'll say this, You and Jimmy disagreeing the
- 45:21Speaker 6: way you're disagreeing right now is exactly the type of
- 45:24Speaker 6: thing that he wants.
- 45:25Speaker 8: The type of thing that he's talking.
- 45:26Speaker 6: About people reasonably disagree with each other and having a
- 45:31Speaker 6: way to back up their feeling.
- 45:32Speaker 8: Unfortunately, the left doesn't do this. The right does this.
- 45:35Speaker 6: We talk about stuff with nuance, and we disagree with
- 45:38Speaker 6: each other, and no one hates each other at the
- 45:40Speaker 6: end of it, wants to harm each other. They they
- 45:43Speaker 6: can't process information the way that you and the other caller,
- 45:47Speaker 6: Jimmy X to the Second Power just did. And I'm
- 45:50Speaker 6: sure he's not even mad at you, but like literally,
- 45:52Speaker 6: this end show is an example of what we should
- 45:55Speaker 6: have and don't have between the parties.
- 46:00Speaker 7: On your show.
- 46:01Speaker 8: Now, I do drop, Thank you, buddy, Yeah.
- 46:05Speaker 6: I do, and you can call in a next Thursday
- 46:08Speaker 6: because I've known that guy. For anybody that doesn't know,
- 46:11Speaker 6: On Thursday, now, I bring on a pretty left leaning guy.
- 46:15Speaker 6: I describe him as very left leaning. He himself seems
- 46:18Speaker 6: to think he's not. He's often told me at times
- 46:20Speaker 6: that he sees himself more in the middle, and then
- 46:23Speaker 6: when we talk about certain issues, I can't fathom the middle.
- 46:26Speaker 6: But he's a very funny guy when I'm not talking
- 46:28Speaker 6: about politics. He's a guy that I've known a long
- 46:30Speaker 6: time in radio, and I like him and I'm willing
- 46:33Speaker 6: to debate him. I'm one hundred percent willing to do it.
- 46:36Speaker 6: And the goal of me and him is very similar
- 46:39Speaker 6: to the goal of the Amigos on Friday to show
- 46:42Speaker 6: that you can share a microphone, share a conversation with
- 46:46Speaker 6: someone across the aisle, and not hate them.
- 46:49Speaker 8: Although there are things he says that I.
- 46:51Speaker 6: Think are insane and I don't know where they and
- 46:53Speaker 6: I actually think he's an intelligent guy outside of some
- 46:56Speaker 6: of the things he says in the world of politics,
- 46:58Speaker 6: so even more so. But yes, I will keep doing that.
- 47:01Speaker 6: And Noonon even texted me after the second version of
- 47:04Speaker 6: that show, which I was this past Thursday, and said,
- 47:07Speaker 6: do you think like your bosses are ever going to
- 47:09Speaker 6: get mad? And I said, no, man, you don't know
- 47:12Speaker 6: my bosses. You don't know what they believe in, what
- 47:14Speaker 6: they do, And honestly, our side, our side's not gonna
- 47:17Speaker 6: get mad at noon and saying stuff, Well, they might
- 47:20Speaker 6: get mad. I should take that back. They're going to
- 47:22Speaker 6: disagree with him, but they might, you know, just handle
- 47:25Speaker 6: it differently than left Wood. They're not going to demand
- 47:28Speaker 6: he shut up. We're just gonna tell him how he's
- 47:30Speaker 6: wrong again and again and again, because on a lot
- 47:33Speaker 6: of that stuff, I think he is all right.
- 47:35Speaker 8: That's it. That's the show.
- 47:36Speaker 6: Thrilled to be with you as always, KSV seven hundred
- 47:39Speaker 6: am the Voice of Texas This is the Craig Collins
- 47:42Speaker 6: Show from six to seven o'clock every single night on
- 47:45Speaker 6: this station.
